Anyone trying for no 3?

Going to start trying for a third in August, I already have a dd10 and a ds7. I don't mind a boy or a girl but if I could choose I would choose a girl as still have all dd gorgeous little dresses and cardigans don't know what happened to ds clothes!
Anyone else mad enough to try for a third??

Handsfullandlovingit Tue 30-Jul-13 17:16:30

Me! Have dd 4.5 and ds 2. Swing between longing to blossom with bump, give birth and have baby cuddles and being stricken with terror about how I'd cope if we get lucky! This one's taking a little while to come along, dd was a whoops, ds happened 2nd month trying. Still, 4 months is nothing compared to some of the people on these threads. Feel so blessed already. Good luck to you!

Hendricks Tue 30-Jul-13 17:39:50

I've also got an elder daughter and a younger son and have just started TTC. Not entirely sure if we're not completely insane or not, but hey ho! Good luck to both of you!

ELR Tue 30-Jul-13 18:57:18

Hi guys, at least I've got two fellow nutters to hold hands with! Good luck ladies. hands I know what you mean about being blessed its great and sometimes I wonder whether we should just be happy with our perfect two....

Handsfullandlovingit Tue 30-Jul-13 21:53:37

But there are only 3. That must prove we are nutters! I suspect our efforts this month have come to nothing, I was so grouchy with my poor little ones it can only mean af is on her way. Boo!

ELR Tue 30-Jul-13 21:57:43

I am due on, on Thursday/Friday and will start trying after that. So should be ovulating around 13/14th August managed to fall pregnant first month of trying with ds and second month with dd not sure how long it will take this time as I'm 36 now! How do is everyone else?

ELR Tue 30-Jul-13 22:00:00

Sorry how old is everyone else?!

Handsfullandlovingit Tue 30-Jul-13 22:19:10

31, but a whole lot more tired than the last two times...

Luxlisbon82 Tue 30-Jul-13 23:14:04

Hiya
I'm 31 with an 11 & 9 year old, after all these years trying again. Just got married and decided to go for one last baby. My 2 sons are growing up so quickly,so looking forward to going back to the baby stage, but maybe my memory is a little fuzzy! I'm in the dtd stage of 1st cycle since first real af, no idea how long it will take now I'm older though
Nice to see some others the same situation,
Good luck everyone

Hendricks Tue 30-Jul-13 23:35:47

I am 36 too ELR. #1 was also a bit of a surprise for us hands, #2 was conceived on cycle 3, although I think this was only the first cycle I ovulated on following #1's birth. I was 30 when I conceived first time and 32 second time

I'm wondering if we'll be as lucky again (this is cycle 1) or whether since we last TTC things will have changed significantly. Guess only time will tell! Going from a less than 2 year gap to at least a 3.5 year gap is, I imagine, going to feel a bit weird. Especially as I seem to have forgotten most of the chaos associated with teeny babies!

Good luck luxlisbon - hope your cycles settle down.

Lisatay25 Tue 30-Jul-13 23:39:27

Me 2 grinim 26 and me and my dh have a gorgeous dd 4 on Sunday and our handsome little man is 3 on November we have been trying for 8 months gettin a little impatient lol just signed up for a clear blue trial this month so fingers crossed smile) xx

Me but not till Xmas! Am 32 and have dd1 3.4 and dd2 17 months. Worried about managing 3 plus work and about how many bathrooms we will need if we have another girl.

Luxlisbon82 Wed 31-Jul-13 09:00:25

Thanks Hendricks, seemed to go straight to textbook 28 days cycle so hoping for that to be the norm.

It's exciting trying for number 3, I think most people expect you to stop at two but I'd love a big family though 3 might have to be our limit due to house/car space.

Pommedechocolat you made me laugh- basically put bathrooms in every nook and cranny if you've got a house full of girls, otherwise the fights are horrendous- I grew up like this! My two follow each other everywhere, Inc toilet and bathroom which is a bit gross really...

ELR Wed 31-Jul-13 11:24:38

Yay another 3 people so maybe we aren't so mad after all!
lux glad it's not just me with the really big age gaps. It will be like totally starting again as don't have a baby thing in the house apart from a few clothes and some reins!
Getting really excited, started taking folic acid too so starting to feel more like it could happen. Me and DH keep saying if we have another baby ect ect, soon we could be saying when the baby comes!!

Luxlisbon82 Wed 31-Jul-13 18:42:28

I know ELR, I'm currently mourning my beautiful wooden high chair, gorgeous cot bed, baby Bjorn, 3 prams of various sizes- all given away. I'm hoping people will be just as generous back this time. I know it's not worth buying everything brand new and you don't use half the stuff you buy first time round.

Completely feel like a first timer might even go to antenatal classes when I'm pg, my last Labour lasted 20 mins start to finish so need to remind myself it's not always that quick and easy(ish). I'm even excited at this prospect!
Just been hanging out with my two nieces who are 3 and 1 and all the kids played so nicely I'm feeling more confident that life won't turn into a complete circus. We'll see though...

Handsfullandlovingit Wed 31-Jul-13 22:00:43

Evening fellow nutters. We are still flooded with high chairs, cots slings etc. Our house will seem so much bigger when all that paraphernalia can be passed on (hopeful). Well, I'm feeling sad that af has arrived as predicted. I had textbook implantation bleeding like previous 2 pregnancies, but af arrived early anyway. Wondering what the first two did up there, it was so easy previous attempts! Still, dh appears to be looking on the bright side iyswim...

ELR Wed 31-Jul-13 22:11:20

hands I too have started my period today! So it means officially will be trying the month! Apparently day 8, 11 and 13!

Idislikemymil Wed 31-Jul-13 22:15:35

Good luck ladies. Having 3 is wonderful.

ELR Wed 31-Jul-13 23:25:06

lux my first labour was 4hrs26mins and my last labour was 1hour 4minutes so hoping for another quicky!
Apparently 3rd is supposed to be the worse arrggg........ Well so I read somewhere! To be honest I've had worse migraines than labour, so I really hope it's untrue about the 3rd being the worst.

Luxlisbon82 Thu 01-Aug-13 11:07:55

I remember being pg with my 2nd and the midwife telling me to call her as soon as I felt the 1st contraction(thank God I did) as she said 2nd babies can come extremely quickly (he did). Then she cryptically said something along the lines of "when it's a third that's when you run into trouble" and that's haunting me now. Keeping positive and getting fit so I can take on whatever Labour throws at me!
Sorry af arrived handsful but good luck this month, I'm sure you won't have to wait long if you've conceived easily in the past. Good luck to everyone embarking on ttc this month, I'm still in my fertile window so praying the weather doesn't sabotage attempts, it's getting warm here! Half looking forward to the not knowing and excitement of what could be in the 2ww, half don't want to get my hopes up as it's early days and could take months.

Annakin31 Fri 02-Aug-13 10:02:26

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

Oh, annakin31 that's very similar to me in pretty much every aspect (recently married two years, two dds of similar ages, waiting till xmas). Here's hoping we both catch quickly and continue the parallel lives thing smile

Handsfullandlovingit Fri 02-Aug-13 22:10:42

Lux, thank you. Elr, Ovulation buddies, whoever thought I'd ever have one of those! It is so lovely talking to others with the same hopes, it makes me feel less insane. It's when both dcs talk at me simultaneously, I can't imagine focussing on 3, argh! Still, I grew up as first of 3, as did dh, and it's fun. There would always be a space at the table if we don't at least try again. Great decision Anna, that's so romantic!

whenhenshaveteeth Sat 03-Aug-13 20:38:06

Evening ladies,

We've got 2 DS(4 and 10m) we always said we'd have 3 until DS2 arrived, then we thought that as lovely as it is 3 might be too many for us to handle.

We sold our baby car seat the other day and I was suddenly struck by sadness... DH responded by saying we could always buy another one if needed. It's early days I thought and I'm only 32 so let's wait and see how we feel in a few years.

Then it struck me that my period was due and that it still hadn't arrived... We're using the pulling out method, which really isn't a method, is it? It's just being lazy. I'm on d39 and still nothing but I'm feeling wiped out. Eeeeek!

Don't know how I'd feel if I actually was pregnant - she says sipping a glass of wine. OMG! We got pregnant with DS2 with one single attempt, can the swimmers literally commando crawl up there???

internationallove985 Sat 03-Aug-13 22:04:57

Well I'm technically trying for number 3. My first is an angel (m/c) I now have a gorgeous D.D and I'm trying again. Although I'm out for now as the witch (a.f) turned up this morning. xx

whenhenshaveteeth Sat 03-Aug-13 22:05:22

Turns out they can't! I went to the loo just after typing the previous post and guess what?

It's probably for the best, DS2 is only tiny and I want to keep enjoying babyhood. At the same time, the possibility of a third didn't scare me as much as I thought it would, so I think I'm going to enjoy my boys for now but never say never...

Good luck to you ladies!

ThreeGoMad Mon 05-Aug-13 14:03:15

Can I join please? smile

We have 4.5 yo DD and just 2 yo DS, which is a bigger gap than I wanted/planned for but going for similar this time round as it works well plus I was worried that the oldest might get left out if there was a bigger age gap between her and the middle than the younger two (I'm the oldest of three and there was a bigger age gap between me and #2 than between him and #3 ... !).

I'm 37 (yesterday!) so relatively old I guess - was later than I planned to be ttc tbh but see longer age gap than planned above ... We were really lucky and got pg within three months the first time, with DS it took ages due to still bfing messing up my cycles, but my cycle seems to be a nice regular 27-28 days atm so am hoping it will be a bit quicker this time smile

Could really do with August being our month for various reasons but we're going on a family camping trip while I'm OVing so not sure how that's going to work ...

I'm actually slightly terrified (I'm about to post a thread over on parenting about struggling with two sad) but I'm hoping it will get easier once they're out of the toddler phase ... (doesn't it?).

ELR Mon 05-Aug-13 20:03:46

Hi all, how is everyone doing? Just finishing my period so the ttd will start with a vengeance soon! hands can honestly say I've never had an ovulation buddy either!

Meee, Im trying for number 3.

I have dd, 6, and ds, 4. Concieved with both of them on 1st go, but I was only 18 and 20.

Now Im 25 and Im currently on cycle 4. Fucking FOUR! Im broken sad Although to be fair, DH was away with work during ovulation on months 1&2, so they didnt really count.

AF is due on the 12th. 7 days to go, its driving me demented.

Luxlisbon82 Tue 06-Aug-13 11:43:19

Yes! More people, we're all mad here, welcome! I'm in the start of the 2ww, but off to London for the last week of it it so no symptom spotting and lots of family fun, taking the boys to Harry potter studios etc. Af due day after I get back so not allowing myself to even contemplate poas till then.

Hope everyone is well, what stages are you all at?

maybe3x Tue 06-Aug-13 15:08:31

Yes meeee! Got 2 DS's age 7&4, always wanted 3 but has taken this long to persuade OH... We've been TTC for about 9 months on and off with no luck sad I'm 37 now and paranoid that I'm too old and my eggs have decided to pack in, got PG 1st time with both my boys and the 3MC I had so am worrying it might not happen. Anyway can I join madness of the trying for 3 bus?? smile

Handsfullandlovingit Tue 06-Aug-13 16:59:40

Hello there nutters! We might be a rare breed, but it's good to stick together. We are in the running up to ov stage so I have bought grapefruit juice in my lunch break. It doesn't look very nice but at least it is pink which is a slight compensation... I'm using my (turns out useless for contraception) persona as an ovulation predictor, but strangely forgot to test this morning at 4.30am when dh left for his flight waking the sprogs. Think it won't work this month then! I'm doing something quite tedious at work, so I keep doodling baby names on my papers. I must stop, or work will catch on! Good luck everyone.

maybe3x Tue 06-Aug-13 17:09:24

Hiya handsfull can I ask what's the significance of the grapefruit juice? I need to spend an evening Googling I think to revise all the getting pg hints since I'm having no luck!

Handsfullandlovingit Tue 06-Aug-13 19:40:28

Well, according to mumsnet wisdom recently dredged from these boards it's, um, meant to increase, um, ewcm. Ew, but frankly, whatever it takes after 4 months! I also read my v good nutrition book and one small glass has shedloads of vit c and other good stuff so it really can't hurt.

Hendricks Wed 07-Aug-13 09:10:23

Ooh - more people joining in the madness! Hello everyone - hope your BFPs aren't too long in coming.

I'm on the 2ww now, due the day after you on the 13th monkeyfacegrace I'm trying not to symptom spot metallic taste in mouth and a touch of nausea yesterday. I've ordered a couple of pregnancy tests from Superdrug. Hopefully as they've been sent standard delivery they won't turn up until Saturday so I can't use them until Sunday, so only 3 days early!

Bloob Wed 07-Aug-13 20:44:02

Ooh can I join?!

Think I could be slightly insane as have a 4 year old dd and a 13 month old ds. If we conceived this month we'd have a 22 month age gap shock

I don't think we'll have managed it though, I had my first period after having ds on the 19th July and despite doing loads of OPKs it didn't say I was ovulating once confused

We were also staying with my parents last week which inhibited us slightly!! grin

Is anyone else a little nervous?

Handsfullandlovingit Wed 07-Aug-13 22:33:57

Bloob, yes, I suspect lots of us feel nervous, I swing between broody and terrified at the prospect! We would have a 3 yr age gap if we get lucky this month, and that is plenty scary enough for me...

Currently trying to persuade dh to go into work late so I can sleep now and dtd in the morning, not working though, so off I go. Wish us luck, yawn!

I have a 23 month age gap between dd1 and dd2. It was manic but quite fun too smile

I'm aiming for 30 months between dc2 and 3 so dd1 will have just started school when dc3 is born. I need to conceive in January please ttc gods!

There was a good article yesterday on the Daily Mail Femail website (i know, I know...) about a woman who wanted 3 but who's dh wanted to stop at 2. It said everything I feel about 2 being too'neat' somehow.

Sometimes though, like this am, tyring to get to work with the dds both crying, three seems like madness!

ELR Thu 08-Aug-13 21:26:58

Hi all, so a bit tmi but dtd today and DH couldn't even after about 30 minutes of constant shagging!! He said it was the pressure of me expecting him to, I eventually got the hump which I suppose is what he is referring to! It's going to take ages to get pregnant if DH can't supply the goods!!

Handsfullandlovingit Thu 08-Aug-13 21:59:07

Oh ELR, you poor sausage, and your poor dh. I have absolutely no helpful advice (good stiff drink to jolly things up?) but wanted to sympathise. My dh occasionally has the opposite problem, but is somewhat, um, a bit worn out right now! Better luck next time. X

Elr, dh was like this with ttc no 1. A kind of performance anxiety. He got over it (obviously!) - fingers crossed your dh gets over it sooner rather than later too.

ELR Thu 08-Aug-13 22:53:55

He's always been one to go on for ever, usually I don't mind but the only thing on my mind today was come on get it over with so I can stick my legs in the air!! Terrible I know but my only thought was conception must of had an expected look on my face.
Thanks ladies for the sympathy.

Bloob Sat 10-Aug-13 00:35:24

More sympathy for you ELR.

Although you do paint a funny picture grin

ELR Sat 10-Aug-13 22:08:22

And now he's got a bloody cold!! It's going to be like sex in pretty women, as I def don't want a cold! No kissing!
Tomorrow day10 of cycle is supposed to be the first potential fertile day of the month, fingers crossed the stage fright has gone.....
How is everyone else doing?

Still waiting for dec!

We've told both sets of GPS we're thinking of a third and basically dh told my friends today so now I think I might get stage fright!

I veer from excited to totally and utterly petrified within the hour. 1 to 2 wasn't even a decision here, it was just taken for granted that we would. 2 to 3 seems much more major in comparison.

ELR Tue 13-Aug-13 00:11:09

Yay finally dtd! My first fertile day today so will have to try again Wednesday! Good luck everyone else.....

Whoop whoop! Fingers crossed for the first BFP on this thread!

Having slight panic attacks today about having 3 littlies as my dds are being mega energetic!

ELR Tue 13-Aug-13 10:19:05

I know what you mean pomme my two have been being little monkeys these last few days and I was thinking oh my god what am I doing but it soon changes back to oh a little baby wouldn't that be nice!!

dd2 just starting to do some words and talk a bit. Cannot imagine this being the last time I get to join in this stage with a child of mine. I do also just feel constantly like someone is missing, like life is too easy!

Have you spoken to your two about their being another sibing elr - what do they think? DD1 is constantly asking me for another baby.

Hendricks Tue 13-Aug-13 13:16:34

After that AF turned up early, so I'm now CD3 of cycle 2! Ah well, onwards and upwards - and this time round I'e actually got some vitamins in.

1 to 2 was a no brainer for us either pommedchocolat Deciding to go for 3 has been a bit trickier. After a short gap between 1 and 2 we do seem to be moving away from baby days already. Haven't got rid of anything though... Shall just see what happens - good luck everyone!

ELR Tue 13-Aug-13 19:57:47

pomme dd is 10 and ds is 7 and both really want us to have another baby! Wonder what they will think in reality though!!

ThreeGoMad Wed 14-Aug-13 07:34:38

CD11 here. Must have sex tonight. Must have sex tonight. Must have sex tonight. TTC is so romantic!

Can't believe I used the wrong 'their'. Opps! Thats sweet ELR - no pressure though!

Good luck ThreeGoMad!

Anyone have any preference on what flavour dc3 is? I have two girls so a boy would be nice for me but I think a girl might be cool for the dds as three sisters sounds awesome (poor dh though!).

Bloob Thu 15-Aug-13 14:15:12

I have dd then ds so I think a girl would be nice, stop it turning into " dd and the boys" also ds and dc3 will be closer in age so I don't really want her left out. I don't have a huge preference though, it would just be more convenient! I love baby boys!

My af is due any day... Every time I go to the loo I say a little prayer. And then when there's still nothing I think - wait, am I crazy?!

Luxlisbon82 Thu 15-Aug-13 15:16:39

I'm due any day now too, but not feeling too hopeful. Just trying to forget about it but got a feeling af will come bang on time booo.

I have always wanted a little girl as I have 2 boys and this would be the last baby so would be nice, but right now I don't care, just want a bfp. Properly grumpy and doomladen so guess that's me out for this month.

How is everyone else? Anyone testing soon, need some positive news and inspiration!

SarahBumBarer Fri 16-Aug-13 16:22:01

Gulp! Ok - me, Can I join - I'm trying for DC3? Well nearly. AF just arrived so as soon as it's gone then I need to have my coil taken out. But then the TTC can commence.

I have DS (3) and DD (14 months) and I have no strong preference - not going to find out the sex - but I have a teeny tiny preference for a boy. Having had a bit of a scare with DD though I really really just want a healthy baby.

Oh and I'm ancient (39) More of my friends becoming grannies than mothers these days!

wine while I still can!

ELR Fri 16-Aug-13 20:59:28

Hello, just checking in currently on holiday in the French alps and managed dtd on day 14. So am officially in the tww after dtd on day 11 and day 14 we were just so tired on days 12 and 13 so hopefully one of those days will be a success.
Really hoping for a girl but a boy would be fab too, I am def going to find out I can't stand surprises or suspense!
Good luck to all of you waiting for af never to arrive!

Hi, can I join thread please with the other nutters!
Have a 14 year old dd & almost 4 year old ds. For the last 2 years have been ttc but went back on my pill after 18 months as thought we're mad, we're skint, we are crippled with mortgage & our house is tiny! Also when I'm off my pill my hormones are all over the place!
I know in my heart though that I desperately want another baby and at 35 I can feel my biological clock ticking so we're back trying. The romantic in me thinks we have enough love for another ha, if I'm lucky enough to conceive sure I won't feel that with 2 hourly feeding a new born!
Did the bd and now in 2 week wait and as always symptom spotting. Due next week.
Good luck ladies smile x

oo im so jealous of all the people trying already!

Jealous of the holiday too elr!

BunnyBaby Sun 18-Aug-13 21:49:27

Ooh, hello ladies, I'm in!

Decided to TTC this week, I'm 37, and I have 2 DS aged 5 and 2.

I also had a MMC between them. It took almost a year TTC DS1 and I caught DS2 the first month I had a normal cycle post-MC of our beloved angel baby.

Usual concerns about being post-35, will it be different as DS1 was a vaginal birth and DS2 was emergency section, could this affect my ability to conceive?

I also had gallbladder out last month, and didn't want to TTC / be pregnant with all that pain, so ahem, this is my first normal cycle post op. Although I think my cycle which went a bit skewy has settled down now gallbladder gone.

So I'm optimistic, and looking forwards to getting to know you all.

Is there a pregnancy thread for no. 3's?

My DS1 is desparate for another sibling, and is busy thinking of names, he was/is quite challenging to DS2, so I'm unsure how the dynamic will change there.

DH is the most laid back I've ever seen him about the prospect of a 3rd, especially as he was panic stations at the responsibility of the 1st, but it's nice to see him so relaxed.

My tummy is ruined with the two boys (DS2 was +10lb) and the gall bladder has left more scars, so have no vanity worries anymore.

Speak to you all soon.

Oh and CD8 at the moment, and DTD on CD6, and.. well it's down to DH..

ELR Mon 19-Aug-13 08:40:05

bunny good luck I know what you mean about the ruined tummy!!
How is everyone else doing?
I am in the two week wait and have every symptom in the world I'm so paranoid! Currently feeling slightly queasy and weeing a lot and I think my nipples feeling tingly but not sure! To be honest all this stuff usually happens anyway around a week before af so just not sure.
I fell pregnant both times on first go with first two so I'm hoping it will happen again.

BunnyBaby Mon 19-Aug-13 13:51:13

ELR, the 2WW is nerve wracking.. I've caught quickly the 2nd time and slowly the 1st, so unsure what to expect, coupled with my post-35 age, though saw an article about it not being any different in late 30's so we'll see.

My two are Christmas babies, so looking at the EDD's from now we're looking at May onwards. It would be nice to have a summer baby for a change :-)

When were everyone else's born?

Mine are early spring babies, I'd like an autumn/winter one this time (we're not starting until Dec time to ttc).

1st time with dd1, 3rd time with dd2 here. I'd be hoping for quickly again! too! TTC sex is not that great imho smile

Twoboysmummy Mon 19-Aug-13 15:19:17

OOOh I am so excited!

AF returned on saturday after over 2 years with no period. DS2 is 17 months old and first period since I had him. I also have ds1 who is 3 (4 in november).

We will be ttc number 3 now! Must be mad!

ELR Mon 19-Aug-13 18:43:37

Mine are both November babies only 4 days apart so I'm hoping for a summer baby too this time. pomme you are so right ttc sex is not that great!!

Handsfullandlovingit Mon 19-Aug-13 23:11:04

Hi nutters! Like ELR, now on 2ww for fifth month. This month was amazing though, we monitored the cycle and since we were on hols, frankly went a bit ott with the whole trying thing! Yay! Now enjoying a good bit of rest back at work

TwoCrazyKids Mon 19-Aug-13 23:58:19

I've wrote this message 3 times but won't post for some reason, anyway, we're trying for number 3. Ds1 is 4.5 and ds2 is 3.5. We decided on a whim last week and started straight away do hopefully didn't miss it.

We didn't plan the boys blush so don't know much regarding ovulation etc. if I have sore boobs and one sided hip pain, does that mean I'm ovulating or about to ovulate??? Af due the 1st of September x

charleslingus Tue 20-Aug-13 09:40:11

Hi,
I've namechanged, used to be luxlisbon!

Mine were due Christmas day and Valentine's day, both were a little late but with my birthday being not long after New year and dh' s birthday being on Valentine's day could really do with a spring/early summer baby.

Very aware there is no choice in the matter tho!

My two took no time at all and 4 months consecutively to conceive but I hadn't been on pill so not sure if this will affect things. On month 2 since first real af but month 3 since breakthrough and coming off pill, so who knows! Oh and 10 years older then last time!

Twocrazy, where are you in your cycle, I normally ov on day 14/15 and get the pain prob between day 13-15. But my cycle is 28 days and everyone varies.

Mumsnet has an ovulation calender in which you put in your stats- your last af,cycle length etc and it will give you a fertile week, or you can download free apps which will help you work out your fertile times, but the only sure fire way would be opks which you can pick up 20 for about 3 pounds on Amazon, they'll last a couple of months!

2lilgirls Tue 20-Aug-13 09:58:05

Helloooo everyone smile

I'll join you! AF has just finished and this will be our 3rd month ttc for number 3. I didn't use opk's the last 2 months, I said I'd begin with a relaxed approach. Obviously that didn't work!!

We are very sure of this, it will be our final baby. (All going well). But I'm also very nervous and on bad days I wonder am I mad!!

No.1 happened first month trying but no.2 took a year so Im really not sure what to expect this time.

Bunnybaby my last baby (now 2) was born by emergency Caesarian and my first dd was a vaginal delivery. I've never heard of previous c-sections having any effect on future conceptions. Lots of my friends have had c-sections and actually conceived a lot easier second time around, so I was of the opinion they may actually improve fertility.
My obstetrician told me after the section that everything looked great 'in there' and I remember being relieved as after a year ttc I was beginning to worry I had some issues.
I'm rambling now!

Best of luck to you all X

ThreeGoMad Wed 21-Aug-13 10:40:11

Argh just lost my message!

Up and down here. Fertility website reckoned I'd ov on Sun but was away on long w/e with no chance to dtd. Was hoping to bookend with sneaky shag either side but neither happened so was feeling bit sad/cross about not even having a punt at a May baby.

Then yesterday, CD17, had loads of ewcm and achy ovaries* so seduced DH. Wondering whether ov got delayed by stress of going away or if luteal phase is fucked.

*both sides! Hoping this doesn't mean anything. Know lots of people who went for #3 and had twins ...

ThreeFromDesire Thu 22-Aug-13 10:39:59

On 3 going for 4...

rocks back and forth in corner

SarahBumBarer Thu 22-Aug-13 13:49:56

Wll just got my appointment for coil removal and it is weeks away. I'm going to miss September ov for sure so it will be October before we have any chance and I think I might skip October because I want to take the DCs to Camp Bestival in July (kids myelf that I will be fine there at 8 months pregnant). Assuming it all happens that quickly of course (it did with DD shock)

TwoCrazyKids Thu 22-Aug-13 23:06:43

How's everyone feeling?? I might be just symptom spotting but my boobs have been so tingly. I'm dying to test but scared at the same time!

Die to test around the 1st...

onefunkymama Thu 22-Aug-13 23:17:05

Hi Ladies, we're also trying for number 3. Have DD 10 and DS 8, I'm 38 so this is a bit of a late addition. Trying for a four cycles, tested + this month but ended the next day. Back into bed we go!

ThreeGoMad Fri 23-Aug-13 01:30:41

On 2WW here though am really too impatient. Frustrating not knowing when I OVed so think will use opks next month. Very confused - had what I thought were ov pains a few days ago but have had achy lower torso/back for a few days now, plus now a bit spotty. So maybe am having super short cycle this month? Baffling.

CD20. Think I'm only about 3DPO though so at least a week to wait I'm a bugger for testing early blush

ThreeGoMad Fri 23-Aug-13 09:21:24

Ok wtf. I am SO achy. Did think it might be my gut blush but it's really low down. Not quite bad enough for painkillers but fancy curling up with a hot water bottle.

What can it be? Even if we got lucky this month (unlikely with timings) then surely it hasn't even implanted yet nor big enough to be stretching everything. Terrified my aging body has released all remaining eggs and I'm pregnant with octuplets

onefunkymama Fri 23-Aug-13 12:00:50

I'm wondering when my cycle goes back to normal after a false start... doc said to wait a month before trying again but I highly doubt that will happen! This time I'm going to wait until I am a couple of weeks late to test, four +'s then loads of bleeding didn't do much for my confidence!

onefunkymama Fri 23-Aug-13 12:03:01

How old are you guys? I'm 38 and wondering if I'm the only oldie trying for No 3

I am so jealous of the trying. We're starting december.

You made me giggle threegomad! That would be 10 children....

three from desire - please explain in great detail moving from 2 to 3. How old are your dcs?

I think we should create a roll call.

I will start:

pommedechocolat - 32, dds 3.5 and 18 months, ttc no 3 from dec

charleslingus Fri 23-Aug-13 14:21:19

Oh, yes threefrom, please tell us how it was for you and what kind of age gap you have? Don't sugar coat it, we can take it!

I'm on a tablet and can't figure out how to cut and paste but:

Charleslingus 31, ds' s 9 & 11, cycle 3, bfp 15th Sept

ThreeFromDesire Fri 23-Aug-13 18:48:22

pommedechocolat - 32, dds 3.5 and 18 months, ttc no 3 from dec
Charleslingus 31, ds' s 9 & 11, cycle 3, bfp 15th Sept
ThreeFromDesire 32, 12, 8 and 6, cycle 8, ttc#4, bfp 30th August

Two to three was a cinch! Just under two years gap between the last two and they get on famously most of the time
It's not really an issue from two to three except for when booking silly travel lodge rooms pre airport or utilising the family ticket options at attractions! Your car can stay the same and food shopping isn't too different cost wise.

Three to four means new minivan car and at the minute mine have a bedroom each plus we have a spare room which is handy but one more puts us at max capacity. I can't wait lol. I'm the eldest of nine and will go to five-seven or whatever I can squeeze in in between uni and work...

mypavlova Fri 23-Aug-13 19:05:56

hey onefunkymama we are going for 3 and I am 43. You are a spring chicken!

three - what car do you have? Do three car seats fit along the back of 'normal' cars?

onefunkymama Fri 23-Aug-13 23:05:02

Cool! To join the above
Onefunkymama 38, dd10 and ds 8, ttc #3 bfp on 4th cycle but went wrong, now on 5th cycle

ThreeFromDesire Sat 24-Aug-13 08:33:42

pomme
I've had several cars with my three brood but not had many years where I have needed three car seats at the same time. When I did I had the fiat multipla which is a six seater so I'm not much help to you on that front. The two youngest have gone rear facing until the age of four as well so wrt car seats and cars I'm probably not the most conventional person to ask.

I have at the minute got an Alfa as just downsized last year from a Renault espace (bloody amazing car) as hadn't decided on dc4 then! Looking at the new carens now with its flippy boot seats.

<not much help>

ELR Sat 24-Aug-13 09:32:17

I will add my stats too:
ELR- 36, dd10, ds7 ttc #3, cycle 1, BFP 29th August

I am symptom spotting like mad and its driving me crazy!
Had light cramping for last 2/3 days then yesterday thought I had a slight tinge of pink when I wiped having a wee, so was thinking implantation bleed. But then this morning had a headache and raised temp just like I do on the morning of my af! Boobs are sensitive and I have been having vivid dreams arrggg its driving me mad can't wait to Poas!!

TwoCrazyKids Mon 26-Aug-13 11:21:13

How is everyone doing??

My boobs are really really tingly the last few days. I tested this morning and there is a very very very slight line but not sure if it is an evap...I don't know when I ovulated (had really sore boobs and one sided hip pain on the 14th) so if I ovulated on 14 th I'm 12dpo but I could be less as not really up to scratch on all this conceiving malarkey...

ooooooooo sounds good two. 1st bfp on the thread?!

ELR Mon 26-Aug-13 16:14:12

Ooh two sounds good a line is a line!! Congrats!
I tested last night as my boobs are killing me but it was a bfn! Not due on till thurs/fri so still might be a chance but prob not!

TwoCrazyKids Mon 26-Aug-13 20:36:40

I don't know if it was a bfp. I've no more tests left. Going to get one in the morning. The line is defo there as sil saw it too... I don't want to get my hopes up because I've got evaps before.

ThreeGoMad Mon 26-Aug-13 21:32:48

I'm in the line is a line gang, so will offer tentative congrats grin How long did it take to appear? Fingers crossed for the morning.

I'm 37 for whoever asked ages - so officially past my unofficial cut off time for getting pg again but ach, who's counting? wink

I am trying not to symptom spot as still only a measly 5 DPO blush so from my obsessive googling couldn't have any symptoms anyway as possible fertilised egg hasn't even implanted yet even if this is our month ... BUT have been incredibly thirsty over the past couple of days and according to Google this can be a symptom (but then, according to Google almost ANYTHING can be a symptom wink).

Need to get some ebay cheapie tests but can't decide whether to get pg tests plus OPKs or just be optimistic and just get pg tests. Might get both and hope that sod's law kicks in and means the OPKs are unneeded ...

ELR Mon 26-Aug-13 22:10:34

three just had the same dilemma but just went for pregnancy tests in the end £2.69 for 20 on amazon!

TwoCrazyKids Mon 26-Aug-13 22:31:41

It came up within time limit but I'm not sure if it is grey or pinky. It's too faint to tell...I feel very weepy and really hot tingly boobs, I'll test tomorrow anyway..I hate symptom spotting!!!

ThreeGoMad Mon 26-Aug-13 22:38:37

That's allowing for some impressively obsessive testing grin Hadn't thought of Amazon, will take a look.

How did it go two?

TwoCrazyKids Tue 27-Aug-13 11:31:38

It's darker again! I think it's a bfp grin It's still very faint...

TwoCrazyKids Tue 27-Aug-13 11:40:07

Meant to say, it wasn't first morning urine, it was my second wee of the day blush

ELR Tue 27-Aug-13 13:36:44

Yippeeee!! Well done two its a def line now. Congrats!!

Whoop whoop!! Thats very exciting two! Congratulations. How are you feeling? Have you told your dh?

27mummmy2boys Tue 27-Aug-13 15:30:57

Would love another!

TwoCrazyKids Tue 27-Aug-13 15:43:41

I'm still feeling a bit skeptical. I'll wait to celebrate when I get a proper bfp. Boobs very tingly. I'm afraid it's just an evap. It's defo there and pink but still very faint...

basilafawlty Tue 27-Aug-13 18:47:03

Hi all

I'm 36. Have dd1 10 and dd2 8. First cycle of trying to conceive number 3 - AF due on Thursday but hoping it doesn't arrive (though, realistically, I know I'm unlikely to get THAT lucky! ;))

Congrats, Twocrazykids! Good luck everyone else!

Debsv Tue 27-Aug-13 18:57:12

We are trying for number 3 and have DD1 11 & DD2 8, it's our first cycle and AF due Thursday! Spooky how similar our situations are basilafawlty! I think people will think we are mad but have just decided its now or never and we love being parents! Fingers crossed this month is successful, I fell first time with my last two children.

ELR Tue 27-Aug-13 19:03:06

debs and basil both of you are almost exactly the same as me too, accept I have a dd and a ds. It's also first our month ttc and af due on thurs but started with some spotting today so looks like it isn't my month, my boobs are absolutely killing me though which is really unusual. I also fell both times in first month with last two!

TwoCrazyKids Tue 27-Aug-13 19:05:53

Thanks guys, I couldn't resist and just did another test but different brand this time and it's also a faint bfp...

Handsfullandlovingit Tue 27-Aug-13 19:48:54

Twocrazykids, yay! That's really cheering. ELR, I'm in the same boat, it's so hard not to get excited about minuscule symptoms, I'm being very cynical. We were burgled over the weekend, I have 3 different house guests this week and then a wedding on sat and ds's christening with 50 odd guests for lunch on Sunday. I don't have the headspace for symptom spotting right now! Best of luck to all fellow nutters.

ThreeGoMad Wed 28-Aug-13 00:17:14

Oh yay, Two that's sounding like a BFP to me grin

I just remembered I should have been taking folic acid for months and bought some blush Poor neglected third child sad

basilafawlty Wed 28-Aug-13 07:35:43

I'm spotting today too. Oh well.

I conceived dd2 in first month of trying, but dd1 took over two years and I was much younger then than I am now so I'm not feeling too optimistic. That said, if it doesn't happen, it doesn't. Because I'm lucky enough to be blessed with two wonderful daughters I won't be devastated if it doesn't happen this time. But I want to give these last few eggs of my Autumn years a chance! I know if I don't try, I'll always be wondering "What if..."

Madasabox Wed 28-Aug-13 08:03:01

Am I mad to be having a third? I have always wanted 3, but now I have a BFP (somewhat accidentally) I am beginning to wonder if I am off my head. I don't know anyone with 3. My first two are just about to turn 5 and just about to turn 2, so my gaps are quite nice.

basilafawlty Wed 28-Aug-13 08:26:24

congrats, madasabox! I don't think you're mad at all (despite your username!)

TwoCrazyKids Wed 28-Aug-13 08:46:49

Congrats madasabox!!! I'm going to go get a first response this morning. Have my first wee stores in Tupperware!

TwoCrazyKids Wed 28-Aug-13 12:30:40

Definitely bfp! 1-2 weeks on clear blue digital!! Can't believe it grin

ELR Wed 28-Aug-13 16:37:45

Ooh conrats!!! two now you can not help but believe it!

Madasabox Wed 28-Aug-13 17:49:06

Thanks everyone - congrats two. How does everyone's other halves feel about it all? Not sure my DH is too keen, he isn't saying much!

basilafawlty Wed 28-Aug-13 18:24:33

Aww, that's brilliant, two!

My hubby did a real volte face on it. A year or two ago he was adamant no more, no way, no chance. A couple of months ago he changed his mind and started reminiscing about how sexy I look when I'm pregnant (he's an absolute sweetheart is my dh). I think what really did it though was seeing dd1 turn 10. I think it brought it home to him that if we wanted children in the house we'd have to another because our two won't stay children for many more years.

basilafawlty Wed 28-Aug-13 18:25:50

*have to have another

TwoCrazyKids Wed 28-Aug-13 19:54:59

My other half Is delighted. It makes a change as our last two dc were unplanned!

I'm a bit nervous as had a miscarriage 2 years ago. It feels different this time though, no spotting and much stronger symptoms..

Debsv Wed 28-Aug-13 20:01:43

My other half was dead against having another but when our dd1 turned 11 he decided we should try for a third. He missed out a lot on first two as travelled a lot with work but now has an office job so would be more involved (or so he says! Lol) did a test today and bfn but think I ovulate late as fell once before on day 20 of cycle so maybe just need to wait and see!

ThreeGoMad Wed 28-Aug-13 23:49:00

Yay, two, told you a line is a line wink and congrats mad as well grin

Sorry to hear about the spotting basila, that sucks.

DH and I always planned three, then after DC2 was born he started saying we should just stick to two. I was a bit gutted but just bided my time because I thought it was probably sleep deprivation etc talking and I haven't even had to have The Talk or anything, we just seem to have gone back to the plan smile Fingers crossed my elderly ovaries are also on board!

Have had a rubbish day so going to indulge myself with a bit of symptom spotting: bit snotty, boobs feel a bit fuller maybe, leg is killing me (I have a bad hip and relaxin made it hellish in my first pregnancy - bit early for relaxin I suspect, but humour me wink). PG tests in the post!

2lilgirls Thu 29-Aug-13 11:37:33

Congratulations twoCrazyKids. Congrats to other bfp's if there are any, unfortunately my 2 yo will not allow me to read the thread as she is literally pulling my leg!!! The irony that I'm about to complain about wanting no3...

Basically, I sometimes have irregular cycles. Sometimes I'll ovulate on cd13 and sometimes it could be cd23. I did go to GP before and all was normal, she said sometimes it just happens and all is well. Anyway, this would be out 3rd month ttc no3 but first month using opk's and tracking ovulation etc. I ordered my opk's on cd10 stupidly thinking they'd arrive within a day or 2 - they didn't! I'm cd15 today (I think) and they arrived this morning. I tested and the opk's is negative. A strong enough second line did appear but not for 3 mins or so. I know that in the past a pos opk's would be positive within seconds. So now I don't know if I've already ovulated or not. My boobs were a bit sore a few days ago which can happen around ovulation and we did do the deed so ermine around then.
I don't think I'll keep testing anyway, I think I'll keep the opk's for next month if Af arrives.
I know I sound batty but I was adamant on tracking and timing this month, now I don't even know when stupid AF is due.

Sorry for long and selfish post :-( o

MrsWelly Thu 29-Aug-13 11:56:16

Can I join you? 28 with an 8 year old and a 19 month old, just started TTC number three. It's scary because it'll mean all sorts of moving about once the third one is born but very very exciting too! I have been looking at tiny baby pictures of my two and feeling very very broody.

I don't mind which colour it is, DH would like a girl, so would I I suppose but would be equally happy with a boy!

Not going to do any "TTC things" - charting, temping etc - yet, just shagging and seeing how I goes!

Good luck to everyone!

2lilgirls Thu 29-Aug-13 12:05:41

welcome MrsWelly - happy shagging grin

The first month or 2 is so exciting!

TwoCrazyKids Thu 29-Aug-13 12:47:27

Thanks guys. It's all still sinking in, one minute I'm excited, next I'm worrying how the hell I'll cope!

Who's next to test??!!

2lilgirls Thu 29-Aug-13 13:01:25

I think I'll be the same two...

I remember being sooo excited but so nervous and worried about coping when I got my bfp on no2 who was very much planned!
It might take a little while to get used to, it's normal to be a little apprehensive.

How long were you ttc? Any tips for us?

TwoCrazyKids Thu 29-Aug-13 13:45:55

I know it's very daunting! We were very lucky and got it first try. No tips at all, I just went for it when I thought I was ovulating!

2lilgirls Thu 29-Aug-13 14:07:49

That would be a bit of a shock alright!

Congrats, blow some baby dust my way please smile

TwoCrazyKids Thu 29-Aug-13 15:03:13

Thank you, baby dust all round!!

ThreeGoMad Thu 29-Aug-13 15:03:26

My pg tests have arrived so have just done a random test even though it's the middle of the afternoon pee and I think I'm only 8DPO (could be 11DPO if I oved on CD14 but if I did then I'm definitely not pg as we shagged late this month grin).

Having declared my allegiance to the line is a line club though, I'm now rescinding my membership grin There is the very merest hint of a whisper of a possibility of a line - one of those ones where you have to look so hard your eyes hurt and turn it backwards and forwards grin I think it might just be the dye catching where the line would appear if it was a BFP though. Still excited for the morning wink

(First couple of months are exciting, think this will get old very quickly!)

TwoCrazyKids Thu 29-Aug-13 16:28:25

Threegomad, fingers crossed its a line!!!!! Hold you pee for a few hours and try again smile

Debsv Fri 30-Aug-13 18:25:22

OMG just got a BFP! In total shock!
My husband is grinning from ear to ear and saying he has super sperm! Lol! First month off the pill, I cannot believe it! Off out tonight so looks like I will be drinking lemonade!

basilafawlty Fri 30-Aug-13 18:32:46

Wow, I can't believe how quickly and easily people on this thread seem to be getting BFPs!

Congratulations Debsv and hubby!! That's brilliant!

I have my fingers crossed for you, threegomad.

I'm out this month as AF is here, and probably out next month as dh is going to be away for a few days on what will be my most fertile days (still a faint chance of conceiving either side of when he goes away but not too likely). Have hopes pinned on October now...

ThreeGoMad Fri 30-Aug-13 20:29:58

Huge congrats Debsv, that's amazing news! Won't mention my cousin had twins when she got pg first month off the pill wink

Tested again this morning twice and there's a ghost of a shadow of a line if you're prepared to stand there for a bit turning it different ways ... In my heart I know it's a BFN really, this is just the ttc equivalent of buying a lottery ticket and not checking the result, so you can continue to dream ...

TwoCrazyKids Fri 30-Aug-13 20:53:16

Congrats debv!!!!

Gonemad, have you any update on line???

ThreeGoMad Sat 31-Aug-13 23:54:56

Tested again this morning and still got vvvvvvv faint glimmer that is only viewable if you put on special magic classes first. So therefore can't have seen a line two days ago as it would be a lot darker if my hcg levels had doubled twice since then!

Told myself I wouldn't test now for a couple of days but my resolve is already crumbling ...

How's everyone else getting on?

TwoCrazyKids Sun 01-Sep-13 09:41:24

threegomad can you get a different brand?? When is af due?

I am bored! I want to be trying already! I want no 3 to pop out nearer xmas 2014 though so have to be patient!

Excited for the success rate on this thread though!

ThreeGoMad Sun 01-Sep-13 10:52:41

I'm currently on CD29, which is slightly odd as my previous four cycles have been 27-28 days but I do think that I OVed slightly late this month so that would make sense. Fertility Friend reckons AF should arrive tomorrow. If nothing by Tues I'll buy some different tests. I have the ebay cheapies atm because I believe they're the most sensitive plus I can test like a lunatic without feeling too bad about it.

TwoCrazyKids Sun 01-Sep-13 12:50:21

three the internet cheapies are very sensitive but I've had a few evaps from them in the past. IMO, the first response are the best for giving an accurate result. Best of luck!!!!!!

ThreeGoMad Sun 01-Sep-13 13:04:51

Thanks - might get some in.

I do have an incredibly sore nipple blush - sure I'd remember if that was a normal symptom of AF!

TwoCrazyKids Sun 01-Sep-13 13:21:25

I had really sore nipples just before bfp! I'd get shooting pains randomly. Hope this is it for you!!!

MiniWilson3 Sun 01-Sep-13 15:11:38

We've gone mad too, have 2 dd, one 6.5, the other about to turn 8...
Now we're both feeling our biological clocks ticking (I turn 32 this year) and missing our babies being babies. We know we're insane but can't help it! !It's just like the desperation I felt when I HAD to get pregnant with no1! I hope I fall preg quickly (just came off my pill, both previous ones where shall-we-have-a-baby-whoops-I'm-pregnant ones, I was even still on the pill with no.2!).

ThreeGoMad Tue 03-Sep-13 08:53:01

Hello Wilson smile

CD31 here (prev 4 cycles were 27-28 days). No AF (yet - FF reckons today but usually arrives first thing). BFN according to Sainsbo test treated myself to and ebay cheapie just in case blush Fed up now!

2lilgirls Tue 03-Sep-13 11:44:26

Oh that must be torture ThreeGoMad - can you not get a first response or tesco test? They are apparently very good. I know 2 strong pink lines on FR last time when I had shadows on Internet cheapie strips.

Are you certain of when you ov'd?

Best of luck MiniWilson3, hope it happens as quickly again and what a lovely age gap you'll have, fingers crossed.

ThreeGoMad Tue 03-Sep-13 23:54:03

Not even certain that I did OV, will chart next month though DS still wakes me up a fair amount sad Got loads of EWCM on CD17, so assumed it was then - would make sense for AF therefore to be 3 days later than usual.

Got a Tesco test for the morning if still nothing. 99% sure it's a BFN but bit fed up of being in limbo and just want to crack on with the next cycle now.

2lilgirls Wed 04-Sep-13 09:56:19

I'm sort of the same. I think I'm around cd20 and not even sure if I ov'd this month, my opk's didn't arrive in time so I may have missed my positive and have decided not to waste them so keeping them for next month. Cycles can be long for me so it's hard to know sad

Hope you know one way or the other v soon smile

TwoCrazyKids Wed 04-Sep-13 11:30:07

Oh threegomad you must be going insane! I really hope your just testing too early. Xxx

ThreeGoMad Wed 04-Sep-13 13:37:03

Thanks two - AF arrived in the small hours last night so put me out of my misery and avoided wasting another test too smile At least I'm relieved to know what's going on, so that's taken the edge off the disappointment a bit.

Good luck 2lil

2lilgirls Wed 04-Sep-13 14:04:18

Sorry to hear AF arrived.

Positive vibes to you for this month.

I have to say I would love to conceive in September, October or November as I'd love a summer baby. blush

TwoCrazyKids Wed 04-Sep-13 16:27:39

three, so sorry to hear it arrived sad

Onwards and upwards, fingers crossed for next month smile

ELR Wed 04-Sep-13 19:41:37

three sorry af arrived.
On cd7 today so the shagging will soon commence!! Hoping for a BFP this month love the number 9! And if I did fall this month due date would be my mums birthday so that would be cool!
To be honest I don't care just want to be pregnant!!

basilafawlty Mon 09-Sep-13 20:48:53

Ah, sorry to hear that, three. Better luck this month! smile

I'm happy because got positive OPK a couple of hours before dh had to go away (till Friday) so had time to dtd before he went, and am crossing my fingers that might be enough! Guess I am in for the 2ww this month after all! ;D

ELR Tue 10-Sep-13 14:48:13

Ooh that was lucky basil fingers crossed.
I informed DH this morning that we had to dtd again tonight so not to be late he actually moaned and said there is only so much sex a man can take!!
Ha ha he better make the most of it as soon as I get my BFP sex will be off the menu!! At least for a while anyway.....

WifeofGru Tue 10-Sep-13 19:16:52

Can I join ladies? Very exciting to be going for a third. Have two DDs, aged 5 and just turned 2.
Bit nerve-racking as took a while to conceive DD2. DD1 unplanned. DD2 13 long months so I think I may be here a while grin.
Waiting for AF due within the week then will start trying.
Not gonna do any testing with OPK this time. Used CBFM last time and had very regular cycles. Get ovulation pain and EWCM so trying to be laid back about things and accept that I may be in for a long wait.
Good luck all!

Handsfullandlovingit Wed 11-Sep-13 19:19:00

Hi ladies. Bfp here. Ooh er. Hope it is a sticky one. Good luck to you all.

basilafawlty Wed 11-Sep-13 20:52:07

Yay, handsfull! Congratulations!

Wow, is this the most successful conception thread ever to grace mumsnet?? 'tis a lucky thread!

LOL at ELR. My dh is still in the all-too-glad-to-have-the-excuse phase, I think.

Welcome, wifeofgru, and good luck to you too! smile

ELR Wed 11-Sep-13 21:03:05

Well done hands the chilled out approach on holiday must of done the trick or was that last month?
basil let's hope its the most successful!! We didn't manage to dtd lastnight after all DH was truly tired! I was slightly annoyed but tried not to let him know, he's just declared he's up for it tonight though, but I've turned him down! It's too bloody late now!!
Welcome wifeofgru
Good luck all.

Handsfullandlovingit Wed 11-Sep-13 21:26:09

Thanks Basil and ELR, less laid back holiday, more rabbits do Brittany! I haven't dared come near the thread for a couple of weeks, delayed testing for ages as have lost a few v early days. So stayed in lala land for as long as possible, until it would have been impossible to write off as a late period. I am wishing you both much luck this month, get those men into line! And wifeofgru, welcome and good luck to you too.

WifeofGru Fri 13-Sep-13 13:56:32

Congratulations handsful. Wishing you a very healthy pregnancy. Here's to lots more on the thread.

ThreeGoMad Mon 16-Sep-13 16:21:22

Hello all!

Yaaaaayyy - huge congrats Handsfull, what lovely news. Hope all goes well for you.

Good luck for this month ELR - we're the same here, feast to famine wink

Welcome Wife! Similar here, we were lucky with DC1 but DC2 took 16 months so I'd reached the crying when other people announced their pregnancies stage/sobbing on the way home from parties etc - dreading that again sad Plus I now teach antenatal classes so can't exactly avoid pregnant women this time!

I'm very excited because I've just got a lovely positive OPK grin grin - was beginning to worry that I wasn't actually OVing at all because DC2 is still nursing quite a lot at night, so am delighted to have something to show that I am smile

ELR Mon 16-Sep-13 18:36:51

Woohoo three lots of happy shagging for you over the next few days! Think I'm about 5/6 dPO my nipples feel abit tingly and I've had belly ache all day.... Trying not to symptom spot after last month! Ad every symptom going and got bfn followed by af so goes to show its all in the head!!

Fingers crossed ELR!

Congratulations hands!

Dh and I in our waiting t ttc are becoming more sure and have more concrete plans now so that's exciting. Roll on 2014 now!

WifeofGru Tue 17-Sep-13 00:43:41

Hello all,

Almost excited or AF to arrive cos then we can begin TTC!!
Agree three with being anxious about going ack to all those horrible emotions when it takes a while to get PG. Am just going to focus on enjoying my 2 wonderful DDs, wine, pâté, soft cheese, non PG wardrobe and not be so obsessed this time around.
Should have AF in next day or two so will be DTD soon!
Hope all surviving 2 week wait, DTD etc.

charleslingus Tue 17-Sep-13 09:41:29

Congrats handsful, hope you are feeling ok? Wishing you a healthy pregnancy! Hi everyone else and welcome anyone joining us. Haven't been on in ages!

I'm on month 4 now, which feels like added pressure as dc 1 took no time at all and #2 took 4 months, so I'm scared I will expect it as a given that it will happen this month, which obviously will build up to major disappointment if I'm not.

Need to remember I'm 10 yrs older now though and to chill out as it might be a long haul this time.

Anyway, not thinking about it too much atm, just in the early bit of smep armed with opks and last month's knowledge that I can ov earlier than I thought. Only did it once before ov last month (lots on ov and day after, but now know that before is way more important)

Going to just give it our all and hope!

RoseHoney Tue 17-Sep-13 10:35:06

Can I join the madness?

I'm 21 and have 2 boys, an almost 4 year old and a 21 month old! We've been ttc for 2 months, testing day is today! Keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm glad I'm not the only lunatic trying for a 3rd grin

WifeofGru Tue 17-Sep-13 14:23:13

Good luck with the testing rose. And welcome.

RoseHoney Wed 18-Sep-13 15:31:14

Thankyou Gru, haven't tested yet but think its not my month anyway hmm

ThreeGoMad Thu 19-Sep-13 23:43:31

Hello and good luck Rose smile

Am on 2WW. Hate 2WW <twiddles thumbs>

basilafawlty Fri 20-Sep-13 08:27:45

Hi all

I'm on 2ww too and feel so nauseous it's almost unbearable, so have got my hopes up a bit. I even confess to testing insanely early - it was, unsurprisingly, negative. Not due till Wednesday.

I know some (most?) people think it's mad to test before you're supposed to, but I find it actually lessens disappoint by letting me down gradually if I start testing about 6 days before AF is due - I can then start "Well it would be negative this early", and move through "It would probably be negative this early", "It might not show positive yet", "Okay, it prob would show positive by now but there's still a chance", to "Nope, not pregnant" as the days roll on. As internet cheapie tests are only about 10p per test, it feels worth it to me - I by far prefer that kind of gradual let down to a build up to testing day and then the anticlimax of a definite negative.

ELR Fri 20-Sep-13 12:04:42

basil I could have written your post! I tested this morning but got bfn not due on till wed/thurs so there is hope for both of us yet!! I totally get you about the gradual disappointment, it softens the blow somewhat. Also we are all so lucky to already have 2 children each that kind of softens the blow too!
Good luck everyone still on the 2ww!

sheldor Fri 20-Sep-13 19:12:13

I'm trying for number 3 and i'm on month 5.DTD 10days ago on last day of normal af,yesterday i had stabby ovary pain, spotted a few ours later and still having a little bleed.I concieved my 2nd lo on last day of AF so hoping my second bleed is a good sign.Won't get my hopes up though. It took 11months to concieve my 1st lo andlonger with my second

basilafawlty Fri 20-Sep-13 20:35:07

Good luck, ELR and sheldor!

Yeah, believe me, I know how lucky I am to have my two girls. I will never forget the years of trying for dd1 and the terror that it would never happen - horrible! This time there could be disappointment and anticlimax but it will never even begin to the soul shattering experience of trying for my first. I'd never wish that on anyone! This is okay because while a third would be such a wanted blessing, I already had my prayers answered with my two dds and so I'll still feel lucky and blessed even if it doesn't work this time. smile

sheldor Sat 21-Sep-13 10:52:20

Well i thought my second bleed might be a good sign.Think it's too much to be ovulation bleeding or implantation bleeding.Strange none the less.

basilafawlty Sat 21-Sep-13 11:50:09

I think it sounds like a good sign, sheldor. Only time will tell though - 2ww is horrible!

sheldor Sat 21-Sep-13 12:00:29

It is isn't it?It's only the fact that i concieved dd on last day of Af that i thought it fits in with inplantation bleeding timing, but it's a flow but light. It's strange because i had uncomfy stabby pain hours before i bled.I always have period pain and it higher up.

WifeofGru Sun 22-Sep-13 01:33:07

Hello all, well cd5 here so about to start TTC. It's my birthday today so would be lovely to get pregnant with another LO this year.
Am overseas by the way hence the post late at night. It's evening time here on Saturday.
I know what you all mean about the pressure being off a bit for a third cos they really would be a blessing if it happens.
off to watch Breaking Bad Series 2 on Netflix.

basilafawlty Wed 25-Sep-13 15:58:22

Hi all. Belated happy birthday, wifeofgru - I hope you had a lovely day.

How's everyone doing? I'm due on today, though no sign of AF yet. Testing negative though so imagine it's on its way. I hadn't felt usual PMS symptoms this month so had got my hopes up, but last day or two I've felt very pre-menstrual. And am fairly sure pregnancy would have shown on tests by now. So, all in all, I'm pretty sure I'm out this month. Everyone else?

sparklesandfizz Wed 25-Sep-13 20:15:32

Hi there also starting to try for a third. 1st month of trying and already have dd6 and ds 4 all at school now so time definitely right. Fingers crossed it happens as quickly this time round. Can't wait but enjoying trying at the mo!

HisLommel Wed 25-Sep-13 20:19:47

Hi I'm another ttc#3! I'm 27 and have two sons from a previous marriage - 9 and 7 in 3 weeks. OH also has two sons from a previous marriage so this will be our fifth! Had my Mirena out on Monday and bled a bit today. Not sure if that's CD1 - I thought it was but it's stopped again. Testing with OPK every day to try and catch ov :-)

ThreeGoMad Wed 25-Sep-13 23:28:09

Hello to the fellow crazies newcomers wink

Good luck Basil and ELR! Totally agree about the gradual let down of early testing.

I'm 8DPO and absolutely zero symptoms, though do have a little pre-menstrual nest of spots on my nose so not hopeful for this month. Planning to try to wait until Friday to test (10 DPO) but suspect I might cave and do it tomorrow instead ... blush

ELR Fri 27-Sep-13 20:21:08

Hi everyone, well I'm out this month! Got af yesterday so will try again next month, and hope for third tine lucky.

Welcome to all newcomers.
three how did you get on?

basilafawlty Fri 27-Sep-13 21:32:18

Me too, ELR! I came on yesterday as well. I hope for better luck next month for us both!

Welcome, sparkles and hislommel.

ThreeGoMad Sat 28-Sep-13 00:57:32

BFN this morning but only 10DPO. Run out of cheap eBay tests! Still symptomless.

Sorry about dual arrival of AF sad

ThreeGoMad Sat 28-Sep-13 22:53:20

BFN at 11DPO. Am (sorry) constipated though, which is unusual for me. Though have been eating a LOT of crap in the run up to DD's birthday and party!

It was her birthday yesterday and we all went to the beach. It was a gorgeous day and it was all so perfect. I know that even if #3 doesn't happen I'm pretty happy with my lot smile

OrangeFizz99 Mon 30-Sep-13 14:11:29

2 dc, one 3.5 and one 19 months...

Its a bit crazy but we want no3...

cd 12 here, dh away, back on cd14 so he better come back ready to perform smile

Fingers crossed constipation is pg related and not party food related three!

ThreeGoMad Mon 30-Sep-13 20:58:33

Thanks Orange Felt sick as a dog all day sad but still getting BFNs so assuming I've picked up a bug from somewhere rather than morning sickness. AF due tomorrow ...

Hope Mr Orange is up for action wink

ThreeGoMad Tue 01-Oct-13 23:00:04

AF. You can't fault my cycle!

WifeofGru Wed 02-Oct-13 00:53:34

Hello,
Welcome newcomers.
Sorry those with AF.
Into the two week wait now. Feeling very relaxed. life is good at the moment and so just happy to wait our turn for a BFP. I had awful nausea with first 2 DC so not looking forward to that!

sparklesandfizz Wed 02-Oct-13 09:55:18

Snap gru, if I really think back to the vomiting and how awful I felt with both of them I wonder why we are going for it again. Far enough removed to not really remember and for the rose tinted retro spectacles to have worked their magic I guess. Life also good for us, plenty to look forward to with or without baby on board so if its not our month we'll try again next. Other children at school, have day off work and really enjoying a bit of r&r.

Nicenicebaby Wed 02-Oct-13 20:44:02

Hi everyone, trying for number 3 - decided in a moment of madness to go for it & you lovely people are making me think it's not such a crazy idea after all... I have 2 DD, 5 & 17 months. Would be utterly delighted to have no. 3 v soon. Any more news from anyone?

basilafawlty Thu 03-Oct-13 09:17:20

Sorry AF got you, three. Welcome to those joining us.

I feel really touched reading how happy everyone is with or without baby. I feel the same. We are very lucky and blessed. I think it's because life is so good that I want another - I sort of feel that life is such a wonderful thing that I want to pass it on, iyswim? I feel so very sorry for people who are waiting for their first BFP and very aware of how lucky we on this thread are to already have two dc.

tiffs Thu 03-Oct-13 12:27:57

Hi all

Can I join to please? DH and I are going to start trying for number 3 next year but it so nice to see that im not the only one out there thinking about it.
Ive got a dd aged 5 (6 in November) and a ds aged 2 (3 in december). The dh has always said that he only wants 2 but i have always said that I would love another one. A few weeks ago dh changed his mind but we both agreed we need to wait until next year as im not in the best physical shape (not lost preg weight from ds yet) and also gives us time to upgrade the car and make space.
Hope you dont mind me tagging along.
Wishing you all lots of luck smile

sparklesandfizz Thu 03-Oct-13 12:48:26

Tiffs hi there, I'm also currently trying to get rid of all those excess pounds (stones who am I trying to kid!) that have crept up over the years. Started dieting just over a month ago and have lost 1 st 4 lb. We are in the 1st month of ttc and tbh if this month isn't our time then that's fine and hopefully I'll have lost another stone this time next mth, it's really helping me to stay positive and feel like I'm doing something good for the beautiful family I have and the new addition who will hopefully be joining us soon. Took kids swimming and bike riding last weekend and had a blast. Am d9po and trying not to get too excited, no symptoms at all as yet. Therefore let the wt loss continue...

SarahBumBarer Fri 04-Oct-13 13:49:18

Hi everyone. Not been around for ages as I had an age to wait for my coil to be removed. Finally got the damn thing out so ready to begin. Missed any chance for October though although stupidly I know I will be a bit glum when AF arrives next week. Love the idea of trying a bit of weight loss while waiting sparkles although I expect morning sickness will help with that again as it did previously!

Have a good weekend everyone.

ELR Fri 04-Oct-13 17:09:05

Hi everyone, welcome to the newcomers! Just read everyone comments about being lucky to already have kids ect and it is so true another baby would be great but if it doesn't happen life is still great with the two I've got!
Cd 9 today, so almost time for dtd like crazy! But before that a little bit of me time, tomorrow I'm off on an overnight spa to Brighton with the girls so will come back all relaxed and will have missed DH so will be more than happy to dtd! He's working from home on Monday too which will hopefully be close to ovulation.
How's everyone else doing?
sparkles total get where you are coming from with the forgetting how sick you were. I was terrible with both of mine, I think I'm just pretending it wasn't that bad!!

OrangeFizz99 Sat 05-Oct-13 15:18:48

We missed this month too - dh did not come back ready to dtd like crazy on cd14 but with a tummy bug instead!

Onto next month! I also agree that ttc3 is a much more relaxing experience than the other two - esp ttc2 where I may have gone a little crazy.

Good luck to everyone approaching ov time.

Nicenicebaby Sun 06-Oct-13 21:21:07

Evening, loved the comments about being lucky with our lot. I feel like that often & I'm so grateful to have my 2 already. Ventured onto one of the other threads re conceiving & I realise how hard it can be to get that BFP.
Having said that I'm feeling really pregnant - I think you know that queasy feeling when it's happening for the 3rd time... AF due this week so I will either be eating my words or feeling queasy for a long time!!

ELR Mon 07-Oct-13 07:58:09

Fingers crossed nice

Nicenicebaby Mon 07-Oct-13 19:43:38

Thanks ELR! Caved in a bought a 1st response on the way home from work. Totally over the moon - I got my BFP!!!!
Didn't give us a chance to change our mind - that moment of madness is now more than just a moment. Argghhhh! So excited. Haven't told DH yet as he is overseas... We only DTD once while he was home & he's never going to believe this...

ELR Tue 08-Oct-13 09:26:58

Woo hoo that's great! Congratulations.
It does only take once! Lol
Finding hard to manage to do it at the right time.
1st cycle DH got stage fright and then we had a delayed flight so spent 36 hours travelling and missed ovulation!
2nd cycle DH was working away and then was super tired so only managed it twice but was a few days before my fertile window.
And now this month I've been away for the weekend came back yesterday cd13 and DH has a terrible cold!! He is working away tomorrow but due to his cold he is working from home today cd14 so I am going to try and seduce him! Will load him up on tablets in a minute and hope it will make him feel better.
I am a bit annoyed especially as DH is so chilled about it saying its fine we have loads of time, there's no rush!!!

OrangeFizz99 Tue 08-Oct-13 15:49:07

ELR - I was quite grumpy with my DH when he refused to dtd on day 14 cos he was ill - rubbish!

BUT massive congrats nice!!! That's great news! How are you going to tell him? Phone or email/message?

Cakecrumbsinmybra Tue 08-Oct-13 19:05:09

I have 2 DS, youngest is almost 3. We stopped using contraception back in May, and since August have tried to do it on the right days.... but no bfp as yet! Sods law, since we decided we were going to try, my periods have been a bit irregular, and I've had two 34 day cycles, including last month - both times I have wondered if I am pg, only to get AF eventually. This month I have started using some ovulation sticks - this morning I tested positive, so here goes again.

However, I am 38! The irregular periods could mean I'm peri-menopausal! There may be no baby no.3 for me sad

Good luck to everyone else!

Nicenicebaby Tue 08-Oct-13 20:04:35

Thanks ELR & Orange!
You 2 are my first congrats - does make it feel a bit more real. DH is home next week & telling him in person would be so much better. Just means keeping a very big secret & it's going to be hard!! He guessed with the 1st DD, and the 2nd I told him over the phone (he travels a lot)...
Good luck with the next cycle. Just take my example of proof that it can happen without trying very hard (which of course gives me a grin wider than the Cheshire cat's).

ELR Sun 13-Oct-13 20:14:08

Hi everyone, just checking in. How's everyone doing? I'm into the 2ww now 4dpo. I am feeling more relaxed this time and not bothering to read all the conception threads which is helping me to not symptom spot.

WifeofGru Mon 14-Oct-13 01:07:12

Congrats nice. Fantastic news. Still in 2ww here. Due AF Tuesday but not doing any early testing at all. Just keep trying to say to myself that it doesn't influence the outcome at all and if it happens, it happens, but gosh it is tempting!
international hope you are enjoying a rest after DTD!

OrangeFizz99 Mon 14-Oct-13 15:55:23

Im feeling impatient for AF to arrive on Thurs and then getting on with actually trying (rather than just saying we're trying) in November.

How are things nice?Does DH know now? Any sickness yet?!

WifeofGru Tue 15-Oct-13 04:56:23

international who the heck's that?!? Whoops. Meant to say ELR.

NutcrackerFairy Tue 15-Oct-13 06:18:41

Hi can I join?

Wanting to conceive no 3, DH somewhat reluctant [happy with the two lively boys we have already!] but not saying no...

We did get pregnant accidently around June but unfortunately when I went for my 12 week scan there wasn't a heartbeat sad Had ERPC September 20th and still waiting for first 'proper' AF [I had a bleed a couple of weeks ago but not sure if that was AF or just further bleeding post ERPC].

I would dearly love a third but have just turned 40... was ecstatic when I got pregnant at 39 as I felt as if I just squeaked in prior to my predetermined conception cut off age of 40... Never thought I would still be trying to conceive at this ripe old age but there you go!

However I am very happy with the two lovely DC I have and so if the third isn't meant to be I am sort of okay with that... but would still like to try and see what happens [hopefully no more mc though or worse...]

OrangeFizz99 Tue 15-Oct-13 14:53:40

Hey fairy! Welcome. Sorry to hear about your mc and the fact you're worried about your age. Fingers crossed you get a sticky one ASAP. My dh was always very reluctant about number 3 too but I think he's getting much more on message now!

WifeofGru Wed 16-Oct-13 00:37:46

Welcome nutcrackerfairy. So sorry for losing your little one. One of DD1s friends mums got pregnant unintentionally and miscarried. Like you it sowed the seed that they wanted a DC 3. And sure enough they have 3 beautiful DDs now. She was 40 too.
Well news here is that we are pregnant. Can't quite believe it. Took 13 months to conceive DD2 nearly 3 years ago, so I think I am still shocked it happened on month 1. Have half bottle of white wine left in fridge and slab of Brie... typical.
hoping this turns into a really lucky thread for all of us.

OrangeFizz99 Wed 16-Oct-13 11:05:12

Wow! Congrats Gru. Awesome news! How exciting.

So you have 2 dds? How old are they?

I will relieve you of the wine and brie don't you worry.

WifeofGru Wed 16-Oct-13 13:31:39

Thanks orangefizz.
DD1 will be 6 at end of November and DD2 just turned 2. Panicking about how I'll cope but age-wise I think it will be fine. Think I just have the early pregnancy jitters.

Handsfullandlovingit Wed 16-Oct-13 16:12:39

I'm back, not that you aren't lovely but I thought that this baby was going to stay. Scan at 11 weeks confirmed the little thing died at 9 weeks. All done now, have to wait for the bleeding to subside, have a normal period and, um, set to! It will take courage I don't yet have.

Handsfullandlovingit Wed 16-Oct-13 16:14:32

I'm so sorry you have been through the same nutcracker. And gru, yay! Take it easy.

ELR Wed 16-Oct-13 16:35:57

handsful so sorry to hear that. I hope you are taking care of yourself, don't rush there is plenty of time. Grieving is a process and courage will come somewhere down the line.

wifegru congrats bet you are in shock!

ELR Wed 16-Oct-13 16:36:57

nutcracker sorry for your loss too.

BunnyBaby Wed 16-Oct-13 17:59:04

Hi Ladies, haven't been here since 29th Aug. Still want #3, but #1 and #2 keep us quite busy, but not as busy in the bedroom.

Nutcracker and Handsfull, I am so sorry for your losses, exactly the same thing happened to me with a little one that would have been between my two sons. I found out that they had gone at the 12 week scan and they think he/she was 10 weeks and 2 days old, it was a missed miscarriage but I had an instinct all wasn't right as the symtoms of pregnancy disappeared all at once a week before the scan. Be kind to yourselves, it took me by surprise how devastating that loss is and I still grieve for that little one now, and wonder what they're doing, watching over us.

On the period thing, my hormones were really messy afterwards and it took 3 months for my cycle to normalise, I had breakthrough bleeding, and the cervix must be a bit open afterwards as there was a spot of blood each time I ovulated, but the womb lining wasn't up to the job. It's worth diarising the dates so you can get a handle on the cycle as it normalises. The good news is that following the first normal period, I was pregnant, and that resulted in #2 who was a healthy, bouncing 2 week overdue 10lb'er, so the waiting is horrible as you've just suffered the worst loss, but I can tell you that it will settle down, and you're normal cycle will push through.

I am so sorry for your losses, and all I can imagine is both those perfect souls were too good for this world. That was what I thought of my little one.

We've only DTD once this month on CD10 but my cycles are 25-6 days long and both DS1 & DS2 were conceived early on. I've still got 9 days to AF, but raised an eyebrow when having my waxing as it only hurt on the right side. And I've been getting some period pains on that side too. Though it could be just my imagination that is fertile.

Congrats to Gru too, and let others take the Brie smile

OrangeFizz99 Thu 17-Oct-13 13:13:15

Oh, hands, I'm so sorry to hear that. Look after yourself.

Good luck for this month bunny!

AF arrived last night. Have just worked out that CD14 (ov normally 14/15) is my birthday! That would be a nice present smile

NutcrackerFairy Thu 17-Oct-13 15:32:06

Thanks everyone for being so welcoming, I am so glad to have found you all!

Firstly, Gru congratulations and I hope all goes well with your pregnancy!

hands I am so sorry to hear your news. I hope you are okay flowers
It's just really shit, I know.

And thanks for the words of wisdom re cycles bunny... basically I had bleeding for about 3 days after ERPC and then it stopped entirely. Then roughly a week later after bleeding had stopped I felt crampy and moody like AF was on it's way and I had what seemed like a normal AF bleed... so we DTD about a couple of times around 10 to 14 days later... I know you're perhaps not meant to try to conceive again until you've had your first 'proper' AF but we thought we'd try anyway!

I really really really want my third baby and I hope everyone on this thread is able to have theirs too.

BunnyBaby Sun 20-Oct-13 20:31:34

Orange sounds like a good birthday present!

Nutcracker I agree to go for it, your body will do it whenever it's ready, and that could be this month!

As for me, my boobs are very tender and I still have a few days to go until AF due. So we'll wait and see :-)

ELR Fri 25-Oct-13 22:45:21

Hi all, well I'm out for another month just hot my period! Was a day late this month with quite a few symptoms so was getting hopeful. Oh well looks like another month I can drink!!

Handsfullandlovingit Sun 27-Oct-13 16:07:08

Bad luck ELR, may next month be your month. Until then, you deserve a very nice drink.

OrangeFizz99 Sun 27-Oct-13 17:01:58

And lots of Brie and sushi. Got to get it in before the bfp!

On cd12 now, Dtd yesterday and also plan to on cd14 - my birthday! We seem to spend a lot of time talking about having three kids now, which is nice. Just got to make one now...

Sparky321 Sun 27-Oct-13 17:51:19

Hi all, We have two amazing boys 8 and 9 and now trying for number 3. I find it so strange that trying for a baby is soo stressful I think the fact that I'm 10 years older is adding to the stress. Good luck everybody and congratulations to all those who got their bfp.

OrangeFizz99 Wed 30-Oct-13 10:59:02

Hey sparky! Welcome and good luck!

I am now in the 2ww. Feels a bit weird..!

Sparky321 Wed 30-Oct-13 12:32:59

I'm in the 2ww also due to test 10th nov although I'm sure to try a sneaky ic before then. Impatience is my middle name, and if not successful this month I will be impatient to get af out of the way so we can try again!

BunnyBaby Mon 04-Nov-13 11:03:33

Hi everyone, last month wasn't meant to be, and I think we need to be a bit more serious about getting it on more than one or twice.

CD12 here of a 25 day cycle..

Sparky, 2 boys here too, 5 & 2, and I keep thinking about the sleepless nights versus my two little sound sleepers at the moment.

DH very broody too, so very supportive.

Good luck everyone, and congrats the recent BFPs. :-)

OrangeFizz99 Tue 05-Nov-13 16:02:05

I had totally forgotten that the 2ww lasts approximately 6 months! Urgh! 6 dpo and trying not to symptom spot.

I have two dds both under 4 and quite a big job. Wanting a third child is utterly illogical but I think if I don't do it I'll regret it hugely in the future...

ELR Tue 05-Nov-13 16:23:59

Hi all, is anyone else finding it difficult to find the time to dtd?
It's a nightmare, as my kids are older they aren't in bed till 9ish and then often not asleep until 9.30pm. Managed to do it on cd10 and then last night cd11 but then hubby could not finish the job as it was nearly midnight and he was shattered! Don't think we will get a chance now again until Sunday as we have the inlaws arriving tonight for dd birthday tomorrow.
Really strange too but usually my boobs are really tender on about cd14/15 which coupled with eWcm indicates I've ovulated. But this month boobs were super tender yesterday morning cd 11 do you think I could of ovulated early?

OrangeFizz99 Mon 11-Nov-13 20:59:34

I get ovulation pains so although I use opks (I like to poas!)I generally know. We travel a bit for work and it seems to coincide a lot with ov so Dtd not easy here either!

Af due tomorrow. Will poas with fmu!

How were inlaws ELR?

OrangeFizz99 Tue 12-Nov-13 12:39:45

BFN this am - boo! I now want af to arrive very quickly and go away again very quickly so we can try again!

ELR Tue 12-Nov-13 16:38:57

Hi orange sorry it's a bfn but hoping it's too early to test! The inlaws were fine they didn't arrive till lunchtime and DH was working from home so managed to dtd in the morning on cd12 had ewcm on cd13/14 so think I ovulated then. Hoping dtd on cd12 will have been enough! Have been ill wih vertigo and feeling sick since Thursday so that's making the 2ww speed up a bit as no time for symptom spotting.

oo sounds good elr! Af heeded my plea and arrived this pm.

Out for the night on Friday so at least I can get tiddly now.

On with cycle 2 of ttc no 3 then. Dh has a work trip planned for cd 12-14.. Am working on getting him to rearrange it already smile

iv been trying for baby no 3 since end of august. im now 6 weeks pregnant! grin wasnt expecting it to happen so soon.

BunnyBaby Tue 19-Nov-13 12:53:47

Well, I got AF yesterday, so off we go again, but I think this month we're going to make a concerted effort as we've only SWI'd at the most twice a month since August, and both DS1 and DS2 were the results of more concerted efforts ;-) Mr Bunny will be pleased!

Sparky - Any news yet?
Orange - Sorry to hear BFN
ELR - Fingers crossed for 2WW
Dines - Congrats

Here's to some lovely early Christmas presents!

I've worked out that I should be able to test just before Mr Bunny's works party, and a week before my Team and Departmental do's, so won't have to worry about getting tiddly and unknowingly PG.

Hi!
Can I join? We've just started TTC 3 . Am 38 y (DH 34) and have a DS nearly 9 y and DD 19m . Long story short had DS quickly with no problems but DD took 5y and was in the end born via gestational surrogate from our egg and sperm after I had 10 early mc and developed a chronic illness. Now after 5y break from trying naturally just feel like I'm not done and actually have just managed to convince dh ( I'm surprised smile ) and want to see if things are still the same (conceived easily but always mc) before moving on to other methods like ivf on myself which i never tried and possibly more surrogacy. I must be mad putting myself through this again but just don't feel we're done and don't want regrets later . Also now that i know it's possible at least via surrogacy feel more positive. It'll be a long road for us if it ever works out . God i feel so tired now , i don't know how i'd manage if it by miracle worked soon since dd would only be 2+ and she's a handful , ds is a picnic compared to her;0.
Anyway here we go again lovely 2ww! i feel like I've done this a thousand times . Best of luck to all and congrats to the ones now happily expecting smile!!!

Hi Nordicmom, it's all gone a bit quiet on here recently. Welcome!

I had a MMC between my two which they think happened at 10+2 so understand the heartache, but haven't been through that the number of times you have. It sounds like you've been through a huge amount, and I understand the 'just one more / not finished yet feeling'

We've been trying half heartedly since August (only getting into gear once a month).

I'm in the 2WW just and we've managed at days 8, 10 and 12, my cycle is only 26 days so we'll see where we get this month.

I'm 37 and DH is 39. Our two DSs are almost 6 and almost 3.

Hopefully a few more will drop back in :-) or give us some pg updates.
