Marking my space with the cool ones at the back wink

MrsF2510 Mon 06-Jan-14 19:10:12

In response to a question on the previous thread about vits. I took seven seas last month but this month have splashed out and bought pregnacare. Before that (3months before) I was just taking folic acid. My sister who just gave birth wasn't taking anything and after 3 months she took pregnacare and then fell. X

Kt1991 Mon 06-Jan-14 19:20:19

Evening everyone! Congrats on more BFPs! I tested this evening cause got more tests in the post! AF due either tomoz or wed, and I have a faint line! Will leave it a coupes days (if I can) and test again as dont want to get my hopes up!

Thanks for the new thread Choccygrin

I just take folic acid grin

angelicjen Mon 06-Jan-14 19:25:39

Woop, lucky bus!

LH1981 Mon 06-Jan-14 19:26:23

Ginger, scoot over so I can squeeze in next to you at the back grin

Got FR for tomorrow morning. Not expecting much!
Xx

bumpbangbump Mon 06-Jan-14 19:40:21

KT that's great news!

No I haven't tested again. If I'm late at next AF then obvs will but only have frer and feel like it's most likely a weird AF rather than anything more exciting. Just wondered if anyone had experience of of so soon after AF.

If I don't get lucky this month I might invest in some opks as we'll be taking a break for 2 to 3 months to avoid Christmas and a heap of birthdays in Jan and Feb!

Hibou7688 Mon 06-Jan-14 19:44:03

Af due soon.. But no signs of her yet. I'm still down as lurking on the stats. Next time it changes can I be up'd to ttc #1 cycle 2. Bfp due 31st Jan

Posted on the old thread so excuse the repeat. Feeling proper grumpy right now. In need of some positivity.

"Congratulations on the BFPs. You lucky lot!

I'm pretty sure this month is going to be a complete right off. TMI but with DH shifts and a very demanding 3yo it's been hard to fit in dtd . Fx but I'm thinking we might have to double our efforts next month.

I hope you ladies are having more luck than me!"

Flukewoman Mon 06-Jan-14 19:46:48

Wow new thread already?! Thanks and thanks congrats Kt

rockin20s Mon 06-Jan-14 19:49:00

I'm just taking folic acid at the mo but I think I will invest in something more substantial next week when these run out

Honeybear30 Mon 06-Jan-14 19:50:00

I'm just taking folic acid to. What is in the other ones? I eat a fairly balanced diet and I read on NHS that it's mainly just folic acid they recommend. Are the others meant to actually help you conceive or are they just good for you if you do conceive? Guess I'm being a bit lazy by just asking rather than googling!

Think I ov'd earlier this month than the previous 2. Normally get ewcm and pains on cd 15 but this time it was cd 13. Does ewcm come on the day of ov or the day before? I have never got my head around that.

I'm feeling quite optimistic about this cycle, have no idea why! I told dh the alst two cycles that I wasn't pg. I knew I wasn't. But for some reason just think this cycle could be our one. And I'm only cd15 now...tell me to shush!!

Thanks for the new thread Choccy!
Wow, how exciting KT, fingers crossed for a darker line in a couple of days!!
I'm taking pregnacare, always had the made idea that the most expensive is always better!! Idiot!

bumpbangbump Mon 06-Jan-14 19:52:36

I've been taking folic acid and vitamin d. Wondering if that's what's changed my cycle length though as I was pretty stable at 27 days and now seem to be 25. Oh well, we'll see I guess!

Kittyrose1 Mon 06-Jan-14 20:05:06

Thanks for the new thread. I've felt extremely sick this evening, that and a headache ... Could it be she whispers....

Lovecuppy Mon 06-Jan-14 20:30:59

Hopping on to this lovely new bus to hide at the back as only cd 5. Hate wishing the month away never used to be like this. Digging out the sexy undies in the hope of a DTD marathon in a few days :-) congratulations to all the BFPs :-)

Nordicmom Mon 06-Jan-14 20:39:41

Marking my space ... Just tomorrow to go until AF due latest I think . Pretty sure I'll be off to the next bus but I'll hang on until proof's here. Thought I was seeing things this morning when I finally Poas late and there seemed to be a thin vertical line ( have had them before and they've then gotten stronger the next day ) but turns out it was a long straight scratch on the plastic window argh . Also so annoyingly have been in worse shape generally so constant morning sickness like nausea which used to be a telltale sign but no means nothing sad...

Ooooooo kt gringringrin

So, someone slap me please, I have totally convinced myself this evening that I am pg. I have exactly the same symptoms as the last 2 months and tonight I felt my cervix which I've not done for a while as my mum shit the absolute hell out of me during my first chem and told me it can make things worse by touching it (retired mw for those that don't know) Anyway, I got a small bit of brown on my finger after I wiped my finger on the loo roll.
I also tonight feel sick, like it's stuck in my throat kind if sick.
If this is the start if an early af I will absolutely very pissed off beyond belief annoyed!

Onlymydogunderstandsme Mon 06-Jan-14 20:56:41

Congratulations to all those with BFP's thanks

I have been keeping busy to try and take my mind off of the waiting, I think I ovulated early this month so it seems to be a long wait. Only the first cycle though so I am not getting my hopes up too much. I have been feeling very tired but think i'm probably just coming down with something!

Gingerpanther27 Mon 06-Jan-14 21:00:31

Me and *lh been the cool limbo'ers together at the back. smile asda cheapies at the ready. OH can'. Understand why I don't want to poas in front of him hmm (he's in the bath)

Why not ginger?

Fairypants Mon 06-Jan-14 21:12:52

Well is seems the bus is lucky for me -I got a bfp today (well 3 actuallywink)
I'm only 10 dpo but a bit of a poas addict so couldn't resist the cramping on sat followed by 2days of slight am nausea.
I'm a bit nervous tbh. confused

Gingerpanther27 Mon 06-Jan-14 21:15:56

choccy I tend to piac and well...idk. Just didn't rally want to. It was bfn though but I've probably drank too much. We'll that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it lol.

Flukewoman Mon 06-Jan-14 21:19:42

thanks Congrats fairy pants - and wow, luckiest bus ever!

Congratulations fairy!!

Lol ginger, I really feel for you sad

Congrats Fairy!! I'm not sure I can wait 10 days now with all these bfp floating around!
Good luck x

Gingerpanther27 Mon 06-Jan-14 21:56:16

Congrats fairypants Think it's an imagined one but might have a very very very faint bfp but my pee wasn't very concentrated despite me desperately holding it. Roll on morning...

newforest Mon 06-Jan-14 21:57:27

Can I join? TTC # 1 cycle 3. BFP due 30th Jan. I have a long wait!

htbftm Mon 06-Jan-14 22:05:08

wow - congrats KT and FairyPants - that's fab news!! :-)
I ve been off cerazette for nearly a month, and having no idea whether i'm waiting for af or a bfp is driving me mad!!

LH1981 Mon 06-Jan-14 22:05:50

Welcome aboard newforest

ginger, pants! Well, there's always Wednesday!! I know what you mean re poas in front of dh. I feel the same, almost like if he's present then it's bound to be a bfp. Nutty eh?!
Also, I am like a crazy lady holding an obvious bfn up to the light at every possible angle trying to make out a line grin...and I don't want any witnesses!

LH1981 Mon 06-Jan-14 22:06:38

Meant obvious bfn...obviously x

Gingerpanther27 Mon 06-Jan-14 22:11:27

lh that's more likely tbh. I dismantled it blush

htbftm Mon 06-Jan-14 22:12:55

Wow congrats KT and Fairypants!! :-) xx
I'v been off cerazette for nearly a month and not knowing if I'm waiting for af or a line is driving me mad! confused

KittyVonCatsington Mon 06-Jan-14 22:13:28

Still no positive OPK result on CD14. Gah! How the hell am I going to cope waiting to take an actual pregnancy test blush

Saharap2 Mon 06-Jan-14 22:16:35

TTC #1
Cycle 4
AF due 25 Jan

Good luck everyone

Gingerpanther27 Mon 06-Jan-14 22:17:24

Looked again and nada. Think it was just a shadow imagined

ImaginaryHat Mon 06-Jan-14 22:20:35

Thanks for the new bus choccy smile.

Your symptoms do sound promising if they're the same as the last couple of months, got everything crossed for you.

Not had chance to catch up on the old bus but co grants to all the new bfps!

Got a slightly darker opk line today, although not as dark as control line yet, a couple of days away I reckon, which prob means I'll be ovulating just in time for me going away for work on thursday hmm

Oh I'm taking 7 seas trying for a baby, plus a high strength vitamin b tablet (10mg b6, 200ug folic acid and 500 ug b12). Am also gonna add an extra 50mg b6 after ov to try and lengthen my lp in the hope of a sticky bean.

PetiteChouette Mon 06-Jan-14 22:26:30

OOOh thanks Choccy for the new thread...this thread and the last have run away with me. So sorry for not keeping up.

Congratulations to all the BFPs...the last two days have been kind to our thread.

LH - interesting slip!! Fx crossed you said it right first time.

I've been having a misery day. DP has been a total nightmare. He was meant to fly to the US today for work and didn't go for a number of reasons (partly weather-related, partly work-related). But he's been a PITA all day. I wish he'd gone tbh. He's been a bear with a sore head and moaned and stropped all around the house (we both wfh). The house has got quite messy over christmas and he was being a stroppy nightmare tidying and doing his packing for tomorrow. I got my BFN this morning...but I've also had horrid reflux the last few days. I thought it could have been a PG symptom, but clearly not. Last night I ended up throwing up, as it was so bad and today I feel awful with continued burning and feeling sick. His stropping has made me even more stressed and upset, coupled with the BFN...it's been a recipe for a horrid day. I know it sounds stupid, but all his work travel wasn't anything to do with me and yet he's made me suffer with that and the stress as he flounced about the house in stroppy tidying mode, as I tried to work. After being ill and getting a negative, I hoped he'd be lovely...guess not to be. I also don't think he gets that every BFN and new cycle makes me think I'm never gonna be a mum. He has kids from a previous relationship, so just doesnt seem to realise how tough a BFN is for me.

Anyhow, just needed to vent a bit, as I know me saying all this to DP will only end up in an argument at the moment. AF cramps are settling in, so I reckon it'll start tomorrow, maybe Wednesday.

Good luck everyone else and thanks for listening. sad

LH1981 Mon 06-Jan-14 22:26:50

Sorry cross posts Ginger, didn't see you have possible bfp! Fingers crossed for the morning!!

htb obviously everyone's different, but I came off cerazette in august and it took 7 weeks for AF to come back and in the meantime I had EVERY pregnancy symptom going. Like I said, its not a one size fits all, but if you haven't already, it might be worth a Google to see common withdrawal symptoms. Xx

missmrsmummy Mon 06-Jan-14 22:27:30

I am completely lost this cycle! Last couple of months were all accurate 28 days, this time I'm all over the place!

Had an early period (or what I thought was implantation - obvs not!) on Fri 27th-Sun 29th then proper period Mon 30th for 4 days. This was weird as I usually have really heavy 8 day periods which trail on for a few days after that!

So is my cycle now only 24 days? If so, will I ovulate earlier? Usually day 15. So now will it be day 11? If so, that's tomorrow. I used my OPK this morning (neg) so will keep testing...

Also just remembered that I am not clear from Depo until March so all these 'efforts' may be wasted for now!

Humph. Really wanted an Autumn 2014 baby but may have to let that idea go!

PS congratulations to all the BFPs! Sorry for grumpy post but I went back to work today! Still, that means time will pass quicker in my next 2ww!

mum2kiss Mon 06-Jan-14 22:29:14

Sorry didnt realise there was a new bus! Did we run out of posts on the old one?

I ordered some pregnacare conception earlier so will see if that gets my body in the right condition for round 2!

KittyVonCatsington Mon 06-Jan-14 22:33:24

Oh, PetiteChouette, you poor poor thing-such a lot on your plate thanks. Big virtual hugs from over here. At least today is over and it is still not too late to get your BFP-it might just be too early to test.

Gingerpanther27 Mon 06-Jan-14 22:36:30

Feeling very meh about it all. I'm glad I've got ds1 especially after the mc's beforehand and getting told it was unlikely I'd conceive naturally due to extreme prolonged physical abuse I suffered. But it's like all of a sudden I want to go though the whole lot again even though my pregnancy with him wasn't the easiest. And every bfn I get is like another slap in the face. Now been in limbo land it's like my body is giving me a big f##k you.

KittyVonCatsington Mon 06-Jan-14 22:36:51

missmrsmummy-don't really have any answers but you may just have to wait and see as you could still be in the chance for an Autumn baby grin (though I'm sure winter baby will be just as fab!)

LH1981 Mon 06-Jan-14 22:41:11

petite feel free to rant honey. Men just do.not.get.it. In fact that should be a new mumsnet acronym... mjdngi.
Chin up! At least as of tomorrow you can make as much mess as you like grin...and text him pics if the mess x

ImaginaryHat Mon 06-Jan-14 22:41:31

Oh gosh so sorry some of you are having a hard time or feeling down at the moment. Ttc is such an emotional business. flowers

PetiteChouette Mon 06-Jan-14 22:42:50

Ahh Thanks Kitty! You guys here are so lovely! I was so cross with DP this evening and was planning to say all this to him, but I knew it would cause a huge row, as he was in a mood. And then I realised exactly where I could come for a bit of TTC sympathy. Getting all teary now (in a good way).

Good luck Ginger, LH for POAS tomorrow...roll on the BFPs. And fingers crossed for you, Choccy!! Will you POAS in the morning, or wait??

LH1981 Mon 06-Jan-14 22:46:02

And Ginger, I know how you feel about being in limbo land, it's getting a little soul destroying.

It took me 5 years to fall pregnant with ds#1 so I know it can feel like it's never going to happen. Try not to stress, I really believe that being rekaxed is the key. In fact it was only when I accepted we wouldn't have kids naturally and we stopped 'trying' that I fell pregnant!

Good luck and happy thoughts to all you lovely ladies having a rubbish day xx

toots123 Mon 06-Jan-14 22:47:43

Officially lost the plot

just sat and decided when to pee on certain sticks
"Tomorrow is amazon cheapie"
"Friday is frer"
husband is looking at me funny

If no af by then, I give up and will pee on opk's in the morning just so I see a line

cottonwool4brains Mon 06-Jan-14 23:39:16

Thinking Ill be off this bus soon, stomach cramps and shouted at DH loads tonight for no reason, usually the case just before af appears.... Sigh. Wondering if it's time for a trip to the drs.....

Gingerpanther27 Mon 06-Jan-14 23:49:25

cotton why drs?

Gingerpanther27 Mon 06-Jan-14 23:49:25

cotton why drs?

pebble82 Tue 07-Jan-14 00:01:52

Can I hop back on this bus please. Stats will be ttc#1 cycle2 BFP due end Jan/beginning Feb so might just scrape through for this month's.

Blimey new thread already? Congrats to all the new BFPs and hugs to those who've lost the plot/ are stuck in limbo land/ have silly DPs! Have some wine and cake

DH cracked me up yesterday- he said he was convinced I was already pregnant (I've managed to put on more than half a stone coming off the pill) and why hadn't I POAS yet- he say an advert that said it was 99% accurate 1 day afterwards! I had to explain that was after you period was due, not 1 day after sex!! grin Blokes are so clueless

HRMumness Tue 07-Jan-14 06:21:59

Petite - That is very frustrating. Welcome aboard.

I think AF has got me. Almost certain actually. Had light spotting last night, this AM woke up with bad cramps and a heavier flow. Might just make it on the tail end of this bus.

HRMumness TTC#2 Cycle 2 BFP due 31st Jan

Am not at all miffed that DH insisted we wait until at least Christmas Day to try, even though this was probably too late to concieve, so have wasted a whole cycle. Nevermind that we have no family here and my DM offered to come from Oz stay with us to help with DD, despite planning to be here Christmas this year as well while his DM swans over here for a holiday and almost outright refused coming when #2 arrives because she won't get much of a holiday. I should add I actually said to her, would she like to be here, since DM was here last time and thought it would be nice for her to spend time with DD, be first to meet the next one.

angry

cottonwool4brains Tue 07-Jan-14 06:37:10

Ginger. Its been 10 cycles now and I'm getting concerned that something is wrong.

DoctorDonnaNoble Tue 07-Jan-14 07:02:28

Taking up my seat. I think AF might be due on Sunday but no symptoms as of yet and it's first cycle post MC so I'll just have to wait and see.

Honeybear30 Tue 07-Jan-14 07:12:10

munday you did make me giggle! One day wait would be so much easier lol. I did have a conversation with my dh last night about how he wished there was some kind of light system so that a green light would indicate pregnancy. How easy would that be?!

Rubyshoe Tue 07-Jan-14 08:04:14

Congrats to Fairypants and all the other lovely BFPs!
Sorry you are having such a stressful time Petit when we get our lovely BFps we will look back on the and laugh.....
Absolutely know what you mean Honey DH and I reckon it should be like those strong man machines at fairgrounds, you know the ones you hit the plate really hard with the hammer and try and get the bell to ding at the top ? How great would that be.... DTD and wait for the DING and flashing light..... gooooooaaaal!
AFm CD20 here had peaks on CBFM on days 17 and 18
after a longer 30 day cycle last month Am determined not to POAS until day period is due.... Back to work tomorrow so that will help!

RetroHippy Tue 07-Jan-14 08:18:36

RetroHippy TTC #1 cycle #1 hoping for bfp by end of Jan.

No idea when to expect AF as last months cycles have been 26 and 50 days (bloody microgynon!). Wasn't expecting to be on this bus as DH said Feb but then changed his mind got bored of using condoms

CD 16 today, OPKs say no ovulation so far, so looking like another long cycle this month. Oh well, will just have to keep DTD just in case wink

Congrats to all the BFPs so far! Going to be an exciting 2014 for lots of us!

Morning grin

Congratulations Fairypants grin

Petite.....sorry your dh took his work/travel frustrations out on you! That seems to be very typical of men!! And they really don't understand the whole trying ttc thing, it's very different for a woman I think and it's always sad when af arrives thanks

LH1981 Tue 07-Jan-14 09:07:49

Well bfn today, no surprises. Now cd58. In a foul mood today, plus I trapped a nerve in my back this morning and somebody put an empty packet of nurofen back in the cupboard!!
I shall take my bad mood somewhere else lol

Morning ladies!
Congratulations Fairy.
And big hugs to all those having a tough time right now. I had a meltdown yesterday. Combination of hating where we live, boredom from not working, missing friends and family and not being pregnant. Just felt so down hmm
Feeling better today... I think. And DH is being very good with the TTC malarkey.

Another thing that's winding me up... I'm temping - I brought a new thermometer and used both the new one and old one to compare.... Such different results! And ff is giving me the little empty circles (inaccurate data) instead of the solid ones on my chart. Have been inputting the data from the old thermometer. Not making charting much easier to understand!

sazzlehopes Tue 07-Jan-14 09:25:31

So sorry to those in limbo - LH and Ginger I would have gone completely barmy by now...

Congrats fairypants!

Choccy - so hoping you are pg...surely reconising signs is a good thing?!

CD13 here and peak on my machine which is a few days earlier than normal. Here goes then...! grin

akachan Tue 07-Jan-14 09:39:29

Just thought I'd say hello and congrats to the bfps. I'm firmly in 2ww now - I think I'm 8 DPO, maybe 9. Don't feel any symptoms of anything. It's my best friend's birthday on the 13th which is when I'm due on so maybe she'll bring me luck!

Gingerpanther27 Tue 07-Jan-14 09:43:40

Bfn by way of a change. sad not a whiff of the line I imagined saw last night. Af due next week if it were to appear

Rubyshoe Tue 07-Jan-14 09:51:57

Good luck and synchronise watches Sazzle!

English are you temping at the same time every day... Won't help different thermometers thing but I know on my chart if I am more than 30mins out it will give me n empty circle and disregard the data.....

LH1981 Tue 07-Jan-14 10:11:35

And Ginger, I know how you feel about being in limbo land, it's getting a little soul destroying.

It took me 5 years to fall pregnant with ds#1 so I know it can feel like it's never going to happen. Try not to stress, I really believe that being rekaxed is the key. In fact it was only when I accepted we wouldn't have kids naturally and we stopped 'trying' that I fell pregnant!

Good luck and happy thoughts to all you lovely ladies having a rubbish day xx

Hazelbrowneyes Tue 07-Jan-14 10:16:16

Hi all,

I'm trying to work out if I'm CD7 or 8...AF arrived mid-afternoon on 31/12 - 31 days after last period (first month off Yasmin) and was heavy-ish. Would you count that as CD1?

Anyway, last month I had cramps on CD6, CD13 and seriously bad pains on CD18 so I assume I ovulated on CD18. I have cramps today on either CD7 or 8. I'm hoping this is a good sign and I'm following the same pattern as last month so at least I know what to expect. The app on my phone says I will ovulate around 17th/18th this month, if I keep to a 31-32 day cycle. We're not going down the route of OPKs yet as that freaks DH out a bit. We're trying to keep it relaxed but I'm finding that impossible! I was so anxious last month waiting for AF as I had no idea when it would arrive.

I'm taking folic acid at the moment and have been since the end of November.

pebble82 Tue 07-Jan-14 10:18:46

Definitely sympathise with all the DP annoyances. I'm sort of pleased you have similar issues with the men not being as clued up or interested. Friends of mine gave me the impression that if they're not interested they just don't care and I should think about whether our relationship is worth it. I was beginning to think it was just my DP. But I KNOW He loves me and wants a family. He's just no good at expressing feelings and is old fashioned when it comes to discussing "women's things". Sometimes friends should just butt out!

LH and Ginger....sorry you're still in limbo, really hoping you find out one way or the other soonthanks

Sazzle....have fun wink

Choccy....really hoping you get a bfp sticky bean this monthgrin

Thanks ruby think i need to set an alarm and make sure i do it at the exact same time everyday....Only prob is... as soon as my cat hears the beeps he thinks its time to get up and starts meowing until i do!! I suppose thats practise for a baby!! haha!!

I don't think men really understand a womans true desire to have children and how ttc can play with your mood and emotions. I don't think that means they're a bad person or bad partner, its just different for them....its not their clock ticking loud and clear. If friends are saying stuff, ignore it. They're not in your position.

mum2kiss Tue 07-Jan-14 10:33:15

OH MY FREAKING GOODNESS!! AF is trying to kill me! Woke up late this morning because stupid alarm didn't go off! We have downstairs bathroom and i just made it out of the bedroom door when i felt (TMI ALERT!!!!!)splashing down the back of my legs! Made it to the bathroom for the downpour and then came out to get on my hands and knees and scrub the carpet all the way up the stairs to the bedroom door!!!

To make things worse there was hideous traffic and it took me a 2hr round trip to get dd to school (usually 40mins!) all whilst hoping no more flooding occurred in the car!! As if that wasn't bad enough my petrol light was on and I was stuck in traffic! Thankfully made it to the petrol station in the nick of time!

At least I get day off work as I didn't want to risk going in and flooding again at work!

The day is off to a flying start!

Good morning btw!!!

Knottyknitter Tue 07-Jan-14 10:49:24

honeybear it's a good idea to take vitamin D as well, especially at this time of year as unlikely to be getting enough sunlight to make enough yourself. Helps with bone development among other things and calcium absorption.

Folic acid is important to prevent spina bifida and has been shown to reduce risk of things like cleft palate as well. It makes sense to take both at least for first trimester, so while ttc as ell to make sure you catch the first month. Part of the reason GPs like to see women with certain medical problems prepregnacy is to start a higher dose of Folic acid if they take certain medications.

Those two are the only ones with good proof over a healthy diet though, and the vitamin D one is less secure evidence than folate.

Pregnancy multivitamins are really just multivitamins that don't contain retinal/vitamin A, as high doses mess up the fetus's signalling mechanisms for "build arm here, grow leg there etc" so can lead to problems (same reason to avoid liver etc).

mum2kiss Tue 07-Jan-14 11:06:25

thanks for that knottyknitter I'd always wondered what was different about pre natal vitamins... I think I will just take pregnacare to be on the safe side...

Knottyknitter Tue 07-Jan-14 11:21:52

Nice to know the studying I spent half of last year on has a real world application!

(I'm on pregnacare too, on boots 3-4-2 it's not too pricy)

icy121 Tue 07-Jan-14 11:40:51

Are the pregnacare ones much different from boots own? In terms of vitamin content & quality?

Petite get messy!!

Little bit of brown around my cervix this morning and I mean a tiny bit. Pleeeeeeease be implantation!!
No I'm not going to poas til the weekend, only 9dpo today smile

Re vits I change to pregnacare once I have a bfp (have started them twice and it's very frustrating them being in the cupboard!!!)

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 11:57:51

I've also purchased pregnacare conception vits for this month and next month! Got them 3for2 at Boots with DH's wellmans smile have tried other vits before but thought I'd try pregnacare now!!! Will try anything......

Well af sure is dragging her ugly heels in.....spotting 2nd and 3rd jan, nothing 4-6th jan and today spotting again only at cervix.....oh full flow just hurry up already....im soooooo bored!!!!!!!

Good luck Choccy hope it's implantation for you! smile

Sorry to those suffering with horrid af! And congrats to the new bfp's!

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 11:58:53

Oh and Ginger and LH!!!! Hateful bfn's for you both! So sorry that limbo continues, I'd be out of my mind!! Hugs to you both!

Nordicmom Tue 07-Jan-14 12:01:39

AF one day early so 27 d cycle this time . That makes next BFP / AF 1./2.2. Is there a feb bus yet?

mum2kiss Tue 07-Jan-14 12:09:57

no bus yet nordi but we are bfp buddies for feb ;)

Knottyknitter Tue 07-Jan-14 12:14:29

icy pretty much the same yes. I went for the pregnacare on the basis the tablets seemed slightly smaller and I struggle with capsules. (The idea of struggling with a big capsule and HG doesn't appeal).

Overall look for 400micrograms folate and no vitamin A, and you won't go far wrong. I eat a lot of fish so not bothered with the use caps of fish oil/omega 3 as I can get that in diet.

1974rach Tue 07-Jan-14 12:20:29

You are all invited to my pity party... still feeling like death warmed up. ended up in a&e last night and apparently I am not pregnant! stupid 12 yr old dr made me piac wandered of came back and said "well you're not pregnant"

Well....dr "too young to start shaving" what would you know? am only 5dpo! too early to tell obvs.

pah! pass me the jaffa cakes angry

Knottyknitter Tue 07-Jan-14 12:29:33

Oh rach do feel better soon. It doesn't sound like pregnancy symptoms though, as you say 5dpo is too early to get a positive test let alone be that poorly from it.

Paracetamol, fluids (hot lemon squash or Ribena for extra snuggly points) and leftover Christmas choccies eaten from under a duvet in front of the TV?

Treaclepie19 Tue 07-Jan-14 12:34:26

Hi everyone smile
Those in limbo I salute you, must be so hard sad
Fingers crossed for you!

Also feeling down today sad work is taking it out of me so didn't manage to dtd yesterday and got a solid smiley on opk today... Argh. Will definitely dtd today. Watch out DH :p

rockin20s Tue 07-Jan-14 12:37:31

12dpo and my IC are still showing a faint positive. I couldn't find any digital tests as I'm currently on honeymoon and all the pharmacy just have the usual ones.
Home in 3 days think ill buy a digi in the boots at London Heathrow!!!!

Question for Ye. I have been reading about the pregnancy vitamins you should take and they all say up your folic acid to 600mg. I have 7 of the 400 mg left before I get home. Don't want to buy the vits over here as the pack would not be in English. Shuld I take an extra tablet every other day (800mg today, 400mg tomorrow) to try to up the folic acid in the blood stream . I have nothing that I could use half the tablets

So, I wasn't going to test but please excuse me here
I HAVE A FECKING LINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very very very very early and very faint, not photographable at all.
I did a ov test and a hpt and faint line on the opk and even fainter on the hpt. Please let this be it!!!

Rocking I'd just stick with the one, there is only 400 in pregnacare

Knottyknitter Tue 07-Jan-14 12:45:25

Congrats choccy!!!

rockin 400 is fine if you are low risk (NHS advise 400) so pregnacare is fine.

If you are epileptic, diabetic, obese or on medication for arthritis see your doctor for 5mg tablets.

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 12:45:42

Eeeeeeeek choccy!!!!! Really hope this is it for you as well!!!!!!! What are you like?! You just can't resist poas!!!!! I know that feeling :/

Really really hope it's a sticky wee one for you! Praying for it to be smile

mum2kiss Tue 07-Jan-14 12:47:26

yay!! congrats choccy!

Thanks.
Just teared up as I just can't get my hopes up.
Dh was there when I'd just done it and he's not getting excited either.
Want to jump around the kitchen (we're having lunch) but just can't get attached.
I just hope because it's shown early that it'll get darker over the next few days which my other months it didn't.
Hoping with everything I have!

Also it wasn't obviously fmu and 9dpo so surely that's a good sign (hopeful face)

Rubyshoe Tue 07-Jan-14 12:59:06

Have everything crossed for you choccy! Really hope it's a lovely sticky bean x

Flukewoman Tue 07-Jan-14 12:59:33

sazzlehopes Tue 07-Jan-14 13:00:11

Oh choccy i so hope so for you.....have fx. xx

mum2kiss Tue 07-Jan-14 13:01:08

fx for you choccy! I too have suffered mc in the past and it makes it so hard to get excited when you are preggers again!

PunkyPod Tue 07-Jan-14 13:03:43

Choccy!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is it - i know this is your month!!!!!!!!!!!

rockin20s Tue 07-Jan-14 13:06:19

Oh wow choccy fingers crossed for you and all our little beans to stick

I've just shown dh and he can see the ov one and said he can barely see the other one but there's def something. So it's not just me smile

ImaginaryHat Tue 07-Jan-14 13:27:36

Oh choccy that's great. I can well imagine the mix of feelings you're having. Whilst obviously very much hoping for another bfp this month I think I will also feel very nervous too if I get it. Really hoping your line gets darker over the next few days xx

ImaginaryHat Tue 07-Jan-14 13:28:11

Thanks imaginary. Big luck to you too x

This'll make you smile, although a little embarrassing for me. So I just sneezed a felt a gush, my immediate thought was oh shit no! Anyway, just ran to the loo and no, it just appears that my pelvic floor needs some work shockshock

mama is it not possible that its implantation??

Oh Choccy that's lovely news!!

They say 3rd time lucky.....I'm keeping everything crossed for you that your line gets darker over the next few days and you have a super sticky bean xxx

Rockin.....I had a little chuckle at you away on your Honeymoon and still checking in in MN grin where are you? I'm so nosey grin

mum2kiss Tue 07-Jan-14 13:56:34

i was chuckling at rockin too! lol!

Choccy hope you have a good supply of loo roll! You've departed from poas and moved on to serial wiping! Really hoping this one is super sticky for you!

ImaginaryHat Tue 07-Jan-14 13:56:48

Oh dear, sorry about triple post before, my phone sometimes does random things like that!

Lol at pelvic floor choccy! Get those exercises going!

Yeah mama you normally have a few days of constant spotting leading to full af dont you. If this is different it could be implantation? Hope so!

barmybunting Tue 07-Jan-14 13:57:00

Congratulations to the new lines appearing, lovely new bfps for the new year!!

Choccy, brilliant news, I so so hope this is it for you. I have everything crossed for you!

Thanks the info on ovulation bleeding from an earlier question, I can't remember names to use, but thank you! Spotting has stopped now so I'll see if I get a second lot in a few days as previously, or just that yesterday as ov day I think. I hope it was anyway as the next few days will be useless for dtd. Our house is now packed onto the removal van, we leave tomorrow to drive down south. In the middle of it all today, I got a phone call asking me to an interview on Monday so I have been frantically trying to plan a lesson for that (I'm a teacher, observed lesson is part of the interview process) with all my teaching stuff out of reach in boxes. So I'm hoping by the end of Jan, it may be new year, new country, new house, new job and new bfp for DH and I. It's worth a go anyway! smile .

My sympathies are with those of you who find dh/dps don't seem to quite get the ttc process. Joining you there! I know how much dh wants a wee one, but he is just so much more patient than I am! That and his head is in the clouds as to timing which is probably a good thing!

Englishgirl sending you a hug and some Scottish sunshine your way today! It must be really hard being away from home with everything.

I thought implantation mama

mum2kiss Tue 07-Jan-14 14:00:50

where are you moving to barmy - sorry just being nosey too...600miles is really far!

Moffit Tue 07-Jan-14 14:01:19

Congratulations Choccy.......hope this month is the lucky one for you!!

barmybunting Tue 07-Jan-14 14:13:24

mumumkiss, we live in the very north of Scotland currently, so anywhere is from where we are smile ! We are just moving down south to the south east coast of England, but it feels like forever away to me as most of my family and friends in the UK are in Scotland. Hence my opinion it's a new country, England feels a world way from our very Scottish corner up here.

barmybunting Tue 07-Jan-14 14:14:05

mum2kiss sorry, not mummumkiss smile

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 14:16:08

Lol @ choccy!!!!! Never fail to make me giggle!!! Haha!

Choccy/imaginary/English.....oh how I always hope my spotting is implantation.....and it never is! :/ and the first 2 days of spottionly5/6dpo?! Far too early for ib!!!! Then started again today just watery brown only at cervix! So I'm expecting that it's af dragging in as per usual! And the 2 early days of spotting I'm clueless about, never happened before that early!

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 14:17:14

Sorry phone was playing up there! I'm just waiting it out for full flow now! Wish it would come and go.....sooooo bored!

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 14:18:20

But yes I am trying to kid myself that I could be pregnant, not gona lie.....even though I know im not....always living in hope :/

mum2kiss Tue 07-Jan-14 14:22:59

Well that is a big old move barmy !! Scotland is on my list of places I would like to visit ;) I've never been but have heard lots of good things! I hope the weather down south picks up a bit by the time you move!!!

ImaginaryHat Tue 07-Jan-14 14:41:54

You know the rule mama, no giving up hope til af proper arrives!

Barmy that's a mega move, must be quite daunting but totally exciting too!

Ok so I appear to have miised the big news, choccy.... just read back!! Congratu-friggin-lations!! Really hope this one is a sticky one for you! I can imagine how nervous you must be feeling... I know im desperate for another bfp but scared stiff of it not sticking. Keeping finger and toes crossed for you! And laughing at your pelvic floor issue! Getting contracting those muscles!!
Thanks barmy ... it can be hard, sometimes i just want a squeeze from my mum or my best mate! Good luck with your move, its probably the same distance as my move except ive got the north sea in the way! And good luck for your interview. smile

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 14:48:41

Imaginary I know the rule only too well ;) but that's what makes it so disapointing when af arrives! That false hope sad I'm trying so desperately just to accept that like usual it is af making its arrival then if I were to get a surprise bfp well then that would be just perfect ;) soooooo not gona happen though!

rockin20s Tue 07-Jan-14 15:05:56

Spinning and mum2kiss we are in Argentina but will be home on Friday
This is not official first bus although we have been very uncarefull the last few months so in my head this is cycle 4.

Just checked and I have 5 IC left so i think I will check each morning and hopefully watch the lines get darker

Lol thank you English, have everything crossed including my legs, dh is not allowed near me now!! wink

Mama really hope it is ib, 6 dpo is doable, mines only around cervix too. I don't know how long it was there as only had a feel last night smile

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 15:26:59

Note to self choccy.....leave cervix alone ;) lol

I will wink

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 15:34:24

I need to take my own advice :/ I just keep checking coz I'm expecting af any minute! This is officially the worst case of crotch watch!!!!

onelifeonechance Tue 07-Jan-14 15:59:32

Choccccccyyyyy, yeay! smile Keeping everything crossed for you.

Sazzle, have fun wink How have you found using your cbfm? Im limiting myself to 5 sticks per month or I'll be bankrupt at this rate! Soooo hoping for you, go jump your man!

Imaginary, you are so sweet in your messages to everyone, just thought id say so smile

And big bear hugs for Mama, hang in there thanks

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 16:12:25

Thanks Onelife!!! Love seeing your messages on here smile you are also just the sweetest ;)

I'm hanging in there, but I know af is coming!!! Hate waiting, I'm too impatient! If af is coming I want it here and gone by the wkend......unrealistic....VERY!!!!

LH1981 Tue 07-Jan-14 16:13:14

Oh Mama, fingers crossed for you!! Mother Nature can be a b@*ch!!

Another BFN to follow this mornings FR, this time on a Superdrug.
I'm trying to look at it as if this is a new cycle rather than the world's longest cycle ever! Which would put me at cd21. With an average 37 day cycle that means I could be ovulating any time from yesterday to Sunday (using the theory that ovulation is anything from 12-16 days before AF)

So kind of in the new 2ww??! AF/BFP due 23rd Jan.

Choccy - !!!!! Eeek! Good luck getting a clearer line tomorrow morning! x

onelifeonechance Tue 07-Jan-14 16:20:52

Ha, yeah, that would be nice wouldn't it if we could 'book' our af for a convenient time ( if she has to come at all that is!) Would def love to book ovulation for over a weekend rather than trying to squeeze in dtd when we're both pooped from work!!

Sooooooooo hoping she leaves you alone, but if you know she's coming then please put Mama out of her limboland oh af fairy lady, please smile

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 16:27:32

LH I can't even imagine how frustrated you must be! I'm only on cd24 and pulling my hair out!!!! Love that your starting a new cycle for yourself though ;) have you did an opk???

Onelife so lovely as always....yes let's hope af fairy listens to your wise words....i always do ;)

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 16:34:10

And yes wkend dtd is much better ;) and DH is off all this wkend so it would suit nicely for af not to arrive or to come and go by Sat!!!! Why am I always so unrealistic?! Must stop this!!! :/

1974rach Tue 07-Jan-14 16:56:12

grin grin grin grin grin
Choccy that's brilliant!
fx for you xxxxx

ImaginaryHat Tue 07-Jan-14 16:57:13

Aw onelife you're the sweet one! To be honest everyone here is unbelievably supportive, you ladies are my ttc lifeline!

LH that's a good way of looking at it, plus you get to have 'shag week' again!

Right, off on date night with dh to the cinema. Just had a healthy tea so we can stuff our faces with popcorn! Have a good evening ladies.

Honeybear30 Tue 07-Jan-14 17:03:00

knittyknotter thanks for info re vitamins, that was really helpful.

choccy a faint bfp yay!!! You must be so excited. Fx for super sticky bean.

mama I literally lol at 'crotch watch'. I haven't yet gone down this route because I know once I start it will be hard to stop!

Mama I've just bought 3 pairs of white knickers for crotch watch gringrin

Also 2 superdrug tests, might do one tomorrow.

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 17:43:47

Hahaha! White knickers!!!! Nice!!! ;)

Honeybear do not start.....you will not be able to stop....keep the restraint where you have it....you don't want to end up like me :/

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 17:44:10

Imaginary enjoy your date lovely! smile

Kittyrose1 Tue 07-Jan-14 17:51:29

Choccy that is wonderful news! Big smile here on reading that, everything crossed for you! So congrats to fairy who has had a bfp since i was last online. Wowsers this bus is really getting going now. I'm due AF from Thursday this week to next Friday, I'm fighting back the urge to poas. I have some ic here.
Lol at crotch watch! Why is it bad to check though choccy? Was it your mum who said that?
Petit I hope oh is in a better mood today and that you are feeling better.
LH And finger I really hope you get answers soon, being in limbo this long must be horrid - fx for you both
Enjoy date night imaginary smile dh and I need to get back into that ourselves, went by the way side when we were saving for our wedding!

Kittyrose1 Tue 07-Jan-14 17:52:39

Ginger not finger, sorry love

Kitty apparently you can potentially irritate your cervix. When drs check it for anything, they never touch it, the just open you up so to speak, so she told me by any means to not touch it esp during bleeding after a bfp

lucyfluff Tue 07-Jan-14 18:00:10

Hey girlies, just read back a bit!! <waves to mama and onelife>

Massive congrats choccy grin again!!! you must be super fertile missy!!! Ive got everything crossed for you x

Hope everyone else is ok grin grin

Kittyrose1 Tue 07-Jan-14 18:01:01

Oh right, makes sense then really. I guess that's why some women don't dtd after ov time so not to irritate it further? ! Sometimes in certain positions dh can get really deep at hits the cervix (sorry tmi) which I expect is an irritant? Excuse me and my nativity blush

LaceyLee Tue 07-Jan-14 18:04:12

Choccy that's great news! You are clearly very fertile! Really hope it's 3rd time lucky for you, sure it will be.

So in other news, I appear to have a bfp!!! Not sure what on earth is happening, since I had a very heavy period starting on 28th, so only 11 days ago. FF hasn't even detected ovulation but since I had a 5th day of really strong (getting stronger) opks, I thought, after googling, it was worth a try. Has anyone any ideas what is happening? I'm trying not to be excited as I don't really know how it's possible?! smile

Congratulations Choccy! Great news. Got everything crossed for you!

Can anyone give me any advice on opks. I've not used them before as ds1 was a happy accident and this is our first time ttc. I was thinking of giving them a try if we don't get lucky this cycle. Which would you experts recommend?

Kittyrose1 Tue 07-Jan-14 18:29:07

Wow Lacey great news! Which of test did you use?

KikiThePea Tue 07-Jan-14 18:36:40

Hi everyone! Hope I'm not barging in.

Congratulations to everyone who has had a BFP so far. Hopefully many more to come over the next couple of weeks! Currently ttc#1 and only on our first cycle. I've had a 27 day cycle every month for nearly seven years, so I'm hoping it stays that way (or not, as the case may be?) and I find out what's going on next week.

DH thinks I'm stockpiling tests. He might be right...

LaceyLee Tue 07-Jan-14 18:37:08

Was just ic's for both the ov tests and hpts. Still don't know what's happening, my last AF was so heavy it was almost like an mc so even thinking it could be the remnants of that but obviously really hoping not!

Cybercat Tue 07-Jan-14 18:40:34

Im struggling to keep up with all these posts!

Lacey thank you and massive congrats to you too!!!! You can have quite heavy bleeding for implantation apparently (again, found out during one of my dr google consultations).
Speak to your dr about it though smile

Thank you Lucy mwah xxx

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 19:07:50

Waves at Lucyfluff!!! smile hope your having a nice healthy pregnancy my love x

Well I can't stop eating chocolate so af must be on the way soon coz I'm not usually much of a choc fan!

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 19:08:45

Congrats lacy! Yes best get checked out but hopefully a nice surprise bfp for you smile

htbftm Tue 07-Jan-14 19:09:05

Yay, congrats Chocky and thanks for the advice LH! Me too Cybercat!XX

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 19:11:27

Poly I think the cheap Internet opks are fine! They work for me and not costly at all! I have backed them up with clearblue tests a couple of months but they always match up with the cheap ones and haven't actually opkd the last 2 cycles as kind of know now how my body works and we dtd a lot anyway!

barmybunting Tue 07-Jan-14 19:17:06

mum2kiss Scotland is well worth a visit should you get the chance. I am not from the UK, moved here about 14 years ago, but Scotland is one of my favourite places on earth and I now consider it home despite how different it is from where I grew up, it sticks with you and you will want to come back! I really don't want to leave, partially because I really wanted our children to be born here (my parents are Scottish but I was born in Africa when they lived there). But so much of England is just beautiful too and it's a chance to explore more I think smile !

Thank you English.

sazzlehopes Tue 07-Jan-14 19:21:09

Onelife - thanks for the message! Yes will have to be mid week dtd which is not easy with work life but hey ho! Didn't dtd last night, so going to try for 3 days solid if we can! Ok with my cbfm, yes trying to limit sticks also, but finding it ok. I think if no more luck after 3 more months i may sell it and stick to ic instead to save me money!

To those seeking other methods to help long term ttc...I had reflexology today and really enjoyed it. It hurt a little and now have major ov pain...also coincided with my peak on my cbfm so feeling quite positive about the whole thing. Not finding the venos doing much...maybe i'm not taking enough? (10ml twice a day?) or maybe i'm just dry as up there! Sorry for the tmi!

MissingBun Tue 07-Jan-14 19:24:38

Congratulations choccy and lacey super exciting news!! grin also FX for you mama really hope its implantation and it's your month grin

Barmy.....good luck with the move. I'm way down south and never got as far as Scotland but its somewhere I would love to visit!

Congratulations Lacey, I would see a doctor because of the heavy bleeding/af but if the lines been getting stronger it sounds good! grin

Thanks mama. I think I might hope on amazon and have a look now. Probably won't tell DH about it and just pounce on him when the time is right! He does tend to complain about having too much pressure put on him and this is only cycle #1.

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 19:34:34

Thanks missingbun but I am 100% certain af is right around the corner, stuffing my face with chocs....which never happens unless af is due!

Sazzle reflexology sounds good! Is it costly, what do they do?? Hope it works for you smile

Moffit Tue 07-Jan-14 19:35:01

Congratulations Lacey!!

Kittyrose1 Tue 07-Jan-14 19:40:40

sazzle did you have a reflexology treatment specifically for conception?

sazzlehopes Tue 07-Jan-14 19:53:05

Mama and Kitty - yes specifically for fertility issues. After this long ttc thought it worth a shot.
Not cheap mama - £40 a 45 minute session...they work on your feet on specific points to help with 'problems'. It is not for everyone, as some see it as hippy nonsense, but I've heard good things and it was relaxing in parts - a nice foot massage until she came to work on the bit that was my ovaries when it hurt! I will let you know what happens. Giving it a go for at least 3 months and will go from there!

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 19:56:00

Oooooh I'm intrigued saz!! Tempted to try it! I have also read good things about it! So it can't just be a reflexologist, you have to specifically find a therapist who does it in relation to fertility?? Def considering this!

sazzlehopes Tue 07-Jan-14 19:59:21

Not sure mama, mine is just a reflexologist that happens to specialise in fertility...but i'm sure most reflexologists would be able to help - i guess it is just about getting to know you, making you relax and working on a specific area of your foot? I just googled in my area and a couple came up.

onelifeonechance Tue 07-Jan-14 20:00:04

<waves at Lucy> Hope you're feeling ok my dear, any symptoms??

Sazzle, sounds a good plan selling it on, you're what my nan would call a canny lass wink Mine sometimes misses my highs&goes straight to peak, but so far have always peaked, although not been using it consistently as think i'm fairly regular in the ov dpt (so WHY am I atill waiting I ask myself?! Daily.... Lol) We've just done a sneaky after wrk dtd,, but now ravenous&can't cook my risotto fast enough!!! Good luck to you, wish we could all have ttc leave, would make it whole heap
easier!

Mama, loving the abandonment of opks, we will not be ruled by a stick... unless of course it has a big fat positive preggers line!

onelifeonechance Tue 07-Jan-14 20:03:27

Im also keen for the reflexology bandwagon, keep us posted Saz!

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 20:08:15

Oooooh onelife get you and your sneaky dtd!!! ;) I'm sure your starving now!!!! Lol

I'm a rebel, def won't be ruled by a stick.....wish I could feel that way about preg test sticks....cant stop peeing on them but happy to ignore the opks!!!! what is wrong with me?!! Lol

Going to look in to reflexology for next month for sure ;) hoping saz gets preggers this month.....if so I'll be rocking up to the reflexologist pretty promptly ;)

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 20:10:53

Can I just say....feels like I'm surrounded with great support today having chatted to onelife, lucyfluff, choccy, sazzle, spinning, LH today!!! Has been a while since us lot had a good ole chin wag! smile

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 20:11:48

Onelife I wish we could go together for reflexology sesh! Then we could chat! Hahaha!!

jilljill2891 Tue 07-Jan-14 20:23:29

Wow it's only been a few days since I was here and there's loads of posts!

Choccywoccydoodah - I'm cycle 8 ttc #1!

Ok so had a BFN on Friday, AF still made no appearance so am now getting towards a good week and a half late. Had cramps and bloating today feeling like period was coming but still nothing, same as when she was actually due!

Why else would AF not make an appearance? Pre pill I was regular as clockwork now 8 months after pill I had a couple of regular cycles now this! I'm going stir crazy!!

KittyVonCatsington Tue 07-Jan-14 20:30:08

Bah! Why do I feel so frustrated just waiting for a positive OPK???!! While everyone seems to be pregnancy symptom spotting - I am ovulation symptom spotting. On CD15 and my tummy is rock hard (only way to describe it) and had dizzy spells yesterday and day before but still no positive OPK. I thought the line was a little darker but it could be my mind going mad. How do you all cope with this grin

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 20:31:16

Awh Jill so annoying for you!!! I'm not even late yet and I'm going crazy!!!

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 20:32:18

Kitty trust me, ovulation stage is the fun part! Once you hit the 2ww it's all downhill..... :/

KittyVonCatsington Tue 07-Jan-14 20:32:42

jilljill, I could be wrong but no AF is still a positive sign at the mo-I share your frustration smile

PetiteChouette Tue 07-Jan-14 20:36:30

Evening everyone! Big waves. I've had a lovely day out of the the office for a girlie shop in the sales. Much nicer than yesterday. grin And yup! I'm gonna be getting messy this evening and all week til I leave for business and then DP will have to come back and tidy! grin

But I've come back from my day out to a gizillon messages on the thread and trying to catch up.

EEEeeeek Choccy and Lacey! Congratulations!

Ok so I went on Amazon to check out the opks and have ended up purchasing pg tests! God help me, I'm becoming obsessed! Only on cd19 and I've spent all day symptom spotting!

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 20:39:21

Petite glad you had a nice day! Well deserved smile

Poly....uh oh...you have caught the amazon bug!!!! Soon you will purchase anything and everything pregnancy related :/

RetroHippy Tue 07-Jan-14 20:40:28

Kitty, I'm on CD 16 and according to the internet cheapy OPKs still nada.

Just DTD anyway, DH has no idea about cycles etc and I've no intention of telling him wink got to keep practising!

Last cycle was 50 days, so I'm just hoping to chance it, or that the OPKs have got it wrong.

Anyone who is using them, if we DTD e.g. Yesterday, then the strips say I ovulate e.g. Tomorrow, is that good timing? I'm confused. It seems that if you DTD on the exact day of ovulation you might already be too late? It's best to have some sperm 'lurking' ready?!

PetiteChouette Tue 07-Jan-14 20:41:21

Ooh and in other news, no AF as yet, but I have the weird pulling cramps which made me panic all day that it had started (knicker checking galore)...but nothing as yet. I know it's dumb, but I firmly believe you're not out, til you're out. grin

P.S. yesterday was meant to be the most depressing day of the year...I read it in a few places and thought - pah, what nonsense...then I realised how miserable I was yesterday. Ttoday, I'm bright as anything. (altho I think that's down to DP buggering off and not annoying me and having a lovely day out away from work)

ImaginaryHat Tue 07-Jan-14 20:42:32

Hey, just back from date night (early film!) and not read back all tonights posts yet but Lacey I just saw yours.

I hope I'm not being insensitive saying what I'm about to and I obviously hope I'm wrong, but what you have described is exactly what happened to me on the November bus when I had my first chemical pregnancy. I had a very heavy period at the end of October. As soon as it finished I started using the ic opks as I always do and to my surprise i got a dark line straight away. Didnt think anything of it as I'd just had my 'period' so I just thought I was ovulating really early so we just cracked on with dtd. After 4 days it was still really really dark and I'd felt ill that morning so I just took an ic preg test and it was positive. I'd already had the mc but the hormone was pretty strong and still there.

Obviously as choccy said there are people who have heavy implantation bleeds and I really hope that's the case with you, but I'd go and see your gp asap and get a blood test.

Sorry if that all seems a bit doom and gloom, I'm honestly not trying to put a downer on your bfp, but what you described was so similar to my experience that I just wanted to let you know its a possibility. I really hope you have better luck than I did and you have yourself a sticky bean. Good luck flowers

RetroHippy Tue 07-Jan-14 20:42:44

In a weeks time I will probably just start alternating which sticks I pee on grin

The dangers of Amazon buying indeed mama!

I am feeling that particular slipper slope beneath my feet Mama!

I'm so bloated today, if I'm not..... I may need to start a diet!

KittyVonCatsington Tue 07-Jan-14 20:47:02

mama31-I think my DH certainly thinks it is fun at the moment! wink

RetroHippy-glad I'm not the only one! Have decided to do the SMEP plan this month after last month wasn't successful and following its steps so currently SWI every other day anyway. Just suddenly scared in case I don't actually ovulate. Irrational I know!

Kittyrose1 Tue 07-Jan-14 20:47:22

Thanks sazzle sounds good, I'm into complimentary therapies etc so may be something to consider. Always live a foot massage if nothing else!

Kittyvon I didn't get much luck with the OPKs either and no symptoms sad not like some ladies get, only increased watery/creamy cm. Frustrating isn't it. We just dtd most nights, but there is always a little worry that do I actually ovulate if I can't seem to her specific symptoms!!

KittyVonCatsington Tue 07-Jan-14 20:48:16

Oh, and I am using the Boots own brand OPK sticks currently and worried they are not as ClearBlue. Oh well, more Christmas chocolate for me methinks...

jilljill2891 Tue 07-Jan-14 20:53:27

Hmmm I will go crazier until AF arrives or I get a BFP!

Since the BFN I been on amazon buying pregnancy tests, ovulation tests and a thermometer hehe! smile

KittyVonCatsington Tue 07-Jan-14 20:56:44

Sorry if this is too much information, but it has occurred to me that I am rubbish at peeing on a stick, as well. I seem to be very messy, so to speak and struggle to aim well. What's the secret??!!

PetiteChouette Tue 07-Jan-14 20:59:42

For HPTs...I@ve run out and have told DP I'm just gonna get FR ones from now on. I had 20 (whatever the hormone is) sensitive ones and I don't think they are sensitive enough for our tyoe of early testing...eeek.

Anyone with good suggestions for cheapies, gratefully received

RetroHippy Tue 07-Jan-14 21:00:12

Erm, TMI, but I'm not sure about CM if we've been SWI... As there's #ahem# already a little moisture in the area blush

God, this baby manufacture is certainly romantic!

ImaginaryHat Tue 07-Jan-14 21:00:27

Kitty, pee in a container of your choosing and dip the test in. I can't poas for toffee!!

We should start an Amazon fertility product addiction support group!

PetiteChouette Tue 07-Jan-14 21:00:32

Kitty, for my OPKs I've been PIAC, rather than POAS. I think this is the way to non-mess

RetroHippy Tue 07-Jan-14 21:01:40

Kitty, someone will beat me to this, but pee in a cup! I've got an old Doritos dip jar I use grin nice wide neck and I still manage to pee on my fingers

LH1981 Tue 07-Jan-14 21:02:25

Anyone heard from ginger? Hope she's doing ok.
How's crotch watch going Mama? Got everything crossed for you.

I'm enjoying a very large glass of rose...I have a new plan lol! I remembered I found out about both my previous pregnancies after having been out and gotten rather merry hammered
Hey, it's a plan! xx

In my last pregnancy I had to do almost weekly samples for my diabetes and they gave me a sample bottle with a funnel. Genius bit of kit. Don't forget to sterilise your p-pots!

LH1981 Tue 07-Jan-14 21:06:55

Oh, and mama, know what you mean - it's nice to have familiar 'faces' around, especially when having a down day!

And someone asked me about opk'ing (sorry lost the post) - haven't tried it yet. Scared it will be yet another thing to obsess about!
Would you ladies recommend it? There seems to be a lot of confusion surrounding it from reading your posts? xx

KittyVonCatsington Tue 07-Jan-14 21:07:11

You guys are fab! Plastic cup it is grin

KittyVonCatsington Tue 07-Jan-14 21:11:41

Hi LH1981 ( BTW also my year of birth!) I decided to start using OPKs this month as I heard lots of anecdotes from people in RL who had used them and been successful quickly, even after months of BFN before trying. Can't recommend them myself yet until a full month has passed, but they are giving me a focus (and practise for poas for BFPswink)

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 21:21:15

LH crotch watch is taking over my life....been to the loo about ten times tonight!!! not to pee....just to check!!! :/ no spotting tonight!! hmmmm.....stupid body playing tricks on me again! :/

I have however ate my own body weight in chocolate and feel rather sick now sad I'm not really a choc fan but sometimes get choc cravings right before af.....so it's coming....witch!!!

onelifeonechance Tue 07-Jan-14 21:27:51

Well ive stuffed my face with my rissotto and burnt my tongue as was too hungry to let it cool hmm

Mama I would SO love to go to joint reflexology sessions!!! That would be ace! We could sit gassing in our white fluffy robes grin

onelifeonechance Tue 07-Jan-14 21:32:23

Sorry bout the choccy cravings Mama sad What did you go for? Hope it was something worthy. I am currently in love with those red lindor balls, mmmm nom nom.

Well I must say it is nice to be back, I've missed my pals smile

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 21:37:43

Well.....i started off with a crunchie.....then ate a few chocs out of milk tray box.....and then I ate a cadbury caramel.....seriously no need for that! I feel Boke now!!! :/ yes the lindor balls are totally addictive!!!

Very unusual for me to have choc cravings I'm a savoury person but have had choc cravings a few times right before af arrives....boooooooo!!!!!

I know imagine us gossiping in our robes....would prob drive the reflexologist to distraction!!!!! hahaha!

Yes it's good to have all the buddies back together for a chat!!! smile lovely to see smile

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 21:38:07

What type of risotto did you make??? I hope you had some red wine with it?!!!!

Gingerpanther27 Tue 07-Jan-14 21:44:31

lh I is here. Also knicker watching. Wondering what next week shall bring in store as next supposed af is due and I start college again, also when im supposedly going to get my blood tests. hmm getting bladdered sociable then finally getting an answer sounds like a good plan wink barmy how north are you, I'm also quite far up, originally from England to.

onelifeonechance Tue 07-Jan-14 21:44:52

Respect Mama, excllent choccy consumption!

Sorry you're having it though if you think it's af linked, big boo to that.

We had bacon, leek&mushroom rissotto, white wine in it but not in a glass by the side as still trying to be healthy (which will only last until its Fri im sure!!)

missmrsmummy Tue 07-Jan-14 21:52:01

kitty I'm on ovulation watch too! Cycle all messed up so no idea when it'll be. We are DTD every other day now just in case!

I'm also rubbish at poas! Need to get myself a cup!

retro I have the same problem! Can't tell the diff between ewcm and the cm I get when I'm 'keen' to DTD!

mum2kiss Tue 07-Jan-14 21:55:08

whats SWI and SMEP?

RetroHippy Tue 07-Jan-14 21:58:49

I am getting closer to ovulation!!!

I did not want to be that woman, but I am sad I know exactly what you mean LH, I am addicted to peeing in dip jars grin. Thing is, I obsess anyway, at least this way I'm obsessing about something I can focus on, not just making crap up. So glad I can come on here and not feel like a lonely crazy lady. I have a friend who is pg and she knows nothing shock she is evidently a lot more sane than me.

Just fished the last two days OPKs out of the bin to compare and the line is definitely getting darker! So my twice daily peeing has paid off wink. It's still not darker than the control, but as we're in the right time of the month, I shall keep on pestering seducing DH!

ImaginaryHat Tue 07-Jan-14 22:00:31

Risotto sounds lovely onelife!

I just dipped my opk in my piac from before the cinema (didnt have time before we went out) and its almost positive. Reckon it will be as dark as control tomorrow, which means I'm gonna bloody ovulate when I'm away with work on Thursday aren't I? So annoying.

Oh well, we've dtd today, will have to do it again tomorrow and then as soon as I'm home friday night and hope for the best I think.

LH1981 Tue 07-Jan-14 22:07:34

Ah, there you are Ginger, my limbo buddy!

Mama, that is some seriously good work woman! I've eaten 4 big choc biccies and thought that was good going, I'm going to have to step it up!! wink...hopefully it's just that old wives tale and you're upduffed with a girl and not the witch (here's hoping)!

Kitty - what month??

RetroHippy Tue 07-Jan-14 22:08:11

I did risotto tonight too! Found a Parsnip and some sort of fish risotto on A Girl Called Jack. Switched the fish to bacon so DH would eat if and it turns out he doesn't like parsnip! Except he does, but only in small amounts with a roast hmm

So I ate his grin

No wine though, dry Jan here (and hoping for a dry Feb, March etc too wink)

KittyVonCatsington Tue 07-Jan-14 22:20:02

Good question, mum2kiss! Check out the SMEP Plan here and SWI is shagging with intent smile

KittyVonCatsington Tue 07-Jan-14 22:23:23

LH1981 28th January grin

mum2kiss Tue 07-Jan-14 22:29:23

thanks kitty

SMEP - Wow!!! I can't imagine i could ever be organised enough to carry out that type of military operation!

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 22:30:11

Onelife risotto sounds yum! smile

LH really? Is that an old wives tale.....oh don't tell me that!!! if that were true I'd be ecstatic!!!!!!!! Ok calm down.....af is coming.....relax again mama :/

KittyVonCatsington Tue 07-Jan-14 22:33:59

I was one of those geeks at school... grin

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 22:34:28

Oh spoke too soon, the witch is on her way, checked cp and brown spotting is now watery but red....fresh red sad I knew it anyway and kindof accepted it first day of spotting!! Full flow will come in the morning!

That's me to the very back of the bus of pos front of the next bus! Hard to tell but bfp prob be due around 30th-2nd! Will stay here with my buddies though smile thanks for the support ladies smile hmmm....now off to find reflexology in my area......

missmrsmummy Tue 07-Jan-14 22:36:40

Just checked out the smep and I'm already doing it to the letter! Is that a good thing or too obsessive?! I'm only on cycle #2! How many people has this worked for?

Today I am bloated and have acne. Are they signs of ovulation or am I just fat and spotty (too much prosecco and chocolate!)?

mama31 Tue 07-Jan-14 22:41:44

Cycle 8 and staying positive!!!!!!!! smile

KittyVonCatsington Tue 07-Jan-14 22:42:28

Big hugs mama31, I'm so sorry. Rotten luck thanks

I'm trying it too missmrsmummy and on cycle #2. It was recommended to me back in November right here on Mumsnet. Hope it works.

KittyVonCatsington Tue 07-Jan-14 22:44:14

I'm bloated too-tummy is rock hard. Bloody hope it's a sign of ovulating...

missmrsmummy Tue 07-Jan-14 22:52:33

Hope so kitty also have migraine and cramps. I'm having a right sulk as I feel crappy but hoping I'll get a smiley face on my OPK to cheer me up in the morn! Hope you do too!

Jessica78 Tue 07-Jan-14 23:04:00

Congrats to the BFPs! The 2ww is doing my head in - especially now we are back at work! Xxx

Oh no Mama. So sorry. Stay positive x x

Oh mama, that sucks! What a fricking bitch the witch is!!
Look in to acupuncture too, I've heard soooo many good things about it. That's my plan if I get to cycle 6...

Ladies asking about SMEP, I did it last month... To the letter pretty much (added in one extra DTD because DH is a horny bugger) and got a bfp, sadly didn't stick so i'm doing it again now. On cd8 (started eod on cd6)

missmrsmummy Wed 08-Jan-14 07:07:19

Sorry to hear that English but it's encouraging that smep worked for you; hope it works again soon!

Morning all grin

Onelife it's good to see you back grin

Mama.....sorry af arrived thanks I second what someone else said about checking out acupuncture. I read up about it and it seems to have great results when ttc! Although reflexology sounds more relaxinggrin

Do we have anyone poas this morning?grin

wondercat07 Wed 08-Jan-14 07:34:47

So sorry mama! Hope next cycle is yours!

I just poas and BFP!!!
Yay!!
Dh says 'be level headed'
Yayy!!
We been trying since oct 2012, hope this baby sticks around

Woohoo Wondercat....Congratulationsgringrin

So exciting especially after waiting so long!

Wonder how many dpo are you, I'm noseygrin

Oh and the honeymoon in Argentina that sounds lovely! Enjoy your last few days and the sunshinegrin sorry can't remember username!!

sazzlehopes Wed 08-Jan-14 07:57:54

Mama so sorry about af showing up. But it has been nice for the old timers to have a good old chat again. I like it when we can all get together despite not all getting our bfps! Do check out reflexology and acupuncture too....I chose reflexology because I'm not wild on needles although I do know you can't feel them and they are different but still it was my choice. If you or anyone wants to ask me question feel free to message my inbox, happy to chat!

Wonder!!! Congrats - I love hearing a bfp story after so long of trying, gives me hope! Hooray!!!

Congratulations Wondercat! Lovely news to wake up too!! grin

sazzlehopes Wed 08-Jan-14 08:02:06

Onelife my cbfm does pick up the highs and the peak every month but I too appear to be pretty regular although this month I go a peak on CD 12 instead of my normal day 16 which surprised me a bit! But I like the sound of your nan! grin

Mama nooooo!! FFS!!!!

Sazzle old timers gringrin

Wonder congratulations!!!!!!

We'll have done another test and IC still a barely there line so cracked open a superdrug and stark white sad
Will test again Friday/Saturday now when I was originally going to test.

*well

JustMarriedBecca Wed 08-Jan-14 08:07:46

Congratulations Wondercat.

Great news. Also interested to know how many days DPO you are so I can convince myself would be completely normal to test tomorrow and not wait until next week

barmybunting Wed 08-Jan-14 08:11:44

Morning everyone! Moving day and my answer is to avoid everything, hide in a room with my lovely cat and check on bfp updates smile . My phone now treats bfp as a predictive text word, heralding my bus ticket!

wonder congratulations! How are you feeling?

ginger we are on the coast, I can see the sea from our lounge window. Go as far up as you can on the north east coast and we are there. I don't know if that makes any sense but I don't want to say exactly where if that's ok. Are you further up the west coast?

Choccy....how many dpo are you? It's probably too early to see a line on the superdrug test! You know how they all vary, keeping fingers crossed for yougrin

onelifeonechance Wed 08-Jan-14 08:14:17

Aw Mama no, so sorry. Passes mama extra fluffy blanket and props those pillows. Lucky cycle 8 this is what this is.

She was a good 'un Sazzle smile

Thanks Spinning, good to see you too, hope you're diddling ok.

Choccy, how many dpo are you?

onelifeonechance Wed 08-Jan-14 08:16:42

Ha! Good question spinning, my thoughts exactly wink

How did I forget a huge congrats to Wondercat! Fab news!

Happy moving Barmy, it it officially allowed to consume your own weight in biscuits on moving days, its the law

Last night i had the most vivd dream that i was pregnant and quite far along. So disappointing waking up knowing that I'm not! Stupid brain playing cruel tricks!

wondercat07 Wed 08-Jan-14 08:26:01

I'm 16 dpo, I think anyway, as I don't use opks. Wanted to test yesterday but dh said no. Very faint possible line on 14dpo. All these are sensitivity of 20 though.
Am very very excited, but it's early days I know. No real symptoms atm but have had a couple of episodes of lightheadedness and nausea in the last week.

Nordicmom Wed 08-Jan-14 08:39:16

Can I ask you guys how many of you have used SMEP and how many have succeeded?! Had a look and am considering it but it looks exhausting with 2 dc and the level of tired am feeling . Literally don't know if we could manage to stick to it every month .

Nordicmom Wed 08-Jan-14 08:40:55

I think even DH would find it too much . He's always busy and tired too

Nordicmom Wed 08-Jan-14 08:43:15

Damn my problem used to be the misscarriages not conceiving but now I can't even get that far and if I ever will I'm still convinced I'll just loose it
sad

Morning all!

Congratulations Wonder and good luck Barmy. Sounds like it's going to be a busy day.

I'm looking after my friends 9mth old today and have already had a tearful moment (he's only been here half an hour!) could this be my hormones? I hope so!

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 08:58:01

Thanks ladies! I'm surprisingly ok! No tears?!! But I just knew so accepted it already!

Feeling good about cycle 8 though, going to cut down on alcohol (not cut out, but down lol), I am a bit of a coffee addict so will limit that to 1-2 cups per day (trust me that's good for me), have started pregnacare vits, taking berocca (just coz it makes me feel good) and oil of evening primrose tabs (up until ovulation only, good for ewcm and hormone balance

Also having a very chilled January with a nice luxury break planned early Feb! And only one girls night out planned at very end of Jan so will def be cutting down the alcohol, getting fit and healthy again to lose those Christmas lbs and will be channelling all my positive energy in to bfp's for the

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 09:00:31

(stupid phone!) as I was saying I will be channelling all my positive energy towards the "old timers" (Sazzle, Jan 2014) getting their long awaited bfp's!!!!! And when that happens it's gona be immense!!!!!! smile

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 09:03:38

Also big congrats to Wonder!!!! Yay!!!!!! Amazing news! Very happy for you!

Choccy hang in there love, could be too early and I also hate, hate, hate those IC tests! I know you always get quite a reliable result from them but I swear I see a line on them every time, and it has never been a bfp!! But I'm sure yours is Mrs super fertile lady ;) but please wait til the wkend, leave your cervix alone ;) (says me?!!) and test with another superdrug then! Good luck we are all rooting for you so much! X

Right old timers!!! Don't be going awol again! I've missed you all! We need to keep up the positivity and focus on our goal together! smile

1974rach Wed 08-Jan-14 09:15:21

Cybercat Wed 08-Jan-14 10:04:40

So..........

BFP this morning! Not as strong a line as Id hoped but there is no doubt that it is there. Fingers crossed this one sticks and its third time lucky for me.

Congrats to the other ladies with BFPs and good luck to those who are waiting. I may not be able to keep up with posting but these threads keep me sane!

Congrats Gemz and Cybercat!! More BFPs!! This bus is really getting going now!! grin

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 10:11:29

Happy New Year everyone

Nordicmom Wed 08-Jan-14 10:20:40

Congrats on BFPs

I'm ok Mama, trying to be positive and keep busy. Coming on here and venting every now and then helps. Everyone is so nice and supportive. I love seeing all the bfps roll in, makes the dream seem a little more reachable.
Has the witch reached full flow for you now? I think focusing on making positive improvements to our lives is definitely the way forward. I'm concentrating on improving my fitness in a hope that when i do get my bfp my body is in the best shape possible. Hoping you get your longed for sticky bean soon. Sending you positive vibes! x

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 10:39:05

Thanks English! Hoping for you also! smile not full flow but it's coming, lots at cervix (must stop checking!!) wish it would just hurry up and flow!

Happy New Year Keepswimming! How are you doing??

Tigsy Wed 08-Jan-14 11:06:59

Ah lots more BFPS rolling in- congratulations ladies! Fx for Choccy too.
I've officially gone crazy on my first cycle and been poas repeatedly even though I'm still not due AF for 5 days. I'm sure the novelty will wear off next month. Trying to focus on all the positive points there would be for not getting pregnant this month, as I know I'm going to be disappointed when AF arrives- I know it's silly on the first cycle, but it's just because we've had such a horrendously bad couple of months, I feel like we really need some good news.
Hoping to see the BFPs keep rolling in.

PetiteChouette Wed 08-Jan-14 11:12:02

Congrats to all the BFPs this morning. I hope they're all sticky beans.

I'm definitely out for this month...AF is just getting going. So it's the Feb bus for me. Fortunately, Me and DP managed to shift a few things about, so this next cycle is a go afterall. In the meantime, I hope it's okay for me to lurk about here til the next bus gets going, so I can watch all the lovely BFPs roll in. Good luck everyone!

PetiteChouette TTC1 Cycle 3 BFP due 6/7th Feb

gemzyb1 Wed 08-Jan-14 11:29:30

I'm keeping fingers crossed for a sticky bean. I think I'm about 6weeks. Got terrible belly ache though so I'm waiting to go into docs now. Worried either ectopic or mc. Fx not though. I'm so shocked, went to gp on day ten of late af and she didn't test me, told me I was being silly for worrying that af hasn't arrived yet as i had already done 3tests all bfn. Had one first response left and did it this morning, bfp!!! Super exciting. Fx for everyone else. Xxx

HollyBen Wed 08-Jan-14 11:34:06

Glad you are feeling ok about it mama Hope the relaxed approach leads to a bfp for you soon. I thinl this ttc sends us all a bit crazy wink

Congrats gemz and cyber fx for a third time sticky bean.

MrsKoala Wed 08-Jan-14 12:11:31

Hi All, Sorry i haven;t been engaging much just had a nightmare - recently moved in everything broken, on phone to companies complaining all day, away for xmas etc.

But just wanted to say congratulations to all the BFP and commiserations to all those that didn't get one this month. I remember last time it took us 8 months and every month i was heartbroken.

Anyway, by some mad stroke of fortune, thru the chaos and only shagging 3 times in the last month i got a BFP today ! Hurrah!

Good luck everyone. smile

Congratulations MrsKoala and all the other BFPs today, think we'll need a stats update soon! Really happy for you all.
Mama you crack me up with your cervix prodding I'm not even completely sure where mine is! How's the chocolate intake today?
Cd28 and ff still hasn't detected ovulation sad hopefully it was over Xmas when I forgot to temp/chart. Bfn yesterday, but not too worried as no AF yet.

Zara1984 Wed 08-Jan-14 12:44:55

Congrats to all the BFPs!!

AF arrived a week late today hmm so I'm off the bus!!! On to February! Not fussed as it was only our first month trying smile

wondercat07 Wed 08-Jan-14 12:49:58

Thanks everyone

Congrats cyber, gemz and Mrskoala!!! That's wonderful news! Hoping for sticky beans all round!

Sorry to all who've got AF this month, and good luck for next cycle. Wishing you all a 2014 baby xxx

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 12:58:32

Congrats mrskoala!! smile

Munday I know....i have issues!!!! :/ and also just purchased 3 cream eggs....2 are not for me.....lets see how long that lasts!!!

LH1981 Wed 08-Jan-14 13:03:20

Aw Mama, the witch is such a cow! Hope if AF arrives full flow she'll bugger off quickly and let you get started with lucky number 8. Hugs!
Yes, there is a silly old wives tale that says if you suddenly crave sweet things you're having as girl (sugar and spice and all things nice...)

I craved spicy food and salt all through both my last pregnancies and had 2 boys, so maybe there's something in it?

Congrats to all the bfps!

Not testing again until 23rd Jan, when I would expect next AF to show up. Unless of course she shows her very unwelcome face before then.

To be honest, I think this is our last month ttc.
Reason being, that we have a holiday planned for next Xmas in Australia to visit my sister for a month, so can't have a baby too close to that (I'm flying by myself with 2 kids already). We already have so many family birthdays around Oct-Dec (12 of them) so would be impractical (I know a minor silly reason) but most of all because my oldest ds is turning 7 and my youngest ds is turning 6 so I don't want any bigger an age gap.

We agreed we'd try for 6 months and see what happens. Nothing so far so if nothing by end of Jan, then we are going to count our - already many - blessings.
xx

ThoraNomiki Wed 08-Jan-14 13:03:23

Hi can I join? I'm not very good company but this TTC journey is lonely sad even my husband doesn't get it! We have an appt. for the end of this months to start fertility investigations.

TTC #2 Month 13 AF due soon (I think judging by Cervical changes but I'm probably wrong)

CD 55 so I'm in limbo with some others <waves at Ginger and LH> except this is normal for me. Negative HPT's 25/12 31/12 and 07/01.

I'll try not to post my misery too often. smile
Congratulations to those who have January BFP's so far and wine here's to many more to come!!

LH1981 Wed 08-Jan-14 13:08:26

Welcome aboard Thora - and welcome to limbo land with me and Ginger. Sucks doesn't it?!

Sounds like you've been at this game a while - hope you get some answers when you have your appt. Did you have problems conceiving #1?

Post as often as you want - we're a lovely, supportive group of ladies and we all know what that bfp means to us, and how crap a bfn can be.

xx

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 13:09:59

Thanks LH! Just waiting for full flow was certain it would be this morning but nope...just more dragging itself in!!!

I have a boy too and didn't crave any sweet stuff, all savoury things! How funny!

I just ate my soup at an offensive pace so I could get stuck in to this creme egg....what is the matter with me?!!!! defo af giving me severe choc cravings! She best hurry up before I'm the size of a house! A few cramps would put me off my food.....think I need that right now! :/

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 13:11:03

And LH! When you say you will stop trying....will you go back on birth control or just forget about it?!!

LH1981 Wed 08-Jan-14 13:18:40

Chocolate is a woman's prerogative! And I'd brave indigestion for a cream egg any day grin

Ugh, you're still waiting - what a pain!

wrt ttc, I think dh will have the snip! His dad and brother have both had it done. So we've got to be sure that we're done with the baby thing!
Also, last night ds#2 woke in the night, frightened by some foxes making noise outside and we both found it such a shock to the system! We were like, omg can we seriously do this sleep-deprevation thing again lol - of course if we are successful this month we'll be over the moon. But if not, perhaps it was just meant to be iykwim.
xx

rockin20s Wed 08-Jan-14 13:48:27

My IC line got darker again this morning but I have af cramps too I'm 13dpo and af due tomorrow.

Oh I hope it isn't af and just some ligaments stretching,I'm freaking out

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 13:49:33

LH I'm not even usually a choc fan, love my crisps and savoury snacks but have been stuffing my face with chocs for days!!! Af better arrive today before I turn in to a bus.....but hey maybe I could be the next bus ;)

Awh really! DH is also getting the snip once we finally get our little bundle! As will def be my last!

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 13:51:47

I see what you mean though, leaving it to fate is sometimes best and if not meant to be I think your right counting your blessings!

DH doesn't have any children of his own so we Definately want one more.....ive actually never seen him so happy since we started ttc....apart from the monthly disappointment! maybe it's all the sex! Haha! No really though I can see how much he wants it and he is so so ready for a little baby I just wish it to happen soon!

Congratulations Koala!! Today's been a busy day for those lovely BFPs! Yay!!

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 14:07:23

Rockin I think cramps is quite normal at the start, others seem to have had cramps thinking af on the way but got a bfp! So hopefully you will be fine! Know what you mean though I'm sure it's just worry worry worry from you get your bfp!

LH1981 Wed 08-Jan-14 14:13:22

mama I can't wait for it to happen for you - siblings are so amazing to watch together, and will be so lovely for your dh!

My dh is less keen for a baby, so it's all my doing lol! He's come around to the idea and will be really pleased if it happens, but he wouldn't be crushed if we stuck at two. It might be because he's one of two boys and I'm one of three girls that's the difference? I'm used to a dynamic of three, plus I'd adore a girl (I know you can't choose and I'll be chuffed regardless), that might be the reason I feel we're not done.

DH is also very happy with all the dtd!! Normally he's a once a day kind of guy, and I'd be happy with once a fortnight week, so this suits him perfectly! wink. It's a turn of the tables when I have to beg him, rather than the other way round teehee!

mum2kiss Wed 08-Jan-14 14:19:13

Congrats to all the bfps! Too many to remember!

My pregnacare conception arrived today...now i just need to remember to take it!

I have my dps brother's wedding to attend this weekend...I haven't tried on my dress since the Christmas indulgence and ive been stuffing my face for weeks! Here's praying it can stip zip up.on Saturday and that I don't burst back out ofnit during dinner!

Awh thanks LH! Sounds like you have a lovely little family smile I would also be in my element if I had a girl! Would def not be disappointed with another boy though, they are amazing but as we will only have one it would be amazing to have one of each! But really do not mind at all!!!

Yes I was a "only at the wkend" type of girl, as always tired from work whereas DH would dtd anytime of day! How many times he can get it!!! Lol so he absolutely loves ovulation time of the month! Think he counts down the days til it's that time again ;) oooooh I'm exhausted even thinking about it! Haha!!!!

Sleepisf0rwimps Wed 08-Jan-14 14:41:40

I think I may have just got the lightest BFP in Christendom today.

Being the anxious person I am, the knicker checking shall commence. It really was the faintest line on an ic though so still not sure.

Urgh, if I'm not worrying about one thing, it's another! smile

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 14:44:36

Sleep wow! How many dpo are you?? Can you check with another test?! Possible congrats!!! smile

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 14:44:58

Still no full flow.....aaaarrrrrggghhhhh!!!!

Woohoo congrats on all the bfps!!!!
Such a fab first week of jan!!!

Mama I would have normally had the egg first!!! Sod the soup!! However, not into choc still, which is still good.

I'm 10dpo for those that asked (maybe 11). I know it's uber early but I thought if IC was showing, the superdrug one would too. Must sit on hands now til Friday.
Also, white knickers are fab for crotch watch. No more brown as such but a very thin skid amount of something yellowy brown on them.

Must dash, dh making fried rice for late lunch with the leftover ham from Xmas gringrin
Then it's a chilled afternoon with a film or something.
Currently ds is fast asleep in his buggy from his morning at nursery so hoping we can eat before he wakes up lol!

Sleepisf0rwimps Wed 08-Jan-14 15:08:15

I am 11DPO so still very early days. I just went to local store for a test and they don't sell them! So I embarrassed myself in front of the village gossip for no reason.

Sleepisf0rwimps Wed 08-Jan-14 15:09:26

How old is your DS choccy? Mine is 17 months. Eep.

Hi sleep! Ds is 2y5m, he's at a lovely age now. Would've liked another around now but the time wasn't right as ds had gone from a fab sleeper to a crap sleeper last January and dh wasn't really keen on another, but mid last year he came around. We were always going to have 2, but it's funny how you get so tired it puts you off!! He's so much better again now, even though it was my morning to get up this morning and he woke at 5.30!!! (He'd lost his cuddly!) pah!

And cringe at the test in the shop!!

Flukewoman Wed 08-Jan-14 15:33:23

rockin with my first DC I had cramps when AF was due - I genuinely thought it was on the way and was just testing to rule it out before a boozy weekend. Don't worry!

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 15:42:47

Just realised my last 2 cycles were 27 days so this is not out of the ordinary. Last 2 cycles I was taking the b6 though and I didn't take any vits during December but maybe it was still in my system!

Oh well I may stop stressing as spotting will continue til the wkend then! Boooooooo! sad need to get over it, forget about it and get on with it!

Choccy that will be a nice age gap now for another smile my ds is 12years old! So def a big gap for us.....getting bigger each month :/

FinickityCoder Wed 08-Jan-14 15:54:44

Tentatively hopping on the bus. Had a chemical pg last month and although not technically ttc #2 yet had a slip up 2 days before OV so although unlikely I've got myself all carried away already. 9dpo today and will be testing when my cheapies arrive tomorrow. Hopefully postie comes early!

Just found my posts on another site from my BFP with DS and thought this little list of how my pg tests panned out might be of some interest to some of you;

10dpo - bfn am on IC. BFP (Super faint, within 3 mins) 2pm on IC. Bfn 9pm on IC.
11dpo - bfn with fmu on IC. Bfn 1pm on IC. Super super faint BFP after 10 mins 6pm on IC.
12dpo - Ran out of tests blush
13dpo - Faint BFP fmu on IC. Bfn 9pm on IC
14dpo - bfn with fmu on Tesco test. Very very faint BFP pm with Tesco test.
15dpo- BFP with fmu x3 on IC

So 6 bfn's at various times after my first BFP. I'd forgotten all about this until just now. Thought it might be comforting to those with faint lines etc smile (as you've probably guessed I'm a POAS addict! blush )

Congratulations to those with Bfp's so far and sorry to those who AF has arrived for thanks

Kt1991 Wed 08-Jan-14 15:58:12

Hello everyone, after the faint line on Monday evening they were a lot stronger yesterday morning and this morning! Just done a digi now and says 2-3 weeks smile so happy! This bus is getting off to a good start! Good luck everyone else testing! And sorry to anyone who AF got

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 16:15:07

Wonderful news kt!!! smile I'm sure your just delighted!!! smile

Fin that's def an interesting post! But also just shows what I've always suspected, those IC's are just not reliable enough! I get faint lines on them every time I test and I don't mean evaps, I mean within the time limit and pink in them!!! Maybe it's just my eyes and not the tests....seeing what they so desperately want to see lol

Anyway where's writer?!!! Haven't seen her in a while hope everything's going well with her pregnancy!

Loving the bfp's todaygrin Congratulations grin

Fin....that's amazing!!!! I always wondered about the reliability of the ic! I usually test using them from 10dpo and plan to use a frer if I see a faint line! I will probably poas on Saturday even though I am sure I am not pg......what can I say, I'm a poas addictgrin

Writerwannabe83 Wed 08-Jan-14 16:26:34

I'm here mama - I still come on every day to see how you are all doing!! Seeing the BFPs arriving still makes me happy - there is nothing better than reading the latest Bus Thread to cheer myself up whenever I'm feeling a bit down! You are all hilariously crazy and infectious - the posts always put a smile on my face.

Pregnancy is still having its ups and downs, this little one is determined to keep me on my toes. The worry is exhausting smile My c-section date has been booked and so although there's still a way to go I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. We decorated the nursery last weekend and all the furniture is arriving this Friday so it is all becoming very real smile

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 16:31:06

Awh lovely writer sounds like your doing well! I'm sure the nursery is just lovely! Yes we are all crazy!!! Especially me! :/ I feel I lost my mojo for a while but hoping it's back now as being negative is certainly not going to help!

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 16:31:46

Spinning I'm so anti-IC now! Lol I hate them!

Writerwannabe83 Wed 08-Jan-14 16:37:31

Everyone is allowed to lose their Mojo sometimes - I will be lurking on all buses until I see you get your BFP because I still have every faith it's going to happen soon grin

We gave gone for a Winnie The Pooh themed nursery as that's what DH was really keen on. I wasn't sure at first but then I saw he was 'watching' loads of WTP items on his eBay account, bless him, so I relented as it's obviously important to him smile

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 16:42:16

Awwwwh thanks!!! That is too cute your DH! Awwwwh winnie the pooh! Adorable!

Writer! Lovely to hear from you. So glad you're getting sorted! When are you due again?
We had Winnie too for ds nursery, we did duck egg blue as didn't know the sex.
Not sure if you have already got one but we had one of these above the cot so cute. It's in ds' room still now as we stuck it to some made to measure Perspex so we could move it from house to house (we've moved twice!)

Ooh how exciting Writer....I'm sure the nursery looks lovelygrin

Mama.....I would rather not use ic but as a poas addict I would bankrupt us if I only used frer grin

Moffit Wed 08-Jan-14 17:03:24

Congratulations to all the BFPs, today must certainly be lucky (I think there's 5 so far but it have actually lost count)!!!

Writerwannabe83 Wed 08-Jan-14 17:06:26

That's really lovely choccy - such a sweet sentiment. And congratulations on your news, I don't typically post on here in case I come across as a stalker of women trying to conceive, but like I said, I pop on every day and I was so happy to see you got another BFP. I so, so, so hope this is your time and I will be following your story smile

My CS is booked for March 24th - eek smile

KittyVonCatsington Wed 08-Jan-14 17:13:41

Leaving work now. Going to PIAC when I get home - praying for a positive OPK result CD16 - surely I should get one soon - <fingers crossed> <toes crossed>

Thanks writer and omg not much longer for you!! Bet you are so excited!! gringringrin

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 17:20:20

March will fly in!!!! So exciting!!!! smile

Dammit just ate another creme egg! This has to stop!!!!!

ImaginaryHat Wed 08-Jan-14 17:26:45

Wowzer so many bfps today, well done ladies! Congratulations to you all.

Writer I can't believe how fast time has gone, I remember you getting your bfp and now youre booking a date for him to arrive! That's too exciting! So cute about your dh caring so much about the nursery too.

Good luck with the opk kitty, just off do do mine now as just got in from work, expecting a positive given how dark yesterdays line was.

Gosh sorry, I'm totally spamming the thread, stupid phone! Not due a new one for a whole year either, boo.

And mama, step away from the cream eggs and give them to me!

Jessica78 Wed 08-Jan-14 17:41:37

So many BFPs! Congrats - totally happy for you ( more than a little jealous )!

Jessica78 Wed 08-Jan-14 18:03:02

Oh God - just went to the toilet & I had a slight pinkish tinge when I wiped - have just looked at my calendar & I had a slight ewcm 10 days ago & we DTd alot over the few days around that. AF is due on the 12th - this is either the start of that or could it possibly be implantation - the timings seem right don't they? - I'll be two weeks post ovulation ( I think ) on The 12th... Is it just wishful thinking?

KittyVonCatsington Wed 08-Jan-14 18:03:19

Gah! Another negative OPK! You know? It never actually occurred to me I might not actually ovulate this month. Bloody waste if you ask me!! Oh well, will still try every other day until AF happens. It's getting tiring though. 5.30am DTD is a new one for me!!

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 18:08:05

Imaginary I fear I may eat the 3rd one before the night is out :/ dam 3 for a quid creme eggs!!!! Well actually had bought them to share with DS and DH but have had 2 and only 1 left so would be easier to eat it and not let on I bought them!!! Lol oh stop it mama!!!! Pure greed!!!

Well if you eat the 3 mama, it's only like eating 1 about 10 years ago they've shrunk that much! wink

Jessica, sounds promising, good luck smile

Flukewoman Wed 08-Jan-14 18:25:41

Could be implantation Jessica - I hope so for you smile

I feel really weird and shattered. I am on CD16 and have short cycles. The only EWCM I've seen has coincided with the last day of AF. Isn't it mad how obsessive this can be? I guess I will test next week sometime, but with cycles varying between 20-30 days it's hard to be sure when. Obviously I could just be sensible and wait until properly overdue but where's the fun in that grin

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 18:31:35

Choccy very valid point.....no no no....your supposed to talk me out of it :/

Jessica good luck hope it is IB!!!!

Fluke.....where is the fun in any of this?!!!! It's certainly an experience put it that way! Good luck for testing! smile

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 18:32:19

Ps choccy you got your white knicks on?? How's crotch watch going?

FinickityCoder Wed 08-Jan-14 18:47:47

Ooh Jessica, exciting! Fingers crossed it's implantation spotting.

Congrats KT grin

I've got to say, I've used possibly near a hundred IC's over the years and if memory serves me correctly I think I've only ever had one evap, I think they're like OPK's in that they're different for everyone though. I think it was more early testing and varying levels of hct in my wee at such an early stage that left me with such unpredictable results. Obviously hasn't put me off early testing though blush grin

I did notice that testing with fmu seems to be useless for me though, early afternoon always seems to pick up a much stronger line which is odd but not uncommon, I've noticed a few ladies around the Web say the same thing.

Really craving a Creme Egg now, Mama! I'm pretty sure I'll be off the bus shortly as I have AF cramps now and I really fancy some chocolate. I only like chocolate for a few days a month, much prefer crisps the rest of the time!

Nah, I'm not going to talk you out of it mama, you neeeeeeeeeed them!
Yes got the knicks on lol wink no more since earlier grin

But my nips are now on fire confused

Writer....you're due date will come round so quickly now!! grin

Choccy....haha love the cream egg thinking, 3=1 grin

sazzlehopes Wed 08-Jan-14 19:07:47

Ooh mama, you have me thinking about cream eggs now - but actually i could easily murder a pack of hot cross buns with a cuppa!

Going strong with my dtd plan...yesterday tonight and tomorrow morning if we can bare the early alarm set... Jeez, I'm determined this is my month and as I got a peak yesterday I need to hit all bases!

On a slight random side step...did anyone watch the bbc1 prog 7.39, the commuting train drama? I've haven't watched the 2nd part yet, so don't give too much away but did you see that there was a baby making joke about not calling it that and instead 'extreme body pump' because the characters were both gym/fitness trainer people! Hilarious, so instead now instead of DTD expect EBP from me!! grin

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 19:10:54

You lot are a bad influence, I think I'll go for a bath to take my mind off eating the last creme egg. DH working late and DS at footie practice....making me want to eat it more!!!!

Fin I'm not in to chocs either, much prefer savoury and like you crisps! smile but the odd time pre af I get choc cravings! Hasn't happened for ages though and I'm so glad it doesn't happen every time or I'd seriously be the next bus carrying you lot!! Lol

Ooooh choccy your symptoms def sound promising! smile

JustMarriedBecca Wed 08-Jan-14 19:21:41

Evening ladies....congrats on all the BFPs.

Although .....first ever BFN over here.

I don't know what the hell I was thinking because I'm only 7-8 DPO, did the test in the evening and its just a cheapie One Step. Well I do, I was thinking that could technically take FR tomorrow (AF due next Wednesday) so why not tonight even though its a week too soon and it's clearly because I'm mental

Going to wait until Monday and do Clearblue.

Monday. Only 4 and a half days to go.

Sazzle yes I watched it!! I never watch things in 2 or 3 parts as I always miss one but I watched that. Extreme body pump lol grin

Moffit Wed 08-Jan-14 19:48:11

JustMarried Becca I think we're on the same dates in relation to our cycle. I was wondering about testing this evening too.....but I know its way too early! I think I might try to hold out until Monday, then I'll be 12dpo, do you wanna be my poas buddy?? I've only got a boots test, so I might buy a frer over the weekend!

Hopemummi Wed 08-Jan-14 19:49:26

Finickity I think you've saved my sanity, I'm a week late, day 10 dpo. Tested with an early response jobby from boots BFN. hoping it's too early and trying to resist until the weekend. Driving dh mad.

missmrsmummy Wed 08-Jan-14 19:59:26

kitty I got a negative with my opk today too! I'm prob testing too early but seeing as AF was about 5 days early, I though my ovulation might be to. Nature can be so unpredictable!

Currently DTD every other day as per the smep!

missmrsmummy Wed 08-Jan-14 20:00:37

Oh an pd I accidentally took the 'his' tablet from our his & hers conception pack! What will happen to me?! shock

missmrsmummy Wed 08-Jan-14 20:04:08

*oh and

ImaginaryHat Wed 08-Jan-14 20:09:58

Good effort on the dtd front sazzle! I'm also contemplating early morning dtd tomorrow, which I hate! Got v dark positive opk today and am away tomorrow night with work so should do really hmm

Becca Ive tested at 7 dpo more times than I care to admit. Its just too tempting, you're not alone!

Choccy white pants for crotch watch is genius!

sazzlehopes Wed 08-Jan-14 20:12:12

Imaginary - i'm already not sure about early morning dtd...especially with an early risisng ds...but still, needs must hey?! Will see how dp feels, he's not home until late so not sure he'll be thrilled about it!

Choccy - love the white pant investment - i'm on it!

ImaginaryHat Wed 08-Jan-14 20:19:49

Yeah I'm already talking myself out of it 'we've done it today and yesterday so dont really need to do it tomorrow'. Except I know we probably do really! Yeah will see how motivated we both are in the morning I guess!

KittyVonCatsington Wed 08-Jan-14 20:23:14

You have made me feel so much better missmrsmummy! Was starting to fear missing my LH phase, failing and having to test twice a day next month according to the "Interweb" but maybe I'm still in with a chance!

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 20:27:05

Imaginary and sazzle I know how you feel I despise early morning shags.....and that is what they are...tasks!!! They are simply to make a baby and for nothing more as there is just no pleasure in dtd half asleep when you really don't want to! Lol but best not miss the boat either....the early bird catches the worm ladies ;) ;) ;) hahaha!

Ps 3rd creme egg demolished.....i am vile!

Squeakybeaky Wed 08-Jan-14 20:30:32

Massive congrats to you ladies with BFPS over the last couple of days. So lovely seeing them pop up.

Can I join too? I am due 23rd jan so ov happening this week so all go go go here ha ha

ImaginaryHat Wed 08-Jan-14 20:30:37

Spot on with that description mama.

At least the cream eggs are gone now, just pretend they never existed haha!

missmrsmummy Wed 08-Jan-14 20:31:52

kitty what day were you predicted/expecting to ovulate?

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 20:38:50

Welcome squeaky! All go indeed! Enjoy the fun part smile

Imaginary that's exactly what I'm doing DH on his way home and I've hidden all the evidence, 3 wrappers well hidden in the bin under some other rubbish.....oh my! you would think I've committed a crime....but I'm just ashamed really :/

JustMarriedBecca Wed 08-Jan-14 20:47:09

Moffit....yeah, let's do Monday morning.

Found this online.....http://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=7. Makes me feel better. Basically says 75% of pregnant women that test on 7 DPO get false positives.

Early bird catches the sperm mama wink

DH and I are DTD tomorrow morning...great for him,he love a morning shag - me? Not so much!but I read men's swimmers are better in the morning. I'm willing to give anything a go!
On another note, my delivery of ic's came today.... Hope they're reliable for me! Got to get through ovulation first. If I ovulate this month!

KittyVonCatsington Wed 08-Jan-14 21:10:12

missmrsmummy-ironically, I thought it would be today. Last month, on the 8th and 9th, I got sharp pains in my right side-guessing it was right ovary. Thought it was ovulation pain. Got AF 15 days later. I haven't experienced the same stabbing pains today but still have that rock hard stomach from yesterday and a little bit of cramping. Totally confused not to get a positive result. At 32, you'd think I'd have some inkling about my own body hmm

missmrsmummy Wed 08-Jan-14 21:13:39

I'm glad you're unsure too kitty as I thought I had everything under control until my last AF! I suppose it just proves that we are human and not machines!

Mama the creme egg saga has made me giggle tonight! I made rolo cookies which meant I only ate 3-4 of them. Have so much chocolate in the house it's ridiculous!!
Have had a stitch on my left side (ovary?) since 6pm. Thought maybe I'm ovulating late, cd28, so thought I'd drap DH to DTD but it made it hurt more! Am I setting myself up for disappointment thinking maybe it's implantation?
Sorry for the ramble. And good luck for morning DTD!

Sleepisf0rwimps Wed 08-Jan-14 21:20:49

I tried a cb digi and it says 'pregnant 1-2'.

That is a lovely age gap choccy. I didn't get white pants but I got lots of pants liners for 'crotch watch' wink

bellaboo88 Wed 08-Jan-14 21:29:35

Ladies, need a little help...last cycle was 27 days...in theory I should have ovs on cd14... On cd15 I thought I had good cm however on CD 16 I felt sick/low achey. Cd17 was 'huge glob of cm' day...so, do I assume I ovd earlier or later??

Havnt been able to get any b6 but I'm on holiday shortly over my fertile prediction.

Not oping yet, dp thinks its going too far x

RetroHippy Wed 08-Jan-14 21:31:00

mama, I'm desperate for a creme egg now! I've been known to keep a box of 12 in my car door pocket so I can eat three one a day on the way home and DH won't know blush

My ttc story for the day; sat on the sofa this evening, having been SWI for precisely three days. DH turns to me and asks if I feel pregnant yet. Bless, he was actually serious too. Looked gutted when I said it would be at least two weeks before we can test grin

On the upside, he's not let me have a night off since we started wink he's taking this very seriously!

KittyVonCatsington Wed 08-Jan-14 21:36:15

Bless him, RetroHippy! Have been impressed at DH's 'commitment' too grin Think it might be a male pride thing hee Hee!

missmrsmummy Wed 08-Jan-14 21:40:07

retro that's my hubby's phrase too - every morning when we wake up and when he gets home from work!

onelifeonechance Wed 08-Jan-14 21:42:05

3 creme eggs Mama?! Excellent work smile how do you eat yours?

Evening ladies! I've had a busy one today, sitting on the sofa now ready to snooze. Have only had chance to scan but there appears to have been a lot of bops today, congrats to all those lucky ones!

onelifeonechance Wed 08-Jan-14 21:43:58

And big waves and hugs for Writer, glad youre still with us, we need you to cheer us on when we finally get to join your club!

RetroHippy Wed 08-Jan-14 21:46:42

Aww, Kitty and Miss, it must be tough to want to be involved but not really know what's going on. It's tough enough when we don't know!

GlitterLily11 Wed 08-Jan-14 21:50:30

Jumping in here ladies lol. Just got a v v faint line on an ic. May test again on Friday and see what I get. Af due saturday. Ive had quite a few promising symptoms so am hopeful xxx

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 21:50:56

Munday glad I have entertained you ;) not glad I have been a greedy bitch though!!!

Retro I like your style....in the car door you say?!.....no I must not purchase any more creme eggs I have no self control!!!

Onelife how do I eat mine? Well today....like feeding time at the zoo :/ I am actually ashamed and disgusted at my hunger and poor diet this last few days!!!! Monday I am beginning my new healthy eating plan!! I hope you are having a relaxing evening onelife after your busy day x

onelifeonechance Wed 08-Jan-14 21:57:57

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 21:59:16

Onelife I do that too!!!!!!!!! Sounds gross....but it's so yum!!!! yes spotting do as onelife tells you!!!!!

onelifeonechance Wed 08-Jan-14 22:01:31

Sod father Christmas and his mince pies, it's all about the Easter bunny and her choccy!!! (& her rampant sex life&ability to procreate like...well.....rabbits) Lol

KittyVonCatsington Wed 08-Jan-14 22:04:16

Love the analogy onelife!

onelifeonechance Wed 08-Jan-14 22:06:02

Thanks Kitty <takes a bow>

Sleepisf0rwimps Wed 08-Jan-14 22:07:00

Thanks mama smile spotting is rough. I had that for almost all of my last cycle but never before then. Very strange!

Squeakybeaky Wed 08-Jan-14 22:11:17

What does ic stand for? Something cheapie. Are they the tests from amazon?

Gingerpanther27 Wed 08-Jan-14 22:11:54

Ooh I want mini eggs now! smile wondering if it's worth buying another box of sticks or should I just save my money sad

Gingerpanther27 Wed 08-Jan-14 22:12:47

squeaky ic stands for internet cheapies so eBay Amazon and the likes. smile

Gingerpanther27 Wed 08-Jan-14 22:13:27

There designed for poas addicts like us lol

GlitterLily11 Wed 08-Jan-14 22:14:51

Thanks kitty xx

Squeakybeaky - it is internet cheapie, yes. I got 10 from amazon for a couple quid x

ImaginaryHat Wed 08-Jan-14 22:36:26

Ooh fingers crossed for a darker line tomorrow glitter, sounds promising!

Yep that's how I eat them too onelife and mama! Yum!

ImaginaryHat Wed 08-Jan-14 22:36:54

Ooh fingers crossed for a darker line tomorrow glitter, sounds promising!

Yep that's how I eat them too onelife and mama! Yum!

Fingers crossed for you Glitter, sounds promising!!

I'm really disgusting with a cream egg - bite top off, scoop inwards out with finger then demolish! What an animal!! I'd live a cream egg right now... Alas no cream eggs in Amsterdam! Bugger!!

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 23:21:44

......jealous of rabbits now sad

mama31 Wed 08-Jan-14 23:23:02

Morning allgrin

Glitter....sounds promising! Surely you'll poas this morning? How can you wait till tomorrow!!!grin

Sleep.....congrats, always nice to see it in writing!

I love Creme eggs but I'm healthy eating and trying to keep away from any sugar!!! Respect Mama for eating 3grin

Who's testing today??grin

jilljill2891 Thu 09-Jan-14 07:39:14

Hi love reading all of these posts! Shame about work getting in the way of joining in wink

So now 10 days late, have woken up at midnight for the last two nights wanting to throw up, and walked into my porch last night to a huge whiff of paint (porch was painted in November and I have a cold so it's a miracle that I can smell anything!)

Think i'm symptom spotting hmm

Did another pregnancy test this morning as a had a dream last night that I got a BFP! And I did it, popped it in my dressing gown pocket (in its packet!) to make a cuppa, then realised I should know what is +ve and -ve ..so read the instructions and was supposed to lay it flat after testing - seriously would this make a difference to the result? blush

After reading that I put it down flat (probably too late) and a very very very very faint line appeared, like i might seeing things! its just an amazon cheapie. hopes are still not totally dashed I will try again at the weekend! smile

Sorry for the long post xx

Ooh Jill that sounds positive!!! I would poas again latergrin have you got a different brand?

ThoraNomiki Thu 09-Jan-14 07:45:49

Thanks LH smile My DD was unplanned (a few missed pills) so we convinced ourselves we would have no problem 2nd time round. So naive!
I hope your not in Limbo for much longer.

I am a POAS addict too which is why I love IC's. I'm not so worried about the reliability (although they're supposedly used by doctors) because I already "know" I'm not pregnant it just, cheaply, reminds me of the fact now and again so I can't stop analysing every twinge, illness and imaginary symptom my brain can come up with at least for a day . I just bought another 50 so will using one of those bad boys this morn grin

Mama 3 creme eggs! shock <jealous> I love the Creme Egg McFlurries - best thing about Easter

jilljill2891 Thu 09-Jan-14 07:58:15

Good luck ThoraNomiki!!

Spinninggirl10 - I have a boots one - one of their 4 day early things so I would hope that would pick anything up if its there!

Hubby saw the faint line too so I wasn't imagining it!

Kittyrose1 Thu 09-Jan-14 08:07:07

Morning all, congrats for yet more BFPs smile
I'm now due for a visit from AF - any time today until next Thursday. I'm going to get on serious crotch watch and hoping to see nothing!
I'm woken up with a headache this morning, hope it's not a sign of AF sad I do get hormonal headaches but not size I've been off of the pill and having natural periods so a little huge bit of me is hoping it's a pg symptom?! Wise ones, is that possible??

onelifeonechance Thu 09-Jan-14 08:18:23

Kitty Rose ANYTHING is possible, good luck smile

onelifeonechance Thu 09-Jan-14 08:19:47

I'm not a wise one though, more like clueless one! But I DO know that if you've dtd then it ain't over til af starts singing

Glitter eek! Congrats!!

Jilljill, sounds like we're in this together! I'm getting them v v v faint lines but I'm not testing now til Saturday, shall we pee together? grin

Onelife, that's how I eat mine too!

Imaginary, what is wrong with your frikkin phone! Sort it out love wink ha ha.

Kitty yes, def possible. I had it on my list and had a banging one last night smile

Kittyrose1 Thu 09-Jan-14 08:28:11

Hehe made me giggle thanks onelife, I feel so very clueless and google doesn't always help!

Kittyrose1 Thu 09-Jan-14 08:29:55

Thanks choccy, trying not to get too excited! Argh this week is going to be loooooong. Are you going to test again today choccy?

JustMarriedBecca Thu 09-Jan-14 08:32:16

Just ordered 10 clear blues from Amazon. Given up on IC for pregnancy tests because they keep giving me the wrong result.

Hope they arrive before Monday (doubtful) but will wait and will not buy any from Boots in the meantime.

No, trying to wait til Saturday now kitty smile

Kittyrose1 Thu 09-Jan-14 08:47:12

Fx for a dark line for you choccy !

mama31 Thu 09-Jan-14 09:32:37

Choccy, do you think you will really wait until sat?? Lol just asking?!

Well I'm feeling even more ashamed today over the creme egg saga yesterday, I have to admit it got a bit worse......DS came home from footie practice with 3 creme eggs....1 for each of us :/ and I said "no thanks, I'm trying to be healthy!" knowing I had already had 3!!!! and had the ones I had bought for DH and DS :/ what a bad mother I am!!!! He was being so kind and generous buying me a creme egg and I had eaten his sad then I lied and said no thanks to his...oh I feel bad!

He put it in the fridge for me for when I want it......oh my let's see how long it stays in the fridge today!!!! determined not to eat it!!!! Going to try and get DS to eat it today....just coz I feel guilty!!!

Anyway no more creme egg chat! I have learned my lesson about being a greedy, greedy lady!!!!

jilljill2891 Thu 09-Jan-14 09:47:17

Choccy - yes we will pee together on Saturday! I'm soooo nervous I hope I wasn't seein things xx

1974rach Thu 09-Jan-14 09:55:54

sad sad

I'm off the bus ladies. AF has got me (5 days early I might add.)

Mahoosive congratulations to all those wonderful bfps, and for all the right reasons I hope not to see too many of you on the feb bus

xx

pahahahaha! mama that really made me giggle!! grin

Sounds good jill fingers crosseed for a clearer result in the next few days.

Did my first opk post mc today.... bfn. Dont know why i feel a bit disappointed by that when last month i ov on cd18!!

HollyBen Thu 09-Jan-14 09:58:28

Mama it is not you being greedy it is the creme eggs being so yummy that are at fault! You have done your DH and DS a good deed saving them from the sugar adfiction!!!

English do you live near any of the british shops on Amsterdam? I was there for a year and almost bankrupt myself buying vastly overpriced stuff in them. I imagine they will sell you some creme eggs if you have a spare kidney to sell to raise the money....

Rach so sorry!!

Mama, you NEVER put creme eggs in the fridge!! The frosting goes stiff!
Naughty mama!!

Jill it's a date smile

Hollyben... I do but everytime I go in there I'm close to heart attack at the price difference! I don't want a cream egg that bad! Lol! Got guests in a couple of weeks so they may be on my list of stuff for them to bring over! Cream eggs and Yorkshire tea bags!!

sazzlehopes Thu 09-Jan-14 10:30:44

ha mama - love the egg saga!

Ladies that use ic ov tests can you help me please...i normally rely on my cbfm but this month thought i'd go pee crazy and use that plus ICs in the afternoon. I'm on CD14 today had my first peak on my machine CD12 and then 13 too, now it has gone down today to high. Yesterday afternoon and the day before i had only faint second lines with ICs using pm wee but this morning using the same fmu i used for my cbfm i got a very strong 2nd line compared to the control line. So according to my cbfm i may have already ov, but is the IC saying in the next day? I had ewcm yesterday defo. Sorry for the ramble but would be grateful to anyone to shed light on this as I'm driving myself mad!

mama31 Thu 09-Jan-14 10:41:11

Sazzle the best thing to do in this situation is dtd and don't let yourself feel confused! As long as you cover all bases it really doesn't matter!! No one really knows what opks are right! You would like to think you could trust your cbfm though given the price of it!!!!

Spotting heavier and redder today so hopefully full flow by later on!!! Need to get on with it!!!!!

mama31 Thu 09-Jan-14 10:41:49

Oh and choccy, DS puts all his choc in the fridge :/ I disagree also but he loves it cold!

Oh no mama, so sorry sad
Choc in the fridge is so wrong (except if you freeze mars bars, that's different!)

Sazzle I don't get the cb monitors so I can't answer you there. I use the ics as I get a faint line then it gets dark, then fades off again. Sorry, not much help am I!

sazzlehopes Thu 09-Jan-14 10:54:36

No you are helping ladies in a weird way i just needed to hear GET ON WITH IT!!!
But you are right mama they are pricey and i would hope therefore accurate! It's ok though, dtd (EBP for you choccy!!!) last night, could not manage this morning though as ds son was up far too early, always the way! But will dtd tonight and hopefully fri and sat too to cover all bases this month! Imaginary - how did you get on this morning?! Manage your task?!!

Mama hope you get full flow later just so you can get on with things again!

Sazzle... If I were you i'd just be inclined to keep DTD for a few more days to make sure you're covered. I'm not entirely sure with OPKs.... FF gave me one ov date using temps and cb dual hormones gave me a few days earlier. We just carried on DTD and I think those extra days made all the difference. Hope that helps

Sleepingstarsmommy Thu 09-Jan-14 11:32:14

Hello ladies <waves>

On the bus but not been on his thread as just done 3 back to back 12.5 hour shifts after which any remaining energy has been dedicated to dtd before collapsing.

So huge congrats to those with BFPs and thanks for those AF got.

Wrt to the egg saga I eat mine the same as onelife but haven't had one in ages but that will now change as I will be out buying a few packs of them and I am fairly sure there will be none left by tomorrow

I've been using clear blue dual ovulation tests since cd8 which was negative, but had a flashing smiley face cd9 and everyday since indicating high but not peak fertility and Im now on cd14. Last month I used the normal clear blue opk and didn't get a positive. Been dtd everyday except cd13 as we'd had a tiff and were both sulking since high fertility but just wish the smiley face would stop flashing DH says are you sure it's not just the batteries going Wouldn't use them again as it just makes me feel under pressure to dtd everyday while its still flashing and having scoured google this can go on for weeks shock

Been temping as well but not very successfully as my sleep pattern is very irregular. Just finding the whole thing so frustrating and only on cc2.

Oh well. Going to go and buy me some creme eggs to cheer myself up.

Sleeping....I do every other day until I get that peak. I've read too that the high can go on a while and I'd be shattered doing it every day. Then when I get a peak I go for 3 straight days, then back to every other for a few days. Makes it a little less tiring and not so pressurised.
High five to your stamina though!

keepswimming1 Thu 09-Jan-14 11:59:58

Hello everyone

So I am due on today/tomorrow, I'm very proud of myself for not poas smile (yet) I don't appear to be having any symptoms either....

Umm I could just eat a creme egg right now.

Good luck to everyone testing soon smile

RetroHippy Thu 09-Jan-14 12:03:06

Bloody hell (literally), I'm out sad. AF arrived this morning just 18 days after my last period. I guess that explains why I kept getting negative OPKs, seems I'd ovulated early this month.

Humph. Suppose it's a little too optimistic to hope for implantation bleeding seeing as we've only been SWI since Sunday? <hopeful>

Sometimesbrunette Thu 09-Jan-14 12:06:49

I'm ttc number 1 and 1st cycle. well, if I'm honest, really the 3rd cycle but this is the first month i have checked ovulation every day. a few down below pains but i could be imagining them. good luck to all x

mama31 Thu 09-Jan-14 12:14:04

Ok so I want to throw everything at it this month! I am taking pregnacare vitamins, oil of evening primrose up to ovulation only, have my sex plan organised already ;) DH has been on wellmans for a couple months now and is being very healthy! I am planning healthy eating from next week, I exercise regularly (running/walking and starting yoga this month). Any other recommendations to increase my chances?????

I am also going to check out

mama31 Thu 09-Jan-14 12:15:47

Reflexology and acupuncture but probably won't be able to afford that until next month bankrupt after Christmas sad

Would love to know if there is something else I could eat, drink or take to increase fertility if anyone has read anything of interest recently! Oh and pineapple core has already been tried! So not going to bother with that!!!

Hopemummi Thu 09-Jan-14 12:25:20

Goddam AF got me, I'm out.

3 days early too. I was hoping it was ib yesterday, but can't kid myself today. Does mean it was a short luteal phase but it was my first cycle off the pill so I know I shoudn't worry. Saying it will stop me worrying right?

1974rach - hope you're not too disappointed - big hug and see you next bus!

Good luck to everyone still on here smile

I'm going down the venos route...except it's not venos it's benilyn but still contains the needed guaifenesin. See if that helps with lots of ewcm! Sorry tmi!
Gonna also give pineapple core a go. Worth trying all these stupid tricks!

Mama I drink grapefruit juice up to ov can't be from concentrate though!

anjelic it sucks doesn't it? Can't believe that I've had one 50 day cycle followed by one 18 dayer!

My free fertility monitoring app is thoroughly confused grin

So pure grapefruit juice choccy?? I do already have quite a bit of ewcm around ovulation but I guess the more the better? Afraid of drowning DH :/ but might give it a go!

Mama i swear by concieve plus lube, 1tbsp of manuka honey for you and DH per day (increases blood flow to your uterus and genitals apparently - also it will ward off colds so i take it throughout pregnancy as i can't be doing with the lurgy and no medicine), a few mins of bicycles in the air with your legs after sex, and if you have time stay laying down with a pillow under your bum for 30 mins. Oh and always orgasm after DH.

We tried temperature taking and ovulation sticks etc for 8months with no luck then tried all of the above and was pregnant immediately. Same with this time, did all of the above and got pregnant first month after only 3 shags.

Thanks mrskoala!!! Certainly sounds interesting! Why do you say orgasm after DH??? Maybe that's where we are going wrong! DH will never finish until I have (sorry tmi totally oversharing) and I think he will hate that idea but I might have to force that one on him lol

sazzlehopes Thu 09-Jan-14 13:14:41

MrsK...why orgasm after OH? I've not heard that before...

Mama, venos has increased a little more for me but I wasn't wild on the taste but i'd do it again or else maybe buy conceive plus next month.

I'll keep you posted on my reflexology too x

sazzlehopes Thu 09-Jan-14 13:16:34

Mama I'm the same, i always get to go first, attentive DH wink blush but now i think crazy hoping clutching at straws that is where we've been going wrong this last year!!

MrsKoala Thu 09-Jan-14 13:19:15

Because the pulsing of your cervix/uterus when you orgasm is there to pump the semen up. If you come first you will be pumping before the semen gets up there and could possibly be pumping it out, or at least not pumping at all once he orgasms, so his swimmers don't get the little bit of help they may need.

TMI ALERT - We sort of 'keep me on the point' then DH finishes and then finishes me, then i quickly hoik my arse in the air and start peddling like mad - which makes us laugh if nothing else.

massive over sharing on the bus today!! I've heard also about him coming first.... DH & I always do it the otherway round! I've also heard deep penetrative positions help too... gets his swimmers as close to your cervix as possible.
