Eggcellent Egg Buddies: are you cycling in June/July/August/Sep tember?

(1000 Posts)
JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 18:29:05

...then come and get your flipping baby here. We are a group of utterly priceless loons who are deadly serious about buying our babies at the highest price (or free if you're a lucky NHS bastard). There are no failures here <smashes gavel>

NookNook Mon 24-Jun-13 18:32:24

I had just written a stonkingly long message on that last bastard thread and it was rejected! Whaaaa! I will do it again...

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 18:34:35

Sorry, NookNook, that can scientifically be explained by my inane wittering sad

eurozammo Mon 24-Jun-13 18:35:10

nook I'd just posted too! I hadn't spotted we were coming up to a 1000. I can't believe we filled the thread in 10 days! The first couple of egg buddies thread ran for about 3 months, hence the titles! This on should be "are you cycling between now an next friday? Come on in!"

motor 5 is brilliant. You're one day behind me in terms of EC timing and one egg ahead of me in terms of numbers. There is a bunch of us really close together at the moment!

NookNook Mon 24-Jun-13 18:37:05

Thanks all for you lovely supportive messages today. Excuse me whilst I man the fuck up.... there! Done.

Mejust amazing amazing lady! You must be over the moon. Or asleep. Either way that's an incredible haul.

Wish and Euro best of luck tomorrow. Best place for those embies to be is in those lovely wombs.

Motor excellent news for you too! When's et planned for?

NookNook Mon 24-Jun-13 18:38:46

Euro this has got to be one of the busiest days on any thread ever! What a week we'll have <claps hands and twirls around>

<tentatively dips a toe in>

May I join you lot? I've been lurking on the old thread, but I thought I man up and say hello. Currently 4 weeks in of my first ICSI cycle.

Karbea Mon 24-Jun-13 18:45:05

Hi Gang.

How are we all?
Motor and MeJust excellent news, lets hope they play lots of Barry White in the lab tonight.

So if all has gone well in my tum eCg could be running into my blood stream from tomorrow. I'm meeting one of the girls i'm cycling with tomorrow for brunch which'll be lovely.

Wish/Euro good luck tomorrow!

NookNook Mon 24-Jun-13 18:47:29

Welcome Maybe! Your story please...?

eurozammo Mon 24-Jun-13 18:53:44

Welcome maybe. What does 4 weeks in mean? (It could be vastly different depending on protocol).

twinklestar2 Mon 24-Jun-13 19:03:20

Welcome maybe!

Juicy - I'm ok. I spoke to my friend again today. Was very upset and explained exactly how I felt quite well (with help from tame's email smile). Feeling much better now, so thank you all for your help and support over the weekend.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake Mon 24-Jun-13 19:12:52

Right, I am trying again to join in again, but you lot go WAY too fast. I am a fairly newbie too maybe and they move so quick that I loose track. I am now either just over three weeks in, or 5 DRing stabs in, or about the start the actual cycle next weekend.

Good luck tomorrow euro and wish.

Fingers crossed for all those PUPO.

MotorcycleMama Mon 24-Jun-13 19:18:44

juicy Bortsch is Russian beetroot soup - delicious!
nook ET may be Weds, Thurs or Saturday depending on progress.
Welcome maybe and drizzle (again)

I'm so impressed with the speed at which we filled that last thread, and imagine this one will be similar.

twinklestar2 Mon 24-Jun-13 19:21:44

I had soup for dinner too! OH made chicken stock from leftover carcass and added noodles and veg too it. It was scrummy.

Karbea Mon 24-Jun-13 19:28:13

I've Coq au Vin for mine. Trying to use up all the food my DH put in the freezer (still think the cycle will fail and will need to only eat healthy un processed/pre made food for next time!)

twinklestar2 Mon 24-Jun-13 19:30:21

He also brought me a bag of peanut m&ms, bless him.

Fabuluce Mon 24-Jun-13 19:39:49

Am I alone in thinking that beetroot tastes of mud? And is it true that after eating a load of beetroot you get red poo?? Eek. Maybe the perfect dinner for juice to do a th'usband wind up with tho... Turns out we aren't having lovingly pan fried chicken with our pasta though motor as it's meat free Monday so you're more than welcome to join us for dinner. Just don't invite juice as she'll nick it all!

Ladies today has been a success for everyone - what an event it has been - crazy big whoops all round!!! I'm quite jealous that I'm not starting down regging until 2 weeks today and should have ET by the end of the month - think I'll be on my own then - motor do you start in July or aug? Will you lot all still want to play at that point or will you have moved on into another chat place? <lonely sniff>??

Fabuluce Mon 24-Jun-13 19:41:46

Welcome maybe and hello again LDrizzlefoShizzle smile

twinklestar2 Mon 24-Jun-13 19:45:13

beetroot DOES taste of mud

tametortie Mon 24-Jun-13 19:49:50

Marking place and back later with very excited about all todays action!! grin

Thanks everyone!

My story: I'm 28, 30 months TTC. Found out in October that DH has congenital absence of vas deferens due to CF gene. Got appointments with our clinic very quickly once our local hospital got there act together. Started on buserilin jabs 4 weeks ago, and am now 6 days in on gonal-f. DH had SSR back in march, so we have some spunk in the freezer. Albeit not a great amount, though the quality was good. Had first monitoring scan today and have follicles sprouting all over the place.

I also think you can get red wee from beetroot. It does taste of mud, but I kind of like that. It's also immense in chocolate cake <virtuous>

eurozammo Mon 24-Jun-13 20:03:10

Mr euro thinks beetroot tastes of mud.

It definitely turns your poo pink....

So you're well on the way then "nomaybe"! Have you been given a likely date for EC?

They have pencilled me in for the 3rd Euro. And please, call me Maybe wink

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 20:10:07

I'm not going to lower myself by commenting on b******t. It's almost as absurd a food choice as l***r, q***n, and o*****s <vomits on passing mouse>

Hello, Maybe, I'm glad you've joined us. Do tell us your most intimate private life history thanks

Zammo, I laughed out loud at this: "are you cycling between now an next friday? Come on in!" It's so true!

Fabuluce, there is a place to go when we are no longer of service on this thread and it's called 'the attic' where you'll find a chair and a piece of rope sad

Thanks Juicy. What intimate facts would you like? grin

Don't mention the Q word <shudders>

nobeer Mon 24-Jun-13 20:16:08

Wow another thread! Welcome Maybe. <waves to everyone else>

I'm having chicken salad for tea. Organic lettuce, I'll have you know! Am following Scary Spice's advice and having a cup of herbal tea too.

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 20:17:22

Let's have a brief recap for Maybe:

Juicy: 41, donor egg IVF in Czech Republic last week. Currently six days past a five-day transfer (6dp5dt). Two AA hatching blasts were transferred but, sadly, there have been rumours of them spotted floating down the river Vlatava in Prague after a particularly brutal poo forced them out sad

lovesLemonDrizzleCake Mon 24-Jun-13 20:19:00

I can do dinner discussions, we had lamb stew. It was good. SB=DH was supposed to cooke but I winged about side effects for a good hour when he got home, so we ate tomorrow's running club easy dinner...

lovesLemonDrizzleCake Mon 24-Jun-13 20:20:44

Oh and I had a pot of peppermint tea after dinner. I am good.

Joos you made me spit my tea at the screen with your rumours about the escapist embryos.

But the personals are very handy. I never got more than half a word in edgeways last thread because I spent most of it at a conference with a colleague reading my laptop screen

Juicy what a shitter wink. Two AA you say? Top notch! See above for my boring story.

As for dinner I too have had a chicken salad. Complete with brown rce, homemade chilli sauce, mint and yoghurt.

NookNook Mon 24-Jun-13 20:33:52

I had vegetable stirfry wih noodles. Very tasty.

Nook: 34 years old. Low ovarian reserve. 3rd ivf attempt. Currently stimming (8 days in). 6 follicles discovered at scan this morning. Had momentary wobble but feeling better now. This willl be last attempt with my scraggy eggs before possible donor round or adoption.

MotorcycleMama Mon 24-Jun-13 20:37:27

motor 41. Currently waiting to see how many of my 5 viable donor eggs have been fertilised. First ever IVF, and went straight to DE as the chances of conceiving with my own were too slight. Previous miscarriage at 12 weeks 2008.

Hi Nook thanks for the low down. I'm sure your eggs are far from scraggy. Glad you're feeling better than earlier.

That's great news Motor. So sorry about your mc. Will you get the call tomorrow?

MotorcycleMama Mon 24-Jun-13 20:46:43

Hi maybe, yes, the clinic say they'll call me between 8 and 8.30. So many people on here have had miscarriages - which makes it very supportive. Good luck with your cycle!

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 20:53:12

Lemon, I was looking to make a lamb stew t'other week 'til I clapped eyes on the price of a shoulder of lamb. The only time £12 leaves my purse is for a pair of 'best' shoes, know wot I mean?

Maybe, I'm afraid we crossed posts earlier rendering my inquisition as rather tardy. Anyway, you've more or less covered the basics, now all we need to know is: a) have you ever been to prison? b) can you fanny fart to order? and c) have you ever had wheelbarrow sex?

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 20:55:13

...^homemade chilli sauce^....someone round here has too much time on their hands hmm

I've had large chips, battered sausage, gravy and a can of Irn Bru well I am eating for three grin

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 20:59:42

My worst miscarriage was the miscarriage of justice I experienced when I realised Yorkie had scaled their bars down to six pieces. Absolute utter bastards. Not sure if I'll ever get over it.

Keeping my fingers crossed Motor

Now Juicy. A) No, B) if I put my mind to it and C) do you mean actually a wheel barrow? The logistics of that are mind boggling....

I won't mention the sauce was to go with homemade kebabs and homemade pittas as that would most definitely confirm I have too much time on my hands

Oh I love a yorkie. Yes I do.

Nokkie73 Mon 24-Jun-13 21:08:48

That's the last time i invite anyone into my pillowy Norks. Not so much as a mention. Pfffffff.

Can you bastards leave a trail of crumbs next time you start a new Fred please.

Nokkie73 Mon 24-Jun-13 21:09:33

Hello maybe

What is your favourite word for lady garden ?

Is this a test Nokkie?! I'll go for the one that seems to be popular with DH at the moment. Beef curtains. Are your norks very pillowy?

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 21:12:12

Oh, Nokkie!! I am so sorry my darling! I forgot to thank you for that beautiful offer of nestling in the crevasse of your coffee-coloured baps.... any road, you never thanked me for saying I loved you whilst funking on ecstasy <pout>

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 21:13:46

Maybe, do not answer the lady-garden question until you have answered mine <firm>

P.s. pliz.

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 21:14:33

My favourite is: axe wound <anti-feminist>

eurozammo Mon 24-Jun-13 21:15:39

Brief update:

euro on cycle 2 of IVF. Trying natural modified this time (low dose stimms). 4 eggs collected yesterday, 2 fertilised, ET tomorrow. I've previously tried one cycle of natural IVF (got one embie, BFP but mc'd) and 2x natural IUI (BFN). I started a conventional IVF cycle last year and went a bit mental downregging, hence the hippy IVF for me. I can't be trusted on drugs.

tametortie Mon 24-Jun-13 21:17:15

Bonjour ma petit champignon smile

motor fab egg numbers- what a clever donor you have and incedibly kind too. When I donated, I gave my donor shit eggs (I didnt know they were shit) and I think I am still being punished hmm

mejust well done you for being brave and well done on 18 eggs. You are winning so far although I think fish is very likely to open a can of whoop-ass all over you with her 58 million follicles.....

fish glad to see e2 is still moving in the right direction. Are they going to see how things are tomorrow then decide whether you will go ahead or freeze??? How are you feeling about all that??

Euro Congrats on 2 embies!!! Did you have a 3 day transfer last time?? Out of interest, do many natural/mild cycles go for blastocyst transfer?

Twink Glad you took some action with your friend- did you get a response? Feeling more positive?

Maybe Welcome to our thread!! Its very fast moving but chip in where possible!! smile

juicy I am going to beat you with your own 6x11 giant turd if you do not stop with the negative vibes. Those embies are snuggled in- I refuse to believe otherwise. They did not fall out with the shit.

lemon hello again! We are relying on you and nooknook to keep us in action in the next few weeks. We are like adrenaline junkies with all this action today. How has DR gone so far? Any side effects?

nooknook Sorry you are feeling a bit low sad I feel the same sometimes about my eggs- we all wobble. xxxx lots of love xxxxx

fab thanks for the porridge idea. DH got me some gluten free oats today. I have succumbed to some pearl barley today then found out it is 5% gluten and felt bad cos I am shit and have failed already. But then realised I need to get a grip, man up and plod on. I'm still practising...

wish I cant believe all 11 of your embies are still going!!! thats amazing. I am very jealous cos all mine are half dead by day 3 envy but also incredibly wistful cos I'm a sucker for a good embie haul. Lucky you xxxxx

karbea when will you test??? I am very hopeful for you xxxx Sooooooo want you to succeed....

choco how are things??? Are you still playing the waiting game? Me too. it sucks.

nobeer how are things with you?? xxx

have I missed anyone??? If so hello smile

I went back to work today. It was a bit hairum scareum because I was bleeding so heavily and had a few grim moments where I thought I had actually bled all over my chair but it was fine. Not as much pain as I have been having and the people in the know were really kind. They had done a collection and bought me some flowers and DH some booze. So sweet.

I had scrambled egg for breakfast with a grilled mushroom, pea and mint soup for lunch and seafood stew for dinner made by my friend. It had pearl barley in though which has gluten in apparently hmm so fail on day 2.

chocolocodowninacapulco Mon 24-Jun-13 21:18:51

Firstly, fab, I'm behind you as EC should be WB 12th August, so please don't bugger off and leave me(that applies to the rest of you too)

juicy I was absolutely fooked 3 days before OTD last time and was pg, just saying. I fell asleep several times at about 9 o' clock while I was sitting at the table doing a poor impression of working. I am nervous and excited for you and please will you stop saying you've pooed them out!!

mejust well done for surviving egg collection, you've done us proud! Can't wait to hear your news tomorrow

euro great to hear about your 2 fertilised eggs. As we both know well it only takes 1. I mean, ffs, I only had one egg despite high dose stims. Good luck for ET tomorrow

wish exciting times, can't wait to hear your news tomorrow. I know it doesn't help, but knowing the embryologist he probably wanted to say something personable and nice, but didn't think about how it might worry you.

nook well done on the follicles growing, 6 is good going

karb hang on in there

motor that's a good number of eggs, fab!

tame how was being back at work?

twinks well done for talking to your friend and glad you're feeling better

Hello to lemon and nobeer and welcome maybe

My history btw - starting #3 at the end of July after #2 ended in mc at 6 weeks. Me, 37, low ovarian reserve. DH had SSR last August due to failed VR.

I had salmon for dinner and whole wheat pasta and a tomato and veg sauce(the salmon was nice, but the rest was as gross as it sounds), DH made a much wiser choice with couscous. A Michelin star chef I ain't! grin

tametortie Mon 24-Jun-13 21:20:07

Axe wound??!!!!!

Thats rank.

I love the c word. cant beat it.

tametortie Mon 24-Jun-13 21:23:22

Heres my story;

tametortie 32, low ovarian reserve, endometriosis, NK cells, all round fucking shitmeister grin currently MC from 3rd cycle of ICSI, 4th Cycle in September. Bad times.

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 21:27:32

You vile misogynist.

chocolocodowninacapulco Mon 24-Jun-13 21:27:38

Fuck, I'm slow at typing!

nokkie sorry, I forgot you<dodges slap 'round the back of head>. You asked about why I was thinking of DE on the other thread, basically we were told all along that it was probably best option due to pitiful AMH of 0.23 and only given 5% chance with OE.

Cons give me some random figures at last appointment and said with this next cycle with OE combined with another one with DE, then I would have 80-90% chance of success, but virtually no chance with just this next cycle, but worth going ahead. Wtf, I'm no Carol Vorderman(thank fuck) but I don't think he can have the best grasp of stats!

Hi fish good news about your levels coming down and you're sounding very positive about possible FET, keep the faith

Nokkie73 Mon 24-Jun-13 21:28:00

Heehee - maybe you can defo stay. Beef curtains is inventive AND very saucy. My own personal favourite at the moment is klopper. Yes, my bristols are very bouncy.

joos I love the fact that you love me. I am sorry that I did not mention it. As a special reward, you can have a go on my pups tomorrow too. And don't pout darling <ridiculously middle class admonishment>

Oh and well done to motor and mejust. Great going girls.

Just saw a trailer with Daniel Craig in it. I soooooooo fucking would.

mejust Mon 24-Jun-13 21:28:16

euro you gave me a laugh, your right if you dont check in here 20 times a day you lose whats going wide awake wont sleep till tonight,im quite sore inside at mo but may ease up tomorrow.

hello maybe

thanks nook how are you?

motor Thats great news 5 eggs ,bet you feel more relaxed now, what day transfer you having ?

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 21:28:29

Tortie, I'm sorry you're still ruddy suffering sad

chocolocodowninacapulco Mon 24-Jun-13 21:31:54

minge is a good 'un, n'est-ce pas?< worries will get accused of pretentiousness> *oi, tame' who you calling a mushroom? Glad work wasn't too bad, that is a horrible feeling when you think you've bled through onto something, the worst. Nice of colleagues to get you some gifts.

twinklestar2 Mon 24-Jun-13 21:34:23

Tame - she apologised profusely, she said she hadn't meant to say I was selfish, more that I'd gone so much into myself, I act like I'm angry with the world and I'm a different person. I've changed so much. I said this is just how I am now and how I might always be. If you can't handle that and support me then don't talk to me. I mentioned from your thread about extending the same level and care I had given her. She agreed. She said she didn't want me to be sad, she wanted me to be positive and she just wanted her friend back the way that she was. I said the ironic thing is you called me selfish when it's incredibly selfish to think about yourself when your friend needs your help and support.

Ahhhh! We are ok now but I will hold back a little bit.

Gosh I've cried so much the last few days sad Was in tears again at work this morning, I've never cried so much since starting TTC!

On another note, I spoke to my bestest friend in the whole wide world on Sunday, ranting about other friend and she's going to come and visit me cause she said i sounded like i was having a hard time. That's so sweet of her.

My history is me and husband, 34, TTC baby number 1 for 2 years. Starting IVF short protocol as soon as period arrives which should be this week.

mejust Mon 24-Jun-13 21:34:31

oh i dont like these pellets up my bum grin

Oh Tortie I'm so sorry. Your work friends sound immense. Pearl barley isn't ok gluten heavy, I wouldn't worry. Have you tried quinoa?

Nokkie klopper you say? I have yet to come across this, but I like to add to my dictionary of vulgarity. I too have a bouncy rack.

Juicy I answered all three of your questions. What were your answers to said questions?

Thank you to all for your warm, slightly vulgar welcome. I feel right at home already grin

twinklestar2 Mon 24-Jun-13 21:36:06

PS - tame, sorry to hear you're still having a rough time sad

tametortie Mon 24-Jun-13 21:38:20

juicy I'm not suffering my darlin'. Not really suffering like people with raging herpes or thrush down to your knees.

I just want to STOP BLEEDING!!! My BFP (pffft!) was 4 weeks ago today and I've been bleeding on and off ever since. I'm just absolutely fucked off with it. And its getting heavier. Today was like a heavy day of a period. Just awful. If this like my last MC, it will probably be fucking 2014 before I get my cyle back and am able to have IVF again.

I'm pissed off today. angry

Somebody slap me.

tametortie Mon 24-Jun-13 21:39:32

is champignon not a guinea pig????

chocolocodowninacapulco Mon 24-Jun-13 21:40:02

mejust you'll get used to them. Have you jut to to use them up the bum until et? They're a pain in the arse wink <unhelpful>

Tame this sounds horriffic. I think you should be pissed off. Good or the soul and all that shit.

chocolocodowninacapulco Mon 24-Jun-13 21:40:39

That was *just got obviously, in plain English

tametortie Mon 24-Jun-13 21:40:48

Twink- I think that is the desired response from the friend!!! well done xxx smile

NookNook Mon 24-Jun-13 21:41:30

Tame you need hugs not slaps!

chocolocodowninacapulco Mon 24-Jun-13 21:42:04

<can't bring self to slap tame>

Cochon d'inde ma petite.

Is it not a portobello shroom Tame?

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 21:44:38

I am seriously sorry for my poor attempt at humour in my 'Yorkie' post. I feel absolutely awful sad

resipsa Mon 24-Jun-13 21:47:02

Bloody hell; it was at 900 posts or so about 12 hours ago! Do (most of) you lot really have jobs or are you secretly just sitting around watching Wimbledon?

Hi maybe and lemon. As for everyone else, hello to you too but way too much going on for me to remember it all. Tame take it easy at work. Motor eek maybe 5 embies. Exciting!

Am so jealous of the rest of you as everyone seems to be DOING something...

Anyone fed up of my story yet? 42, TTC DC2 since Sept 11, MMC March 12, failed IVF May 13, considering DE IVF but bastard husband fucking with my head about it (no, yes, no, not sure - BE A MAN AND MAKE A DECISION you selfish fucker) and will be 43 in Sept so feel I am running out of time.

Talking of which, where the fuck is AF as I'm going nowhere until she shows up again. CD36 and counting with copious amounts of EWCM daily for last two weeks. God, I HATE waiting.

tametortie Mon 24-Jun-13 21:47:05

I dont like wallowing and feeling sorry for myself.

I've even tried to have a cry because I realised I havent really cried at all but I cant.

I'm too pissed off at the bleeding to even cry!!!

<bangs head off table>

tametortie Mon 24-Jun-13 21:49:30

juicy stop apologising for the off the cuff comedy. It makes me laugh!!! You can't offend me. I love you too much smile

resipsa Mon 24-Jun-13 21:50:48

Aah, tame missed your posts when writing mine. So sorry you're pissed off. You probably need to cry. Waiting is shit, isn't it? You want to stop and I want to start. Life is strange, eh?

chocolocodowninacapulco Mon 24-Jun-13 21:51:20

tame giving you a virtual hug lovely. You can get through this and we're all here for you.

resipsa sorry to hear DH still isn't on board.

Am off to bed, early start tomorrow. Try not to fill another thread by the time I check in tomorrow grin You are such a fab bunch <feels soppy>

Nokkie73 Mon 24-Jun-13 21:51:51

Mange tout Rodders.

tame let me also draw you too my bosom. If you really want a slap, I can give you a little tit slap before nestling you in. joos is in there somewhere.

choco that makes sense. I hadn't heard you speak of de before, hence my curiosity.

mejust get 'em up there luv. Just don't make any sudden movements or laugh too much, or it could all go Pete Tong for you.

twinks I am really glad you have sorted everything out with your friend and that your bestie is giving you her love. You do need it.

tametortie Mon 24-Jun-13 21:56:43

Nokkie- would love a big tit slap! Are they normally this big or is it pg related? X

tametortie Mon 24-Jun-13 21:59:15

Respisa- sorry I missed you off my list!! Yes, tis strange sad things with dh not so good?? <holds hand> he will come round xxxx

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 22:00:09

I couldn't cry at Diana's funeral, despite having bought every single Hello magazine issue that she ever graced the front cover of (that would be all of 'em, then).

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 22:04:10

Some advice please, my friends, as I iz worried. I am having pre-AF-style cramps in my groin/very tops of thighs - you know, that dragging feeling? Please tell me this can't be AF. I am eleven days post-EC and my usual luteal phase length is thirteen days. Surely my progesterone injections should keep AF away even if I'm not pregnant?

tametortie Mon 24-Jun-13 22:05:46

Cramps mean nothing juicy- go with it. They can mean about 100 different things. Can't you remember me having horrendous cramps???

resipsa Mon 24-Jun-13 22:10:48

Joos it's called overthinking. My usual LP is 11 days but on the lovely pessaries, it lasted for 18 so the prospect of your pains/cramps being AF are low to zero.

eurozammo Mon 24-Jun-13 22:13:36

tortie I had a 2 day transfer last time too. Natural/mild cycles rarely go to blasto because of the low numbers of eggs, although one of the 10+ers at my clinic got a good number of eggs on a mild cycle and did go to blasto.

You've still got your stabilisers on for the gluten free diet. Don't worry about the teething troubles - gluten hides in lots of unsuspecting places.

joos the cramps is normal, either way. They mean nothing.

Sorry for not namechecking everyone. As I've been reading I've realised just how exhausted I am. Off to be. Night all. This time tomorrow, I should be PUPO. Fuck me. I can't believe I've got to go through all that stress and interminable waiting again. confused

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 22:13:41

"Bonnet de douche, Rodders, bonnet de douche.." <shrugs>

No. I can't, Tortie<self-absorbed amnesiac> It's so weird but all day I've felt like the Borrowers are having a swinging party in my uterus.

Maybe, I missed your answers!! The wheelbarrow is where the bloke literally picks your legs and feet up from behind so only your arms are holding you up off the floor. He then moves in between your legs and penetrates you as he walks you around the room (or Chelsea Flower Show). Th'usband is 6'5" and we managed it in our small hotel room <proud>

resipsa Mon 24-Jun-13 22:15:30

Good luck tomorrow Euro.

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 22:18:09

Thanks, tame, zammo & resipsa. Resipsa, do you mean, then, that as long as I am on progesterone injections AF can not appear?

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 22:19:09

Good luck tomorrow, Zammo and Wish! thanks

tametortie Mon 24-Jun-13 22:20:19

Were you walking round while he shagged you joos??? I am in awe.

DH is rampant at the mo. He keeps jumping out at me naked. But im scared of making the bleeding worse. hmm

tametortie Mon 24-Jun-13 22:21:35

Good luck tomorrow euro xxxx

resipsa Mon 24-Jun-13 22:22:46

J tis possible but unlikely. With that kind of certainty, I might set up my own IVF clinic...

NookNook Mon 24-Jun-13 22:26:09

Giod luck Euro!

Juicy This early on the cramps are likey to be implantation / settling.

This is what I hoped you meant Juicy. I just wanted to check you weren't doing it country bumpkin style grin. Alas, your sexual prowess far outdoes mine <jealous>. I can put my feet behind my head if that counts?

Good luck tomorrow Euro.

Tame my DH is a horny sod at the moment too. Im blaming it whatever pheromones I mst now be throwing off. Thank god he's on nights at the moment.

I'm shattered too. These drugs have affected me more than I thought they would. I'm going o lug my 40 follicles off to bed.

Hope the borrowers let you get some kip Juicy

resipsa Mon 24-Jun-13 22:29:36

Oh and J when I did bleed, it was preceded by a headache and rampant nausea (not usual for me pre-AF and I'm convinced it marked a very early loss) so think Nook right...

resipsa Mon 24-Jun-13 22:31:49

'Scuse me? 40 follicles??? Seriously? God, now really jealous maybe (no bad uncertainty pun intended).

resipsa Mon 24-Jun-13 22:33:35

Top Tip for DH avoidance = MN.

Night all.

That is a point well made Resipsa. Yes 40 follicles this morning. Am planning a cracking omelette.

Karbea Mon 24-Jun-13 22:37:17

Tame I really feel for you, I've never had a mc so no idea how long it goes on for. Have the doctors said?

Can't remember who said they'd do Daniel,Craig? But blurgh he is gross!

Fabuluce Mon 24-Jun-13 22:53:02

Juicy darling - the horrible progesterone pessaries that you have to shove up your foof (see what I did there?) will make you feel like your AF is coming any minute. But it won't cos you've been up duffed with wunder embies. Fear not.

Actually I've always liked lady garden for lady garden. Can't believe it was already taken. sad

Tame - man that is crap sad why don't they do any proper research into miscarriages? Has anyone ever been asked to give feedback on them?? It would be so good to have some idea as to why some people can be done and dusted within days and others like you seem to go through ten shades of shit before coming out the other side. Can't believe you're back at work already. You truly are amazetits.

Talking of which, Noks can I climb in too please <nestles down as it's bedtime>

Fab background - me 40, DH 34, TTC for past 2.5 years, unexplanned sub fertility - ivf in jan this year - bfp then mmc at 8weeks. Second ivf starting now - downregging begins on 8th July - gettiing excited now.

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 22:54:47

Tortie, by 'walking around' I guess I mean being pushed between two twin beds, getting tightly wedged therein and then pulled out again à la Steve Irwin hauling a croc out of a swamp hmm

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 22:58:28

Fabuluce, I am not being invaded by arse bullets; I am having progesterone injections in the boo-tocks. I would imagine your theory is the same whatever method of administration though, right?

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 22:59:49

101 messages in a few hours! shock

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 23:00:18

102 now!

Karbea Mon 24-Jun-13 23:00:21

Juicy why don't you try them in your bum, might be better? I had to do hem that way.

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 23:00:28

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 23:01:28

Karbea, my darling little PUPO, 'boo-tocks' is the bum!

Karbea Mon 24-Jun-13 23:01:38

Scrap that then! I'm on the injections now too. Much better.

Karbea Mon 24-Jun-13 23:02:33

Sorry, lack of sleep getting to me :/

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 23:03:00

Karb, when are you testing? I said I would test on Thursday (9dp5dt) but I am so enjoying this pure hope....I may just delay smile

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 23:08:13

This is a really interesting read about how many embryos should be transferred/age of the egg provider/embryo (or blasto) grading and some other great info: take a look

Karbea Mon 24-Jun-13 23:12:31

That's really interesting. I wonder what percentage of dodgy egg, fragmented, slow growers get their shit together?...

I dunno, I might just wait till Saturday or a might bulk by tests tmr and do a bfn every morning for the next 4 days :/

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 23:14:43

How many days past transfer are you, Karb? Sorry for rubbish memory. You had a three day transfer, no?

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 23:15:45

...loads and loads of weak-looking embryos become babies. You know it, cha...

JuicySausage Mon 24-Jun-13 23:16:19

I'm falling asleep...nanight, Karbea x

Karbea Mon 24-Jun-13 23:18:11

I like this

Good luck for tomorrow euro

MotorcycleMama Tue 25-Jun-13 07:04:30

Good luck euro!! Let us know how you get on.

nobeer Tue 25-Jun-13 07:13:41

Hi tame
I'm ok but got awful migraine type headaches. Does anyone know if this is normal with IVF? Am wondering whether to ring in sick again this morning. I'm putting it down to either hormones, I usually get a migraine at the end of my period. Or it could be the heat. Yes sorry, it's hot where we are.

I've got another gluten free breakfast idea for you. Smoothies/milkshakes. Just blend up the fruit with some yoghurt and milk, and then you've got some protein in there too.

Lifeasafish Tue 25-Jun-13 07:18:34

Wishing good luck to wish and euro. Sorry for getting you all mudled up yesterday.

<sarcastic eyebrow@ juicy I saw that comment re my reading skills, take an early double bitch slap as you'll need it>

I'm back to barts. I've been thinking, my eggs are deterioating aren't they? Surely I'm being coasted for too long? Can anyone give me facts on this for my googling keeps brining up old shit. I've started planning for the next cycle sad

tametortie Tue 25-Jun-13 07:24:48

[nobeer] its probably as the hormones dude. Rest up. Good idea about the smoothies- could use frozen fruit too.

[fish] dont panic yet, it may be ok?? You will get a few good ones at least out of 38follies and IOTO. Keep the faith xxxx

Good luck today to euro and wish and for those waiting for fertilisation numbers xxx ill be watching all day xxx

nobeer Tue 25-Jun-13 07:25:48

My history:
40, live in Spain, ttc nearly 2 years, first time IVFer. Reckon having probs conceiving cos I have hardly any cervical mucus due to Steven Johnson Syndrome 2 1/2 years ago. Don't google it while eating.

tametortie Tue 25-Jun-13 07:27:57

My highlighting has gone to shit... hmm

Wish can't find us!! She sent me a message and my phone won't do links!! How can I make her find us??? [scared]

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu Tue 25-Jun-13 07:29:23

Morning ladies!

I could not find this thread for love nor money! Noticed the other one had reached 1000 and couldn't find the new one. I felt so so alone. I was in a huge dark echoey room and said 'hello, hello, hello' ( that was the echo, I wouldn't say it three times that's just silly). Noone answered...

Thanks for the good luck. I'd better start getting ready. Ill be back later with news and for personals.

Welcome maybe

Lifeasafish Tue 25-Jun-13 07:43:20

I've Images of wish in the desert lime Simba when he has lost everyone.

tame we are going to ask some more questions today. I do not feel resigned I think.
My history: I'm 32 DH 34. Blocked tubes IVF #1. Was stimming but ovaries mutated hmm and now coasting (no stim drugs) for 5 days(fuck that longsad) to reduce E2 in bloods. Waiting for EC.

Nokkie73 Tue 25-Jun-13 07:44:21

Good luck wish and euro. I hope it all goes well for you both today.

Remember, as you go into theatre, you DP/DH should do a little synchronised funking. It is a sure fire way to get a baybee in your tumtum.

Morning to the other lovelies on here.

Noks xx

Thanks Wish! Glad you found us. Talking to yourself is the first sign of madness you know...

Hi Nobeer I have had headaches every day. Luckily I'm not starting my new job for over a month so I can rest up. I honestly don't know how I will cycle with work and a commute!

Good luck Euro

Hope you get some good news Fish

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 07:45:47

Oh, Wish, you poor juicy sausage! If it's any consolation I can't find this thread if I don't access it from 'favourites' confused Thinking of you and zammo today xx

<applies salve to bitch-slap welts> Fish, I'm so frustrated when I can't give you advice, but I've never had to stim or owt so I really can't help you, but can you feel this massive rib-crushing squeeze? That's me, that is <hair strokes and de-lousing not dissimilar to chimps>

Karbea, that is fascinating! Love it. If mine were hatching blasts would I start at day three as my day one? <thick>

I woke up in the wee small hours feeling very pukey and couldn't get back to sleep because of it.

[waves to nobeer] I'm going to google that syndrome whilst I eat breakfast <cavalier>

Wish where are my manners? Are you laying your eggs today?

mejust Tue 25-Jun-13 07:50:24

good luck wish and euro
life are the clinic going to make a decision on ec,do you have more bloods today?

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 07:53:03

Aaaargh! Ugh! Yeeeurrrrgh!! Flipping heck, Nobeer, I was doing fine until I got to the image of the pustular tongue <faints on passing mouse> <stays down longer than necessary for attention>

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 07:53:56

Nobeer, that must have been a dreadful experience. How did you get it and are you cured?

<fans Juicy>

That is quite an affliction Nobeer. How did you contract it? <puts nosey science hat on>

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu Tue 25-Jun-13 08:01:13

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 08:05:58

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 08:07:19

How about: and if any of you pricks MOVE I'll execute every motherfunkin' last one of you!

nobeer I had terrible headaches when downregging, and paracetamol and lots of non-caffeine fluids helped. Once I started on oestrogen they reduced then disappeared.
Good luck wish!
life, can you ask the clinic for a proper appointment with one of the doctors so that you can discuss your situation and the possible risks and options etc, rather than just getting a blood test? You need information. Good luck for today.
As for me, I'm sitting in the car outside work, waiting for the clinic to ring to say whether any of the five eggs fertilised over night. Will keep you posted.

You're an example to us all Juicy

Good luck Motor

Fabuluce Tue 25-Jun-13 08:17:38

Yay - welcome back Wish - I too felt the rising panic of Wherethefuckhavetheyallgonethebastards....oh....heretheyareyay

Good luck to you and Euro today - massive hope and warm snuggly hugs (sadly without the benefit of Noks voluptuous funbags I'm afraid but I'm sure if you ask her nicely she'll let you playsmile).

twinklestar2 Tue 25-Jun-13 08:17:59

Fabuluce Tue 25-Jun-13 08:21:35

ExpatWifey Tue 25-Jun-13 08:24:20

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

Hurrah Expat. It's a tad bizarre snt it? Where are you at now?

mejust Tue 25-Jun-13 08:33:17

thanks expat,any news motor

ExpatWifey Tue 25-Jun-13 08:34:20

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

I'm sorry to hear that expat.

We are very lucky here, the NHS has funded everything. We get 3 fresh and 3 frozen cycles. We were to,d by the urologist that retrieved sperm has no leer chance of fertilising following ICSI. I'm clinging to that anyway.

It knocked DH for six, it massively affected his self esteem. I started stimming 6 days ago after down regging for 3.5 weeks

MotorcycleMama Tue 25-Jun-13 08:39:30

Still waiting.. Got to go into work by 8.45. Don't know whether to phone them or whether that would be counterproductive.

MotorcycleMama Tue 25-Jun-13 08:45:07

4 fertilised. That's 80% fertilisation rate which I think is good. Obviously they will reduce as time passes, but it's a good start.
Good luck to all today. X

That's great news Motor!

Wow, that sounds impressive Expat! We saw one of his colleagues at UCLH for the initial diagnosis, but we were transferred back to Essex for all of our treatment.

NookNook Tue 25-Jun-13 08:52:04

Motor that's amazing news!!!

resipsa Tue 25-Jun-13 09:02:33

Motor that's great. It's a relief to get the call, isn't it?

twinklestar2 Tue 25-Jun-13 09:10:59

Fab news motor!

mejust Tue 25-Jun-13 09:11:47

good news motor 4 out 5 great, are you going to blast or 3 day transfer or unsure yet?.
im still waiting on the call been up early in pain.

MotorcycleMama Tue 25-Jun-13 09:15:36

Hi mejust I'm just going to have to take it one day at a time, and make decisions based on how things are progressing. Obviously it would be good to get to blast, but I don't think the embryo numbers will be enough to risk that, so next best would be a 3 day transfer, but I'll settle for anything!
I'm not surprised you are sore today. I hope you are not working and can take it easy. What's on your agenda today?

Fabuluce Tue 25-Jun-13 09:20:09

Yay for motor!!gringringringrin

eurozammo Tue 25-Jun-13 09:26:12

That's great news motor!

Sorry about the pain mejust. Mine had eased a bit by the day after EC but I was still quite uncomfortable. I found myself walking like a penguin - I think I was trying to avoid any twisting! I also left work early yesterday as I was just feeling a bit "odd". I feel fine and dandy today though, after a good night's sleep. smile What pain is it that you have?

Good luck wish!

Expat no call for us today - we just have to hope the petri dish isn't forlornly empty when we rock up at the clinic. I'm leaving in about an hour.

Pukey, eh joos? <rubs chin thoughtfully> <Goes off to pluck stubble>

I am in awe of your antics. We ran out of energy for anything adventurous after about 6 months of ttc.

tame the last thing I felt during my mc was randy. Isn't there also an infection risk while you are bleeding? It didn't matter for us. Neither of us felt like it for a good while.

Fish and maybe give your ovaries a congratulatory pat for all their hard work.

karbea not long to go until test day now.

nobeer Tue 25-Jun-13 09:34:34

Juicy I did warn you! Fabuluce I'm ok thanks. The after effects can be long lasting/permanent. I consider myself to be very fortunate that I just have dry eyes and a couple of scars on my arms. Oh, and the dry vagina angry which has made it hard/impossible to conceive naturally.
They think it's most likely that I got it from taking an anti epilepsy medication, which ironically I changed to because it was supposedly safe to take in pregnancy. I couldn't get tests done to see if it really was that which caused it because they couldn't risk me getting SJS again. I now have a phobia of taking new medication. I'm taking a high dose of folic acid to counteract the risks AEDs can cause in the potential foetus.

mejust Tue 25-Jun-13 09:53:36

oh im really worried and little upset only 4 fertilized eggs i ahd 7 eggs plus 2 they were unsure about,i may have transfer tomorrow depending on grade and they may only put one back but id like more put back if transfer that early.

eurozammo Tue 25-Jun-13 09:54:13

I've just googled SJS. Blimey, that is pretty nasty! I'm glad you are ok now.

mejust Tue 25-Jun-13 09:58:39

hi euro iv had sharp stabbing pains and uncomfortable hurts to go loo(wee).

motor im just pottering at home at mo,embo said they expect 1 out of 5 eggs to make blast so prob will be transfer tomorrowsad

eurozammo Tue 25-Jun-13 10:01:20

mejust IOTO, remember?

How are you feeling now?

MotorcycleMama Tue 25-Jun-13 10:16:05

Hi mejust I got 4 fertilised too, but that is not bad. Have faith. X

mejust Tue 25-Jun-13 10:38:49

what does ioto mean? yeah i know but a transfer tomorrow would be 2 day transfer which is worrying as they said 5 day blast would be sat transfer

mejust Tue 25-Jun-13 10:40:03

do you think hey will let me have 2 as they just told me if quality ok they only do 1

NookNook Tue 25-Jun-13 10:41:11

Big hugs Mejust I know how you feel - as you know from my panic yesterday! It really does only take one asEuro said. Keep your chin up my lovely. X

NookNook Tue 25-Jun-13 10:42:06

I think it's up to you whether you put one or two back.

mejust Tue 25-Jun-13 10:43:57

sorry but have another question im really worried ohss,is it normal to have some pain bloating day after ec cant walk very fast either

NookNook Tue 25-Jun-13 10:45:45

Sorry Mejust I don't know about that. I'm sure someone else will be along in a minute to answer...

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu Tue 25-Jun-13 11:19:07

Mejust don't panic. I was in a lot of pain until yesterday. I phoned the clinic because I was so worried but they said because I had so many removed and my ovaries were the size of oranges, it'll take a lot to get over it. I found it difficult to go to the toilet too and they're still tender now. Just rest as much as you can and don't overexert yourself. I went for a long walk saturday which made it worse.

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu Tue 25-Jun-13 11:22:04

Well done on the 4 fertilised motor and yes mejust have faith!!

So... I'm back from ET. The doctor I had was pretty much a butcher but the two embryologists and nurse were so so lovely!!

They recommended I put one back because i"m 27 and there was one leading embie so they put that little'un back in. Fingers crossed now! Here goes the 2WW confused

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu Tue 25-Jun-13 11:28:04

One quick question.... I've been trying to research it but theres no clear answer on whats what.

A super brilliant blasto would be 5AA right? It that how it works?

twinklestar2 Tue 25-Jun-13 11:32:04

Congrats on being PUPO, wish!

resipsa Tue 25-Jun-13 11:34:51

2WW starts here, wish. Imagine being described as a "leader" at 5 days old. A bright future ahead! Yay!

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu Tue 25-Jun-13 11:35:18

Thank you smile

resipsa Tue 25-Jun-13 11:35:57

Oh I am jealous of your embie and your youth!

twinklestar2 Tue 25-Jun-13 11:37:23

I spoke to my best mate on Saturday. She split with her boyfriend a couple of weeks ago because of his drinking and going out. Get a text from her this morning saying she's pregnant. I mean you couldn't make it up could you? I just laughed, have no energy left to cry.

tametortie Tue 25-Jun-13 11:40:53

hello all,

Just quickly want to reassure euro that I won't be doing the wheelbarrow anytime soon!! wink

Can see there is lots going on by the post count- will catch up properly later!

Another action packed day grin

chocolocodowninacapulco Tue 25-Jun-13 11:41:31

Well done wish, Blimey who was the butcher doctor? Fab news.

mejust if in any doubt ring the clinic.. Try and stay positive if you can about the numbers.

twinks sorry to hear about your friend

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu Tue 25-Jun-13 11:48:53

Choco it was Mr Pampiglione. He didn't say a word to use before the ET and let everyone else talk. We got in the room and he just got straight on with it, ripped my legs open and shoved the clamp up without any warning. He then adjusted it as if he was trying to move a canon and it hurt! I also needed a wee so that didn't help. arse! I would have been nice for him to talk me through it.

Sorry Twinks Its those situations that are the worst sad

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 11:52:32

Motor and Mejust, I am thrilled for you. Mejust, if you want two transferring then put your foot down.

Wish, welcome on board the PUPO train. Toot! Toot! (as Zammo would say)

Nobeer, blimey! you've had it tough, old girl thanks

Golly, I feel awfully pukesome.

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 11:53:46

Wish, what a curmudgeonly doctor. Fancy not even saying hello!

chocolocodowninacapulco Tue 25-Jun-13 11:57:56

joos yeah to feeling pukesome.

wish Mr D did ec tho didn't he? Sorry you had such a crap experience. Based on that I think I made the right decision by delaying my next cycle so that it wasn't with him. Nob

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu Tue 25-Jun-13 12:02:00

Yeah choco Mr D did EC. He's lovely but crazy hehe. He reminds me of Boris Johnson grin

Mejust 4 is still fantastic. Quality over quantity and all that shizzle

Wish amazing news. As Resipsa said, a leader at 5 days old. Future prime mister perhaps?

Twinks. It's like an episode of Eastenders. Well done for laughing.

Hurrah for Vom Juicy.

Oh, and hope you're feeling better Tame

FlowersBlown Tue 25-Jun-13 13:09:38

Argh this thread is mental!

Can't believe how much has gone on here since yesterday. It's excing and nerve wracking reading it all.

My story:
Me and dp both 36, and both female!
Tried 3 cycles of stimulated iui but all abandoned before getting to the business end. Now giving Ivf a go using sperm from an anonymous donor, hopefully next cycle of we can get all the appointments in time.

No nhs funding here. We m

MotorcycleMama Tue 25-Jun-13 13:13:13

Tired and nauseous juicy? Sounds good!
Fantastic news wish.

Fabuluce Tue 25-Jun-13 13:27:54

Ditto motor - juicy it's sounding good to me grin

As for me - I'm knackered (so tired and having exhausting dream/awake/dream/awake sequences every night) and have just started on my anti anxiety drugs which make me feel rubbish, hot sweats, headache, dizzy hmm boo boo boo. They're not making me feel less anxious at all damn them!!

resipsa Tue 25-Jun-13 13:39:17

winkle you're right, you couldn't make that up! I suppose it's hard for us to understand that a pregnancy might not be Good News for some women.

eurozammo Tue 25-Jun-13 14:54:04

IOTO=it only takes one. smile

wish congrats on being PUPO.

My dr was the complete opposite. He gave a full running commentary. "I am now going to clean your vagina" I think Mr euro really enjoyed it....

twink ffs - you really couldn't make it up.

tame I'm glad to hear it. wink

Well, I am normally a right stubborn old bird (did I hear you all saying "no, really?" wink), but on this cycle I appear to be wholly unable to stick to my convictions. First I was unable to say no to the drugs. Today I was unable to say no to putting 2 back. We have always, always said one only. (I have bad experiences around me with twin pregnancies as I think we discussed on the last thread.) But the clinic was pushing us really hard to push both back as they were, I think the technical term is, a bit crap.

I am very disappointed. If a top grade embie ends in miscarriage, I don't have high hopes for two duffers. What's more, I thought that we at least managed to make good embies, but that doesn't seem to be the case and we just fluked it last time. So I don't have particularly high hopes.

And I'm pissed off because the only reason I agreed to try the drugs was in the hope of getting something for the freezer, so I wouldn't have to go through EC so many times. Apparently neither of these would have made it to freezing, which is why thy were pushing us to put both back, so that whole exercise seems entirely futile. I am just feel a bit despondent, really.

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu Tue 25-Jun-13 15:04:58

Oh euro sad do you know what grade they were?
You are also officially PUPO so don't you dare write it off yet missy!

eurozammo Tue 25-Jun-13 15:12:35

1x2 cell, grade 3
1x5 cell, grade 3.

Last time I put back a grade 1.

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 15:14:47

Zammo, I'm so glad you let them put both back. Listen, I know you had a 'perfect' embie last time which ended in mc. There is every reason to believe, then, that your last embie was made from a duff egg (duff eggs make 'good' embryos all the time; they just don't go on to live birth. Also, don't go nuts, but, at 37, one in three of your eggs will be euploid (non-viable). I reckon that may be what happened last time? That means this time around you are on to a winner. I don't care what your embryologists're going to be pregnant smile

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 15:16:27

Sorry, Zammo, I meant aneuploid.

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 15:19:41

I honestly do not know how they can tell anything from a day two embryo. On day two I had a five-cell embryo which went on to become one of my AA hatching blasts. So there.

What is all this 'grading' at day two? I never new my grades until transfer day confused

twinklestar2 Tue 25-Jun-13 15:21:25

Hi Res! I'm actually ok about it. she's my best friend and this child was wanted, so good luck to her and I have to keep hoping and praying that I'm right behind her with my own BFP.

Having a positive day today! But OHs having a rubbish negative day. Argh. When ones up, the other ones down. It's exhausting having to keep boosting each other up.

eurozammo Tue 25-Jun-13 15:22:07

Well day 2 is transfer day for me! But I think the clinic normally grades them as it goes along. As you were always going to blasto, I guess the intermediate gradings were not important.

I know what you mean about the duff eggs. By 40, it's only 1 in 6 that's a goodun, apparently. shock

How's the pukiness?

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 15:23:26

There's too much talk of blastos and perfect grading on here. Let's stop it. Millions of IVF babies came from two- and three-day transfers of not-very-brilliant grading. Come on, ladies! Let's stay focused. We can do this! X

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu Tue 25-Jun-13 15:26:33

Can I hear a hell yeah?

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 15:29:43

Euro, I feel really ill as it happens; I mean miserable waves of nausea. I hate symptom-spotting but here goes:

- I'm so tired I fell asleep stroking one of my cats outside on my concrete garden path

- My skin is the best it has been in months.

- My left nipple hurts (and not when I prod it; when I just move).

- My temps are brilliant - clearly the womb gymnastics were nowt to do with AF.

- Oh, and I got a quite strong positive on my HPT test at 11am this morning grin shock grin

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 15:31:21

twinklestar2 Tue 25-Jun-13 15:32:09

Congrats on being PUPO, Euro.

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 15:33:01

<whispers> I can not believe it. I'm in heaven <swoons> smile

twinklestar2 Tue 25-Jun-13 15:33:13

Yaaaay congrats juicy!!

eurozammo Tue 25-Jun-13 15:35:22

Congrats juicy! That lovely trip to Brno was worth it!

twinklestar2 Tue 25-Jun-13 15:37:47

I knew you were smile

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 15:41:34

Aw, thanks, my friends, I mean it when I say I couldn't have done it without you ( know what I mean). You've let me spend my 1ww spouting stupid, asinine, bonkers stuff and you've also - thanks to all your stories and troubles - helped me to rationalise this TTC nonsense in a way which would have made it bearable had it been a BFN. would have been okay. There are just no guarantees but I knew my only chance, at almost 42 and a miscarriage behind me, would be with a donor egg. You just never think any of this crazy science stuff is going to work. BUT IT DOES! IT REALLY DOES!!

I cannot believe how fortunate I am xx

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 15:45:02

Zammo, all that hatefulness in Brno. The boredom. The schizophrenic abusing his cat. The tears. The Tesco. Can you ruddy believe it? Nothing
has to go smoothly for this to work. You can ignore all your negative feelings and those demons that scream at you that you're a failure and that you'll never be pregnant again. Because they're wrong. They know nothing smile

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu Tue 25-Jun-13 15:52:01

Hold on... Ahem.... What?!!!!

Weeeeeeeehoooooo! Juicy that's amazing! Why wait so long to tell us?!!!

I'm so chuffed for you xxx

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 15:57:10

Thanks, Wish, but I was a little worried it may have been the Pregnyl HCG shot showing up from seven days ago. The truth is, though, that the line is too strong for it to be that. Besides, the embryologist's nurse told me the Pregnyl stays in the body for up to five days only hmm

eurozammo Tue 25-Jun-13 16:00:33

See, we were right, you didn't poo it into a czech sewer!

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu Tue 25-Jun-13 16:04:38

Well Juicy I will do an extra special commando roll for you and you only grin

Karbea Tue 25-Jun-13 16:07:57

Juicy that is absolutely amazing news!

Euro my embies are worse this time, my eggs and sperm that made them were worse, but it is what it is, and babies are made from embies like ours so stay positive or else! Ps my acupuncturist said if you want yo be negative at this stage it doesn't matter, so feel free to have the odd woe is me hour or two!

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 16:10:37

<watches Wish in dumbfounded awe>
<feels sick from watching rolls>

Zammo! I can't believe they survived that deep sea leviathan also known as my turd.

eurozammo Tue 25-Jun-13 16:11:50

You missed "the wheelbarrow" off your Brno summary, joos.

karbea last time I was 100% negative throughout. I couldn't believe that IVF could possibly work for us as there was no reason sperm and egg shouldn't have met loads of times over the 2+ years we were trying.

I have acu later.

Karbea Tue 25-Jun-13 16:15:42

It's best to be positive whilst the eggs are growing as, is it cortisone??? Can help egg growth. When they're back in they mainly look after themselves so it doesn't matter what you do to a certain extent.

eurozammo Tue 25-Jun-13 16:20:11

I've never heard that before. I'm not usually positive or negative before EC. Just a complete nervous wreck a couple of days before collection

FlowersBlown Tue 25-Jun-13 16:32:33

Juicy that's brilliant!!

I had a good feeling!

Juicy that is amazing, amazing news! Well done old chap!

Euro I'm keeping everything crossed for you.

nobeer Tue 25-Jun-13 16:40:00

Juicy Hoorah! What wonderful news!

resipsa Tue 25-Jun-13 16:45:43

Joos fan-bloody-tastic. It was sounding good! You are now my heroine. Lucky bugger (do I mean you or the baby???). grin

resipsa Tue 25-Jun-13 16:50:42

motor I hope joos's news fills you with optimism. Any more news on yours?

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 16:52:44

Aw, everyone is so ace on here. I never, ever thought it would be me being congratulated. You spend so long on these freds cheering others on whilst all the while feeling like wringing their necks when they get their BFPs (or is that just me?) This is proof that it does happen if you do the wheel barrow

The thing is, when others were getting pregnant around me I would wail "It's never going to happen!" Then, when ladies on the freds got BFNs I would still wail "See? It doesn't work for them! Why would it work for me?" I think we are so worn down by TTC and seeing white sticks and periods that we lose the ability to have rational hope. We don't think normally any more, do we? But that doesn't matter - 'cos it does still work, whether you think it can or not smile

I'm sorry. I don't want to come across as preachy just because of this good news. I'm saying it doesn't matter how depressed you simply cannot know what's going to be. And that is good news X

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 16:54:17

Sorry. I sound completely patronising sad

Not at all, you make total and utter sense grin

lovesLemonDrizzleCake Tue 25-Jun-13 17:25:48

You lot can talk - swear - chat... How many of the 7 pages I missed do I need to read?

In case anyone wondered about our story, 34, TTC for three years now, unexplained, 3 natural IUI, first SO IUI BFP+MC at 7+4, 3 more SO IUI BFNs. Now LP IVF and murderously knackered DRing.

Waves from couch watching tennis

lovesLemonDrizzleCake Tue 25-Jun-13 17:28:35

I see what I missed. Congrats juice. I reckon it/they should be called not-quite-a-turd. Wow and well done.

MotorcycleMama Tue 25-Jun-13 17:33:27

JuicySausage you fucking star!! I am absolutely over the moon for you.
Congratulations. You've made me cry. You've also given me hope that this donor egg malarkey can work.

MotorcycleMama Tue 25-Jun-13 17:35:43

resipsa yes, I am remaining positive. I am quite aware that every day it could go well, not so well, or downright badly. So far it has gone well, and I just pray that it continues that way.
How are you doing?

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 17:40:01

Aw, fanks again, slags smile

Motor, stay will happen X

lovesLemonDrizzleCake Tue 25-Jun-13 17:42:22

Congrats on the PUPOs wish and zammo.

Karbea Tue 25-Jun-13 18:02:05

Just saw 3 magpies, that's got to be a sign surely!

twinklestar2 Tue 25-Jun-13 18:04:57

Grrrrr the stupid pharmacy hasn't given my injections that start from day 2, only the ones that start from day 6. I already had to leave work early today before the hospital closed, sooooo annoyed.

POAS when I got in. BFN. That's the hope of a last minute natural conception happening then.

twinklestar2 Tue 25-Jun-13 18:05:17

I meant gone instead of then.

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 18:08:37

Twinks, I know that feeling, but try to look ahead. Ignore the annoying small stuff. Let science do its miracles. Your mates are ace, by-the-way smile

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 18:09:31

Karb, that's the spirit! Do you pray? I'm praying for all of us <magnanimous>

Karbea Tue 25-Jun-13 18:18:06

Juicy I don't really, but I've been praying every night and talking to my dead grandparents.

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 18:42:19

I don't talk to my dead grandparents specifically because the last time I visited them when they were alive my bonkers grandmother accused me of being my dad's girlfriend. I was ten hmm

Fabuluce Tue 25-Jun-13 19:01:35

Whooptyfuckingwhoop that is amazeballs news Juice!!!!! Well done you!!!!gringringringringrin

MotorcycleMama Tue 25-Jun-13 19:18:55

euro I might be day 2 transfer as well, or possibly day 3 depending on how many of the 4 are still going tomorrow, and what grade they are. Stay positive - it's all good! Your clinic will do whatever it takes to maximise your chances, maybe because they are good people, definitely because their prosperity depends on their success rates.

NookNook Tue 25-Jun-13 19:35:40

WHOOHOOO! Well done Juicy!!!!! So so so happy for you!

Euro Are you PUPO? I've missed too much today!

NookNook Tue 25-Jun-13 19:38:48

Ah now I've looked far enough back.

Wish and Euro get down with the PUPO vibe you lovely ladies!!!

chocolocodowninacapulco Tue 25-Jun-13 19:42:00

Oh juicy juicy joos, so fucking happy for you. Didn't want to get your hopes up with the tired thing, but it was all sounding great.

chocolocodowninacapulco Tue 25-Jun-13 19:43:23

Congrats on being PUPO * euro* and wish grin

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 20:10:44

Aw, thanks, Fab, NookNook & Choco xx

eurozammo Tue 25-Jun-13 20:15:54

Thanks for all the good wishes ladies. I have had acu and now feel nice and calm. And fucking relieved that that's all over for a couple of months!

I'm an atheist but my lovely muslim friend and colleague said she would pray for me. I don't care what form of god it is, I'll take all the goodwill I can get.

motor that's very true, and a little voice inside my head says it is the success rates that had them pushing me to put both back. Oh well, the zammo name is clearly accurate - I just can't say no at the moment!

joos is it sinking it yet?

nobeer Tue 25-Jun-13 20:24:41

Just found out what PUPO means so all the best to Zammo and Wish!

Lifeasafish Tue 25-Jun-13 20:43:53

wish and euro PUPO! Thats ace. And I love Juciy's words e the grading.

chocolocodowninacapulco Tue 25-Jun-13 20:55:33

life any news on your levels today? Don't think I missed a post?!

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 20:57:30

Zammo, I am afraid I'm doubting my line in terms of the fact I had the Pregnyl seven days ago. My rational brain tells me the barely-there line from Friday was obviously that injection on its way out so it could hardly be darker today, four days later. know how paranoid we all are...

Lifeasafish Tue 25-Jun-13 20:58:32

For fuck's sake. I really fuckin hate touch screen. I was editing the above.

wish and euro PUPO! That's ace! And I love and echo juicy re the grading. I'm crossed like a pretzel for you both.

juicy absolutely love you testimony on the previous page page and me an DH are cheering for you!!! Absolutely, positively wonderful news! I am over the moon and jupiter for you! Now fuck off to the pregnancy threads smile (just kidding, please don't yet - I need you!) how did mrjuicy take it?

mejust the nurses warned me that after egg collection the follicles fill with fluid which means that it gets more painful afterwards. This was another 'you'll be in even more pain soon ' statement hmm well done on the embryo's you've done so. So well.

motor tame thanks for the advice re talking to doctors etc. We have always seen a senior nurse and today we both grilled them. I was in danger of having the lot cancelled as my bloods were 24k yesterday...

I got a call at 5pm (as I was calling the clinic), they dropped to 8500 odd! So my trigger is at 9.15 and collection on thursday. We are so chuffed, mrfish was really bad with worry/disappointment I was distracted but will explain this soon.

My FsH has fallen off a cliff to 1.2 so i've had 37.5 gonal this evening and I guess I'll only produce a few eggs and quality shall be negligible. But IOTO and this has been a good trial if nothing else. My next cycle will obviously be totally different as My body is just... Different. i'm aiming for a write- up in the lancet smile

Hello to everyone else hope you are doing well and sorry for the limited personals. .

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 20:58:44

Th'usband cried when I told him I was preggo.

Lifeasafish Tue 25-Jun-13 20:59:34

i meant I was editing the above and hit post in error

twinklestar2 Tue 25-Jun-13 21:02:28

Aw that sweet, Juicy.

Question: do you get the trigger shot with your original prescription or do you get it when you go back to hospital for a scan?

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 21:04:54

Crossed posts there, fish. What a lovely post of congratulations, thanks sweetheart. You do make me laugh! Brill news about the 8500 score. Can you tell me how they know what your egg quality will be simply from the FSH (I hear so many women getting pregnant from abysmal FSH scores)?
You never know what's round the corner with this crazy IVF, do you? Yesterday we were preparing for you having to freeze your embryos and tonight you're triggering! I love the unpredictability and weirdness of all this science but I would not have liked to have suffered like you have. Brave, cool lady x

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 21:06:22

*sorry, eggs not embryos.

Lifeasafish Tue 25-Jun-13 21:19:16

The convo this morning - we (nurse and us) were discussing abandoning without collecting at all shock

It was an option at their meeting. Basically they gave themselves a deadline of tomorrow's bloods to get me sorted or they were scrapping it as my body has been so unpredictable and unstable it just ins't safe.

I'm still not out of the woods as there is no prediction or guesstimate of what I might do. But this hurdle has been passed.

Nurse said My fertility does not match my age whatsoever, and it s a shame my tubes were blocked as I would have got preggo easily if it wasn't for that. Seems I must have been born with blocked tubes as I've always been good with contraception, but mrfish and I were using condoms for about 3 years.

And we all know how strict people are with condom use...

tametortie Tue 25-Jun-13 21:20:23

Hi everyone.....

Sorry for a major lack of personals....

Just wanted to say a mahooooooosive congrats!!!!!! to Joos!!!! Way to go!!!! How utterly amazing- I am absolutely over the fecking moon for you and th'usband. grin congratulations. You have cheered us all on for so long, its your turn now. I am a bit sad because I dont want you to leave us sad you wont will you???

Congrats to Euro and Wish for becoming PUPO today- legs crossed xxx

And well done Fish for getting that level really low. IOTO. xxx

I'll be back tomorrow for a proper natter. xxx

love to all smile

Lifeasafish Tue 25-Jun-13 21:22:32

Trigger time shock

Then telly. I've spent the whole day with a distressed friend as her mum had her double mastectomy operation today. She called completely hysterical 20 mins after I left DH after my appointment.

We had a lovely day, i only left her at 6.30 to cross London to come home, as her mum had finally returned to the ward.

Some things have to be put into perspective.

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 21:29:23

Absolutely, fish, poor woman. There's a lot of heartache out there in the world but all we seem to know is our own special brand of infertility pain. Lovely that your friend has you to lean on x

I'm sorry but I am now singing 'Trigger Time' in tune to MC Hammer's 'Hammer Time' grin

Thanks so much for your congratulations, Tortie. How have you been today and what has the bleeding been like? What did you have for gluten-free tea? x

Lifeasafish Tue 25-Jun-13 21:31:46

All done smile 35 days if jabs I've had.

Juicy, I haven't suffered as much as some of you had. It has been very, very hard BUT... I appear to have a huge number of follicles, I have more cycles, I have options.

Many of you here have had greater trials, fewer options and more heartbreak. And its why I am so, so fucking happy for you and mrjuicy.

Shit - I've got misty eyed. That trigger stuff works quickly doesn't it!

Off to watch the telly. i haven't seen the screen for 2 days.

Lifeasafish Tue 25-Jun-13 21:33:27

X-post I was going to post a link to hammer time and label it trigger time!

Great minds, juicy, great minds.

Woohoo!! You're duffed up! Have you told Brno yet? They'll call a national holiday.

eurozammo Tue 25-Jun-13 21:35:24

twink for my NHS round they gave me all the drugs before the cycle. Current clinic only ever gives me the drugs I need to get to the next visit.

fish, the medical mystery. smile How awful for your friend. For me, only the grief of bereavement and the pain of infertility top watching a relative deal with cancer in my shit list.

twinklestar2 Tue 25-Jun-13 21:42:21

Thx euro. Will ask them tomorrow about the other drugs.

tametortie Tue 25-Jun-13 21:42:46

Oh fuck it....

I've bought the laptop to bed with me cos I want to 'see' you all smile

motorwill you get more news on your embies tomorrow? And a better idea of ET??? I've got everything crossed- the 'embryo' calls are my nightmare.

nooknook how are you? are you feeling more positive today?

twinks I got my trigger with my original prescription and kept it in the salad drawer in the fridge.

choco hello lovely- still on countdown?!

expat how are you flower??

mejust I feel sore for a week or two after EC- it is just the ovaries are bruised and swollen and they fill with fluid a bit. Try not to worry. Did you get an update on how many have fertilised?? Have I missed it??

respisa fab nobeer lemon hello!!! xxxxhope you are all ok xxx

I've skimmed through the past couple of pages so sorry if I have missed owt.

I've been sat on the loo for most of the evening hmm I kid you not. Bleeding was fine all day and thought 'woo hoo!!its stopping!' then it came back with a vengeance. Its better now though- hope thats the worst of it over smile Really glad it waited till I got home from work.

Gluten free went REAAALLY well today. Until I ate some galaxy chocolate and checked the wrapper after! euro I have been repeating a mantra about stabalisers to myself!! this is HARD.

Hope everyone is ok anyway. I'm missing you all like mad now I'm back at work sad

tametortie Tue 25-Jun-13 21:49:27

Todays gluten free menu has been....

Gluten free porridge with chia seeds, honey and sliced banana.

Brown rice and quorn chilli for lunch and a satsuma.

Thai green curry with prawns and brown rice.

Just realised ive had 2 portions of brown rice today hmm

Need to get more ideas!!!

fish sorry about your friends mum. Hope she is ok after the surgery xxx you are a very good friend to support your friend whilst dealing with your own worries <hair stroke>

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 21:49:39

Oh, Tortie sad when will it end? Are the clots a thing of the past yet? Do you like your job? <random>

I'm worried about Mejust, as far as I'm aware she hasn't visited the thread all day and it's not like her.

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 21:51:00

Aaargh!! My eyes! My eyes! You mentioned the 'Q' word! <recoils>

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 21:52:02

What would we stroke if we had a bald lass on here?

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 21:52:25

Tortie, are you permitted quinoa?

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu Tue 25-Jun-13 21:54:41

fish I'm so glad your back on track. You had me worried there! You just like too cook up a storm to get everyone worried eh? grin

I'm feeling really low tonight and have absolutely no reason to be. It's uncontrollable and ironic as its the first time in weeks that I've been drug free!
I couldn't eat my tea, it made me feel sick so I've just come to bed. Bed time is also horrible as Mr Wish is sleeping on the sofa due to impossibly bad hay fever, he doesn't want to disturb me. The problem is that I feel like I need him next to me sad

I'm tearing up now! What the chuff is wrong with me?!

Karbea Tue 25-Jun-13 21:55:01

You shouldn't have quinoa.

tametortie Tue 25-Jun-13 21:55:39

Joos I LOVE my job. Its all I've ever done and all I have ever known and I love it.

The clots were fine until today and they have become massive again. About the size of my thumb??? <holds thumb up and voms> I'm not liking the way this is panning out. I hope it stops soon. I'm so utterly tired all the time from bleeding.

I love Quorn!!!! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Quorn.

tametortie Tue 25-Jun-13 21:57:39

wish its the treatment anti-climax. Very very common. All the adrenaline ends and you are left with the outcome of all your efforts. Go with it, have a cry and have some chocolate. Its totally normal to feel a bit 'numb' at this stage xxxxx <hair stroke>

Karbea Tue 25-Jun-13 21:58:13

Did the docs say when you should go see them if it doesn't stop?

tametortie Tue 25-Jun-13 21:58:42

karbea cant I????? Mel B has put it on my meal plan as a substitute for couscous???? I'll check with her- perhaps she means a gluten free quinoa.

twinklestar2 Tue 25-Jun-13 22:00:28

Annoyed with clinic and pharmacy! We've only got one out of the four things we need and I'm due on any day now grrrrr.

tametortie Tue 25-Jun-13 22:00:42

I have a scan on the 9th July. I think if I carry on like this until then, I shall be bled dry. <vomits>

I'm getting terrible flashbacks of last time. My mum said I'm making myself bleed by keep thinking about it sad

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu Tue 25-Jun-13 22:01:42

Thank you tame. I don't feel disheartened or anything but maybe you're right. It was all go and now it's just stopped. I'm hoping sleep will help.

We have Quorn chilli every week so we don eat too much red meat, it's not bad actually but better than the real thing smile

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu Tue 25-Jun-13 22:02:19

Oops, that was meant to be never better than the real thing

NookNook Tue 25-Jun-13 22:03:12

Juicy the lovely Mejust was on this morning. Sounded like she was having a terrible time with her ovaries after ec. I hope she's snuggled up in bed and fast asleep now...

tametortie Tue 25-Jun-13 22:04:15

Quorn is an acquired taste. The sausages are awful envy <<< sick face

NookNook Tue 25-Jun-13 22:05:43

I love all foods hat begin with q. Quorn, quinoa, quiche, quails eggs... er can't think of any more.

tametortie Tue 25-Jun-13 22:07:37

NookNook Tue 25-Jun-13 22:10:39

Quark? Isn't that something to do with particle physics?

Karbea Tue 25-Jun-13 22:11:01

I like the quorn party eggs - yum!

NookNook Tue 25-Jun-13 22:11:47

Also thank you for thinking of me Tame. Yes feeling better. Juicy's news has spurred me on.

Karbea Tue 25-Jun-13 22:12:35

Quinoa does have gluten just not a lot, so I'd imagine Mel B would say you could have it once a week or so.

NookNook Tue 25-Jun-13 22:14:36

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 22:19:24

<slaps Tortie's mum round the gizzard with a poo>

Torts, I promise this will be over before you know it. It will stop all at once.

NookNook, are you yanking my toilet chain? Those 'foods' are not fit to enter my poo pipe. Yes, I remember now that Mejust has taken to her bed.

Twink, I hope you get your drugs, it's terribly worrying when we can't get our hands on them when time is running out. Stay cool x

Tortie, I am impressed at your work ethic; I've never heard such enthusiasm for cleaning train station toilets.

I am terrified there will be no line tomorrow morning sad

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 22:21:31

A lady on my old ante natal thread from last year called her baby boy Quince hmm

tametortie Tue 25-Jun-13 22:22:33

what the frig is quince??!!!

twink what is the hold up with your drugs??

Karbea Tue 25-Jun-13 22:25:47

It's a fruit.

NookNook Tue 25-Jun-13 22:27:19

<sceams> she called her son Quince??

Tame its a fruit. Like an orange. I had to ask DH. I just know you make jelly with it.

Nokkie73 Tue 25-Jun-13 22:31:04

OHMYFUKKITYGOD - so i come in after zumba, a rather irrational shouting sesh at dp followed by a bit of pasta at the local restaurant and, after a night snuggled in my upper pups, joos is only diffed (I had nuffink to do wiv it m'lud). Jupiter's cock, as they say in ancient Rome, she is with child. <quit rambling, you silly slapper> Many many congratulations you insane woman. I am so very pleased for you (but promise no more wheelbarrowing about the place. Fink of de baybees).

Congrats on being pupo wish and euro. Especially euro I will give you no false platitudes or any of that babydust kind of bollocks. What I will say is that I am keeping my fingers and manky toes crossed for you. Stranger things have happened than baybees being created from lower grade embies so <oh come here and have a hug>.

fish thank goodness they haven't stopped the treatment. I will be thinking of you tomorrow.

mejust I hope you are ok my lovely. It isn't like you to be quiet in the evenings so I hope you are doing ok.

tame the fact that you are still bleeding sucks massive cockage. On a far more positive note, at least gluten free is going well. I do find brown rice a bit fucking, um what's the word, oh yeah FUCKING NASTY. So Mel B had better give you an alternative.

fab you expressed an interest in having a bounce on the pups. Feel free. joos has gone to the chippy so they are free.

expat I think it was you who really made me laugh with your random CLUNGE shout earlier in the thread. grin

motor I think you get the call tomorrow, don't you ? Am really hoping things work out for you. You have waited sooooooo patiently !

Hello to everyone else. Too many to name check but love to you all.

In other news, the risk of downs for the nipper is 1 in 1,400 (classed as low) so I am really happy. I think I overdid it at Zumba though so was feeling a bit anxious. I think I had better stick to yoga and swimming.

Noks x

chocolocodowninacapulco Tue 25-Jun-13 22:35:06

That's great news Noks, you must be relieved smile

tametortie Tue 25-Jun-13 22:37:58

Fab news nokkie xxxx

Karbea Tue 25-Jun-13 22:39:24

Arr Nokkie that's a big relief.
Can't believe you've being doing Zumba!

Nokkie73 Tue 25-Jun-13 22:41:03

Awwww fanks ladies. Zumba was not one of my better ideas. Fucking idiot.

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 22:42:02

Aw, fanks, Nokkie. I can't believe you attempted Zumba when you are cooking a baby. Mind you, it's good to get the little 'un on the funk train early, eh? Choo! Choo!

NookNook Tue 25-Jun-13 22:42:52

Excellent news Nokkie! And zumba is never ever ever a good idea. Ever.

tametortie Tue 25-Jun-13 22:45:52

I hate zumba with a passion. I shake my groove thang to pilates once a week hmm

tametortie Tue 25-Jun-13 22:46:51

Does anybody watch Hannibal on sky living?? Fucking freaking me out!!!

If I have a boy, ill call it Hannibal.

Karbea Tue 25-Jun-13 22:48:40

I've no coordination and mix up my left from right... I do bootcamp twice a week.

Karbea Tue 25-Jun-13 22:49:35

I'm watching the online dating thing, got to stay up to midnight for last drug. DH is asleep on the sofa.

Nokkie73 Tue 25-Jun-13 22:53:07

I thought it was a reasonably good idea, but I am basically an idiot. I shall be doing my yoga classes in future. I downloaded a couple of yoga apps onto the aye paddy - much more sensible. I really wanted to get my funk on but I felt like I had two left feet in the class. At least I had an excuse. There was a young bird with absolutely no fucking sense of rhyddim at all in front of me, so at least I didn't look like the twat of the class. There was also a fat red faced bloke who had found his way into the class, primarily to look at jiggly titties, I reckon. Fucking pevert.

Nokkie73 Tue 25-Jun-13 22:54:04

What drug tonight karbs <shamefully asks a fucking obvious question but please tell me anyway>

Nokkie73 Tue 25-Jun-13 22:55:43

tame SHADDAP ! It looks good but I missed all the first episodes. Anyone watching Banshee on Sky ? Now him a hot piece of ass <sleazeball>

tametortie Tue 25-Jun-13 22:56:28

karbea what drug do you take at midnight??!!

nokkie I am shite at zumba. Ended up doing my own sweet moves.

Karbea Tue 25-Jun-13 22:59:18

Ritodrine 4 times a day 6, 12, 6, 12.

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 23:03:45

Didn't Hannibal teck sum elephants up Everest? <erudite>

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 23:05:58

Did someone say 'midnight'???

"..midnight at the oaaaasis...sing yer camel to bed..." <bestiality>

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 23:08:33

Tortie, I have a funny feeling you've watched my all-time favourite film: Napoleon Dynamite. Well? Have you?

Nokkie73 Tue 25-Jun-13 23:15:45

Who is in that one joos ?

twinklestar2 Tue 25-Jun-13 23:15:54

Tame - I was given a prescription for gonal F and orgalutran but when we got home the pharmacy had only given us the orgalutran angry

Didn't help that the pharmacist said to us 'do you know how much these drugs cost?' Then proceeded to work it out and then told us 'if it didnt work that's how much we'd have to pay'. Knob.

twinklestar2 Tue 25-Jun-13 23:18:12

Nokkie your posts make me hoot with laughter. Thank you flowers

Nokkie73 Tue 25-Jun-13 23:19:09

twinks I speed read that and thought you said that the prescription was for Gonal-f and an orangutang. I have taken Gonal-f myself but had no idea how an orangutang could get you a baybee in your tumtum.

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 23:20:25
Karbea Tue 25-Jun-13 23:21:14

I'd quite like an orangutang or any kind of monkey actually.

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 23:22:33

Oi! Thickies! There's no 'n' on th'end of orangutan <rooooolls eyes>

Nokkie73 Tue 25-Jun-13 23:24:48

Um, joos him not a not piece of ass. I can't see him wheelbarrowing about the place. Well, not without those patio doors on his boat race getting very steamed-up.

karbs really ? I would like a pack of bonobos. Mainly because they spend their whole time picking nits out of each others fur or shagging.

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 23:25:16

Karbs, one of my cats looks like this. Proper.

Nokkie73 Tue 25-Jun-13 23:26:00

Don't you mean 'g' fikkie ? shock

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 23:27:37

Oh! Ha! Ha! Ruddy heck I'm a gargantuan ponce blush

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 23:28:16

Right-o, I'm off to sign the Child Benefit forms. Nanight x

JuicySausage Tue 25-Jun-13 23:30:17

We're on the 'most active' list hmm

<searches for £12 'best' shoes>

Nokkie73 Tue 25-Jun-13 23:31:37

Nighty night preggo. Xx

Karbea Tue 25-Jun-13 23:32:16

Mostly I'd like a japanese monkey... Or a snow leopard!

twinklestar2 Tue 25-Jun-13 23:46:02

Question: are people having IVF or ICSI?

tametortie Wed 26-Jun-13 06:41:25

twink we have icsi me darlin'.

I want to spank that pharmacist for you. Never discuss things not working with a fertility patient! Its not an option!

joos I seen napoleon dynamite. My mum has his hair do.

tametortie Wed 26-Jun-13 06:42:51

Where is the most active list???

where are we on it??

tametortie Wed 26-Jun-13 06:44:37

Oh and joos- how is the line??? Any sickness today???

NoCupcakesOrCocktails Wed 26-Jun-13 06:58:25

Hello can I join you guys? I was on the first thread for a bit. I disappeared when it became clear my clinic was going to make me wait as long as possible before starting ICSI.

I'm 31, I've been ttc for 3 and a half years. We have been unexplained so far until December when my DHs latest SA was piss poor. We are having 3 ICSI cycles on the NHS (lucky I know but they've managed to delay the start for over 6 months). I've got my teach appointment for long protocol on Monday and its also day 21 so should start stabbing that day. Despite the long wait I don't feel prepared. My diet is crap, I've not got round to starting acupuncture. The only good thing I've done is stop all caffeine and alcohol. Plus I'm about to leave for glastonbury in an hour shock perhaps not the best way to start!

I'm apologise for the self centred post but I've not had chance to read the thread. I will on Monday when I get back, I just wanted to say hi before I start down regulating.

tametortie Wed 26-Jun-13 07:10:47

Hello nocupcakes smile welcome x

resipsa Wed 26-Jun-13 07:24:24

We had ICSI as sperm morph was only 3% on the big day. Got 60% fertilisation rate which is average. Didn't get over the crapness of my old eggs, sadly.

MotorcycleMama Wed 26-Jun-13 07:26:31

Awoke to Roberta Flack's 'Help Me Make It Through The Night' going around my head. Now waiting to hear how many of my 4 made it through.

Good luck euro wish fish and anybody else with activity today.

Waiting to hear from you mejust

MotorcycleMama Wed 26-Jun-13 07:28:58

Nokkie great news re your low risk status. One more hurdle nicely cleared!

tametortie Wed 26-Jun-13 07:30:12

motor mejust good luck for today !! X

resipsa Wed 26-Jun-13 07:34:59

That comment from the pharmacist merits a formal complaint. It matters not what sort of patient you are, it is not for him/her to "advise" on treatment success or cost unless asked. Unprofessional.

Good luck motor and mejust and anyone with action today as someone else so succinctly put it.

Cups you're here!! <rugby tackles her to the floor before braiding hair 'festival' stylee>

Twinks we are also having ICSI. What a dick of a pharmacist. Luckily all my drugs were couriered to me apart from my ovitrelle which I'll be given when I need it.

Why does the piss stick say today Juicy?

Hope you're ok today Tame.

How are the PUPOs feeling?

Nokkie great results!

I promise to remember everyone one day wink

Off to clinic for scan and bloods this grey, miserable morning. Where she sun? If only one thing came out of this cycle, I thought it woulda least be a tan.

JuicySausage Wed 26-Jun-13 08:07:42

Welcome Cup (or is it cock?) Blimey, I reckon you're in with a great chance if it's a crap sperm issue and you're having ICSI. Full steam ahead, love, and don't look back. I had ICSI (and donor egg) and got my BFP yesterday smile

I'm not entirely sure why that pharmacist is still breathing air, Twinks, if he talks to other members of the public like that. He deserves a cheese grater on his bellend.

Motor, huge squeezes from me here. Stay cool x

Karbs, I have a selection of exes who look rather like your Japanese monkeys (and a couple of sloths, too).

Tortie, it was your "sweet moves" wot got me finkin you'd seen the film. How smashing that you love your job smile

We have a NObeer, a NOmaybe and a NOcupcakes on this fred. What's with all the prohibitive monikers? From now on it should be lashingsofbeer and shedloadsofcakeinmygob

My line is considerably darker this morning. I am the happiest girl in the world smile

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu Wed 26-Jun-13 08:08:45

nomaybe it's annoyingly bright here, it woke me up this morning. That teamed up with DP and the builders outside! Looks like its time to get up. Good luck with your scans and blood.

mejust where are you??

Keep us updated motor

Morning everyone else

I'm one of the PUPO's and feeling pretty crappy. Everything that has been keeping me going these last few weeks has come to a halt so I think my body has just gone hrrmophggmmff

JuicySausage Wed 26-Jun-13 08:12:00

Tortie, do you see the 'mumsnet talk' box on the right? Can you see 'most active'? Well, we're on it, by virtue of the fact that this fred moves faster than Gary Glitter at Wacky Warehouse.

JuicySausage Wed 26-Jun-13 08:14:37

Karbea Wed 26-Jun-13 08:17:51

Twinkle we were icsi too, although didn't help with the crap fertilisation!

nobeer Wed 26-Jun-13 08:42:01

nice tune motor good luck for today.

nobeer Wed 26-Jun-13 08:42:38

welcome nocupcakes

nobeer Wed 26-Jun-13 08:45:05

juicy so excited for you! yes, i should really change my name to acoupleofglassesofwineatweddingsandotherspecialoccasions

tametortie Wed 26-Jun-13 08:45:16

joos yay!! I love a dark line!! Im 2nd happiest for you!!

I do love my job although its severly getting in my way of keeping up with you lot hmm

What does everybody else do? Do you love your jobs?

MotorcycleMama Wed 26-Jun-13 08:46:06

The clinic called, and we have 3 x 4 cell Grade 1 and 1 x 4 cell Grade 2. Transfer will therefore either be tomorrow or Saturday.
Now just have to keep occupied for the rest of the day (no wheelbarrowing for me though).

tametortie Wed 26-Jun-13 08:47:37

Motor- thats excellent!! [snile]

In work now- smell ya later xxx

JuicySausage Wed 26-Jun-13 08:53:51

Motor, that is excellent news! My two hatching blasts came from a 5- and a 4-cell on day two smile I really hope they take at least two of those to blast, Motor smile

Tortie, I have a job which would really out me if I revealed it. Do you watch any porn?

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu Wed 26-Jun-13 09:00:38

tortie what do you do?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake Wed 26-Jun-13 09:01:16

I just cannot keep up, but it is the side effects, so it is not MY fault. Oh and the fact I have a job I mostly love.

Hurrah for fatter lines, joos. Very reassuring.

Waves and welcome to cupcakes. I am funded LP too. But I am about 10 days of DR-ing ahead of you. And I had wine until the DR-headaches became to bad to combine with it. I am fairly fit, at least I was, until the DRing drucks made me not only suicidal but very, very tired.

I am failing to keep up but happily crossing everything whilst being asleep on the couch "working from home" today

lovesLemonDrizzleCake Wed 26-Jun-13 09:04:21

Well done motor on the lovely embies.

Whoeverasked we're IVF in principle (since we're unexplained) but if SB produces a rubbish sample on the day, like he did with the IUI that got me diffed, we've given permission to go to ICSI if necessary.

And I hate that pharmacist. I would complain. When I picked up my bloody entire veg drawer of the fridge full, I was being served by you guessed right a pregnant pharmacist. She was sweet do and wished me lots of good luck.

JuicySausage Wed 26-Jun-13 09:07:26

Lemon, you mustn't give up, no matter how loopy this sends you. There's a baby at the end of this madness x

lovesLemonDrizzleCake Wed 26-Jun-13 09:14:58

I might give up, actually, joos. We've been discussing it. We're unexplained. I am only 34 and have been pregnant (after IUI) in the past year. We might get there naturally in the next century. Or we might adopt. Or we might build a child-free future. The thing is, this does send me loopy and there might well be no baby at the end of it. And then, would that have been worth it? I have real doubts.

JuicySausage Wed 26-Jun-13 09:24:19

Lemon, I just don't want you to throw away this opportunity when it may well end up as a baby. The biggest things in life are a gamble but nothing will actually destroy us in the process of taking risks. Please stick with it x

JuicySausage Wed 26-Jun-13 09:25:35

Also (and you will hate me for this) you will be forty before you know it. Your late thirties fly by and I'm not joking.

twinklestar2 Wed 26-Jun-13 09:28:12

Thx everyone. Hmmmm now I said I didn't want ICSI because I wanted ivf cause I thought I had more chance with ivf. I'm not sure if that's the right choice now?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake Wed 26-Jun-13 09:37:13

As if I don't know all that joos. My early thirties did fly by I can assure you. But the end of the thirties will bring me closure one way or another. I agree that a gamble that produces a baby is worth it. But my sanity it worth more than a not-quite-baby. My MC did really knock me sideways for months and I have a history of hormonal depression and I am not coping well on the drucks. So really, it is something I need to consider. For me blindly continuing would be as stupid as blindly cancelling would be for others. It is a very personal thing, this whole IF-shite.

JuicySausage Wed 26-Jun-13 09:46:07

Ah. A history of hormonal depression would swing it for me, too, lemon. I'm on Seroxat for being a general loon <plays down mental health issues> so I fully understand the fear of lunacy/the black dog. I'm sorry to get all evangelical with you - I hardly know you - I didn't mean to annoy blush

JuicySausage Wed 26-Jun-13 09:47:28

Anyone for tennis?

MotorcycleMama Wed 26-Jun-13 09:55:09

Where is mejust - I'm getting worried?

Lifeasafish Wed 26-Jun-13 09:59:47

motor thats wonderful! Well done. This thread has got happier in the past few days, although the solidarity when people were having difficulties was a beautiful thing.

tortie everythig I have written doesn't seem the rigt thing to say to you, but In a nutshell I feel it for how long the has drawn out and am so amazed in how you can help and support me and others just now. I really apreciate it.

mejust where are you? Are you ok? Remember a problem shared is a problem halved, but I hope you are not posting because you are celebrating.

loves I considered how I would feel if I were childless in 20 years and decided that while that would still be a rich life, I would need to knw that I have tried my upmost to have children and would have no regrets. So while I will do my best to not let infertility to define me, I need to know that I tried and pushed as far as I comfortably could.

Juicy I cannot congratulate you enough. I think you have lifted my mood even higher to be honest.

question after trigger, did anyone else have a loose stomach. I am currently shitting my arse out and it smells chemically. Is that normal or am I still freakish? I'm totally amazed by the volume confused #overshare

nobeer Wed 26-Jun-13 10:00:46

we're doing ivf. and I now feel very Lucky that i've got a nice pharmacist. the total cost for my meds came to 690 something euros, but she knocked it down to 660€. and I think she's been through ivf too because she told me how some of the hormones made her really tired.

Lifeasafish Wed 26-Jun-13 10:01:32

Oh and does mrfish go into the room with me while they collect? I know I'll be off my face, but I like to include him at every step for payback purposes.

Lifeasafish Wed 26-Jun-13 10:02:26

And tame my mum would come out with nonsense like that. Ignore, disengage as needed.

MotorcycleMama Wed 26-Jun-13 10:11:02

Sorry life I can't help with the trigger side-effects question as I don't get that with DE, but Good Luck! Egg collection tomorrow then? Well done for staying sane over the past week or so.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake Wed 26-Jun-13 10:19:19

My stools respond to all sorts of hormones life, in unpredictable ways. So I would not worry too much, yet.

Ta joos. I have no reason to be so panicked about depression now, been okay for most of my twenties and those flying early thirties, but the fear has never left me. Last time it was really bad was puberty, followed by a few months on the pill, which mirrorred it quite closely, so yeah, that is the real reason why I panick. Just called the clinic they'll discuss whether there is anything else they can do/try to make things better, but devil's juice it is. Never again LP for me, that has been decided. I agree with doing everything you can manage. The load able to be managed varies a lot though, I guess. I have to see until last year I could not see a child free future and I still struggle. IN fact, that is why I am here, trying the best I can...

Anyway... Onwards and forwards, clearly the answer is a sneaky nap, right?

Lifeasafish Wed 26-Jun-13 10:20:32

Yep I'm laying tm smile.

Oh and re my friends mum - just got an update hat she is fine, but looked down and cried. Poor lady. She's in her 70s. Thanks for the compliments and all, but my problems pale in the shadow of someone who is going through that. Its existing life and people v's those who are yet to be?

I'll be in and out today, got to do all the things I didn't yesterday.

How did I stay sane? This thread and the fact that there was fuck all I could do bar drink water/eat eggs. No point in worrying if I have no control. Also, I was resigned to it being cancelled and made my peace with that.

I'm not looking forward to the next Hurdles, though.

That's great news Motor

Hurrah for the darker line Juicy

Life your poor bum. Least it will make room for the embryo wink

Drugs have made me ever so tired too whoeversaidthat

Follicles are growing slowly as my gonal f dose is low. Am hoping they'll crank it up. But always pointed out, they don't want to kill me hmm. Had hoped or more growth so i could trigger and be done!

JuicySausage Wed 26-Jun-13 10:35:50

Motor, I'm worried, too sad

Life, I love reading your posts, you and tortie sound like special ladies to me. I didn't have the squits after my trigger(s) and I've never heard of that from others either. I reckon it's just a one-off anomaly. Not pleasant though <sidles off>
