Put on your capes and rub the Unicorn belly aka "my dear, please pour baby gravy on my egg!" - JUST SHAGGING PART 18!

(1000 Posts)
ZingWantsCake Wed 04-Sep-13 21:42:54

Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

The link to Part 17 is here

Happy shagging shaggers!

no grad thread link sorry, can someone else add this please?

<sets up baby glitter delivery service>

it really was a close call, I tell you! I posted the link, clicked on link to see if it worked and the site went off line! shock

I couldn't go back on for 5 mins - I hate it when that happens!
but all is good, glad you like it - I copied pretty much everything that Essie said on previous thread starter post.

I don't know anything about the "grad link" thing though.

links are easy - if you look at full screen on computer just check underneath the "message box" and it is all explained there in the LINKS bit.
it is a bit of a fiddle to start, then copy, paste & link a new thread onto the old one, but it's not hard. smile

ZingWantsCake Wed 04-Sep-13 22:48:11

if anyone's on phone just post your own details, I can copy and paste everyone later.

grin - that's from MrZing's refined vocabulary!

do you want to add your details to roll call?

I think I got everyone?!

Redshoes56 Thu 05-Sep-13 01:42:20

I got a call back from the nurse today but was in a meeting. She didn't leave any info about the semen analysis except to say she'd call me again tomorrow, but did drop a bomb on my voicemail that even though my tubes are open, my uterus is slightly septated. I didn't even know that was a word. It apparently means I am likely doomed or may even need surgery according to Dr. Google (yes, I know, I should wait until the call tomorrow to jump to conclusions!). Nervous.

Viroids, I am having the weirdest ERTD. I got that horrible brown sludge and its The most bloody painful ERTD that kept me up an hour last night. Knew this one would be a killer from the fact since the moment I iced I have cramps. So, off to chemist today, what should I pick up oh knowledgable shaggers?
What's good to kill off the pain, apart from a gun?

ZingWantsCake Thu 05-Sep-13 07:45:55

minion I PMd you

BroodyTroody Thu 05-Sep-13 07:54:05

Minion, when I was younger, I used to use a TENS machine for period pain, but that would only be worth investing in if they're consistently bad.

Nothing worse than dreadful period pain that you can't seem to do anything about hmm

lil1ady Thu 05-Sep-13 08:38:14

morning all

red Lol at FBI. hope u get better news when you speak to the nurse today. try not to worry until you know the facts. Dr goofle thinks he's such a know it all but sometimes he's just a bow tie smile

min only thing I find helps is a hit water bottle but I've been lucky and never had them as bad as you. [hugs]

DulcetMoans Thu 05-Sep-13 09:18:15

Oh no red, what a horrible thing to hear by voicemail without anyone to speak to. Google does bring up the worst though so hopefully the nurse can give you more details.

I just went back and looked at my picture zing, haha. Not sure what it was but I think it's a lady with a head scarf? Maybe she is a dulcetmoaner!

Redshoes56 Thu 05-Sep-13 12:24:56

I can't see most of the pics sadly, except for coffee's coffee!

min feel better. An electric heating pad does wonders.

AQuarkTooFar Thu 05-Sep-13 12:40:50

min hope you are ok, that sounds awful. flowers

In the twot now! Might carry on JSing eod for the fun of it though probably won't be arsed though. Unfortunately if it doesn't happen this month I think we will be taking a wee break from it. Don't want my due date to be on sil wedding day!

DulcetMoans Thu 05-Sep-13 13:56:14

Of course! I can totally see that now. Amazing!! I love it!

I think I am having a squinny day in my head. I want a baby and I want it now! Watching midwife programme until after midnight last night was probably not a good idea.

AQuarkTooFar Thu 05-Sep-13 15:38:40

Thanks Zing!

Dulcet I know the feeling, I watched that programme yesterday and then read some birth stories on here and the sobbed about the fact I am not pregnant! <stomps feet and throws a tantrum>

Curly86 Thu 05-Sep-13 17:13:39

quark dulcet my OH has banned such programmes as I blubber too much! He has put them in the contraband category

I also am twotting --or I would be if I wanted a baby which I totally don't mr Sod if you are listening!

red that totally sucks as an answer machine message and to say she would call again tomorrow does she not understand that you need to prepare a cape etc and be having a baby now!

Gives me some piece of mind, at least - now for the cape tonight! Just glad I'm not working til 10. It's been 5 years to the day that I moved here from Germany, it would be awesome if it was also the day we managed to make a baby!

Redshoes56 Thu 05-Sep-13 22:29:24

Welcome, kitty!

I had just about one of the shittiest days ever today. Back-to-back meetings from 9:30 until 4:30, existing on one yogurt. I did excuse myself to take the call from the nurse. I might have a bicornuate uterus or a septate uterus. Apparently I was supposed to have been given the films at the radiologist, but I did not get them, so I now have to pick them up and deliver them to the RE so she can examine them properly. I'll probably have to have another test to figure out what the deal is. Oh, and maybe surgery. Oh, and DH's morphology is practically 0%. I haven't told him yet sad. Maybe we should just adopt another cat.

DulcetMoans Thu 05-Sep-13 22:34:57

Oh red that is a shit day. How did you cope after the phone call? Hope you have a treat lined up somewhere soon. Perhaps you are too ill for work tomorrow? Sod 'em, focus on you!

lil1ady Fri 06-Sep-13 00:12:23

oh red that's shit. I know its hard but try and stay positive. you are getting answers and that's what matters. the fact u can have surgery to correct it is a good thing and morphology can be treated I believe focus on the good. and I agree with having the day off sick and focusing on you tomorrow. live to work not work to live.

lil1ady Fri 06-Sep-13 00:13:07

oh forgot to say hi to the newbies waves

Redshoes56 Fri 06-Sep-13 01:11:31

Thanks so much ladies - I really did just dump and run before, eh? Sorry! I haven't told many people at all in "real life" about the fact that we're TTC never mind having troubles, so I just needed to vent! I am actually not sure I would have held it together today without popping over here for unconditional support. Thanks a heap thanks!

DH was absolutely wonderful when I got home. He was not thrilled to hear about the results, but really positive and supportive. We had a good laugh and even managed to get the cape on (hey, it only takes ONE!). Behind good old fashioned shagging, we are going to take things one day at a time. Next step is a second semen analysis to make sure the first result was actually accurate. And I am going to request another consult with the doctor so we can sit down and get answers.

I sure would call out sick tomorrow, but I called out sick Tuesday for the HSG so I really am behind and should go in. At least tomorrow is Friday!!!! grin

Hi new Fred friends!

ZingWantsCake Fri 06-Sep-13 10:08:26

Ness just returning the favour! grin

it's been for days and I still have awful cramping. I've run out of nurofen.

I'm drinking lots of water, I think it's helping.
brew first, then sorting clothes!

ZingWantsCake Fri 06-Sep-13 10:08:46

*it's been four days

DulcetMoans Fri 06-Sep-13 11:00:09

Viroids, I am contemplating smiley piss sticks. Talk me down?

Well done on donning cape red, after that kind of a day. Hopefully it made you both feel better. There's alwas hope and the medical professionals will iron out the problems too!

Forgot to say, when I went to the docs on Monday she talked me through conception (I didn't tell her I had learnt most of it from MN anyway!) and told us pretty straight that we don't need to have sex everyday and in fact there is evidence to suggest that decreases sperm usefulness but if you wait three days you miss the egg. Every other day is best. I know we know this but it was nice to hear it from a doctor and even better for DH to hear it from a doctor so he knows im not making it up!

ChubbyKitty Fri 06-Sep-13 11:34:00

Zing my cramps have mostly faded now and hopefully that means it will be over soon.

The last one was 30 days long and the doctor had no idea whyshock

cookielove Fri 06-Sep-13 17:39:25

Hello all. Watching stalking you lot from afar! Just like to keep an eye on you lot. Hoping to see some more bfp's soon.

Slyly marking my spot to wink

I guess some of you won't know me but I miss you lot so I like to come here from time to time.

Zing don't use nurofen its bad for ttc. I think it can make you infertile while on it. Only paracetamol!!

I'm 10+1 (eek)

Alohomora Fri 06-Sep-13 17:42:44

I looked up the neurofen thing and the only caveat is not to take it during the last trimester as it can be bad for the foetus, other than that there don't seem to be problems.

dulcet I'd only do it if you're not sure you're icing at all and struggle to dtd regularly. I'm just glad to know there is actually something going on in my downstairs area and that I can trust my bodies signals, I don't think I could keep the stick-peeing up for longer than 1-2 cycles!

fifi669 Fri 06-Sep-13 19:40:20

Is nurofen ibuprofen? You shouldn't use it in the first or third trimesters....

Alohomora Fri 06-Sep-13 19:45:45

fifi Must be one of those things where the advice is mixed, I definitely read several sources that said only the later months are a problem, first trimester it doesn't pose an issue.

FurryScoob Fri 06-Sep-13 20:13:34

This version of the fred needs a BFP but no one seems to be testing. Who is next??

ZingWantsCake Fri 06-Sep-13 20:46:05

no, you shouldn't use nurofen at while pg or bf. not even Lemsip!

but it's ok for AF cramps as I'm definitely not pg!

Yup zing this is my first grin

The nurofen/ibuprofen def can't have in pregnancy.
The midwife told me that at my appointment.

And if I remember correctly on the leaflet it says it can cause infertility while being used but it will be reversed once stopped.

Curly86 Fri 06-Sep-13 21:03:12

I thought there was a synchro pee this week?

I'm sticking with "I don't want a baby" and am testing on Friday 13th as its supposed to be unlucky and hopefully mr sod will turn up with a BFP!

I thought paracetamol was all you good take while pregnant and all the good stuff was off limits

DulcetMoans Fri 06-Sep-13 21:12:37

I love a synchro pee, when's that??

Loving the law of sod approach curly. I tried that a couple months ago by getting wedding dress and buying theatre tickets for next year. Didn't work but I have faith in you!

Going to meet a 4 day old baby tomorrow. It's going to be tough but hoping his cuteness will help me forget my struggle!

CivicBlue1 Fri 06-Sep-13 21:24:24

Think I've been hampering our chances. Been taking naproxen (v strong NSAID) for over a year. Have stopped now so things should get back on track. I take it codeine (as in cocodamol) will be off limits soon too then?

lil1ady Fri 06-Sep-13 21:52:56

hey ladies. nice to see the lurkers smile

I'd give up all the painkillers for a bfp. not that I ever take any. don't believe in masking what my body is trying to tell me unless its incredibly painful.

having a shit time here generally on RL and AF due tomorrow and I reckon she will show some point this weekend.

Bearfacedchic Fri 06-Sep-13 22:13:11

Red, my lovely, so sorry about the results. As someone already said morphology can be helped though. Is the count okay? Make sure Mr Red wears loose underpants, takes men's conception vitamins with selenium and zinc in, don't have hot baths, showers or saunas, and dont wear tight trousers (pants to you). Eat turkey as it has lots of selenium and tomatoes too. Remember any changes you make will take 3 months to show up on a semen analysis test. I hope this helps.

Red- I'm sure there's things they can do about your uterus too. Try not to worry and do stuff to take your mind off it. Shagging seems great! grin Thinking of you thanks

Hi to everyone else and the newbs too. Welcome!

Bearfacedchic Fri 06-Sep-13 22:14:21

Sorry about the shit time Lil. Sending you thanks and wine

fifi669 Sat 07-Sep-13 00:27:47

Hmmmm I often take ibuprofen for headaches etc... Must stock up on paracetamol... Do you have a link about it?

ChubbyKitty Sat 07-Sep-13 02:42:01

Another one here who loves a couple of ibuprofen for AF and headache and backache..

Nessalina Sat 07-Sep-13 07:35:30

Ibuprofen is a muscle relaxant and several studies have indicated that it can cause early miscarriage after implantation. Basically it's in the same category as booze - best to avoid from any point in the month that you could be upduffed! But if you're surfing the ERTD then I can't imagine it can do any harm. Paracetamol is always fine. Oddly codeine is ok too for serious owches (I asked my Dr coz I take it for migraine) it doesn't harm the potential baby, you just have to take it sparingly especially in last trimester as your baby can be born addicted to it if you take too much shock

ZingWantsCake Sat 07-Sep-13 08:06:45

yes, that's what I thought about nurofen - which is just the brand name, generic ibuprofen has the same amount of active ingredients and much cheaper

thanks about the co- codamol info, I didn't know about it being safe in pg! but I know it is safe after birth and while bf as it was my best friend on many occasions in the early days (mastitis, pain from episiotomy, after pains)

<seeks out left over stash and kisses box>

lil1ady Sat 07-Sep-13 11:53:20

so how's this sod. no AF yet but bfn this morning so dh has ordered a home sperm test - no input from me he just did it! come on sod do your worst!

who was it on here that told us about these home sperm test things?

QuarksInAPearTickle Sat 07-Sep-13 13:40:51

Sorry name changed again! Missed Quark too much!

lil sorry about BFN, cone on law if sod! Wake up!

ZingWantsCake Sat 07-Sep-13 13:41:56

//thanks \\

Bearfacedchic Sat 07-Sep-13 14:40:20

Ibuprofen is not good for asthma either in case any if you are asthmatic.

9dpo here and started to get pink streaky cm and twinges this am so guess I'm out. <dive bombs the pity pool- again>

lil1ady Sat 07-Sep-13 16:07:09

Thanks Quark.

loving the flowery unicorn zibg do you think they have an upduffed unicorn on the grads fred?

sorry its not looking good bear keeping fx that its ib for you though. when's Ur next appointment?

lil1ady Sat 07-Sep-13 16:07:39

whites zibg Lol I obv meant zing!

CivicBlue1 Sat 07-Sep-13 17:30:17

nessa thanks for the info on cocodamol, it's good to know I can still take it when I need it.

Alohomora Sat 07-Sep-13 20:04:00

I'm asthmatic and have never had any issue with ibuprofen, but then I don't take painkillers often - it has to be a really bad headache for me to reach for the pills! So overall I'm not too worried about what I take as it's so rare for it to happen.

Pre-Seed is weird - v.v. sticky stuff and smells like Fenistil burn ointment.

fifi669 Sat 07-Sep-13 20:29:31

I was wondering whether preseed might be a good idea, I can't say I've really noticed EWCM....

Bearfacedchic Sun 08-Sep-13 00:24:31

Aloho, it can worsen asthmatic symptoms for some people and in some cases cause anaphylaxis. Apparently you can also experience a reaction even if you e taken it and never had one in the past. But you're right in that you may not notice if you rarely use painkillers anyway. The warnings are on the info leaflet inside the box of ibuprofen though. My doctor also told me about it. A shame because it works wonders on period pains!

lil- HSG is the next thing for me. I have to wait for Ertd then I can get an appointment for it as it has to be gone on certain days. Then our results will be a good couple of months after.

lil1ady Sun 08-Sep-13 12:24:29

Crickey bear why do you have to wait months? that's outrageous!

well AF showed this morning but I'm OK with it. bit confused that my literal phase seems to alternate between 14 and 15 days though. hey ho, onto cycle 9 we go

how's everyone's weekend?

EssieSaysRelax Sun 08-Sep-13 13:23:04

Phew! Found you all. Sorry I've been awol for a few days, had a wall knocked down at home to make kitchen bigger and its been chaos. We are all coated in dust and no matter how much I clean I can't seem to get rid of it all and more keeps settling when I sit down for 5 seconds.

What have I missed? I read to the end of the last fred - bear your emoticons just came out as squares on my lappy! Sob! Haven't read the first 5 pages on here yet though - any bfps???? We are so due one!

Hope everyone is well. xx

juniper81 Sun 08-Sep-13 14:02:24

welcome juniper! I'll add you to roll call later.

DulcetMoans Sun 08-Sep-13 20:40:39

Sounds like a nightmare essie, home improvement though I guess so will be worth it I hope! No BFPs on this Fred from my memory. Is anyone even testing?! It's a new week so surely someone is.

Welcome juniper!

BroodyTroody Sun 08-Sep-13 22:06:34

Deep breath... Did a test this evening and there's a feint line... Bfp?! grin

QuarksInAPearTickle Sun 08-Sep-13 22:10:41

Sound like it! Congrats broody. Do you have another test to do one with fmu tomorrow morning just to be sure? grin

ZingWantsCake Sun 08-Sep-13 22:11:24

<whispers yay>

do one in the morning. urine is far more concentrated so results are clearer.
then let us know please!
<orders flowers>

cookielove Sun 08-Sep-13 22:11:27

Congratulations broody smile

BroodyTroody Sun 08-Sep-13 22:26:26

Oh my goodness...not really sure what to do with myself!!

Thank you grin

I used a cheapie asda test but have got a first response one for the morning!

DulcetMoans Sun 08-Sep-13 22:50:14

Oh that's something to look forward to in the morning!! Make sure to let us know the details too! How long, did you do anything different etc!

lil1ady Sun 08-Sep-13 23:10:11

contrasts broody about time we had another bfp on here. fx this means its a lucky thread again this time!

lil1ady Sun 08-Sep-13 23:10:48

ugh auto correct! I meant congrats not contrasts!

ChubbyKitty Sun 08-Sep-13 23:38:26

Congrats broodysmile

I think I'm finally back in the game after AF but DP is at work at 6 tomorrow so not tonight. Which is a shame.

Redshoes56 Mon 09-Sep-13 05:07:58

Yippee! Congratulations broody - how exciting! Hope it rubs off on the rest of us grin

Thanks, bear, for the encouragement as always! Mr. Red is starting on more vitamins and I think I'll be feeding him more turkey (you learn something new every day). Sorry you have to wait so long for results.

Welcome juniper! And thanks to anyone who needs 'em...especially as the weekend ends and another work week begins. Groan!

BroodyTroody Mon 09-Sep-13 07:39:43

Just checking in to let you all know the test this morning was definite!
I'll come back later to talk more, unfortunately work is calling! grin

DulcetMoans Mon 09-Sep-13 08:48:26

Ignore the work calls Broody, fill us in!! Congrats to you! Are you going to tell anyone??

In other news, I feel awful. I woke up at 4.30am pretty convinced I was going to be sick. Waiting by the toilet for a while, fell asleep in the hall before eventually returning to bed. Woke up feeling much the same. Can't even face my yoghurt for breakfast and the thought of fish for tea is making me feel even sicker. Worst bit is, don't think it can be anything exciting (read: pregnant) as think i'm only icing now. Don't normally get icing sickness.

I may have convinced myself I have an ectopic pregnancy situation going on but trying to tell myself that's just silly!

ZingWantsCake Mon 09-Sep-13 08:57:19

whoop - whoop!!

Congratulations! yay! !!thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks

ZingWantsCake Mon 09-Sep-13 09:01:09

why do you think it's an ectopic pg?

see your gp for a blood test - that might confirm if you are pg and book and early scan asap. if it's a false alarm you might feel a bit silly - so what?

if you are right (hopefully not, well I mean the ectopic bit!) you need to know and receive the appropriate care!

DulcetMoans Mon 09-Sep-13 09:08:13

Not sure Zing, just when you get something in your mind it's hard to shift! I am sure it's not. Dr Google doesn't help and I probably wouldn't even know what one was if it wasn't for knowing someone that had it once. I probably just ate something I shouldn't or am allergic to work! lol.

EssieSaysRelax Mon 09-Sep-13 10:11:32

Yay Broody! Congrats! Thank you for restoring the bfp balance! Looking forward to hearing more details!

Dulcet, sorry to hear about your awful night, poor you. Would an ectopic show on a hpt? (Sorry - don't know much anything about these things)

I am cd15, managed to dtd eod at least since about cd 8. Last night I had a bit of pink mucus (sorry tmi I know). No idea if I'm icing, or it's already happened or not as my cycles are a bit up the spout at the moment for some reason. No idea what it all means. My body is a bit weird.

frogchops Mon 09-Sep-13 11:48:49

Just a quick one to say that a blue tadpole arrived on Tuesday night. smile He is a result of half hearted (bordering on reluctant with my DP) just shaggjng so I have every faith that your bfps are on the way. Tadpole bought with him some baby sprinkles :.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:::.:.: wink

EssieSaysRelax Mon 09-Sep-13 11:55:26

oh wow Frog! Amazing news! Many congratulations to you and Mr Frog. Good to know it does work! xx

DulcetMoans Mon 09-Sep-13 12:00:11

Yay frog!! Hope it's all smiles in your house!

Google seems inconclusive on it showing on HPT essie. Sometimes not. I'm sure it's not that though, just being a hyperchondriac! Something is wrong though. I am not coping well at all! Not good for icing time. Got to feel better for later.

pizzaqueen Mon 09-Sep-13 15:34:08

Congratulations Frog and Broody. fab news!!

On hols so not caught up on all the fred. Think af has caught me...the bitch! Been spotting since yesterday. I'm on cd 28 and 11dpo so thats pretty much the same as last cycle so she's bang on time. Really disappointed but didn't feel like this was 'our month' anyway despite peeing three times an hour yesterday afternoon.

My sil is likely to have her third baby in this cycle. Was convinced I would be pg by the time her baby arrived. Her eldest is same age as my ds so feels a little unfair she's had three in the time we've one she's a bit mad if you ask me 3 under 3.

At least it means I can drink gallons of wine on holiday guilt free grin .

BroodyTroody Mon 09-Sep-13 18:58:32

Evening everyone!

Still trying to get my head around it, thank you for your nice wishes!

Congrats Frog!! thanksthanks

I was so convinced AF would arrive yesterday with cramps galore, but apparently not grin

When I'd been using OPKs before, they indicated I was icing around day 16/17/18 so we were JSing lots at that point, but this month we just enjoyed the bank holiday weekend off together (!) days 13/14/15 and it happened!

I haven't had any symptoms, only thing is my gag reflex was very weak today, but that's it, I kinda only did the test to go through the motions, I'd been waiting for Sunday so tested, iyswim?! I totally didn't expect it at all, in fact we're both a bit shell shocked, rabbits in headlights!

Fx for lots of BFPs! thanksthanksbrew

juniper81 Mon 09-Sep-13 20:11:10

congratulations broody, I do find these OPKs and days thing so interesting!

Commiserations pizzaqueen - enjoy your wine.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

dulcet sorry you're worrying about ectopic...after my own experiences I wonder sometimes why I'm trying again, there's so much to worry about. I hope you're feeling better now.

AuntieMaggie Mon 09-Sep-13 20:22:12

Congratulations Broody and Frog.

I'm away with work all week so no chance to dtd... I think I'm due to ovulate this week too so might be another month down the drain sad

AuntieMaggie Mon 09-Sep-13 20:24:56

Oh and Broody I remember someone saying that you have a better chance if the sperm is there before ovulation as the egg doesn't last long so looks like you timed it right smile

Babymamatobe Mon 09-Sep-13 20:26:12

Hi everyone, mind if I join?

I'm new to mums net, I'm 33, on our 2nd cycle and according to mydays app, should be ovulating on Wednesday so it's all systems go!!

Congrats to broody and frog, you must be so excited!!! :-)

ZingWantsCake Mon 09-Sep-13 20:44:12

congrats *Frog and Broody*thanks thanks

welcome newbies! anyone who is not added to roll call yet please PM me with details of:
-which number of pg you are going for
-TTC since when/which cycle
plus anything else you want to add.

I CBA to read back for details - just PM and I'll add you all tomorrow!smile

(got a fucking cold! got stuck with tissues earlier so the choice was to either stuff some in my knickers quickly so I wouldn't pee myself or sneeze in my hands. I chose the latter.
good thing I was home!grin )

Alohomora Mon 09-Sep-13 20:54:50

dulcet I'm icing today, as in the egg should drop right about now, and I have been feeling awful since yesterday - raised temperature, extreme queasiness, blinding headache, just awful.

How are you supposed to dtd when you feel like used trash?

ZingWantsCake Mon 09-Sep-13 20:58:43

poor you. how indeed?

maybe you could remind yourself "some things don't need to be perfect, but only need to be done!"grin

DulcetMoans Mon 09-Sep-13 21:06:17

Thanks all. Just being a drama queen I am sure. I know the aloho, timing couldn't be worse! I've been in bed since 3.30, just crawled out of my pit. Don't think he will DTD with me if I tried! Lol. I'm not at my most attractive and I am so warm he probably wouldn't cope! Not eaten either so I might faint anyway. What a state!

Alohomora Mon 09-Sep-13 22:04:03

dulcet Do you have any herbal tea in the house? Spearmint/Peppermint or Chamomile tea, not too strongly brewed, and if you feel sick because you haven't eaten try some pretzels or dry toast maybe? It might help to settle your stomach.

Bearfacedchic Mon 09-Sep-13 22:10:49

Woo hoo Trood! Well done!

Yay Frog! So happy for you!

Sorry Auntie that you're having a rough time of it. Hope you get some shagging in soon.

Ertd got me today. sad so HSG it is for me next week it looks like. Really annoyingly I have to provide evidence of my appointment to my employer and the only letter I have says it's a HSG on it. Thought I'd google to see what it comes up with and first page said it was performed for investigating sub-fertility. Great! So work is going to find out when I don't want to tell them. hmm

Sorry, moan over.

Hello to Baby and Juniper- welcome!

Hope you get well are upduffed soon Dulcet.

Hope you feel better soon too Aloho.

ZingWantsCake Mon 09-Sep-13 22:22:17

thanks bear
I don't normally advocate stuff like this, but can you pull a sickie?

I think in this case I would. if possible.

Minion Tue 10-Sep-13 00:33:33

Aww congrats broody, best of luck to you and the little bean. It's nice to have a BFP around.
Congrats frog on the safe arrival.

ERTD still hasn't fucked off. She's hung around for the longest cycle yet. A week so far, she's normally only here for 4 days so I'm pissed at the witch. I just don't know what's going on with me. Dr bastard goofle tells me maybe endometriosis, fibroids or PID, either way it makes conceiving even more difficult, I'm upset.

Redshoes56 Tue 10-Sep-13 05:00:49

Oh my gosh, frog, already?! Congratulations! So pleased for you smile!

minion could just be a random "off" cycle, no? Hang in there thanks.

bear that's crap. I'm with zing, maybe you can just call out sick? I did tell my boss what was with all my random doc appointments, but I have worked at my company for 10 years and I trust her. She's been great. But if you aren't ready to share, you shouldn't have to!

DH's FertilAid vitamins came in the mail today, and the company put a tiny plastic zippy pouch of "baby dust" in the box - little moon and star shaped confetti with a little message of good luck. He thought it very sweet, which I thought was hilarious (but also sweet). Cape: on!

FurryScoob Tue 10-Sep-13 08:17:44

Congrats to Broody & Frog

This unicorn must be really lucky where is it, I need to stroke its belly!

GaryBuseysTeeth Tue 10-Sep-13 09:02:25

Congrats Broody!

Red, sorry for the shite news. Arf at the babydust, how sweet of them.
bear, I'd pull a sicky too.

No ertd for me yet, ds2 is 6wks old (didnt start bf). Dh really wants another but not in our current situation. Remind me to win the lottery this week.

DulcetMoans Tue 10-Sep-13 09:16:18

Feeling much better today which is a relief. Sat with some jasmine tea now aloho, does that count??

I advocate the sickie approach too bear, if possible. It's a very personal thing to be TTC and I would hate to have to share with my boss.

Babydust red. That is pretty cute in a sickingly sweet kind of way!

Dr Goofle should have his medical license revoked minion, don't worry about him. He doesn't know what he's talking about!

Alohomora Tue 10-Sep-13 09:39:55

dulcet Glad to hear you're feeling better - I think any kind of tea that feels comforting to you is great! I'm just a bit of a herbal girl.

red Babydust, haha! Does it come with instructions to strew it over the pillows before you dtd? Might poke you, though....

Well, one more day and I'll be officially in the TWOT. I still feel rubbish today and working until 8 today, wish I could call in sick but we're understaffed and I'd feel really guilty. Not that anyone else ever seems to care!

ZingWantsCake Tue 10-Sep-13 13:35:09

furry here's the unicorn!

ZingWantsCake Tue 10-Sep-13 13:38:06

red aawww at your DH being touched by lovely gesture! that made me well up! bless him!
(can you hug him for me or is that weird? )

Nessalina Tue 10-Sep-13 15:33:09

Congrats Broody! Yay! smile
If it hasn't already been posted THIS is the link to the grads Fred. It's pretty slow moving, so should be that for a while now, lots of time for others to head over too smile
Frustrated on your behalf bear, is there anyway your GP can provide you with a more vague letter to give work? If they're sympathetic they may be able to, it doesn't seem fair that your boss has to know your business!

EssieSaysRelax Tue 10-Sep-13 16:23:07

oh bear that sucks. Can't you blank out the bits you don't want them to see, then you are showing proof, and they must just respect that you aren't comfortable with them knowing your P&C business!

DulcetMoans Tue 10-Sep-13 21:11:48

Midwives on again tonight in UK. Not going to help with annoyance at not being pg yet! Lol.

It's ov time and DTD day though so maybe this month!

Bearfacedchic Tue 10-Sep-13 21:56:47

Hmm. Thing is I'd already told them I would need the time off and roughly when it would be. I now just have to fill in the forms so I can't pull a sickie as they'd know anyway. I think I may call them again and ask for another letter tomorrow. That's a good idea. Thanks guys.

Bearfacedchic Tue 10-Sep-13 21:57:26

Them being the hospital obvs.

Redshoes56 Tue 10-Sep-13 23:31:42

Good luck, bear! I hope that works out for you. What a run-around.

zing I will give him an extra hug but I probably won't tell him it's from a British woman I talk to on the internet about my uterus. grin Yeah, ladies, the "baby dust" was really great. I tucked it away in the bathroom cabinet. Maybe I'll throw it around when we get a BFP. Notice, I said when, not if. Feeling positive today! Gotta stay out of the funk....

FurryScoob Wed 11-Sep-13 08:34:09

Thanks Zing nice to meet the unicorn!

Minion I had the same thing last month ERDT lasted 7days followed by 4 days of spotting, it never seemed to end. Also got a crap diagnosis from Dr Goofle but gonna wait for AF this cycle & if its just as long I'm off to a proper doctor!
Hope it's over for you soon

pizzaqueen Wed 11-Sep-13 08:39:27

welcome furry

minion my af always lasts over a week 3-4 days heavy flow, then it slows down for another few days then another few days spotting. I thought that was normal...is this something else I should go to the doc about? I'm making a list.

FurryScoob Wed 11-Sep-13 09:37:37

Pizza I think everyone's different, if that's normal for you it's probably nothing worry about, it's not normal for me so I scared myself to death with Dr Goofle!

QuarksInAPearTickle Wed 11-Sep-13 13:25:14

Just dropping by to say Congrats Frog!!!! I remember you joining this thread around the same time as me and I can't believe you have a mini tadpole now! All the best to your family! flowers

Hope everyone else is well, I am 1 week away from ERTD/BFP.

EssieSaysRelax Wed 11-Sep-13 13:55:30

Hi everyone.

Thanks. I feel better now. One of my supposed friends, who has always been a bit of a handful is being a total moose and I am so exhausted by her. I just wish I could get my penny crayon pencil case out and erase her! Anyway, I am from this moment on not allowing it to upset me anymore.

JSing has fallen by the wayside the last couple of nights cos DH has a foul cold and I'm afraid I just can't go too close to the snot monster and I definitely don't want to shag him. Poor man.

Hope everyone is having an ok week.

Minion Wed 11-Sep-13 14:17:49

Oh hopefully it's a one off then, could get expensive otherwise!
She's finally packed her bags and flounced off to some other poor unfortunate soul, so I should be getting jiggy with it from now.
Only problem is, will the husband want a threesome or not as I seem to have got a new friend, who won't leave me alone.
Day or night, she's there, making herself known, interrupting my me time, always present but in a different place.
Yesterday morning she's rather annoniyingly moved into the centre of my forehead.
I've never been so spotty!
This month hormones have a shit load to be blamed for.

ZingWantsCake Wed 11-Sep-13 14:18:00

my periods are so weird.
I have 3 days of really heavy bleeding which stops for a day or 2 then restarts with brownish rusty coloured discharge. that normally lasts from 3-5 days.

what is that all about?

and this month was even weirder. I only had proper bleeding for 48 hours then nothing and it came back after 5 days!

it's puzzling and it bothers me. I'm seeing GP tomorrow.

↑ baby glitter! grin
(bloody tiring to type out on phone!)

DulcetMoans Wed 11-Sep-13 18:10:50

Minion - snap! I have a spot that has developed in the middle of my forehead! I had to go to the loos at work this morning to look at it as I just felt it at my desk. Luckily it's not as dark as to be as noticeable as it feels but it's big and I am sure it will be a bugger in a day or so!

I'm probably heading into my TWOT. Does it count as a TWOT if my TWOT is actually like 10 days??

juniper81 Wed 11-Sep-13 18:55:59

dulcet I think the "torture" bit is the operative bit there...no matter how long it lasts!

DulcetMoans Wed 11-Sep-13 20:31:58

It's the right word too juniper! Haha.

DownstairsMixUp Wed 11-Sep-13 20:35:11

Hi guys, I am back, sadly had a blighted ovum and had my erpc yesterday, feeling ok, recovering and def feeling not as obsessive about falling Pg now. How are you all? x

DownstairsMixUp Wed 11-Sep-13 20:35:12

Hi guys, I am back, sadly had a blighted ovum and had my erpc yesterday, feeling ok, recovering and def feeling not as obsessive about falling Pg now. How are you all? x

ZingWantsCake Wed 11-Sep-13 20:55:08

downstairs sad thanks
sorry to hear!

Fox82 Wed 11-Sep-13 21:13:02

Sorry to hear that downstairs thanks I had exactly the same thing and know what mixed emotions it brings. Look after yourself brew

Bearfacedchic Wed 11-Sep-13 22:36:48

Oh Downstairs- I'm so sorry. sad thanks do look after yourself.

So, shaggers, I found out from my research that apparently anything between 2 and 7 days is considered normal for the length of a period. I think though of you've already got kids then there's no need to worry. From mine and my friends' experience though, docs don't seem to be able to tell why some women have longer periods than others. One of my friends had a 28 day period and had hospital tests but they couldn't find out why. My joke of a doctor really helpfully just shrugged her shoulders at me and didnt even offer to investigate. shock I think some women just have longer periods and it's not necessarily anything terrible. I think it's a bit like the 'standard' 30 day cycle/ 14 day luteal phase we're all supposed to have. They do say you should get anything out of the norm checked out though.

Hope everyone is okay. Brrrr- chilly isn't it?

Redshoes56 Thu 12-Sep-13 05:30:55

Very sad to hear that news, Downstairs thankssad

Dulcet TWOT most definitely counts, even if it's 10 days! I am almost glad about my short luteal phase during the TWOT as it means fewer days during which I can obsess.

I am absolutely furious at DH right now. I am bending over backward to make this fertility stuff easy for him, including making an early morning appointment tomorrow to drop off his second sample for semen analysis so he doesn't have to miss any work. This means I am adding an hour to my morning commute, which is already 30-40 minutes, to drive his man juice around town so he doesn't have to. But I don't mind and I certainly didn't complain. So would you believe he gave me a hard time tonight when I reminded him about his task tomorrow? All he has to do is fill a damn cup! Really? All of a sudden he wants to go into work early when all he does normally is bitch about his regular start time? After some heated discussion, he declared that he will do his business "in your cup." MY CUP? Since when is this MY project and MY problem? I know he's super frustrated right now with work and grad school, and is perhaps at his limit, but honestly I could punch him. I guess this is when cavewoman would send her man to the couch, but seeing as he's already snoring up in the bed it seems I'll end up on the couch. Insult, meet injury. angry

Redshoes56 Thu 12-Sep-13 05:33:37

What happened to the sweet man who was throwing literal baby dust around in the kitchen the other night?

OK, I'm done complaining.

Would be reaching for wine if I hadn't already brushed my teeth....

ZingWantsCake Thu 12-Sep-13 06:32:35

oh redthanks

LTB ?grin

DownstairsMixUp Thu 12-Sep-13 09:11:33

Thanks guys, thought I'd say hello, will post back reguarly once the post erpc bleeding stops so i feel a bit more like I'm "in the club" so to speak smile

Minion Thu 12-Sep-13 09:37:48

Hi downstairs
I'm sorry for what your going through and once youre feeling able to, we'll be here waiting with French fancies xxx

ERTD seems to have listened to her mistress and has been beaten into hiding for at least 30 odd days so its back on it. Sadly for me though I'm being shipped off to Cuba in my fertile week so I'll only be able to enjoy humpday the night before I should ice, on the day itself and the morning after as ive also got a wedding to go to.. It only takes once right?
Sigh grumble moan.

But at least the husband is getting on board. Last night out of the blue he asked me why I'd put a pass code on my period app. After looking incredulously at him for a wee moment I asked him if he remembered him telling me he didn't want to know when I was icing the cake so he wouldn't feel too pressured.
Huzzah, he seems to be coming to terms with it now and actually said 'well I want to be ready when you are so I can perform at my best'.
Only took you 9 months love.

ZingWantsCake Thu 12-Sep-13 09:47:00

minion grin @ only took 9 months

EssieSaysRelax Thu 12-Sep-13 12:14:02

flowers Downstairs. I'm so sorry to hear that. We're here for you when you feel up to chatting nonsense. xx

I made that curry last night from the Jamie show earlier this week. YUM! And there is enough left for tonight so I don't have to cook which is a bonus.

Nothing interesting to report, not sure where I am, but probably in the twot, but I have no idea when I iced as no signs. Will have to poas next Weds am because I have my colposcopy appointment (finally) and even though it says its ok to have it done when you are mit bebe they say they do like to know before hand if poss.

DulcetMoans Thu 12-Sep-13 12:52:02

Does pineapple help with implantation?! I just read a comment on another thread that implied it did. I'm off to sainsburys!

Minion - glad he's slowly getting on board. It took a few months for mine to take it seriously and try as appropriate (ie. EOD and in fertile time!) but last week he even came to docs with me so I think he's totally on board now. Takes them longer to realise it might not be as easy as they thought!

pizzaqueen Thu 12-Sep-13 13:59:39

thanks so sorry downstairs. I also had a blighted ovum I June I was 9 weeks but measured 6 with no heartbeat. You will be on a rollercoaster of emotions right now. thanks

Just scaring myself with doc google just now as af was bright orange yesterday, weird!! In process of changing gp but worried about so many cycle related things right now.hmm

DulcetMoans Thu 12-Sep-13 14:10:29

Oh downstairs, I didn't say much before because I wasn't sure I understood what had happened but now I do. So sorry! Hope you're being looked after.

Alohomora Thu 12-Sep-13 18:07:33

Downstairs We'll keep some cake ready for you when you feel ready to come back, big hugs!

Well, I was supposedly icing beginning of the week, we managed to dtd Thursday, Friday, Sunday, Monday and yesterday, so not doing too badly! Will see what happens. Now for TWOT and crazy symptom spotting behaviour.

The whole thing wasn't made easier by lots of house viewings after work, we might have found what we were looking for but can't view it until next Tuesday so it'll be a few more restless nights.

AuntieMaggie Thu 12-Sep-13 18:34:27

Sorry to hear what you're going through downstairs flowers

Well last night I was sick in the night and then this morning brown discharge so who knows what the hell is going on with my body but like zing its not been long since my period.

Did I hear grapefruit helped with conception too dulcet?

fifi669 Thu 12-Sep-13 18:37:22

downstairs sad

CD 10 here, OPKs at the ready, building up to a capeathon....

AuntieMaggie Thu 12-Sep-13 18:55:02

Whats the deal with opks? Are they for one off use like pregnancy tests?

lil1ady Thu 12-Sep-13 18:58:08

downstairs that's utterly shit. take the time you need and come back to us when your ready, or feel free to take over the pity pool! try and focus on something positive, like you know you can conceive. I'm sure you'll catch another egg soon enough and all this will be behind you. hugsthanks

who asked about pineapple.... its the core you need to eat during icing. never tried it myself, I don't eat fruit if I can help it! not heard of grapefruit one tho yuck

ertd has now f'd off so will get back to DTD next week after dh has done his fertility test. had to laugh when I opened the box, reminded me of stuff you had for a school science experiment!

oh and I swear I'm going to punch the next person to ask me if I'm going to have a baby/pregnant! today it was "any news?" whilst hand gesturing a pregnant belly....if I was f*ing pregnant I wouldn't tell you before the scan and by then I'd be shouting it from the rooftops so give me a break and DO ONE WOULD YOU!!!

Rant over, thanks blush

DownstairsMixUp Thu 12-Sep-13 19:56:49

Thanks all, I'll wait untill i test negative on a HPT and I'll be back, maybe a bit quieter than before but I'll be back X

QuarksInAPearTickle Thu 12-Sep-13 21:01:03

Downstairs hugs and flowers for you.

DulcetMoans Thu 12-Sep-13 21:01:17

A little google has told me that pineapple apparently helps implantation so should be eaten in TWOT. Not before ov though as it can create an acidic atmosphere for the spermies. So, I learnt something new today. Nothing about grapefruit though. That can be my next google.

Oh the questions lil, people just don't think. With some people I do debate saying "well actually we have been trying for months" just to see what they say!

Stepawayfromthezebras Thu 12-Sep-13 22:20:22

Zing I've pm'd you with my details - ttc #1 since August - good luck everyone! AF's due in a week, we'd decided we were only going to see what happened if I came off the pill and not have any great expectations but I'm getting broodier and broodier! x

AuntieMaggie Thu 12-Sep-13 22:23:35

Its grapefruit juice - apparently thins the mucus so helps conception. Its also a good source of iron and folate in pregnancy. HOWEVER it messes with some medications so best check that first!

ZingWantsCake Thu 12-Sep-13 22:57:14

got it!smile and fx for you.

I've been feeling so sick all day from this bloody cold I thought "hmmm, what if?"
so I just had to POAS - BFN of course, as expected.

I've hardly eaten, because I feel nauseous soon after and feel just exhausted. today made me doubt if we should TTC.sad
we have got kids already after all, so why push our luck?
I'm worried how I would cope with yet another pg.
sorry, probably sounds an unfair thing to whinge about - the last thing I want is to upset any of you in any way.
but I feel really weird now and a bit down about this.
I can't talk to DH, he is away.

lil1ady Fri 13-Sep-13 00:17:03

zing thanks try not to over think everything and just see how you feel once you get over your cold.

trying to decide if I want a baby enough to eat pineapple core....probably adds pineapple to shopping list

Redshoes56 Fri 13-Sep-13 02:25:44

More hugs for you downstairs - we are here when you are ready! thanksbrewcake

Oh zing girl, I agree with lil - see how you are feeling when you aren't sick. Being ill can play tricks on our minds. And you can whinge all you want, no harm, we all do it!

It is the bromelain in the pineapple core that's apparently good for implantation. I am not sure I can start munching on parts of the pineapple I usually throw away! (I do love pineapple, though.) You can buy it as an extract/vitamin too, I think. Maybe that's better. Wash it down with some pineapple juice smile

lil, aren't people dumb and ridiculous and insensitive? I really just don't understand it. Makes me crazy. Next time, say, "No, but we are just having so much fun practicing - last night we did it in <insert embarrassing location here>!" They'll never ask again grin

Sorry for my late-night rant yesterday. He issued a Big Apology this morning and we had make-up sex of the plastic cup variety this morning. Fingers crossed for better results this time....

Curly86 Fri 13-Sep-13 05:03:13

Sorry downstairs cake to you

I've just caught up with the Fred all 4 pages I'd missed!

Was sure I was in with a good chance this month dtd loads, stayed calm tempted fate didn't use contraband, for the last week I've had to get up for a wee about 4am an then I can't get back to sleep I've also had loads of vivid dreams/nightmares! So I catch and dip when I get up for a pee at 4am and..... BFN its officially I'm probably barren! Have decided that come December me and OH with be debt free except mortgage and so we can have lots of spare money and just be a selfish childless couple with extravagant things :-/

I'm straight in the pity pool we are now giving TTC up until the new year :-/ thanks mr sod for naff all

ZingWantsCake Fri 13-Sep-13 07:21:26

oh curly thanks honey, don't say that you are barren, you don't know for sure.. do you?
(makes space in the pity jacuzzi - too cold for pool now!)

have you been to gp or fertility clinic yet? I don't know what to suggest.
is there really no hope?sad

DownstairsMixUp Fri 13-Sep-13 08:40:12

Aww curly don't say that, give it more time, though I remember the frustration of seeing that BFN, weird now I want to see it!

Hope you're all ok ladies, thanks for the flowers and hugs!

DulcetMoans Fri 13-Sep-13 09:02:46

Sorry to hear that curly, although does sound like no ERTD yet? And you know we like to have hope under she gets here!

I agree with the viroids zing, can't make decisions like that when you feel rubbish. You don't know what to think. Give yourself some recovery time first.

Liking the sound of a pity jaccuzzi but selfishly hoping I don't end up there this month!

I had pineapple yesterday and I have some today. Might not be the core but it's something. I don't mind eating the core anyway. Bit hard but it's alright!

ZingWantsCake Fri 13-Sep-13 09:32:00

pineapple with a sprinkling of salt is delish!
and it stops me from having my mouth getting sore (like from eating walnuts)

and I don't know if the core has more bromelain then flesh, but the flesh does have a fair amount - which is why you can't put pineapples in jelly!
it won't set.
the bromelain breaks down the long chains in the structure that normally form to make the jelly set.

thanks for support, you lot are fab!thanks
I'm going to force myself to make some chicken soup.

DulcetMoans Fri 13-Sep-13 09:44:24

Was it a wedding to attend I think?

Minion Fri 13-Sep-13 09:46:58

Dr Zings science lesson! It's an educational thread this one and I like it!
I hung out with one of my friends who gave birth 3 months ago, yesterday. What an utter joy he was. Very chilled out, babies don't usually like me but this one did, I was amazed. Though to be fair, he'd had his 2nd lot of jabs that day and he was probably very out of it haha,
She said he never sleeps for more than 10 mins a time in the daytime, bloody thing was zonked out.
Said to her she was just trying o garner sympathy haha, she did look tired though poor thing. Her husband isn't being the most helpful at the moment.
It's that which scares the bejesus out of me, the tiredness. I LOVE sleep. Aside from baking it's what I do best. If there was a gold medal in the Olympics for sleeping, I'd win for team GB every time...
Gawd knows what a baby will do to me...

cookielove Fri 13-Sep-13 09:56:06

dulcet the wedding thing was me ..... brother getting married in june in America had to get pregnant before September or give up till the new year.

Unless there are two wedding's hindering people's pregnancy wants. Snap smile

ZingWantsCake Fri 13-Sep-13 10:04:18

grin @ Dr.Zing!

I think prof. Zing would suit me better!wink <puts on fake beard, glasses and lab coat>

I actually have a lab coat!

lil1ady Fri 13-Sep-13 12:22:52

grin prof zing science extrodinaire and mascot of the thread. love it!

I'm thinking I could juice the pineapple core, would that work?

just stocked up on pregnacare for both of us. 3 for 2 in Tesco.

curly it sounds like you may need a gentle hooya? deep breath girl. its shit but we will all get there in time. don't forget there is only a 20% chance each month even if you time everything perfectly. why are you taking a break until new year? hugs to you thanks

ZingWantsCake Fri 13-Sep-13 12:27:28

<searches extensive actual library, wriggles glasses on nose, strokes beard>

AHA! I found the answer in my fantastic book about pineapple cores. of course, where else?!

yes, my dear lil, you may puree or juice thine pineapple core!

in other words, why the fuck not? grin

DulcetMoans Fri 13-Sep-13 13:44:53

Smugly eating my pineapple as I type. Not easy with only two hands!

Knew there was a wedding on here somewhere cookie. Selfish buggers these relatives are!

QuarksInAPearTickle Fri 13-Sep-13 14:02:29

We too shall be giving up the JSing for two months if it doesn't happen this time. Don't want to be popping a sprog out on the day of my SIL wedding!

I have four days to go until ERTD/BFP and im keeping my fingers crossed! Breadsticks are giving me the right gip.....

Alohomora Fri 13-Sep-13 15:11:56

dons her cozzie and joins you all in the pity jacuzzi

curly I'm having the same thing, lots of weeing, tossing and turning with vivid and disturbing dreams, the other night I was only half dozing because I had such a sore boob... I'm not getting my hopes up, it's probably just stress.

My manager is retiring and I know her position will be advertised, I am really torn now about applying - the job environment is a big aggravating and I'm really looking forward to going part time and working freelance from home, but I know I'll get pressure from my mom if I don't. I just don't know what's the right thing to do atm...

DulcetMoans Fri 13-Sep-13 15:44:19

Ok, is anyone a runner on here? Not that i'm a runner as such but I do run. Well jog. Anyway, I have an exercise/cm related question that google isn't proving very helpful for.

alohomora, I am sure you will get lots of different advice about this but here's my opinion - don't go for a job you don't really want. If you get it then you will be stuck doing a job you don't enjoy and if you don't you have had the stress of an application and job internviews for nothing. I have had a few opportunities to move up a grade here but I an not going to do it for a job I know I won't like. I am happy staying where I am being paid ess to do something I don't hate! Also, where the decision won't negatively affect your entitlements, don't let TTC make the decision for you. If an opportunity had come up when I first started, and I wanted it, and I didin't because of TTC then I would have missed out for nothing cos I could have been in the job nearly 18 months without getting pregnant and it wouldn't have matter. (if that makes sense!)

I am actually traumatised. I went to go to the (unisex - nuff said) loo at work and one of the blokes was on the bog and hadn't locked the door and I bowled in needing a wee. Etched onto my retinas now is the image of him on said bog with one hand down his doodah and the other scrolling through his mobile phone. Thank you for that mate! Just what I needed. Yuk.

essie that's hilarious, your poor eyes, but poor guy caught in the act!

Sorry to hear so many of you are in the pity pool. DP and I had a row last night too, se recurrent thing aboyr his temper with DS. Beginning to wonder if bringing a baby into the mix is the right thing, dp is easily stressed out I think he's depressed.

FurryScoob Fri 13-Sep-13 20:36:47

Professor Zing do kiwi fruit have the same effect as pineapple core? They stop jelly setting & there must be some good reason to eat the stupid furry fruit!

AF's due Sunday so sod eating fruit, I'm stocking up on chocolate & vodka smile

ProfessorZing Fri 13-Sep-13 20:50:34

Good evening Viroids, this is your professor is speaking.

I'm allergic to kiwi fruits, therefore they are dead to me.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I must retire to my study, but I'll ensure that my assistant Zing will do some related research and provide you with an answer.

I bought the 2Conception" tablets from the Pregnacare range. I think I'm getting old and run down and some extra vitamins & minerals will do me good.

QuarksInAPearTickle Fri 13-Sep-13 23:05:52

Sorry zing I didn't mean to sound so snappy, ah ttc is just not as simple as I thought it would be.

Maybe law of Sod might be worth a shot!

ZingWantsCake Fri 13-Sep-13 23:12:12

quarks you can be as snappy as you like with me, remember I'm also a mascot, I'm trained for all emergencies! grin

Redshoes56 Sat 14-Sep-13 02:11:41

I'm getting in the pity jacuzzi, too, so scoot over. DH's repeat semen analysis was just as dire as the first. 0 percent morphology. Follow-up consult with the doctor on Sept. 23. I am fairly certain she'll recommend IVF with ICSI, where they inject hand-selected sperm into the egg(s) direct. I'll be relieved once I have final answers and can actually make decisions. Right now I want to scream. There are horrible human beings who leave newborns in dumpsters. Meanwhile, here I am. Here we all are, shagging up a storm and yet suffering with ERTD and the like! [unfair face] wine

DulcetMoans Sat 14-Sep-13 07:22:55

Oh red, sorry to hear that. I guess you are getting closer to answers but still not easy to take. Hope the consultant appointment goes well anyway. Out of interest, how does DH feel about it? Mine has his SA next weekend (ish - need to book it but only want to do it when he's no use to me!) and I do wonder how he will feel if it does come back with issues.

Your two month plan sounds good quark. At least, even though you are having a break, you are doing something proactive towards TTC. Get planning and the 2months will go really quickly!

Curly86 Sat 14-Sep-13 07:40:15

Sorry ladies a hooya is well needed! We're giving up because OH is a prick and doesn't want a baby that's born June, July, August as he says they will be the youngest in the year when they go to school, he has banned dtd, also he's having an op to replace his shoulder and that's a couple of days after we get married so I'm guessing all bets will be off til the new year, still no ERTD here, and boobs have stopped being sore, I think I'm just gona buy another cat :-)

DulcetMoans Sat 14-Sep-13 08:53:56

Oh curly, my DH had that exact same thing last year. Thought being youngest in the year would mean they would struggle - like it's that simple! Plus, I'm an August baby so how bloody rude! Anyway, he has given that up this year. I think that was back when he thought it would be easier to get of than it has proved to be...

fifi669 Sat 14-Sep-13 10:19:14

curly the thought had crossed our mind too, but this TTC business is too hard to be messing about with! The only month we don't want is December as its DS's birthday and obviously Christmas

ZingWantsCake Sat 14-Sep-13 10:55:53

Curly Tell him he has mortally insulted me. (grin )
I was born end of Aug and I'm very smart and confident and won several competitions beating much older kids.
being the youngest in the class is fab.

our 2 oldest are both July, my eldest was year 7 last year and top of his class and both well above average in most subject!

(can I punch him?)

thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks he is BVU!

DownstairsMixUp Sat 14-Sep-13 12:21:25

Defo being unreasonable curly my bro is one of the youngest and got straight as and a* in his gcse's! I was a september born and still did ok, but not as well as him! Means nothing!

Sending big hugs to you redshoes

ZingWantsCake Sat 14-Sep-13 13:10:46

red missed your post blush

so sorry to hear. you are right, completely unfair. sad

it makes my blood boil when people mope about "gender disappointment"!angry
I want to bang their heads against the wall on behalf of all the couples who have had MC or had stillborn babies or neonatal deaths or lost children in any other tragic ways or are infertile or struggling to conceive or whatever....

I want to throw grips at them and scream in their faces that as long as your child is breathing you have nothing to be disappointed about!
stupid miserable idiotic twats!
I am sympathetic towards so many things but that one I will never get despite the fact that I had a 3-day "oh, but I wished for a girl" when DS3 was born, which I later put down to the shock of him being born so quickly I had an adrenaline tsunami that left me shaking for days

rant over

as you were

Stepawayfromthezebras Sat 14-Sep-13 14:11:09

Curly86 I'm another August baby who did well at school - all A's and A*'s - he's being a dope!

Redshoes56 Sat 14-Sep-13 17:42:47

Big hooya to Mr. Curly! I am a June baby and proud of it. Then again, in the States, the age cutoff is somewhere around October/November, so those kid were always the youngest in class. It only mattered in college, when everyone was 18 except for those few fall-birthday kids who were 17 and couldn't get into 18-and-over places. Nothing a fake ID can't fix grin

I'm right with you on that rant, zing!

Alohomora Sat 14-Sep-13 19:11:17

zing DH and I agree that while we'd love a girl we are just as thrilled if we get a wonderful boy or two.

I think it's ok to have a preference, but to actually be disappointed? confused Not ok. I've had aunties say "Oh, I'm glad XY is having a girl, it's much more fun to shop for girl's baby clothes".

ZingWantsCake Sat 14-Sep-13 19:23:15

exactly, preference is normal, and there could be so many reasons!
with DS1 I was hoping for a boy.

but to actually feel and be miserable or even "mourn" for months and years, like your life has ended just because you had yet another of the same is just...I don't know what that is.

EssieSaysRelax Sat 14-Sep-13 19:46:59

Just when I thought I was over the guy on the bog trauma the same frigging thing happened today! With a total randomer in an andy loo at an event! Ffs! What's the matter with me! I'm having bad bog luck!

red sorry to hear your latest. sad how rubbish. The only good thing I can think though is that at least you know now. flowers for you.

zing I'm with you on that rant. Can't even begin to imagine what goes through some people's heads, the long term effect they can have on that child by being disappointed from the moment they turn up in the world is immeasurable.

curly another one here, my DH is an early August baby and got all a's and a degree in economics, my bro is a June baby and got a first degree. Being the youngest in academic year almost seems to be an advantage!?

Viroids. I'm a bit worried. Got brown spotting and its been going on a bit this cycle. Cd20 now. We've jsed pretty much every day bar the odd day which is the first cycle we've managed this, but I've had brown spotting, since about day 10. Not really sure what's going on as its not normal for me. Sorry for tmi. Any words of wisdom before I trot off down the docs for some routine patronising?

Redshoes56 Sat 14-Sep-13 20:04:26

Totally agree aloho. And frankly, I think the boy clothes in the stores the past few years are as cute if not cuter than the girlie outfits!

Alohomora Sat 14-Sep-13 20:32:18

Talking of long term effects, I remember standing in the hallway of our house when I was ten and my dad had come home from the hospital where my mom had given birth to take me to her. Gran came down the stairs and asked "And, what is it?" and he answered "It's a son and heir."

To this day I remember standing there thinking, what am I, chopped liver?

ZingWantsCake Sat 14-Sep-13 22:13:54

aloho sad

ZingWantsCake Sat 14-Sep-13 22:15:50
Alohomora Sat 14-Sep-13 22:17:24

Zing I know! My dad's a right case, anyway, but it still hurt and I remember it.

Whinge. I'm in private parts pain tonight, so I'm not in the bed mood anyway!

lil1ady Sat 14-Sep-13 23:15:05

wow so much to catch up on!

sorry you had more rubbish news red thinking of youthanks

sorry to those having to hold off for a couple of months too. my bff from school is getting married next July so if we don't get pg this month next month would clash with her wedding. I am her maid of honour and I have no intention of stopping TTC. if I get upduffed that month I'll deal with it then. I'd be happy to step down as moh if it meant sod brought me my bfp! Originally I considered stopping but dh and I talked about it and decided not to. i understand how you feel and perhaps I'm selfish, but I think sometimes you have to be. would they put off their dreams for you? my bff wouldn't

the whole youngest in year group is one I thought about too before we were TTC. now I couldn't care less if my bfp was due Xmas day. yeah it would suck but not as much as being bfpless! and pleased to hear the theories on youngest in year group are bollox!

cd7 here. should be starting EOD tomorrow but dh needs to abstain for 3 days had been more the 10 so had to "reset the clock" yesterday! so will have to start after he dies his hft on Monday, grrr!

Bearfacedchic Sat 14-Sep-13 23:55:48

Red- I'm with you all the way and F off to anyone who says, 'Well, life's not fair.' I find only people who have never had any kind of hardship tend to resort to that one. thanks hopefully you can get going with treatment soon though and get your plans underway.

Bearfacedchic Sun 15-Sep-13 00:00:22

Argh- hadn't finished.

Congrats Trood! smile

Some twat has just started letting off fireworks down our road. angry

Personally, I wouldn't put off Ttc and would just buy a bigger/different dress at the time. I don't think that's selfish though. It's so difficult to get upduffed for some of us that I'd take every chance you can. But that's just how I feel about it.

Hope you're all well.

lil1ady Sun 15-Sep-13 09:30:32

why is it my never horny dh is like a randy kid when he isn't allowed to DTD?! I may have to ban sex around icing instead of insisting on it!

DulcetMoans Sun 15-Sep-13 16:34:14

I read a piece of research that followed the amount of tips strippers received over a month. Apparently it was about $40 a night average but over the time she was ovulating it went up to about $70 a night. Men are meant to find us more attractive when ovulating so I can't explain why it's not what happens when we need it too.

AuntieMaggie Sun 15-Sep-13 17:46:49

lil my usually pesky randy won't leave me alone dp is never in the mood these days when he needs to be! how we are going to conceive I don't know!

Curly86 Sun 15-Sep-13 23:53:27

OH is a dick sometimes, I'm sure if we had an "oops" he would be over the moon, OH doesn't have a preference on gender; and to be honest I don't think month you were born in has anything to do with intelligence that's comes from home and nurturing

EssieSaysRelax Mon 16-Sep-13 09:09:49

On the topic of pausing ttc due to weddings etc. I'm with bear and I don't think I'd stop either. My best friend was meant to be my bmaid and got upduff and had her baby 4 days before my wedding, she still made it to the wedding too! grin Mil and Fil have just booked us all a family hol next July so all being well I'll be upduff in the next few weeks which will coincide nicely. <welcomes law of sod to strike me at any time>

I've got my colposcopy on Weds am, the one which has been put off about 20 times this year because of various balls ups. Absolutely terrified about it and trying to put on a brave face is exhausting isn't it.

Whats everyone up to this week? Anything exciting?

EssieSaysRelax Mon 16-Sep-13 09:13:25

Maggie, my dh and I seem to have gotten into a pattern when he is up for it when I'm not and vice versa. V annoying, though this cycle we have done better. He also seems to manage to pick up sporting injuries, or be away with work whenever I am icing too. None of which is very helpful! He also claims to have absolutely no idea when I am icing and reckons there is no subliminal message thing going on.

lil1ady Mon 16-Sep-13 09:18:15

just hit up Dr goofle to find out what a colposcopy is Essie I would also be terrified. but try and not think about it. I always get myself worked up about my smears and when I get there its like that wasn't worth all the fuss! NHS site says its painless. they also say you could take a paracetamol before but not to take aspirin or ibuprofen...just wanted to share in case u didn't know that.

I'm having my water leak fixed today smile

EssieSaysRelax Mon 16-Sep-13 09:36:39

Thanks Lil, this'll be my 4th colposcopy. I ought to get a badge to sew onto something for this one surely?! I had an abnormal smear 2 years ago and had two rounds of treatment to remove bad cells. This is my follow up to check it worked. Hence why I am petrified cos I'm scared it'll be back. Colp actually doesn't hurt. It's pretty nasty, the injections in the foof are the worst bit but none of it was as bad as I thought even when they burn away the cervix (sorry tmi for anyone eating their shreddies).

Good luck with your water leak! My Mum had a monstor one at the weekend which came through the ceiling through the light fittings. High drama.

SoMuchFruit Mon 16-Sep-13 10:46:59

Hello Ladies,

Thought I would ask on here about frequency of DTD - seemed the best thread to ask on. I am cycle 3 ttc#2 and don't (yet, at least) want to temp/chart or use OPK's.

I have an irregular cycle (27-34 days) and not totally sure when I ovulate. DH & I have a plan of every 2nd day until the days when the calendar says I 'should' be ovulating for all the various cycle lengths then DTD every day.

I've read a million differing views on whether it's better to DTD every day or every 2nd day. Now I am worrying we'll be doing it too much!

What are the 'Only Shagging' views on this - is every day for 3/4 days bad ?

ZingWantsCake Mon 16-Sep-13 11:07:23

morning all. just been to gp about my odd periods

I need to see her again so she can take swabs (double app).
and she is booking me in for an abdominal scan to check there are no cysts or anything else.

hope you are all ok, will read fred back later - gotta go, DD got herself stuck in the dishwasher rack. grin

EssieSaysRelax Mon 16-Sep-13 11:26:52

Hi fruit, welcome!

I'm not really the best person to advise as there are much more knowledgable viroids about who I am sure will be along soon to help. I just wanted to say hi though.

Well done for going to gp zing, hope you get referral soon. Is it wrong to lol at your DD stuck in the dishwasher rack?!! Hope she is ok!

SoMuchFruit Mon 16-Sep-13 11:32:15

Thanks Essie smile Just admitting to the other ttc#2 people (on the other thread) that I think the obsession is getting to me already.. hence the probably insane questioning here. Sorry in advance.

Sorry Zing, I also might have laughed at your poor DD being in the dishwasher rack ..hope she's ok!

SoMuchFruit Mon 16-Sep-13 11:33:11

Essie - just reading about the colposcopy. Blimey. You are brave!

QuarksInAPearTickle Mon 16-Sep-13 12:23:27

Afternoon all!

Essie good luck for your colposcopy, hope your results come back all ok.

Zing hope you have manage to rescue your DD grin!

Welcome Fruit I would personally go for EOD but for no scientific reason. I too have varying cycle lengths but they are mainly 34 days. I start EOD on CD10 and keep going for a couple days after my app says I have ovulated. Don't listen to me though I have done that for the last two months and the ERTD from hell is taking over my body right now!

Don't know if any of you saw my thread on whether to give up ttc this cycle so I didn't have a due date a week before SIL's wedding. Well me and DH have changed our minds and we hare just going to carry on as before. come on law of sod do your worst!

ZingWantsCake Mon 16-Sep-13 12:30:37

oh yes, you should absolutely laugh at that.
I did!grin

EssieSaysRelax Mon 16-Sep-13 13:17:17

My bro lives on a ski resort in Canada and we skyped last night, he wants me and DH to book to go out and ski with him early next year. I said to DH I didn't want to as couldn't justify cost (not to mention I'm a crap skier and they are both really good!), but suggested he went without me, but perhaps I should book it and hope it's another thing to tempt sod and his law? It could get expensive this sod tempting!

Colposcopy really isn't that bad, incase anyone on here ever needs it, though I hope that is never the case. The bit that terrifies me is what they will find. It's silly really, I've had all the treatment and the bad bits removed, but actually I'm more terrified now than I was when they first found the abnormal cells.

As far as frequency of DTD goes though, I agree with Quark and tend to try and do EOD at least from day 10 til a good few days after I think I've ovved. My cycle ranges from 26-33 days so I try to cover all bases. However I am on cycle 11 and it hasn't worked yet, but I'm holding out til cycle 13 before I start getting scientific and let DH do a frigging spreadsheet.

DulcetMoans Mon 16-Sep-13 14:13:43

Essie - I am intrigued to know what would go on the spreadsheet!!

So I had the Internet man round today. Gave me a very helpful slot of 1-6pm making me stranded in my house. He did turn up early which I was grateful for but he cut off the Internet just as I was posting earlier. Worse still... It's not broken and I am TV and Internetless. It's so quiet!

EssieSaysRelax Mon 16-Sep-13 14:45:03

I dread to think, but he is a ssheet geek, you should have seen the one for our wedding and our house purchase! Gah!

Scary how hard it is to live without he internet isn't it!

AuntieMaggie Mon 16-Sep-13 19:53:53

Well after an easy month last month my ovulation symptoms are back in full force... it hurts to walk and my stomach has swollen immensely in the past couple of hours so I look pregnant. I swear if anyone at work asks if I am...

I'm going to go home and insist dp gives it to me (no matter how much it hurts)!

AuntieMaggie Mon 16-Sep-13 19:55:17

Essie I keep trying to keep track oy cycle but I'm failing miserably so may have to try a ss!

QuarksInAPearTickle Mon 16-Sep-13 20:33:17

I do love a spreadsheet, I am the as queen at work, but I have not done a ttc one. Thinks its because I have my app to track it though!

Happy JSing maggie

Hooyas self, googling maternity wedding guest outfits is just mic necessary!

QuarksInAPearTickle Mon 16-Sep-13 20:34:06

Ss queen not as Queen! Oops!

AuntieMaggie Mon 16-Sep-13 21:39:18

I use ss for everything at work too quark and minitab... Now I'm wondering if I should control chart my attempts at conception... weirdo

lil1ady Tue 17-Sep-13 00:32:47

ahh the ss thing has me laughing. bit of a joke about some types of ppl dh encounters in his job who control everything by ss but have no flexibility to them, not that any of you are like that, it just reminded me of how annoyed he gets!

well dh did his fertility test today. was absolutely hilarious watching him try to jizz into a funnel but his swimmers passed, so there are plenty of them and they can swim. let's hope they aren't all useless morphology wise. going to do the second test after icing just to be sure.

forgot who was going to stop TTC for a wedding but changed there mind, was it quark? on phone so can't scroll back. anyway whoever it was good to hear you changed your mind, bring it on sod!

I've been reading up on the pineapple. apparently you eat a fifth of a pineapple/core on 1dpo-5dpo...very specific and yet changes to your diet don't impact your fertility for 3months? go figure! any pearls of wisdom there prof zing? grin

hope you got your using in Maggie

lil1ady Tue 17-Sep-13 00:33:08

using? ha! obv meant js ing!

ZingWantsCake Tue 17-Sep-13 01:31:13

prof Zing is shaking his head, never heard of this...

DulcetMoans Tue 17-Sep-13 09:14:12

Good on you for not giving up TTC as well quark. I know it's not always that straight forward but you can't give up on your life because of other peoples. I got married last month with two pregnant bridesmaids and I wasn't annoyed in the slightest. Just because I am getting married doesn't mean their plans just stop. One was only two weeks off. Then she had the baby on a Tuesday and went to a wedding on the Sunday with little one in tow. Whether heavily pregnant or with new born child you can make it work.

4 days to go... must not symptom spot!!

EssieSaysRelax Tue 17-Sep-13 09:55:05

Well I'm afraid my DH is one of those ssheet nerds, but he has to analyse hundreds of thousands of figures every day. I don't know how he does it I'd go mad, but then he is way more patient with IT equipment than I am!

Had my awful recurring dream last night that DH had turned into my father. Quite hilarious really once I've woken up properly and recovered from the trauma because they are exact opposites, but a shrink would have a field day with that one!

I've got to poas tomorrow morning, due to it being my colp appointment. Not sure where I am though, could be anything from 5-11dpo. Not poas in ages as ERTD has arrived before I've got that far last couple of times. Brown spotting has stopped so wondering if it was something to do with ovving this cycle? Who knows. Thanks for all the colposcopy well wishes though. I will report back!

AuntieMaggie Tue 17-Sep-13 13:35:53

DP wasnt in the mood :-( I told him to man up but it didnt help...

Redshoes56 Tue 17-Sep-13 15:59:57

Hello spreadsheet queens and pineapple eaters! Sending virtual strength to those in the TWOT - stay away from the symptom spotting (I say this partly because I am trying to convince myself that, no, my sense of smell is not heightened and, no, it's not suspicious cramping but probably just gas).

So, you shaggers will appreciate this. Last night a woman who sings in choir with me waves wildly for my attention across the whole back row of altos, and proceeds to whisper to me mid-rehearsal: "Are you pregnant?"

Now. First of all: I am not a slim girl. But I really didn't think I looked quite that bad (considered burning my outfit when I got home). Secondly: Who the f*ck asks that?! Unless a woman is in the hospital, in labor, you don't ask her if she's pregnant. Actually, even then, you should keep your mouth shut - better safe than sorry. That was truly the definition of adding insult to injury. I think she means well but is just so socially awkward that she can't help herself. She obviously knows nothing about our struggles to conceive. Still, that should be even more reason for her to keep her mouth shut. Not her business! Mortified. I kind of both smiled and shot her the look-of-death, and mouthed back, "No." We were mid-rehearsal! I didn't know what else to do.

What is wrong with people?!

Redshoes56 Tue 17-Sep-13 16:01:18

Essie do let us know how the colposcopy goes!

AuntieMaggie Tue 17-Sep-13 16:16:06

Oh no Red - how rude angry

DPs GTA has arrived - I'm holding it ransom and have sent him snapchat pics to that effect... I said he could have it after we have sex... his response....FFS!

Redshoes56 Tue 17-Sep-13 16:42:43

Well played, auntie!

pizzaqueen Tue 17-Sep-13 16:51:07

auntmaggie I like your style!

red oh ffs what a cow. Some people don't know just to keep theie mouths shut. Im not slim and carry most of my extra weight round my middle I'm always worried people will think I'm pregnant and say something awkward and hurtful.

essie let us know how it goes.

Cd8 here so just getting ready to get the cape on. Although things still not great between me and dp. Taking evening primrose this month until icing to try to help get some ewcm. Not sure how long it will take to work.

EssieSaysRelax Tue 17-Sep-13 16:51:17

Maggie whats a GTA?

OMG Red, whats the flipping matter with people? Sorry you had to deal with that, was she mortified too? Or was she oblivious? But yes, the rule is definitely that you NEVER ask someone if they are up the duff, protocol is that you wait to be told!

I need some help re my Mother. I am at the stage now where I feel I should tell her whats going on cos she thinks I am being careless and wasting my fertile years by not ttc and she's convinced I will leave it too late. I can't bear to tell her we are ttc, cos she will become obsessed, but at the same time I want to put her straight when she tries to lecture me and I also want to avoid having to have the 'don't leave it much longer' convo again cos it's painful.

Stepawayfromthezebras Tue 17-Sep-13 16:54:21

Red - nobody the f*ck should ask that - how rude!!

AF's due tomorrow, and I went out for lunch with DP today and ate too much greasy food. I'm now trying to convince myself that the queasiness is due to early symptoms rather than just the fact that I'm a glutton.

AuntieMaggie Tue 17-Sep-13 17:45:12

Essie the latest grand theft auto game... if it works I can see a theme...

AuntieMaggie Tue 17-Sep-13 17:48:46

Btw do you stay laid down for a while after dtd or get up? I always worry if I get up too quick all the sperm will come out...

Redshoes56 Tue 17-Sep-13 17:57:19

Essie I think she was equal parts oblivious and mortified. She was mortified to be wrong and to have essentially called me fat, but oblivious to why asking me at all - nevermind in front of the alto section mid-song - was inappropriate!

I am in the same boat re: telling family. I haven't told my mom yet because I didn't want her to get her hopes up just in case (and considering the long road we are on, it was the right choice - she'd be totally upset for us). She really is wonderful when it comes to letting me live my life and would probably never bring my ticking clock up to me, but because we haven't had a conversation, she's gone and made the assumption that I have no interest in having a family. She has even told other relatives that "they're not going to have kids". Once again - what the f*ck? (That's my mantra today.)

I was planning on just telling her "Oh, P.S. we're pregnant" when it does happen. But if the diagnosis is that I need surgery or that we are going to do an IVF cycle, that's pretty significant information we should probably share with our parents. So I'll fess up, and I'll encourage you to do the same. smile

DulcetMoans Tue 17-Sep-13 18:38:57

Oh my God red, that's so awful! Someone could be about to drop but I wouldn't bring it up unless they do. I'd hate to be the person asking, let alone being asked! So many women carry their weight around their middles, it's nature. Just never ask!!

Excellent idea re GTA maggie, can you hide it every o we day to get him on schedule!

I've considered when to share the challenges of TTC as well. I have maintained that I don't want kids for years, even though that changed aggggeeessss ago. MIL is keen for us to spawn in particular and even I am sad I haven't been able to do that for her. Think I've decided to maybe share at the stage I'm told there is a problem. Which, depending on the results of the tests we are currently having, could be soon!

Redshoes56 Tue 17-Sep-13 21:28:32

I feel the same about my MIL, dulcet. She is sweet as pie and would never push about having grandchildren, but she and my FIL could really use something positive (my husband's brother, uncle and grandfather all passed away last year within six months of each other). Good luck with your tests. I wish I'd gone sooner, frankly.

AuntieMaggie Tue 17-Sep-13 22:15:48

I fecking hate this. Why is it so easy for some people? Why do some people get pregnant so easily with no health problems or anything? I have nothing to wear tomorrow that fits properly because of my stupid health issues that have caused my stomach to bloat. I am so dreading someone asking me if I'm pregnant because I think I'll lose it if they do. I wish I had a crystal ball at least then I'd know if all this is worth it or whether I should just go back on the pill.

CivicBlue1 Tue 17-Sep-13 22:37:29

ERTD is now 2 days late. Tested this morning. BFN. Feel sicky, but that may be the meds.

On the plus side it looks like DH will be home for a month to get him back on his proper rota!

Might use his copy of GTA as an incentive to encourage him to dtd as required. Am a bit worried he may become distracted by it thou.

lil1ady Tue 17-Sep-13 23:22:03

dhs GTA doesn't work cos he doesn't have a bug enough hard drive in his Xbox! lmao at him right now. luckily he's not an obsessive gamer so no hiding games will help me.

sorry everyone is having a rubbish time with insensitive a holes and the general "why isn't it me". I think my brain is fed up of it all. I'm not even sure what CD I'm on which is not like me at all. too much else going on to worry about at the moment I guess.

Redshoes56 Tue 17-Sep-13 23:37:38

Fingers crossed for you civic - would be good to have another celebration! (Because yes lil we are otherwise in total a-hole land).

auntie - I have been going through the same tornado of crappy thoughts. I keep trying to tell myself, everyone has their struggles, but eff that. Sometimes you just need to bitch and punch something. Here's a pillow. <ducks> Go buy yourself some new things to wear that you feel good in and eff everyone else.

AuntieMaggie Wed 18-Sep-13 06:20:13

Thanks Red

DP isn't an obsessive gamer really he just really has been looking forward to GTA... it did the job!

Off to another day in another city - no wonder I'm so bloody tired and miserable atm.

Hope everyone has a good day.

EssieSaysRelax Wed 18-Sep-13 09:28:02

Fingers crossed for you civic, it's gone a bit quiet on the bfp front here since the last flurry so statistically we must be due another one!?

I am doing an utterly shite job of keeping it together before my colp. Don't know why I've worked myself into a total state about this one. I'm terrified. I look like shite cos I have no make up on at work, and my eyes are puffy, but there is no way I'll get from now to the other side of the appointment without crying, so figured I'd put it on after. It's our annual company conference this afternoon too, in which I play a pretty massive part so need to get myself together and somehow tidy up before the entire company has to look at me. Appointment at 10.30.

Maggie et all. I don't frigging know why some people get up the duff so flipping easily and we don't. Quite frankly its utter bollocks. However, I am not taking it lying down (harhar), I am gonna give it my best shot, as are we all. Then when we get our bfps, we can say in our heads in your FACE fertile people. We can do it too. grin <self pep talk over, Essie heads out to appointment>

DulcetMoans Wed 18-Sep-13 12:07:02

Oh what a depressed bunch we are. Eventually we will all get there, one way it another.

Got told I am being moved to a pretty big project at work. Will be a pain in the arse but pretty good opportunity. Felt a little guilty as obviously trying to make babies but need to do what's right for me, yes? Reassure me! Haha.

I am four days away I think and having stabbing pains in the important areas!

EssieSaysRelax Wed 18-Sep-13 12:21:40

Dulcet definitely go for it. Can't put life on hold etc and when you get upduff then you'll work it all out, but better to regret doing things than not doing things.

Coploscopy was ok, but my cervix is mangled, which explains the traumatic smear a few weeks ago where the nurse 'couldn't find' it. It's badly scarred after the two rounds of LLETZ I had to have to remove the bad cells, and has all but closed up apparently. So now I'm being referred to gynae to have it dialated! Joy of joys! Under general too. Boo. However, consultant said while there is usually pain associated with a pin hole cervix (yes this is an actual condition!), which I don't have, she thinks it could be affecting my chances of conceiving so she recommends I have the op. Feeling ok about it. I knew there was going to be something less than brilliant about todays appointment, but at least its progress hopefully in a positive direction.

DulcetMoans Wed 18-Sep-13 14:20:41

That's what I need to hear, thanks essie! Sounds like you appointment was quite positive, even if uncomfortable and not great news. It's good to know what the problems are and have a way forward. Did they say how long until referral comes through?

Alohomora Wed 18-Sep-13 14:55:31

essie good luck for the inspection of your vestibule, I hope things go smoothly!

red some people are just naturally insensitive! As soon as we got married people started asking and it hasn't really stopped, now thy just stare at my midriff a lot. I've not been great health wise either and it hasn't helped the questions.

Symptom spotting here, but it's probably just stress.

DulcetMoans Wed 18-Sep-13 15:01:31

How long to test now aloho? Think we were similar timings and I'm due 22nd Sept.

fifi669 Wed 18-Sep-13 15:32:32

Sounds positive essie that the ball is rolling, BFP is no time now smile

Think I'm in FW at the mo, no hint of icing on the OPKs though.

Pretty overdue a BFP aren't we?

lil1ady Wed 18-Sep-13 16:16:51

massively overdue a bfp Fifi

Essie echoing everyone else, an op may be scary but at least its a positive step forward. hope your afternoon meeting went OK and you had time to sort the make up out!

pizzaqueen Wed 18-Sep-13 16:32:23

Positive that you're getting some answers essie. Cervix' are strange things aren't they? I'm not sure if I can find mine blush (tmi). Not sure what bit is what...

I'm getting totally fed up with this ttc business. I was supposed to be squeezing out a baby in January (mc) but now that isn't going to happen it's left us with a huge childcare problem for ds starting preschool. DP flexible working request has been turned down and I won't be on mat leave like we expected. angry I'm sure we'll sort something out. But this along with my SIL having her third baby in a few weeks plus three friends due around my should-have-been due date, it's all just getting a bit much. Pizzaqueen jumps into the pity jacuzzi.

juniper81 Wed 18-Sep-13 17:25:48

Hi all, sorry we're all feeling a bit down about it all...at least we can all empathise instead of talking to yet another friend who suggests "relaxing" or "not thinking about it" over the heads of how ever many children...Gosh, I do sound bitter! pizzaqueen the other people due around the due date thing is a shocker, it's hard stuff. xx

Onwards and upwards! I've been a bit quiet, trying to avoid symptom spotting and failing but I've been here before and been disappointed. I can test from today - CD28 - and my cycles are usually 28-31 but I think I'll go for Sunday if no ERTD as I don't want to be sad before a day's work. Work makes me sad enough!

Alohomora Wed 18-Sep-13 17:50:58

dulcet I did an early one this morning, bfn, but I'm only 8DPO - proper test shouldn't really be until next Monday.

CivicBlue1 Wed 18-Sep-13 18:27:07

Still no sign of ERTD. Another BFN this morning. I'm usually bang on time. Don't want to get my hopes up, but at the same time I can't help myself.

fifi669 Wed 18-Sep-13 20:26:09

Well OPK gave me a positive when I got home from work. Made tea, DP put DS to bed, I preseeded (unsure if I produce EWCM), dtd, now on the sofa with legs in the air.

DP is happy. Food, a cheeky bit of oral for him, sex and football. I may even bust out some chocolate, (DP is a chocoholic). All because i read that men produce alot more and healthier sperm the more turned on they are......

pizzaqueen Wed 18-Sep-13 20:40:43

lol fifi sounds like a good evening. So how does preseed work? Been thinking about it but dp doesn't like the idea of charts/opks etc, anything except shagging! He thinks I could get pregnant any moment and just doesnt understand about oving etc. I don't really get any ewcm.

fifi669 Wed 18-Sep-13 21:43:46

pizza it's supposed to recreate EWCM which is supposed to be a similar consistency to spunk. The idea is as its all the same the sperm have an easier time doing what's needed

Alohomora Thu 19-Sep-13 09:00:21

Yep, pizza, it's really just like a special lube that helps the swimmers survive a bit longer.

I'm home today and tomorrow, things aren't too great at the moment but I'm sure it'll work itself out in the end. POAS this morning (WHY? I need to stop myself) and the test was a dud, that'll teach me not to test early....

DulcetMoans Thu 19-Sep-13 09:07:37

Im am getting by without testing by having none in the house. Every time I have been to the shop I have thought about buying some but managed to resist. Just a few more days until I know for sure anyway.

I think there is something in the preseed that is designed to make the best environment for the swimmers, it's not just normal lube.

Why you home aloho? Do you mean you are off work? Home is better than work anyway! I miss my bed already and only been out of it a couple of hours.

EssieSaysRelax Thu 19-Sep-13 09:46:37

Thanks everyone. Feeling a bit muddled about it all really, but DH has private medical insurance with work so I'm going to see if I can at least see someone for another opinion on that, currently though I am not even a candidate for IUI or IVF with cervix in its current state so definitely need to get it sorted one way or another. In the meantime though I intend to keep jsing and do some handstands as it can't hurt can it?! I told my Mum last night too. She was upset, but then remembered to get a grip cos it's me who ought to be upset! She did in a slightly panic striken tone say 'so you will need to get it sorted before you start thinking about having children'! If only she knew.

Company conference went ok. Had lots of feedback, some great, some good, some shite. You can't please everyone!

Aloho, hope you are ok?

Fx to everyone poas in next few days. I know there is a bfp amongst us!

Alohomora Thu 19-Sep-13 10:27:27

essie I missed your update, so sorry! Well, it's not great news but it sounds like having the procedure might up your chances by quite a bit so may it will be a good thing in the end. Do you know how quickly you'll be able to see the gynae?

Things like that make me miss the German health system, where if you think you need a specialist you just phone up and make an appointment with them. All smear tests are done by gynos back home - my GP had gyno training AND an ultrasound machine, so whenever I had dodgy periods as a teen he'd do s quick scan of my ovaries. Soo handy!

I'm fine, we just will have to find somewhere else to live before Christmas and it's a bit sudden.

EssieSaysRelax Thu 19-Sep-13 10:45:56

Oh no, so sorry to hear that, moving house is crappy enough without having it sprung on you. ((((hugs))))

German health system sounds amazing! I had terrible periods when I was a teen and have never had a scan to date!

Not sure how quickly I'll be able to see someone but going to phone up insurance people today and see what they say. They wouldn't help before because they said it was routine cervical screening, even though it had gone beyond that, but now it's being referred away from that dept back to gynae I'm hoping they will help me.

Stepawayfromthezebras Thu 19-Sep-13 17:26:26

Oh boo, AF's arrived, ah well, am enjoying the trying smile

EssieSaysRelax Thu 19-Sep-13 19:32:57

Sorry to hear that zebras, glad the jsing is keeping you entertained though!

Jenijena Thu 19-Sep-13 19:37:23

Reckon I can whine here... AF came back 12 months after DS born... A few very light months of regular visits. thought, woo hoo, at least period pain of doom has gone! This is month 3 of ttc, I've had sickness and diarrhoea all week and didn't take anything 'just in case'. And AF came back again, more painful than ever, this morning. Thanks. Sickness, diarrhoea, period pain, agh.

Wine, drugs and chocolate at the ready for tonight.

bludgerwitch Thu 19-Sep-13 21:23:10

Hi, a name-changed aloho here.

jenijena It is frustrating, isn't it, esp. if it all comes to nowt. Had massive headache all day and the only thing we have in the house is neurofen, didn't dare take it just in case!

juniper81 Thu 19-Sep-13 21:57:40

evening, I'm out for this month too, AF here and making me very uncomfortable. Had a little bawl on DH this evening but going out tomorrow and will enjoy some wine for the first time in a while. It's a rollercoaster ride for sure so just went for a little late night shop at the supermarket & treated myself to a new book. Will curl up and read it in a bit.

Good luck everyone who's still waiting. xx

Redshoes56 Thu 19-Sep-13 23:17:14

Ugh, sorry for those who are out for the month. The fred has been kind of melancholy lately. I feel like utter shite today. Nauseous all day, especially this a.m. ERTD due tomorrow-ish. Normally I'd be all, "Ooh! Maybe it's a sign!" but I am sure it's just the stupid metformin.

Minion Thu 19-Sep-13 23:58:00

Evening shagtastics.
Anyone up? I'm suffering with jetlag, just as well as I started a Netflix account today, Tis seeing me through nicely.
Icing here, but no husband. He's away on business, he'll be back around 5 tomoz but should be nice and late then.
Looks like I'll be able to o to Vegas this month then (come on law of sod)....

fifi669 Fri 20-Sep-13 08:37:04

DP is working all day and evening so last gasp dtd with intent is out the window.

I've used the special lube, I've done the ahem deeper positions, I've had my legs in the air, he's had his sperm healthy foods, I haven't been smoking, bring on the BFP!

Rant over. Quietly slides onto TWOT bench and twiddles thumbs....

EssieSaysRelax Fri 20-Sep-13 08:56:19

Good work, got everything xed for you fifi. I think the reason we are all so down is because there has been no good news on our fred for a while. We are well overdue a BFP which means there will be a flurry like buses surely?!

Anyone doing anything nice at the weekend? My DH is away at a cricket do and I am going on a sponsored ride with my four legged boy which should blow away the cobwebs a bit and take my mind off all the ttc malarkey.

Jena, welcome, hope you are feeling better and you were well enough to enjoy your goodies!

Sorry to hear about ERTD Juniper. flowers and wine for you and for Red too, sorry you are feeling so shite. It's not over til the witch is here though, so keeping things tightly xed for you too.

Minion when are you due to go to Vegas? My bro just went, said it was mental.

aloho, interesting new name. Hope your head is feeling better.

The pity pool is open and warmed up to a toasty 35.5C if anyone fancies a dip.

lil1ady Fri 20-Sep-13 10:06:05

Morning viroids

sorry for all the bad news on afs, cervix's, houses and men who don't get woman's bits!

I'm going to try and be positive and lighten the mood.

so far this month I'm doing pretty well on the jsing front. not temped, no opks yet and lots of sex on no kind of rota. in fact we dtd twice yesterday. and I didn't bother with that whole legs in the air makarky that hasn't worked the last 8 months. just good old fashioned shagging. Love it!

minion we went to Vegas for the first stint of our honeymoon. there is nowhere like it. its both mental and amazing!

bludgerwitch Fri 20-Sep-13 10:49:58

Morning ladies! Feeling quite good today, but grateful to be tucked up with a blanket and Nigella on the telly and a dog to warm my side. Work tomorrow!

I'm not very hopeful for this month, it feels like AF is on the way, but we'll see. About to compose the notice letter to the landlord and write to a couple of storage companies.

I miss JSing, we haven't really had the mindset for it since I OVed, too many other issues.

bludgerwitch Fri 20-Sep-13 12:14:48

Double post, sorry - could you have a look at the photo in my gallery? Is that a positive or an evaporation line? I can't tell!!!!

EssieSaysRelax Fri 20-Sep-13 12:21:29

Hi aloho, glad you are feeling better.

No I'm not hopeful for this month either. 5 days til ERTD due. I would have been as we've jsed lots and at the right time too, but now I know I have a roadblock I think it is highly unlikely! doubt that will stop me getting obsessive and neurotic in the next few days though

Sorry you've got to move house suddenly, have you got somewhere lined up?

bludgerwitch Fri 20-Sep-13 12:25:01

essie We've put an offer in on a house, but it's in an appalling state so even if the sale goes through we'd have to have builders in for at least a month, so we might have to find something interim...

EssieSaysRelax Fri 20-Sep-13 12:27:20

How do I view your profile?! blush

bludgerwitch Fri 20-Sep-13 12:29:45

I don't know! I made it clickable and public and everything? MNet is confusing me! I'm going to poke a few buttons and see whether that works...

EssieSaysRelax Fri 20-Sep-13 12:30:46

Exciting about the house! It will be worth the stress to have your own place. Nope, still can't click on you...

bludgerwitch Fri 20-Sep-13 12:30:54
cookielove Fri 20-Sep-13 12:33:04

Essie click on her name. It will load her profile, which will have a link for photos.

Bludger thats a positive smile

EssieSaysRelax Fri 20-Sep-13 12:33:18

Argh! Link works, but the photo is showing as one of those annoying little red crosses when the link is broken so I can't see it! sob!

EssieSaysRelax Fri 20-Sep-13 12:34:26

It doesn't work cookie, it does when I click on yours but not on bludgers - YAY for the positive though! Woohoo! xx

bludgerwitch Fri 20-Sep-13 12:35:18

Is it? I can't quite believe it, I'm 11DPO, shall I instruct my OH to get my a digital one and try again tomorrow?

cookielove Fri 20-Sep-13 12:39:27

It is a faint positive but def a positive congratulations

Oh not sure why that is essie confused does it work if you click on the link?

Yes yes def get a digi, when I tested at 12dpo I used a digi as I could not find my cheapo ones. Seeing the word pregnant is the best feeling! !

EssieSaysRelax Fri 20-Sep-13 12:41:19

cookie No idea, I think the problem is my end cos if I go to your profile all your pics are blanked out too. Oh well. I will use your eyes if you don't mind!

bludger - yay! Yes, deffo get a digi and do another one tomorrow. Hurrah! We are back on track with a new bfp!

bludgerwitch Fri 20-Sep-13 13:07:28

Ahurrrrr, this has made me slightly barmy! Rushed out and bought a digi test, we'll sit on my foof for a few hours without drinking and then try, or maybe if I can stand it wait until tomorrow morning.

Bought myself a big bunch of sunflowers, just in case it's a false alarm, they might cheer my up.

DulcetMoans Fri 20-Sep-13 13:35:14

That's a positive bludger, I am sure. You defo need a digi. How exciting! I will check back every 10 mins now!

Just to bring the thread down again, i'm out. Unexpectedly if I am honest. Partly because it's two days early and partly because I had convinced myself that this could be it a little. Few unusual pains in the right areas, the baps are a bit tender which is unusual for me and plus going to docs, having blood test etc I thought would be prime law of sod. But no. nada. Nothing. Means another trip for a blood test monday (CD2-5 test) and need to get DH to use his little pot...

Oh, and it hurts! I have bought myself a bar of the new weird cadburys with coca cola pretzels in it to make myself feel better...

EssieSaysRelax Fri 20-Sep-13 13:38:39

Oh dulcet, sorry to hear this. You need some sunflowers too. Enjoy the weird choc. I had some choc pretzels earlier as they were on offer in the co-ey. Yum.

bludger - any symptoms?? Fx for digi test.

bludgerwitch Fri 20-Sep-13 13:45:34

essie I had very persistent pain in my left ovary over the weekend and had a raised temperature from Sat until yesterday. Also very scatterbrained. I'm sitting here clutching the box and waiting for the urge to piddle...

bludgerwitch Fri 20-Sep-13 13:46:52

dulcet flowers That's rubbish, is AF usually a bit irregular for you or is that unusual? Get yourself a hot water bottle, too, that often helps.

DulcetMoans Fri 20-Sep-13 14:08:23

Think of waterfalls bludger!

Is two days early irregular? I am not really sure what is irregular and what isn't to be honest! Normally I am about 26-28 days. This is 25 but I have been out as far as 32 over recent months.

I do love sunflowers, they were my wedding flowers too! Maybe I will treat myself. You're right. I deserve it! haha.

bludgerwitch Fri 20-Sep-13 14:09:55

OMG I'm 1-2 weeks pregnant!!!!!!!!!!

lil1ady Fri 20-Sep-13 14:12:27

woohoo bludger another bfp...there is hope for us all!

DulcetMoans Fri 20-Sep-13 14:13:52

Yay bludger! How you going to tell DP? Thats assuming you told us first! haha.

bludgerwitch Fri 20-Sep-13 14:15:47

Now we really need to get out of this unhealthy house ASAP, I don't think I can cope with that many life changeing events in one week....

dulcet That doesn't sound that early, really - mine are usually like clockwork but every time I haven gone on/off the pill the cycle length has changed significantly.

cookielove Fri 20-Sep-13 14:33:32

Yay bludger I look forward to seeing you on the just shagging grads thread grin

essie my eyes are your eyes!

EssieSaysRelax Fri 20-Sep-13 14:47:57

Thanks for the eye loan cookie! I had a look on my phone just now which allowed me to view the pics - yes, thats definitely a line not that I've ever seen an actual bfp, obviously this is irrelevant now, as you have done a digi, but I felt left out!

On the topic of cycle length, mine is usually regular but last ERTD was 5 days early, so there is the odd rogue one in there from time to time too.

lil1ady Fri 20-Sep-13 14:54:27

I wouldn't worry about 2days early dulcet means you can try again quicker!

cookielove Fri 20-Sep-13 15:08:28

Ahhhh essie you'll see your bfp soon smile

bludgerwitch Fri 20-Sep-13 15:25:42

dulcet DH, as always, has forgotten his mobile and he doesn't have a phone in the office, so he'll have to wait until he comes home!

My best friend knew I was hoping for news at the end of the week, and coincidentally she emailed a few minutes after I did the digi test, so I phoned her and we just had a nice long chat. I'm very bad at keeping exciting news to myself so I just needed someone RL to talk to!

Minion Fri 20-Sep-13 15:39:27

Congrats bludger fab news!
Another BFP for the album.

I've been to Vegas a few times with work but this will be the longest stopover yet so, looking forward to it. Wish husband could come too though.
Tmi alert, EWCM has returned with a vengeance, so I assume it took approx 7 months to get back to normal after the pill. Husband is due home approx 4;15, so gonna get on it ASAP. I really don't want to have to be working Christmas day heehee. Do you think I'm too late? Ie, if EWCM is coming out does it mean I'm at the tail end of the icing? I still have the pain so hoping I'm bang on..

ZingWantsCake Fri 20-Sep-13 16:07:22

congratulations! thanks

and commiserations for all who fell victim to the red witch againsad

no news here, about to ov so fx I'll be in the mood to JS.
had a very exhausting week, school and extra activities our now properly on.
DS1 has been made full chorister and will sing at a wedding tomorrow.
choir parents are allowed to attend - I think I fancy getting dolled up.
I love weddings. they are so life-affirming.

ZingWantsCake Fri 20-Sep-13 16:08:01

*activities are on

not our..

CivicBlue1 Fri 20-Sep-13 16:14:53

Congrats bludger

Still waiting for the evil red witch to arrive. 5 days late so far and 3 BFNs.

FurryScoob Fri 20-Sep-13 16:52:50

Congratulations Bludger & fx for you Civic

Af's about to leave here, we've got the weekend off together for a wedding about the same time as ov this month so I'm off to buy some nice new underwear to persuade DP to leave the bar after the wedding!

Bearfacedchic Fri 20-Sep-13 17:35:10

Hello! Been off for a while busy having a cold, working and having my HSG. And the news is my tubes are open and I'm all normal inside! Hurrah! I'm so glad it's good news. I wouldn't have been impressed if it wasn't as it was really painful for me. I know other people have it and say it doesn't hurt, but I was nearly sick with pain. The consultant even took my pulse to see if I was ok!

Anyway, lots to catch up on so off to read the last five pages it so.

Hi to everyone!

PrincessKitKat Fri 20-Sep-13 17:48:32

Hi viroids, been catching up on your shagging news!

Bear, excellent tube news, but I'm sorry it was so painful for you. Hopefully a step closer to your BFP?

Furryscoob - that will give you something to do in the awkward lull between wedding ceremony and dinner!!

Bludger - congratulations!

Fx all thanks

juniper81 Fri 20-Sep-13 18:50:42

Congratulations bludger that's great news! And glad to hear all ok inside bear.

Commiserations dulcet, I'd also thought it was the month and AF is a bit early. It even started in a weird way which was like how people describe implantation bleeding! Grrrr! I got upset again this morning on the phone to my mum who then "cheered" me up by reminding me how long most of the women in our family have tried and we're talking years and years. Didn't really work! Ha. Having a brew before going out for some wine. Thanks for the kind words, it's so nice to have somewhere to talk about it all.

Am planning for the next JS'ing onslaught already. I hope DH is ready...!
Have great weekends all. xx

fifi669 Fri 20-Sep-13 18:57:26

Congratulations bludger! Is this the start of a BFPathon?

Redshoes56 Fri 20-Sep-13 19:16:32

bludger - HOORAY!!!!! I do hope it's the start of a BFPathon. Fingers crossed for civic! Who else is waiting?

bear I am SO glad to hear positive results from your HSG! And yes, it IS painful. I wish I could count myself among the women who say they have an easy-breezy time with it, especially as I have to face the similar saline sonogram next week. But we are tough, we can take it smile

I can totally relate juniper and dulcet. Outwardly did not get my hopes up but inwardly really wanted this to be the month we defied the odds, got the BFP and canceled the followup appointments. But ERTD pulled into the station right on time today. I was already feeling ill all day with a sinus headache and nausea, so the other unwelcome arrival I just packed up my desk at lunchtime and called it a day. In my pajamas now in bed. And I guess I can have a teeeeny bit of chocolate on my low-carb diet. Ahhh...better.

Redshoes56 Fri 20-Sep-13 19:17:30

Should say WITH the other unwelcome arrival....

EssiesInvisibleLlama Fri 20-Sep-13 19:53:59

Evening viroids.

bear lovely to see you and great news all parts are present and correct and no road blocks. That's ace.

Sorry for the ertds in attendance tonight though. wine all round.

Fx for everyone waiting. I suppose I should count myself in the twot even though chances are slim after this weeks new. Still sperms are small so the gap only needs to be wee surely?!

DH is away so I'm watching crap on the tv and hogging the chocolate.

Do hope bluger has kick started the much needed bfp-athon! Surely all the sod tempting we've been doing is going to take effect soon?

There are people on tv spray painting actual poodles. hmm

bludgerwitch Fri 20-Sep-13 20:55:19

I'm going to continue hanging out here for a while, ladies, maybe I can be the bfp fairy?

I'm slobbing on front of the telly and buying PJs off QVC as I feel I am entitled. grin wine all around! (I have pomegranate in mine, though...)

EssiesInvisibleLlama Fri 20-Sep-13 21:59:48

Yes, please do stick around, hopefully you might attract some other bfps!

ZingWantsCake Fri 20-Sep-13 23:14:45

are you going to NC to bludgertheBFPfairy ?

let me see if I can do a fairy picture

ZingWantsCake Fri 20-Sep-13 23:17:29

is that fairy-like?

juniper81 Sat 21-Sep-13 00:08:53

Well, some wine winehas definitely been drunk. Not sure how it helps but it does.

DulcetMoans Sat 21-Sep-13 01:10:48

Well today seems to
Be the day for answers either way. Sorry to red and juniper, stupid bodies! I had wine to as been to a wedding. Good dance has helped me feel better. Plus might get ERTD to pass through quicker. I find being active helps!

Actually googled fertility clinics earlier. Then felt silly.

bludgerwitch Sat 21-Sep-13 07:36:17

Pick your poison, everyone! sprinkles fairydust, like BFP spores I'm on ginger tea for the moment.

BTW, I used pre-seed this month and I didn't use it in the other cycles, so maybe it does help if your foof is feeling unfriendly towards little swimmers.

AuntieMaggie Sat 21-Sep-13 09:02:43

Congrats to those with bfps and hugs to those with other news.

How long should I lie in bed before giving in to having a wee after dtd? This making babies lark is messing with my brain hmm DP has left the building and I'm led here legs in the air trying to take mind off needing a wee...

Where do I get this preseed stuff?

bludgerwitch Sat 21-Sep-13 09:07:26

AuntieMaggie I bought mine off amazon!

Can't answer the other question, sorry, I was wondering the same thing...

juniper81 Sat 21-Sep-13 11:42:30

auntiemaggie I read on another thread on here somewhere that women having IUI lie down for about 20 mins after the procedure and this has proven to increase success rates. I usually lie down for about 10 mins or so as lots of people also on here say it makes no difference! It's all so confusing.

We use preseed too which we got off Amazon. There's another brand called Conceive Plus which we didn't like at all.

My DH is not impressed by my lack of hangover! But that's the first time I've had a drink in a very long time so I think my body has decided to be nice to me.

AuntieMaggie Sat 21-Sep-13 12:27:48

Ok looking on Amazon... whats with all the '9 applicators' bit?

FurryScoob Sat 21-Sep-13 12:46:34

I've got preseed & the applicators from amazon but not used them yet, how the hell do you fit that much stuff up there? I'd be too busy laughing at the squelchy noises to DTD!

bludgerwitch Sat 21-Sep-13 13:06:03

AuntieMaggie The applicators are like syringes without a pointy end, you suck about 3 grams of lube into one of those and shoot it up your vag. It feels a bit weird but surprisingly it didn't squelch!

DulcetMoans Sat 21-Sep-13 14:33:35

This sounds a bit odd, but could I use the preseed without DH knowing? Just to save the embarrassment! Could I pop it up there just before and get it on? Just planning the next cycle action plan!

fifi669 Sat 21-Sep-13 14:35:09

maggie it's like a tampon applicator type thing. I don't need lube in general so I only put in 2ml to help the swimmers.

juniper81 Sat 21-Sep-13 15:36:50

I don't use the applicators at all!

juniper81 Sat 21-Sep-13 15:37:33

Maybe that'll be the secret to success next time...?
straws grasped wink

Bearfacedchic Sat 21-Sep-13 15:42:46

Thanks everyone. It's taken me a while to get over it. I felt absolutely exhausted last night and this morning. I did have a cold last week too, but I think my whole body just shut down really. I'm feeling better now though.

Red- I'm so sorry you have to go through something similar again. Sending you lots of hugs. thanks thanks thanks

Congrats to Bludger! Hi- I don't think we've met. Nice to meet you.

Sorry to those who have the witch. thanks

We used Conceive Plus for a while but I kept getting thrush from it so decided to go au natrel instead.

Redshoes56 Sat 21-Sep-13 15:52:36

My DH really likes the Pre Seed - we may continue to use it regardless of TTC! I have no idea if it helps the swimmers but it does help me get in the mood on those nights when we have to but don't necessarily want to (tired, etc.).

Redshoes56 Sat 21-Sep-13 16:28:57

dulcet you can definitely pop it up there ahead of time. He may notice the difference, though grin

AuntieMaggie Sat 21-Sep-13 19:30:56

Thanks ladies (must remember to change the delivery address to home rather than work...)

ZingWantsCake Sat 21-Sep-13 21:42:58

definitely icing here. but it's painful so I'm nowhere near in the mood sad

thanks & (hugs) for everyone in need.

AuntieMaggie Sat 21-Sep-13 21:59:08

Aww Zing I can relate - I get really painful during icing and it makes it really hard to dtd (hugs)

lil1ady Sat 21-Sep-13 22:18:54

hi all. never considered using pressed and now I'm out off even moire by the idea of applicators confused but in ready to try anything. if you told me eating worms would guarantee my bfp I'd probably do it!

been helping at as fundraising event today so I'm nakered. should DTD really but think I'll just sleep and pounce on dh in the morning instead.

CivicBlue1 Sun 22-Sep-13 10:30:39

ERTD arrived.
CivicBlue1 leaps into pitty jacuzzi

lil1ady Sun 22-Sep-13 11:10:50

thanks wine civic

DulcetMoans Sun 22-Sep-13 11:44:50

Busy pool this month. Sorry about that civic. Treat yourself to something tasty.

Redshoes56 Sun 22-Sep-13 16:18:50

Boo, sorry civic <makes room in the jacuzzi>.

I need to get out anyway so as not to share my cold germies with all you lovely ladies. Achoo. smile

DulcetMoans Sun 22-Sep-13 16:53:11

Interesting development - DH has been off paint balling this weekend and has an unfortunately placed bruise. Seriously, who know it was even possible to bruise your penis?! Anyway, that's not helpful for baby making. I should be grateful it's happened now (on ERTD) but will need it back in action ASAP! Any advice?!

Bearfacedchic Sun 22-Sep-13 17:13:59

Ice Dulcet- painful but will do the job of bringing out the bruise and promotes healing in the tissues.

thanks Civic- hi btw!

I'm icing too but not allowed to make babies this month (chuckles at the optimism of using a plural).

pizzaqueen Sun 22-Sep-13 17:14:29

ouch dulcet try arnica tablets. Midwife recommended them to me for bruising and swelling after giving birth to 9lb ds. They're herbal and dissolve under the tongue.

ZingWantsCake Sun 22-Sep-13 17:47:23

a gentle massage?grin

civic sorry to hear thanks

DulcetMoans Sun 22-Sep-13 18:00:31

He won't take a tablet pizza (men!) but I think a massage would be encouraged! Haha. Ice if it comes in the form of ice cream, he could rest the tub on the affected area I guess!

lil1ady Sun 22-Sep-13 22:47:47

so I don't know if I'm just not paying as much attention this month or if something is up, but I seem to have had very little, no almost no, ewcm so far this month which is way weird for me. due to ice any time from now. anyone else had anything like this? if I have another 40+ day cycle I'm going to be well miffed! I was coping fine with 33-37 day cycles.

CivicBlue1 Sun 22-Sep-13 23:05:32

Face timed DH. Always makes me feel better. He's home Wednesday for a month (so far unless his boss scuppers my plans again). Plenty of time to dtd.

EssiesInvisibleLlama Mon 23-Sep-13 13:03:17

Hi viroids. I need your help.

Went to my GP this morning to tell her what happened at colp last week and to get her advice. She reckons we should crack on with early investigations whilst we wait for the surgeons recommendations on how to progress to fix my cervix. So she's arranging for me to have a full blood profile done and then the day 21 test. However I have no idea which day I should go on as my cycles vary so wildly. Last 3 have been 32, 34, and 28 days respectively. How do I work it out?

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I did my fun ride and my legs ache like mad today, had a fab day though and couldn't stop smiling after so it was just what I needed. grin

lil I had hardly any EWCM this month, it was blink and miss it this time for some reason?

civic sorry about ERTD. wine for you. x

DulcetMoans Mon 23-Sep-13 19:22:29

When are you due ERTD essie? I discussed when to go with my doc and she said its day 21 because that's, in theory, 7 days after icing. My theory is I ice later than average so she advised me to go later. Went on day 23 I think. Do you have an idea when you ice? I can see its tough when you vary so much.

Did you discuss other tests? I had my cd2-5 test this morning. Just urine test to go for me now!

lil1ady Mon 23-Sep-13 21:07:02

thanks Essie nice to know its not just me having different things in different cycles. although the ewcm seems to be back! odd

if your cycles are normally 32-34 days I'd base est for 21day test on those. do you have any idea what your literal phase is? if you do you could estimate what day you normally ice and count seven days from there and see where it falls compared to days you can get appointment. I'd think better to do it a day or so late rather than early so the prog levels are at least what they should be. not that I know anything about these tests though!

dh has pleaded that we DTD tomorrow not tonight. then the ewcm shows up. great! that'll be another cycle out the window

Redshoes56 Mon 23-Sep-13 21:08:11

Hmmm, if they won't take you 7 days after ice like dulcet says, maybe go on Day 21 as prescribed but make sure they note the average variance in your cycles so they can take that into account? The female body sure is tricky, isn't it? They are the ones with the medical degrees, surely they can figure it out..... or we can hope! It sounds good though, Essie, that they are going to get the testing underway. Sounds like you had a good, restorative weekend!

Just got back from our followup. The recommendation was as expected - IVF with ICSI. I feel really relieved though, almost lighter and less stressed now that I have some answers and a clear direction. She assured my DH that 0% morphology does not mean game over and that they would definitely find good swimmers in there. She also assured me that even if I do have a septate uterus and need surgery, it is a simple procedure (I have my saline sono Thursday to find out) - and we can do IVF almost immediately after.

Can I still hang out with you shaggers even though my maybe baby is going to come from a petri dish?! grin

QuarksInAPearTickle Mon 23-Sep-13 21:19:28

Bit late but congrats bludger on the BFP!

flowers to every

QuarksInAPearTickle Mon 23-Sep-13 21:20:24

.....one else that got ERTD. sad

My ERTD won't leave the building. Getting impatient now!

DulcetMoans Mon 23-Sep-13 21:27:44

You sound quite positive about it red, it's good to have a plan of action but quite a lot to take in I bet. Please stick around though, we like to keep up and I'm sure you'll just shag anyway!

It's not necessarily out of the game lil! Just get on as early as poss tomorrow!

Just been talking to DH about SA. I think he's less keen now the time is getting nearer.

QuarksInAPearTickle Mon 23-Sep-13 21:32:20

Oh sorry lots of posts popped up that weren't there before I posted. Please do hang around red you sound very positive and fingers crosse for a Petri dish baby! The scientist in me actually thinks that is quite cool! I am a total geek!

lil1ady Mon 23-Sep-13 21:44:05

glad you are feeling good about things red. definitely stick around!

dulcet there is no way I'll be getting any until tomorrow evening if he keeps tonights veto in place. we are both terribly lazy in the morning, its all we can do to get to work on time so a shag is out of the question! hopefully the lack of ewcm until today means I have time though.

sorry ertd is hanging around quark. still more time for wine grin

Redshoes56 Mon 23-Sep-13 21:48:00

I feel very positive, although I am sure I'll start to freak out once it all really sets in. I was expecting this, though, and I'm at peace with it. I like the science behind it too, and I also rather like the higher chances of success versus artificial insemination or just keeping on our fruitless "natural" path. It doesn't hurt that his insurance will pay. Otherwise I'd probably feel a lot less positive about this. Right now, it's a no-brainer.

I do need to lose a few more pounds probably, but she was very happy to hear that I've taken off 8 already.

lil1ady Mon 23-Sep-13 22:35:38

um....when a man is standing in the way of your bfp, guilt is the perfect ingredient for success. not obvious not meanly, just a quick comment that says I'm fine apart from....lil1ady is now a little happier grin

Redshoes56 Mon 23-Sep-13 23:33:25

Nice work lil!

DulcetMoans Tue 24-Sep-13 11:13:02

So the earliest appointment for a SA is 11.30am and it has to be there with them within an hour so he has to do it about 10.30am on a weekday when he needs to be at work. We don't really have any holiday because of the honeymoon so feel a bit stuck... Don't suppose I can just fridge it...? Any experience?

pizzaqueen Tue 24-Sep-13 13:28:06

No expierence dulcet but i reckon fridging it would kill the swimmers?

Can he not take a half day and say he has dentists/doctors appt?

Glad to hear you sounding so positive red

DP found my contraband OPKs and asked if i was doing pregnancy tests when i explained what they are he thought i was totally mental and got a bit pissed off with me for putting too much pressure on ttc. I actually cannot think of anything else, my mind is completely occupied by it blush. It's my fertile window just now but we haven't dtd yet and that's dp at work all week til 11pm now.

No ewcm either, but have started taking evening primrose and starflower oil daily and it seems to have helped with the quanitity of the wet stuff just not the quality. Will wait and see.

Also lost 4.8lbs last week, so happy with that, still the heaviest I've ever been and a long way to go though.

Redshoes56 Tue 24-Sep-13 13:44:32

Yeah, pizza is right dulcet - you actually have to keep them as warm as you can on the way there (last time I drove the cup over in my bra - true story). I'd just have him call out sick or feign car trouble or something. Gotta get the swimmers over there fast!

Nice work on the weight loss, pizza! It's hard work, but it feels good to be going in the right direction, I know.

fifi669 Tue 24-Sep-13 13:48:00

Anyone else TWOTting? I think I'm 5dpo, app says PMT will hit in 4 days...... Must warn DP

Minion Tue 24-Sep-13 15:43:57

Twotting here too. There should be a few of us as we've all synced!
I'm 4dpo and nothing new to report. Just some tingling nips. Thankfully my icing spots are going, man, I was spotastic this month.
Does anyone else get them? I nearly had to book 2 extra places at a table at a wedding I wnt to, on Sunday, just to fit them in.
I'm exhausted.
So happy that the extremely hard summer season is on its way out. I love when winter rolls around. No night flights, get to go back to goa and the passengers are so much nicer.
Bring on November!

cookielove Tue 24-Sep-13 16:30:39

Hello all. I've always been keeping my eye on this thread, sad to say that I will be joining back with you lot as a scan this morning revealed my baby died at 8 + weeks.

I'll be back in a few weeks.

Redshoes56 Tue 24-Sep-13 16:43:21

Oh, cookie, I am so sorry sad thanksthanksthanks
We are here when you are ready.

pizzaqueen Tue 24-Sep-13 16:49:44

so sorry cookie. it's devestating. thanks hope you are being kind to yourself.

minion never heard of icing spots but I have a couple just now, I wonder if that's what it is? I usually break out right before af.

Minion Tue 24-Sep-13 16:52:20

Oh cookie love, I'm truly sorry for you and your partner.
Lots of hugs and tea, cake and love.
We're waiting her for you when you are ready to return xxx

EssiesInvisibleLlama Tue 24-Sep-13 16:55:10

oh cookie, I'm so sorry, that's so sad. We're here with brew and cake when you are ready.

Thanks everyone for advice re day 21 test, will post properly tonight.

cookielove Tue 24-Sep-13 18:08:56

I'm having my emrc on Tuesday, so I think after I get my first period back. I'll be back here with my shiny new Cape.

Trying not to think of the loss sad

lil1ady Tue 24-Sep-13 18:52:25

oh cookie so sorry. just when you think you've won life throws another punch. thanks

interesting about icing spots....I'm covered atm, almost back to teenage levels. should have iced early this week but nothing yet so hopefully the spots are a good sign. think stress could be causing delayed ovulation sad

looking forward to your full post Essie grin

who was fridging swimmer's? dulcet?
that made me laugh. I have no idea but if they say u have to get them there quick make him pull a Sicky or say drs app...if anyone sees him out he will at least be heading to the drs!

DulcetMoans Tue 24-Sep-13 19:23:58

Oh cookie that is so awful. Sorry you are going through that, it's not fair at all. We are here to hold your hand and help you with the new cape when you are ready.

Yeah, it was me talking about fridging it but I think red is right, warm is more important than cold. Happily store it in my bra, but the timings are really not customer friendly. It's a bit difficult with DH job, works for small company and they don't really do sick days. He's checking his holiday days so hopefully there's a spare we can use.

Congrats on the weight lose pizza but sorry DP was so mean about the TTC stuff. None of us want to cause pressure to the DPs but they take it all so personally sometimes!

No icing spots here but plenty just before ERTD. Had my glasses on this week to hide one on my nose!

pizzaqueen Tue 24-Sep-13 20:04:09

I think I might be just about to ice! loads watery cm today, right side pain, noticable line on opk. cd15 so a few days earlier than usual. wonder if I can stay awake for dp getting home at 11pm. hate his shifts so much!

AuntieMaggie Tue 24-Sep-13 20:43:39

Sorry to hear that cookie

Nothing to report here except sil is pregnant less than 6 months after her last dc... I told dp we may have to use her as surrogate... he wasn't impressed...

juniper81 Tue 24-Sep-13 20:58:02

oh cookielove I'm so sorry about your news, I hope you are home now and tucked up being looked after.

Good luck to TWOTters (that sounds a bit...rude, non?). ERTD seems to be making a comeback. ARGH.

That said, getting my head straight about the JSing days next week and priming DH. He needs lots of early nights and to get his man-vitamins down him.

fifi669 Tue 24-Sep-13 21:58:56

What shit news cookie sad

Nessalina Tue 24-Sep-13 22:41:27

Hey viroids, I've been AWOL for a while, just catching up, hope you're all well smile
Big congrats Bludger, hope your BFP encourages many more! Maybe see you over at the Grads Fred? smile
Gutted to hear your news Cookie sad glad to hear you're jumping straight back on the horse, fx for a speedy BFP for you xx

CivicBlue1 Tue 24-Sep-13 23:02:35

Evening viroids. Hope everyone is well. cookie that's awful x.

DH is home tomorrow evening, hopefully AF will have sodded off by then and we can get on with the task in hand.

Might have to use OPKs this month as I think the naproxen I've been on for 2 years has screwed up my icing. We'll still dtd as often as possible, but I just want to make sure I am icing.

Civic makes her way back to the pity jacuzzi

Bearfacedchic Tue 24-Sep-13 23:24:42

Cookie- I'm so sorry to hear that. thanks look after yourself. X

Red- glad you've got some answers and a plan. Well done on being so positive too.

Sorry I've not posted for a while but work is mad and I'm shattered. Also sorry for these quick random snippets but I now can't scroll back.

Just to echo Red - yes, keep the swimmers at body temperature. Between the boobs is good. Also, OH can take it as a medical appointment. Mine did.

For 21 day bloods question- I was told by my consultant's secretary that it didn't matter even though my cycles vary between 28 and 33 days. They said to do day 21 anyway. If my results come back in Nov saying I haven't ov'd I'm going to demand another test, but to be fair the woman sounded like she'd been asked a gazillion times.

Hi to everyone else. No shaggies for me this month as got to wait til after Ertd to try again and can't be bothered to buy or use condoms. Oh well. We're too tired anyway! grin having a proper rest this month!

QuarksInAPearTickle Wed 25-Sep-13 07:35:10

I'm so sorry to hear that cookie I hope you are ok and Glad to hear you are getting back to normal soon.

I am standing here shaking in my bathroom. Have had spotting/ v. Light blood flow for 11 days now and stomach camps. Also felt sick and boobs have been sore. Took a test just now and got a very light BFP. I am still spotting.
Think I must be miscarrying. sad waiting to phone the doctors at 8am. I don't know what to think....

QuarksInAPearTickle Wed 25-Sep-13 07:58:27

Sorry that post was a lot of rubbish! Just so confused! I thought the light blood flow was my AF so thought I was out this month. Now I don't know what to think!

Minion Wed 25-Sep-13 08:32:49

Don't they say that you may get light spotting and cramps when pg at time that you're due to come on? Something like a late implantation and the body is just going through the motions to get rid of the old blood? I'm certain I've read that. I'm hoping hoping that's what's happening.
I'll say a tentative congratulations right now, and I'll catch up tonight xxxx

Got another spot.... Gggrreeeaaaattt. I literally am just one big walking spot right now. Seriously, where there was a nose, a spot. A mouth, 10 spots...you get the spotty picture.
This means, apparently the male hormone after icing (progesterone) is working though, so that's a good thing I suppose.

I'm off to the ivory towers (hq) today so sit in on a meeting from people who don't work in the cabin giving ridic ideas about stuff they haven't a scooby about... Should be interesting, and a smidge absurd.

ZingWantsCake Wed 25-Sep-13 08:53:54

I'm in a shit mood.
I think my icing is over and we didn't manage to DTD at the right time.

and the one time we were going to MrZing got overexcited and let's just say it was a wasted opportunity. angry

DS1 is singing at a concert tonight which will be lovely.
We'll be back very late but maybe MrZing and I won't be too tired to JS.
we might as well, I don't even care.
oh I feel so miserablesad

EssiesInvisibleLlama Wed 25-Sep-13 09:05:16

Hi everyone,
DH was hogging the ipad last night and I couldnt face trying to post on my shite phone. Forgot what I was going to say now though as well as work was so bats yesterday I felt steamrollered when I got home.

Quark how are you doing this morning? I've heard of people having what seems like ERTD and lots of spotting in early pg too, my Mum being one of them. Hope you are ok.

Who was it asking about semen (I just hate that word!) samples, yes, deffo keep it warm, thats what GP told me on Monday, keep warm and get it to them within 1 hour. My DH is not amused and says we are 'not at that stage yet', basically he's crapping himself at prospect of having to jizz in a cup and be told his swimmers are feeble. I've decided to leave that battle for now, and get my bloods and scan etc done and see where we are then. He's happy to js whenever I want, and is convinced it will either happen, or the reason it isn't happening is cos of me (cheers love!), and once they sort me out, bingo. He doesn't realise how shite that makes me feel.

Anyway, ERTD due any min now so just waiting for that then can book in my first blood test at least. Rather bored of the whole ttc thing really, it's worked out to be far more stress than I thought it would be!

cookie, sending you lot of love. Thanks for reminding me I need a new cape too. I think its nearly time to get the crotchless knitted onsies back out isn't it bear?

DulcetMoans Wed 25-Sep-13 09:10:11

Oh quark, I know you fear the worst but it really might not be that. Like minion said, I don't think light bleeding is uncommon in early pregnancy. Hopefully the doctor can put your mind at rest.

DTD before work is not advisable. Going to spend the day a bit uncomfortable in the knicker region and paranoid!

Bear - do you mean your DH was able to take it to a normal doctors appointment? That could be an option but doctor never said that to us.

DulcetMoans Wed 25-Sep-13 09:16:24

Sorry for the double post but didn't see essie's when I posted. The SA stuff is from me and that is so similar to the conversations we are having at home. We were talking about it all yesterday and I said to DH 'do you still think it will just happen for us?' and he does. He said the same as you did up there 'we're not at that stage yet'. I don't know when he thinks we reach the stage of needing help but for him this is too soon. Even though we are just starting cycle 14 (I think). It's a tough one to manage... credit to him though, he did come to the doctors and he is willing to use the pot!

AuntieMaggie Wed 25-Sep-13 12:39:28

Just looked in my calendar and I am either cd 30 or 34 confused I looked cos I couldn't remember when my period is due but it seems I marked it twice last month! Am tempted to test as I feel really tired and lethargic and no sign of ertd yet but I'm also scared too...

What I really would like to do is go to bed sad

QuarksInAPearTickle Wed 25-Sep-13 12:43:26

Thanks everyone, I know I am bad thinking the worst but my head just assumes bleeding and pregnancy is not a good combo. Got a docs appointment later this aft and I am at work just now. Can't get it out of my head though.

I have funny images of you all with cups of your DP's baby gravy in your bras! grin

AuntieMaggie how long are your cycles due usually? are you late? poas poas poas

EssiesInvisibleLlama Wed 25-Sep-13 14:52:57

My DH just needs time to think about it I hope, he's a more more considered person than I am and needs time to get his head around things. At least I'm hoping thats the case in this situation as it usually is with him! I've got enough to be dealing with while he comes to terms with his role in this! Dultce glad your DH is happy to deposit his sample in a cup without any fuss.

Zing how are you feeling now?

Quark fingers and toes xd for your dr appointment and hoping it's good news. I would panic too if in your shoes though, I think thats quite a normal reaction. Guess they will send you for a scan?

Maggie think you maybe should poas?!

I am cd31 and no ERTD. Last cycle was 28 days. I am waiting for ERTD so I can crack on with blood tests but just occured to me maybe I should poas too? I did do one Weds last week, before my colp, which was BFN, and so I just wrote it off. Perhaps I'll wait til weekend? My phone app says ERTD due tomorrow but it has no idea what its talking about as it just works out the mean average and my body has its own wacky way of working out my cycle length! Hmmm.

pizzaqueen Wed 25-Sep-13 15:08:51

omg I actually got some ewcm!! I can't believe it. been taking evening primrose and starflower oil this month so that seems to have helped smile I have had terrible bwlky cramps all day do, anyone gets that with icing? Not on one side more like accross my belly.
dtd last night, when should we do it again? DP was reluctant last njght so my chances tonight are slim.

quark I hope everything is ok, let us know when you've seen the doc and what they say thanks

QuarksInAPearTickle Wed 25-Sep-13 16:57:02

Yay for your EWCM Pizza! If you can't jump on your Dh tonight try again tomorrow!

essie when might you poas?

Ok Doctor couldn't really tell me one way or another so she has referred me to the hospital for a scan first thing tomorrow. She didn't rule out miscarriage. It's not really sinking in, it feels like it's happening to someone else.

pizzaqueen Wed 25-Sep-13 17:18:37

how far along do you think you might be quarks? I think if its less than 4/5 weeks they might not see anything on the scan. I really hope everything is ok. Thinking about you. Try to relax tonight. thanks

QuarksInAPearTickle Wed 25-Sep-13 17:25:36

Thanks pizza I could be 6 weeks. They warned me I might not see anything. Will just have to wait and see.

Nessalina Wed 25-Sep-13 18:34:24

Wow Quark, that is both exciting and scary! I had an early scan at 6 + 3 because I was having spotting, and they could see a lil blob with a heartbeat, so hope you get the same reassurance! Fx and tx for you thanksthanksthanks

lil1ady Wed 25-Sep-13 18:58:05

fx for you quark. just think of those ppl who don't realise they are pg until they are 4minths gone because they didn't miss a period. it happens so there us hope. sending positive vibes and baby dust your way for tomorrow's scan.

yay for the ewcm pizza just bd as soon as you can. if you did it last night you are in with a chance. but just keep dtd. ewcm doesn't mean you are about to ov necessarily. I get if from end of AF right up to icing except this month it seems

my ewcm seems to have reappeared last couple of days and on cd19 so hoping icing is imminent. have told dh to prepare for lots of jsing!

loving the mental picture if jizz cups in bras!

min how was Ur meeting?

hope you are OK over in the pity pool civicthanks

Maggie, Essie POAS for crying out loud! please, for me, I'm in withdrawal!

DulcetMoans Wed 25-Sep-13 18:59:02

Good you will get some answers quark, hope you get to see the quarkllet on board.

Essie - why oh why are you not POAS?! I say he's happy to use it, he won't put himself out to do it because he doesn't think we need to. Not easy with open hours of 11.30-3.30. That is too much effort for him.

Yay for EWCM pizza! Get on it!

Minion Wed 25-Sep-13 19:30:51

Are we cheer leading for EWCM now? Brilliant, go egg white, go egg white!
Meeting was fine, told us about some things that they told us about last time, we said no to loads of things we said no to last time... Still, pretty well paid for it and it gets me out of a day flying.

Husband has just text to say we are now going out to the casino on Saturday to celebrate me getting to 31. Lovely.

5 dpo here. Stinging nips and familiar feeling of pressure in ab and slight back out, going by the previous months, I'm out.

fifi669 Wed 25-Sep-13 20:30:12

quark I had an early scan at 6 weeks due to left side pain and the worry of an ectopic pregnancy. They couldn't see anything at all, at 8 weeks there was DS! So all isn't lost if you don't see what you hope

AuntieMaggie Wed 25-Sep-13 23:16:29

I did a test this afternoon... nope not pregnant. Goodness knows wtf is going on with my body. My cycles aren't regular but I don't think they're usually this long... I don't know what this fatigue is about.

Redshoes56 Thu 26-Sep-13 02:47:53

\smile/ There's the egg white cheerleader!

I am hoping for the best for you, quark. Let us know how things go.

Keep hope up Maggie maybe the BFP is just taking its sweet time?

Essie, my husband was similarly resistant about the semen analysis. They don't mean to make us feel bad, I think that it's just such a blow to the male ego to find out that there's something wrong. It's much easier for them to live in denial - and that turns into putting it off or putting it on us - than to find out they are failing their one biological duty, to procreate. DH was really devastated to get his results, not going to lie. But if they don't offer up the samples, we can't make decisions. Man up and fill up those cups, boys.

EssiesInvisibleLlama Thu 26-Sep-13 10:08:11

Quark, got everything crossed for you the scan shows up something positive. Hope you are ok. Thinking of you.

Sorry for the BFN Maggie, you are not out yet though. Fx.

My DH was happy last night cos he had a good ego boosting day at work and I didn't mention TTC. Going to try and leave the topic alone for a while so he can think about it in his man cave for a while. I scored yet more points by cooking him a fave meal and I made him a cup of tea this morning before I left for work. Yes, I am a creep, but I just want him to relax and not think life as we know it has vanished!

Sorry viriods, still haven't piar. Will do it tonight I promise. Breadsticks really sore, and normally they are about a week after ov, so actually beginning to thing perhaps I've ovved late this cycle? Which brings me to my latest question. The week-after-ov-breadstick-pain that many of us suffer, is that the progestrone surge that they are looking for when they do the day 21 bloods?

Promise I'll piar later, or if I have time to pop home at lunch then I'll do one then. CD 32, but my cycles recently have varied from 28-34 days, not to mention, my cervix is nearly closed up! So don't get too excited!

DulcetMoans Thu 26-Sep-13 12:43:08

We cheer for anything nowadays minion!

Ill be checking every half hour for your results too then essie! Excellent working on the creeping though!

Any news quark? Hope you're ok!

QuarksInAPearTickle Thu 26-Sep-13 13:44:24

Exciting poas action essie!

Nothing showed up in the external and internal scan sad. They have taken my bloods and will go back and get more taken in 48 hours. They can't rule anything out now so we have to wait and see. Thank you for all being so lovely and sorry for bringing the thread down.

ZingWantsCake Thu 26-Sep-13 14:10:43

nosense, you are not bringing anyone down!
sorry to hear that you are having a terrible time!thanks
but you can't tell for sure what's going on just yet, cling on to hope, all could be well!

sending you lots of hugs and strength and anti-stressing vibes.

EssiesInvisibleLlama Thu 26-Sep-13 14:33:12

Oh quark how frustrating to not be any further forward. Hope you don't have to wait long for the blood test results. You are not bringing the fred down. Thats what this fred is for. Keep us posted. We're all rooting for you.

So I piar. BFN. Sorry folks. Think maybe I ovved late, though I had a fleeting moment of EWCM exactly 2 weeks ago today. I will piar again on Sat or Sun morning with fmu if no ERTD by then. hmm

QuarksInAPearTickle Thu 26-Sep-13 15:17:54

Thanks all, just heard back from the docs. Blood tests revealed that I am no longer pregnant due to low hormone level. So i did have a very early miscarriage. Feeling a bit numb really, it feels like it has happened to someone else. Once bleeding stops me and DH will be getting straight back to it and JSing all the way! Thanks again all.

essie sorry to hear about your BFN. Fingers crossed for the weekend.

ZingWantsCake Thu 26-Sep-13 15:21:53

Quark sad sad thanks

so sorry!

EssiesInvisibleLlama Thu 26-Sep-13 15:37:34

oh Quark, I'm sorry. Here to hold your virtual hand and make you lots of cyberbrew. Love x

Minion Thu 26-Sep-13 16:01:42

So sorry essie, that's shit, I hope hubby is feeding you lots of cake and tea and that he's being looked after too.
We're here to cheerlead you on on the next shagathon xxx

Here we are 6dpo, very sore nips (as per) but woke this morning feeling sick, but that's more than likely due to it having been 4:15 am (bork) and small sharp twinges. This twotting malarkey is reet boring x

lil1ady Thu 26-Sep-13 17:13:32

sorry to hear that quark lots of hugsthanks and brew for you. I've said it before but I'll say it again now. u conceived, that's a good thing. its shit what's happened but try and take that one good thing from it.thanks thanks

sorry about bfn Essie

Redshoes56 Thu 26-Sep-13 17:37:22

Just popping in between meetings (back to work after being out sick, and crazed). So sorry quark - thanks. And boo on all the BFNs. Cheerleading commencing for success next go-round.

I have some good news, at least - my saline sonogram (which was MUCH easier than the HSG, not painful) showed no uterine defects at all. The doctor suspects that the radiologist who did the HSG was looking at a gas bubble or a shadow when she made the note that I had a possible defect. So I don't need surgery. Phew.

fifi669 Thu 26-Sep-13 18:16:18

Sorry to hear that quark sad as lil said take some comfort in knowing that you can conceive...

Good news there red!

I'm now 7dpo and trying not to notice I haven't had any AF type cramps yet..... <twiddles thumbs>

cookielove Thu 26-Sep-13 19:05:20

Sorry to hear your news quark!

fifi669 Thu 26-Sep-13 19:37:46

Anyone else beginning to think they are a little too obsessed with their downstairs? CM, cramps, cervix etc

lil1ady Thu 26-Sep-13 19:39:44

I'm passed obsessed Fifi I've made an Olympic sport of it!

lil1ady Thu 26-Sep-13 19:41:09

yay for no surgery red woop woop

pizzaqueen Thu 26-Sep-13 19:56:26

so sorry quark thanks take some time to process things it'll be a lot for you to take in right now.wine

fifi yes totally passed obsesses, cervix, cm, twinges, peeing on contraband sticks...it's taking over my life. I need a real hobby!

Took a lot of persuasion for a tired dp to dtd last night!! I think he'd sleep on the couch if I try to make a move tonight but I feel like we should do just one more for luck wink .

cookielove Thu 26-Sep-13 20:04:06

fifi I got very obsessed when we were ttc. And I imagine when we get back on the horse I will be straight back to being obsessed again.

Emrc is on Tuesday. And then sad as it is sad we will be back to it! Fx the next one sticks. (Although technically this one is quite sticky as it is still in me)

AuntieMaggie Thu 26-Sep-13 20:27:50

I am fifi

How do they/you know if you actually release an egg? I mean surely you can exhibit all of the symptoms but how can they tell if you actually do release an egg too?

fifi669 Thu 26-Sep-13 20:36:11

My friend just had tests and had high prolactin or something so was told she wouldn't be ovulating... Is a blood test the only way to know?

A question..... If the egg is fertilised.... Will it always implant? Or is that a lottery too?

AuntieMaggie Thu 26-Sep-13 20:42:16

Thanks fifi

A lottery too from what I understand...

pizzaqueen Thu 26-Sep-13 21:17:17

maggie i think the only way to truly know if you've ovulated is tracking basal body temperature or a blood test.

personally I can't be arsed with bbt and dp would think I'm a crazy lady.

Thing that worries me is you can get all the signs ewcm, ov pain, postive opk, high soft cervix and still not ovulate. But trying to push that thought to the back of my mind.

Nessalina Thu 26-Sep-13 22:18:53

Rotten news Quark, really sorry to hear and I hope you're taking it easy sad I'll second what Lil said: the silver lining is that it's kinda good to know that everything's in working order and you have the baby making power - it'll be your month very soon I'm sure smile
Also sorry to hear no BFP for you Essie!
Good news for Red though, really glad to hear things are better than you thought! smile

fifi669 Thu 26-Sep-13 22:30:03

All this high soft cervix marlarky.... How do you know?

DulcetMoans Thu 26-Sep-13 22:46:01

So sorry quark, not what anyone wanted to happen. Hope you feel ready to try again soon. We will be here to cheer when you do!

Good news on the radiologist though red, hope it leaves you feeling positive.

I cant be bothered with bbt either pizza but I am defo too concerned with the contents of my knickers than is healthy. Makes going to the loo exciting though, what might I find?!

Legs in the air now, trying not to cough!

lil1ady Fri 27-Sep-13 07:47:41

here's some stories about my dh to make you all laugh/smile this morning

1. he keeps saying out loud presumably talking to sod that it would be really bad if I got up duffed this month as he has no work lined up atm

2. he has been talking to my ovaries telling them to send a good egg and find his swimmers hopefully sod didn't hear that one very sweet was that he also told the egg to find a girl swimmer cos he knows I'd like a girl!

I think it gets to the men as much as us after all, they just don't normally show it!

hopefully we will have another bfp on here soon to cheer us all up.

wine for everyone grin

ZingWantsCake Fri 27-Sep-13 07:57:22

lil I like your style - wine before 8am? you are no amateur! grin

ZingWantsCake Fri 27-Sep-13 07:57:46

and MrLil is funny/sweet

EssiesInvisibleLlama Fri 27-Sep-13 10:48:38

Hi everyone.

Good news Red - yay! We needed some on here.

What a sad week its been on our fred. sad

flowers and brew and cake and wine for those going through sad times right now.

Breadsticks still really sore, but no ERTD. Not poa nother s yet, can't be arsed because I know what it will say. I reckon I ovved v late, that somehow, because I was stressing about my colp, my body held off til after that, and I ovved about then? I was in a right flap about it so it's possible?

Yeah, how do people tell what their cervix is doing? I only know mine is mutilated because I've been and had a camera shoved up there. No way I can tell what it's doing myself?! Don't fancy going poking around in there either.

Anyone got nice weekend plans? I'm going to see Rush at the cinema tonight. Not really into racing cares but DH has somehow pursuaded me it'll be really good.

pizzaqueen Fri 27-Sep-13 13:57:09

Get ready for my total overshare, look away now if you don't want to know!

I have to admit I've started checking my cervix this cycle blush . It's perhaps slightly easier as I've given birth before to a massive over 9 pounder so things have never been quite the same since then and more accessible than it used to beblush . (there's something to put you off ttc right there wink ).

I have noticed very subtle changes high/low, soft/hard...but can't tell if it's just my imagination wanting me to find something different. It also seems slightly off to one side and I don't know if thats normal or not....

EssiesInvisibleLlama Fri 27-Sep-13 14:00:49

You are braver than me pizza, I'm way too scared to prod about incase I break something else. I wouldn't know which bit was my cervix if I found it anyway! blush

AuntieMaggie Fri 27-Sep-13 16:07:55

Still no ertd here. Spent the morning with lots of lovely babies/toddlers feeling really broody. Perhaps I should start feeling my cervix...

FurryScoob Fri 27-Sep-13 16:45:09

Oh no, what a sad week wine for everyone this weekend!
This lucky unicorn needs a kick up the backside it's not being very lucky anymore.

I should be icing next at the end of next week but had pink cm this morning, anybody else had this? Should I be worried or putting my cape on & jumping on DP?

fifi669 Fri 27-Sep-13 17:01:34

pizza do you just pop in a finger and fish about?

lil1ady Fri 27-Sep-13 18:45:40

furry get shagging!

I've tried to see if I can tell changes in my cervix but I can't tell anything more than high or low so I stopped bothering!

pizzaqueen Fri 27-Sep-13 20:11:07

Pretty much fifi

this page was useful (sorry if link doesn't work I'm on my phone)

DulcetMoans Fri 27-Sep-13 20:56:04

Wow. A lot of people will be discovering themselves this weekend by the sounds of it! I'm not keen to dig around too much but then I didn't even know there were noticeable changes until reading this today. Might start paying more attention!

I think the dirty students have diseased me and they've only been back a week! Stupid cough going on!

fifi669 Fri 27-Sep-13 20:56:53

Having mild cramping so consoling myself with muchos chocolate and some koppaberg. Stupid uterus.

Nessalina Fri 27-Sep-13 22:37:26

Off topic, but what did you think of 'Rush' Essie? smile I saw it last week and loved it! The chap playing James Hunt is H O T grin

EssiesInvisibleLlama Sat 28-Sep-13 08:31:06

Omg it was amazing. Yes Hunt is totally hot and Lauda is so brilliantly acted. I am not remotely into cars but I loved it. Fab film. Highly recommended!

In other news. Cd 34, no ertd. Boobs still hurt. Longest cycle ever. Will poas again tomorrow am if still nothing.

Minion Sat 28-Sep-13 09:37:05

Guten morgen (sp) viroids.
One is celebrating her birthday today and as soon as my hair figured this out it sprouted 2 greys overnight. Gash!
In other news, up half the night with that horrid type of nausea where you just are shaking and sweating. Had to lie down with a cool breeze over me for a short while. I'm hoping it's the start of someone positive, but I had a few drinks and a Chinese takeaway last night, chances are, it's that.
Still feel sick now but will not let it stop my day. Also boobs aren't nearly as sore as they usually are either and I'm on 8dpo... Result!

cookielove Sat 28-Sep-13 09:42:02

Hello all.

We've made a decision, op is in tues, af should return 4-6 weeks later which puts us at beginning to mid November, will get back on the js band wagon then, which means if on the off chance up duffage occurs a
Immediately unlikely then I will be 7 months pregnant at my brother's wedding in California. Does that sound insane?

AuntieMaggie Sat 28-Sep-13 14:07:47

cookie not insane but you need to be prepared for the fact that if you do fall pregnant straight away you may not be upto the wedding. If this hadn't happened you'd have been roughly 9 months at the time of the wedding anyway wouldn't you?

Some will tell you to wait but if I've learnt anything its that you've got to take every chance you have cos they may not come along very often. I can't remember how long you've been ttc but I know plenty of people who have been ttc for a long time irl and wish they hadn't put it off.

Bearfacedchic Sat 28-Sep-13 14:07:58

Will you still be able to travel Cookie? Good to see you back but wish it was under different circumstances.

Sorry Quark. Thinking of you. thanks at least though if they know it's your hormones they might be able to do something about it.

Sorry to all the BFNs. thanks

Great news Red! So pleased for you and that it didn't hurt either.

Get well soon Minion.

Just dropping in as I'm totally shattered. Had to work this morning and so was up at 6.30. I really need my sleep so not fairing well and I don't want to get rundown and sick again so I might go to bed for a bit now. Nothing to report here - no shagging going in but will get back on the wagon next month. Roll on then.

Hope you're all okay and able to have a relaxing weekend even if things are a bit rough for some of you.

cookielove Sat 28-Sep-13 14:40:20

Yes yes I wilk be able to travel. The baby would have been two months old at the wedding! So on the off chance I got pregnant almost immediately I would be 7 months pregnant at the wedding. Wedding is the 15th of June.

When we were told the baby died one of the first things I asked was how soon I could try again they said as soon as we wanted to.

AuntieMaggie Sat 28-Sep-13 14:44:03

Sorry Cookie I got confused with the 8 weeks thing.

Officially you may be able to travel but you may not feel up to it come the time.

Bearfacedchic Sat 28-Sep-13 16:51:33

I think you should go for it if you feel ready Cookie, but as Maggie said just be prepared for every eventuality. Glad you are feeling okay. X

lil1ady Sat 28-Sep-13 21:56:30

cookie forget the wedding. you will deal with that when u get to it. if you feel ready to try again straight away go for it. no use worrying about the wedding until you have to.

minion happy birthday and hope you've felt well enough to enjoy it.

bear is it nice to not be having to worry how many days since your last shag?grin

well I think I iced yesterday so I've eaten a fifth of pineapple today including the core. not as bad as I thought but my tongue is now soreconfused

AuntieMaggie Sat 28-Sep-13 23:37:05

Lol lol1ady - it's supposed to be good for your throat too but it tenderises meat too I was told...

Well Brown discharge this eve (sorry for the tmi) so ertd may well be on its way...

Bearfacedchic Sun 29-Sep-13 00:30:57

It's kind of okay Lil. It's nice to not be counting days and shags, but more do its nice to not have to do it if we don't want to. I was tired tonight so we haven't bothered.

Right, so I know this is going to make me sound bitter and twisted but I can't help resenting SIL who has a baby and keeps bloody posting pics everywhere. She struggled to get upduffed and now she has her bubba, it feels like she doesn't know when to stop. I just wanted to get it off my chest that she does my head in anyway, so when she posts about her baby I get even more annoyed because she's so flipping self-congratulatory about it all. Grrrrrr. I can't fully explain everything behind my annoyance on here, but I'm just feeling angry at her attitude.

Plus, I'm just having a pissed off, why the chuff do some people get their babies so easily? Why can't I be one of those people? It's just so unfair. sad <drops into the pity pool>

Bearfacedchic Sun 29-Sep-13 00:32:14

Hang in there Maggie.

ZingWantsCake Sun 29-Sep-13 00:41:10

you need to sprinkle a bit of salt on pineapple - it stops your mouth from being sore!

DulcetMoans Sun 29-Sep-13 08:56:29

Don't worry bear, we all get like that. It really isn't fair and we just happen to be the ones losing out. All I try and do is remember that other people's fertility has no direct impact on my own. Just because they get pregnant is not the reason I can't. Doesn't stop me wanting to cry when I see another scan picture or get told how easy someone else found it!

I say go for it when you are ready too cookie. If I had known it would be this hard I would have started trying earlier. You just never know. So long as you are aware you might have a long haul flight quite late on, you can deal with the logistics if you need to. Don't put your life on hold for someone else's.

Any progress on the sickness minion??

Pineapple makes my tongue sore too lil. Still like it though!

EssiesInvisibleLlama Sun 29-Sep-13 08:58:41

minion wishing you a belated happy birthday.

bear vent all you like. It's an irritation I share with you. Not my sil, but friends who do the same. Seems the moment they get upduffed the memory of struggling to get there vanishes and with it the ability to be sympathetic to anyone else in the same position. A friend who took 2 years to conceive told me yesterday I should get preggers and give up work 'cos it's great fun' - wtf do you say to that?! If you are taking about facebook too, I'm not sure how I feel about documenting your dc's childhood on there anyway. They will grow up into adults and might not want their baby pics all over the www? Or am I showing my age?!

Minion Sun 29-Sep-13 09:13:55

Thanks for the birthday wishes girls, had a lovely day.
The nausea continued throughout yesterday but I still managed to eat everything put in front of me (like a trooper I might add). Had the most gorgeous meal at piccolino, asparagus, lamb and panna cotta..yum yum!
Still no PMS. Even nipple have dies down. Tis very odd.

lil1ady Sun 29-Sep-13 09:49:55

hoping it means something min and sickness too hmm

zing I read its the bromelain that hurts your mouth so if I put salt on to stop the pain won't that stop the bromelain working?

bear vent away. its bloody annoying isn't it. like Essie I keep getting told by someone at work I should have a baby so I can have a year off. wtf do I say to that? "thanks I'm working on it" problem is work us causing me so much stress its probably stopping me getting upduffed! grrr OK sorry, sidetracked into my own rant there...

cooking roast for my family today so best get on smile

AuntieMaggie Sun 29-Sep-13 14:48:18

Well at least now ertd is here I can start counting again... I made my cycle somewhere between 35 and 40 days last month.

It's the core that makes your mouth sore I think lil

EssiesInvisibleLlama Sun 29-Sep-13 16:37:25

Oh ffs. Whats wrong with my stupid body. A week late now and another bfn to add to the collection. Boob still sore which is weird as that usually only lasts a couple of days. I'm stuck in a post icing groundhog day.

AhoyMcCoy Sun 29-Sep-13 20:12:56

<knocks on door tentatively>

Can I join? No kids- found out I was pregnant in June the day me and DH got back from our honeymoon. Miscarried at 11 weeks in August. Have had two periods since- my second period arrived this evening and it's floored me. Me and DH had sex EVERY DAY this month goddamn it!

I don't want to start temp charting etc, partly because I don't really understand all that stuff, and party because it seems too early to start becoming obsessed about it all. SO can I pull up a chair and join you JSers?!

lil1ady Sun 29-Sep-13 20:21:06

welcome ahoy sorry to hear about your mc. and sorry the witch has got you again this month. we have a pity jacuzzi if you need a dip. and we have shag capes too so start designing yours for when ertd f's off grin

mine was pink and fluffy this month. think in the twot now so hopefully won't need another one.

how's everyone's weekend been?

ZingWantsCake Sun 29-Sep-13 20:59:12

ahoy so sorry to hear you lost a baby.thanks
it's devastating.
be kind to yourself and allow yourself to grieve.
