Hilarious Disney! I'm interviewing this afternoon and I know I'll have that song in my head the whole way through! grin

CoffeeGuzzler Thu 05-Sep-13 13:13:11

Disney, you have a talent!

Bus 3 ?! Is this normal.

jaykay987 Thu 05-Sep-13 13:22:59

I definitely don't think any of us are normal! grin

One life - FMU is right or CB digi opks. Plus once a day is enough. IC OPKs need to follow the 10-8pm rule and more than or a day is advised.

Owlie84 Thu 05-Sep-13 13:34:51

Part 3, wowzers!! smile

I have bought some Superdrug OPKs as they were BOGOHP at the time. I haven't read the instructions yet, but I guess the advice I've been reading means I shouldn't use FMU for them as they're not the digi kind?

wispaxmas Thu 05-Sep-13 13:48:37

What are we like?

I've not been on the bus all that much before today due to work being crazy, but my GM is out of the office today and I'm stuck at my desk, so... MN!

Disney, you've forever ruined the little mermaid for me! shock

leezl Thu 05-Sep-13 13:51:22

Ello all

snoozysleeper Thu 05-Sep-13 13:55:52

Bus part 3 shock it's only the 5th September!!

Pulling up a seat... Settling down to hear and laugh loudly at some new tunes, great job all!

Spirael Thu 05-Sep-13 14:12:17

I'm here! With more musical interlude:

Let's get down to business,
Time to have some fun.
Will I get a daughter, or will it be a son?
You're demanding that I do the deed,
But you can bet that once we're through,
Mrs, I'll make a Mum out of you!

leezl Thu 05-Sep-13 14:19:52

That's the best yet!

DisneyDiva87 Thu 05-Sep-13 14:24:59

Ha! That is fabulous.

I know Little Mermaid is my favourite too, not sure why I did that...

Daisychain44 Thu 05-Sep-13 14:28:37

Hi everyone.
Marking my place on the Sept bus thread. Have now come through the epic depression caused by AF's arrival and am on cd8 and gearing up for another month of DTD. don't want to start too early and burn out, don't want to start too late and miss the boat (alot of dodgy analogies going on here), am going with the smiley/flashy OPK's again - not sure why as I hated them last time as it just kept flashing for days on end... but the packaging sucked me in again by promising "a whole 4 days of accurate best time to concieve"" blah blah blah.
anyway, this is me feeling upbeat, doesn't sound like it does it?
Acupuncture starts again tomorrow. Blood tests all said fine. so....
Sept IS going to HAPPEN if it kills me!
xxxxxxxxx

lucyfluff Thu 05-Sep-13 14:50:12

Hopping aboard!! You ladies are officially crazy and make me laugh LOT!!

Welcome to all the new people too smile im still waiting for AF to piss off, might be lucky by tmrw night.

lucyfluff Thu 05-Sep-13 14:50:48

*a LOT that was meant to say!!

DisneyDiva87 Thu 05-Sep-13 14:52:37

I don't think 3 buses is normal... at least not this early on in the month.

I'm off now I'll pop in when I can, hope there are lots of bfps over the weekend!

mama31 Thu 05-Sep-13 15:03:51

BUS 3!!!!! Omg! Are we for real!! Haha!! Loving the songwriting skills and musical talent!

Still waiting on opks arriving from amazon prob be delivered today or tomorrow I think. Just cheap ones so I hope they work! Anyone else using those ones? I need to start using them early due to my short cycle so need to start about sat or sun! If my af is still there do I still do opk?? How do these opks work?

wispaxmas Thu 05-Sep-13 15:49:08

I think Aug had 3 buses in TOTAL, 3 by the 5th is ridiculous!

mama, OPKs show the LH surge 12-48 before you ovulate, which helps in pinpointing when you're most fertile. SMEP suggests starting to use OPKs on CD10 and using them everyday until you get a positive (the test line must be as dark or darker than the control). The cheapies I bought off amazon actually have a chart of when you start using them based on the number of days in your cycle. If you have a shorter cycle, you might start earlier than CD10, but I wouldn't start while AF still has you in her clutches.

mama31 Thu 05-Sep-13 15:53:34

Thanks wispa! Yes was thinking that would be weird! Feeling confident about using them now smile very exciting stuff!!

Lmfao Disney, poor little mermaid doesn't know what she's in for wink

I use the chew pies mama smile

There are 82 of us on that list shock that's a bloody big bus!

I'm on twice,if someone can take the 24th one off next time round for me, ta smile

Cheapest, now chew pies, effing auto correct!!

CHEAPIES ffs!

CoffeeGuzzler Thu 05-Sep-13 15:59:21

I haven't dtd once since fertile window passed. Wearing pajamas to bed daily and swatting dh away. Fantastic.

More than week to go for bfwhatever. Have no symptoms either way. Have decided not to test until a week after af due date. [Hmm] Wine and cheese and all manners of shellfood until I see a very big very fat p. Ttc without wine..ha...I am not that type of person.

mama..don't opk while nasty bitch is still visiting. As wipa said..cd10 is recommended but customise according to your needs / level of obsession with poas.

CoffeeGuzzler Thu 05-Sep-13 16:04:03

wispa...not wipa!!!

PurpleGeekyGirl Thu 05-Sep-13 16:13:01

Marking my place on this new bus. 3 already? OMFG!!

Just had my return to work meeting so at least that's out of the way. From next week I will be rejoining the world of those what work during the week, not sit on their enormous backsides watching american telly and obsessing about symptoms!

Am also ready to start PoaOS stick from tomorrow but thankfully on cd4 I have no ewcm like last cycle. Here's hoping it's longer than 21 days this time as 17 was a total bitch. In fact I am feeling hopelessly optimistic about all sorts today. Someone shoot me [ gun ]

wispaxmas Thu 05-Sep-13 16:14:13

We are on a big bus, is it a triple-decker or something?

coffee I do not stop drinking or eating stuff during tww either. Life is too short. And I always think I will trick my body but it never works lol!

Maybe dp and I should decide to stop ttc as that's clearly what worked with me and ex-h. We had an almighty row, decided not to ttc, dtd once that cycle and I fell pg. sigh.

ArmyLovin Thu 05-Sep-13 16:22:19

I'm here! I just downloaded the mydays app and I'm due to ov on a weekend grin hopefully it's right and I ov this month.. Also a question about temping.. Is there a specific thermometer you need or can a baby/child thermometer work?

mama31 Thu 05-Sep-13 16:29:09

Choccy just seeing this now....was thinking "chew pies" what could this stand for.... Was thinking all sorts (u do not want to know lol)

Think I have to do opks early like cd 6 or 7 coz my cycle is short (23 days last time) so soon as the witch does one...ill be poas to my hearts content lol

I'm kinda happy going to the back of the bus its all fun again!! smile

mama31 Thu 05-Sep-13 16:31:12

Ps I'm on the bus twice....I can firmly be removed from the 7th....28th is my new bfp date and will happen this time I am confident (oh please don't let me eat my words after saying it out loud)

Hendricks Thu 05-Sep-13 17:15:56

Ok, so I caved and got out a CBD. Looks like this morning's squint and you may just see it line is real - "pregnant 1 - 2" grin

If you don't mind though, I'll hang about here for a bit - try and drag a few of you down off the bus with me.

Hendricks Thu 05-Sep-13 17:17:00

I mean grin obviously - I am somewhat of technophobe - you my have noticed.

Hendricks Thu 05-Sep-13 17:17:31

...and now I can't spell.... *may, not my

jaykay987 Thu 05-Sep-13 17:18:03

Army - ideally you need one that goes to 2 decimel places. There's a few bbt ones on amazon - less than a fiver.

Bloumermaid Thu 05-Sep-13 17:20:31

Mama I've used the cheapy Amazon opks and found them quite easy - I found that I always had a faint line, then a medium line one day and a strong line the next. Then straight back to faint line. I do them in the evening.

Good luck with it! I have to say it was nice to see a line appear on some sort of stick, was starting to think I had defective wee!

Bloumermaid Thu 05-Sep-13 17:22:48

Aagh Hendricks! Amazing news you preggo thing you!

So excited to have another BFP xx

leezl Thu 05-Sep-13 17:25:21

onelifeonechance Thu 05-Sep-13 17:38:00

ExactlyWhat Thu 05-Sep-13 17:52:26

Congratulations Hendricks!
Lovely start to the new thread - that last one went quickly!!

Took ds swimming today, made me wonder if the pool water could affect ttc? Dtd about 2 hours earlier so prob fine but made me wonder....!

crazylady2013 Thu 05-Sep-13 18:12:58

Congrats to all the BFPs! AF has finally left. She does hang around longer than necessary (7days). According to my app I'm in my fertile window so time to get busy grin. I have mixed feelings about ttc...I want a bfp now because I'm so impatient & I'm not getting any younger. But on the other side I dont want it yet because I'm in the middle of my PhD. Driving myself crazy!!!

englishteacher78 Thu 05-Sep-13 18:15:21

Is extreme exhaustion a symptom? Our pregnant ladies more tasty to gnats?
Yup, trying to put a positive spin on how I feel right now!

SuzB83 Thu 05-Sep-13 18:15:57

Congrats [Hendricks]! So happy for you!

SuzB83 Thu 05-Sep-13 18:16:51

Oops Hendricks xx

lucyfluff Thu 05-Sep-13 18:20:04

Ok so I may have just paid for a psychic reading about concieving.....DH must NEVER know!!!! ;)

Daisychain44 Thu 05-Sep-13 18:26:34

Ha halucyfluff that's hilarious. Let us know what they say, I may follow suit!

Nottalotta Thu 05-Sep-13 18:28:32

Lol @ lucy!! My DH doesn't know i come on here!!

Woo hoo hendricks!! Big congratulations! 4 bfp on the 5th. 80 odd folk on the bus.....surely we can manage one a day??

Re. Thermometer - i'm guessing the one i use for the horse is no good? Goes up his bum for a start....... grin

Nottalotta Thu 05-Sep-13 18:30:26

Bloody 3 busses - i'm hoping its an extra long bendy bus. I may have to give up work so i can keep up.

Hendricks Thu 05-Sep-13 18:31:11

Thank you everyone. grin

I don't know if being more edible to midgies is a symptom englishteacher, but I'm covered in bites. Having said that so is everyone else at bootcamp...

PurpleGeekyGirl Thu 05-Sep-13 18:39:07

woohoo hendricks that's ace news grin

Congratulations Hendricks!!!
Just out with Dh, he's at the bar getting me an alch free kopparberg!

lucyfluff Thu 05-Sep-13 18:48:12

Ha! It takes for days to come through so I'll post it on here once she has emailed me.....!!!!

lucyfluff Thu 05-Sep-13 18:58:44

englishteacher78 Thu 05-Sep-13 19:00:56

Hendricks - I got mine at the gym. At least I managed to get one of them with a Kettlebell grin

snoozysleeper Thu 05-Sep-13 19:06:03

Congratulations hendricks flowers

cheesysmile Thu 05-Sep-13 19:12:02

Yay another bfp, congrats Hendricks flowers

Bus no 3 ... I'm doing my best to keep up!

CD 8 for me today so still nothing to report, looking forward to Saturday so I can start using my brand new shiny digital OPKs grin

onelifeonechance Thu 05-Sep-13 19:23:45

Thanks for the advice jayKay

And can't remember who wrote it but thanks for the info from your consultant about drinking in the 2ww - I started off holier than thou but that was when I thought it would happen instantly oh the naivety of youth I've now woken up a bit and realised it may take awhile (although it'd better bloody not) so now I am partaking if I fancy but just don't over do it.

Just had a moment where I felt sad for all the women who have had to go through this pretechnology, not only did they not have sticks to pee on that tell them when the time is right to get jiggy but they also didn't have any means to talk to others about the rollercoaster of it all in the way we do

Very true onelife!
I've been alch free since coming off the pill. I didn't drink a huge amount anyway, and it actually tastes rank to me at the moment, so I'm not missing it smile

Cupcake1985 Thu 05-Sep-13 19:46:34

Is feeling sad I'm on cd 16 now - used cheap amazon OPKs for a week now and nothing. I know with an average 31 day cycle I might not get anything for a few more days but I'm starting to feel disheartened like it will never come!

PurpleGeekyGirl Thu 05-Sep-13 19:52:02

Cupcake hugs. I never got a positive with amazon cheapies so it might be the tests not you. Do you have any other signs of ovulation?

CoffeeGuzzler Thu 05-Sep-13 19:53:59

cupcake My cycles are around 31/32 days too and I didn't get a positive opk until cd 18. Was going out of my mind with worry. Especially because it was my first month trying to find ovulation days. Don't panic yet. It'll happen. Any day now!

mama31 Thu 05-Sep-13 19:56:14

Hendricks wow!!!! Huge congrats! Glad I checked in or I'd be lost with all the chat! That's fabulous news! I'm sure you are overjoyed! smile

Lucyfluff I'm intrigued to hear all....and my dh doesn't know I go on here some things are best kept for ladies only ;)

Well cd2, AF is sucking the life out of me tmi alert) I feel like I'm bleeding to death......roll on nxt week for some normality....well more like obsessive poas with opks...but let's face it, that's as normal as it gets round here lol

bushprincess Thu 05-Sep-13 19:56:34

Whoop whoop hendricks !! Bloody brilliant news!!

Ipsum.... also a scientist..... well early, on my way to the UK right now for my phd visa....ekk !!!

Loving the songs everyone!!Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

mama31 Thu 05-Sep-13 20:03:39

Hendricks....I'm just drinking a (whole) bottle of wine and having a big bag of peanut m&m's to celebrate your good news! Lol (even tho I bought them before I came on here tonight)

Cupcake1985 Thu 05-Sep-13 20:08:48

Purple Maybe it is the tests but I thought I would now wait until next month if i don't get a bfp this month because of cost - or should I just go for it? Ah to many options! I don't think I've had other signs I don't temp or feel my cervix but thought I would notice ewcm as I think I've noticed it occasionally in months gone by when we weren't trying and I didn't really know about it (tmi alert but sometimes I would notice discharge that was like see through jelly gloop? is this it? If so not had it this month).

coffee thats good to know i have to stay positive. Just feeling like it was a lifetime ago af started last time. Impatient.

mama31 Thu 05-Sep-13 20:12:14

Cupcake I'm starting amazon opks this cycle....never used before so hoping they do work! Keep an eye out for the gloop that's it!!!! Pin dh down soon as u see it!! Good luck!

MrsB2013 Thu 05-Sep-13 20:55:36

WooHoo congratulations Hendricks

Nottalotta Thu 05-Sep-13 21:36:22

Mama - glad i'm not the only one whose DH doesn't know about me coming on here! His idea is to come off contraception and 'see what hapoens'!!!!! Luckily we have recently had the conversation that we should (and would like to) have more sex. So thats my cunning plan for this month. He has NO IDEA about conception.

I too am drinking wine. Yey!

m33r Thu 05-Sep-13 21:38:56

Bloumermaid. Not been following this thread - trying to cut back :-) - but see your bfp due tomorrow. Have you tested? Are you going to? Do you have symptoms?

lucyfluff Thu 05-Sep-13 21:41:26

Notta - your hubbie sounds EXACTLY the same as mine....men hey!!!

I shouldnt moan, hes painting the front room as I type whilst I slob infront of Masterchef!!!!

mama31 Thu 05-Sep-13 21:43:00

Nottalotta my dh was very shocked at af's arrival y'day as he thought he had "supersperm" despite never fathering any children before! So think he needs a reality check!!

Its good to drink wine now af is here it is completely guilt free and well deserved after a stressful 2ww! Whens your bfp due?? Using opks? Cycle lenght? (I'm so behind the door I know)

VJONES1985 Thu 05-Sep-13 21:53:05

Hi all. Felt a bit down today because last night I had a wonderful and very real dream that I was pregnant. Waking up was a shock... and not nice!

PurpleGeekyGirl Thu 05-Sep-13 21:56:39

Mama my DP thinks he has superset
Too. Wish they could test their swimmers as easily as we can see if we are ovulating!

PurpleGeekyGirl Thu 05-Sep-13 21:57:04

Supersperm obvs. Damnyouautocorrect.

Nottalotta Thu 05-Sep-13 21:58:32

Lol yes i imagine mine would think he had super sperm if he thought about it. It was his idea that i stop the depo jab when i did (last one sept 2012) which was a good thing as it took until june for AF to return.

Mama i have has 3 af's since they returned. Was on depo for 7 yrs with none! So far each cycle has been 25 days. Not using opks as yet. Af left me monday and bfp due 24th. So shagging in earnest starts tomorrow. Or tonight...

Having a shocking time at work which gives me even more reason to get upduffed! (9 months mat leave!! Woop woop")

mama31 Thu 05-Sep-13 21:58:34

Awh VJ I hate those dreams its so hard to realise when its not real sad hugs!!! Hope your ok....don't feel too down tho as your time will come when its just right smile

PurpleGeekyGirl Thu 05-Sep-13 21:58:45

Cupcake up to you really. I have an irregular cycle and am nearly 40 so wanted to know if I was still working! I don't want to spend out for too much but one box has lasted me four cycles so far so not too bad.

PurpleGeekyGirl Thu 05-Sep-13 21:59:46

Hugs re work notta. I'm having hard time too and mat leave looks so enticing!!

Nottalotta Thu 05-Sep-13 22:00:06

vjones just before af last week i dreamt i had a baybeeeeee!

wispaxmas Thu 05-Sep-13 22:03:27

Notta and mama, my h was v v similar the first couple months we were trying, and to be honest, so was I.. Except for the last 2ww, when I went nuts. Now we've both agreed we will ramp it up this month. I think the conversation went something like, "are you up to the challenge?" And he jumped into bed wink haha.

He's been a trooper so far this month, he has asked a lot about when we should be dtd, and has even done a bit of reading about fertile windows and all that jazz. He was on board with me tracking ovulation this month, but partly because he thinks we must have just missed it with timing the last few times, because if we'd hit the right time his supersperm would've defo hit the mark grin

Nottalotta Thu 05-Sep-13 22:03:54

Thanks Purple. I love my job but have an awful boss.

PurpleGeekyGirl Thu 05-Sep-13 22:05:16

Notta ditto sadly!

wispaxmas Thu 05-Sep-13 22:06:57

I am also on the work-sucks-give-me-mat-leave at the minute. I'm so burned out with work, I'm extremely excited at the prospect of perhaps being due June and not being around for the busiest part of the open season at my property - including summer hols!!

mama31 Thu 05-Sep-13 22:07:49

Purple I know.....why is everything so much easier for men....they apparently don't have hormonal symptoms like us....yet they are waaaaaay more moody! And then have super sperm (in their heads) and we are worrying all the time if we ovulate, when we ovulate, length of cycle, length of luteal phase, drink/not drink on 2ww, stop caffeine, eat more healthy food etc etc REALLY!!!!!! Life is a bloody jolly for a man!!

Nottalotta sounds like some time off work would be good!! Get it on quick with your dh....hope this is your month! Glad I wasn't on depo I'm cracking up being on 3rd cycle after coming off the pill! And quite annoyed at my 23 day cycle :/ but its early days all the same....I'm just being melodramatic!

PurpleGeekyGirl Thu 05-Sep-13 22:08:15

I can't really moan have been off sick for a year but at my return to work meeting today it's clear they've done sweet fa to deal with the underlying issues confused

Nottalotta Thu 05-Sep-13 22:12:45

Wispa - DH does seem surprised at the frequency of af coming around and so am i I think he may need a biology lesson.

Re depo....i was starting to get worried at lack of af so went to docs - he said up to a year without af was normal after stopping depo. But did some 'initial' blood tests which were fine. God knows what they tested for.....

Nulanoo Thu 05-Sep-13 22:15:08

Hello smile just hopping into this bus still no AF yet but my app thinks I'm due Sunday! Not allowed to posts until then!x

Nulanoo Thu 05-Sep-13 22:15:46

Although got lots if things convincing me AF is on her way!

Nottalotta Thu 05-Sep-13 22:16:36

Oh and thank you mama - good luck to you too! At least the short cycle means you get to crack on quicker next time.

Purple - hope you are ok after a year off! Blimey.

jaykay987 Thu 05-Sep-13 22:17:56

wow. I'm away for a few days now - you'll all probably be on bus 4 by the time I get back!

cupcake - don't stress yet. I normally have a 30-34 day cycle. This month I didn't ovulate until cd21. I'm on cd26 now and still have at least 10days of my 2ww left! by which time others with shorter cycles will already be into the beginning of their next 2ww!

mama31 Thu 05-Sep-13 22:18:33

Awh purple and notta! I feel for you both. I left a v.stressful job 2 yrs ago and now I drive home (and have done for the last 2yrs) so grateful I'm not still in that job and so happy I moved jobs! Every single day I appreciate it!! Time for a new job ladies!!! Keep your eyes peeled for something better that will fulfil your quality of life! smile

Nottalotta Thu 05-Sep-13 22:39:24

You're right mama but i have very good 'conditions' where i am now. Its a balancing act in itself.

Too much wine for a school night....

mrsmummytobe Thu 05-Sep-13 22:46:14

Just caught up on all the chat! Wow, 3rd bus already smile
Congratulations Hendricks smile Fab news!
Good luck to everyone else poas soon! Fx for all of you!
mama really sorry af has arrived but I've got a good feeling about this next cycle for you smile x

mama31 Thu 05-Sep-13 22:46:15

Yep you have to weigh everything up! And good "conditons" often mean sacrifices elsewhere....my motto is "play the game" please who you need to please then go home, switch off and enjoy life smile as long as your paid at the end of the month (or whenever your paid)...everything else is a bonus!

Thursday is the beginning of the wkend...in my head smile

Owlie84 Thu 05-Sep-13 22:47:16

I've just had a coupe of bottles of Bulmers (strawberry and lime - yum!) but now feel a bit guilty blush. But it's my last day at work before a weeks holiday, so I'm gearing myself up for anther busy day! Going to a wedding, but I'm going to bet af will make an appearance as just the wrong time angry

Owlie84 Thu 05-Sep-13 22:48:05

...last day at work tomorrow... Geez, fat forgetful fingers!

mama31 Thu 05-Sep-13 22:53:12

When is bfp/af due owlie??

Owlie84 Thu 05-Sep-13 22:58:02

I think the 11th/12th, depending on if my cycle is playing ball this month. My fingers are tightly crossed, but haven't really noticed any symptoms. sad

mama31 Thu 05-Sep-13 23:30:51

Its early days yet! Good luck for a bfp!!

mama31 Thu 05-Sep-13 23:43:32

Thanks mrsmummytobe! Great to see you checking in with us still! I hope your right about this cycle and I'm glad I'm still in the running for sept! Here's hoping... smile I wish you a wonderful pregnancy! X

onefunkymama Thu 05-Sep-13 23:48:45

mama I also ordered the cheap OPKs from Amazon. Should arrive tomorrow. Feels very much like AF is on her way so, once she's bogged off we'll be newbie OPKers together.

VickyVix Fri 06-Sep-13 03:49:18

Ok, I can't keep up with this, I turn my back for 24 hours and we're on a new bus!

Well I made it to Malaysia, and they have wifi smile but the witch followed me so I'm afraid I'm out this month ladies. I'll be boarding the October bus, BFP due around 6th Oct.

I'll hand around if you don't mind, happy to give up my seat for any newbies though.

Wishing you all the best of luck this month.

justhayley so sorry to hear your news, hang in there and it will happen for you and your OH

Hello and good morning ladies. Onto the third bus. I do hope the frequency of buses correlates to the frequency of the of BFP. If one of those can head my way that would be so nice.

Think I'm cycle day 43. Stupid body. Less than a week finally till AF due. I've had enough as you can imagine. But my temperature is getting progressively higher so that's my symptom spotting for the day.

Anyone testing this morning? I've promised myself ill wait till due as its not like I haven't waited an eternity already.

Sending a far away hello to vix. Malaysia sounds amazing. Tad jealous.

Bloumermaid Fri 06-Sep-13 07:30:13

Today is 14dpo so I dutifully POAS and BFN.

Every time I do it I'm convinced that's what I'll see, but it's still really disappointing!

I know everyone says it's not over til AF shows up, but that could be ages for me as my body is still settling down post-pill.

So frustrating! Had spotting last weekend at 8&9dpo, but it was red on the first day - could I have conceived but failed to implant? Surely that would have been much heavier?

Frankly ladies, wtf? sad

mama31 Fri 06-Sep-13 07:38:26

What date did you come off the pill bloumer? Have you had an af since coming off yet?

Onefunkymama that's good news...we can compare notes with the opks! Lol

mama31 Fri 06-Sep-13 07:39:31

And I'm sorry for your bfn bloumer...hugs

blamber Fri 06-Sep-13 07:56:40

I'm off the bus. AF arrived a week early. This is the second cycle coming off the pill and the second cycle lp was too short. In my fertility book it says its common to have a short lp for the first one or two cycles after stopping the pill, so I'm going to give it one more cycle and if it hasn't improved I'm off to the doc.

mama31 Fri 06-Sep-13 08:07:47

Sorry Blamber! I'm in the exact same boat as you....so frustrating! Mine was 23 days! What was your cycle and lp?? If your cycle is short you can stay on the bus with us still! I got a 2nd shot at sept bus with my 23 day cycle, bfp was due 7th now due 28th! (But like you I'm hoping for a longer cycle this time. Hugs!

Bloumermaid Fri 06-Sep-13 08:08:28

Sorry to hear that blamber. [Flowers] Thanks for the useful info about a short LP being normal post-pill, will look out for it - I think some other ladies have found that too.

mama I came off the pill on 1st April and no AF since. Pfft!

Bloumermaid Fri 06-Sep-13 08:09:12

Sorry blamber, meant flowers

wispaxmas Fri 06-Sep-13 08:19:34

Sorry for the bfn bloumer, and sorry about AF blamber! Great attitude about it, though, but having listened to the chat on here i think it might be worth giving b6 a try even before seeing your gp.

Ill be doing my very first OPK today, though expecting (hoping) to get a negative until Monday or Tuesday next week. We've already messed up smep, but in a too much too early kind of way! shock tmi? I don't want H to burn out, but it's lovely to see him so hung ho about project bubba.

Oh no blamber shock hope all ok. Good luck for your next try x

Bloumer, it ain't over yet!

Nottalotta, work sounds a nightmare, sorry you're having a shit time hmm

Purple, hope you're better now.

Question for you. Having pains on left side like mild stitch like. I'm due ov today according to FF, so assuming I am ov. Is that it now with regards sex? What I mean is, if we had sex now, I assume those spermies will be too late and whatever is in there already is what's going to count. Or should we just carry on? So confused!

mama31 Fri 06-Sep-13 08:52:55

Awh bloumer that's so annoying! Since april!!! What pill were u on (I may have asked you this before..lost with so much chat now) my af came 3 wks after I stopped the pill but now seems I have a short cycle! Hope your cycle sorts itself soon, was that spotting the first u had seen since coming off the pill? Have u used opks?

Good luck with the opk wispa!

Choccy carry on there! Get bk to it!! Seems those bfp's so far were from those who have worked hard at it and dtd constant so keep doing it!!

Ipsumlorem Fri 06-Sep-13 09:07:45

<hops on new bus and takes a seat at the back> Can I be added to the list please ladies? smile

blamber I came off the pill 2 years ago and it took 3 cycles for them to become my regular 28 day cycle again so it may just take a bit more time? Mind you the first cycle we ttc in last year af came early by about 4 days - which is really unusual for me now. I think maybe I got so over excited and stressed (natural worrier!) it messed it up so I'm trying to avoid that this time! smile

Sorry about the bfn bloumermaid - fingers crossed af doesn't show still.

I started with the opks last night - I got a faint line below the test line but one side of the line was darker iykwim - I miscounted and yesterday was actually only cd 8. I'm going to do another one tonight but could the slightly darker side maybe indicate that the LH surge is coming? Guess I'll find out soon if I keep poas wink I'm curious to know if ovulation happens earlier than I thought to be honest - it may well explain the bfns last time we tried.....

We dtd anyway mama wink

internationallove985 Fri 06-Sep-13 10:12:11

I'm back on board after a horrendos A.F which is still slightly present. Still going to D.T.D later on A.F or no A.F. Been feeling very down and emotional this past week but feeling much more positive, now. A.F is next due on 28 Sept so if she stays away I'll be testing around then. Seems ages away. xxx

blamber Fri 06-Sep-13 10:26:52

Thanks everyone. I stopped the pill in April, then had my first period in August, only 8 days after I first ovulated. This cycle I ovulated a week late, because of the stress of a job interview, but AF was again just 8 days later. Hopefully this cycle will be better.

gillywillywoo Fri 06-Sep-13 10:39:33

FLIPPIN eck!
This thread is filling up already!!! grin

Finds a seat next to Disney thanks

Toffeecrispyum Fri 06-Sep-13 11:02:51

Ok I have had Internet for a couple of days and has taken me hours to catch up!!
Am really confused about my cycle no real clue what day I am on if I ovulated blah blah but my boobs are swelling and am now leaking a teeny bit of milk has this happened anyone???Did a test BFN wtf is going on help!

God my back is killing me! Not kidney area, but higher up, very odd! Tummy also aching hmm

flame40s Fri 06-Sep-13 12:25:33

Congratulations Hendricks so pleased for you.

Well I finally caved in and tested yesterday and got a bfn. Then the old witch caught me about an hour later!!

So thats me off the bus as next bfp is 3rd October. Ive learned so much though, my luteal phase lasts exactly 14 days, I have a 26 day cycle, temping is the most reliable way to check ovulation (my digital thermometer was from superdrug cost 7.99) and dont associate everything as a sign of bfp!!!

If you are gassy you prob ate to much beans!!!

So my oh took me out last night and we got mashed on mohitos and ate the best seafood paella ever!!

mama31 Fri 06-Sep-13 13:02:08

Sorry to hear that flame40's but sounds like you had a great night anyway! Good for you!!!

Well my opks arrived....and despite having af and because I appear to be a poas addict....yes I did I poas with opks....just coz I never used them before! Lol I am officially a crazy crazy lady! :/

So sorry flames hmm x

Just reading about SMEP and it seems we have been doing that anyway grin

internationallove985 Fri 06-Sep-13 13:26:19

Just googled it. Sperm meets the egg plan. What other plan can you have besides D.T.D. xx

keepswimming1 Fri 06-Sep-13 13:32:14

hey choccywoccy - I also get pains around ovulation which normally last 7 days. I think I roughly ovulate on day 5 of the pains - good luck smile

keepswimming1 Fri 06-Sep-13 13:33:49

Mama - I think you might be a tad crazy lol.

keepswimming1 Fri 06-Sep-13 13:36:15

I think we all get a little crazy sometimes - I peed on one to see if I was upduffed lol

I did an opk this morning and it was still positive, just done another and the line is a lot more faint, so I assume my surge is decreasing?

Lol international.

Keepswimming, it was predicted I ov'd today as am on cd17 and had a positive opk yesterday, I can't keep up with all this, we just had lots of sex last time ha ha!

internationallove985 Fri 06-Sep-13 14:16:40

Hi choccywoccydodah. International is grumpy. A.f has returned. I wish she'd piss off. However I'm still D.T.D later on, she's not ruining my fun. x

PurpleGeekyGirl Fri 06-Sep-13 15:07:00

Thanks for hugs re work situ guys. Am a lot better now but shocked at how bad I got last year, and how long it took me to get better too.

mama all our partners have supersperm natch. I have had bloods however that tell us I am working as I should. He's happy to have his sperms tested which is the next step. I hope they are indeed super and we just need to relax and chill out and wait for it to happen.

Got a big fat O on my CB this morning, which is ace for cd5 as it means I should be on for a cycle longer than 17 days this time. And am trying to remember to take my vits everyday... I liked the seven seas conception ones as they looked like the pill and had a day marked next to each one so it was harder to forget. At least they aren't turning my pee too bright yellow tho from the B vits in them lol.

mama31 Fri 06-Sep-13 15:26:08

Keepswimming I am a tad crazy..I just wanted to try them out lol

Af is horrendous can't wait til it departs and I can get back to the fun stuff ;) I am however feeling more sane (yes this is me sane..lol) now that 2ww is over and I can happily indulge with wine and other treats this wkend smile

Have a great wkend everyone!

keepswimming1 Fri 06-Sep-13 15:54:00

choccy I cant keep up either smile

Mama - my af is also horrendous, I'm getting so stressy over the most stupid things lol good job hubby is away smile

lucyfluff Fri 06-Sep-13 16:07:22

My AF was horrendous too mama and keepswimming...maybe its worse after coming off contraceptive?! Anyway ita finally pissed off so we can get at it tonight yay....Im not going with opks yet just going to try every other day and see how this cycle goes.

Have a great wkend everyone smile

PurpleGeekyGirl Fri 06-Sep-13 16:17:33

My af was awful too. Must be the change in seasons...

keepswimming1 Fri 06-Sep-13 16:44:48

Is there anything to take to help me relax a bit, does anyone know (thats legal)lol smile

Nottalotta Fri 06-Sep-13 17:02:18

Keepswimming......wine! Certainly helps me relax.

TFIFriday!! Woo hoo and my dtd mission starts! Yey!

Purple - i have those seven seas ones too, much easier to remember. Need to get some more so looking out for a special offer.

SuzB83 Fri 06-Sep-13 17:14:08

notta if you're near a Sainsbury's they have 3 for 2 on vitamins, I got 3 packs of the seven seas vits for £10

Well, done another opk and line fainter still. Got that god awful metallic taste again, it's like I'm chewing on a spoon!

What are we doing this weekend? Apart from the obvious wink

SkylerRose Fri 06-Sep-13 17:27:22

SkylarRose ttc#1 cycle 3 (finally in 6 months of ttc)
Been to docs this morn and she's sending dh off for tests then referring us to specialist for fertility treatment . Feel happy we might actually get somewhere soon. Been so busy with work and depressed about friends getting pregnant without even trying I've been staying away from here hmm

Nottalotta Fri 06-Sep-13 17:30:22

Hi and welcome Skylar.

Thanks suz i will pop in and top up.

This weekend i will mostly be drinking wine and shagging!

keepswimming1 Fri 06-Sep-13 17:36:00

Nottalotta - I'm home all weekend on me todd so I'd feel like a bit of a dope drinking alone.

I think I will be doing lots of house work this weekend and just chilling out mayb with a big bar of chocolate smile

PurpleGeekyGirl Fri 06-Sep-13 18:04:14

Will pop into sainsburys and stock up!

Having a chilled weekend here. Ds has an eye test tomorrow pm so maybe a walk in the morning and then slobbing about. Sunday will be another quiet day with some baking and lots of telly!

onefunkymama Fri 06-Sep-13 18:04:34

Bus no 3 !
Just got my OPKs through the post and, even though I'm on the 2ww I could not resist having a go. Neg of course! Feeling a bit crampy (unusual for me) nauseous (only every month since we started TTC) and big boobies (normal). Trying not to symptom spot as we DTD on the wrong dates (I think) this month. Frustrating not being sure when AF is due as I'm normally very regular.

onelifeonechance Fri 06-Sep-13 18:04:52

Hey ladies, i'm currently stuck in traffic on the M5 on our way to Devon for our anniversary weekend, hoping for lots of long lieins&dtdeeding opportunities!! Happy weekend all, don't chat too much or I'll never catch up when i'm back grin

lucyfluff Fri 06-Sep-13 18:04:56

Anyone reading this thread would think what a bunch of sex addicted alcoholics ;)

Now I want some vino will add that to tmrws shop!

onefunkymama Fri 06-Sep-13 18:07:54

mama I must crazy too, in 2ww but still used OPK just to see what happened. First time I'd used one so had to know!

onelifeonechance Fri 06-Sep-13 18:08:21

PS Vix i'm so sorry af caught up with you, hugs. get on those holiday cocktails, have fun and make a holiday baby! grin

Nottalotta Fri 06-Sep-13 18:12:51

Lucy - you have to do it while you can!! That applies to dtd and drinking wine.

mama31 Fri 06-Sep-13 18:22:20

Well my dh is working and has been working crazy shifts for the past week and a half- needless to say he is very grumpy :/ I am avoiding him like the plague! Lol

He's at work tonight so my friends will be round for lots of wine and food smile

Dh may sort his grumpiness out before my af leaves and my opks show ovulation- then again he is never grumpy when lots of dtd is on the cards!!

gillywillywoo Fri 06-Sep-13 18:35:34

A lady in work told me she's 16 weeks pregnant today. She got married 16 weeks ago. So... Honeymoon baby.

I wanted to be happy but I'm so jealous and felt so envious when she told me.. That's horrible isnt it sad

She was saying how great it was they only dtd a few times and got pregnant straight away. GREAT.

I got married 4 months before her and still trying and had a chemical last month sad I just wanted to cry!

onelifeonechance Fri 06-Sep-13 18:47:00

Aw Gilly I know how you feel. Same thing happened to a friend of mine and they got pregnant kinda unexpectedly on honeymoon and here's us trying and trying. It's not bad to think like that, it is hard not to feel envious or wonder why it's not happening for us so easily. All I can say is hang in there and well get there. Big hugs to you

mama31 Fri 06-Sep-13 19:05:36

My friend got preggers by mistake on antibiotics!!!! :/ she was devastated at first but now pregnancy has progressed is very happy about it!! But just shows it will happen when the time is right for you whether you like it or not....but doesn't make it any easier for those who are desperate to have a wee bambino!

Despite getting af I am still feeling positive... And determined not to symptom spot this cycle! I was driving myself crazy in the 2ww....I need to chill out!

Gilly think w are now due bfp's same time as well a disney.....let's hope for a triplewhammy!!!! smile

Had a great weekend onelife and happy anniversary. And happy baby making!!
When is it? Ours is Sunday 16 years together/6 years married smile

Have not had!

VJONES1985 Fri 06-Sep-13 19:40:03

Sorry to all the bfns! I've been a bit quiet because I've got nothing going on, really! Have had a faint opk line every single day which has confused me because I don't know whether I've missed ov or not. Still, am on cd11 and we've been dtd every two days since cd6 just to be sure. And from tomorrow, I will be on 75mg of vitamin b6 daily to hopefully lengthen my luteal phase.

leezl Fri 06-Sep-13 19:48:35

Congrats to all the anniversaries!

Nulanoo Fri 06-Sep-13 19:54:25

Sorry to all the ladies who got AF, she's horrid! I might be having her soon though as had a tiny pink spot on the tissue earlier. I've never scrutinised it so much! Also lots of cm does that go with AF too?! I've never paid enough attention in the past!

wispaxmas Fri 06-Sep-13 20:23:58

VJ, I doubt you've missed ov if you're just CD11 and haven't seen a dark line yet. if you're worried you'll miss it you can test twice a day?

Not much to update from me - I did my first opk today simply because SMEP calls for testing from CD10 until you get a positive, and big surprise it was negative. Temps are still very steady at around 35.8-35.85, and H and I have been at it like rabbits, so hopefully it'll stick this month. I've got 2 weddings to attend this weekend WITHOUT him, but will do our best to not miss out, because he might have to go to Paris on Tuesday of all days! CD14!! of 28!! No!! So I've kindly informed him that he has pressing obligations that day and he will be taking the train to Paris in the morning and I'll be picking him up at Ebbsfleet at around 9pm same day so we can still be in for a chance that day grin

VJONES1985 Fri 06-Sep-13 20:27:05

Am vvv worried about my luteal phase - hope it sorts itself out :$

Would like to test twice daily but not practical as I'm at work all day and rushing around so much that I'm bound to forget, ha ha.

getovaryit Fri 06-Sep-13 21:00:47

Hello!! Would you mind if I jumped on board?smile Near the front if poss, I think I might throw up at the back!!!

TTC #1 and unsure of my exact cycle length, but I used CB digital thing this month and after an epic 15 days(YES 15 days!!!!!) of flashing smilies I finally got a fixed on CD23!!! WOOHOO!!!

Sorry to all those who have met the witch already, congrats to the BFPs and good luck to everyone else!!

Not really sure when to test, any suggestions?? I guess that I am about 12 days post my first fixed smilie.

wispaxmas Fri 06-Sep-13 21:09:43

VJ, I hope your luteal phase is longer this month, but try not to worry too much about it, these things take time (hard to hear for all of us impatient women).

wispaxmas Fri 06-Sep-13 21:13:06

Getovaryit (hah, love the name!!), try at 12dpo, but you might get a false neg that early unless you know how long your LP is, so don't worry too much if its bfn.

lulubelle26 Fri 06-Sep-13 21:41:54

Welcome skyler and getovaryit

Nulanoo could that be implantation bleeding? How many dpo are you?

Anybody poas over the weekend? Still too early for me envy

onelifeonechance Fri 06-Sep-13 22:23:42

Omg choccy we are toooooo similar, our anniversary is Sunday too!!! grin Have a fab day and happy baby making to you too

leezl Fri 06-Sep-13 22:25:08

Far too early for me to POAS although since I have 20 Amazon cheapies stashed away it is sooo tempting! C'mon whose turn is it??

wispaxmas Fri 06-Sep-13 22:37:07

Only stick I'm peeing on this weekend are opks, my amazon cheapie hpts will have to wait until the 25th at least! God, it seems an age away. Luckily we're still in the stage of actually doing something about it.

Nulanoo Fri 06-Sep-13 22:42:16

It was the tiniest tiny bit of pink? I'm not really sure to be honest it's my first proper month but I'm on cd27 but had ewcm on a variety of days of my cycle!

jaykay987 Fri 06-Sep-13 23:27:51

I'm only dpo 5. I've got a wedding go to tomorrow so will pa (IC) s - just in case! grin I fully expect a negative (regardless) but read 14.9% of pregnancies get a positive on dpo6 ( though this is probably because they miscalculated their ov date). I'm fairly certain of mine, but will test anyway! grin then I can drink without guilt! grin
I literally look as though my boobs have been pumped up with a bicycle pump! Swollen boobs is not typically an AF or ov sign for me - so fingers crossed they fit in my dress for the wedding tomorrow!

Lol onelife, have fun smile

Night all xx

mama31 Sat 07-Sep-13 01:54:15

Getovaryit!!!!!! Omg!! I love this name! Ha!!!! (Too much...soz) good luck anyways!

Had a fab night with friends hoping for some major bfps asap over this wkend or soon after! Good luck ladies poas soon!x

Had a big temp drop this morning. Feeling miserable. A crazy long and my body is gonna give me a short Luteal phase. Feel the AF coming.
Sorry for feeling so sorry for myself this morning but it just feels like I've wasted 7months of my life trying to get BFP and I just can't do it.

englishteacher78 Sat 07-Sep-13 06:33:06

Well, I've not been so mental about symptom spotting - because all off the symptoms could put down to other things. Anyway, I'm due AF on Tuesday but don't think I'll POAS until she hasn't shown up for a couple of days.
No point in getting stressy it's only cycle 2 of this.

jaykay987 Sat 07-Sep-13 07:13:13

As expected BFN. I won't test again now til DPO 13/CD34. Bring on next weekend!

Anyone (more realistically ) testing today?

Jaykay, are you still going to drink even though you're too early to really know?

I'm just into my 2ww now, going to see a concert next weekend with friends that's been booked since march (ds guardians if anything happens to us), and I just know they'll want to be up to all hours drinking afterwards as we're staying over.
I really don't know what to do as I'm not drinking anyway now were ttc, and we haven't told anyone and won't either. I think the antibiotics thing may have to come out!
I could get away with it if dh went to the bar every time to buy the drinks, but he won't be obviously.

jaykay987 Sat 07-Sep-13 09:03:49

Yes - I've decided to drink.

I won't go mad. But refuse to feel guilty.

I can't realistically put my life on hold for a fortnight every month. Especially when I could be doing this for a year! I've decided - what will be will be! Lots of people do not know they are pregnant this early anyway.

I don't drink very often anymore. Maybe once every 8 weeks? Whenever there's an occasion/event.
So if I am, I am. If it sticks, it sticks.
(Someone please remind me of my current laid back positive approach if the worst is ever to happen!).

Enjoy your concert choccy!

getovaryit Sat 07-Sep-13 09:19:12

Happy weekend everyone! Thanks for the welcomes. I've decided that I'm going to hold off testing until Monday when it will be 15 days post first fixed smilie-if my finger nails hold out that long!!!

Science-don't lose hope, have you tried the vit B6 as it seems to lengthen some peoples LP? Have some cake and brew and remember that it ain't over til AF arrives!

I have a weekend and probably entire week, filled with the joys of having our bathroom replaced!!! God, I just LOVE the prospect of peeing in a bucket!!! (our only bathroom!!!) Anyone got any better plans?

Cupcake1985 Sat 07-Sep-13 09:23:34

sciencegeek so sorry your feeling down this ttc business is so much more rollercoaster like than many of us thought it will be. It will happen when the time is right try the b6 everyone is talking about maybe and if you want you can always see the doctor and check things out for peace of mind thanks

wispaxmas Sat 07-Sep-13 09:56:09

I don't have much to catch up on for the first in in over a week! But still, you lot have made me burn a pancake. I should be focussing on other things, stop making me want to come on MN. And also, where are our morning testers today!?

internationallove985 Sat 07-Sep-13 10:03:51

Pleased to say despite A.F's reluctance to leave last night the deed still went ahead. We only managed it twice though and once this morning. just been to the toilet and A.F appears to on her way out, but I said that yesterday and she came back with a vengence. I'm really confused by this months A.F I was on really heavy from Sat-Thurs. I was starting to settle on Fri morning and later on say late morning or it could have been early afternoon she came back again really heavy. Like I said though fingers crossed she's almost on her way out now. xx
Welcome to getovaryit (brilliant name).xx
Sorry you're feeling down sciencegeek. I know how you're feeling. I did nothing but get emotional this past week. I'm all fine and positive now though. Hope you feel better soon. xx

VJONES1985 Sat 07-Sep-13 10:56:35

Hi all. Am in town, had my nails done and bought my first batch of 100mg vit b6, which I'm gonna start today. It had better lengthen my luteal phase! Am cd12 today so hopefully it will still have an effect. We will see!

internationallove985 Sat 07-Sep-13 11:09:03

Hi Vjones. Glad you're having a positive day. I always do my own nails. I find painting them very theraputic. xxx

VJONES1985 Sat 07-Sep-13 11:09:03

Hi all. Am in town, had my nails done and bought my first batch of 100mg vit b6, which I'm gonna start today. It had better lengthen my luteal phase! Am cd12 today so hopefully it will still have an effect. We will see!

VJONES1985 Sat 07-Sep-13 11:09:46

I would do my own if I was any good but I have the gel polish put on because it lasts two weeks :-)

leezl Sat 07-Sep-13 12:28:38

Yeah! I've been dying for this thread to move onto nails haha! My nail art is what keeps me sane! grin What colour did you go for VJ?

lucyfluff Sat 07-Sep-13 12:47:41

Oooo I love doing my nails too! DH is getting me a shellac kit for my bday soon smile im loving hot pink at the moment.

Mistyautumn Sat 07-Sep-13 14:00:04

Finally got solid smiley today after 6 days of flashy ones. Also had a gut feeling and used IC OPK at 8.30 last night which came up pos. DTD last night and hoping to tonight but I just wondered howling after fixed smiley you normally ov'd xx

Mistyautumn Sat 07-Sep-13 14:01:20

Oh and for those keeping track of weight losses....managed to get 1.5 off today so got my 1.5 stone sticker today. Whoop. Xx

PurpleGeekyGirl Sat 07-Sep-13 14:27:14

Misty it can be anything from 12-48 hours I think. I usually ov 24 hours after a fixed grin

PurpleGeekyGirl Sat 07-Sep-13 14:28:05

Nails?! I'm so not a girl lol!! Can I rave about my new rab softshell tech jacket instead wink

englishteacher78 Sat 07-Sep-13 15:07:36

I'm doing my nails at the moment - green with red tips. I'm running a 10km dressed as Robin Hood tomorrow!!!

Bloumermaid Sat 07-Sep-13 16:09:19

Purple I'm with you. The first thing my sis does when she sees me is inspects my nails and tells me off for how badly I look after them. I'm better with my toenails! Your rab jacket sounds ace btw. I really want one but worried about getting down wet if it rains.

English and a few others mentioned trying not to get worked up about this whole ttc thing - good advice! I'm trying to be a bit more zen about it all. Really not hopeful this time but it's normal for it to take several months. sad

Jaykay - I had my first drink last night for about 6 weeks! A very enjoyable glass of prosecco. Can't remember who, but someone recently posted about a doctor who said drinking was fine in the tww. Life must go on ffs!

Nothing to report really, will POAS tomorrow (16dpo) but pretty sure will be bfn.

englishteacher78 Sat 07-Sep-13 16:22:10

@bloumer - the only way I'm able to stay sane is to focus on my fitness. Which should help with TTC as well.
Win win grin

Cupcake1985 Sat 07-Sep-13 16:29:11

Knock me over with a feather I think I may finally have a positive opk stick. Ever so slightly lighter than control line though so I may wait and do a clear blue tomorrow?? I only have 2 clear blues in the house.

Just dtd this afternoon before DH lest for a night out with his friends. Worried the best day to dtd is tomorrow when DH sperm are hungover and not performing to the best of their ability. Typical he only goes out once in a blue moon as well!

Cupcake1985 Sat 07-Sep-13 16:43:51

I've uploaded pics of my opk stick to my pictures. If anyone has a minute can they give me their opinion on if it's a positive or a nearly positive?

PurpleGeekyGirl Sat 07-Sep-13 17:06:29

Bloumer my toenails are lovely and sparkly. But my fingernails are just short and filed!! Down rabs are fine, I've had one for two years and it even washes well too. This is a lovely purple waterproof and wind proof jacket. I lurve tech kit!!!!!

Cupcake1985 Sat 07-Sep-13 17:21:28

I caved and did a clear blue. It's clearly positive :D I do ovulate after all!

englishteacher78 Sat 07-Sep-13 17:26:04

I'd love some Rab kit. Last time me and DH went to London we spent ages in all the kit shops near Covent Garden. Came out with some North Face and Ronhill running gear - but would have loved to buy loads of lovely walking stuff AND I want to climb on the fake snow at Cotswold Outdoors! grin

mama31 Sat 07-Sep-13 18:07:26

Sorry for your bfn jaykay but prob tested too early! So yes enjoy yourself! I'm determined not to put life on hold until I get my bfp!

Af has practically cleared off already and only on cd4! Very pleased about its departure so celebrated by dtd this aft with dh.....who is surprisingly in better form already ;) amazing!!

I will be starting opks tomorrow I think due to my short cycle last time as don't want to miss it this time! Very exciting stuff....here we go again.......

Cupcake, don't worry, your DHs sperm were made 3 months ago so as long as he hasn't been on the pop too much over the last few months, you should be fine wink

And congrats on the positive opk x

Nulanoo Sat 07-Sep-13 18:17:17

Well she got me! First proper cycle since coming off the pill end of July it was 27 days so at least I know now!fongers crossed for more bfps!

internationallove985 Sat 07-Sep-13 18:18:58

Hi Mama. I didn't even wait for A.F to clear off before D.T.D. I also agree as well that you can't put your life on hold while ttc. xx

Also does anyone else keep having dreams about babies. I've had this dream numerous times about this tiny baby girl about 3lbs she's bot premature just very small. xxx

PurpleGeekyGirl Sat 07-Sep-13 18:26:17

English I spend a lot of time in go outdoors and when I lived in Manchester deansgate was a Mecca!! I love walking and we are pretty serious about it so I think it's worth while investing in. Mountain equipment is my absolute fave but it's soooooo expensive!

mama31 Sat 07-Sep-13 18:30:08

Internationalove af wasn't fully away either but defo on the way out! DH had no complaints anyway he's up for it regardless!! Its me who thinks eugh a bit gross!!

I haven't had any recent dreams but I remember a dream I had a while ago about having a little baby girl and she was so beautiful I was quite disapointed to wake up realising she was not actually there! But my time will come smile and I do have a beautiful 12yr old boy who is just the most perfect man on earth love him to pieces! So I am already extremely blessed smile

mama31 Sat 07-Sep-13 18:43:24

Ok so I did opks 3 days ago when they arrived just to try them out even tho had af lol no 2nd line came up at all which is totally understandable!! So i decided there now to do opk again just to see and this time quite a strong 2nd line came up but it is still slightly lighter than the control line! Does this mean ovulation is approaching or does it mean nothing??

Cupcake1985 Sat 07-Sep-13 18:48:47

Choccy i didnt know that sperm fact thanks i feel more at ease now! I have learnt so much these past couple of months like that feeling of having a stitch randomly during the day is actually me ovulating! grin

englishteacher78 Sat 07-Sep-13 18:56:47

I get the feeling that AF is on her way. Oh well! I'll stay on this bus until she actually shows up!

Bloumermaid Sat 07-Sep-13 18:57:23

Nulanoo so sorry AF got you. What a pain! Have a great big wine

English I work in Covent Garden and totally know what you mean about all the outdoor shops (well actually all the shops in general)! It's hard to be restrained in my lunch break.

I started running a couple of years ago but have been properly going 3 x a week for the past 3 months in prep for ttc. I used to loathe running but I'm totally addicted now! I don't run far yet (3-5k) and must admit I've stopped pushing myself as hard since there's a chance of having conceived, but I plan to keep going as long as poss when I'm pg.

Bloumermaid Sat 07-Sep-13 19:00:25

Can I ask a question of anyone who's had a short LP after coming off the pill - how heavy was AF?

Starting to think my spotting at 8&9 dpo might have been AF (although it seemed way too light for that).

mama31 Sat 07-Sep-13 19:00:33

Me too bloumer! I run 3 times a week and defo have the bug! Love it! But I think I've been less disciplined since ttc coz I keep thinking ill have to stop soon anyway! :/ need to keep motivated until it actually happens!

PurpleGeekyGirl Sat 07-Sep-13 19:03:47

Mama it prob doesn't mean anything. I get a line all month on cheap opks but the line has to be as dark or darker to be +ve. I've also noticed my cb lines get darker as ov approaches.

I didn't stop exercising when pg with ds. I rode my bike (100 miles per week) up to 38 weeks. Exercise is good as it makes you fit for the birth smile

mama31 Sat 07-Sep-13 19:03:50

Bloumer both my af's since coming off have def not lasted long, 1st one was light and only 4 days this ones been here 4 days and looks on its way out now so prob 5 days. I used to have heavy long 7-8 day periods! So could have been ur first af!

Bloumermaid Sat 07-Sep-13 19:39:26

Thanks Mama, that's really helpful - I think you may be right. It also sounds like it's fairly normal to have a short LP after coming off the pill, mine would have been 7 days. I'll start back on the opks today (if that was AF then this would be CD8).

Incidentally I had a medium strength line on an OPK the day before I had the dark line - so yes it could mean that tomorrow will be your LH surge. Get ready to get busy Mama! (Exciting to hear that you run too btw!)

I had a thought today - I started taking pregnacare the week before I started getting hormonal symptoms (after 4months with nada post-pill), so I wonder if it helped kick-start my cycles again?

mama31 Sat 07-Sep-13 19:57:28

Bloumer you might be right! Get the opks going then and keep a close eye!! Hope your cycle gets bk to normal soon! Those pregnacare tabs might be the ticket too!

Yes I'm all prepped now to jump dh in the morning when he gets in from night shift...not that ill have to jump him as knowing him that will be exactly what's on his mind anyway! And we dtd today so if ovulation is coming we are off to a good start. Dh has a day off tomorrow so could be a busy day ;) but will def be fitting in a run tomorrow aft.....its the best exercise ever I'm so glad I started running almost doing 10k now smile

panicmechanic Sat 07-Sep-13 21:01:12

Hi ladies. Also had shellac dark grey done today about the most girlie thing i fo! Ok so Rab or North Face? I need to buy a jacket that I can walk and ski in! Nothing to report here have 10 days until AF/BFP. Started off feeling only positive but have no symptoms and when I have got preggers in the past had loads of things happening. Btw my sister is a gp and also said to be normal in the 2ww like the consultant said. Good luck all xx

mama31 Sat 07-Sep-13 21:40:24

Panic not sure that any of us on here are normal at the best of times never mind in the 2ww hahaha!!

Shellac dark grey sounds nice smile

VJONES1985 Sat 07-Sep-13 21:47:52

Bloumer - my first af off the pill was three days (normal for me) and quite heavy.

VJONES1985 Sat 07-Sep-13 21:49:49

leezl - went for glittery pink nails smile

Nottalotta Sat 07-Sep-13 22:04:44

Evening all. Currently in bed waiting for DH to come up so i can jump his bones... grin

Kind of dtd yesterday but although he delivered the goods, they ended up ...errrm...on the outside shall we say. Was a little miffed tbh but have six or so more days to dtd. He is very relaxed about the whole thing so wouldn't have considered that i might want the goods inside!! So sorry for the TMI!!

Sooooo, relaxed day today. Rode one of the horses and did plenty of horse related stuff. Not much else!

I've had some wine. I will stop drinking when i get a bfp and not before!!

Re dreams - i've had several these last few months. Never in my life before now have i dreamt about pregnancy or babies but its fairly frequent these days!

I don't really do nails. Mine are quite nice and a goid shape and grow well. Clipped about 4mm off earlier, long nails are a hindrence when dealing with horses!

Good luck all morning testers. Lets have another bfp or two!!

Nottalotta Sat 07-Sep-13 22:07:26

Also - running i do in fits and starts. Not much atm as concentrating on exercise classes and riding the horse. Want to have lovely firm core muscles before gettinf upduffed!

mama31 Sat 07-Sep-13 22:14:55

Nottalotta yes make sure he delivers the goods to the right department this time lol just to increase your chances for bfp soon!!!! Whilst all these men seem to think they have supersperm it defo has to go to the right place lol happy babymaking to you both! smile

I'm going to stop running when I get my bfp and do power walking instead and was thinking of doing a yoga class for preggers peeps! Like the sound of that! But trying to keep fitness up at present to prep for birth!

PurpleGeekyGirl Sat 07-Sep-13 22:16:12

Panic both are good brands, go for the one that fits best! I'm a rab whore tho, they do a lovely purple and their sizes fit me like a glove smile

Nottalotta Sat 07-Sep-13 22:31:39

Lol Mama! I surprised myself with my narkiness tbh. I was actually thinking 'what a bloody waste!!' and 'can i scooop it up and somehow post it in?' never bothereed me before, all part of a good and varied sex life, but these days i don't bloody want varied!! Just efficient!!

mama31 Sat 07-Sep-13 22:46:30

Hahaha!! Notta this ttc business turns us in to crazy folk!! Varied sounds great until ttc then it becomes mechanical! Ha!! Ps I hope u didn't scoop it up! Lol

Oh well its a good excuse to get jiggy again.....go for a quickie and get the job done so he's no time to think of depositing elsewhere lol

lucyfluff Sat 07-Sep-13 23:05:46

Thats so funny notta!!! We dtd last night too after a week of AF hanging around I was promised treats and what happened...same as you...deposited in the wrong place.

Apparantly it was build up from being sex starved...REALLY?!!! Needless to say he is making up for it tonight.

internationallove985 Sat 07-Sep-13 23:27:17

Hi mama. Sex is never technical for me as I only get to do it 3 days a week so I'm pretty much always up for it. Looks forward to pouncing on him Wednesday evening (bigsmile) xx

Cupcake1985 Sat 07-Sep-13 23:29:17

Lol notta hope you didn't scoop it up grin today after dtd my DH got up and there was some 'deposit' on his 'baby making part' (haha not sure how to say it in a dignified way) and I actually pointed and said in all seriousness "a bits gone to waste". That was a low moment in my life! Don't think it made DH feel overly sexy and special grin confused

mama31 Sat 07-Sep-13 23:32:55

Lol cupcake!!!!

International does ur man work away? Or how come u only get it 3 times a week? That's how u manage to get so many sessions in such a short time lol

internationallove985 Sat 07-Sep-13 23:39:12

Hi Mama. It's due to working commitments and the fact that we don't live together that our sex life is so scheduled. It may only be 3 days a week but it's a lot more than 3 times a week as we don't only D.T.D once. We certainly make up for not being able to do it every day. Still it's not quantity it's quality. Lol. xxx

Nulanoo Sat 07-Sep-13 23:47:41

Since stopping the pill I've had 2 proper periods and felt rotten on both with terrie back ache! Anyone else had this? What did you do to improve it?

mama31 Sat 07-Sep-13 23:48:35

Awh that must be quite difficult when your not living together. I'm sure you make up for lost time tho!! I hope one day soon you 2 can love together along with your wee bambino of course ;)

Whoops posted twice!

Cupcake1985 Sat 07-Sep-13 23:56:30

Nulanoo I was the same. Came off in April and have awful cramps and backache for 1-2 days for my period now. Not much you can do but take painkillers. I think it's normal but because the pill eases these things we're just not used to it.

englishteacher78 Sun 08-Sep-13 06:20:44

Had a really vivid awful dream last night, and people kept being loud in the street and waking me up, and I've got a race at 10am!

Ha ha, all this sex talk is making me giggle!
Dh asked me to give him a bj in the shower yesterday, while ds was in our room on the ipad so we had a few minutes. I told him that would be such a waste and he should bend me over instead (we have a double shower). He didn't complain wink He did find it odd however that I jumped straight out afterwards, lay on the floor and put my legs up on the wall grin

Only reason I'm not drinking (besides not really drinking anyway) is that I didn't last time and I got pg on second cycle, so I'm trying to do everything the same. Hence I'm drinking decaff everything too. Also a friend of mine didn't stop drinking at all and it took her 2 years 3 months. She is now however pregnant with identical twin boys due 30/12 and shared 2 bottles of wine with me the night before she had a bfp gringrin

englishteacher78 Sun 08-Sep-13 08:05:35

So, as I approach AF's due date (Tuesday) I find my resolve not to be a mentalist weakening. However, I've only got one pregnancy test at the moment so I'm using that as my reasoning to avoid testing before then. Oh, and keeping myself too busy to go to town and buy one! grin

Bloumer Sun 08-Sep-13 08:42:09

Morning all. I have shortened my name!

Good luck with your race today English!

Absent-mindedly went to the loo at 5.30am and forgot to piac! So have no FMU today. Might leave testing til tomorrow since I'm now pretty sure I'll get bfn.

Woke up this morning to period pains, thought I was due Friday but might be on its way early hmm

Only positive is at least we can start trying again sooner if AF is early.....

Nottalotta Sun 08-Sep-13 09:59:09

Keep strong English! Only one more morning then you can poas. I think i am going to wait until AF isn't here before i test.

lucy i wouldn't have minded so much if it was accidental but we'd been at it some time, i was 'satisfied' with the performance when he decided he wanted to, well squirt on the outside! And no, i didn't attempt the scoop......

So sorry for the tmi but glad you all had a laugh!! Didn't manage yesterday after all but did this morning followed by half an hour laying in bed.

Looks another lovely day folks so off to ride the horse
again i think!

Anyone testing today?

Nottalotta Sun 08-Sep-13 10:01:00

choccy is he mad?? BJ while ttc? I am thinking of relegating them to when i have af!! Or at least the full service. grin

PurpleGeekyGirl Sun 08-Sep-13 10:14:40

Notta in our house the full works BJ is only available during af!!! Such a waste at any other time, especially as more than one ejaculation per 24 hours diminishes sperm quality and quantity. DP is thankful I got another O on my cb today as it means a day off before the flashing grin appears from tomorrow.

Writerwannabe83 Sun 08-Sep-13 10:20:47

Only on MN is it acceptable talk about Blow Job etiquette and 'scooping' at 10.00am on a Sunday morning! Haha grin

Nottalotta Sun 08-Sep-13 11:00:32

Its brill though isn't it? Its fantastic to have an outlet. Believe it or not, in RL i am quite private about ttc so love that i can come here and say whatever pops into my head!!

purple glad its not just me then!

ImaginaryHat Sun 08-Sep-13 11:07:59

Hi ladies! Been off mn for a few days while af visiting, was intending to try and stay away in an effort to take a more relaxed approach this month and not think about ttc too much, but couldn't resist popping in. Only read back a couple of pages and have been thoroughly entertained by notta's story and the responses! Don't think I'll be able to resist sticking around! CD 11 for me today and not dtd yet so need to get cracking! Anyone poas today?

ImaginaryHat Sun 08-Sep-13 11:09:47

wispaxmas Sun 08-Sep-13 11:25:53

Uugh, I swear on all that is holy, I am NEVER drinking again. And I have to go to another wedding tonight. H and I had penciled in an appointment for this morning, but I was so gross and miserable I just couldn't get into it. What a waste! And it's prime baby making time, too sad

rockyroller123 Sun 08-Sep-13 11:36:33

Hillarious chat this morning ladies - scooping, bjs and wasted sperm all before lunch! I've been being healthy this morning - biked to the gym done yoga and just waiting for dh to finish swimming so we can bike back.

internationallove985 Sun 08-Sep-13 11:55:07

Anyone Reading this thread would think we were all sex mad, Well they'd be right about me. I am. I'd do it morning noon and night if I could, but I'll have to settle for 3 days a week. Oh well better than nothing. (ha ha).
For me giving B.J's is part of the package. Love giving oral. What women doesn't love bring a man to orgasm. I also don't mind swallowing but I suppose the sperm that I swallow would obviously be better elsewhere.
xx

Writerwannabe83 Sun 08-Sep-13 11:57:06

hmm

Are you a man gatecrashing our thread International? Lmfao! Tbh I'd rather be penetrated over oral any day!

Gingerandcocoa Sun 08-Sep-13 12:04:01

Ladies I'm afraid I'm out for this month, temp plunged this morning and AF showed up a few hours later.

I probably won't be around for a while, I find that these boards feed into my obsession and I can't really live like this - imagine if it takes me a year to conceive, I want to look back at these months and not have wasted them obsessing!!

Good luck to everyone and hope you all get some great news soon!

internationallove985 Sun 08-Sep-13 12:06:01

What does LMFAO mean and I don't need to gate crash any thread I'm as welcome here as the next women whose ttc, and even if I'm not I'll just stay anyway. Also if talking about oral is good enough for you then it's good enough for me. x
Also writer why just the sceptical face to me and no-one else I was not the only one who mentioned B.Js (also sceptical). x

SoMuchFruit Sun 08-Sep-13 12:08:02

Congratulations to those who got their BFP's! smile

I haven't been able to post on here all week as I've been so busy but have had a very cheery morning catching up! Thanks for that, was feeling extremely fed up all of yesterday and until this thread made me laugh.

Am in starting 2nd week of 2WW today - AF due next Sunday/15th. Am trying to act all cool about this but symptom spotting has taken over my life - how does anyone get anything done when 75% of the brain is thinking about what is going on (or not) in my uterus!

Anyone think these 'symptoms' mean anything ?

Random sudden puking attack - so bad I had to pull over on a main rd in the dark to be ill - but wasn't. Just copious amounts of salty/metallic saliva (sorry - tmi) This was 3dpo (egg in tube ?)

Extremely swollen and sore boobs yesterday, stinging sore at the sides and very heavy. This is mostly gone today (the soreness) but they are bigger than usual. Yesterday was 6dpo.

Last night I was STARVING and we had a naughty kebab. I got threequarters the way through my chicken tikka kebab, took a yummy mouthful and <boak> .. literally had to force myself to swallow the mouthful. Mouth was dry and I felt really full/ill. Couldn't eat another thing. Couldn't even face a cup of tea.

This morning weird sharp twinging pains - a bit left of where your appendix would be (I don't have one - taken out years and years ago) Not enough to take anything for but sore enough to register.

See.. am mental. I probably just have wind.envy

Writerwannabe83 Sun 08-Sep-13 12:18:35

international

LMFAO = laughing my fuc*ing ass off!

And my face was only because there is a fine line between women having a joke and a laugh about blow jobs and comments that are a bit, "Do we really need to know that?" Whether a woman chooses to spit or swallow is her own business and I just found it a bit tasteless - no pun intended, haha smile

It means Laugh My Fucking Ass Off International. It's a joke, chill!

internationallove985 Sun 08-Sep-13 12:25:41

Ha ha. . Thanks for letting me know what it meant, writer and choccy.
I realise it was a joke now, must have been having a moment. We're here to support each other certainly not argue. Let's just call it a misunderstanding and move on. x

internationallove985 Sun 08-Sep-13 12:41:20

Hi Sorry to take this thread slightly off topic again, but I've learned lots of acrynems since joining mumsnet. x

onefunkymama Sun 08-Sep-13 12:41:31

Even though this will be baby number 3 for us its the first time we have actually 'tried' (first two babies were first cycle.) Both times I did not realise I was preg until I got BFPs on a hunch. This time, after 5 months trying I "see" symptoms all the blooming time. I wish I could stop trying to see symptoms!

internationallove985 Sun 08-Sep-13 12:48:18

No doubt symptoms are there all the time. One funky mama. It's just that you seem to obsess over them when ttc and I include myself in that as well. If I have sore boobs or notice the smallest change in my body. I start to build my hopes up.
One thing I am very strict with myself about though is make sure I have sex for pleasure and not just do it with the intentions of getting pregnant. As stressing is certainly not going to help. However sometimes not getting stressed like a lot of things in life is easier said that done.
Good luck for your next cycle. xx

onefunkymama Sun 08-Sep-13 12:52:08

Yes I agree sex is for fun too. Its hard not to obsess but I try to do it quietly or it freaks hubby out! Good luck to you too. Think AF is due this week, we'll see....

CoffeeGuzzler Sun 08-Sep-13 12:56:16

Hello hello.

Been off MN for a few days because a friends was staying over at our place between moves...and I didn't want to blow my 'oh no rush for a baby..only been married a year' pretense.

Notta...you made me really lol and that doesn't happen as often as I type it.

7dpo today and no symptoms either way. Also, I am in the camp of 'can't put my life on hold'. I live and work in London...in the very high pressure (and social) advertising industry. Can not realistically shun wine/coffee for ttc that might be for months and months. When I get preggers, I'll buy the Gwyneth Paltrow book on kale 50 ways and hopefully that'll make up for it. smile

Any bfps this weekend?

Nottalotta Sun 08-Sep-13 13:16:31

Glad everyone finds my sex life so amusing! grin

I'm not putting my life on hold either. O am cutting down on wine as was drinking too much for my liking but not giving up.

Nottalotta Sun 08-Sep-13 13:21:51

Oops posted too soon. Undecided about what i will do about riding if when i get preggers one of the horses is a bit of a div. I am very careful anyway so will prob carry on while its comfortable.

onefunky my DH has no idea how planned this whole thing is!

somuchfruit well that certainly sounds promising if a little early? FX they are symptoms. I had utter exhaustion and queasiness on cycle 1 - must have been a virus. I never get like that thouh so was convinced. Ho hum.

Off home for some lunch. I'm hank marvin.

Nottalotta Sun 08-Sep-13 13:24:13

Oh and sorry about your af showing up ginger thats rubbish. I know what you mean about mn feeding the obsession too. Hence my trying to keep it lighthearted but then its easy at this stage of the cycle.

Good luck next time.

Cupcake1985 Sun 08-Sep-13 13:42:31

coffee I literally picked kale up for the first time today (after being fed it as a child put me off for years) but put it back again!. Just googled your joke about gwenyth and wishing I'd bought it! Might counteract the glasses of wine I keep drinking even though I said I would be tea total confused just waiting for my hungover DH to wake up so we can dtd at this most crucial time of the month. Mmmmmm stale beer breath lol

lucyfluff Sun 08-Sep-13 13:56:56

Somuchfruit - that sounds like preggers symptoms to me smile)))

leezl Sun 08-Sep-13 15:58:07

I'm feeling way less obsessed than last cycle... I don't even know when I've ovulated this cycle so we're just DTD every other day regardless.

Okay a big confession from me...

I have never been that interested in sex (shock horror, I know!) so I'm finding TTC really boring now. Luckily I feel that I want a family more than I don't want to have sex, haha!
But reading about some of you doing it more than once a day is so alien to me (okay maybe when I was a teenager I could have related wink) lol!!

Hope everyone's had a lovely weekend. I'm having a day off exercising today (been doing the 30 Day Shred) so I'm feeling very lazy!

Cupcake1985 Sun 08-Sep-13 16:24:06

Leezl you are not alone. My DH couldn't dtd today he blamed it on the hangover and the fact we have dtd too often. Its the worst time of the month to run out of steam. Normally we only dtd one a week or so due to our busy jobs leaving us tired. We're both happy with this. Baby making is fun but we don't mess about we get in and get out and sleep lol.

My friend said the other day her and her dp only dtd once a month or so. Then another friend was shocked at such a lack of dtd. I think everyone is different.

internationallove985 Sun 08-Sep-13 16:30:15

I agree there's no right or wrong in the amount of times each week/month for a couple have sex. Providing your happy then that's fine and As long as you try and fit as much in when you're fertile. I've just Googled my fertile days 17-21 Sept. xx

SoMuchFruit Sun 08-Sep-13 16:32:00

nottalotta - am another rider. Just going to see how if goes if I manage to get prego. Last time I rode until 20wks, quiet enough horse but had a fall (broke my hat!) and that was the end of that. Wasn't the horses' fault either but it scared the crap out of me. This time I think I'd potter until I have a bump but will see how I feel. Horse is not exactly quiet!

lucyfluff - I am like a crazy person with the 'symptoms' .. this afternoon I have heartburn which I don't usually get! I think it's psychosomatic though.. I am convincing myself lol

With DS I was swollen boobed, cranky and a bit sicky from about 2 days before AF was due so..

internationallove985 Sun 08-Sep-13 16:47:00

Ooh crazy moment alert. I wrote down the wrong fertile day. 10- 14 as apposed to 17 -21 Sept. I thought that seemed too late in my cycle. I'll only be seeing him 11th 13th and 14th (am) so I'll have to pounce on him as much as possible on those days. I very much Doubt he'll be complaining. xxx

lucyfluff Sun 08-Sep-13 17:22:20

Lol @ somuchfruit!! Its hars not to symptom spot tho, especially if you feel something new.

I was trying to remember previous symptoms and it was extreme tiredness/sore nips and that was it. But it could all be different this time. Bodies are wierd!!!

I gave myself a talking to last month and defo not poas until AF is late this month!!

internationallove985 Sun 08-Sep-13 17:25:47

We've got a few hours of D.T.D tommorow day. He's just called me to arrange some fun as I'm not back in work till Tuesday and he's not in work till the night, so it's not worth wasting the day. He's getting to mine for 12 as I'm going for a bit of retail therapy in the morning.
Going to D.T.D from 12- 3ish.
So that's a happy day for me. Just as well that we have an extra day as it's almost my fertile period.
I must be the only women who has to book sex into her diary. xx

CoffeeGuzzler Sun 08-Sep-13 17:31:51

Leezle and Cupcake I know what you mean. We usually dtd once a week no thanks dh's very busy job and the spaniels jumping on bed. Tbh I don't mind not going at it every day. When we first started dating, we couldn't keep our hands off each other for about a year. Now it's more kiss boink boink kiss sleep. Though sometimes with the combination of wine and long weekends/ holidays brings the rawr back.

Nottalotta Sun 08-Sep-13 17:36:59

Leezl i have to say, although we do both enjoy sex we rarely dtd more than once or twice a week in nirmality. Maybe 3 but that would be an exception. We have both said recently we'd like to be getting more but life/work/tiredness has a habit of getting in the way. So this month i am aiming for more during the fertile period but i REALLY don't want it to become a chore.

If i am still not up the duff in a few months i will up the ante so to speak.

somuchfruit that is what i worry about. My other two are lively and excitable but generally safe (even if they look crazy) this one tho, is the one i ride most (others are pretty much retired) and is 90% angel and 10% idiot. Went out today, all fine except for a very scary round bale of hay in a field. Which caused much back/ a spin and aleap into the field on the other side of the road. No cars around thankfully.

Everyone i know who has kept riding has had an easy birth. Fingers crossed!!

international have you put your friend in the picture yet? Sounds like things are a bit more settled.

leezl Sun 08-Sep-13 17:48:55

International just out of interest will you be moving in together when you have your baby, or parenting separately? Not a judgement, just genuinely interested! smile

englishteacher78 Sun 08-Sep-13 18:40:48

Wow! I leave you lot alone for a few hours to run 10km and there's loads to catch up on. I'm pretty sure I'll be leaving the bus in a couple of days but you never know.
Got a PB in the race and another medal grin

PurpleGeekyGirl Sun 08-Sep-13 18:56:30

Woohoo well done English gringrin fx af stays away too.

VJONES1985 Sun 08-Sep-13 18:58:02

Well done english! I am a runner as well (three times a week with a friend) but have yet to build up the confidence to race :-(

englishteacher78 Sun 08-Sep-13 19:08:43

Thanks both. I've been running properly about a year and a half, did London Marathon this year and still think I'm too rubbish to do races. DH makes me man up and do it! It's a great exercise even when pregnant as you set the pace yourself. And, apparently, makes for a happier pregnancy and delivery. (Not that I've been reading up on exercise through pregnancy or anything....)

VJONES1985 Sun 08-Sep-13 19:10:51

How can you be too rubbish for races if you're capable of running 26 miles??

englishteacher78 Sun 08-Sep-13 19:29:25

Exactly my point really, none of us are too rubbish. Even if you come last you're beating everyone sat at home! wink

leezl Sun 08-Sep-13 19:43:25

Well done English!!!

onefunkymama Sun 08-Sep-13 20:15:45

I have a gym induction tomorrow and a new pilates class this week. Was pretty good about exercisie until a year ago when we moved. I didn't do much exercise during pregancies 1 and 2 though. Has anyone else been a gym goer during preg, is it a bad idea?

Well done English! Wolf run by chance?
I can't even walk to the end of the bloody road, so unfit considering I used to do athletics and was the fastest girl in warwickshire at one point for 100m grin
I'm not fat or overweight, just very unfit and we've just ordered a Chinese smile

PurpleGeekyGirl Sun 08-Sep-13 20:23:24

I was v fit when pg with ds 11 years ago. All the advice I read/was given was keep up with what you're used to but don't start anything new that's hard or you're not used to it and avoid ab crunches. I wish I was that fit now, am 2 stone heavier and a lot older shock

onefunkymama Sun 08-Sep-13 20:36:17

Yes I figured abs might have to be missed,

Nottalotta Sun 08-Sep-13 20:36:27

Avoid ab crunches???!!! Nooooo!! Surely these help your tummy muscles hold everything in?

I have a real worry that i will be mahoosive. My mum was with her three pregnancys and my sister wa with her two. Mum was full of how fantastic it was whereas sister was sick and tired.

VJONES1985 Sun 08-Sep-13 20:38:16

As a diabetic, I'm likely to have a big baby so I've gotta accept massive-ness, I think sad

PurpleGeekyGirl Sun 08-Sep-13 20:55:42

I put on four stone (had serious cravings for creme eggs, could easily eat 12 in one go!!) but it didn't really show according to other people. And I lost it all afterwards, don't worry too much about it!

Well AF got me this morning two days early. On to cycle 7 I guess then. See some of you (hopefully not too many) later this month on my birthday (October)bus. A BFP finally on my birthday would be lovely but think I'm on the long haul so shan't get my hopes up.

PurpleGeekyGirl Sun 08-Sep-13 21:03:17

Hugs science sorry af got you hmm

Nottalotta Sun 08-Sep-13 21:03:56

Ah sorry sciencegeekgirl but i think that if e are not going to get a bfp its better for af to show up early. Saves a lot of wondering and testing. Better luck next time!!

Not doing too well on the sept bus are we?

Nottalotta Sun 08-Sep-13 21:05:37

purple 12 creme eggs??? Seriously? This scares me. I am abit yoyo weight wise, all or nothing with diet. Really worried i will get super hungry and EAT! If i get preggo.

PurpleGeekyGirl Sun 08-Sep-13 21:19:16

Notta it was insane. Ds loves creme eggs now too lol. It balanced with cravings for mango and OJ too.

Early is definitely better but 9 month late is far better notta

Mistyautumn Sun 08-Sep-13 21:38:49

Well looking at OPK think I ov'd yesterday. Managed to DTD fri night and this afternoon. Was hoping for a bit more but poor DH has had a bit of performance anxiety. Hoping it will be enough. 2ww I am now in your clutches. Please be gentle xx

englishteacher78 Mon 09-Sep-13 05:48:54

My trainer knows I'm TTC and has done loads of research into the current thinking. Which is relatively sensible. Stick to perceived effort of between 6-8 (so no sprint training!), reduce weights, but you can do more reps so getting the same benefit. And adapted ab work. Oh and nothing that might damage bump. So no bench presses in case the bar falls on me! So really, in terms of my training pregnancy is going to be awesome! grin

Nottalotta Mon 09-Sep-13 06:32:38

You are right of course geekgirl .....you see so many people obsessing about when to test, then getting lots of bfn its quite sad. Of course i show no such craziness!! Oh no not me!! grin

purple seriously. I am in awe of your cream egg eating skills.

Nottalotta Mon 09-Sep-13 06:35:00

Goodluck misty i think i am due to ov thurs or fri. Managed to dtd yestetday and will try again today and will try another twice but not sure if we will fit it in!!

PurpleGeekyGirl Mon 09-Sep-13 07:23:13

Woohoo flashing grin and cd8 so a normal cycle hopefully. Will be pouncing on dp when I get back from my first day at work. Bit nervous about that (work, not dtd wink).

Notta sadly I can still eat that many. It's baaaaad!!

Nottalotta Mon 09-Sep-13 07:33:16

Good luck at work purple

So i ov thursday. I won't be dtd every day so when do you lovely ladies think is best - twas done yesterday.

cheesysmile Mon 09-Sep-13 07:42:23

Morning ladies!

I got my first flashing smile today on cd12. How long do people normally have that before it fixes or is there no normal!

Notta think I would go with today, Wed & Thurs. Are you sure you will ov Thursday? Cud just go with Wed / Thurs maybe if you are?

Nottalotta Mon 09-Sep-13 07:57:18

Thanks cheesy and no i'm not sure, just going by averages for my length cycle at this stage.

I have seen people on here have flashy faces for up to 15 days!!! (hence not yet participating....give it a few months and i will surely cave in)

Hope yours is more reliable.

SoMuchFruit Mon 09-Sep-13 08:14:45

12 Creme Eggs !! In one go ? I am awed.

nottalotta - The ones right on the line of sane/nuts are always more fun though grin I have two others also, one is a field ornament/DS rides him occasionally and the other is a 10wk old foal (+mare but she's not mine and when he's weaned she goes back to her owner)

I still am imagining symptoms. Had another sicky moment last night. I hadn't thought of giving up everything entirely during the 2WW (i.e drinking/odd cigarette) but with all these 'signs' I am wondering if I should ?

I am not a heavy drinker but was cold last night after yard jobs so friend and I had a hot port each. And I usually smoke e-cigarettes (the lowest nicotine kind) but I do have the odd proper fag. Especially in weak moments emergencies..

Does everyone else totally abstain or do you just reduce any vices ?

lucyfluff Mon 09-Sep-13 08:28:12

Morning lovely ladies!!!

This morning has been hectic with a capital H!!! Water leak, ds 8th bday, school run!!! Im tired already.

On a positive note I had my psychic reading back....will try and post when on a laptop but its good news smile

jessieagain Mon 09-Sep-13 08:42:25

Hi mind if I join?

I have a 2yo ds and have just started ttc this month. Due to poas on the 20th and getting impatient!

mama31 Mon 09-Sep-13 08:49:48

Wow! Ladies I had quite a bit of catching up to do there and only missed a day!!! Lol chatty bunch!!

Well cd6 for me and according to my 23day cycle (even tho af just finished) I should now be approaching my fertile window. Opks were quite a strong line sat and sun (not just as strong as the control line but almost) so I will do opks this aft and hopefully it will be positive if all goes to plan. DH due home this evening and he has already asked when I'm ovulating as he's more than up for it!!! Lol

We did manage to dtd 3 times over sat and sun....not sure if that will help but its a good start smile with a 23 days cycle it feels like such a whirlwind- straight off af to ovulation and ttc!!! Then 2ww/symptom spotting then af and all over again! Its all happening here no rest for the wicked ;)

Hope you all had a fab wkend! Enjoy your monday also (if that's pos) smile

mama31 Mon 09-Sep-13 08:50:33

Oh and welcome jessie! Roll on 20th for you!!

PurpleGeekyGirl Mon 09-Sep-13 08:50:45

Notta thanks smile
SoMuch I'm not sure it's anything to be proud of ;-) I also ahem smoke sometimes. Not everyday but 2-3 times a week and only one a day. Of course I'll quit as soon as I get a bfp yada yada yada but at the moment I am still indulging.
cheesy on a normal cycle I get 2-3 days of flashing before a fixed but it's been as long as 6 days and as short as 1. Sometimes I go from O to fixed with no flashing but those cycles are generally very short ones where I get ewcm whilst AF is still here sorry for tmi!

Morning ladies!
Purple, now I want sodding crime eggs! I could so eat that many!

Somuchfruit I totally stop everything, but I don't miss it, it's a personal choice to you really.

God I'm sooooooo tired. Word of advice to you ladies when you do have a baby, do not, and I mean do NOT, put your child in a bed! Keep them in a cot period!! And buy a cot bed, not a cot. Ds was the best sleeper ever, we had to wake him at 10am from going to bed at 7pm from 4 months. He outgrew his cot at 17 months as he is so long and tall (were advised to buy a cot as by the time he outgrew it, might aswell put him in a bed-false!)
Since January he's been a nightmare! He does not stay in bed, we get the odd night. The dr even prescribed him a sedative a few weeks ago which worked getting him to sleep, but still up in the night when it wore off. Yawn..........

Jessieagain, we are POAS buddies smile. Welcome to the mad bus!

PurpleGeekyGirl Mon 09-Sep-13 08:53:17

mama it is a whirlwind isn't it! I'm obviously on a longer cycle this month than last and it felt weird having three non fertile days after AF had left rather than just one or two.

Good luck pouncing on your OH. I broke the news to my dp today so he's metaphorically girded his loins in prep for later lol!

PurpleGeekyGirl Mon 09-Sep-13 08:54:19

choccy sorry!!! I bet you could find some if you looked hard enough ;-)

cheesysmile Mon 09-Sep-13 08:59:39

Thanks Notta and Purple, well guess I just keep doing them and hope the flashing ones don't stay too long!

Have a good day everyone smile

Spirael Mon 09-Sep-13 09:21:09

Morning all! I can't believe how fast this bus moves, I'm sure last time I was busing it wasn't this busy! Oh well, it's nice to have lots of people to chatter to. smile

Well, I'm officially on the 2WW now and, naturally, symptom spotting like mad. Unusually for me (when not pregnant) I've had to get up overnight to use the toilet for the last few nights. I also normally love cider, but found the half I had on Saturday night was revolting.

I've also been having a succession of period cramps over the weekend. Possibly implantation? But more likely to be related to the side effects of taking iron tablets...

I'm meant to be testing on the 19th, assuming I have a 26 day cycle as usual. However last cycle was 23 days so I'm currently debating the merits of POAS on the 17th, assuming that AF hasn't got me by then.

I now have 1 x Predictor, 2 x First Response and 2 x CB Digital sitting on the windowsill in my bathroom. grin Asda have a pretty good sale on, if anyone is after tests!

mama31 Mon 09-Sep-13 09:48:02

Oh no! Don't tell me that ill be off to asda for cb digis! Lol not even past ovulation yet! Haha!

Purplegeekygirl I'm just assuming ill have another 23day cycle but no clue really so will play it by ear and really glad I have opks this time as at least I know when to up the anti!!

jessieagain Mon 09-Sep-13 09:55:54

Hi choccy so excited about having a poas buddy! Fingers crossed we make it!

gillywillywoo Mon 09-Sep-13 10:44:03

Morning all. I've been pretty quiet so far this month... Only just approaching my fertile period.

Well... Cd14 today but don't usually get a positive OPK til cd20 so still have a week to go til I ovulate but will start dtd more often from now.....smile

My body is a bit unpredictable and I could ovulate earlier or later... Especially after having a chemical pregnancy last cycle sad

Anyway I hope everyone is well! I went to Paris on Saturday which was great.

Internationallove you need to stop putting kisses on the end of all of your posts... No offence but it almost makes me sick in my mouth and I'm not the only one that feels this way!! grin Please stooopppp! grin

Writerwannabe83 Mon 09-Sep-13 10:49:14

Maybe that's why I have suddenly started being sick all the time, i must have been reading too many of her posts smile

This is a joke by the way International smile

I'm glad you had a nice time in Paris Gilly, I have never been but would love to. Good luck with all your DTD and I hope this month is your month x

panicmechanic Mon 09-Sep-13 11:09:01

Sorry I also am guilty of xxxxx in my posts! Spirael if AF doesn't get me before I will be testing on the 17th - I have no symptoms and my white wine tasted fine on Saturdaysmile.

DisneyDiva87 Mon 09-Sep-13 11:19:34

That's me back smile what have I missed?

Awwww International, just ignore them smile

Lol writer, glad you clarified the joke wink

CoffeeGuzzler Mon 09-Sep-13 11:35:15

Purple I have new respect for you. Own the creme eggs I say! This is from a girl who has been known to polish off an entire family size domino's pizza in half an hour. That's 4000 calories. Oh yeah.

Cheesy There is no normal. Lots of people get textbook 2 flashings. I got 8 flashing smileys before fixed. I know someone who got 12. There'sa whole range.

Somuchfruit still indulging in emergency ciggies. Emergencies come once a week in my life.

Nottalotta Mon 09-Sep-13 11:44:35

Oh and welcome back disney you've missed plenty of sex talk!

snoozysleeper Mon 09-Sep-13 12:05:29

Hi all

Been away for a few days, I hope we're all doing well , been catching up on the thread oooo....err blush ha very frank!

Am a bit worried myself, in 2ww and been having fevers up to 39 sad so not feeling very hopeful any more

DisneyDiva87 Mon 09-Sep-13 12:11:10

I noticed Notta! I had a quick glance through the posts.

jessieagain Mon 09-Sep-13 12:21:26

Oooh gilly we went to Paris a couple of weeks before we conceived ds, was our last child free/bump free holiday!

lucyfluff Mon 09-Sep-13 12:29:38

Oops I'm guilty of xx too!!!!! Lol

Anyway here's my reading would love it to be true with three boys I need to even up the girls in this family!!!
Dear Lucy

Thank you for allowing me to read for you im most grateful, I will now look over your pregnancy path with my spirit guide ashton.

I feel you will be pregnant anytime now and no later than 14 weeks

Im seeing a beautiful baby girl born at 39 weeks plus 1 day of your pregnancy

I can see Vaginal delivery lasting under 4 hours with 34 minutes pushing

Born at 17.02pm on thursday

Weight 6lbs 11oz

She has no feeding or sleeping issues .And sleeps throughout the night.
If any of your reading is unclear please let me know , and of course let me know how you get on.

DisneyDiva87 Mon 09-Sep-13 12:34:36

Wow, I didn't think those kinds of things were so specific!

It will be interesting to see what happens now and if any of it will be correct!

I'm feeling good for this month, hubby and I have DTD last night and the night before (I don't ever remember doing it 2 nights in a row since the 'honeymoon' period when we first got together). Might give him a break tonight, I don't want to put him under anymore pressure, shagfest week hasn't started yet but it is imminent!

Lucy where did you find the person who did the reading?

Just watching finding nemo with ds and the keep on swimming song just came on, made me literally lol!

CoffeeGuzzler Mon 09-Sep-13 12:37:02

Spirit guide Ashton grin

DisneyDiva87 Mon 09-Sep-13 12:39:11

Ha! Choccy on the boat on the way to/from troon-larne the kids play area had a wall painted with Finding Nemo characters, I nearly turned to hubby and starting singing 'Just keep shagging'. Thankfully I caught myself in time!

DisneyDiva87 Mon 09-Sep-13 12:39:30

I keep saying troon but we actually sailed from Cairnryan

Just been looking at my stars, I'm Scorpio, get this (bear in mind I'm due to test 20/9, full moon 19/9)

If you are single, you may meet someone new and intriguing at that point in the month, or you may grow closer to your steady partner or mate. You may also discuss the idea of having a baby, or you may even hear you or your partner is pregnant under this full moon. If you or your partner is already pregnant and coming to term, the baby has a very good chance of being born at this full moon in your house of children, September 19 plus or minus four days. It is also possible that one of the children you already have now will bring you happy news.

Wowsers grin

Here's another one

Health will still need interest, especially in the second part of September 2013. There is no particular risk, but your body will be insecure and there might be excitement. Because of this, you should take proper and secure yourself, and adhere to doctors' guidance. Try to prevent exhaustion, extravagances, poisons and infected diseases!

Getting my hopes up here!

DisneyDiva87 Mon 09-Sep-13 13:00:59

Sounds very promising Choccy where did you get it from?

CoffeeGuzzler Mon 09-Sep-13 13:01:22

I just saw on another long running thread, the chatters have written a few lines about themselves...like favourite food and colour and what they do for a living etc. To remind themselves that they are more than just broody shaggers. smile

DisneyDiva87 Mon 09-Sep-13 13:07:06

Broody shagger suits me fine.

(more Nemo quotes)
I am a mindless baby making machine, sperm are friends not food!

Writerwannabe83 Mon 09-Sep-13 13:07:56

I went to have a massage on April 10th this year and at the end of my session the masseuse sat down and told me she was excited about my aura. She said that from the minute I waked in everything about my essence was screaming BABY and it was a constant vibration she had felt whilst massaging me. I explained I had just got married and me and hubby were thinking of starting a family and she said, "By this time next year you WILL have a baby, I promise you!"

It was really freaky...... But obviously brilliant!!

And another

The full moon on so timber 19th will fall in your fifth house of love, children, sports and recreational activities. The next two weeks may bring a time for you to find love, fall in love or enjoy the company of children. You may hear news of a pregnancy or someone may finally have a baby

Bloody hell! This one is keen.com, the second one was monthlyhoroscopefor2013.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/scorpio-september-2013-horoscope.html. And the first one was www.astrologyzone.com/forecasts/monthly/scorpio_full.php

Writerwannabe83 Mon 09-Sep-13 13:09:15

Lol disney - the bit about sperm not being food made me chuckle. Made me think back to all the BJ banter that was going on yesterday grin

Finding Nemo is one of my dad's favourite films!! grin

Writerwannabe83 Mon 09-Sep-13 13:10:33

Bloody hell choccy - that's a lot of eerie, but good, predictions and thoughts!! Are you feeling excited now?? grin

I the so timber was meant to say September!

Very excited writer!! Roll on the 20th!

Omg writer, that masseuse sounds fab! Lots of baby dust being spread grin

Writerwannabe83 Mon 09-Sep-13 13:17:31

Well the baby is due 31st March so she got it right! I'm almost tempted to email the hotel I was staying in when I had the massage and let her know!!

I know it is quite strange that I still hang around the Buses, but I just love all your optimism and excitement and the general sense of support and friendship. God that sounds cheesy! I find all your TTC attitudes quite infectious really and obviously I love seeing people I was previously on buses with get their BFPs grin

CoffeeGuzzler Mon 09-Sep-13 13:19:13

Aw bless. You are a romantic writer

lucyfluff Mon 09-Sep-13 13:21:09

Hehe oh it made me. Laugh too especially the labour bit, considering all previous have been V quick I hope the next one is under four hours!!

@ choccy it's a lady I follow on Facebook - I'm a sucker for all these psychic things...once paid £55 an hour fr a reading...Iammad.com!

bushprincess Mon 09-Sep-13 13:40:39

Hi notta and somuchfruit also a rider, have de died that will carry on with flatwork while comfortable but no jumping.... but let's see how i feel as the bean starts to grow. Think eve3ryone can only make the decision that's right for them.

DisneyDiva87 Mon 09-Sep-13 14:07:28

speaking of BFPS where are all ours? Where are all the ladies who are supposed to have POAS'd?

DisneyDiva87 Mon 09-Sep-13 14:14:34

There's nothing in Gemini about having babies Choccy I don't believe all that rubbish wink. It didn say in one of them though that I would hear good news in work and although I didn't get the job I interviewed for I am being put forward for more training so the next time I will get it and also was told that I am being supported for promotion by 2 senior managers grin

wispaxmas Mon 09-Sep-13 14:21:04

Hi everyone! I've been busy busy busy with a double bill of weddings all weekend, but missed my first day of EWCM dtd because I was so hung over! Damn! Luckily got a negative opk today when I was worried it would be pos, so should still have a couple days before ov to get busy.

I'm a bit glad I missed the frank sex talk, I'm no prude, but I'm totally of the mind that I don't really want to know everything about you lot, though I do think you're lovely shock

Hope your mondays are going well grin

mama31 Mon 09-Sep-13 14:23:26

Hello ladies!!!! I see you have been chatting a lot again! Lol I can hardly keep up!! But I do try ;)

Ok so a bit confused.....had a 2nd pretty strong line on opks sat and sun and it has completely gone today?!! Does that mean I have ovulated already then over the wkend?? Jeepers af was barey away!!! If so that is very early ovulation but I guess that means a long luteal phase! I'm confused please someone advise me what they think?!

Ps have had a wee laugh at some of the msgs on here recently! We are a funny bunch!!! Lol

englishteacher78 Mon 09-Sep-13 15:42:16

AF due tomorrow or Wednesday. Given that it was two days late last week I'm going to try and wait until Thursday.

jaykay987 Mon 09-Sep-13 16:06:58

Oh Disney don't say that! I was hoping there'd be a really positive Gemini reading! grin

Mama - Im not sure sorry. It might mean you've missed your peak reading. Or it might mean your body didn't quite make it, and so will try again in a day or so. FX it becomes clear soon!

English - that's probably a good idea. I never realised how impatient I was until I have to wait a day or two for ttc related things! smile

So Im on dpo9 today. I have lots of "symptoms". Though I think my brain is in overdrive. My mind has definitely decided this month is the month. We've only been ttc about 10 weeks. It feels like forever! And I realise it is very much early days.

Feel queasy a lot (might be a slight hangover or DHs driving!)
A lot of cramps and backache (might be entirely imaginary )
Boobs have inflated crazily (might be chocolate/too many meals out related)
Really sore nipples (only possible non imaginary symptom though I guess I might be laying funny at night, or might be a reaction to possible weight gain - see prior symptom!)

Trying to hold out as long as I can before doing a proper test. Aiming or Saturday.....might make it to Thursday.

Who's testing next? This bus has been all talk no action this week! grin

jaykay987 Mon 09-Sep-13 16:13:31

Disney - I don't think you read it right. My interpretation is:

"Uranus might carry you a shock on the relationship front side, and it can be a beneficial or a bad one!"

Clearly this is our BFPs!smile

"There'll be energy and feelings variations, you'll have excellent and not-so-good times and you might feel the need for more rest. It's recommended that you try to handle your sources properly, to prevent fatigue."

Clearly our BFPs will bring us first trimester fatigue and exhaustion!

DisneyDiva87 Mon 09-Sep-13 16:39:58

Ah Jaykay! You have this interpretation thing down! I was looking for a blaring *YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE A BABY'. I really hope this is my month, I spent all weekend telling people/family how lovely it is to cuddle a baby but hand it back to the parents when you get bored (I was cuddling a baby at the time)

jaykay987 Mon 09-Sep-13 16:46:09

grin

Nottalotta Mon 09-Sep-13 16:49:45

I do hope that my comments weren't TMI!! They seemed to amuse but don't want to offend! blush

SoMuchFruit Mon 09-Sep-13 16:57:31

grin coffeeguzzler .. once a week or so is normal for total loss of will power emergencies isn't it ?

keepswimming1 Mon 09-Sep-13 16:59:04

Hey guys - hope your ready for my rant!!!

So not sure if you'll remember but I was going to book a holiday for my next fertile window, well my dh has just been told he cant fly home now at least until the 26th sept and as that stands that will be my Ovulation day... how gutted am I. It normally takes a day or 2 to actually get home so he will completely miss the window!!
Why when you think everything is going to plan it all changes....gutted!!! ARGGHHH

So now he wont be around for ovulation until NOVEMBER!!!! is there a December bus on the go sad

I hope the rest of you lovely ladies are having a better day than me! Good luck for anyone poas soon x

SoMuchFruit Mon 09-Sep-13 17:00:56

purplegeekygirl - that's my mantra too .. repeated over and over as I smoke my hidden stash emergency cigbehind the hedge and repeatedly check pockets for Airwaves to surreptitiously chew on way back to the house..

CoffeeGuzzler Mon 09-Sep-13 17:15:06

Keepswimming..aw that's rubbish. Hugs. Why are fertole wondows so small?! cake

keepswimming1 Mon 09-Sep-13 17:55:12

coffee - I do have a normal window, hes just going to miss it. my actual o day will be the 26th, I guess I should hope for a late o day.

I just ate some cookies to cheer myself up. x

coco808 Mon 09-Sep-13 17:56:21

Awww keepswimming I can imagine how frustrating that must be for you!

I'm really down ladies! sad. CD 19 today. Usually ovulate cd 19 (or so I think). Used the cbfm for the first time this month which gave me a peak on cd 17, 18. I thought it was a bit odd. So I've been using the cb ovulation sticks and the boots ones and they both have been giving me a negative!!! I don't know which one to believe and whether I ovulated or not! Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Cupcake glad to know you got positive opk smile

Cupcake1985 Mon 09-Sep-13 18:14:29

Thanks coco. Also noticed I get a pain in my side and bit of an upset stomach / queezy on the day. Once I realised what it meant it all became clear! Do you get anything like that to make it more obvious its happening? Maybe yours was just on the 17/18 this time as people seem to report it changes a bit each month? cake

Also on the non smoking, I stopped before my hols on the 19 July and managed to stay off them. It's so hard I helps if you go away from normal life for a while I think to help break the habit. It's ssssoooo hard!

jaykay987 Mon 09-Sep-13 18:15:48

Sorry Keepswimming. That must be so frustrating.

Coco - not sure what to conclude. CB peak on 17/18 fits well with an expected ovulation date of cd19, given the 12-48 hour window of ov post POAS.
How did you guesstimate cd19? Are you noting other signs?
Did you follow all the instructions of the opks to the letter? (E.g think CB is the only one which should be used with FMU. )

I have found CB to be reliable. I did have some confusion this month, but as I was temping too I could see my interpretation was wrong and CB peaks were right (in retrospect).

Just wondering why you are using three brands of OPK? This month Ive used CB and amazon cheapies, but that's as I plan to switch to reduce costs next month!
