Thanks for starting the bus! Can I join?

Although we decided to TTC end of June, we weren't able to try properly until now. I'm still waiting for AF, but looking forward to its arrival (never thought Id say that!grin)

ItalianWiking84 Mon 05-Aug-13 14:01:59

Hiya, can I join in too?
I am not sure about what your information on the passenger on board means tho, but came off the pill end of April and had my first real period in May and trying since then

keepswimming1 Mon 05-Aug-13 14:05:33

What info do you need?
I have a 28 day cycle and I'm on day 4 of AF

SuzB83 Mon 05-Aug-13 14:11:10

I'm on board!

SuzB83 ttc#1 cycle 7 BFP due 1st September

Fingers crossed everyone!

ItalianWiking84 Mon 05-Aug-13 14:11:49

I have a 31 day cycles (is that bad?) and trying atm to figure out when my ovulation date is...

monkette Mon 05-Aug-13 15:02:19

Can I be added pls. Ttc #1 Cycle 11 bfp due 2nd. Hopefully this one will be lucky.

DisneyDiva87 Mon 05-Aug-13 15:10:33

Just what number of child your are trying for (TTC#?) and what month/cycle of trying you are on and the date your next period is due (although we call it BFP date!)

jaykay987 Mon 05-Aug-13 15:23:20

It's all about the positive thinking!grin

keepswimming1 Mon 05-Aug-13 16:14:59

Keepswimming1 ttc#1 Cycle 2 BFP due on the 06th smile

Nottalotta Mon 05-Aug-13 16:42:31

Nottalotta TTC #1 cycle 2

Not sure on bfp date.....ws on depo jab for 7yrs and it has taken 7 months for af to return (1st period last month 11-14th) and started again yesterday/today. I make that a 25/26 day cycle. Surprised at having af so soon as was told i could have mobths before another one. Working on 26 day cycle, bfp due 6th sept!

WillowsTree Mon 05-Aug-13 17:45:25

Can I also join? Had iud removed 15th July and breakthrough bleed on 17th for 10 days. I'm just waiting for first proper af (which I feel is rather close) so don't know my bfp date yet. I'm hoping it's early September!

Willows tree, ttc#2, cycle 1, bfp due ?

theborrower Mon 05-Aug-13 18:01:46

Can I jump aboard? TTC#2, on cycle 2, and no idea when BFP is due because I just had a 34 then a 40 day cycle - came off implant in May.

Best of luck, ladies! Toot toot!

theborrower Mon 05-Aug-13 18:02:34

Oh, on day 3 of this cycle

ImaginaryHat Mon 05-Aug-13 18:37:37

Hey, not gonna join as I'm clinging on to the back of the August bus, but my cycles have been pretty varied in length messed up these past couple of months so I could end up on here if I'm on a longer cycle. So I'm gonna stay on the August bus officially but keep one eye on this bus too!

m33r Mon 05-Aug-13 18:46:41

Hi there. First time on any chat but been stalking for a while. Ttc#1 cycle 9 bfp not sure of as all over the place. Cycle gone from 28days to 38 in last nine months. are people using ovulation sticks or doing without?

ItalianWiking84 Mon 05-Aug-13 20:23:31

Child 1, 3 cycle ttc and bfp hopefully the 18th of August

ItalianWiking84 Mon 05-Aug-13 20:26:16

M33r I have been using ovalation sticks month and found out that my ovulating date was 4 days later than I thought and that the online calculators have calculated so I am pretty happy I decided to give them a go

ItalianWiking84 Mon 05-Aug-13 20:26:54

And good luck to all your wonderful ladies, hope September will be your month

Nottalotta Mon 05-Aug-13 21:14:43

I am not using opks but am thinking i might. Only on C2 of ttc but will be 36 this month so really want to up my chances. I am a bit all over the place with it - one mibute thinking we'll just dtd as and when and hope for the best, and the next obsessing over ovulation, af and dtd every other day if poss!!

m33r Mon 05-Aug-13 21:48:28

To opk or not to opk is my biggest dilemma! I've done it four cycles but only got positives twice but I'm hoping that's because it's hard to get the time of day right when you're working.

Nottalotta, I wish I could just dtd as normal but it's so easy to miss it and I'm too scared. Huge respect if you can just be normal but I just can't! That said I've been at it a few more cycles so maybe more psychotic. Don't worry about being 36. Got mates who've been been much older than that; still young!

Good luck all, happy shagging...

m33r Mon 05-Aug-13 21:53:20

And thanks italianviking. I think I'll not only stick with opk but also try a bit harder to get the time of day and maybe do more days so I def catch it. Do I sound like I've lost the plot?!? :-/

ItalianWiking84 Mon 05-Aug-13 23:25:35

Always happy to help... smile I actually started this month the ovulation calculator stated that I should be fertile and then kept going till I got a positive, that way I also found out that my fertile days are defn later than the calculator stated
I do it every day at the same time a day and not in the morning

m33r Mon 05-Aug-13 23:36:09

That might be where we're going wrong as tend to stop two day after the calculator tells me I'm past but I might be completely missing it. Will give it a go this month and let you know how I get on. Thanks again

mummyneedinganswers Tue 06-Aug-13 00:52:07

Can i join pls jus had a mc and really want to start ttc straight away as ive heard so many positive storys

ItalianWiking84 Tue 06-Aug-13 07:27:52

m33r I think you should think about buying those sticks, the cheap ones are just as good, just a bit more difficult to read (I think) ... I was really chocked when I found out that my fertile days is clearly after the ones given in the calculator, the last couple of months I been only relying on that one, so hoping this month will be the month, now where I actually managed to find my true fertile days...

ItalianWiking84 Tue 06-Aug-13 07:30:11

Oh and heads up all of you lovely women, I went down to my local Tesco last night, to see if they had more of those Clearblue on clearance (I know, I am desperate and want to stock up, lol) and they told me that a lot of Tescos have this clearance at the moment with these Clearblues, because apparently a new model is going to come in to the market. So if you live near a Tesco and use them, then try looking at the clearance shelf there... Mine was 8.75, use to be 35!

ItalianWiking84 Tue 06-Aug-13 07:30:47

mummyneedinganswers so sorry about your mc (sending you a virtual hug)

Kemie Tue 06-Aug-13 08:18:15

I'm tempted to start using opk's however I'll be at a festival over my fertile window and I'm not up to the challenge of poas in a portaloo!!

Empriscillavoss Tue 06-Aug-13 09:18:51

Hey I'm still clinging On to the August bus however quick question... Is there a certain time of day your are sposed to use the ovulation sticks?

ItalianWiking84 Tue 06-Aug-13 09:43:11

Empriscillavoss
They say you should use the same time a day, not in the morning, and not drink really heavily (like 2 liters of water and coffees) 2 hours before testing

jaykay987 Tue 06-Aug-13 11:45:17

I think it depends on the brand. As CB instruction say you should use FMU.

WillowsTree Tue 06-Aug-13 11:48:59

I'm still none the wiser on expected bfp date as af STILL hasn't appeared! Had all the signs she was imminent on Saturday (bad cramps) and today still nothing! I'll keep my seat up the back and just wait I suppose.

ItalianWiking84 Tue 06-Aug-13 12:26:42

FMU, What does that mean?

ItalianWiking84 Tue 06-Aug-13 12:27:28

WillowsTree - Perhaps she is not coming? You did a test?

jaykay987 Tue 06-Aug-13 12:37:57

Fmu - first morning urine

WillowsTree Tue 06-Aug-13 12:40:40

I think the cramps were too severe for them to be a pg symptom. I've ordered ic tests that arrive Monday so if she's still not here I'll test. Sure I can't be lucky enough to get pg straight off the mark!

ItalianWiking84 Tue 06-Aug-13 12:53:37

WillowsTree I have 3 friends who did that.... So I am keeping my fingers crossed for you...

Thanks for the clearing, Jaykay smile

JosiePosiePuddingAndPie Tue 06-Aug-13 18:53:27

Italianviking, I'm heading to Tesco asap. Thanks for the tip; I hate the non-digi ones as I'm never confident of my reading.

DisneyDiva87 Wed 07-Aug-13 11:41:00

I tend to do a couple of ov tests a day cause your hormone levels could rise after you do one and then fall again before you do the next one a day later. I bought cheapies from Amazon and they seem to work fine for me.

Thanks for adding me to the official list of passengers DisneyDiva87. It feels good being part of a gang for this journey, roadtrips are always more fun with friends smile

Did the first journey alone..when AF arrived yesterday morning i couldn't help feeling gutted even though it was only our first try, bit ridiculous really given the odds of it all. Had genuinely thought things had felt different and had started to believe we were gonna get lucky..realising now the mind (and maybe the body!) can play tricks.

But this bus looks good to me girls. The sun is shining and i'm sitting comfortably, wishing you all a pleasant journey smile

theborrower Thu 08-Aug-13 20:09:26

Just checking in - period has finished, yippee, so might enjoy one wee last glass of wine tonight, then begin Operation BFP tomorrow :-)

Hope everyone is doing fine

Kirstoll Thu 08-Aug-13 20:42:38

I'm hopping aboard ladies! I've been a lurker for quite some time all over mn (realise this sounds more like stalker than lurker) but am fx for bfp!
AF are all over the shop, some not at all, some 28 days some 32 etc. so my method is dtd every other day (am knackered) and be positive!!

Kirstoll - ttc #2 - cycle 2 - bfp due.......? 5th sep-ish

ItalianWiking84 Fri 09-Aug-13 07:49:35

I am in my 2ww now, and I hate waiting... Such a control freak...
And I cant even test if and when my AF is late, because my gorgeous friend is coming to see me and staying from the date my AF is due to come and a whole week and cant face also having to test in the same week because I don't know how I will react if positive or negative. So if AF is not coming (which of course I hope its not) then I can first test a week past my AF due date... Or could I test before? Any advice on tests that can show before your AF due date?

Kemie Fri 09-Aug-13 08:12:52

italian I've heard superdrug are best and can be used 4 days before AF is due, no experience though as I'm still awaiting that allusive BFP!

I've put my amazon order in for a job lot of cheapy OPK tests, also a few HPT tests so I'm stocked up, won't be able to start using the OPKs this month as it'll be too much hassle, so this'll be last month going it alone, clearly I'm hoping I've wasted my money!

WillowsTree Fri 09-Aug-13 08:31:20

So many people joining the bus, let's make it a lucky month smile

Italian I admire your willpower, I'm not even in the 2ww and I couldn't resist the urge to POAS when it was in my hand! I am weak, hehe grin

RaRaZ Fri 09-Aug-13 10:07:00

Can I join please? TTC no.1 and this will be my 4th month of trying. BFP date 7th Sept (and it bloody well better be!!!!) grin

ItalianWiking84 Fri 09-Aug-13 10:16:40

Kemie Thank you, have a SuperDrug close by, so will go down there tomorrow and get some, and then try perhaps the day before or 2 days before my friend is arriving smile

ItalianWiking84 Fri 09-Aug-13 10:18:53

WillowsTree Don't know if its willpower or more the fact that I am scared if I either have positive or negative, if I can hide it from her, and my BF will be out working these days, so more afraid that in spontaneous behavior would tell her and I don't wanna tell anybody before after the 12 week scan (except my BF of course smile)

WillowsTree Fri 09-Aug-13 11:27:36

Ah ok ItalianWiking84 I get what you're saying now. That's a tough one. If it were me and I got my bfp I'd likely explode with excitement and it would definitely give it away!! Hope the superdrug gives you an early bfp. When are you testing?

ItalianWiking84 Fri 09-Aug-13 11:57:04

Thats the things, its so tough to decide what to do... My bfp or AF is due the 17th and since coming off the pill, it has been spot on, so I dont know how early I can try testing. My friend is arriving the 17th as well, and I have known her for ages, so if I am over excited she will defn notice it and then ask, and I don't like lying so arg dilemma.....

onelifeonechance Fri 09-Aug-13 13:37:10

Hope you enjoyed your glass of vino last night the borrower smile

I've just treated myself by going to have my highlights done. Had a bit of a dilemma last month when i thought BFP might be on the cards about whether I'd get them done or not (and believe me they needed doing!) so have looked on the bright side of AF arriving and taken my chance. Figure i'll look my best next week for all the DTDeeding wink

Yes the bus is filling up nicely, hello RaRaZ and Kirstoll, i've only just hopped on myself so i'll budge up and make some room grin

Just out of interest how old is everyone? and what are you all doing about DTD? Can't decide whether to just go for it every day around my fertile time or to do every other day because of what they say about sperm quality..be intrigued to hear what you guys think

ItalianWiking84 Fri 09-Aug-13 14:12:46

onelifeonechance I am 29, my BF is 28, We are from Indonesia and Denmark/Italy/Luxembourg but currently living in Scotland. We dont really have a specific pattern, because none of us wants to take the fun out of DTD, but I use clearblue and we have then DTD on the day where the smile was and had already done it 2 days before that day. We didn't do it the day after because my BF didn't feel like in the mood for it, but hopefully the swimmers will have done their work on the smile day. I have thought about the smep, but dont know if we might try that out, if we dont successes this month, which I of course hope we do. My BFP or AF is due 17th and never late, but can prob not test before after the 23th because I have a friend coming over to stay with us....

onelifeonechance Fri 09-Aug-13 15:23:13

ItalianWiking84 - It'll be hard waiting til your friend goes to test...may be it might be a good thing though, being forced to wait i mean...
I somehow managed not to POAS at all last cycle! I came off the pill in February and since then my cycles are fairly short (mostly 23 days, max 26 days). We started ttc in July and although I thought about testing every day during the 2ww I managed to resist and made a deal with myself that i would only test once I had got past day 26 (i.e the longest my cycle has been). Unfortunately AF arrived bright and breezy day 23 so I feel like I've missed out a bit as never got to test! But i know if i tested early and it was negative i would a) be v disappointed and b) not really know whether to believe it (as even when AF arrived in full flow this month I spent the morning trying to convince myself it was just 'spotting' and i might still be preggers!!) Going to try to do the same this month though and wait til AF is late to test as figure it saves money on tests and prevents any more angst trying to second guess results than there already is with this whole process!
So i suppose time will tell. AF will either arrive whilst your friend is around (which i'll be keeping my fingers crossed doesn't happen!) or she won't arrive but by the time your friend has left and you get to test you'll know for sure that it will be an accurate result and you can jump higher for joy smile

I'm 32 and my DH is 34. We DTD every night last month (only during fertile bit!) and obviously it didn't work but not sure whether to do that again this time round or try every other day..it's so hard to know! I know what you mean about not wanting to take the fun out of it. Problem is if I leave it to when we feel like it we're both so bloomin knackered from our jobs that we might miss the whole fertile period completely!!! lol

onelifeonechance Fri 09-Aug-13 15:25:20

Also..sorry if this is a daft question but as a newbie on here i'm not sure what smep means? smile

Kirstoll Fri 09-Aug-13 16:39:18

onelife no idea on smep? I only just figured out poas grin I'm 24 and my partner is 29. As for dtd... I have been aiming for every other day but we both got a bit (whisper it) routine and it was much less fun! If I get bfn then at least I will have a better idea of a more regular af! Coming off implanon has set me all a kilter smile

Kirstoll Fri 09-Aug-13 17:49:18

Alas a quick google showed me smep = sperm meets egg plan..... But apart from lots of sex I don't see the principle is any different! smile

Nottalotta Fri 09-Aug-13 18:03:31

I'm excited to be officially on board and on the list. And feel like i'm a bit more 'in the know' about things this month, thanks to MN!!

I am 35 and DH is 37. We will dtd as and when we see fit! Probably 3 - 4 times over the relevant week. I think that is enough planning for us for the time being, only being on cycle 2.

onelife what day do you reckon you ov on a 25/26 day cycle? I have just started getting AF after coming off depo jab. Cycle 1 was 25/26 days. Not sure what cycle 2 will bring although AF was pretty similar.

ItalianWiking84 Fri 09-Aug-13 19:08:38

Onelifeonechance : yeah it might be better for me just to wait till she leaves and hopefully no af by that time and then I can start jumping of joy... Thanks for cheering for me.. I sure hope this is the month for us smile
Hope for you too, makes sense waiting to the due date or period for af before testing otherwise it can end up expensive and also, for me, with extra disappointment, if it turns out negative

ItalianWiking84 Fri 09-Aug-13 19:16:30

Onelifeonechance - my cycle is fairly long, I think, it's 31 days so the ovulation stick really have helped me this month to find our when my fertile days actually is... And yes if we only did dtd when we were in the mood we would never get a baby lol but we still try to follow our moods and luckily my bf gets existed about the smile on the ovulation stick so that helps with the dtd, but I am way to sore down there (tmi- sorry) to do it every day

ItalianWiking84 Fri 09-Aug-13 19:21:08

Kirstoll the idea behind smep should be that dtd every other day will do that the woman all the time have fresh swimmers in her that are ready for the egg
I think some of the others know a lot more in details about it smile

Hello ladies, can I join in?
I'm lurking at the back at the moment as I finish my packet of pills on the 24th exactly 3 years after last time!!
Conceived our DS in the November on 2nd true cycle, am hoping for a quickie this time too! Although I am bracing myself for a longer wait. Ds will be 2 on Tuesday shock how quick the time has gone!

I have forgotten absolutely everything about ttc, so you'll have to remind me! Although I've just ordered my folic acid grin

Oh, we did every other day last time, totally worked for us!

WillowsTree Fri 09-Aug-13 21:50:28

Hi everyone, and welcome new passengers! My bf and I just dtd as and when we please at the moment as I've only just stopped contraception so its nice being care free for a while. We have always done it regularly anyway, normally 3 times a week. But there has been an increase since we started ttc. I'm 30 and he is 31.

Enjoying a wine while I can. Hope everyone has a nice weekend with loads of ttc smile

WillowsTree Fri 09-Aug-13 22:01:02

ItalianWiking if you can handle the wait might be better to not test and just see if af shows up while your friend is staying...then as onelife said you won't get any false negatives from testing early. Its so exciting though, in reality I don't think I'd personally be able to wait!

onelifeonechance Sat 10-Aug-13 11:45:52

Morning all!

Kirstoll - thanks for the detective work, i was racking my brains but couldn't come up with anything! I'm hoping my smep works out next week then!

Thanks for the advice all - think going to try every other day as poor DH was bit exhausted last time and it did end up feeling bit like a chore in the end, which isn't a nice thought for how our little bubba may start in this world - want it to be a good one if you know what i mean wink

Nottalotta My cycles are bit all over - range from 23-26, mostly hover round 24. Think i ovulate day 10ish. Haven't started down the OPK route yet as only 2nd cycle so going to give mother nature a chance...but if she doesn't hurry up then may look into it.

Italianwiking84 Think it does sound a good plan and will be wishing and hoping for you smile

Hello and welcome to choccywoccydoodah and thanks for the advice - helps to know it can work! And as AF was still about last night i did enjoy a cheeky glass of wine so cheers willowstree. Back to the soft stuff now, smep kicks in Monday wink

ItalianWiking84 Sat 10-Aug-13 12:30:36

Morning all
I have decided to wait with testing to after my friend has been here, if af have not yet showed up by that time (and I so much hope af does not show up, fingers crossed) then I test and will be more about the answer... Also because I would need to book a doc app and can't do that either while she is here, so bfp/af is due the 17/18 and I can test the 23th...

ItalianWiking84 Sat 10-Aug-13 18:17:13

Anybody tried these * One Step Ultra Early 20mIU Pregnancy Midstream Tests - Pack of 5.. I just bought them on amazon for 3 pound something
The 100 pack is only around 9 pound but think my bf will kill me if I bought that hmm

Italian I always buy the 10mui ones off eBay, they work out about 8p each! I just ordered a pack of 20 last night smile

WillowsTree Sat 10-Aug-13 19:04:01

I have the 20miu ones off Amazon too...they are "real" tests. But I also ordered the 10miu where you get 15 for about £2, and they are just the strips that you have to use by peeing into a container and dipping the strip. But I'm guessing the 10miu will be more sensitive?

lindamagoo Sat 10-Aug-13 19:21:50

Hey Dosney I see your driving a new bus smile how are you? Hope your ok and that this is the month for you x

seatfor5 Sat 10-Aug-13 19:49:54

Hi Ladies I will be joining you AF has got me a week early sad But on a positive note it means I start the next month early! i know have no idea when my BFP is due will know more when I OV (if I do )

Seatfor5 ttc#4, cycle5, bfp ??

ImaginaryHat Sat 10-Aug-13 19:52:09

I use the v cheap 10 miu strip tests too, so cheap you can test as much as you like without worrying about cost!

internationallove985 Sat 10-Aug-13 19:58:12

Hi I'm joining. I was kicked off the August bus by the witch A.F but then I could get my B.F.P at the end of August who knows.
I was not very hopeful about getting my B.F.P this month as the last time I did the deed was 3 weeks ago. He went away for three weeks and was back Thursday. I saw him yesterday we talked for a while as we had a lot to talk about. We managed to D.T.D last night and this morning so I can safely say I am back in the baby making mode.
Good luck and lots of baby dust to you all. I look forward to hearing of all the B.F.P's xxx

ItalianWiking84 Sat 10-Aug-13 20:52:56

Ladies, thanks for all of your recommendations for the pregnancy sticks, wish I had known there were the even more sensitive too but I am a rookie and only found these by accidents... But I am starting with these 5 and they should be here mid next week from amazon, luckily it was free delivery smile if I need more (still hoping not) then ill order a larger pot and the 10ish sticks... And then hide them from my bf, so he won't start thinking I am going mad... Lol
I btw always piac, don't know why, but feel better about doing it like that...

Bambi27 Sat 10-Aug-13 22:42:39

Hey can I join?? Ttc #2, ttc 10 months, bfp/af due 24th! Good luck everyone!!!

internationallove985 Sat 10-Aug-13 22:54:04

Hi Bambi. I'd like to be the first to welcome you aboard. xxx

Bambi27 Sat 10-Aug-13 22:54:33

Ah thanks!! smile xx

internationallove985 Sat 10-Aug-13 22:54:34

Hi Bambi. I'd like to be the first to welcome you aboard. xxx

internationallove985 Sat 10-Aug-13 22:55:40

Apologies I posted twice there by accident. xx

Bambi27 Sat 10-Aug-13 22:58:11

Ha ha no worries I feel doubley welcomed!! How's this month going for you?? I've seen you're back in Dtd mode!!

RaRaZ Sun 11-Aug-13 08:31:55

International, is your DP/FWB (I have no idea which he is now, things may have changed since I last read one of your posts) on board with you?

internationallove985 Sun 11-Aug-13 12:06:19

Hi RaRaz. It still doesn't feel right yet to call him my D.P and no it still did not feel right to tell about my hopes of getting pregnant I can't risk him running for the hills I mean if he does that after/if I fall pregnant then it's his loss. I've coped very well being a single parent to D.D so I'm sure I'll cope just as well this time around. I don't think I'll ever be able to be honest. Without going into great detail it was very different Friday and yesterday morning he made slow and gentle love to me both times .xx

Also Hi Bambi27. This month is so far so good will be amazing if I see the month out with my B.F.P as I'll be testing between 29-31 Aug if the witch doesn't turn up. xx

ImaginaryHat Sun 11-Aug-13 12:32:47

Hi seat sorry af got you so early, at least you know and you can get on with the next cycle without enduring the 2ww in its entirety!

Af visited me a few days early this cycle too, so am kind of straddling the August and September buses at the mo as not sure if bfp would be end of Aug or early Sept, although officially staying on the august bus as my recent cycles have been on the short side! Good luck for this month.

Nottalotta Sun 11-Aug-13 18:53:04

Hello noobies and welcome aboard!!

Jeez i'm getting impatient!! CD 7 for me, and DH been away for a few days and is returning tomorrow. Hopefully having had to 'go without' for the weekend will mean that we dtd plenty this week! I had a 25 day cycle last time so seems that my fertile window will start tomorrow for a week. According to my app! blush

Can't wait to get cracking!

Hendricks Sun 11-Aug-13 20:29:24

Hi everyone. I've been booted off August's bus, so I thought I'd hop on this one if that's okay? Bit more organised this cycle - actually have some folic acid now.

Good luck everyone! And if someone could add me onto the bus that'd be lovely.

Hendricks TTC#3 Cycle 2 Due 5th

internationallove985 Sun 11-Aug-13 20:38:15

Hi Hendricks. Welcome aboard. I was also booted off the August Bus. xx

Positivementakattitude Sun 11-Aug-13 21:26:46

Hiya ladies can I jump on the bus please ?

TTC #1 C2 ... Day 2 of AF
One angel July hence ttc was shock just want to be pregnant NOW

Gutted but glad AF as first since mc although dr recommended wait one cycle we tried and failed. I used clearblue opk but showed 7 flashing and 2 blanks no peak not quite sure even if I ovulated and this was day 17 started cycle was 30 days long so BFP due 7th or 9 th sept yay

Doing whatever it takes this month would love some hand holding and advice not sure whether to go for gold or get the ovul pack again maybe 20 stick boots one? Wouldn't rate clearblue tbh but maybe as first since mc I didn't ovulate?

Don't even know when to start testing really when possible to ovulate and each app has different info any help ? Please

Xxxx

Positivementakattitude Sun 11-Aug-13 21:52:59

Just read rest of past posts and cheap HPT and opks off to amazon I go !

And international same here kicked off by the bitch of a witch 2 days late had me hoping ! Oh well beep beep on board for sept let's make it our month ladies xxx

internationallove985 Sun 11-Aug-13 22:44:26

Hi Positivementakattitude. Welcome to the thread. Sorry to hear about your m.c. and he/she will always be your baby. I too had a m.c prior to having my D.D, there would have been 11 months between them. However I do often wonder if my first pregnancy would have been sucsessful would I had my D.D. Well, that's something I'll never know. My angel will always have a very special place in heart. As far as I'm concerned I have 2 D.C and hopefully one day I will have 3 D.C. xx

nataaaaliee Sun 11-Aug-13 23:30:34

hi girls!
gutted im having to join the sept bus! was on a big bus before and got my bfp!! but heartbroken too have had a m/c. Trying to stay positive! this is month 1 ttc since my angel! due a bfp on 9th approx!

Lots of baby dust xxthanks

Positivementakattitude Sun 11-Aug-13 23:59:50

Thanks internationallove985, yeh very tru hard ATM as if preg was successful would now be 15 Wks and have had my first scan .... Hence the urge to feel pregnant as I didn't know and when I did told chances are had miscarried, first ever preg at 26 so now just want to feel the good exciting parts of pregnancy instead of fear loss and sadness.

Fingers crossed 3rd dc on its way baby dust in huge amounts sent to u... Have just purchased 25 ovul sticks and 5 preg tests 10miu very hopefully I know lol but can poas like crazy as bargain all for only 6 quid paid 20 for 10 ovul prob another ten on preg tests - that were just obsessive and looking back Ludacris ! Still blaming hormones lol

In first preg I had a period has any one experienced this?

Hi Nateeeelie welcome aboard im new to this thread too, very sorry to hear about your mc big hugs my first AF since mc July started yday bfn so on sept bus loads of baby dust to you .... Hopefully our Angels can help each other like we do on these threads as internationallove985 says they will Always be our babies xx even though makes me cry just typing that

nataaaaliee Mon 12-Aug-13 00:44:04

Thankyoou positivementakatitude! Its good being able to chat with women who know how hard a m/c is, all my friends seem to have sticky beans! heres to us smile having the stickiest beans in sept! Lovely to think our wee angels helping us along the way! Do you have any orher dc? smile xxx

Positivementakattitude Mon 12-Aug-13 01:04:56

I know the feeling on that bf had dc2 yday another due sept and other expecting dc 3 jani would have been march so all close friends preg makes it all harder and defo help even my mom doesn't understand and at family meal went through hour of her sayinghowmuch she wants a baby it's hard but also diff for people who never been thru as anything they say uis wrong!

And lovely to think that gives comfort and no first pregnancy found out preg and miscarrying all in same 10 seconds ... Wbu ? Xx

nataaaaliee Mon 12-Aug-13 01:08:44

I feel you, i am genuinely happy for them but its very hard. One minuite your having a beautiful baby and the next its ripped away!

im in the same boat, first ever pregnancy, found out 2 weeks before m/c happened to have a bit of brown spotting told my midwife and she got me an appt at the epu and they told me that the baby had no heartbeat and my levels were dropping. Then 5 days later it happened! xxxxx

Positivementakattitude Mon 12-Aug-13 01:54:37

Yeah same here I love my god children to bits just the luck of the draw some women have it easy in that sense saying that another friend has been trying for 3 yrs and now cons IVF so to her I should be lucky? Such a personal thing no one can understand until they go through it and oh no Hun so sorry must have Been awful its hard finding out one thing and another straight away but also feel at least didn't have chance to get too excited but the. On other hand felt horrible only feeling the bad part I had took a HPT about 7 Wks prior And was neg wasn't actively trying but we both wanted a baby as own place gud jobs etc etc and I came on couple days after period hadnt had one for about 5 weeks and one night started bleeding and in awful pain for hours acty joked saying if I imagined how labour felt that would be it hours on toilet not knowing used a tampon tmi sorry then next morn in agony got up took it out to find clot after clot and what I now know to be my little baby I wrapped in tissue took to docs she was horrible done test positive cervix was closed that was fri but she said had prob miscarried and threw my baby in the bin! Couldn't get appt til the wed at Epau so I went to a and e as had to know they took bloods and HCG was 739 so held hope as was only bleeding pinkish not even a period on sun HCG dropped to 149 labelled complete miscarriage ! Had scan on the tues and just an empty hole ... Worst feeling of my life wouldn't wish on my enemy.

So sorry you had to go thru this an still question why some women can pop them kids out and other clearly good mothers to be get robbed , just means we will cherish every second once we get chance.

It was hot around then And amount of preg women on fb moanjng about heat I wanted to give them what for lol but bit my tongue and hoped for bfp wasn't my time maybe lucky number 9

Did you wait one period or no we decided to let nature decide and Mother Nature sure did lol I've read so many conflicting things and nurse said wait so prob good that its happened like this as in having a period just don't want to wait grrrrrr always so impatient ! Lol xxxxxx

jaykay987 Mon 12-Aug-13 08:59:50

wow.Reading everyones stories are so interesting - everyone's journey is vert different.
Makes me wonder what type of journey I'll have, as wé pnly started ttc end of june.

I'm on cd1 - so AF arrived to schedule which is good. We're going away for a wedding toward the end of my 2ww which will be a feast of wine/cheese/pate (!) So I plan on taking a dew tests with me, so I know whether it is safe to indulge or not.

Quick question - if I take a test dpo 9 (which will be 4 days before AF due) any chance it might be accurate at all? I've got the sensitive 10miu ones from Amazon.

This wedding will be all about the food and wine (well second to the ceremony obviously!) so I'm hoping sods law means I won't be able to taste any of it :-D

jaykay987 Mon 12-Aug-13 09:01:18

excuse my phones insane text corrections!

ItalianWiking84 Mon 12-Aug-13 09:34:59

jaykay987 Clearblue states that they can detect it from 4 days before AF is due, so I would assume your very sensitive sticks will be able to do the same smile

onelifeonechance Mon 12-Aug-13 09:57:23

Totally understand your dilemma Jaykay987 about the wedding and food thing. Since we've started ttc in July we seem to have weddings and dinner parties coming out of our ears! It's so hard because i don't want to eat or drink anything i shouldn't but also very keen not to rouse suspicion from f&f as want it to be a surprise when we finally do get our bfp and feel ready to tell people. Plus if it takes us a long time to get a bfp don't really want to tell people we're trying cos then they'll all be waiting and knowing. Rather they think we're carefree so it doesn't become a big deal and we feel less pressure (must say all my f&f are excellent and they have never pressured us at all but just know they would all make lovely grandparents etc. so would love it for them as well as for us!)

At a wedding last week i just piled my plate high with a gorgeous cheddar and load of grapes so didn't feel like was missing out too much (then af arrived and i thought of all the lovely brie and stilton i could have consumed if i'd known and not turned into a loony woman completely believing i was pregnant!)

And when friends came to dinner i said i was on the wine spritzers but it was just cordial mixed with fizzy water! What is everyone else doing about not drinking with f&f? Are you telling people you're ttc or just avoiding things and hoping people don't notice? I just know my bf would know instantly if i said no to a glass of wine!! I wouldn't mind at all if i had a bfp and she sussed, but when you're just trying and then it turns out af is paying you a call just feel want to keep that to myself. Going to stay with family this weekend and don't know what to say when they offer a wine!!!

Wishing everyone on the bus lots of luck for this month, bfps here we come smile

onelifeonechance Mon 12-Aug-13 10:08:16

Hey nottalotta just realised we are cycle buddies! I'm CD7 today so one day behind you. The ov calendar also says this is the week for me so happy dtdeeding and glad someone else will be going through the 2ww with me smile Have fun this week wink

ChubbyKitty Mon 12-Aug-13 10:08:21

Hooray I found it!

My peculiar bleeding has gone now thank fuck and I can actually dtd again but it's too late now for august so here I am!

Chubbykitty ttc #1 cycle 3 bfp due 5th September (according to the app)

ItalianWiking84 Mon 12-Aug-13 10:22:43

onelifeonechance I did my partying when at UNI and before we decided TTC I didn't really drink a lot or often, so I honestly don't think anybody have noticed that I don't drink now. I am also the one driving, because my DP do not have a driving license, so that is an excuse as well. I love cheese, but luckily not brie and the others, that you usually should stay away from, so again there nobody would notice. So so fare, I have managed to stay away from questions and looks, but know, that if we f.eg. go for sushi with friends, which we do often, then I need to come up with some kind of explanation, haven't figured out which yet tho. My friend is arriving on Sunday, so hoping she wont notice anything, luckily we are driving a lot around to see things, so she wont take notice of none drinking, so just have to stay away from sushi places mainly smile

Nulanoo Mon 12-Aug-13 10:23:51

Hi I got my AF today I'm guessing this is my first proper one since coming off the pill so I should really start this as cycle 1 I guess? So we are trying for our first baby!!!! Both very excited, is there a good app anyone recommends for tracking ovulation etc? Xx

We're off to a wedding in France this coming Thursday, it's my last chance to indulge so the timing could not have been any more perfect. I come off the pill the end of next week so I shall be certainly making the most of a whole weekend of completely free food a drink! (And our ds is staying at home so we get to indulge even more!)

We didn't tell anyone last time we were ttc as we lived away from home so we didn't have any questions asked. When we came home for a few days I just said I was driving or on antibiotics etc. That bit me in the arse though when we went home a month later for New Year's Eve, I had found out 2 weeks before that I actually was pg, and I had 15 friends asking me all night if I was 'with child'. Obviously the more pissed they got, the more they asked! I had a bleed that night and was petrified but all was ok and I got to see DS on scan ultra early grin

onelifeonechance Mon 12-Aug-13 10:25:22

...actually i'm CD6, can't count, maths was never my strong point!

Hello chubbykitty and hooray for the end of your bleeding and good luck for this month!

Good luck nulanoo! We just did every other day smile

ChubbyKitty Mon 12-Aug-13 10:41:12

Thanks onelifesmile I was starting to feel like an autumn leaf shrivelling up.

The app I'm using is Period Diary Pro. There is a free version but it was very limited and I think this only cost 69p so not too bad.

onelifeonechance Mon 12-Aug-13 10:42:13

Sadly Italianwiking84 i'm known for my love of wine - not at all in large quantities - often only have 1-2 glasses max at a time, and before ttc didn't drink much at all during nights at home. Haven't drunk at all past month apart from one glass of wine when on af last week as needed to have some good reason for seeing her!
But i've stupidly had those conversations with my friends in the past (when having a man let alone ttc seemed like it would never happen!) that as soon as someone says they're on antibiotics and they're in a relationship then it is a cause for suspicion so just don't think i could bring myself to say the words without smirking and giving the entire game away!

The driving one is a good one and i've been using that recently but when we're staying with family for the weekend i've got no excuse to drive anywhere!

Think i'm maybe thinking too much about it. Problem is i can't lie, i develop this look that just is blantantly obvious and all my close f&f know it so i've got no chance! I honestly wouldn't mind if i was pregnant and they guessed as it would be kinda funny - but when i'm not and just in the dreaded 2ww i actually just felt a bit silly last time avoiding everything and then af turned up. Enjoy France choccywoccydoodah and eat some scrummy cheese and have an extra glass for me please smile

ItalianWiking84 Mon 12-Aug-13 11:39:47

onelifeonechance I see your point, defn, and I have the same as you, I cant tell a lie and if I try, I cant bluff it trough over even remember it hmm so thats why I usually stick to my driving lol... But I see the dilemma, if you are staying over, then the car is not a good excuse.
Now I dont know, how "big" you are, and I dont say this to offend you at all, but could you say, you were on a diet and didn't wanted to drink to much? And stick to like a glass of vine, that you just take small sips from? I dont mean this in any bad way, but I know friends in the pasts, who have used this one, with no question mark, and 4 weeks later told they were pregnant.

onelifeonechance Mon 12-Aug-13 15:38:39

Italianwiking84 Yes i hadn't thought of that one, that is a good excuse! I'm no Kate Moss but i'm not that big either so it may not go unnoticed as a reason but think if anyone questioned it i'd be able to say it in terms of a 'healthier lifestyle' without feeling like i'm fibbing too much as it's true, i'm just not telling them the reason why! Hey thanks! smile I know it's a daft thing to worry about but it really has been an issue for me as we want to keep everything to ourselves until we feel ready to tell (and obviously have a bfp!)

How are you getting along? Are you managing to avoid symptom spotting?

ItalianWiking84 Mon 12-Aug-13 16:03:17

Onelifeonechance- I think the "healthier lifestyle" is great smile and it's not daft thinking about it...
I am getting alone fine, thanks smile besides my cramps in my lower stomach which I don't think is mind playing a game, because even at work I still have them, they are manageable and feels like period cramps but just way to early. I normally only gets cramps the morning of the day when my period comes and af is not due till the 18th so still crossing fingers that the af does not come smile

dontsqueezetheteabag Mon 12-Aug-13 16:13:44

Me too!!

TTC#1, cycle 1 BFP 10th September

onelifeonechance Mon 12-Aug-13 18:02:34

That sounds good italianwiking84, will be keeping my fingers crossed for you smile

It's my fertile week this week so we've decided to dtd every other day so hoping for good things, then the 2ww starts....! Do you think if we get our bfps time will still go this slowly?!

Out of interest is anyone taking vitamin d? My folic acid tablets i bought this month have it combined but just wondered what others are doing?

Welcome aboard dontsqueezetheteabag smile

nataaaaliee Mon 12-Aug-13 18:41:26

Onelifeonechance. Im taking a multi vitamin which my lovely midwife gave me before it is folic acid combined with vitamin D smile every little helps

mama31 Tue 13-Aug-13 10:32:17

Hey there ladies! I've just hopped off the august bus, was very unrealisticly on it anyway as came off pill on 22nd july. But got 1st proper af yesterday so can start ttc properly now, although not sure about my length of cycle at present but can kind of guess my stats!

Ttc#2 cycle 1 (I think) bfp around 7-12th sept (depending exactly when I ovulate)

Good luck everyone! Stay positive! I have great vibes for sept bus and a May baby would just be perfect smile

ChubbyKitty Tue 13-Aug-13 12:19:28

Beautifulboy1 Tue 13-Aug-13 16:09:40

Hi ladies,

I am on the August bus at the moment but popped in to say hello! my husband and I and my friend and her husband were trying for a baby last year, after a few months I started drinking Actimel and fell pregnant that month, delighted I told my friend and she tried it, she fell the month after! I'm not saying it is magic juice but may have given our bodies something we were lacking?!
Anyway I now have a 10 month old and trying for number 2!
I just thought I would share in case you wanted to try, can't hurt right!
Good luck mummies to be xxx

Gingerandcocoa Tue 13-Aug-13 16:55:01

Regarding this here actimel thing...I have some Morrisons savers strawberry flavour version of it, will this work?

If not, it's still damn tasty.

mama31 Tue 13-Aug-13 20:41:03

Actimel is pretty gross.....but needs must I guess haha!

Morning all.. I'm still very firmly on the August bus but poked my head in here and almost had a panic attack seeing that no one in here had updated your list for AGES! grin

Anyone joining the bus please post your stats like this-

Name ttc#X, cycleX, bfpX

Makes it a lot easier for people to update the list rather than reading through paragraphs of random chatter which is what I just did! gringringrin

I think someone on here should start doing the list... Any takers!??! smilegrin

And where's Disney? She was doing it before... Haven't seen her post on here for a while... Hope she's ok!

Ok I'm running back to the August bus now.. Hope I didn't miss anyone or get any stats wrong?

X

DisneyDiva87 Wed 14-Aug-13 08:51:21

Ha! Gilly! I was just thinking I haven't seen you in ages (my bad) and here you are cross posting with me.

gillywillywoo Wed 14-Aug-13 08:51:28

Fucking hell Disney we are so in sync with eachother!

DisneyDiva87 Wed 14-Aug-13 08:52:36

It's actually freaked me out a little, it's too weird

gillywillywoo Wed 14-Aug-13 08:55:47

Londa popped her head in but you missed her!

How are you doing disney? thanks

Cd23 for me today! Got a positive digi OPK on cd20 smile

We dtd cd18, cd20 (twice - am and pm) and cd22.

Annoyed we couldn't quite manage to dtd on cd21 but hoping that our double effort on cd20 was enough!grin
What do you reckon? Eeeek!

I'm going to disneyland Paris in October for Halloween... So excited. Going with DH, my sister, her husband and their 2 kids. My sister is pregnant and I'm hoping I will be by that time as well! Then I can hang out with her whilst the rest of them are on the rides! X

gillywillywoo Wed 14-Aug-13 08:56:12

Hahaha Disney it IS weird!!!!!!!

mama31 Wed 14-Aug-13 08:59:50

Might try the pink ones then chubby!!! Haha!! Thanks disney for updating the bus! Good luck gilly on the august bus, hope its your time!!!! smile

DisneyDiva87 Wed 14-Aug-13 09:11:15

Oh no!!! I just had a mental week at work and hardly had time to get lunch never mind get on here plus that was the week hubby started back to work after 6 months signed off and he was told to come off tablets to start new ones so he was very ill as well and then the dog joined him. Thankfully hubby is doing better now but the dog still seems a bit off he's 12 sad. Raging I missed Londa! How is she?

I'm CD10 have to remember to start doing my OPK's again. I'm feeling the TTC crazy coming on this month already. This month will be my month!!! I think doing it twice in 1 day is a very good effort and if one was just before bed you could technically count it as CD21.

I'm VERY jealous you're going to Disneyland Paris, can I come along too?

gillywillywoo Wed 14-Aug-13 09:19:41

Ahhh mental week at work... I know what that's like!!!! Glad your hubby is better and hope your dog gets better too!! smile

Linda didnt stay for long.. Just popped in and said hi! She said she would be back soon for another catch up smile

Dtd twice in one day is unheard of in my household but somehow we did it! Haha. First one was in the morning as second one was late in the evening maybe around 11.00pm.
Really hope we've done it this month... Time will tell!!!!

I'm sooooo excited about disneyland. We have tickets for the Disney Halloween party on 31st oct too.. The park is open til 1am! REALLY want to get my bfp but at the same time id love to go on all the rides! Haha grin

Bfp would be better though smile

DisneyDiva87 Wed 14-Aug-13 09:27:37

If you are only a couple months pregnant you can probably still go on some if not all the rides Gilly a pal of mine found out she was pregnant after being in Florida and she panicked cause she had been on all the rides (including ones at Busch Gardens!) and the Dr said not to worry, cause the embryo/foetus is so small there would be no harm in it.

It's different if you know you are pregnant though, not sure I could get on one just in case! Plus it'll be nice for your sister to have someone to wait with hergrin

I've never been to the Halloween party but I went to the New Year one once. You're making me want to go back.

gillywillywoo Wed 14-Aug-13 10:30:37

Hmm my sister said the same thing but no matter how small the embryo and early in the pregnancy I just don't think I could go on any of the big rides knowing that I'm pregnant! I'd be too scared!

Anyway.. I may not be pregnant by then in which case I will go on all the rides and will LOVE IT! But I'm really hoping and praying for a bfp!

GinandStripes Wed 14-Aug-13 10:49:56

Hey All,

Room for a littleun. I'm buzzing with positive vibes about this month.

Ooh theres been lots of activity on here! Just had a catch up, not so easy when i only have access on my phone.

Hmm well DH returned from his weekend away in a bad mood. Not much hope for dtd monday but DID manage yesterday, although it didn't end in the right way place blush !! According the the app ....oh i can't remember!

Anyway thanks for the updated list disney, i can't easily do it on my phone or would have had a go.

onelife cycle buddies, great!! I am feeling calm at the moment but veer wildly.

(off to check the app)

DisneyDiva87 Wed 14-Aug-13 11:26:05

All my favourite rides are the ones you are allowed on when pregnant anyway; haunted mansion, small world, peter pan, buzz lightyear, pirates... I'll stop there before I end up listing every single ride.

Nottalotta Wed 14-Aug-13 11:29:12

Good grief i'm such a dunce. I got on the wrong bus!! (potentially) my last cycle was 25 days so if next one is the same bfp/af is due on the 30th august!! Got me thinking when i looked at the list and saw onelife bfp due on the 1st. Eejit. It was my first cycle since coming off depo so they may not contine to be 25 days.

DisneyDiva87 Wed 14-Aug-13 15:51:22

Hello waves

Af is just about to appear so am moving over from the August bus and marking my spot. Saw my gp today who has referred me for a blood test (tomorrow eek) and scan to check everything is ok as we've been ttc for 12 months and I'm nearly 40 and have been having increasingly painful periods over the last six months.

I'm ttc number 2 smile. No true cycle yet so I'm lurking!

mama31 Wed 14-Aug-13 20:16:20

Hi choccy! I was lurking on the august bus but on cycle 1 now so all good! U never know tho wing it and see what happens!!!

Hey Disney, good to see you back! Sorry you've had a mad week with work and all the illness at home, glad hubby is feeling better. How's he settling in to his new tablets?

You and Gilly are making me jealous with all your talk of Disneyland, I've not been since I was little and would love to go again. Maybe in a couple of years with a toddler eh?!

Nulanoo Wed 14-Aug-13 21:21:08

Hello smile please can I join the bus too we are ttc#1 cycle 1 bfp 8th September (I think/hope!)

VJONES1985 Wed 14-Aug-13 21:24:00

I'm avoiding this bus for as long as possible!! If I have a 28 day cycle,my bfp is due on Aug 29th but I have no idea how long my cycle is so af may surprise me before then. Trying to stay positive though and keeping my seat on the August bus smile

clareyfarey Wed 14-Aug-13 22:06:41

Very good disney!!!!! Haha!!!!

mama31 Thu 15-Aug-13 09:12:07

Just wishing I came off the pill a few months ago to get my cycle back to normal before ttc! I went to the gp before my hols in june and said I'd be ttc end july/beg of august and should I come off the pill now to get it out of my system. She said no, go and enjoy your holiday as you could get pregnant from skipping one pill or straight away when u come off it!! I know its still early days but if I'd the opportunity again I'd come off it well before ttc as it was pretty nasty coming off it anyway let alone waiting for a normal cycle to return!!! Just a thought! But if u know anyone thinking of ttc in nxt few months tell them "get off the pill now!!!! (And just be careful for few months)" I know I'm being totally impatient tho!!! Never realised ttc would be so obsessive (my first was a lovely surprise so never actually ttc before) its all very technical!!! Hey ho! That's my rant over ladies!!!

ChubbyKitty Thu 15-Aug-13 13:10:22

So many people around are pregnant, or just popped. Except for me and my friend who are actually trying!

It's impossible not to be happy for every one of them though. I can't wait to meet the little lady that comes out in September (the dress I bought her is her going home outfit *proud friend*)

Owlie84 Thu 15-Aug-13 15:00:35

Hello! Can I grab a seat please?

Owlie84 ttc#1, cycle 4, bfp 11th Sept

Really hoping for a more productive month this time!

CoffeeGuzzler Thu 15-Aug-13 16:16:05

Hello everyone.

Total newbie here. Confused by all the abbreviation. smile My next period is due in September. Does that mean I may join this bus?

mama31 Thu 15-Aug-13 16:38:32

Yes of course coffeeguzzler! What date is it due?? That will hopefully be ur bfp date which is ur positive pregnancy test!!! Is this ur first child? And first month of trying??

Hello owlie!! Grab a seat and good luck!!! smile

Yes chubby its such a blessing for anyone of course u are happy for ur friend, my friend is due october and I'm very excited too!!! Hope we can join them soon with our very own exciting news smile

CoffeeGuzzler Thu 15-Aug-13 16:50:35

Read on one of the other threads that bfp means 'big fat positive'. :D Fantastic.

So I am ttc#1 Cycle 1 bfp 14th September

Well..we weren't really trying but we did do it sans rubber about four times (yeah I know..four whole times) last month and then I got my period last night. And a proper 28 day cycle at that. Never in my life has that happened before. I am usually 30-35 days. Surprisingly, disappointed a bit. For fourteen years I tried to avoid getting preggers thinking the moment I have unprotected sex I'll be slammed with a baby. Apparently it doesn't work that way!!

So properly ttc from this month. Husband overjoyed at the idea of endless sex.

Apologies if I spoke too much. Very nervous/excited. Slapping myself for obsessing.

mama31 Thu 15-Aug-13 17:48:49

Awh coffee I so know the feeling! I've been avoiding it for 12 years (my first is 12 yrs old) but my husband has no children of his own and we are finally ttc!!! He is also overjoyed at the idea of endless sex and has me hounded day and night whether I am ovulating or not!!! Lol but we are also very excited and its hard not to get obsessed with it all! Which is why I am on here trying to get it all out of my system with like minded ladies!! Good luck to u keep me posted with ur progress!!

Mistyautumn Thu 15-Aug-13 18:44:16

Hi all

Can I join pleas

Mistyautumn ttc#1 cycle 4 BFP 18th

I am so glad I found this website.

mama31 Thu 15-Aug-13 19:28:48

I'm just coming up to ovulation (prob start of next week) but we have only DTD once! I think I need to formally invite hubby to have sex, perhaps I should post a card.

CoffeeGuzzler Fri 16-Aug-13 12:57:25

DisneyDiva, I think you missed me on the passenger list. grin

Planning to buy my first ovulation kit tomorrow-ish. Any recommendations? Fairly expensive stuff!! Who knew?!

Also, what is DTD? Door to door?! Dawn till dusk?!

keepswimming1 Fri 16-Aug-13 13:22:51

coffee doing the dead smile

charleslingus Fri 16-Aug-13 13:24:36

Hello everyone
Can I jump on please? On my phone but would be grateful if someone could add me please?
I used to be luxlisbon82 but I've namechanged

Charleslingus ttc#3 cycle 3 bfp due friday the 13th (eeeek)

On cycle day 1, af decided to come mid shag which along with being a bit yuck was also upsetting as was holding out till tomorrow to test. Put me off my stride a little!

Anyway, onwards and upwards, anyone poas soon? I didn't even get to do that this month so need some good poas suspense from you guys! Good luck!

charleslingus Fri 16-Aug-13 13:30:25

Ha, coffee I think keep swimming means doing the deed.

It's not necrophilia

mama31 Fri 16-Aug-13 13:44:23

Disney, there is no need for a card or invite....just a wee ann summers number on u should do the trick ;) works every time in my house haha!!!

keepswimming1 Fri 16-Aug-13 13:45:46

LOL OOPS

mama31 Fri 16-Aug-13 13:48:51

Hahaha!!! Funny charleslingus!!

CoffeeGuzzler Fri 16-Aug-13 13:56:24

Bold: Keepswimming, that did leave me very worried for a second or two. But then I am the girl who at a work meeting once said 'libido' but meant 'motive'. blush

Bold: charleslingus ha! your screen name is very funny and probably very apt.

CoffeeGuzzler Fri 16-Aug-13 13:57:33

Oh so you don't have to type 'bold' to make it bold.

onelifeonechance Fri 16-Aug-13 14:04:27

coffeguzzler i love you..that has just made me laugh and brightened my day.. thank you smile

charleslingus Fri 16-Aug-13 14:09:29

I thought you were calling me bold charleslingus, made me feel fearless.

Motive/libido slip up is brilliant and pretty Freudian. How did you recover from that one?

CoffeeGuzzler Fri 16-Aug-13 14:27:20

Luckily I work in advertising where people usually see the funny side of things. A guy said...'hmmm that definitely sounds like a pretty big libido'...and everyone lost their straight faces. I think I reached for the cake plate which is my default mechanism in any given situation.

onelifeonechance I read your post on one of the other threads. Yes I too have my maternity leave fully planned out. Cycle 1 ttc by the way. Psycho much?

PurpleGeekyGirl Fri 16-Aug-13 15:32:26

Af finally arrived properly today after keeping me waiting for 2 days (grr). So my dates need to be amended slightly:

Purplegeekygirl ttc#2 cycle 13 bfp 9 sept

Maybe the conception vits havelengthened my cycle a bit? It has arrived exactly 14 days after I ovulated tho so that's good smile and no bruise after my blood test yesterday either, double yay.

Happy Friday everyone xx

ChubbyKitty Fri 16-Aug-13 15:57:16

I felt terribly sick this morning. Maybe I am pregnant with a superhero baby?

theborrower Fri 16-Aug-13 16:02:53

Hello, checking in! On day 14, had loads CM since day 12. Does anyone know what day this might mean I'm ovulating? Did the deed last night, would have been at it a bit more recently but been shattered the last week bc of work. How ppl with teeny babies manage to conceive a second soon after I've no idea ;-) Have warned hubby to conserve his energy this wk / he looked at me blankly before I explained that it was that time of the month. I'm not sure he really has a clue sometimes. Does anyone else find that??

lucyfluff Fri 16-Aug-13 16:08:21

Oh yes!! My hubbie looked at me blankly when I told him I was ovulating too!! Think he's just glad I want to Dtd more!!!

onelifeonechance Fri 16-Aug-13 16:12:03

I know coffeeguzzler it's like being back at school, I'll be etching phantom due dates into my pencil tin with my compass next hmm

theborrower Fri 16-Aug-13 16:30:28

Lucyfluff -LOL. I feel a bit guilty about that, but hey, he can't complain too much.

I remember having to tell him how cycles worked last time around which I was a bit :-s about. He either wasn't listening or has forgotten. To be fair though, my choice of contraception has meant that i haven't had periods for years, the whole time I've known him, apart from when TTC

CoffeeGuzzler Fri 16-Aug-13 16:32:21

theborrower my husband is the same. The deed is all he is concerned about. He hasn't a clue dates days temps eggs whatever. Come to think of it, neither do I. hmm

mama31 Fri 16-Aug-13 17:05:53

Libido/motive same thing coffee!!! Haha!!!

nettle86 Fri 16-Aug-13 18:57:12

Can I jump on board please?

Cheers!

internationallove985 Fri 16-Aug-13 19:11:40

Hi I hope everyone's well and welcome to all the newbies.
I'm in my fertile period. He's coming to mine for about 9. Going to watch the soaps very soon and get a quick bath in the adverts of corrie. I'm feeling horny beyond belief probably natures way of saying "The time is right".
Planning to make love all night and tommorow morning as well.
Sending everyone baby dust and lots of luck. xx

BlueC2 Sat 17-Aug-13 00:09:06

Evening/early morning all! Well...AF has kept me waiting this month but has just arrived this evening 4 days late so the September bus it is! Looking forward to sharing this journey with you all. On the ipad which makes stats update v tricky but will add myself to the stats list tomorrow but I'm Ttc number two, have a 14mo DS and this will be our second proper cycle of trying.

mama31 Sat 17-Aug-13 00:09:45

All night!! Wow that's impressive!! I thought twice in a row was good!!!!

mama31 Sat 17-Aug-13 00:10:58

ChubbyKitty Sat 17-Aug-13 10:40:36

internationallove985 Sat 17-Aug-13 11:18:13

Well my night kind of went to plan. Although we didn't quite manage all night. On reflection now I didn't think we would be a girl can dream, can't she. (L.O.L)
. He fell asleep at around 10.30 pm so we had around 90 mins last night then again this morning from around 9-10. I only see him most Weds and every Fri so I have to make the most of it and last night especially with int being one of my fertile days. (big smile)
Also I nearly forget welcome to Bluec2 xx

coco808 Sat 17-Aug-13 12:43:10

Hello love ladies!! May I please join your bus?? smile
coco808 ttc # 1, cycle 2, BFP due 21st??

internationallove985 Sat 17-Aug-13 13:17:45

Hi coco808. It's lovely to welcome you. xx

ChubbyKitty Sat 17-Aug-13 13:30:23

Also in Asda last night I saw a baby superman outfit omgggsmile

And a t shirt for tiny girls with a cat wearing glasses.

Best things in Asda Volume 14

ImaginaryHat Sat 17-Aug-13 13:46:46

Hey chubby glad your bleeding stopped and you've been able to dtd eventually! Superhero baby sounds awesome!

CoffeeGuzzler Sat 17-Aug-13 14:58:23

Hey Chubby glad you are feeling better. Superhero baby haha!

Welcome aboard Coco smile

mama31 Sat 17-Aug-13 19:18:17

Well I've had quite a bit of good news over the last few days....just a few things that will make life easier (especially if we are going to have a baby) so I am feeling very positive that this could be my month!!! Things are falling in to place and I would just be ecstatic if we could get a bfp this month as would be the icing on the cake smile I think the September bus is the one to be on ladies!!!! I have a good vibe! smile smile

mama31 Sat 17-Aug-13 19:19:31

Welcome coco!!! This is the bus for u!!! smile

ChubbyKitty Sat 17-Aug-13 21:55:53

I had a twinge today(enough of one to write home about) and a small smear of old blood.

Does this mean anything? It wouldn't happen that quickly would it?

jaykay987 Sun 18-Aug-13 00:22:19

Well Im on cd5 and AF has left for a month (hopefully longer).

So Im now "active" on the September bus! I've been getting really broody the past few weeks. So fingers crossed this is my bus!
I ovulated (according to temps) on cd17 last month, so I need to ensure DH and I dtd several times over the bank holiday weekend as that should be my fertile time!

Good luck everyone! Hope this is a lucky bus for us all!

(I've lost the plot. I've spent the day watching 2 episodes short of a full series of One Born today! Plus have worked out if this is my month, my EDD would be my birthday week..!). Think Ill be posting a lot the next few weeks to keep me sane!

charleslingus Sun 18-Aug-13 08:35:31

I need to change my stats and would be really grateful if anyone gets a chance,

Charleslingus ttc#3 cycle 3 bfp 15th Sept.

Chubby, how many dpo are you? It could be something! But depends where you are in your cycle I suppose

Jaykay, not sure if this is the right place to keep sane, but you'll be in fantastic company.

theborrower Sun 18-Aug-13 09:35:14

Well, I'm now on CD16, and DH didn't want to do the deed last night either. I can see us not managing to conceive this month! It has been a busy and tiring couple of weeks though.

Also having second thoughts about TTC right now as I'm learning to drive - instructor thinks I'll be ready to sit my test in October. If I did get pregnant this month, it means I'll be sitting my test in the first trimester. Is this wise?? I had a fairly good pregnancy last time, but I do remember being pretty knackered in the first trimester. what do people think? Put off TTC until I've passed my test, or keep going and if necessary, just postpone my test until I'm further along and hope that I'll be well? I know I'm getting ahead of myself a wee bit, but interested in hearing your thoughts about sitting a test while pg! Might post in pregnancy forum too.

worriedmum100 Sun 18-Aug-13 09:43:38

Hello, room for a little (and slightly desperate one)?

Worried - ttc dc#2, cycle 18sad cd1, af/bfp due approx 19th

Haven't had chance to read through thread properly yet but will be back. V kind dp has taken ds to park so I could lie in (and cry about af...) But have decided
to try and be positive. Have decided to smile, focus on enjoying my ds, stop drinking alcohol and caffeine, eat more healthily, ring the changes with the obsessional ttc gadgets and buy a clear blue fertility monitor (temping is soooo 2012 - for me at least!) So in short determined not to lose hope!

ChubbyKitty Sun 18-Aug-13 10:29:15

Charles I don't even know anymore after the 30 day AF. I doubt I've OVd yet because that would mean my body being nice and doing what I tell it.

I've also ran out of OPKshmm

To be fair it was probably gas. And the smear was probably...umm..confused

internationallove985 Sun 18-Aug-13 11:00:48

Hi I've nothing much to report but I just thought I'd drop in and see how everyone is doing. I also see there are some newbies. Welcome aboard!
I'm only fertile till 20th wont see him though till 21st but still going to make love that day, well it wont hurt to practice. xx

charleslingus Sun 18-Aug-13 11:18:08

Ah, of course chubby, well hopefully this is ov (pain is common, bleeding less so but some women do experience spotting around ov) or hopefully implantation, fingers crossed for you!

Theborrower I've been putting off learning to drive for 2 years but as my dh and I work from home and he can drive I haven't been forced to yet, but I know if I have a third dc I will have to learn so the minute I find out I will panic and start lessons.

It's not ideal and should have started when first decided to ttc but it's one of those things I need to be practically forced into.

I don't have too many worries about doing it when pg though, will be way more motivated, but if you really want to be pg I wouldn't put it on hold as it may take as long as it takes to get your license to conceive anyway.

It depends on your age really and how keen you are to have a family within a timescale, just bear in mind the average time to conceive is around 6 months, and if you are close to your test in the first trimester you can always postpone till you feel up to it x

lucyfluff Sun 18-Aug-13 11:48:05

Checking in ladies!! Managed drunken naughties last night!!! I did overdo the wine consumption and have a hangover sad(( not god with a 16mnth ds !!

Still have low period pain cramps ? Anyone else?

The borrower I wouldn't worry about being pg and doing your test etc, other than being tired it shouldn't affect anything! I guess like charlesingus says it depends on if you really need to pass. Good luck anyway smile))

CoffeeGuzzler Sun 18-Aug-13 12:23:47

Happy sunday ladies!

The borrower, a friend of mine took driving test at 9 months pg and passed!! She said that her belly did most of the driving and the examiner woman seemed to have taken pity and passed her. Ha!

AF finally gone so properly ttc now. This is probably TMI, but umm... there is some leakage after the dtd. Not sure how i'm going to upduffed if it refuses to stay in?! Google says it's normal. I sure hope so.

coco808 Sun 18-Aug-13 13:25:30

Thank you Coffee and International! I drowned my sorrows in a bottle of wine last night blush, so I'm feeling a bit delicate today.

Starting clear blue digital tomorrow and temping. Do I have to take the temperature the same time everyday? What happens if I have a lie- in at the weekend?

jaykay987 Sun 18-Aug-13 13:41:23

Coco temping patterns are more accurate if you take at the same time everyday. However you can still see a pattern even if you have a lie in.

I take my temps two hours later at the weekend, and I am still able to see a good pattern.

If you use fertility friend, it takes the time into account, so knows whether to ignore outlying ones or not.

Good luck!

VJONES1985 Sun 18-Aug-13 13:46:35

Coffee - leakage after sex is the semen that is not needed and the less string swimmers. The strong swimmers will still be inside doing their job smile

VJONES1985 Sun 18-Aug-13 13:47:08

strong, I meant...

coco808 Sun 18-Aug-13 14:56:37

Thanks jaykay I will start that from tomorrow morning smile

charleslingus Sun 18-Aug-13 15:10:50

Also, welcome worried sounds like you've got a really positive attitude, I'm sorry af got you but I'm sure keeping positive, being proactive and making lots of healthy changes you are giving yourself all the best chances, good luck for Sept!

My dc' s are away for the weekend- how do we choose to spend it? Sunday In the bloody gym...I think I've got my priorities messed up.

Nulanoo Sun 18-Aug-13 15:44:44

I'm quite new to all this but I think I've got ewcm already even though my AF only stopped in Thursday. Does this mean I'm ovulating now? I've just come off the pill so this is my first proper cycle! Boyfriend is super excited about this!
Hope everyone's enjoying the weekend we are just off to the pub for a pizza! smile

CoffeeGuzzler Sun 18-Aug-13 16:22:51

VJONES, thanks for the reassurance!! Trying to trust my body to do the things it's supposed to do.

Nulanoo, I just had a huge pizza. Totally bloated now. Can easily pass of off as four months gone. blush

theborrower Sun 18-Aug-13 19:01:53

Well we did the deed this afternoon while DD was napping! Got to take the peace and quiet while you can!

Yeah, I might be worrying unnecessarily about it, but I had an off-day last week with my lessons - just tired I think - and was making lots of mistakes. Had a really good lesson the other day though, felt really on the ball. That's why I was/am worried that being pregnant-tired/scatty might affect things

Haven't read through yet. <<waves at everyone aboard->>

Had a fantastic few days at wedding in France, total blowout alcohol wise! My folic acid arrived while away and took my last pill this morning!!
Totally missed our beautiful ds, so we picked him up tonight instead of in the morning grin
Am officially ttc baby number 2 woohoo!!

flame40s Mon 19-Aug-13 01:11:56

Hi all can I join the bus please. Have been reading your posts and found them really helpful and am just picking up the codes used ://

GinandStripes Mon 19-Aug-13 09:45:45

Morning everyone and welcome to all the new travellers on the September Bus of Joy (positive mental attitude!)

AF has officially left and dtd has officially started wink

I've now got 5 apps on my phone tracking my cycle and they all say different things. According to all 5, my fertile week starts tomorrow and continues until the 31st. My boyfriend is over the moon at this news!

I've also got lots of time off work in the next few weeks, so lots of chances for lazy lie ins and afternoon naps. wink

Keeping everything crossed for all of us.

DisneyDiva87 Mon 19-Aug-13 09:58:13

Did I miss anyone?
I'm pretty sure we managed to DTD on the day I ovulated so fx this is my month!

Morning all and welcome to the new passengers!!

Bought my first Clearblue digital ovulation sticks. At work and resisting ripping off to the loo and test right this moment.

Off to France this friday for the weekend and hoping for lots of wine fuelled deed.

englishteacher78 Mon 19-Aug-13 12:09:42

AF leaving today. Hoping I can DH to dtd tonight but he's working until 4 and then as training this evening. Fingers crossed

check this out off to buy some kiwi fruit grin

DisneyDiva87 Mon 19-Aug-13 12:31:39

I wish I could skip forward 2 weeks, I hate this waiting and it's going to be horrible because I'm hopeful... I bet I'm not even pregnant in the end

CoffeeGuzzler Mon 19-Aug-13 12:44:50

Disney I know it's easier said than done and...but no point worrying about it. I'm on proper cycle 1 of ttc #1 and I keep thinking..omg what if I'm infertile?! Totally irrational.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you. It'll happen it'll happen probably has already happened. smile

SuzB83 Mon 19-Aug-13 12:46:09

I'm with you Disney. I'm the most impatient person on the planet. I'm feeling really hopeful this month which is just going to make things worse if I get another bfn! Fingers crossed for you. Roll on September!

DisneyDiva87 Mon 19-Aug-13 13:27:13

nettle86 Mon 19-Aug-13 15:45:00

Oh my goodness this is making me so impatient! Can't believe how much waiting before you can do a test takes over your whole mind....I guess the waiting is good practice for patience for when we have a house full of noisy children-keep positive!

DisneyDiva87 Mon 19-Aug-13 15:47:38

We have to be a distraction for each other.

I'm listening to Tangled soundtrack "At last I see the light, and it's like the fog has lifted..." I wanna watch Tangled.

DisneyDiva87 Mon 19-Aug-13 18:25:41

I think this is going to be one of 'those' months confused. I swear I have a pre-cramp feeling and I'm only 1dpo maybe 2. Oh! Or maybe this is ovulation! I got an almost positive opk on sat so it was either just before or just after the hormone surge...

-sigh- the crazy has officially set in...

mama31 Mon 19-Aug-13 20:36:36

Awh good luck disney and happy anni to you! What lovely timing that would be! I hope this is your month for bfp smile

I am looking forward to this wkend too for ovulation/dtd! But then I know it will be the most awful wait to find out but I am determined not to test too early as spend a fortune on tests! :/

DisneyDiva87 Mon 19-Aug-13 20:38:59

I bought a load of cheapies on amazon so I don't have to feel bad for testing, most have my tests have been before an occassion (hen party, wedding etc) just to make sure before I go out and get bladdered grin

Haven't had to do one in ages as I've known from times we DTD that it was impossible for me to be pregnant.

mama31 Mon 19-Aug-13 20:57:06

Haha! Yes that was me last month doing tests before the wkends!! But used 4 of the expensive ones :/ won't be doing that again! Must check amazon out!!

If u have cheapies defo test away to ur hearts content as the urge to test is just too much!!!

ChubbyKitty Mon 19-Aug-13 22:00:41

I know at least 70,050 women around me announcing they are either pregnant or just have birth. What is thishmm

ChubbyKitty Mon 19-Aug-13 22:01:00

*gave birth

snoozysleeper Mon 19-Aug-13 22:24:41

kitty 70,050?? shock

ChubbyKitty Tue 20-Aug-13 01:30:43

Well wink

All except me and my friend who are really trying. We WILL be the next to catch the umbilical cord!

englishteacher78 Tue 20-Aug-13 06:32:21

DH booked in for tonight (I hate that he works shifts) but then it's his days off. I never thought when I was younger that finding the time to DTD would be so complex!

flame40s Tue 20-Aug-13 08:00:06

You missed me off the bussad

flame40s Tue 20-Aug-13 08:08:05

Hi DisneyDiva87 I just realised you have me on the bus but called me TTC!!

flame40s ttc #3 (#1 with new husband) cycle 2 Bfp 9th

Purplegeekygirl Thankyou smile

Still havent seen smiley face on my ovk so am going to have a bash at temps.

Good luck everyone!!

mama31 Tue 20-Aug-13 08:19:46

Chubby 70,050!!! Yes I know....that's what it feels like (loving the specific number lol) I think for me it seems if you are not trying to get pregnant or if you are actually trying not to.......then it happens!!!!! This has been the case with friends of mine and was the case for my 1st 12yrs ago!

.......So maybe we are doing this wrong and should all go bk on the pill.......KIDDING!!!!! Lol but seriously feels like that's who gets the result!!!

mama31 Tue 20-Aug-13 08:22:02

Ps chubby keep positive tho......Sept is gona bring A LOT of BFPs!!! I just know it ;)

PurpleGeekyGirl Tue 20-Aug-13 08:29:10

Who else is my cycle buddy this time? Am on cd 4, expecting to ov on Monday... Last full week off work and without ds (who's with his dad for all of August, sob, I miss him!) so hoping for a shag fest. Not sure we have the energy to match last months stats tho wink was exhausting!!

SaltySeaBird Tue 20-Aug-13 08:33:01

I'm on board, hopefully.

I'm diabetic so waiting on the results of a blood test this week and if my levels are controlled enough (which they should be) then I'm good to start trying.

TTC #2 ... cycle MIA at present as still BF 11 month old DC#1 but will stop if the blood test says go!

lucyfluff Tue 20-Aug-13 08:47:53

Urghhhh period pains from hell and bloated sad(( this did not happen last time......

charleslingus Tue 20-Aug-13 09:06:09

Meeee, purple! I'm on cycle day 4, expecting to ov around the 1st but going to use opks this month to confirm when I ov. I'm pretty sure it's on day 14/15 from cm and pains but will be good to know for sure.

A whole month is ages, you must miss him so much. Mine went for a week and when they got back we utterly spoilt them with cinema and theatre trips and went to the Harry potter studios and shopping in hamleys. Slight overkill maybe but just wanted to have fun with them.

Anyone else waiting to get down n dirty?

Awww purple, I've just had 3 days away from our ds and I was gagging to get him back. A month is so long sad

I've just been reading the thread from last lime I was ttc. I came off the pill on 27 August, 1st proper af on 5th October, second one 2nd November, bfp on 10th December. Hopefully as quick this time!!

Sending our baby dust to you all xxxx

@lucy I had that too this month. The bloating was awful. On the plus side it's over now and I managed to lose 4lbs in a day! (Worst period in about 15 years. And yes, I know the weight loss doesn't really count but lovely start to the losing weight plan!)

lucyfluff Tue 20-Aug-13 09:49:31

Oh glad I'm not the only one! Was starting to worry a bit, but maybe it's AF coming and cycle is off slightly. In the meantime, chocolate is my friend smile

Ps -good work on the weight loss englishteacher78 ;)

englishteacher78 Tue 20-Aug-13 09:50:47

Oh it's needed! Another 24lbs to go if I'm going to be happy!

Kemie Tue 20-Aug-13 10:49:56

CD 14 for me and have managed dtd at least every other day, including a couple during festival in tent smile, hopefully will manage at some point today as well.... Will try not to obsess over the next 2 weeks hmm

ChubbyKitty Tue 20-Aug-13 11:36:40

Mama I'm so positive this month too, I don't know why! I think it's all the babies happening around me or something.

mama31 Tue 20-Aug-13 12:20:03

Hey purple! I should be ovulating around 25/26th so will be dtd all wkend, prior to and after just to be sure! Lol then bk to the longest wait ever to test! At least dtd is fun and exciting! The wait afterwards is pure hell tho :/ but needs must and I am determined not to test constantly or too early this time (please do remind me that I said that when I begin to obsess!!!)

Good luck ladies! Keep at it ;)

Glad to see so much positivity this month!!! smile coffee I know what u mean....mid week for me is not good...I love my sleep and when iv been working I just like to chill at night! But v.happy for multiple times dtd at the wkends!!!

mama31 Tue 20-Aug-13 13:17:07

Ps my hubby on the other hand is ready to go any given moment!!!! Wish I had the stamina lol

jaykay987 Tue 20-Aug-13 13:20:45

I'm feeling super positive this month too! FX for us all!

I'm also happy I think I'll ovulate Tuesday or Wednesday so the long weekend is prime time. So much easier as our evenings are non existent after getting in from work!

(I must stop lerching in the baby name section! I always do that when Im feeling upbeat!grin)

keepswimming1 Tue 20-Aug-13 13:24:52

So I'm pretty sure I have just ovulated (yesterday) and was wondering why do I seem to feel like crap while its happening, evening now I have stomach pains, feel sick, and feeling extremely hot. anyone know why or how I can calm these symptoms down?
Good luck everyone smile

mama31 Tue 20-Aug-13 13:36:54

Ps my hubby on the other hand is ready to go any given moment!!!! Wish I had the stamina lol

snoozysleeper Tue 20-Aug-13 14:24:55

Wow the positivity on this thread is great!!

Since I've come off the implant I've re-discovered my sex drive smile so there's a plus side to all this stress too... Seriously I don't think I'll ever go back on it...although struggling with terrible AF ATM

keepswimming great name btw, totally unscientific advice but I always find a cup of peppermint tea settles my tum and nausea

DisneyDiva87 Tue 20-Aug-13 14:40:39

Me too snoozy although I was just on the pill, hubby however has been put on tablets since I stopped taking the pill that not only have wiped out his sex drive but that have almost made any sort of attempt at DTD impossible (we've done it twice this month) it's driving me crazy and leaving me very frustrated!

DisneyDiva87 Tue 20-Aug-13 14:42:38

I have bad bloating really low down, it feels like there is air in my bladder or my uterus, it's painful and uncomfortable.

It is NOT a pg symptom, I repeat, it is NOT a pg symptom, it is NOT a pg symptom...

If I say it enough maybe I'll believe it

CoffeeGuzzler Tue 20-Aug-13 14:48:01

jaykay I am a lurker in the babyname section too! Really need to slap myself down sometimes. Due to ovulate tuesday/wednesday as well. Roll on long weekend in France. Hubby is going to have to beg me to stop. Ha!

keepswimming Kmiddy was rumoured to find lavender shortbread helpful for nausea. Just saying. A cool shower maybe?

mama31 Tue 20-Aug-13 14:50:18

Didn't mean to post twice earlier whoops!!! Disney awh hope ur hubby gets off those tablets soon!

Snoozy I also agree with peppermint tea, defo cures a poorly tum/digestive system!

Keepswimming, get to work on ur man at this vital time!!!

keepswimming1 Tue 20-Aug-13 14:53:20

DISNEY -I've got the bloating too, in fact its so bad that I cant put some jeans on!! I've also got a really achy lower back. feeling very uncomfortable at the minute

Its drives me insane... why do we have to get all these symptom... its not fair!!!

keepswimming1 Tue 20-Aug-13 14:57:45

I'm going to go and buy some tonight to see if it help.. thanks
My hubby is away, he left on Friday, dtd then, but I'm not holding out much hope for a bfp this month (hes now away for 8weeks) gutted!

which means you ladies have to get the BFP this month smile

DisneyDiva87 Tue 20-Aug-13 14:59:59

I hope I get my bfp this month, if not then hubby is DEFINITELY coming off those tablets [rage face]

ChubbyKitty Tue 20-Aug-13 15:14:29

Disney I've had that this morning... I ate a lot of junk over the weekend though...

keepswimming1 Tue 20-Aug-13 15:20:53

Disney - I hope you get it as well smile
how long have you guys been trying? Do you already have any?
I like to be nosey...sorry.

I came of the pill in may. stupidily thought I'd be pregnant now lol
I have now come to turns that it could be a while esp since hubby has just landed a 8 weeks away 4 weeks home job, on the plus side we are going to book a nice holiday on his return smile

ThoraNomiki Tue 20-Aug-13 15:29:23

Right time to jump on the bus. AF is on her way out, I think, having arrived in style while I was on holiday. Boohoo sad angry

Judging by previous cycles I probably won't Ov until October but in the name of wishful thinking I might just ride this bus too for a while see how it goes. I'll mostly lurk, as usual, but randomly post to rant a little bit now and then.
I'm going to start taking Soy Isoflavones today and for the next 4 days to see if they can help shorten my cycle a bit.
We have to stop trying at the end of September due to commitments in July next year so I'm really hoping to boost my chances a little this cycle.

Disney I hope your DH can come off those tablets soon. It's so frustrating not being able to DTD regularly but even more so knowing that there is such a small window of opportunity each month!
Snoozysleeper I feel the same since having the implant out - my libido rocketed! I will not go back on hormonal BC if I ever manage to have another baby. I also worry that it's completed messed me up. I'm sure my cycles before having DD were normal-ish (though I never took much notice).

That's ok Swimming I don't mind grin

I came off the pill in May as well! so not been trying for too long but the tablets are getting in the way so technically we aren't really trying at all cause we hardly ever DTD within the right time frame and no I don't have any kds yet but I sooooooooooooooooooooo want one.

Possibly my bloating is due to overindulgence at the weekend sad

keepswimming1 Tue 20-Aug-13 16:56:18

Yea I understand how you feel, my oh is away alot and like this week left the country before I ovulated sad
I feel like all I can think of is babies, I'm also trying for no 1 smile

PurpleGeekyGirl Tue 20-Aug-13 17:14:25

charleslingus waves! I'm using cb opks again this cycle. It gave me a circle today but I have loads of what looks and feels like ewcm, weird... It was dead right last cycle tho, and meant I wasn't hopping mad when I was 2 days later than expected with AF as it was bang on 14 days after I ov'd so good to know my body is working in some respects...

And yes choccy , I do miss my boy so much when he's away. His dad lives nearly 200 miles from us so it makes sense to do it this way and it's more settled for him, but as I have him most of the time it's very weird when he's not about. We've crammed so much in to these weeks tho to make up for being child free.

Trying to decide between climbing Snowdon or Scafell at the weekend. Can't make our minds up where to go as the weather is going to be pretty similar at both and it'll probably be our last camping trip of the year. And cos I'm gonna finally get my BFP I want baby conceived in a tent in a stunning location wink

jaykay987 Tue 20-Aug-13 17:18:53

So, does everyone get AF 14 days after ov, or is that the ideal? I understand if it was really short, the egg/sperm wouldn't necessarily have enough time to do their thing, so that might be an issue, but mines seems to be 13days. Is this a problem?

V jealous of the trips/holidays everyone is talking about!

snoozysleeper Tue 20-Aug-13 17:53:09

disney I understand how your feeling, I hope your hubby doesn't stay on those tablets for too long...

And thora welcome, I actually thought there was something wrong with me my sex drive was so low when on implant but now I see it was actually the implant confused glad to discover I'm relatively normal now, they say your fertility returns straight away but I'm not convinced-it took 55 days for my first AF to show up!!

jaykay I think the normal is 14 days after but that's just an average so it is variable, I don't think 13 days would be significant...

snoozysleeper Tue 20-Aug-13 20:08:17

Ps purplegeeky I vote for snowden, so many good memories there!

flame40s Tue 20-Aug-13 20:42:11

Trying to stay positive even though I still havent had any confirmation that I have ovulated.. I know I have as I could run big ben by my clock...!

Dtd last night... long session... very sore.

Struggling to get my head around temps but loving all your posts ladies smile

ChubbyKitty Tue 20-Aug-13 21:09:22

Heh, I came off in April.

My friend I mentioned has been at it for 18 monthssad

WillowsTree Tue 20-Aug-13 21:20:56

Hi all. Haven't checked in for a while. Still haven't had my first af after my mirena was removed and getting so sick of waiting. When I got it removed first time I was already pg with dd by now...my body is obviously broken! So its been 37 days since removal and 35 since start of breakthrough bleed. Hope I get some sort of stats to report before the October bus is in session smile

CoffeeGuzzler Tue 20-Aug-13 21:21:37

jaykay 14 days after ov, while is considered normal, is not true for a lot of women. I wouldn't worry about 13 days.

purple I vote for snowdon.

coco808 Tue 20-Aug-13 21:43:35

jaykay between 10-15 days long luteal phase is normal and anything under 10 days can be a problem

so jealous of the sound of all these lovely holiday...

theborrower Tue 20-Aug-13 23:34:45

Ok, feeling a bit bad because we've been out to a gig and it was a free bar,and my plans of staying sober have not worked out. I feel totally tipsy. Am I bad? I'm officially in the two week wait so shouldn't be touching the booze. Sorry.

lucyfluff Wed 21-Aug-13 08:53:35

I have no idea when I ovulate but cramps are much better today although DTD last night and certain positions hurt a little sad sorry TMI!!

I wouldn't worry about a few drinks, it's not like your drunk every night @ the borrower!! Everyone needs to relax and let your hair down once in a while smile

Nulanoo Wed 21-Aug-13 09:29:44

I can't help looking at names too!

ChubbyKitty Wed 21-Aug-13 09:33:13

Oh nula my names are already decided! For a boy or a girl confused

I'm not crazy.

snoozysleeper Wed 21-Aug-13 11:26:28

I have lists of names from before we even started ttc confused

CoffeeGuzzler Wed 21-Aug-13 11:43:52

I have name for a boy since before I got married!!! blush For a girl, my dh vetoes everything.

ChubbyKitty Wed 21-Aug-13 12:16:07

Coffee I let DP pick both middle names and then I do first names. I have to say he's made brilliant choices.

We had names before we started ttc ds, he is called Euan, which is what we chose grin
Not even thought about this time, although there are a few I like that I've heard like Keiran, Abigail, Emily. There's another boys one I've heard but I can't blummin remember what it was!!

Aaron, that was it!

charleslingus Wed 21-Aug-13 13:40:52

Ov buddies purple (waves back) but I see you get to poas way before me, though I know it's still a 2ww, jealous yours is going to come round quicker-best of luck!

We have a name and two middles picked out for each gender, fully decided no two ways about it, baby to be will be named one or the other. We have slightly... ahem... controversial naming style, think the kind of names that people love to fight about on MN, so things could get interesting.

jaykay987 Wed 21-Aug-13 14:05:27

Ooh...I want you to get a BFP just so I can go stalk your naming thread! grin

CoffeeGuzzler Wed 21-Aug-13 14:24:24

Charleslingus, looking forward to your naming thread. grin

Choccy, are your Irish? My husband is and his family is full of Kierans, Aarons and Euan / Eoins!

No, not Irish, both English smile

CoffeeGuzzler Wed 21-Aug-13 14:34:18

Just a slightly Keltic taste in names then. grin.

DisneyDiva87 Wed 21-Aug-13 15:42:52

I love celtic/gaelic names grin)

I really like Erin for a girl and it's a poetic reference to Eire and we both are from Ireland (the north) but live in Scotland so we like that. I'm more of a traditional/biblical name type person though so there'll be nothing original with me!

CoffeeGuzzler Wed 21-Aug-13 16:21:48

Disney, my dh is from northern ireland too! And I went to Edinburgh uni...so gaelic names have a fond place in our house. My sis in law had a baby last year and named her Aoife. smile.

charleslingus Wed 21-Aug-13 16:21:49

Thread title: Peregrine tarquin Ptolemy Indio rex the third and Ottoline Delphi Persephone margot. Are my name choices too understated/common.
(Runs and hides)

[Disclaimer] these aren't my real name choices...but you get the picture.

PurpleGeekyGirl Wed 21-Aug-13 17:17:19

Hey Charles I'll swap my erratic 21-29 day cycle any day for a regular 28 day one!!

Got a grin on my cb digi this morning. I'm on cd6 ffs looks like this is going to be a v short cycle. Not sure we are going to be able to do smep this cycle as dtd last night, have a friend over tonight and boyfriend is v stressed with work sigh.

PurpleGeekyGirl Wed 21-Aug-13 17:18:24

Oh and btw I was deadly serious a out calling a child Ptolomey. After that very sexy architect on the restoration programme!!! Now I can't think of boys names but like Arwen Gaia or Skye Gaia for a girl #hippyalert

PurpleGeekyGirl Wed 21-Aug-13 17:20:40

Sorry, catching up on my phone hence all the messages cos I forget what I was going to say if I try and do it all in one...

We have decided to climb snowdon so if a conception miracle occurs will have to choose between Pyg, Miner or a welsh name wink

charleslingus Wed 21-Aug-13 17:28:46

Wow, cd 6 is early, but at least you're aware of it and not completely missing it because it's not when you expected. What is your luteal phase like, I'm sure it doesn't matter one jot that you ov'd early if you have a decent lp?

I love hippy names, dh is English eccentrics old money rah and I'm Franco Italian bohemian flower child so we come up with some crackers, love love love your names, beautiful! My godfather is called Jupiter, might have to slip that in somewhere!

charleslingus Wed 21-Aug-13 17:30:13

Pygmalion or Minerva?

CoffeeGuzzler Wed 21-Aug-13 17:40:12

I like Minerva!

I am half Portuguese half Indian. Husband Irish. Both have lived in England entire lives. Needless to say we come up with some weird monikers. I am partial towards french names. grin DH would rather eat glass.

theborrower Wed 21-Aug-13 20:14:51

Ok, I might still be in the running - CD19 and still have CM. Now have sharp pain lower left side of tummy - could that be ovulation? My cycles used to be 28-32 when they were a bit more normal (just had 2 long cycles after implant removed) so it could be a long cycle that I'm having? What do you think?

If so, I won't feel quite so guilty about being a bit steaming tipsy last night.

mama31 Wed 21-Aug-13 20:31:08

Lovely to hear all the names chat!!! I'm irish but love traditional english names as well as some biblical names!!

Borrower don't be so hard on yourself!! And yes could still be ovulation! smile

I'm coming up to ovulation this wkend but my hubby has been sending me very horny msgs all day so he's clearly ready for it (yes a tad before schedule but we shall enjoy the pre ovulation fun!! ) He's on fire!!!!! smile

coco808 Wed 21-Aug-13 21:40:03

Borrower it sounds like ovulation pain smile. My cycle is 33 days long and I ovulate around cd 20.
P.S. don't feel guilty about drinking...it can't really make any difference before implantation

Sounds like ov to me too smile Good luck!!

My withdrawal bleed here, so can start tracking when proper af here. It was 35 days until proper one last time hmm

I love the name Aoife, one of the Saturdays used it I think I read, that's where I've heard it recently.

mama31 Thu 22-Aug-13 07:44:17

Yes choccy, one of the saturdays calls her daughter Aoife-belle its lovely!!!

How long ago did you come off birth control pill choccy?? I didn't get withdrawl bleed, but got af 3 wks after I came off the pill so just starting to track my cycle! Hoping I'm right about ovulation times this month as not usuing ov tests yet but if I'm wrong ill start using them next month. Good luck to you!!!

Eek exciting stuff mama grin good luck!

I took last one on Sunday, so we were trying to catch straight away but I don't think it happened.
I didn't use the ov tests last time as by the time I bought them I was pg. We were just dtd every other day at least which seemed to work.
Dh even fixed the buggy yesterday, think he's getting a bit excited already!
Ds has preferred his trike for months as the brake kept sticking on the buggy (we've got a Jane slalom r, love it!) We were told by the manufacturer how to fix it, (a screw had popped out) but as ds didn't bother using it, we didn't bother fixing it.

mama31 Thu 22-Aug-13 07:58:18

Awh choccy he must be excited!!! smile how cute!!! I have a 12yr old from a previous r'ship so we are ttc my hubbys 1st baby he is super excited too!!! He just can't wait!! And I can't wait for him either!

We did the same, came off the pill on 22nd july and ttc straight away hoping we'd get lucky and did an obsessive amount of preg tests only for af to arrive on 12 august!! (Not making that expensive mistake again) so ovulation due this wkend and hubby has me hounded from y'day, he is planning ttc every day for a week "to be sure we catch ovulation" lol (more like he's loving the amount of sex haha)

Hope it happens quickly again for u!!!

Ha ha, that was like me smile I bought a job lot off eBay in the end as I was testing so much! Have got 20 ready wink
You'll be walking like John Wayne next week then ha ha!

mama31 Thu 22-Aug-13 08:16:35

Well this month I have one test lest so I'm going to try my very best not to obsess and not to test too early (remind me I said this lol)

Haha john wayne is right, he's just txt me saying about another early night tonight!!! He's on a mission!!! Ha!!!

DisneyDiva87 Thu 22-Aug-13 08:29:35

Is it just me or does anyone else hate being woken up by their hubby/partner/other half in the middle of the night for sex? I feel bad for turning hubby down but I just can't get in the mood when he wakes me up like that.

Disney.......it's more likely to be me as I I know he's always in the mood wink
But yes, other way around he knows not to wake me up!

mama31 Thu 22-Aug-13 08:54:50

Disney my hubby will hound me day and night for sex but he wouldn't dare wake me out of my sleep coz that is a big no no!!! I love my sleep too much!! Lol wait til he falls asleep tonight tho and wake him! I'm sure he will be up for it!!!

DisneyDiva87 Thu 22-Aug-13 09:00:28

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I'm a really heavy sleeper and need quite a lot of sleep so I'm always really groggy when I wake up, he on the other hand wakes up regularly during the night anyway. I'd rather he took me by surprise as I come in from work.

mama31 Thu 22-Aug-13 09:00:38

Ladies do you think I'm decreasing my chances by having sex every day over ovulation?? Does this make the sperm weaker or should I just carry on carefree and what is meant to be will be???

DisneyDiva87 Thu 22-Aug-13 09:05:12

Just carry on mama unless you are looking for a reason to do it less. I know some say doing it everyday is bad for sperm but others say it isn't and the new SMEP tells you to do it every day over ovulation anyway so it can't be detrimental.

mama31 Thu 22-Aug-13 09:07:43

Disney I'm exactly the same I need at least 8 hrs and if I even have a broken sleep or less hrs I'm like a monster the next day!!!!

I am defo a morning person or a wee mid day surprise! But middle of the night...no chance! He wouldn't even be able to wake me!!

VickyVix Thu 22-Aug-13 09:10:27

Hi Ladies, mind if I board your bus? I've been hovering between Aug and Sept bus but got my fixed smiley today which means ov (and lots of DTD) smile so AF BFP due 4th or 5th Sept.

Shall I just copy the list and slot myself in there with those with BFP due same date??

VickyVix Thu 22-Aug-13 09:11:20

Cd6 is early yes but I normally ov on cd10-11. Am gutted as dp too tired to dtd last night (we did day before) and now I'm convinced we have missed the window this cycle so it's on to the next one boo hoo.

Also got results of my blood tests and liver bone one ?? Is abnormal but I can't speak to gp till next wed so am worried about that now...

Never mind am in car now off to Wales for mountains and camping and the sun is shining so life isn't that bad wink

DisneyDiva87 Thu 22-Aug-13 11:08:00

Fingers crossed mama

CoffeeGuzzler Thu 22-Aug-13 11:14:01

Yay long weekend!!

Welcome Vickyvix. Good luck.

I agree mama31...can't wait for September to start and all the bfps to roll in.

So I meant to start using opk from this morning, but in the braindeadness of early morning, went for wee, all about opk forgotten. Instruction leaflet says to definitely use pee after the longest sleep. Eh.

In more encouraging news, got some nice knickers in the post.

DisneyDiva87 Thu 22-Aug-13 11:44:46

Long weekend!!

envy

I want a long weekend

SuzB83 Thu 22-Aug-13 12:32:54

Disney I was thinking of buying the cheap ones from Amazon (having spent a fortune over the last few months on obsessive POAS blush). Which ones have you got? Do you know if they're any good?

DisneyDiva87 Thu 22-Aug-13 12:38:48

I got the ones that say they supply the NHS (not sure if I believe them) and only used 1 so far and it was bfn so I can't/won't comment on if they are any good, the reviews were pretty mixed for them

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0026RKBSQ/ref=oh_details_o08_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

DisneyDiva87 Thu 22-Aug-13 12:40:15

Just realised they don't say they supply the NHS so either I lied, got confused with another load I was looking at or they removed it.

ExactlyWhat Thu 22-Aug-13 12:45:14

Very excitedly jumping on the bus - have finally persuaded DP that we should be ttc, always seems to be a reason not to! it's our first child together, but I have 2DCs from a previous relationship.
Stats are ttc#3 cycle 1, bfp 25th Sept.

Good luck and oodles of baby dust to everyone

ExactlyWhat Thu 22-Aug-13 12:47:54

Just thought - should I be taking folic acid / pregnacare vits now? Which ones do you all take? Seems to remember them being quite pricey?

DisneyDiva87 Thu 22-Aug-13 12:49:11

Yes start with Folic Acid asap so it builds up in your system, I'm not taking any other vitamins but maybe I should?

ChubbyKitty Thu 22-Aug-13 12:52:54

I've been taking folic acid from Morrisons with a couple of other vitamins as I like their 3 for £5 offer. There's 180 tablets so its a billy bargaingrin

ExactlyWhat Thu 22-Aug-13 12:54:42

Thanks - will get started on it.
I'm not sure about other vitamins etc tbh

ChubbyKitty Thu 22-Aug-13 13:02:37

I've got omega 3 capsules and multi vitamin with iron. I love the capsulesblush I could eat them all day haha!

charleslingus Thu 22-Aug-13 13:16:24

Watch out for multivits, they Inc vitamin A and it's a no no, even eating liver is not advised when ttc as it's full of it. Google it, as can't remember all the details but it's best to take specific ttc bits as some vits can be v harmful to v early pregnancy!

ExactlyWhat Thu 22-Aug-13 13:22:53

Thanks , didn't know that about vitamin A, off to google..

Kemie Thu 22-Aug-13 13:42:28

exactly I have folic acid from good ol' wilko's, cheap and cheerful. I also take B6 which I get in superdrug (with no effect so far!) Can't be doing with the expensive ones, will be different if I actually get my BFP

Have ordered some cheapy OPK's from amazon but they haven't turned up yet, they'll be ready for next month (hopefully I won't need them though!)

ChubbyKitty Thu 22-Aug-13 13:50:02

Ohhh. Pooblush

These will retire to the back of the cupboard.

DisneyDiva87 Thu 22-Aug-13 13:54:13

I'm taking a mixture of Tesco and Asda folic acid a friend gave me hers after I'd bought mine so I stuck them all in the one pot.

Folic acid helps the neural tube to develop/grow and prevents spina bifida, but if spina bifida runs in your family (or your partners) you need to take a higher dose and your Dr can prescribe that for you grin.

Other vits are just a bonus but they aren't essential (unless you have a terrible diet with no vits in it!)

ChubbyKitty Thu 22-Aug-13 13:59:42

I always wonder why it's such a big pot and there's only about a third taken up by tablets...why not fill it?

theborrower Thu 22-Aug-13 14:21:42

Well, we managed another session last night, so fingers crossed...!

I think it was ovulation pain (Mittelschmertz - love that word) as it was localised and now it's gone. Woo hoo!

I've been taking pregnacare for a few months now. Read somewhere you should ideally take folic acid for 3 months beforehand, maybe it ensures you have enough the time you conceive.

nettle86 Thu 22-Aug-13 14:47:59

I ov last Saturday (17th) well that's when I noticed ewcm and dtd weds, thurs, sat and sun but yesterday and today I have had lower abdominal pain and noticed a load of the stuff in my pants (oh god how bodies are disgusting!). AF is due on the 1st Sept so I'm not sure if we dtd too early and i'm actually ov now. Don't have a test- bodies are also very confusing!

VickyVix Thu 22-Aug-13 15:07:17

I'm taking Pregnacare Conception, figure they have the right stuff in, but the pharmacist told me off for buying them at the same time as high dose Vitamin C, had no idea that is not good to take for TTC - it was quite obvious I was TTC with a basket full of Pregnacare, oodles of OPK kits and a CB digi HPT (don't laugh blush ). So lay off the high dose vitamin C!

lucyfluff Thu 22-Aug-13 15:10:35

Im convinced my cramps were ovulation now from beginning of week, app tells me its this week tho so il carry on doing td!!

Been taking folic acid for about three wks, was actually going to ask do you think I should get some iron supplements as im prone to low iron and read somewhere it can stop conception?

DisneyDiva87 Thu 22-Aug-13 15:20:39

I'm just hit my 'I'm not pregnant this month' moment. I think it's from all the bfp's on the August bus...

Feeling rubbish but on the plus side hubby is stopping his tablets for the foreseeable future so hopefully we'll be able to DTD more next month

Kemie Thu 22-Aug-13 15:29:00

No idea when I ov'd, dtd saturday and sunday, noticed what I think was ewcm tuesday and dtd again last night (think here was still som ewcm yesterday too) tuesday would have been cd 15 and oh was to tired for any dtd grr... Hopefully I haven't missed it
2ww's now hitting the September bus with a vengance-i'll be on hols with family when AF is due hmm

ChubbyKitty Thu 22-Aug-13 15:33:24

I just don't understand how it can not happen if there's no protection and neither partner has any issues?

I'm probably alone and have a limited understanding of the science behind it all, but surely, if there's and egg right there and a whole army of sperm flying towards it...it should work right?

I think that's why I get frustrated with it. All through puberty and that everybody urges you to use condoms and go on the pill and everything and tells you how you can get pregnant from the very first time you have sex and then you fuss about making sure you don't forget you pill and the condom doesn't break.

And then you stop using anything and you just think..wtf, man? No baby. sad

Needed a little rant about that. wink

DisneyDiva87 Thu 22-Aug-13 16:18:03

I know what you mean Chubby

-sigh-

TTC sucks all the time sometimes when it just doesn't result in a BFP. Although I know we aren't DTD'ing enough cause of stupid medication but no more!! Woohoo! (at least for a little while, hopefully long enough for me to get upduffed)

Know exactly what you mean chubby. A friend was ttc from January 2013, nothing wrong with either of them, started ivf drugs last year and took the last ones in December. Due to have ivf in April, they came to us for dinner one night, we finished off quite a few bottles of wine, she did a pg test the next day and she was pg!
Then she felt really bad as she had drank a lot hmm
Anyway, they came to see us a few weeks back with a scan piccy and it was twins!! We all thought it was the drugs she had been on, but turns out they're identical boys so nothing to do with the drugs!
Just goes to show, it will happen eventually, and then 2 turn up at once!
She's due 30th December, going to be a fab Xmas this year for them grin

Anyway, back to it. I bought my folic from healthspan online, was about £6 for about 360 tabs.

these are the tests I have, and had last time, test to your hearts content grin

January 2011 not 2013!!

WillowsTree Thu 22-Aug-13 17:34:27

Yay I finally have stats as af FINALLY showed up!

WillowsTree ttc #1 cycle 1 bfp due 20th sept.

Only annoyance is I'm away prob on most fertile days...typical!

CoffeeGuzzler Thu 22-Aug-13 19:01:09

I am taking pregnacare conception vits. The pack has a nice encouraging picture of a sperm racing towards a healthy looking egg. grin

Chubby I know exactly what you mean. This month is our first proper ttc, but last month we did it a couple of times without protection...and wonder of wonders ...didn't get preggers. I have learnt a lot about ov and the right days etc. in the one month since then...but the statistical chances of pregnancy in normal circumstances still leaves me baffled. It's a bleeping miracle that there are 7 billion of us.

WillowsTree Thu 22-Aug-13 20:02:00

Oh feck, totally ballsed that up...

WillowsTree ttc#2 cycle 1 bfp due 21st

Was so excited to actually have an estimated bfp date I pressed the wrong number for ttc# !!

keepswimming1 Thu 22-Aug-13 21:06:53

chubby I was just saying that to a friend yesterday, I spent 12 years trying not to get pregnant and worrying when I missed a pill etc now 3 months down the line where is my baby bump eh? lol

coco808 Thu 22-Aug-13 21:43:32

I agree smile and I just don't understand who are these people, who get pregnant by 'accident' by just doing it the once without condom!!

purple fingers crossed for you, hope it is nothing serious. Do you know what exactly is wrong with the full blood and liver function test? (presuming that's what you had done)

Mistyautumn Thu 22-Aug-13 22:49:23

His all, just wanted to check in and see how everyone was doing. I am on CD 9 now and started using my OPKs. Had a 65 day cycle last time so have no idea what to expect this time. Fx I ovulate soonish so can stay on the September bus with you all rather than getting booted off to the October one :-( xx

Refoca Thu 22-Aug-13 23:34:20

Can I climb aboard the September bus? I'm being stubborn and not testing until at least 14th Sept...or if AF gets me this weekend, I'll wait it out until 5 weeks after that so may get two shots at a Sept BFP.

Refoca Ttc#2 cycle#1 BFP (I hope!) Sept 14th

Refoca Thu 22-Aug-13 23:37:27

Misty - If we could average our cycles, maybe we'd both be happier...I have a long, light 8-9 days every 3 weeks, sometimes spotting in between. Drives me to distraction! Can imagine 65 days is stressful too. Fx for ov soon.

internationallove985 Thu 22-Aug-13 23:40:51

Hi refoca. Welcome aboard. I'm testing 1st September if A.F doesn't arrrive, she's due 31st. xx

ChubbyKitty Fri 23-Aug-13 01:15:18

All the women around me bar one are these women! It's mental. Poor DPs getting worn out by the disappointment too, I can tellsad and each new announcement takes its toll on us both.

I don't know why I'm so positive for this month though. I'm already preparing my speech for my dad heh.

Ladies I was that person! My little boy is 12 yrs old now and was very much a surprise!!! Also my friend is preggers at the min as she was taking antibiotics which cancelled out her pil....so another little surprise!!

But sure as hell I ttc....well we will see what happens its early days!!!

Off on my hols for a long wkend with hubby today....and it just happens to be my ovulation wkend also!! smile smile smile have a great wkend everyone!!! I will be officially walking like john wayne next week!! Haha!!!!!

flame40s Fri 23-Aug-13 08:55:11

Finally got a smiley face on my ovulation stick at day 12 ...Yay! Its funny but at my age it was a nice confirmation for me that its all working. Tested on Wednesday evening so have been dtd 3 times since then. Problem is hubby feels under pressure to perform so no sperm in sight so far!!!! Will try again tonight as we need that missing ingredient right?

Anyone else having the same issue with their oh or is it just me?

Kemie Fri 23-Aug-13 09:17:45

flame I have cancelled my order for the cheapy opk's as oh didn't want the extra pressure! There have been months when the ingredients have been missing also! This month has been much better, I think more relaxed, I let him know when it's just for fun when not near that "time of the month" as he calls it, not that he believes me though, I get a lot of "you just want a baby".... It can be hard, but it's getting better. I think a lot of us are in the same boat, which it's why coming on here's so reassuring.

DisneyDiva87 Fri 23-Aug-13 09:34:27

Yup I hear you ladies!

I don't tell hubby that I'm doing the opk's so he doesn't feel the pressure, we've had issues with this as well.

Hubby keeps saying how I wasn't interested in him before and all I want is a baby but he won't listen to the fact that my sex drive was suppressed from the pill. Will have to make it up to him now he is off his tablets.

Kemie Fri 23-Aug-13 09:41:24

Hi Disney doing them in secret's not on the agenda, he just thinks it's decietful and wants to be able to talk about it (but with no pressure) his argument is that people have been getting pregnant for centuries before using 'technology' so why should we be any different, he's got a point but it is frustrating. He's also convinced himself he's firing blanks which is just plain annoying hmm

onelifeonechance Fri 23-Aug-13 10:52:53

It is so reassuring to read your posts ladies about the impact ttc has on our OHs. I thought it might just be us but think my DH felt so much pressure last week when i think i was ov that the 'ingredients' as you so politely put it Kemie wink weren't there. Our prob is we were perfectly in tune and happy with our sex life before deciding to ttc but that mostly consisted of great fun at weekends! But now i know all about timings etc. i've been telling him when we need to get cracking and the pressure to 'have' to do it can sometimes seem too much and it's all a bit mechanical or the end result doesn't happen (which i find worse than not even attempting to dtd...)

Not sure what to do about opk's. i'm half way through my 2ww but i'm having a 'it's not worked this month' feeling like you Disney. Thinking of trying them next month as keen to know i'm actually ov but think DH will find it too much. Arggggghhhhh the pressure of it all!!!!!

mama31 Fri 23-Aug-13 11:46:33

Awh ladies I think the pressure needs to be taken off the men (as easy as that sounds I know it wouldn't be) but I have not been using ovulation tests and hope to avoid using them if at all possible! He is aware of when I'm ovulating but I ensure that we have lots of fun prior to and after ovulation times so that its not all baby related!!

Keeping the spice in the relationship is also a good idea I find! Wee msgs during the day and wearing something nice for him (in the bedroom) as a surprise is also a good way to treat him and will distract him from feeling any pressure as it will be more of a treat ;) give it a try!! smile

mama31 Fri 23-Aug-13 11:52:55

Please do not see that post as a lack of empathy!! That's not what its meant for....just trying to help with what has helped me....

DisneyDiva87 Fri 23-Aug-13 11:55:59

I know, I need to make more of an effort in the bedroom to encourage him but sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who makes an effort. I'm noticing he only tends to initiate sex if he has been drinking so he has obviously developed some issues about it but then he does have depression as well which doesn't help.

Argh!

-feeling stressed-

DisneyDiva87 Fri 23-Aug-13 11:56:36

No worries mama I appreciate the advice now I just need to find some enthusiasm/energy from somewhere

mama31 Fri 23-Aug-13 12:00:45

Disney I know that must be so tough for you!! But its ok for you to make the effort and initiate if he's finding that tough then he needs a little help....don't stress....just feel good about yourself and slip in to something sexy for him and I am certain he will be up for it....even better if u can surprise him....or msg him and build up to it all day then he will be ready for it!!

Don't let the pressure get to you....try and keep it fun, I know its tough but the more positive you can be the better for you x

ChubbyKitty Fri 23-Aug-13 12:11:13

Got home from work last night and I was all EW-y, going to assume I'm about to ov. Or I did yesterday. Either way, the swimmers are there and they should mesh nicely like I want them to.

I remember when my mum used to say I wasn't planned or tried for. I'm living proof that it shouldn't be difficult.

Still, we have it better than cats. Once a year shock

onelifeonechance Fri 23-Aug-13 12:14:27

Wise words mama31, thank you, know you're right...it's just so hard when you know the time is right and it doesn't happen and then you'll be waiting another month to try again. But determined if AF shows up this time around to heed your advice and try not to focus everything on the fertile time and make the whole month more fun.. that's my homework for this month smile

And Disney i'm sorry you're feeling stressed with it all, it must be hard if your OH is feeling low and not in the mood...hope him being off his medication will help things and wishing you lots of luck with it all.

So pleased you ladies are here and you understand the thoughts and the rollercoaster of it all...as the BT ad used to say "it's good to talk!" Am i showing my age now? wink

DisneyDiva87 Fri 23-Aug-13 12:24:56

I'm having a stress head day sorry guys! I didn't get enough sleep last night cause the dog needed out at 12.30! Can't wait to get home and sleep, maybe I'll try and seduce hubby this afternoon. Our sex life has been dropped by the wayside of late, so need to kick start it again. I'm finding I'm getting more and more prudish blush about it all though. I used to be fairly adventurous (but nothing hugely so) but now the thought of some of the stuff I did before scares me and grosses me out. I need to pull my stockings socks up and give myself a slap kick up the arse (or maybe hubby should do it...wink)

mama31 Fri 23-Aug-13 13:53:43

That's more like it disney!!!! smile and I am certainly not the most adventurous person out there but definately makes a huge difference if I wear something sexy, surprise my hubby and focus on having fun all the time and not just for baby making purposes!! So pull your socks (stockings) up and get to work!!! You will feel great afterwards knowing you are happy, he is happy and if you end up preggers from it....well what a bonus ;) I'm pretty sure men are all the same....pretty fickle when it comes to a lady in her sexy stuff....they can not resist it!!! smile

mama31 Fri 23-Aug-13 14:15:37

Oh and remember everyone once you have your bundle of joy...fun/sex with your partner/hubby will be like gold dust...so best appreciate it now and make the most of it while you can ;)

snoozysleeper Fri 23-Aug-13 14:16:26

Great advice mama31 and disney sorry you're feeling stressed but glad you're being proactive about it, best way to be, fx for you both smile

mama31 Fri 23-Aug-13 14:33:49

Thanks snoozy! Hope it helps!! Now let's get to work on these BFP's for sept...and make it fun...not a chore ;)

Good luck ladies!!!! I'm off now for my long wkend ;) and have packed some nice lingerie...coz after all I must practice what I preach ;)

No doubt ill be on nxt week obsessing about preg tests!!! Lol

DisneyDiva87 Fri 23-Aug-13 14:50:10

Enjoy your weekend mama

ChubbyKitty Fri 23-Aug-13 15:37:58

I might take Disney and mamas advice and wear something lacy tonight and spoil him. He's off today so he's doing tea so it could be like a pretend little date night.

jaykay987 Fri 23-Aug-13 15:56:43

You're right. But I think DH would have a heart attack if I got dressed up! I do OPK without telling him the results (he knows Im doing it) that way he doesn't feel the pressure. If I dress up - he'd be very suspicious about what time of the month it was! smile

Oh no, sorry a few of you are feeling stressed, and your partners are too.
I must admit, when we started ttc for our now ds, my dh said you're not going to do the temp and ov thing are you and you just have to pounce on me at certain times of the month? With that, we just dts every other day at least, and I kept track of my ewcm.
I bought some opk, but I didn't use them as I was pg when they arrived, so obviously we didn't need them.
I'm with mama on this one (good advice there!) no testing here except pg tests.
I've downloaded fertility friend, which is what I used last time, but tbh it's all just a guessing game for me.
I know a lot of people test just to make sure you are actually ovulating though.
My dh said to me yesterday he wishes I'd come off the pill months ago due to my sex drive going up again, but with a 2 year old coming into our room at 1am to sleep on the futon does not make for glorious morning sex! We're grabbing time whenever we can, even if it's just a quickie wink

And have a great weekend mama!

bushprincess Fri 23-Aug-13 17:23:53

Could I hop on the bus too please?!!

TTC#1, cycle 2, BFP due 1st sept (but going to desperately try to hold out until the 4th to test incase its a sneaky 28 day'er!)

Good Luck everyone and looking forward to hearing about all the BFP's in September!

Kemie Fri 23-Aug-13 17:42:03

Good advice mama we've been a lot more relaxed this month and managed every over day regardless, I look at mydays app but still just guess work, have ordered some fancy pants (etc) so shall get them on over the weekend... Onwards and upwards, just trying not to obsess too much (although in 2ww now at a guess so that'll be a tad harder) hope everyone enjoys the bank hol weekend, that's an extra morning lie in for fun times smile

leezl Fri 23-Aug-13 19:29:53

Hi! Coming over to your bus from August. Don't think I can manage to read the whole thread so good luck to all!

Hi bush princess and leezl welcome aboard!

Hendricks Fri 23-Aug-13 21:13:08

Hi to all the new passengers - hope this is the lucky bus for all of us.

flame40s Fri 23-Aug-13 21:48:19

Thankyou all. Its so nice to hear your honesty about oh pressure and im not the only one. This forum is great your support is awesome!!

Our sex life has always been great but this is the only area I have not been successful in dominating him on coz its so important. That seems to work other times tho and sex earlier this month has been great! I think I will still test for ov due to my age and not spell out the days to ease the pressure. We can still dtd tonight and for a few more days so who knows. Im only on cycle 2.

Great advice from all of ye... cheers ♥

ChubbyKitty Fri 23-Aug-13 22:30:01

Erm I think I've broke DPhmm

leezl Fri 23-Aug-13 22:35:08

How do you guys feel about flying in the first trimester? I've just booked flights to my mum's for the end of September and realised that according to my ovulation calendar I might be either pregnant (FX!) or on AF that very week. NHS Direct website says there's no reason not to fly, but that some women choose not to because there's more risk of MC in the first twelve weeks. Thanks for that confusion hmm BLAH

ChubbyKitty Fri 23-Aug-13 22:38:42

I didn't think you could fly in the last trimester, although I was never sure why.

leezl Fri 23-Aug-13 22:42:05

That's what I thought ChubbyKitty! Assume it's so you don't give birth in the air or something lol! I'm sure it'll be fine but I'm confused by the conflicting info!

leezl Fri 23-Aug-13 22:46:51

Also hope your DP isn't broken for long ;)

Leezl said first trimester not last you wally wink I think it's more personal choice leezl tbh x

Currently watching on demand OBEM, bad move, making me very broody!

leezl Fri 23-Aug-13 23:10:57

Hahaha wally

ChubbyKitty Fri 23-Aug-13 23:12:41

Yeah I know..I'd never heard about the first trimester thing. I thought you were meant to get all your flying out the way by 6 months haha.

I assume not wanting you to give birth mid air is because it would be terribly messy in the middle of the aisle or something.

He said its got red bits like he gets on his biceps when he lifts too much at the gym. Didn't know that was a thing either!

onefunkymama Fri 23-Aug-13 23:19:11

mrsmummytobe Fri 23-Aug-13 23:21:14

internationallove985 Fri 23-Aug-13 23:29:15

Hi Mrs mummy to be off course you jump on the bus. It's lovely to be the first to welcome you aboard. Sending baby dust to you as well. I've just spent the last few hours hopefully creating a new life. xx

Leezl he'll live!grin But I'll give him a rest tonight.

but I'll make a fancy pasta dish tomorrow and seduce him with carbs

Hi new passengers!!!

Has he fixed overnight Chubby? Omg red bits, sounds err, sore! wink

God my back is killing! I went to exercise class on Tuesday for the first time in a few months to try and shift some weight before getting pg (I'm a stone heavier than last time), and I think they have actually crippled me!
Would have loved a lie in, but ds raring to go at 5.50, but didn't actually get me up out of bed until 6.30 and my turn to get up pah!

englishteacher78 Sat 24-Aug-13 07:20:01

Sorry if it's TMI but is anyone else struggling to enjoy sex when it's so bloody muggy! We have window open, fan on and yet it's a little too hot and steamy. Even the rain isn't clearing the mugginess here.

leezl Sat 24-Aug-13 07:59:09

Haha YES Englishteacher! It's gross >.<

jaykay987 Sat 24-Aug-13 08:06:55

It's really muggy here too. Horrible! Difficult to sleep, so that coupled with my slight weekend lie-ins has left me with a blimp in my bbt temps!

I've had a nightmare today already! Temp is dodgy (I know it'll be fine and Ill till see a pattern by the end of my cycle, but when I look at my cycle now - it makes it confusing! I'm currently in the low before my pot ovulation high - so am monitoring it like a hawk so I know when I've ovulated. But hot temps and a liein has left me with a temp that would be higher than normal, which it confusing to my pattern spotting eye!

Then (and the rant continues!) I went for FMU wee which normally I collect in a bottle. Only I "missed" and only caught a dribble! TMI - but normally I have a lot of FMU, today not so much (I blame the weather!) so I couldn't even get a bit more out! So then struggled to do CB OPK this morning!

I think I rescued it (transferred to a ramekin making it easier to get OPK in)
Does that make me posh if I technically PIAR today? grin

Anyway - flashing smiley came through that I was expecting yesterday - so that's good.

Think I need to add the symptom "irritable" to my tracker for this time of the month! grin

How's everyone planning to spend their weekend? I've got three packed days ahead (unusual for us). Need to make sure we dtd a lot too!

Piar lmao!

englishteacher78 Sat 24-Aug-13 08:27:17

DH is on night shifts and he's not really morning person. I think I'll be very lucky to get a BFP this month.

DisneyDiva87 Sat 24-Aug-13 09:40:15

I don't know what this muggy is you are talking about its very fresh all the way up here grin.

I'm gonna POAS this morning. I'm putting it off cause I think it'll be negative I'm only doing it cause I'm going to a wedding today and I want to make sure I'm not before I lay into the booze wink

lucyfluff Sat 24-Aug-13 10:45:44

Muggy here too sad dtd last night according to app it was prime time!! We are enroute to norfolk for a few days currently on M3 praying we miss traffic. Will be good to get away for a few days and relax smile

Hope everyone has a fab baby-making bank holiday ;)

internationallove985 Sat 24-Aug-13 11:30:17

Hi Lucy Fluff. I also hope you have a fab baby making holiday.
Although there'll be no baby making for me over the holiday as I'm not seeing him till Wednesday. (circumstances) He stayed over last night though. We D.T.D last night in the early hours and this morning. I'm past my fertile window but I still live in hope and I firmly believe that sex should also be for fun as well baby making. xx
If we have any new people joined, welcome. xx

ChubbyKitty Sat 24-Aug-13 13:01:26

Disney what happened!?

I think he's fixed today. He seemed cheerful when he was leaving for work and he was chatting to the cats while he fed them.

I tried Fertility Friend last night and I'm still not sure what happened. It's so complicated!

Well, we've tried twice to dtd today, not that I would be anywhere near ov, but got to start as we mean to go on right smile
Anyway, ds was downstairs watching tv having breaky, we were in the shower, and in he walked, oops. Then he started crying as he thought dh was attacking me I think hmm
Then dh got out (of the shower), and took him back downstairs for a bit and settled him back down, came back up and we tried again and ds came up the stairs. God, does he want a brother or sister or not grin
Will try when he's gone to bed I think!

ExactlyWhat Sat 24-Aug-13 18:36:59

Haha choccy...sympathise with you there!
We're going away for the night next weekend on our own, and I am looking forward to morning sex as since having dcs that is a thing of the past - they do not seem to understand lie-ins whatsoever.

internationallove985 Sat 24-Aug-13 19:33:28

Hi choccywoccydodah. I'm convinced I'm the only women in the world who has to have scheduled bleedin sex. Due to both our circumstances I only get it 3 days a week, although if I add up all the times we D.T.D over the week it's more that 7 times a so I suppose you could call it the equivelent to once a day or more. for example we D.T.D 4 times last night once in the early hours and twice this morning, so that was 7 times in the last 24 hours lone, so not too bad at all. However there's no action for me till Wednesday evening though. (Sad face)
There's no chance of my D.D catching me in the act (god I'd die) as I only D.T.D when she is out, of course I don't want her to think sex is wrong but it's just not something I'd be comfortable with and I'm no prude believe me, She knows I see him and she's fine with that. Also good luck with D.T.D tonight. xx
Also welcome aboard Exactly what. xx

onefunkymama Sat 24-Aug-13 19:34:14

Q. Last month I was so excited, I got 4 BFP's so very happy, then 5 days late AF came along big time. Does anyone know when I might ovulate this month?

Omg onefunkymama, I didn't know you could get a false positive! Not a clue with you ov.

Got that horrid metal taste, I remember this from last time ugh! Just been through my diary that I kept but can't find it in there argh!

PurpleGeekyGirl Sat 24-Aug-13 20:49:50

Hello! How is everyone? We had a fab time climbing snowdon but omg do my legs ache now! Managed to dtd, albeit very quietly (!!), in the tent so hopefully am not out of the running this cycle as I ovd on Friday according to my cb and symptoms. Baby dust to everyone!

wispaxmas Sat 24-Aug-13 21:17:26

Onefunkymama, are you on any meds that might interfere wi hormones? According to mayo clinic:

"A false-positive might happen if you had a pregnancy loss soon after the fertilized egg attached to your uterine lining (biochemical pregnancy) or you take a pregnancy test too soon after taking a fertility drug that contains HCG. An ectopic pregnancy or menopause also might contribute to misleading test results."

internationallove985 Sat 24-Aug-13 21:23:21

Well done on climbing Snowdon. If I wore a hat I'd take it off to you. R.e D.T.D quietly I wouldn't be able to. I'm somewhat of a screamer.(blush) Just learned I'm ovulating today (thought it was last week) so I'm hoping D.T.D last night in the early hours and this morning has done the trick He must have thought all his christmases easters and birthdays had came at once. We D.T.D. 7 times in all.
It'd amazing if you have concieved on mount Snowdon. xxx

onefunkymama Sat 24-Aug-13 21:31:15

No, no meds. I don't think it was a false positive, my sense of smell went through the roof and had some mild cramps, so I suspoct that I concieved and lost it almost straight away

internationallove985 Sat 24-Aug-13 21:40:01

So sorry for your loss onefunkymama. xxx

Oh no, so sorry OFM hmm fingers crossed for a quick one that sticks. Hugs to you xx

International, 7 times, really!! Christ I wouldn't be able to move!

We managed it tonight although halfway through ds move in bed and banged his head and we thought he'd woken, but he didn't. We thought we were never going to finish what we'd started 3 times! wink

internationallove985 Sat 24-Aug-13 23:08:16

Hi Choccywoccydohdar, well it wasn't 7 times in a row, now that would be inpressive! 4 times from 7-8.30 last night 1 time in the early hours he woke me up feeling as horny as hell at about 4am we D.T.D till around 4.30am. and again this morning twice. 9-10. I always have to check the time when I start and finish D.T.D. don't know why.
Glad you managed to D.T.D tonight. and you know what they say about 3rd time lucky!
I've also learned I 'm actually in ovulation as well. So keep everything crossed for me, expect (ahem) legs. xxx

coco808 Sat 24-Aug-13 23:11:48

7 times in 24 hrs international!!!! Don't think I managed that even in my teenage years!!

cupcake we are testing on the same day smile. Are you going to give in before or wait till the 21st?

ChubbyKitty Sun 25-Aug-13 00:38:47

On fertility friend there is a little blue triangle for today now I've put my info in.

I have no idea what I'm doing.

onefunkymama Sun 25-Aug-13 00:39:41

7 times ... twice a day seems lame now!

onefunkymama Sun 25-Aug-13 00:42:14

Looking forward to seeing some people getting their BFP here this month, fingers crossed I join that group too

Kemie Sun 25-Aug-13 03:51:58

This is going to be a long ol 2ww, symptom spotting ALREADY! Are my boobs usually sore this early? I honestly don't know hmm am on cd19

DisneyDiva87 Sun 25-Aug-13 11:06:45

Sorry for the POAS and run. It was negative of course hmm at least I was able to have a few at the wedding instead though.

The dog has fallen asleep on my leg so now I'm stuck in bed (what a shame!)

lucyfluff Sun 25-Aug-13 11:57:49

sad oh Disney - are you due AF yet? Maybe it was a bit early to test?

God I can't remember when we had sex twice in one day.....getting old.com!!

ChubbyKitty Sun 25-Aug-13 12:25:43

Kemie my boobs are also killing me, it's quite early for me too!

Sometimes they hurt before AF but like you it's too early so fx!

Kemie Sun 25-Aug-13 12:35:48

chubby I always have sore boobs 3 or 4 days before AF, not 10 days though, at least I don't think so, they're not massively sore, but enough to notice... fx it's a good sign

DisneyDiva87 Sun 25-Aug-13 13:39:33

It was hugely early to test for me but did it just in case I got a positive and then I'd have known not to drink at the wedding. The only pg symptom I've had so far is dreams.

My boobs usually get sore about a week before AF and then settle down again a couple days before AF actually arrives. AF is due a week tomorrow so I'll be on the look out for achy boobs

Cupcake1985 Sun 25-Aug-13 13:44:39

coco808 yey a testing buddy - feels like ages away! Last month I came on a day late and my hopes were so high..... I have only just realised you can do the test earlier and I do actually think I might do it just before otherwise all I'm thinking about at work is how I'm dreading going for a wee. In my head I've already designed the nursery and decided on my due date! Need to calm down hmm so yes maybe the 18th or something? Don't want to dash my hopes too early? What are you thinking? X

Little blue triangle is you've dtd wink

Disney, looking back in my diary from last time and the month I caught I was dreaming a lot! Fx smile

mrsmummytobe Sun 25-Aug-13 15:27:43

Kemie and Chubby my boobs have also been feeling sore for a few days now & I've been feeling really hormonal and moody (poor dh!). I'm on cd 21 so feel like it's too early for either pms or early pg signs! Weird!

International, I am in awe of your stamina! I don't think I've ever done it 7 times in 24 hours!! smile

internationallove985 Sun 25-Aug-13 15:36:11

Well Mrsmummytobe. I suppose that's beauty of only having set days to D.T.D when we do we certainly make up for it. xx

DisneyDiva87 Sun 25-Aug-13 18:21:06

Don't tell me that choccy. I'll get my hopes up!

leezl Sun 25-Aug-13 19:17:36

AF is due tomorrow. I resisted the urge to buy a test today - waiting on Internet cheapies to arrive! I've been extremely emotional yesterday and today, lots of crying but no cramps which I usually get with PMS. I'm not usually this emotional with PMS but I'm putting it down to that anyway for now!
We DTD a couple of days ago and there was a tiny bit of blood afterwards, as though I was just about to come on, but nothing since. So idk! I almost want AF to come tomorrow to break this emotional rollercoaster!

How's everyone else been today? I've been cleaning furiously so haven't had time to drop in. Any bank holiday plans?

PurpleGeekyGirl Sun 25-Aug-13 20:00:04

Omg international! I don't think I managed that in my teens or twenties and certainly couldn't now I am nearly 40!

My legs still ache today!! Need to up fitness levels I think... Am officially on 2dpo now. How I love the tww. Not.
