Still here, still ttc, still POAS, still symptom spotting, still counting days, still temping, still shagging and still absolutely nutty!!!

dildoos Tue 20-Aug-13 08:57:13

Hello grin
Fancy seeing you here? How's your birthday? Are you being spoilt? X

muzzy1 Tue 20-Aug-13 09:39:31

Happy birthday fedup! Hope you have a lovely day. What have you got planned?
welcome back dildoos...we thought you'd got trapped in legoland! We've missed you.
No-one is sounding very positive this month and I'm joining the gang. Although I did get my pos opk yesterday so maybe Sundays swimmers will still be around!

helloelo Tue 20-Aug-13 09:51:24

Happy birthday fedup!

Sorry but I'm also on the "not very positive for this month" bus... Just did my blood test (10DPO) after I POAS this am and got a BFN, again. Definitive results should be in before 4pm.

I have a fun chat with my mum yesterday. She was baffled we can find out so early now. She told me she had to wait a couple of weeks after her AF were due to go to the doctor and get tested. But then, she felt very much pg so she was not worried. They didn't have ovulation test, special lube or anything but they were 22 and were shagging all the time so that probably helped quite a lot Anyway, she's very much looking at becoming a "Mamie" (DGM) and I think going through all that with her by my side is incredibly nice after years of "I hate you for not letting me go to a nightclub at 16"

Have a lovely day everyone.

AbiBub Tue 20-Aug-13 10:06:15

Happy birthday fedup! Any plans? I hope you have a fabby birthday!

Although some if not most if you lovely ladies dont sound hopeful for this month im still very much keeping my fx for you all.

Is it ok to lurk to see how you're all doing? Will ya miss ya all other wise!! :0) x

KeepTheCarRunning Tue 20-Aug-13 10:16:59

hello and happy birthday fedup smile hope you have a lovely day!
the cramping I thought was in my head yesterday has got worse today, complete with clicking from my lower back sad I don't really know what to think tbh. I'm 8 dpo, af due Sunday, but it feels like it's coming any minute. sigh

juleslynn77 Tue 20-Aug-13 12:44:40

Happy Birthday Fedup am confused which thread Im supposed to be on so have butt in on this one lol. Still no AF which is due tomorrow but still having brown spotting confused Is this a good sign? Thanks for asking smile Went to docs this morning and she sent me away annoyingly sad DH cannot wait and is insisting I POAS everyday which is expensive and down heartening when you keep getting BFN!!!!!!! Last test was Sunday morning BFN sad and refusing to do another on until after missed AF tomorrow!

2beornot Tue 20-Aug-13 12:46:55

Found you!!

Just posted on other thread - oh well!!

Happy birthday fedup!

Funny that no one is feeling positive. I haven't even started shagging and I'm convinced it won't work this month (am already looking into how OPKs work for next month)! I guess we've been here before too often! I'm not even sure when we'll be dtd this month, we usually attempt cd 7, 9, 11, 13 & 15 and normally do 3 or 4 of those (and def 11&13). But so busy/tired atm that I don't think we'll do 9 or 11 so I may switch to 8, 10, 12, 14 & 16 (def 12&14). Sorry just figured out my plan!!

Hope you're al doing well this month and that we get a coupe of BFPs!

2beornot Tue 20-Aug-13 12:48:17

Fingers crossed jules x

Hey abi! How's it going? Have you has a scan yet?!

juleslynn77 Tue 20-Aug-13 13:07:46

Thanks 2be sounds like youve got your DTD plans sorted wink
Im off to buy a CB and hoping this one bloody works this time grin ie BFP please!!!!!!!!!!!!

threepiecesuite Tue 20-Aug-13 13:12:05

This seems like the thread for me - can I join? I'm def a nut job.

ttc#2 - into my 17th cycle of trying. Losing will to live rapidly!
Passed every imaginary deadline going. Just need people to keep me hopeful really on this horrid old journey. Have a 3.5yo DD.

helloelo Tue 20-Aug-13 13:25:12

Oh well, blood test back, BFN.
Just have to wait for AF on Friday now.
Will come back later once new's digested.
xx to all (and welcome threepiece)

juleslynn77 Tue 20-Aug-13 13:32:38

threepiece it must be SO hard to keep positive for so long. I will be having my fingers crossed for you. My doc said this morning I had to wait 18months before they Wd bother checking me out! confused I'm only on cycle 6 but feels like cycle 60!!!! Hoping so much that this is the month that I am contemplating standing on my head so gravity doesn't allow AF to appear! shock

threepiecesuite Tue 20-Aug-13 14:02:00

Thanks for the welcome. We are off away for the Bank Hol weekend which happens to tie in nicely with mid-month. Having regular 28 day periods so hopefully ovulating. If there's no BFP this month, I'm going to be brave and make a GP appointment. Kind of scared of finding out there's something wrong really, if that makes sense.

juleslynn77 Tue 20-Aug-13 14:19:24

It's better to know though as being in limbo sucks and remember takes 2. DH needs to go too! Make an appt now anyway as these things take time and they need to refer you etc etc NHS are not what we call quick.
My friend was about to start her fertility treatment after one year of trying and she got BFP day before she was to start. It can happen x

fedupofrainydays Tue 20-Aug-13 15:22:01

Thanks for the birthday wishes ladies, that's really lovely you are thinking of me! grin

Have some birthday cake please!

I started off my day taking apart a first response whilst drinking a glass of water mixed with turmeric and baking powder. No joke. I did a test because I feel sick and dizzy and boobs are killing me. The sick and dizziness I think is down to the uti not going, hence the odd 'cocktail' I read about online last night (and stuff I had on the cupboard!) I really don't want to take antibiotics as the ones the doctor gave me are still in the cupboard as they were linked to miscarriage. And I thought if they are linked to mc they might affect ttc. Plus they usually wipe me out and give me thrush. Nice.

Anyway, been out to the park with my family and tomorrow we are going to a steam engine place as ds is obsessed with trains! My birthdays have properly changed!! I am going out tonight with DH for some drinks and fancy dinner. Sod the uti and bfn am getting drunk!!

abi do stick about, we would miss you if you left
hello sorry about the blood test, gutted for you. Hope you are ok
three welcome to the crazy house!
dildoos when are you testing?!!!
jules I can imagine what your situ is doing to you. Hang in there. You should get an answer one way or another in the next day or so. Fx it's bfp!!
car maybe we have same thing going on? I had back pain last night but gone this morn. I don't know what to think either. I read apple cider vinegar works too so off to shops this pm to add that to my utterly gross birthday drink.

< waves to everyone, welcoming you to new shiny thread! >

Liquidambar Tue 20-Aug-13 16:57:47

found you!!grin
going to read the previous posts

GandTnow Tue 20-Aug-13 18:22:10

Hello, I just posted on the previous thread blush. Happy birthday Fedup hope you have an ace night out tonight.

ricecakesrule Tue 20-Aug-13 18:36:25

Hi everyone, found the new thread! I'm doing my opk's, negative at the mo but according to the instructions hmm I should be getting a positive opk in next couple of days... So a busy few days for me and dh! grin

Can't scroll on my tablet to name check everyone but have been reading all your news and will have fingers crossed this week for bpfs for everyone waiting!

Have a doctor's appointment booked on Friday, not sure whether to go or not. I hate going to the doctors, hate tests etc! But on the other hand I do feel like I should find out if there's anything wrong so will know whether to have any hope!

ricecakesrule Tue 20-Aug-13 18:44:38

Ha ha three piece just seen your post - very similar situation to me! Will let you know how gp goes, if I'm brave enough to go I'm sure you will be. The question is whether I am brave enough to go though!!

Am hoping a bit more knowledge from the opks with some targeted shagging gives me the edge this month and doc appointment proves to have been unnecessary! Am thinking that this first appointment will pretty much just be a referral?!

onelittlepiglet Tue 20-Aug-13 19:37:55

Aha found you!

dildoos Tue 20-Aug-13 19:52:27

Evening ladies, welcome newbies!
Hey abi how's little bean ?
Missed you to muzzy!
I was trapped in a submarine ride grin
Today the af came! I highly expected this and feel nothing no sadness no anger no anything so am thinking I may have hit the are you frickin joking its now 2 and 1/4 years wall? I hit this with dd 5 so ? My month coming up?
But please don't worry I feel amazingly cool with the af! But will however this month be not doing anything in baby making just Dtd when I fancy it grin ok so that will be everyday lol just in case!

dildoos Tue 20-Aug-13 20:33:20

Thank you for all my other welcome backs on the other thread too gringringrin it's lovely to feel missed even if I do fill the thread with my drivel smile x

pizzaqueen Tue 20-Aug-13 20:39:55

hello everyone! just checking in smile

AF just finished so just getting ready for the shagathon although dont mention that to DP as it freaks him out just make him think I really want him naked

Liquidambar Tue 20-Aug-13 21:09:11

Is it just me?I know this is completely irrational but I'm finding it very difficult to what "the midwives" on bbc two... I'm already crying sad

pizzaqueen Tue 20-Aug-13 21:45:00

liquid it was the littke boxes for the babies born sleeping that got me sad . And watching all those ladies in labour just makes me want to do it all again! even though it was flaming horrofic at the time. I felt I didn't enjoy my ds enough as a baby and I want to be more relaxed about it next time. Reproductive system don't let me down!

KPidgeon Tue 20-Aug-13 21:45:43

Hi everyone. Phewf- found you. Just marking my place and will be back soon.

AbiBub Tue 20-Aug-13 22:03:27

Hey ladies

Just popping in to say hi and lots of fxing here for you all, whether you will be POASing or DTDing or doctor appointing or wondering whether to go. I really do hope that things take a positive spin pardon thd pun .

2be, have my booking in appointment with m/w tomorrow, and the scan on thursday. Hopefully I will find out how far along I am and how manys in there. This isnt meant to sound ungrateful but im hoping tgat there is only one and not two in there as I just dont know how I will cope with twins and a 5year old at the ripe age of 32!! I get tired just dealing with ds. Sorry that must sound really Stooooopid.
Dildoos- little bean causing me mucho nausea, mornings are a killer, I just cant seem to function at all, which is upsetting me, as ds starts primary school in two weeks and im just worrying that I will not be able to do it without feeling dreadful. I might have to ask m/wife for the anti sickness tablets just in case. has anyone had experience of these?

Sorry for ranting on! So plans for the bank holiday peeps? x

fedupofrainydays Tue 20-Aug-13 23:24:14

Have you tried the wrist bands abi? I know some people that did and helped with ms. I just puked.but then I didn't have a ds first time round. second Pregnancy that ended in mc I just ate and was less sick (maybe a sign all not well) but felt v sick. only think that stopped me feeling sick were Wotsits and monster munch all the way!!

AbiBub Tue 20-Aug-13 23:45:32

Hey fedup! I have the wrist bands on as we write!! They are helping a bit, but its still present. If I wasnt wearing them I know I'd be very pukey so they are helping. Its just the morning atm that is worse. Hopefully that will calm down as the weeks go on! Thank you for suggesting it though! I cant do sweet things very well, and savory has to be quite bland :0/

Hows your birthday been lovely? x

KeepTheCarRunning Wed 21-Aug-13 06:12:07

yikes, fedup (shudders at the thought of a turmeric, baking soda and vinegar cocktail) I hope you had something nicer later on grin
good morning everyone!
getting ready for a tough day at work. Have a meeting w contractors who have not provided what we'd paid them for. So putting on my no-nonsense face smile
I think I'm out this month though. My temps are slowly dropping sad

KeepTheCarRunning Wed 21-Aug-13 06:14:44

and so sorry about the sickness Abi it's just horrible. Had it w ds, flat coke was the only thing that worked slightly. Do ask your midwife, I wish I had back then cos it's unbearable!

juleslynn77 Wed 21-Aug-13 08:01:02

I was feeling sick last night and in the day and convinced myself I was pregnant. I caved and POAS. got BFN hmm don't understand. AF still not arrived. Due day today confused

Liquidambar Wed 21-Aug-13 09:02:30

Good morning ladies.

jules sorry about the bfn. Perhaps your cycle is slightly longer than you initially thought. ... you may still get a bfp.

abi in my home country women are prescribed anti sickness tablets all the time. I'm sure some are completely safe to use. The only side effect they complain about is that they can make you feel ver sleepy.

pizza my ds was premature. Although everything went well at birth I had seven people in the room either monitoring me or the baby. The following months were hard but I want to do it again smile (hopefully not another premature baby)

keepthecar good luck for your meeting. Meeting with contractors are always... lets say... interesting wink . Have you used opk? or are you just monitoring your temperature?

fedup hope you enjoyed your birthday and dinner.

Another negative opk this morning. However,we started dtd. Dh is a happy man!

Liquidambar Wed 21-Aug-13 09:04:18

ricecakes when do you expect to ovulate? I think for me it will be around Sunday or Monday.

fedupofrainydays Wed 21-Aug-13 09:15:59

As gross as the cocktail was - it appears to have worked. All uti symptoms have gone. No cramps, back ache or urges to pee! Surely I deserve a bfp just for that?!?! Literally the most disgusting thing I have ever ever consumed but if it means I can avoid the anti - bs then I will do it!!

Pizza I get all funny watching one born every minute and oddly desperate to go through labour again, as hideous as it was. I think there is something natural in us that gives us these urges or we wouldn't reproduce (or try too) again.

Birthday dinner was lovely thanks and got a small head ache as a result of the booze! Worth it though as had lovely time with DH.

car good luck with the stern talking meeting! You tell em!

jules hope you're ok.
abi hope sickness subsides today (but not so it makes you worry!)

Still bfn in this camp...

Have a great day all xx

muzzy1 Wed 21-Aug-13 10:05:38

Are you still spotting jules? I started spotting before af about 3 months ago...I never had it before. Mine is always more pink than brown though. Sorry you got a bfn.

I couldn't watch it either liquid. I never thought i would believe the day I was jealous of women in childbirth! There was a newborn baby pic on my fb feed last night and it made my heart melt. I so want that.
I agree pizza I really want to enjoy every minute with number 2...it all seemed stressful for me the first time. This time I will defiantly try to enjoy every moment!
Poor you abi the sickness is just horrible! I didn't try tablets just wallowed in self pity and moaned all the time to dh!
Glad you had a good bday fedup.
Welcome newbies and good luck!

juleslynn77 Wed 21-Aug-13 10:24:26

Hi MUZZY. yes I'm still here and spotting away wink had lower abdominal cramps but had diarrhoea tmi sorry. So thinking maybe it's just a stomach bug. Something's not right. I got a BFN with DS (now 4yrs old) at first and then got BFP a week later. Wasn't expecting as wasn't trying so bit of a shock back then. So still hoping not just a stomach bug confused

Hi all. Can I join you? DS is almost 10 months and we've been TTC since he was about 6 months. Hoped this was the month but AF just arrived 3 days early. (Still secretly hoping implantation bleeding but doubt it

dildoos Wed 21-Aug-13 13:28:34

angryangry To all the bfns!
Glad to hear you had a good night with dh and survived your disgusting cocktail fed up!
Day 2 here! Still feeling nothing so all is balancedin my usually mentally unstable mind !
The sun is shining grin
X

onelittlepiglet Wed 21-Aug-13 13:35:46

Ah dildoos I'm day 3... Boring isn't it?! Just waiting until AF disappears...
I'm didn't realise you had been trying for over two years. Ttc really takes it out of you. I'm exhausted and this will be our 6th month!

I'm on countdown to inlaws visiting...ain't to endure a week of them is bad enough but they will be going on and on about sil's baby and I'm not us how I'm going to cope. sad

pizzaqueen Wed 21-Aug-13 15:48:37

so who's going to be the first BFP on the new thread? wink

my boss went on mat leave today, and I feel bad even saying this because she's lovely but thank god!! I don't have to sit and watch her rub her pregnant belly and chat about her plans for baby anymore. She knows I had a mc recently and has tried to be sensitive but I think everyone just thinks I should be 'over it' by now and won't quit with the pregnant chat.

juleslynn77 Wed 21-Aug-13 16:40:17

Ouch pizzaqueen that must be tough ! A girl in our office has just announced her pregnancy dammit!!! I'll be glad when she's gone on her mat leave too but got quite a wait! Not had a MC so can't imagine how many million times worse it is hmm sorry and hope it will be you that gets first BFP on this thread! Sounds like you deserve it X

fedupofrainydays Wed 21-Aug-13 16:56:24

pizza I'm with you on the people who think you should be 'over it' by now. I had the same, sensitive for a while after mc and now just about when my baby would have been due they are all banging on about their pregnancies, maternity leave, coping with two and all the stuff which I so badly want to be experiencing too. I just have to take myself away, only way I can handle it.

Welcome honey

dildoos sorry about af, but impressed with your positivity. Can I have some positivity too please?

juleslynn77 Thu 22-Aug-13 06:56:39

AF arrived confused

fedupofrainydays Thu 22-Aug-13 07:22:40

jules that sucks sad how late was she this month?

Bfn again here this morn, although i have started to imagine lines on my Internet cheapie despite fr saying a blatant bfn. Just got these cramps that don't feel like af and pretty sure aren't still the uti - or maybe they are.

KeepTheCarRunning Thu 22-Aug-13 07:56:29

good morning and welcome to all the new nutters grin
liquid no opks anymore, they have an unhealthy influence on me, get totally obsessed smile. so just temps cm and cervical position to obsess about for me... speaking of which, I had a huge temp drop this morning below my coverline. At 10 dpo what is that about?? so I'm not too positive about this cycle.
The meeting yesterday went well, they were suitably apologetic and made the right noises, but I'll await actual improvements...
I've booked today off and meeting DMum for lunch and a bit of shopping. can't wait to browse some shops and have a leisurely lunch with a glass of wine
jules so sorry about af, fingers xed for next month!
pizza totally get it re maternity leave. my neighbour is newly preg and I should be happy for them, of course I am, but at the same time I'm so jealous

KeepTheCarRunning Thu 22-Aug-13 07:57:39

epic strike out failure there grin blame the phone!

muzzy1 Thu 22-Aug-13 08:11:42

That's rubbish jules....spotting before AF never seems to be a good sign. Hope you're ok.

2beornot Thu 22-Aug-13 08:24:26

Morning ladies.

Jules flowers for you. Hope you don't feel too bad about it.

Fedup fingers crossed. Bartbaby started off the last thread and was pregnant by the end of it so could be an omen for you!!

fedupofrainydays Thu 22-Aug-13 08:44:25

I have been imagining lines!!
Did bart start the last one? Oooo maybe it is a sign. Hope so but doubt it knowing my luck.

I should be on maternity leave now sad

Liquidambar Thu 22-Aug-13 08:56:23

good morning ladies

jules sorry to hear about Af. I hope you are okay.

keepthecar glad the meeting went well and envy of your shopping trip.

fedup it's hard when the symptoms are so close! any news about your next doctor's appointment?

one I think you should try to imagine a nice beach, blue skies and a nice cocktail every time your inlaws chat about your SIL's baby. just nodge your head wink

another negative opk this morning I'm trying to think it's okay as I'm only on cycle day 9.

Need to do some work!! hope everyone will have a good day

Liquidambar Thu 22-Aug-13 08:57:47

x post fedup. hugs!

Hi all,

I think this is the place I need to be! Me and my H have been TTC number 2 since January. As of today my period is 2 days late. It always starts on the 20th, no fail... but still no sign of it, or any of the signs I normally get. I've tried peeing on some sticks, yesterday and this morning, but they have come up negative. I've tried a ASDA one, a clearblue digital and a first response (normal, not early) one. I'm so confused. I'm tiered, feel nauseous etc but if the tests says not pregnant 2 days late, does this mean I am not pregnant - sorry for the dumb questions, our DD was a suprise!

Thanks

AbiBub Thu 22-Aug-13 10:12:33

Morning ladies!

Rice cakes ahoy here this morning, I cant work out if they're working, but im still hungry!!! Might try some drytoast as well just to fill me up! I llong for cereal with milk!!!!! Thank you for all your kind words re sickness!

Sorry to hear you got af jules, fresh cycle, onwards and upwards I used to say to myself, at least you get to do the fun dtd bit all over again wink

Fedup, and all the ladies on this post for that matter, I am soooooooooo keeping my fx that you all get bfp this cycle. You are all so bloomin lovely and bloody well deserve it for sure.

Mainly lurking here ladies, but the odd post wont hurt will it grin ¿

AbiBub Thu 22-Aug-13 10:16:46

Sparkly, have you tried superdrug one? They are really low detection levels (10miu) . You can still get a bfp, everyones different and every stick bean different too. This time round I got bfp a day after my missed af (using superdrug ones) but with ds (years back) I didnt get a bfp until I was 6weeks 6days! So anything possible. Hcg levels can vary soooo much!

Keeping fx for all. x

Hi AbiBub

Thank you, I'll have to go and grab some of those ones! Asdas are 15miu I think. Good to know that it could still get a BFP! Last time I tested 4 days or a week late I think and got a clear BFP first time. It's so difficult atm, want it to be positive so badly, so every trip to the toilet is stressfull (so if TMI!). Definetly feel pregnant, but I may just be sypmtom spotting to much!

ricecakesrule Thu 22-Aug-13 12:54:29

Hi All, sorry to hear about the bfn's, surely we need at least one bfp over the back holiday?

Got a flashing smile on opk this morning, so high fertility (3 or 4 days pre ovulation) and will now be DTD religiously. DH makes me laugh and gets a bit offended that I only want him for TTC, so will have to keep quiet about the opk results!

Hoping to hear some good news from somebody over the next few days, come on ladies!

Oh and I decided to keep docs appointment, told my mum what it was for (need to use her car and she is having ds) and she was really supportive. It took her 7 years to get pg first time round shock can't help but feel she was doing it wrong grin grin so she has a pretty good idea what we're all going through!

juleslynn77 Thu 22-Aug-13 14:14:52

Thanks ladies. AF was actually due so at least I know I'm regular right? I just has so many other symptoms that I was convinced I was pg. Ah well suppose it means I can get back on the DTD wagon wink
Hope there's a BFP from someone soon. I'm gonna go to the docs to get fertility tested. Anyone had that done? What do they do? confused

fedupofrainydays Thu 22-Aug-13 15:41:43

Help ladies.

So I POAS this morn on Internet cheapie and bfn. Double checked with FR, bfn.

Just POAS again with ic again and there is a line. Crappety, crap crap. So I have POAS again (well actually it's in a pot) with same wee for superdrug test and bfn. Staring at it hoping a line will develop. Officially mad.

ChampagneTastes Thu 22-Aug-13 15:54:14

Hi All - may I join? I did join briefly under a different username a couple of months back but the lack of success started to get me down and I didn't want to be reading about other people's happy news and being all jealous and sulky!

I'm TTC number 2. My DS is 14months and we've been trying since January. I'm now starting to worry to be honest although I know seven months isn't that long compared to some. Not feeling it for this month either. I'm due on at the end of the month and have tried to stay off the wine this month. It's my birthday on Saturday though I'm making no promises!

fedupofrainydays I am also guilty of ridiculous over-peeing. It has finally occurred to me that if I am pregnant I will find out simply by waiting. However this requires patience and that is not a quality I am particularly know for. I have no doubt that on the 29th August I will be peeing on multiple sticks and holding them up to the light.

Best of luck all those who are POAS at the moment.

ricecakesrule Thu 22-Aug-13 16:30:00

fedup - how much water are you drinking too support all this poas?! I think you need to go and buy a clear blue digital, then lock it away until first wee tomorrow. Then report back immediately! I know they're expensive but no holding up to the light nonsense!! Good luck anyway fx for you.

juleslynn/lynnjules ?! sorry can't check on my tablet! I'm going for initial appointment tomorrow so will report back, suspect this will just be a referral but will let you know!

ricecakesrule Thu 22-Aug-13 16:30:45

Welcome champagne! smile

fedupofrainydays Thu 22-Aug-13 18:39:08

A lot of POAC rather than POAS!!

Ok... Only thing is am only 10/11 dpo and not sure cb digi will pick it up as not as sensitive as Internet cheapos. Dreading seeing the 'not pregnant' and it's all been a big joke to get back at me for being a POAS addict.

fedupofrainydays Thu 22-Aug-13 18:39:54

Welcome back champagne

getagoldtoof Thu 22-Aug-13 20:03:26

I found you all! So I haven't read all of the thread - but...

Keepthecar - isn't temp dip 10 dpo supposed to signal implantation? Goolgle it, I'm sure it does. Could be a good sign.

Will catch up in a bit X

juleslynn77 Thu 22-Aug-13 20:31:56

Thanks ricecakes. Keep me posted and good luck. smile

Juleslynn77 Thu 22-Aug-13 20:45:02

Fyi - Am changing my name to Whynotnow? Seems appropriate smile

Whynotnow Thu 22-Aug-13 20:46:19

Done. Still here grin

Irishdiscobiscuit Thu 22-Aug-13 21:04:42

Hi ladies can I join? Been lurking for a couple of weeks (since coming off pill) been try to be super icy cool about ttc number 2 but epic fail obsessed already! Had. Few wines this evening hence the balls to actually add a msg petrified DH will see h already thinks I am nuts!!!

2beornot Fri 23-Aug-13 07:53:05

Welcome irish!!

My DH knows I come on here to be nutty - it means I can be normal ( most of the time) around him.

Fedup I know ur a POAS addict like me, but I'm thinking you should have a day off. Try again 12dpo when you should get ur BFP x

Hi all,

me again! Couldn't resist this morning, but still a BFN, and no sign of my period starting....arg!

Liquidambar Fri 23-Aug-13 09:56:51

welcome sparkly irish and champagne lets hope you get your bfp soon.

fedup any news?

I got another negative opk (cycle day 10) this morning (I am using thr digital monitor). I'm starting to panic a little bit... but then I try to calm down by saying lying to myself that it's still okay.

Whynotnow Fri 23-Aug-13 10:02:34

Sparkly. How late are you?

I'm 3 days late Whynot :/

ricecakesrule Fri 23-Aug-13 10:16:46

Back from the doctors, 5 min appointment! Basically have just referred me for tests, don't know how long the wait will be, have to wait for a letter. Doc agreed with me that having got pregnant very quickly each other time, would suggest implantation issues rather than fertility. Says there are pessary type treatments available to correct / strengthen lining etc so sounded quite positive....

Got a high opk yesterday so dtd last night, weird doing it 'to order' although we had a giggle about it! I got the 4 day digital one so I'm on high fertility, should peak Sunday/Monday.... I'm on day 12 now so think that makes my cycle pretty normal.

Oh and dh has to dtd with a pot for the docs too grin

Hope everyone has a good day and good bank holiday weekend. smile

GandTnow Fri 23-Aug-13 11:18:41

Not temping or OPK (as last time I became poas mad, mad, mad and know if I start, I'll never stop), but I'm day 11 of cycle, have dtd twice and intend to dtd tonight and then another day (if we can keep up the rather increased sessions!! blush). Hoping that it happens soon as not sure this is sustainable!

Good luck everyone, lets hope the bank holiday holds some good news grin

Whynotnow Fri 23-Aug-13 11:21:00

Ha ha ricecakes that has cheered me up no end. Sounds positive. I conceived easy with #1 as well. Gonna go on Tuesday and see what they say.

Sparkly have you been this late before? I got a BFN with my DS and then BFP a week later so it can take some time for it to show up. I would wait until 1 week late before POAS again if you can wait that long....confused
Fingers crossed x

Whynotnow Fri 23-Aug-13 11:22:11

Says she who POAS 5 days before AF due. LOL x

hehe Whynot No, they only time I've been late is when I am on the pill. Off the pill, it is always like clockwork, on the 20th. I'll try to wait as long as I can! I think with DD I tested when a week late and it showed up straight away, so it may just take time with me! Arg the suspense is killing me! Doesn't help my sister-in-law is pregnant lol

Whynotnow Fri 23-Aug-13 12:26:35

Sounds promising sparkly! grin
Got everything crossed for you and feel free to rant over next few days as you suffer from trying desperately not to POAS syndrome. confused
You can do it! LOL x

fedupofrainydays Fri 23-Aug-13 14:53:09

Bfn again for me, and have stopped for weekend. Got a bit down as had that positive yesterday that's clearly false. So we are on our way to a weekend away with friends. Going to be boozy but don't care, think I need it - let my hair down and have some fun! I've been too stressed with bloody sticks!!!
Have a great bank hol weekend ladies xx

KeepTheCarRunning Fri 23-Aug-13 15:29:22

so sorry about bfn fedup but have a good weekend w booze! I'm testing tomorrow morning. dh and I are going to a party and I want to know if I can drink. Not really expecting anything in terms of bfp, as temps are still lowish sad

GandTnow Fri 23-Aug-13 15:44:04

Ok, so my grand plan of avoiding poas and not going mad has gone by the by, now I'm symptom spotting about ov all the time. Should have just saved myself this new type of crazy and stuck the poas madness I did last time. Urgh

onelittlepiglet Fri 23-Aug-13 16:20:08

Sorry for all the bfns. But at let we can all have a drink this weekend! Nice got the inlaws here so I will need one (or many...)...

Hope those planning to test this weekend have some good news!

Feeling very tired at the moment so I'm a bit worried I'm not going to feel much like DTD next week! Also very stressed out about inlaws being here for a week (we don't really get on) so that's not really going to help much.

2beornot Fri 23-Aug-13 18:21:11

Well it's cd10 and not dtd yet. I'm just not feeling it this month. Hoping to start tonight. Just hope I'm not too late, last cycle was only 23 days so I suppose it could have happened already?! Panicking now!!!

dildoos Fri 23-Aug-13 21:47:31

Sorry fed up I had everything crossed! Sorry for all bfns!
Hooray for long weekends plied with booze grin
Day 4 here af not getting message that its not welcome anymore grrrr
Put on 1/2 a stone too whilst away on hols so will mainly be trying to get fit again xx

muzzy1 Fri 23-Aug-13 21:51:39

Hi...sorry everyone seems really down on this thread today. Hope all those getting bfn 's are doing ok. We will get there ladies. In the meantime have a drink or two over the weekend...it's our wedding anniversary tomorrow so I am having bubbles and the rarest steak I can order! Only 5dpo so figure it can't hurt yet!

flame40s Sat 24-Aug-13 00:12:17

Hi all...

Muzzy congrats on your anniversary. Mine is on 28th Aug.

Liking the positivity esp re alcohol hee hee !

ChampagneTastes Sat 24-Aug-13 06:33:48

Morning all. Sorry to hear about all the BFNs. I'll be testing next weekend and I've been very good about steering clear of coffee and alcohol. Today's my birthday though and I think my lovely DH is taking us all out somewhere so I may be naughty and have a tiny glass of something nice. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. wine

KeepTheCarRunning Sat 24-Aug-13 07:12:00

bfn this morning on cb digital so that's that... bring on af, ughhhh... I want to scream, this week has been so stressful with an unsuccessful job application yesterday and bfn today...sad angry.
but congrats champagne! have a lovely day thanks

KeepTheCarRunning Sat 24-Aug-13 07:12:45

KeepTheCarRunning Sat 24-Aug-13 07:13:10

dildoos Sat 24-Aug-13 07:33:49

Chin up x

2beornot Sat 24-Aug-13 07:44:22

Morning ladies. Sorry about all the BFNs. Boooooo!

DH and I are officially in the race now! It was funny coz we were both so tired last night - went to friends and didn't get back until after 1am - but knew we had to. I didn't have to encourage or remind him he just knew!! It's so nice that its not just me!

We need a BFP on here soon - it's been too long!!

Liquidambar Sat 24-Aug-13 07:50:33

happy birthday champagne. enjoy your day and your glass of wine smile

happy anniversary muzzy

champagne sorry to hear you had a couple of hard days. hugs. I hope you'll have a relaxing weekend and don't forget to pamper yourself a little bit.

sorry about all the bfn.

I finally had a positive opk this morning. We dtd yesterday and we'll continue for the next 3 days. We are on holiday and going abroad tomorrow for a week.

Have a great weekend.

2beornot Sat 24-Aug-13 07:52:30

Excellent news liquid! I think I will def use OPKs next month - it just seems so nice to know when you are ovulating!

Liquidambar Sat 24-Aug-13 08:00:06

2be your post made me laugh because it happened exactly the same to us. we were out, dh had a few drinks and we were both exhausted but still did it. This ttc thing is very complex wink

LostMarbles99 Sat 24-Aug-13 09:40:48

Great to catch up on all the news!

Good ish news for me as my reflexology worked and AF finally came after 74 days.

Going to have a few more treatments and hope AF will come more regularly!

Am making a more conscious effort to eat more fruit/veg, cut down on wine, eat oily fish twice per week, 30 min walk at least 5 times a week and take pre preg vitamins (dh takes these also as I have him convinced we will find it much harder to get pregnant!)

Have a great weekend!

fedupofrainydays Sat 24-Aug-13 10:53:14

Ugh. Went a bit over board with the booze last night. Feel good for having done it though without ttc shadow over me.

Tried not to get upset when people we are away with are talking about no 2 and even 3 and kind of forgetting / ignoring my situ (they all know about mc etc). Will be v upset / annoyed if one partic lady gets preggers before me. Her first is 7 months younger than my ds and she just assumes that she will have another just like that. What gets me is I think she will. I need to accept it will probably happen but it's tough all the same.

fedupofrainydays Sat 24-Aug-13 10:56:36

Good news re cycles marbles

And i do like opks too! My ov does vary every month with my cycle length at the mo so it does help to have them in think

GandTnow Sat 24-Aug-13 16:54:44

Sorry to hear things are difficult for you fedup, people sometimes seem to have a short memory or lack of understanding about how a mc can affect you.sad
flowers for you.

Marbles good news re cycle.

Dtd last night and going to try once more this cycle (must admit, all this extra sexing is exhausting!!!!!! grin

dildoos Sat 24-Aug-13 20:12:07

Go Gand!
Fed up bloody people that seem to have brain and mouth disconnection syndrome! Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
Roekorderlig Is what is on agenda here grin

KPidgeon Sat 24-Aug-13 20:22:26

Hi ladies. Sorry for no writing. Had a hectic week- DS's social life not mine!- and also not much to write. Did 5 POAS. All negative including a early detection one this morning and period due tomorrow so not looking hopeful for me. Rubbish!
Just hope AF comes tomorrow rather than teasing me like last month and being bloody 7 days late.
Moan moan, sorry.
Sorry people were insensitive to you fedup I've got a couple of friends like that- I think until you've experienced a mc or delays in conceiving you're just clueless about the impact it has on people.
Here's hoping that ONE of us gets a BFP this weekend. Lots of us were due AFs weren't we.
Fingers crossed all.

fedupofrainydays Sat 24-Aug-13 23:45:04

Good luck for everyone expecting af this weekend. Think I'm out after my bfn yesterday but hopefully someone will bring some bfp news to this thread v soon!!

Hope you are ok kp. I too have POAS too many times this month. Suppose it hasn't got me anywhere but also hasn't led me to be hopeful right til the last minute (if that makes sense)

Someone else just said tonight about a holiday we are all going on in NEXT September - to Canada for the wedding Mentioned before - 'it will be ok for you, you only have one child' . Harsh.
Thanks for listening to my moans ladies. I'm just super sensitive at the mo and pick up on everything people say!

Keep up the good work g&t and all others dtd this weekend!

dildoos Sun 25-Aug-13 07:13:54

Fx for all the bfns to turn to bfps not over til the af arrives!! I have everything crossed for you all even my ovaries ! Xx

getagoldtoof Sun 25-Aug-13 07:41:01

Fedup, that is darned insensitive. Do they know about your mc? What a self obsessed thing to say. Hope everything else was lovely. I'm sorry for the bfns, you must be absolutely confused after positive ic. Was it a dark line?

Hey dildoos - crossing your ovaries might be a good plan, could help with ttc?!

G&t - good work on the shagging!

Marbles, your plan sounds excellent. Positive lifestyle should lead to balance.

KP - sorry about bfn. This whole thing can really get us down. It's hard work.

Having said that I was watching a programme where a mother was sad her daughter was moving off to college. She said her younger child would be leaving soon, too - and that that made her really sad. I thought, there's a reason to have a bigger age gap, children in the house for longer. It's calmed me right down.

I thought I had ovulated about two weeks ago, but my temps have been all over the place, so I'm not at all sure now. By lmp i should be due monday. By suspected ov, thursday. Going on my hols for a week. Not going to temp, not going to poas. Wish me luck!

Ps. Hoping lots have tested too early and get bfp bythe ttime I get back!

KPidgeon Sun 25-Aug-13 09:36:51

geta that is a nice way to think about it. There are advantages to a bigger age gap, of course. I keep trying to bear them in mind. More time and energy to devote to each child too. And our first DS/DDs don't actually know any different. This is normal for them.

fedup you're not being oversensitive that was a really stupid thing to say.

Here's hoping the sun gets his hat back on today- that will help spirits won't it.

I watched Dirty Dancing last night to cheer myself up! Well I had a little cry over lovely Patrick Swayze but sometimes a little wallow is what you need eh!

2beornot Sun 25-Aug-13 10:08:10

Geta - that sounds like a plan!!! Hope it works out Nd you can relax!!

Fedup - I know sometimes people just don't think, and I don't mind because I appreciate that for us the memory of our mc will always be there but not for them. But that was particularly insensitive. I'm afraid I would've had to say something.

hi all, just me checking in. still no period, and 5 days late. yesterday i still got a BFN, can't poas as i was up in the night, so my wee isn't concentrated enough (sorry tmi). So still just waiting and hoping hmm

GandTnow Sun 25-Aug-13 10:18:32

Ok, so I don't even think I've ovulated yet but already symptom spotting. Feeling bloated and my trousers are, I swear, tighter than this time last week. Probably just too much food! I feel sick and dizzy.

I'm so annoyed because I know that these can't possibly to symptoms yet, and that my body is just messing with my head and that there are at least 14 days until I can test. Arggh! Why did I think that ttc #2 was going to be so much more laid back and chilled than last time. Fool. sad

Hoping to see some bfps on here soon, smile

KeepTheCarRunning Sun 25-Aug-13 11:02:33

so, that's me out. af arrived last night sad. two days early... gaaah... bring on next month

fedupofrainydays Sun 25-Aug-13 13:25:57

Me too. Af here sad

2beornot Sun 25-Aug-13 14:36:18

sad for keep and fedup. I'm sorry it didn't work for you two this month x

KPidgeon Sun 25-Aug-13 16:02:14

No AF yet but one mother of a meltdown on husband after another BFN and an afternoon with a pregnant friend. Think it must be PMT as I was sobbing for ages. Not normal behaviour. Just hurry up and come now stupid AF.

ChampagneTastes Sun 25-Aug-13 17:49:25

KPidgeon - sorry about BFN. fedup and keepthecarrunning (and anyone else) - sorry about AF. Mine appears to have turned up too, a week late. Before I had DS1 my periods were like clockwork; no idea when anything is happening any more. Resisting buying ovulation sticks as I think it probably just feeds my paranoia. Ah well, onwards and upwards...

getagoldtoof Sun 25-Aug-13 19:31:28

Keep the car, fedup and champs, sorry to hear about af. That's shit.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you KP.

Sparkly I would be getting well stressed!

G&t, me too about ttc 2 - had no idea I would be this stressed so quickly!

2B - where in your cycle are you?

dildoos Sun 25-Aug-13 20:50:57

sadsadsadsadsad For all the afs and bfns! We need some winethanks and spa days here I think! Still on af grr day 6 here! Only work for 2 days thus week then start new job next week smilesmilesmile cannot wait xx

muzzy1 Sun 25-Aug-13 21:05:22

Really sorry to hear AF turning up for you fedup, champagne and keep . Hugs to you all.
Still hoping for you kp. I had a similar meltdown yesterday...sometimes it just hits you doesn't it.

I'm 7dpo now and have the start of a horrid cold....I did get a really faint line on an ic this morning but pretty sure it's just a evap line as I've done 2 since and nothing, plus I think a BFP is pretty impossible at 7dpo! No doubt ill be testing daily now.

bart how are you doing?

2beornot Sun 25-Aug-13 21:43:38

I'm on cd12. Planning on dtd tonight, tues and thurs (just in case) then on to a neurotic 2ww!!

Going into London tomorrow - taking dd to the aquarium. Really looking forward to it!!

pizzaqueen Sun 25-Aug-13 23:09:45

sorry to those who have af and bfn this week sad

I've had pains in my right side tonight (ov?) but dp has put his back out and fell asleep, despite my heavy hinting to dtd. No positive on opk yet though so hoping maybe ov is still to come and the pain is something else? On cd 13 today and i got positive opk on cd18 last month. Hopefully his back is better and can dtd tomorrow.

GandTnow Mon 26-Aug-13 09:32:38

Power through pizzaqueen! Hope your DH's back is better today.

Really sorry for all the bfns and afs, boo sad.

I'm now in the 2ww, DH has gone away for the week so even though technically there was another 'window' to dtd today, that's it for this month. Just have to sit back and wait (drums fingers on desk.... ) I've been getting really bad cramping pains in my lower abdomen today and last night and feel really bloated. I'm guessing that it's all psychosomatic as surely too early for implantation pains? Any thoughts or a slap to tell me to stop symptom spotting much appreciated! smile

Hope the sun is shining for your bank holidays.

onelittlepiglet Mon 26-Aug-13 12:21:01

Right AF has gone thank goodness! Inlaws are here though so not sure when or if we will DTD this week... Will have to try to sneak some in by Friday!

Need to cut down on my drinking....but can't stop this week - it's the only way to get through all the snide comments my mil is making!

Hope everyone else has better weeks than I'm having!

BartBaby Mon 26-Aug-13 16:18:34

Hello ladies smile sorry I have been a bit absent of late. Bad sickness and zero energy meant everything has been a bit of an effort!

I've got tablets for the sickness last week though which are helping so at least that's a start.

muzzy have you re-tested today? I really hope it is a bfp for you.

fedup yeah it was me that started the last thread so I'm hoping it is just as lucky for you this month grin

I've read all the messages on the new thread but there is so much to go through! I will definately try harder from now on points finger at self welcome to all the newbies on here. It such a brilliant thread with so much support from people who are just as mental know what you are going through.

Sorry to those with bfn's and af sad and those with tests coming up I know it must be very nerve wracking for you's. but surely if there is something wrong then the quicker you know about it, then the quicker you can look at getting it fixed flowers and fingers crossed that there won't be anything wrong and your bfp's will be just round the corner

muzzy1 Mon 26-Aug-13 19:39:17

Hey Bart. Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well...how many weeks are you now? Hope it passes soon.

Bfn this morning but I'm not surprised as its v.early. I've got my hopes up this month for some reason, means the arrival of af is going to be even harder to bear!

NobodyPutsMyBabyInTheCorner Mon 26-Aug-13 20:25:55

Hi, Can I join?

We have been half heartedly TTC for the past 3 Months but as of August have gotten serious (calculating CM and DTD on predicted ovulation days).

DC1 was an accident, so I'm not really sure what to expect, I'm already driving myself mad and googling all manner of things.

I used to be on the dot with my cycles, pre DC, each lasting 28 days but recently they have been 34,26,36!? I'm generally going on a 31 day cycle and my CM is a strong indicator as there is lots of EWCM (TMI...)

Would you recommend charting temps, has anyone got a similar cycle?
I'm in the 2ww now, hoping for a BFP for someone soon smile

BartBaby Mon 26-Aug-13 21:05:26

muzzy I'm 8 weeks tomorrow. Although I feel about 6 months with all the bloating! My jeans already don't fasten grin

Sorry for your bfn. Like you said though it is still early days and lots of people have a few -ve's before they get their bfp's!

GandTnow Tue 27-Aug-13 08:59:50

Hi Nobody, I'm also on 2ww - only 13 days to go! Already working out jsut how soon I could test (although there's part of me that would poas today if I didn't have to face DH when he realises blush!)

I'm not temping or anything yet, just trying to keep my crazy in check for a while.

Good luck.

2beornot Tue 27-Aug-13 09:00:50

Hi ladies.

I'm on cd14 today - which should be ovulation day according to average but I have a feeling I've missed it. Will dtd tonight anyway just in case, but (sorry for tmi) we dtd in cd10 and there was no 'seepage' (iykwim) but there was lots of seepage when we dtd on cd12. My logic is that when there is no seepage that's because the ewcm is doing its job. So I reckon we've missed ov. Although its only takes once I'm not hopeful. I'm definitely going to get OPKs next month because we can't start dtd too early as DH gets exhausted, but then this month I think we've left it too late. Arrrrrrgh!

2beornot Tue 27-Aug-13 09:02:27

Hi GandT. Guess well be POAS buddies then!! Oh yes, I might not be feeling optimistic, but I won't let that stand in the way of me POAS (in fact it'll prob mean ill do it earlier coz I hate it when AF turns up early and denies me the opportunity!!!)

GandTnow Tue 27-Aug-13 11:09:27

Ooo, I've never had a poas buddy before, most exciting! I hope you realise I'm going to use as my bench mark and not poas til you do..... have you done it yet? Just walked past Boots sooo slooowly trying to decide whether to buy a test or not; resisted this time smile

2beornot Tue 27-Aug-13 12:03:39

I'll prob wait til 7 dpo to test - anything before that really is crazy!! At least if you do it too I can convince DH that I'm not not bonkers - honest!!!

I've got a sainsbury one in the cupboard, but could do with a first response one ready!!

muzzy1 Tue 27-Aug-13 15:55:04

Hi ladies I'm driving myself insane and can't even tell dh what I'm up to as am testing way to early...so I know it's too early and I shouldn't be testing and i will just have to be patient and no-one can give me an answer but i did a clearblue test this morning and a line came up right away but it's very very thin and a bit faint but actually visible and not imaginary like some of my lines! It's the thin bit which I think means its a false positive. Anyway sorry I don't even know what I'm posting for....maybe for someone to say its positive! Sorry I realise how mad I sound!!

2beornot Tue 27-Aug-13 16:06:25

Muzzy - how many dpo are you? With my preg in April I tested and got a positive at 7-9dpo!!! A line's a line!! Can u post a picture?

NobodyPutsMyBabyInTheCorner Tue 27-Aug-13 16:44:45

Hi Gand and everyone.

Ill be testing around the 5th so next week.
I've looked on eBay and they sell pregnancy tests and ovulation kits for cheap. The person Claims to be an NHS provider, what do you think...

link

I can feel this being an expensive venture. I have one superdrug test in the cupboard.

pizzaqueen Tue 27-Aug-13 16:50:40

muzzy a line is a line! poas again in a couple of days. how many dpo are you?

nobody these are known as 'internet cheapies' loads of people on mn use them. I order mine on amazon but they're all basically the same I think.

I don't know if I've ov yet but just worked out bfp/af will due on the 11th right in the middle of our holiday and ds will want to go swimming all the time so even more reason to hope for bfp.

NobodyPutsMyBabyInTheCorner Tue 27-Aug-13 17:16:02

I've got my fingers crossed for you pizza. I'm going to buy some Internet cheapies if I don't get a bfp this month!

muzzy1 Tue 27-Aug-13 17:24:42

I'm about 8dpo. What test was yours on 2be? I'll try and post a pic if I can figure it out!

fedupofrainydays Tue 27-Aug-13 17:30:07

Beware of ICs I got a false positive this month. Broke me. And it wasn't an evap, it was a solid line. I tested again in same wee and bfn and then got af 3 days later. Just to warn you.

Muzzy - a line is a line but yes the thinness would make me question it. I would be testing again on a different test!! Good luck and fx for you

2beornot Tue 27-Aug-13 18:20:44

Muzzy I can't remember what type - picture is on my profile (I too doubted it so early!)

GandTnow Tue 27-Aug-13 18:44:16

2be you've got me excited now, can you test that early? I thought I'd be pushing it at 3 days before af due. Really excited now - eek!

Muzzy it sure looks like a line to me, I think I'd be tempted to test again in the morning and see what happens. fx for you.

2beornot Tue 27-Aug-13 18:52:55

GandT - no of course you can't! That's what makes us a little bit bonkers (frer say 7 days before AF due tho)

muzzy1 Tue 27-Aug-13 19:09:15

Fedup that must have been such a headfuck for you!
I've put a pic up, it looks even fainter in the pic...I promise there is one and I'm not hallucinating! Obviously it's the cross sort of tests so is the barely there line going down and not the big fat one across!

2be yours was so clear for so early on!
I have a SuperDrug one for the morning so fingers crossed!

AbiBub Tue 27-Aug-13 19:28:29

Muzzy I dont know how to get to your pic!!!! Please posta llink! ! Im excited now!! Just been lurking peeps just to see how everyones doing. Sorry to hear some peeps have got af, keeping my fx that everyone in the 2ww or dtd gets a bfp soon! :0) x

Hows everyone feeling?

fedupofrainydays Tue 27-Aug-13 19:40:28

Yeah, where's this pic muzzy?! I can't see a link!

It was a head fuck. Really got my hopes up. I won't be buying them again, would rather waste my hard earned cash on proper tests!

GandTnow Tue 27-Aug-13 19:50:32

2be - blush Oh, sorry, I'll try and calm down....... still with you on testing early though! Eeep!

muzzy1 Tue 27-Aug-13 19:50:41

I don't know where it is either! Can you not see it on my profile page...I thought I set it to public. I will check again!

fedupofrainydays Tue 27-Aug-13 19:57:30

I can't see your profile page at all....

Liquidambar Tue 27-Aug-13 20:45:13

oh now I'm super excited about muzzy. smile

gandtnow and 2be. can I join you I'm also cd 14. I think ovulation was around yesterday.

I'm on holidays at the moment and Dh says I'm completely bonkers but you can't imagine how many pregnant women I saw today at the beach shock . I must confess i was very envy... they all looked so good in their bikinis and rubbing their bumps.

I hope everyone is doing well.

muzzy1 Tue 27-Aug-13 21:21:15

Ok I give up...have set everything to public and still don't think it's showing?

NobodyPutsMyBabyInTheCorner Tue 27-Aug-13 21:36:37

Can't see it muzzy- oooh I'm excited to though!

Liquid- isn't it funny how all the pregnant women come out as soon as you're TTC? hmm smile

pizzaqueen Tue 27-Aug-13 21:48:52

oh liquid g&t and 2b I'm 15dpo so is that in sync with you? I'm up for a mass poas but I'm going to try my hardest not to test early this month. My cycles aren't regular yet (2nd cycle post mc) but reckon I'm due around 11th based on last cycle.

I got a faint opk tonight then an even fainter one three hours later so I think im just about to ov! we're probably not going to manage to dtd tonight though dp doesnt finish work until 11pm. Damn!

fedupofrainydays Tue 27-Aug-13 21:49:03

Nope! Just do your super drug one tomorrow morn and give us all an update!!

Every mode of public transport I get these days I'm confronted with at least two pregnant women with their 'baby on board' badges from the tube. Found mine the other day in the bottom of my hand bag, next to my tampon supply. Ironic.

muzzy1 Tue 27-Aug-13 22:11:01

Ffs! I will let you know tomorrow...I think I've set myself up for a massive fall anyway....

Good luck pizza.... Did you DTD in the last couple of days?

Ah I never got a baby on board badge on the tube...I hated the tube pregnant!

pizzaqueen Tue 27-Aug-13 22:20:38

awaiting your update tomorrow muzzy everything crossed for you.

We dtd sat, sun, monday monday was best in ages so hoping some are still swimming about up there ready and waiting wink

2beornot Tue 27-Aug-13 22:49:14

Pizza - if I go with 28 day cycle then due on the 11th too! I reckon it'll be before that though.

Ok so that's 3 of us. I reckon if we all decide when we're going to do it (and choose a sensible not-too-nutty date) then ill be able to hold off until then and not POAS far too early. I'm thinking towards the end of next week/weekend?

2beornot Tue 27-Aug-13 22:49:32

Muzzy - reading with interest tomorrow!!!

dildoos Wed 28-Aug-13 06:53:21

Good mmorning all .
Muzzy well? I am excited gringringringringrin its like Christmas morning smile
Fx for your strong normal line xx
Today is my first of 2 last days if that makes sense as I work in 2 practices grin nervous lol xx

fedupofrainydays Wed 28-Aug-13 08:29:30

Talk about keeping us waiting muzzy!!

Good luck / enjoy the last two days dildoos and excited for your new job!

GandTnow Wed 28-Aug-13 08:31:19

I'm all up for mass poas, I was thinking maybe next Friday? I'm due on the 9th but go away on 8th. Would really like to know before then, but maybe thats too soon for you guys?

muzzy1 Wed 28-Aug-13 08:56:27

BFN! Rubbish! I hate those stupid clearblue tests...there is blatantly a line but nothing on the superdrug test this morning. Oh we'll it's still early says i suppose sad

fedupofrainydays Wed 28-Aug-13 09:07:52

It is still crazy early muzzy so don't lose hope just yet. Stick to pink dye tests too or digital not that I listen is what I hear is best. Fx it was just too early

muzzy1 Wed 28-Aug-13 09:17:38

Thanks fed up. Am def sticking to pink dye tests from now on....

2beornot Wed 28-Aug-13 09:27:32

Muzzy - don't give up!! Do you feel like its worked this month? I can normally tell if it hasn't worked, even if I'm desperately hoping I'm wrong.

What are pink dye tests?!

GandT - Friday might be a bit early for us but to be honest ill have POAS by then anyway! Plus if I'm right and I ov earlier then it'll be perfect timing!!

Not that I have a hope in hells chance of being pregnant. Only dtd twice this month (don't ask about last night!) and I have no idea when I ovulated. I've told DH to google opk at lunch today.

muzzy1 Wed 28-Aug-13 09:38:11

I actually for once feel like it might have worked...partly because I feel like absolute shit! But then I have had a bad cold so that's probably the reason why! It's still so bloody early I don't think I'd have symptoms by now anyway.

Pink dye tests are frer and SuperDrug ones. Clearblue use blue dye which from what I've read are not as good as ones with pink dye!

Sorry you don't get to dtd last night!

KPidgeon Wed 28-Aug-13 09:45:02

Muzzy- still hoping for you. A line is a line...

Thanks for the info on superdrug test. I shall get a batch of them as have been using cheapo boots ones but they are blue dye.

Bit rubbish here. Was due on Sunday and am late late late again- like last month. But deffo not pregnant. Tried CBdigitals and others and nothing. Think my bod is still messed up from late miscarrriage in May. So annoying.

What is a frer please?

AbiBub Wed 28-Aug-13 09:54:32

Hey ladies

Sorry to hear a bfn but lets hope that changes over when you're due!! Whens af due?

2be and a few others so your due around 11th then, hopefully they'll be bfp instead of af's !! Even if you dtd once you could still very much be in with a chance 2be, it only takes the once to get up duffed!!

Enjoy your last 2days dildoos!

How is everyone one else? x

muzzy1 Wed 28-Aug-13 10:06:00

Hi k...sorry to hear your cycles are messed up. Sorry I can't remember whether you were using opks?
Frer is the first response tests that come in the pink box! They are pricey but good I think.

Hi abi...af not due until Monday! Why am I testing now?! I wish I had your restraint. How are you? Have you had a scan yet?

Sorry dildoos meant to say good luck with your last few days!

AbiBub Wed 28-Aug-13 11:53:45

Hey muzzy! Ahhhhhhh still a little way yet so total hope and fx for when your due to get a bfp instead!! :0) try and hold out if you can, I found that when ttc if I got bfn before or after af was due it still hurt the same amount each time. The kast month I pretty much gave up with temping and cm etc and just happened to get really busy then decided to test a day after af was due. Thats when I was lucky enough to get a bfp. Im feeling meh! Nausea comes and goes, been sick a fair few times, skin looks awful and tiredness is no fun. Anti sicknesses tablets dont work and im food restrictive atm cant have milk at all , miss it so much!! I hope that goes after 1st trimester! ! Yep had dating scan just under a week ago. Dates were spot on! So today im 9+4and have my 12week scan on 16th sept. Nuff aboutme. :0/ how is everyone doing?

NobodyPutsMyBabyInTheCorner Wed 28-Aug-13 12:46:16

Hi Everyone.

Keep hope Muzzy, you never know.

I need to test around the 5th but can probably wait a bit longer if AF hasn't arrived for a mass testing?

GandTnow Wed 28-Aug-13 13:35:34

Ok, so now its time to show just how much of a nut job I'm turning into. Day 16 of cycle ( about 28 day cycle). Feel sick and have a stonking headache, is this just me hoping I'm pregnant or is it possible to feel like poo on stick this soon? Not sure when I ov'd this month, not opk'ing it this month but dtd around supposed fertile 'window'.
Ugh! If I'm not knocked up this is one cruel trick mrs body. Anyone recall how early they felt crap last time? I truly can't remember smile

fedupofrainydays Wed 28-Aug-13 14:20:19

I've got to admit that I feel shit every month now post ov. Particularly this last cycle gone. Was even sick. So I'm not a good person to comment as I have every symptom under the sun then bfn and af sad

muzzy1 Wed 28-Aug-13 14:29:08

i think it might be a little early gand...if you ov mid cycle you may only be about 2dpo. I dont think symptoms really start until implantation begins.
With dd i got my first symptoms at 8dpo.

I think my profile has gone public now if anyone is interested in the pic! Not that i think it matters anymore. I have just been to superdrug (again!) and brought another test for tomorrow but its taking all my will power not to get up from desk and go to the loo and do it now!

Sorry you are feeling so rough abi...reading that makes to remember to enjoy life at the moment before all the sickness begins.

muzzy1 Wed 28-Aug-13 14:32:35

I see it muzzy. There is a line but can see what you mean about thinness. What a bloody head fuck!!

Don't do the test now. Wait til tomorrow's fmu

muzzy1 Wed 28-Aug-13 15:30:41

i know fedup it is thin isnt it....im 95% sure its a false positive...i feel i have done enough of the bloody tests to know and have had this happen before on a clearblue...only then it came up well after the time limit.

misshoohaa Wed 28-Aug-13 17:57:15

Hi everyone just bookmarking! Found u! grin

AbiBub Thu 29-Aug-13 09:04:58

Muzzy saw the pic. It is a thin line and I really hate cb tests, I refuse to use them them now as I have had so many evaporation lines its scary! Such a head f**k for sure! Pink dye tests like superdrug frer and I think there are others about are so much better! :0)

How long are you going to leave it till you test again?

How is everyone else doing? x

KPidgeon Thu 29-Aug-13 09:08:21

oh muzzy what a bummer if it is an evap. Hope you held on til this morning and really hope you get a clearer line..

AF came this morning after being due Sunday. So only 4 days late. Last month was 7 days so I am hoping my body is getting back to normal. Slowly!

Question- if you get a period does that definitely mean that you've properly ovulated? I'm just a bit concerned.

I did OPKs in a half arsed way last month but my mate has given me a huge bagful that she doesn't need now so I will do it properly this month. And just have a lot of sex again (groan!)

I do feel a lot better than I did. I told DH that we will have to adopt at Christmas if my body is still messed up. I'm only half joking.

Hope others feel positive today. x

muzzy1 Thu 29-Aug-13 09:57:23

BFN this morning so def was a evap line! Am never using a clearblue again! I am going to try and wait until af due now -fat chance.

Thanks for all your messages ladies.

k you can still have periods without ovulating. The lining of your womb thickens each month in preparation for Iimplantation and if you're not pregnant it sheds the extra lining as a period.

GandTnow Thu 29-Aug-13 10:24:32

Sorry to hear that muzzy, I'm sure Monday seems ages away. Hope you can plan something at the weekend to keep you busy?

Thanks for all the sane comments about symptom spotting, I've given myself a stern talking to although it has made no difference and decided to stay away from Boots until at least this time next week!

Away for the next few days so hopefully that will stop me dwelling on how loooong this 2ww is.

Hoping to see some bfps on here soon.

fedupofrainydays Thu 29-Aug-13 10:50:09

Sorry to hear that muzzy

I'm emitting dark black chunks on day 5 of af. Totally rank. And not had this before. Kind of glad I have second scan on Monday now to follow up on the mystery 'area' in my uterus. I think it was just a clot that perhaps has come out now but we shall see.

Try do the opks properly next month kp so at least you know! My friend didnt them and never got a positive but pregnant all the same. not at all jealous

2beornot Thu 29-Aug-13 13:06:57

Muzzy - how frustrating!! I'm gonna arm myself with pink dye tests ready for next week.

Fedup - is this sown kind of problem relating to the mc? Hopefully they'll spot it and clear it up. I must be having an effect on ttc.

K how long is it since mc? I wonder if you've got issues following that? Is it worth chatting to docs?

muzzy1 Thu 29-Aug-13 13:33:59

Aaggghhhh ladies I am going out of mind and have no-one in real life to talk to!...so I know I said I would wait until AF after this mornings disappointment but I had one more superdrug test left and I thought I just wanted to get rid of it so I didn't have any more sleepless nights waiting to poas so I just did it and there is a line!!! It's faint but I'm sure it's there! Can I get your opinions if i manage this bloody picture thing again?!

Sorry for the self indulgent post....I will reply to you all once I've stopped sobbing and in control of myself!

KeepTheCarRunning Thu 29-Aug-13 14:26:21

Oh muzzy what a rollarcoaster!! I'm fx for you!
fedup good luck with scan Monday, that sounds awful with af. I really hope it's just a clot.
Af still on here and complemented by a nasty cold ( thanks ds!) so snot and blood fest, yikes...

NobodyPutsMyBabyInTheCorner Thu 29-Aug-13 15:04:18

Muzzy I can definitely see a line!

GandTnow Thu 29-Aug-13 15:25:35

Oh my goodness Muzzy a line! Definitely - go out and get a digital one for the morning. At least then you'll actually get words, bloody lines!! confused

KeepTheCarRunning Thu 29-Aug-13 15:50:01

Muzzy I see it too!

2beornot Thu 29-Aug-13 16:31:49

Muzzy - it's def there, you are not imagining it!! Def get a digital one, but I think you could be the first bfp of thread 3!! Fingers crossed for you x

KPidgeon Thu 29-Aug-13 17:51:25

Muzzy- I see it too. Must be true, surely...! Ohhhhhhh! Hope it's catching!

muzzy1 Thu 29-Aug-13 18:24:27

Aaggghhhhh can't believe it! Just done a first response with diluted wee and def BFP!!!! now just need this little bean to stick!

Liquidambar Thu 29-Aug-13 18:59:04

Massive congratulations muzzy grin

KPidgeon Thu 29-Aug-13 19:11:26

Big congrats Muzzy. Lovely news to hear! x

GandTnow Thu 29-Aug-13 19:11:49

Yey! Best news today, well done Muzzy, so pleased for you! grin flowers

fedupofrainydays Thu 29-Aug-13 19:12:15

Congrats muzzy so pleased for you and not at all jealous grin

BartBaby Thu 29-Aug-13 19:42:30

Yey!!! Congrats muzzy flowers

So pleased you got your bfp!

muzzy1 Thu 29-Aug-13 21:59:51

Thanks ladies for your kind messages. Now the nerve wrecking waiting begins.....and I've not even got to 4 weeks yet!
Good luck to all those poas soon and it's good you have another scan fedup....this might explain why you have been having trouble conceiving since your mmc. Hopefully you can get sone answers soon.

pizzaqueen Thu 29-Aug-13 22:36:50

yey congratulations muzzy! a line is a line!

ditch the dirt - how many dpo? did you do anything different this month? how many cycles of trying?

NobodyPutsMyBabyInTheCorner Thu 29-Aug-13 22:39:46

Congratulations muzzy! How early/ late did you test?

flowers

2beornot Thu 29-Aug-13 22:46:41

Yey!!! I told ya so! Congrats!!! I told you that you can get a BFP this early!!

muzzy1 Fri 30-Aug-13 08:06:53

Thanks ladies. I'm 11 dpo today. Another BFP this morning but its very faint still....fingers crossed this wont be another chemical.

I've been off the pill for a year but actively ttc for 6 months....with dd it took 1 month!
This month we only DTD once on cd16 and I think I ov on cd17. Did 2 things differently - took evening primrose oil and used preseed!

fedupofrainydays Fri 30-Aug-13 08:11:46

An advocate for my less is more theory! I got pregnant twice when only had sex 2 or 3 times that cycle. So why am I doing it 8 times now and getting no where?!
Back to the odd shag I think...

2beornot Fri 30-Aug-13 08:37:23

Well if the less is more theory is correct then I'm on to a winner this month!!!

Has a chat with DH yesterday which helped. It would seem that in my head we've been ttc since jan, but in his it's only been two cycles (due to mmc in the middle). So whilst I'm getting inpatient, he still thinks its early days. It helped to see each other pov. We talked about qhether using OPKs would help (less sex to avoid burn out, but the pressure is on when we do dtd!). I'll decide once AF turns up!

How do the rest if you find using OPKs? Useful or an obsessive pain in the arse?!

fedupofrainydays Fri 30-Aug-13 08:53:26

I use them. Helpful for me as ov does seem to vary and it means I POaS so appeases my addiction. I use the smiley or empty circles ones as less analysing lines or dealing with days of flashing faces. No idea if they are accurate but I'm continuing with them!

BartBaby Fri 30-Aug-13 09:22:53

Glad you have got another bfp muzzy my line started off looking like the one in your pic so fx for you it will be a sticky one.

We also only dtd once at the right time last month so I can also add to the less is more theory.

As for the opk's. I used them and felt very reassured with them as at least then I was convinced I was actually ov. Got a +ve on the exact same day 3 months so it seemed that my body is pretty predictable. The month I fell pg I didn't use them though and it drove me mad wondering if I had even ov or not!

2beornot Fri 30-Aug-13 10:19:08

Which are the brands you used fedup? I'm going to have to cost this up I think!

fedupofrainydays Fri 30-Aug-13 12:18:25

Cb digital from amazon. Pink ones. Not the dual hormone ones. Cost £30 a packet and that does me 2 cycles at least. So about 15 quid a month.

fedupofrainydays Fri 30-Aug-13 12:19:28

And that's sometimes with me testing more than once a day just because....! I like to break the rules

AbiBub Fri 30-Aug-13 16:54:28

Hey ladies!

How is everyone? Congratulations Muzzy on your bfp :0) keeping fx that little bean sticks and all is ok :0)

Fedup, hopefully your scan will go well in Monday and I shall be lurking to see how you got on, hopefully it will clear up a few questions or thoughts you are having atm.

So is there a few if you due and possibly POAS over the weekend/beginning of the week? I shall keep my fx for you all! ! :0) x

threepiecesuite Fri 30-Aug-13 17:40:31

Just popping on to say congrats Muzzy - I feel encouraged by your BFP! Interesting that you say using pre-seed was something different you did. I don't have much CM since having colposcopy/loop excision in May so I've bought some pre-seed ready for next cycle, hoping it might help things out! Into my 18th cycle argh x

onelittlepiglet Fri 30-Aug-13 17:56:07

Congrats muzzy! Lovely news. Hope you are feeling ok.

Not much from me. Cd12, no positive opk yet but think it should be soon - feeling quite in the mood for DTD blush just wish my inlaws weren't here! Have done it once so far but plan to do it tonight hopefully. Not going mad this month, just every other day if possible.

Hope everyone else is all ok.

getagoldtoof Fri 30-Aug-13 20:10:28

Muzzy muzzy muzzy, whoop whoop whoop! Congrats - hope all goes well for you!

How is everyone? I have come back from my camping holiday where af arrived - ergh. No fun at all. Still, at least my cycles are back to normal.

2be, did you go to the aquarium? How was it?

Piglet have you managed to dtd much with inlaws about?

Baby in the corner, my cycles have been a bit odd since ds. How old is your first? I fbreastfed for a long time, too so think that slowed things down a bit!

Fedup you poor thing. Wish I could give you a cuddle - having clots on cd 5 sounds awful. Sounds like you know something isn't quite right. Hope you gets some answers.

Abi, glad to hear scan went well - I wouldbe very surprised if any of us nutters were well out with our dates!

Kpidgeon, do you think you might be having annovulatory cycles, then?

KeepTheCarRunning Fri 30-Aug-13 20:14:50

muzzy!!!!! That's fantastic! Congrats thanks

NobodyPutsMyBabyInTheCorner Fri 30-Aug-13 22:53:43

Toof- she's two next week! I have only recorded them for the past 3 months but wish I did it for longer!

Muzzy- I bought evening primrose oil on your say so wink

KPidgeon Sat 31-Aug-13 09:14:31

geta I hope not, will do opks religiously this month to see where I am. I was 7 days late last month and period was very very painful and this month I was 4 days late and wasn't too bad so I am hoping that it's my body getting back to normal after a late-ish miscarriage in May.

I had some good news yest. A close friend had an awful miscarriage at week 17 (horrible) back in March and has been TTC since. She is now pregnant and I'm thrilled for her. Gave me hope- like you muzzy!. I do hope yours sticks this time. The line would be faint this early on so don't worry about that.

I'm off into town in a minute and thought I might buy some evening primrose too. With the evening primrose- did someone say say you should only take it for the first two weeks? (stop after ovulation)? I think maybe you said that fedup? Just checking!

I'm also stopping the wine/booze totally this month and going caffeine free. Just want to feel like I'm doing something.

Liquidambar Sat 31-Aug-13 09:20:53

good morning ladies. I have a horrible trush sad just what I needed on my two week wait. Went to the local pharmacy and they gave me some cream - canasten. I am having second thoughts on whether I should use it or not... any advice? I guess I'll have to. All my hopes for this month are gone.

muzzy1 Sat 31-Aug-13 09:23:19

Thanks for all the messages!.I just did another test and it was def a BFP but still faint....anyway like you say k it's still early days!im going to try and stop doing them now as its just going to stress me out and all i need to do is wait!

It was me about the evening primrose oil....only take from AF to ovulation each month. It's not good to take when pregnant.
Hope it helps you nobody.

muzzy1 Sat 31-Aug-13 09:28:09

Sorry liquid I cross posted. I don't know about canasten...hopefully someone else may know more. Don't let it get your hopes down.

KPidgeon Sat 31-Aug-13 20:47:22

I think I read that the topical and the pessary are fine but not the tablet liquid but do check. Poor you- could it be a symptom of TTC? I had a urine infection and I know fedup did too. Hope you feel better very soon.

Today I stocked up on conception vits, evening primrose oil capsules and pumpkin seeds for DH to bunch on (zinc!) Still got AF here but will start on the OPKs Monday I think.

Hope people are having a good Saturday night.

fedupofrainydays Sun 01-Sep-13 08:06:56

I think Canesron cream is prob ok liquid. If worried and still itchy try naturel yoghurt - gross but supposed to work!! And won't go too far up to affect anything. Don't use soaps or bubble baths just wash with pure water and wear cotton pants. Take probiotics and it should clear up naturally. It's so horrible.

Ok so pos opk on cd 8. Too early for egg to have matured right? Thought it was coming though as loads of ewcm on cd 6. Forgot to opk yesterday so don't know if would have been pos then too. Bit upset about it all to be honest as a) too early and b) means will get af earlier into my two weeks hol c) means I'm too late in my cycle again for scan on Monday. Ugh.

Liquidambar Sun 01-Sep-13 08:17:35

thanks ladies. I've tried the cream yesterday and I'm slightly better but I will need another dose as I'm still uncomfortable and have a 3 hour flight back home this afternoon.

it seems a short cycle fedup. is your scan tomorrow? perhaps they will be able to see your ovaries and tell you if they can see any mature eggs.

fedupofrainydays Sun 01-Sep-13 09:10:18

Yeah it's tomorrow. They wanted me to come earlier in cycle though and now with this early ov it will be exactly same point! Stupid booking system meant i couldn't get cd 5.

2beornot Sun 01-Sep-13 20:09:49

Hi ladies!

Had a wonderful weekend (on my way back from the north London derby grin

Hope you're all good and muzzy's BFP is staying for good!

fedup can you go anyway just in case OPKs are wrong? That really sucks.

liquidambar hope the thrush clears up soon. It's so horrible, isn't it?!

Is everyone else taking folic acid? I've just realised I haven't been since mmc! I must start agian. Luckily I've got quite a few left from the prescription gp wrote last time (5mg coz I'm a fatty!).

It's quite refreshing not thinking I'm pregnant! I haven't been tempted to POAS at all yet - def going to hold out for the mass POAS on Fri!

fedupofrainydays Sun 01-Sep-13 22:14:14

Glad you had a good weekend 2be

Yeah am going anyway. Will miss next cycle cos on hols so just going to go. There was an 'area' they weren't sure what it was in uterus so I want to see of that's gone / grown/ whatever. I'm still a bit worried its left over stuff from mc but will see.

Shellster52 Mon 02-Sep-13 04:33:23

Hello all

Just read the title of this thread and it suits me to a T... ttc no 2 and yep I am a nutjob from the whole thing. I am awaiting a drs appointment for a blood result in 4 hours time to see if my cycle is back to normal and I can start IVF again and hopefully have my little baby growing within me in just over two weeks time or if I have another cyst and I have to wait a few more cycles. So I am on a knifes edge waiting and thought I might chat here to keep me sane in the meantime.

2beornot Mon 02-Sep-13 07:09:42

Hi shellster

How old is you dc?

Yep we're all nutjobs here - it's crazy how obsessive it gets, isn't it?!

I really hope that you blood tests come back positive - would it really then only be two weeks? That's be amazing!!

GandTnow Mon 02-Sep-13 08:45:57

Hi everyone, back from a weekend away. Going mad symptom spotting, but no sore boobs so convinced myself all the rest is in my head. Not sure I'm gonna be able to hold out until Friday to poas!

Af due on Monday so I thinking maybe Thursday? Or is that too early?

GandTnow Mon 02-Sep-13 08:48:26

Liquid Hope you're feeling better, I think the cream is fine to use.

2be Glad you had a good weekend, looking forward to the end of this week to see how many bfps we can get! smile

Liquidambar Mon 02-Sep-13 11:47:38

hi ladies. I'm feeling better thanks. I used the yogurt and I think it helped.
fedup and shell good luck for today.

gandtnow and 2be I think af is due ob Monday or Tuesday as well. Friday might be a bit early if it's Tuesday but I'm happy to do it wink

fedupofrainydays Mon 02-Sep-13 11:57:37

Glad the yoghurt helped liquid
Welcome shell and hope tests are all ok.

So scan was fine. Weird 'area' has gone so assumed it was just a clot in the uterus. She said it is likely I've ovulated already (I'm cd 9) as there is fluid in pelvis area and no sign of matured follicles. I was a bit concerned that she couldn't see one that had burst already tho as think they could on last scan. Bit disappoint and think cd 7/8 is a bit stupidly early for ovulation and counting myself out already this month. Adamant I'm not going to waste my life symptom spotting and testingn early as had false pos last month and had all symptoms under the sun. BUT I have my holiday on Saturday to look forwards too and even though I will be getting out the tampax half way through it I cannot wait for a break!!!

2beornot Mon 02-Sep-13 12:31:48

Fedup - is that good news?! I guess it is because the weird area has gone. But not good that you're counting yourself out already (although I've done that this month and you kind of get your own life back for a month!).

Is there a 'rule' that's says you've should ov on certain days? I knew lp has to be over 10 days but not sure about no of days pre pv

getagoldtoof Mon 02-Sep-13 12:56:30

Aww, fedup, I'd hoped you'd get some helpful advice? Do you think your go might agree to look at your hormones, sounds a bit like you're out of whack, ov is really quite early, isn't it?

Well I'm very excited about the mass poas on friday. I am cd 7, so will start opks then in solidarity. They are left over frm dc 1, as they go out of date next month must be used! (and opks give me something to obsess over).

Glad to hear your thrush is on the way out, liquid. I've got terrible piles sad so I'm feeling rather sorry for myself.

G&t - thursday prob is too early, but as you're a ttc nutter I'd say it's just fine!

Shellster, gosh your ttc sounds dramatic. Massively hopeful for you.

Fingers crossed for you 2be!

Kpidg, when do you think you'll ov?

KPidgeon Mon 02-Sep-13 13:13:40

geta not really sure as cycles have been longer than I expected. I still have AF. Day 14 for me would be next Weds but ovulation might be later than that..so I think we will start DTDing on Thursday this wk every other day then until next week with a little burst of activity mid week! (This is me being very optimistic!)
I'm doing the OPKs now but the FMU is difficult for me as I wee a lot in the night! So am doing once morning time and once evening. Hope that will catch it.

Have been wine free for 5 days and cutting down on caffeine for 7 days. This morning was my first day with NO caffeine and I have a headache and feel all out of sorts. Definitely withdrawal!

I've also been carrying a moonstone around with me. Probably total hocum but can't do any harm!

fedupofrainydays Mon 02-Sep-13 14:19:25

Thanks ladies. I don't know if its good news. I guess it is that my uterus now looks normal but yes am worried about this early ov business. And if by fluke I did get a bfp this cycle I would be stressing no end re miscarriage because egg wasn't mature enough. I'm not sure there is a rule but I have read ov before cd 10 isn't ideal because eggs are less likely to have matured properly or your lining is too thin for implantation sad

I've done bloods for ov last cycle but just the 7 days before af one, not the early in cycle ones... Will be phoning up about those this pm.

Wow kp am impressed on the wine and caffeine front. Good going!

Looking forward to Friday and POAS day - it would be nice to go on holiday with some more good news from this thread... Hope more of you are having a better cycle than me! My boobs are killing me (this is a sign I've ovulated for me, not preggo) so trying not to jiggle about too much.

onelittlepiglet Mon 02-Sep-13 14:40:56

Hi everyone.

Fedup - glad the scan went ok and there is nothing that they are concerned about. The early ovulation might just happen to be this month? Maybe it's a one off - it would be typical as it is the cycle you get scanned! Hope you enjoy your holiday and have a bit of break (despite AF possibly turning up halfway through!).

I'm in agony with cramping today - no positive opk yet so I've either missed my surge or didn't have one! Think it must be ovulation but no idea. Only DTD twice in the last 5/6 days so pretty sure that's it for me this month. sad

fedupofrainydays Mon 02-Sep-13 14:48:28

I just phoned up about my progesterone test that is normal so at least I'm ovulating / releasing an egg. Even if it is silly early. Hoping this is a one off cycle tho (had a ov on cd 9 couple of months ago) and I get back to cd 12.

one what cd are you? The month I was preggers with ds I had awful cramps 6 days before af... Realised this was most prob implantation. You prob missed the surge... This happened to my friend and she found out she was pregnant!!

onelittlepiglet Mon 02-Sep-13 15:43:02

Ahh just got a positive opk so looks Ike I'm about to ovulate. The pains must be a sign for me that it's about to happen rather than is actually is at this moment. Right well got to DTD tonight then!

Fedup - I'm on cd15 and ovulated cd16 last month so the timing fits - just couldn't understand why I wasn't getting positive opks! Phew - getting one makes me feel better like something is working (even if it isn't!).

muzzy1 Mon 02-Sep-13 16:43:35

glad your scan went well fedup. And good your pros levels are as they should be. That must be a relief. Maybe now whatever was there has gone it will be your month!
Good luck to all those POAS on Friday and def DTD tonight one.

Im having a nervous breakdown at my desk as been having cramps on and off all day and keep running to the loo expecting af.

pizzaqueen Mon 02-Sep-13 17:40:43

fedup glad the test went well hooefully that'll remove some stress for you.

Can't namecheck everyone as I'm on my phone but hope you are all doing ok.

Cd 21 for me and im having cramps. Bit early for af. But don't think it's implantation either as I just don't have a lucky feeling about this cycle. Been much less of an obsessive nutjob this one though.

fedupofrainydays Mon 02-Sep-13 17:54:49

Driving me nutty (no suprises there) as sonographer said I had probably ovulated due to free fluid but when I asked of she could see ruptured follicle she said no. So now I'm thinking it was one of those no ovulation cycles and just so happens the last cycle was when I had my bloods done, before this freaky short one. Bleurgh, this is all such a head fuck!!

fedupofrainydays Mon 02-Sep-13 17:55:32

I should have added that free fluid can appear at any time in cycle so not necc ov related...

getagoldtoof Mon 02-Sep-13 22:13:07

Argh, this whole ttc business is a massive headfuck. Sorry fedup, I wish I had a medical degree with a specialism in reproductive health - and I could dole out the answers to all my lovely nutter pals on this thread.

Pizza, how did you manage to keep calm about it all? Was there any particular reason? I am feeling a bit calmer after deciding a small-ish age gap isn't the be all and end all.

Muzzy, I remember that feeling well. Being scared to go to the loo etc, I hope it sticks and you're on your way to dc 2.

fedupofrainydays Tue 03-Sep-13 08:04:39

Thanks geta. Just keep thinking of all the things I should have asked at scan. As its not every day you have an opportunity to check your innards out.

DH told me off last night for being negative and miserable. He says I'm so miserable at the mo and pessimistic about the whole ttc thing. I explained when your body goes through this shit every month it's so so tough.

Trying to snap out of it.. And look forward to my hols accepting af will arrive. I'm not bothering to take a preggo test as know there's no point. And will be stressing myself out when to PO my only S.

pizzaqueen Tue 03-Sep-13 08:32:16

getagoldtoof I wouldn't describe my self as calm just slightly further down the nutjob scale.
I think because last cycle was my first after mc I just expected to get pg and we tired really hard on that cycle everyday. It kind of made me realise it might take a while and we haven't tried as hard this month so thinking it's not our month anyway. Cd 22 though so maybe the crazy symtom spotting will start soon.

Going on holiday next week too fedup and af due right in the middle angry . I'm not going to take any tests with me so if I'm late i'll need to wait to poas and saves the temptation to poas early.

Liquidambar Tue 03-Sep-13 10:34:28

fedup I hope you are feeling okay after talking to your DH. Men can be a bit insensitive sometimes, although they are trying to help they not always choose the best words.

pizza keep positive. It might be implantation. Fingers crossed!

one glad you had a positive opk and I hope you managed dtd last night and the swimmers are on their way wink

I have realised I don't have any tests at home. Which one do you recommend, if we poas on Friday?

Liquidambar Tue 03-Sep-13 10:47:57

Apologies if you have already seen this page , but I really like it. It makes me feel better about my poas addiction grin

GandTnow Tue 03-Sep-13 12:38:00

I just happened to drive to past Boots today wink and got an early results first response - there were three in the pack instead of two - I think these ones are good and of course you can test early. Trying very hard not to take off the wrapper and start peeing away!

Think it might still be too early anyway...... humph.

GandTnow Tue 03-Sep-13 12:44:39

Liquid grin I haven't seen this before, made me smile! We are certainly not alone!

2beornot Tue 03-Sep-13 14:46:48

OMG Liquid!! My name is 2be and I'm a peestickaholic!

Are you a Peestickaholic?

Know the warning signs.
Do you need an "eyeopener" - do you pee on a stick first thing in the morning?

Do you pee on sticks alone? Yes!

Do you have a stash of peesticks in your house that no one
knows about? Yes!

Has peeing on a stick ever interfered with your work or social life? Yes!

Have you ever lied about the number of peesticks you've used? Yes!

Do you often find yourself saying "just one more..." when faced with a BFN?Yes!

Do you seek out more and more sensitive peesticks, in an
attempt to get that second line?

Have you ever peed on a stick at work?Yes!

Does the pharmacist know you by name and gets down "your brand" before you even belly up to the counter?

Do you shop at multiple pharmacies or online so no one knows how many peesticks you are buying?Yes!

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may be a peestickaholic. We don't have meetings, or any real medical advice for you... but we think you'll enjoy your stay at Peestick Paradise! Have fun!

2beornot Tue 03-Sep-13 14:52:21

I've got a crappy sains one indoors, but I might pop out and get a first response over lunch on thurs (btw by "pop out" I mean a round trip of 13miles!)

I'm finding it hard to hold on though - I fear I may crack before then. I'm somewhere between 7 and 10 dpo atm.

GandTnow Tue 03-Sep-13 15:02:10

I hear you 2be, feeling very negative today and fancy poas just to see, but I think I'm only about 7dpo. Having terrible cramps today and feeling sick and tearful, but pretty sure its all in my head.
Roll on Friday.

If you poas early you have to tell me, I'm ready to rock, but don't want to crack too soon smile

Liquidambar Tue 03-Sep-13 15:30:41

GandTnow and 2be I am completely exhausted today for no apparent reason - but I can't stop thinking it could be an early sign. I am about 9 ou 10 days dpo, so implantation was either yesterday or today.

I went to sainsbury's and stopped at the family planning section. Thank god they only had expensive tests, so I decided to wait until Thursday when I am back at work and can stop at boots.

Lets wait until friday, ladies! We can do it wink

fedupofrainydays Tue 03-Sep-13 17:35:03

I would add to the peestickaholic "do you regularly take the sticks apart to further analyse / squint / imagine that the bfn is actually and bfp?"

"Do you hide the evidence of your addiction - ie bury them in the bin?"

I was more "yeses" so perhaps I should join!!

2beornot Tue 03-Sep-13 18:23:29

Fedup-I am now addicted to that site. Just as I has gotten over my addiction to countdown to pregnancy!!

fedupofrainydays Tue 03-Sep-13 22:25:58

Oh I love that site too. Spent many a hour looking at symptoms and people's stick results at each dpo. This month I am too busy with work this week and the holiday so am having a break!! The surprise early ovulation has thrown me too so am not ready for symptoms spotting as shouldn't have ov'd yet according to my plan!!

KeepTheCarRunning Wed 04-Sep-13 07:41:40

Hi everyone smile work got in the way of MN...fedup i'm glad the scan went well as in not showing anything of concern, but sorry about early ov. Surely it's just a one-off? A few cycles ago, everything was gearing up to ov, temps, cm etc, and then nothing. Then five days later, ov started again, so odd...
Anyway, it's day 11 here, so tonight is the official start of the shagaton for cycle 9 (or ten? I forgot...). We'll dtd everyday from now til after ov grin

onelittlepiglet Wed 04-Sep-13 12:19:52

Hi everyone

Very confused about my chart this month (after saying I wasn't going to temp...got sucked into it again...)
Got positive opks on Monday and Tuesday and felt ovulation pains etc. but ff has put my ovulation day on Sunday going by a temp rise. This is so frustrating - how can i get my first positive opk after I ovulate? is this even possible? Am I even ovulating?!

I'm also annoyed because it means that we only DTD once, two days before I ovulated and then once the day after (which is probably too late). Gah!

Well looks like I'm out again this month. Just can't seem to time any of it right to give ourselves a chance. So fed up with my stupid body and how I just can't seem to get a handle on what it is doing.

KeepTheCarRunning Wed 04-Sep-13 12:35:06

Hi one that's odd... I wouldn't think you could get a pos opk after ov, but then I've quit the opks because they made me totally anxious. Was there anything special about Sunday? I'm thinking waking later/earlier than normally? Interrupted sleep? Stress? Booze? Different room temperature? How were your temps monday and tuesday? And what about cm? I find that can give me a clue if my temps are playing up which they sometimes do, for no apparent reason. i so hope it's just a random temp fluke and fx that you're still in the running!

onelittlepiglet Wed 04-Sep-13 13:35:29

Thanks keepthecarrunning - I always have interrupted sleep so to be honest maybe I shouldn't temp! The rise on Monday was so big that it can't really be ignored. Plus my temps yesterday and today have been similar to the higher temp so it looks right if you know what I mean. But all my other signs (cm, feelings, opks etc) suggest I actually ovulated Monday or Tuesday but I had no temp rise....

So confused and fed up! I've been reading taking charged your fertility and it all seems so clear and easy the way she describes it - take your temp and a pattern wil emerge etc. but every month my chart leaves me confused and not sure what is happening!

No idea if I'm just not actually ovulating at all. In 5 months it will have been over a year of trying so I can go for tests...

getagoldtoof Wed 04-Sep-13 14:00:16

Hey one - if you want to link to your chart I could have a
look? I am no expert but been charting for a while.

Thanks for the sites guys, I am becoming a bit more nutter-ey as I come up to ov and ththey're giving me something to focus on.

2be and g&t - you're being very disciplined! I'm impressed.

Keep the car, I'm day 9 - so will start the sex stuff tomorrow. We will be poas at the same time..!

I'm not really in the mood for sex as I had a huge row with dh as he bought something we agreed he wouldn't now we're very short for money this month. As we're ttc I will try to get into the swing of it, maybe we'll have good make up sex, but I just want to fuck it all off today.

KeepTheCarRunning Wed 04-Sep-13 14:43:14

that is strange one, the charting business can really leave you stumped sometimes... Temps should be a better predictor than cm, I think, but it's hard to tell the effect of interrupted sleep - I get that too. But if you managed to dtd 2 days before Sunday and 1 day after, it's not too bad, I suppose? DS was a one shot deal.
Although I totally get your frustration - it is so hard month after month. sad I'm beginning to suspect I have implantation issues, but don't know how to solve that one...

getagold Yes, POAS buddies! I reckon I'll be testing sometime around the 23rd, that seems ages away now...

onelittlepiglet Wed 04-Sep-13 15:12:23

here is my chart

I hope...

If anyone can help that would be great, but despite all my other symptoms it looks very likely I ovulated on Sunday! Does anyone else get their ovulation symptoms after they ovulate?

Thanks for all your help smile

AbiBub Wed 04-Sep-13 15:20:35

Hey ladies! Hows it all going? Fed up glad your scan didn't show anything sinister! Let's hope the early ov this month was just a one off!

So theres a few of you poas friday then. I shall keep a lurking to see how you're all doing!

So all poas, waiting for af to disappear and waiting for ov I shall keep my fx for you!

Muzzy, how are you feeling now? Hopefully a bit more relaxed.

Big hugz ladies.x

KeepTheCarRunning Wed 04-Sep-13 15:50:30

one it would appear that ov was Sunday but I would give it a few more days tbh. There's no report on cm or cervical position today, so I don't know about that. But just to give you an example of one of my charts: I had dropping temps and ewcm, so fully expected ov, then temps went a bit up (think 0.2) and stayed flat for a few days but I hadn't ov'ed. Ov only came the day after with a marked shift where temps stayed much higher.
What I trying to say is that it may be too early to tell, give it two days and then hopefully ft will give a firmer answer. I know it's really annoying though..

KeepTheCarRunning Wed 04-Sep-13 15:52:59

just to correct my earlier post: you have added dry cm for today, yes? that would worry me, sorry sad

KPidgeon Wed 04-Sep-13 15:57:47

Hi ladies.. Been catching up on your posts. Fingers crossed for those of you waiting to POAS this weekend.
Fedup hope you're okay and hope you can forget your worries and have a lovely holiday.

AF now gone but brother staying over tonight so we're back DTDing as from tomorrow!

The caffeine withdrawal symptoms have gone now thank God! They were horrid. Hope all that was worth it...

fedupofrainydays Wed 04-Sep-13 17:13:29

I've totally increased my caffiene last few days - whoops! What's the deal with caffeine anyway - ie how does it no help fertility. I thought it meant ov was delayed but I clearly don't have that prob (although as some of you suggest I am sticking with the opks and cm checks - I don't temp - to see what happens) i think it had happened to be honest as sonographer saw free fluid and no mature follicles ready to ov. So it was either early ov or annovulatory cycle if that makes sense.

one that all does sound confusing and I really don't think you can get a lh surge after you ov. Doesn't make sense!! Could wee have been too diluted to get pos opk on Sunday? Or... Temp rise could indeed be affected by something else. It's why I don't do it cos I'm such a erratic sleeper. Although my mum keeps telling me if I stick a thermometer up my fanny all will be fine. Not the best convo to have with your mum blush

Good luck geta and car with dtd. And hope you make up with DH geta. It's usually me in trouble for spending in our house blush but not anything we agreed not too I suppose so I can see why you are angry with him.

Can't wait to hear this weekends POAS outcomes!! Fx!!

Liquidambar Wed 04-Sep-13 20:32:01

one I'm sorry, but I do not have any advice. But if you dtd before and once after you still have good chances.

geta good luck with your DH. Make up sex can be fun

Keepthecar Good luck for tonight the following days

fedup and KP I miss so much my coffees. I only have one first thing in the morning and it's after lunch that I miss it the most. The headaches are now gone, but it was a difficult phase.

Nothing to report here. No symptoms apart from fatigue. I am back at work tomorrow and already missing my DS.

fedupofrainydays Wed 04-Sep-13 20:56:44

Yikes. Just been reading about the caffeine. Shit. Been having 3 a day in the last week. Norm but one or maybe two. Hopefully I've not done any damage and will endeavour to cut back down to one. I love coffee.

pizzaqueen Wed 04-Sep-13 21:34:21

what's the deal with caffine could google but can't be arsed apart from it just generally being bad and unhealthy? I dont drink much coffee but am a bit of a pepsi max addict and odd energy drink too...eek!

cd23 (or is it 24?) here nothing to report.

Liquidambar Wed 04-Sep-13 21:57:19

muzzy how have you been?

fedupofrainydays Wed 04-Sep-13 22:04:59

I read it can increase oestrogen and stops the Fallopian tubes contracting properly. No concrete evidence but they do say to cut down JIC.

I think I'm cutting back again...
Although both times I conceived before I'm pretty sure I was on a diet of caffeine and booze..

fedupofrainydays Wed 04-Sep-13 22:51:32

Ps. Are you doing ok muzzy?

fedupofrainydays Thu 05-Sep-13 06:19:11

And dildoos how's the new job?! Hope all is going well

muzzy1 Thu 05-Sep-13 07:38:45

Hi
Nearly poas day ladies! Anyone thinking its their month?
That is strange about your chart one. I don't know much about temping but think it would be very strange to get a surge after ovulation. You still have a chance DTD once though...that was all it took us last month.

fedup that is an early ov...hopefully just a one off though...are you still using opks just in case?

Did you choose your stick yet liquid? Having tried ALL brands my favourite is super-drug ones. I've never got a smidge of a line if its a negative and they are really sensitive...and cheap!

Waves to everyone else and good luck.

I am doing ok thanks and feeling a bit more relaxed after last weeks rollercoaster! Have a strong line now so have stopped testing and now just waiting. Am planning a private scan at 8 weeks if all goes well as I can't wait until 12!

AbiBub Thu 05-Sep-13 07:56:30

Hey ladies!

There's s few of you due to POAS tomorrow isnt there?

Muzzy glad you are doing better this week. How many weeks are you? Stronger line yayh! I preferred the superdrug ones too. :0)

muzzy1 Thu 05-Sep-13 08:13:38

Hey abi I am not even 5 weeks yet! My bfp was so early time is really dragging......
What about you?

KPidgeon Thu 05-Sep-13 09:05:31

I don't think caffeine makes much difference at all to conception. I'm just desperate to "do" something and so thought caffeine could go. Obviously it's not good in pregnancy so thought I'd stop now.

I've read that alcohol is more of an issue for men with conception but thought just making my DH stop whilst I keep quaffing red wine wouldn't go down well so we both stopped.

Again- not sure it will help at all as when we conceived DS we were on honeymoon in Paris- lots of strong coffee and plenty of booze! But I just want to feel I'm doing something really. And now I've stopped coffee and gone through a few days of horrid withdrawal I don't think I can go back!

muzzy glad you've got a stronger line.

We are due to start trying today but only every other day for now as due to Ovulate Weds next week. Though as my cycles have been later I guess ovulation might well be do. Back on the OPKs so hopefully I will have an idea this month of where I am.

fedupofrainydays Thu 05-Sep-13 09:29:06

I'm really impressed kp. Really I am. Booze and coffee get me through life! Obviously I've given up before when pregnant but was helped by the fact I couldn't stand either!! And yes it's true about it affecting men more than woman. Keep it up and I'm sure you will see benefits!

Glad all ok muzzy and abi and hope rest of the scary 12 weeks pasts quickly for you both.
I so long to be in your shoes too <sigh> please may it be me soon too!!!

2beornot Thu 05-Sep-13 09:30:53

POAS day is tomorrow!!!

I love how the past two weeks I've been saying that its not my month, but yet this morning I've been symptom spotting!!

It started with me googling back pain because I've noticed it has ached pretty much every day. Surprise surprise it can be a sign. As can frequent weeing (had to get up first thing yest to pee and have noticed I've been going more at work). Then fatigue (I could barely keep my eyes open when putting dd2 to bed yest and v nearly had a nap). All of which can be explained by lots of other reasons, but I'm starting to hope!!! Crazy!!

Def going to get a first response at lunch today - unfortunately there's not a SuperDrug near enough!

getagoldtoof Thu 05-Sep-13 09:33:40

I agree one, you need to wait a few more days. Sunday looks likely, particularly with ewcm and rise. What time of day do you opk? P.s. that May chart would have sent me loopy with 7dpo temp dip! I overanalyse my chart!

Keepthecar, yes, I'm due 24th. Although I promise I am a loyal nutter, I am not sure I can actually bring myself to poas. Last time I did poas - my bfp got lighter each time. I don't think I would trust a bfp, which makes me sad.

Liquid - how old is ds? Returning to work is horrid. I've had pretty much 3 weeks off and am going back tomorrow. I desperately don't want to go.

KP, good work on caffiene reduction. Have you substituted it for decaf?

Ha ha fedup, I love your mum's obsession with sticking a thermometer up your fanny being the only way to ttc. Hilarious.

I have made up with dh who was very apologetic. We had sex this evening, now we've just got to keep it up for another week or so!

2beornot Thu 05-Sep-13 09:34:05

MuzZy - good luck. That's the only problem with being a nutjob- you find out far too soon. I'd live to be one of this people who get to 8 weeks plus before they realise, but that's not going to happen!! I'm with you on the early scan too - and I know that's not just our nuttiness because DH agrees!!

getagoldtoof Thu 05-Sep-13 09:36:20

Ooh 2be - that sounds very promising...!

getagoldtoof Thu 05-Sep-13 09:38:08

I know, I wish I'd never tested early last time. It can hold so much trepidation, even if good news. However, I'm imagining pregnancy with a second child would go quicker as you've got your first keeping you busy (hopeful thinking!).

GandTnow Thu 05-Sep-13 09:41:56

Glad I'm not alone in the symptom spotting 2be. I've got myself convinced that this is it. Not going to be able to wait until tomorrow. Feeling sick, tired and craving a lot of carbs, I think my jeans are a little tight too and uncomfortable with cramping - although this could be due to all the carbs blush!
Also going to test later (when DD1 is out!)

2beornot Thu 05-Sep-13 09:55:13

Getagold - good work! It reminds me of friends when chandler refuses to dtd because they are arguing so
Monica pretends to make up with him and starts the argument again!!!

Fedup - I've cut down a bit on caffeine but then I don't drink a lot anyway. I haven't read anywhere that you should but I think aiming for general healthiness is a good thing (says little miss comfort eater here!)

2beornot Thu 05-Sep-13 09:57:00

GandT - good luck if you do do it early. I'm going to hold
Out for fmu tomorrow because I'm not as far along as you.

Although if they only sell then in twin packs..........

fedupofrainydays Thu 05-Sep-13 10:19:35

Ooooh G&T I can wait to see your POAS results!!

Liquidambar Thu 05-Sep-13 12:31:01

oh my god! super excited about your poas gandtnow. grin
I'm on my way to buy the super drug test.
I think dh would be upset if I tested at work. 2be I will test tomorrow morningsmile

GandTnow Thu 05-Sep-13 13:37:03

Ok, so I tested just a while back and there was a veeerrrry faint line with a frer!

I can't quite believe it! I'm clearly now going to have to keep testing until AF is meant to turn up.

Liquidambar Thu 05-Sep-13 13:43:05

congratulations gandtnow grin Horray! !!! fantastic news

2beornot Thu 05-Sep-13 13:57:25

Wow!!! How many dpo are you? Def test again in the morning!!!

Congrats!!!

KeepTheCarRunning Thu 05-Sep-13 14:27:47

GandT wooooow!!! that's fantastic!

GandTnow Thu 05-Sep-13 15:58:19

Thanks guys, I think I'm about 9 or 10 dpo. It's still sinking in. Hoping that there will soon be some more bfps on here. Come on!

muzzy1 Thu 05-Sep-13 20:04:33

Yey! Congratulations gand. Hope this is a run of BFP!

fedupofrainydays Thu 05-Sep-13 20:04:41

Yay! Congrats g&t

How many cycles is this ttc # 2 for you, I can't remember!!

fedupofrainydays Thu 05-Sep-13 21:17:28

I only had two coffees today despite having enough work and stress on to make my head explode and need caffeine to get through it. Surely that deserves a bfp?? Fed up is rather fed up and ready for her holidays despite af coming with it

CourgetteSmuggler Thu 05-Sep-13 21:20:14

Hi everyone in TTC no 2- not alone obviously.

I've got 34 day cycles and today is 31. I tested 10 dpo and got a BFN so not holding out hope for this month.

Silly question but is it harder TTC with longer cycles. I was 28 days pre DD.

50opks and 25hpts on order from EBay!

getagoldtoof Thu 05-Sep-13 23:03:35

Oh, really g&t!? Wowee, early congrats. Massively hoping that line gets big and juicy! Those frers are too good.

So tomorrow is the mass poas - I'm peeing on an opk right alongside you guys. I will be on a train, but want to catch that pm wee that will give me an idea of when to expect ov, I think Monday.

Hey courgette - welcome! Do you know when you ovulated?

Fedup, with everything you've been through you 100% deserve a bfp, especially with that mean line last month.

Liquid and 2be, I'm crossing fingers here for tomorrow. Pee, pee, pee and let it be a bfp!

fedupofrainydays Fri 06-Sep-13 06:32:06

Hi courgette how old is Dd? I had a smear test yesterday and the nurse kindly told me that my cycles erpc could still be messed up from ds 1 (who is almost 2) never mind my mc in between! I don't think longer cycles make a difference it just means you have to wait a bit longer each month. I've got short cycles and its done me no favours whatsoever!

Thanks geta not at all hopeful this month tho cos of the early ov situ and kind of resigned to the fact I'm not going to be pregnant any time soon. Partic as been checked out and nothing is obvs wrong, which I know is a weird thing to say but I just feel it.

So.. Who is POAS today? If I can't get a bfp then I'm going to get excited for those of you on this thread who can!! Good luck xx

And POAS on a train?! Now that's dedication to the cause as train toilets are vile! Plus I've opened those electric door ones on Virgin trains too many times on men taking a dump!! Why don't they lock the door?!

2beornot Fri 06-Sep-13 07:19:15

I'm POAS today. But I'm still in bed, almost scared up do it coz I know what it'll be (BFN). Why is this so heartbreaking?

2beornot Fri 06-Sep-13 07:36:05

As I thought sad

fedupofrainydays Fri 06-Sep-13 07:40:19

Hugs 2be. Aren't you still a bit early? But I so know how you feel. It's heartbreaking. Xx

Liquidambar Fri 06-Sep-13 07:40:26

morning. BFN this morning with first response and super drug. got am evaporation line with super drug - I made the mistake to look an hour later. it was a faint pink line that is why I tested again with first response but it just confirmed my bfn
in the middle of this got a text from a very good friend saying she's 12 weeks after ivf. very happy for her but couldn't stop crying... I'm so ridiculous! angry

Liquidambar Fri 06-Sep-13 07:44:45

sorry 2be (hugs)
are you going to test again on Monday or will you wait for af?

pizzaqueen Fri 06-Sep-13 07:57:17

sorry for those who got bfn sad

i think i was meant to be in on the syncro pee but I'm not due af until wed and willl be on holiday and not taking not taking pee sticks with me so if I'm late i'll poas next weekend. Only about 7-8dpo today anyway. dont have a good feeling about this cycle anyway.

good luck to those still to poas today.

getagoldtoof Fri 06-Sep-13 08:04:35

Oh liquid and 2be, I'm sorry. However, as you know - it's not over yet as you could be too early. And liquid, sorry about the evap, that's just heartbreaking.

Pizza - your plan sounds good.

Liquid - I think that's normal. We all feel happy for our friends and sad for ourselves- more so the longer we wait. I remember when my 20 (then) yr old sister rang me to say she was accidently pregnant and didn't know how to tell mum. She didn't know we'd been trying for a year at that point. I could barely stop myself from sobbing and it was incredibly difficult. I cried a river when I got off the phone. Sounds like your friend has been waiting and wishing for this, though, so of course you're really pleased for her at the same time.

getagoldtoof Fri 06-Sep-13 08:07:03

Oh and I've decided a bit of noel edmunds cosmic ordering is in order this month. Will be asking the universe for a baby. I'll let you know how it goes as I am not vaguely 'woo' and think it might not work for all of this fertility stuff (if at all!).

KPidgeon Fri 06-Sep-13 08:18:05

geta that's funny! Please let us know how it goes.

gandt oooooh! Hope you get s strong line this morning. And I hope it's catching!

Sorry 2be and liquid it's so sad every month that it doesn't happen. This and AF are the low moments but you will feel better again when you can try again. You will get your babies. x

fedup when are you off on your hols? Are you going somewhere sunny?

How is everyone else?

Was too tired and hot to DTD last night. Read something on stupid facebook about my friends being able to do baby groups together again next year with their new babes so that set me off. ARrrggghhh!

So tonight's the night!

muzzy1 Fri 06-Sep-13 08:46:37

Sorry about the bfn this morning. How many dpo are you both?

2beornot Fri 06-Sep-13 08:49:36

Liquid - sorry you got a bfn too. Yep think ill check again mon if AF not here. Really not expecting a BFP though. How about you? Do you feel like it might have happened? When is AF due?

Yes poss a little early still, but at worst 10dpo which apparently means if I'm preg it's 75% chance id get a BFP. I think if AF hasn't arrived by Mon i'll check again.

I'm annoyed at myself for getting my hopes up though because if you read my posts from a week ago I had a feeling it wasn't going to be my month and was kind of ok with that.

And am a little upset with DH because he knew I was testing first thing (I was explaining fmu to him!) but didn't ask. Prob because its not the first thing he thought of when he first woke which shows how different we are.

All in all feeling pretty sorry for myself.

Liquidambar Fri 06-Sep-13 08:57:46

thanks ladies.
I'm also 11 or 12 dpo.
I don't think I will test again. AF is due on Monday or Tuesday. I thought I would test again on Monday but it's very heartbreaking to see a a negative result so I don't think I will.

GandTnow Fri 06-Sep-13 09:07:44

So sorry to hear about the bfns. Hopefully there will be some changes over the weekend and on Monday.
Had another faint line this morning - still 4 days early, I'm now worrying because it hasn't got any stronger, but keep telling myself a line is a line.

Away most of next week so glad I found out at home to give me time to process.

muzzy1 Fri 06-Sep-13 09:16:38

It is such a an awful feeling 2be and liquid. I really hope you still have a chance. My DH would be the same 2be....he doesn't have a clue most of the time!

Don't worry gand...I was worried as my line was similar for a couple of days...now it's darker than the control line! I think the levels only increase every 48hrs in the beginning so testing every other day is better if you can manage it....I couldn't!

fedupofrainydays Fri 06-Sep-13 10:01:47

I can empathise with you all, I so can. It's so so hard. Even when we think we are out one month there is always a 'maybe' in our minds. I'm like that too. Really not thinking this is my month but I know when af arrives (am not testing this month / not taking tests on holiday) I'm going to be gutted once more.
Big hugs to 2be and liquid both staring at bfns. I know how shit it feels. We will get there but I know that doesn't make it easier when staring at a stupid single line.

We are off to Portugal tomorrow. Hopefully it's sunny there! Even though I don't work on Fridays I'm busy in the pre holiday panic and not even started packing for us 3!

Liquidambar Fri 06-Sep-13 10:06:03

thanks fedup

you are to my home country grin
it has been very hot for September and everyone is hoping for some cooler weather. but whatever the weather I hope you'll have a great time.

CourgetteSmuggler Fri 06-Sep-13 11:23:11

Hi Fedup and goldtoof

DD is two and I Ovulated on CD21. We dtd on CD20&18, I misjudged it so maybe slightly off! We should have dtd more often this month was only 5 times!

CourgetteSmuggler Fri 06-Sep-13 11:26:01

Sorry for all those BFPs I always used to test early but I think it does more harm than good sometimes!

misshoohaa Fri 06-Sep-13 12:11:16

Hi everyone!

Hope all is going ok for all the TTC #2's. big congrats Muzzy and G&T.

I've been lurking this month but haven't posted as trying to not get to obsessed with the whole TTC this month as felt pretty rotten when AF got me last time so decided to just accept there will be more than a 3 year age gap and that whilst not what I wanted it does have lots of positives. So capped my googling, mums netting and daydreaming about babies for a few weeks but alas I'm back!

So no OPKs this month just a bit of shagging around when I thought I was Oving but we only did it 4 or 5 times over a week.

But of course now I am in the 2ww I am back to obsessing as per usual!

I have started b6 to try and increase my luteal phase as I think it is only about 10 days. So my wee is now fluorescent yellow!

How's the bump Abi? Hope u are feeling OK.

Nice to see some BFP's!

Piglet, I think we are cycle buddies. I think I'm about 3/4 days ov probably due AF next weekend.

getagoldtoof Fri 06-Sep-13 14:39:48

Cd 18 & 20 sound good courgette. Fingers crossed.

Hey hoohah, I have decided I will be pregnant this month. I've placed my order with the looniverse... ha. The b6 sounds like it's doing the trick then. Jow much is it 100mg? I am half tempted but my lp is fine. I guess I'm just worried about progesterone because of my early mc/cp and that I still occasionally bf ds, maybe 5 times a week. Does it have any other side effects?

Fedup have a fantastic time - it should really help to clear your head of all this horrid ttc uhmming and ahhring.

2be, I'm not surprised you're feeling crappy. I can't stand the sight of a bfn. You're right, dh was a bit insensitive- but its just not on their minds in the same way.

I poas opk in the train station - into a costa coffee lid ha! Properly negative, in fact ive never seen such a negative opk! When I used to do them I always got two lines. Weird.

2beornot Sat 07-Sep-13 07:15:54

Morning ladies. Well I'm def out - AF got me! Which is the second month in a row I've had a 24 day cycle. And it confirms that I ovulated on the Saturday I thought, so maybe I can read the signs better than I think. In which case I might not start with the OPKs this month. The longer I can hold off that the better I think!

fedupofrainydays Sat 07-Sep-13 07:23:49

Thanks ladies. Last post from me for a while unless I find some decent wifi out there! Have a great couple of weeks and looking forward to checking in and seeing some more (and stronger) bfps and probable happy scan news from abi.

I'm hoping this hol helps me through my EDD on 13 sept, although af now due around the same time so double whammy of pain and disappointment. But I think once this date has officially past something will let go and the pressure to be up duffed by then will go. I did get a bit depressed packing a load of tampax, liners and painkillers last night sad

How do you pee in a costa lid geta it has a hole for drinking so didnt the wee just fall out?? Impressed by the effort though! I did an opk yesterday too and only one line which I thought was weird too. Oh well.

Lots of love ladies and see you in two weeks xx

2beornot Sat 07-Sep-13 07:51:38

Have a fab holiday fedup! Hope you get through the 13th ok. See you in 2 weeks!

2beornot Sat 07-Sep-13 07:52:57

Oh and yes! I wondered about the lid! It has a hole plus you must have been able to move it out of the way part way through? Definite dedication!!!

muzzy1 Sat 07-Sep-13 09:03:57

Hope you're ok 2be....I agree doesn't sound like you need OPK's and at least your cycles aren't too long so you can try again soon!sorry I realise that's no consolation at the moment!

Hope you have a lovely holiday fedup and that things are easier for you once September has past. You will get your BFP!

I am also impressed with peeing in a lid! How is that possible?!

Good luck in the 2ww wait miss and welcome courgette.

getagoldtoof Sat 07-Sep-13 13:13:15

Oh 2be, that is so annoying. Sorry lovely. At least you've got a better idea of when you're ovulate. Should help you get the bfp.

Muzzy hope you're ok and feeling relaxed. Those early days are so tough.

Fedup will be thinking about you on the 13th. It is lilely to be difficult but at least you're away and can enjoy the sun.

I know when you pee on an ic opk you don't need much pee so I waited till mid flow and angled it away from the hole. Didn't have much pee, but enough for opk. Then I poured it out and put the lid back on the cup which I chucked and washed my hands thoroughly. All in the name of ttc eh?

misshoohaa Sat 07-Sep-13 14:43:07

Sorry 2be, Enjoy a large vino and some AF treats. I think OPKs work for different people in different ways. Personally the month I used them I loved them! Until I got AF, which made me even more cross that we shagged at the right time and it still didn't happen, that turned me off them a bit so whilst useful to get a guide, I don't think I'll be using them for a little while again.

Geta - that dedication is impressive, getting your POAS fix is most important! Impressive technique. I have been known to so a test in the work loos when pregnant with DS1, sometimes these things have to be done. grin

Enjoy your hols Fedup.

How's things Muzzy and G&T? Feeling good! So pleased we got some good news.

GandTnow Sat 07-Sep-13 16:32:21

Stronger line today. smile Really sorry to hear af got you 2be and for all the bfns.

I have really strong cramps today and back pain, don't really remember if I had this last time. Also seem to have no energy. Is it possible I'm getting bigger already? My jeans just feel really tight. blush.

hoping for some more bfps soon.

geta so impressed with the logistics of this move! Well played!

Liquidambar Sat 07-Sep-13 19:39:32

sorry to hear that af arrived 2be. but looking on the bright side the sooner it arrives the sooner you'll be back in the game. Fingers crossed that the next one will be the lucky one smile

muzzy and gandtnow glad the lines are getting stronger! You are the examples that it's possible

can't see the names but welcome to the newbies.

got shock I'm so impressed with your technique! ! as you said all in the name of ttc!

I have been having some cramps and backache but that can be just AF arriving. I'm just slightly confused (sorry tmi) about a very very light pink discharge. I never had it before my period. Af is due on Monday or Tuesday but if this continues I might test again tomorrow morning. But at the same time it sounds silly and I should simply wait for AF. grrrr....

AbiBub Sun 08-Sep-13 00:35:09

Hey ladies

Sorry 2be about af getting you. Big hugz. Hopefully your cycles will stick to one length and that af buggers off do you can get on with dtd.

Sorry to hear about other bfn too, my phone wont let me go further back and having a trouble remembering at this time! !

G&t congrats on the bfp, hopefully yours and muzzys bfp will start a trend for the up and coming months.

Fedup hope you have a fabby holiday! Enjoy and relax! My scan is a week this monday, so hoping everything is ok.

Muzzy glad the line is darker! I am 11weeks today and still suffering with nausea :0 (

Miss, thanks gor asking. Bump actually looking bigger today and oh lordy clothes not fitting and my belly button has stretched! ! :0/

Liquid, im just wondering and I don't want to get your hopes up, but could the light pink be imp bleeding? Im keeping pinkies crossed that it is.

Ladies im still lurking as just want to see how you're all getting on. I hope you dont mind?

Big hugz and still keeping my fx for all of you! ! :0)

Liquidambar Sun 08-Sep-13 07:44:30

thanks abi . I've tested again this morning and it was bfn. I'll stop testing and wait.
glad all is well with you

hope everyone is having a good weekend

onelittlepiglet Sun 08-Sep-13 15:48:53

Hi everyone

Sorry about your bfn amber but fingers crossed it was just too early.

2be - sorry AF got you.

Miss - are you about 7dpo now? If so we are poas buddies! Although I'm not going to bother this month until AF is actually late (if she is). Wasted too much mental energy on it last month and I hate the disappointment of a bfn.

So this is our 6th month of actively ttc #2. We've decided to keep trying for another 6 naturally but possibly try and get some tests around Christmas if nothing has happened by then. I can pretty much guarantee that it won't have - I have a feeling that there is something just not right. No idea what we would do after this. It's something I have stupidly never considered. Maybe we just have to accept it isn't meant to be.

threepiecesuite Sun 08-Sep-13 16:42:25

Hi all
Well I closely followed this months mass poas but was a few days behind, af arrived today though so I'm out. Another month gone.
Going to book doctor appt this week as that was our 18th go so im assuming something is wrong. Regular cycles and dtd lots so maybe a blockage or something. Need to accept there may be a problem.

misshoohaa Sun 08-Sep-13 21:26:34

Three - good luck with the Dr, hope you get some answers. 18 months seems long enough for them to take some action, so hope you get some answers and then a swift BFP to follow!

Those that are seeing/contemplating GPs did you do a check-in at some point? We're on month 5, and wondering if a GP visit now is worthwhile just so they have notes that we are TTC? I'd hate to get to a year or so, prep myself for the Dr doing some tests and them telling me to give it a few more months.

Piglet - I think I am about 6 days post ovulation but not too sure. Due AF in about a week so like you I'm going to try and wait till I'm late. Unlikely as I have a FR test in the draw. Feeling typically pregnant of course, sore nipples, AF pain, nausea..... But of course I get these symptoms every month so it means jack s**t!
Always keen for a POAS buddy! grin

2beornot Sun 08-Sep-13 23:01:45

Hi everyone! Thanks for the sympathies.

A short cycle means we can get on with it ASAP and I'm lucky that AF never hangs around long. I should ovulate next Monday so will start dtd soon. Have told DH that this months schedule is up to him! I know he'll forget to google though so it'll be up to me as usual!!

It's never occurred to me that there could be something wrong. Getting pregnant with dd was first cycle and with mmc was 4 cycles so I just assumed it'll work. It's only been 2 cycles since mmc so not that long! I hope those of you
Going to docs have a sympathetic one x

Ambar - sorry its another bfn. I hope you're not feeling too disheartened. Hugs.

Liquidambar Mon 09-Sep-13 08:59:53

2be I'm glad you will start dtd very soon. exciting times! ! ! You won't be my poas buddy for next cycle, but all for a good reasonsmile

threepiece welcome. sorry to hear you are having such a hard time. I'm sure the Dr will help you to get a bfp soon

miss and one keep positive. I hope you can soon announce your bfp.

Af is due today or tomorrow but no signs. I want it to arrive so I can start a new fresh cycle. I will try not to test next month. This weekend has been an emotional roller coaster with mixed signals, evaporation lines (superdrug tests gave me very convincing evaporation lines more than once shock ).
I think I'll try the evening primrose, this cycle. Where can I buy it?

Hope everyone will have a good week

KPidgeon Mon 09-Sep-13 17:24:39

I got evening primrose capsules from Boots liquid. Been taking them since AF stopped and will stop after I've ovulated for the 2ww.

We took our DS camping for the first time on the weekend! Was lovely but cold.. why did we wait until the weekend the weather went Autumnal overnight?! Anyway DS was toasty warm and slept beautifully- it was me and DH that felt the cold. Was a fab adventure though so we will def. go again in the Spring.

That helped me unwind though I did miss red wine and a morning coffee I have to say!

I've also bought a second hand foot spa to help me relax! My mum is convinced relaxing is the key.... we shall see!

Liquidambar Tue 10-Sep-13 08:19:35

thanks Kp. I'll stop at boots today. The weekend sounds really nice. how old is your DS? And the SPA... really nice as well. Enjoy!

AF has made its appearance. To be honest I'm not gutted, it means I can start again. I know relaxing is very important and I'm very stressed at the moment. I will try to meditate a little bit before bed time to unwind.

hope everyone is well.

misshoohaa Tue 10-Sep-13 21:02:38

Liquid. Sorry AF turned up but well done for being positive.

Boo. I broke POAS this morning. BFN BFN BFN. Think I'm only about 7/8 days post ovulation so might be too early but got that feeling it isn't going to happen.

How's our pregnant folk? Muzzy, G&T - update us with your happy news. smile can we be bitterly jealous of your morning sickness yet!?

onelittlepiglet Tue 10-Sep-13 22:46:53

Miss - don't lose hope it's very early to test! Fx for the next few days.

Liquid - sorry abut AF.

What does evening primrose oil do or help with? Just wondering if it's worth taking that!

I was reading about another charting site called ovufriend, and I signed up just out of interest and it's given me a completely different ovulation day this month from FF. so it thinks I ovulated on cd17 rather than cd14. (it is basing it on positive opks and ewcm I think, plus I did have a slight temp rise that day.).

Do any of you use ovufriend and do you think it's any good?

It means that AF won't be due for me until next Thursday so I must hold out testing until then rather than this weekend. How annoying!

2beornot Wed 11-Sep-13 08:19:48

Liquid - sorry AF got you too. But Yey! Means you can start the fun part again!

Miss - fingers crossed but we are normally quite intuitive About these things. I hope you're wrong though.

One - you're very strong not testing! Fx for you.

I'm about to start dtd again tonight. DH has decided the schedule this month (!) how smug will he be if it works (and I really won't care at all)

2beornot Wed 11-Sep-13 08:20:53

Oh and I will be on holiday on 7 dpo-11dpo so won't be able to test early! Ideal timing!

KPidgeon Wed 11-Sep-13 17:54:45

Hi girls. Advice please. We were away camping Sat so didn't actually start DTD til Sunday... Did it Sunday, Monday and last night and I thought I was due to ovulate today though OPKs aren't showing that.

I had really light spotting today. (pinkish blood) just a few spots in knickers (sorry TMI) this is TOO early for implantation bleed isn't it? Just thinking if I actually ovulated on Saturday and it worked on Sunday could an implantation bleed happen this early? Probably not. If not what on earth is this spotting?

Oh dear. I had really hoped that body was back to normal.

muzzy1 Wed 11-Sep-13 19:29:49

Hi girls hope everyone doing ok.
K that is strange about the spotting but i do think it would be too early for implantation if conception was Sunday....I think it has to be at least 6 days after. Were you doing OPK's over the weekend? I'd keep DTD in case you haven't ovulated yet.

Sorry I can't look back on my phone but whoever asked about evening primrose oil it helps with ewcm to get the sperm through! I used to take 2 so it was 1000 of whatever it is.

Miss you are still very early to test so don't lost hope!

I'm ok but have zero symptoms really except terrible skin and constantly feel like either crying or killing someone! Still only 5.3 days! Has time stood still or something?!

Liquidambar Wed 11-Sep-13 20:29:57

KP I sometimes have a little bleed in between periods, usually about ovulation. But could you have a had shorter cycle and ovulated earlier? Implantation bleeding is usually one week after ovulation

Miss I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, you might have tested too soon

2be how exciting! Good luck smile I have a feeling this will be your cycle!

one I have never used ovufriend. I like this page (if you have regular cycles)

muzzy I hardly had any symptoms with DC. It was a bit annoying because I wanted to "feel" pregnant. Glad everything is okay.

misshoohaa Wed 11-Sep-13 20:42:08

Ha Muzzy that made me chuckle, I think the 12 week wait is the most frustrating thing ever. With DS it draaaagggggged on forever! Enjoy your secret though, sending morning sickness vibes your way.

Kpigeon could it be bleeding from the frequent shagging? Sounds too early for implant bleeding as you say.

Well my symptom spotting has gone to a whole other level of bonkers. Today my nipples were hideously itchy for about 3 hours. So I have now googled the shit out of that symptom. grinI don't feel hugely hungry like I usually do AF so that's good for the waistline if nothing else.

Think the old witch is due over the weekend so am going to enjoy my disillusioned world of pregnancy for a few more days. Tesco had sold out of cheap tests so took that as a sign to wait. My B6 intake could be the reason for no AF symptoms as hopefully my cycle will have been extended to compensate for my short luteal phase.

Hope all is well with everyone else!

fedupofrainydays Thu 12-Sep-13 20:12:42

Hi ladies from Portugal! Hope you are ok. Internet quite crap so can't really see all posts but sorry about af 2be

I had big argument with DH today who was fed up of me being miserable and I completely broke down as he doesn't feel like I do about tomorrow and the would be due date. He doesnt understand why ive not moved on. Think we are ok now and I told him how I feel which I've not really done so all good. Am feeling the pressure to be happy now though, partic as its also dh's birthday tomorrow. Tough!

Constantly on knicker watch for af too. Sucks. Plus have a spot boil on my chin that is so painful it looks hideous! Oh well, I don't know anyone here.

Otherwise we are having a lovely holiday despite the whinge, sorry ladies! Cocktails, sun, pool and a very happy ds make it great.

Liquidambar Fri 13-Sep-13 09:00:46

fedup I'm glad you are enjoying your holidays despite the emotional weight of today's date. But focus on Dh's birthday. Thinking of you.

miss keep us posted on how you are doing over the weekend and well done for not poas early.

On my phone, so can't see everyone's names. but hope everyone is well.

Miserable day up here... rain, rain...

KeepTheCarRunning Fri 13-Sep-13 10:52:06

fedup holiday in Portugal sounds delicious, I'm well jealous grin - although I understand the weight of today.

4dpo here, I have a ton of work to do and I'm procrastinating like mad and googling early very very very early pg symptoms... argh...

can't remember who mentioned the Evening Primrose, but I'll def look into that!
Can I ask another question? Has anyone tried taking/heard of taking aspirin? In my google-tour, I came across that as a way to help implantation, but I'm not sure I want to take that kind of drugs regularly... Has anyone heard about that?

misshoohaa Fri 13-Sep-13 13:16:33

Hey fedup thinking of you today, hope you and DH have made up and enjoy the hols, you are right to be thinking this day is going to be a struggle, I think any of us would feel exactly the same, so hope you get through it OK.

keep not heard of asprin, as you say I think that would be a bit too chemical for me, but interesting if you find out any more info!

So AF is due today or tomorrow, I feel pregnant. Scared to write that as I don't want to get my hopes up, but also don't want to test again - feeling quite nice not having a BFN ruining things.

My boobs feel really heavy, my right nipple is itchy and sore, also a pulling feeling right down low in my ambdomen that I think I remember from DS and I don't feel like eating, I also had a bit of thrush earlier on post ovulation which I think is another symptom.

Going to be very sad if AF does get me in the next 24 hours! Gosh it's a struggle, want to test as I want that BFP but so scared to test as well. Luckily I haven't got any in the house!

KeepTheCarRunning Fri 13-Sep-13 18:41:37

Oooh miss that sounds promising grin hoping for a positive update tomorrow!

getagoldtoof Fri 13-Sep-13 18:44:12

Hello all. Fingers crossed for you hoo hah, I reckon that all sounds positive.

I'm about 2 dpo keep the car, driving myself absolutely bonkers already, I'm so there with you. Having some very strange twinges so habe convinced myself I'm pregnant! Ha, I do it every month, even when I'm not ttc!

Liquid, so sorry to hear about af - hoping this cycle is it for you.

2be, holidays always help hold off the poas obsession!

Good to hear you're well muzzy and abi. Nice to still have you around.

Piglet I'm going to look up ovufriend tonight.

I am so stressed at work I don't think I'll ever get pregnant. I'm considering packing in my job. I hate it... do any of you think the stress and pregnancy thing is true?

onelittlepiglet Fri 13-Sep-13 20:00:05

Hello all

Ooo miss how have you not poas yet?! Fx for you.

I'm about 12 dpo according to ff or 9 dpo according to ovufriend. Confusing much?! Well whatever I am it was a bfn today for me so not holding out much how for this month. AF due either Sunday or Wednesday I think so will try and wait until Sunday to test again if I bother.

Had a lovely anniversary yesterday and went for a meal out and drinks. It was so nice to be with Dh and relax a bit. Going to start swimming next week and try and get into some regular exercise as I've been rubbish lately. Hope this will help me feel a bit better.

AbiBub Sat 14-Sep-13 00:20:13

Hey lovely's :0)

Sorry for all who had their af arrive since my last post. Hoping new cycle will bring a new opportunity to get ip duffed!

Miss, keeping fx for you for bfp along with some other ladies testing a little later than you too! Will keep lurking to see how you're getting on!

One glad you had a chance to relax on your anniversary :0)

Thanks geta, im still lurking to see how all you lovely ladies are getting on :0) now normally I would say ghe stress thing wouldn't I think stop someone from getting pg but with dc1 we started trying in jan 2008. My job was vety stressful at the time, I handed in my resignation to finish working there at end of June 2008, mid July 2008 I fell pg with dc1 so it could have been a coincidence but I like to think that finishing that job helped create our ds!! :0)

Fedup. Biggest hugz to you for today ( although I think its past midnight so for yesterday technically) its boundyo weigh on your mind. You are s strong lady, but dont be too hard on yourself we are only human after all! I hope you could set aside some of your day to relax and enjoy dh birthday too.

Hey to all other ladies sorry I cant reply to all, my phone only lets me non multi-task (must be male!!!) Big hi and fx for all of you!

x

getagoldtoof Sat 14-Sep-13 10:29:04

Fedup I hope you were well looked after on what would have been your due date X

muzzy1 Sat 14-Sep-13 10:55:14

Hope the day went ok fedup...hopefully it might actually take some of the pressure off you now that the date has passed. I believe stress is a big factor too in ttc.
Any update miss??

misshoohaa Sat 14-Sep-13 13:49:45

Hi all, got back from the shop with test. POAS big fat negative, then wiped and AF blood on the paper so guess my symptoms were either in my mind or AF symptoms. hmm

Hope someone else gets some good news soon.

getagoldtoof Sat 14-Sep-13 16:18:07

Oh miss sad that's not what I wanted to see - I'm sure you didn't either. Sorry darling.

I do hope we get some bfps on this thread soon.

2beornot Sat 14-Sep-13 18:17:13

Big hugs miss AF is hard enough when you are expecting it, but it's a bitter blow when you're not x

Liquidambar Sat 14-Sep-13 20:14:51

sorry about af miss. hugs. I hope af doesn't stay long so you can start a new cycle quickly.

fedupofrainydays Sat 14-Sep-13 21:07:40

Thank you so much ladies.
It was an ok day, got quite drunk with DH for his birthday and although af arrived today (meaning a scary 20 day cycle this month) I'm oddly less distressed / more peaceful about it than previous months. I think it's the pressure of such a big milestone has passed. I feel sad about the passing of the date i should have a baby in my arms but at the same time im more accepting now and if I'm only meant to have one child, so be it.

And DH and I made up. I told him how I felt and explained the emotional turmoil I go through each month and with the EDD situation. He's been great. Also gutted about af arrival and has said he's going to get his swimmers checked too which helps.

I got a text on Tuesday announcing arrival of one of my NCT a babies. Burst out crying at that, but now I'm looking forward to meeting her and feel I've put it all behind me now the dreaded would be date has passed. I will of course never forget my miscarried baby but hoping now I can be a bit more at peace with it all.

Sorry miss af got you. I feel pregnant most months and this was the first I didn't feel anything so oddly thought perhaps this was the one despite my insanely early ovulation. But no such luck of course.

Fingers crossed for a bfp on here again soon.

Take care all of you xx

2beornot Sat 14-Sep-13 21:37:45

fedup thinking so much of you right now. Like you say, that pressure has been taken away now. I understand how you must feel - you'll never forget that baby and the life you imagined for them, but you can move on.

Much love x

AbiBub Sat 14-Sep-13 22:29:42

Sorry af got you miss big hugz. Not what you needed when you had just tested. Fx gor next cycle.

fedup im so glad you and dh have had a chance to talk about things and that he is looking to help out by getting himself checked too. Things always work better if the two of you are working together to solve issues big hugz to you, and glad you are feeling more at peace now your date has past.

How is everyone?

misshoohaa Sun 15-Sep-13 07:53:15

Fedup pleased your day was OK, sounds like your DH has been a gem!
I'm sure the milestone has been playing on your mind a lot, and of course it should! Hope you enjoy the rest of you break.

So AF hasn't actually appeared it seems it was just some very light spotting. Like some pink creamy discharge and a few red spots and then nought since. So I'm expecting AF anytime. My lala land side wondered if it could be implantation bleeding but quite late probably 10 days post ovulation, so I expect not.

Tempted to test but its a 25m test in the cupboard so doesn't seem much point! I'll try and hold out a few days as AF will probably get me today or tomorrow with gutso.

Off to a raw food class today with a friend, really looking forward to it!

fedupofrainydays Sun 15-Sep-13 09:25:25

After a night of terrible af cramps my peacefulness returned to sheer sadness that I seem unable to give ds a sibling. At least after a day of rain it's back to sunshine today. And thank you for your lovely messages.

miss I hope it is implantation that would be great!!

onelittlepiglet Sun 15-Sep-13 11:27:33

Ah fedup sending you some hugs and wine. I'm sorry you are feeling down. The anniversary must have been hard but I'm glad you sorted it all to with your Dh. Mine is the same - he just doesn't understand why ttc and getting bfns every month hurts so much. The feeling of powerlessness and just not understanding why we can't get pregnant is so hard.

my dh's friends from uni had their second baby yesterday. Pictures all over Facebook. Their first ds is 9 months younger than dd. I admit to being very jealous and upset about it which is completely unreasonable of me!

Well AF might be due today but I don't feel like she is in her way so I think I did ovulate later so Af will be due on on Wednesday instead. Did a test yesterday and it was a bfn, but I think I had an evap line which for a second made me think it was positive. Ho hum.

misshoohaa Mon 16-Sep-13 07:24:51

Oh Fedup, big hugs. It will happen for you I'm sure. Perhaps you need to do something to give you some control back, either a healthy eating detox, some relaxation techniques, some outside help from a reflexologist or homeopath if you can afford it? Not sure if that is a helpful suggestion but maybe taking charge or a good portion of distraction would help.

AF still hasn't turned up but I've had a tiny little pink spotting over the last 2 days.

Tested this morning and BFN. Grrr!!!

I'm really hoping the test is wrong or two early as I feel pretty rotten, and knackered.

Guess ill wait and rest again in a few days, maybe my B6 has extended my cycle - which would be pretty impressive!

KPidgeon Mon 16-Sep-13 16:46:28

sorry to hear that fedup a big thing to go through what would have been your due date. I'm dreading it. Really thought I would have been pregnant before it but not at this rate. Don't despair. There is no reason why you shouldn't provide a sibling for your LO and I'm sure it will happen. And when it does it will feel like it was always meant to be him/her in your arms. x

Nothing to report here, after my odd bleed- sure it was ov bleeding. Never had it before but it was bang on day 14 so I'm hoping that I go back to a 28 day cycle now.

So in the 2 ww. Boring! Can't PO any S at the moment!

getagoldtoof Mon 16-Sep-13 21:00:57

Me 2ww too. Booooring. Seen as I have convinced myself im pregnant , I have no interest really.

Interesting about b6 hoohah, do you think that it might have worked on your cycle? I read if.you spot for a few days before af, it can be a sign of low progesterone. Sounds like the b6 might be working on that.

One piggy how you feeling?

Fedup it is sad and frustrating. So many women I work with get pregnant like that. Its so upsetting X

2beornot Tue 17-Sep-13 08:32:40

Hi everyone. Nothing to report here, just sending hugs to those who need them.

Have been trying to not get too obsessive this month and it has kind of worked. DH determined the dtd schedule and we've stuck to it. And I don't feel like I'm pressuring him just for babies because he's the one taking the lead. It's actually quite refreshing and I'd recommend it.

Off on holiday on Mon so can't test til at least 12 dpo so that will help too. I've got a frer in the cupboard just waiting.

Any news piglet or miss?

fedupofrainydays Tue 17-Sep-13 09:52:28

Hi ladies. I so hate the 2 ww so feel for those of you stuck on it right now.
Thanks for your kind messages, it's been a bit of a emotional rollercoaster holiday that's for sure. Two birth annoucements makes it tougher too.
I've just finished reading the impatient women's guide to getting pregnant - great read. Am also now changing my diet and going to do all I can (as well as have lots of sex) to help us increase our chances. I'm down to one coffee, less booze and healthier food options. My diet wasn't partic bad before to be honest but I can still improve!

How's it going miss? And one??

onelittlepiglet Tue 17-Sep-13 11:50:50

Well after AF didn't turn up on Sunday and didn't feel like she was about to I did a cheapie test and got a very very feint line...looked like an evap so ignored it again. If i was due on wednesday it would only have been 11 dpo. But after feeling a bit weird yesterday and feeling unusual cramps and twinges, today I caved in and used my cb digi even though AF might have been due tomorrow....and it was a BFP! Very early days - I'm technically not 4 weeks until tomorrow (going by when I think I ovulated) but the digi test said 2-3 weeks so that's a bit weird....

Completely in shock and feel very weird and shakey about it but very, very happy! i had completely convinced myself something was wrong and going by my temps I might night be ovulating etc. I have been a very grumpy cow the last couple of months!

Me and Dh keep looking at each other and going 'what have we done!'. It's also coincided with dd waking up about 4 times the last couple of nights with nightmares so we are a bit tired!

Thank you all for you support and advice and general greatness! I would not have got through the last few months without everyone. I just really hope there are some more BFPs on the thread soon and I will be keeping everything crossed to you all. I'm not going over to the ante-natal thread just yet as I just want to let the next few days go by uneventfully and then see what happens.

Arghhhh!

2beornot Tue 17-Sep-13 13:44:30

Yey piglet!!! Have some wine, I mean cake to celebrate!!

KeepTheCarRunning Tue 17-Sep-13 14:20:21

8dpo here, I can't beleive how slowly the days pass. POAS Sunday

muzzy1 Tue 17-Sep-13 14:20:48

Congratulations one!! That's great news...good luck for the next few weeks.

KeepTheCarRunning Tue 17-Sep-13 14:21:22

believe even... goes off to google typos as early sign of pregnancy...

Liquidambar Tue 17-Sep-13 15:42:21

one what fantastic news! grin congratulations

onelittlepiglet Tue 17-Sep-13 18:07:09

Thanks everyone! Still hasn't really sunk in yet. I am only 3+6!

Hoping that the next few weeks go by fast and uneventfully. I had terrible constant nausea with dd and horrible heartburn in the evenings so wondering when they will start....

muzzy1 Tue 17-Sep-13 18:14:22

I know the feeling one. My bfp was at 3+3! Time is dragging. It's good you have had a strong positive and the test showed 2/3 weeks!

getagoldtoof Tue 17-Sep-13 19:31:50

Oh my goodness! Exciting! So pleased for you piggy thanks whoop whoop knew we needed a bfp. Aww I feel more positive about life now X

getagoldtoof Tue 17-Sep-13 19:34:27

Oh, and I have basically convinced myself I am pregnant this month. Seen as I've asked the universe and all.

I am having twitches in my uterus area and loads - literally loads of cm. So there you have it, I must be pregnant.

Af is going to kill me this month...

Congrats agains little piglet X

BartBaby Tue 17-Sep-13 19:43:16

Wow congratulations one !! So so pleased for you.

Sorry I've been a bit quiet ladies. I've been lurking occasionally and am on holiday so not online constantly! grin

Sorry to all those caught by af flowers

AbiBub Tue 17-Sep-13 23:27:18

Congratulations one !! Bet you're well chuffed, lets hope the bfp runs throughout the thread now for all you lovely ladies! :0)

Hows is everyone? muzzy how you getting on? miss any updates?

I should be sleeping but tummy pains from yesterday's scan keeping me awake, lets hope I nod off soon! x

fedupofrainydays Wed 18-Sep-13 09:35:23

Congratulations one

Last few days of holiday here... And feeling a bit more positive about our situation. Hope that lasts!

GandTnow Wed 18-Sep-13 13:31:24

Brilliant news one flowers Really excited for you!

misshoohaa Wed 18-Sep-13 19:18:10

Congrats piglet! So chuffed for you, that's brilliant news. Yippee! Did u do anything different this month?

Well AF got me 2 days late but on the upside it does mean the b6 lengthened my cycle by 2 days so my luteal phase was a bit longer, although I was spotting from my normal AF day so not sure if that means it didn't quite work 100% but going to stick with the b6 for a while longer to see what happens this month.

Decided to resign from my job next week so looking forward to relishing in my new unemployment! Going to be tight on just DHs wage but I'm sick of being loaded with a full time + workload when I'm part time.

Stressing me out big time and I think that's part of our conception problems too.

Pleased we've got another number 2 success story! Yay piglet! X

2beornot Wed 18-Sep-13 20:16:06

Sorry about AF miss. Although exciting times in your household - hope it helps you de stress.

I'm officially on 2ww now. Not going to stress/obsess about it and am banning my self from ttc websites (except here of course). Fingers crossed it works!

threepiecesuite Wed 18-Sep-13 20:33:55

Congrats one.
Well I went to the gp today. She was lovely. She reassured me that regular painfree periods meant I was likely ovulating.
Next step is 2 x blood tests, swabs and SA for dp. I feel happy to have got the ball rolling but anxious.

fedupofrainydays Wed 18-Sep-13 20:51:49

Sorry af rocked up miss but also glad the b6 is doing something! I too had an awful time at work earlier this year... I do 3 days a week but I was pretty much doing a 6 day week which was insane. Last couple if months it's been ok after I spoke to them about it, but if it got bad again I'm def leaving too. So good on you for making that decision.

2be I too am not looking at any websites or googling anything this cycle. I didn't this month and it did make it a teeny but easier once af arrived.

I just feel like I'm not going to get pregnant any time soon and want to turn it all off and stop ttc but I can't. I'm stuck in this hideous cycle of hope, sadness and disappointment. I'm on cycle 8 now since my mc and its so tough. The stats say I should be pregnant by now so what am I doing wrong?!?!

pizzaqueen Wed 18-Sep-13 22:26:23

Haven't checked this thread in a while, congratulations one and piglet. Great news!

I know its still early days for me but I had a read of my NHS board's fertility policy and they won't do any investigations if you already have a child living in your home. This makes me so sad if we do have a problem there's no way we could pay for tests never mind treatment sad . I really didn't make the most of my ds baby days and really want a sibling for him and to have a baby I can enjoy and treasure the early days. I hardly remember ds as a baby because I was so stressed and it breaks my heart.

pizzaqueen Wed 18-Sep-13 22:32:57

I meant onelittlepiglet obviously!

onelittlepiglet Thu 19-Sep-13 00:07:27

Thank you ladies - I really appreciate your best wishes.

I'm sorry AF turned up miss, but glad the b6 has lengthened luteal phase by two days. Fx for next month and hope that leaving your job will make you happier and less stressed.

Fedup - I'm sorry that you are feeling like that - i felt exactly the same right up until the start if his week! is it worth going back to your go and just seeing if there is any problem that your mc might have caused? We had decided that if nothing had happened by Christmas we were going to go for tests and maybe having that date in mind helped me to feel like I had a positive plan of action.

Pizza - I felt the same about dd when she was a baby - I was so tired and stressed and shocked that I didn't get to enjoy it as much as I had hoped.i sometimes felt I was the only mum who felt like that but I've since met others who feel the same. I really hope to get your BFP soon.

We didn't really do anything different this month - in fact more that we didn't really try that hard! My inlaws were visiting and I was stressed out with that horribly (we don't get on and they are rather controlling) so maybe a different kind of stress helped! I was confused about my ov day - or rather ff confused me but actually I felt that I I ov on cd17 but my temp was a bit all over the place. We DTD on cd15 and cd16 and not in the day of ovulation. No rhyme or reason at all...

Liquidambar Thu 19-Sep-13 09:14:58

fedup I hope you are feeling a bit more positive. It must be terribly hard ttc after mc. My best friend mc at 8 weeks and it took her nearly a year to get pregnant. she was seing a private consultant and half way through they run some tests and everything came up fine. the doctor reassured her it was just a matter if time. I know it's very hard to relax but perhaps if you could do yoga twice a week that might help. hugs

pizza how many months have you been ttc? Try not to think about the treatments right now. plus there are other options before going down the big fertility treatments. Have you spoken to your GP? It might be a good idea to have a chat and see what he/she thinks.

I'm very confused. I'm using dual hormone opk from clear blue. in theory it should give me two flashing smiles(high fertility) and two solid faces (pick fertility). i tested yesterday and it was negative. This morning it have a solid smile straight away shock I'm only on cd 10!! we didn't dtd yesterday evening but we will do it tonight. I'm completely lost... I'll test again tomorrow to see if it still gives me a solid smile. Has anyone used this opks before?
I'm in a training course all day about statistics. .. i wonder how i will be able to focus smile

MrsLadyL Thu 19-Sep-13 09:35:57

Morning all, been ttc #2 for around 5 months now.
Got a little bit crazy at begining so tried to chill a bit more recently. Have used opk in pervious months to get a feel for them and they seemed to be spot on just wasn't lucky enough ( taken casual approach back then) decided last cycle this was our time to try the most we could.
Last AF was 26/08/13 expected O was 08/09/13 but had been testing and never got a positive that whole week had been testing since the Monday. My average cycle is 27days. No was a bit thrown by this ran out of tests. But the following Wednesday 11/09/13 had cramping and know that's far too early for implantation cramps so got new tests and tested the Thursday and was positive! So a little panicked thinking I had covered all bases with DTD days previous to expected O so continued to DTD for next couple days. So my O happened 3/4 days later than expected I guess which is normal so I read. Currently on CD 25 AF due Sunday/ Monday! What are the chances of pregnancy? Feeling deflated to be honest sad

KeepTheCarRunning Fri 20-Sep-13 10:48:20

hello everyone, and happy Friday - can't wait for the weekend to begin!
MrsLadyL Hi! it seems you managed to dtd around ov so I'll keep my fingers x'ed. Remember the swimmers can hang around for 3 days or so. There are a few of us testing around Sunday, so it'll be exciting to see if there's any BFPs coming up.

Fedud I'm so sorry you feel that way - it will happen, but maybe it's a good idea to take a step back from googling and fertility websites. I found fertility friend to take over my life sometimes, so I'm just plotting temperatures and cm and ignoring all the pregnancy predictor features. But but but..I've still managed to convince myself that I am in for a BFP this month grin my temps are higher than normally around 11dpo and I'm quite nauseous + my coffee tastes foul (that's a Very Serious Matter for a coffee junkie grin). So, I'll probably be in for a huge disappointment Sunday morning, oh well...

liquid Hope the statistics course went well. I work with statistics everyday, in fact currently trying to write a paper on statistical methods and I CANNOT concentrate at all. TTC seriously doesn't mix with statistics!

MrsLadyL Fri 20-Sep-13 14:08:00

Thank you keepthecarrunning X

getagoldtoof Sat 21-Sep-13 13:19:19

threepiece great news about gp doing tests. Hope all goes well and you get some answers.

liquid did you manage to dtd? Hope so! I couldn't concentrate on statistics for all the tea in China - I take my hat off to you!

mrsL I had that last month, we went off the boil before late ov. So annoying, but you are still in with a chance!

I am poas tomorrow. As you may know I've allowed myself to get completely ahead of myself, and stupidly believed I am, so I will be sad when I see bfn tomorrow. Who is up for a mass poas tomorrow then?

onelittlepiglet Sat 21-Sep-13 13:47:40

Geta - good luck for testing tomorrow I really hope you get a BFP. I honestly didn't think I would when I tested so you just don't know.

I'm feeling distinctly not pregnant. Don't really have any symptoms at all. I had some cramps when AF was due but they seem to have gone now. Trying not too freak out too much but I just can't remember what this stage was like the first time.

Hope everyone else is ok!

misshoohaa Sat 21-Sep-13 15:40:54

Sounds promising Geta, fingers crossed for another positive.

Piglet - I think I only had slight twinges up until week 6 when the morning sickness started. I'm planning on keeping a diary this time so I can remember all of the stages in more detail!

In the end of AF stage. Not looking forward to DTD at all if I'm honest hmm how bad is that! Might be because I'm feeling knackered today - was up till midnight trying to build a website which I've never done before and then DS woke at 5am. Zzzzz

KeepTheCarRunning Sat 21-Sep-13 16:23:48

with you geta! POAS tomorrow, nauseous and tired today...

MrsLadyL Sat 21-Sep-13 22:30:06

Sorry but what does POAS mean? Still learning all this

2beornot Sat 21-Sep-13 23:38:55

Welcome MrsL. POAS = pee on a stick, although I prefer to PIAJ (pee in a jug) myself. Usually the stock is a preg test, but tbh most if us are so obsessive we'll pee on anything!

Good luck to the two POAS tomorrow. Hope we get. Couple of BFPs from you!

KeepTheCarRunning Sun 22-Sep-13 05:21:27

ok, so POAS just now. There's a very faint line but it's definitely there. DH can see it too smile
it's a crap 25 mu test and I cant get my hands on a better one today...

getagoldtoof Sun 22-Sep-13 06:02:37

Omg keep the car!!! That's amazing. Is it a definite? Get another test! Exciting!!

getagoldtoof Sun 22-Sep-13 06:43:38

Bfn for me. Af due Tuesday so may poas then. Boo.

KeepTheCarRunning Sun 22-Sep-13 06:58:09

oh geta sad so sorry
my head is spinning atm. I don't quite believe it yet. I'm 13 dpo and the test is meant for 1 day after missed period, so that would be 15 dpo for me, but there was a line. A faint one, but still DH could see it smile
Typically the pharmacy is closed today so can't get a better test. Will try tomorrow!

getagoldtoof Sun 22-Sep-13 07:12:58

Ah, keep the car, I'm sure you'll get a nice line if you get a test tomorrow. Congrats X

2beornot Sun 22-Sep-13 08:21:08

Keepthecar - so exciting!!! Hope that line is still there tomorrow!!

geta it's still a little early so fingers crossed for Tuesday x

fedupofrainydays Sun 22-Sep-13 08:22:42

Hi ladies. I'm back from holiday!
Thank you all for your kind messages through my rollercoaster holiday. I got back late last night to open a letter saying I've had an abnormal smear test sad cue next wave of panic.

Also One of my best friends who had a mc in June and erpc has just got pregnant again in first month of trying. So happy for her but so wish I was with her on this one as we have been trying for 7 months now. I've now got abnormal cells to stress about so at least I won't be stressing about preggo symptoms anymore!!

keep the car that's so exciting and sorry about the bfn geta. Are you ok? It's so tough when you convince yourself it's a bfp this month. I've done it so many times.

Looking forward to catching up on the rest of your news over next few days.

Liquidambar Sun 22-Sep-13 08:38:37

congratulations keep. I'm sure your odds of a stronger line will increase wink And writing papers and trying to convince doesn't work for me either! !!

geta I'm so sorry it was a bfn. But if you are testing early there is still a chance you can get a bfp in the next couple of days. what test did you use?

mrsL welcome and yes, if you have dtd around ovulation time sperm can live a couple of days.

I'm one or two days dpo. hate the 2ww. I'm determined not to test before the 6th of October.
Also a bit anxious about an early ovulation because next month I'll be away attending a conference around ovulation time.

Have a great weekend

Liquidambar Sun 22-Sep-13 08:42:14

fedup sorry to hear about the exam's results. fingers crossed it won't be anything too serious. When will you have your next appointment? thinking of you.

I hope you enjoyed your holiday.

fedupofrainydays Sun 22-Sep-13 08:57:19

Thanks liquid. I don't know yet, they will send me a letter. I have to have a magnifying glass and light shone up my bits it appears. I can't have it when have af which is always difficult with my silly short cycles.

Cd 9 here and no sign of ov. Last month I had ov'd by now so who knows what's going on. Was concerned ovulation on cd 8 was too early but now I have no signs by cd 9 it all seems so weird. How early was your ov liquid?

Holiday was great on the whole considering the due date and multiple new babies and pregnancy annoucements whilst we were there! DH was ill last few days so that was a bummer as you know what ill men are like - pathetic!! He still managed to dtd though so couldn't have been that ill!!

getagoldtoof Sun 22-Sep-13 10:34:36

Fedup, you must be feeling anxious. That's really shit. Hope you get fully investigated and that everything is normal. Sounds like the holiday might have delayed ov for you? Possible? That could be a good thing?

Thanks all, sadly I'm still convinced. If I'm not pregnant I'm slightly delusional. Wouldn't be yhe first time though!

MrsLadyL Sun 22-Sep-13 11:21:54

Congratulations Keep!! AF due today/tomorrow too scared to test sad

MrsLadyL Sun 22-Sep-13 11:27:33

Tested looks like a BFN

getagoldtoof Sun 22-Sep-13 12:19:25

LadyL, sorry to hear that. It's horrible. Hope you're feeling ok X

onelittlepiglet Sun 22-Sep-13 12:27:08

Congratulations keep! That's great news. Hope you get a good strong line when you next test.

Fedup - I hope it isn't anything serious. They send those letters when they can't get a good result from the smear and just need to repeat it. I had one and freaked myself out abut it but it was just that they hadn't been able to process a result from the sample so needed to redo it. Hope that's the case for you too.

Geta - sorry about the bfn...but it doesn't mean you are out yet, and I've got everything crossed for you for Tuesday.

MrsLadyL Sun 22-Sep-13 13:14:40

I'm not so sure anymore think there may be a faint line? Or am I imagining one haha

MrsLadyL Sun 22-Sep-13 13:27:32

Iv posted a pic let me know what you all think?

getagoldtoof Sun 22-Sep-13 13:57:56

That looks like a line mrsL - how long did it take to show up? Got another test?

getagoldtoof Sun 22-Sep-13 13:59:20

Which one is today's test?

MrsLadyL Sun 22-Sep-13 14:02:16

I done it looked neg pooped it in bad and went out just thought id have another look and looks faint? It's the blue test? Yes I have more tempted to test again but maybe leave till tomorrow...

Liquidambar Sun 22-Sep-13 16:08:11

MrsL it looks like a line!
I am a bit traumatized by the evaporation lines, because last month all my super drugs tests gave me very convincing evaporation lines after the 10 minute window.
Test again tomorrow and fingers crossed you'll get a stronger line smile

MrsLadyL Sun 22-Sep-13 16:27:27

Thank you. Yes I'm convinced it's an evaporation line I'm
Just not that lucky sad

Liquidambar Sun 22-Sep-13 17:04:20

MrsL don't give up yet. test again tomorrow and see within the 10 minutes window.
Evaporation lines are the reason why I am not testing earlier this month. They are heartbreaking.

fedupofrainydays Sun 22-Sep-13 17:05:30

It looks like a line but I also had an awful experience with those pregnancy tests two cycles ago which gave me a false pos inside the 10 min window. It wasn't an evap. So I don't trust them!!

Thanks ladies. Letter just said I had abnormal cells and evidence of hpv. Freaked out and started questionning DH faithfulness as we were both std tested when first got together. But I hear it can lie dormant and even nuns can get it. Trying not to panic and awaiting my appointment date. Not what you want at the best of times never mind ttc! My friend said my dates with the willy cam of late should have picked up if there was something seriously wrong so I hope she's right!

MrsLadyL Sun 22-Sep-13 17:16:28

Yes we have decided to leave couple of days and test again with possibly a clear blue. Iv got everything crossed

MrsLadyL Sun 22-Sep-13 17:24:05

Just looked back over previous strips iv used like yesterday ect and they are completely blank. No evaporation lines on them. Just seems to be this one test that's got a faint line and it's still there. Didn't find out I was PG with my daughter till almost 11weeks due to having treatment for irregular cells so was bleeding.

Liquidambar Sun 22-Sep-13 17:45:19

MrsL that is good news, that this is the only test with a line smile Fingers crossed! Hopefully you can have reassurance soon. Thinking of you.

Liquidambar Sun 22-Sep-13 17:50:52

fedup hpv is not a std. Don't worry smile I had it in my early 20s and I had a laser treatment to heal the wound caused by the virus. The major problem with hpv is that if untreated it can be harmful. Try not to worry too much.

MrsLadyL Sun 22-Sep-13 17:59:53

I really hope so!

misshoohaa Sun 22-Sep-13 18:15:46

Congrats Keep - fantastic news. Pleased you got your BFP.

Lady , not sure I can see the pics on the app but hope it sorts itself out tomorrow and becomes a proper line.

Geta - good luck, I convinced myself last month (and despite AF arriving kind of still think I am!) so I know how you feel. Hope AF stays away!

Fedup - pretty common to be called back, sure it will all be fine.

We're getting to DTD stage, meh so over shagging. I just want a baby not an orgasm! wink

2beornot Mon 23-Sep-13 00:06:51

Hi ladies, just wanted to say have a good week. Off for a week away tomorrow. I will not be taking any hpt with me so will test next sat when I get back (13 dpo) assuming the old witch hasn't got me.

Fedup - sending big hugs. Take good acre of yourself. Hope it's nothing to worry about (it normally isn't anything to worry about).

Hope there's acouple more BFPs when I get back

fedupofrainydays Mon 23-Sep-13 06:58:53

Have a great time 2be and hope af doesn't arrive whilst you are away and it's a strong bfp when you are home! Have fun

AveryJessup Mon 23-Sep-13 07:26:58

Hello all!

Am working on TTC #2 as well and was wondering if anyone is using a digital fertility monitor to pinpoint their fertile days? Are they any good? I started a separate thread on this but got no answers yet so thought I would check out this thread to hear some words of wisdom!

Last time around it took us nearly 2 years to get pregnant with DS - a really lonely, stressful experience. I hope TTC #2 won't be as bad and am trying to be more focused about things this time.

fedupofrainydays Mon 23-Sep-13 07:32:17

I'm not but have heard they are good. But also heard people have had really long or no peak periods on them, and then got pregnant! I just read a book 'impatient woman's (deffo me) guide to getting pregnant' and she recommended the clear blue one. I use digital opks and try and do every other day around those and go for it when get a smiley face! Good luck. I've been ttc #2 for almost a year now (with a mc in march) and its so heartbreaking so I hope you have a better time with #2. Good luck

KeepTheCarRunning Mon 23-Sep-13 09:34:59

Ok, so got up at 5:30 peed in a sealable container, snoozed a bit while DS watched tv, drop off at nursery, then to pharmacy to pick up cb digital pg test. Got home, inserted cb test in refrigirated wee and... It's a BFP grin yay! So it's official, i'm really pregnant! Now can I have some sticky vibes please this way! Stick bean stick

I reported the spam too, good to see it's gone

MrsLadyL Mon 23-Sep-13 10:48:10

So tested again this am with another brand of cheap test and within 5 mins a faint line appeared in test window? Could it possible be?? Il post a pic

KeepTheCarRunning Mon 23-Sep-13 10:48:56

I hope it's ok if I hang around this thread a little longer? I can't really see myself on the pg board yet, it's not sunk in yet

KeepTheCarRunning Mon 23-Sep-13 10:51:07

Oh exciting MrsL! Are you late for your period? (Sorry I forgot)

MrsLadyL Mon 23-Sep-13 10:54:59

One app said yesterday. Another says today. Iv posted a pic if you wouldn't mind having a look my nerves are shot!!

fedupofrainydays Mon 23-Sep-13 11:16:26

Deffo a line mrs l. Congrats!!

Got to admit I'm getting insanely jealous with all these bfps. I've been on this thread for yonks and seem so many ladies come and go. I'm so happy for everyone but its getting tougher as time goes to still be here and not be me sharing the happy news. I think after this cycle I'm going to take a break from MN as well as other sites as not sure it's doing me much good mentally. And I do appreciate your support and messages partic with the passing of my due date. Xx

fedupofrainydays Mon 23-Sep-13 11:20:28

Sorry, shouldn't have written that then to put a dampner on your bfps. Geninuely happy for you both xx

KeepTheCarRunning Mon 23-Sep-13 11:25:11

MrsL, I see a line! Congrats!

fedup i understand. i'm so sorry you feel that way but I do understand. You need to take care of yourself in all this ttc crazy-business flowers

MrsLadyL Mon 23-Sep-13 11:55:23

Not getting myself excited yet. I know how you feel been on other threads for around 1 year now and seen so many Bfp. I took a break from this site too for around 2-3 months as was insanely jealous too. We will all get there so they say ok not believing it just yet x

Liquidambar Mon 23-Sep-13 13:56:56

mrsL I'm on my phone so can't check the picture but massive congratulations! !!

fedup I think it's totally understandable. but remember we will be here whenever you need.

MrsLadyL Mon 23-Sep-13 15:15:35

Thank you! Hubby wants to wait a couple more days and test again with a CB digital to be sure. He doesn't want me to be disappointed. Bless

MrsLadyL Tue 24-Sep-13 07:02:32

Morning ladies, so we couldn't wait, just took CB digital and BFP!!!! Over the moon smile smile smile

SoMuchFruit Tue 24-Sep-13 08:13:35

Congratulations on the BFP's ladies! That's fab!

Liquidambar Tue 24-Sep-13 08:19:24

Congratulations MrsL grin well done! flowers

MrsLadyL Tue 24-Sep-13 08:24:02

Thank you very much! Waited a long time for this moment smile

Liquidambar Tue 24-Sep-13 08:28:50

can i just say that I'm only 4dpo and already spotting symptoms... I'm completely nuts!
yesterday was lower back pain = need a new chair at work;
today is heartburn and upset stomach = had too much pizza last night.
clearly i know this is not related to a possible pregnancy but it's so easy to be irrational about it.

I hope everyone will have a good day

getagoldtoof Tue 24-Sep-13 23:01:30

Hey MrsL - congrats! That was super quick!

Fedup, I can completely get where you're coming from. It's so hard to hear of bfp after bfp. I know you've had it really tough over the last two years. I hope all goes well for you even if you're not checking back in X

Liquid, 4dpo sounds about normal for a nutjob! That was me this month.

Af was due today but no sign yet. At the gym my workout nearly killed me and I have lots of pregnant symptoms still - but still bfn sad well - I've managed to see a line on pretty much every test I've done. Dh can't see them. So in the name of research I put beer on an ic hpt. An evap came up! A proper grey line! I'm chucking all of my ic's in the bin!

Feeling rather disheartened by the whole thing. I am desperate to go for a new job but feel stuck in my present job waiting to take advantage of a maternity leave period I may never have. It's so frustrating!

getagoldtoof Tue 24-Sep-13 23:03:05

Sorry MrsL - I hope that wasn't insensitive - I meant you hadn't been on this thread for a long time before getting a bfp, not that it had happened for you super quick (sorry!). Bet you're over the moon!

MrsLadyL Tue 24-Sep-13 23:35:12

No no it understand how you feel. It's all changed so much since my daughter, got my scan date and everything already! Too quick

getagoldtoof Wed 25-Sep-13 06:51:07

Wow, that is so exciting! What is your edd?

I am now 15 dpo, temps still up. Going to poas. Can't help but be hopeful/scared. I'm nervous after what happened in June.

getagoldtoof Wed 25-Sep-13 07:28:13

Nope. Af just arrived. Feeling very low.

MrsLadyL Wed 25-Sep-13 07:46:09

Edd is 2nd June smile

MrsLadyL Wed 25-Sep-13 07:47:35

Sorry to hear that geta, how long have you been trying?

Liquidambar Wed 25-Sep-13 07:58:29

geta sorry about AF. I hope you are okay ( hugs and flowers )

I'm in the same position as you. I would like to look for something new, but it seems a bit of waste because of the maternity leave. my suggestion is keep your eyes open and if there's anything you really want go for it.

getagoldtoof Wed 25-Sep-13 08:59:23

That's lovely MrsL - you'll be in the nice middle bit for christmas, and shouldn't get too hot at the end bit!

Thanks liquid. I'm not that upset now, we've only been trying since June. I'm so hopeful it will happen by the end of the year. Sorry to hear you're in the same position job wise. It really is frustrating because I could walk into a less less stressful part time job tomorrow, but wouldn't get the maternity package etc.

I think period pains are just cruel, though - rub salt into the wound or what?!

Hello, may I join you? We've just started ttc no. 2 but it took almost a year last time and I was charting etc so I practically feel nuts about this time round already. I have a long and not very regular cycle so it's hard to guess at ovulation. Starting next month I'm going to start temping again. Yey.

getagoldtoof Wed 25-Sep-13 09:13:19

Hi Antoinette - took us a yr last time too. I thought I'd be much calmer with ttc 2, but havw been nuts from day one as a throwback to ttc the first time. Temping is your only way of knowing what's going on - a necessary evil. The only good thing about af is not having to temp for 5 days! I really hope you get a quick and easy bfp, should be easier the second time!

PunkyBubba Wed 25-Sep-13 10:03:12

Hi all, you don't know me but I have been lurking here since June. Firstly want to say how much brilliant advice and tips I picked up from reading this thread. I wasn't going to write as I never felt I had anything to add, but today feel I might.

I started using OPK's thanks to this thread (worked brilliantly for me, and made things much less stressful on the whole, though I know it is to each their own!), and end of August got my positive OPK so did some BD after convincing DH to give the SMEP plan a go. 2 weeks later on holiday I took a PT and got a BFN, and the next day AF arrived... 4 days worth, very heavy as usual. End of last week ov symptoms came bang on time (EWCM and ovary pain) but DH has been quite ill this month so hadn't even bothered with OPKs.. Monday he felt better so thought I would just PIAJ and try the OPK.. and as I was doing it thought I might just try a PT too.. no other reason than my boobs had been feeling a bit weird... didnt even pay attention to it first, was more surprised OPK was still positive, anyway PT was a BFP! I want to make clear I am not looking for congrats, and certainly don't want to rub salt into the wounds of those who are sick of hearing about BFPs. I just want to say even if AF does arrive, it does not necessarily count you out. I am now paranoid as after AF started I was still on hols so was drinking a fair amount, been taking aspirin for headaches (which I now know the reason for), and various other things as I was so certain I was not pregnant.

Anyway, just hoping I make the 12 weeks. If not will be back lurking here again with a vengeance. Good luck guys, and I guess from this experience I also recommend the SMEP plan for those that haven't tried it! Lots of love.xx

MrsLadyL Wed 25-Sep-13 10:15:27

It just shows you! My opk have always been spot on expected o day. But last month got nothing but neg till almost one week last predicted O. So I thought I had completely messed up and was out. Since I got the (+) opk we only managed to DTD once I think and look BFP! It's goes to show every month is different. Good luck everyone sending lots of baby dust. Just hoping I have a sticker

StillWearingOddSocks Wed 25-Sep-13 11:06:55

Hello all - I'm sort of new around this forum- I'm TTC2 and feel like I have been for over a year but desperately need a proper action plan- checking for egg white and DTD then, but really need some tips, desperately. Should I get a thermometer?

I feel so naive - in that you all seem to know exactly when you're ovulating etc - I don't even understand all the acronyms yet blush

MrsLadyL Wed 25-Sep-13 11:22:35

Iv been off birth control for around 1 year plus myself now. I started off with some cheapie strips off eBay ovulation strips that is. Got an app on my phone and started chatting my period. Used them to see if it was in sync varied a bit over the past year but worked out an average of a 28 day cylce since December. Then checked out all these forums joined a few got excellent tips from these lovely ladies. Did become obsessed so beware!! Gave up with it for two months or so..... Me and husband decided nothing was happening so sept was our month. Been taken multivitamins and folic acid too. Last cycle was off surpringly ovulated way later that was expected, done the whole DTD before O and day off and after .bit muddled and confused due to late O. And yes I just got my BFP yesterday!!!! It worked!! Good luck X

KeepTheCarRunning Wed 25-Sep-13 11:26:05

Sorry about AF geta that sucks sad
mrsL my edd is 3rd of June! Had check-in with my gp today and writing notes etc. It's beginning to dawn on me that it's really real. And I'm wiped out by nausea envy euuugh

getagoldtoof Wed 25-Sep-13 11:42:09

Hi punky - were opk and hpt touching when you tested? If so I would recommend retesting with a hpt alone. Otherwise, many congrats!

MrsLadyL Wed 25-Sep-13 11:49:58

It's so exciting! Yes am plagued with nusea and head aches
[ confused ]

MrsLadyL Wed 25-Sep-13 11:57:17

I am booked in nov with midwife. I'm terrified this time round to be honest. My daughter was born at 29weeks. Hoping and praying I go full term this time. That's why we have waited 5 years for #2 both a little scared it will happen again. Iv hear they can monitor you more or even stitch you're cervix? Anyone got any experience of this or know anything?

PunkyBubba Wed 25-Sep-13 12:01:28

Hi geta, I tested again later on Monday with a cheapie Asda, and then a Digital yesterday morning.. Both BFP. Digital gave conception as 2-3 weeks ago, which if Ovulation was 3 days after positive OPK (which I have read is possible?) then that would more or less be right.. I am still very nervous about the whole thing as with having a full normal type period (TMI alert - clots and all), what I would count as my normal pre-ov signs, and supposed conception a bit later than I think it should have been, I am not sure if this will be a sticky bean.. but keeping my fingers crossed.

Oddsocks - I got cheapie OPK strips from amazon, and an iPhone app to chart my cycles.. I hadn't got to thermometer, though think that would have been my next step. Also sorry, rereading my original post I think I probably went overboard on acronyms:

OPK - Ovulation Predictor Kit
BD - Baby Dancing (same thing as DTD - Doing the Deed!)
SMEP - Sperm meets Egg Plan (google it - some find it hard work, and hard to convince DH/DP to sign up to, but a lot of people swear by it, and like I said, worked for us)
PIAJ - Pee in a Jar
POAS - Pee on a Stick
AF - Aunty Flo (slang for Period)
BFN - negative pregnancy test
BFP - Positive pregnancy test

Hope that helps.xxx

Nocturne123 Thu 26-Sep-13 01:47:21

Hi everyone ! I am also ttc no 2 smile my dd is 4.5 months .

I promised myself I wouldn't symptom spot this time ... But it's too hard ! I have psoriatic arthritis which completely cleared up during my first pregnancy then subsequently flared straight after . It got pretty bad recently but the past 2 days or so the swelling has gone down remarkably and I'm in a lot less pain ! Could just be a coincidence but I can't help thinking its cause I'm pregnant ! Few days to go before I can test though .

Good luck to everyone ttc!

getagoldtoof Thu 26-Sep-13 09:13:31

That's fantastic punky. Congrats. I did a hpt and opk at the same time once (had just had ds, was bf no af and felt weird). Got a bfp but was because the two tests had touched! Hope you have a lovely pregnancy.

sebsmummy1 Thu 26-Sep-13 13:49:52

Hey grin

I also don't think it's my month lol but I'm still symptom spotting doh

I am 4 dpo (I think) and felt a sharp jab in the left side of my groin today as I got up to get out the bath. The last time I had this I was pregnant, but a few months along, I know it is probably nothing bit I can't help wonder hope if it could be an implantation pain. I am also getting mild cramps from that side too.

I know only time will tell and 4 dpo is vey early for implantation but I can't help get my hopes up anyway blush

Otherwise I have no CM and nothing else going on at all.

2beornot Fri 27-Sep-13 18:49:44

Hi ladies.

Back from a fab and tiring holiday!!!!

Congrats Mrs. L.

Fedup you are allowed to feel disappointed that you don't have your BFP yet. In fact your allowed to feel angry, jealous, upset and stamp your feet and shout "its not fair" toddler style. We all think it, we're just not brave enough to write it. And it doesn't make our congratulations any less genuine x

Plan to POAS in the morning. Fingers crossed!

MrsLadyL Sat 28-Sep-13 07:59:08

Thank you very much. Yes you are rite I stamped my feet enough and cried as evermore around me got BFP my two best friends one of which is expecting twins!! I was so jealous.

2beornot Sat 28-Sep-13 09:00:04

BFN here. sad

Liquidambar Sat 28-Sep-13 09:12:16

oh 2be so sorry. how many dpo are you? can you test again in 2 day or so? hugs and flowers

I'm on the phone so can't check names but welcome to the new ladies.

2beornot Sat 28-Sep-13 09:43:28

AF due Mon so I'm 12 dpo. I would've thought there would be a hint of a line by now, so I think I'm out. Not gonna test again til Mon or Tues. I think I've peed on too many sticks - it's not fun anymore!

misshoohaa Sat 28-Sep-13 13:32:53

Sorry 2be, but its not over till AF arrives.
We're in DTD phase, going to try and do an early morning shag as I've heard that's a good time to do it!

How are you Fedup? Hope your feeling OK, maybe now the due date has passed you are feeling OK. Your time will come! X

fedupofrainydays Sat 28-Sep-13 14:26:09

Hi there ladies. So sorry about the bfn 2be

I've been hiding away to be honest. as af right after due date knocked me a bit and I've been struggling with real feelings of jealously with all the bfps and it was making me more miserable and cross with life as all feels just so unfair. Toddler tantrum basically wink. Not just on MN though but in real life too. So it's been a tough few weeks for me. I sound like a whingy brat don't I? But I am a bit!!

Now in the hideous 2 ww. And trying not to obsess but am already crampjng and have increase cm at only 2 dpo. And got my colposcopy coming up which am nervous about too.

Apart from all this I'm ok! Cut down to just one coffee, taking fish oil and cut down on alcohol to just a few at the weekends. Having a dinner party tonight (just one preggers person coming) so hopefully that will distract me!

Hope everyone is well.

2beornot Sun 29-Sep-13 08:38:59

I've had to block an old school friend on Facebook this weekend. She's been posting her 20wk scan pictures and statuses like "finally I've got my baby girl", "can't wait for <name> to join the family" and "finally will get a mother daughter relationship, not had that with my boys". She's got three boys and the youngest is only 1. I just feel sorry for her boys (especially the third) and think its not fair when I would love any child so much.

I know I am being unreasonable (and I'm sure she loves her boys really) but its just come at the wrong time!

sebsmummy1 Sun 29-Sep-13 11:04:18

Oh 2beornot I can totally understand what you are saying. To be honest I rarely go on Facebook or make any effort to be active on there, collect friends etc as it always seems that everyone is out going fab things - normally when I'm doing housework, spending lots of money - yep, I'm skint, etc etc. It's built to make others feel inadequate.

I'm absolutely sure your friend is in such a baby bubble she hasn't given a moments consideration that her updates could be making someone else feel sad.

I am 7dpo, no symptoms whatsoever, expecting my period in 4 days time so I am most likely out sad

fedupofrainydays Sun 29-Sep-13 12:16:57

Oh 2be you aren't being unreasonable. She sounds like a plonker to be honest. Facebook is hard with scan pics and growing bumps and new born pics.

I just bumped into my NCT friend and her new born. Poor thing looked shattered. I suprised myself by feeling ok about it (we both found out each other were preggers at the same time, except hers worked out, mine didnt) and her baby is super cute. Going round properly on Friday once her husband is back at work.

I'm 3 dpo and feel nothing. Yesterday was crampy, tired and feeling a bit sick but today I'm just a bit hungover and tired, but from staying up til 1.30, too much red wine and getting up at 6 with ds!

fedupofrainydays Sun 29-Sep-13 12:49:55

I'm 3 dpo and feel nothing. Yesterday was crampy, tired and feeling a bit sick but today I'm just a bit hungover and tired, but from staying up til 1.30, too much red wine and getting up at 6 with ds!

AF due today but no sign. Another bfn this morning. I've got a feeling it's going to be a frustrating month of knicker watching!

Liquidambar Mon 30-Sep-13 08:19:07

that is so frustrating 2be I'm sorry. I hope you are okay.

MrsLadyL Mon 30-Sep-13 08:23:38

2B you're still not out yet!! Sending you lots of baby dust smile

sebsmummy1 Mon 30-Sep-13 11:55:29

I'm still in, getting lots of mild tummy cramps so it could go either way.

2beornot Tue 01-Oct-13 15:03:47

Still no sign. Think I might test on thurs if AF not here by then. I am sure I ov on the Monday though so can't understand why AF not here yet!!

sebsmummy1 Tue 01-Oct-13 16:53:26

Ooh 2beornot - everything crossed for you, sounds hopeful
Xxxx

Liquidambar Tue 01-Oct-13 17:37:32

2be fingers crossed!!! it might mean you perhaps tested too early. Keep us posted.

seb how are you doing?

sebsmummy1 Wed 02-Oct-13 11:48:55

Well I did a 10miu/ml preg test today , stupidly NOT in FMU, kicking myself about that and I thought I may have seen a squinter or else it's an evap line. I've ordered some more cheapies online but right now, as silly as it is, I'm quite enjoying the bubble of 'maybe' and don't really want to rush out and get a first response.

I am due on either today or tomorrow so I'm going to sit tight and then test again once my new tests arrive (assuming AF hasn't appeared by then).

Liquidambar Wed 02-Oct-13 16:15:39

how exciting sebs !! hope you'll have a stronger line tomorrow.

2be any news? how are you doing.

sebsmummy1 Wed 02-Oct-13 16:45:30

Thank you xxx

My cervix is also high and soft whereas usually do close to AF it's low and firm. I'm also eating so many chillies its ridiculous when I don't even like spicy food! It all sounds quite hopeful but I'm still erring on the side of the witch appearing soon.

2beornot Wed 02-Oct-13 16:47:45

Good luck sebs!! Hope you get it.

AF just arrived, so I'm officially out.

9 months ttc, 3 cycles ttc since mmc and it's starting to get to me.

Liquidambar Wed 02-Oct-13 17:17:09

flowers and hugs 2be

sebsmummy1 Wed 02-Oct-13 17:38:34

2be I'm so so sorry sad

getagoldtoof Wed 02-Oct-13 20:22:43

Hey have been lurking about feeling sorry for myself. Sorry 2be, I was really really hopeful for you, it's just so disheartening, and it's so sad that we then have to wait another month to even be in with a chance again thanks X

fedupofrainydays Wed 02-Oct-13 22:26:31

So sorry 2be it totally sucks. Hope you are ok, you will feel a bit better tomorrow but i know how heartbreaking it is each month. I'm dreading being back at square 1 in about 7 days time. I'm a year ttc and cycle 7 since mmc and its properly testing me. Another friend called tonight to say she was 12 weeks pregnant. She had a mc about 3 months after me so has got pregnant quite quick. I just so want it to be me too. Why is ttc so bloody unfair?

Liquidambar Thu 03-Oct-13 08:39:57

good morning everyone. AF is due on Sunday or Monday. I couldn't resist and tested yesterday morning with frer. Of course it was a bfn. I have been feeling a bit nauseous and some cramps but it can be my IBS. in fact I suspect it's.

2be hope you are okay.

how is everyone doing? Is anyone poas soon?

have a lovely day

threepiecesuite Thu 03-Oct-13 11:09:27

Liquid, I'm due Sun too and got cramps and nausea too. Haven't tested yet because I like the hope of another day of wishing but pretty certain af will arrive. Got my Day 2 test this cycle too, had my Day 21 one last week.

fedupofrainydays Thu 03-Oct-13 11:33:43

I'm due on tues / wed. Dreading it all this month but will no doubt POAS this weekend as I like to gear myself up to af arrival as much as poss rather than wait... If that makes sense!!

Liquidambar Thu 03-Oct-13 16:23:57

3 and fedup shall we all poas on Saturday or Sunday? wink

threepiecesuite Thu 03-Oct-13 16:33:36
