We just got married in July and I always thought we would have a honeymoon baby. Well I got a BFN on my first cycle so didn't happen! So onto cycle 2...

Would be great to have someone on here to chat to.

jaykay987 Fri 23-Aug-13 09:15:27

Hi Dino.

We got married earlier this year. We decided to ttc end of June. Though due to long cycles/hospital stay last month Im about to enter my first fertile period where we can dtd! (So not sure if that makes it cycle 1 or 2 for us). Either way, we decided to ttc two full months ago and it already feels forever!

Sorry about your bfn. Do you know when you ovulate? Are you doing any monitoring?

kasareem Fri 23-Aug-13 09:19:07

Yes me! I got married in August. Stopped taking cerazette in April and fell PG second cycle but sadly mmc just before the wedding (v sad but didn't let it ruin our day or put us off trying again asap). Just waiting for first af so 'practising' rather than 'trying' right this minute ;) How did you feel getting your bfn? We're trying to be very chilled out about ttc...what will be will be etc but it's hard not to get excited and scared esp after MC. Will this be your first PG?

captaincake Fri 23-Aug-13 09:44:53

Hi, I'm in the same boat too. We got married this month and cycle 2 started a few days ago. We started trying a few weeks before the wedding. I am using the CBFM but it didn't work last month as the cycle was over 42 days. It's not normally so I think it's because I was so busy and a bit stressed with all the last minute planning. We are also trying to relax and just carry on having fun as before. The monitor is more out of interest for me really as I've always had irregular cycles.

kasareem Fri 23-Aug-13 12:03:31

Ah Mrsdino yes it will be your first PG, hence calling yourself a 'newbie to ttc'. Durrr, looks like it's all fried my brains already!!

keepswimming1 Fri 23-Aug-13 12:25:47

Hey guys, Can I join in

We got married in May, came off the pill just after. I seem to be having regular periods so far. I have had 2 bfn now and trying to look on the bright side, if I'm not pg by October we will be going on our honeymoon holiday probably to the far east so it gives me something to look forward to if its not happened by then.

I don't like the 2 week wait one bit!!! lol

jaykay987 Fri 23-Aug-13 13:30:05

We went to Thailand for ours! I love Asia! (Wouldn't want to go if pregnant though).

Wow there's a group of us! How nice! grin

Where is everyone in their cycle?

I'm on cd 12 today. Approx 30-32 day cycles. So should have BFP by 10-13th Sept. Though I have a wedding on cd 27 so will probably test far too early beforehand to serif I should indulge or not grin

keepswimming1 Fri 23-Aug-13 13:38:05

Yea we went to Thailand a few years ago, I wouldn't go if I was pregnant though either. If I'm not then we cant decided between Bali or koh samui smile Gives me something positive to look forward to if I keep getting negatives

AF is due for me on the 6th Sept so if she arrives then its likely I will be getting that holiday (maybe then I will have a honeymoon baby)

Any doing anything exciting over the bank hol weekend?

B1985 Fri 23-Aug-13 14:03:06

Hi all, Can I Join?

We got married in Jan this year.. i was actually 10weeks pregnant during wedding and m/c. Got pregnant literally straight away after stopping the pill. Its been a hard time since and AF been all over the place.

We decided to get house sorted after wedding and as it was a raw time having lost our baby we opted not to go on honeymoond striaght after. We only went in June which was lovely mixture of places. Maldives and Belize smile Would love to go Thailand..

Feel that i gave myself enough time although still can be emotional about it. Started ttc last month, ...AF was 17 days late so on cycle 2 trying again..hoping for BFP around 12/13 Sept. I've become quite obsessed

keepswimming1 Fri 23-Aug-13 14:09:51

Hi B1985 - its easy to become obsessed. too easy!

I've just brought a big batch of ovulation test strips, my dh is out of the country until mid oct... what's the bests I still use them next month - 'just to see' lol

Sorry to hear about your mc - fingers crossed for your next cycle.

lucyfluff Fri 23-Aug-13 14:18:32

<Waves> me too!!! We got married Easter wkend this year smile really wanted to ttc straight away but I had a dodgy smear test which resulted in biospy and long wait for results before we could start sad

Anyway everything is all good now for baby making and AF due around the 5th sept so hoping we have luck. This will be bubba 4 for me but only second for hubbie x

jaykay987 Fri 23-Aug-13 14:21:17

Ooh b1985 - we'll be testing at the same time!
Sorry to hear about your mmc. So many people seem to have one. If I do get a BFP my anxiousness will go through the roof!

Well FX for us all. I'm feeling positive September will be our month! grin

B1985 Fri 23-Aug-13 14:21:23

Thanks keepswimming!

Its been hard, and has played a big role in my obsessive behaviour!

Good luck for 6th Sept!

What are you all up to on the bank hol weekend? Ive got an extra day of and go back to work Wednesday smile hoping to have fund relax and get on that baby making! lol

jaykay987 Fri 23-Aug-13 14:23:21

I should ov Tuesdays/Wednesday. So the long weekend is perfectly timed to dt this month! grin

B1985 Fri 23-Aug-13 14:25:38

FX for us all!

Woo testing buddy JayKay!

M/C are so common now! It was almost too good to be true get preg as soon as stopped the pill, wedding planned.... too easy for this life! (bit of a negative nancy now) trying to look up and be postive like i was before!

Glad the smear test came back all fiine lucy!

BFP baby dust for September everyone!!!

offtogetmesomebrains Fri 23-Aug-13 14:58:44

We're in the same boat….the H.M.S. Newlywed!!

We got married in early July. BFN on first cycle and on second go now. AF due on 2nd sept.

We'd have loved to have a honeymoon baby. But I was a bit slack in taking folic acid in the run-up to the wedding so I actually feel better in myself that I've been taking them since.

10 days to wait…

MrsB2013 Fri 23-Aug-13 15:19:56

Can I join in too?

Got married in June and stopped taking the pill in July, started trying straight away. Will be poas sometime this weekend! I didn't realise how many ladies mc until I joined this site

PinkHat1 Fri 23-Aug-13 15:22:21

Hi can I join? I got married early this year but only started ttc in July. So far have had 1 bfn, i'm due to test this time next week although may cave in and test on Monday or Tuesday! I didn't think I would, but I felt really disappointed when I got a bfn last month. Stupidly I though I would just get pregnant straight away, can't for the life of me think where I got that silly idea from...!

captaincake how are you finding the CBFM? I only started using it this month after all the recommendations from people on here as was finding it difficult to work out when I ovulated.

b1985 sorry to hear about your mmc, until coming on here I didn't realise just how common they were. Fingers crossed for your next cycle and for everyone else too! By the way, your honeymoon sounds amazing! We're yet to go on ours yet as we had a lot of stuff to do on our home which I wanted to get out of the way first. But the idea of Maldives and Belize just sounds like heaven especially where I'm sitting today! (Horrible horrible offices with mice traps ON and UNDER my desk!)

keepswimming is there a reason you wouldn't go to Thailand if you were pregnant?

jaykay987 Fri 23-Aug-13 15:54:12

HMS Newly wed. I love it! (Wonder if it can be as lucky as the really exciting August bus!)

I love Thailand, but won't go pregnant. I'm sure it'd be fine. But Id worry constantly about everything I was eating and drinking. I think it's so easy to get a stomach bug and if I MMC Id blame myself (even though it prob wouldn't be related).
Also, Im not confident in the health care over there and it's a long way from home to rush back for anything medical!

Also flight probably wouldn't be that comfy (I get travel sick easy - so not sure if that wold mix well with pregnancy!)

Wow - for a hypothetical scenario - I've worried about a lot of aspects! grin

B1985 Fri 23-Aug-13 15:57:51

LOL @ pinkhat.... my office has same! these odd mouse traps everywhere..im not sitting near them though!

M/S are so common, i didnt realise before or when i was preg! read up alot since though. Its quite frustrating u cant get an answer of WHY it happened im so OCD and perfectionist so i want to try get things right this time but we did nothing wrong ...hard thing to accept that "it just happens" but Drs say usually do because something is wrong with feotus so could be good thing!

Anyway good thoughts and positive thinking girls!

HoneyM was fab so glad we did it then was totally ready mind body and soul. grin Was hoping to conceive then to but didnt fall anywhere near my fertile days (i think) cycles i think are messed up more cos im a stress head now!

keepswimming1 Fri 23-Aug-13 15:59:04

Hiya pinkhat,
I would just worry constantly, last time I went I got the dreaded belly bug. I don't think you can quite guarantee what your eating over there and its not the cleanest of places. I just don't think I could risk it.

I also love the sound of the Maldives, my parents went and the pictures was lovely!!

Well I have just had a tx from dh, he was due home mid Oct but now its looking like the beginning of Sept, now I just need him to be stick around for next months o.... fingers crossed (clearly I'm not holding out much hope for this months) sad

B1985 Fri 23-Aug-13 15:59:19

lol I worry over hypothetical scenarios atleast 20 times a day! hehe @jaykay

jaykay987 Fri 23-Aug-13 16:07:51

That's good news Keepswimming. So using your opks might be insightful AND be put to good use!

keepswimming1 Fri 23-Aug-13 16:17:50

Jaykay - Yes exactly - I must of known I wasn't just wasting money smile

captaincake Fri 23-Aug-13 16:21:01

PinkHat1 Not too good so far but it was the first cycle. It was 51 days so wouldn't have worked. I got 2 highs before I ran out of sticks but no peak. It does say it doesn't work for cycles over 42 days (I think) so I'm not surprised. I used the cheap amazon sticks later. I'm hoping that I will have a shorter cycle this month.

Crystal049 Fri 23-Aug-13 18:54:22

Hiya guys

Got married last August and came off pill in May to give my body a break, got my period straight away and bang on time every month so all great. Haven't started TTC yet but will be towards the end of this year just waiting for some building work to finish at our house and need to be earning, so excited and can't wait xxx

offtogetmesomebrains Fri 23-Aug-13 19:35:39

Yep…I'm another hypothetical situation worrier! That's why I was worried about the folic acid situation having not been taking for the 3 months. DH thought I was being mental and stressing about nothing.

What are you lot doing re folic acid? Am I being mental worrying about it?! I've been taking it for 1.5 months now, plus improved diet etc.

wispaxmas Fri 23-Aug-13 20:09:56

Hello! Got married end of June and started vaguely 'trying' after. So, on cycle3, but not really kept track of anything other than AF, so we're being quite loosey goosey. I'm pretty lucky, though, have very regular 28/9 day and not been on the pill for years!

I'm getting a bit obsessed at the minute, though. I tested early and a bfn, but I'm not really due until Tuesday. Stupidly symptom spotting and thinking my fatigue and achy-ness is somehow a sign, but more likely just pms sad

wispaxmas Fri 23-Aug-13 20:10:49

I've been taking pregnancy vitamins w/ folic acid for the past few weeks.

jaykay987 Fri 23-Aug-13 20:28:01

I take pregnacare or my folic acid. I'm a bit worried though cause I read that those with bMi >35(which unfortunately I have) should take a much larger dose. But it seems you can only get that size on prescription.

B1985 Fri 23-Aug-13 20:38:34

Been taking pregnacare conception one for 3 months now. But only started trying last month!

B1985 Fri 23-Aug-13 20:39:56

I wouldn't worry brains it's just an extra thing u can do...plenty have no issues and get preg and healthy pregnacy a without ever taking!

1st time round I got preg without taking and only started taking once was pregnant.
X

keepswimming1 Fri 23-Aug-13 21:32:39

Hey offtogetsomebrain I wouldn't worry to much.
I have only just started taking them, on my 10th tablet of pregnancy care. Just trying to eat healthy(ish) and upping my exercise. Most people I know never new they were pregnant let alone take these tabs

Good luck all smile

offtogetmesomebrains Fri 23-Aug-13 22:06:29

Thanks…I'll stop thinking about it. Women have been having babies for thousands of years and they weren't taking any folic acid…but I'm on pregnacare nonetheless!

jaykay987 Fri 23-Aug-13 22:25:47

woop woop! Despite a low opk this morning, I just spotted some EWCM!

(wow - the strangest things excite me these days! grin )

Newlywed2013 Sat 24-Aug-13 03:54:37

Not sure if I qualify just yet, Got married 3rd aug, so only 3 weeks ago!! am patiently waiting for hospital referal to get my implanon out! it has gone missing and cannot be located on ultrasound!! but as soon as that bad boy is out we are going to TTC!!
Think im going to get frustrated as I have never had a regular period, ranging from 18 day cycle up to 44days!!
Also result of implant has been lack of sex drive and excruitiating pain during sex which is a bit of a problem!! hopefully when its out things will improve! smile

Good look to you all trying!!
xx

B1985 Sat 24-Aug-13 09:16:25

Best of luck newlywed x

wispaxmas Sat 24-Aug-13 09:28:56

Omg, newlywed, that sounds absolutely awful! I've never been happier to have not been on birth control! I wouldn't say you don't count yet, though. You ARE a newlywed and you're thinking baby, so welcome to the club grin

I know we're all newlyweds in here, but how old are we? Does anyone already have children, or are we all trying for #1?

I'm 29, h is 34, no kids for either of us yet, and I think he's starting worry that there's something wrong with his swimmers, he must have thought the minute we ditched the condoms I'd be upduffed!

keepswimming1 Sat 24-Aug-13 10:03:37

Im also 29 and trying for No 1 smile

I agree wispa - so happy now I am off the pill

lucyfluff Sat 24-Aug-13 10:50:37

Im 30 and ttc number 4, second with hubster. My first two are from a previous relationship so are a bit older, its nice having little helpers smile

I couldnt wait to stop my patch, dh will have the snip if we are lucky enough to concieve again so I never have to use it again smile

jaykay987 Sat 24-Aug-13 11:32:18

I'm 32 as is DH. ttc #1.

Scary times!
Exciting times!
I swing from one emotion to the other! (sometimes on an hourly basis!)

MrsB2013 Sat 24-Aug-13 12:19:29

I'm 32 and DH is 31 ttc #1 cycle #1

I agree with you jaykay it is exciting and scary!

After 12 years on the pill I do worry if ive left it too late, and no idea what my body is doing naturally! I have been taking folic acid and vit d. Need to start eating healthy again, fell off the wagon after the wedding lol

wispaxmas Sat 24-Aug-13 12:31:48

I don't think you've left it late at all at 32. Loads of people are having children far later than that, and even if you find issues you still have time to get help. My sister had so much trouble ttc, but she has a healthy son who's 20 months and is 20 weeks or so into her second pregnancy at 37. Ad my old line manager is 26 weeks with TRIPLETS at 40!!

As for falling off the diet wagon post wedding that is totally me as we'll. I still manage to lots of good stuff, but I'm just not resisting the tea cakes and hobnobs blush

Writerwannabe83 Sat 24-Aug-13 12:34:54

Hello Newlyweds!!!

I'm a newlywed and we starting TTC three months after the wedding and we got pregnant on our first month smile Our baby is due 8 days after what will be our 1st Wedding Anniversary smile So excited!!!

Best of luck to you all!!!!!! grin x x

B1985 Sat 24-Aug-13 15:29:24

I'm 28, hubby is 33, TTC no.1

Wooo that's lovely wannabe83

Congrats!

Kt1991 Sat 24-Aug-13 15:48:03

Hey everyone, we got married end of June this year, and came off the pill mid July, trying for baby no. 2. Have PCOS so not sure If i’m going to be able to tell when or if I conceive, did have AF last Sunday, which ended Wednesday so going to see what happens by end of Sept, fingers crossed for a BFP! Congrats WriterWannabe83! Thats really nice your due around then smile

BroodyTroody Sun 25-Aug-13 18:17:48

Hi all, I'd love to board HMS Newlywed please!

We got married end of march and have been trying since Feb, and atm we're not using OPKs etc, JSing is much more chilled out!

I'm 23 & DH is 26, ttc #1.

Now in the 2ww, AF due on 8th Sept so fx for then!

Lovely to meet you all thanks

wispaxmas Sun 25-Aug-13 22:04:56

Hi broody, welcome aboard grin

I'm nearing the end of my third 2ww, but not expecting anything, as we've been very lax. Am planning to perhaps use opks next month just to check when I'm actually ovulating. I'm already gutted just thinking about AF arriving in a couple days. I'm setting babies everywhere these days, it seems!

B1985 Sun 25-Aug-13 22:13:54

Tell me about it wispa babies everywhere!

We've just been literally trying every day but if 12/13 Sept no BFP I might invest in an ov kit!!

Randomly today though I'm feeling sooo sick, & got itchy feet!?! Looking at everything too deeply now hoping wishing!

skd83 Sun 25-Aug-13 22:22:30

Hi everyone. I'd like to join please. I got married in June, and we have just got back from our delayed honeymoon. I am finishing off my contraceptive pill packet next week, and then I we will be TTC. I'm hoping it doesn't take too long till I have my first ovulation but only time will tell. Also, I'm trying not to get too obsessed so I only plan to track my periods and nothing else.

My DH and I are both 29. TTC #1

BroodyTroody Mon 26-Aug-13 07:49:07

Oh my goodness Wispa & B, babies everywhere I turn! The hardest ones are friends ones!

B1985 Mon 26-Aug-13 08:46:33

Yep so true broody! friends and family!

My younger sister has a 10month old bubba... heart just melts when I'm around her.

DH said the other day when he's around her and especially when she's at our house and we are playing with her and he just wonders what ours will be like. She looks alot like my sis which means she's v similarly to me to and he enjoys being around her but its hard to!! 😔😢

B1985 Mon 26-Aug-13 08:47:59

Ignore numbers added sad faces from phone confused lol

wispaxmas Mon 26-Aug-13 10:51:44

I think I would find it hard if I had a younger sibling with a baby, but as it is I'm the youngest, so my sibs already having kids just seems natural. My SIL is about 7 months along with a little girl, and my sister is currently 4 months with a second boy, and I have 3 nephews already, and H's sister has 2 little girls.

I really want our children to have cousins close to them in age, as cousins were such a big part of my life growing up!

Most of my friends aren't having babies yet, except my MOH, who unexpectedly fell pregnant back in march!

B1985 Mon 26-Aug-13 12:13:21

I got married after her so although its odd kind of odd was expected.

ALL my friends are having babies now! A few are preg with there 2nd's!!! One mate had her baby boy same week mine was meant to be due so found that v v hard.

Same here we have a massive family and all the my
Cousins are having kids now and we are literally Lidl a big group of best mates!!! So I'd really want to have baby to be around same age or not too much difference esp with sisters baby girl!

Roll on September testing!! wink

Newlywed2013 Mon 26-Aug-13 15:30:42

I cant wait to be able to ttc, i just need to wait for hospital appointment to find out whats going on,

me and OH are both 23, but both had losses in our family with looisng parents before they hit 30 so family is important, if we have time after kids have grown and fled the nest we will be happy smile
family means everything to us
xxx

MrsDinoRawr Tue 27-Aug-13 09:11:43

Wow! What a lot of posts since I started the thread. Hello everyone.

Here's my intro:
I am 29 and my husband just turned 31. We bought our first house this year. We got married a month ago. Now we are hoping for children. We know how to do all the expensive things in one go!!

According to the app on my phone I am in the fertile period of my cycle. I am going to try using some cheap ovulation tests this month aswell. Ahhh hope everyone gets bfp this month!

The only birth control I have ever used is condoms. I figured it would be easy to get pregnant but the more you read the forums etc you realise it doesn't necessarily just happen straight away.

B1985 Tue 27-Aug-13 09:26:16

Nice thread to start! So many newly weds having same fears, anxiety, excitement, questions!!

Great outlet!! Thanks mrsdino

Aww hoping the best newly sorry to hear about losses.

I've really been trying to be laxed & just track periods and try as much as posdible but really thinking getting ov tests if I don't get a BFP September 12/13!! Cheap ones from Amazon sounding good.

wispaxmas Tue 27-Aug-13 10:47:50

Dino, it was a great thread to start, as I'm sure a lot of couples start ttc shortly after getting married. We hadn't planned on doing it straight away, but changed our minds the week before our wedding! We're also going to be buying a new house before we have a kid, so all the expensive things within the year!

Writerwannabe83 Tue 27-Aug-13 11:31:47

Newlywed - how awful!!

I had the same thing with my Mirena and it was so infuriating because it delayed our TTC. I went to my GP to have it removed and she couldn't find my strings to pull it out with. She referred me on to a Sexual Health GP who specialised in Coil removals and she couldn't find it either. She was digging around me with all her instruments for about 5 minutes before she admitted defeat. I then had to get referred to a Specialist Clinic in Leicestershire and was told the waiting list was 6 weeks! GRR! I was really panicking as I'd heard of coils perforating the womb and floating into the intestines. Eek. When I eventually got to the Specialist Clinic they performed an ultrasound and thankfully found my coil hitched up right near my Fallopian tube and were able to remove it but it was so so painful! When they got it out they saw my strings had wrapped themselves around the actual device hence why the GP's hadn't been able to fine them.

Once it was out though we got pregnant on our first month of trying which made the whole thing more bearable!!

I hope they find your implant and you can get TTC straight away!!

MrsB2013 Tue 27-Aug-13 22:17:15

Writer Did you have a proper af before ttc?

Writerwannabe83 Tue 27-Aug-13 22:33:43

I did indeedy and it was messy and horrible.

I had my Mirena out at the end of the May but my ovulation occurs earlier in the month so we had missed my fertile period. So it was just a case of waiting for my next period to arrive which did during the last week of June. It was a slightly longer cycle than normal but I think that was due to the removal of my Mirena.

Once my period had finished we started TTC and conceived on CD16.

B1985 Wed 28-Aug-13 15:03:24

13th September seems sooo far away!!! (tesing day) blush angry]

im getting these off nautious feelings past 2 days... not aactually throwing up to. Also my feet are itchying me like CRAZY!! hmm i know i am just looking at eveyr little thing and thinking hmmm symptom!?

Im dong the insanity CD work outs to... hoping its not too OTT for my body...i dont that often exercise and to start as im trying, is that good or bad?

keepswimming1 Wed 28-Aug-13 15:43:56

OMG B1985 - Insanity...really? They are hard lol fair shout to you, I used to do them but have stopped, still trying to build myself up to it to start again smile

B1985 Wed 28-Aug-13 16:00:44

Ive only started to do it from last week..with hubby so suppose that helps. Its KILLA tho!

Working on logic if get into routine now its only helping my body get stronger for when (fingers x) i do get pregnant. Cant be bad for me!

it is so hard though!! lol hope this lasts!

PinkHat1 Wed 28-Aug-13 17:23:33

I am 27, husband is 33 and it will be our first child. We had always talked about trying for a baby a few years after we get married but it wasn't until the run up to our wedding (February) that we changed our minds. We bought our first home together 18 months ago and are both in secure jobs so decided to make a go of it.

We'll be the first couple in our group of friends with children. One close friend of mine just had a baby and another friend fell pregnant not long after our wedding!

I only started using OPK in August but going to be making FULL use of them this month. I'm in my third cycle and still not got a firm understanding of my cycle yet so it has been an interesting few months getting to know it after being on the pill for just over 10 years! Fingers crossed that September is all our lucky months!

keepswimming1 Wed 28-Aug-13 19:00:37

B1985 - Yea I used to did them with hubby to but as he works away I get to slope off smile
But since coming off the pill I have gained a bit of weight so I might have to up my exercise to lose it.
You think the same as me ref - getting fit to prepare my body for being pg - also hopefully will help me get back into shape after. plus it does kinda take your mind off not being pregnant (only a little)

B1985 Wed 28-Aug-13 19:09:12

Keepswimming1 - defo kind of helps take mind off ...the random new hobbies and things I'm picking up now to just get mind off not being pregnant! Lol!!

keepswimming1 Wed 28-Aug-13 19:28:50

Same, I joined a calorie counting website yesterday, just to help me shift these extra lbs and already I'm not thinking about pregnancy as much - how long it will last though I just don't know. smile

wispaxmas Wed 28-Aug-13 19:32:05

Hah, last year I was trying to distract myself from wedding planning, and this year it's trying to distract myself from ttc. Last year we got a puppy, and this year my distraction is right move!

MrsDinoRawr Thu 29-Aug-13 07:22:36

I have heard of insanity. I dis the 30 day shred and want to start doing it again. Can you do exercise dvds when you are pregnant?

Rightmove sounds like a great distraction. I spent hours on there when we were looking for our house.

Newlywed so sorry to hear about your losses. My mum died when I was 13. Taught me to try to make the most of what you have. I also really believe in fate. So I am trying not to stress about ttc as it's out my hands.

What cycle day is everyone on and what date will people be testing?

Me:
Cd:15
I am due on 14th Sept.

Need to baby dance but got home after midnight last night and didn't think husband would appreciate been woken up and he left as 6.45am!

B1985 Thu 29-Aug-13 08:30:15

Lol same hubby was exhausted after lectures for his accounting class so no baby dance!

I think if your body is use to exercise u can still do light exercise during pregnancy but that's why trying now so whilst I can still do some stuff...won't be able to do insanity during - its quite mental! Lol but feeling good sweating buckets!

Distractions are the way to go and fingers x for us all for BFP September!

CD19...I'm due 12/13 Sept! I think though I'll do a test if no AF on 12th but if negative will literally wait 2 weeks as last AF was 17 days late and even though used poundland tests its mentally and emotionally draining seeing negative and still not getting a AF!!

Have a good day everyone x

skd83 Thu 29-Aug-13 08:44:34

I've taken my last pill last night. So I'm hoping to get normal cycles again soon and get TTC without getting too obsessed. It's partly exciting but I'm also nervous in case there's any problems.

B1985 Thu 29-Aug-13 09:34:06

morning skd83 itss so easyto get obsessed, but try simple tricks to distract self... lol reading, exercise... new hobbies - crafts? lol sounds silly but sooooooooo works!!

Being nervous is the worst so hard not to be but it really does mess with body i think my period was so late last cycle purley because i was a nervous and anxious wreck!

Have you started taking your folic acid? Thats good to start early.

skd83 Thu 29-Aug-13 12:51:42

B1985 I am just about to finish my 3rd month of folic acid, so all prepared on that front. Sounds like good advice about distractions. We are in the process of buying our first house so packing, moving, and unpacking will keep me busy for the next month or so. I want to enter more races because I like running but I get tempted by the sofa if I don't have races to look forward to. However, I don't want to enter a half marathon for next year in case I am pregnant. I should probably just enter and see, rather than revolve my life around the 'if'!

B1985 Thu 29-Aug-13 18:35:48

Same here been on it 3 months and abit now! Hoping it makes the difference!

Wow you got loads to district self with' congrats on new home!

Lol tell me about it I'm taking night of insanity workout and its all the sofas fault!

wispaxmas Thu 29-Aug-13 22:07:42

Skd, I wish I could say the same thing re moving house, I'm so sick of the flat we have. I can't wait to have an enclosed back garden for the dog! And not worry about the prospect of having to carry things up and down stairs to get in or out of the flat (could you imagine a pram in a first floor flat?)

Looking at right move just let's me dream for now. We won't actually get serious about it until we fall pregnant, and even then were up in the air because my husbands work might take us to France for 6 months or so!

Newlywed2013 Thu 29-Aug-13 22:33:16

Writerwannabe83 its nice to know I am not the only one who has had issues! I know its been a bank holiday but i just want my referal to come through from the hospital so i know what the hell is going on!! sad
good luck for all you other newlyweds x

offtogetmesomebrains Sat 31-Aug-13 18:51:19

Arghhh…AF came this am. Grrr. 2 days early as well.

Och well…next month it is!!!

keepswimming1 Sun 01-Sep-13 09:59:05

So first week of my diet and I lost 3lbs well chuffed. certainly helps to distract me.

Sorry to hear that af has arrived offtogetsomebrains always a disappointment

B1985 Sun 01-Sep-13 10:16:56

Urghhh so annoying! Sorry brains

Desperately waiting till the 12th so I can test! Hoping no AF! That's the attitude ..next month!!!

Great news swimming that helps mood to and your all happy vibes so I'm sure it makes all the difference!

wispaxmas Sun 01-Sep-13 11:48:07

Brains, that's annoying, isn't it? But early is better than late if AF is going to visit. At least it means you can get a head start on e next cycle! I thought AF was coming early last week, but I got kept waiting for a couple days of annoying spotting and nothing else before she actually hit. She really know how to annoy us when we're ttc.

wispaxmas Sun 01-Sep-13 11:52:08

Keep swimming, that's amazing!! I know I should get back on the healthy eating/diet bandwagon, but I just can't bring myself to do it. I'm not overly unhealthy, but I do love sweets. And take aways. And it's only been a couple months since the wedding and I don't want to go back to calorie counting like I did for the 6 months pre wedding.

Just wondering, though, just how bad is it to be overweight when ttc? I'm smack in the middle of the 'overweight' category on the BMI chart, and would have to lose about 20lbs to be healthy, but even pre wedding all the dieting and exercise didn't help and I plateaued at this weight. Breaking through the plateau didn't happen before the wedding and Im not sure t will happen now, but if losing the weight will make a huge difference for ttc I might give it a shot....

B1985 Sun 01-Sep-13 18:04:30

Wispa they say try be close to your BMI as can. But I know plenty of oversight to obese people all have gotten pregnant & carried full term healthy pregnancies and babies! Don't stress over it!!

If you slap bang in middle I wouldn't worry. Anything toward you being more healthy vessel to carry baby would be good - doesn't mean you won't be able to get preg either! I truley believe stress is key so chilled and relaxed happy women is best way to be! Lols

wispaxmas Sun 01-Sep-13 20:35:14

If I do get pg ill defo be eating as healthy as poss, I don't want to gain more weight than is necessary! Won't be doing any diets, but will be keeping a close eye on things to not overdo it.

B1985 Mon 02-Sep-13 13:55:23

Having a low day sad

Found out this women who I hate lol, but shes pregnant and shes 3 months...she smoked throughout her last pregnancy and is eating off the government.... and is healthy fine to work just lazy her kid goes to school no so she could work in day now - kids 5!!!! URGHHH i know its wrong but makes me angry! how I lost and someone who is undeserving I THINK because how can you smoke when pregnant...shes has about 5 misscarriages to so makes no sense why you wouldnt be careful!

I need to focus on me and hubby and having a baby of our own but this news had just got me so upset and angry at same time!

MrsMac1397 Mon 02-Sep-13 14:25:46

Hi,

This is my first post. I'm about to become a newly-wed (as in I get married on saturday) and have had my first BFN. I always thought it would be unlikely to get lucky the first month of trying but always secretly hoped! Luckily the excitement of the wedding has stopped me from being too disappointed about it.

Trying really hard not be become obsessed with it but it's really difficult. I was always taking the least wee thing to be a sign for and against being pregnant last month. So hoping the wedding and honeymoon will stop me from thinking about it too much this month.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi!

wispaxmas Mon 02-Sep-13 17:53:24

Sorry B, that's frustrating. I do feel like it's so unfair sometimes when people who quite obviously are taking advantage of the system seems to have everything fall into their laps and responsible people seems to struggle for anything. Ahh well, not worth thinking about.

And welcome Mac! Exciting about the wedding, I can't believe you're posting on here and not going mad with wedding prep shock The week before my wedding was a blur of family from out of town and preparation.

Better luck next month, though, maybe you'll get lucky and have a honeymoon baby grin

B1985 Mon 02-Sep-13 19:18:54

Thanks wispa I know not worth thinking about just having a low day..needed a cry and was last straw when heard the news!

Ah mac fingers x for honeymoon bubba for u! Enjoy your wedding!! And honeymoon!!

B x

deuscat Thu 05-Sep-13 21:17:10

We got married in June. I came off the pill very recently to start TTC for #1. Today would be the day I started my next pill packet!

Hoping I can get normal cycles quickly. smile

How is everyone else getting on?

MrsB2013 Thu 05-Sep-13 22:44:53

Hi MrsMac Congratulations and good luck for your Wedding!!

Are you going anywhere nice for your honeymoon? Maybe you'll have a honeymoon baby!

Well i'm on cycle 2 now, had my first proper af since coming off the pill, really hoping I get a bfp this month.

Anyone due a bfp this weekend at all??

DulcetMoans Thu 05-Sep-13 22:58:57

Hello! Bit of a cheat because, whilst I am newly wed (Aug 17th!) I am actually well into TTC. Still on the wedding come down though so can I join??

wispaxmas Fri 06-Sep-13 10:00:36

Welcome, new newly weds smile

Just a thought, why don't we talk about weddings for a change? I'm still on a wedding high after 2 1/2 months, and sadly everyone else thinks it's now just a distant memory (except my mum, who still talks about it every time I talk to her).

Tell me about your weddings - when, where, the best bits. If you're feeling adventurous, why not share a photo, too, and throw anonymity out the window?

I'll start: we got married 22 June at Hever Castle, Kent in a civil ceremony, and the best bits were: bagging a husband (woohoo!), having our dog in the photos, getting to spend 30 minutes of relaxing alone time wandering through the gardens, and lots and lots of desserts in the evening grin and a photo to show the dog: https://hitchedukcs.s3.amazonaws.com/CommunityServer.Discussions.Components.Files/27/6663.IMG_0777.JPG?AWSAccessKeyId=1GGD02E4Z1ZJD3AK4F82&Expires=1378468760&Signature=kdED2F%2fgwcIfzOe5B2l15O%2fTry0%3d (now lets see if that link actually works, ahaha)

DulcetMoans Fri 06-Sep-13 12:11:23

Thats lovely wispa! Loving your dress. Was that your thank you photo for cards?

My fave bits were my shoes, the food, photobooth and the DJ who was a risk for us a little but awesome! I just loved it which was a surprise as I was pretty worried. I don't have any pictures yet, why do they take so long?!

captaincake Fri 06-Sep-13 18:01:49

pinkhat1 how are you getting on with the monitor? It's been a lot more successful for me this month than last month. I had high for 7 days then peak yesterday. I double checked with an internet cheapey opk and that had a line definitely darker than the control line. It must have been the busyness of the wedding that caused the long cycle last month.

Lovely picture wispa. Really nice that your dog joined in with the celebrations :-) We got married abroad on a beach and it was beautiful with lots of sunshine for the photos. The best bits were the holiday, the beach and at the reception (in England) the DJ and the cake.

deuscat Fri 06-Sep-13 22:00:32

wispa I also got married on 22nd June! It was in Derbyshire, in a lovely old Victorian House. My fave bits were my outfit, seeing all my friends and family enjoying themselves, and the fun that DH and I had dancing - he never usually dances!

We have got our photos back and chosen which we want for our album. We won't get it until January though. We also have a wedding video to come in January, too. Can't wait!

This weekend we are going to finally write our thank you cards. A bit late .. blush

wispaxmas Mon 09-Sep-13 14:25:14

I loved choosing photos for the album! But why won't you get it until January? Does it usually take 6 months? We got our video after 2 months, and our photos after 3-4 weeks-ish.

deuscat Mon 09-Sep-13 14:38:52

Wispa I've got no idea why ours is taking so long then hmm I think it's cos they're only a two person team and have lots of other weddings going on as well? Still it will be something to look forward to in January when things are generally bleak!

How's everyone getting on? I finished my final 'withdrawal bleed' from the pill last week. Now dtd and hoping!

We are also in the process of buying our first house so that is keeping me busy. But I'm still always thinking about babies! wink

WeightyKaty Tue 10-Sep-13 14:44:19

Deuscat we got married on 22 June too in London and we haven't done our thank you cards yet either wink

MrsS17 Tue 10-Sep-13 14:53:12

Hello, can I join in too?

We were married last November but have only been trying since our honeymoon in August this year (loooooong time to wait for a honeymoon I can tell you!)

My cycles since coming off the pill have not really changed so I dont know if I should be worried about this or not, most women seem to have really long cycles when they come off - I know everyone is different but I feel like the only woman who has come off the pill and felt no side effects. I have bought some ovulations testing strips for this month to see if I am actually ovulating or not.

deuscat Tue 10-Sep-13 14:54:52

WeightyKaty I'm glad it's not just us then! We were hoping to start the thank you cards last weekend but we just didn't find the time. It's on the agenda for this week!

So having just come off the pill a couple of weeks ago I don't know what to do about waiting for AF or BFP. I think I used to be pretty regular but can't remember! Would you poas after 6 weeks just in case?!

WeightyKaty Tue 10-Sep-13 15:12:39

Yes I'd POAS if AF hasnt turned up after 6 weeks to be sure.

Is everyone taking Folic acid and staying off the booze? I keep on forgetting both!

MrsS17 Tue 10-Sep-13 15:24:33

I have stopped drinking completely this week and I have been taking folic acid for about 2 months now

wispaxmas Tue 10-Sep-13 16:24:38

I'm taking folic acid along with calcium and vit d.. called folic plus I believe.

I haven't stopped drinking, but I don't drink much anyways. This past weekend was a bit of a change, actually, as I went to 2 weddings and got horribly drunk at one of them. I'm not yet on the 2ww, but I do definitely limit alcohol to the absolute minimum in the 2nd w of the 2ww, as apparently alcohol consumption can effect implantation according to embryo.asu.edu/pages/developmental-timeline-alcohol-induced-birth-defects

deuscat Tue 10-Sep-13 18:53:37

I've been taking folic acid for 3 months and have stopped drinking. But then I'm not a big drinker anyway. Not sure how long I will be able to remain virtuous!

Hello, this is my first time posting, although I've been having a look on here for a while. We got married in April and DH finally decided he was ready to TTC in July when I came off the pill.
My first cycle was 25 days, however I'm now on day 39, had a BFN today and not sure what to do next.
Should I go to the Drs or is it still too early do you think?
Just want to be one of the lucky ones who get their BFPs straight away!

wispaxmas Tue 10-Sep-13 22:05:09

Hi munday, I would expect all a doctor would say would be along e lines of letting your cycle settle down for a few more months before worrying about infertility. Apparently it can take up to 6 months for things to get back to a natural rhythm.

In the meantime, why not track ov and temps to be aware of what's going on?

Well I'm waiting for the thermometer to turn up and I guess I'll just have to be patient and wait this long cycle out to try to chart ovulation. i'm not very good at waiting for things!!
Thought we'd cover all bases on DTD as we were on honeymoon and enjoying this TTC lark!
How's everyone else on here doing? Any successes so far?

wispaxmas Tue 10-Sep-13 22:49:29

I think we have 1 bfp on here, but there should be a few testing soon. I'm smack in the middle of my cycle and waiting for ov, so got a while yet before I know if we've done enough this cycle.

Well smack in the middle is the fun part then?! I think DH is just happy to DTD as much as possible. FX this will be your month

wispaxmas Wed 11-Sep-13 09:45:18

Indeed, haha. H had to go abroad for a meeting yesterday, and I wouldn't let him stay overnight, he had to get the eurostar home last night as he had 'other obligations.' grin

vicki2122 Wed 11-Sep-13 23:16:03

I got married last month but me and the husband have been trying 2 years now i just hope something happens soon

jaykay987 Thu 12-Sep-13 05:50:51

I'm still in 2ww! Dpo 11 today. BFN's so far. A little spotting two days ago. Horrendous headache kicked in yesterday....still there. Looking at last months chart this happened before AF then too. Just waiting now for it to arrive, so we can move onto the next cycle!

My temp raised again today so think Ill have to wait a couple more days before AF arrives.

How's everyone doing? Anone due to POAS soon?

EverythingInMjiniature Thu 12-Sep-13 06:41:22

Hey everyone. Can't believe there are so many of us in the same boat. We got married in July, I'm 26, dh 35. Came off pill in aug but af came on tue (after about 4 bfn!) I didn't feel like I'd ovulated though, and have been on the pill for years!

Think we will be chilled about it until cycles start being regular!

deuscat Thu 12-Sep-13 11:16:35

Vicki sorry to hear you've been TTC for so long. thanks Have you been through any fertility testing?

Everythinginminiature I also came off pill in aug, but just the last week. So I'm hoping I can work out my cycles soon, whilst secretly hoping I get BFP straight away wink

If I guess a 28 day cycle (and I think I used to be pretty regular) then AF or BFP will be due 29th September. I keep telling myself I won't poas till it gets to mid-oct in case I'm not even ovulating etc. but I keep thinking about wanting to test at the end of the month?! First month trying. What would you ladies do?

B1985 Thu 12-Sep-13 12:09:36

Hi all...how's everyone's doing? I lost the feed for this topic and just wasn't able to get back on it!

MrsS17 I had delayed honeymoon to but only 6 months so know how u felt!

Has everyone tested for Sept yet? I cheated and tests 5 days ago as been getting oddly spotty! Was negative but period was actually due today...got up 5am lol morning pee is best....and..BFP!!!!!!! Line was faint but has gotten darker as times passed! Made dr appoint for tomorrow... Wonder how far I am because my cycle was so messed up so we had literally been baby dancing every day! smile happy but hope all goes ok this time! Trying not to get anxious or over think now! Trying not to get too excited to as its obviously v v early stages still and anything could happen.

Good luck to you all and seriously don't give up because I had some really low low days esp as want over the m/c but its happened now so all is not lost if get negative tests - I've had my fair share!

xxxxxxxx

deuscat Thu 12-Sep-13 12:44:57

B1985 congratulations!! Such lovely news! smile

How long has you been trying?

Wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy.

jaykay987 Thu 12-Sep-13 13:15:27

Congrats b1985! Exciting news!

Can I ask - sorry if TMI - what your spotting was like and how long it lasted?

I'm due Sunday. I had spotting dpo 9 and today (dpo 11). On the first day it seemed to last less than an hour was dark brown and very little amount of liquid.
Today has been even darker brown (almost black) and is crumbly. (Gross sorry). It doesn't seem to be continuous, I just found a few "bits"earlier.

No idea if this is "normal" spotting, as Ive never had it before my AF normal starts heavy quite quickly usually overnight, or whether it is implantation possibly (though I think I am clutching at straws). I've had a variety of symptoms this past week - so Im too sure if Im wishing myself sick/pregnant, or whether this might be it!

B1985 Thu 12-Sep-13 13:24:54

Thanks duescat, well officially started trying 2 months ago and have been using pregnacare 3-4 months prior to trying. It doesn't sound like we have been trying long but...

I had a miscarriage December last year at 10 weeks (got married in jan to so was c hard) my cycle has been all over the place since. My period would always be late even when we weren't trying so obviously got excited and then it would come!

Keep looking at test, lines quite dark now. Have to call up tomorrow for appointment.

I know a few people on this feed also had were testing last week and this week...any more news?

FX everyone! Good Luck! I didn't use ov kit or temping even gave up charting because cycle all over place...I would
Recommend literally ever day baby making of its possible with work an life commitments! Lol I took tr Dr advise for 2-3 time a week and trebled it!

xxxx

B1985 Thu 12-Sep-13 13:31:50

I haven't had had spotting jaykay...AF was due today but literally I woke up to test as I know sounds silly but I don't really get spots but the bad been popping up all over last 2 weeks and I had v Sharp quick pains on my right side yday...

Last month I had similar spotting when period was due, and then when took out tampax it was v v dark old blood and I thought the same implantation bleeding but tests were negative and did 5-6 test over 4 days! My period came 17 days later...hope that doesn't upset u cos I know I was clutching to straws to...thinking ooo I feel sicky, am I extra tired so it is possible to trick yourself into thinking u are seeing symptoms.

How many times a week had you been doing the deed? Do you think you and hubby managed to do it near ov time? Your old bleeding sounds alot more like impl bleeding then mine did last month..FX for this Sunday testing!

B1985 Thu 12-Sep-13 13:32:39

wispaxmas Thu 12-Sep-13 13:41:55

Congrats, 1985!!! I really hope it sticks well and good grin

I'm only just into the 2ww from today. Dangerously already checked my due date if this is the month - 5 June, 3 days before my 30th birthday! We DTD on CD8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 16, though I think I was at my peak yesterday on CD15 sad

jaykay987 Thu 12-Sep-13 15:53:20

Why the sad face wispa? If you did I on cd15, you've dtd three times in your five day fertile window. I could only aspire to so much dtd!

Thanks b1985. Sorry I thought you'd said spotting, not spotty! smile

Yes I use opks and temp. We definitely dtd within the fertile window. My temps are still high. S I'm not out yet. Tough think its just a matter of time. Hoping Im not late, as Im already on cd32. So if AF is coming, Id rather it came as soon as possible so we can get onto the next cycle! Having long cycles is such an arse. I seem to have to wait forever between AF coming and fertile times!

wispaxmas Thu 12-Sep-13 16:04:12

ahh, I know we've done really well this month, far better than in the previous 3, so I'm feeling optimistic, but last night H wasn't 'up' to the task and I got fairly bummed out about it and quite emotional and what-did-i-do-wrong-y, when rationally I know it's just because he's tired, the poor guy!

B1985 Thu 12-Sep-13 17:04:38

Oh wispa I know exactly what u are talking about! I was always like come on let's go baby dance time lol and hubby a attest twice was too tired or feeling unwell lol I was fuming and sooo emotional! But yeah they human and just tired lol!

Long cycles SUCK jaykay..my one last month was 50 days!
I'm going to ask for early scans I think! Just want it to go ok this time!!

Good luck ladies!!

PinkHat1 Thu 12-Sep-13 17:40:04

Congrats B1985! Fantastic news super pleased for you!

I know what you mean Wispa, I hate when my husband travels as he is usually exhausted by the time he returns home and usually means no baby dancing. Hate missed opportunities especially around my ovulating days!

AF is due mid next week so if no signs will test on Friday.

B1985 Fri 13-Sep-13 22:25:10

Thanks Pinkhat! Good luck...here's hoping for a BFP! X

Dr reckons I'm 5 weeks and did the referral today. Earliest i can have a scan is the 11week one where they check for downs etc...I thought I could have one earlier due to previous m/c but she said its actually common 1st pregnancies to end in m/c sad and then next time (and ones after that) are normal and healthy (hope so)! I know so many women's 1st pregnancies to be fine tho so its just one of those things I suppose....

My BP weight etc was checked and all fine but she did say urine showed up like was bit dehydrated so gotta up the water odd as I drink alot but I did keep waking up thirsty all night so maybe that's why.

What's everyone up to this weekend? We're at mother in laws...gonna be so hard not to say anything! Saw mum today today for lunch and my sis! Literally biting my lip! X wink hmm

MrsDinoRawr Sat 14-Sep-13 21:51:05

Congratulations B1985. When do you think you will tell your family? Mine all keep hinting/asking if I am pregnant - very annoying as I am not. Got my AF a day early sad
A couple of days left then we can get on with cycle 3. However my husband is on a 3 day course smack bang when I think I will ovulate. My try clearblue ovulation tests soon - but seem so expensive. Sort of want to just try a couple as I imagine obsessing over ttc doesn't help. But I really want to be pregnant. If I am not pregnant by Christmas I am getting a cat!
Who is on 2ww?

Maybe we should copy and past a section at the bottom each time we post to make it easier to keep track. Add your username and info such as CD/dpo, cycle number, 2ww etc. If anyone wants to do this copy and past my info then add your own.

MrsDinoRaw - Cycle 3. CD4

MrsDinoRawr Sat 14-Sep-13 21:53:21

Just noticed that you can make text bold by putting stars each side. So maybe the info we copy and past could be bold? Then update your info when you copy and paste the info.

wispaxmas Sat 14-Sep-13 22:02:07

I'm in the 2ww, 3dpo now and stupidly hopeful.

jaykay987 Sat 14-Sep-13 22:04:44

I'm dpo13. Lots of symptoms. No sign of AF. Lots of BFN tests!

I hate limbo!

deuscat Sat 14-Sep-13 23:13:25

I have no idea where I am apart from cd14. It's my first cycle since coming off the pill at the end of August so going on guesswork for now smile

DulcetMoans Sun 15-Sep-13 08:36:15

Probably better to list test dates rather than cd as cd will change everyday.

Ducletmoans, BFP due 22nd Sept

wispaxmas Sun 15-Sep-13 15:34:24

I hate limbo, too. The 2ww is bad enough, but when it stretches out longer its so much worse! You're still just 13dpo, how long is your LP usually? Mine is 13-14 days according to FF, and I know that if I were getting BFNs at 13dpo I would be sure AF was on her way, but that's just pessimism, you never know, you're not out until AF rears her ugly head.

wispaxmas Sun 15-Sep-13 15:35:16

Oh, forgot to add:

4dpo, bfp due 25th

jaykay987 Sun 15-Sep-13 15:37:34

I know. I am now expecting AF.

Only glimmer of hope is BBT is still high (normally drops around dpo 12) and I've no sign of AF (normally have headache and bad back ache by dpo 12/13.

I just want it to arrive now so I can draw a line move onto the next cycle!

wispaxmas Sun 15-Sep-13 20:25:24

Those are good reasons to hope, though!!

AhoyMcCoy Sun 15-Sep-13 20:48:03

Hi all! I'm another one joining! Came off the pill and got married in June, and got a BFP the day we returned from honeymoon. We were so pleased with our little honeymoon baby, but sadly I miscarried at 11 weeks. We're trying again now, this is my first cycle after the miscarriage. I don't know my cycle lengths or fertile dates, so DH and I are having sex every day to cover our bases! grin

Hopefully there will be lots of BFPs for everyone <sprinkles babydust all over thread>

Ah, just the thread for me! Been married since July, have moved country and will be ttc #1 as of this month. I'm 34 DH is 37 so it's time to get cracking. I haven't been on bc for the last few months but have been using condoms. Been tracking menstrual cycle for last couple of months, just told DH fertile days this month and he disagreed! Cue lots of googling different sources to come up with dates he agrees are correct! Best of luck to everyone else on this thread, exciting times.

This thread does keep getting lost!

Congratulations B1985 flowers

Im on cycle 2 CD20 I think? We only managed to dtd on CD 15 and 16 so I know im already out this month lol DH was ill for the first week or so, and he works long hours so is usually tired sad

If I don't get a bfp this month I think I'm going to try the Clear Blue opk, the one with the smiley flashing faces. I don't really know if or when I Ov as only came off the pill in July, had one normal af which was a 30 day cycle, so the app ive been using says I Ov on CD17?

MrsB, an opk can't confirm that you're ovulating, it can only confirm an LH surge, which might not result in releasing an egg. Only way to be sure is to track bbt!

I don't like opks, though, far too much guess work is involved in them. I suppose temping has issues as well, but I prefer it anyways.

Let us know how it goes either way, though!
