Harry2007 Tue 07-Jan-14 21:13:18

So it's my first cycle of ttc number 3. I'm only 2dpo but I'm so, so impatient! grin

Anyone else entering the 2ww madness? X

Mrsmorrison13 Tue 07-Jan-14 21:23:49

Yip !! Lol ill be 9dpo tomorrow went nuts today and poas - bfn but what did I expect , it's certainly a tense time lol with Lots of symptom watching ! Going gaga lol I'm TTC #1 cycle 4 x

Harry2007 Tue 07-Jan-14 21:59:21

I honestly am usually a very rational person...other than during the 2ww!

I have at least another twelve days of this...don't think I'll make it to the other side at this rate! grin

Lottystar Tue 07-Jan-14 23:36:03

It's just a bloody killer, nothing in life gets me so anxious or obsessive than the tww. On 7po now, I estimate. Guessing I ovulated a day after positive opk, so the or there abouts. Can I hang out with you ladies whilst we inevitably symptom spot and get more and more hormonal? smile

Harry2007 Tue 07-Jan-14 23:43:58

Of course lotty....welcome!

I had three positive opk's this cycle so goodness only knows when I did actually ovulate!

Sometimesbrunette Tue 07-Jan-14 23:55:22

Hello! I'm a newbie too trying to concieve #1. I'm due AF on 13th and ovulated on day 14 and 15. Been using the sperm meets baby plan. Any other tips or suggestions.

Hi. I'm going loopy. Got another 10 days to wait and I'm symptom spotting like crazy (way too early I know). I'm ttc #2 but didn't do any of this with #1 as he was a happy accident. Just been on amazon and bought a load of pg test! I've got to find something to occupy me for the next few days!!

Lottystar Wed 08-Jan-14 00:06:24

Thanks, nice to have some company! I am trying ttc # 3 after a mc in October hmm Whilst like you ladies I'm symptom spotting, I feel less positive this month as last month I felt sure and was wrong ... I find it hard to trust my instinct these days as I want it so much. With my two dcs I fell pregnant really easily and now having a fertility nightmare. I count myself as blessed with two but can't switch off that broody need for another x

Harry2007 Wed 08-Jan-14 00:12:57

Harry waves to polythenegirl and sometimesbrunette

Ds1 was kind of not planned, ruptured ectopic with my second pregnancy and lost my left Fallopian tube (but saved my life so can't complain!) and was successful on the first attempt at ttc ds2...which can't help but give me high expectations this time!

I've checked three times today that it's still Tuesday because it seems that I've been on 2dpo for at least three days!

Mrsmorrison13 Wed 08-Jan-14 00:19:40

Hi guys , it's exciting to have company :-)) I'm worried as my symptoms sore boobs etc have kind if dies down but I keep getting that jelly leg dizzy head feeling. I had really bad af symptoms all last week never usually bothered but they are better now ? Lol but not due until sat

It's sooooo long away x

Lotty, stay positive, it will probably happen when you least expect it. How long have you been trying?

Hi Harry! I haven't tried opk yet but think I'll try them next cycle if I'm not lucky next week. I hear all this poas is addictive though?!

Harry2007 Wed 08-Jan-14 00:30:10

Hi to Mrsmorrison

Oh my gosh, I've just found a remedy for constantly thinking about ttc! Take a look at the 'most active' threads...'son is sexually active...'

I've been laughing so hard, not at the original post, but at the replies, that I'm waking up DH with my giggling. It's not a thread for the more prudish of disposition, but it's rather funny!

Harry2007 Wed 08-Jan-14 00:31:21

If it makes you feel any better mrsmorrison I didn't get any symptoms in the 2ww with ds2.

Mrsmorrison13 Wed 08-Jan-14 00:38:44

I'm gonna check out that thread lol x

Harry2007 Wed 08-Jan-14 00:46:38

It's in the teenage section of 'parenting' mrsmorrison...better get there quickly before it gets deleted blush

Mrsmorrison13 Wed 08-Jan-14 00:55:54

Read it - oh my! I don't know about you but I feel like on this conception area people are lovely but on the other sections its a quick as people can ram their opinions down your throat and be quite nasty with it ? That post was prob fake but I've seen others and I've thought oh no that's a but unfair ? X

Haha that it's incredibly funny!

Harry2007 Wed 08-Jan-14 00:59:52

I definitely know what you mean! I think the problem is that there have been so many ludicrous fake posts over the last week, that anything a bit odd is attracting quite a bit of ridicule. I feel sorry for the person who posted if it is actually genuine. Each to their own I suppose!

Let's stay on the conception topic...everyone's nice here! smile

Still 9 days off AF/BFP but I've got period pains (cramping and back ache). Feeling pretty grim tbh.

threebee Wed 08-Jan-14 11:31:39

Coming to join you ladies… I'm approximately 4dpo going by previous cycles/OPK. I didn't end up charting this month because sleep schedule was all messed up over Christmas! Fingers crossed for us all.

Lottystar Wed 08-Jan-14 16:11:21

Thanks - I know I should stay positive but it's tough! Fed up of seeing negative tests. I hope the witch stays away tho PolytheneGirl, keeping my fingers crossed for all of us. One of us at least must get our BFP? Hopefully all wink

I had a wee chuckle when you guys were discussing how harsh some MNetters can be. Some are absolutely awful imo, if you think a post is ludicrous don't post, just ignore or report. I think some folk just like to be inflammatory and bully online as it's easy to hide behind a screen.

Lottystar Wed 08-Jan-14 16:11:55

Oh and welcome threebee smile

angelicjen Wed 08-Jan-14 17:30:38

5 days to go and also distracting myself by marvelling at the rudeness of people on other boards. Glad you lot are so nice grin

MrsM you are getting close now! How you feeling? Isn't this week going slow!

smorgasborgen Wed 08-Jan-14 17:32:08

I'm so ready t join this thread! trying for 8 months one mc two months ago at eight weeks more or less. managed t DTD on positive opk and now having spotting (5 p.o) . this bus gonna b a looong two weeks. pass the monster munch and wine!

sebsmummy1 Wed 08-Jan-14 17:39:26

I'm here. 5 dpo ( I think). First month using the CB fertility monitor and of course the bastard thing throws me up a thousand highs and no peak. Looking at the sticks and going from previous cycles I think I ov on cd13. I have short cycles so will know that I'm out pretty soon.

I am TTC #2 and am on cycle 7 with a 14 month old.

No symptoms of interest. I had no symptoms in the early stages of my last pregnancy, it was only the very dark implantation bleed days before my AF was due that made me test at all.

Good luck everyone xxxxx

I'm trying to stay positive. I'm wondering if today's period type pains could be to do with implantation. I'm only 5-6 dpo. Just purchased some pg tests online. They say you can test 4dys before missed AF. I think I'm going to be very tempted to poas when they arrive!

Even though I have 1DS already I've never actually poas before as I found out I was having him when I was admitted to hospital. So it's all very new and exciting!

Mrsmorrison13 Wed 08-Jan-14 18:02:33

Hi everyone , yes a lot of keyboard gangsters around lol glad I've met a lovely wee bunch here and over on my implantation bleeding thread :-)) so today I'm 9 DPO another bfn this morning , I totally knew it was going to be the case lol as it's too early as it wasn't a frer but I have enough tests to test each morning until Sunday. My cramping really peaked at 4-5 DPO and have settled to nothing now my boobs are still tender but it feels weird as I'm closer to af now so you would think it's the other way around ? I am going to be so disappointed as I've actually convinced myself this cycle is the one lol . Af due on Friday so we will see the tests I use are 20 whatever sensitivity so I'm not sure when they would show a positive ? Oh and also my new obsession watching you tube videos of people getting there bfb - I know I've officially lost it right ? Lol shock

Mrsmorrison13 Wed 08-Jan-14 18:04:04

* BFP sorry lol

StrawbRhi Wed 08-Jan-14 18:38:48

Hi ladies, may I join you?

Been ttc #2 for 2 years now (seriously trying for a year). I have PCOS and am on my 4 or 5th cycle of clomid. I've lost count!

Ov late in cycle on cd32, honestly thought I wasn't going to this month! Dtd that night but not before or since due to illness.

Now 5/6 dpo and starting to get anxious. Kept falling asleep yesterday, been really grouchy and temps are up so far. Had some twinges yesterday but very faint and brief so Not taking them into consideration. And I have this weird feeling that this is 'it', which is weird because I'm naturally really negative!

Not sure if I even want to test next week just in case it's another negative!

Mrsmorrison13 Wed 08-Jan-14 19:13:51

Welcome strawb smile

Sounds good fingers crossed I think there is a lot to be said about guy instinct x

Lottystar Wed 08-Jan-14 19:15:10

Awr Smorgasborgen, you had your mc around the same time as me. Makes ttc even harder in some respects as I know if I get a bfp again I'll be worried sick all 9 months!

20 is quite sensitive, it seems you can begin testing a few days before your af due date.

Isn't it uncanny how we are all actively ttc, in the 2ww and having pregnancy symptoms? I know hormonal symptoms are similar but psychologically the very wish to be pregnant is soooo powerful. I'm honestly frightened to test this month, can't bear the anticipation for another negative.

Lottystar Wed 08-Jan-14 19:18:53

Btw ladies I'm a self diagnosed poas addict. Promised myself not to do a test until the day my af is due next Tues / Weds. Going to be super hardx

Sometimesbrunette Wed 08-Jan-14 19:23:34

I'm 7 days to go. Had a few low stabbing pains over the past few days but that's it. I'm considering not doing an early pregnancy test tomorrow either, figure any test will let me know for sure nearer the time and they are damn expensive

starchildmum Wed 08-Jan-14 20:56:17

Hi

TTC Baby number 2. DD is now 16 month and I so much want another one. :-)

This is my 4th cycle since we decided to go for it again but it the first cycle I am taking it more serious and with OPK the fist time as well and boom, a smily face and DTT the day after. Now I am 8DPO and have 7 days to go. Next Wednesday is my test day and of curse I ordered some tests from amazon too. ;-)

It drives me nuts!!!!

So glad we have found each other....

Important!

When are your test days???? Mine is 15/1 ( but will give it a shot on the 14th grin

Hi star. I'm due to test on 17th but was thinking of testing in 14th too. I know it's early but I'm going insane here!

Lottystar Wed 08-Jan-14 21:07:33

My d day starts from the 17th as well x

starchildmum Wed 08-Jan-14 21:21:50

DPO blood urin save to test

OV+12 20-59 1,90-13,10
OV+13 33-91 8-35 10er
OV+14 57-140 20-59 25 er
OV+15 100-252 33-91 10er / 25er/ 50er

From this table testing could be done 12 days PO with a 10er and it might show if you are lucky and on 13PO with a 10 or 25 but you might get false negatives.....
Having said that you all need to be very sure when OV has taken place otherwise it does not work.

If you want to see the complete table ( colour coded etc, its in German but pretty staightforaed type in hgc tabelle into GOOGLE
www.wunschkinder.net/forum/file/3/.../filename=SST-HCG-Tabelle.pdf‎

starchildmum Wed 08-Jan-14 21:25:18

sorry table ended up very unclear.

starchildmum Wed 08-Jan-14 21:27:26

Polythenegirl 17 January
Lottystar 17 January

.......let keep collecting :-)

MooMa1d Wed 08-Jan-14 21:34:54

I'm on 2WW but for some reason don't feel very confident about it - no signs or otherwise other than extra cm which is unusual 5dpo for me.

I just don't 'feel' pregnant... but then why would I hmm

Doesn't help that i'm so impatient

Hermionewastherealhero Wed 08-Jan-14 21:37:21

I am ttc baby number 2, my DS is 16 months. This is our 2nd cycle. I said we would be relaxed until the summer but I am obsessed. My 2ww ends next wed or thur I think.
Fingers crossed for everyone.

starchildmum Wed 08-Jan-14 21:47:41

Starchild 15 January
Polythenegirl 17 January
Lottystar 17 January
Hermionewastherealhero 17/18 January

starchildmum Wed 08-Jan-14 21:50:36

GlitterLily11 Wed 08-Jan-14 22:10:15

Hey ladies. Im 12dpo today, got a faint line on an ic so will test again tomorrow friday :-)

Ive had loads of symptoms, but the most noticeable for me was:

4-8dpo, strong cramping
8-10dpo, change in cm, it was ew but tinged yellow
10dpo, totes emotional. Cried at an advert cos the dog looked sad and cried uncontrollably at a song on the radio
11dpo-12dpo, can smell EVERYTHING!!!

FX u all get your bfps this month xx

MooMa1d Wed 08-Jan-14 22:12:28

Oooooh glitterlily grin

starchildmum Wed 08-Jan-14 22:17:12

Congratulations Glitter. A faint line IS a line!!!! So happy for you. Look forward to hear a BIGFP on Friday.

I have had some signs too.... cramping since 5 days :-(
It started 4DPO and now I am 8DPO and I have strong period like pains and really tiered...
Hope its not all psychological.

xxmissbrightsidexx Wed 08-Jan-14 22:23:59

I'm joining in smile so many symptoms but no doubt they're all in my head lol x

GlitterLily11 Wed 08-Jan-14 22:27:19

Thanks starchildmum I had the cramping too, annoying isnt it! Especially when we want it to mean something lol. Fx its a positive sign xx

Congrats Glittet, got my fx for you. I've had terrible cramping and back ache today (5dpo). I'm hoping this is a good sign.

DH has just upset menu suggesting I'm setting myself up to be disappointed. I'm fully aware of this, I don't need it pointing out and I am right to be excited at the possibility of getting the one thing I really want! Now I feel like I'm not allowed to be upset if I get a bfn. Pft no dtd for him tonight!!

Harry2007 Wed 08-Jan-14 22:40:16

Ooh, it's been busy on here! Harry waves to all newcomers!

I've been slightly distracted this evening as running my own business with a small child running around and refusing to go to bed has proved quite a challenge!

So it's 3dpo for me today but feels like 20dpo iykwim!

Feeling quite cramps and insatiably thirsty but that's it!

Harry2007 Wed 08-Jan-14 22:46:09

Ooh glitter could you be our first BFP!!! As I self confessed poas addict, I say, test again in the morning grin

My test day will be jan 19th...

Mrsmorrison13 Wed 08-Jan-14 22:52:41

Exciting glitter !

Guess what I just found out... The wee cheapie strips I buy from asda a pack of 2 for £1 are sensitivity 20, and the clear view double pack at £9.99 for two is sensitivity 25 !! That means the are less sens doesn't it ? Ohhh the poas rage lol

My af is due fri 10th so I guess I'm due my BFP 11th/12th ? X

Mrsmorrison13 Wed 08-Jan-14 22:55:43

Aww polythene they just don't get it , you don't ever think there would be so much anxiety and emotion before the egg even gets to the bottom if our tubes lol , I just feel different this month xx

starchildmum Wed 08-Jan-14 23:04:08

Hi harry being thirsty is not really a sing of pregnancy. grin
But of course cramping is so 10 days to go for you. Fingers X

Harry2007 Wed 08-Jan-14 23:21:05

Oh well starchildmum...he, he! grin

I've never actually had to wait until the day of af for my BFP in any of my other three pregnancies...I've always had a line 6 days before af was due. I'm just trying to tell myself that it could always be different this time though. Fingers crossed indeed thanks

Harry2007 Wed 08-Jan-14 23:22:08

They are indeed less sensitive mrsmorrison sad

sebsmummy1 Thu 09-Jan-14 10:18:51

I've had so many symptoms over the last seven cycles that I really don't believe any of them. For done reason I have started cramping in the 2ww the last two cycles. No idea why, but again it's led to nothing positive!!

I am 6dpo and off out to soft play this afternoon with my mum grin

Lottystar Thu 09-Jan-14 10:54:29

Morning ladies! Welcome to newcomers too. Thanks for starting to chart our poas day starchildmum.

I'm just constipated (sorry if tmi) Drinking loads so hoping it's a sign. I've been mega constipated in both my last pregnancies. Also my nipples look slightly a different shape and had a bit of yellowy cm. This is likely all just pre menstrual signs but a girl has to hope! Like you Polythene girl, my husband is a super realist about these things but he is not the one who goes through a roller coaster of emotions each cycle!!

Congrats Glitter!! Let's hope those bfps keep coming xx

GlitterLily11 Thu 09-Jan-14 11:01:24

Poas this morning and got another very faint bfp. Going to asda on my lunch break to pick up some frer and cbd to see if I get anything on those.

Fingers x :-)

lottystar symptoms sounds promising hun xx

FenellaHalls Thu 09-Jan-14 11:11:14

Hi Everyone waves I'm new here, not sure of all the abbreviations that are used so please be patient with me :0) my partner an I have been trying for only 3 months, I'm 9 dpo and feeling sick, bloated, boobs are gonna explode, exhausted, got a cold, extremely emotional (to the point of crying or wanting to slap random strangers!) I had some odd sharp poking pains in low right of stomach this morning and I feel pregnant but don't trust my instincts as my last child is now 14 so I can't really remember how I felt with the beginning of pregnancy! :0/ sooo in just gonna leave this post here and wish you all luck with your waiting. Personally the waiting is driving me to distractions like housework an that's never good ;0) lol

Lottystar Thu 09-Jan-14 11:51:51

Welcome Fernellahalls, you are also very welcome. I say don't trust those symptoms until you see your first positive test, not being mean but it can just be so disappointing otherwise! Good luck to you!

A few abbreviations:

Poas - pee on a stick
Ttc - trying to conceive
2ww - two week wait
Af or also witch - period
DH / DP - hubby or partner
DC / DCs - child / children
DD - daughter
DS - son

I'm quite new to MN so if anyone can expand on any others that's cool.

Feel quite sick, just poas as I felt quite sick any caved in. No self discipline. There is a super, super faint line!!!

Lottystar Thu 09-Jan-14 11:53:03

Er, I was very "welcoming" in that last post - can you tell I'm excited x

StrawbRhi Thu 09-Jan-14 11:53:29

Glad to see someone already getting some results!

I'm now 6/7 dpo and my breasts feel heavy and achy. Not painful or some just... Ache. DH said he didn't notice anything until he weighed them in his palms and said 'bloody heck!'. Some more mild cramping and going to the toilet more often, but I'm still not getting my hopes up. After 2 years there isn't much hope left anyway.

DH woke up this morning and told me he had a dream where I announced a pregnancy by placing a pair of blue booties on the mantelpiece. He kept telling dream me that it wasn't real to which dream me replied 'who dreams about this?!' He then had the same dream 2 more times in the night.

I'm not superstitious although he is. If nothing else it's given me an awesome plan for the announcement if there is one and mess with his head at the same time. Because we're loving like that ;)

Lottystar Thu 09-Jan-14 11:54:53

Gosh I hope it's not an evaporation line. The tests I have are amazon cheapies but but 15 ml.

Sometimesbrunette Thu 09-Jan-14 12:02:35

wow! you girls are really good and organised about the symptom spotting. i have had a few cramps in-between my hips but nothing else so far. been a bit narky but to be honest, thats normal. I am due on 13th January so 4 days before my missed period. I'm not sure i can handle the disappointment of testing though. when should i test? is it better to wait, i don't want to waste money of the test isn't going to be accurate yet.

smorgasborgen Thu 09-Jan-14 12:22:57

I find that when it comes t testing I get scared t test, was it a couple of days ... and then test, by which point period has rocked up or its late! I'm due the eighteenth I think... mc in November so I think cycle maybe all over the place! hmm

smorgasborgen Thu 09-Jan-14 15:36:29

sorry lottystar that u mc at the same time as me. I had spotting through most of the pregnancy so never could relax. had a scan four days before the mc and all looked well. did u spot much before mc if by don't mind me asking?

if I get pregnant again, it will b very difficult not t knicker check\worry constantly! x

Greentoothbrush Thu 09-Jan-14 16:17:44

Hi all, congrats to those with BFP! I'm 95% new around here and on first cycle of ttc. Just beginning my 2ww now, sure I ov'd yesterday, but that's to be confirmed with another stick later.
How soon do you guys test for BFP? I was 2 weeks late for AF with my first before I got the faintest of lines!!! I thought it was never going to come.

GlitterLily11 Thu 09-Jan-14 16:46:00

POAS again this afternoon. It was an asda cheapie and I cant even make out a line, thinking it may now just be chemical :-(

Mrsmorrison13 Thu 09-Jan-14 16:49:48

Glitter was the test you got from asda less sensitive ? Maybe you were just at the tolerance for the ic earlier and tomorrow might be better ?

I was sent home from work today have the worst headache and can't keep anythink down hmm

Sometimesbrunette Thu 09-Jan-14 17:21:44

Did a first response test and its a negative. AF due on Monday. So the first cycle has worked heres to the next one. I can see how this is frustrating x

Sometimesbrunette Thu 09-Jan-14 17:24:03

hasn't worked rather! x

GlitterLily11 Thu 09-Jan-14 17:24:49

Major update: 10 mins after my last post I returned to my test and found a pink line!!!!! Have read up about evap lines and apparently they are a myth!!!! Eeeeeeeee xxx

starchildmum Thu 09-Jan-14 17:29:45

sometimebrunette.
Dont test today. If you have lots of spare money you can buy a high quality first response test. Otherwise wait and test on the day your period is due/missed.

I have spend a fortune with my first. Stated testing 5,4,3 days before and then had a faint line, tested again another faint line, tested 2 days before a big line. And a lot of cycles before in a similar pattern.

Its addictive and so pointless. If you can be a bit more patient, be patient and test at the right time otherwise you will go nuts like me.

Tested today and I am not due for another 6 days..... I knew it was negative.... sorry very nutty.

sebsmummy1 Thu 09-Jan-14 17:39:38

My understanding is evap lines tend to be grey or translucent. If it's pink I would say it's most likely positive. Wait until you get a nice strong line though until you start telling people (I made the mistake of telling my mother I was pregnant based on a faint false positive) I felt devastated when AF showed up hours later.

Sometimesbrunette Thu 09-Jan-14 17:40:42

star child mum- i did a first response test today. my boobs were heavier (my other half commented) so i thought id test. it was an indulgent purchase, going to be getting somme pound land tests for the next
cycle. may do another test if AF doesn't turn up. I think I will be just as nutty.

To make it worse, i broke down on the way home from boots. 300 years from my house. waiting for the AA decided to post on Facebook and a friend with 3 kids commented on my status 'try it when you have 3 screaming kids in the car!'. Bit insensitive when she knows I've had a MC and am trying again. oh well.

congratulations to everyone with BFPs!

Sometimesbrunette Thu 09-Jan-14 17:41:19

yards not years! I'm not into space travel ;-)

Lottystar Thu 09-Jan-14 17:57:45

Did a First Response test (couldn't wait until the morning) and there was the pink line! I can't believe it! I'm only 9dpo. Trying not to get too tho excited because of the mc in October.

I didn't have much spotting before my last mc Smorgen, just pink discharge the day before it all kicked off. I knew it was very wrong as I have never bled otherwise with my pregnancies.

Thanks for the congrats ladies, I'm still in disbelief xxgrin

GlitterLily11 Thu 09-Jan-14 17:59:26

Yeah definitely keeping it under my hat until I get a solid pink line. The line I have is definitely pink and definitely there, but as im only 13dpo and not late af yet will save the sharing for a few more days xxx

GlitterLily11 Thu 09-Jan-14 18:08:59

Congratulations lottystar high five!!! Lol

I have 3 tests left and a bundle of ic's so fx my line keeps getting darker and darker :-) xxx

StrawbRhi Thu 09-Jan-14 18:46:19

Congrats lottystar and glitter!!

Here's hoping your positive vibes rub off on the rest of us too grin

Squeakybeaky Thu 09-Jan-14 21:11:22

Can I please jump in on this post! Today is my ov day so will be in the 2ww tomorrow. We have dtd the last 3 nights, will do tonight and then prob for a couple more nights.....zzzzzzzz.

I'm only on cycle 1 but might as well go for it.;) not looking forward to the 2ww, it will seem like an eternity.

Mahoosive congrats to the recent BFPS, how exciting! Hope those lines get darker and stronger for you. I always tested early with other pregnancies so can't imagine I'll be any different this time.....

threebee Thu 09-Jan-14 21:32:01

Congratulations lottystar and GlitterLily!

Nothing much to report here, still only about 5dpo so will keep lurking!

KittyKK Fri 10-Jan-14 06:40:46

Hello ladies....wonderful news on the BFPs already this month.

I'm another 2ww'er....on 10dpo and I've already done 6 tests (5 ICs and 1 CBdigi)...all BFN sad

Was just thinking about a time I did a pregnancy test when I was much younger and watching it with "please be no, please be no" running through my head! Now 16 years later, I can only think "please be yes"....sniff sob x

KittyKK Fri 10-Jan-14 06:45:36

Haha....anyone else pinching their own nipples to see if they're sore????

Mrsmorrison13 Fri 10-Jan-14 07:24:24

Morning kitty - yes guilty as charged lol !

Just an update after a day of throwing up yesterday I have done an early pregnancy test of 12.5 sensitivity and there is a very faint barely visible line shock my af is due today and still feel like she's gonna come so don't know what to think ?!? Will just have to wait till tomorrow - torture ! - and see if any darker

Fingers crossed its not another chemical xx

GlitterLily11 Fri 10-Jan-14 08:52:19

Chin up Kitty, 10dpo is still early to be testing. Im 14dpo today and still getting only a faint bfp. Im a POAS addict as well so am not going to discourage you from testing because I did the same thing. Ruled myself out at 11dpo cos kept seeing bfns and then on 12dpo I started getting v v v faint lines xx hang in there xx

Mrsmorrison, that sounds very promising. Fingers crossed for you xx

Lottystar Fri 10-Jan-14 09:57:00

Thanks for the congrats ladies, I did another FR test this morning and the line is quite clear and darker. No squinting and holding it up to the light. I'm soooo happy but wary too as so early on and my last ended in a mc at 7 weeks. I'm 10dpo today, at a guesstimation.

Congrats to you too Glitter! And MrMorrison too - I hope that line is darker for you tomorrow.

I'm not sure if you guys want to know the symptoms I had prior to the bfp, I know it is different for each lady but it may be an insight:

Really dry mouth on a few occasions
Creamy yellow CM
Constipation
Thirsty
A few cramps
Slight backache
Occasional headache
Super tired

Wishing you all bfps xx

Mrsmorrison13 Fri 10-Jan-14 10:33:25

Congrats lotty, did you feel like af was still gonna come that's how I'm feeling trying to put it to the back if my mind x

smorgasborgen Fri 10-Jan-14 10:50:45

many congrats lotty! I had a dry mouth this morning but then I did sleep four ten hours straight...

its a brilliant thing but obviously you'll b worried for a while. sure it will b all good.x

GlitterLily11 Fri 10-Jan-14 10:59:15

Good idea with syptoms for you early dpo spotter's. Mine were:

Awful cramping between 1-9dpo
Slight nausea and hot flash at 8dpo
Yellow tinged cm
Hot sensation in cervix
Breathless
Tiredness
10-14dpo can smell everything
Tightening and pulling sensation in cervix

Hope this helps. I did another test this morning and the line is much darker :-)

Xx

sebsmummy1 Fri 10-Jan-14 11:14:02

Awww lovely news BFPers, congratulations xxxxx

Lottystar Fri 10-Jan-14 11:59:08

MrsMorrison, I did a bit as I was getting cramping and backache, which us typical for me with pmt but the damn symptoms are so similar it's hard to know which way it will work!

I also pretty much followed the Sperm Meets Egg Plan this month, used active balance conceive spray and had acupuncture too. I'm not sure if any of those had a bearing.

Thanks Smorgen, 10 hours bliss sounds great, I'm envious despite my respectable 7 wink

We seem to be doing pretty well on this thread so far for bfps xx

StrawbRhi Fri 10-Jan-14 12:47:56

Well, this seems to be a lucky thread so I'll be sticking around here!

Today is 7/8dpo and I feel nauseous, dizzy, tired and headachy. Could just be leftover yuk for the throat infection I had 2 weeks ago though. Trying not to symptom spot but can't wait to test next week! Hurry up weds!

sebsmummy1 Fri 10-Jan-14 13:18:17

I feel a bit weird today as well but I'm sure it will prove to be nothing more than my body playing with me. My LP is 12 days long so I'll find out pretty soon if I've caught. I find AF tends to become evident two days before, so I'll know by Tuesday.

Squeakybeaky Fri 10-Jan-14 13:20:46

So I'm officially now in the 2ww at 1dpo ha ha. Can't possible symptom spot yet so I'll save myself the misery just yet.

Slight shooting pain in cervix though .....anyone else? Guess could be down to dtd quite a bit though :-/

Gonna dtd gain tonight in case ov was late then I'm looking forward to a good sleep the night after ;) exhausted!

Glitter and lotty congrats and Morrison I hope this is it for you x

Oklahoma Fri 10-Jan-14 13:58:30

Afternoon Ladies

Currently sat at work trying (and failing) to think about anything other than the 2ww - how does anyone ever get anything done?

Think I'm 6dpo (so still a long wait to go) but very new to this so not quite sure how it all works yet. Big relief to have other people in the same boat...

Congrats to all you BFPs!

I've been ridiculously thirsty all week (but think that's probably my body recovering from Xmas rather than anything more exciting).

The wait continues...

Squeakybeaky Fri 10-Jan-14 14:21:20

Oklahoma, I got both of my last pregnancies confirmed at 10dpo so not too long to wait smile it is hard to think of anything else though isn't it?

Mrsmorrison13 Fri 10-Jan-14 14:39:43

Ladies - going nuts here shock

Can you be honest and look at this picture and see if you see the line on the left hand side - it's v faint but if you click on picture to full size then hold away a distance you might see what I see lol

http://www.canyouseealine.com/view_home_pregnancy_test.php?testID=43389

Oklahoma Fri 10-Jan-14 14:51:26

MrsM it's so hard to tell! It could be there or it could be not fingers crossed it is!

SB thanks for that, so in theory I can test on Tuesday - 4 days to go... At least it's the weekend so I won't be sat at my desk worrying for the next 2.

Squeakybeaky Fri 10-Jan-14 15:01:37

Mrs Morrison I can see a line!! Eek

Mrsmorrison13 Fri 10-Jan-14 15:25:04

Fingers crossed xx

sebsmummy1 Fri 10-Jan-14 15:27:27

I think i can see a line too. The only way to be sure is to keep testing xxx

GlitterLily11 Fri 10-Jan-14 15:28:16

Mrs M you are using the same tests that I used. Looks like a line to me and if it is like mine it will get darker and pinker over the next hour. Fingers crossed, but I definitely see a line xxxx

Mrsmorrison13 Fri 10-Jan-14 15:54:28

Eekkkk !

Got these 2 pack for 4.00 in body care they are more sensitive then clearblue and first response x

Oklahoma Fri 10-Jan-14 16:27:27

What brand are they? Anything that shortens the wait...

Hoping it's turned darker and pinker for you since!

GlitterLily11 Fri 10-Jan-14 16:27:49

12.5 aren't they? Keep us updated Mrs. Exciting!!!!

I couldn't resist and POAS again. Can officially tell everyone I am pregnant :-) bold, pink line in under 2 minutes on an early bird 20mui test xxx

Mrsmorrison13 Fri 10-Jan-14 16:54:04

Yeah they are 12.5 freaking out a bit now as when I got home from work it looked a lot fainter and it was faint to start with lol it was clearer in natural light confused x

Mrsmorrison13 Fri 10-Jan-14 16:56:07

Sorry they are called predictor early they are sold in asda and body care x

Halfbaked Fri 10-Jan-14 17:17:24

Hi can I join? 7dpo today and have been feeling queasy since yesterday morning, when I woke with a familiar horrid taste in my mouth. Seems v. early, but this is possibly pregnancy #4 and the feelings seem very familiar.
I had 2 mc's last year and have a DD who will be 4 this year. I''ve got my fingers crossed. It's DH birthday tomorrow and far too early to test, but part of me really wants to. It would be a great birthday surprise!

Mrsmorrison13 Fri 10-Jan-14 17:31:44

Welcome half baked x

starchildmum Fri 10-Jan-14 18:48:49

I see one. Did 3 4 test with my DD now 15. The first lines are always very very faint. It is very very faint, so not 100%, but I se something....
Just do another one tomorrow morning or after you did not drink for many hours.

starchildmum Fri 10-Jan-14 18:50:04

Oh Glitterlilly so happy for you!!!!!

GlitterLily11 Fri 10-Jan-14 18:56:22

Thanks star child mum :-) xxx

maeanne Sat 11-Jan-14 00:11:19

Hi, I'm a newbie - mind if I join you? This is our first cycle TTC no.2 after a few months break. I think I'm 5dpo, feeling very crampy, dizzy, and my nipples are very sore and sensitive. Trying not to read too much in to every symptom (who am I kidding?!) as I have been disappointed so many times before.

Huge congratulations to all those with BFP's!

Lottystar Sat 11-Jan-14 07:51:26

Thank you for all the congrats, I got a positive on Clear Blue digi last night and the line is really prominent this morning - I'm at last believing I'm pregnant grin

Mrsmorrison, hoping for a clearer line for you this morning! I couldn't see your picture as on a mobile device but if it's a line, it's a line! My first was super faint.

It's funny, last month I swore I was pregnant but wasn't, I had a few hormonal symptoms like sore nipples and cramping, this month I had very different symptoms - the initial dry mouth, gas, constipation, creamy cm and I didn't dare to believe incase I was disappointed again. Point I'm trying to make is that whilst common among others I do think the pregnancy symptoms you get very early on are very unique to you. I remember now this is how I felt in my other pregnancies. It's funny how you kinda forget. I'm not saying sore nipples and cramping are not symptoms for some but certainly my boobs seem to get sorer a little later in the first trimester.

Hoping for more bfps today ladies xx

Mrsmorrison13 Sat 11-Jan-14 10:14:21

My test looks negative this morning ?!? X

sebsmummy1 Sat 11-Jan-14 11:11:41

Hmmm photo?

sebsmummy1 Sat 11-Jan-14 11:14:34

Lofty I can remember in my last pregnancy my boobs didn't change or get sore until about 8 weeks in. So for me I know sore boobs early on are not a sign. Implantation bleed was the only indication I had that I was pregnant last time.

Well I'm 8 dpo and nothing to report. I don't think I'm pregnant but obviously I wish I was. Hhrumph.

sebsmummy1 Sat 11-Jan-14 11:14:55

Lotty even!

sebsmummy1 Sat 11-Jan-14 15:18:05

OK just got quite a bit of yellow EWCM type stuff on my tissue when i wiped. Don't remember getting that before but i doubt its anything to get my hopes up about xx

GlitterLily11 Sat 11-Jan-14 16:43:33

Got my positive on clear blue digital too. It's funny, even though the other tests are saying the same thing, I didn't quite believe it until it was spelled out!! Haha!

Loving hearing all these symptoms girls, everyone sounding quite positive xx

Oklahoma Sat 11-Jan-14 17:24:23

Yay! Glitterlily that is amazing news! Massive congratulations!

I'm adding tears to my symptoms but that could just be fed up that I'm not pregnant ness. Sigh.

Some of my friends have said that when you are you just know. Has anyone here found that ?

xxmissbrightsidexx Sat 11-Jan-14 17:27:34

Checking in to say hi ladies x I got a bfp today xx

GlitterLily11 Sat 11-Jan-14 17:43:59

Congratulations missbrightside xx

Thanks for the congrats ladies, still got butterflies im that happy! Lol.

Tears were a very positive sign for me! I never get upset and started crying at an advert because a dog looked sad lol xxx

xxmissbrightsidexx Sat 11-Jan-14 17:57:32

Congratulations to you too Glitter xx

Mrsmorrison13 Sat 11-Jan-14 18:46:46

Ad has arrived hmmhmmhmm good luck ladies xxxx

Halfbaked Sat 11-Jan-14 19:47:45

Tested today bfn but 8/9dpo so to be expected. Still feeling queasy and tired.
Stupidly convinced myself I am, so I'd better get a bfp in the next week!!

Lottystar Sat 11-Jan-14 19:51:10

Sorry to hear that Mrsmorrison, fingers crossed for you next cycle.

Congratulations Miss Brightside!

I'm still on cloud nine too Glitter, can't believe I've been so lucky this month. Hoping so badly that this little bud sticks! I feel more pregnant than I did with the failed pregnancy in Oct and the lines on the pregnancy tests are dark already, that never happened with the last pregnancy. Faint lines all the way through. The constipation, whilst unpleasant gives me hope as I had constipation with both my boys.

SebsMummy, I'm just the same, sore boobs tend to kick in with the nausea around 6 weeks or so. Mind you, I've had a few spells of sicky feelings already.

When would your due date be Glitter? From my telephone app mine says around 18th Sept. I'm just pleased I'll hopefully be expecting on my last due date in June xxx

xxmissbrightsidexx Sat 11-Jan-14 20:36:09

Thanks Lottystar, congratulations to you too x Done both the digi tests and it hasn't sunk in yet, my fella can't stop smiling though x I can't help feeling somethings going to go wrong sad x

GlitterLily11 Sat 11-Jan-14 21:04:11

From my app I would be due around 20th September.

Missbrightside, I was like that with my first pregnancy, especially in the first 12 weeks. Just try to stay positive and relaxed xxx

starchildmum Sun 12-Jan-14 01:32:21

OMG! Faint line on First Response test !!!!
Not due until 15th Today is 11th so 4 days early for testing!
:-) Will test again tomorrow. Well its very faint but still already happy.
Keep u updated.

GlitterLily11 Sun 12-Jan-14 08:19:15

starchildmum that's amazing!!!!! Congratulations!! Keep us updated with your darker bfp's xxx

Lottystar Sun 12-Jan-14 10:58:59

Congrats starchildmum!! Wonderful news xxx

starchildmum Sun 12-Jan-14 17:44:01

Well, I ordered 15 cheap test for a total of £2 pounds from Amazon. Did a few in the last few days including 2 yesterday - all negative although they claim 10 HCG sensitivity.

I did 1 first response test yesterday evening and the other one this morning both times a faint line. Cheapy still negative.

So beware! Just go for the quality ones as others are very misleading.

Lottystar Sun 12-Jan-14 18:23:36

I'm finding a similar story with the amazon cheapies. I've got dark lines on First Response and positive on the CB digital and still only faint lines on the really cheap amazon ones x

Vickitoriana Sun 12-Jan-14 18:49:31

Hi guys.... Thought i'd join you.

So i am 12dpo and am starting to experience some potential pregnancy symptoms.... Namely sore, full boobies, nausea, cramping and general tiredness (not overwhelming yet though). We did the baby dance bang in the middle of my most fertile days but we used the withdrawal method... As it was new years eve/new years day and he was a little tispy I am not sure how accurate his timing was.

Heres the thing... Last feb we made a surprise baby but i miscarried at 5 weeks... I had a nasty fall and broke several bones and lost the baby just after that. I am a little terrified that the same thing could happen again. I still think about my lost little one all the time and the thought of going through that makes not want to get pregnant again.

When can i test... Because of the events the last time i didn't pick up on symptoms until i nearly puked on the dr at the fracture clinic the day my period was due.lol

Is it still too early?

sebsmummy1 Sun 12-Jan-14 19:34:16

I don't think it's too early at all, test!!! Xxx

Squeakybeaky Sun 12-Jan-14 19:34:19

Vicki, I would test now Hun or in the morning as something may show up. I'm a little confused though are you hoping for a positive or negative test?

I'm sorry to hear about your loss before - and I hope you do get the answer you would like :0)

Vickitoriana Sun 12-Jan-14 19:44:29

Hoping for a positive... But do't tell OH that. ;0)

I'm gonna get a cheapo in the morning... They seem to be the most sensitive.

And thanks... Last year was such a shock. Took me ages to get my head around.

Vickitoriana Sun 12-Jan-14 19:49:01

Congrats to all the BFPs by the way... How exciting. :0)

Squeakybeaky Sun 12-Jan-14 20:59:49

Ah I see well in that case good luck ;) keep us updated x

Vickitoriana Sun 12-Jan-14 22:01:08

Thanks... Will do. X

sebsmummy1 Mon 13-Jan-14 08:12:08

Well I can see a faint line on a clearblue test this morn, the one with the crosshairs. Thing is they at notorious for evaps, although the one I took yesterday morn had feck all on it. But more worryingly I wiped pink on a tissue this morn and there was more later. This really is very much in tune with how my period starts.

So I'll have to just see how this one develops xx

sebsmummy1 Mon 13-Jan-14 08:23:56

I've uploaded it into one of those 'is it a line?' sites as I cannot decide. What do you think?

www.canyouseealine.com/view_home_pregnancy_test.php?testID=43492

StrawbRhi Mon 13-Jan-14 08:24:33

Congrats to all the BFPs! How exciting for you!

Looks like I'm out. 10dpo and wiping pink, cm has dried up and temp took a nosedive this morning sad

Ah, well. There is always February.

StrawbRhi Mon 13-Jan-14 08:34:19

Looks a bit like a line to me, sebsmummy! Although I would admit that the wiping pink is a bit confusing. I hope it is your BFP smile

sebsmummy1 Mon 13-Jan-14 09:13:35

Well I'll find out soon enough as my period will appear by Wednesday. I'm totally on the fence.

Lottystar Mon 13-Jan-14 09:56:23

I hope Feb is your month then StrawbRhi smile

Sebsmummy, I couldn't see your pic as the site says it's no longer there but I hope af stays away. Some people have spotting in early pregnancy so still hope xx

sebsmummy1 Mon 13-Jan-14 10:30:13

I accidently deleted the bloody thing lol whilst trying to upload one id taken in good light. I think it's an evap from what I've read on t'internet. Yesterday showed nothing whatsoever but then pregnancy tests were made to send us bonkers.

Good luck everyone who's still on their 2ww xxxx

Vickitoriana Mon 13-Jan-14 10:47:02

Oh the wait to nip out and get a HPT is agonising... I have a man in cleaning my oven... Still gettin the nausea a bit... The boobie soreness could be AF.

Sorry to those who aren't getting the result they hoped for. X

GlitterLily11 Mon 13-Jan-14 11:57:12

starchildmum that's amazing!!!!! Congratulations!! Keep us updated with your darker bfp's xxx

GlitterLily11 Mon 13-Jan-14 12:39:16

Well since getting my bfp on Friday I've suddenly got heavy, aching books! No nausea yet Thank god as suffered quite bad with it last time. How are all you ladies getting on?

I had the same issue with the Internet cheapie. Clear blue and first response had clear dark lines and the it's were very faint. I am not sure whether they are lying about them being 10miu or whether they are just rubbish lol.

Looking forward to hearing some more bfp's xxx

GlitterLily11 Mon 13-Jan-14 12:39:58

Books = boobs. .... darn predictive text!!

Lottystar Mon 13-Jan-14 12:49:25

Hehe, your heavy aching books made me smile Glitter smile My nipples are darker and changing shape but no boobie discomfort otherwise yet. I did have nausea (without vomiting) most of yesterday and this morning but feeling a bit better now. I also had a sharp pain on my left side which was frightening me a little but it's eased off - I think I will be super scared until 12 weeks with this pregnancy.

It's hard to wait Vic, but try to hold off until 12dpo. I am hypocritical saying that as I got my bfp on 9dpo but my lines were faint until 11 / 12 dpo .

Good luck to everyone still on 2ww x

Vickitoriana Mon 13-Jan-14 13:10:39

Annoyingly it's a BFN for me... However, it might be early yet as i usually have a 30 day cycle... Slightly gutted.

My sense of taste has gone haywire today though... Strange!

Vickitoriana Mon 13-Jan-14 13:12:52

Congrats lottystar... So exciting! X

GlitterLily11 Mon 13-Jan-14 14:27:29

Haha! Heavy, aching books..... lol. Stupid phone!

Try not to worry about the little pains, I am lead to believe this is your uterus beginning to stretch and also, as the little apple pip has now latched on, you may get the odd twinge as it grows rapidly over the next weeks.

Vikitoriana, your symptoms sound promising. Based on a 30 day cycle you may have to wait another few days yet though to start seeing some faint lines. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

smorgasborgen Mon 13-Jan-14 16:00:39

hey guys. feeling really sad! started bleeding today. bright red blood on the way t work. just feel really down about it. I had aching breasts all night the night before last which stopped me sleeping ...exact same symptom as my first n last pregnancy which failed at seven and a half weeks. sad sad wine wine

Vickitoriana Mon 13-Jan-14 16:41:49

Sorry mrsmorgan... Thats so crappy.

I decided to do the second pregnancy test and there was the faintest of faint lines there.... I could hardly see it. This happened the first time i tested last year with my lost LO. Wondering if its a evaporation line... Any ideas?

Maybe i should wait a few day instead of driving myself nuts. hmm

cheshirem2b Mon 13-Jan-14 16:48:04

Can I join in ladies? I'm new TTC #1 and first real month trying and tracking etc.
using the ov test I ov on Sat/Sun - we DTD (of course) so now we wait... I'm not very good at waiting! :-)

Oklahoma Mon 13-Jan-14 17:02:56

Hi Chesh, I'm in exactly the same boat as you. TTC 1 and first month and also crap at waiting. I'm 9dpo and have already poas twice (both bfn unsurprisingly!). Nice to have other newbies on board.

Lottystar Mon 13-Jan-14 18:06:30

Sorry to hear that Smorgen, it's amazing after the 'what ifs' and expectations that we manage to pick ourselves up month after month. Hoping Feb will be your month too!

Welcome Oklahoma and Cheshire smile

Viktoriana, that's fab - what brand was it? Your first morning wee should hopefully give you a clearer indication. First response are the best as far as I'm concerned.

Glitter, with your heavy books and multiple posts I think you have pregnobrain already wink The pain has subsided thankfully. I just feel like I'm carrying a very precious cargo the size of a poppy seed at the mo, overly aware due to mc.

GlitterLily11 Mon 13-Jan-14 18:23:37

Bless ya lotty. I can understand why you might be a little bit nervous xx It's funny, my DH says that I have baby brain already as well hehe.

Just praying the next 8 weeks go fast and smoothly. Same as you I will relax a lot more after the first scan xx

MissMagpie Mon 13-Jan-14 19:43:35

Hi everyone. This is my first post though I do come on here to read what people are saying fairly often!

Reading this thread is very comforting for me. I have been ttc #1 for 12 months now. My cycle is irregular and I have not done any of the tests to track ovulation...yet. I was just going with the 'dtd two or three times a week' method until I realised it wasn't going to work. I read a Zita West book and have found out loads more about my fertility and I have gone to my GP and got the blood testing underway to see if anything bad shows up.

Though ovulation may be an issue for me, since I found out more about cervical secretions, I do think that I ovulated earlier this month - and now am waiting to see if I did and if it worked.

I have had many of the common symptoms of early pregnancy in past months and every time it has just been AF on the way. This month I am approx 10dpo and don't have any of the symptoms yet so don't know what's going on! I am very bloated but not had this before so no idea if it is related or something else.

I am not doing a test until at least Friday but it is driving me crazy!

GlitterLily11 Mon 13-Jan-14 20:37:54

Welcome Missmagpie fingers crossed for you hun xxx

Squeakybeaky Mon 13-Jan-14 20:52:41

Welcome to all you newbies and very exciting vickitoriana! I'm not 100% how many dpo I am but couldn't resist testing this morning. Ridiculous really as still WAY too early. I couldn't see anything initially but when I returned some time later there was the faintest of faint lines there. I mean crazily, stupidly faint.

Prob an Evan line but it still gave me that pang of excitement! I should really wait a few days before testing now but so know I will do it in the morning - who am I kidding!

Squeakybeaky Mon 13-Jan-14 20:52:58

Evap!

Oklahoma Mon 13-Jan-14 21:22:46

I was wondering what an Evan line was but assumed it was just my new-to-mumsnet-ness!

Lottystar Mon 13-Jan-14 21:35:50

Ooohh, fingers crossed Squeaky, let us know how you get along smile

Vickitoriana Mon 13-Jan-14 21:58:48

I'm not gonna test now until sat... That'll make me late. I think it was evaporation earlier. :0)

GlitterLily11 Mon 13-Jan-14 21:59:33

Squeaky, if the line is grey or colourless it is an evaporation line. If it is pink or blue (depending on which test you're using) then that isn't an evaporation line, that's a faint bfp. Only the detection of HCG in your pee can react with the dye in the test to create colour xxx

sebsmummy1 Mon 13-Jan-14 22:15:40

Except for the test i used and then any faint positive is a blimming evap line unfortunately!! Its all over the internet as the worst test you can buy for false positives sad

Always best to use a pink dye test and to keep testing to ensure your line gets darker Then confirm with a digi before you start announcing it to family .....ehem blush

Vickitoriana Mon 13-Jan-14 23:02:20

The one i used was called 'answer'... A Cheapo one from my local chemist.

I'm spotting a little now... That never happens to me, nor does AF ever come early. This is a bit frustrating.

sebsmummy1 Tue 14-Jan-14 07:29:14

Ok so faint positive on a pink dye test this morn. No more blood at all whereas normally I'd be spotting. I think I might have done it! Only thing I'm concerned about now is whether the line will get progressively darker or it could be a chemical. I'll add the photo here;

mrsb87 Tue 14-Jan-14 07:52:37

I can definitely see a line!! Try testing again tomorrow morning and it will hopefully get darker
How exciting!

Lottystar Tue 14-Jan-14 07:56:29

I can see a line too Sebsmummy! Congratulations! My period was due Weds roughly too but pregnancy symptoms seem quite strong at the moment so I'm feeling things are okay at the moment.

sebsmummy1 Tue 14-Jan-14 08:04:16

Thanks girls. Fingers crossed for all of us grin

sebsmummy1 Tue 14-Jan-14 08:06:55

Make sure you're taking your folic acid girls x

GlitterLily11 Tue 14-Jan-14 08:40:25

Sebsmummy I too see a line! Congratulations! Xxxx

Vickitoriana Tue 14-Jan-14 08:52:10

Oh blimey, this thread is super exciting... Well done sebsmommy there is deffo a line there... :0)

I am definitely spotting... Light pink on the tissue no cm. very unlike my period which is usually darker with CM. Sorry If TMi but there is something going on. I have to teenage DC and don't remember having an implantation bleed with them so have no idea what they are like.

sebsmummy1 Tue 14-Jan-14 08:53:34

I've just gone back and looked at the other pink dye test that I did last night with dilute urine and it too has a line, it obviously developed outside the time window overnight.

Wish i believed them.

CagedMango Tue 14-Jan-14 10:03:28

Hi everyone,

Congratulations to those with a bpf this month!

I'm new to mumsnet but have been ttc for 6 months. I'm currently about 5 dpo but don't feel too hopeful this month as DH was poorly during my most fertile time. I'll still have my fingers crossed though and will try not to test until the 24th Jan.

Squeakybeaky Tue 14-Jan-14 10:06:26

Yahooooooo for sebsmummy very very exciting. That test is def a positive so start believing :0)

I did another test this morn and again the most microscopic faint line ever but still exciting! Wish I could whizz on a few days so can get a proper reading.

Any others testing this morn?

Squeakybeaky Tue 14-Jan-14 10:07:19

Hi cagedmango! Be hopeful, you never know :0)

Squeakybeaky Tue 14-Jan-14 10:08:56

http://www.canyouseealine.com/view_home_pregnancy_test.php?testID=43538

Here is my ridiculously faint line, can anyone see it or is it really just me??

sebsmummy1 Tue 14-Jan-14 10:24:21

Squeaky I thought I couldn't see yours then I thought I could see something so I've voted 'unsure'. How many dpo are you?

Squeakybeaky Tue 14-Jan-14 10:28:15

I'm not exactly sure when I Ovd as sometimes my cycle is 24 days sometimes 28. Anyway I'm only 8dpo at best or 4dpo at worst so hardly anything but im a blimen impatient nightmare. I can def see a little something round the edges but not as exciting as yours that's for sure!

You believing it yet?

sebsmummy1 Tue 14-Jan-14 10:38:16

I would just exercise a degree of caution with those internet strip tests as I used to get very excited about possible positives that went nowhere in the end.

Best tests seem to be superdrug, I found a test called Suresign from my small local chemist that was pretty sensitive and £4.99 for two, and importantly pink dye.

Wishing you loads of luck. Hope it darkens as the days go on xxx

jennifer86 Tue 14-Jan-14 11:26:57

Congrats sebsmummy, there's definitely something there!
Squeaky, had a look at your test - Couldn't see anything but you're testing ridiculously early - somewhere between 4 and 8 dpo? Even the most sensitive kits say they can be used from 11 dpo, so step away from the toilet!! smile You just need to give it a few more days at least!

I'm getting so impatient today - CD27, AF due Thurs/Fri. I usually (probably 10 months out of the last 12) have spotting for a few days before AF and no sign of that yet, but have been disappointed so many times I'm doing my best not to get my hopes up.

Testing day will be Sunday and not before as so fed up of wasting my money on negative tests - Will be CD32 and AF at least 48hrs late by then.

Fx for everyone

Squeakybeaky Tue 14-Jan-14 12:01:35

Thanks guys, I know I'm testing early just couldn't help myself. The tests aren't actually Internet cheapies they are tests from the hospital - have no idea if that actually means anything. Had them knocking around so couldn't resist.

I have no tests left now so won't be testing for a few days at least!

Vickitoriana Tue 14-Jan-14 13:06:45

Nature is having a laugh at me this month... The spotting is becoming heavier so looks like I have got AF 4 days early... This never happens!

Ah well, at least it looks to the ends of the torture of the TWW.

Got my first ever bfn this morning at 11dpo. Feeling pretty low and questioning my sanity now as I've had so many symptoms. Not testing again till Friday when AF is due.

sebsmummy1 Tue 14-Jan-14 14:16:06

Argh sorry for those who are having bfns. I had 7 months of them and have cried buckets.

The only symptoms i had this month was some odd tummy gripes, some lotion discharge on 9dpo and pink when i wiped on 10dpo (i would never have noticed this as it was at about 4am but for some reason i turned the bathroom light on).

Some months i had all sorts of symptoms and nothing!

My boobs look and feel normal, i do feel very hormonal and snippy and really nothing else at all.

Vickitoriana Tue 14-Jan-14 14:17:29

Omfg... I am doing my own head in now. The test i thought had a line on it yesterday deffo does now... I just picked it up to throw it away and it was much more obvious... So much so DD confirmed she could see it too. No daylight needed or tilting it to see... Its not a bold line but its there.

Lottystar Tue 14-Jan-14 15:17:11

Viktoriana, lines darken after a few hours but that's when you can get evap lines too - what colour is it? The only way to know is wait and retest with your first morning wee tomorrow, I hope it is a line for you!

Sorry Poly, 11 dpo is still early tho. You're not out of the picture yet.

Sebsmummy, I'm snippy as just feeling ultra tired at the moment. Wishing time away to early March so I'm 12 weeks, I'm a stay at home Mum so whilst the boys keep me busy I have more time to think than I did when I was at work.

sebsmummy1 Tue 14-Jan-14 15:24:17

im a stay at home Mum too grin

I'm a stay at home mum too! Also I'm looking after my best friends baby because she's just gone back to work. It's got me ultra broody!!

Vickitoriana Tue 14-Jan-14 15:43:06

I think it was an evaporation line... Literally just did a CB digi because i was getting bit stressed and it was BFN. Those fake positives are a real head fuck!

Still spotting though... Thought it was developing into AF but that's fizzeling out. I'll give it a day or two and see if it develops. If not i'll do the other test with first morning wee on thursday.

sebsmummy1 Tue 14-Jan-14 16:50:09

Vicki, the clearblue digis are not sensitive at all. I think they are 50 miu, so I don't think I would register on one at the moment. I have ordered two to arrive in the post but wouldn't expect to see a positive until maybe the weekend when I was well past my missed period.

Is your evap line coloured? If it is I think you are still in.

GlitterLily11 Tue 14-Jan-14 17:52:09

Keeping fingers and toes and eyes crossed for all you ladies waiting for your bfp!

I've been getting an irritating cramp type pain on the right side of my uterus area. Going to GO tomorrow to get the pregnancy booked in so may mention it xx

Anyone got any advice on which test is the best? I'm not planning on testing now until I'm officially late.

GlitterLily11 Tue 14-Jan-14 17:56:18

Squeaky if I tilt my phone to the right I can see a very faint line. Fingers crossed they keep getting darker x xx

sebsmummy1 Tue 14-Jan-14 17:57:27

P

GlitterLily11 Tue 14-Jan-14 17:58:13

Hi Polythene. My favourite were the store brand ones, like asda, tesco or super drug. The it's I got were crap xx

sebsmummy1 Tue 14-Jan-14 17:58:39

Polythene just pick a pink dye test like First Response, Superdrug own brand, SureSign or similar. To be honest if you plan on testing after you have missed a period most pregnancy tests should register a line with FMU.

Thanks ladies. Looks like I'll be spending Friday afternoon stood staring at the shelf in Asda. That is if AF doesn't get me before then!

If it's bad news I'm planning on red wine and blue cheese all weekend!

GlitterLily11 Tue 14-Jan-14 18:27:20

Fingers x. Do you have any symptoms that you have noticed? X

Vickitoriana Tue 14-Jan-14 18:38:15

@sebsmummy... The line was faintly pink but if you hold it up at the window it's clear. It's funny you mention clear blue being insensitive, I was thinking that was the case because last year i got a BFN but was actually pregnant... It showed up on a digi when I was 4 days late. I am hoping the spotting will stop, will feel more positive if it does. X

sebsmummy1 Tue 14-Jan-14 19:33:38

Vicki I've got everything crossed for you. I think it sounds quite positive.

Hi glitter. I've had loads of symptoms since about 6dpo I started getting stomach cramps and a real pulling sensation, plus nausea and headaches. I'm also really bloated and I mean really bloated. I'm only small and I look about 6mnth pg. If it's not a pg symptom I'm going on a diet!! I've not had any bleeding or tender breasts though but I don't think I did with my DS either but I didn't ttc with him (happy days!!)

Charlie343 Tue 14-Jan-14 20:27:19

Hello ladies, thought I'd come and join! Also on the dreaded wait for AF or BFP! Currently 2 dpo on cycle #3. Last couple of months felt like I have had all kinds of symptoms - probably the same tweaks and cramps I've had for the past 10 years only now I'm super sensitive to them!! Trying to switch off from symptom spotting but of coarse that clearly isn't happening!

Mrsmorrison13 Tue 14-Jan-14 20:31:22

Hi girls hope your all doing well and for those waiting on BFPs that they come soon grin

Just want to say how much it rips ma knitting that right at our most emotional and vulnerable time when your stood In asda praying your pregnant trying to decide which overpriced pee device to pick up hoping no one sees you lol that brands like clearblue etc trick us into paying 15 pound for 1 bloody test only for us to find out later that the ones out the pound shop are more sensitive lol .

Crazy !

In my next life I want to create a pregnancy test that's cheap and accurate that will hand you a tissue if you are and hand you one if you are not lol that you can take back and exchange for chocolate ( like the old glass juice bottles ) lol if it's a bfn

Lol x

Good luck Charlie, it's such a hard slog getting through these dreaded 2w. My advice would be as hard as it is, focus on something else and come on here to vent and for support when needed. It does seem to be happening for plenty of MNers this month, so stay positive! Other than that, welcome to camp crazy symptom spotters!

Well said mrsmorrison! Can we also have a test that works 1dpo please!?

Mrsmorrison13 Tue 14-Jan-14 20:40:58

Haha how good would that be grin

I got a brilliant parcel today smilesmiledo you want to know what it was ? I actually eekked when I opened lol .....

Go on..... Cheer me up!

newforest Tue 14-Jan-14 21:28:36

Hi, can I join? Currently 2 dpo. Third cycle trying trying, but first cycle of actually trying on the best days! I ovulate on day 12 of a 28 day cycle and have been DTD on day 12 and once about a week before! This month I used Clearblue digital OPK and got a smiley on day 10. So we DTD that night and on day 12 when I had EWCM and ovulation pain.

I hate the waiting!

Mrsmorrison13 Tue 14-Jan-14 21:44:49

Only a flipping 100 ovulation sticks and 100 pregnancy tests ! Poas heaven !! Lol x

maeanne Tue 14-Jan-14 21:49:24

Fingers crossed for you Vickitoriana and everyone waiting and symptom spotting!

What was the package, MrsMorrison?!

I'm now (I think) 8dpo and still have very sore boobs and nipples. I can't even walk down stairs without them hurting and this has gone on for a week now. I do get achy boobs pre af but this feels like more than that. They feel full and heavy and I get the odd stabby pain and tingling. Been crampy for a week too.

Really hope I am not setting myself up for disappointment again!

maeanne Tue 14-Jan-14 21:51:13

Crossed posts MrsM. Good work!

I had a nice big stash too but they are dwindling fast!

newforest Tue 14-Jan-14 21:54:51

WOW mrsmorrison, I decided that if it hasn't worked this month I'd order a load too, but I really loved getting that smiley face from the Clearblue!

Lol mrs Morrison. I'd never get anything done if I had a stash like that!

Newforest I looked into getting the clearblue today. I could not believe how expensive it was. DH would kill me if I splashed out on that. He already thinks I've gone crazy for suggesting using opk next month.

sebsmummy1 Tue 14-Jan-14 22:07:22

Not sure if I said but this month is the first time i used the clearblue monitor. Can't help but suggest it could be a useful aid even though it gave me no peak!!!

MooMa1d Tue 14-Jan-14 22:20:12

11dpo, due AF Friday

I don't feel pregnant, I don't feel pregnant angry and yet I wouldn't know if I was anyway..... some strange symptoms but who knows if really they're strange. This waiting malarky is CRAP.

ps I'm tired and moody - apologies

newforest Tue 14-Jan-14 22:27:15

LOL Poly. I didn't tell mine! ;)

They just don't get it do they!

MooMa stay positive. I'm exactly the same as you. Have had my negative head on all day. Got my first bfn this morning (11dpo). But it ain't over till it's over! Don't know how I'm going to get through the next few days but we all will x

MooMa1d Tue 14-Jan-14 22:42:14

I know just wish there was a way of knowing!! Thought about it all the way home today lol I almost wish you still JS'ed and didn't have the internet to refer too!!

I had excessing cm over the last week which only just started drying up - and wasn't normal for me, I had back pains and tummy pains - tummy pains intermittent now but to be honest it could've been anything.

I wish there was a symptom that was a defo like.... I don't know..... you got a purple dot below your belly button as soon as you got pregnant. This dot would go away after a couple of weeks but if you got the dot, you was pregnant, end of. No guessing.... Now I'll go off to la-la land

Yup. This 2ww takes the P. I had to take a couple of days off from MN this week because I felt like my crazy was feeding off everyone else's (no offence ladies!) felt like it was all getting a bit much and it's only my first cycle. If things don't go well this month I'm planning on focusing on healthy living next month with healthy eating and trying new recipes, a little exercise and a bit of pampering too. I'm hoping a happy healthy me is going to = a pregnant me!

Lottystar Tue 14-Jan-14 23:18:14

Hi ladies, sending good vibes out to all of you on the 2ww, it's the most crappy time of wishing days away to poas! thanks

Poly, no offence taken, as happy as we are for others it's hard seeing BFPs popping up when you are too early to test or get a bfn. I also think we have a tendency to all get excited together and then go dwindle our pregnancy test horde. I have about 50 of the cheapies still sitting in my cupboard but that is probably a fraction of the number I had last week. It's just all too emotional at the time our hormones are nuts anyway albeit one way or another.

Glitter, try not to worry, I had twinges on the left side yesterday, I think it was wind or uterine stretching. Lasted around an hour or so and then went. Worth mentioning to your GP to ease your mind. I figured that if it was ectopic surely we wouldn't feel it when they are the size of a poppy seed?

Vickitoriana Wed 15-Jan-14 06:53:28

Morning!

The saga continues... Tested first thing this am and still BFN! The spotting stopped last night but there was a bit more this morning which isn't getting any heavier (at the moment anyway).

I was like an internet obsessive last night, furiously googling implantation bleeds and how long to leave it before testing... The consensus seems to be about 3 days before BFPs. Maybe i should never have sex bare back again to avoid this shit. ;0)

sebsmummy1 Wed 15-Jan-14 07:05:41

Hey girls, threw myself out of bed this morn to see if the line has got darker and I think it has a tiny bit. OH and I aren't talking as he refuses to accept I am pregnant until the line is as dark as the control line!!

Roll on getting my digis through the post.

Here is the latest pic;

http://www.canyouseealine.com/view_home_pregnancy_test.php?testID=43586

sebsmummy1 Wed 15-Jan-14 07:05:58
sebsmummy1 Wed 15-Jan-14 07:07:39

Now Vicki I have always (well twice!!) got a fishnet BFP on the day I see implantation blood. I would agree though that you don't get a decent line until maybe three days after.

How bloody annoying !!! Really hope that was implsntation and you get your BFP xxx

sebsmummy1 Wed 15-Jan-14 07:07:56

Fishnet - faint

Vickitoriana Wed 15-Jan-14 07:13:32

Pmsl fishnet!

It was a clear blue so who knows. How many DCs have you got?

I spoke to Tommy's pregnancy line yesterday and they thought it was likely the be implatation... She said the timing was about right. I guess it's no over til AF makes an appearance, huh!

sebsmummy1 Wed 15-Jan-14 07:18:38

I didn't know there was a pregnancy line you could ring!!

Just one other child, a little boy.

Vickitoriana Wed 15-Jan-14 07:19:45

By the way sebmummy... That line is looking good! :0)

Vickitoriana Wed 15-Jan-14 07:21:15

Awww... My cousin has a little boy called sebastian... You must be super excited right now?

mrsb87 Wed 15-Jan-14 07:45:27

Sebs mummy thats deffo a line!!

sebsmummy1 Wed 15-Jan-14 07:46:57

Ha ha you would think so wouldn't you!! We are not talking, he has left the house this morning with no word of whether I have done a further test and what the result was. He knew my period was due today, didn't bother to ask if it had stayed away. So pissed off with him right now, I've not told anyone in real life yet bar him and he has totally ruined the whole thing for me, AGAIN!!!

Vickitoriana Wed 15-Jan-14 07:54:59

Oh no, thats so shit. If it helps, my exH was like that with both of ours... He really shouted at me when i got pg with DS. It made it so hard. Is he happy about the possibility at least?

sebsmummy1 Wed 15-Jan-14 08:08:51

We have been trying for 7 months, he desperately wanted this child. It's just he won't accept it at this stage and do ruins it for both of us.

In his defence we have had a couple of false starts where I thought it was a line and convinced him and then got my period. But this time I know it's a LINE line Bd he is still acting like I'm living on cloud cuckoo and so we've fallen out as I've started trying to organise some practical things and he thinks I'm mad. There is no baby!! etc.

Totally infuriating.

Vickitoriana Wed 15-Jan-14 08:46:50

Men!!! They are simplistic creatures. Last year, when i was pregnant, mine didn't believe i was pregnant at all... Even when i lost it he was very unsupportive. It's like because they can't see something it's not happening. I'm still not sure he totally believed it because he doesn't live with me and didn't see anything other than the CB digi... I haven't even bothered talking to him About the scare... There doesn't seem much point. If i am pregnant i intend to do it alone... I have a nice home, a reasonable job and have done it all before. Scary stuff though!

GlitterLily11 Wed 15-Jan-14 09:08:33

Morning girls. sebsmummy sorry to hear you don't feel you're getting support from your DH. Maybe he is just a bit like mine. He didn't want to get excited about a possibility, just to be let down, and also didn't want me to get hurt by getting my hopes up before we knew for certain. If he doesn't want to hear of the faint lines, do what I did and just leave it out for him to see by himself xx

Loving all these symptoms for girls in the 2ww. Sounding very promising. I had cramps and back ache before my bfp :-) no ibleed for me though, just noticeably different cm (tmi)

Xx

sebsmummy1 Wed 15-Jan-14 09:10:30

Oh bless you Vicki, that sounds bloody hard to go through a loss and still have him refusing to believe it!!

I don't think it helps that my partner works in the field of pharmaceuticals and so says they would never build the tests with a control line that dark if the test line also wasn't meant to be that dark too. He said if a faint line was positive the control line would also be faint.

I just can't be arsed to argue about, particularly as I'm scared he is right. He did text me half an hour ago to ask if if done a further test with a line that he could actually see. I said no.

GlitterLily11 Wed 15-Jan-14 09:43:54

After doing much research, online and with my fellow chemists I work with, I can say he is talking nonsense. The test line has a separate chemical in it to detect HCG only. This therefore makes it harder to get a stronger colour because it is collecting a very tiny amount of what it wants out of the sample, where as the control line collects much more of the sample (your pee) meaning it has a more prominent colour.

Chin up love, you can have your moment when you slam down a positive test in front of him :-)

Xx

sebsmummy1 Wed 15-Jan-14 09:47:06

Thanks Glitter that makes sense xxx

I asked him to explain why my period seems to be missing. He said, aaaaaah, that's just one part of the puzzle!! What a knob jockey lol

GlitterLily11 Wed 15-Jan-14 09:59:20

Hahaha! Part of the puzzle! Lmao. Bless him! He is maybe just being far too cautious. Have you taken a test this morning? Xx

jennifer86 Wed 15-Jan-14 10:02:42

Oh dear sebs he does sound a bit infuriating! The line should continue to get darker over the next few days to prove it to him hmm but I'd say you're definitely PG as that's now 2 tests (that I've seen, anyway) which have been positive.
I'm afraid I may be heading for AF, though. Now on CD 28 and the spotting started yesterday evening. I know some people get spotting which doesn't turn into AF but it is following the same pattern as the last few months so I'm pretty sure AF will be here in a few days. First fertility clinic appt in about 3 weeks, though, so we have something to aim for at least.

sebsmummy1 Wed 15-Jan-14 10:08:43

Oh no Jennifer. Hmmm, you're not out until you get full flow AF, I really hope she stays away, but agree that if she doesn't you at least have the appointment to focus on and see what the options are. I hear of natural conceptions taking place regularly on the run up to IVF starting. I wonder if we just totally calm down and almost relinquish all control and angst over the situation.

Glitter I did do a test and it seems very very slightly darker to me. Really marginal though.

Lottystar Wed 15-Jan-14 10:12:49

Morning all,

I hope that af stays away Jennifer!

Men are all the same (huge generalisation but heyho) my husband only thought it positive when there was a dark line or I got a positive on the CB digital. I think they're frightened of entering our world of hormonal turmoil - as clearly they don't live it all month and go through the ovulation testing, symptom spotting etc.

Anyway, it's definitely positive so congrats SebsMummy! I have a little boy called Sebastian too! Fab name. He is 1 and a half and currently trying to pull my phone away, little munchkin smile

sebsmummy1 Wed 15-Jan-14 10:15:46

Aww it was the only name that we both really liked. I had an Irish colleague (very handsome) with the name and i thought it was so lovely and liked how it could be abbreviated to be cool during school and Uni but kept long to sound all sophisticated if he goes on to become a barrister unlikely grin

JenferB Wed 15-Jan-14 10:24:36

Hi ladies, can I join in on your tww club! smile I'm a newbie on here. This is my second post & I'm feeling a bit stressed today! I was due on the 13th and still no sign. Tested last night BFN. This morning first thing BFN! Ahhhhhhhh! I need kalms lol. Good luck to you all. Something must be up, because I am never late. Only ever early by one day max. I've been hungry, tired, palpitations, jelly legs, but still so scared I'll be disappointed hmm Good luck to you all waiting xx

JenferB Wed 15-Jan-14 10:32:17

Btw, I've seen a few posts about periods red lurking in not being pregnant. If you truly believe you're pregnant, don't get your hopes up, but don't rule out being pregnant either. My friend had a full period while ttc. She missed her next period, when to the Docs and discovered she was 2 months gone! smile I didn't go into detail about clots though. Some say that if there are clots in it it's unlikely your pregnant. I've heard so many stories about bleeding through pregnancy, late implantation being a cause etc. Something to bear in mind wink xx

JenferB Wed 15-Jan-14 11:22:29

That meant to say...
I've seen a few posts about people getting their AF's and assuming they're not pregnant. Usually it's a good sign of not being pregnant, but not always...x

Hi everyone,

I'm unable to state how many DPO I am as my symptoms never seem to match up (slight EWCM on CD10, +OPK on day 13). Plus i'm quite irregular cycle-wise (last few have been 26-27 days).

So i'm guessing i'm around 3-4 DPO.

Zero symptoms, nothing, zilch. But I hope that's normal at this stagegrin

Best of luck to everyone else still waiting.

jennifer86 Wed 15-Jan-14 14:35:35

Yes, I find it really difficult to draw the line between what is "spotting" and what is plain old AF. It always starts with just a tiny bit and increases gradually so it's really hard to say for definite when AF starts. So currently I'm still holding on to a little bit of hope but really think it's unlikely. Also, a couple of days ago I felt pregnant (nausea, really super sensitive nipples and boobs) but that's all sort of faded.

I've heard that before, that lots of people conceive whilst being investigated or waiting for IVF. Unfortunately I think that has been falsely raising my hopes over the last few months.

Welcome to all the newbies.

JenferB Wed 15-Jan-14 16:19:20

Hi from one Jennifer to another smile

I know what you mean. My hopes were raised last month when j got a very slow AF. Because my friend had a full period whilst pregnant, it raised my hopes. I've also been putting off having an X-ray of my tubes at the women's hospital. For the last couple of months I've OVU'd around the time of X-ray, and also just in case I am pregnant, but still have a period, as it can damage the embryo.
I hadn't realised how tough this TTC business would be.
Still no AF for me. My cycle is 25 days. I'm on 27. Today has been the worst waiting game. I hope that some of you have received great news today! For those if you that haven't, back on it! wink Xx

GlitterLily11 Wed 15-Jan-14 16:25:56

Welcome to all the newbies xx fingers crossed we see some more bfp's in this thread xx

MissMagpie Wed 15-Jan-14 17:16:14

Has anyone else experienced weird pains in the general ovary area after ovulating? My AF is due after Friday (as I mentioned before - v irregular cycles) but I have had a few painful twinges all week and today have had a particularly 'sore' feeling in the area I guess is around my left ovary/fallopian tube. Any ideas?

I have other symptoms that could be either because AF is on her way or pregnancy (such is life!) but this is something I have not had before.

Vickitoriana Wed 15-Jan-14 21:36:06

@sebsmummy sorry, went to work and just got home. Yeah, it was very very hard going through that alone... Especially the day it happened. DD was with me though, although she was pretty shell shocked and didn't really know what the say and do. She's 18 btw.

On a lighter note... The spotting as stopped now so deffo not AF.

Has your DH come round yet?

sebsmummy1 Wed 15-Jan-14 21:39:59

Well I peed on a digi and it confirmed I am 1-2 weeks pregnant .... In WORDS!!! So he accepted it lol and apologised. He is out tonight at a work thing so I don't really feel we've had a chance to celebrate, which is a bit disappointing.

babytinks89 Wed 15-Jan-14 21:41:17

I'm 3 and a half weeks after my first af.. of trying ttc after first miscarriage in nov..
2nd cycle due yesterday... no sign yet, but no symptoms of pregnancy yet either.. no sore boobs or anything sad taken first test on friday if no sign of 2nd cycle... the wait is killing me too!!
I just hope this time it hapoens for us! why does it have to take soooooo long!

Vickitoriana Wed 15-Jan-14 21:59:18

Awwwww, Congratulations. Although you knew it anyway noone can argue with a digi. Shame he's not home tonight.

newforest Wed 15-Jan-14 22:03:21

Congrats sebsmummy!! Brilliant news! Hope your DH feels very guilty now! You must be so pleased!

How long do the rest of us have? I'm due on 30th Jan so feels like a lifetime. Though as I have a long luteal phase I could test a few days before. :D

newforest Wed 15-Jan-14 22:08:01

Make that 29th Jan.

maeanne Wed 15-Jan-14 22:16:36

Congrats sebsmummy!

Af due in 6 days for me. I feel less hopeful today though.shock Boobs have settled down a bit and having looked at my dates again I think the chances are pretty slim.

cheshirem2b Wed 15-Jan-14 22:23:45

Awwww! So happy for you sebsmummy! Brilliant news! grin

sebsmummy1 Thu 16-Jan-14 07:27:03

Thank you so much guys xxxx

Decided to tell Mum last night via whatsapp. Oh it was so funny, you could hear the penny slowly dropping as I starting giving her information. I

Istarted by saying are you near the calendar as I want you to clear a day in September. She was all 'but that's ages away!!' And I said, yep, about 9 months. So she writes 'And!?????? What now?' And I said, I'll be giving birth hopefully, and she wrote, 'how do you know that??!!!' Errrm because I'm pregnant lol. Was so funny!!!

JenferB Thu 16-Jan-14 10:24:39

Congratulations to those with great news!
How very exciting! grin
Today I'm 3 days late. I've not been late in 15+ months of TTC. I feel strange today. Tired, nauseous, off my food & cups of tea. No sign of AF. I took a test yesterday morning (day 2) and the night of day 1. No BFP yet. I'm hoping tomorrow morning will have one for us! It's sending me crazy. Wish me luck ladies, & good luck to all of you waiting xx

Vickitoriana Thu 16-Jan-14 11:43:57

I am due on tomorrow or Saturday... The spotting has stopped now... Boobs are still tender... I felt horrid this morning before I left the house for work... Stil getting nausea. What annoying is that you can look for. Symptoms and convince yourself you are... I am not testing until after AF is due now...

starchildmum Thu 16-Jan-14 13:25:41

sebsmum

Don`t be so harsh with your husband... man are just dealing with things differently. He is probably just to scared to accept it as he does not want to get disappointed. He seems to shut off because that his way of dealing with it on his own and it seems as if he is just about to cope with it somehow let alone having extra comfort for you...

Seems as if he wants a baby a lot...

I would make a doctors appointment at around 6/7 weeks for a dating scan ( I have just booked me in) and then he can SEE the little one jumping around in your belly and hear the heartbeat.

This is a magic moment ( had it with my first one as well) and such a wonderful wonderful experience for you and your husband and I am sure he will sit next to you crying and holding your hand....

Maybe if you had a few miscarriages push the scan to toward the end...
9/10 weeks as the chances of miscarrying drop considerably after this time.

A LINE is soooo far from the real thing that it can be sometimes very abstract to realise the whole thing and it takes often for a lot of people some time to sink in.

Ans the best way is as mentioned the scan where you can see in full reality the baby on a big screen and leave the hospital string at the picture they give you so that you can say over and over again . WOW I can`t believe it! :-)

Squeakybeaky Thu 16-Jan-14 15:46:43

Ooh good luck vicki and jenfer. Can't believe how well you are holding off testing jenfer!

I caved again today and did another cheapie test! Think I can still see a little something - can you tell me what you think?

http://www.canyouseealine.com/view_home_pregnancy_test.php?testID=43650

I made my friend do one too at the same time to rule out evaporation. Hers is totally clear!

Gonna do a first response in the morning smile

sebsmummy1 Thu 16-Jan-14 15:59:33

I'm losing the pregnancy girls sad. I've started bleeding and it's red. Bloody devastating but at least it's very early I suppose. I don't rely understand chemical pregnancies but I assume this is what this is.

woolywhite Thu 16-Jan-14 16:20:05

Hey folks.

Im a newbie at all this TTC stuff. I'm in my first cycle 2 week wait! Had sex Monday and Tuesday and ovulation guesstimated at yesterday or today. I understand the swimmers are good for around 5 days.

I'm the worlds most impatient person, and im guessing it's highly unlikely we'll hit the target first go - so im guessing im in for a looooong wait and test of patience.

I've never before counted down the days to a period date with such eagerness (for it not to come!) before. Good luck to everyone else smile xxx

Penguinttc Thu 16-Jan-14 16:29:53

So sorry sebsmummy. Sending you big hugs xx I hope your resting up, having mc myself late and early, early is always better... But still very heartbreaking. Keep an eye on the loss, if it gets very heavy get yourself checked out. Xx

Af due 24th.... Feels like forever away. Wondering about testing early, but I don't want to be heartbroken when it's not a BFP.

Squeakybeaky Thu 16-Jan-14 17:24:29

Awwwww so sorry sebsmummy. Xx

Mrsmorrison13 Thu 16-Jan-14 18:35:08

Sebsmum I'm so so sorry , hope you are ok x

GlitterLily11 Thu 16-Jan-14 18:52:41

Sending you love and hugs sebsmummy I can't imagine how terrible that must be. Heartbroken for you sweetheart xxxxx

Lottystar Thu 16-Jan-14 19:52:08

I'm so so sorry Sebsmummy. Sending you all of my love. Even early it's heartbreaking due to the excitement, hopes and expectations. Look after yourself and try and focus on your ds, I know mine were the only thing which made me smile when I had the mc x

newforest Thu 16-Jan-14 21:24:15

Sorry to hear that sebsmummy xxxx

sebsmummy1 Thu 16-Jan-14 21:28:50

Thank you.

I now have some brown discharge only, just enough to mark a panty liner, so I've no idea what's going to happen, I guess it's in the lap of the gods.

I only have one hpt test left that I plan on doing in the morning to see if the line has got any darker since Wednesday mornings test.

What I did have in the cupboard though was an opk and it is a stonking peak reading with both lines as dark as each other. So for the moment there is obviously still HCG in my system. I guess that's something to be hopeful about.

babytinks89 Thu 16-Jan-14 21:29:39

So sorry to hear that sebs!! heart breaking. I lost my baby 11 weeks in November it was 1week before my scan, was horrible, and 1 week before my 24th birthday as well!!
Was a horrible ending to my year..

Ttc again this month... 3 days late with my 2nd cycle and negative test tonight gutted! But will continue to try

Sending big hugs and kisses.. Try relax and take it easy! and keep trying wink

Vickitoriana Thu 16-Jan-14 21:55:26

Sebs :0( xxxxxxxx

maeanne Thu 16-Jan-14 22:49:58

Oh sebsmummy, keeping everything crossed for you. I know several ladies who have had early bleeding and gone on to have healthy pregnancies and babies, so don't lose all hope just yet.

cheshirem2b Thu 16-Jan-14 23:16:17

Sebsmummy I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! Hope you're ok!

My best friend gave me a book to read (she's 38 & had her first baby this year - I'm only 30 & on first cycle TTC...) and it's called The Fertility Plan by Blakeway & David. I've not been able to put it down! Explains so much and how to improve chances, lifestyle, body types, fertility types...! Really interesting but helpful. Would recommend it!

sebsmummy1 Fri 17-Jan-14 09:30:55

Hiya, god I put a terrible downer in this thread, I'm so sorry.

I have no idea what's going to happen but for the moment the bleeding has pretty much stopped and my hpt has got darker, so whilst not out of the woods there is still some hope.

So again girls, don't let the thread die as lots of people were getting BFPs xxxx grin

Vickitoriana Fri 17-Jan-14 10:14:12

It's great that the bleeding has stopped and if you are still getting BFPs its probs nothing pregnancy related. it's impossible not to worry though.

AF is due today and there's no sign yet. no spotting either. testing tomorrow on my day off. :0)

Lottystar Fri 17-Jan-14 12:11:27

That's positive news Sebsmummy, I hope everything works out okay, although I'm sure it's hard not to worry - maybe take yourself off to the Early Pregnancy Unit any they can check your HCG levels xx

Lottystar Fri 17-Jan-14 12:12:10

Oh and good luck tomorrow Vik smile

Vickitoriana Fri 17-Jan-14 12:19:57

Thanks lotty... There's not even a hint of AF except sore boobies. Hows things for you?

newforest Fri 17-Jan-14 13:38:57

Positive news sebsmummy. Let us know how you get on over the next few days!

maeanne Fri 17-Jan-14 16:07:53

Defi positive news, sebsmummy.

Good luck tomorrow Vickitoriana.

maeanne Fri 17-Jan-14 17:34:09

I caved and tested (11dpo, af due in 4 days). BFN. sad

If I only got a very faint positive at 8 weeks pg with dd (I had what I thought was af so it hadn't occured to me before then that I could be pg) should I expect that it's too early to test and I won't get a BFP until later on? Anyone else get late BFPs?

babytinks89 Fri 17-Jan-14 17:38:23

Any ideas any...

31 days past last af... No sign of second cycle since MC in november... BFN on test yesterday and this morning... Gonna test again Sunday if still no period!
Let the waiting game begin again hmm

Vickitoriana Fri 17-Jan-14 22:02:34

Still no AF!

Vickitoriana Sat 18-Jan-14 06:37:51

Morning... Just tested and got a BFN and as if to confirm it AF looks like is on it's way. Ah well! Pretty disappointed and heavy knows why i was spotting during the week... Very confusing. sad

sebsmummy1 Sat 18-Jan-14 06:50:51

Oh Vicki I'm so sorry sad

Vickitoriana Sat 18-Jan-14 10:33:09

Thanks sebs... Deffo no doubt about the BFNs now. How are you this am... Are those BFPs getting stronger?

babytinks89 Sat 18-Jan-14 11:08:15

so sorry girls, I think we are all in the same boat here...

I tested a BFN again this morning 3 weeks since ovulation and 33 days past last AF whats taken so longgggg....

MooMaid Sat 18-Jan-14 11:12:30

Didn't even test this time, AF arrived yesterday although had an inkling it was on its way on Thursday night.

Was pretty gutted tbh but never mind, next cycle begins. On another note I was at the hospital y'day for unrelated matters and during my appt my consultant said she was going to ask GP to take some bloods as a pre-conception type thing to check everything OK. No indications at all that it won't be but since we're trying and I need bloods taken for something else, she said she'd ask for it to be done at same time so I thought that was nice

sebsmummy1 Sat 18-Jan-14 11:27:04

MooMaid that sounds positive!! It's always good to get some tests even if it's just for peace of mind that everything is ok. Good luck for next cycle xxx

Hi Vicki. I'm ok thank you xxxx. Things have settled down, I did another ( different ) test this morning and the line is pretty strong. So I'm feeling a little more hopeful but probably won't really feel assured until I see the little one on a screen. Think we will have an early private scan if we get that far xxxx

babytinks89 Sat 18-Jan-14 11:57:57

Sending hugs sebsmummy hope all goes smoothly for you! The wait is a killer for us girls! But all the best, will keep you updated with my story. Had a BFN again this morning, this is toying with my emotions sad
I think february will be my month, if nothing from this month!! Got to look forward to it rather than thinking of a negative now. All our times will come ❤️

smorgasborgen Sat 18-Jan-14 14:53:23

yes, good luck sebsmummy!
I have a weird feeling about February as well. are u going t do the sperm meets egg plan?

Lottystar Sat 18-Jan-14 16:34:39

Hi ladies, sorry to hear about the witch arriving for a few of you, I did the sperm meets egg plan last month and it seemed to do the trick, worth a try smile

Currently getting lower tummy and slight back ache, feels like my period, very strong lines still though oh hpts but can't help being anxious after last time. No bleeding thankfully.

I'm pleased all has settled down Sebsmummy. I'm definitely having an early reassurance scan too, can't wait for 12 weeks x

Charlie343 Sat 18-Jan-14 16:56:12

Congrats to all the BFP's and sorry to hear all the BFN's and AF's.
Currently 6dpo and haven't gone insane.....yet! The past couple of days I've had AF style pains but no AF and increased cm?! Every month I wonder whether I normally have this at this point in my cycle or if it's real symptoms.... Hopefully not long until I find out either way!

babytinks89 Sat 18-Jan-14 17:00:03

Well since my period and bfn isnt coming yet... Going to focus on my cycle coming again and do this sperm meets egg thing, just read about it looks fab, ordered some ovulations tests and preg tests online hopefully this works for me throughout february!

I keep having this pain in my lower abdomen... Doesn't feel like period paids though its a strange feeling, anyone had this? It comes and goes.... Just wish my af will hurry up so i can start again hehe!

Halfbaked Sat 18-Jan-14 17:12:06

Hi
I slunk away from this thread as I though AF had come early, however turned out to be 2 days of light implantation bleeding ( so I'm assuming my previous nausea was a coincidence?!) and got a BFP on Friday!

Congrats to all those with BFP's, hold in there the rest of you, who knows what the future brings. thanks

I'm quietly happy, but also terrified - 2mc's last year. Only DH knows and now you lot. He hasn't said much as I feel we are both holding our breath for the next 8 weeks or so.

Lottystar Sat 18-Jan-14 17:25:24

Congrats half baked! Know how you are feeling, frightened to death myself after a mc in Oct. Here is you ever want to chat x

Lottystar Sat 18-Jan-14 17:29:17

Good luck too Charlie, increased cm post ovulation which was white / yellow and sticky is definitely a sign for me. Sorry if tmi.

I hope your af comes soon babytinks, I had irregular cycles and when you know your not pregnant you just want the cycle to get going again. Maybe af pain early or is there any hope you're preggers and not getting a bfp yet? Xx

babytinks89 Sat 18-Jan-14 18:01:55

I'm not sure lotty, my fingers and toes are still crossed!! Will take another test monday i think give it another couple days...

Charlie343 Sat 18-Jan-14 18:20:11

Thank you Lottystar keeping my fingers crossed (whilst trying not to get my hopes up!)

Hope things are going well with you!

sebsmummy1 Sun 19-Jan-14 20:27:52

Congrats guys, fabulous news xxx

Penguinttc Sun 19-Jan-14 21:24:04

11 dpo and a few signs here! Sharp cramps, waves of nausea and boobs are killing me. I think I had a tiny bit of brown pinky stuff in the week. Think I will retest tomorrow or Tuesday.. I did a test yesterday and got a bfn sad I'm growing ever so impatient now. Period due in 5/6 days - my cycles change from 26 to 28.
Sebsmummy I'm so glad the pos are getting darker and things have settled, good luck. I'd go and get checked out too, if possible. X

rockstars12 Sun 19-Jan-14 23:05:45

I just read through the whole thread to catch up, was nerve wracking and emotional, I wanted to read how the bfps turned out.
Sebs mum I really hope all goes well.
Huge congrats to all the bfps!!! I'm new to this thread, af due 27 will probably test early,4 days before and go from there. I'm 4dpo and got cramps which I've taken for my af beginning, I always get symptoms from the week before. But at least I know not to give up entirely yet!

Penguinttc Mon 20-Jan-14 08:23:05

Two poas later and I'm unsure... There seems to be the faintest and I mean ultra faint, like I think I've worn it away looking at it line on one, and and an even fainter one on the other, that faint I'm not 100% sure it was even there to start with. Both in the bin now... I feel like chucking in the towel and having a tantrum lol. I was so sure I was pregnant, it's not my first time... In total I have had 5 preganancys, although I have miscarried 2... Previously took me 1 month Ttc with them all, I know how lucky I was... Looks like it's going to take abit longer this time. Although the others were to my exh, I am Dtd with dp now... Perhaps it will take us longer. First dc i was late by two weeks before I got a pos though. I know I ovd around the 15th this month...
Sorry I am rambling, feeling rather defeated right now.

sebsmummy1 Mon 20-Jan-14 09:15:58

Penguin it is only the 20th!! I don't think you can get a BFP until at the very very least 8dpo, but more likely 10/11 dpo. So you're not out yet xx

Penguinttc Mon 20-Jan-14 09:36:19

Sorry, I looked at the calendar wrong lol, I ovd around the 8th sad just checked my fertility app lol, sorry dimbo moment earlier I think. Thanks, but I am guessing I'm out this month. How are u sebsmummy?

sebsmummy1 Mon 20-Jan-14 09:56:51

Ah ok. Are you using really sensitive hpts? I was getting a faint line with a sensitive at 12 dpo. Hope you line gets darker xx

I'm very good actually. My brown discharge is now very very light so if seems as though my body was just getting rid of some old blood and hopefully it will settle down now.

MissMagpie Mon 20-Jan-14 11:44:05

I'm having an awful time. Thought my AF should start some time over the weekend but nothing. Don't even feel like I am going to come on either. I have had a few crampy style pains and also some really sore pains, but now nothing. And as I have no symptoms of anything I daren't even do a test as can't face the disappointment for the 12 month in a row of getting a BFN.

Have had two blood tests in last week and a bit to measure progesterone levels. Now waiting for AF so I can do the day 2 blood test. This is day 38 of my cycle. I hate that I don't work to clockwork and don't know what's going on!!!!!

It doesn't help that I went to a friend's baby shower yesterday (who got pregnant after one day of trying!), at which one friend couldn't make it cos she's due to give birth any day and another friend bought her baby along. Feel like I'm the only one struggling!!!

Zermatt Mon 20-Jan-14 12:48:11

Hi, been lurking for a few weeks and wanted to join in, this is our first cycle of ttc, we've managed to dtd 3 times during what I think may be my fertile window (based purely on observe ring my usual cycles, no opk's or measuring bbt yet - ooh check me with all the acronyms). Am due to get my af on Monday 27th Jan and have this last week been getting all my usual pms symptoms, so keep flip flopping between thinking they aren't like my usual pms symptoms and I must be pregnant, to thinking it's just a sign af is almost here. Will be waiting until after the 27th to test, fingers crossed for all here x

Lottystar Mon 20-Jan-14 14:48:08

Sebsmummy so pleased your bleeding has stopped, have you had your HCG levels checked or booked for an early scan? I'm hoping to have one in a few weeks. What is your due date roughly?

MissMagpie, I think you need to bite the bullet and test! I know it's hard but do it and then you will know for sure. Are you taking folic acid just in case?

Welcome to other new comers too. Hope we see some more bfps xx

sebsmummy1 Mon 20-Jan-14 16:59:04

I have an appointment with the doctor Friday and will tell him about the bleed. I suspect he won't refer me as he was less than interested when I went to see him re suspected infertility, do I just cannot see him leaping into action now.

I will be 5 weeks on Thursday. I think I'll pay for a private scan around 9 weeks. Due date seems to be 26th September or thereabouts. How about you? Xx

Lottystar Mon 20-Jan-14 17:35:59

Well from the first day of my last period my due date would be 18th Sept, but going by conception dates I think it is closer to 22nd Sept. Feels like a very long time away at the mo. Good luck with your GP tomorrow, just insist on what you want. If you've bled they should send you to the EPU or give you a blood test for your hcg levels xx

Penguinttc Mon 20-Jan-14 19:25:01

Sebsmummy, I used a asda test (early test?) and a tesco test then this afternoon a first response, which I saw a tiny tiny line, but it then went after 10 mins, and was probably evap line...Going to wait for af now
I've cried at loads of stupid things, snappy and hardly said a word to dp...... Mega pmt sad
Anyone check their cervix? Mines high and hard... Anyone know what that means lol?

Penguinttc Mon 20-Jan-14 19:25:44

Good luck at the docs sebsmummy!

Squeakybeaky Mon 20-Jan-14 19:43:29

Penguin that's sounds good to me. Shouldn't be an evap line on the first response if was there in the time frame. Fingers crossed for you.

I'm feeling the same - snappy, moody etc much the same I do with pmt to be honest. I'm due anytime between now and Thursday......

Penguinttc Mon 20-Jan-14 20:18:04

Fingers crossed for us then squeaky beaky! Do come back and let us know the outcome
Still very low in mood here... And wanting to eat everything in sight... Af no doubt sad

sebsmummy1 Mon 20-Jan-14 20:21:46

Penguin i NEVER got an evap line on First Response grin

Squeakybeaky Mon 20-Jan-14 20:30:17

Yes I'll come and let you know the outcome smile I'm totally torn between expecting AF and expecting a bfp it really could go either way.

I've tested with a couple of Internet cheapies which have shown faint pink lines but after the time so most def evap. I have one first response left which I'm holding out to use on at least Wednesday.

Going mad..........arrrrgggghhhhhhh

Zermatt Tue 21-Jan-14 04:34:24

It's really comforting reading all of these posts and seeing it's not just me or tenterhooks over analysing ever symptom/sign and watching the days pass frustratingly slowly! Hope it goes well at the doctors Sebsmummy, and everyone else gets a BFP super soon.

So the PMS symptoms I've been having since Friday are really sore sensitive boobs, more frisky than usual (I always get like that just before AF) but have also got quite a persistent pain/ache in my left ovary area, which is very similar to what I usually feel around the time I think I ovulate, but this time it's lasted for 4 days and it's sharper than usual. So obvs being the big bag of neurosis that I am, I've been in a googling frenzy and found out that it can be quite common to get a cyst straight after the egg is fertilized in the ovary that it came from, which could cause the pain. Anyone know of this or had this, or get ovary type pain just before their usual AF? Not sure if I am over analysing all usual PMS symptoms in a new light as ttc and that I normally get this or whether it's new! Sorry couldn't sleep, feel good getting that off my chest. My hubby is snoring blissfully unaware next to me. Xx

Zermatt Tue 21-Jan-14 05:17:43

Corpus luteum cyst on ovary is the technical term.

Charlie343 Tue 21-Jan-14 07:21:38

squeakybeaky good luck testing today!

Today's 9 days DPO for me. Tested on an IC (tried to resist but couldn't!!) and got a BFN sad feeling AF type pains today so feel a little down about the whole thing - silly I know!!

So... It's 13dpo and 3 days before my af is due and I have just tested with a first responce early test, and it's a sold neg sad gutted.
Gutted it didn't happen this month, I think mostly because it's never not happened the first month for me, and I feel like I've failed some how...
Does anyone else think I am definately out of the running this month? I was sure I would be due on af Wednesday, due to ovulating early, but it could be Friday now... My af changes between 26 to 28 days, highly annoying.
Anyway I have the day off today, so I am not going to focus on it and I am going to have a nice hot bath I think.
Sorry zermatt I know nothing about that..
Squeaky beaky good luck, really got my fingers crossed for you!

Thinking about it, having a mid sept baby (c-section) would be a nightmare for me anyway... So many birthdays lol.

MissMagpie Tue 21-Jan-14 12:25:18

Well, after a much-needed dose of courage from Lottystar, I did a Clearblue digital test this morning.

As I said have had no AF symptoms but no anything else either, so you can imagine my shock when the digitial display revealed I am 2-3 weeks pregnant! This is my 12th month of ttc #1 and I have even started the infertility tests with my GP such has been the lack of success and due to my irregular AFs!

Now I have another dilemma - my DH is out the country this week so I haven't told him yet as I don't know whether to tell him by phone, send him a pic of the test or wait til he gets back.

This forum is the only thing I have even breathed a word about it to! What should I do?!?!

sebsmummy1 Tue 21-Jan-14 12:36:10

Aaaaah, I would send him a photo grin

MASSIVE congratulations xxxx

sebsmummy1 Tue 21-Jan-14 12:37:34

Penguin im really sorry for your bfn. I suspect if you were pregnant this cycle you would have seen a line, however weirder things have happened. It's not over till the fat witch arrives!! wink

CagedMango Tue 21-Jan-14 13:14:27

Congratulations to Sebsmummy and MissMagpie and all the other bfp. I'm sorry to hear about the bfn. Good luck to all those still waiting for af!

I thought I was out yesterday as I had a bit of a bleed 11dpo (I wouldn't say spotting but still not much) but it has stopped now so I'm hoping it was implantation bleeding. Other symptoms could go either way (af or bfp). Guess I'll find out in a few days when af is due. I'm going to try not to test until Saturday, although I think I could test earlier (and I might have to!).

Good luck all!

Zermatt Tue 21-Jan-14 13:15:13

Massive congrats miss magpie, I had a feeling you were! That's fab news, How to tell your DH is a tough one, do you want to be there to see his reaction? Are you able to wait and keep a lid on the news until he is back?

Penguinttc Tue 21-Jan-14 13:53:25

Congrats on the BFP!!!!! How wonderful! I would wait until he is home to tell him, but it would really play on my mind to send the pic. It's a tough one.

Sebsmummy, with my first I was two weeks late before a line came up... So I am hoping it's the same story. I had even been to the docs and had tests there and they said neg too... Now dc is 7! Although I suspect you are right, and I am now waiting for my af. Feeling abit better about it now than earlier though.
Congrats again on the BFP

MissMagpie Tue 21-Jan-14 14:13:43

He isn't back until Sunday!!! Damn business trip.
Not sure I can wait until then....

Lottystar Tue 21-Jan-14 15:17:35

MissMagpie, soooooo pleased for you! Congratulations smile grin

Send a picture of the pregnancy test if you can't wait, but it may be special to tell him in person too.

My first bout of real morning sickness today but just happy as I know my hormones are doing what they should be! smile

Catwoman4981 Tue 21-Jan-14 15:22:00

Too many to read through but did Harry2007 get her BFP?

I ovulated today and I am dreading the wait again blush

Charlie343 Tue 21-Jan-14 15:40:49

Congratulations missmagpie! I wouldn't be able to contain myself and would probably try and wait till he is back, last about a couple of hours, and cave in and send a pic!! smile

Zermatt Tue 21-Jan-14 15:54:10

Maybe call him and ask him to go into his email as you've sent him a photo that you think he'd like to see and wait on the line while he opens it and digests the news so you can hear his reaction as the penny drops. I agree I wouldn't be able to wait until Sunday!

maeanne Tue 21-Jan-14 17:41:05

Congratulations missmagpie! smile I think I would want to wait and tell my DH in person. I'd want to see his reaction!

I'm out for this month. AF due today and I have started spotting. sad

Squeakybeaky Tue 21-Jan-14 22:17:10

I tested this morning with a frer and got another bfn so guess I'm out this month. sad penguin I'm in your boat, my cycle varies between 25-28 days so I'm just wishing it to hurry up now!

Hurrah for the recent BFPS! Think I would do the email and phone call thing, def couldn't wait til Sunday

Tranquilitybaby Tue 21-Jan-14 23:01:21

Aww missmagpie congrats! If send him a guess what text then a pic smile xx

Penguinttc Wed 22-Jan-14 11:17:58

Awww squeakybeaky, I'm sorry. Fingers crossed though. I've had terrible cramps since last night, but no af yet. I'll probably be really late this month just to through things right up in the air. I've decided next cycle I'm not doing ov sticks, just going to guess and try every other night, if poss. Dp thinks I'm putting too much stress on myself.
Miss magpie - did u tell him?

MissMagpie Wed 22-Jan-14 13:03:12

So I had to tell him! It was too big a secret to keep all to myself. He was very pleased and relieved that we actually do work after all, but as it's our first experience of this we are keeping our feet on the floor unless something goes wrong.

Now he keeps texting asking if I'm ok etc. He would much rather have known now than wait until Sunday so I did right in the end.

Zermatt Wed 22-Jan-14 13:24:07

That's really good MissM, I couldn't have kept that all to myself either for that long, and good that you can now both talk about it. Bet he can't wait to get home to you smile

Penguinttc Wed 22-Jan-14 14:06:37

Arghhhh I dug out the test from yesterday, the first response early test and there's a line pink line! Do this tests give evap lines?!?!?

sebsmummy1 Wed 22-Jan-14 14:23:29

Penguin, I'm my experience, no!

Squeakybeaky Wed 22-Jan-14 14:56:12

Sounds good to me penguin........congrats!

Lottystar Wed 22-Jan-14 18:21:57

Do another with your first pee tomorrow Penguin, sounds very promising. I've not had evap lines with First Response. The blue dye tests are the ones to watch for that.

Awr, pleased you told him MissMagpie, I'm sure you made him very happy.

I'm feeling super anxious today. Tired but other pregnancy symptoms are mild. After the mc in Oct I just can't enjoy or believe it yet confused

Penguinttc Wed 22-Jan-14 23:43:50

Ok, so I was naughty... I went and brought two different types of tests... A blue one (sainsburys) and a new one in Lloyd's... Viola or something. Both have very faint lines! The viola is a lot stronger, but still faint. I'll try and get a pic in better light tomorrow!
I have two more, I'm going to wait until the weekend now and see what happens... And now af as of yet either smile

Zermatt Thu 23-Jan-14 07:36:02

Sounds very promising and very exciting penguin! smile

Penguinttc Thu 23-Jan-14 09:14:59

Just done one more (my last- promise) and it's positive! Sainsburys with fmu. I decided to test because I was feeling queasy again.
Fingers crossed it sticks and stays the duration!
How u feeling squeaky?

sebsmummy1 Thu 23-Jan-14 09:18:43

When is your EDD Penguin? Xx

Lottystar Thu 23-Jan-14 11:45:11

Congrats Penguin!! smile

Penguinttc Thu 23-Jan-14 15:15:47

From lmp it's 4th cot, but I'll probably be elective section like last time so two weeks before - so approx 20th February. But I'm hoping for vbac, if spd stays away.
What's yours sebsmummy? Have you moved over to pregnancy yet? I'll probably wait a while before joining in over there, just incase. Although I've had a lot of strong waves of nausea today, still no af and my titties are tingling loads! That's my tell tale sign, so I'm so pleased. Dp has already dragged me around the baby section in next, it's so cute seeing him so excited!

Squeakybeaky Thu 23-Jan-14 21:00:27

So happy for you Penguin, really great news! I woke up to AF this morning. I'm ok about it though! I'm promising myself I won't test early next month x

Penguinttc Fri 24-Jan-14 08:46:45

Started having really bad crippling cramps last night, stood up and felt a gush.... Red blood. The cramps are awful, so I'm having the day off and spending it in bed. sad gutted. With 5 pos tests, I had had so much hope. Dp is saying don't worry as soon as the loss stops we can try again, at least there's hope ey.
Sorry to bring bad news so early.

Penguinttc Fri 24-Jan-14 08:47:59

Previous post... 20th February? I meant September... Sorry, another dim moment from me.

sebsmummy1 Fri 24-Jan-14 09:41:20

Oh Penguin darling, is it like a full on period now or has it stopped? Maybe there is still hope? xxx

Lottystar Fri 24-Jan-14 10:01:55

Sorry Penguin, perhaps you should contact your GP or EPU for advice? Some ladies do bleed early on and go on to have a healthy pregnancy. It would be too early for a scan yet but they may check your HCG levels. Sending you lots of unMumsNet hugs xx

Penguinttc Fri 24-Jan-14 11:57:09

Still bleeding, very heavy. Not like my usual af, and the cramps are very bad. It's more like when I miscarried at 6 weeks. I've not tested and I don't think I will unless it's longer than a week, the bleeding. My boobs are still tingling and I've had sickness too today, strange since I only ovd on the 8th or there abouts... I've never bled this heavy and gone to term, so we are just going to come to terms with it today, and then try again when possible.
Thanks you two xxx

sebsmummy1 Fri 24-Jan-14 12:02:15

Thinking of you, so sorry xxx

maeanne Fri 24-Jan-14 19:13:26

So sorry Penguin x

Zermatt Sat 25-Jan-14 14:29:22

So sorry penguin sad hope you are doing ok.

AF came for me today 2 days early, 27 day cycle instead of usual 30 days and looking back have a feeling I ovulated on day 20.

Penguinttc Sun 26-Jan-14 17:23:34

Oh no, are you tracking? I'm ok... Taken a few days out of the Ttc page to get over it and now we are preparing for round two.
Sorry you got your af! X
We have decided to up our game, I know it's only cycle two but ...
I'm going to exercise abit more to get my blood flowing. Taking more vitamins and getting dp on them too. He is going to look after his balls (temp wise) and I am going to temp, check for ov and we are going to Dtd abit longer into my cycle. Last time I got a pos ov stick and we had sex once because we were trying the trying for a girl thing and having sex so the girl sperm would get there before I oved. But after the chemical pregnancy/ early loss we are just going to go for it, and do it over my full fertile time.

Zermatt Tue 28-Jan-14 08:42:43

That sounds like a good plan of action Penguin, all of those things can only help, and at least you also feel like you're actively doing what you can to help things along.

I've bought a BBT thermometer today and an opk so will start tracking myself properly this cycle. We only dtd 3 times last cycle on what I assumed would be my most fertile days, was using fertility friend on my phone and going by the fact my cycle is usually 29 or 30 days. This time round I initially thought I'd ovulated around day 14 as had some ov pain and ewcm, but then on day 19 I had ov pain again, a lot worse and more ewcm so very confusing,

Zermatt Tue 28-Jan-14 08:45:27

Oops pressed send by accident, on my iPhone! Was going to say that my cycle was also 3 days shorter than I'd expected it would be. So looking forward to trying again this month hopefully with a better idea of when to try. My OH has been really stressed out at work, and really tired so trying to encourage him to regularly dtd is a bit tricky, but he's going to have to buck his ideas up this month ;) good luck xxx

Hopefulmumtobe Mon 19-May-14 11:07:21

I had my 5 day blastocyst implant 3 days ago and still have another 8 days until my blood test at the Hospital......only 3 days in and I am going crazy! Every little thing I feel makes me paranoid! Slight twinges like very mild cramping has been happening....not sure whether this is the enlarging of the uterus to make room for the Baby to grow or I am getting my period. This is torture!
