Looking for company! I'm 1dpo now (I think) and already feeling nauseous.

We're TTC#2, DD1 is 10 months, still bf so some luteal phase issues <waves to anyone from the TTC while bf thread>.

We hit all the right days with dtd I think so fingers crossed.

Anyone else?

pxmx Mon 15-Jul-13 16:00:32

Hi wildwaterfalls ill be your company! Im testing on the 27th could possibly do it earlier as my cycle varies by a few days every month but have decided im going to try hard to wait until then.
Have been ttc #1 this is our 7th cycle and have been on a real downer that its not happened already but feel different this month. Think it may be because we were on holiday and im still really relaxed, we diddnt pay much attention really just dtd A LOT! (fairly sure we hit the right days) Its strange because im feeling really different im normally a bit of a stress head but (and maybe its just because of the hol mood) lately im just not stressing the small stuff, long may it last! Im also v emotional i cried twice yesterday (for no real reason) and im not usually the crying type, so theres def something going on with my hormones!(either that or ive finally lost my mind!) Anyways keeping my fingers x for both of us ;)

Fox82 Mon 15-Jul-13 16:07:11

I'll probably test around then as due BFP on 28th.

TTC#1 since dec '12. I used opk's for the first time this month and it seems I ovulate when I thought - don't know if I feel like this is good or bad really?

Fingers crossed for you!

Wildwaterfalls Mon 15-Jul-13 17:01:56

Ooh great, hello both!

Pxmx that does sound very promising indeed. Both the relaxing / dtd on holiday and now the 'feeling different'. I have honestly convinced myself I am already feeling a bit nauseous but it is not really possible yet is it! Besides it is probably the heat.

Fox interesting re OPKs. I find them quite useful to know exactly what is going on. On balance I think it's probably a good thing that you are ovulating as expected, although I know what you mean.

Anyone else bought their tests yet? I have some Superdrug own brand in a drawer somewhere as I think those are meant to be quite sensitive, and also got one of those expensive digital ones but saving it for if I am actually late!

sleepcrisis Mon 15-Jul-13 17:14:35

I am due on 27th. second cycle of ttc DC2 but I don't hold out my chances - I went out on ovulation day and got really drunk sad Don't know why I couldn't control myself, it was a birthday party and I just thought sod it. But I bet its affected my chances. Other than that we dtd 3 times in the 4 days before ovulation so we did do something right. I had a chemical pregnancy last month so feeling a bit desperate for a bfp this month but am cross with myself for potentially ruining my chances. Plus I had a bit row with DP this am and I think stress probably affects your chances!

Good luck everyone!

argylesocks Mon 15-Jul-13 17:47:47

I'm due on 22nd or 23rd. We didn't do it as much this month as we have been but did manage a few in the days prior to my opk smiley so it's still possible. Ttc #2 cycle 8!

I'm actually not as anxious this month so maybe that will turn into good news. It's hard to stay obsessive for months on end! Good luck!

Fox82 Mon 15-Jul-13 17:58:46

I have superdrug ones too wild as I didn't end up needing them last month! Will buy a digital when I get my BFP smile

Cupcake11 Mon 15-Jul-13 18:39:37

Hi ladies, I'm testing on 22nd or 23rd - haven't decided yet!
This is our first month ttc so I know we'll be extremely lucky to get a positive.
I haven't really had many symptoms. I had bleeding gums one morning and I've had a bit of nausea but that could be anything.
Fingers crossed everyone!

sleepcrisis Mon 15-Jul-13 20:48:09

cupcake - I had bleeding gums in the first week of my pregnancies (if you can call a chemical pregnancy a pregnancy! First was successful though and plenty of bleeding gums then)

Wildwaterfalls Mon 15-Jul-13 20:51:56

Hello everyone!

Sounds promising cupcake with the bleeding gums. Fingers crossed! Are you ttc#1?

Sleepcrisis I'm sure it's not the end of the world to have had a few drinks around ov time..Don't think that would really decrease your chances!

Hoping for lots of bfps on this thread!

Fox82 Mon 15-Jul-13 22:13:37

It's going to be a lucky thread I can feel it smile

After a bit of advice... I tried opk's for the first time this month and got positive opk's on both Saturday and yesterday. Does that mean I would've ovulated by now or should I keep dtd?? When am I likely to have ovulated? Could it have been yesterday or as I had a positive opk yesterday would it have been today? Thanks!

Cupcake11 Mon 15-Jul-13 22:20:38

Oh, pleased to hear bleeding gums sounds positive! Forgot to say I had a really bad headache a couple of days ago too - doesn't sound like anything but I NEVER get had aches smile

Sorry I can't help with the ov kits. I'm ttc baby number one so I'm new to all of this!

Cupcake11 Mon 15-Jul-13 22:22:35

Sleepcrisis, I forgot to say that ok sure I read somewhere that the alcohol only passes to the foetus once the placenta has formed (don't hold me to that!) so I'm sure you'll be fine xx

Wildwaterfalls Mon 15-Jul-13 22:47:47

Hi Fox. I've always interpreted my OPKs as being positive just pre ov, although it is not an exact science I think.

My latest OPKs have smileys - flashing ones in the lead-up to ov and then a steady smiley for the day before/of ov.

Wildwaterfalls Mon 15-Jul-13 22:56:16

Sorry that didn't quite answer your question. I guess ov might have happened today then, and definitely would keep going with dtd for a day or so as fertility continues 1 day post ov as well if I recollect correctly.

If only it wasn't so hot... Finding TTC quite tough in this weather!

Fox82 Mon 15-Jul-13 23:18:56

Thanks wild - will try to dtd another 1 or 2 times then if we can. But we feel the same... it's just too hot!

I'm ttc number 1 too cupcake! This is my first month trying opk's as been ttc for 8 months so just wanted to check really (although they still can't tell you if you actually ovulated so don't know why I bother really!) smile

I've heard the same about the placenta too sleep and that apparently it's not until you're 5 wks that its really important

poopyisapig Tue 16-Jul-13 10:16:25

I will be testing 24/25, period due 25th.

I am so scared though. I had a mmc in April, I miscarried at home a few weeks later and it was the worst experience of my life. I am terrified of it happening again (I have an 11 year old ds).

I fell pregnant in feb first month off the pill. I had a lot of stress in my life at the time and was very busy too. I have done my best to try and eliminate stress. I have had two normal periods, bang on time since the last mc, had a full MOT from the dr so all is well.

I want to be pregnant again so badly, but am terrified of mc again.

So far I have had sore breasts for a few days post ovulation, I never get this, I only had this with the pregnancy I lost (ds was born so long ago I can't remember any early symptons!). I am hopeful, but like I said, scared.
8/9 days to go.....

Wildwaterfalls Tue 16-Jul-13 10:19:49

Oh poopy so sorry to hear about your mc. I completely understand you are feeling scared. But such good news that your periods are back to normal and the dr has said everything is fine.

We had two mmc before DD arrived, and I find myself really managing my own expectations now regarding a BFP.

Good luck

poopyisapig Tue 16-Jul-13 10:31:33

Thank you, Wild.

I know it will be hard for dh too. He has already said that when the baby is here he will love it and be the best dad he can be (he's my ds step dad) but that he won't get excited about another pregnancy again as losing the last one was horrible.

That has upset me too, as I know where he is coming from, but I had horrific PND after ds was born, so I will have to bond with a baby while I am pregnant or I worry i will get PND again. BUT, I wouldn't want to get to excited incase the worst happens again, my mc floored me.

I keep changing from hour to hour hoping I will be pregnant/hoping I'm not. I feel crazy! Doesn't help that the past few days I have been bursting into tears over nothing lol.

Vikkijayne2507 Tue 16-Jul-13 10:47:48

Me tooill be testing around 25th as its my bday and i may want to drink am due 27th ish i think

Cupcake11 Tue 16-Jul-13 11:22:14

Oh no, my post disappeared! Sorry to hear your problems Poopy, it sounds like a confusing situation to be in. Do you think your DH will begin to feel excited once he can see your bump growing?

Vikki - let's hope you get an extra special birthday present!

sleepcrisis Tue 16-Jul-13 20:41:50

I'm finding this wait harder than last month. Poopy that situation sounds really tough. I also had PND really badly after DS and since my chemical pregnancy/early m/c last month I can feel its ugly head rearing again. I think we just have to accept that a m/c is devastating (esp. a mmc) and would traumatise most women, and feeling so low now doesn't mean you will suffer PND again. I know lots of women who had PND and went on to have other kids with no depression at all.

Re the alcohol, I wasn't so much thinking of it getting to the hypothetical baby, more that if my body was drunk and sluggish it might affect the motility/health/fertility of all the important functions and eggs and swimmers, for want of a better explanation!

I'm really hoping though. No symptoms yet but only 4dpo and I had no symptoms at this stage with the last two, apart from extreme exhaustion. Actually now I'm worried that I'm not utterly shattered and that must mean I'm not pregnant. argh!

Wildwaterfalls Tue 16-Jul-13 21:38:20

That sounds really hard for you both poopy. I hope you can support each other through the early stages of pregnancy particularly.

Sleepcrisis I wouldn't worry at all - I have never heard of a night out having a negative impact on fertility!

No symptoms here today... In fact almost thought I felt ov type pain?!! Good thing we dtd last night just to be on the safe side. No idea what's going on with my cycle hmm

Cupcake11 Tue 16-Jul-13 21:49:48

No symptoms here either. No more bleeding gums or headaches hmm I have been feeling sick but I think I'm bringing it on myself! Grrr.

poopyisapig Wed 17-Jul-13 08:22:12

Thanks. I don't know what will happen if/when I get pregnant again. Dh is good at totally switching off emotions so I know I will have to cope alone, but that's a whole other issue.

We go on holiday for ten days on the 27th, af is due 25th. When we decided to try this month, dh was hesitant as he didn't want his holiday ruined by testing or finding out i'm pregnant, so I will test on my own and if its a positive ill keep it to myself and pretend to test for the first time when we get home. It's sad but that's just the way things are. I don't have and friends or family either so no one else to tell or talk to either way.

I've still got slightly sore breasts and have bloody nose since yesterday - not constantly bleeding but always there if I wipe, obviously I've been googling and a bloody nose can be a sign <clutching at straws> been feeling slightly crampy too.

Doctorhappy Wed 17-Jul-13 08:29:46

Me! Ttc dc2, dc1 is 14 months. Second month of trying and due on the 25th but not holding out too much hope as dc1 took us a good while (and a fortune in opks, obsessive app use etc etc). Determined not to get obsessed this time....

Doctorhappy Wed 17-Jul-13 11:42:00

Poop just read your posts, so sorry to hear what you have been through and that you have decided will be testing on your own this time - at least you can chat to the rest of us. Remember a past mc does not mean you are any more likely to have another one. So sorry you had to go through all of that, and I do hope you get the result you want and the support you need this time round.

poopyisapig Wed 17-Jul-13 11:49:37

Thankyou. I already have a ds and that pregnancy was fine, so when I fell pregnant the last time, I assumed it would be ok too. Now I have totally different feelings so it's going to be difficult if/when I am lucky enough to fall pregnant again.

I fell pregnant first month of trying with both pregnancies, so I am hoping I have been as lucky this time.

Dh will be a wonderful father, he's fantastic with my ds, it's just the pregnancy part that worries me. My ex husband gave me no support at all when I was pregnant with ds, was not excited about the pregnancy, didn't even want to feel ds kick. He came round when ds was born and he was/still is a great dad, but my pregnancy experience and feeling so alone was the biggest contributor to my PND, I can't go though PND again (although, 11 years on the depression has never really lifted).

Wildwaterfalls Wed 17-Jul-13 12:34:26

Yes poopy please talk to us when you need to! And maybe tell your dh if you get a BFP - it would be so hard otherwise to be the only one who knows!

Welcome doctor, and good luck to you! I know what you mean about spending a fortune on OPKs...

Increased discharge here (tmi) not sure if that's a symptom of anything smile

Doctorhappy Wed 17-Jul-13 13:23:45

Thanks wild - fingers crossed for you, sounds promising!
Yeah last time round I became obsessed with opks and was often doing two a day, and month after month getting BFNs. Looking back I was so stressed and miserable about it all and also it totally took any romance out of our s*x life as it became all about doing it at the "right times". Then the month I finally did get pregnant was the fist month that I had stopped using opks and had decided just to go with the flow - in fact I was convinced that I couldn't be pregnant as we were both away (separately) the weekend that I was sure I was due to ovulate. So this time round I'm determined just to take it easy - I'm sure all those stress hormones don't help the conception process!
Looking forward to next week, I bet we get a least a few positives!

Doctorhappy Wed 17-Jul-13 13:26:56

And poop, sounds like feeling isolated is definitely a big risk factor for you so it might be an idea to plan and access as much support as possible this time if you can - prenatal groups, friends and family etc and keep your midwife informed about how you're feeling and what happened the last time. Sounds like a different set of circumstances this time so hopefully that will help smile

poopyisapig Wed 17-Jul-13 14:03:08

Poop, I literally have no one, no friends, no family. Dh has parents but they live quite far away and I am not close to them, so I am stuck really.

poopyisapig Wed 17-Jul-13 14:05:47

Jesus, I replied to myself lol! I meant dr ..... I blame lack of sleep and hot weather.

I actually made all of my good friends at baby and toddler groups with ds, me a lot of strange people, but found a good few who I had more in common with than babies! Sadly a horrific divorce and moving 300 miles from them saw the friendships end.

Cupcake11 Wed 17-Jul-13 14:12:15

That's really sad Poopy but you have all of us here to talk to when you need to, you shouldn't feel like you're alone. Have you tried talking to your DH about how you feel? Maybe he's saying he won't get excited to protect his emotions but doesn't realise how much it's hurting you.

Symptom-wise, I've been feeling tired and nauseous today but I'm sure it's just the heat. Desperate for my boobs to feel sore smile

sleepcrisis Wed 17-Jul-13 22:28:00

Poopy - all those friends you made at baby groups- you will meet more with the next baby!

Just a quick one from me, but someone mentioned nose bleeds - I also had that throughout my pregnancy and had never had one before or since! And talking of bleeding, I just had my good old bleeding gums!

Fingers crossed everyone

poopyisapig Wed 17-Jul-13 22:34:53

I know I will, that's the wonderful thing about having babies and toddlers, they are a great ice breaker.

Had a chat to dh tonight. I feel a lot better about things.

This might be TMI, blush but we dtd this evening and it felt v strange for both of us. It felt like my cervix was really low down. It was almost painful so we had to stop. This happened when I fell pregnant the last time, one week before my period would have been due, just like now. It lasted for a few days, then felt normal again.

Has anybody else that has been pregnant before experienced this? I know it could be a good sign, but I am now worrying that I have the same symptoms as the pregnancy I lost.

sleepcrisis Wed 17-Jul-13 22:40:46

I have no idea where my cervix is or should be I'm afraid. But if its something you only experienced while pregnant before, then.... Well it might be a good sign?

sleepcrisis Wed 17-Jul-13 22:41:55

I just finished reading your post... Well I feel the same about the bleeding gums. I had that last cycle too when I lost the pg. but I also know I had it jest time round, can you remember that symptom when you were pregnant with Ds?

poopyisapig Wed 17-Jul-13 22:48:56

Ds is 11, I can't remember much! I had hypermerisis from 5 weeks, that was about it. I was young though (22) so although he was planned and we tried for him, I wasn't really as aware of early signs etc as I am now, I was quite naive and happy go lucky back then!

It is horrible having the same signs as with a lost pg. but on the other hand, it's given me some hope.

Dh said he was sure I was pregnant hmm He's now snoring away without a care in the world and I am pottering around the house worrying!

Doctorhappy Thu 18-Jul-13 07:34:26

Poop - a lower cervix is just a sign you have ovulated, not an early pregnancy sign so try not to worry too much about it. Your cervix drops every month just after ovulation -

poopyisapig Thu 18-Jul-13 08:19:19

Hi thanks for that! Yes I know that, I ovulated on the 1Oth, was using the sticks and had all my usual ovulation signs/temp/pains etc.

Maybe it's not cervix being lower (I have no clue what it is tbh) but it did feel very strange, just like the last time I was pregnant. It's never usually like that, around ovulation or not so it got me thinking. It was strange enough got dh to notice too. I've had a google and lots if women say it feels strange.

Oh well, 7 days until my period is due so I will have to wait!

Wildwaterfalls Thu 18-Jul-13 09:45:53

Lots of promising symptoms on this thread! Very exciting! Poopy I'm glad you've had a talk with your DH.

I've had increased need to go to the loo nothing to do with drinking more of course and a bit of nausea. Doing an exercise class this morning - will have to take it easy!

Cupcake11 Thu 18-Jul-13 09:57:46

Does anyone else keep flitting between thinking they're pregnant and then being sure they're not? It's soooooo frustrating not knowing!

I'm quite convinced I'm not at the moment. I normally get really sore boobs in the lead up to AF and I haven't even had that this time, let alone increased soreness sad

poopyisapig Thu 18-Jul-13 10:26:57

Wild - I kept going to the lol yesterday and thinking 'yay, another sign'. But then I remembered I drank 4 litres of water because I was so hot.

I am currently googling 'pregnancy tests 7 days before period is due'.

Fighting the urge to go to the chemist. Last time I spent a small fortune on tests, got a v v faint line 3 days before, only got a strong +v the day before I was due.

I was a wreck all week peeing on any test I could find. I will not do that again! (You all know I probably will)

poopyisapig Thu 18-Jul-13 10:36:04

The only thing I learned from all the testing last time is that the only tests that seem to work for me are first response. I won't be buying a clearblue conception indicator again - I bought two and they were both duffs! Nothing at all on my display. Clearblue sent me replacements but I had to wait a week and by then I knew for sure anyway.

Doctorhappy Thu 18-Jul-13 11:17:49

Cupcake - yes! Part of me feels certain I'm not, no idea why, but then I also keep letting myself think about certain events in the coming months and figure out "I'd be 12 weeks by then" etc. Trying really hard not to speculate too much though as I was really disappointed last month and it took me a good few days to pick myself up again! It's hard though, I really want dc1 and 2 to be close in age and with every month you see that gap growing... Anyway, glad I joined this thread, looking forward to all then testing next week and hoping for a few bfps!

Vikkijayne2507 Thu 18-Jul-13 12:06:07

Yay positive opk immediately

poopyisapig Thu 18-Jul-13 12:32:13

Doctor - I keep thinking like that too.

The frustrating thing is, this is the perfect time for me to fall pregnant. Ds goes to his fathers house for 3 weeks august 12, so if something terrible were to happen at the same time as it did last time it would be then so I wouldn't have to worry about taking care of him. Also, by the time I have to do the school run again, I would be 10 weeks, so hopefully over the worst of the tiredness and I wouldn't be doing the 2 mile round trip everyday. I would also be 20 weeks just before his birthday, I'd never tell him before then as he is very sensitive and desperate for us to have a baby so I'd want to make sure all was fine first, so that would be perfect too.

And the baby would be due around dhs birthday.

Should really try and distract myself with work, this is getting out of hand now!

poopyisapig Thu 18-Jul-13 12:32:49

Viiki - is a pos on one of those an indication of pregnancy then??

poopyisapig Thu 18-Jul-13 16:32:11

I've been having sharp pains on my left hand side today quite low down near my pelvic bone. They have been going on all day. Had these pains with the last pregnancy too, apparently they are implantation pains? The timing for them would be bang on.

Gah, all this symptom sotting is getting daft. I need to relax and forget for a bit! We have been invited to one of ds friends parents house for an end of term BBQ tomorrow night which will be lovely as we've not lived here long so I don't really know any of the parents yet, but I know there will be lots of drink to avoid as the dad is a wine merchant grin. Will have to let dh have my quota just incase.

Cupcake11 Thu 18-Jul-13 17:07:16

AF is due on Monday but I don't know whether to wait until I'm actually late to test - are you ladies testing on the day AF is due or waiting until your late?

Poopy that sounds promising! I wish I was feeling something like that!

poopyisapig Thu 18-Jul-13 17:55:10

Cake I am going to try and wait until as close to next thur (when I'm due) as I can. I spent £60 on tests last time, we are going on holiday on the 27th, I'd rather have a couple of nice meals out!

Will poss test mon/tue though. I'll see how long before I crack.

Doctorhappy Thu 18-Jul-13 19:23:45

Am really going to try and wait until I'm late - I'm due on thurs so have decided that I will test on Saturday if still no AF... I haven't got any tests at home so at least I don't have that temptation! This week before I'm due is always the hardest, so difficult not to obsess over every tiny sensation...
Have you guys all stopped drinking completely? We are going out for dinner on Saturday an would love a glass of prosecco or wine, is that bad?!

Vikkijayne2507 Thu 18-Jul-13 19:30:34

Hi Poopy no it isnt it stands for Ovulation predictor kit, it means I am going to ovulate in the next day or so so I have to keep dtd I did it th elast two days as well. It monitors the surge of hormones before a egg is released, I wont know if ive been successful for another 12 days or so so mydates got a bit mixed up

poopyisapig Thu 18-Jul-13 19:58:53

SOrry Vikki, I didn't realise! I thought I read somewhere about people using ovulation testers as pregnancy testers.

Doctor - I am abstaining totally, but only because I am so paranoid after the MC. I haven't even had any tea for three months so I can avoid caffeine! A glass of wine won't hurt at all.

Cupcake11 Thu 18-Jul-13 20:03:48

Doctor - I'm not drinking during my two week waits but it's only because I'm such a worrier. I'm sure a glass of wine is absolutely fine - according to the NHS it is anyway. Ooo, I could just go for a cold glass of prossecco now!

Cupcake11 Thu 18-Jul-13 20:09:15

Oh, and my boobs are sore. Yey! (Ignoring the fact that they are this time every month)

Wildwaterfalls Thu 18-Jul-13 21:11:09

Hurray for sore boobs smile!

Abstaining from alcohol and caffeine here too, just being super cautious. I have actually been stressing about whether the heat, and all of the running after DD/pushing buggy in the sun can do any harm confused! Promised myself I'd be more relaxed this time...

Vikkijayne2507 Fri 19-Jul-13 08:52:48

Well I still haven't had a temperature rise hoping I will ov today dtd last night and 2 days in a row before that so I really hope im Oving today or my cycle is getting all over the place. I have really tight feeling sorta like cramps but not im hoping it's a sign of ov alongside sore boobs

Doctorhappy Fri 19-Jul-13 09:02:36

Sore boobs all round! Was definitely one of my earliest symptoms last time, before I even knew I was pregnant. I remember one of the main things I noticed last time days before I tested was the complete absence of cramps - normally I get bad period pains in the pays leading up to my period. I'm convinced I feel cramps today but period isn't due until wed so think I must be imagining it!
I really need to get my caffeine intake knocked on the head having read your posts - I'm still drinking two coffees a day and keep thinking I will give them up when I know I'm pregnant. I did this last time though and ended up with a terrible caffeine withdrawal headache for the first few days of knowing I was pregnant which spoilt it a bit! Today I'm just going to have one coffee...
Vikki fingers crossed you've already ovulated, might be an idea just to keep trying for a day or two more just to be safe?!

pxmx Fri 19-Jul-13 11:29:43

Hi all re joining after a few days away have just caught up with all your posts and am so happy its not just me going through all this!! Doctor i wouldn't worry about 1 glass of wine i'm still drinking during the tww but only the odd glass when out to dinner etc, i think its hard enough the odd glass of wine wont hurt and will probably help you relax.I'm also due on thurs but not testing until sat (hopefully) although i do have tests and its taking all of my self control not to start peeing on them now!! I'm swinging from being full sure im preggers one miniute to, convinced i'm not the next this is by far the worst tww ive hadsad My main symptom is bloating my stomach has literally blown up i'm convinced i even look preg! This is def new as i dont normally suffer this & i have not changed my diet at all, i'm just wondering has anyone that's been preg before had this as a symptom early on??

sleepcrisis Fri 19-Jul-13 13:01:28

Lots and lots of symptoms all round! I don't have sore boobs though and I did with 1st pg. but I only really remember them startin to hurt the day edited period was due so there's still time!

Pxmx - are you constipated? I was with 1st pg and remember feeling really bloated too - I think constipation is an early pg sign.

Not sure I can wait a whole week to text !

pxmx Fri 19-Jul-13 13:06:50

Also how could i forget the last few days ive been needing to pee constantly (just been reminded by needing to go AGAIN), i have a bladder the size of a peanut at the best of times but this is something else! Ive been getting up twice a night and peeing like a racehorse! Could this be a symptom this early? If it is i'm slightly afraid that i will be spending my whole pregnancy in or near a bathroom!!;)

sleepcrisis Fri 19-Jul-13 13:42:27

Yes peeing lots defo a symptom. That's another symptom that I'm missing sad

poopyisapig Fri 19-Jul-13 13:44:57

Sleep - don't worry not everyone will get all symptoms. I know how hard it is. I am driving myself crazy!

FWIW, I am pissing like a racehorse too - but then I drink 4ltrs of water a day so I always do grin

Not long until we all find out I guess.

pxmx Fri 19-Jul-13 13:55:19

Hi Sleep not constipated (thankfully) just bloated. I dont have sore boobs either and i normally do (i think) around this time before af, so i'm hoping this is a good sign! Its so hard trying to remain sane but your all helping, just knowing its not just me is comforting smile

sleepcrisis Fri 19-Jul-13 14:01:00

I do on the other hand feel really really sick! Have done for about 2 days. And re peeing, I'm definitely not going that often but I am finding it really hard to keep in when I need to go! Not sure if that says anything...

pxmx Fri 19-Jul-13 14:05:27

Sleep feeling sick must be good??? I'm the same re peeing, when ive got to go ive really got to go!! Quiet frustrating when you've got to go a hundred times a day!!

InMyShreddies Fri 19-Jul-13 14:21:02

Hello everyone! Well I'm due on Tuesday and need some group handholding and help to resist peeing in a stick direction before then.

We only dtd ONCE this month and it was the day before I think I ovulated! Have totally convinced myself I'm pg despite not officially trying til August blush Dh will be proud of his super-sperms if I am but annoyed at lack of, erm trying!!

I wish I'd kept some kind of symptom diary from last time. My tummy feels weird from too many crisps probably and I'm peeing all the time lots of water here too and my main symptom is that I was so shattered a few days ago that I slept almost 12 hours overnight and napped for an hour in the day too, 2 days running! That's a symptom right? Plus I can't get comfy at night as my tummy and legs feel weird, which is like last time.

Probably all in my head though! Good luck everyone x

Wildwaterfalls Fri 19-Jul-13 14:37:53

Welcome shreddies!

Wow lots of symptoms on this thread. Anyone want to have a guess at how many BFPs we will have on this thread? I reckon at least 5 with all these symptoms grin

And who is due to POAS first?? I'm definitely going to hold out until Thursday or Wednesday or maybe Tuesday

pxmx Fri 19-Jul-13 14:43:50

shreddies your nearly there just a few more days! I know how you feel resisting the urge to poas is sooo hard! Ive also been really tired but just put that down to being extra busy, diddnt think of it as a symptom fingers x it is!

Doctorhappy Fri 19-Jul-13 15:56:22

I bet 4 BFPs by the time the week is out! I'll be one of the last - due on thurs so will either find out then when AF arrives or will test on Saturday.

No symptoms at all here!hmmexcept being too bloody hot but think that's me and everyone else in the country at the moment!

Cupcake11 Fri 19-Jul-13 16:15:09

I'm going to guess at three BFPs but hopefully it'll be more! I'm due to test on Monday but as I need to give a stool sample (TMI) for something else that might be enough to handle first thing in the morning! hmm

WannaBeAMommy Fri 19-Jul-13 16:41:53

May I keep you company. Been trying three months doing the calm relaxed it'll happen when it happens.... AF due Sat week. If ive been caught Implant day was wednesday... Only time will tell the tail hehe.

Baby dust for everyone. Good luck with the bfp:-)

argylesocks Fri 19-Jul-13 17:54:07

I think I'm out sad Getting pretty bad cramps already and AF not due till Mon/Tuesday. I was really hoping cycle 8 was going to be the lucky one.

Wildwaterfalls Fri 19-Jul-13 17:55:45

Oh sorry to hear that argyle. Any chance the cramps could be something else? Still keeping my fingers crossed for you.

argylesocks Fri 19-Jul-13 17:56:54

Hmmm unlikely but I guess anything is possible! Thanks

poopyisapig Fri 19-Jul-13 18:14:36

argyl - I had pretty strong cramps in my last pregnancy. I was sure af was about to start, so there is still hope!

My sharp cramping pains have subsided this afternoon, but I am terribly bloated (I don't eat carbs so I don't usually bloat).

Oh, and dh and I had another talk, he now wants to test on thursday smile

argylesocks Fri 19-Jul-13 18:39:08

Thanks poopy that's good to hear. I wasn't ttc the first time around so I definitely wasn't symptom spotting so it's hard to remember! I have had strange ovarian pains lately. No AF yet, just cramps.

When are you due on?

InMyShreddies Fri 19-Jul-13 18:41:37

Argyle I had cramping last time and was sure it was my period on its way!

poopyisapig Fri 19-Jul-13 18:51:36

Argyl - I am due on Thursday.

argylesocks Fri 19-Jul-13 19:24:24

Ok I have renewed hope! Thx

Vikkijayne2507 Sat 20-Jul-13 10:48:52

No longer testing on Thursday as only ovd yesterday later than expected. Ill watch on 25th my birthday sending birthday luck to you all

lifesgreatquestions Sat 20-Jul-13 13:59:14

May I join you guys? I'm due on Wednesday and am watching How To Look Good Naked, a show I'm not really into, and am balling my eyes out over these lovely women taking some big risks (sob) and feeling better about themselves!

We've been ttc for 20 months, two mcs.

lifesgreatquestions Sat 20-Jul-13 14:00:33

Ooh dear, I meant to say I'm crying because of the hormone shift post ovulation.

poopyisapig Sat 20-Jul-13 14:50:28

Hi life!

I was in tears constantly last week too. And I was a complete cow to dh. Feeling slightly better today though. When are you going to test? I am due thur but will probably test tue, I am impatient. Sorry to hear about your mc. My last pregnancy ended that way too, so my head is all over the place at the mo.

argylesocks Sat 20-Jul-13 15:58:36

Welcome life I hope this month is a lucky one for you! Sorry to hear about your mcs. That's awful.

I still have weird cramps but no sign of AF so anything is still possible. Anyone testing this weekend? Some good news is needed!

lifesgreatquestions Sat 20-Jul-13 17:24:47

Hi poppy and argyle! Poopy, I'm sorry to hear about your mc, it certainly changes the mood when continuing ttc. I have managed not to test the last two months so I'm not sure. Sounds like you're both experiencing hormonal shifts, fingers crossed!

Cupcake11 Sat 20-Jul-13 23:24:13

Hi Life, I cry at things like that at the best of times!

I really feel like I'm about to have my period sad

lifesgreatquestions Sun 21-Jul-13 07:31:14

Hi Cupcake, some say those early pg days felt like waiting for af, so who knows. Do you have any other symptoms?

The two times I've been pg my boobs were sore, since my first pg I now get sore boobs every month so that fact that I have them now doesn't count. I'm slightly constipated but that also happens for me in the lead up. I'm a little spotty too, but basically all my symptoms are just commensurate with typical increase in hormones post ovulation. Not long to find out for me, I'm not clockwork but am due Wednesday.

Those pains some of you guys are having. Are they like ovary cramps? Or like womb pinches? I don't have anything this month but in previous times I have, they can be attention grabbing! The time I had a womb pinch it was implantation and by bfp followed soon after so fingers crossed for you guys!

poopyisapig Sun 21-Jul-13 07:51:02

Life I had pinching sharp pains over two days (thur and fri, so day 7 and 8 days past oculation. It was enough to need a lay down at points, tailed off yesterday been a bit crampy on and off.

I am lucky in terms of periods, I never get any cramps before or during, only once in a blue moon if period is heavy. It usually just comes on bang on time with no signs at all leading up to it.

poopyisapig Sun 21-Jul-13 07:52:29

Sorry, the pains were on my left side just above hip bone/pelvic bone

Cupcake11 Sun 21-Jul-13 08:36:43

Life - I've had really sore boobs but I get that every month too. I've also felt a bit sicky and tired but I've got an upset tummy at the moment so all tummy aches etc can be attributed to that.

Poopy - those pains sound promising!

poopyisapig Sun 21-Jul-13 10:58:35

Cupcake, I hope so. Obviously, I spent an enormous amount of time googling them!

However, I don't feel like death warmed up like I did at this point the last time, so I am still not sure. Last time my boobs were sore to the point that they would wake me in the night if I turned over. They are not that sore this time, only if I brush against them or when I take my bra off.

I am feeling horribly bloated though and I just feel a bit strange.

I was starving yesterday and friday though, which is unusual as I low carb so I am never ravenous like that.

It would be awful to test tomorrow, wouldn't it? I know it would probably be negative and I would spent the first day of ds school holiday feeling down when I should be enjoying some time with him.

xwonderingx Sun 21-Jul-13 14:28:33

Hi I'm new can I join smile I'm 5 days but crampy AMD back pain , but i did with my son who's 3 , 4 negative test , will test again on a few days time xx

xwonderingx Sun 21-Jul-13 14:29:35

5 days late sorry x

shellmck Sun 21-Jul-13 20:17:45

hi im new to can I join. I was due to test tomorrow [22nd] but couldn't wait till then, I tested on thursday and got a BFP.

Doctorhappy Sun 21-Jul-13 20:19:44

Hi X! 5 days late, sounds very promising!!
Poopy I would try to resist testing tomorrow if I were you - if you get a negative you still won't know for sure and will be left in limbo.
I've had pretty standard period pains today so feel quite sure AF is on its way. Trying to hold on to the hope that I might be pg still but deep down am pretty sure I'm not. Keep telling myself it's not over till its over though!!

Cupcake11 Sun 21-Jul-13 21:05:23

AF is due tomorrow, I really felt like it was going to come yesterday but it didn't and I haven't really had any period pains today. I feel deep down that I'm not too but I think I'll do the test tomorrow just so I know either way.

X - 5 days late is exciting!

Doctor - here's to hoping our bodies are playing tricks on us!

InMyShreddies Sun 21-Jul-13 21:31:35

I cracked and did a test this morning... negative sad

Not due AF til Tue, I have the cheapo tests that give you the % accuracy for day before period due, 2, 3 days before etc. So today, 2 days before, 87% of pregnant women would get a positive. So I think I'm out for this month, but fingers crossed for you all!

Cupcake11 Sun 21-Jul-13 21:59:34

Oh Shreddies that's rubbish sad On to the next cycle - hope it's a lucky one for you!

Wildwaterfalls Sun 21-Jul-13 22:23:34

Poopy sending you some don't test yet vibes for tomorrow smile! As you say focus on the first day of the holiday!

X five days late - wow - keep us posted!

Shell many congratulations smile

Cupcake you're testing tmw right? Good luck!! Will be checking this thread for an update grin

Doctor sorry to hear re AF cramps. But I've often read about people getting cramps in very early pg...

Boooo re BFN Shreddies. Still a 13% chance though - maybe test again in a couple of days? Who knows how accurate those stats are anyway...

I really don't know what to think here... On the plus side I'm more hungry than usual and still making frequent trips to the loo. But on the downside I have no other symptoms and some spots have appeared on my face which is usually an AF sign hmm.

Cupcake11 Sun 21-Jul-13 22:56:33

I am indeed testing tomorrow. Not feeling very positive so the luck is much appreciated thanks! smile

poopyisapig Mon 22-Jul-13 06:44:12

Cupcake - fingers crossed for you!

Cupcake11 Mon 22-Jul-13 07:58:09

BFN for me hmm good luck everyone else!

xwonderingx Mon 22-Jul-13 08:09:13

Hey , woke with back pain , feel slightly sick but I don't know if that because of worry I just just don't know whats going on, just tested bfn sad now 6days late x

poopyisapig Mon 22-Jul-13 08:18:12

Oh no cupcake, I'm sorry. Do you think af is imminent then? And xwonderingx I wonder what is going on there then?!

xwonderingx Mon 22-Jul-13 08:22:57

I don't know I'm really confused, I don't know what to think , I have more tests coming in the post , so that will be a few days if still negative , doctors it is ! X

poopyisapig Mon 22-Jul-13 08:39:45

Yes, doctor for a blood test would be a good idea. It's very strange!

PixieBumbles Mon 22-Jul-13 09:15:47

Newbie here, can I join? This is only our first cycle of TTC but I have classic early pg symptoms (cramping for the past week or so, nausea, constipation, bleeding gums and just generally feeling rather out of sorts!). I'm trying to keep telling myself it's early days and the chances of a BFP this month are slim but I can't help getting carried away!

AF is due on Friday but as I'm going away for the weekend I'm planning to POAS on Thursday smile

Wildwaterfalls Mon 22-Jul-13 09:20:01

Oh sorry Cupcake! Very sad hmm. Really hope that next cycle will be your BFP cycle! Or is there an outside chance you ov later than you thought? My cycles are certainly all over the place.

Very strange x, dr appointment does sound sensible.

Wildwaterfalls Mon 22-Jul-13 09:21:19

And hi pixie that all sounds really promising. Fingers crossed for you on Thur. I'll be testing then too if I don't cave before

Doctorhappy Mon 22-Jul-13 09:29:58

Oh cupcake that sucks. Still if you haven't had AF yet then maybe there is still a chance? If not I bet there will be enough of us left at the end of this week to keep each other company next month!
X that is weird - are your cycles normally very regular?
Pixie that all sounds very promising!!
Still really crampy here, so annoying and am veering between telling myself there is still a chance until AF arrives and convincing myself that it's all over for this month. It's such a rollercoaster!
Poopy have you managed to resist poas?

poopyisapig Mon 22-Jul-13 09:48:08

I caved.

I was in superdrug at 9am buying suncream for ds and I walked past the pregnancy tests.

So I bought a first response, based on the fact that I feel so tired I could go back to bed and sleep all day and that I have lost 5lbs in weight over the weekend and have been starving.

I have a faint line smile. It's not one of those 'hold it up under a florescent light and you can see it' faint, it's properly there, visible in all light lol, light pink.

Mixed feelings, as I know I have no problem falling pregnant, just staying pregnant.

xwonderingx Mon 22-Jul-13 09:55:16

No my cycles are always a few days late early (mostly early) never 6 days late and never get back pain and I woke with it pretty bad, back is still hurting , but no cramps today , I had both when I was pregnant with my son , its just a waiting game now x

Doctorhappy Mon 22-Jul-13 09:56:59

Oh poopy that's brilliant news! Congratulations!! Have you told DH yet? Try not to feel to anxious, I know you had such an awful experience but it does not mean you are at any more risk than any other pregnant lady of that happening again. And they say that the more symptoms you are experiencing the better in terms of risk of mc - sounds like you have been feeling really grotty which is good (iykwim!). Hopefully there will be at least one or two more bfps from this thread to keep you company and in the meantime we are all here if you are feeling anxious or worried smile
Try to enjoy - its such an exciting time!

poopyisapig Mon 22-Jul-13 10:01:45

No, I won't tell him.

The last time I fell pregnant it was awful, he didn't believe a faint line, made me wait and re test a few days later and then got in a mood because I'm not psychic and didn't realise he'd had a bad day at work. It ruined it for me completely and made me desperately sad.

I am keeping it to myself for now, after my mc last time, nothing is going to ruin this for me, not even him.

poopyisapig Mon 22-Jul-13 10:07:09

Sorry, that all came out a bit wrong.

I want this to be different from the start. I am sure the stress I was under played a part in my mc.

Now that I know, I can talk to dh about when he wants to test. I know that some people may think it's deceitful and wrong, but honestly, I want this time to be different and I had to know because, well, it's my body.

Doctorhappy Mon 22-Jul-13 10:09:16

Oh poopy sorry DH reacted that way last time - not the response you need at all. Do you feel ok about keeping it to yourself? Have you got a good friend or family member you could speak to over the phone? Of course you couldn't know how his day at work had been and more importantly that isn't an excuse for being unsupportive.
X - was the test you did reliable or a cheap one? Might be worth splashing out on a decent one today?

poopyisapig Mon 22-Jul-13 10:11:39

No, I don't have anyone to tell - thank god for mumsnet! After what I went through in April/May this year, I actually feel like a few days of just knowing and keeping it to myself might be helpful to me.

xwonderingx Mon 22-Jul-13 10:15:11

I've used 2 different brands , cheapy £1 ones and asda brand ones abit more pricey , going food shopping later maybe I will pick some more up !

poopyisapig Mon 22-Jul-13 10:18:34

xwondering I know they are all supposed to be the same despite price etc, but honestly, for some reason, first response are the only ones to have been ok for me. Even last time, the first response showed a strong positive (the day after I was due) and some cheapies showed negative.

Doctorhappy Mon 22-Jul-13 10:19:46

That's true poopy, will give you a chance to let it sink in and for you to get used to the idea. Plus it can feel quite nice and exciting to have a secret like that, that only you know. I hope your DH is kind and supportive when you decide to tell him.
X keep us posted! Might be worth just booking a GP app for later in the week as well before they all get booked up.

Wildwaterfalls Mon 22-Jul-13 10:29:49

Oh yay poopy that is wonderful news! Congratulations!! grin

I understand you are feeling nervous about it and if course it is up to you when you feel ready to tell people. Please do keep talking to us though until you're ready to tell people in real life. smile

poopyisapig Mon 22-Jul-13 10:34:03

Doctor - have decided to go private this time (been saving a loooong time). I have a private gp as well, so no real point yet, the last time she said to see her 8/9 weeks and that was just to refer me to the hospital. I am not looking into anything until ten-ish weeks though, just incase, aside from probably going to the EPU if I make it to six weeks. After my MC, they said to come in when I fell pregnant again for a scan to check all is ok.

Off on holiday for a week sat. We were going to travel round spain and france on the train, but thank god we decided to hire a car to do it at the last min!

InMyShreddies Mon 22-Jul-13 12:41:14

Congrats poopy! thanks

Enjoy having it as your own little secret, get really secure in how you feel before you tell DH, and (without tiptoeing round him) tell him when it's a good time. Hopefully it'll go better than last time, maybe he knows he was a dick last time? MCs are tough on both of you but much much harder for the mum. Xx

lifesgreatquestions Mon 22-Jul-13 15:16:32

Congratulations Poopy! I can imagine how you're feeling having been down that road. Good luck. I'll be curious to hear how things go for you with private care.

As for me I am very tired, I want to eat a lot but I think that's just what a body does to try to get energy, I don't feel pg. I nearly bought a test today but instead I bought some relaxation cds and will continue trying to hold out until Wednesday evening.

I am supposed to be working but might take a cool shower and have a little lie down!

argylesocks Mon 22-Jul-13 16:21:07

Congratulations poopy and stay positive. I hope everything works out for you. Enjoy your secret for a few days then test again?

I haven't tested yet but will tomorrow if no AF today. 5 days of on and off cramps but no sign of a period. Very unusual for me. We'll see tomorrow x

Anyone else test today or tomorrow?

xwonderingx Mon 22-Jul-13 16:32:10

Bin getting cramps for few hour still some back pain I'm going to be soo gutted if at shows x

Doctorhappy Mon 22-Jul-13 19:53:35

Argyle are you late yet?
xwondering fingers crossed AF doesn't appear - keep us posted.
Poopy hope you're doing ok and managing to feel positive and excited.
Much less crampy today than yesterday but still feel like AF is imminent. Due anywhere between tomorrow and thurs as cycle varies from 28-30 days...

lj123 Mon 22-Jul-13 20:31:34

Hoping for BFP 24/7/13, my period is due then, don't get paid until 26/7/13 so only Mother Nature can tell!
Last 2 days - lots of cm, back pain, cramping!

Wildwaterfalls Mon 22-Jul-13 20:47:32

Goodness I'm not sure I can wait much longer. Shall I try a sneaky test tomorrow morning? Period due on Thur but I do ov quite late in the cycle (short lp)...

xwonderingx Mon 22-Jul-13 21:30:31

Still pretty bad cramps here just on and off tho I'm pretty sure its coming :'(

Cupcake11 Mon 22-Jul-13 21:36:20

Congratulations Poopy! When is everyone else testing? Hope to see some more bfp soon grin

Doctorhappy Mon 22-Jul-13 21:38:49

Hope AF doesn't arrive x but if it does then try to keep positive, there's always the next month! Really crampy here too hmm so feel you pain... Have you been trying for long?
Wild sounds like you might cave - keep us posted!!!

sleepcrisis Mon 22-Jul-13 21:45:45

Hi, Not been around all weekend but really great to see Poopy's news this evening. Congratulations!

Not due til friday. Don't really want to test until thursday but I have one in the house so might cave before then...

Feeling very nauseous and quite crampy. and a bit dizzy. And waking up desperate to pee in the morning. Basically exactly how I did last month with the chemical... so feeling a bit uncertain.

Fingers crossed for everyone

Wildwaterfalls Mon 22-Jul-13 21:49:11

Just had a word with DH and he has imposed a no caving rule! In fact he said if AF due on Thur why not test on Fri shock

He clearly has no idea what I'm going through here grin

xwonderingx Mon 22-Jul-13 21:57:13

Well my son took over 2 year , started trying almost straight away for number 2 my son is now 3 x

Doctorhappy Mon 22-Jul-13 22:05:58

Oh x that's really tough. We took a while with Dc1, not as long as that but I know how it feels to have month after month of heart sinking unwelcome AFs. Really hope you don't have to wait much longer. And in the meantime at least you have some company in the rest of us... smile

Doctorhappy Mon 22-Jul-13 22:09:18

Ps have just eaten a solero and 3 walnut whips - feel sick now but just felt so greedy! Pretty solid pre-period symptom I reckon...

Wildwaterfalls Mon 22-Jul-13 22:20:10

Or pregnancy cravings doctor smile

poopyisapig Mon 22-Jul-13 22:52:39

Thanks for all the congratulations.

Spoke to Dh tonight about 'when to test' and hewants to do a test this time next week when we are on holiday, he says it will make the holiday more special.

He also added that he knows I am pregnant anyway and has done since last week (I told him about the cramps, sore boobs etc) as I've had all the symptoms, sex was feeling strange and apparently I've been a snappy cow to him and ds at times. He also says I've been like a furnace for the past week (I've been taking my temp, it is higher than normal) and I look shattered (ds asked if I was ill today, so I must look like crap).

I am a lot more positive that this will be better than the last time for me and dh, our relationship is better than it was when I first fell pregnant in feb.

poopyisapig Mon 22-Jul-13 22:55:46

Also, just to add another symptom, I feel like I'm wading through treacle at the mo, and so fuggy headed, like I'm not really here. Ds has a friend over, and his mother was chatting to me at drop off, it felt a bit surreal, like I'd had the bast part of a bottle of wine or something.

And I am exhausted, but am too hot to sleep!

Looking forward to hearing some more brp news from you all over the next few days, fingers crossed!

xwonderingx Tue 23-Jul-13 08:50:25

Congratulations poppy , I woke no period but still crampy and back ache , got no tests today but hopefully they will be here in the post today , we are having a terrible storm here so don't think there will be post x

Doctorhappy Tue 23-Jul-13 12:32:13

No period here yet either, feeling pretty nauseous this morning but trying not to read too much in to it...

xwonderingx Tue 23-Jul-13 13:35:41

Sorry poopy not poppy lol x

poopyisapig Tue 23-Jul-13 14:59:13

I can't stop peeing on sticks to check its all ok. Only pound shop ones though.

I feel really crampy at times, if we hadn't have been ttc I would have assumed my period was coming.

I am horrendously tired today as well.

Doctor Keeping it all crossed for you. No nausea here which I am taking as a good sign as with ds I had my head down the loo from a few days before period was due until I was being wheeled into theatre!

argylesocks Tue 23-Jul-13 15:26:38

Well as suspected no luck for me this month. Fingers crossed for you all.

poopyisapig Tue 23-Jul-13 17:46:03

Oh argyle. Best of luck for next month.

Wildwaterfalls Tue 23-Jul-13 18:26:25

Sorry to hear that argyle. Fingers crossed for you next month.

Doctorhappy Tue 23-Jul-13 19:44:47

Oh argyle that sucks, I hope you're ok and not too disappointed. Xwondering any update? Cupcake did you get your period yet? (Am I right in thinking you got a bfn but no period yet?)
Wild I take it you have resisted testing?
Still no period here, starting to get my hopes up and scared of being disappointed...

Cupcake11 Tue 23-Jul-13 21:14:21

Sorry agyle, horrible isn't it?

Doctor, I got my period today hmm I really hope yours doesn't arrive and you're not disappointed! grin

argylesocks Tue 23-Jul-13 21:45:01

Ugh I'm getting tired of the monthly waits. I think I might back off from trying for awhile. It's exhausting. Good luck ladies!

xwonderingx Tue 23-Jul-13 22:10:04

Still no period here , taking more test tomorrow , maybe in the afternoon , will keep you updated x

Wildwaterfalls Tue 23-Jul-13 22:26:29

Not tested so far, might be a god thing as I have a backache which is usually an AF sign for me. And bloating. So might have saved ourselves the cost of a test hmm

Wildwaterfalls Tue 23-Jul-13 22:26:44

A good thing even

lj123 Tue 23-Jul-13 23:15:59

Due tomorrow, cramps, bloating and just generally feeling pants tonight, ill count myself out hmm

Doctorhappy Wed 24-Jul-13 03:57:17

I'm out - just got up to find period has arrived hmm
Keeping my fingers crossed for the rest of you!

Wildwaterfalls Wed 24-Jul-13 06:48:08

Oh no doctor hmmhmm. Sorry to hear that

poopyisapig Wed 24-Jul-13 08:40:50

Sorry to hear that Doctor.

Doctorhappy Wed 24-Jul-13 09:16:17

Thanks, actually feeling ok about it - was only month two of trying and not sure if my heart was fully in it as I was still having two or three coffees a day and a few drinks once or twice a week etc. Also have a big event coming up a week on Friday so at least I can look forward to that and will be able to have a few glasses of fizz.
Still hmm though - really hope I will be lucky next month! Cupcake and argyle keep in touch if you want company, and poopy keep us posted about how you're getting on. Wild fingers crossed for you and the other ladies left in the running -I will keep watching with interest!!

sleepcrisis Wed 24-Jul-13 09:40:40

Really sorry to hear that doctor. Good that you're feeling ok though, it's the only way to do it. Look forward to next month.

I tested this morning, 2 days early. +ve! But after last months chemical I am not dancing round the house for at least 6 weeks. Fingers crossed.

poopyisapig Wed 24-Jul-13 09:49:43

Sleep that is fantastic grin

I know how you feel. I am trying not to over think things. I want to get through the next two weeks and hopefully, all will be well and i'll go to the EPU at 6 weeks to see if all is ok.

Wildwaterfalls Wed 24-Jul-13 09:50:39

Oh wow sleepcrisis! Fabulous news! Massive congratulations! grin

Great attitude doctor - really admire you for it - will try to be equally positive tomorrow as I get the now inevitable BFN I think. We're off on holiday on Saturday so at least I won't have to worry about food/drink etc. smile

Cupcake11 Wed 24-Jul-13 09:51:46

Sorry to hear that Doctor - yes, let's keep in touch for the next round.

Sleep - that's great news! Try not to worry and let us know that everything's ok.

Wildwaterfalls Wed 24-Jul-13 10:22:07

xwonderingx Wed 24-Jul-13 10:24:17

Still no period , testing later still crampy :/ x

Doctorhappy Wed 24-Jul-13 11:13:19

Congrats sleepcrisis!! Great to see another bfp!!

pxmx Wed 24-Jul-13 11:45:49

Hi all been out of touch for a few days again just caught up with all the news poopy and sleep huge congrats, delighted for you both! smile Any one who's out this month sorry for you all & fingers crossed for next month. Doctor i really admire your attitude your a better woman than me!
I'm still in at the moment and have everything crossed but i really dont know what to think. I'm still peeing constantly and the last two days ive felt a bit crappy, a bit of a dull headache etc. No cramps or other signs of af other than being a moody cow, but a tearful moody cow which is different than normal. I'm due on between today and friday (my cycles vary by 2 or 3 days every month) so i'm NOT going to test until sat, but its taking all the will power i have to resist!! Is there anyone left still waiting that can help me refrain??!!

Cupcake11 Wed 24-Jul-13 11:58:13

pxmx - I'm out but I'll try to help! You should try to hold on because getting a negative test is not a nice feeling so why put yourself through it if you might not have to. If only I could practice what I preach! smile

pxmx Wed 24-Jul-13 12:10:17

Thanx cupcake that's what i'm trying to tell myself, ive had that sinking feeling of bfn's before and really dont want it this month. So im strengthening my resolve again and waiting until sat.(unless the dreaded af arrives before) The worst part is knowing there are tests at home i may get dh to hide them from me and not give them back to me until sat!

Cupcake11 Wed 24-Jul-13 12:15:03

Haha - good plan! Although I find it easier to know that the tests are there if I need them, it's just my choice not to use them.

Listen to me, rambling on like I'm an old pro. This was our first month ttc and DH was only at home for three days! We're counting this next cycle as our first month of trying properly.

Let us know if you cave pxmx, don't be too hard on yourself if you do, at least you've waited until AF is due.

Doctorhappy Wed 24-Jul-13 13:13:07

I agree with cupcake - try to resist as seeing a bfn on a stick is such a heart sinking moment. I had SO many when trying to get pg with dc1 and it really wears you down - for some reason finding out when your period arrives seems slightly less harsh than having to see the negative result on a test! This time round I am definitely not even buying a test until the month comes that I am at least a day late... I know once I have them in the house it is too much of a temptation!
Good luck pm, and keep us posted smile

pxmx Wed 24-Jul-13 14:00:58

Thanx doctor i will indeed keep you posted! Ive phoned dh from work and told him to hide the pee sticks and not let me have them until sat morn. I have exactly zero will power it's like having chocolate in the cupboard if its there i have to eat it! If the temptation is removed i will be fine. I know what you mean about a bfn being worse than af arriving somehowsad
Its so weird because every other month ttc by this time ive been utterly convinced that i wasnt preg and that af was inevitable, this month i'm feeling really positive its not that i think i'm def preg just that i actually think i could be if that makes any sense at all??!!!

Doctorhappy Wed 24-Jul-13 14:09:26

Total sense - as I've mentioned we took a fair bit of trying before we conceived dc1 and I remember month after month just 'knowing' I wasn't pg, I didn't feel it at all, then the month that I finally got pg I just suddenly had this really calm sense of knowing that I was - so much so that when I poas I didn't feel any uncertainty as I knew it would be positive. Similarly this month I can't thinking back to that - I had such a strong sense these last few days that I wasn't pg and AF would arrive and it did. Just keep telling myself to be patient and we will get there. I think there is less of a sense of urgency the second time round as if I feel fed up then I can just give DS a cuddle and he cheers me up!
Have you been trying for long px? Fingers crossed your feeling is right, certainly sounds positive!!

pxmx Wed 24-Jul-13 14:41:01

I'm glad its not just me then! We've been trying since xmas so this is cycle 8, not that long i know. Ive had a burst ovarian cyst in the past and also a good bit of laser treatment on my cervix, the doctors diddnt say that i would struggle ttc they just said to see what happens. Its been in my head tho and is probably why ive been a glass half empty kinda girl about the whole thing and not expecting it to happen. This month i'm feeling really positive and hopeful, i hope i'm not setting myself up for an even bigger disappointment but until i know for sure i'm just going to keep wishing my self pregnant!! I'm sure it will happen for you doctor at least having had the ds you know everything is in working order and its only a matter of time before you get that preg feeling again smile

poopyisapig Wed 24-Jul-13 14:44:14

I hope it does work out soon, for you doctor and pxma (and everyone else who hasn't got what they wanted this month.

I am the other way round it seems, I fall pregnant very easily, it's just the staying pregnant part that's hard.

pxmx Wed 24-Jul-13 14:53:13

hi poopy great news on your bfp & keeping my fingers x for you that this time everything will be fine. I'm sure it will be, you should try and relax as best you can worrying wont be good for you. Not easy to do i'm sure but try your best!

lifesgreatquestions Wed 24-Jul-13 15:07:11

Just having a brief sneak on to MN to see if there are any more bfps, no? I haven't tested. I'm due today. Sometimes I think I've started but that's just because I think there might be colour on the paper but only if you super squint. I've checked my history and since I'm not clockwork I think I should give it another day or two. Today would be about dpo 14 and my boobs are LESS sore, so although I do still feel angsty (hormones) and am exhausted that is also AF stuff for me. It would be good to see some more people join poopy though! (and I'd really like to be one of them!)

xwonderingx Wed 24-Jul-13 15:40:05

Hey people tested total bfn gutted I'm pretty sure I'm just late still bad back pain and period pains :'(

pxmx Wed 24-Jul-13 16:17:20

ah xwonder when were you due on? could it just be that you've tested to early? gutted for you sad

xwonderingx Wed 24-Jul-13 16:41:43

I'm sure if I was pregnant these pains would of gone now

xwonderingx Wed 24-Jul-13 16:59:38

Was due 16th but some times a day or so late or early never 8 days I was last on on the 17th last month I'm confused x

xwonderingx Wed 24-Jul-13 17:00:14

Was due 16th but some times a day or so late or early never 8 days I was last on on the 17th last month I'm confused x

poopyisapig Wed 24-Jul-13 17:01:01

Is it worth going to the dr? Maybe having a blood test?

xwonderingx Wed 24-Jul-13 17:02:52

It's period pain mixed with like a upset stomach if you get me ? I woke few days ago with painfull back never happened before , my back is really painfull now I just wish it would hurry up sad x

xwonderingx Wed 24-Jul-13 17:03:35

Think I would rather wait abit longer x

pxmx Wed 24-Jul-13 17:09:12

i agree with poopy could you possibly book a drs appointment for monday? You've waited long enough & given af chance to show up, if she arrives before then you can cancel, if not your better off to go along and get checked out for your peace of mind if nothing else.

xwonderingx Wed 24-Jul-13 17:11:10

I will be going next week , if it doesn't show by then with these pains then there's something not right x

pxmx Wed 24-Jul-13 17:23:06

good plan, best of luck & i hope everything is ok keep us posted

xwonderingx Wed 24-Jul-13 19:46:54

Thank you

Wildwaterfalls Thu 25-Jul-13 08:33:33

Bfn hmm. Thought I'd managed my expectations really well but still disappointed hmm.

Of course I will keep hoping a little but until AF turns up..

xwonderingx Thu 25-Jul-13 08:59:16

Still no af here !

Doctorhappy Thu 25-Jul-13 09:38:22

Oh wild that's rubbish, I really thought you would get a bfp. Hope you're ok, I just try and cheer myself up with all the stuff in the coming month that I will be able to enjoy as I won't be puking and off the wine! It's so disappointing though, especially when you start to let yourself believe...
Px how about you? Any news? And life when are you testing? Fingers crossed for you both. Xwondering it's v.strange, def worth mentioning to your doc I reckon to put your mind at rest. You must feel in a bit of a limbo at the moment.

lifesgreatquestions Thu 25-Jul-13 10:35:34

Sorry about all thebfns so far. I've not tested, might do tonight or in the morning. Af isn't reliable and I've spent enough on wasted tests to warrant waiting. I think if I felt pg I would have tested by now but I have no symptoms, i'm tired but have had some late nights, I also sadly know that symptoms can carry on after a pg has ended...writing that makes me realise how ambivalent I am! Most of us still have not had a visit from af so we can hold out some hope, eh?

pxmx Thu 25-Jul-13 11:31:07

Ah wild that's crap for you, but like you say until af shows you've still got hope smile
No sign of af here i'm literally on egg shells every time i pee (which is still V OFTEN!) I cant quite believe ive got this far i'm bubbling over, i just really hope af is not playing tricks on me & is going to sneak up & strike. My headache has gone today and i feel a good bit better so i think that was due to the thunderstorm we had here last night.
Ive still got no cramps which i'm convinced i normally have a couple of days before i'm due on. If af does show up i know i'm gonna be in bits, ive managed my expectations so well before this month but this month is different, i'm still fairly hopeful that we just might have cracked it!! I'm literally keeping everything crossed & trying my best to keep myself in check & not let my hopes get to high. Thinking of everyone else that's in the same boat & hoping that we all end up with bfps!! ;)

lifesgreatquestions Thu 25-Jul-13 12:26:37

Fingers crossed pxmx, it's hard keeping emotions in check isn't it! I think I might be starting to cramp a bit. Like you I think I normally cramp earlier than this, and this feeling was fleeting and not really cramp like. Will be glad when i'm no longer wondering...

xwonderingx Thu 25-Jul-13 12:48:46

Not had any cramps today yet , will be testing every morning untill next week then I will be going the doctors , its weird somedays feels like I'm coming on others like today its doesn't , don't feel pregnant at all but saying that I didn't with my son :/ only time will tell !?

Wildwaterfalls Thu 25-Jul-13 13:02:11

Fingers crossed for those still in the running, and thanks for the kind words re this morning's bfn..

Will focus on enjoying the holiday, although will probably keep testing if AF doesn't show up soon!

Will be keeping an eye on the thread!

pxmx Thu 25-Jul-13 13:45:58

wild & xwonder your still in until your def out ;) Keeping my fingers x for all of us & slowly loosing my mind waiting..... Ive just found my self rubbing my stomach and saying (out loud wtf?!) if theres a little person in there hang on tight your badly wanted!!!! Thank god i work alone & no one can hear me!!!! Have been to the loo about 20 times today and every time i go i'm taking it as a little victory that af hasnt appeared!! smile

pxmx Thu 25-Jul-13 13:47:27

Oh and wild enjoy your holiday smile

lifesgreatquestions Thu 25-Jul-13 17:15:45

I'm out! Good luck to everyone still waiting!

xwonderingx Fri 26-Jul-13 07:55:16

10 days late still bfn !

Doctorhappy Fri 26-Jul-13 08:18:41

Life so sorry this hasn't been your month either. Have a good feeling about August...
xwondering - very weird! Maybe you should test again?

Wildwaterfalls Fri 26-Jul-13 08:53:14

Really sorry life... Frustrating isn't it.

AF showed up here this morning so I'm now definitely out too hmm.

Still, August is another month.. How about we keep each other company for more testing then?

X that is very odd. Can't remember if you had made a doctor's appointment?

Doctorhappy Fri 26-Jul-13 09:07:18

Wild, what a disappointment, hope you are ok. At least it's the weekend - I plan to cheer myself up with a large glass of wine this evening! Yes let's keep each other company this month, think there are a few of us. I might kick things off by asking if people have 'strategies' e.g do you try between days 10-20? Every day/second day? Or just when you feel like it?
Who's still waiting? pxmx?

Wildwaterfalls Fri 26-Jul-13 10:38:32

Doctor the strategy here will be much the same as last month --because that clearly worked so well--: invest in some of those smiley face OPKs and start tracking. I think where we went 'wrong' maybe was to do lots of SWI early on just in case, and then by the time the smiley appears we'd kind of 'run out of steam' a bit iyswim...

So taking it easy for the next 10-14 days I think.

What about you?

xwonderingx Fri 26-Jul-13 11:11:51

Come out in new spots today another sign of af , I'm going doctors next week

pxmx Fri 26-Jul-13 18:23:11

I'm out, came on this morn sad Cried for half an hour would probably be crying now but i'm still at work so trying to behave like a normal human and not the hormonal mess that i actually am.
This is the first and last time i let myself get my hopes up.
Ill join everyone for next month, tho right now all i feel like doing is giving up completely. And to add insult to injury i'm still peeing constantly only now its starting to sting so i'm fairly sure ive some kind of water infection, probably from all the sex ttc. Fu*k it i'm still gonna drink my body weight in wine tonight.
X def head for the doctors for peace of mind if nothing else.
Until the next round ladies.........

Cupcake11 Fri 26-Jul-13 19:28:45

Sorry to hear about all the new people who are out this month sad

Doctor - my strategy will be regular sex throughout the month and lots around the middle of my cycle.

Haven't got to ov kits yet - would anyone strongly recommend them?

xwonderingx Sat 27-Jul-13 08:08:37

11 days late still negative. , I've noticed my urine is so muggy what could that mean ?

xwonderingx Sat 27-Jul-13 08:09:21

Cloudy ??

Cupcake11 Sat 27-Jul-13 08:25:54

I'm not sure X - what days your doctors appointment? Hopefully they'll be able to give you some answers and put your mind at rest.

xwonderingx Sat 27-Jul-13 08:28:13

It's not till Wednesday , I'm worrying its somthing more now sad x

Doctorhappy Sat 27-Jul-13 09:53:09

xwondering could there be any other reason you haven't got your period yet - have you been under a lot of stress? Or on a strict diet? Have you lost a lot of weight recently? Have you recently come off the pill or had a coil removed? Unfortunately it doesn't sound like you are pregnant this month, it's frustrating not to have your period yet though so you can move on. I bet it's nothing to worry about, hopefully the doc can put your mind at rest.
As for strategy, reckon we will try for every 2-3 days between about day 8 and day 22 just to be safe...
Also I really need to reduce my coffee intake! As of Monday I am sticking to one coffee a day for a week then the week after I'm going cold turkey.
Hope you all had a nice relaxing evening last night and are ready for another month - I had a few glasses of wine and watched some trashy tv, bliss after a long week!

xwonderingx Sat 27-Jul-13 11:12:10

None of the above hun , I think I may have a water infection coming tho I can feel it I used to always suffer these years ago x

xwonderingx Sat 27-Jul-13 11:13:44

Only size 8 no weight to lose I've put a little on in about 2 years that's it nothing changes at all

xwonderingx Mon 29-Jul-13 10:24:07

Still no af here !

Cupcake11 Mon 29-Jul-13 12:16:19

Only two days until your doctor will hopefully be able to tell you what's going on. Hang in there!

Wildwaterfalls Mon 29-Jul-13 14:39:32

Yes x pls let us know what the doctor says!

Pxmx really sorry about your bfn... I had thought this might be your month. Fingers crossed we will all be successful in August, May babies will be lovely smile

Doctor that sounds like an excellent strategy. Good luck on the caffeine front. I'm not a coffee drinker so lucky in that respect, but have the occasional diet coke which I'll try to cut out.

Feeling really annoyed still with my bfn (I know I know, get over it) particularly as I have been extremely ill / nauseous the past few days and feeling very bloated too. If it wasn't for the bfn and AF... Oh well

pxmx Mon 29-Jul-13 17:31:19

thanx wild i thought so too but never mind, as you say a may baby will be lovely dh bday is in may & a baby would be some prezzie for him!!!
x very confusing for you hope the drs app goes well let us know how you get on
best of luck to everyone trying again this month smile

Doctorhappy Tue 30-Jul-13 08:49:38

xwondering let us know how you get on, hopefully there is nothing to worry about.
Wild - I know it is so frustrating! But yes a may baby sounds lovely doesn't it... Fingers crossed for us all this month. Having a wee week off from thinking about it until we are back to trying again later this week!
Poopy are you still here? Have you told DH yet? Hope you're doing ok xx

Cupcake11 Wed 31-Jul-13 11:32:05

Good luck at the doctors today Xwondering - let us know how you get on. Fx for you.

xwonderingx Fri 02-Aug-13 00:00:11

just to let you no i went doctors he just told me wait longer well i just went the loo and ive come on im in shock why am i so late what was with the bad back pain and period pains when i was first due :-{ i could cry

xwonderingx Fri 02-Aug-13 00:01:08

could there be something wrong with me! ?!?

Cupcake11 Fri 02-Aug-13 07:55:11

X you poor thing, it's horrible when our bodies play tricks on us like that. I've found with doctors they rule out anything they believe to be serious and then don't bother to find out what it is - really annoying.

It seems that now your period is here they won't look into it anymore - let's hope it was just a weird one off. If it happens again next month make sure you go back and push for tests to find out if there's a problem.

At least now af is here you can get it out of the way and get going on what will hopefully be the cycle you get your BFP smile

Doctorhappy Fri 02-Aug-13 10:54:40

Yes xwondering I would just try and put the las cycle behind you and write it off as a weird blip. Try to see this as a brand new month and a brand new chance, fingers crossed this will be the month you get your bfp! I remember the month before I got pregnant with dc1 I had a really weirdly long cycle and was convinced I was pregnant but got a bfn and then my period finally turned up. These things just happen sometimes... hmm

pxmx Fri 02-Aug-13 11:54:01

x poor you i had this with my first couple of cycles off the pill and its a nightmare, you know your not preg but you cant move on and try again until af arrives sad At least you can move on now an fingers x it was just a one off thing. Try and keep positive august might just be your month smile

Empriscillavoss Fri 02-Aug-13 13:29:03

Hey can I join guys? smile I'm long to be testing 26th/27th however as my cycles are around 42 days long, by my calculations I won't ovulate till around the 10th of aug so planning lots of 'fun' that week! Hope we all get the positives we're hoping for! X

Empriscillavoss Fri 02-Aug-13 13:29:42

I'm going to be testing*

Wildwaterfalls Sun 04-Aug-13 10:33:16

Oh sorry to hear that x. Very frustrating. As others have said, a good thing at least that AF has now arrived and you can move on yo the next cycle.

And welcome empriscilla, very nice to have you on the thread smile

Sorry I haven't posted for a bit, trying to have a week off thinking about ttc.. But now we're coming up to OPK time again, going to start poas this Tuesday although expect I won't ov until next weekend as it is still happening quite late in the cycle.

Good luck everyone this time round!

xwonderingx Sun 04-Aug-13 11:58:23

thanks all sorry not been on still worried and shocked as to why this happened., plus side my period is just ending so back to trying x

mama31 Sun 04-Aug-13 17:46:22

hi everyone I'm very new to this forum, but had been reading the threads and felt the need to join for some moral support. I came off bc (cerazette) on 22nd july as ttc, I was waiting for a withdrawl bleed but this didn't happen. I then feel I ovulated on 29th july as had all the signs of ovulation and ttc A LOT prior to, on 29th and a few days after. I'm thinking I'm being rather optimistic given that I've just came off bc and haven't had a withdrawl bleed or period. If still no sign I'm going to do a test on 15th august!
I wish u all well!!!

Cupcake11 Mon 12-Aug-13 14:05:09

Hi ladies, is everybody back in the 2ww now?

Wildwaterfalls Mon 12-Aug-13 15:03:10

Hi Cupcake how are you? And welcome mama.

I'm on ov day today so DTD tonight and probably tmw to be sure. My ov is late in the cycle though, so I expect most others are already 2ww-ing...

Cupcake11 Mon 12-Aug-13 19:41:35

Hi Wild! Do you mind me asking what cycle day you ovulate out of how many?
I have a 31 day cycle, I don't chart or use an ov kit so I'm just wondering what's the latest I might ovulate.
Have fun tonight wink

Wildwaterfalls Mon 12-Aug-13 22:21:04

My cycle is usually 31 days, and ov sometimes as late as cd20, although it seems cd18 this month.

I've been complaining on another thread about my ov prediction kit, which started indicating high fertility about a week ago but only indicated peak fertility today - so a bit tired of trying by this point smile

Where are you now in your cycle?

Cupcake11 Mon 12-Aug-13 22:36:28

I'm cycle day 21 today so I'm pretty sure I must have ovulated by now. We've being dtd a lot this month to cover all bases but DH was away for a night around the time I think I ovulated. I know one night won't matter but I can't help but think that was the night we should have done it. Ridiculous!

Hope your ov kit is right and you're fertile now. It sounds frustrating, I can't decide whether you're better off knowing or not!

Wildwaterfalls Wed 14-Aug-13 11:57:53

You've done very well if you've only missed one night I think!!! How are you feeling now? I suppose it's a bit early for symptoms isn't it...

I keep wanting to have a diet coke and then thinking maybe I shouldn't. But I guess maybe one would be ok?

Really fingers crossed for this month!

Cupcake11 Wed 14-Aug-13 13:16:33

I'm sure one diet coke can't hurt smile

I think I'm about 6 days po but I don't know for sure. I had cramping on and off all day yesterday but I've just been diagnosed with IBS so it could have been that!

I'm not really sure what implantation is supposed to feel like anyway - if it lasts all day or if it's a quick one off thing.

Also my boobs are sore but I'm sure it's far too early for any of that being down to pregnancy. I often get sore boobs before AF although it's not due for over a week.

Hope you manage to avoid manic symptom spotting Wild, I've failed.

Cupcake11 Wed 14-Aug-13 13:46:17

Also - I've had quite heavy CM today. Quite thick and white - I thought it was meant to get less after ov? confused

Wildwaterfalls Wed 14-Aug-13 20:30:35

Oh sorry to hear about the IBS. That must be really painful. And annoying that it muddles up the symptom spotting. As if the whole thing isn't confusing enough already!

I'll be right behind you on the symptom spotting front - right now at 2dpo it really is too early but expect I will start feeling all sorts of things soon.

Very annoyingly someone asked me recently if I was expecting number 2 angry. I had a caesarian with DD and still struggling a little bit with the tummy area, and now I'm all paranoid that everyone thinks I'm pregnant when I am not!! Bought some control underwear today! Sorry not sure why I shared all that blush.

Re CM I think the ovulation kind is meant to be clear and stretchy, but don't quote me on that..

Cupcake11 Thu 15-Aug-13 09:47:21

My god, some people are so rude! Even if you do suspect someone is pregnant you wait until they're ready to tell you before asking! shock

Yes, you're right. Ovulation CM is clear and stretchy but I thought CM in general was meant to wind down after ovulation - mine seems to be getting heavier. Oh well, only seven days till I can poas.

Wildwaterfalls Sat 17-Aug-13 17:30:39

How's it going Cupcake? Do you think the CM might be a pregnancy symptom? Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Are you testing mid next week?

Complete absence of symptoms here... I've never felt less nauseous / achy etc in my life! hmm But otoh this is 5dpo so perhaps that is the explanation.... Not giving up yet! Will probably test next weekend or a day or two before

Hi Wild, it's probably not a symptom, I'm just trying to get my head around the whole cm monitoring. I'm not temping or using ov kits so its all I've got to go on really.

I haven't had any symptoms other than really, really sore boobs. Even when I'm just sitting there they're throbbing. I always get sore boobs before af but I checked this thread for when I got them last time and it was just a few days before af, this month it was over a week. As usual it could mean something or it could be absolutely nothing.

Af is due on Thursday but I'm going to wait till Friday before testing. Let me know if you start to get any symptoms...

Wildwaterfalls Tue 20-Aug-13 18:52:57

Hi Cupcake! I think the boobs thing sounds really promising! Any news yet? It's almost Friday isn't it??

I had my first little potential symptom just now, feeling very shaky and lightheaded. But that could very well be my light lunch and active afternoon!

I bought Internet cheap tests this time as I hated wasting the money last month - but that does mean I have 30 tests lying in the bathroom wanting to be done!! No point today do - only 8dpo!

Cupcake11 Tue 20-Aug-13 21:29:47

Feeling lightheaded is a good sign! I've been really upset today because my boobs have been less sore. I had a bit of brown spotting on Sunday which I'd convinced myself was implantation bleeding. I've never had spotting before my period before.
But then I woke up this morning and my boobs felt fine so I don't think it's my month. They do feel tender again now but I'm not sure it would come and go like that if I was pregnant hmm
I keep changing my mind on when I'm going to test, I'm going to try to wait till Friday as I'm off work so can spend it being happy or sad - either way I'd rather be at home!

Wildwaterfalls Wed 21-Aug-13 10:16:25

How interesting re potential implementation bleeding. I think soreness of boobs does come and go, so I wouldn't feel too negative about that.

My lightheadedness only lasted a couple of hours and now I'm back to feeling completely normal / no symptoms again...hmm

Not sure when to start testing - Sunday at the latest I think. Will you last till Friday?

Cupcake11 Wed 21-Aug-13 12:51:39

When is AF due for you wild? I wouldn't worry about no symptoms, how many of them are in our heads anyway? About 90 per cent I'd guess.

I'm going to try to hold out till Friday, AF is due tomorrow and if I'm not pregnant I'd rather find out that way then with a BFN. It's funny though, when I was convinced I was pregnant I had no problem waiting to test, now I think I'm not I just want to do it to know one way or the other.

Wildwaterfalls Thu 22-Aug-13 09:52:38

I know what you mean about the mixed feeling re testing v waiting for AF. When I think I might be pregnant I am quite happy to wait in a way as I want that dream to last! smile Any sign if AF so far?

I'm due on Monday so still a while to go. Have had a kind of symptom though: went to the GP yesterday as DD has a rash, and when he told me off (rather rudely) for essentially wasting his time I burst into tears and couldn't stop crying for most of the rest of the afternoon. Very blush and very unlike me...

Have pulled myself together now!!

Cupcake11 Thu 22-Aug-13 13:54:26

Ha, you poor thing! Doctors make me want to burst into tears every time I see them so that wouldn't be a symptom for me!
No sign of AF yet but I'm trying not to get my hopes up. Let me know if you get any more symptoms!

Wildwaterfalls Thu 22-Aug-13 20:11:22

Thanks Cupcake - angry on your behalf that doctors make you feel like that though!!

Really really hope you'll get your BFP tomorrow!

Cupcake11 Fri 23-Aug-13 06:08:52

BFP Wild! Sorry for the earl post but dh is away and I'm bursting to tell someone! Woke up at three want to test but made myself hold on until six.

Wildwaterfalls Fri 23-Aug-13 07:19:19

Yes yes yes!!! Congratulations!!! So pleased for you. I had a good feeling about it grin

Enjoy celebrating!! How are you feeling?

SoulTrain Fri 23-Aug-13 07:26:55

Hi All,

AF due on Sunday, ttc #2. Days are draaaaaging. I think I have been convincing myself into symptoms but actually just feeling PMT-y.

Congratulations to Cupcake, very exciting!

Cupcake11 Fri 23-Aug-13 07:50:54

Thanks Wild and Soul - I think I'm still in shock grin(although of course it's still very early days.)

Really hope you get your bfp this month too. Fingers tightly crossed for you.

Cupcake11 Sun 25-Aug-13 15:59:47

Did you test in the end today Wild?

Wildwaterfalls Sun 25-Aug-13 20:04:55

No I didn't! Was up at 5am with DD trying to get her to sleep a bit more - really needed the loo and too sleepy to remember to POAS.

But I didn't mind in a way - I have a feeling this isn't our month and I just hate getting bfns so almost rather just wait for AF. I'll see how I feel tmw morning.

So pleased for you though!!! Has it sunk in yet? I'm sure you said before but is this DC1? Hope you don't have morning sickness yet!

Cupcake11 Sun 25-Aug-13 21:47:14

Yes it's our first, it's just about sinking in I think! smile I was sick yesterday morning but I think that's because dh was stuffing me full of so much 'goodness' it was too much for breakfast.

I'll keep checking back to see how you're getting on.

Cupcake11 Sun 25-Aug-13 21:48:12

Thanks for being so happy for me by the way thanks

Wildwaterfalls Mon 26-Aug-13 08:33:57

Yay Cupcake I got a BFP too this morning!!! Can't believe it! gringrin

It's my turn to sleep in this morning but I'm lying here with the test on my nightstand and keep checking it to make sure grin

Bless your DH for trying to make sure you eat well!

SoulTrain Mon 26-Aug-13 08:36:56

Wildwaterfalls Mon 26-Aug-13 08:39:08
