Whether icing, twotting, or in need of a dip in the pity paddling pool, come stroke the friendly orange cave unicorn with us. (Chocolate pretzels are on the house). It's JUST SHAGGING THREAD 17!

(1000 Posts)
EssieSaysRelax Fri 26-Jul-13 22:14:39

Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

The link to Part 16 is here

The link to the latest grads thread is here

Happy shagging shaggers!

EssieSaysRelax Fri 26-Jul-13 22:33:59

There's a lot of twotters here at the moment, me being one of them, though judging by my slamming headache ertd is on her merry way. Cake for you all. X

Oh and congrats choc!

I should be downing vitamins, lying sedately and listening to whale music to try and boost my chances.... But as I'm on a hen tomorrow I'm having a beer and watching Corrie smile

Geh, not sure what else I want to say...

Aaarrrgh again.

EssieSaysRelax Fri 26-Jul-13 22:45:02

Also should have put it in first post, some of the new lingo:

Asking Dr Goofle - another autocorrect, means, to google your ailment/symptom for a definitive answer.

Twot - two week of torture / two week wait.

Icing - ovulating, another one courtesy of autocorrect I think?

Literal phase - luteal phase (soon auto correct is going to mean we have our own secret language!)

EssieSaysRelax Fri 26-Jul-13 22:45:47

Oh no Fifi! What did you do/say!? You can hide here!

fifi669 Fri 26-Jul-13 22:52:17

I haven't a clue really! It has only come up recently.... the only Fred where there has been a bit of a ding dong is the one with international, the I know i'm in for a flaming one. Though the person above hasn't commented in the last few pages when I had a quick look through.

The long and short of it is, after a rubbish sexual encounter, half are calling the man a rapist and the other half (including the OP) are saying it wasn't..... it has got pretty heated. Though as I said I haven't seen this person pop up

EssieSaysRelax Fri 26-Jul-13 22:55:45

Oh yes, I did see that Fred but decided to tip toe back out before I put my welly in it. Oh dear. Sorry you've been blocked though. There's another certificate for the new Fred wall though!

Congratulations choc, fantastic news!

I POAS yesterday, don't even know why it's not quite the right time, I don't think. BFN, of course, but my timing sucks. {waits for ERTD}

fifi669 Fri 26-Jul-13 23:29:56

Speaking to DP, we have wondered whether she's just a troll or some kind of social experiment, seeing how people react to controversial topics? Due to her last two bombshells....

A lot of people were commenting, but I haven't seen the message lady in any recent posts ( last 4 pages or so) and the inbox was today.

Maybe she was just a lurker that cocked up and sent the message to me, doh! Oh well, onwards and upwards....

Bearfacedchic Fri 26-Jul-13 23:32:03

Hope you feel vetted doom Coffee.

Fifi- I never knew you could block someone from a Fred! Cripes I wonder what went on <wanders off to have a look>

Bearfacedchic Fri 26-Jul-13 23:33:14

Oh bloody hell- vetted doom=better soon sorry coffee blush

fifi669 Fri 26-Jul-13 23:35:36

bear i'm not blocked from the Fred, just seeing her I think?

Currently opening beer 3 and eating peanut cookie 8..... you've got to while you can eh?

Bearfacedchic Fri 26-Jul-13 23:37:57

I wouldn't worry Fifi- I thought 'she' was a troll in whatever form straight away namely because she didn't sound so dumb, but held and maintained views that are difficult to support unless you only resort to the feminist card which lots of people did to support her plus she hijacked the original thread and now two bombshells? A bit far-fetched for cynical old me. But of course I could be wrong.

Bearfacedchic Fri 26-Jul-13 23:42:18

Oh sorry Fifi- I misunderstood. My mistake. Ah well- no loss really for you! I'm sure you won't miss being talked about like that. I'd drink the beer, eat the cookies and chuckle to your good self.

Nice pink scooter aloho <admires shiny scooter>

Hello viroids! :-)
I've been a bit behind lately, so apologies if I missed big happenings in the last Fred! I did catch Choc's BFP though - yay for you!! :-D
Are we going for another BFP fred record this time round?!

ZingWidge Sat 27-Jul-13 00:08:49

TTC : nope. I'm secondary mascot after unicorn, carrying pompoms and offering support and sprinkling baby dust

Good title, shiny new thread - good luck viroids!

Bearfacedchic Sat 27-Jul-13 00:14:02

True Fi- I'm just reading the thread now. It's all very odd to me. . . Next appointment will now be in November, but hot several tests and a HSG before then. Joy.

DH and i have been TTC no. 1 since December 2012, but starting to find it difficult to steer clear of contraband, as it doesn't seem to be happening sad So thought I'd join in and see if any of the luck from the last JS thread rubs off!?

ZingWidge Sat 27-Jul-13 00:53:50

fifi I read that one as well. it was a spin off from writer's legs in the air.
I hid it ages ago.

just be greatful you didn't read the mucus thread.
it was disturbing. several of us asked for that thread to be deleted and MNHQ agreed.

some people are total weirdos.

I was being attacked quite badly on a thread about loss, so I left.

Redshoes56 Sat 27-Jul-13 02:46:47

I fixed up some turkey burgers and baked onion rings. And beer, since I'm barren and all. Night ladies, enjoy the weekend!

DulcetMoans Sat 27-Jul-13 08:24:14

Who's going to start us off with a BFP then? I get excited every morning in case there's one waiting for me!

Left washing out and it rained - how's that for Sod's law!!

cookielove Sat 27-Jul-13 08:42:56

Hello all smile

Congratulations on your BFP choc

I cracked I told my mum and sister and brother and I'm telling my dad later today blush

fifi669 Sat 27-Jul-13 09:09:50

zing a thread about mucus you all agreed should be deleted???? I'm intrigued!

Bearfacedchic Sat 27-Jul-13 09:24:22

Sod is really getting around with his saw Dulcet. Hope he swings by my way!

I've got sunburnt shoulders from yesterday. It wasn't even bloody sunny and I'm really careful. Ouchy!

Rockchick1984 Sat 27-Jul-13 10:10:03

Congratulations Choc!!!!! I'm still loitering around here, too scared to fully graduate blush

DulcetMoans Sat 27-Jul-13 10:46:26

Oh bear, le sod only seems to work in non-TTC areas of my life so far. Tested this morning and still BFN so think I am probably just awaiting AF now. Was last chance to get preggers before wedding too. Stupid womb!

EssieSaysRelax Sat 27-Jul-13 11:04:46

Morning viroids!

Still no ertd here, v annoying. Can't even be arsed to piar anymore cos I know I'm barren. Still, went horse riding this morning and galloped about like a teenager without having to worry about falling off.

Sil is coming to stay tonight so looking forward to that as we get on really well.

cookie I'd have cracked and told a few close people too.

red I've never had turkey burgers! Sounds good!

No other news. It's going to rain later, that'll feel weird!

Bon weekend lovely shaggers.

DulcetMoans Sat 27-Jul-13 14:11:00

With gorgeous nephew, two and a half. He is such a good reason to want a baby. He's so great!

Redshoes56 Sat 27-Jul-13 14:39:39

Hooray for nephew fun, dulcet. We have friends coming over tonight with their two relatively well-behaved, very sweet kids, so I am looking forward to that.

This is the worst TWOT ever since I am flummoxed by my cycle and have no idea when ERTD is due. Maybe three days? DH was grabbing my boobs this morning and poking my stomach and essentially doing all the symptom spotting for me. (I feel normal, he's the one who's not normal!)

I got a confirmation letter from the reproductive medicine place, with very thorough instructions on how to get my forms in order, etc. The last paragraph is about their policy on children in the waiting room -- namely, kids are not allowed because "we are sensitive to the many emotions of infertility." I have to say, that makes a lot of sense. So far I am liking their attention to those kinds of details.

frogchops Sat 27-Jul-13 15:31:39

Had to come and mark a place being as the last thread was exciting and full of bfps. I just read rock's post and thought 'yes I'm scared to graduate too' but then I realised I've been scared to graduate for 32 weeks and should probably man up and move on just go.

Bearfacedchic Sat 27-Jul-13 15:43:27

That all sounds very sensible and promising Red.

You're always welcome back Frog! Wow- 32 weeks already? Where has that gone?

Bearfacedchic Sat 27-Jul-13 15:58:27

Well, looks like I'm out for this month. Again. Just thought I had some cm and went to the loo but turns out I am bleeding instead mid-cycle. I've had it before so I'm guessing it's anovulatory bleeding. sad Why don't I work like I'm supposed to?

Bearfacedchic Sat 27-Jul-13 15:59:14

Oh and it's started raining.

EssieSaysRelax Sat 27-Jul-13 16:02:23

Oh bear. I'm sorry, how crap. <squeezes bear's paw> xxx

Bearfacedchic Sat 27-Jul-13 16:16:16

Thanks Essie.

Although I've just looked it up again for the zillionth time and it does also say it can mean ovulation too, or one of a million other things. confused So basically no one knows conclusively.

Bearfacedchic Sat 27-Jul-13 16:19:32

Off to read my book and indulge myself in a cry.

EssieSaysRelax Sat 27-Jul-13 18:03:28

flowers for you.

Though I have heard that some women can experience spotting or bleeding when icing too. have you used contraband?

ChocChaffinch Sat 27-Jul-13 19:57:06

thanks bear

cookielove Sat 27-Jul-13 20:35:56

Bear urgh I just don't know what to say. I'm so cross at stoopid af she is the devil. Big squeeeeezy hug sent to you! !

Erm so I went to tell my dad today and he just gave me a huge hug. I hugged him and then pulled away looked at my mum and said 'you told him?' And she said yes she was to excited to keep quiet grin

Alohomora Sat 27-Jul-13 21:39:09

Aww, Bear, I'm sorry - bodies are stupid things.

I survived work but haven't been useful for much afterwards. OH tried to initiate dtd this morning (he says he just wanted a cuddle but there was nudity and stealth poking) and all I wanted was just one more hour of sleep before getting up for work. I get an F for effort, clearly.

ChocChaffinch Sat 27-Jul-13 21:51:55

so sweet cookie :-) it's fun telling folk.

frogchops Sat 27-Jul-13 21:59:30

F for effort but that really made me laugh!

lil1ady Sat 27-Jul-13 22:16:51

bear as an optimistic voice....could the timing fit for implantation?

How much poking around did they do on Thursday? could be linked to that and not your cycle? Have a hug, biscuit ,thanks from me.

cookie it must have been lovely telling your family. I don't plan to tell anyone when I get my bfo except dh of course! but I imagine that will go out the window when I get there. my mum will probably guess.

I'm doing quite well at not symptom spotting but 2 things have struck me as odd. on Thursday I was working at a clients office and a really strong smell of garlic cooking came in the window. it made me feel quite sick but I normally love garlic. then today we had dominos for tea and the herb dip and cheese dough balls garlic oil tasted off to me. again very odd and normally what I enjoy in a dominos. I have no expectation that it means anything other than I'm losing my mind. in fact I'm so convinced its not happened this cycle I was drinking wine and eating brie yesterday. funny how we can't ignore this TTC lark even when we don't feel it could be possible.

lil1ady Sat 27-Jul-13 22:18:41

aloho if I woke to nudity and poking with intent id wonder who I was in bed with. dh really only does want a cuddle in the mornings! sooo with u on the extra sleep though!

Alohomora Sat 27-Jul-13 23:23:27

I think spooning with intent on 5 hours of sleep should be a crime punishable by no less than 3 footrubs and breakfast in bed brew.

ZingWidge Sat 27-Jul-13 23:24:26

I knew I was pg before tests showed PFB with some of them as our normal tap water suddenly tasted like burnt tyre smell and red peppers tasted how motor oil smells.

and the most bizarre one was whenni cooked some soup, left the kitchen for half an hour, went back to kitchen, smell made me feel so sick I puked into the kitchen sink!

that was that, I just knew it and was later proven right!

so fx.when are you POAS?

ZingWidge Sat 27-Jul-13 23:27:56

ZingWidge Sat 27-Jul-13 23:37:07

oops sorry for double posting!

lil1ady Sun 28-Jul-13 00:42:00

zing burnt tyres and motor oil - yuck! ertd due next Friday or Saturday so not peeing on anything until Sunday. I really don't believe it could be atm tho. I think my mind has pulled out some self defends mechanism. I feel completely resigned to this monthly dance we all do!

Nessalina Sun 28-Jul-13 01:29:06

Sorry to hear things aren't going to plan Bear - fx for a positive outcome!
It really is raining too - monsoon style in Yorkshire! Just got in from driving back from a friends house & my right shoulder is soaked because my car window leaks! hmm Pah.
I think if I ever get a BFP I will just tell my 2 best pals til 4!months. I know it'll be really hard, but my mum won't want to know unless it's a pretty sure thing. She tried for 4 years TTC me and had 2 quite late MCs (3 months & 3.5 months) before being on bed rest when she got upduffed with me, so I don't think any old BFP would be solid enough for her to get excited about. I get a lot of 'I don't wanna hear about it' vibes from her even just with us trying. I told myself not to get too hung up on TTC in case the same happens to me, but I think I've already mega failed there confused
Finally got round to reading the SMEP plan and realised why it's a Fred no go with it's naughty contrabandy ways but reckon its worth a go this month!

Redshoes56 Sun 28-Jul-13 05:03:39

Sorry bear flowers sad I started spotting today so I am feeling down too. DH looked so sad. We have to stay positive. But after a good cry. Sometimes they are necessary.

ZingWidge Sun 28-Jul-13 07:17:13

so sorry bearthanks

EssieSaysRelax Sun 28-Jul-13 08:42:49

Sorry red . Squeezey hugs for you too. Xx

Bearfacedchic Sun 28-Jul-13 10:42:26

Sorry red. It's shitty isn't it? thanks

Thanks for all your good wishes.

I just wish they had done blood tests for this cycle. Next cycle it will probably go back to normal and then I won't ever know what really happened.

I bought two dresses and booked myself onto a French course yesterday to cheer myself up. I may have no money left by the end of this Ttc lark, whenever that will be!

DownstairsMixUp Sun 28-Jul-13 10:44:08

Congrats choc

I think I'm out this month ladies! It's 7 days past ovulation, I wiped a little and had some blood. :'(

coffeewineandchocolate Sun 28-Jul-13 11:01:18

congrats to all the bfp's! I've been lurking in the thread for a few weeks but think we will have to take a break from ttc until I have some tests to find out why I'm so ill (nausea, wooziness, tiredness and palpitations). Got to have blood tests and an ecg :-(. I'm hoping its a virus but don't want to risk pregnancy incase it is heart/ thyroid etc related.

I will still lurk if that's ok and return ready to js asap :-)

Bearfacedchic Sun 28-Jul-13 11:03:04

That sounds like it could be implantation Downstairs, although I don't mean to get your hopes up too much either! confused I think mine is too early for implantation.

cookielove Sun 28-Jul-13 11:12:48

Hello all smile

Off to Wagamama's today, which is the best food ever!!

And of course its just another worry, who knew pregnant women shouldn't eat bean sprouts!! confused There is so much off limits now, i need a little pocket note book to carry round all the with a list of all the things i can't eat any more smile

Coffee hope your ok, and you find an answer!! flowers

Bear oooh a French course, your brave i failed miserably at French at school, that does remind me though to get back in my courses learning sign language. Thats the second language i am slowly learning.

Hello Newbies <waves manically>

I am loosing all brain power, one of my friends picked up a chest of drawers when i went outside, i said lets put it in the oven, meant car, and some horses and dogs went past, looked over at the dogs, which were huskies/wolf like and said that an unusual looking horse!!

Bearfacedchic Sun 28-Jul-13 11:13:20

Errr, so now I appear to be icing so says contraband so confusing!

lil1ady Sun 28-Jul-13 11:16:33

red thanks

I'm off to my mums for bacon and egg sarnies for lunch. lovely grin

DownstairsMixUp Sun 28-Jul-13 11:26:26

Cookie have a fab meal! Wagamamas is bloody lovely!

Lillady really? Ive wiped since but nothing... i wont test tho as reading about ib it sounds as if u dont get a positive for another few days... lets hope its not early af tho!

Minion Sun 28-Jul-13 11:37:11

Hi viroids!
Back from my last Cuba longhaul yay, but have left my phone on there boo.
Lost all me pics and numbers. Grrr. Also thought I was insured as I've had the insurance since 2005, but no, some incompetent fuckwit at O2 cancelled it without telling me. I was not a happy minion I tell thee.
So now I'm resigned to a tiny phone till April, then I can have an all singing, all dancing extravaganza of a moby.
Nice new Fred, fredders!

choc huge congratulations to you both, great news and bear I'm crossing, fingers, toes, legs, arms and eyes for you that this icing spike is of the oop duffage variety.

Ending the twot here. Supposed to see the ERTD arrive in all her misery, today. Nowt as yet, but I got that EWCM a day late so tomorrow is d-day I reckon.

But for the first time since coming off the pill, I have no PMS except tender nips!
No cramps, no spots, no backache, nothing, nada, zip! I'm very very happy, even if I have bawled my eyes out the last week.

Right, I'm being lazy and am still ensconced in my duvet so shall disentangle myself and face the grey skies.
Thank goodness for lazy Sunday fumbles!

EssieSaysRelax Sun 28-Jul-13 11:53:17

minion I've got no pms this cycle either, absolutely nothing, and now I'm late too and officially on my longest cycle now, tested this am and bfn though. Most irritating.

bear are you going to pee on a stick of the legal variety?

cookie enjoy wagas, what's the issue with bean sprouts!?

coffee sorry to hear you haven't been well sad when will you have some tests?

Hi to everyone else too, hope you are all having a good weekend. Xx

coffeewineandchocolate Sun 28-Jul-13 11:58:41

thanks all. blood tests are on this and ecg I have to book next week.Just awaiting call back from nhs direct after passing out coming out of the shooter this morning and coming round with the dog licking me frantically. thinking I may have to call the in laws as worried about looking after ds alone when dh is working...

fifi669 Sun 28-Jul-13 12:26:23

coffee you poor thing that sounds rubbish! Hope they get to the bottom of it soon

bear fingers crossed this is all building up to your BFP and you can tell the fertility docs you won't be needing their services!

I'm not well today totally self inflicted, hen party was good and our club had s club 7! actually s club 2, only Bradley and Paul

Bearfacedchic Sun 28-Jul-13 12:42:22

Aww Cookie- that's lovely.

Managed to squeeze some shaggedy in just to cover all bases. What a roller coaster this is!

Bearfacedchic Sun 28-Jul-13 12:54:08

Coffee- how awful! I hope you find out what it us so you can fix it soon.

Welcome back minion!

Enjoy Wagamamas Cookie! How yum! Going to try to convince DH to go for quaffee and cake this pm.

I'm on cd 18 so could be implantation I guess? But probably isn't if I got 'signs' that I'm icing. There's also the BFP scenario but I think it's too early for that even. Such a mystery. Feel like Sherlock Holmes trying to figure this out!

Refoca Sun 28-Jul-13 13:48:20

Hello all! May I join you?

Not quite ttc yet, but when we start I reckon this might be a better approach than all those things you sensibly call contraband...so can I get to know you now, get a bit excited about the whole prospect?

Oh coffee you poor thing, how horrible. Glad you are able to get tests done soon and hopefully they'll be able to give you some answers soon and get you on the mend. Take care of yourself. Xx

fifi were they actually performing?!

bear I'm on coffee and cake mission this pm too. Enjoy yours!

EssieSaysRelax Sun 28-Jul-13 13:56:32

Hi refoca, welcome!

DulcetMoans Sun 28-Jul-13 15:42:00

Aw it's got a little bit down in here today. Hope everyone has had a treat to cheer them up.

Never been to wagamamas, what am I missing??

Welcome refoca. JSing is the best way. To start with anyway! Lol. Doesn't last long until you'll drive yourself crazy though...

Knicker watch here. AF due tomorrow...

GreatScott1 Sun 28-Jul-13 15:49:47

Hi refoca I'm a newbie too smile

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend?

Well I'm definately out this month sad (although already knew it was coming if im honest) This one has been a weird cycle! I'm usually really regular - 28days, this month on cd30 I started spotting, spotted for a week shock and now have full blown ERTD!

DH has taken it badly this month sad we r 24 and 25, dtd 3/4 times a week, we are healthy, don't drink much, he keeps asking me what we are doing wrong?

Who knew it would be this hard!?

EssieSaysRelax Sun 28-Jul-13 16:07:09

Oh great sorry you are out. It is hard. Ttc is certainly the toughest thing DH and I have coped with together and neither of us expected it to be difficult.

I'm having a screwed up cycle too. Think I might go to dr actually. Keep getting a weird fairly mild, but definite pain, in a very precise area low down but in the middle, like a stabby sort of pain for a min or so, then it goes again. Not the usual general crampy ache of ertd and not ov pain cos its not in the right place. Had it a few days, combined with ertd now 4 days late when I thought my cycles had really setted down. Am almost certain I ovved on cd18, and now on cd34. Several bfns and zero pms which is unusual.

Sorry I haven't really lightened the mood either. Did get my cake though. I had marbled rice crispy cake and DH had carrot cake. grin

Alohomora Sun 28-Jul-13 16:27:50

We're at Dobbie's for tea and scones and retail therapy & there's a 4th birthday party in the corner, and half the moms are pregnant to boot! Bah.

pizzaqueen Sun 28-Jul-13 17:18:41

Hi everyone, finally getting a chance to check in, not managed to read the whole threat yet though. I was away for a night for DPs birthday. Had a lovely time just two of us, but feel more tired than before we left.

We've dtd 5 days in row now!! I don't have the heart to tell DP it probably won't make a baby though as I don't think i'm ov/icing just now. He's been trying so hard bless him. Also don't want to put him off by telling him we don't need to do it everyday. Also been having spotting on and off for the last 3/4 days since af finished confused. Not sure if I should call the doc he isn't the most approachable guy. But the jsing is fun in itself.

Pizza, good for you on all the JSing! I don't think we've had sex that many days in a row since we were first dating.

ERTD imminent but definitely feeling better today. Staying focused on upcoming appointment. Off to brunch with some girlfriends then driving up to the Boston area for work for two days, so I may be shit at checking on the fred until I am back Tuesday night. Everyone stay positive smile!

fifi669 Sun 28-Jul-13 18:19:04

essie it was glorified karaoke really! Ashton from JLS was in another club too.

DownstairsMixUp Sun 28-Jul-13 18:55:06

Hmm.. the bleeding has stopped now :/ arghh i hate this waiting!

Minion Sun 28-Jul-13 19:11:42

Jetlag brain has struck again. Due n Tomoz, not today. So not Officially late as yet.
But after two naps today and a bout of nausea coupled with windy pops recon she'll be right on time.
Poop stick$!

DulcetMoans Sun 28-Jul-13 19:30:00

I'm due tomorrow too minion but hope has dwindled the closer I got. Guess we will both find out tomorrow.

Sounds like lots of people had lovely weekends though!

DownstairsMixUp Sun 28-Jul-13 19:51:49

Dulcet are you usually quite regular? Will you be testing tomorrow then if your due date is today for af? If so, good luck!

pizzaqueen you never know smile I'm sure your dh has appreciated the 5 days in a row of BDing! :D Don't think I am yet to meet a man to complain about that! Do you have any idea when you last ovulated??

Can anyone PLEASE send me the strength to not test till at least saturday??? I've read loads about implantation bleeds (thanks girls!!) and everyone seems to say it needs a good few days to pick up the hormone on a HPT!

ChocChaffinch Sun 28-Jul-13 20:22:50

keep the faith ttc-ers. thanks it will happen.

ZingWidge Sun 28-Jul-13 20:55:57

BabyZing is15 month old. she crawled to me and sat down next to me.
I was about to say quick prayer, asking that you all might be granted your wishes and be able to have a baby.

After showing her how, I asked her to put her hands together and she did! for the first time ever!
and so we prayed. and when I said "Amen" she looked at me and grinned.smile

I can do no better than that.♡

Fox82 Sun 28-Jul-13 21:02:10

Awwww zing that is soooooo sweet grin

EssieSaysRelax Sun 28-Jul-13 21:38:23

Aww zing that's so sweet. Thank you. I can just imagine a cute little baby zing clapping her little hands together. <3 grin

DownstairsMixUp Sun 28-Jul-13 22:15:27

Aww zing that's lovely :-)

EssieSaysRelax Sun 28-Jul-13 22:30:58

And now I also have side boob pain hmm

AuntieMaggie Sun 28-Jul-13 22:34:01

I had what I thought was ewcm on monday and then on friday some light bleeding (the day after my ovulation pain stopped) and again today. My cycle is unpredictable but I thought it was longer than 3 or 4 days between them confused

how do I know when to poas?

lil1ady Sun 28-Jul-13 22:36:03

ah zing and babyzing that is soooo sweet. now we have real "baby" dust to help us with babyzing on the case grin

downstairs fx it is implantation for you. if it turns out it us I will have qns!

pizza shock 5 days! r u energizer bunnies?! I'm in awe!

sorry to those with ertd/ertd symptoms...but for those who only have the symptoms Ur not out yet so fx!

DownstairsMixUp Sun 28-Jul-13 22:36:43

auntie if your thinking it's implantation bleeding, I've read at least 7 days after the bleed should be enough to get a + HPT. I had a slight bleed today which has now stopped, and ovulated 22nd of july so won't test till the end of this week at least.

DownstairsMixUp Sun 28-Jul-13 22:37:53

Thanks lil1ady i'm trying to hold out to test till late next week as everywhere seems to say you won't get a + till a week after it!

Bearfacedchic Sun 28-Jul-13 23:01:40

Ah Zing- thank you. That's so sweet. I hope someone's listening. thanks

Yep, if it's implantation you need to wait a while, at least 7 days, until you get a positive. Apparently the hormone will only be at levels that can be detected by then. Got everything crossed for you!

I'm getting some weird feelings in the nether regions. Not pain, but just what I can only describe as movement! It's probably just wind though . . .

Nessalina Sun 28-Jul-13 23:53:12

Aww Zing that's so darn cute! grin All prayers gratefully received!
Sounds like loads of you have some very positive symptoms, really hope our first Fred BFP is on the way!
Don't think I'll be getting my cape on tonite, waaay too sleepy, how lame is that?!

Alohomora Mon 29-Jul-13 00:01:30

I don't know, I have three apps to help me figure stuff out and they give me different predictions - not that helpful!

pizza, respect! I'm not sure we could keep that up!

downstairs, stay away from those pee sticks, you're not to go near them yet!

I am sore in the nethers and can't figure out whether it's ERTD or just overuse.

I just got a text from my mom, my cousin had her baby boy! Next cousin is due in about 2-3 weeks or so.

Bearfacedchic Mon 29-Jul-13 00:04:08

It is nearly midnight though Nessa so don't really blame you! So set the alarm and get up early instead. Don't forget now!

I've been getting ewcm with spotting the last few hours. Gah- come on body; make your mind up! <Note seriousness denoted by semi-colon usage>

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better one for us all and even better for those already content!

Bearfacedchic Mon 29-Jul-13 00:04:43

Oh no - past midnight by the time I posted!

Bearfacedchic Mon 29-Jul-13 00:07:34

Oh yes and sorry to you Great. thanks

And hello Refoca- welcome to the madness!

Bearfacedchic Mon 29-Jul-13 01:03:25

Okay- just been researching into the small hours and I'm pretty sure now that my bleeding was icing. (Ovulation for any newbies!) I've got other signs like ewcm and positive contraband so it must be. Really hoping so anyway! Phew. Exhausted now. Night night.

cookielove Mon 29-Jul-13 07:30:41

Glad to hear it bear

Morning all smile

DownstairsMixUp Mon 29-Jul-13 08:03:48

Good to hear bear you best get busy ;-)

Thanks alomohora and good morning to you cookie!

I have just woken and upon wiping, sorry if tmi, a teeny bit more brown stained discharge. 8 dpo so pretty sure this could be af??? Booo.. sad

pizzaqueen Mon 29-Jul-13 08:31:06

downstairs I have no idea when I last ovulated. because of the miscarriage my cycle will still be messed up. Let's see if anyone can help me make sense of it:

6th HCG levels still up at 132
9th scan showed very tiny piece of 'product' remaining
13th negative pg test smile
16th started spotting which turned into full blown AF a couple of days later and it lasted a week

been spotting on and off since af went (teeny tiny bit).

There's a big chance I didn't even ovulate amongst those dates but if I did I'd guess between 10th and 16th...but no idea what that means for this cycle

So confusing!hmm

EssieSaysRelax Mon 29-Jul-13 09:11:24

Bear, good news, hope you didn't stay up too late so that you are too tired for jsing!

downstairs could that be implantation? (I don't know much anything about the subject so I'm just speculating?)

pizza, were you fairly regular before mc? Hope your cycle settles down soon.

STILL no ertd here. Now 4 days late. Weird thing is though, I am pretty sure I iced 18 days ago and previous couple of cycles my literal phase was bang on 14 days. So something weird is going on. BFN again this morning though. Confused.com

DulcetMoans Mon 29-Jul-13 09:24:32

God, we've all got to the important bits at the same time! Icing or testing all round!

I'm due today, tested this morning and BFN. I am usually quite regular (someone asked that below) so shouldn't be too long a wait if I am out. Although was like 6 days late last month so who knows!!

DownstairsMixUp Mon 29-Jul-13 09:27:25

pizza I'd say your body is still just trying to settle back into it's normal pattern. I had a very early miscarriage earlier in the year and I had weird symptoms like that for well over a month. Even now my periods aren't "settled" as such, the cycle varies from 28 - 40 days and my periods can't decide whether they are heavy, light etc! But I defintely have ovulated since, maybe you should have some contraband near by as I think they help after M/C for comfort for yourself really, to see your getting back to normal business. Hope you're ok. X

essie I thought it could be that but then woke up this morning and yet more so thinking it's just the starting of AF. I'm trying not to be upset as it's my first cycle trying so I'd be a spoiled little witch if i whined too much! Just willing it go sod off now so I can BD on the next cycle smile I don't want to put your hopes up lots but if you iced 18 days ago, there's still a chance your pregnant? With my first LO i didn't get a positive pregnancy test till 20 days past ovulation. So fingers crossed for you!

bear, that sounds promising, you'll have a sleep deprived week ahead of you!

downstairs I came off Cerazette in March and my cycles are still quite doolally, you're right it is so tricky
to know when you're ovulating! In the first month I tried contraband but didn't get any decent results and the thought oh sod it. I do have the usual of symptoms, twinge left ovary and lots of fantasies about shagging Cardassians. (Wot?)

AQuarkTooFar Mon 29-Jul-13 09:32:20

Morning all! Sorry I am so late in to this thread but I like what you have done with the place.

Hi to the newbies and flowers to everyone felling a bit down or confused at the moment.

Not much to report here, mid cycle ish, dtd eod is going well.

EssieSaysRelax Mon 29-Jul-13 09:34:07

So annoying when the two weeks of torture become three! or four!

Hi quark! <waves>

EssieSaysRelax Mon 29-Jul-13 09:35:17

Yes Aloho, Cardassians.... wot?

AQuarkTooFar Mon 29-Jul-13 09:36:40

Oh Essie two cycles ago I was 10 days late! So annoying! Why do our bodies mess with our head so much?

I think its often like a watched pot never boils.......

<not helpful>

DownstairsMixUp Mon 29-Jul-13 09:42:35

Hi quack

Aloho Cerrazette was awful for me, really messed my cycles up, think I non stop spotted the whole three months I was on it! But yeah your right, I think most pills totally mess with your cycle, I won't go back on them if I ever do fall pregnant ever again!

essie Yep. I have all my fingers crossed for you though! It's a horrible wait. I was kinda upset at the so called IB turning into a AF at first but i'm kinda like oh well, the TWOT is over now! At least thats one positive! ;-)

EssieSaysRelax Mon 29-Jul-13 10:06:12

downstairs I hope you are right. I'm not going to test again until the end of the week. Trying to put it all to the back of my mind! Slight problem is that on Weds I have a hospital check up following the abnormal smears and treatment I have had in the past, but its meant to be done post ERTD which I would have been if my body wasn't complicated! ARGH! Going to phone them today and ask them what to do.

quark, yes, I do feel a bit like I am scaring my body by obsessing over it so it's got stage fright!

AuntieMaggie Mon 29-Jul-13 10:06:29

I have no idea what implantation bleeding is (I didn't know about ewcm til you ladies told me) I was thinking it was probably my period although a very light short one. My cycle has always been erratic and I came off the pill last month so I have no idea when anything should be happening... perhaps I need a biology lesson!

DownstairsMixUp Mon 29-Jul-13 10:14:14

essie def don't test till the end of the week, you'll more than likely just get false negatives and end up feeling more poo!

auntiemaggie implantation bleeding doesn't happen for all women but it's when the egg burrows in the lining and a small amount of blood can come away. Apparentely it's meant to be very light brown or pink in colour and doesn't last for more than like 2 days i think i read.

fifi669 Mon 29-Jul-13 10:16:25

AF not due til Sunday but still did a test this morning.... Obviously BFN. When's the earliest you can actually test?

PrincessKitKat Mon 29-Jul-13 10:28:20

Hi all
I was on the previous thread but didn't contribute much, just lurking - how many BFPs?! smile

No DCs
TTC since May

Been a crazy symptom spotting fool for this TWOT - im sure its all in my head. I think I've even convinced myself into uncomfortable boob pain, but will be POAS at the end of the week of AF hasn't shown up.
Anyone fancy a synchronised wee? It might stop me wasting a stick testing too early!

DownstairsMixUp Mon 29-Jul-13 10:36:33

fifi i think it's four days before AF is due with those first response tests.

hi PrincessKitKat

Alohomora Mon 29-Jul-13 10:53:26

essie every time I ovulate I turn into a randy cow with a head full if sexual fantasies. Sadly they're not about my DH but about all kinds if fictional characters I've fancied since my teens - am a bit if a geek, hence this month the Cardassians. I don't even get to pick!

I spotted the first three moths in Cerazette but then had no periods at all while in it. Didn't have much sex drive either, and put in weight, but was otherwise fine. Have a history of depression so I'm glad it didn't trigger anything there. Had a pill break last year and cycle was 30 days on the dot so really annoyed it's so all over the place this time whn it actually matters!

Bearfacedchic Mon 29-Jul-13 11:19:23

Aloho- Who are the Cardassians? More explanation please.

hmm Essie- all sounds rather spish to me. I think a BFP could be on it's way to you. <checks delivery schedule> yes, hopefully it's on its way. smile

Fifi- you can get a BFP as early as 12dpo. If you dr Goofle clear blue pregnancy test positives how soon after ovulation or something like that it gives you a chart to show how many people got a BFP on which dpo.

Hi Quark- was wondering how you are?

Hi all other Twotters, shaggers and lurkers.

fifi669 Mon 29-Jul-13 11:22:11

aloho cardassains as in Star Trek?

DulcetMoans Mon 29-Jul-13 11:51:35

Haha. Here's me googling 'life size captain Picard' and come in here to find you discussing cardassians!

Alohomora Mon 29-Jul-13 12:32:34

blush yep, Star Trek! My hormones have decided scales are sexy this month, I don't know why!

Though a life-sized Captain Picard wouldn't come amiss, either...

pizzaqueen Mon 29-Jul-13 12:48:00

Hello newbies kitkat and others i might have missed.

essie before my mc i had the implant for two years and no regular cycle on that (spotted or bled lamost constantly for two years - awful!). Then i only had one full cycle before getting pregnant, it was 40 days though...

fifi669 Mon 29-Jul-13 12:52:57

Picard? Really? I'd more more inclined to have a bit of Riker myself smile

Curly86 Mon 29-Jul-13 13:04:02

Hi ladies can I join?

Am TTC have gone mad with bad banned contranban items and no BFP so have decided to JS every other day and see what happens, have no idea about ovulation dates as CM and OPK contradicted themselves! Grrr fed up of weeing in a tub and dipping all manor of sticks in it!

DownstairsMixUp Mon 29-Jul-13 13:12:06

Hi curly Welcome smile

Right everybody, any advice for me? Does anyone have any knowledge about this lutuel phase thingy? (aka the bit from ovulation to your next period) since AF has made her very UNWELCOME visit, I've cottoned onto the fact mine is very short. (I ovulated 7 days ago and AF started arriving yesterday and now I'm on) Anyone think it's worth a trip to the doctors or to wait out next cycle and see if it does the same thing?

Curly86 Mon 29-Jul-13 13:16:34

Don't know a lot and maybe wrong but I you have a short luteal phase sometimes the lining can breakdown before proper implantation causing a chemical pregnancy?? Might be worth a trip to the quacks as think they can give you something maybe progesterone to help? But not sure

DownstairsMixUp Mon 29-Jul-13 13:23:21

Thanks curly i think I'll wait for AF to finish then go and see the GP, I'm guesing I'll have blood tests etc but def very strange, I had a very strong positive on an OPK 22nd of July to say i was ovulating, and the day after but alas AF is here! All very odd this ttcing business! smile

Minion Mon 29-Jul-13 13:33:29

Hola chicas.
How's everybody on this thundery Monday? I've just returned for the 3 hour meeting with the mortgage advisor. It's officially happening and I am bricking it!
Oooerr, all this talk about life insurance really puts the willies up me (sounds a bit rude but hey).
In other news still no PMS coming which is odd and I'm pretty sure I'm due on tomoz, even though a day late according to the app. But this morning, early like every time ERTD shows her face, I woke up with a (tmi) weird warmish feeling in me fanjo. I'm now worried I'm coming down with a water infection. Gah. I didn't even DTD loads this month so I know I'm not pg but this would just be my luck to get cystitis.
And last night I dreamt me and my sister went to boots and did matching tests and my turned to + straight away..
Baby on the brain or what!

EssieSaysRelax Mon 29-Jul-13 13:45:04

It is all ultra confusing and I have not got my head around my cycle at all either. Just when I think I know what its doing then my body throws in another weird one. Like now!

Welcome Curly!

Downstairs, from what I understand your literal phase should be the same each cycle. However, mine has been 14 days ish for the last few cycles when I've used contraband a bit to try and suss things out, but this cycle, if the contraband is correct, I am now 18-19 dpo, so either that theory is cobblers (probably) or I am up the duff (probably not as my sculpture of bfns if taking shape nicely). So frankly, I don't have a clue! Probably won't do any harm to see your GP if its worrying you though.

Bear Thanks for assigning the next delivery to me! Hope it doesn't get lost in the post! I've only been doing internet cheapie pee sticks as thats all I've got. Bfns on those, but ERTD still absent, along with all pmt, so I'd be shocked if she made an appearance now tbh. A few days ago I had a few cramps and a headache (and a thousand spots - NOT exaggerating - I look a fright), but then that all went away and now nothing. Should I splash out on a digital test, I thought the cheap sticks were as sensitive as the rest?

I've left a message with the colposcopy clinic to see if I should postpone my appointment on Weds too. Wanted to get that out the way too. Boo.

Wish someone would invent an iphone app that could just unravel all this and tell me what the feck is going on!

EssieSaysRelax Mon 29-Jul-13 13:47:49

Ohhh Minion - we got our mortgage insurance from legal and general a few weeks ago and got £50 of free M&S vouchers - they might still have that promo on. Great that its all happening on the house! Yay for you. Very exciting.

Hope your dream is in fact a premonition. grin

Bearfacedchic Mon 29-Jul-13 13:49:09

Just a quickie for downstairs - there's a thread called the short luteal phase gang who might be able to help a bit more.

Bearfacedchic Mon 29-Jul-13 13:52:17

Essie- I don't know why exactly but people on here seem to say that ICs are more sensitive than digis, but I can't tell you why. Sorry! I'd test, but then seeing a bfn doesn't upset me as much as waiting. But that's just me.

EssieSaysRelax Mon 29-Jul-13 13:59:38

I don't want to fork out on an expensive test if there is no point. Think I'll stick to testing with cheapies every couple of days for now and see what occurs. I was under the impression the cheapies were the most sensitive too.

DownstairsMixUp Mon 29-Jul-13 15:05:14

Thanks bear I'm going to have a look now smile

ChocChaffinch Mon 29-Jul-13 15:47:07

*aloho^ was a bit shock that you were fantasizing about the Kardashians!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DulcetMoans Mon 29-Jul-13 16:17:12

I know the cheapies are meant to be the best but I still can't help my mind thinking 'have I got time to get to SuperDrug and get a first response?'

I have a question, whilst we are talking about literal phases! If you have a short one (think mine is 10 days) then when should you test? Cos the day AF is due might not actually be long enough for it to show on test, if that makes sense. Ie. I am 10dpo (in theory) but today AF is due so testing is bound to be BFN anyway, isn't it? Not that it stops me..,

DownstairsMixUp Mon 29-Jul-13 16:49:08

dulcet I don't know if this helps you at all but if what i have is indeed a short lutuel phase, then with my first LO, I did not test positive untill 20DPO!

Minion Mon 29-Jul-13 16:55:36

Ertd is on her ugly way.
I can feel it.
But on the plus side I hope it means I hardly get any PMS symptoms before she arrives... (wishful thinking)

DownstairsMixUp Mon 29-Jul-13 17:50:41

Big glass of wine to Minion Af has also arrived for me so you're not alone!

Minion Mon 29-Jul-13 18:29:02

down thanks for the vino, gulp gulp

Curly86 Mon 29-Jul-13 18:33:53

Ok ladies im confused; so if my last cycle was 50 days and I'm now on CD24 CM says I ovulated 14 days ago, stoopid OPK says I haven't ovulated and logic says ovulation should be in approx 12 days, what is with the twinge I keep getting in my uterus!! I hate my body! I agree with Essie there should be an app to say do it now for BFP!

Have decided that maybe I should just resolve myself to being childless and have more cats :-/

EssieSaysRelax Mon 29-Jul-13 18:38:53

I'd do the more cats thing too curly, only my current cat is evil and tries to deck all other cats! .. He is cute though if you are not feline.

I think ertd might be coming. Got cramps in the last hour and that dull ache like my trousers are too tight except they're not. sad

EssieSaysRelax Mon 29-Jul-13 18:40:20

I tried to do a smiley cat but it just turned out as two full stops. Also the drama crown as gone! <wails dramatically>

Curly86 Mon 29-Jul-13 18:46:40

At least my 3 cats don't look disappointed when I get a BFN secretly I think they do voodoo when I'm asleep as they don't like the idea of not being the babies anymore!

I think I may have sum messed up cycle this month and my twinning is actually ERTD on her way :-/

ChocChaffinch Mon 29-Jul-13 19:07:59

so who is yet to test? good luck viroids,

f x f x f x f x f x f x f x f x f x f x f x f x f x f x f x f x f x f

Alohomora Mon 29-Jul-13 19:17:50

I do, but I don't think it's going to amount to anything.

Had AF 1st of July, dtd 9th, 10th, 15th 17th and 23rd. Waiting for ERTD (should start on the 6th of August).

That's what the stupid app says. BUT I think I had an unusually long cycle last month due to wedding stress, travel and illness, so goodness knows when I actually OVed.

DownstairsMixUp Mon 29-Jul-13 19:22:47

Good luck alohomora! I wonder who will have the first BFP on this thread?!

DulcetMoans Mon 29-Jul-13 19:48:52

Thanks downstairs, it's nice to still have hope either way. 20dpo is late!!

Good luck alhomora, did you get married last month? Mine is next month, a little nervous!

ChocChaffinch Mon 29-Jul-13 19:59:58

wow dulcet you gettin' hitched!

DownstairsMixUp Mon 29-Jul-13 20:13:15

Yeah it was quite late dulcet i remember i had an implantation bleed on the 14th of december 2008 and had a positive test not till the 23rd of december 2008 smile Good luck with your upcoming nuptials!

Alohomora Mon 29-Jul-13 20:20:19

dulcet, good luck with it all!

We had a small casual registrar ceremony here in Feb and then a big free ceremony/blessing over in Germany, meant everyone could come (lots of elderly relatives). The 'big' wedding last month was a blast, there were some hilarious mishaps but it was a perfect day! Just relax, have fun and be prepared for things to not be perfect and people to be somewhat stupid and you'll be ready to face it all!

cookielove Mon 29-Jul-13 20:31:36

Evening all. Sounds like some bfp's are due soon smile

Urgh my boobs hurt!!

clareyfarey Mon 29-Jul-13 20:35:35

Hello ladies, mind if I join in?

Been TTC since beginning of the year....now trying not to be mental about it all and let it run my life......... hmm

TTC Jan 2013

Last ERTD was 1st July, had a holiday 12th July where we DTD every day (oooh err missus!!) apparently ov'd on 16th.....and AF due tomorrow.

Trying. Not. To. Be. Mental

ChocChaffinch Mon 29-Jul-13 20:38:49

cookie when are you due?

cookielove Mon 29-Jul-13 20:38:59

Probably cause I am stoopidly excited I posted by bfp's on my profile grin

cookielove Mon 29-Jul-13 20:39:34

ChocChaffinch Mon 29-Jul-13 20:39:44

wooooh! clareyfairy that sounds v exciting! fx'd for you.

clareyfarey Mon 29-Jul-13 20:46:11

Trying not to be, OH is saying to chill the Jeff out about it. Wishing it could be a few days later...... I have a test upstairs but trying v v v hard to resist using it til I'm at LEAST 3 days late. Cycles been between 28 and 31 days so not sure .....

Good luck to anyone else testing this week!

grin Xx

ChocChaffinch Mon 29-Jul-13 20:50:04

Im carrying my wee stick (a capped one) in my handbag!! join the april 2014 thread in antenatal clubs, cookie, Im due 5/5 but will be having a cs 7 days before = 28/4 roughly

ChocChaffinch Mon 29-Jul-13 20:50:43

cookie --- you're due 4/4/14 ! magnificent work grin

DulcetMoans Mon 29-Jul-13 21:22:37

Thanks all, and great advice!

Welcome clarey, you're doing well to not test!!

clareyfarey Mon 29-Jul-13 21:27:18

Thanks dulcet 7 cycles of trying have taught me later the better!

Had a few weird long cycles, then some short ones after coming off the pill in Jan so hopefully it will settle down soon.

Fingers crossed all that JSing was worth it, poor OH looks like he needs another holiday!

Curly86 Mon 29-Jul-13 21:43:11

Lol clareyfarey I'm sure my OH pretended to be asleep the other night, bless them, he did mention we havent had this much since we first met then quickly backed it up with a "not that I'm complaining" and a strange macho grin hmm

EssieSaysRelax Mon 29-Jul-13 22:16:06

I'm out. Ertd is here. Fecking crap body.

ZingWidge Mon 29-Jul-13 22:26:59

<hugs Essie >

sorry sweets thanks

Alohomora Mon 29-Jul-13 22:28:07

Ah, essie, crap. Have some booze wine, rest the cape for a couple of days.

fifi669 Mon 29-Jul-13 22:49:54

Dull ache.... Feeling particularly sensitive.... The witch is coming....damn her

EssieSaysRelax Mon 29-Jul-13 22:51:39

Cape in the recycling, I'm fashioning a new one with built in sound system so we can listen to the boob (because you can get upduffed through your ears you know, it's happened on this very fred).

Welcome clarey hope you like it here.

Good luck dulcet for your wedding! I'd love to do it all again, with dh of course! grin

Bearfacedchic Mon 29-Jul-13 23:39:49

Sorry Essie. Majorly crap. Bloody bodies. thanks I think your new cape needs The Button too. I mean, the whizzing, flashing upduffed button.

Hello Clarey- all sounds very promising. Will lurk over your shoulder.

Bearfacedchic Mon 29-Jul-13 23:59:25

Exciting Dulcet! Although I think I already knew as you mentioned it when you first joined. Hurrah anyhoo! I love a good wedding!

Bearfacedchic Tue 30-Jul-13 00:00:21

Oh and the foxes here are clearly icing as all I can hear is them shagging!

Minion Tue 30-Jul-13 06:41:25

Why the frickity frick I'm awake at this ungodly is beyond me!
Still no ERTD, thought for sure she was arrive quick sticks but the dull rumble has effed off so I'm once again left in limbo.
Tis TTC lark is really starting to piss me off tbh. Am I, arent I.. Just HOW do those jezza Kyle types get fertilised just as soon as looking at a snaggle toothed skank?
How? How?
I can see my passengers on this afternoons flight are in for a happy ride!

lil1ady Tue 30-Jul-13 07:36:55

wow I missed a lot yesterday!

Hi to newbies, wine for ertds.

what did stand out to me was essies comment about the iPhone app....essie maybe the problem is u have an iPhone grin sorry, I just don't get the iPhone craze

I'm still yet to test at the end of this week/wait for AF but am so convinced its a no go this month I was on the vino last night.

fx for everyone else waiting to test/waiting for testing to turn to late bfps!

Curly86 Tue 30-Jul-13 07:45:33

I've convinced myself after 2 months of nothing and then 3 50 day cycles that this month just maybe my body may have returned to normal a 28 day cycle as I think I ovulated early which means AF should be due Friday? Have symptom spotted and think I should test at the weekend

Anyone else had really long cycles after the implant and pill?

DownstairsMixUp Tue 30-Jul-13 08:07:00

Essie I'm sorry about ERTD making an appearance, mine has also come on full flow today sad Let's have a vodka and be miserable together!

minion i often ask myself the same thing! They seem to pop 'em out left right and centre on jezza kyle and obviously it only took "that one time" VERY frustrating isn't it?!

lillady hope you get your BFP! I'm deffo out so i wanna see a BFP on this thread from somebody by the end of the week to lift my spirits!

curly my cycle was just all over the shot after I come off one of the pills that i'd been on. One minute it was a long cycle, then a short, took around 6 months to settle down!

I can confirm the ERTD has arrived full flow now, the spotting was just the start of it sadly, and not an implantation bleed (wishful thinking!) bit concerning though as I said I know i ovulated on the 22nd of july so that means i have a super short luteal phase, awaiting her to piss off so i can see if this happens again on the next cycle then i guess its off to the doctor i go. Sigh.

pizzaqueen Tue 30-Jul-13 08:16:02

curly I had a 40 day cycle after coming off the implant but then I got pg in the cycle after that but reckon I oved cd23 in that cycle. the baby didn't stick though. try not to worry probably your cycles just settling down, frustrating to hear but most of us have been there, just keep shagging wink

I woke up feeling very nauseous this morning but can't possibly be upduffed yet so just feeling woosy for no apparent reason. although it's passed now on my way to work.

Curly86 Tue 30-Jul-13 08:17:18

downstairs sorry to hear that, I suggest a huge vodka some pâté and trampolining; as hopefully all 3 will soon be off limits to you! This is month 7 so I'm hoping its settled down this month; it sucks!

DownstairsMixUp Tue 30-Jul-13 08:34:15

Thanks curly was a bit upset earlier, our bodies are cruel playing tricks on us! And yes i know, the pill is horrible, I def won't be going back on it ever again!

EssieSaysRelax Tue 30-Jul-13 08:51:20

haha! lil, but you see I don't have an iPhone! I have some knackered old sony thing. But if they invented the upduff alarm app for the iPhone then I would race out and buy one! I don't really get the iPhone craze, but I do get why apple products are so great as I have an (ancient) apple computer at home and its soooooooo much better than dh's brand new pc.

downstairs, sorry she's got you too. Vodka binge sounds fab, I'm there.

Minion, you make me laugh. Snaggle toothed skank! Ha! But I agree, howcome they are all super fertile? Maybe its something to do with shagging a different skank every day/night.

curly, I'm now on cycle 9, and only in the last 3 cycles do mine appear to be forming some sort of pattern-ish.

I can't scroll back to the previous page so sorry for those I've missed - hope everyone has a good day. xxx

EssieSaysRelax Tue 30-Jul-13 08:52:55

curly sorry should have said, on cycle 9 after coming off the pill.

Bearfacedchic Tue 30-Jul-13 09:07:25

Sorry Essie and Downstairs. thanks and wine to you both.

'Snaggle toothed skank' made me laugh! It could also be that they are aged between 16 and 21 so are super fertile- grrrr. But yes, I think frequency of snaggle sex and willing skanks is key as Essie said. Annoying though!

DownstairsMixUp Tue 30-Jul-13 09:18:18

I have a telephone consultation with gp in twenty mins. Will post later and let you know how it goes.x

EssieSaysRelax Tue 30-Jul-13 09:27:40

Good luck downstairs, hope the phone consult is helpful.

Thanks bear, I did enjoy some a bit too much wine last night.

I just phoned the foof clinic ahead of tomorrows colp appointment and they said they still want to see me even though ertd is here. Gross. Hope its with Dr Bowtie. Really hate someone shining a torch up there and with ertd around as well it really grosses me out! Sorry for tmi.

Minion Tue 30-Jul-13 09:41:29

Do you think it's because they drink woodpecker and smoke?
Mayhaps we've been doing it wrong gals? Listening to the Boob and popping frolic acid like its cocaine at London fashion week?.?

Ive only got Zinfandel and incense in (bloody hippy) and I cant quaff booze before a flight, no matter what The Sun says!

DulcetMoans Tue 30-Jul-13 09:55:14

Oh minion, I hear you! I know it's wrong and those ladies getting pregnant in no way affects my fertility but I have a relation with 7 kids. 7! And I can't help but think that's unfair sometimes.

Pizza- the thought of going to work quite often makes me feel sick! Lol

Good luck with the call downstairs, hope you get some answers!

Minion Tue 30-Jul-13 10:14:43

I think I'm dragging out the pity party pool ladies.
Roll up. We've got pretzels of the chocolate and German variety, beers of international renown and the diet coke man is rocking up at various intervals.
Also set up on the trestle table is the squidgiest pâté, the smelliest slab of Brie, lashings of champagne cocktails and a whole host of cured meats from the Catalan.
Farking ERTD... Just hurry up will you.

EssieSaysRelax Tue 30-Jul-13 10:25:48

I'll whip up a tasty treat with coffee, peanut butter, dippy eggs, prawns and bean sprouts then Minion! See you there! Shall we have the water ultra hot as well since thats another upduff no-no?

EssieSaysRelax Tue 30-Jul-13 10:26:17

I need to hire a car on Sat and can't find the frigging paper counterpart bit of my license!

Minion Tue 30-Jul-13 10:34:30

Woah woah woah!
Are you telling me peanut butter is a no go item?
That's just not cricket.
This kid better be worth it haha, I love me a pb & j sarnie.

EssieSaysRelax Tue 30-Jul-13 10:47:22

Apparently peanuts are out due to risk of allergy, I think it sounds like cobblers. Pb & j - bleurgh!

ZingWidge Tue 30-Jul-13 10:50:48

minion I like peanut butter, ham and cucumber sandwiches. yum

Minion Tue 30-Jul-13 10:51:58

Ooh no, it ranks right up there with a chicken super noodle sammich too!
I hope I crave those and not something wank like ice or petrol fumes.

Bearfacedchic Tue 30-Jul-13 10:58:27

Good luck Downstairs.

Off on my holibobs today so see you all when I get back. Will still be lurking though.

Hello shaggers!
I missed some of the BFPs on the last Fred, but congrats all round - let's hope this Fred is as lucky for you all.
Still lurking. Obvs. 17wks and I can't leave you lot behind!
Peanut butter is now fine, btw - peanut allergy thing no longer a thing.
You could swap the pb for rare steaks - they are out. More's the pity.

EssieSaysRelax Tue 30-Jul-13 13:29:01

We could have peanut butter smothered rare steaks? Not weird compared with some of the things you lot eat!!!! Glad to hear the peanut thing is off now, always thought that was a load of crap!
Good to see you humpty! Hope you are keeping well? x

(found my driving license now - PHEW!)

Alohomora Tue 30-Jul-13 14:55:36

Cum, PB & Jelly sammich! Even better is Ob & Banana. I have EWCM, think AF is due tomorrow, so may join you in the banquet!

Alohomora Tue 30-Jul-13 14:56:28

Yum! I meant to type Yum!

Had the German spellchecker in from sending a text to
my Mom, wtf?!

DownstairsMixUp Tue 30-Jul-13 15:57:59

essie thanks for the good luck wishes! I hate all the poking round in your bits when your pregnant to, I still my birth all too vividly, having 20 people stare at you with your legs in stirrups, not my finest hour!

Minion that must be it! Maybe we should all meet up in parks or something late at night to discuss our fertility over white lightning and see where it gets us!

Regarding peanuts I ate them when I was pregnant with lo number one blush i had a raging craving for pistachios and he seems ok. blush

Have a nice holiday bear thank you for the good luck! smile

Phone call wasn't all exciting! I explained the situation how this and last cycle have ovulated and then less than 8 days after I've had AF arrive, he did say it was unusual, he seemed quite impressed at my knowledge of what might be wrong blush have to go for a blood test tomorrow (got to pick up the blood test form in the morning then off the the local hosp) then he wants me to book an appt in about a week to look at the results and go from there. I'm glad he took me seriously though, i had a lot of hormone related issues after my last lo and i've always wondered if that's in any way mucked me about to!

Anyway, I'm off to have a lovely dinner of spag bol tonight and a beer, the evil witch isn't playing nice this month!

clareyfarey Tue 30-Jul-13 16:18:58

How is everyone? Hope that horrible witch AF hasn't ruined anyone's day.

I am due today. No cramps, just a weird very slight ache. Or is there? Or am I just being mental?

Not sure if to test, or face yet more disappointment at BFN tomorrow.

This is such pants!

Sozzers for the mini rant grin

frogchops Tue 30-Jul-13 18:26:17

I'm sure I read it here but if not I apologise for this random info!

You can buy flipz in tesco ;) saw them with my own eyes!

DulcetMoans Tue 30-Jul-13 18:58:56

You did read it here frog. Flipz - yay!

Glad dr took you seriously downstairs, an understanding doctor goes a long way to helping I think. My dr is a bit dismissive. Only seen her four times over five years but she always makes me feel silly!

DownstairsMixUp Tue 30-Jul-13 19:24:03

Yumyum, i know what i'll be treating myself to this weekend, thanks frogchops!

Yes dulcet my last doctor was a bit of a moron, had no time to listen and just seemed to dish out penicillin for anything to get rid of you! Hopefully i get some answers soon!

pizzaqueen Tue 30-Jul-13 19:36:17

my doctor is a complete moron. I must change doctors soon, is it easy to do?

when my ds was ten months old he was very poorly and covered in a rash so I took him to docs (as you do) he looked at him and said dismissively 'yes its measles, cant do anything for it, take him home and wait for it to get better' we were in his room three mins!! fair enough he can't do anythings for it but no advice on what to do if it gets worse etc. scared first time parents, measles can be very serious.

but a few weeks ago really took the biscuit, two days post miscarriage I went to ask for a letter for work and he said 'why are you bothering me with this the hospital should have given you one' sad and sighed and wrote me a sick line and said to ho the hospital with any preg issues not him.

so I really don't want to go to him again especially anything ttc related I just don't think it'll be taken seriously.

Curly86 Tue 30-Jul-13 19:38:21

dulcet I know what you mean about relation with 7 kids, my SIL is now pregnant with baby no 5! She pops them out willy nilly every 18months :-/ however have made myself feel better by convincing myself they will only end up on a Channel 4 documentary!

The 19 yr old girl at work also has now flaunted her fertility today by announcing she's pregnant accidentally while on the pill :-( which was followed up by everyone else in the office saying oh and we thought it woul be you next!

Therefore I am joining the pity party with a LARGE glass of wine and a box of coco pops! And I'm not even using a bowl just a spoon in the box

clareyfarey Tue 30-Jul-13 19:50:51

My next door neighbour is 27, and is expecting number 5! She seems to sneeze and get up the spout.

A close friend of mine had a baby last Sunday, and she had no idea she was pregnant, until she went to hospital with stomach cramps!

DownstairsMixUp Tue 30-Jul-13 19:54:27

pizzaqueen Your doctor sounds like my old one! It is easy to change, have you still got your NHS card? If not ask the receptionist for your NHS number and go to your new doctors, fill out a form and it's done. That's how i changed anyway. When i had my first appt at my new docs they didn't have my new notes yet but wasn't too much of a hardship really. You usually get a letter in the post listing your new GP's details after you've done it.

curly GR the ones that just "oopsy fell pregnant on the pill" make me a green eyed monster! I know it is not their fault but it is really annoying! Oh i've been pigging out on crap all day. Felt sorry for myself so had a chocolate croissant and coffee for breakfast, spag bol for tea with a eclair after and been snacking on chocolate. Pity party for one!!

pizzaqueen Tue 30-Jul-13 20:16:05

thanks downstairs I will change gp. he's not that old, late thirties maybe, just an insensitive arse.

and I was one of those annoying 'oops pregnant on the pill' people with ds. I was 21 and in my final year of uniblush only saving grace was I'd been with dp for nearly 5 years. but second time round its not been such an easy road for us. now we have the mortgage, job, cars, degree and living sensible lives it's not happening quite so easily.hmm funny think our reproductive systems!

Curly86 Tue 30-Jul-13 20:19:29

downstairs I had the greeneyed monster BIG time and then felt guilty as I heard myself wishing her baby to be really ugly! However it won't be because she's gorgeous and I can already tell she will be back in her size 6 jeans hours after giving birth envy

clareyfarey my SIL has already vowed to keep going until she gets a girl! How greedy!

frogchops Tue 30-Jul-13 20:22:26

Flipz are in the 'world food' bit wink
New girl at work said today tht she didn't find out she was upduffe til 32 weeks. I'm 32 weeks and massive and puffy and moany.... How the hell she did that I'll never know!

ChocChaffinch Tue 30-Jul-13 20:23:55

yy peanuts now OK

the UK realised that avoiding peanuts during pg = loads babies with peanut intolerance

then they looked at many European countries, ie Turkey, where pregnant mums eat peanuts and very few babies have a peanut allergy

so now they say no rare steak? is medium rare OK?

Curly86 Tue 30-Jul-13 20:25:09

pizza it's just luck of the draw I guess I'm pleased for her and oops pregnant on the pill is not bad at all she's been with her partner ages too so guess its meant to be when it happens like that :-)

Alohomora Tue 30-Jul-13 22:09:34

curly Do you pour the wine over the Coco Pops? BTW, statistically you're more likely to continue having boys after no. 3 so she might end up with a football team and still no girls!

Oooh, didn't know you could get Flipz in the UK! Sometimes the Polish isles has things that I miss from German supermarkets, though.

When my mom was being induced with me she was put on the ward and given pate for dinner. Didn't get to enjoy it for long, labour started with a vengeance when all the moms on the ward got their babies for the evening feed (it came all back up).

fifi669 Tue 30-Jul-13 22:50:28

choc you can't have medium rare either. Everything has to be properly cooked, no runny yolks etc. pretty sure it's been that way for donkeys

Alohomora Tue 30-Jul-13 23:14:29

Oh, and I'm pretty sure you can ask to be tested for listeria, and if you have antibodies you are free to enjoy rare steak and blue cheese for as long and as much as you want.

Good blog on the subject

Nessalina Wed 31-Jul-13 00:59:37

Hello you lot smile Bad luck on the ERTD arriving Essie & Downstairs - sorry if I missed others, just did a quick scan!
I'm having husband-related rage - it's the most fertile point of the month and he 'just doesn't feel like it tonite'. confused Well, quite frankly, that's not flippin' good enough!! I think this may be karma for using contraband... Honestly, I pee on this stupid little sticks twice a day for a week, but a positive's no good without the addition of sperm is it?! goes to throw the OPKs down the toilet and get back to just shagging hmm

DulcetMoans Wed 31-Jul-13 07:36:34

Oh nessa, think we have all been there. Sometimes even with tears! I try tell myself I need happy sperms so he needs to be happy but it doesn't really work. I don't want to do it all the time either but we have to in order to get what we want!

Most of that side of my family belong on a channel 4 documentary curly, or Jeremy Kyle! They obviously got all the fertility though!

Still waiting here... Two days late...

lil1ady Wed 31-Jul-13 07:58:36

not due ertd til Saturday but caved and piapc this morning. BFN sad

cookielove Wed 31-Jul-13 07:59:38

dulcet when you testing?

DownstairsMixUp Wed 31-Jul-13 08:11:10

Nessalina That's quite funny and don't worry we have all been there! Last month i just knew I was ovulating, you know the signs, EWCM etc etc and he just rejected my advances! So annoying! Maybe bribe him with something else for it?! grin

DulcetMoans When are you going to test? It should show up by now if you're late surely?

lillady Sorry about your BFN :-( But while AF is still not around there is still every chance!

Choc I'm not entirely sure re: the steak thing. I'm going to sound terrible as I did have medium steak out a few times when I was preggno with lo number 1 blush i never went near eggs though or liver as i heard both were really bad during pregnancy!

I'm not sure what's going on with my AF at the mo, i've either had a short period (happens sometimes) or it's going to do that evil thing where I think I'm done and i feel a trickle when i'm out somewhere blush damn thing go away for good so i can start BDING!

Curly86 Wed 31-Jul-13 08:18:01

aloho can't poor the wine over the coco pops that would be yucky! It 2 big spoons of dry coco pops followed by 2 big gulps of vino :-)

nessa I feel you, OH has attempted something similar this month pretending to be asleep, guess its karma for me for all those years I claimed to have a headache!

dulcet you right about not wanting to do it all the time, its been too bloody hot the last couple of weeks sometimes can't help but think just hurry up and finish already! Then I can do a handstand and you can leave me alone for abit!

EssieSaysRelax Wed 31-Jul-13 08:56:05

Omg, I LOVE cocopops, even the sainos/tesco own brand ones are lush. I buy them as a treat and DH tells me off then I see him tucking into them. grin

It's DHs birthday this week, and ertd is still here so we are both tucking into the wine a fair bit, feel a bit hungover this morning! Ooops.

I postponed the foof check appointment, bottled out, I couldn't face someone prodding about down there with ertd in attendance even though they said it was fine.

So can your literal phase change? Or does it always stay the same? In the last few cycles I've worked mine out to be 10 days, then 14 days, then 18 days, so either I'm a freak yes or I can't count also a possiblity.

Minion Wed 31-Jul-13 09:00:34

So off. Trot to wok las night ands I'm standing at the door smiling through gritted teeth I come over al nauseous and proceed to revisit everything id had to eat for the previous 12 hours. Which is weird as I didn't feel unwell just odd. But it was very hot on the aircraft on the ground..
Still no PMS and If I'm on a average of a30 day cycle, due today or im late...
Stil have a flight to do tonight so who knows....

Alohomora Wed 31-Jul-13 09:13:46

minion I hope you're feeling better, trundling up and down an airplane isle in this heat while feeling sick is in at least my fifth circle of hell.

Having brekkie outside work in the car, I feel really queasy, too, weird backaches and I might have to entertain a dozen toddlers at work in an hour, don't feel really up for it.

Symptom spotting is crap, you keep in looking for twinges and if you don't get a bfp all you've done is you've made yourself miserable.

PrincessKitKat Wed 31-Jul-13 09:18:38

Good morning viroids. Well I couldn't wait til Friday to POAS...
And I got my BFP smile it's a bit faint (12dpo), but it's definitely there.

Crikey. But what do i do now?
Do I tell DH now or wait til he gets home? Can I tell my 5-weeks pregnant friend or should i tell DH first? I'm bursting! What would you do?

I need a drink (But will not have one).

Minion Wed 31-Jul-13 09:24:43

Congratulations, our first BFP on the new Fred!
So go on, mandatory requirements are how'd you feel? What symptoms etc?
Yay, Wonderful news x

DulcetMoans Wed 31-Jul-13 09:28:07

Yay! A BFP! Congrats kitkat.

I did test this morning and BFN but I think that was enough to tempt the witch out. Think I'm out viroids. Again. Sigh. But we tried so hard!

Alohomora Wed 31-Jul-13 09:29:02

kitkat that's fantastic, congratulations!

I'd send my OH a loving ema which artfully expresses my upduffedness via cat makros, but we're a special case. grin

PrincessKitKat Wed 31-Jul-13 09:39:42

Ar, thanks ladies.
I confess, I used a cheaply OPK and started shagging as soon as a pale line appeared.
I had these symptoms:
- three days after icing I had weird pink CM which I'd never had before
- had mild cramps 7 days after icing
- noticeable boob pain also started about 7 days and just continued hmm

And that was it - I was fairly convinced I wasn't upduffed.

Everything crossed now. And everything crossed for all the lovely JSers on here too - I want us all to have a month of BFPs thanks

EssieSaysRelax Wed 31-Jul-13 09:51:24

Yay KitKat! Well done! first upduffer on the new fred too. Congrats. Let us know how you decide to tell DH! xx

fifi669 Wed 31-Jul-13 10:20:00

Kitkat has done a kitten, how apt! Congratulations!

PrincessKitKat Wed 31-Jul-13 10:24:12

I didn't manage a kitten fifi! It's taken a few attempts wink

ZingWidge Wed 31-Jul-13 10:27:37

congrats kitkat !thanks

kitkat congrats! Woohoo!

essie nice to see you all too, I am keeping fine, hating the heatwave, but otherwise okay. Am def going to lurk on this Fred, I think it's another lucky one... fxfxfxfxfxfx for you all.

Alohomora Wed 31-Jul-13 11:48:29

Colleague just tried to bully me into doing a test because I said I'm feeling queasy, nosy people are nosy! Think I'll have a go in the weekend despite being quite sure nothing happened this month.

Can someone turn this heat off?

Alohomora Wed 31-Jul-13 12:02:52

I am really sorry, I am incapable of typing on on this phone when rushing! blush

pizzaqueen Wed 31-Jul-13 12:32:04

Congratulations kitkat flowers

Minion Wed 31-Jul-13 15:32:34

Up in the words of Duncan Bannatyne 'I'm out'
It's here and she's making herself known. Really thought this month something was different. Guess not, just a different set of PMS symptoms. when will my body just settle the frick down?

EssieSaysRelax Wed 31-Jul-13 16:00:56

oh minion, I'm sorry. Come to the party, we have a wave machine in the pity pool now.

GreatScott1 Wed 31-Jul-13 16:19:12

Congrats kitkat 1st one of the thread! Fx it's the start of another lucky thread!

Everyone - Do people in RL know you are ttc?

We decided to keep it to ourselves but am finding it increasingly difficult to fend of the nosy rosies! What do you say to all the questions? When are you going to have a baby? What are you waiting for? I'm bloody trying

One of my friends announced she was 3 months pregnant today, I felt a bit gutted jealous (she didn't think it would happen so quick etc) but have given myself a kick up the arse coz I know I should be happy for her!

EssieSaysRelax Wed 31-Jul-13 16:24:57

Hi great, only one of my friends knows, and only because she is ttc#2 and struggling (got up duff with no1 on her honeymoon!). I can't cope with anyone else knowing and DH is even less likely to want to discuss it than me. I get annoyed with want to punch the nosey people and I just tell them we're not ready and too busy enjoying ourselves because having kids looks like hard work. That usually shuts them up! I do find it hard though and one day I will probably snap at someone and tell them to fook off. I don't think you are alone in getting envy at friends upduff announcements.

fifi669 Wed 31-Jul-13 16:26:33

I am the worst secret keeper in the world (of my own anyway), so everyone knew we were going to TTC before we even started! My sisters tend to ask alot if i'm upduffed yet but everyone else doesn't mention it... well not much.

My bestie is pregnant, she TTC for a year with her first and had a tough time with all our group getting pregnant around her so i'm genuinely happy she was caught so quick this time.

Essie Can you save me a spot in the pity pool? She's not here yet...but i can feel the witch breathing down my neck :-( I'll bring biscuits....

EssieSaysRelax Wed 31-Jul-13 16:45:40

Can you bring rich tea so we can sandwich them together with butter? Nom nom nom.

It's good to hear a friend who struggled to get up duff first time round got there quickly second time.

pizzaqueen Wed 31-Jul-13 16:53:50

we didn't want to tell anyone we were ttc but when I had miscarriage last month I had to tell work as I had some complications and family and close friends knew I was pg so now it feels like the whole world know s we're trying. hmm I don't like tgem knowing it feels like even more pressure to get upduffed.

on another ttc note - what does ovulation pain feel like? and can you ovulate without ewcm? I had one sharp twinge on one side tonight as I was getting on the train. Is ov pain more constant?

Alohomora Wed 31-Jul-13 17:59:53

I've told people we are planning a family at some point but that there is absolutely no rush. Ever since we got married in February I've had my nosy colleagues all over me every time I am feeling sick. I love them dearly but sheesh!

lil1ady Wed 31-Jul-13 18:08:28

I told three close friends as I originally stopped drinking completely when we started TTC that didn't last long and I knew they'd assume I was upduffed. I usually say I'm too busy enjoying having money and going on holidays to have kids yet. my mum is the worst and I know she'd only be more of a nightmare IG she knew we were TTC.

on another note when I got in the car tonight, dh had his phone connected to play his music through the car and whatever song was playing had some tag that put "t.t.c." on the dash display. I can't escape!

GreatScott1 Wed 31-Jul-13 18:11:11

I don't want people to know because I think then I will get even more people asking even more questions! But maybe if I tell them it will shut them up?!?! I don't mind when it's my best mates (I think they secretly know!) but its when its people who just want the gossip it drives me mad! For the last year we have said, we are just enjoying being married before we think about kids, but now we have had our 1 year anniversary they have all started again! Why can't people mind their own business!?

I don't think I get ovulation pains so can't be much help sorry! From the little I've read, it's a shortish, one sided pain so could be? Get your cape on pizza (what does yours look like this month)

lil1ady Wed 31-Jul-13 18:12:05

pizza ov pain is different for everyone and no definitive evidence on what causes it. some ppl get it before others during some after. I tend to get twinges on and off leading up to ov then they get sharper as I ov then die down again and stop a little bit after ov. not everyone gets ewcm either. it can be watery which is just as good. some ppl just don't get as much so don't notice it unless they go looking for it! I consider myself lucky cos I get loads of ewcm right up until I ov.

pizzaqueen Wed 31-Jul-13 18:36:36

thanks scott and lil1ady yes watery (tmi!) but no ewcm. DP doesn't finish work til 11pm and I've been up since 6am so I'm not sure whether its worth staying up late to get the cape on contraband showing very faint line. He's working every night this week so we won't manage a few nights in a row. Don't want to miss the window though. Gah!

DownstairsMixUp Wed 31-Jul-13 18:55:16

essie everyone seems to say it should stay the same but i am skeptical about that. Surely luteal phases can be effected by birth control or any sort of hormonal interference?!

Minion Sorry about AF, I literally finished mine yesterday to, shit isn't it? sad

Alohomora Tell me about it! I was getting all excited when I got that bit of brown CM (sorry if tmi) for it to turn out just to be bleedin witch! What a cowbag! I think you can just drive yourself crazy symptom spotting! Def hold off to the weekend as well, apparentely HCG levels double every day so if you are, hopefully it will be a strong BFP!

PrincessKitKat Congrats on your BFP! Def tell your OH smile What lovely news!

Dulcet Sorry about the BFN sad But untill the witch arrivers... you never know!

pizzaqueen I don't usually get cramps when i ov personally, just lots of wet CM.

My period finished today! Was a short one, only 3 days so that's quite nice! Gotta start keeping my eyes open now for the tell tale watery CM so i'm officially back to trying :D

cookielove Wed 31-Jul-13 18:57:18

Congratulations, KitKat grin

Info for all those ladies who are using contraband wink
Someone on here wisely told me that the the lines have to match for it to mean your are icing!!

Right who's next for there BFP's??

DulcetMoans Wed 31-Jul-13 19:12:56

Make room in that pity pool viroids, I'm going for a cannon ball! I'm well and truly out and suffering. I feel a full on sulk coming on too. As gifts for the group I have brought coca cola and cinema sweet popcorn. It's one of my fave combinations.

ZingWidge Wed 31-Jul-13 19:34:50

essie if the luteal phase is shorter than 2 weeks it means that the lining of the uterus doesn't get thick enough.
It's very "sensitively" named luteal phase defect
and can be caused by polycystic ovaries, endometriosis, thyroid problems and even ED.
there's hormone treatments available to counteract the problem.

it can

ZingWidge Wed 31-Jul-13 19:38:29

it can be corrected easily by over the counter or prescription drugs or by taking B6 vitamin supplements.

ChocChaffinch Wed 31-Jul-13 20:25:32

congrats kitkat lovely news.

Happy shagging the rest of you lovely viroids!

AuntieMaggie Wed 31-Jul-13 20:42:25

Congratulations Kitkat smile

I'm sorry for those with BFN or ERTD.

I definitely think my bleeding is now ERTD... its lighter than my normal periods and I've had no other symptoms I normally have but it can't really be anything else can it?

If it is then my cycle was short too (I think!) downstairs but I need an idiots guide to what this all means and what should be happening... off to find out on the internet!

PrincessKitKat Thu 01-Aug-13 08:13:23

I had a weirdly short period last time. Its as if your body senses you're trying to do something and purposely begins acting up & testing your patience (practice for DCs maybe?!). Also i didn't got a proper line on an OPK, just a couple of fairly faint ones?

Thank you so much for the lovely congrats viroids. DH was very happy but in slight shock - it turns out he thought he might not be able to have kids because 'one ball is much smaller than the other'!! I never noticed!! Poor PrinceKK and his tiny testicle! arf!

DownstairsMixUp Thu 01-Aug-13 09:27:38

I've no idea Auntie my period this month never turned bright red like it usually does, it just stayed brown, i only used a tampon once and it hurt pulling out (sorry if tmi!) because it was so dry! It was def an unusual period but combining the short luteal phase it's a bit of a worry!

Aww bless your other half PrincessKitKat and his small ball worries lmao, men come out with some right lines sometimes!

EssieSaysRelax Thu 01-Aug-13 09:38:27

Hi everyone.

Pinch punch first of the month etc.

ERTD vacating the premisis here so I'll be getting my new pimped up cape on soon.

Re the literal phase thing. I've only been half paying attention to mine because my contraband useage is sporadic. So this cycle I am going to pay proper attention <must focus on task in hand and not get distracted> and try and work out how long it is as I have no idea! It could be anything from 10-18 days?!

Sorry to everyone else with ERTD, BFN and LPD (literal phase defects - no, not a very sensitive name is it? does it mean anyone with a literal phase that isn't 14 days is 'defective'? That'll be most of us then).

Nearly the weekend viroids! grin We are having a bbq tonight cos its DHs Bday.

clareyfarey Thu 01-Aug-13 09:47:45

Morning ladies, hope everyone is all good smile

Congrats KitKat! Xxx

No AF yet, 2 days late but could just be another 35 days cycle ...... Cheers for those Mother Nature!

EssieSaysRelax Thu 01-Aug-13 09:48:28

Downstairs that does sound a bit strange, I have found since coming off the pill that my periods are really inconsistent, both in arrival time, and then in amount of pain and flow as well. I had one which lasted 1 day, and then the next cycle it lasted 5 days. Weirdness.

DownstairsMixUp Thu 01-Aug-13 09:53:06

Have a nice bbq essie glad to hear AF has been evicted for you to! Yes it was odd, though to be fair, the last few I've had have all been fine, just had short luteal phases! Maybe I've just been stressing myself out!

ZingWidge Thu 01-Aug-13 10:16:45

essie My logic is that a longer luteal phase would not be a problem as that would mean that the lining has more time to grow and get thicker. and therefore more accommodating. does that make sense?

it's the less than 14 days that can cause the problems.

I think taking B6 vitamin is probably a good idea and easy to do, according to Dr Google.

ZingWidge Thu 01-Aug-13 10:20:02

btw I'm not ignoring everyone else!

I'm still here to cheer you all on!
also hugs to those who need it!thanks

DulcetMoans Thu 01-Aug-13 10:24:47

It's August meaning I can officially say I get married this month. Which is mental!

Having awful ERTD to take my mind off that though. Proper painful, luck punishment for being hopeful! Lol.

Alohomora Thu 01-Aug-13 10:49:44

-I've- -bought- -some- -contraband-

I had EWCM mucus and pains I normally have during OV, but I should've OVed ages ago. Frustrated!

pizzaqueen Thu 01-Aug-13 11:15:57

I'm at softplay with my ds just just now, there's only him and an older boy here, the older boy was telling him about his sister. My ds replied 'me getting a sister but not in mummy's tumny yet, maybe later.' blush the boys grandad is trying to stifle a laugh. Sad times when even your two year old knows your ttc!!wine

EssieSaysRelax Thu 01-Aug-13 11:36:40

Oh pizza, thats so cute. Bless him.

Dulcet, sorry to hear you are in pain.

Aloho, sorry you are also in the screwed up icing club.

brew and biscuit for everyone. x

fifi669 Thu 01-Aug-13 13:44:00

aloho I'm not completely out this month though the signs are there and have also purchased contraband for use this coming month not that I know what I'm doing really

EssieSaysRelax Thu 01-Aug-13 16:36:47

DH just emailed me to say he is going to be away with work again in 2 weeks, according to my app this is The Week We Need To Shag. FFS. This never going to happen! Out of the 8 cycles so far 5 of them have involved us not actually being together at the right time, 1 of them he had a groin strain and was crippled, and the others I didn't know wtf I was up to and hadn't learned about jsing, literal phases, EWCM and all the other jizz jazz. <wails dramatically>

Curly86 Thu 01-Aug-13 17:27:32

TMI alert - I have EWCM and have phoned OH to say there is an emergency at home and he needs to leave work now!
Hoping there could still be time for me this month, however it could all be a nasty trick like it was earlier in the month! Hopefully these 50day cycles may cut down! So at least I have more bloody chances at it! Sod's law that this weekend is going to be the good time for baby making were going to stay at a friends! Just have to be naughty and sneak off and do it in the car needs must an all that blush

pizzaqueen Thu 01-Aug-13 19:59:42

looks like its time for some ofvus to get our capes on!

I had pains in ovary area yesterday and wet cm past couple of days, does this mean I'm ov now or next few days? I really had to persaude dp to dtd last night at 11:30pm when he finished work, it'll be pretty hard impossible to persaude him tonight. Will we have missed the window by tomorrow night or saturday? Argh!

Curly86 Thu 01-Aug-13 20:06:16

I think when it's clear watery and abit slimey is the best time; on the plus side pizza if you dtd last night the spermicles can live for a couple of days and wait for an egg so it's not all bad, apparently if you want a girl your best to do it the early part/before Ov and dtd on the best day for a boy?

pizzaqueen Thu 01-Aug-13 20:19:04

curly its clear but not slimey (way tmi sorry!) so im wondering whether ov is right now or just approaching, if its aporoaching we can afford to wait til tomorrow. Otherwise I need to hope last night's are hanging in there swimming around waiting to meet their egg!

DownstairsMixUp Thu 01-Aug-13 20:19:35

Dulcet Sorry about your rubbishy period! :-( It's nearly friday, have an early alcoholic beverage ;o)

fifi when are you going to test? What sort of signs are you having for AF then?

Essie Sorry your other half is going away, that really does suck :-(

pizzaqueen I think wet slippery CM is the fertile stuff, i had loads of that, i felt constantly wet and that was when i had my positive contraband :P

Nothing exciting happening for me i'm afraid, obv i finishe period yesterday so not expecting to ovulate anytime soon which sucks. Feel like it's just a waiting game now for next fertile time. On the plus side, i'm glad i'm not oving tonight as it is immesly hot here still! Don't think i have the energy to BD!

fifi669 Thu 01-Aug-13 20:36:49

Downstairs I tested Monday (too soon), yesterday and today, all BFN, my app says I'm due Sunday. I've had a low stomach ache for days though and i'm being a stresshead. Would like to think it's only because I really want to be pregnant and i'm overthinking.... but pretty sure it's PMT

DownstairsMixUp Thu 01-Aug-13 21:30:05

Well you never know fifi! Some womens bodies take longer with implantation etc. Why not tell yourself no more testing till say monday?

fifi669 Thu 01-Aug-13 21:49:34

She's here sad

Stupid body.... Oh well I can have a few beers this weekend now at my nephews christening, silver lining?

Start the whole charade again soon with first use of contraband

AQuarkTooFar Thu 01-Aug-13 21:54:49

Woohoo shag cape will be flying in the quark household tonight! I'm feeling a but wet down there and had positive contraband! The wine is on the go too!

Congrats kitkat!

Sorry to hear some of you are having rubbish ertds. Fingers crossed they disappear soon!

AQuarkTooFar Thu 01-Aug-13 21:56:31

Cross posted with you there fifi sorry to hear ERTD got you. sad

Hooray for beers at the christening though!

ChocChaffinch Thu 01-Aug-13 22:18:28

go for it quarky grin

EssieSaysRelax Thu 01-Aug-13 22:34:46

Happy shagging quark!

I've drunk too much champers. It's dhs bday though. grin

Night night viroids

Wheredidmyyouthgo Thu 01-Aug-13 23:12:20

Hi Viroids,

I've been lurking on this thread for a few weeks now, and am officially twotting. Month 1.

I have DD 3.5, and TTC #2.

Am maybe 4dpo, but that's a guess. 26/27 day cycle. Am becoming crazily preoccupied with symptom spotting. Ridic, I know!

AQuarkTooFar Thu 01-Aug-13 23:39:19

Hi where welcome to the thread!

Ok everyone I am getting stupidly over excited here and Dh thinks I am a weirdo! Ok tmi alert but defo had watery pant snot today, got a positive on an opk this afternoon so I jumped on Dh. I swear I felt ov pains whilst JSing and then half way through the Boob's new song came on the radio! It's got to be a sign! I am going to be hideously disappointed if this is not our month!

fifi669 Thu 01-Aug-13 23:40:54

where it's not ridiculous, we're all doing it!

lil1ady Thu 01-Aug-13 23:58:55

I am officially out. not sulking this month though as I was expecting it after dh letting me down with not being in the mood at the right time. I'm considering handing responsibility for my cycle to him this month. he decided on contraband he decides on when to DTD. he decides when to test. what do you think?

sorry for those also getting the witch visit again.

quark you have surely done it if the boob came on! fx!

Alohomora Fri 02-Aug-13 00:03:53

Hope everybody had/is in the middle of a good shagging session!

Had a good talk with my DH tonight, so at least we're a bit more on the same page, baby-wise - I was complaining about his complacency, he confessed that he was scared shitless, we had a good discussion, now let the shagging commence!

ERTD hasn't shown up yet, my body seems to be determined to stick to a stupid 36 day cycle!

cookielove Fri 02-Aug-13 08:31:29

lil that sounds like a good idea. Do you think he would?

Hello where (love the name)

Hope ertd clears off for those stuvk in her clutches soon! !

Hello everyone smile

EssieSaysRelax Fri 02-Aug-13 08:59:02

Hi cookie, how's things?

Welcome where, sorry to hear you are twotting, we've got hooyas if you need them!

quark fx, now you've been boobed then a bfp ought to be a certainty surely?

Aloho, we had that chat last cycle too when I lost the plot a bit when we missed icing time again. Hope you feel better about it all now. It's easy to forget to talk about it, I find it quite difficult talking to him about the various happenings in my body! Lil, I like that idea and may have to try it too, my DH is a spreadsheet junkie, so perhaps he can whip up some formulas and be in charge of it all for a bit too! I love not having to make decisions! On which note, I have to make someone redundant today and I hate myself for it and I've been awake for hours stressing about it. sad Bad times, but it has to be done.

PrincessKitKat Fri 02-Aug-13 08:59:44

Love it Lil - take the pressure off yourself for a month, put a bit more responsibility on your OH & see how you get on. My only issue would be that my DH only just about understands shagging so to throw cycles and ovving in the mix might lead to meltdown smile

Good luck Quark!

Alohomora Fri 02-Aug-13 10:27:41

lil, brilliant idea, DH's a mathematician/software engineer, he might feel more involved in what's going on with my bod this way.

I think I'm out for this month, ladies, POAS this morning and it was a bfn. The evil witch is still just lurking around the corner though, so I'm waiting for that and then I'll get my cape out again!

AQuarkTooFar Fri 02-Aug-13 10:47:46

lil I would say go for it re getting your Dh to do more.

Way back when we just js'd without intent I decided to go on the pill. Dh became incredibly lazy with his attitude re contraception and it was all up to me to re takin the pill. For some reason this really annoyed me so I came back off the pill and made Dh take responsibility for condoms. He was too embarrassed to even go in to a shop and buy them but he soon learned!

Viroids we shouldn't let our ohs get lazy about ttc! Lets give them out stres this month and let them deal with it!

AQuarkTooFar Fri 02-Aug-13 10:50:32

Whoops got a bit carried away there!

So I think that's me in the twot now. I'm off to the symptom spotting cave with the unicorn and some chocolate popcorn cause I don't like them choc pretzels you speak of!

You will find me stroking the unicorn if anyone needs me!

clareyfarey Fri 02-Aug-13 11:42:56

AF here with a vengeance! hmm Am at work so can't even be sad, will have to wait til tonight and eat crap, and drink lots of wine.

Ah well, can't say I'm surprised, this diffing lark isn't as easy as it looks!

Happy Friday to you all grin

AQuarkTooFar Fri 02-Aug-13 15:23:09

Ah that's sucks clarey. flowers for now wine for later.

Happy Friday to you too!

essie how did everything go at work? Was it as crap as expected? wine for you too.

pizzaqueen Fri 02-Aug-13 16:50:42

ah sorry to those who af has got tjis month. hope it passes quick and you can get your capes back on.

All the signs are there that I'm icing, cm etc postive contraband too we dtd last night, should I try again tonight or wait until tomorrow when dp will be more amenablewink should I tell him I'm ov? im worried it might freak him out and he'll get stage fright hmm .

lil1ady Fri 02-Aug-13 17:05:52

pizza u could try tempt him tonight and if no luck force him tomorrow!

well I mentioned dh taking a bit more charge and he got sulky. I'm not going to bother this month though. its his turn. if he wants a baby he can damn well try and make it happen for a change! then when we DTD all month and AF shows up to disappoint him I will be able to say I told you so and maybe then he will understand. I have too much going on at work to be dressing about TTC as well.

on the plus side though I seem to be back to my pre pill days of very little cramping throughout AF. thank god for that!

Essie hope the redundancy talk wasn't too awful. here wine thanks

good luck to the twotters. I like the sound of chic pop corn!

off to design a new cape for when the control freak I really am can't live with dh doing nothing for the ttc cause for a month

Curly86 Fri 02-Aug-13 17:16:41

Good luck pizza it's Friday night I'm sure you can tempt your dp into a little something! But I agree if it doesn't work force him tomorrow, or threaten if he doesn't do it tonight he has to do it twice tomorrow?

My cape is off on the floor and has been trampled! Yesterday had EWCM dtd and today I'm dry as a bone (tmi) and have period pains :-/ ERTD must be imminent although on the plus side means I will have had a 28 day cycle! -don't get hopes up as body does what it bloody wants-

pizzaqueen Fri 02-Aug-13 17:54:24

ah ok so I told him it was peak baby making time and he's got all pissed off with me for complicating things sad he jusy doesn't get thay window of opportunity he seems to think anytime you shag you can get preggers. gah! hes working til 11 anyway.

Curly86 Fri 02-Aug-13 19:30:08

How frustrating, hopefully last nights rumpy has done the trick; men are funny it's not complicating it; it's making it easier if anything, saves having to have non baby-making sex all month :-) my OH now stays out of our en suite as the OPK, prenatal vitamins, wee pots and various other naughty contraband frighten him, he says its over thinking and scaring nature! I think he's doesn't like the I'd of a wee stick in the same room as his toothbrush! wine for pizza

fifi669 Fri 02-Aug-13 20:55:32

I may have ERTD but work have asked me to work extra days, I've opted for just one more per week and negotiated a 2k full time equivalent pay increase! Winner!

lil1ady Fri 02-Aug-13 22:41:12

congrats on the rise Fifi excellent news!

oh pizza men are just so clueless! have you had a proper talk with him? could he still be grieving a bit over the mc?

curly the mental image I have of your en suite which in the picture in my head is my mums en suite cos I don't have one has made me chuckle. as for scaring nature, pah! we're not scaring it, we're coaxing it out!grin

Wheredidmyyouthgo Fri 02-Aug-13 23:02:54

Thank you for the welcome, hope all are having a relaxing night tonight!

I know this is ridiculous as I'm only (about) 5dpo, but my boobs feels stingy. As of last night. And they never feel sore / stingy. I think I'm being daft. In fact I'm sure I am. Someone slap me?!

Redshoes56 Sat 03-Aug-13 01:51:25

Hi ladies! I had so much to do when I got back from my business trip. Just now settling in. I won't pretend to catch up on everything. ERTD has come and gone so, new month, new cape! (This one is a naughty schoolgirl theme, I have decided, since my DH just started his masters program.) Happy weekend, all.

Curly86 Sat 03-Aug-13 07:38:43

lil the en suite resembles a science lab I will be honest I'm thinking of getting one o those yellow hazard bins the hospital have just to finish it off

cookielove Sat 03-Aug-13 08:21:59

essie hello hello hello life is good. Well for me at least. Dh had caught my work sickness bug. Urgh were meant to be given away tomorrow !!

DownstairsMixUp Sat 03-Aug-13 10:19:35

Pizzaqueen How did tempting the OH go? ;-) And my OH is the same, he doesn't understand the timing of getting a baby, just thinks shagging at anyo I#ll get pregnant whenever hmmwhole month so I#ll get pregnant whenever hmm

Curly86 Have you had AF now? Mine's been a bit sporadic this month :S Very confusing!

Congrats on the news fifi that's excellent!

Hi redshoes glad you have your cape back on, maybe this month will be it smile

And have a great weekend all of you! smile Maybe one of you will get your BFP?!

My body is still playing up! That weird 3 day brown spotting i had went away for two days, yesterday i was in the bath and had a little more hmm i think maybe i was just spotting for a "true" period and i reckon knowing my luck I'll come on full flow in the middle of work or something so i've got my handbag nicely stacked just "incase"

I've also started taking vitamin b6 so FX! smile

pizzaqueen Sat 03-Aug-13 11:30:59

I have everything x for you downstairs weird spotting could be implantation?

tempting dp didn't work last night, we had a bit of an arguement about me putting too much pressure on things / him not being serious enough about it and I was too upset with him to even contemplate dtd and pretended to be asleep when he got home. Maybe wed/thurs sperms will make it, although I don't hold much hope...its wait and see time now. fed up with this whole thing already, all the waiting and its only cycle 1!!

Curly86 Sat 03-Aug-13 15:33:28

downstairs no ERTD, all pain has gone, some CM but not loads, think it will be another 50 day cycle, have agreed with OH that we should try to Dtd at least every other day for next 2 weeks as I'm thinking I should ovulate at some point as on 50day cycle AF is due 25th August, although am seriously doubting letting him father my children after he referred to me as a sperm whale, and a spunk bowzer! (Apparently a bowzer is a lorry that transports fuel?) OH thinks he is a comedian I think he's a prick

DownstairsMixUp Sat 03-Aug-13 16:35:28

No idea pizza :/ I did a preg test just to be sure this morning as I knew i was having a drink this evening and BFN so lawd knows, thinking it must be AF just being a bit of a weirdo this month! I know the feeling though, I'm already fed up to, just hate all the reading for signs then being positive about things only for it to be rubbish so big glass of wine for you! My oh just always looks really dissapointed when we get a BFN which makes me feel terrible. sad

Doing it every other day sounds a good plan Curly86 so in theory there should always be some sperm about around ovulation. Have you been using any whispers contraband? Sperm whale lmao! He should be happy he is getting regular sex at least! These men eh never happy!

Curly86 Sat 03-Aug-13 18:14:33

I started using OPKs and used them pretty much everyday for the first 3 weeks of my cycle all to be negative, have worked out if the theory of AF starts 14 days after OV then I should OV Tuesday, which doesn't explain the period pains I've had last couple of days, I'm checking my CM, hate peeing on any kind of stick to just get a neg result even The OPK makes me feel a failure! So JS for me, and OH should be more grateful although all romance has gone out of TE window and think he's feeling "used" hahaha

Redshoes56 Sat 03-Aug-13 18:19:03

curly laughing re: bowzer. They really should be grateful for all the extra loving, no? Men!!

Curly86 Sat 03-Aug-13 18:53:19

Tell me about it red I guess the sweet justice comes when I finally get a BFP and don't have to do it! Then he will be the spunk bowzer!

DownstairsMixUp Sat 03-Aug-13 20:47:58

You had all negative tests curly? out of curiosity when did you test? I heard using morning wee isn't good and you are meant to test in the afternoon?

ChocChaffinch Sat 03-Aug-13 21:17:37

is anyone doing the SMEP ? it worked for me smile

best of luck shaggers! go to it!

cookielove Sun 04-Aug-13 07:50:25

Smep also worked for me grin

(Google Sperm meets egg plan)

There's a pick on my profile of my one and only + opk that ledvme to getting up duffed if you wanna see what a + one looks like smile

lil1ady Sun 04-Aug-13 09:59:06

morning all

we were going to do smep last month but dh was hopeless.

hopefully trying it again this month. I've downloaded my app onto dh's phone and logged it all in so he can see when we r likely to have to get busy! I'm hoping if he feels more prepared it will happen!

funny that ppl are saying AF has been a short visit this month, cd3 here and she seems to be packing already i will probably regret saying that, maybe she's just changing cases I wonder if its the weather or something.

hope everyone has nice plans for the day. dinner at my mums tonight and my aunty no one likes will be there grrr

DownstairsMixUp Sun 04-Aug-13 10:29:45

I did a pregnancy test this morning and I got a faint line.... i am literally shell shocked. I was convinced that was my period the other day but i did an OPK last night which was weirdly strong so i was kind of like, right, that's not right surely? Only just finished my period and ovulating again so told myself I'll do one more preg test to be sure in the morning. And there is a faint line. I just don't want to get too excited till it turns darker, does that sound really silly?!

I'm just really shocked at the mo!

pizzaqueen Sun 04-Aug-13 10:48:48

oh downstairs how exciting!!! congratulations!!

go out and get a digital test. nlthing better than seeing it in words.

DownstairsMixUp Sun 04-Aug-13 10:51:04

I think im gonna wait till tomo morning and see if it getsstronger! Ive read to death about chemical pregnancies etc im too frightened to get my hopes up!!

cookielove Sun 04-Aug-13 11:00:54

Sounds positive downstairs fx for tomorrow! !

pizzaqueen Sun 04-Aug-13 11:07:32

have everything crossed for you downstairs report back tomorrow!

just googles smep and that's pretty much what we've done this cycle without knowing we were following a plan. Twotting here now.

dp changes his mind like the weather and said yesterday if I wasn't pg soonish he was using all our baby savings to get our drive extended. he was joking or so I flaming hope!

DulcetMoans Sun 04-Aug-13 12:21:28

Ooooo fx downstairs! Just whether you can hold out until the morning now!

I bought some seven seas TTC pills today, it's got the frolic and some B6 in it I think so maybe that will help? ERTD on the way out now, cape due to be unpacked tomorrow I think. It's lacy this month to match my wedding dress!

Alohomora Sun 04-Aug-13 12:25:12

downstairs hooray, I agree, go out and splurge on one of those early digital ones! I have everything crossed for you!

I had a really disturbing dream last night, we had a baby and I was breastfeeding and all but kept on forgetting to do stuff, but then it turned into our cocker spaniel when she was a small puppy and I said to my other half "this isn't really right, we should've waited until we had a proper baby.". shock Bah.

Redshoes56 Sun 04-Aug-13 15:46:20

That is exciting downstairs!! Keep us posted!

aloho that is disturbing but kind of funny. Our minds do terrible things to us in the night! Maybe the takeaway is you've been a great dog mom and that will help you when the baby comes?

I have this recurring dream where I'm working out of a different office with this extremely vast desk that I have to literally crawl across to reach simple things like pens, and paper. Stressed, much? Last night I also dreamt I was chasing a frog, trying to capture him in an old shoebox. What the hell does that mean?! LOL

lil I also had a short visit from AF this month - two and a half days or so. It's definitely been shorter since going off the pill, but that was exceptionally short!

PrincessKitKat Sun 04-Aug-13 16:28:54

How exciting Downstairs! A line is a line, but can't wait to see if you feel more reassured tomorrow!

Dulcet, I'm excited for you too! Weddings are the best. Are you ready or is there much left to do?

Curly86 Sun 04-Aug-13 16:41:50

downstairs how exciting a line is a line! I'm so pleased for you!

All my OPKs have been negative and I wee on them in the afternoon about 5pm when I get in from work, I think it's just my really long cycle, hoping I ovulate next weekend, OH is now working away for a few days

DownstairsMixUp Sun 04-Aug-13 17:29:37

Thank you cookie and all the others who have said congrats! Just hoping it's stronger tomorrow etc, i've scared myself silly with chemical pregnancy stories/evap lines etc etc! I'm going to use a cheapie tomorrow then hold out for a digital till wednesday just so i am 100% sure. I've heard HCG doubles daily so hoping that gives it enough time to be sure.

How far are you in the TWOT pizzaqueen? My oh reguarly jokes like that to and can never quite figure him out! :S

It's worth a go Dulcet I was reading a lot of positive stories about adding vitamin b6 and it successfully lengthing luteal phases!

Haha Alohomora weird dreams like that are always a bit "huh" i tend not to remember mine tho!

Two days is very short redshoes could it not be anything else? I know the pill does mess up your cycle but could be something more positive...

Thank you Princesskitkat I'm hoping it's darker tomorrow so i can stop saying "oh it's an evap line" or this and that, it doesn't feel good enough to admit it's happening yet!

Curly86 it's not unheard of though to have all negative OPKs and still have ovulated during your cycle? If you google it it seems it is quite common, maybe some women's level of the LH hormone just doesn't get high enough?? If you have been tracking your CM and having the tell tale signs i'm guessing surely you must be?

Curly86 Sun 04-Aug-13 17:41:47

I'm tracking the cm and I order a BBT thermometer; just hope I am ovulating and my hormone isn't strong enough like you say!

DownstairsMixUp Sun 04-Aug-13 17:58:12

Oh and ps all im away for a few days so wont be online! Im back thursday so ill be able to say then wether its good or bad news and have a mammoth catch up. Speak soon ladies x

PrincessKitKat Sun 04-Aug-13 19:14:01

Oh Downstairs.
The orange unicorn (does s/he have a name?!) does not like to be kept in suspense...!

DulcetMoans Sun 04-Aug-13 20:39:46

Thanks princess. It's getting there, cutting and sticking a lot this weekend and a but panic-y but I think it's ok overall.

How odd so many of you had short visits this month. Wonder if cycles will get aligned from hanging around here! Lol.

ChocChaffinch Sun 04-Aug-13 20:51:19

fingers x'd downstairs grin

Nessalina Sun 04-Aug-13 22:51:19

Hey viroids, been AWOL for a few days up at the Edinburgh Festival! smile
Really excited for you Downstairs, sounds veeeery good indeed!!! Fx for good news when you get back!
I'm in the TWOT right now, so all's quiet on the Ness front, but pretty sure we didn't DTD enough for a BFP hmm
FYI, those doing naughty OPKs, I used them this month and last much good it's doing me! and both months I got my surge on a late test, 10-11pm. I started doing twice a day, 5pm then bedtime, and I only got one positive each month which was on a late, the afternoon ones before & after it were quite a bit fainter. Worth trying different times a day to make sure you catch it. And then actually DTD not that I'm still annoyed with my DH or anything grrrr wink

AuntieMaggie Sun 04-Aug-13 23:07:43

I'm back after a social weekend and grumpy. After on/off light bleeding all week AF is well and truly here ffs. I have no idea what my body is doing. I just want to sit in bed and eat junk and get drunk...

Downstairs you tease... will keep fx.

Hope everyone is ok and has a good week ahead

pizzaqueen Mon 05-Aug-13 08:36:47

morning viriods. Is anyone on this thread not using contraband?

guilty of it myself

fifi669 Mon 05-Aug-13 09:53:58

pizza I have been JSing all this time bought contraband for this cycle, hoping it will help me identify signs of icing though we have regular sex throughout the month so not sure if there is any point in OPKs for us?

AuntieMaggie Mon 05-Aug-13 10:02:21

Me pizza - don't think I could cope with that at the mo!

Minion Mon 05-Aug-13 10:19:48

Morning shaggers!
Congrats downstairs I'm excited to see how it's all gone on when you come back.
pizza, I'm not using contraband per se, but am tracking using an app
fat lot of good it's done me tbh
ERTD has fooked off so now it's back to shag central when work loosen their reins on me a little. Night flights don't help bah!
Nowt new except the house move has moved on. Weve set up our survey so waiting to see of we are sinking every penny we have into a money pit or a home. Very exciting but makes me sick to the stomach every time I think of the fact I've been allowed to spend nearly a quarter of a million!

Just a q, girls.
Does anyone have this niggling doubt that you're infertile?
I'm really freKing out some times, I've never had a pg scare and its taking me an age to get upduffed considering I've had sex all at the right times,, very frustrating I know.
And I know there's ppl who've been trying a heck of a lot longer and still have no answers for their inability to conceive and there's no reason why I, or them could/are/may be infertile... It's just a niggling doubt... Anyone else?

EssieSaysRelax Mon 05-Aug-13 12:47:40

Hi viroids.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

Minion, yes. It's probably my biggest fear and one which I sometimes think I ought to prepare my head for incase it's a reality. Probably sounds like I'm being melodramatic, but I've always had this doubt that I'll ever have children. Having said that though, I'm going to give it a bloody good try for now and try and be optimistic. I guess with my history of cervical problems, plus my Mum's ultra early menopause, and several years house sharing with a friend who failed to conceive after 6 attempts at IVF and then her DH buggered off and left her, its probably no surprise it's a worry of mine, but I reckon anyone who doesn't do a kitten probably has the same anxiety. hmm If I'm not upduff by cycle 12 though I'm going straight to GP and not wasting any more precious time.

pizza, I ought to be using contraband as I keep telling myself I need to, but in truth, the few times I have, it hasn't made any different to when we shag or not, so no, generally I don't bother! I am committed to the JSing cause! (for now!)

quark and lil, the work thing on Fri was ok. Glad it was done. The person in question was understandably upset but did take it quite well. I still felt shit.

downstairs - AMAZING news! Can't wait for the update on Thurs!

I'm CD8, ERTD dragged out a bit but has been gone for a couple of days, but today I've got loads of blood stained EWCM. No shagging has occured since ERTD. Gawd knows whats going on with my body.

Love to all you other lovely shaggers.

Alohomora Mon 05-Aug-13 13:54:35

minion yes, totally - I had very early, regular like clockwork periods, but late teens/early twenties my periods stayed away for list if the year and twice a year I'd bleed so badly for ten days I couldn't leave the house. My doctor did frequent ultrasounds and my ovaries looked ok, and in the last 5-6 years my perios have been very regular hen not on Cerazette - bit there is a lingering doubt.

Hence doing one month of opks and charting just to make sure I am actually ovulating - then it's back to jsing for me!

Alohomora Mon 05-Aug-13 13:55:23

Sorry, that was just littered with spelling mistakes!

DulcetMoans Mon 05-Aug-13 14:13:19

Minion - I think the longer it takes the harder it is to not start considering that possibility. Same as essie though, I will keep optimistic and get help at the earliest reasonably opportunity. If there is a problem I don't want to leave it too late to find out!

Pizza - JSing here! Although I probably break the other rules. I do test too early and I do use period tracker but not just for TTC, for my own knowledge of what to expect!

EssieSaysRelax Mon 05-Aug-13 15:18:28

I've got cramps now too! On CD8? WTF?

AuntieMaggie Mon 05-Aug-13 15:41:07

Me as well minion. Infertility may be an issue for me because of pcos and other health issues, as may increased risk of mc. But staying hopeful at this point (except for this damn period - none of the usual cramps but I am bleeding heavily. ) None of my circle of friends have had problems conceiving so sods law I will be the one!

Redshoes56 Mon 05-Aug-13 16:57:59

downstairs definitely was the ever so sinister AF, unfortunately; there's no way anything survived that short but relentless "tide." sad It's been well over a year since quitting the pill. I think my body just likes to make sure I'm paying attention by throwing a curveball at me every once in awhile.

And yes, minion, I am also worried that I'm infertile. I wouldn't say terrified or convinced, but definitely worried. I'm sure I'll know more - and hopefully feel more positive - after the first visit with the specialist next Thursday. One silver lining is that my husband just started a new job and we are switching to his health insurance plan, which covers infertility treatments pretty much 100 percent, compared to my plan which would have covered us pretty much 0 percent. So good timing there. I feel a little less worried going in, knowing that I won't have to sell a kidney to fix my uterus.

roodles84 Mon 05-Aug-13 17:11:15

pizza - contraband free zone here! I'm being really tough on it - I even count poas before AF is 5 days late as contraband! (I'm afraid I'll only turn into more of a crazy lady if I break this rule). However, my cycles are pretty regular and I know when I ovulate, so it's pretty easy to know when to dtd. Then again, I'm only on cycle #2 so still full of blind optimism and faith...

Curly86 Mon 05-Aug-13 17:25:49

Me too I panicked that there is something wrong, or worry there is something wrong with OH; he always says if we can't we can't and he would be happy to look at adopting, which makes me paranoid does he know something I don't??? I think it's natural to worry

My Basal Body thermometer has arrived! I frantically opened the packet read the instructions and was outraged to see that it said FOR RECTAL USE! It wanted me to leave it in there 3 mins! Luckily through shock I turned over the instructions to find it can be used orally too! Phew

Did smile thinking no one gets a baby by putting things in their bum! It's the wrong hole

AuntieMaggie Mon 05-Aug-13 18:46:54

"no one gets a baby by putting things in their bum" - can you tell my DP thus curly hmm

Curly86 Mon 05-Aug-13 20:15:47

Lol, I feel your pain, my OH "slipped" the other night, a little too accurately for my liking and was met with a swift smack from me!

nearlyanurse Mon 05-Aug-13 21:01:51

Ladies, I had to post, as this is quite possibly the funniest thread I've ever stumbled across, and I haven't even read it all - just the odd comment. Not sure I'd be allowed to stay, as I think I break all of your rules, not on purpose right enough, but I did want to applaud you all on being hilarious, and making me actually lol - no mean feat considering I'm in a shocker of a mood today!

Stay comical!

Alohomora Mon 05-Aug-13 21:28:29

curly I remember reading up on conception and that book actually warned about not assuming you're safe with anal as apparently it can 'drip down' and make ass-babies. hmm

BTW, that's actually the one thing that gets me down a bit, we have more sex than we've had in a while, with the wedding over and no worry about contraception the pressure is off rather than on, but I do miss fooling around and doing other things than just penetrative intercourse....

Curly86 Mon 05-Aug-13 21:56:28

aloho my bum does look bigger maybe I'm having ass babies?
I have to admit sometimes I know we have to do it, but maybe something more spontaneous would be more fun, we seem to do the same 3 baby-dance routines because sperm is a precious commodity and can't be wasted on fooling around! It's almost like hurry up with the foreplay I just need your spunk

Nessalina Mon 05-Aug-13 21:58:18

Ha! grin Nice to know we're keeping someone entertained Nearly!
I think that was my last contrabandy cycle. Whilst useful to know I'm icing when I think I am, it caused way to much MUST SHAG NOW type stress, so no more! will prob still do at least 5 HPTs a cycle but no-ones perfect eh?
Minion - yes, it's only cycle 5 and I'm
already scared I'm infertile. I think it's pretty natural to be bricking it. Doesn't help when all around friends are getting upduffed! My BF just rang me today to say she's pregnant with her second!! hmm

fifi669 Mon 05-Aug-13 22:08:38

aloho I beg of you do not tell our DPs about ass babies! very funny though smile

You don't have to just stick to the baby making. Maybe do the functional, then round 2 is playtime? They say to dtd eod, so if you have an extra bit inbetween you could always be a bit more creative?

minion I was certain I was infertile because I'd never had a real pregnancy scare (despite being a bit contraception slack as a youngster) and I thought as one of 5 it'd be sods law that the daughter of a baby machine would be unable to herself. Got myself pretty down about it, over nothing really. After TTC for 6 months I got upduffed with DS. This time round I know I should be fertile, DP too as he has a DD.... Then once upon a google I come across secondary infertility.... Stupid computer.

Fingers crossed we all get our BFP so we can stop the crazy!

Curly86 Mon 05-Aug-13 22:14:40

fifi that's a good idea although I worry about the potentially wasted spermicles :-) I do enjoy it I just consider it to be like house work, I don't really want to do it, I quite enjoy it while I'm doing it and afterwards I feel great!
OH is working away until tomorrow night and not due back until late however I will be waiting up as I have had my first positive OPK really missed him wink

fifi669 Mon 05-Aug-13 22:38:27

I think round 2 wastage would be minimal, plus SMEP says EOD should have you rattling with swimmers so a bit of wastage is worth it of it stops DTD becoming an outright chore.

Alohomora Mon 05-Aug-13 22:48:37

Round two shock My OH will complain that that's very ambitious! (sometimes you can really tell that he is 13 years older than me...) If the calculations are correct I should be icing over the bank holiday weekend, I do have to work that Saturday but Sunday and Monday will definitely be set aside for no-clothes weekend style shenanigans!

Curly86 Tue 06-Aug-13 07:30:35

fifi you're obviously younger and fitter than me smile I think round 2 may go on hold in the place of a lovely cup of tea watching the 10pm news smile

pizzaqueen Tue 06-Aug-13 07:51:23

nearly glad we're keeping you entertained. smile

ass babies...I didn't sign up for that! I'm sure I know a few people who were ass babies...oh no wait they're just arse holes!wink

what are your views on sex during the tww. dp keeps waiting to have sex every day or two days he just doesn't understand a baby can only be made when ovulating he think they're made all month round but I have heard it can disrupt implantation? I don't want to knock his enthusiasm but don't want to undo all our hard work in the window of opportunity!

Curly86 Tue 06-Aug-13 08:04:06

We don't tend to do it in the 2WW purely because my boobs swell and become hard and impossible to touch; not sexy and I've found since tracking my cycle and thinking back once I've Ovd I feel sick and I'm grumpy which apparently is the progesterone?

AuntieMaggie Tue 06-Aug-13 08:41:12

Ass babies??? shock I will not be sharing that wisdom with dp!

Lmao pizza... I know a few of those too wink

Whats all this talk of round 2? In this weather and at my age I'm lucky to get round 1!!!

Nessalina Tue 06-Aug-13 09:18:09

I never feel like it in the TWOT, but I do worry that us not doing it makes my DH feel like a baby making sperm machine confused

EssieSaysRelax Tue 06-Aug-13 09:27:15

Ha! Love you lot. Ass babies. I do NOT want me one of those.

Cramping and spotting seems to have subsided now, though I felt like shite last night and went to bed at 9pm and struggled to haul myself out this morning, so deffo something up with me as I've never had that at cd8, but I feel ok now I've got going. Strange.

We tail off with DTD as we get into the twot, mainly because like curly I feel like crud. I usually think I know when I ov, but then ERTD has kept me waiting an extra few days the last couple of cycles so either my literal phase is up the swanny or I actually have no idea when I ov, which is distinctly possible.

Anyone doing anything interesting this week?

coffeewineandchocolate Tue 06-Aug-13 09:48:28

so it seems I have found the reason for my feeling so awful... BFP!!

pizzaqueen Tue 06-Aug-13 10:29:32

congraulations coffee!! were you late? when did you dtd this month, you know how we like all the details...

Alohomora Tue 06-Aug-13 10:52:12

coffee HOORAY! Really pleased for you!

All of you successful ladies make waiting somehow easier, I'm really happy for you!

I think I'm screwed trying to predict anything, anyway, partly because of my patchy period history and partly because my body likes to throw wobblies with my hormones. When DH and I first got together (first proper relationship, first dtd) I had a huge pregnancy scare as my period didn't come for two months. I ended up POAS and getting a blood test done because I was so scared, but it was just lovey-dovey 'courting hormones' messing me around.

AF arriving any day now, I seem to have 38/40 day cycles now ??? Rubbish.

coffeewineandchocolate Tue 06-Aug-13 11:32:02

I was due today :-). fertile period according to the calendar was 19th-24th July. we dtd every day on 20-23rd twice on 22nd .

I had an inkling as the dizziness and low bp I had early in my first pregnancy (not this early tho). I'm still in shock I think!

I emailed a pic of the digitest to dh who is working away until tomorrow. he's very excited :-)

PrincessKitKat Tue 06-Aug-13 11:44:59

Congratulations Coffee!! Fabulous news!
How many tests have you done so far? Have you worked out a due date? grin

coffeewineandchocolate Tue 06-Aug-13 11:50:27

I did one last night and thought a saw a very very faint line but want sure. did another first thing which showeda stronger but still faint line. so.. I went out and bought a digital one and it was bfp :-)

I have my parents staying this week (they live abroad). tempted to tell them before they go as only see them in person twice a year!

EssieSaysRelax Tue 06-Aug-13 11:54:15

oh YAY Coffee! So happy for you. Massive Congrats. xx

pizzaqueen Tue 06-Aug-13 12:08:52

you should tell your parents but swear them to secrecy!! I'm so glad I told my mum in my last pg.

PrincessKitKat Tue 06-Aug-13 12:29:28

I think I'd tell them so you can see their happy faces!

We're going to tell my parents soon, every time I get another foul symptom I want my Mummy to call them.

fifi669 Tue 06-Aug-13 12:51:29

Congratulations coffee! How many cycles did it take? I'm so impatient I'd settle for an ass baby smile

As for round 2, I'm 30, but DP has just turned 28. I don't think we're that young? It's def not an everyday occurrence!

x0gawjus0x Tue 06-Aug-13 12:51:37

I did absolutely nothing except shag no temps no charts nothing and got my bfp 5 weeks ago after 2.5 years of trying! I am 20 yrs old .. Hello ! X

fifi669 Tue 06-Aug-13 12:56:35

Oh and pizza we still DTD in TWOT, unless signs of AF arrival are obvious in which case I sulk. I've never heard of DTD interfering with implantation?

Curly86 Tue 06-Aug-13 13:41:01

coffee woop woop! Congratulations!
OPK still positive today OH home late tonight :-) so baby dancing is planned, hoping we catch as my 12 weeks would be just as we get married so OH can tell everyone in his speech :-)

fifi I think your a sex addict grin

AuntieMaggie Tue 06-Aug-13 13:50:02

Congatulations coffee smile

I have no idea whats going on with my fecking body. After really heavy bleeding yesterday I'm not bleeding at all today but I am knackered and very hungry. Also the blood in my mooncup wasn't like my period blood normally is but pure liquid like it does when you have a blood test...

I am also horny as hell so going to jump dp when he gets in!

fifi669 Tue 06-Aug-13 14:01:26

curly that's be so nice to be able to tell everyone at once! Fingers crossed for you x

Minion Tue 06-Aug-13 14:20:49

coffee woohoo!
Another BFP, congratulations. Def tell parents this week, you'll get spoilt rotten xxx

cookielove Tue 06-Aug-13 14:56:12

Congratulations coffee

For all the brand new bfp'ers new tgread here

Curly86 Tue 06-Aug-13 16:07:20

I'm hoping we could have our scan before and then tell the parents we have a gift for them and give them a copy of the scan in front of everyone lol at least that way they can't make a scene! however my body hates me so not getting my hopes up although I've got a good feeling about this month :-D

EssieSaysRelax Tue 06-Aug-13 16:20:23

Curly, I hope it works out for you like that, I do that sort of thing.

I hoped I'd be upduff by the time it was MILs 60th bday this year so we could tell her as a pressie, and then after that by the time I took my Gran on hols, so I could tell her on hols as she was on about it when we went away last year, thats been and gone, then I was hoping to be upduff by DH's bday, thats been and gone. My Mums 60th bday is in 10 days, I was hoping it would be a birthday gift for her too. Nope.
<Must stop setting self upduff targets and just take my own advice and relax!>

Eurgh, some tool has defaced our company facebook page. It's quite funny really that anyone can be so pathetic. I took a screen dump before I deleted all the posts and blocked them!

Maggie sorry your body is doing mad things too. Mine has been like that this week. Very odd.

cookielove Tue 06-Aug-13 16:29:44

curly that sounds lovely smile

coffeewineandchocolate Tue 06-Aug-13 16:40:33

fifi I had my arm implant removed mid Feb but it took 3 cycles for my body to deep a regular cycle pattern again. I found it very strange to be trying at all as ds just happened!

roodles84 Tue 06-Aug-13 17:33:43

Congratulations coffee!! flowers

Curly86 Tue 06-Aug-13 18:00:55

Ok viroids, TMI alert but I'm panicking, have just had a lovely bath in prep for OHs arrival have got out and dried myself and over the towel is brown jelly??? WTF I had positive OPK last night an this morning, there is loads of the stuff it just keeps comin out its really sticky an stretchy I'd say there's probably a heaped teaspoons worth,

The last couple of months when I think I've ovulated I've just had some clear EWCM that was runny? This stuff is stretching to like 3 inches before it breaks??

pizzaqueen Tue 06-Aug-13 18:17:47

curly I have no idea what it is, but if it makes you feel better I had it this cycle too (27th) a couple of days after I thought af was finished . just happened the once and went away confused

pizzaqueen Tue 06-Aug-13 18:20:03

just noticed your ovulating too curly...ovulation bleeding??

Curly86 Tue 06-Aug-13 18:21:16

Ok google was no help! Google says implantation but I'm only now ovulating (I think) so that any be right, its stopped now I think, it all came out in a big blob! Maybe its because I'm ovulating which means OH needs to hurry up and get home!

Thanks pizza my AF I don't think is due for another 2 weeks although she turns up when we wants I had period pains Friday but think that was maybe getting ready to O?

Curly86 Tue 06-Aug-13 18:26:35

So google says it could be ovulation bleeding and aparently the real jelly stuff is what you get before the fertile runnier stuff? Nearly crapped myself it looked like my vagina had sneezed sorry for the graphic image blush

fifi669 Tue 06-Aug-13 18:50:12

curly that is an impressive mental image grin I'll have to look out for my sneezing vagina

lil1ady Tue 06-Aug-13 18:51:27

hi viroids

congrats coffee any more bfps on here and there'll be none of us left here's hoping

fifi669 Tue 06-Aug-13 18:59:06

Wouldn't it be great to have just a handful left POAS, getting their BFP and meeting on the graduate thread? Here's hoping....

ChocChaffinch Tue 06-Aug-13 19:11:19

woo-hoo coffee lovely news grin

coffeewineandchocolate Tue 06-Aug-13 19:35:07

thanks all. just told parents and my sister's. All had suspicions given my symptoms but are happy :-). Lets hope it's a sticky one!

DulcetMoans Tue 06-Aug-13 20:00:30

Congrats coffee!! Add ya to the list, we'll all get there soon. Thanks for the details! We love the details! Lol.

Gear visual image there curly. Fellow future bride too? Wooo!!

Redshoes56 Tue 06-Aug-13 20:03:53

Hello! <passes Kleenex to everyone's vaginas>

Congrats, coffee! Awesome news smile

Trying not to laugh too loudly about ass babies while sitting at my desk at work....

Alohomora Tue 06-Aug-13 20:17:10

Have I started a trend here? I think I got that from "The Guide to Getting it on", years ago!

Good friend has just announced she is preggers, I really hope it's catching!

lil1ady Tue 06-Aug-13 20:38:13

I hope the sneezing vagina isn't catching though.....hmm

lil1ady Tue 06-Aug-13 22:11:24

one of dh's friends has posted on Facebook that they are expecting dc2. its started, the pregnant people are starting to appear around me in RL! time to design a super lucky cape for cycle 8!

fifi669 Tue 06-Aug-13 22:26:39

AF has left the building after a false alarm and restart. Revamping cape for lucky cycle 5

ZingWidge Tue 06-Aug-13 22:38:43

coffee congrats!

Sneezing Vagina sounds like a cocktail that might be served in a sex shop! grin

EssieSaysRelax Wed 07-Aug-13 13:11:40

Afternoon viroids.

<emerges from pity pool wrinkly after prolonged immersion>

I have seen 3 bike crashes in the last 2 days. If you ride a bike stay away from me. I'd like to add though that I was not involved in any of them, but witnessed them all. Weird!

It's hump day! In all senses of the word! Yay!

AQuarkTooFar Wed 07-Aug-13 14:58:18

Dropping in from the symptom spotting cave to say a quick hello to all and congrats to coffee!

Hope you are all well! Nothing to report here, still in the twot.

Happy shagging viroids!

Redshoes56 Wed 07-Aug-13 15:56:39

Nothing to report here either. Spent an hour last night filling out my pre-visit paperwork for my appointment next week with the RE. I think they now know me better than my own mother, so many questions! On the "what else should we know" page, I was tempted to add a few sentences about unicorns and capes, but thought they might refer me to another doctor rather swiftly....

DownstairsMixUp Wed 07-Aug-13 16:14:36

Hello all I'm back!!

Can everyone give me updates as my bleeding phone won't load the last pages aside from this one?

Has there been anymore BFPS??

To update, yes, it def was a positive for me... I had to get a digital as i didn't believe it! They say its' good news but i'm worrying about all sorts, miscarrying etc etc, feel like a nervous wreck at the moment!

How is everyone?

lil1ady Wed 07-Aug-13 17:07:37

congrats downstairs .

coffee got her bfp while u were away.

in other news we discussed ass babies and sneezing vaginas! u missed lots!

pizzaqueen Wed 07-Aug-13 17:22:51

ooh congratulations downstairs. its really hard but just try to relax, try to rest lots and forget you are even pregnant I know I will be a nervous worrying wreck in the first twelve weeks when I get pregnant again

Curly86 Wed 07-Aug-13 17:33:10

So pleased for you downstairs just get lots of sleep and put your feet up with a lovely cuppa and everything will be fine!

I think I have ovulated due to yesterday's jelly incident dtd yesterday and think probably best to dtd everyday or next couple of days, the phone app says I'm a fertle myrtle until Sunday?? Then I guess its back to the TWOT for me

Alohomora Wed 07-Aug-13 17:37:17

downstairs Great news, now have a relaxing herbal tea to calm you down!

I am waiting for that bitch Aunt Flo, she's overdue and I know I'm not pregnant. I wish she'd just show up so we can start the next cycle! Grrrrr!

pizzaqueen Wed 07-Aug-13 18:22:45

curly I ovulated 5-6 days after the weird pant jelly stuff....my cm went to watery rather than ewcm when I ovulated. you might be different though.

Curly86 Wed 07-Aug-13 18:29:11

I had a positive OPK Monday and Tuesday and today its negative so I guess the egg has been released now? Today I don't think I have any CM; we didn't dtd Saturday or Sunday in the end but did Friday just hoping that's enough

PrincessKitKat Wed 07-Aug-13 19:28:27

Hooray Downstairs! The line was a line smile

Good luck Curly!

DownstairsMixUp Wed 07-Aug-13 19:32:49

Thanks for the brief catch up lillady it sounds like it's been interesting! Congrats coffee on your bfp to!

pizza I am trying my hardest lmao! I honestly think the actual ttcing and first 12 weeks are the hardest!

Thanks curly Yes sounds as though you will be in the 2ww then! Sending some good vibes your way!

Ahh thank you Alohomora you really sure you aren't pregnant? Remember I thought I had an actual period, must admit i had no idea! :S

It was indeed PrincessKitKat I've been a poas addict, peeing on a stick every day to see the line get darker, very sad!

I'm off to have a bath soon, not too hot though, apparentely that is frowned upon!

ZingWidge Wed 07-Aug-13 20:08:21

downstairs congrats!

and just a whisper that DH has changed his mind and said that if I really want another baby he's now happy to go for it! smile
I feel it's not fair for me to be on here as a viroid because I'm likely to fall pg soon and I don't want people who are struggling to feel that I'm bragging or whatever, so I think I should be off...

but I wish you all good luck and sending you fertility vibes!
you are lovely people and will make fantastic parents, sooner than later I hope! x

lil1ady Wed 07-Aug-13 20:19:44

ahh zing that's fantastic smile

I obviously can't speak for everyone but I for one definitely want to hear when u get Ur bfp. you are one of the gang grin

DownstairsMixUp Wed 07-Aug-13 20:22:12

Aww thanks zing I would like to hear of your BFP to, i don't know the reasoning why your likely to fall preg soon but i don't care either way would still like to hear from you! smile

pizzaqueen Wed 07-Aug-13 20:43:20

stick around zing

lil1ady Wed 07-Aug-13 20:54:06

and zing u r our mascot, if u go the bfps might go with you! you have to stay! we need Ur good fertility vibes to rub off on us!

Wheredidmyyouthgo Wed 07-Aug-13 21:30:36

Congrats to all who have had their BFPs since I last posted.

Well.... I've been feeling 'pregnant' since last Thursday. Did a test yesterday - BFN.

Did a test this morning and it shows the faintest of lines. BFP at 9dpo.

Fingers crossed this is it, am nervous as it's so early, but I've felt so rough it was either get a BFP or have to go to the Dr's to find out what was making me feel this way!

fifi669 Wed 07-Aug-13 21:34:54

Congratulations downstairs and where!

Details needed! How many cycles did it take? Symptoms etc?

PrincessKitKat Wed 07-Aug-13 21:50:13

Congratulations Wheredidmyyouthgo!

Tis the month of the BFP! All that warm summer evening JSing!

Wheredidmyyouthgo Wed 07-Aug-13 22:27:05

Thank you thank you am soooo pleased!

3dpo - sore boobs when I took my bra off at night
4dpo - sore boobs through the day
5dpo - had a really vivid nightmare overnight, and sore boobs in the morning
7dpo - heightened sense of smell (kitchen/bathroom), vivid dream overnight. Smells worse in the evening. Sore boobs morning and evening.
8dpo - woke up feeling sick. Hungry in the evening, supper (fish) tasted smoked - it wasn't. Very tired in the evening.
9dpo - woke up feeling sick. Had vivid dream overnight, and woke in the middle of the night to wee. Pregnancy test showed the faintest of BFP!!! Still feeling nauseous at lunchtime, hungry but don't fancy anything to eat, exhausted, worried I've got so much work to do and am just so very tired.

Nessalina Wed 07-Aug-13 23:15:03

So much good news!! Big hurrah for Coffee, Downstairs (I knew it!!), and Where grin Awesome ladies!
Zing - your logic is flawed! You're not TTC, but you're on our TTC thread as mascot anyway, so you can't bugger off now you ARE TTC!! wink
I am an unhappy TWOTter still, 9dpo, PIAR today, predictable BFN. Totally psyching myself out as per usual. hmm

Bearfacedchic Wed 07-Aug-13 23:33:51

Hello, hello, hello all! I'm back from the hols. Had a lovely week with DH not thinking about Ttc! grin Took me ages to read the Fred. Hope you're all well.

So, congrats to Downstairs, KitKat, Coffee and Where! Good work from you all. Sorry if I missed anyone, but well done duffers! smile

Stick around Zing. We just got used to you!

Well, I definitely ov'd this month and we shagged several times during the fertyl mertyl period. So now I'm in the TWOT and early tester that I am, did one today and got a bfn. I'm on cd28, so unlikely this month I think.

We got the copy of the letter explaining our 'case histories' and next course of action to the GP and the bit about me says that my blood tests show evidence of regular ovulation. DH's sperm is a different matter but of course thats being ignored and I'm still being prodded and poked although I know it's necessary I still have to go in for a HSG scan this month <pass me the unicorn now> which basically means there won't be any Ttc for us next month as you can't be pregnant and they advise to wait until after your next period. Also, really not looking forward to the scan. Really wish everything was a bit easier somehow.

So, all in all, a bit poo really, but there we are. Such is life. And I feel like giving up. I'm dive-bombing that pity pool, so watch out!

Bearfacedchic Thu 08-Aug-13 00:22:45

Now I feel bad as on the other Fred there are people going through all sorts of trauma and I feel very stoopid. <hooyas self round head>

lil1ady Thu 08-Aug-13 07:27:14

hi bear we missed you!

only a little hooya to urself please - just because other ppl had it worse doesn't mean what Ur going thru isn't tough. but at least things are moving along towards them bothering to look at Ur dh

lil1ady Thu 08-Aug-13 07:28:30

oops I forgot to say congrats to where so congrats!

and hi to everyone else

ZingWidge Thu 08-Aug-13 07:35:49

morning all.

congrats to you where yay!

I'd much rather stay, thanks ladies!smile
I just don't want to upset anyone, that's all!

we are off to seaside today. I don't normally drive that long so I'm worried about getting too tired for journey home. feel like canceling, , but don't want to disappoint the kids

pizzaqueen Thu 08-Aug-13 07:40:02

glad you have decided to stay zing please keep us updated on how your ttc is going. I'm still officially only on cycle one too!! Hoping it won't take too long, given ds was a pill baby but never know.

enjoy the seaside. have a nice big coffee or red bull before the drive home, open the windows and plan a stop or two if you need it.

DownstairsMixUp Thu 08-Aug-13 08:27:50

Congrats wheredidmyyouthgo

Thank you fifi this was my second cycle trying, the first i'm not sure i ovlulated as never had the symptoms etc, think i just had a dodgy period! My main symptom which I thought was just AF coming on heavier was eating EVERYTHING IN SIGHT! I've been extremly tired to the point i'll sleep 8 hours at night but still want a nap and my boobs are a bit tingly! I've had some slight light brown spotting around the time of implantation and some more when my period should of come!

Thank you Nessa I still got a BFN at 9DPO. Some women do take longer to implant than others so might be worth holding out for a few days to test again, they say after implantation it takes a good few days, or up to a week to get a positive on a HPT!

bear don't be so hard on yourself, yes people do and are going through worse but that doesn't mean you can't be upset to, just keep being positive, I know it's hard, says me to who can't keep a positive thought at the moment! You'll be okay smile Glad you had a nice break!

Have fun at the beach Zing glad you are sticking around smile Second the advice above, or stop and get one of them cold coffees, they are lovely!

Sure it won't be too long for you either pizzaqueen fingers crossed!

Minion Thu 08-Aug-13 08:57:45

where and downstairs... Awesome news girls!
zing, don't go kid, we all live to hear of people getting their BFPs!

Nothing new here at minions, ERTD has vacated but I'm on night shift after night shift so haven't as much looked at oh as opposed to throwing him a pity shag, note to self, must try harder!

EssieSaysRelax Thu 08-Aug-13 10:10:20

Wow! Yay for the BFPs. Go girls. V good news. Keep the details coming.

Bear, glad you had a nice hol. Don't feel bad or stoopid, thats what we're all here for, getting it all off your chest to make RL a bit easier to cope with! I've been doing my fair share of offloading cos I'm not coping brilliantly atm either. <searches yellow pages for unicorn farm so we can get us another as one>

Zing DON'T GO! You can't start ttc and leave us hanging! I sincerly hope it does happen swiftly for you, and even if you do a kitten we'd still like you to be here to tell us about it. Enjoy the sea side too. grin

My fertle week supposedly starts on Monday, no shagging has taken place yet as I've felt utterly crap though the cramps and spotting has stopped now. Hoping to get the cape on tonight and keep it on til long after the app advises cos judging by last few cycles I have a wacky literal phase!

I can't stop eating chocolate either, though apparently cocoa keeps dementia at bay I heard on the radio this morning?

DulcetMoans Thu 08-Aug-13 11:46:57

Excellent news on the benefits if chocolate essie, thanks for that!

And even better news on all the BFPs coming in. I must be at the wrong end of the Fred's cycle as only on CD9 so no chance of a BFP for weeks!!

EssieSaysRelax Thu 08-Aug-13 12:32:23

Same here dulcet, I'm cd11. See you at the synchro-pee!!

AuntieMaggie Thu 08-Aug-13 13:44:55

Congratulations where

What does cd and dpo mean?

I suddenly remembered this morning (while dtd of all times...) that I have a tilted womb and read years ago about this making it more difficult to conceive - anyone else had this?

lil1ady Thu 08-Aug-13 14:08:51

cd7 here so count me in for synchro pee too. ertd has vacated so cape us coming out soon.

Maggie CD is cycle day dpo is days past ovulation.

not heard of the tilted womb thing but sounds odd. wonder if different positions for DTD could help?

Minion Thu 08-Aug-13 14:22:58

CD9 here too.
Love having a synchro pee buddy!

Curly86 Thu 08-Aug-13 16:07:38

I was told in my smear I had a tilted cervix? Which apparently does make it a little harder and why all my period pain is in my back and up my bum...nice

DulcetMoans Thu 08-Aug-13 16:45:53

I had never heard of tilted womb/cervix (not sure which it was) until my pregnant friend told me she had it. They were worried it would stop them getting pregnant as she had been told it could but she did first go. Don't have any medical evidence but from the one person I know that had it there wasn't a problem.

AuntieMaggie Thu 08-Aug-13 16:49:45

Thanks for the explanation smile

I think it was because it made it difficult for the sperm to get in?

Rockchick1984 Thu 08-Aug-13 17:02:56

Auntie I've got a tilted uterus - never knew about it and no problems conceiving. Only found out when they mentioned it at my 8 week scan!

Bearfacedchic Thu 08-Aug-13 17:12:22

I missed you and all the shaggedy chit-chat too! <waves paws excitedly>

I have heard of a tilted womb. I thought it meant that some women might bleed a little after sex because the womb gets a bit knocked or something like that. I think that's what I read. Apart from that, I know nothing - sorry. Does it cause you any discomfort or pain, Maggie?

We had a horrid moment while on hols when two parents (maybe grandparents?) who were 'looking after' two small children decided it would be better for them to tuck into their steak rather than watch the children and a little boy aged probably about 18 months nearly fell in the river. They were nowhere near him and the dad/granddad did come running over, but if he had fallen in, there would have been no saving him. The boy could have easily fitted through or run through the safety barriers as he was so small. He got right up to the edge and thankfully stopped just before it. There was a collective gasp from everyone eating at the restaurant and I was so angry that I gave my best evils to the mother/grandmother. It just made me so angry that they could be so blasé about such small children. DH said he would have had to jump in if the boy had fallen in, but then both the boy and DH would have drowned! sad The worst thing was that the parents didn't seem at all bothered by what happened and we saw them the next day doing pretty much the same thing. angry

Anyway, apart from that, we had a lurvely time. I'm off again next week, but I may be able to fit in that trip to the unicorn farm with Essie. So, I was thinking that maybe we could buy a female unicorn (as the one we have is clearly male) and breed them! Just shagging unicorns! grin Project!

GreatScott1 Thu 08-Aug-13 18:07:19

Hi smile sorry I've been a bit MIA - been really busy doing nothing!

Congrats to all the BFPers! How many are we up to this thread? Anyone keeping count?

I'm on CD13, so if I can hold off, I will synchro pee too grin

No other news here really apart from going out tonight to a "pudding night" its salad followed by 6 puddings grin and some kind of entertainment with the girls! I love pudding!

ZingWidge Thu 08-Aug-13 18:07:54

we had a lovely day at the beach!

I was so careful making sure the kids were suncreamed upto their eyeballs I forgot to do me!
my neck is a lovely lobster colour-ouch!

thank you, I'll stay, you are all so sweet!wink

fifi669 Thu 08-Aug-13 18:07:58

Cd 8 here, first day contraband recommends testing nowt to write home about. App says FW would begin Saturday after next... Then changed it to Wednesday coming... Then Friday... Now back to Saturday.... Think it's f**ked

fifi669 Thu 08-Aug-13 18:23:18

Just had a message from my brother asking if I'm pregnant as his gran in law says I am..... Nope. Just fat. Cheers for that!

Bearfacedchic Thu 08-Aug-13 18:31:28

Grrr to preggers questions Fifi.

fifi669 Thu 08-Aug-13 18:52:54

I know bear! We've only seen each other a couple of times in 8 years or so, so she doesn't know I'm TTC

Hoping its old lady witchcraft.... Before BFP with DS the lady behind the deli counter in co-op said congratulations to me. I was like eh? You're pregnant she said. Er I'm not... <cue bright red face, wishing the ground to swallow me > she then apologised and said she understood a she'd had a miscarriage too... Which made it even more awkward.... A few weeks later BFP. Witchcraft I tell you!

Bearfacedchic Thu 08-Aug-13 19:06:36

That's weird although I secretly wish that would happen to me

AuntieMaggie Thu 08-Aug-13 19:50:18

bear in certain positions it hurts and at the time of ovulation. I only know I have it because of the internal scans I've had - it means my ovaries are higher up and I can only orgasm in certain positions blush

I sympathise fifi as I've had that before. I was waiting for someone at work to ask if I was pregnant as I returned from leave with a bloated belly from coming off the pill and my pcos kicking in.

pizzaqueen Thu 08-Aug-13 20:21:45

fifi I've had that too blush month or so after having ds I went for a spa day, the lady sais to me 'you should have said when you booked as we don't do pregnancy massages and patted ny tummy.' I still feel embarrassed about it as my weight is an issue. Need to lose about 2 stone and I seem to carry mostly on my stomach so can look pregnant a lot of the time sad .

I'm 6 dpo and had cramps this evening, like af is coming, really hope it's not, far too early even if I'm not pg this cycle.

pizzaqueen Thu 08-Aug-13 21:06:01

sorry for typos and lack of capitalisation. I'm not thick honest, just my fat fingers struggle with typing on the phone. Must proof read.

Nessalina Thu 08-Aug-13 21:20:19

Good grief Pizza, I would have properly slapped her not true, would more likely burst into tears!
Wasted another pee stick today, not due on til Sunday so need to rein it in!!
Good to have you back Bear - glad things are moving forward with tests. Stay strong, it sounds well stressful! thanksbrew

fifi669 Thu 08-Aug-13 21:24:50

pizza isn't 6dpo cramping a good thing? Like implantation or something? P.S. I also carry all excess weight on my belly, size 10/12 bum, but a Father Christmas belly. (I exaggerate slightly).

bear I would come up and congratulate you if I knew how the witchcraft worked!

DownstairsMixUp Fri 09-Aug-13 08:33:55

Glad you had a nie day at the beach Zing I'm the same with my lo, coated in suncream he gets! grin

How bloomin rude fifi i never ask that question unless it's blatantly clear, I'd be so embarassed if someone wasn't pregnant!

Isn't that a good sign pizzaqueen? Could be a sign of implantation?

I feel like I don't want to leave this thread as I like it here but i don't want to stay if anyone feels it's rubbing it in me being here!

pizzaqueen Fri 09-Aug-13 08:45:50

oh downstairs and fifi I desperately hope it is implantation but i must try not to get too carried away. Still a week before I can poas. We dtd 8 times between cd10 and cd19 (think I ov'd day 18, but didnt dtd on cd17) so hopefully at leasy one of those caught the egg!

EssieSaysRelax Fri 09-Aug-13 09:22:53

I got accused of being upduff the other day at work because I had loads of snacks on my desk!! A half eaten sarnie, an apple, and a flapjack is apparently loads, and the guy that made the accusation came and whispered (a whole other issue was him getting WAY TOO CLOSE TO ME!) in my ear “I’ve noticed you are eating lots at the moment, we’ve all noticed!” I immediately lost it and pointed out there was UNEATEN food on my desk, because I was too sodding busy to eat it because I had spent all day dealing with cretins like him. I am normally very restrained shy but he got me on a bad day. Fortunately I work in an all male environment and outbursts like that are fairly run of the mill (though not for me!) so no-one really turned a hair. I wish I could be a bit more like a bloke sometimes and take the stick and just let these things not bother me!

Yay, we’re off to the unicorn farm! What colour lady unicorn shall we get? Bearing in mind the current stallion is orange, we need to consider this carefully to ensure we have aesthetically pleasing baby unis! Perhaps we should just stick to orange as if we mix colours we may end up with a brown unicorn and I don’t see how anything brown can be magic. grin

DownstairsMixUp Fri 09-Aug-13 09:30:10

Pizzaqueen my fingers are crossed for you!

Bearfacedchic Fri 09-Aug-13 18:14:24

Maggie- that sounds a bit rough. sad Hopefully it won't get it the way of Ttc.

Essie- some people are so blimmin' rude. Good on you for standing up to him.

Now onto the small matter of which lady unicorn to choose- I think rainbow coloured would be just lovely.

I'm on cd 30 and 10 dpo today and no Ertd. I don't think for a second I'm upduffed and I'm sure it's just up to its old tricks though.

Curly86 Fri 09-Aug-13 18:52:35

I like the sound of a rainbow unicorn

I am 3DPO and work up this morning with SORE boobs and BURNING nipples, (take note of capitals meaning very painful!)

Feel crappy so have sat myself down with a small glass of low alcohol wine and a HUGE bar of chocolate (take note of capitals meaning very big) whats everyone upto this weekend?

Alohomora Fri 09-Aug-13 19:07:53

I'm cd39 and have been cramping on and off all week, but no AF yet. Grump.

My cervix is so high up I always have to remind doctor's at my smear test that they need an extra long speculum. No chance of feeling which way it tilts.

pizzaqueen Fri 09-Aug-13 19:40:27

I'm not much of a drinker but would absolutely love a glass of wine tonight and some crisps and chocolate but we having nothing in and ds is asleep in bed and dp is working til 11 as usual. law of sod. wine

will need to make do with a cuppa instead brew curly and aloho I think you bfp might be on the way!? just have a feeling.

Curly86 Fri 09-Aug-13 21:31:18

I hope so pizza although I have something called non cyclical breast pain so they are always sore! Sometimes its hard to tell if they are more sore than usual! However this mornings burning was new! Haven't dared to take my bra off yet as that's usually when they hurt the most!

lil1ady Fri 09-Aug-13 23:26:18

fx for more bfps curly and aloho!

cape back on tonight so this cycles shagfest is officially underway!

the Fred has been rather quiet today..is everyone hiding in the pity pool/unicorn cave?

fifi669 Sat 10-Aug-13 00:08:09

It is quiet isn't it? I'm past AF, before icing or TWOT so don't really have much to add!

Have messaged app people about varying icing dates, they say it shouldn't change by just logging in.... No shit. Now have to send screen shots. What apps to others use? I'm using clue

DulcetMoans Sat 10-Aug-13 09:35:49

Same as fifi, nothing interesting going on TTC-wise. I get married a week today though! Hairdresser should be arriving this time next week!

I use period diary fifi, which I was pretty happy with until May when it stopped the summary page working somehow which said how long cycles had been. Was really handy as could see how long each month had been but now it's broke!

lil1ady Sat 10-Aug-13 09:53:57

I use fertility friend but I do have the paid version so I get extra features. it does not help the obsessing in twot though as it has an analyser which tells you how close to ov u DTD and gives u a high good or low score, then gives you a point score as to how likely u are yo be upduffed based on the symptoms u enter. I had 77/100 one month though and no bfp. clearly I was over thinking all the "symptoms"!

enjoy this week dulcet it will fly. its our 2nd anniversary in a couple of weeks. I remember 4 days b4 the wedding I had a melt down telling my mum, in tears, that I wasn't ready for a wedding. she panicked thinking I didn't want to marry dh. it wasn't that at all I was just so overwhelmed by all the last minute prep I felt we'd never get it all done. turns out I was panicking for nothing! grin

Alohomora Sat 10-Aug-13 10:50:02

dulcet Enjoy this week, ours flew by (DIYed a lot so pure hectic!), do you still have a lot to do or are you organised?

nothing to report - lots if stress and bad atmosphere at work, working til 4 today. Still waiting for AF but bfn so far so it's just my body screwing with my, have felt queasy all week but I think that's just stress.

Nessalina Sat 10-Aug-13 13:55:23

Viroids!! I'm freaking out. Just got home from work, and I hadn't binned the BFN pee stick I did this morning, so went to bin it, and it has the GHOST of a line! Like the sort that you have to squint with one eye shut at. I fished my last two days sticks (classy) out of the bin, and in comparison they are definitely lineless! They say to disregard results after 10mins, and this has been like 5hrs - ADVICE PLEASE?!!

fifi669 Sat 10-Aug-13 13:58:21

Do another later tonight? Or tomorrow? It could be nothing.... It could be everything smile

Nessalina Sat 10-Aug-13 13:58:39

I'm 11dpo and due on tomorrow btw! Just got my DH to have a look, and he can see the line, but was all like 'don't get your hopes up' kinda thing... Not that he knows a thing about HPTs hmm

Nessalina Sat 10-Aug-13 14:38:52

Ok, just squeezed out a lil' wee to do a fresh one, and there is definitely a ghostly line!!! shock Gonna go get a super duper test to do tomorrow morning!

Bearfacedchic Sat 10-Aug-13 15:28:33

Squeeee- exciting Nessa! Got everything crossed for you.

Well, I didn't say anything yesterday but I got a faint second line on an IC. Bizarrely I did the same thing as Nessa and went back and checked a test in the bin, but then thought it was probably just an evaporation line. But then today I did an ov test as I've run out of IC hpts and that had a second line too. DH keeps saying and I also feel like I shouldn't get my hopes up, and I keep telling myself Ertd will arrive very soon, but I saw a second line. Urgh- turmoil!

Nessalina Sat 10-Aug-13 15:56:56

OMG Bear! Faint line excitement! grin Fx & tx for the both of us then! When can you test with an HPT? I'm just in the car on the way back from spending a small fortune on bathroom tiles, gonna call into Boots & get a first response and a digital!

lil1ady Sat 10-Aug-13 16:19:38

Oh bear I am on the edge ofy seat with excitement for you! and four nessa I have everything crossed. they do say a line is a line.....!

lil1ady Sat 10-Aug-13 16:20:09

omg so many typos! u get the gist tho!

fifi669 Sat 10-Aug-13 16:20:17

go out and get more tests now!

Bearfacedchic Sat 10-Aug-13 16:35:46

I'll get a test tomorrow if Ertd hasn't turned up. Sorry to disappoint, but I'm so sure it's going to be a bfn and I want to give any Hcg time to build up, if there is indeed any. It took a while for the second line to appear on the opk.

DH just keeps looking at me like he won't even entertain the idea which admittedly has calmed me down and made me be realistic, but it's also a little bit heartbreaking as its like he doesn't think it will ever happen.

In the symptom spotting cave I am weeing a fair amount though and felt exhausted when I woke up after 9 hours' sleep this morning. I also got a cold last week and have had what I thought was the start of Ertd cramps but nothing has appeared. Yet. Don't feel much different though.
Good luck Nessa!

Nessalina Sat 10-Aug-13 16:41:27

Clearblue Digi purchased, but I'm with you Bear, I'm sitting on my hands til tomorrow to give best possible BFP chance. Can't stand it!! Lol. Impatient much? smile
Symptom wise I have been a bit more emotional than usual, though I put it down to PMT - I cried when the girls got picked for the show in an old episode of ANTM! blush Boobs are sore, but that's normal pre-ERTD...

lil1ady Sat 10-Aug-13 16:47:34

all good signs. I'm off to fetch uni out if the cave to bring you some luck

Minion Sat 10-Aug-13 17:28:39

Fingers and toes crossed for you girls xx

Bearfacedchic Sat 10-Aug-13 17:29:19

I think as fecking usual I may have been a bit premature. Think I may be about to start spotting with Ertd imminent. Will keep you posted. Feck. sad

Nessalina Sat 10-Aug-13 17:59:02

Aww Bear sad Really hope it's not! thanks

lil1ady Sat 10-Aug-13 18:27:13

aww bear its not over til its over. didn't downstairs think AF had showed but still got bfp? hang in there x

cookielove Sat 10-Aug-13 18:40:59

Fx smile bear and nessa!

Alohomora Sat 10-Aug-13 20:12:45

nessa bear I have my fingers crossed for you!!!! Maybe tomorrow will be the day for you flowers

Bearfacedchic Sat 10-Aug-13 20:18:26

Thanks guys, but I'm out again. Spotting has started so it's coming. Don't know what those two lines were about then. Poor DH looked crestfallen when I told him. sad

On the

Bearfacedchic Sat 10-Aug-13 20:22:25

Stoopid fingers!! On the plus side it does mean that I can do my blood tests and HSG before starting at my new job so I don't have to ask for time off, which is more difficult than you'd expect for a teacher.

I think this month was our best chance. I know when I ov'd and we had sex loads around the time and it still hasn't worked. Sigh. DH has gone to buy chocolate. Yum.

lil1ady Sat 10-Aug-13 20:30:07

sorry bearthanks I'm still keeping fingers crossed for you tho cos spotting is not AF. its not cd1 until there's full flow.

ZingWidge Sat 10-Aug-13 21:38:05

oh bear! thanks

so brave of you to look at the silver lining, I really admire you for that! (hugs)

Bearfacedchic Sat 10-Aug-13 23:40:49

Bizarrely, what I thought was ertd has now disappeared or at least gone into hiding. I thought it was about to start and probably still will but then stopped very abruptly. confused I wish my body would do one thing it the other with some sense of regularity.

lil1ady Sat 10-Aug-13 23:52:15

when r u going to test again bear

Bearfacedchic Sun 11-Aug-13 00:05:16

lil - Think I'm just going to wait for Ertd to turn up and if it doesn't then maybe tomorrow afternoon. I need to know really as I could potentially need to do a day 2 blood test on Monday morning before hot-footing if out of the country Monday pm.

Minion Sun 11-Aug-13 08:42:37

bear I'm still hopeful for you!

Curly86 Sun 11-Aug-13 08:46:46

Come on then ladies how has the POAS gone this morning? I woke up all excited!

In my symptom spotting cave, boobs are still agony and I noticed yesterday that I had a double boob going on so their obviously swollen too! I also fell asleep in the car (luckily not while driving) on a short trip to a friends house? And I have thick CM back

Nessalina Sun 11-Aug-13 08:53:45

Woah. BFP!! grin Clearblue Digi says 'Pregnant 1-2 weeks'.
Fucking hell. There really is something bizarre about seeing it written down! I really felt positive about the lines yesterday, so waiting til today to pee in a cup was a little like waiting for Christmas morning!
No symptoms to report other than the usual I get for AF, soreish boobs, mega hungry, slightly crabby!
