Please join the new bus here, the old one's all out of gas....

ChubbyKitty Thu 29-Aug-13 23:48:22

Yay near the top.

So much waiting.

internationallove985 Thu 29-Aug-13 23:48:50

Hi Kemie. I'm coming on board. The witch is due on Sat. Had a very unusually busy week of D.T.D. I only usually do it Weds, Fri and Sat. However due to circumstances being a little different this week. We D.T.D Monday and managed a quickie earlier on today (so we had 2 extra days this week,) so who knows perhaps that's helped. xxx
Up to now it's been 13 times this week and there's still more planned for tommorow. xx

Thanks kemie for starting the new thread smile Night all! Excited to find out what tmrw brings grin

cheesysmile Fri 30-Aug-13 00:05:43

Ooo new bus already, thanks for adding me to the list kemie smile

This bus really does move fast, im struggling to keep up!

VJ you asked abt getting up in the night and temping. Basically there are loads of best case rules but if you do give it a go you should just do the best you can. It will be an overall pattern you're looking for so can ignore the odd random temperature that arises. I often get up in the night / sleep in at weekends etc and I still get a good chart. If you plot on an app on your phone it does a graph for you.

Good luck to those poas in the morning!

internationallove985 Fri 30-Aug-13 00:16:00

Indeed Good luck to all those P.O.A.S tommorow. xx

snoozysleeper Fri 30-Aug-13 00:34:55

Can't believe new bus already shock there is some very speedy chatting going on

Thank you kemie for setting up new bus and fx for everyone

ChubbyKitty Fri 30-Aug-13 00:54:34

Will it be too soon to test? Will I drive myself mad or would it be wise to check before Saturday night? Hmmm.

Never thought peeing could be so complex.

ThreeFromDesire Fri 30-Aug-13 01:09:31

I'm jumping off the August bus and hopping on here! No tests available to me and af due tomorrow but busy day so although it pains me I shall be holding off testing until the 1st September if af is a no show.

Ill officially join once I know dates.

Good luck to anyone testing in the am! smile

englishteacher78 Fri 30-Aug-13 06:12:45

Jumping on. Anyone else have a DH who works shifts? How do you find the time to DTD.

jaykay987 Fri 30-Aug-13 06:31:36

Yay...new bus. I think I'll be here awhile. Anyone mind if I grab a window seat?!

English - not shifts (Im sure someone wiser will come round soon!). But myself and DH can travel with work. We've both been at home for awhile, but long hours and a commute mean we spend less than 90minutes at home together a day (awake!). So weekdays are super difficult and weekends are ok. It's a worry as Im concerned we may only have a limited time where we're both at home but weekdays are difficult due to the lack of time! If my fertile window doesn't cover a weekend then there is a significant possibility we'll miss it. Eek!

Combine that with a fluctuating and long cycle - starting to worry this is going to take forever! Aggghhhhh!

Feel better now!

PIL are staying this weekend. Could put ruin to this month. I thought my fertile window would be last weekend, but ovulation is really late. However, day seven of flashing smileys this morning. So maybe PIL will be gone before ov turns up - so Im not out yet!

Can someone please change my BFP date to 17th?

Thanks!

FX for anyone POAS this weekend!

ArmyLovin Fri 30-Aug-13 06:57:06

Hellooo everyone! Just kicked off the August bus by my fertility nurse who confirmed I wasn't pregnant this cycle hmm

PinkHat1 Fri 30-Aug-13 07:32:32

New bus already? (takes a comfy seat) my cycle is all over the place making it quite hard to know when I'm ovulating so i will be stocking up on OPKs! Good luck to everyone testing over this weekend, there's quite of few of you fingers crossed we see some BFP! :-)
(ps can someone remove me from the list as I won't be testing on the 1st, will be the 22 now as AF got me on Monday, old witch!)

wispaxmas Fri 30-Aug-13 07:57:45

Wait for the 5th, CK! Early testing is the devil! I wasted 4 hpts last months because I was sure I was pg, despite the repeated bfn. Just a waste of money. All the symptoms of pg only show up after you miss your period, anyways, as any other 'symptoms' could just as easily be PMS (other than implantation bleeding).

Go distract yourself with something fun for a few days and test when you're due cake

wispaxmas Fri 30-Aug-13 07:59:34

I feel ridiculously excited for charting my first BBT this morning. How silly, I just hope it actually works out to make sense and I can read the chart accurately.

VickyVix Fri 30-Aug-13 08:04:17

Ah a shiny new bus, thanks for setting it up, we'll have a whole fleet by the end of September at this rate.

Kemie we are indeed cycle buddies, will try my best to hold out until 4th. (My real BFP is 5th) I think but I'll be away so need to test before for my sanity otherwise would need to test mid flight.......considers possibility of hogging plane toilet for 10 mins..... that is if AF doesn't turn up before then!

Had some really crazy dreams last night, even one where I was pregnant, fancy that, I can't think why that would be grin

How did everyone get on this morning? Any news?

DisneyDiva87 Fri 30-Aug-13 08:09:08

Morning!

Gutted my tests didn't arrive yesterday but maybe they'll come today. If they do ill be using them as soon as I get home and tomorrow morning as well smile good luck to my fellow poas-ers. I'm pretty sure I'm not preggers now so I'm expecting a big fat N-O

wispaxmas Fri 30-Aug-13 08:10:35

I don't know why, but I think finding out on an airplane would be cool. Because I'm ridiculous and of course you want to know before you go, but if you don't get a + before, test on the plane, too grin

VickyVix Fri 30-Aug-13 08:24:26

Ah sorry your tests didn't show up disney

I am kind of tempted to give the plane thing a go to be honest, i am quite ridiculous too.....if not just for my own amusement to pass the time grin

englishteacher78 Fri 30-Aug-13 08:32:05

We had Chinese last night and I ate a little too much, resulted in a bit of a food baby - made me even more broody! How ridiculous am I?grin

CoffeeGuzzler Fri 30-Aug-13 08:32:08

Morning ladies. brew

Day seven of the blasted flashing smiley. jaykay you and I are opk buddies it looks like.

Fairly convinced at this point that I don't ovulate.

CoffeeGuzzler Fri 30-Aug-13 08:34:13

englishreacher not ridiculous at all. Happens to me all the time.

onelifeonechance Fri 30-Aug-13 08:34:43

Morning ladies,

I'm afraid i've stalled the bus abit as I've po2s - one Sainsburys cheapy and one even cheaper Onestep one from whisper it Savers ahem and i'm sorry to say they were both definite BFNs. Wasn't a big shock to be honest but there's always that bit of hope to tease you. The way i'm feeling is clearly af on her way to pay me a visit sometime soon.

But, the good news is if she does then think I get to stay on this shiny new bus with you lovely ladies (if you'll have me? I don't mind stumping up for a monthly saver ticket) as seem to be having pretty short cycles so depending when she shows think i'll be due my BFP end of Sept.

So - i need your help please. I really want to use opks this month, more as a reassurance to me that I'm ov (since coming off the pill in Feb i've always had ewcm around day 10 so just been going by that but didn't have any last month so really want to see if I can pinpoint it more accurately). I'm sat at my computer with my cash card ready- what are the best ones and what do i need to order? And also feeling slightly ashamed by my choice of pg tests so all advice on what the cool kids are using welcome.

Hoping the others testing this morning have had better luck and that someone can put this bus back into neutral and restart the engine to get us chugging along to BFPville smile

Kemie Fri 30-Aug-13 08:43:31

Well I continue to have rediculously sore boobs!! Yesterday I started getting AF type cramping, approx 9/10 dpo as don't chart or anything... Told other half who said can you do a test? This was after he said I wasn't to test till I missed AF! Think I should still wait just in case I'm have an incredibly akward cycle! my head is telling me to calm the f**k down whilst my body is doing its best to convince me otherwise confused

CoffeeGuzzler Fri 30-Aug-13 08:43:49

Aw one life sorry to hear that. Ah well. Clearblue digital dual hormone seems to be very popular.

mama31 Fri 30-Aug-13 08:48:37

Onelife sorry to hear that but would be cool for you to stay on this bus and get a BFP end of this month!!!! smile

Can't believe we are on a lovely new bus already....hope there's a seat left for me....

Nothing really to report...had a few cramps/bloated feeling last night which could be pretty much anything!

mama31 Fri 30-Aug-13 08:50:46

Disney I wonder how long for amazon to deliver! As you ordered yours a couple of days before me so ill not be expecting the delivery for a few days yet (prob a good thing so I'm not obsessively testing way too early)

internationallove985 Fri 30-Aug-13 08:58:55

Just popped in very quickly to see if we have any B.F.P's. Also seen we have a newbie but can'e remember your name (It's on the first page) Pink something comes to mind, anyway welcome aboard.
English teacher. I only get to D.T.D 3 days a week occasionally only 2 if he doesn't stay over on a Friday due to work ect. This weeks amount of D.T.D has been a total fluke. Doubt that will happen again in long time. However on a personal level I'm happy with just a few days a week. There's not much advice I can give you as no-one can me advice, your circumstances are what they are and short of hitting the jackpot, people have to go to work. xx

chattychattyboomba Fri 30-Aug-13 08:59:11

Jumping on the bus!

cheesysmile Fri 30-Aug-13 09:05:14

Ha ha ... Vicky I have an imagine of you running in slow motion out of the plan toilet test in hand shouting its a positive! True Hollywood style! grin

mrsmummytobe Fri 30-Aug-13 09:12:24

Sorry to hear that onelife. Let's hope you get a bfp very soon! Afraid I can't help you with the opks but I'm interested to hear what others have to say as I think I'll try them if I get a bfn this month.

The results of my 21 day blood test have come back - perfectly normal! Yay! grin

blamber Fri 30-Aug-13 09:14:41

Hi everyone! I'd like to join the bus please. I changed my name from blueamber.

I'm in my second cycle since coming off the pill, but the first one was very long and when I eventually ovulated I got my AF 8 days later, so I'm not counting it!

This cycle has been a bit better. I got all the signs of ovulation two weeks after AF, but then I had a job interview and the stress delayed ov by a week! I got my temp shift this morning though, so I'm in the 2ww.

onelifechance, you can either get expensive clearblue advanced opks, which tell you a few days in advance your LH surge could be coming up. You use these in the morning, but recently the price has gone up to £38 for 20. Or you can buy cheap ones off ebay or amazon. The cheapest ones are those that you dip in a cup of urine, such as the One Step ones. You use this late morning/afternoon or evening and to be sure you won't miss the LH surge, some use 2 or 3 a day. You can get any number you like, for instance I think you can get 30 for £3. Then there are more expensive ones, that you hold midstream, which are I think £11 for 30 or something. They work the same as the cheaper ones, but are easier to use as you won need to collect your wee in a cup. It's up to you, what you would find easier and how much you want to spend.

Can you tell I wrote that from page 1 not realising there is a page 2 already blush

Sorry you got a bfn onelife. I don't have much advise on the OPK front I'm afraid, but have bought myself some digital clearblue ones for this month - will be first month using them though. If you want confirmation that you have actually ovulated maybe order a BBT thermometer as well? Feel like I've been talking about temping alot but I do find seeing that temperature rise at ovulation very reassuring that things are working properly. In terms of preg tests I have used Superdrug ones as they are really sensitive and a lot cheaper boots/clearblue etc. I've not used internet cheapies but have heard they are good as well as also very sensitive.

Kemie - hope its a good sign! I think prob best to hold out on the testing front if you can so you'll have a more definite answer when you do ... difficult though I know.

English - ha ha I get a food baby on a far too a regular basis and know exactly what you mean!

Well still no AF & just BFN on a test this morning... Surely it would show up by now? Back at work on Monday (teaching) & I so do not want to go back sad

leezl Fri 30-Aug-13 09:23:43

Morning all! Would somebody update my details for me please? I only ever access the forum on my phone so I'm a bit restricted!

Leezl ttc#1 cycle 2 bfp 25th smile

Thank you!
AF has buggered off at last so I can start getting some action in wink

onelifeonechance Fri 30-Aug-13 09:26:04

Thanks for the info/advice/internet hand holding everyone smile really does help to know we're all rooting for each other.

Jessica78 how many dpo are you??

onelifeonechance Fri 30-Aug-13 09:28:16

Oh and yay to you and your perfectly normal test results Mrsmtobe smile that's great news!

Jumping on! Think we need a double decker. I bagsie the front top seat grin
Welcome new passengers!

Jessica78 Fri 30-Aug-13 09:32:26

Hi onelife - 15dpo...

SuzB83 Fri 30-Aug-13 09:35:11

Sorry to hear that onelife. I got a bfn this morning too. Not kicking myself off the bus yet though. Still a few days early and my cycles have been a bit messed up.

Need your opinions too ladies, it's my birthday tomorrow and going out for meals over the weekend with family and friends. We haven't told anyone that we're ttc (didn't want the added pressure), but I don't want to have to tell them all because I'm not drinking. Don't know if its ok for me to just have a couple and then switch to soft drinks or whether to just tell everyone...

mrsmummytobe Fri 30-Aug-13 09:41:04

Thanks onelife smile

Sorry to hear about your bfn suz, but as you said it's not over until af rears her ugly head! Think everyone's different with ideas on drinking while ttc. I've heard that if you are pg you will feel tipsy very quickly - not sure if anyone else has heard of/experienced this?

onelifeonechance Fri 30-Aug-13 09:48:22

Ah Suz i'm sorry you got a BFN too. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you that af stays away and you get to test again soon.

I have the same dilemma on the drinking front. If we have been out with people then I've sometimes had one white wine spritzer and then moved on to the soft drinks - nobody has said anything and its felt less noticable then if you order soft drinks from the word go.

At the beginning of all this i really didn't want to tell anyone we're ttc (and still haven't, hence you guys becoming my new bff's!) but the longer it's going on i think if someone directly asked me now i'd tell them. It feels weird not telling friends such an important thing but then I also don't want to feel the pressure from people asking how it's going all the time if it's not happening.

Anyhoo sorry not sure that's helped! But wishing you a very happy birthday eve for today smile

I had a night on the becks blue last night with hubby. Tastes the same to me, so for anyone who wants to get away with it and if you like lager, might be worth buying them and putting it in a glass as obviously the bottle says alcohol free.
Kopparberg do an alch free one too x

mama31 Fri 30-Aug-13 09:59:40

Sorry suz! But yes not over just yet!!

Mrsmummytobe great about your results! smile how's your willpower going re preg testing?? Have you got any tests in your house yet?

I have a feeling sept may not be my month...don't know why just think might not be!

onelifeonechance Fri 30-Aug-13 10:01:49

Is that the first time you tested Jess? I'm 14dpo (no idea actually, just an educated guess!) and tested for the first time this morn but BFN. I know on another thread Diamonds didn't get her BFP til 16dpo so if no af there's always a chance.

What's your story? By that i mean do you have regular cycles, are you doing opks or the mother nature way...etc? Can't see you on the list but there's so many of us on here now may easily have missed you!!

onelifeonechance Fri 30-Aug-13 10:02:40

PMA Mama31 grin

internationallove985 Fri 30-Aug-13 10:05:27

Very pleased about your results Mrsmummytobe. I don't know if it's just my paranoia but I think the witch is on her way. I've got pains and just been to the toilet and I'm spotting a bit, or could it be an inplantation bleed. If I do come on today not only will it mean a B.F.P it will also mean no D.T.D till next week (sad face). Will keep you posted. xx

Writerwannabe83 Fri 30-Aug-13 10:05:58

Jess - if it's any reassurance Jess I didn't get my BFP until late afternoon of 16dpo x

internationallove985 Fri 30-Aug-13 10:08:18

Oh Sorry I meant it will mean B.F.N. not B.F.P (lines 3-4) Wish you could edit these posts. x

mrsmummytobe Fri 30-Aug-13 10:20:43

Thanks mama & international smile I'm so pleased to know things are all functioning as they should be lol! After reading the stories on here I can see loads of women have quite messed up cycles when coming off the pill & it's actually pretty normal for the body to take a while to sort itself out!

mama I have loads of tests in the house lol, and I've just ordered those cheapies from amazon too so I'll prob have over 30 soon!! grin My sister is coming to stay today for the weekend though so hopefully that will take my mind off it a bit! How are you holding out? smile

onelifeonechance Fri 30-Aug-13 10:28:09

Writer did you get BFNs before then and on what days? she asks innocently, not getting hopes up at all!!!

PurpleGeekyGirl Fri 30-Aug-13 10:28:42

Marking my place. Have just offloaded on other thread. Am so fed up today hmmconfusedhmmconfusedhmmconfused

mama31 Fri 30-Aug-13 10:29:58

Yes holding out ok as have a busy wkend planned but I reckon come Monday ill be itching to test haha! Or even when the amazon tests arrive....that might tempt me coz they are so cheap! Its hard not knowing why is the 2ww sOoooooooo long!!!

GinandStripes Fri 30-Aug-13 10:30:16

I'm symptom spotting and I told myself I wouldn't and the silliest things!

I've had really bad bloating/possible wind the last 3 nights in a row. googles

I just cried at a picture of a friends baby on facebook, then started laughing at myself and couldn't stop. googles

I'm struggling to type properly today googles

grin

Writerwannabe83 Fri 30-Aug-13 10:33:53

Are you drunk Gin ?? haha grin grin

lucyfluff Fri 30-Aug-13 10:41:11

Sorry to hear the bfn's one life/suz/jessica and anyone else ive missed sad i feel a bit deflated about mine too. Onwards and upwards though....oh onelife I forgot to say I bought my tests from Poundland!!! How cheap is that.......

For those worryimg about a few drinkies, i wouldnt worry too much, obviously dont get tooooo bladdered but im sure a couple of vinos is fine smile

wispaxmas Fri 30-Aug-13 10:47:12

I'm sop excited for sunday to hear about some BFPs. There are 7 of you on the list for then, and I hope you all manage to hold out until then for testing and don't let AF get you! In the meantime for me: cake and wine

SuzB83 Fri 30-Aug-13 10:53:31

Thanks guys. It's so great we can all support each other through the craziness smile. onelife I'm kind of feeling the same now, especially as we've been ttc since jan. If someone asks I think I'll just tell them.

blamber Fri 30-Aug-13 10:53:40

suz, if you don't want to tell anyone your ttc, then have a couple of drinks! It wont do any harm at all if you're pregnant.

LoveWine Fri 30-Aug-13 10:55:45

Hi everyone! I see that the September bus is filling up quickly. I got my BFP on the August bus and wanted to ask if anyone is interested in my leftover ovulation sticks - I would hate for them to go to waste! They are clearblue digital ones and I have 1 sealed stick holder and 7 sticks (without the box and instructions!). If you are interested, please PM me with your address and I can mail them over to you tomorrow morning (for free.)

Good luck to everyone!

mrsmummytobe Fri 30-Aug-13 11:16:24

Think I will be too mama,, especially as the amazon tests are so sensitive as well so could pick it up early... Aghh no testing until the 8th.. Or maybe the 7th smile

mama31 Fri 30-Aug-13 11:28:20

Well we will have cheap tests...so we can test 7th and 8th (if neccessary) smile

mama31 Fri 30-Aug-13 11:29:13

What is the earliest time (dpo) for anyone to get a bfp??!!

CoffeeGuzzler Fri 30-Aug-13 11:56:35

Hugs everyone with bfn. sad

mrsmummytobe so pleased that your bloodwork came well. How does one go about having day 21 test? I might have to get one done. Haven't vseen a doc in years. Would be nice to know that everything is in working order.

Nottalotta Fri 30-Aug-13 12:20:12

Finally got off the August bus......

Please can someone add me?

NottaLotta ttc#1 C3 bfp 24th.

Thank you!

Nottalotta Fri 30-Aug-13 12:23:34

Would like to say yes lovewine if you still have them but can't seem to p.m. On my phone!! Will keep trying....

onelifeonechance Fri 30-Aug-13 12:30:02

Right - i'm off camping for the weekend grin

Have a lovely weekend all and fingers crossed for those testing over the weekend, looking forward to checking in when we're back smile

Owlie84 Fri 30-Aug-13 12:45:41

Hello! just popping in, as as work, and trying not to get caught by the boss!

My Fertility Friend app has given me a green light as a good sign that I'm about to ovulate - never had that happen before, so a good sign? But then I guess it only gives out what you put in.. (so to speak!!) I'm CD15, so I may have to grab DH when we get home!

Have a great trip onelife !

mrsmummytobe Fri 30-Aug-13 13:17:59

Hi coffee I just went to the doctor and they said I could have a swab and blood tests to check everything was ok & my feetility levels were normal. They were really nice about it & it's definitely put my mind at ease.

Have fun one life!

Sorry about the bfn hmm don't give up though until af here. As I said before, I kept testing for 9 days before I got my bfp last time! Good luck!!

Hello new passengers!

Jessica78 Fri 30-Aug-13 13:31:56

Thanks onelife - just realised I haven't introduced myself properly!

This is our fourth month of trying, I'm monitoring my cycle quite closely, but I know that I have a low chance of getting pregnant, but it appears to be meaning more & more to me! My cycles seem to be regular since I had the coil out, but may be slightly longer than average, so I'm trying not to get excited that AF hasn't arrived yet...

Jessica78 ttc#1 c4 bfp should have been 29th...

Hendricks Fri 30-Aug-13 14:00:13

Afternoon everyone! Think I'm caught up with the comings and going on the September buses. Congratulation nanny - hope your BFP is the start of great things to come for this bus.

May break out the tests on Sunday, seeing as I bought a job lot cheap from Amazon. Not suspecting to get anything other than a BFN then though as that will probably only be about 9 or 10 dpo.

justhayley Fri 30-Aug-13 14:18:49

Hiya, ok I was planning to jump on the September bus testing on the 2nd, however I felt a bit impatient today and think I may well have just got a positive!!

My story: have possible PCOS (due to see GP next week), breastfeeding a 16 month old and DP is in the Military so usually only home at weekends. Periods are v irregular - last 3 cycles have been 47, 34, 83 days! Been TTC kind of since October 2012 however because of my cycles and DP not being at home Monday-Friday we've never actually been sure if we've dtd on ovulation - or if I even am ovulating every month.
DP was home for 3 weeks in August where we dtd A LOT. Someone on here sent me a few cheap OPKs in June, and iv been monitoring CM but not temperature. Anyway this month I'm almost positive I ovulated on the 8/9th August. Decided to POAS on the 2nd incase it was a bit later.

Iv just done a test as I was feeling impatient and I have a faint but there line grin don't want to get too excited because the odds are stacked against me but surely a lines a line right?
Shall I wait till Monday and do a digital test or would it come up positive today?
HELP I'm hyperventilating lol

keepswimming1 Fri 30-Aug-13 14:25:17

OMG - Sounds like congratulations are in order JUSTHAYLEY smile

As for a digi test I dont know I'm afraid. May you should just do one and see what happen, from reading others some come up with a positive straight away others.

keepswimming1 Fri 30-Aug-13 14:28:24

Blimey that wasn't very well written was it lol - shows I'm at work

As for a digi test I dont know I'm afraid. Maybe you should just do one and see what happen, from reading others some come up with a positive straight away others dont smile

Springtime26 Fri 30-Aug-13 14:32:49

hello can I join.
ttc #2 cycle4 bfp due between 16th to 22nd.
a quick question for you lovely ladies. I think I have ovulated today. if we dtd today is there still a chance I can get bfp. due to dd we dtd on monday and not after, whivh I am disappointed about.
I know for the best chsnve you are meant to dtd before.
thanks

keepswimming1 Fri 30-Aug-13 14:36:17

springtime - Yes go dtd NOW smile theres every chance you can

Omg congratulations just Hayley!! A line is a line. I never used any expensive tests last time, just the cheapo ones, and that was enough for me grin Thats all they use at the drs if they do a test for you. You must be over the moon!

Right the rest of you symptom spotting, I've gone through my diary and this is what I had last time:

November 2nd: cd1 (2nd proper post period, first one post pill 35 days, started on 5th October, second one 28 days)
Dtd: 2nd, 6th, 7th (twice), 9th, 12th, 13th, 14th
EWCM: 15th
Dtd: 16th
Cramp 17th
Brown streaks 18th
Dtd: 19th, 20th
Dtd and Dreaming 21st
Dreaming 22nd
Dtd: 23rd, 24th, 25th.
Creamy discharge 27th
Dtd 28th
Due on 30th if normal 28 day cycle
Dtd 1st dec, 2nd
Pink spotting 5th (thought all over, af coming)
Dtd: 6th (cd35, started testing), 7th
BFP 10th

Not sure if it makes sense or if it helps grin

Yes springtime, go forth and multiply! Now!

Springtime26 Fri 30-Aug-13 14:44:59

thanks for encouragement. I hoping for tonight.my mum has got dd but I phoned her on my lunch and said she was not her self, ?ill, so I may have to collect her (my mum lives an hour away, so would have to stay), which will scupper plans for tonight. but will have to wait and see.
I can not believe how lobg this thread is already.

Sorry wrote the last bit wrong, I started testing on 1st dec, not that it matters......

wispaxmas Fri 30-Aug-13 14:45:46

Omg, Hayley, congratulations! What kind of test did you use? CBD aren't as sensitive as some of the internet cheapies or Superdrug tests, so I would wait until the first day of missed period to test. I'm hugely excited for you, though!

Springtime, get your butt back in that car and drive that hour home wink lol
Totally understand, hope your dd ok x

DisneyDiva87 Fri 30-Aug-13 14:55:13

My tests didn't arrive today hmm

Still at meeting so have to run

mama31 Fri 30-Aug-13 15:26:04

CoffeeGuzzler Fri 30-Aug-13 15:58:02

justhayley fantastic news! Many congratulations

justhayley Fri 30-Aug-13 15:59:00

gringrin thank you - although really not sure if I should be getting congratulations just yet, it doesn't quite seem possible, & the line really is faint!
Can you add me to the bus - I'll take a waiting for BFP seat for now!

GreenFace Fri 30-Aug-13 16:02:02

Hi everyone, looks like I'm joining the September bus too if you'll have me?

Wow congratulations justhayley that's great news, a line is a line grin

Hugs to all the BFNs

I'm so weak willed, for some reason I had an uncontrolable urge to POAS this afternoon, and I caved blush not even FMU.......am quite aware how stupid that is at 8 dpo and was, quite obviously, a BFN (what a waste of money!)

Am not going to test again until Wednesday, am not going to test again until Wednesday, must not test until Wednesday!! Have been feeling so uncomfortable, bloated, sore boobs, odd dreams, needing to wee lots, guess ut's just PMS.

Arrrgghh hate the waiting game confused

DisneyDiva87 Fri 30-Aug-13 17:09:56

Oh spots is something I usually get around AF but only had 2 so far. It's definitely an improvement bit will see how the next couple of days go

Finding a seat and sitting in it! smile

So, I've caved a bought some ov tests off eBay. 20 for £3.23 delivered. I swore I wouldn't and just take it as it......ahem......comes.
I've been reading online that the second one can sometimes take a bit longer, so just want to check everything is ok. They arrive Monday/Tuesday. Am due ov next week so good timing.

Welcome newbies! Loads on this bus now!

Nottalotta Fri 30-Aug-13 18:56:06

Thanks wispa

I can't believe this is C3 for me already!! C1 i was just amazed to have my periods back after so long and didn't expect another so soon (although got v.v.v excited at the mere chance of getting upduffed!) C2 i thought i had it all planned out - DH was away for a long weekend and returned right at the start of my fertile window - thought lots of 'missed you' sexing. Didn't really happen for various reasons. So, C3.......once again i feel better armed with info. FX third time lucky!!

Nottalotta Fri 30-Aug-13 18:57:59

choccy wow thats a good deal! I bought two superdrug tests for a fiver (ish...) but then was got by AF so at least i have them both for this round! Are you working on the principle that if you buy loads you will get preggo and not need them? grin ?

PurpleGeekyGirl Fri 30-Aug-13 19:11:34

I posted this on the other thread this morning and am re-posting it here cos I need some hugs.

I am on cd15 and have horrible brown goo (sorry tmi) exactly the same sort I get before af. I've never had a cycle this short before, well not since my ex-h and I had the row to end all rows and I moved out. I know my cycles are erratic but to add a 15 day one in is really pissing me off. I suppose on the upside it means I can sort my day 21 bloods more quickly but when on earth do I arrange them for?!

Has anyone else had 15 day cycles? After being told by my GP that my hormones were all OK this is a bit of a low blow from mother nature.

Really totally utterly fed up sad

Purple, does the brown normally go red? Obviously you know your body, but might be worth just seeing if it is implantation smile

Busted nottalotta wink

PurpleGeekyGirl Fri 30-Aug-13 19:41:26

choccy It hasn't yet but does normally. I haven't had any AF cramps yet this cycle and usually by now they have started. Only time will tell I guess. Thanks smile

Finger crossed purple x

I had brown, then a few days later it was pink, so will be worth watching out smile

DisneyDiva87 Fri 30-Aug-13 21:01:41

I POAS, big fat negative sad I'm still convinced I'm pregnant though, it's the silly high concentrate pregnancy tests that are the problem grin

ChubbyKitty Fri 30-Aug-13 21:06:52

Still waiting for anything over here. Congrats justhayley, like others have said, a line is a line and hopefully yours will get darkergrin

Getting mildly pissed off with one of my 'friends'. Apparently she feels she has control over my life and my choices.

I'm a grown woman I can get pregnant without anyone's approval except mine and DPs thank you very muchhmm

Nottalotta Fri 30-Aug-13 21:07:35

Boo Disney! My friend PO7S before getting her bfp. Over 5 days. Hope yet?

choccy grin knew it! I'm holding off....so far.

purple i thought my pre af spotting and browny stuff was baf at day 23. You have my sympathy.

PurpleGeekyGirl Fri 30-Aug-13 21:14:52

Thanks chubby I will keep my fx!

Disney that made me laugh! Hope it is indeed the silly tests.

Notta that sounds promising!

I've had my hope up so many times in the last twelve months that I will try and stay zen!

CoffeeGuzzler Fri 30-Aug-13 21:18:54

Disney, that made me laugh. Let's hope you are right.

mrsmummytobe Fri 30-Aug-13 21:52:50

Congrats justhayley! Exciting!

Good luck to everyone poas tomorrow! Fx for you smile Anyone with bfns it is still August so early days yet, hopefully will turn to a bfp in a couple of days!!!

I have had no symptoms at all today so not really feeling very hopeful for a bfp ... Hmm testing in a week but not expecting too much :-/

DisneyDiva87 Fri 30-Aug-13 22:10:00

I'm gonna try again with FMU I think, I just don't know whether to try tomorrow or leave it till Sunday. Still no sign of AF grin

Writerwannabe83 Fri 30-Aug-13 22:14:15

I'm only hovering around this bus Disney to see you get your BFP smile

I'm excited for you!!!!

mrsmummytobe Fri 30-Aug-13 22:24:50

Shame those cheapies haven't arrived yet disney - amazon is never normally this slow is it! I would be tempted to hold out until Sunday but I know that is far easier said than done! Good luck if you do poas tmrw smile

JellyBeanDavey Fri 30-Aug-13 22:44:50

Just popping my head in quickly to give you ladies a tip from my pregnant friend...

If you aren't already, moisturise!!! Excessively too! She said she wished she'd of done it way before she was pregnant. So get buttering up girlies and prepare that beautiful skin for lots of stretching grin

wispaxmas Fri 30-Aug-13 22:53:03

My amazon cheapness arrived really quickly, not sure what the problem is for yours.. Annoying, are you going to go out and buy other tests or wait for them to arrive?

Second that jelly. I did all the way through last time and I don't have a single stretch mark and ds was 8/13 smile

Good luck Disney gringringrin

Owlie84 Fri 30-Aug-13 23:20:40

Aaaaaaahhhhh!! confusedconfusedconfusedconfusedconfused

Sorry, I had to get that out. Another month, another bout of performance anxiety from DH. hmm I'm really trying hard to be patient, but it's been four months of frustration! I'm not mentioning anything about cycles or 'good days' to dtd to him, but it makes no difference. This has never been a problem previously, and even though he says he really wants to be ttc, I'm really upset.

We've just about managed to dtd three times this cycle, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't at a good time. Baaahhhh.

Sorry to moan!

Owlie84 Fri 30-Aug-13 23:35:08

Oh god, I sound like a woman possessed hmm

I'm not angry at him nor have we had a row or anything, I'm just frustrated on my own. smile

justhayley Sat 31-Aug-13 00:08:02

Dam totally forgot I just ordered a load of CB OPKs from eBay lol. Wonder what will arrive first those or my official BFP smile

Got a few "symptoms" but worried because am not feeling sick or tired (not that I want to) nor are my boobs sore.
However like when I was pg with DS I'm burping every 10 mins - literally, I'm getting hiccups immediately after eating or drinking anything, & I'm bloated beyond normal AF due bloating. Also feeling extra warm & super hungry when I wake up.

Really hope this is it. feel like iv been trying for a lifetime. Im not a particularly religious person but this month DP was on leave for 3 weeks, so on August 1st I bought some folic acid & actually prayed I'd get pregnant this month!
DP is currently on a deployment in Canada - home in 5 weeks, if I get my BFP do I tell him over the phone or wait till he's home?

mama31 Sat 31-Aug-13 01:38:58

Owlie that sounds very difficult for you I'm sure yoy are feeling very frustrated but also concerned about your dh. Very tough situation sad

Justhayley.... My dream is to find out myself and plan a lovely night for dh where I can surprise him with the bfp...however....it would seem that I wouldn't be able to hold that sort of information (given how obsessive this is) whilst I would want to make it a lovely face to face moment...I am 99% sure that won't happen coz of my excitement!!! But if you could how lovely that would be smile

mama31 Sat 31-Aug-13 01:42:13

Just to clarify this would be my dh 1st child and he is super excited about it....he also works shifts therefore during my obsessive preg testing it is kinda likely he will be working if/when I get my bfp!!! So to hold that info and surprise him would be amazing (in principle...)

You've GOT to tell your DHs/dps face to face, no question!!
I know how much you would want to burst, but I couldn't imagine telling my dh over the phone. I wouldn't tell anyone else either (except you lot!). It's such a special moment, and it's their moment too smile

Hello ladies, I'm a hang-on-to-the-ender on the August bus but think its very unlikely ill get my AF today as I'm at most 3DPO (but don't think I've actually OV). CD37 I think today so who knows when this horrible cycle will end. Have some blood tests later today so hopefully that will give clarity.
Here are my stats:
ScienceGeekGirl ttc#1 cycle 6 BFP?????
If some one can add me to the list that would be great and good luck to those peeing on a stick this morning or tomorrow.

Grabbing a seat in the middle.

Justhayley sounds positive to me smile

Finally DTD with DH last night, if period app on phone is correct ovulation was yesterday. First time we'd managed it since Monday so am not hopeful.

Did go and have reflexology yesterday there's a woman near me who has the most amazing track record of making women who struggle to conceive have babies. Hoping it might make the difference for next month, not holding out much hope for this month.

<settles down for 2ww>

Daisychain44 Sat 31-Aug-13 07:26:33

Hi all,
Well, the deep depression has set in here. Funny old roller coaster this - AF arrived on wed and thought I was ok about it ( you know, considering...) but been ridiculously teary the last few days and just feel miserable all the time. My poor DH had me in tears at the dinner table last night.
I think the fact that no-one knows Isn't helping me as people keep talking to me about everyone else's pregnancies and how DS would benefit from a sibling ASAP.. I'm a pretty private person but I think I'm going to break the habit of a lifetime and tell a few people. At least then they might be a bit more sensitive about it...
Sorry for the downer, I 'm sure I'll sort myself out and be cheerier soon!

JellyBeanDavey Sat 31-Aug-13 07:47:59

Bfn again this morning! I'm going away today and in back Monday and I'm not taking any pee sticks or pee pots. I will just have to wait!! hmm

Bloumermaid Sat 31-Aug-13 07:48:02

Hugs for Owlie and Daisy.

Owlie that sounds like a tough situation to be in. Has it been since day1 ttc? There's so much pressure on us ladies when pregnant but the ttc bit is where our DPs have to, ahem, 'perform' and it must be difficult for them too. It sounds like you're doing your best to keep the pressure off him though, and that can only be a good thing.

Daisy you're right, it is a rollercoaster! On top of all the angst we also have raging hormones to deal with, and a whole host of 'symptoms' that just don't seem fair when they're not down to being pg. Let yourself feel grumpy for a bit and use it as an excuse for a bit of self-indulgence - maybe a nice bath, or treat yourself in some way. You're doing all the right things, it will happen!

Cake all round (even though it's breakfast time)
cake cake cake

jaykay987 Sat 31-Aug-13 08:10:09

Wow - this is the busiest bus!grin

FX for those with bfn. I'm certain you're all testing a day too early and as soon as its September the BFPs will come rolling in! grin

My CB OPK turned fixed today! (After 7 flashing days I thought this day old never arrive!). I am far too excited! Dtd last night (first time with "ingredients" in a couple of weeks - so I feel your pain Owl).

Justhayley - face to face would be amazing! But how far gone will you be in 5 weeks? I looked at my calendar today and as my cycle is so long, I won't be testing until 5weeks after my last AF. So if I then waited 5 weeks to tell DH Id be 10 weeks before he knew! That seems far too long to wait to tell him! Especially if you have any early scares (fingers crossed you won't obviously) I can't imagine the phone call. "Oh yes my GP sent me to EPU for an early scan because of bleeding/pains/a.n.other weird pregnancy related symptom. Oh - by the way Im pregnant!" That would be a lot of information to digest! Maybe you could do something fun though to make it special? Email him a photo of your test? Or can he Skype or face time so you can see his reaction?

keepswimming1 Sat 31-Aug-13 08:36:09

ooo itchy boobs this morning smile I never thought i'd be happy about it

Hayley - I'd be in the same position as you if I ever get a bfp - never given it much thought til I read your story, I think I would have to try and wait out to tell him face to face. good luck x

morning all smile

Owlie84 Sat 31-Aug-13 09:01:52

Morning!
Thanks guys, that does reassure me. Good luck to all the POAS'ers!! smile

leezl Sat 31-Aug-13 09:06:07

Ladies from the August bus will understand this... Yippee I'm going to the Harvester today gringringrin

Bloumermaid Sat 31-Aug-13 09:20:46

Right, been trying not to get my hopes up but I'm 8dpo and have had some new symptoms...need some advice please!

Boobs been swollen since +OPK 9 days ago, feel 'full' (no longer as sore as they were).

Been increasingly hungry over the past 2-3 days.

Yesterday 2 things I ate tasted really wierd - a sweet muffin tasted bitter (nearly took it back to complain) then later a burrito tasted horrible (I usually looove burritos).

This morning there was pale pink when I wiped.

So either this is AF finally making an appearance after 5 months, or something else is going on...

BUT surely differences in appetite/taste wouldn't happen before implantation (if that's what's happening)?

Spent ages thinking I was pg last month when it was just post-pill hormone fun, so really don't want to get my hopes up but these symptoms are definitely new! Aarg.

mrsmummytobe Sat 31-Aug-13 09:44:58

Omg bloumer it sounds like you might be very close to getting a bfp!!!! Ahh how exciting - when are you poas??

mrsmummytobe Sat 31-Aug-13 09:48:32

Hugs for owlie & daisy sad Things will get better soon I'm sure.

blamber Sat 31-Aug-13 09:56:02

Bloumer, I don't know about symptoms before implantation, but it all sounds like a good sign, especially the pink discharge at 8 dpo!

Jaykay, congrats on your fixed!

I'm going to be abroad visiting family when AF is due and I hate being on my period when saying over with others! So for more than one reason I'm hoping it stays away. Won't bring any tests with me though as my oh isnt coming so I wouldn't want to do it without him.

Hayley so how long would you have to wait before you can tell him face to face? I dont think I could wait any longer than a week. Is Skype or face time an option?

Nottalotta Sat 31-Aug-13 09:58:52

Morning all! Ugh really hate AF and its a mean one this time. Had none for almost 8 yrs due to havin depo injection - god knows how people do this all the time!!

leezl enjoy that harvest!! What are you having?

I drank some pimms and a whole bottle of wine last night. Oops. On the principle that i soon will not be drinking at all. Enjoyed it though.

Have you testef disney ? Fx for you!

Bloumermaid Sat 31-Aug-13 10:07:16

Been POAS-ing every Weds and Sat as I didn't know where I was in my cycle, but now I have an idea when I ov'd it should be Fri 6. Tried this am and bfn (as expected), will try again on Weds and Fri/Sat (got stacks of ic's).

Apols for detail, but pink has increased to red - feels a bit like the start of AF (heavier than spotting but still quite light at the mo), so could go either way. Going to a wedding today and my frock requires THE most inappropriate knicks for pads - gah!

DisneyDiva87 Sat 31-Aug-13 10:07:49

Owlie you're not alone, my last cycle we managed to DTD just once with the 'ingredients'. My DH was was on tablets that made it very difficult for him to perform.

I can't remember what daisy was talking about now...

I didn't POAS this morning cause I know I'm not pregnant (sorry writer!). I might do it tomorrow cause its the 1st and I have 4 tests in my drawer it they are 20mlu ones. I'll have to wait for Monday for the other ones I ordered.

PurpleGeekyGirl Sat 31-Aug-13 10:14:36

When I fell with ds ex-h was cycling l'etap du tour and I had to tell him on the phone. Gave him time for it to sink in anyway before he came back!

Hmmmm the gunky brown/pink cm only lasted a few hours in the end. No more last night or even today after dtd... With af if I've had it and we dtd its still there. It was 7dpo so maybe maybe maybe it could be implantation???? I've had no af pains yet either and I alway get those in three batches starting at 5-6dpo. Am really trying not to get my hopes up but failing

Good luck to everyone else. Notta a whole bottle sounds like a good idea. Hope you enjoyed it!

I def second the cocoa butter/moisturising too. I had no stretch marks at all with ds even tho I gained 4 stone in total!

PurpleGeekyGirl Sat 31-Aug-13 10:21:51

Hugs owlie I can't begin to imagine how frustrating that is.

Daisy it's such a roller coaster don't be too hard on yourself. Maybe telling a few people would help with sensitivity. Hugs.

DisneyDiva87 Sat 31-Aug-13 10:28:39

Daisy I would definitely tell a couple of friends and tell them everything you put in that post. You need to confide in someone or you'll just make yourself more upset. Just remember its normal and ok to get upset over TTC and I know of a few ladies who take breaks from this site for that reason.

We're always here if you need to rant/vent/be unreasonable smile

leezl Sat 31-Aug-13 10:31:08

Bloumermaid I had those exact symptoms last month, plus nausea and dizziness! Turned out to be PMS hmm I really hope it's something else for you! FX indeed!

Nottalotta I'm not sure but certainly not stuffed peppers confusedgrin

Have a great Saturday everyone!

wispaxmas Sat 31-Aug-13 11:22:20

Justhayley, I'd tell him over the phone, or if possible on FaceTime or Skype!

wispaxmas Sat 31-Aug-13 11:22:59

Daisy, definitely tell friends, especially if they're saying things like, 'he needs a sibling ASAP!'

lucyfluff Sat 31-Aug-13 11:25:56

Morning ladies!!!

More pinkish tinge after dtd last night, I felt really crampy too and sure AF is imminent sad boo. My boobs feel kind of heavy too?!

Hope we get a BFP on this thread over the wkend it will cheer me up smile)

Writerwannabe83 Sat 31-Aug-13 12:45:04

justhayley I told my husband over the phone because I was too excited to wait even 4 hours for him to come home and tell him face to face grin

There is NO way I could wait 5 weeks!!

Congratulations x x

Nottalotta Sat 31-Aug-13 13:31:09

ChubbyKitty Sat 31-Aug-13 13:31:43

Daisy I've told my friends and most of them have been supportive, all except one really.

I've found the best people to talk about it all with are the ones trying and the ones who already have babies/are pregnant.

That's just my friends though and they are a weird bunch in general!

mama31 Sat 31-Aug-13 13:44:25

Morning everyone!!

Daisy I agree with the ladies you should confide in your closest friends just to take the pressure off but I understand that can be difficult if you are a private person. Wish I was a bit more like you....I can't hold my own water :/ but you know we are all here for you to share your thoughts/conerns and happiness smile

WELL....guess what arrived in the post this morning from amazon?!!! And they are staring at me....I'm sure I actually heard them speak to me....saying "go do a test, do it". INSANE?! YES....

justhayley Sat 31-Aug-13 14:13:34

Daisy it def makes it a bit easier to tell a few close friends, it stops the "are you planning on having another one soon" question every few days.
Only thing about telling is they may ask you every month if your pregnant and when your BFP finally arrives it's harder to lie.

My 3 closest friends are all pregnant - one of which POAS in my bathroom just 5 weeks ago. At this point she didn't know how hard iv been TTC, when I told her a few weeks ago she felt super guilty for asking me to hold her hand whilst she peed, which wasn't what I wanted. I text her the pic of my v faint BFP or LSP (little slim positive) as it is at the moment, yesterday amd she's SO excited, hopefully not prematurely.

With DS1 I was at high risk of MC until 16 weeks, we told parents at 12 weeks, close friends at 16 and everyone else at 20 when I couldn't really hide it any longer, and accepted my LO was a sticker grin This time im ready to burst, iv already told my 2close friends, & may have to tell another as I'm a bridesmaid in 2 weeks & not sure how the I'm not drinking at your wedding because X excuse will go down. Really hope I'm not disappointed on Monday. Think thinking iv got a BFP which ends up a BFN will be worse for me than the usual monthly BFN.

Iv done a bit of calculating with my extra long cycles I think I ovulated on CD24 this month, which would already make me 5 weeks. Can't go by LMP as that was ages ago and iv done a fair few tests since then. If I went by my LMP with DS1 I would have been due to give birth when I got my BFP lol.

DP is home in 5 weeks - if I'm already 4/5 weeks it seems crazy to wait till 10 weeks before he knows, but can't imagine having the conversation over the phone. Especially if something went wrong between then and now.
Also really don't think I could keep it a secret for that long it's killing me already and I'm not even sure.

Thinking I may send him the test in the post? Think the non digital ones keep their lines? Or could cheat and felt tip a line on the test so he understands.
Before he left I asked him if he'd want me to tell him whilst away if we got our BFP and he said Yes then No then yes then I don't no - really helpful! After so long don't think we really thought it would happen this month. I booked myself an appointment with the GP for next week to try and get treatment going so we'd have a better chance when he gets back in October.

Good Luck to everyone POAS this weekend, if I can get pregnant with all my problems you girls can too grin

justhayley Sat 31-Aug-13 14:15:55

Ps of it helps, this month every time we dtd I "helped myself along" afterwards (read somewhere clitoral orgasm after sex makes cervix contract pulling sperm in quicker), and then laid upside down for a good 20/30 mins. grin

DisneyDiva87 Sat 31-Aug-13 14:53:39

I didn't test today. Not yet anyway. I think it'd be a waste AF is surely on her way. Is that your tests from amazon arrived mama? I'm jealous you got yours already hmm. Aberdeen is classed as highlands by post and couriers so we can't get next day delivery from a lot of places and it takes longer for stuff to get here. Bloody annoying

keepswimming1 Sat 31-Aug-13 15:13:12

so I have just been in town and resisted buying a test smile I'm very impressed with myself.

Also I lost 3lbs this week...so happy smile

Good luck Disney if your testing today smile

Nulanoo Sat 31-Aug-13 15:20:34

Hello everyone just getting

Nulanoo Sat 31-Aug-13 15:22:24

Oopps...

On the new bus!

So today my 'symptoms' are an inquenchable thirst for water. I've just drank a litre bottle shopping round asda! And this morning I had some white coloured ewcm it was stretchy but not clear.

Can anyone help?! I'm really not sure on a definite ov day but I'm guessing it was between 10-14 days ago

internationallove985 Sat 31-Aug-13 15:24:13

Hi everyone. Well it seems I'm out. A.F arrived this morning at the most inconvienient embarassing time. I'm sure you all get the picture.
He saw the funny side though. I suppose that's all you can do.
I really don't think it matters how many times you D.T.D. I think pregnancy is like a lottery really.
Congratulations to our new B.F.P's xxx

mrsmummytobe Sat 31-Aug-13 16:02:43

mama & daisy my tests arrived today too! I'm holding off so far though....

mrsmummytobe Sat 31-Aug-13 16:03:10

Sorry I meant to write disney not daisy! Doh!

mama31 Sat 31-Aug-13 16:15:14

TMI ALERT!!!

Just been to the toilet (as felt something wet down below) and my underwear had a smear of brown coloured stain and when I wiped there was more. Could this actually be another AF after my last one only being on 12th August?!!! Or is this an implantation bleed??? Its not spotting it was quite a big smear :/

Bet its just coz my 1st af after coming off the pill was 12th august and now my cycles are gona be manic for a while sad

Anywho...yes disney the amazon tests arrived! Mrsmummytobe hold off on the testing and good luck!!! smile

mrsmummytobe Sat 31-Aug-13 16:21:48

Ahhh mama sounds like implantation bleeding to me!!!!! So exciting!

mama31 Sat 31-Aug-13 16:33:47

Mrsmummytobe do you reckon???

ATTENTION PREGGERS FOLK....please tell me about implantation bleeding and what it looks like!!!! Agggghhh! Why am I stressing?!!

VickyVix Sat 31-Aug-13 16:36:44

mama it could be implantation smile

Just hot back from the shops, have bought myself some HPTs......just need to wait until Wednesday now.....--easier said than done--

mrsmummytobe Sat 31-Aug-13 16:42:29

If it's implantation I think you are probably able to test in about 2-3 days.... !!! Eek actually think you should wait til 7th/8th to poas with me lol!

mama31 Sat 31-Aug-13 16:45:00

I'm just worried it's another freakin af!!!!! Haven't been bk to the loo to check yet as I've just painted my nails so have to wait til they dry lol (avoidance)

mrsmummytobe Sat 31-Aug-13 16:55:28

Lol good tactic! I don't know how long implantation bleeding lasts for but even if you did get a bit more it still could be I think

mama31 Sat 31-Aug-13 17:07:47

Hope your right mummytobe!!! How's your symptom spotting going?? I think I'm just freaked out as was quite shocked when I saw the stain....wasn't expecting it!! Lol

Oh well time will tell and I guess your right if it is I could prob use a wee cheapie test in a few days!! Then I'd be trying to get you to join me.. Haha!

DisneyDiva87 Sat 31-Aug-13 17:07:50

I'm in SuperDrug and I don't have time to look for a early response pg test. -sobs-

mama31 Sat 31-Aug-13 17:08:30

Ok I'm off to the loo my nails have dried so must check out the latest....

mama31 Sat 31-Aug-13 17:09:30

Disney...your online in superdrug?! Hillarious!!!!

englishteacher78 Sat 31-Aug-13 17:12:53

Even though I'd already had EWCM this cycle about a week or so ago, I had it again today. Is my body being weird again or is that normal?

mrsmummytobe Sat 31-Aug-13 17:13:41

I haven't noticed any major symptoms. I have been finding it really hard to sleep though for some reason. The last couple of days I've woken up about 5am & found it really hard to get back to sleep :-/

leezl Sat 31-Aug-13 17:16:23

Well done keepswimming! That's such a great loss!
Mama I hope it is implantation! You must be so excited/nervous!

I spoke to DH this morning and we agreed on DTD every other day this month. I'm concerned about him becoming anxious/bored with it all, and I do so want to keep him on-side!!

We went out for lunch with my dad today (those in the Harvester club, I had the cauliflower cheese and tomato tart and it was AMAZING). I haven't had much contact with him for the last two years and this is the second time we've met up recently. Trying to rekindle our relationship slowly. Anyway, when DH was in the toilet my dad asked me outright whether we'd thought about starting a family!! I was so shocked I must have sounded flustered but I said that we weren't quite ready yet (I'm recovering from a long term illness) but that I would like to start soon. Believable? Lol when I was showing him something on my phone earlier on, one of those damn Fertility Friend emails popped up so I wonder if he saw that. I'm trying very hard to keep this a secret - I've only told two or three friends, and they are "online" friends. I certainly don't want our families to find out until we are well into the first trimester. It isn't that I think they would disapprove (we've been married two years, together for seven, DH has a stable job, I'm being discharged from the hospital this month, etc), but I just don't feel comfortable having "real life" people knowing. Plus it's lovely having such a big secret all to ourselves!

Can anyone relate?

DisneyDiva87 Sat 31-Aug-13 17:20:17

I was mama! Lol. The power of the smart phone! I went to SuperDrug and thought of all you lovely ladies

CoffeeGuzzler Sat 31-Aug-13 17:24:57

Disney Keeping fingers crossed for you.

owlie i can't begin to imagine how frustrated you must be feeling. It's terribly unfair that there is such a short of window to get pregnant. Well done you for keeping the pressure off your dh though. Do you think broaching the topic gently would help?

I just wanted to tell everyone that I have finally got my fixed smiley. On cd18 and after 9, yes nine, days of the blasted flashing smiley. Yay, I ovulate I ovulate. I'm so happy anyone would think I just got a bfp.

High five jaykay grin

Off to jump dh now.

DisneyDiva87 Sat 31-Aug-13 17:29:58

Completely leezl. I've not really told anyone cause I want it to be something for us to enjoy and because it can take a long time and it's not going to be nice if you have to explain to all your family and friends that you can't. Although hubby told the world and his wife so most of my friends have prob heard but haven't mentioned anything to me which is nice if they do know. I could throttle hubby for telling people but then I'd need to find a new sperm donor grin

leezl Sat 31-Aug-13 17:36:19

Bahahaha Disney! I think my DH is more nervous about telling his parents than I am to tell mine!
I was concerned about having to let people down if it takes a long time for us, and their expectation causing us stress. I'm so glad I have you guys to talk to though because I need to obsess with somebody ha!

CoffeeGuzzler Sat 31-Aug-13 17:47:34

leezl I couldn't agree more on being able to obsess with you guys. Nobody really understand the frustrations of ttc unless they are in the same shoe. The amount of crazy lady behaviour I've been indulging in about this whole pregnancy thing, I'm surprised that I hold down a job.

Owlie84 Sat 31-Aug-13 17:49:22

Haha, I get that leezl! We got married earlier this year, and neither of our parents have any dgc, so all eyes are on us! blush although circumstances being what they are, neither of us has told anyone we're ttc.

I'm going to persevere and pretend everything is great and he has nothing to worry about. We talked last night, and he says that he's scared to let me down. We're really bad at communicating feelings, but just great at talking about everything else!

mama31 Sat 31-Aug-13 18:04:47

Ok so no further bleeding as yet....promising??

justhayley Sat 31-Aug-13 18:39:04

Good luck mama - sounds promising to me. grin

mama31 Sat 31-Aug-13 18:47:40

Thanks justhayley-feeling quite nervous now lol

DisneyDiva87 Sat 31-Aug-13 18:51:17

Not even a damn evap line hmm. I don't want to give up hope but I think I should...

Purple, omg, fingers crossed this is it for you! Sounds very promising!

Hayley, yes the cheap tests keep their lines, I still have both of mine from ds grin

Mama sounds like implantation to me! I had brown then a few days later it was slightly pink.

Good luck Disney! And everyone else symptom spotting.

Ds currently in the bath, he is so frikkin cute it's unreal. I want another one now!!!

Eek this bus is getting exciting!! gringrin

Duff test Disney?

PurpleGeekyGirl Sat 31-Aug-13 19:14:22

Thanks choccy I'm trying so hard not to hope! I'm off to see my mum for a few days and won't take any tests with me so if af / cramps havent arrived I will test on wed at 12dpo. Just mentioned to do there might be a chance and he's excited now too. Hope I don't disappoint.

And if I am upduffed I need a name that means something in welsh for tent, lake or mountain lol!

DisneyDiva87 Sat 31-Aug-13 19:18:18

Must have been choccy. It's definitely the tests fault And not that I'm just not pregnant!

I had a test with no evap line, I tested the next day as I was away from home at the time and only took a few with me, and 2 days later I got a positive smile

Purple, welsh for hill is Bryn, Garth, Bre. Lake is Llyn smile

PurpleGeekyGirl Sat 31-Aug-13 19:28:06

Hmmm some good contenders there for middle names choccy!

Right. Back to not obsessing and wondering. Each time I promise myself no obsessing and each time I fail but to be fair I've never had gunk like this before and no af cramps by this stage...

CoffeeGuzzler Sat 31-Aug-13 19:38:43

Mama, purple...it all sounds very promising indeed. Fx.

DisneyDiva87 Sat 31-Aug-13 19:50:19

You saying my bfn is actually a symptom? Lol

DisneyDiva87 Sat 31-Aug-13 19:52:17

Oh I meant to say I'm on my way to asda I'm so tempted to buy a first response just to try. I must resist, its daft when I have 15 arriving on Monday...

Oh Lord give me strength

englishteacher78 Sat 31-Aug-13 19:54:19

I'm doing an assault course race tomorrow! Beginning to wonder whether I shouldn't do some of the obstacles - apparently there's one where you get electrocuted!

leezl Sat 31-Aug-13 20:08:40

Haha oh English I wouldn't do it even if there wasn't a chance I were pregnant!!

DisneyDiva87 Sat 31-Aug-13 20:10:37

£6 for 2 First response

PurpleGeekyGirl Sat 31-Aug-13 20:14:24

Stop tempting me disney. I will not cave before Wednesday repeat to fade...

englishteacher78 Sat 31-Aug-13 20:17:10

Leezel - it's only 5km

DisneyDiva87 Sat 31-Aug-13 20:20:10

Haha. I read the packet you still have to wait till first day of missed period fr them. I thought the point of them was that you could test before your period was due

leezl Sat 31-Aug-13 20:20:20

Haha I joke; I'm sure you're much fitter than I am!! Good luck smile

PurpleGeekyGirl Sat 31-Aug-13 20:20:28

English only 5km dies

(actually that's not quite true, point me to a mountain and I shall climb, but run, never!)

englishteacher78 Sat 31-Aug-13 20:29:50

Purple - climbing I'm not so good at. Trying to be as want to do some trail running rather than just road races. We'll see.

MrsHende Sat 31-Aug-13 20:31:45

Wow! I turn my back for a couple of days and we're half way through a second thread!

Carry on ladies, loving your chat, may not keep up though!

VJONES1985 Sat 31-Aug-13 21:24:25

Hi all. I'm on cd5 and bugger all going on with me but thought I'd better check in! waves

leezl Sat 31-Aug-13 21:30:10

CD7 here VJ! Feels like the quiet before the storm grin

coco808 Sat 31-Aug-13 21:39:58

leezl I haven't told anyone about ttc either. I don't want the pressure smile but it is so hard to avoid wine at social gatherings as everyone is watching me like a hawk (newly married and they are expecting it!!!)

english I have been getting ewcm on CD16 and then again at CD 21...going to speak to my obs & gynae friend and will let you know if I get any info

DisneyDiva87 Sat 31-Aug-13 22:02:25

I find ordering a glass of wine taking a couple of sips and then discreetly passing it to OH later on is enough to convince people you're drinking. They just assume you drank the glass yourself

VJONES1985 Sat 31-Aug-13 22:03:30

Yep leezl, we're aiming to dtd every two days from tomorrow and every day during fertile period as the plan is to do smep this month. Am much calmer than I was a few weeks ago though - think I started boring myself!!

jaykay987 Sat 31-Aug-13 23:04:16

Coffees- we are soon tune this month! Hope OH compiled with your dtd demands!

Bloumermaid Sat 31-Aug-13 23:16:16

So I had spotting all day, but not like any spotting I've ever had before (tmi coming up) - pink/bright red, with kind of stringy bits, mostly appearing when I wiped with almost none on the pad. It was nothing like AF. Let's see what happens tomorrow.

According to the list Purple you and I are due bfps on the same day and Mama31 yours is the day after, and all 3 of us have had poss implantation bleeds today/yesterday - fx for a triple whammy in a week or so (and of course to all the others who don't feel the need to share the contents of their underwear with the world)!

VickyVix Sun 01-Sep-13 00:18:56

Fingers crossed for you purple , mama and bloumer hope it's good news for you, and anyone else due to test in the next day or two.

Well done in the fixed smiley coffee great news, assume your OH won't know what's hit him grin

Not much going on over here, approaching 11dpo tomorrow, still having very vivid dreams and have really sore boobs like a burning feeling :/ but that is about it......and the BFN I got yesterday (unsurprisingly)

mrsmummytobe Sun 01-Sep-13 07:17:20

Morning all! So who's poas this morning?? Fx for you!

Ooooo it's too much, it's so exciting!!

Bloumer, sounds like it could be some good news if it's not like your normal af, although am a bit confused with the red blood.

Disney, strange instructions on the packet if you can test before!
And no I didn't mean the evap line was a symptom ha ha, I just meant you had a duff test like I did lol.

Anyone testing today? smile

Morning mrsmummy smile

mrsmummytobe Sun 01-Sep-13 07:32:13

All good, just reading about ovulation stuff, god I'm obsessed wink
I only came off the pill 2 weeks ago ha ha!
I forgot about the feeling for your cervix thing!

How are you? X

mrsmummytobe Sun 01-Sep-13 07:46:43

I was chatting to my sister about it yesterday & I was really impressed as she ovulates on roughly the same cd every month & she knows all the signs - she says she gets ewcm but also feels more moody, sometimes down on the day she ov & some pain. Ov is still more of a guessing game for me as my cycle is still settling down after coming off the pill. I am definitely never going back on the pill though, even after I've had a child - it is too stressful waiting for my cycle to sort itself out!

theborrower Sun 01-Sep-13 08:10:20

Crikey, I don't check into mumsnet for a few days and the thread has galloped away! Not had time to read everyone's posts. Are there any bfps yet??

Just checking in - on CD30 (i think) and no symptoms whatsoever, just mild sensitive boobs for last two days. Last month I was totally convinced I was pregnant bc I had symptoms for about 2 weeks so I'll not be testing until I'm really late.

Cycles last time around ttc were 28-32, this time around I've had a 35 & a 40. I think i ovulated around day 19 this tine as i had what i think was ov pain then and still had cm. how many days past ov is earliest you can test??

It's going to be a really long wait this time! :-)

DisneyDiva87 Sun 01-Sep-13 08:24:10

Morning.

Shock horror my bfns were correct and I awoke in the clutches of AF this morning so I need to move to the end of the bus. Think I'm now due on 29th? I'll double check.

Nooooooooooooooo Disney hmm hope you're ok xxxx.
Please stay x

mrsmummytobe Sun 01-Sep-13 08:42:45

Oh noo! Hugs disney. At least it looks like sept could still be your month!

PurpleGeekyGirl Sun 01-Sep-13 09:01:25

Ooh it's all starting to get exciting on here!!

Disney so sorry that af has arrived but good news you get another sept bfp smile

Still waiting here... DP hugged me last night and my boobs screamed in agony. They're so tender at the mo, much moreso than normally before af. Still no af pains either but lots of backache and achy legs. Plenty of vivid dreams since I ovd too and I don't normally dream. The next few days are going to go so slowly but I am resolved not to take a test to my mums and to wait until wed which is 12dpo.

Good luck to everyone else grin

chattychattyboomba Sun 01-Sep-13 09:02:14

Sorry to hear Disney. Fingers crossed for 29th.

PurpleGeekyGirl Sun 01-Sep-13 09:05:36

Blouer how's the spotting today?? I only had a bit of brown for a few hours on tissue. Not sure if I had imp bleeding with ds as those were the days when I didn't scrutinise the loo roll every time like I do now wink

keepswimming1 Sun 01-Sep-13 09:09:46

Sorry Disney.

Good luck to all those poas today smile

So I resisted in buying pg test yesterday while in town, but got home and read somewhere on here that you can use ovulation tests, so I peed on that...yes I know I've really gone nuts. anyway no test line come up, how reliable are they? Am I really out this month? af due on the 6th. has any one else done this before (god I hope so)

leezl Sun 01-Sep-13 09:12:16

Sorry to hear about AF Disney. There's plenty room back here at the end of the bus though, and we have biscuits ;)

chattychattyboomba Sun 01-Sep-13 09:19:28

Might be jumping the queue here but I think I might have got my bfp wrong... Ermmm sorry new to this TTC (baby #1 was more of a casual approach) So AF is due the 22nd according to my lMP...which means ov around the 9th...
I went and bought some boots ovulation test kits just to be sure as i am completely oblivious when it comes to knowing the symptoms.

chattychattyboomba Sun 01-Sep-13 09:19:56

That's BFP date** wrong

Hendricks Sun 01-Sep-13 09:25:59

Sorry to hear AF turned up disney.

I POAS first thing and, unsurprisingly, got a BFN. That's what I get for testing 4 days early I guess!

Some of you have got some promising sounding symptoms - fingers crossed for everyone!

DisneyDiva87 Sun 01-Sep-13 09:29:53

Yea I'm ok. Deep down I knew I wasn't pregnant so I was just waiting for AF. She kindly turned up a day early to put me out of my misery.

I feel so ill now though. I'm tucked up in bed with a hot water bottle and agatha christie.

Nulanoo Sun 01-Sep-13 09:56:06

Sorry to hear that Disney sad I think most of my symptoms are in my head too as I haven't got anything like needing to wee or tenderness. I just keep drinking a lot! Still got the white ewcm too, weird x

wispaxmas Sun 01-Sep-13 09:56:40

Borrower, I read somewhere that while opks can detect hgc, they won't be as sensitive to it as a hpt, and will normally only give a + later than a hpt, though a couple people on the August bus said that opks gave them earlier bfps...

Nottalotta Sun 01-Sep-13 10:08:06

Ugh. Dreamt i had an actual baby. AF is a wierd one - rather heavy and painful friday and half of saturday then nothing since about 3pm yesterday.

Sorry to hear of the bfn's. Fingers crossed for you early testers. 24th sept seems a loooong way off for me!

CoffeeGuzzler Sun 01-Sep-13 10:17:05

Sorry to hear that af has hunted you down Disney. You still have a chance in September though.

What about all the people listed to hopefully bfp on 1st. (Finally September eh?) Suz, Bushprincess, Jellybean....please test! grin

Does everyone get pg symptoms? I remember my sis-in-law saying something like..'oh my fishy god...i am pregnant...had no idea!'.

keepswimming...opks test for LH isn't that right? Don't think they are equipped for hcg. They can probably make do for contraception...but pg text...I don't think so.

Bloumermaid Sun 01-Sep-13 10:19:54

Purple your spotting sounds more promising than mine, I've gone from being excited to sceptical again and trying not to get my hopes up. Had more this morning that seemed more like AF but still very very light. Who knows! Since coming off the pill I seem to be in a repeating pattern of symptom, excitement, bfn, disappointment. Anyone recognise this?!

Also my younger sister told me yesterday that they've started casually trying and I feel really conflicted about it - partly excited that we might be pg at the same time and partly an irrational desire to get pg first. It will be just my luck, I'm going at this by the book and they're 'just seeing what happens' (she got trollied at the wedding yesterday while I was on the schloer). I want to be happy for her so why do I feel like this is some sort of competition?

Btw they dtd more than anyone I've ever met so if there's a window they'll hit it.

CoffeeGuzzler Sun 01-Sep-13 10:27:56

Bloumer, don't beat yourself up about how you feel. It's hard on everyone to see other people casually get what they desperately want. I am sure you are happy for your sister. You are also just a tint bit glum for yourself. And that's ok.

blamber Sun 01-Sep-13 10:42:40

Keep swimming, the lh hormone mimics the hcg hormone, that's why some people get a positive ov test when they're pregnant. However, it's not very reliable, you can get false negatives and false positives. Just get some pregnancy tests, maybe some of those cheap ones online.

Bloumer, yes it's been up and down for me ever since I stopped the pill. It all depends on what my body is doing. Going from: 'oh i'll never ovulate, there's something wrong with me, I shouldn't have left it so long', to: 'yeeeaaaah finally got show/ov pains/temp rise smile.

It's difficult wit family though, I just found out two of my family members are pregnant and it's difficult, especially because my mum is all excited.

chattychattyboomba Sun 01-Sep-13 10:45:23

Bloumer- totally normal to feel that way. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself, your time will come (and I secretly hope it's before your sis too wink)

On another note, found out my cousin is finally pregnant after years of trying, first round of ivf did the trick. She had to endure watching her younger sis get preg and give birth (first grandchild too)... Then brother and new wife announced they were trying... she was feeling very low. She said to my aunt it seems everything 'falls' into other cousins lap, And she has to fight for it all... I can totally empathise, but I can honestly say I admire my cousin sooo much for her graciousness, positivity and humility. I couldn't be happier for them.

leezl Sun 01-Sep-13 10:48:51

Bloumermaid I can really relate to what you said about your sister. I don't want to go into detail but just wanted you to know you're not alone feeling that way!! <3

wispaxmas Sun 01-Sep-13 10:57:03

I just realised my last message for aimed at keep swimming, not borrower, sorry!

I want to hear from all the 1 sep bfps!! Come on good news, lets get these bfps rolling!

Writerwannabe83 Sun 01-Sep-13 11:00:19

Oh Disney - I can't believe AF came! What a total bit*h hmm I hope you are feeling ok though x

Coffee As has been said, the OPK sticks can't differentiate between the ovulation hormone and the pregnancy hormone, so if either of those hormones are at high levels the OPK will read positive. I got a really strong positive on an OPK stick on the day my period was due which left me very confused. It was only after the wise MN's explained how the OPK sticks work that I ran to the shop for some HPT's and got 4BFP's. smile

CoffeeGuzzler Sun 01-Sep-13 11:41:48

Thanks for the info writer. Learning so much on here.

PurpleGeekyGirl Sun 01-Sep-13 11:47:14

Hugs blouer. Here's hoping its def imp bleeding too smile I have some cramps starting up now hmm not as bad as normal granted but still af like, boo.

Kemie Sun 01-Sep-13 11:58:17

So been having on and off cramping for a few days (actually lost count) but seem to always need a wee-including if I've just gone! But if I go not a lot comes out, but I just have a full bladder feeling constantly-was up twice in the night to pee which never happens! I've also had real trouble sleeping past week or so, and last night I was awake from about 2-4am!
Not testing til wednesday which is when af due, also on hols and oh isn't joining me till tuesday so have to wait for him! I had a (six hour) drive down yesterday, and by the end of it I was going mad with the seatbelt irritating my boobs! Today they don't seem to be as sore as they have been all week though, and not sure what to make of that!

keepswimming1 Sun 01-Sep-13 12:14:36

Ok thanks guys - I thought I was being nuts smile

So I have just been to the shops and I walked pass someone who smelt horrible (wearing perfume), almost made me want to be sick....symptom maybe? also at my parents this morning couldn't even face a cup of tea my mum made, might be due to skimmed milk (never had it before normally use that 1% stuff) but same thing again almost sick!!!
God I hope its not all in my head...

Writerwannabe83 Sun 01-Sep-13 12:17:46

I used to love Tea but I haven't been able to even look at a cup of it for about a month now. Jut the thought of it makes my stomach turn grin

This happened when I was 6 weeks and it literally happened overnight!
My husband loves it because it means he doesn't have to make me cups of tea anymore lazy sod grin

Awww bloumer, totally totally understand!
We've got some friends that little copy EVERYTHING we do. When we started ttc last time, they were the only ones we told just to see if they would copy. Well blow me, ours kids were born exactly a week apart! I spent most of my due date shouting at my bump for ds to come out as I wanted to be first, i was grin
We were due within 4 days of each other, me first. I didn't get a sweep on my due date due to the hospital being full at the time, i was totally gutted, but I went into labour the following day grin

mama31 Sun 01-Sep-13 12:57:08

Hey everyone! Hope you are having a great wkend! Sorry about af disney! That's such a shame but glad your still trying for a sept bfp!!! smile

Well I haven't had any further bleed since that one time yesterday so feeling positive about that but just wondering when to test now....getting itch to do it but know its way too early at 9/10dpo!

Writerwannabe83 Sun 01-Sep-13 12:58:58

Well, some eggs implant only 6 days conception so technically you could have 3 or 4 days of pregnancy hormone swirling about your system.... grin

Writerwannabe83 Sun 01-Sep-13 13:00:21

I meant to say some eggs implant after only 6 days from conception grin

However, I'm the last person you should listen to unless you want to turn into a crazy, obsessed POAS-er.

ChubbyKitty Sun 01-Sep-13 13:07:29

I have some cramping this morning.

I feel like that cat..'nononononononono!'

mama31 Sun 01-Sep-13 13:30:48

Hmmm....spoke too soon....had the tiniest bit of spotting there...still pos implantation???

My feeling is that its an extremely early, untimely af!!!!!! Boooooooo!!!! Last af 12/8...this is so annoying!!!

blamber Sun 01-Sep-13 13:51:49

Choccy, they don't seem like very good friends!

Mistyautumn Sun 01-Sep-13 14:01:19

Whoop, finally got a flashing smiley opk on day 20. This is brill as had a 65 day cycle last time. Poor DH gout well and truly pounced oh (unfortunately it was 5.20 am ). Bring on the fixed smiley!

And joining in the weight loss chat.....I am doing slimming world too. Lost 1st 5.5lbs in 6 weeks (not as impressive as it sounds s am a big girl and have a lot to lose). Very impressed by their support of pregnant ladies too xx

mrsmummytobe Sun 01-Sep-13 14:56:59

Ooh some exciting chat going on - just caught up! Sounds like we could be in for some bfps very soon!! smile

Nothing much to report from me, except my boobs are still feeling a bit sore - could be pmt though... will wait & see! Still another week until af is due hmm

ImaginaryHat Sun 01-Sep-13 14:58:55

Wow, been awol for a couple of days and there's so much to catch up on! Only managed to read back a couple of pages but just wanted to check in and say hi.

Sorry af got you Disney, she's still with me too trying to ruin my weekend but Im trying not to let her! Glad you've still got a shot on the September bus though.

Writer, the thought of going off tea actually scares me! After dh it's probably my favourite thing in the world! Can't imagine being able to function properly without my morning brew!

misty that is good news for you, looks like a much shorter cycle this time. 5.5 lbs is still really good even if you have got a lot to lose, well done! I'm not weighing myself as im a bit of a comfort eater when things dont go well, but i get a good idea from how my clothes feel. Have done pretty well this weekend. Tuesday will have to be my treat day as its Petit fours week on the great british bake off, and me and the girls always bake for it and get together to watch it so there will be a lot of sugary treats around!

mama31 Sun 01-Sep-13 15:23:02

Any bfps yet???

I'm still having very light spotting....so frustrating not knowing if af or implantation :/

Mrsmummytobe any symptoms???

CoffeeGuzzler Sun 01-Sep-13 15:27:24

I am obsessed with The great british bake off. Mary is too cool. However infidelity has somewhat diluted the silver fox's appeal in my eyes.

CoffeeGuzzler Sun 01-Sep-13 15:29:50

Why aren't we getting any squeaks from the bfp on 1st gang? Don't they know we are second in line for the good news after their OHs?! grin

CoffeeGuzzler Sun 01-Sep-13 15:31:11

Misty, I wish I could lose that much!! It's quite a bit no matter what size you are. Well done you. Had chinese last night. Ah well.

Mistyautumn Sun 01-Sep-13 15:37:29

Coffee thanks - for the first time ever I am doing this for myself (and my not yet conceived bubba). X

mrsmummytobe Sun 01-Sep-13 15:43:21

Hi mama, nothing much except achey boobs & a heavy sort of feeling a bit like period pain.... I'm thinking it could be af come to pay me an early visit but time will tell! Any more symptoms from you?

mama31 Sun 01-Sep-13 15:45:12

Yes well done misty! Good for u!

Coffee I know I'm dying to hear some good news!!!BFPs where are u?!!!!!

gillywillywoo Sun 01-Sep-13 15:57:20

Urrtggghhggghhh

Going home now after an eventful hen weekend! grin

What have I missed?!

Disney I'm sorry AF came for you but maybe it's fate... We might both get BFPs this month at the same time smile

ImaginaryHat Sun 01-Sep-13 15:58:16

Coffee, I know what you mean about Mr Hollywood, lost a bit of respect for him now, think he's having a midlife crisis! Its all about the Berry and Mel & Sue!

Yes September 1st bfp's reveal yourselves!

Bloumermaid Sun 01-Sep-13 16:59:04

misty that is a real achievement no matter how much further you've got to go - well done you.

Mama31 I'm in exactly the same boat - some spotting today too (more browny now). I'm sure I read somewhere that implantation bleeding can last 2 days. Really think it's way too light for AF...confused!

Thanks everyone for the reassurance on ttc envy - made me feel more normal! It would of course be fab if my sis conceived...just a bit later than me! Lol

leezl Sun 01-Sep-13 16:59:21

I don't know about this Paul Hollywood scandal, but he's always seemed really smarmy and unattractive to me hmm I have always loved Mel and Sue though! I used to watch Late Lunch when I was sick off school grin

CoffeeGuzzler Sun 01-Sep-13 17:10:26

Paul Hollywood has the same kind of smarminess that Tom Cruise has recently.
Anybody knows when Downton and Homeland is back? God I hate summer tv.

leezl Sun 01-Sep-13 17:26:49

Not sure about Downton but surely soon if they usually culminate in a Christmas ep? I'm pretty excited about Doc Martin starting again!

VJONES1985 Sun 01-Sep-13 17:36:58

I know Downton is back this month. Also v excited about the new Whitechapel and Sherlock, too smile

ImaginaryHat Sun 01-Sep-13 17:46:38

I think homeland is early october. I'm eagarly awaiting the series 2 box set release at the end of September so I can watch it hurriedly before season 3 starts! Bit of a latecomer to it and only seen season 1 so far so desperately trying to avoid what happened in series 2!

Also mega exited for Strictly starting again. I love autumn/winter!

ImaginaryHat Sun 01-Sep-13 17:47:07

Ooh yeah forgot about Sherlock!

lucyfluff Sun 01-Sep-13 17:47:16

Cant wait for homeland coffee love it!! Did you watch The Americans I enjoyed that too!!

Not much to report here. Cramps have stopped and no AF yet. Im confused on when to test bcos of withdrawal bleed starting on 1st aug so will poas wed and see what happens.....

Cant wait to see how many bfps we get on here its exciting smile

lucyfluff Sun 01-Sep-13 17:48:23

Forgot to add rupert penry jones yuuuuummmmmy smile)

VJONES1985 Sun 01-Sep-13 17:55:41

Yeah, Rupert's yummy and Benedict Cumberbatch is sexy as Sherlock smile

Can't believe I forgot to mention Strictly!!

Nottalotta Sun 01-Sep-13 18:03:04

Still no news from todays testers??

I am not sure what the hell is going on with me. Had two days of spotting - maybe 3, before AF arrived properly on friday. Had one occasion on thursday which a bit more than spotting. AF was with me saturday but i have had nothing, not even a pinky wipe, since yesterday afternoon. Can't be sure of the time but i know at 3pm i went to the loo and nithing and nothing since then!! Last two AFs have been 4 days from full flo to gone. This would be barely 1.5!!

Can't complain i suppose but don't trust it.

Ref. Wieght loss. I am starting SW tomorrow, not a class, (none local to me at a time i can go) but with a friend who is pretty experienced with it. Just wondering if there are yogurts other than muller light which are free foods?

Nottalotta Sun 01-Sep-13 18:04:04

Meant to say misty thats really good going! I would be so thrilled if i lost a stone in six weeks never mind almost a stone and half!!

Well done on the weight loss misty!

Mama, eagerly awaiting your bfp.

Please don't talk to me about shite winter tv, can't bloody stand it. When oh when will they ever come up with something new?!?
Thank god for on demand! Rant over grin

PurpleGeekyGirl Sun 01-Sep-13 18:22:51

Mama blouer a little more spotting for me too today, just brown cm really and not much of it but is it implantation or the start of af later in the week... A few cramps too...

keepswimming1 Sun 01-Sep-13 18:33:25

Hi everyone

Any BFPs yet? come on ladies

I'm still feeling slightly sick ish, seem to be swallowing a lot more as a result to this. Also my boobs seem to a tad swollen, no longer tingly though. I bet this all in my head and af will still arrive on the 6th

Kemie Sun 01-Sep-13 18:43:03

Well I've just gone to loo and seems AF is on her evil nasty way sad usual initial pre AF spotting!!!! WTF is going on with my stupid body? I think I'll have to dump the B6 I blame that for excessive symptoms and it hasn't even had an effect on what it's supposed to be doing!! Grrrrr rant over, now I'm gonna try and forget about it and enjoy the rest of my holiday....

ImaginaryHat Sun 01-Sep-13 18:53:52

Aw bad luck Kemie sad

Has the b6 not made any difference at all for you? My spotting started 2-3 days later this month and didn't last as long as it has recently done but as it was only month 1 taking it I'm trying to work out if it was the b6 or just coincidence. I did feel a lot more nauseous last cycle though which got my hopes up a bit, which I think was probably the b6.

Anyway, enjoy the rest of your hols smile

Refoca Sun 01-Sep-13 19:03:30

Hi all! Still no AF, still holding out until at least 14th...

Kemie Sun 01-Sep-13 19:10:02

imaginary it's started exactly the same time as last cycle, plus I've had over a week of really sore boobs, random cramping a few days ago and other (could have been psychosymatic) symptoms! AF will be here on full flow on wednesday now! Gutted! Why can't my body. Do what it's supposed to do! [Sad] off to have some wine with the family now! Good luck everyone else

onefunkymama Sun 01-Sep-13 19:19:20

Going to wait until a couple of weeks overdue before testing this time (assuming AF doesn't show up) got disappointed last time after 4 BFPs then loss 4 days later, better not to know too soon. Trying not to calendar watch on 2WW now

ImaginaryHat Sun 01-Sep-13 19:32:47

Aw that's rubbish kemie, last thing we need is false symptoms. Hope you have better luck next cycle. Enjoy your wine

mama31 Sun 01-Sep-13 19:36:15

Bloumer! Purple!!! I have had very light spotting 3 times today it really is very little (clear with small spot of brown sorry tmi)

Its so annoying not knowing if af on its way or implantation!!! When are u both due af/bfp?? Have you tested yet?

PurpleGeekyGirl Sun 01-Sep-13 19:49:32

Af is due on fri according to when I ovd. Might test tues but am now convinced I am not so not sure I want to waste a test... Fx for you both.

Sounding extremely promising mama!

mama31 Sun 01-Sep-13 19:54:46

I know the feeling purple!!! I have some cheapies so might do those tue/wed if af isn't in full flow by then but my af isn't due til nxt sun/mon! So this is pretty early if it is af :/

Good luck purple hope its a bfp for u!

PurpleGeekyGirl Sun 01-Sep-13 20:10:42

Yep mama same here. If af is fri that's a 21 day cycle for me as it is so to be spotting fri and sun is v strange.

VickyVix Sun 01-Sep-13 21:10:31

Ooh does sound promising, I have my fingers crossed. Keep us updated smile

On the symptoms front I've started getting short sharp shooting pains down low this evening (anyone else had that?) and the odd twinge, no idea what it is, probably AF kicking into action for Wednesday /Thursday but feels odd :/

Kemie Sun 01-Sep-13 22:22:06

Thanks imaginary, I had a nice pint of cider and a burger with yummy cornish brie! I'm just pissed off and feel like it's not meant to happen for me! Dunno what that's based on but is in my head! I'm so demoralised, I need to refocus and stop obsessing over ttc but it's so hard.

PurpleGeekyGirl Sun 01-Sep-13 22:31:07

Hugs kemie I've so been there. It's so hard not knowing why it's not happened and trying to be chilled. Glad you had a nice burger and pint smile

ChubbyKitty Sun 01-Sep-13 23:00:16

I'm out sad

Bloumermaid Sun 01-Sep-13 23:06:09

Hi Purple, Mama - your spotting sounds really promising! I'm spotting much less today, feeling hopeful but also don't want to be too hopeful. I'm the same as you Purple, due AF/BFP on Fri 6. Want to try and hold out to test until then but might cave on Weds.
Fx fx fx!

ImaginaryHat Sun 01-Sep-13 23:17:51

Sounds good Kemie glad you enjoyed it.I know its so hard not to obsess, since starting ttc I think about it all the time, I'm going to try to be a bit more relaxed this cycle and see if that helps. Famous last words!

Sorry you're out too chubby flowers

On the plus side sounds like a few potential implant bleeds on the thread so hopefully some good news to look forward to soon. good luck ladies!

VickyVix Sun 01-Sep-13 23:35:24

Sorry to hear that chubby and kemie hugs all round.

I'm trying to play it cool this month but totally not working, this forum is a god send, otherwise my DH would think I was completely nuts!

onefunkymama Sun 01-Sep-13 23:40:06

Kemmie, you are not alone, its hard not to obsess

justhayley Mon 02-Sep-13 01:15:22

Vicky with my DS I had really low shooting pains, they gradually got worse to the point I was sitting on the loo in tears at 3am - after 2 weeks I went to the GP only to find out I was pregnant grin hopefully your pains will turn out the same! (a baby not horribly painful lol).

Well done of the weight loss misty. Just a little advice be careful about losing more than 1-2lbs a week, when you lose more that that quickly without exercise your likely to be losing water and muscle rather than just body fat. I managed a fitness and weight loss centre for 6 years (Curves) & worked with 100s of women a day trying to lose weight. If you can get your body fat % monitored as well as scales weight it's a lot more realistic. SW is brilliant for loosing weight, & gives people a great start, however it's the 2nd most common diet that when you stop you end up putting more on than you lost if done without exercise. (worst culprit is lighter life) It's kind of notorious for it. I don't work for Curves anymore so not trying to sell it to you, but if you have one close to you I would highly recommend it. Sorry reverted into old work mode lol. I know doing it slowly seems silly If you can do it fast but in the long run your more likely to keep the weight off if done slowly. Good luck with it xxx

So today iv had a dull period type ache all day and felt a little sick. If I didn't no better I'd say AF was on the way hmm However I posted a pic of the test I took Friday on my previous MN antenatal Facebook page and everyone seems to think it's a positive. Iv been at my mums this weekend don't think I'll be home till Tuesday. Don't no why but don't want to POAS here, would rather do it in my own home. The am I arnt I is actually killing me. Part of me thinks I must be pregnant, but the more sensible side is saying no, not with an 83 day last cycle, no idea when I ovulated, possible PCoS and breastfeeding a toddler. Wanted it for so long think a part of me is almost frightened to believe i got a BFP encase I do another test and it's gone - does that make sense or am I a bit crazy?

jaykay987 Mon 02-Sep-13 06:11:42

Ooh....lots of exciting possible symptoms girls!

Justhayley - that makes sense to me (but I hoard unchecked lottery tickets in my purse for ages as if I haven't checked them "I still might have won!) grinAt least if you wait il Tomorrow your test will hopefully give you a nice clear positive! FX!

Vivkyvix - I had really sharp painful stabbing pains. Initially in my back low down on left hand side. They've - now moved round the front and are really low. Painful! Definitely nothing I normally get. Not constant. Just three/four stabbing episodes a day.

I've no idea what it is. I (think) Im too early in my cycle for this to be anything. But my cycle is not making sense to me this month. So I am currently in limbo! My temps are up and down which keeps confusing FF. I've had my +ve opks but no sustained temp rise yet. Lots of "normal" ov pain (in addition to stabbing pains) but all prolonged longer than normal. Sleeping really disrupted this week - I am regularly wide awake at 3/4am! I feel so energetic I want to get up and start cleaning or something! Very unlike me! I don't always sleep well, but that always issues getting to sleep - never waking super early. So not sure what impact this is having on my temps - other than making them erratic!

Anyway - who has more exciting news to share this morning?

mrsmummytobe Mon 02-Sep-13 06:16:47

Morning, how is everyone today? Good luck to anyone poas!! smile

I'm so tired today. Couldn't get back to sleep after waking up from a really vivid and scary dream (I'm back to school today so I think that would explain it) so now I'm going to be really tired for first day back!

nettle86 Mon 02-Sep-13 06:55:41

So no sign of AF (due yesterday) but POAS 7 times in the past week and no luck! Guess its the waiting game hmm

chubbykitty and kemie hmm for AF

Fingers crossed for all who might have implantation bleeds.

I'm already counting myself out this month and trying not to get cross with DH only managed to DTD twice in fertile window, once at very beginning and once at very end. I'm only using app on phone to guess when ov happens so might buy sticks for next month. DH was too stressed with work to DTD mid week....need my cycle to change so I'm ovulating at the weekend then we'd be fine.

It's so frustrating knowing I've now got about three weeks before we can try again....tick tock tick tock feels like I have a huge clock over my head and time is running out hmm

Owlie84 Mon 02-Sep-13 07:42:35

I feel your pain killa, it sucks! I have a clock over my head too, and very sporadic dtd opportunity! sad I'm using Fertility Friend as an app, what are you using? Also thinking of getting some Ov sticks for our next cycle; it all helps, right?! ;)

monkette Mon 02-Sep-13 07:53:46

I'm moving to the back of the bus as af got me this morning. So now I'll be due a bfp on the 28th sept. Good luck to those still to test smile

wispaxmas Mon 02-Sep-13 08:09:04

Sorry to hear AF got you, CK. are you moving to the back of the bus, or do you have a longer cycle?

Justhayley, it really did look like a bfp to me, but I understand your hesitation. Good luck in the next few days!

keepswimming1 Mon 02-Sep-13 08:12:44

Hi killa, you might still be in luck, if your not using the sticks then you don't know exactly when you ovulated right...so you might have dtd at the perfect time!!
I use P Tracker app, and the one time I used the stick I ovulated 4 days later than what the app said.

So Good luck all. x

DisneyDiva87 Mon 02-Sep-13 08:13:35

I was out all day yesterday and spent some time with my 'nephews' (we're like an aunt and uncle to them but we aren't related) they are 5 and 8 and 2 of the cutest boys ever. GIVE ME A BABY NOW!

Sorry for the ones AF got, she's such a cow. I'm quite excited for this month cause hubby is a lot more interested if only I could get him to stop trying at 3am... Fingers crossed for Sept grin this WILL be our month Gily!

wispaxmas Mon 02-Sep-13 08:15:26

Where are all our bfps? I have such high hopes for September.

As for me, we'll, I'm only CD6, been temping for 4 days so far and happy to see my BBT has remained steady to within 0.05 degrees C, when I thought for sure it would vary a lot more and make the whole charting thing impossible for me to read. Hopefully it remains steady until I ovulate so I can have a bit of assurance.

There's not much I can do for about a week, really, but I'm going to follow smep this month, so that mean bd every other day from CD8(woohoo!) and opks every day from CD10. This is the first month we're not 'letting what happens happen', so I'm sure ill be just as bad as last month in the 2ww, obsessively symptom spotting, even though I KNOW there's no reliable symptom other than a missed period, because everything else could be pms.

Enough of an essay from me, bring on the bfps!

DisneyDiva87 Mon 02-Sep-13 08:16:52

Oh and congrats on all the weight loss! I put on a dress this morning and I'm thinking I should shift a few pounds before I collect some more.

I cant wait for downtown abbey to start again. I'm also waiting for game of thrones but that's not till march next year and Grimm. That should be starting again soon

wispaxmas Mon 02-Sep-13 08:16:53

Ahh, sorry to you, too monkette, I didn't see your post thanks

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 08:30:42

Sorry to all the bfn's sad I think I'm prob gona be joining u soon this month....more brownish mucus this morning....reckon early af is on its way!! Pretty certain actually! sad

ArmyLovin Mon 02-Sep-13 08:32:39

Af came on 29th August.. Quite happy about having a shorter cycle but I had 2 af in aug hmm

Due to ov on a weekend dp is home so praying this month is my month.

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 08:50:27

Mrsmummytobe how you holding out on the testing?? Any symptoms yet??

Bloumer and purple is this af we are experiencing?? Let me know how the spotting is today so we can compare notes (coz we are so behind the door like that lol)

lucyfluff Mon 02-Sep-13 08:51:21

Think I'm out too sad have brown start to AF and horrible cramps , will see how it goes over next few days. In a way if it is AF at least my cycle is back on track after patch.

Good luck to all the poas's today smile

PurpleGeekyGirl Mon 02-Sep-13 09:00:38

Sorry af got you chubby

Bfn for me this morning. Not surprised really given horrid cramps that started yesterday. Seems I can now add brown spotting a week after ov to every other symptom I have ever had and still not be upduffed. Ho hum I shall move to the back of the bus and await afs imminent arrival. Hope others are more lucky than me smile

Nulanoo Mon 02-Sep-13 09:03:52

Morning smile

Well I just did a test, bfn! I don't think it's a good idea for me to keep them in the house really! My extreme thirst has gone now and no more ewcm. I'm now in cd24 I think x

keepswimming1 Mon 02-Sep-13 09:26:45

So I still feel slightly sick - I never thought I would be happy about it (got I hope I get a bfp)
I'm going to test Saturday if af hasn't arrived by then ( I am going to wait til then..I AM I AM I AM) smile

DisneyDiva87 Mon 02-Sep-13 09:34:46

That's ambitious keepswimming

-just keep swimming, just keep swimming, what do we do we swiiiiiim!-

DisneyDiva87 Mon 02-Sep-13 09:35:33

Aw I just realised my tests will probably arrive today sad

keepswimming1 Mon 02-Sep-13 09:45:09

ha ha ha ha ha ha i love to swim when,
when you come just swim swim swim.

LOL - you are obviously a Disney fan smile

flame40s Mon 02-Sep-13 09:56:05

My app tells me my bfp is 6th but I still think its 9th so I wont test... I wont test...

Been symptom spotting all weekend including recording my Vivid dreams feeling v emotional and making every tiny pain implantation related!!

However some advice you all you lovely ladies if the sharp abdominal pains are really painful DO NOT IGNORE! I had an ectopic pregnancy some years ago. My af had started but the flow didnt seem right and I felt like something was wrong. I ended up in crippling pain and in A&E in an operation theatre within 4hours to avoid hemoaerage. I had no idea I was even pregnant as I had my af. If the pain is so bad b4 during or after af get it seen by a gp.

I may buy some cheap hpt today. My good friend tells me ones in the pound shop are worth buying.

Good luck to all, heres hoping september is a good month. (wink)

flame40s Mon 02-Sep-13 09:58:46

Im on 11dpo is it too early to test?

lucyfluff Mon 02-Sep-13 10:07:49

DEFO out this month spotting has turned bright red within an hour boo to AF you nasty witch!!! This does mean I had a rough 28/29 day cycle so next BFP due 30 th sept im hanging onto this bus!!!!

jaykay987 Mon 02-Sep-13 10:10:48

DPO 12 will be more reliable. BUT a positive on DPO9 is a regular occurance!

(POAS, POAS, POAS, POAS) grin

Or wait til you're ready - up to you!

(I must stop living vicariously through other people's tests! blush)

bushprincess Mon 02-Sep-13 10:14:03

Morning everyone! Can't believe I've been away for the weekend and you're already on pg 14 of a new bus! chatty ladies!

I've scanned through quickly so sorry if I've missed someones news, but sorry to Suz, Onelife, disney, monkette on your bfn;s sad

justhayley have you tested again? is it a stronger line?? have fx for you but sounds v. positive!! hurrah!

Anyone else tested yet?? I was expecting AF yesterday (based upon the short cycles I've been having) but nothing yet... trying v. hard not to get my hopes up...

12 dpo today so am going to try to be strong and if no AF I'll test on thursday - 15dpo...

can't belive it'll be positive though - nothing resembling a symptom yet (bar sore boobs - but that may have more to do with riding (horses) all weekend!)

owlie hugs to you - I feel your pain, dh gets very anxious and so dtd is not as frequent as I'd like (at anytime really, but esp now we're TTC!) It is tough as he says he really wants a kid, but when it actually comes down to it... well sad

Daisy hugs to you - I'm sure that if you tell some nearest and dearest you'll get the support you need and not the constant questioning of 'when will you have another'.

Good luck to everyone testing today! lets get some more bfps on this bus!!

Refoca are you still on your insane 'wait till the 14th' mission?!!!

bushprincess Mon 02-Sep-13 10:15:21

ach, sorry lucy thats rubbish, hugs to you and good luck for next time!

fifi669 Mon 02-Sep-13 10:27:55

AF arrived 3 days late after wasting a ridiculous amount of tests....

Still due a BFP at the end of the month.... Hopefully!

flame40s Mon 02-Sep-13 10:28:35

jaykay987 thankyou. I think I will definitely buy some hpts today and try and resist testing till at least tomorrow.

im flying to Spain tomorrow afternoon for 10 days and cant wait... please let me be bfp so oh can chill out and stop stressing about dtd ingredients! I'll happily forego holiday mohitos for a bambino. grin

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 10:39:32

Still spotting (brown) wish full af would just come already as all this waiting around (hoping its implantation when it is def af on its way) is just frustrating! At least I could start plotting my bfp for end of this month if I knew 100%! Worried about short cycle now tho :/

Flame 40's good luck for bfp and have a wonderful holiday you lucky duck!!!

Defo need to see some bfps on this bus soon!!!! (No pressure, no pressure...)

DisneyDiva87 Mon 02-Sep-13 10:43:10

That's all that goes through my head when I see your name Keepswimming I had to cave and type it.

DisneyDiva87 Mon 02-Sep-13 10:44:11

What are you awiting for bush!! 12dpo is plenty of time to start testing!!

We need BFPS!!!!

Sorry for spamming! Last post for now and here's a funny link to make up for it, if ever you are stuck for a slang term for yer foof - theweek.com/article/index/248702/35-classy-slang-terms-for-naughty-bits-from-the-past-600-years

p.s. Gilly I didn't realise you meant our bfp date was exactly the same!! This must be a sign, this is our month gilly! I'M SO EXCITED!

bushprincess Mon 02-Sep-13 11:01:05

sorry fifi and fx for the end of the month!

disney actually 13dpo (I can't count!) but eek... I don't want to risk the disappointment of a bfn... only have 1 hpt in the house (and good ones are v.v. expensive here...)

am flying to the UK on thurs so am going to try to hold out till that morning, so if I'm lucky enough to get a bfp I can go shopping for all things maternity related when I'm home! (and if not then can stock up on opk's and hpt's for the next offensive!!)

it is daft though - I'm constantly checking to see if AF has crept up on me without me noticing!!! D'oh!

lucyfluff Mon 02-Sep-13 11:16:14

Mine will now be TTC#4, cycle 2, BFP 30th please smile

DisneyDiva87 Mon 02-Sep-13 11:16:34

I know how you feel bush! Can you not get deliveries from Amazon? I got 15 hpts for £2.80.

wispaxmas Mon 02-Sep-13 11:16:39

Where abouts do you live, bushprincess?

justhayley Mon 02-Sep-13 11:17:55

Morning I'm in a bit of a state and need some hand holding.
As you know I got a BFP but faint ish line on friday, the plan was to test again today or tomorrow.
This morning I woke up went to the toilet and and quite a lot of red watery blood in my underwear. I'm absolutely devastated and not sure if maybe my BFP wasn't a positive or perhaps I'm having an early miscarriage either way it's not good.
I'm not at home so called the local EPU and explained the situation - they said that even if the line was faint they would say it was positive and that I should go to A&E now (as I'm not near my GP) and get a referral to them.

I'm just having a bath then going to go to A&E.
Can anyone tell me what they will do?
If It was a positive and I'm losing it would I still get a positive result if I tested now? Will they be able to tell if I was pregnant or had a false positive and AF has just arrive? (am going to feel ridiculous I I'm going to A&E because my period came)!

Please talk to me I'm in a total panic sad
Xxx

DisneyDiva87 Mon 02-Sep-13 11:19:31

Do you still have the test justhayley? Can you fish it out of the bin and take it along so you can show your faint line? At least then you have proof that you got a bfp

DisneyDiva87 Mon 02-Sep-13 11:20:05

Also, should have said, really sorry for you, have a virtual hug ((O))

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 11:26:08

Awh justhayley so sorry!!! Just don't panic they will fully understand your concern but yes bring the test with u if pos (good idea disney). So sad for u sad hugs lots of!!!!

flame40s Mon 02-Sep-13 11:29:44

Thankyou mama31 I cant wait, my summer hols are late this year... hope my af is even later like 9 months later!

So I just went on amazon and bought heaps of early ov and hpts on next day delivery so I can pack them!! I really am crazy!

gillywillywoo Mon 02-Sep-13 11:30:35

Justhayley I'm so sorry thanks

I got a faint line on a test a week or so ago.. I tested a few more times and kept getting faint lines. DH could see them so I know it wasn't my imagination and I also uploaded some pics online and the ladies from the August bus could see the lines too... So they were definitely real.

After a day or so the lines started to get even fainter and then they pretty much disappeared.
Then AF arrived blush

I'm guessing it was a chemical pregnancy.
I've never ever EVER had any kind of faint line before and this time I got numerous faint lines on numerous tests.

I didn't go to the doctors or even tell anybody apart from DH (and mumsnetters!).

I had a little cry and now see it as almost I good thing.. I CAN get pregnant... I WILL get pregnant! Last month just wasnt my month.

I looked up chemical pregnancies and they happen for the same reason as some later miscarriages. Normally there's a chromosome issue which stops the little bean from progressing any further. I'm guessing that's what happened for me sad

I dont really have any advice because everyone is different.
AF has buggered off for me now so I'm back on the OPKs as of tomorrow (CD8) and will be SMEP-ing and DTD as much as possible this cycle!
Our false alarm last cycle has made DH (and me) want this even more smile

gillywillywoo Mon 02-Sep-13 11:32:55

By the way disney I'm excited that our BFPs are due at the same time smile
Hope my body behaves this month and doesn't throw a wobbly and ovulate late like previous months!

How awesome if we both got a bfp at the same time grinsmile

FoxMulder Mon 02-Sep-13 11:35:12

It's deffo good Gilly. It was just your body having a practice!

keepswimming1 Mon 02-Sep-13 11:45:33

Well disney - I think you are right, I think I was being ambitious. I don't think I'm going to be able to wait much longer.

So I have no tests in the house, so can anyone recommend any cheap supermarket ones, as I'm not going to be able to get into town all week smile
I'll be testing 4 days for missed period??

I'm still feeling sick, and very emotional, so I just have to know... NOW smile

VJONES1985 Mon 02-Sep-13 11:45:46

Hi Gilly. I'm also on cd7 today and will be SMEP-ing this month. I am just praying that I don't have a 7-day luteal phase like I did last month :-( Good luck!

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 11:55:31

Keepswimming do it!!!!! Good luck!!!! Superdrug ones apparently good or do an early response one! Can't wait to hear, symptoms sound promising! smile

keepswimming1 Mon 02-Sep-13 12:02:57

I think I have got myself a tad excited lol I will be very disappointed.

I can't get to a superdrug, any other ideas for cheapos?

CoffeeGuzzler Mon 02-Sep-13 12:33:06

Morning everyone. Just caught up on the last few pages. So sorry about all the bfns. Kemie, Chubby, Killa, Lucy hugs all around. Sorry if I have missed anyone. Not a good start to September!!

justhayley that's terrible. Holding your hand. I hope you have fished out the stick out of the bin and taken it to the hospital. Better to know really.

wispaxmas Mon 02-Sep-13 12:34:16

Keepswimming, boots are 25 mIU/ml, which is just as sensitive as FRER tests!

bushprincess Mon 02-Sep-13 12:49:57

justhayley so so sorry, huge hugs, I've no advise other than disneys suggestion that you take the test along, but sounds like it was a chemical pregnancy. Hope you're feeling ok, physically if not emotionally.

disney and wispa I'm in zimbabwe and amazon does deliver here, but I'd be waiting quite some time!!!

mrsmummytobe Mon 02-Sep-13 12:53:37

Just caught up on all the news. Sorry & hugs for the bfns sad justhayley I'm really sorry to hear what's happening. Really hope you're ok.

mrsmummytobe Mon 02-Sep-13 12:54:44

mama are you still testing with me on 7th??? smile I'm not massively hopeful but no sign of af yet so you never know....

keepswimming1 Mon 02-Sep-13 12:58:36

I will go and pick one up tonight when I finish work smile

Big hug for justhayley xx

VickyVix Mon 02-Sep-13 13:16:52

Sorry to hear this justhayley but best to get checked out anyway just so you know what's going on. Take the test with you if you can. I'm sure they will be totally understanding. Sending hugs to you.

LittleMouseontheDairy Mon 02-Sep-13 13:19:03

Hello, I've been lurking a bit, twiddling my thumbs as DP is away until mid-Oct so am waiting to join a November bus.

But I just wanted to give justhayley a hand hold. There can be other reasons for early pregnancy bleeding, but I don't know of that applies so very early on. I hope it goes ok in A&E. I wouldn't bother doing another test right now, but maybe they'll do one at A&E? You got a BFP (faint or not) so they won't think you're being daft for going in! Chin up, breathe and I hope it goes ok.

flowers

<waves to the rest of you and all the best for BFP tests coming up!>

Oh justhayley I'm so sorry. Def go in though with your test if you have it. Hugs for you xxxx

And go for it keepswimming!!

My opks have just arrived, I don't know what to do.
If I have a 35 day cycle, FF says my fertile days are next week. If I put in 30 days, it says my fertile days start tomorrow. So confused as to what to do! I've never used them before!

flame40s Mon 02-Sep-13 13:26:10

I hope justhayley is OK. They will probably take bloods from her and test to see if hormone levels are rising or falling to detect MC or continued pregnancy. Im no expert, but thats what I think will happen. I hope its not ectopic sad

Big hug from me.

PurpleGeekyGirl Mon 02-Sep-13 13:48:40

Hugs Hayley hope you're ok. I had a chemical pg earlier in the year. Look after yourself and don't be afraid to really feel what you are feeling.

Af has rudely arrived in full flow for me now (in the middle of town whilst shopping for my brother and sil's baby gift shock ) not sure what I did to deserve a 17 day cycle but I am pretty pissed off tbh. Still, at least I can hopefully get my 21 day bloods done this time.

lucyfluff Mon 02-Sep-13 13:50:10

Hugs justhayley hope you are ok. Ive never bled that early in pregnancy so no advice sorry. Mine were all from 5/6 weeks and epu did an internal scan on two of mine and all was fine with bubbas so fingers crossed yours is too xx

CoffeeGuzzler Mon 02-Sep-13 14:28:30

All through teenage and early 20s...boink boink once = slammed with screaming baby.
No it bloody isn't!

CoffeeGuzzler Mon 02-Sep-13 14:37:34

So sorry purple. Offering a hug and large g&t.

JellyBeanDavey Mon 02-Sep-13 14:49:31

Afternoon ladies!

Sorry justhayley thanks sorry you're not having a great time. Keep your chin up!

Been in Windsor all weekend. Was lovely. Cycled along the Thames. Good old fashion camping smile and no pee sticks smile

Though I am looking forward to peeing on some sticks tomorrow.

Feeling very bloated today and had some sickness over the weekend. DP says I'm looking pregnant with the bloaty-ness lol ah if only he knew how much harder that makes not peeing on a stick lol

How is everyone doing?

DisneyDiva87 Mon 02-Sep-13 14:58:38

I'm melting, it's too hot today.

At least AF hasn't shown up to rain on your parade Jelly fingers crossed you get a 2nd pink/purple line tomorrow!!

onelifeonechance Mon 02-Sep-13 15:00:00

I'm back from my camping trip and good grief ladies you can talk, it's taken me all day to catch up on the 12+ pages of chat that i've missed out on in the mere 2 days i've been incommunicado!!!

Sorry to hear of the BFNs and those who af has caught up with, there's been too many so far this bus sad Hope those waiting to poas change the trend a bit! smile Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you.
And i hope you're ok justhayley, big hugs being sent your way.

So can those on the back row budge up a bit as i'm heading your way, new stats as follows:
ttc#1, cycle 3, BFP 24th Sep

Will attempt to update the list but just warning you beforehand that technology is not my strong point so apologies in advance if i bugger it up.

And couldn't agree more choccy I'm now actually feeling quite sad about all the boink boinking that i missed out on being such a good girl in my youth for dreaded fear that even the slightest hint of a touch from a boys doodah might get me upduffed..if only i knew the truth, think of the fun i could've had wink

onelifeonechance Mon 02-Sep-13 15:03:17

Taadah!!

PS Choccy - we're due our BFPs same day!! grin

leezl Mon 02-Sep-13 15:04:02

So sorry Hayley, if you feel up to it would you let us know you're alright after the hospital? Xoxo

onelifeonechance Mon 02-Sep-13 15:04:17

OOps, sorry Coffee and Choccy, got you mixed up for my last message - the boink boink business was supposed to be aimed at coffee

FoxMulder Mon 02-Sep-13 15:06:28

Hot? Where are you again Disney? I've got the heating on!

leezl Mon 02-Sep-13 15:07:53

Coffee I got pregnant when I was 21 completely by accident, after one sesh AND morning-after pill, so now DH thinks it'll happen immediately for us again. But we are seven years older now so I tried to tell him to be cautious! If only I could prove him right!

VJONES1985 Mon 02-Sep-13 15:14:24

Fox - you've got the heating on?? Where are you?

keepswimming1 Mon 02-Sep-13 15:15:27

foxmulder where are you? .... Iceland??? the weather is lovely today. I'm in the south west and its glorious smile

I hope I can add to the BFPs list later smile

leezl Mon 02-Sep-13 15:18:07

It's absolutely baking around London >.<

FoxMulder Mon 02-Sep-13 15:19:55

Cumbria. It's 17 degrees (inside and out - the heating's not kicked in yet!). I saw them saying summer's back this morning on the weather, and thought they were taking the piss. It's really dark too - I've got the lights on!

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 15:20:36

Mrsmummytobe I would def be up for testing together on the 7th but reckon af will be in full flow by then for me sad still brown spotting today (3rd day of it) so defo thinking its the beginning of af.....how depressing!!!! Cheer me up tho with your bfp!!! Just the news that's needed on here!!!! smile

Justhayley hope your ok....thinking of you xo

CoffeeGuzzler Mon 02-Sep-13 15:25:51

onelife choccy coffee pregnant expectant..we are all morphing into one another!!

Leezl Rubbing my shoulder with yours to catch some fertility superdust.

Quite warm and sunny today here in London. Saw plenty of people wearing braless spaghetti strap tops on the way to work. I would too if wasn't in stuffy office and more importantly, didn't have tits that like to swing about.

VJONES1985 Mon 02-Sep-13 15:30:06

Yep, I'm in Kent and it's about 26 degrees :-) (Sorry,FoxMulder!)

leezl Mon 02-Sep-13 15:30:54

Haha oh coffee don't, I'm still waiting >.< I think at that age you must just be raging with fertility.

Spirael Mon 02-Sep-13 15:30:56

Hi all, any chance I can add to the mayhem and join you all? smile I'm a bit out of practice, I've not been in this area of MN for around 4 years now!

Been working on trying to conceive DC2. DD1 took several months and a chemical pregnancy, so I'm not expecting anything too quick! I'll be testing around the 19th. (International Talk Like a Pirate Day - yarr!)

I'm not quite as far North as Fox, but it's pretty cold here! Did not want to crawl out of bed this morning, brr...

ThreeFromDesire Mon 02-Sep-13 15:42:13

Ahhhhh, sorry I've not been on. Made it to America, whoop! Having a great time BUT still no period! Was due on the 30th August. Could it be the flight? I've not tested because I have t had chance plus I'm moody and cramping so just keep waiting for af...

I'm glad to hear you are all having amazing weather (give or take) its bloody roasting here but the odd storm dissipates the heat some what.

Welcome spirael!

Yay onelife, I have a POAS buddy grin

Fingers crossed keepswimming!

Coffee, you did make me laugh with the tits that swing about comment ha ha!

It's hot here, I'm in Warwickshire smile

DisneyDiva87 Mon 02-Sep-13 15:54:26

Doubt there's anyone as far north as me, I'm in Aberdeen

VJONES1985 Mon 02-Sep-13 15:58:41

choccy re your opk query - you can use them every day if you want to so you could start today/tomorrow and then find out when your fertile period is according to them smile

FoxMulder Mon 02-Sep-13 16:03:36

That's what I thought Disney! How is it warmer in Scotland? The south east I would expect, but not Aberdeen. Hmpf <grumpy>. 16 degrees outside now. But 19 in smile

DisneyDiva87 Mon 02-Sep-13 16:05:19

It's 25 degrees here

Of course it'll come back round in winter...

CoffeeGuzzler Mon 02-Sep-13 16:06:03

I went to Uni of Edinburgh and had a particularly drunken weekend in Aberdeen once. Back in the days when I didn't get any hangover or bad photos.

DisneyDiva87 Mon 02-Sep-13 16:08:10

I remember those days... I was out last night and didn't drink at all because I knew it would be hard enough to get up for work with sleep deprivation never mind a hang over as well (I also copped out early and went home at 12)

PurpleGeekyGirl Mon 02-Sep-13 16:14:51

Thanks coffee. Onwards and upwards to the next cycle tho eh!

It's flipping warm today here in Norwich too. I packed for the start of Autumn and it's 25 degrees melts

Nulanoo Mon 02-Sep-13 16:16:55

Not that warm here sad my AF is due Sunday I'm really nervous!

Spirael Mon 02-Sep-13 16:19:50

Hmm... I'm a bit confused now. I seem to be having some EWC, but I'm only on day 10 of my cycle! Surely that's too early?

mrsmummytobe Mon 02-Sep-13 16:19:55

Hugs mama, sorry to hear that. Sorry for all the bfns & those that af has got. Let's hope tomorrow will bring some bfps!

VJONES1985 Mon 02-Sep-13 16:22:07

Spirael Some women get more than one batch of ewcm in a cycle but if you are ovulating it's quite early but not unheard of. You may not actually ovulated for another two or three days anyway.

DisneyDiva87 Mon 02-Sep-13 16:22:31

Not at all Spireal what matters is the length of time after you ovulate (10 days + before your period)

VJONES1985 Mon 02-Sep-13 16:24:47

Yep. Hence why I was gutted last month to have a luteal phase of only seven days sad

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 16:27:55

Thanks mummytobe! Vj I hear ya! My luteal phase appears to have been way too short this month...8/9 days if this is actually my af...which I think It is!! sad

CoffeeGuzzler Mon 02-Sep-13 16:28:01

I know what you mean Disney. A few months ago me and the dh went to a hip club for a friend's 'leaving for Oz' do. Hundreds of bodies gyrating...loud loud music..the noise..the sweat..the waiting at the bar for 20 minutes get a flipping drink. I just wanted to please go somewhere where I can sit down and order something not in a plastic glass. Shameful! I'm only 30! Whatever happened?!

Nulanoo Mon 02-Sep-13 16:29:00

spirael i had it cd7,8,10, 14 and 17 then a white coloured ewcm on cd18 and 21 I don't really understand it all!!

CoffeeGuzzler Mon 02-Sep-13 16:31:26

Spireal Welcome and I agree with all the ladies talking about the importance of luteal phase. I also know of women who get it before their period!

VJONES1985 Mon 02-Sep-13 16:35:13

mama Have you just come off the pill or is your short luteal phase just an anomaly this month?

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 17:13:39

Vj I came off the pill on 22/7, had my 1st af on 12/8 and now have had brown spotting for 3 days and feel like af coming again! Not sure if short luteal phase is gona be a recurring problem or if my cycles just up the left after coming off the pill! All the same its really doing my head in! What about u??

onelifeonechance Mon 02-Sep-13 17:25:40

OMG Choccy - not only are we poas buddies, i'm in Warwickshire too!!! grin

onelifeonechance Mon 02-Sep-13 17:30:01

Mama Sorry to hear you're all up in the air with everything, hope things become clear and settle for you v soon

onelifeonechance Mon 02-Sep-13 17:31:31

I'm having short cycles 23/24 days on average, this will be my first month using opks so wondering what my luteal phase will be, maybe an issue.....

onelifeonechance Mon 02-Sep-13 17:32:07

Must stop sitting at computer and get out in to this sunshine

onelifeonechance Mon 02-Sep-13 17:34:01

Think i've stopped being addicted to getting a BFP and now appear to be addicted to MN!! I need help grin

PS (just so you know that was a joke and i am still officially addicted to getting a BFP) But i must stop talking to myself....

VJONES1985 Mon 02-Sep-13 17:38:11

Yeah, same. Cycle one after the pill had a 7 day LP and now on cycle two. Will be gutted if it happens again but will consider a high daily dose of vitamin b6 to hopefully sort it out.

VickyVix Mon 02-Sep-13 17:41:02

Ha onelife good to see you back on the bus and glad you had a good trip. I too have become addicted to MN.

I'm having to sit on my hands to stop myself PO more S's!

Must wait until Wednesday, well Thursday really, but fly on Weds evening.

Have some interesting twinges going on this afternoon.

keepswimming1 Mon 02-Sep-13 17:42:44

BFN sad

mrsmummytobe Mon 02-Sep-13 17:57:36

keepswimming it might just be too early to test?

Ladies who are worried about short luteal phase/irregular periods, I have had Angus castus recommended to me - haven't tried it yet but it's meant to be brilliant for regulating your cycles.

bushprincess Mon 02-Sep-13 18:02:36

keepswimming you're not due to the 5th are you?? so all is not lost keepsmiling

justhayley any news? hope you're ok

onelifeonechance Mon 02-Sep-13 18:02:54

Ah Vix sit on those hands, you can do it! Distraction techniques required - what could you try? Baking?? Cleaning?? Exercise?? Art?? What's your thing? Whatever it is you've got 48hours to fill - maybe you could learn a new language, where are you jetting off to? smile

wispaxmas Mon 02-Sep-13 18:11:18

Coffee and Disney I completely get what you mean about going out. I feel so old copping out to take the last fast train home before midnight instead of getting wasted and taking the very last painfully slow train at half 1! I'm still only 29, but a total old lady, preferring to stay in on a friday night or just go to a pub with hubby and the dog!

onelifeonechance Mon 02-Sep-13 18:17:54

Me too VJones - we were at a festival at the weekend and the first night we snuck back to our tent and had an early night and then had to make out to our much cooler and younger neightbours who rolled in gone 4am that we too had had a mad night when the reality was we were tucked up all cosy in our tent before 11pm!! Rock 'n' roll grin

Oh no keep swimming hmm keep testing though, as others have said, may be too early!

Ooooo onelife, I'm in a town beginning with R, with a famous school, and where the game comes from wink

panicmechanic Mon 02-Sep-13 18:25:13

OMG SMEP is exhausting! Got smiley face on Saturday... Dtd loads and will continue for the next couple of days. Fingers crossed as I think this will be my last month of TTC. I already have (totally in my head) symptoms.... Btw do you cut out drinking completely in your 2ww? Not much of a drinker but I have a client do this week. Good luck everyone xx

VickyVix Mon 02-Sep-13 18:26:41

Cooking is my thing onelife DH is going to get a yummy dinner tonight and tomorrow so I avoid POAS!!! I guess the need to pack my suitcase will also keep me busy.

Off to Malaysia smile i so hope AF stays away.

keepswimming stay positive, your due BFP the day after me. I got nothing on tests at the weekend so trying to hold out until Weds, it's not over until AF shows her face

onelifeonechance Mon 02-Sep-13 18:27:03

I've cracked your code choccy just call me Miss Marple wink

I'm in a village beginning with K with nothing significant about it, but it's close to the place where they make shiny new cars.

How funny! There's a small part of me breathing a sigh of relief that you're not my next door neighbour when i've told you all my deepest secrets from the bedroom department!!

Sorry for your BFN keepswimming, but don't lose faith if af hasn't arrived yet

nettle86 Mon 02-Sep-13 18:30:35

Still no sign of AF-2 days late now. But don't want to POAS again cause fed up of seeing BFN. Had really sore boobs all last week and still a bit achy now-i'm hoping that I just don't have enough hCG in my system but i'm sure the bitch will catch me soon.

VJONES1985 Mon 02-Sep-13 18:31:24

mummy - I can't remember what they are but apparently there are some bad side effects to agnus castus...

VickyVix Mon 02-Sep-13 18:31:54

Keep at it panic will be totally worth it in the end smile

I must admit I've had rather a lot to drink in my 2ww I think something in my head keeps thinking if I can't drink for 9 months + I may as well enjoy myself now! Sounds worse now I've written that down :/

Something I read said the bean generates it's own supply of nutrients from yolk sack before it implants so guess it's ok, at least early in 2ww.

Please note: advice not necessarily medically correct, don't want to lead you astray.

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 18:35:40

Thanks onelife, VJ and mummytobe! What would be classes as a high enough dose of B6 for luteal phase?? I take b6 every day anyway and have done for a long time before ttc as its beneficial during my time of the month (ie moodiness/anxiety) but didn't realise its good for luteal phase so wondering what dose should I take???

Also agnus cactus?? What is this and where can I get it? I'm only really on cycle 2 or am I on cycle 1 having had 1 period after pill?! (Sorry bombarding with questions here!!!) I'm just desperate to get a normal cycle...but I was on the pill for a long time (12 yrs with only a couple of short breaks) so maybe my cycle is gona be messed up for a while sad any other reccomendations?? I think I'm gona do opks for nxt cycle (I said I wouldn't but I just need to ensure I'm ttc at the right time)

Keepswimming don't worry might just be too early!

Ladies so glad to hear all your stories and support for eachother! Its very reassuring smile

VJONES1985 Mon 02-Sep-13 18:40:01

mama I would recommend opks. I am also on cycle 2 after stopping the pill after 12 years. You need at least 50mg of b6 a day to lengthen luteal phase.

panicmechanic Mon 02-Sep-13 18:47:31

Thanks Vickyvix! My sister is a doctor and said the same! X

CoffeeGuzzler Mon 02-Sep-13 18:48:15

There's time yet keepswimming

wispa I am all for heading out to the pub with the hubby and the dogs. I have two cocker spaniels. Only 30. Surprised I haven't taken up knitting yet.

mama opks are great. Go for it.

Doing the asterisk thing to boldify words is not easy on iPad!

mrsmummytobe Mon 02-Sep-13 18:48:37

Ok I seem to have caught the poas bug that's been going around this thread as even though it will be 4 days early I think I'm going to poas tmrw morning!!! I'm sure it will be a negative but I just can't wait much longer lol!! So.... the question is do I use an amazon cheapie (think they are 10 miu) or a superdrug one??

mrsmummytobe Mon 02-Sep-13 18:49:51

Or actually should I just try & hold out til sat lol?! smile

VJONES1985 Mon 02-Sep-13 18:52:50

Wish I could join you all but I'm only cd7!!!

bushprincess Mon 02-Sep-13 18:55:32

hold out!!!!!!!!!!!!

lucyfluff Mon 02-Sep-13 18:57:40

Do it tmrw we need a bfp to cheer us bfners up smile))

mrsmummytobe Mon 02-Sep-13 19:02:52

Haha that might be a bit too hopeful lucyfluff smile waiting has just got the better of me - I definitely shouldn't have tests in the house!

MrsB2013 Mon 02-Sep-13 19:09:02

Hi ladies

Can I get on this bus please?

TTC #1 Cycle 2 BFP around the 28th

Am on CD6, just had first af after coming off the pill in July.

Fingers crossed for loads of bfp's this month!!

lucyfluff Mon 02-Sep-13 19:11:25

Il keep my fingers crossed for you anyway smile x

mrsmummytobe Mon 02-Sep-13 19:14:21

Aww thanks lucy smile

CoffeeGuzzler Mon 02-Sep-13 19:20:15

Mrsmummytobe go on and scratch the itch smile

Writerwannabe83 Mon 02-Sep-13 19:33:01

Onelife and Choccy - I'm Warwickshire too!!! grin

Bloumermaid Mon 02-Sep-13 19:35:51

panic we did SMEP over the last month and I totally agree, it's exhausting! Plus I had EWCM one week and +OPK the next, so seemed like I was grabbing DH every 5 mins!

Ladies coming off the pill - I know it's frustrating but give your bodies the chance to recover, they'll sort themselves out eventually! Think mine finally has after 5 months (although no AF still but I'm hoping that's for a good reason)

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 19:37:29

Mummytobe! Do it!!! I'm certain this is start of my af so no point waitng for me!! Do a wee cheapie amazon one sure if its too early it didn't cost much!
Frig it! Do it tonight!!! Hahaha!!! I'm dying for some good news can you tell!! Lol

VJ I think I'm gona try the 50mg of b6 daily then plus opks! I suppose the good news is that I could still be in the running for a bfp end of this month....always a positive somewhere smile what pill were you on vj? Did your 1st af take a while to come? (Have we had this convo before?? Lol can't remember but sounds familiar)

Coffee, it doesn't show up bold on an ipad anyway, hence I never bother smile

Onelife, I know where you are. AM is the place nearby yes? wink
Yes, it would be funny if we were neighbours ha ha!

Could so do with a holiday in Malaysia or over there. We normally go that way on our jollies, but since we've had ds, we've not been that far tbh. Now we've got to pay for a seat for him, we might venture back over that way before number 2 hopefully comes smile
Have a great time!!

VJONES1985 Mon 02-Sep-13 19:42:46

mama I was on microgynon/ovranette and AF came three weeks after my last breakthrough bleed (one week after I ovulated). You?

bloumer Thanks for the reassurance. I'm glad to hear it settles down eventually but it's hard to let go sometimes!

Bloumermaid Mon 02-Sep-13 19:43:26

purple! mama! Nooooo!

So sorry AF got you, I thought we were the three implantation amigos. Mama is there still the hint of a chance? I read that imp can last a few days for some...

My spotting lasted Sat and Sun and has totally gone today, so still got fx. Am 10dpo and don't really want to poas til Fri as I'd be so crushed by a bfn & not knowing if it's just too early.

keepswimming there's def still a good chance for you - wait with me til the end of the week and we can be POAS buddies!

mrsmummytobe Mon 02-Sep-13 19:44:36

Thanks coffee & mama! Ok I think I'm going to do one of the cheapies in the morning then!! Eek! Really not expecting a positive but I can't help but feel a bit excited!

keepswimming1 Mon 02-Sep-13 19:48:58

Thanks for the support guys, I've been off sulking sad

I am NOT going to poas early again, its to disappointing lol I really thought what with my symptoms I might just be. I'm not as hopeful now

Good luck mummytobe if you testing tomorrow

leezl Mon 02-Sep-13 19:50:40

I swore I wouldn't test early this month so please remind me of that pledge in about two/three weeks time, ladies!!!

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 19:55:15

Bloumer I've had spotting on and off today again! That's 3 days of it, no full flow as yet but it was quite often today just really think its af on her hateful way sad who knows....there might be a chance (in a million) that its implantation...but I think not sad was yours light or heavy spotting?? Colour? (Sorry I just need tmi to compare notes)

But I am totally holding out for you and mummytobe with your bfps!!!! Hope there's one in the morning that would just make my day smile

Keepswimming don't worry there's always a chance until af shows her ugly bake!

keepswimming1 Mon 02-Sep-13 19:56:49

bloumermaid, bless ya smile Its so getting getting BFN. I really thought I might of been

Leezl - Don't do it - its to painful getting that bfn

gillywillywoo Mon 02-Sep-13 20:03:48

Hello ladies...

I'm starting to think more so that I definitely had a chemical pregnancy last cycle.

Faint lines on HPTs 9, 10 and 11 DPO last month... Then the line got lighter and then disappeared. Then AF arrived...

I'm now cd7 of a new cycle and I'm still spotting and have brown blood every time I wipe blush

AF never lasts any longer than 4 days. 5 days was the maximum in the past.

So to still have blood when I wipe on cd7 is totally unheard of for me.

I guess it really was a chemical? sad

mrsmummytobe Mon 02-Sep-13 20:06:47

Ah thanks keepswimming. Well I'm not really expecting much & if it is a bfn then I can just retest on sat as I planned, if af hasn't got me by then.

mrsmummytobe Mon 02-Sep-13 20:09:59

Sorry to hear of your experience last month gilly. I don't know too much about it but it sounds like it could have been a chemical pregnancy to me sad

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 20:12:31

Gilly that sounds really stressful! Hope you get a proper solid bfp soon!!

gillywillywoo Mon 02-Sep-13 20:14:11

Yeah it's rubbish really but I'm trying to find the positives which is that hopefully it means I CAN and WILL get pregnant one day (hopefully soon) and hopefully also means there's no issue with DHs sperm...
I guess it just wasnt my month!

Shame though sad

Just hope my body gets back into the swing of things straight away and doesn't throw a wobbly. I'm already feeling a bit hmm about the fact I'm still spotting and having lots of browny blood every time I wipe on cd7. Never do I have this past cd4-5.

A few months ago I had a 49 day cycle (still trying to get back to normal after coming off the pill)... I just really hope my body doesn't decide to do something like that again!

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 20:19:09

Awh gilly! I'm now convinced that the pill is evil! Absolute horror stories everywhere with people ttc after coming off it and taking so long to get a regular cycle!! I'm gutted I didn't come off it ages ago now to prepare my body for ttc!

My task this month is to get and use opks and to take 50mg per day B6 to try and lengthen my luteal phase! Will see what happens! Good luck gilly hope af goes soon and you can start ttc for your bfp this month! smile

PurpleGeekyGirl Mon 02-Sep-13 20:19:25

Thanks blouer I'm gutted and also v pissed off with a 17 day cycle. I knew it would be a short one but honestly, to not even get a 10 day luteal phase is a bit of a kick in the teeth! Fx we get some bfps in sept and mine won't be long coming after.

ExactlyWhat Mon 02-Sep-13 20:25:03

Hi all,
Wow you guys talk, think I'm just about caught up!
Keeping everything crossed for some more BFP's, hope it's going to happen very soon for all you beginning of September POASers. Not due till 24th, my cycles are around 35 days, yawn!
Rekcon DP and I will start dtd every other day now, am thinking I might ov end of next week...

Had a big night out with friends on Sat , both drank a LOT thinking it would be the last one for a while, fingers crossed anyway! Only just feeling back to normal now....and back at work after school holidays tomorrow - good luck to all fellow teachers for the new school year!

panicmechanic Mon 02-Sep-13 20:28:31

Sorry to hear that Gilly and hope that it doesn't mess up your cycle too much. How about trying the SMEP? It is supposed to be v effective (but exhausting) smile

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 20:30:43

Just ordered amazon opks!! Just to get me motivated for the month ahead!!! smile

gillywillywoo Mon 02-Sep-13 20:32:23

We always do SMEP... Kinda... Not always exactly right but almost haha wink
We'll see what happens smile

Cupcake1985 Mon 02-Sep-13 20:36:31

We are tryin SMEP and dh seems to be managing fine (in our late 20s so i keep telling him most dh would love it) but its tiring already and foreplay has become a quick kiss. We are finding the funny side of this! Opk'ing going well but im wondering if these cheap amazon ones work properly....

What's b6?

blamber Mon 02-Sep-13 20:41:16

mama31, b6 can actually delay ovulation! Best to start taking it after ovulation, 50 a day, and then see if it works.

blamber Mon 02-Sep-13 20:42:24

choccy, b6 is a vitamin taken by some to lengthen the luteal phase if it's too short

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 20:42:42

Vitamin b6 (get in asda for a quid) for box of them...and apparently can help lenghten luteal phase if take 50mg per day...I usually take 10mg per day but gona start increasing to 50mg tomorrow...must stock up!!!

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 20:49:05

Oooh really! This is all so technical!! So don't take it until I've ovulated then take 50mg a day after ovulation???

wispaxmas Mon 02-Sep-13 20:57:00

I didn't know that about b6, but I'm pretty sure my LP is normal... Never tracked ovulation before this month, though, so my LP is short I know what to do next month.

H is excited at the prospect of the SMEP plan, it's hilarious.

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 21:01:15

I'm sure he is wispa!! Lol I'm not doing smep as my hubby works shifts and there's no way I could dtd on demand when he finishes late at night! I can hardly keep awake past 10.30 haha! Rock n roll I am!! But I'm hoping opks help as ill be sure to dtd a lot over ovulation. Good luck with smep, hope its not too exhausting!

blamber Mon 02-Sep-13 21:02:16

mama, that's what I would recommend. Especially since you've just come off the pill you;re not entirely sure yet your LP wont sort itself out. To prevent a delay in ov, better start taking it after. It's what I'm doing. I'm not taking 50 a day though, but 100 over three days, because it's my second cycle off the pill with an LP of 8 days. I'm hoping it will be longer anyway this cycle, but I just wanted to help it along a bit.

Wis, apparently inly if your LP is under 10 days it can cause problems in case the egg hasn't implanted yet at 10dpo.

blamber Mon 02-Sep-13 21:03:40

Oh yes and if you want to prevent taking 5 pills to get your 50 mg, go to Holland and Barretts, they sell a higher dose (50s and 100s) quite cheaply as well.

VJONES1985 Mon 02-Sep-13 21:05:09

Right,so take b6 after ovulation until AF arrives? Is it possible to buy the 50mg dose in the shops?

blamber Mon 02-Sep-13 21:12:00

yes, that's what I would do and see how your LP is after that. You can always increase it the cycle after. Holland and Barrett have them smile

VJONES1985 Mon 02-Sep-13 21:13:34

Thanks you, will do that this month and will probably spread the dose over a few days, like you.

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 21:17:56

Thanks blamber! Defo gona give that a go!

VJONES1985 Mon 02-Sep-13 21:19:50

The 50mg tablets on the Holland and Barratt website are now reduced to £3.55.

onelifeonechance Mon 02-Sep-13 21:36:10

Oooo writer and choccy we could start the Warwickshire branch of mad women! grin What's your secret location writer Give us some clues, no one will ever guess, promise!

jaykay987 Mon 02-Sep-13 21:37:27

Ooh...I love sticky toffee pudding!

Sore boobs today - second day running (I am not looking for symptoms I promise!)

Oh, I don't know my LP yet.

Writer, sorry I missed you were warks, yes, give us a clue x

Lol onelife! grin

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 21:54:23

Onelife great idea....you need to keep his strength up ;) lol

VJ thanks for the info will be buying those 50mg for sure! smile feeling positive as sept could still be my month! Hope we get some bfps real soon, this thread needs some great news!

onelifeonechance Mon 02-Sep-13 22:04:07

Indeed mama - it's our anniversary weekend coming up and we are away over what i believe will be my fertile time (i'm itching to crack open the opk sticks to confirm it but don't want to start using them too soon as only CD3 today!) Got this lovely dream that we will conceive our first baby on our first wedding anniversary....

lulubelle26 Mon 02-Sep-13 22:07:32

jaykay I too am trying and failing not to look for symptoms. If only there was instant confirmation!

onelife I am now craving sticky toffee pudding! I think I will follow your lead and busy myself with cooking and baking to distract myself. Ooh and Great British Bake Off is on tomorrow, that always makes me want to bake treats smile

onelifeonechance Mon 02-Sep-13 22:13:06

Yeay, love Great BBO!! smile Altogether now: Feed the world, make it a better place ....

onelifeonechance Mon 02-Sep-13 22:16:18

OMG i've just learnt something - i always thought the words to that song was genuinely "feed the world" and i've just googled it and it's actually "heal the world" - this has been nothing if not educational for me

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 22:18:53

Onelife how romantic that would be! I hope it happens for you! If I conceived at the end of this month I would be due to give birth around the time of my wedding anniversary!!! Oh wouldn't it be lovely if we could just order everything to happen perfectly lol

onelifeonechance Mon 02-Sep-13 22:28:22

I know, i've been going all swoony about it, if god or fate or lady luck or whoever it is that makes these decisions has an ounce of romance in them then they'd make our dreams come true grin

Bloumermaid Mon 02-Sep-13 22:28:31

While we're talking supplements, I did some research into this when I had no AF post-pill and heard of agnus castus and dong quai. Apparently they regulate the cycle but you shouldn't take them post-ovulation as they can affect the developing bean if you've conceived. Also someone recommended black cohosh and red clover.

And eye of newt, and toe of frog...lol

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 22:37:58

Thanks bloumer!!! Lol think ill stick to the b6 and opks for this month! But who knows by nxt month ill prob be like "where do you get those eyes of newts/toes of frogs?" Lol

Onelife I know....I would stick to the prayers if I was you ;)

funkymonk Mon 02-Sep-13 22:44:30

Wow, this is a busy bus! Too much to keep up with! Gilly really sorry to hear that you think you had a cp. I'm a previous regular on the buses but left in july and now have another name. I pop in now and again and just wanted to say re:b6... I've done loads of reading on this and am taking 50mg myself. From extensive research this is what I think is best:
Start off with 50mg initially and don't take as b6 alone. Take as b complex (with other b vitamins) as this aids the bodies absorption.
Take for entire cycle. This is required to help regulate hormones and to help ensure quality corpus luteum is produced. Some women take for entire cycle but increase dose after ovulation.
Taking for whole cycle can delay ovulation. In my case it caused me to ovulate just one day later than normal. I already ovulate late at day 17 but can cope with a little later if I think the b6 is helping me to pop out a nicer egg that might be more sustainable!!

funkymonk Mon 02-Sep-13 22:47:31

B6 is safe to continue into pregnancy and is infact can be used by women to help with morning sickness.
Tastes nicer than frogs legs!

funkymonk Mon 02-Sep-13 22:48:20

*And infact can be, not is infact.

funkymonk Mon 02-Sep-13 22:49:38

Oops! Toe of frog, not frogs legs!

mama31 Mon 02-Sep-13 22:55:22

Haha! Thanks funkymonk I will give it a try! Think ill stock up on b6 from tomorrow! Great to hear all the wonderful knowledge as I'm pretty clueless about the tecnical parts.....I'm ok at dtd tho ;) lol

VickyVix Mon 02-Sep-13 23:32:30

How romantic onelife, you never know it might just happen! I would so love a May baby, which would also tie up with our wedding anniversary.

Shame my DH doesn't think quite so romantically about these things - i almost spat my tea out the other week when he said he thought we should try not to have a baby in August in case it didn't do so well at school - as if the stalk is going to deliver it or something!!

What twaddle, Such simple minds

panicmechanic Tue 03-Sep-13 00:06:03

Ok I realise this is going to sound odd... And prob too much info but... i have been using boots opk and cb opk this month (i know but dont trust any kit now!) and started dtd early as per SMEP. Still had pink lines yesterday and now no longer. Should I still continue the SMEP? DH is working so would have to be late tonight/early tomorrow. Why do I always feel I haven't tried enough - goodness I sound needy smile

leezl Tue 03-Sep-13 00:18:39

LOL! Vicky my August-born little sister was the only member of our family to go to University, and is training to be a teacher. Definitely doesn't hold children back being the babies of their year!

mrsmummytobe Tue 03-Sep-13 05:37:10

shock shock shock shock shock shock shock
Omg so I woke up about 5 this morning unable to sleep & really needing the loo, so I weed into a cup (sorry tmi) & did a cheapie hpt. Well after a minute or two that came up BFP so I got out a superdrug one & that had a really clear BFP line!!!!!!!!!

jaykay987 Tue 03-Sep-13 06:26:11

Cd23! My mistake.

Mummy - how many dpo are you? Any symptoms ?

mrsmummytobe Tue 03-Sep-13 06:32:28

Thanks jaykay!!!! grin I am feeling ridiculously excited! Not sure how many dpo I am - possibly about 12 I think hmm I have been having symptoms but had previously put them down to other things - boobs have been aching for days now & I've had a heavy achy sort of feeling not really unlike period ache. Now feeling a bit sick but that could be excitement!!

lucyfluff Tue 03-Sep-13 06:45:04

Awwwww mummy HUGE congrats to you smile)) i knew my finger crossing would work. Lovely news to wake up to this morning xx

englishteacher78 Tue 03-Sep-13 06:54:18

Hopefully the first of many this week!!

Well, last night I had the beginnings of ewcm gringrin this morning, it's a bit more, but not too thick yet, but definitely there. I've had a feel and my cervix has risen dramatically higher than it was but I can still feel it. Eek, I think I may ovulate soon. I didn't get any of this on my first proper cycle last time gringringrin

onelifeonechance Tue 03-Sep-13 07:06:48

Hurray mrsmtobe grin Lovely, lovely news to wake up to, huge congrats! Remind me what you did on the dtd front this month??
