First cycle really going for it but not being careful for about 3/4 months.
Using OPK this month, got my first flashing smiley today!
Anyone in a similar boat that wants to join the rollercoaster? Feel like waiting for ovulation is just as bad as 2ww :p

Treaclepie19 Sat 04-Jan-14 10:03:04

I really am not awake... not *been being careful...

threebee Sat 04-Jan-14 12:29:13

Hi Treaclepie I will join you! AF/BFP due for me around the 19th, due to ovulate in the next couple of days. Strong line on OPK yesterday but not positive, hoping today's will be. Fingers crossed for us both!

Treaclepie19 Sat 04-Jan-14 14:09:37

Hi threebee smile
Nice to have a cycle friend haha.
I'm the same, first flashing smiley today so should get my solid smiley soon.

Fingers, toes and anything else I can think of crossed!

sizethree Sat 04-Jan-14 15:43:20

Hi ladies. I'm back to trying after a MMC last year, and will be due a BFP/AF on Jan 21st. Would like to join the rollercoaster please. Not using an OPK yet, just hoping nature will be on my side this time! Took us 5 months last time and after a MC your fertility is apparently boosted a bit, so fingers crossed. Treaclepie19, yes waiting for ovulation is as bad a 2ww. In fact I feel I'll spend most of the month waiting!

Treaclepie19 Sat 04-Jan-14 16:32:11

Hi sizethree smile
Sorry to hear about your MMC. Fingers crossed we all get our BFP's smile
Haha definitely, I've wished away my whole xmas holiday...

Treaclepie19 Sat 04-Jan-14 23:00:30

Has anyone got any views on whether to dtd every day/every other day /multiple times a day?

sizethree Sun 05-Jan-14 12:03:45

My best friend is a midwife who had her first child in September 2013. She suggests every 2-3 days (much to DH disappointment!) to create a good strong batch of competitive swimmers. And as sperm stays alive inside you for up to 5 x days, as long as you DTD around the time you're most fertile you can conceive a few days after.
Although it seems the best thing to so is get a blind drunk and not count dates. That's how most sucussful pregnancy stories go!

Treaclepie19 Sun 05-Jan-14 16:33:56

Hmm we could be out for dtd too much then lol.
I suppose there is no one magic answer for everyone though.

sizethree Sun 05-Jan-14 18:35:21

There's no right rule to fit everyone, and I think a fair bit of it is down to luck rather than specific timing, but as long as the deed is being done we are all on the right path! Fingers crossed over next fortnight.

Treaclepie19 Mon 06-Jan-14 20:59:42

Not feeling too positive this month.
Third day of flashing smiley on opk... Back to work today too so really feeling like sleeping not dtd. Plus I now feel selfish for starting trying now rather than a few more months as I haven't lost the weight I wanted to.
Sorry for moaning, think being back at work is making me hormonal :p

sizethree Tue 07-Jan-14 09:06:45

Being back at work doesn't help one bit. Especially getting up on dark rainy mornings.
Please don't feel selfish about not managing to lose some weight, as A) Christmas is THE hardest time to shed pounds, and B) you never know when the BFP will arrive, so best not to postpone as that would put lots of pressure on yourself having lost a few months of TTC.
Big hugs and now show this week who's boss!

Squeakybeaky Tue 07-Jan-14 11:04:02

Think I can join you on this too as AF due on 23rd. I'm not using opk's as only on first cycle but we dtd last night and think we will every other day now

Treaclepie19 Tue 07-Jan-14 12:40:11

Thanks sizethree smile
Yeah, I really don't want to postpone. I'm back to healthy eating now but having a high bmi anyway I really didn't need the Christmas weight.
Solid smiley on OPK today, time flies being back at work!
Hi squeakybeaky smile
I'm a little obsessed with POAS so sadly enjoy OPK's :p Missed out on dtd last night so hoping I won't be too late doing it tonight.

Treaclepie19 Tue 07-Jan-14 18:28:40

Oh how a day can change things. Unless I'm already pregnant (well, about to conceive with sperm from other day) we're going to leave it a month so i can lose some weight. Really don't want to but atm I'm classed as high rish as my BMI is 31.
Fingers crossed for you still.

sizethree Fri 10-Jan-14 08:15:07

Sorry to hear that treaclepie. Keep updating on this thread though. X

Treaclepie19 Fri 10-Jan-14 21:13:09

Will do smile Still in the 2ww as of today due to making my decision quite late but not too hopeful. Doing really well with my diet so not as worried.
How are you getting on sizethree?

sizethree Fri 10-Jan-14 22:40:05

I think I timed it ok and I've been a bit crampy today, which is a good sign I think. But could also be wishful thinking! Must not get carried away!

Penguinttc Sat 11-Jan-14 02:34:01

Hi can I join in please? Ovulated Tuesday, and now I'm on the 2ww...
It's dragging already!

threebee Sat 11-Jan-14 06:50:52

Come on in Penguin, it's a slow time here too! I think I'm around 7dpo and not feeling very hopeful but we'll just have to see...

Treaclepie19 Sat 11-Jan-14 07:24:16

Fingers crossed for you sizethree

Hi Penguin
I'm not sure when I ovulated this month (which is unusual). Didn't have the normal signs.
However I got solid smiley OPK's on tues and wed and my app says thursday so only a few dpo i think.
Time really does drag but being at work speeds things up!

Penguinttc Sat 11-Jan-14 13:51:45

How soon can you have symptoms? My boobs are sooooo sore! I never get mid cycle boobieache... But I'm trying not to symptom spot. Ha!

mrsb87 Sat 11-Jan-14 14:46:46

Hi guys! I think I'm due af around 25th jan so been dtd everyother day. Not enjoying this wait for 2 weeks though!
I must confess I have never been regular with af and am completely baffled by OPKs etc and dpo's ...

Treaclepie19 Sat 11-Jan-14 14:58:50

Penguin it really depends how soon implantation occurs. A lot of sites will say you have no symptoms til later down the line and others will say straight away.
Sorry, I have no personal experience of it yet!

Hi mrsb
No, the 2ww is awful. Hopefully it will be worth it for you though smile

mrsb87 Sat 11-Jan-14 15:02:44

I hope so, I have always been incredibly impatient so this is unreal!

sizethree Sat 11-Jan-14 19:57:05

Sore boobies is a good sign. That's the first symptom I got last time. Looked great but too sure to touch so frustrating for DH!
I've got some early tests so will test a week today which is 4 days before AF is due. I just can't be any more patient!
Fingers crossed for us all. X

Treaclepie19 Sun 12-Jan-14 17:16:06

I think I will test around then too smile
Probably Sunday. Not that theres much of a chance but hey!

Feeturvill Tue 14-Jan-14 11:32:20

I'm TTC #1 cycle 3, AF due 27th but it feels sooo long away. Trying not to think about it but driving myself mad, so reading these boards to get through the next few weeks. I wanted to ask, how common is IB? None of my friends had it but looking on here it seems common?

It's nice to see other people sharing my impatience smile

threebee Tue 14-Jan-14 13:17:14

Hi Feeturvill and welcome! I know what you mean about implantation bleeding, most things I have read say that perhaps a third of women experience it, but nearly all the BFP stories I read seem to feature it! I've never had any type of spotting myself, whether while TTC or not. AF is due for me on Saturday, not sure if/when I'm going to test as I'm not feeling hopeful at all!

Treaclepie19 Tue 14-Jan-14 14:13:50

Hi feeturvill smile
Same as threebee says, I've never had spotting so would be confused if I did.
I might leave testing til the 23rd when AFs due.. if I can wait or I might POAS on sat/sun (Too early) if I'm impatient...

Feeturvill Tue 14-Jan-14 15:07:53

Hi threebee and treaclepie19

Thanks, it's all a waiting game isn't it! Grr I'm so impatient think I'll drive myself mad! Glad I'm not the only one though, nice to know I'm not neurotic!! Or that there are other neurotics out there too. And got fingers, toes and eyes crossed its BFP's all around soon x

Bobo13 Tue 14-Jan-14 15:09:58

Hi! Can I join this thread? I think I ovulated around the 2nd of this month. Over the last few months my cycle has ranged between 24 and 31 days, so not easy to tell my exact date af is due. I'm thinking if I get to 21st and af has not reared it's ugly head I will take a test. Really hoping for bfp this month!!
Not really been using OPK's just trying to dtd every 2-3 days - although it's not always easy as DH works shifts. Would you all recommend them?

Treaclepie19 Tue 14-Jan-14 16:22:55

Hi Bobo smile
I like using OPK's as I'm a POAS addict they givebyou a clear indication. I am however only in my first month of using them.

Bobo13 Wed 15-Jan-14 10:20:36

Thanks Treaclepie19! If this isn't my month I'll maybe start my POAS obsession wink once AF is done. Hopefully it'll confirm that I am reading my body signals correctly.
Also thinking of getting DH onto a multivitamin if AF shows this week. I figures I shouldn't be the only one putting in all the hard work!

Treaclepie19 Wed 15-Jan-14 17:32:27

Haha sounds good!
I need to get DH on a multivitamin also...

I'm symptom spotting like crazy, despite telling myself there is no chance as we stopped trying this month due to me deciding I wanted to lose a bit of weight before. (I've lost 6lb so far!!!)
I've got cramping on my right side and so incredibly tired.
Probably just IBS and too much work!

Bobo13 Wed 15-Jan-14 20:02:11

Well done on losing your 6lbs. At least if you're taking your mind off trying you can get back to enjoying practising wink. I'm sure DH would be loving that and you getting in great shape!! X

Treaclepie19 Wed 15-Jan-14 21:33:07

Thank you, it's a small step but was heading into the obese category which worried me.
I'm excited for next month if this month is out like I expect.

threebee Thu 16-Jan-14 08:09:48

I caved and tested this morning at 11/12 dpo and BFN, which didn't surprise me! sad Will see what my temps do over the next couple of days to decide if I'll test again. I can't believe how long this cycle has felt!!

Treaclepie19 Thu 16-Jan-14 18:21:13

Haha, it really has!
Aww sad Just remember it is still early days smile I feel like testing at around 7DPO! :p

babytinks89 Thu 16-Jan-14 20:26:21

AF due for for me 3days ago....tried preg test tonight but negative sad was so hopeful and we had sex on ovulation day2 weeks ago now... pretty gutted.. but no af yet, been 31days so far since last af... anyone been in the same boat?

LemonDrizzler Thu 16-Jan-14 22:33:51

Can I join? Also due AF/bfp on 23rd. Seems a long time away still! Ttc #1 cycle 6. First month where I have got a positive OPK so know we dtd at the right time - fingers crossed!

Babytinks sorry it was a bfn, but it can take a while sometimes to show up can't it? Did you use a sensitive one?

babytinks89 Fri 17-Jan-14 06:55:35

Hi Lemondrizzler, good luck in ttc smile
Yeah i had 4 tests early tests as well but nothing yet.. Still no sign of my second AF.... 4 days now, just feels strange! Will take another PT if nothing again Sunday, such a draining process, trying not to get myself stressed lol!

LemonDrizzler Fri 17-Jan-14 07:13:38

Thanks Babytinks. Must be difficult not to get your hopes up when AF so late. Fingers crossed though - and good willpower holding out till Sunday, think I would be constantly poas!

Laura05 Fri 17-Jan-14 15:30:48

Hi all, can I join please smile

AF due 20th (I think). I had a lot of cramping around 6dpo but nothing since apart from wee pains and twinges now and again. I did have extremely sore breasts around 7dpo which isn't normal for me but it's died down now and so I have absolutely no symptoms to suggest af or bfp sad

If af doesn't show, going to wait until Wednesday (2 days late) before testing as hate seeing a bfn.

Fingers crossed for everyone x

sizethree Fri 17-Jan-14 18:32:03

It's THE longest 2 weeks ever!
I just want to know either way as this not knowing is torture. Plus 2 close friends have announced this pregnancies this week and I just wish it was my turn.

Treaclepie19 Fri 17-Jan-14 18:37:57

Hi newbies smile
Aww sad I know, I'm getting the itch to POAS... Think I will with a frer tomorrow...

Treaclepie19 Sat 18-Jan-14 07:24:52

Ok, FMU gone so will not be POAS. Proud of my willpower... DH told me not to...
Will be testing tomorrow though 10 DPO... Had cramping, moodswings and spots but all are signs of AF for me too.
How are you getting on sizethree?

Treaclepie19 Sat 18-Jan-14 07:26:14

Also, wonder how threebee is doing?

sizethree Sat 18-Jan-14 09:22:43

I caved in and POAS first thing this morn. Got a BFN, but telling myself it's too early / my Internet cheapies are too poor quality to detect 4 days before AF due! I still have the reassuring niggley feeling that those cramps and water balloon like boobies are down to more than PMT.
Will behave and test again on Monday (may have to get DH to confiscate the test sticks til then!)
How's everyone else doing? Any news?...

threebee Sat 18-Jan-14 11:59:55

Well done for holding out Treaclepie! Will check back in the morning and see how you get on with your FRER!

Sorry about the BFN sizethree but you're right, it could be too early yet!

I had a big temp drop this morning so am expecting AF anytime today or tomorrow. Sad sad

Treaclepie19 Sat 18-Jan-14 13:39:37

sizethree fingers crossed for you closer to AF due date smile

Oh no threebee sad fingers crossed its not AF.

I feel like AF is coming today even though not due til wed/thurs :s

Treaclepie19 Sat 18-Jan-14 16:15:13

Treaclepie19 Sat 18-Jan-14 16:18:09

Stupid phone! Eek :/
Im a little excited/confused as i just went to the toilet and when I wiped there was pale pink blood...
I am always on a 28/29 day cycle. Never less than that. If AF came today that would mean a 25 day cycle.
I know its probably AF but cant help hoping it's IB as I'm around 9DPO... FX

threebee Sat 18-Jan-14 16:58:12

Ooh Treacle it could be perfect timing for IB! Keeping fingers crossed for you!

Treaclepie19 Sat 18-Jan-14 17:15:14

Thanks threebee
It seems to be changing between pale pink and sometimes red... Going to try and forget about it for now yeah right as DH is convinced its just AF.

Treaclepie19 Sat 18-Jan-14 20:59:25

I'm driving myself mad trying to decide if this is IB or AF. Very light pink spotting still. Headache. Thirsty (but have a sore throat). Dizzy.
I want to know now! Haha :p

sizethree Sat 18-Jan-14 21:51:18

Only one sleep left til you do the test. Fingers crossed for you. Better keep us updated in the morn. I'm as excited for you as myself!

Treaclepie19 Sat 18-Jan-14 22:10:07

I will do!!! smile Not sure if it would show on a test tomorrow though if only implanting today. So confusing!!! :p

threebee Sun 19-Jan-14 08:26:05

Good luck with testing Treacle!

AF here for me this morning as expected. sad Onto hoping for a Valentine's Day BFP!

Treaclepie19 Sun 19-Jan-14 08:40:03

Thanks threebee So sorry AF is here for you sad

I don't know what to think...woke up at 4am with cramps and desperate to go to the toilet. Thought AF was here cus of more normal blood.
Woke up this morning expecting not to test but there wasnt as much blood as I'd have thought by now so tested and BFN sad
If this is AF then it means my luteal phase was too short :/ Why now? I've always had quite regular cycles. Argh sad

sizethree Sun 19-Jan-14 11:57:06

threebee and treaclepie I'm so sorry it's not our month. I tested again and BFN so given up hope as there should be enough preg hormone to show up. So just gotta wait til the unwelcome AF arrives.
Aaaaarggghhh, so frustrating! I want it to be my turn. Must be a myth that you're more fertile after a MC!
Let's get ourselves in tip top conceiving shape for Feb BFPs. X

Treaclepie19 Sun 19-Jan-14 12:08:04

Sorry to hear that sizethree
Definitely time to pick ourselves up and get ready for Feb smile I'm expecting BFP on around the 15th threebee so could be testing partners haha.

Treaclepie19 Sun 19-Jan-14 13:52:22

Still annoyed that my cycle has changed. My luteal phase has been only 10 days this month from what OPK said =/ I've always had regular cycles til now! ARGH!!!

Anyone up for a Feb thread? Not yet but after AF has gone I will probably start one.

threebee Sun 19-Jan-14 16:25:55

Definitely up for a Feb thread. Really nice to have some support!

Sorry you seem to be having a weird cycle, Treacle sad

Treaclepie19 Sun 19-Jan-14 16:46:53

Will set one up smile
Thanks threebee It just keeps me thinking is it definitely AF... will have to wait and see I guess.

babytinks89 Sun 19-Jan-14 20:29:45

I'm joining the Feb BFP now too! AF came today gutted, really thought my BFP was tomorrow sad ah well, off we go again!

Gl girls xxx

Treaclepie19 Sun 19-Jan-14 21:22:18

Oh noo, sorry to hear that babytinks
I will make us a Feb BFP mini thread smile

Treaclepie19 Sun 19-Jan-14 21:46:36

I have made it, feel free to join. It is called BFP due Feb 15th smile

LemonDrizzler Sun 19-Jan-14 22:46:23

Sorry those of you AF got. sad A Valentines BFP is romantic at least!
I had a bit of spotting earlier but nothing since. Feel quite AF-like so not getting my hopes up. We'll see...
