Anyone else care to join me on a mission to get our eggs and sperm together. energy drinks and snacks required.
TTC #2 since Dec 2012. 2 mc and here I am still trying.

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Sat 25-May-13 21:30:06

We have been TTC for the last 4 months. I'm on Prednisolone to try and prevent a miscarriage ( I've had 5). I think this may actually be preventing me from concieving so we are doing the sperm meets egg plan from tonight onwards!!!

Misspositivity Sat 25-May-13 21:45:33

Hi Theaccidental sorry to hear you have had 5 losses. That's tough on you and so unfair. Good luck. We start next Friday. dP says he is resting till then lol

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Sat 25-May-13 22:15:32

Thanks Misspositivity
I think i'm going to break out the cough medicine this month too. I'm sure it's helped when TTC in the past.

Misspositivity Sat 25-May-13 22:24:37

I was a stone heavier when I conceived my DD so think I need to order a Chinese and fatten up. Getting some acunpcture too. - cant hurt I suppose!!! It's a bit of a rollercoaster isn't it.

Squigglypig Sat 25-May-13 22:25:32

Am on it this month. We've been ttc #2 since a mmc in November. It always takes me ages to get preg (well the 2 times we tried previously) unlike many pf my friends. I've started taking B6 in the last cycle and am hoping that might boost odds for us. Good luck everyone!

Squigglypig Sat 25-May-13 22:27:19

acccidental what's the deal with the cough medicine?

Misspositivity Sat 25-May-13 22:37:42

squiggly. What does b6 do for you. Good luck this month.

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Sat 25-May-13 23:13:49

Guaifenesin (think that's the spelling) for chesty coughs thins your mucous in your lungs but as a side effect also in your cervix. The theory is that thinner cervical mucous helps the sperm travel further increasing the chance of it reaching the egg. It's supposed to be good if you know you don't produce much mucous at ovulation.
It's always hard to know if using things like this increases your chance of conception but be used it in the past and I think it's helped.

Squigglypig Sun 26-May-13 07:12:40

misspositivity I started taking b6 as I spot before my periods for up to a week. I read somewhere it might help so I started taking it this month and it seems to have stopped the spotting and even better I feel a lot less tired and a lot more balanced moodwise. I mentioned it to a nurse when I was getting my blood test and she said it can't hurt so I'm going to keep taking them (as well as pregnancy tabs).

Thingymajigs Sun 26-May-13 07:18:40

I'll join. I'm at the one year point of TTC #3 without even a hint of a line. Currently 10dpo after following the SMEP exactly. So I'll know if its worked by Thursday.
Good luck everyone.

Squigglypig Sun 26-May-13 09:11:14

Fingers crossed for you thingy.

Misspositivity Sun 26-May-13 09:33:14

Welcome thingymajigs. They say all good things come to those who wait so fingers crossed soon for you.
squiggly thanks for info I might give it a try - spot before periods and always in early pregnancy. Do you know what dosage recommended as I know some b6 already in my pregnacare vitamins.

Squigglypig Sun 26-May-13 11:40:40

Mine are 50mg from holland and barrett - you can take up to 100 mg safetly.

Misspositivity Wed 29-May-13 22:25:58

thingy are you testing tomorrow big good luck to you

The accidental how is it going

Plan starts tomorrow night in this house. Feel a bit nervous about trying again if i am honest.

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Wed 29-May-13 22:52:47

Pretty much constant shagging here grin

Thingymajigs Wed 29-May-13 23:00:46

Good luck miss. smile
I'm a little bit confused as to when I ovulated, even fertilityfriend changed its mind a couple of days ago. hmm So I think I'll give it until Saturday until I test. I've had some very strong cramping today so I'm expecting AF tomorrow tbh. Will keep trying with SMEP though for another 2 cycles.

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Thu 30-May-13 09:40:58

Good luck thingymajigs after a year of trying I can imagine how ready you must be for your BFP.

Thingymajigs Thu 30-May-13 10:25:06

Definitely. smile At this point I have no idea how I managed to conceive before. It seems impossible.
I hope the medication helps you, I can't imagine how difficult it must be for you. Is this the first cycle trying with the meds?
Where is everyone else in their cycle? I assume you're all far too busy implenting the SMEP to post. grin

Thingymajigs Fri 31-May-13 16:29:41

I got my BFP so the SMEP does work. Hope everyone else is successful too. smile

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Fri 31-May-13 16:54:52

Well done * thingymajigs* I'm delighted for you smile flowers

This is my fourth cycle with the meds. I'm started to get the hang of the wait and the 'I'm sure I'm getting pregnancy symptoms' followed by the BFN!
I'm ovulating at the moment, dH even came home at lunchtime yesterday for a booty call. TBH we are both knackered now grin can't wait for the 2 week rest wait

Misspositivity Fri 31-May-13 19:08:37

thingy excellent news. Big cheer for smep.

We haven't done so well. Meant to start last night but I went to bed to read and DP came up 10 mins later and I was out for the count. He is now away till sun. Big sigh.

Starting sun which is day 12 of cycle usually ovulate later than day 14 so hoping I haven't missed the boat.

jazzcat28 Fri 31-May-13 19:32:26

<waves> can I join?

TTC #1 since March but nothing so far.

Is this SMEP a book or something?

Am currently in my fertile window according to my tracker app but to be honest DH and I are shattered from work and struggling to get in the mood! He's at work at the moment and I'm hoping a takeaway and some wine might help him get in the mood later wink

gillywillywoo Fri 31-May-13 20:12:39

we started off this cycle ready to do SMEP although it went a bit wrong over the last few days due to DH and I doing some weird shifts and also one day we tried and failed blush.... Although made up for it the next day grin

So... Today is CD21....

We have dtd on CD10, 12, 14, 17, 20 and 21.

Got a positive cb digi OPK yesterday morning (cd20) so dtd last evening and again this morning.

Really going to try again tomorrow morning but DH is getting up at 5am to go to work (I know... Ridiculous for a Saturday!) and I just don't know if either of us will want to dtd at that time of day!

Annoyingly, DH is going out for a friends birthday party tomorrow night straight after and will probably stay at his mums house as its closer to where they are all going out..

So at this rate we won't get a chance to dtd tomorrow at all! Gahhhhhhh!

I'm wanting to dtd 3 days in a row obviously!!!!!!
Maybe I will have to find a way to stop him going out tomorrow night lol grin

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Fri 31-May-13 20:14:31

Welcome jazzcat
Google sperm meets egg plan.
It is a shagging program to improve your chances of conceiving. Very simple to follow and seemingly effective.

Misspositivity Fri 31-May-13 21:33:06

Hi to everyone who has joined
gilly I think you have made a sterling effort. Not sure I would want to DTD that early in morning either.

You seem to ovulate late like me. Poss opk at day 19 last month. How long are your normal cycles.

gillywillywoo Fri 31-May-13 21:44:59

Came off the pill end of December... First few cycles were 29,31 then 30 days. Then suddenly last month has a 48 day cycle!
Must've been a weird one off cos I seem to be back to normal (ish) this month! Phew!

justhayley Fri 31-May-13 23:07:52

Congratulations thingy really pleased for you. *runs off to find out what SMEP is smile

justhayley Fri 31-May-13 23:14:43

Just googed sounds like a good plan. Unfortunately I won't be able to go it as DH Is in the Military & only home at weekends so times we can dtd are limited sad

gillywillywoo Sat 01-Jun-13 10:35:31

It's a great plan but actually not as easy as it sounds if you work funny shifts or aren't always home!

I think the key is to dtd as much as you can (every other day is good but I'm sure every couple of days is fine) up until you get a positive OPK... And then dtd 3 days in a row <<---- I guess the last part is the most important bit! To go for it MORE once you get the positive OPK... Which makes sense! grin

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Sat 01-Jun-13 14:55:14

After what seems like endless shagging, I suspect the most I've ended up with is a UTI confused

gillywillywoo Sat 01-Jun-13 19:50:19

Lololol grin

Misspositivity Sat 01-Jun-13 23:10:09

Lol. That's a terrible outcome lol

Well after me saying I ovulate late I got a smiley face on cb digital (no flashing ) this morning so that's great timing when DP is away. I peed on a normal clear blue and it was neg and a cheap strip neg too. (yes slightly obsessing). Perhaps I should poas less and shag more, might help.

jazzcat28 Sun 02-Jun-13 14:28:54

Ok I got my first positive opk today ... Faint line yesterday (so we dtd) and much darker line when I tested this afternoon. So if I'm following the plan I guess we need to dtd for today and next 2 days right?

I'm on CD 18 but had a very long cycle. Would be perfect if we were lucky this week but I won't count my chickens!

SpannerPants Mon 03-Jun-13 13:54:29

We're trying to do this but between coming back from holiday and being ill we haven't been DTD much! Luckily I haven't ovulated yet so fingers crossed things get better.

Misspositivity Mon 03-Jun-13 19:51:48

Well between DP being away and DD having a horrible bout of tonsillitus all weekend we are pretty much out for this month.

Oh well <dusting self off waiting for AF>. Tomorrow is a new day.

Hope everyone else doing better.

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Mon 03-Jun-13 20:16:36

Real life gets in the way of the shagging sometimes doesn't it Misspositivity*
It's all very well trying to follow the plan but when things like DPs being away and illness get in the way it becomes tougher.

jazzcat28 Mon 03-Jun-13 20:54:24

Argh this TTC lark is driving me nuts! We dtd thurs, sat and sun. Got positive opk sun afternoon. Just been to loo and think I have ewcm. Think I'd like to dtd again tonight to cover bases but to be honest we are both knackered and poor DH is getting a little stage fright.

How do you keep the magic alive?!

Squigglypig Mon 03-Jun-13 21:02:54

Give up on magic. I think TTC is the least sexy sex you can have. Especially if you have a toddler.

My OPKs seem to have got lost in transit from Amazon and I'm now on day 12. I usually ovulate around day 13/14 so I'm planning on dtd tonight and the next couple of nights although DH is out tomorrow night and I'm out Weds night so it's going to be crap late night quickies. Hey ho!

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Mon 03-Jun-13 22:03:40

Sod the magic, just shag! If its going to be good, it'll still be good despite no bells and whistles <so to speak, I don't actually use bells and whistles you understand>

Fairypants Tue 04-Jun-13 08:19:23

I am also attempting smep and, so far gave managed cd7, 8, 10, 11 and 12.
I had a +ive opk on cd11 but also on cd12 - does that mean I have to count my 3 days from cd12? I'm pretty sure the answer is yes but 5 days straight is looking pretty monumental - we're no newly weds!

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Tue 04-Jun-13 09:37:11

Yes, that's how I understand it, knackering eh?

Fairypants Tue 04-Jun-13 10:11:45

Damn, DH complained its going to fall off this morning so I think I'm going to struggle with tonight (4th night in a row!) going for a 5th may be beyond me hmm

Laptopgirl Tue 04-Jun-13 10:15:49

Waves to the girls Hello Ladies! can I join you?

Currently on CD20 myself and have been trying the SMEP this month, wowzer's Im knackered so's DH! We need to get fitter! LOL

Been TTC #2, #1 took 5 yrs to come a long and 2 MC's prior to him but tbh I think a lot of that time was wasted on lack of knowledge!

Been casually trying for #2 since July 2012 but the last this last cycle I thought it was time to try harder! So I took Angus Castus to help regulate my cycle (this is what helped concieve DS!) soooooo Im hoping for a BFP in about 11/12 days! Otherwise I will be needing redbull for DH & I to keep up with the SMEP! ;) x

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Tue 04-Jun-13 10:23:15

Welcome Laptopgirl we should rename ourselves the SMEP shaggers grin

jazzcat28 Tue 04-Jun-13 10:31:08

Well we managed to dtd last night although it was very functional. DH has actually asked for a night off tonight to recharge his balls! Hoping to try again weds but we shall see.

AF due around 18th so last few days of opportunity now.

Not sure if is psychological or not but my boobs are very tender today? Maybe a sign of ovulation? Presumably can't be pg sign this early

Anyone else testing in about 2 weeks?

jazzcat28 Tue 04-Jun-13 10:48:34

Doh just noticed laptop girl is testing in about 2 weeks smile

Fairypants Tue 04-Jun-13 11:31:47

I'm due 16th but as i guess I am ov'ing now or last night will realistically start testing in 10 days smile I just can't help myself.

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Tue 04-Jun-13 13:55:04

AF is due on the 13th for me. I'm thinking I'm going to try and not test unless I'm a day late. I just obsess. Last month I was utterly convinced I was up duffed. Turned out I had gastro confused

jazzcat28 Tue 04-Jun-13 14:56:15

I have two AF tracker apps on my phone who suggest 18th/19th is when AF is due. SMEP website suggests taking a pg test 14 days from positive OPK which would be 16th.

So I will basically be peeing on sticks for three days as of Sunday 16th!!

Misspositivity Tue 04-Jun-13 18:17:42

Well I may be back in the games. My weird peak at cd11 on clearblue went straight to neg and now I am getting a flashing smiley. Cd14 and ewcm. Think peak was a false surge if that's possible????? We are going to be busy the next 3-5 days then testing in two weeks jazzcat will keep u company on wait. Just hope my none plan filleting before high dosen't count is out.

accidental. I always say I will wait till period late then ending up testing from 10 DPo. Just can't help myself.

If AF comes I will be following plan to the letter next month.

flohs Tue 04-Jun-13 18:37:42

Hello. Would love to join. I've been trying 1 year but had a miscarriage in February. I've been trying SMEP. On the third night tonight and am exhausted. Bit low at the moment because all my friends have got pregnant straight away. So v nice to have people to talk to. Wish me luck for tonight... Not sure if we'll manage it!

flohs Tue 04-Jun-13 18:38:33

Ps first time for SMEP

flohs Tue 04-Jun-13 18:40:22

Jazz cat I'll be testing in a few weeks! Could do with tww friends!

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Tue 04-Jun-13 19:25:37

Welcome flohs
Good luck with the shagging.

jazzcat28 Tue 04-Jun-13 20:03:31

Ooh some stick peeing buddies smile looking forward to some crazy symptom spotting buddies over the next 2 weeks!

I've already started - I swear if I am pg that the egg is travelling down my right tube as we speak due to the sharp stabbing pains, and I have boobs which are feeling bruised and sore!

Squigglypig Tue 04-Jun-13 22:04:17

Well I'm due on 18th. My Opks still haven't turned up so I'm not strictly doing SMEP now, just every other day, although I had EWCM a few days ago so think I probably ovulated already.

I had said to my husbnd tht we'd have a go tonight but he's out a pub quiz and I have only just managed to get my very naughty 2.5 yr old to sleep (I hope) - think she's ready to drop her np but nursery are still giving her 2 hours a day. Anyway needless to say I am not feeling up to it. We did it last night so pfff.

I'm feelig a bit negative about it as my 21 day bloods showed my progesterone levels are on low side so doctor wnts me to test again. It's times like this I wish we'd tried for babies earlier (I'll be 37 come September). More pffff.

Laptopgirl Wed 05-Jun-13 00:18:34

Yay! Pleased to have some 2ww buddies! I thought I wasn't going to peak on my CBFM whih didn't worry me as I conceived ds on 'high' reading. So according to my app I should ov'd a day ago. Luckily I stuck to pos as I got a peak this afternoon. smilesmilesmilesmilesmile So dtd tonight, will tomorrow and Thursday then move to every other.... Is this correct??

Looking forward to symptom spotting ladies! smile

flohs Wed 05-Jun-13 07:30:27

That's right laptop girl. No luck here last night - DH has had enough. And said he felt like he was under too much pressure. So two nights out of three. Can't do it tonight either I don't think because I'm working. I'm really frustrated with him and finding it hard not to show him. Just don't think we'll have done enough. I really miss the days when I wasn't TTC. confused

Vikkijayne2507 Wed 05-Jun-13 07:46:28

Hello guys im brand new to the TTC club and still very confused about all the initials and nicknames. Im really sorry to here flohs that you are struggling i hope things can get easier. Im 27 this year and my partner is 32. Ive been on the pill since I was 14 I missed a pills this packet and so after some discussion we decided to go for it but I have no idea what my cycle is really like and if AF I have at the moment is accurate or just a reaction coming off pill too early so no clue about Ov date any help would be great.

jazzcat28 Wed 05-Jun-13 08:15:11

Hi vikki I was in a similar position to you. I came off the pill after 10 years in March. About 28 days later I had what I thought was AF. Then 2 weeks later I had a week of brown goo then what was my first AF the next week. I then got a positive ovulation test on Sunday, which was roughly 18 days (so CD18) after the first day of my last period. I think if you are an 'average' cycle then you should have roughly 28 days between periods and ovulate in the middle, so roughly 2 weeks after 1st day of your last period.

Hope this makes sense! There is a mumsnet acronyms list somewhere, but I can't find it at the moment...

flohs Wed 05-Jun-13 20:37:35

Hi Vikki.. I know all the acronyms can be intimidating to begin with! Hope you find the list jazz is talking about.

So have done it tonight successfully... So only missed one day of the plan I think.... Could be crucial but we've given it our best... Now the wait begins.

Vikkijayne2507 Thu 06-Jun-13 08:01:47

Cheers guys I did see the list I will dig it out and have a study of it. Jazz AF at the moment has turned into brown I guess I will have to wait and see what happens over the next month and keep an eye on length of cycle. Its really intresting to hear about others experiences so thanks guys.

jazzcat28 Thu 06-Jun-13 09:32:17

DH and I were both shattered last night so didn't manage to dtd. Guess I'm officially in my 2ww now, going to try and avoid peeing on sticks until Sat 22nd but in reality I'll probably cave and use some my my internet cheapies from about Mon 17th onwards

Today's symptom spot: crazy and amazingly vivid dreams every night since Monday. All involving friends children/babies.

flohs Thu 06-Jun-13 10:37:31

Me too Jazz.... I'm going to defo keep off the POAS until that weekend... We are away so I may try and wait till Monday but I doubt I'll manage it.... No symptoms this end other than cramps but i guess that's linked to ovulation....

Laptopgirl Fri 07-Jun-13 07:59:02

How you all doing ladies?

We are shattered! Don't think we ever dtd so much! So we dtd on the two peaks on my CBFM and then yesterday it was high we were just too tired so dtd this morning hope it won't effect our chances. I can't keep this plan up long term!! shock

Hope your all ok! How's symptom spotting going?? smile

flohs Fri 07-Jun-13 08:39:03

So with you Laptop, its exhausting! My stupid opk was still positive yesterday (it's been like that for four days!!!? - maybe slightly fainter) so we dtd again last night! Got to have a night off tonight. No symptoms here - still the cramps, which is weird, but I guess they're linked to ovulation.....

flohs Fri 07-Jun-13 08:40:00

Ps laptop - i've heard dtd in the morning is a really good thing for ttc!

PurpleGeekyGirl Fri 07-Jun-13 09:47:30

Hi, can I join in please? We've been not really ttc, but ttc since Sept '12 when I stopped taking the pill. Had a mc a few months ago and my cycle has been all over the place since (29 to 21 days, sigh). Have just shelled out and got a CB ovulation predictor, never used one before, but am not sure if/when I am ov tbh, despite tracking cm. Had a big baby chat a few days ago and are going to be properly ttc from this cycle. Am currently on cd4. I'm 39 and he's 40 so I am concerned we're both getting too old!

Having never used OPKs before, and always needing a wee in the night, am not sure about when is best to test? Some tests say afternoon, but the CB one says first urine after longest sleep. Given that I always need to wee in the night, and doing the test at 3am is NOT an option (!) can I save my wee to test a few hours later? Or is 3 hour wee enough?! Ugh, all these questions I never thought I'd have!!! I just want to track my cycle for a few months and see what's happening to it...

We're in a relatively new relationship (just under 2 years) so the dtd is still going strong, probably 2-4 times a week on average, but I'm not sure how he's going to react to the need for consecutive days on SMEP!

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Fri 07-Jun-13 10:06:57

Welcome PurpleGeekyGirl
My OPK recommends between 10am to 10pm but 2pm is the ideal testing time particularly if you hold off liquids for a couple of hours beforehand.

PurpleGeekyGirl Fri 07-Jun-13 12:08:42

Thanks accidental smile I've got some cheapy opks coming too, and will use those alongside the cb to see if they both agree!

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Fri 07-Jun-13 16:31:03

I'd be interested in your comparison. I'm only using the Internet cheapies and in 4 months I can't say I've seen a positive test. It may be that I'm not ovulating but I suspect that the tests are not as sensitive or as reliable as they are making out. I am getting a very sight difference in colour but they seem a bit crap really.

PurpleGeekyGirl Fri 07-Jun-13 16:48:24

That's what I thought... 50 tests for £8 seems too good to be true but I can't afford to just use the cb each month especially with such an erratic cycle. My mucus suggests I do get fertile and I've felt myself ovulate a few times before and after mc but I'm not certain it's happening all the time and my last cycle was very short and very weird. So far af on this seems to be back to 'normal' whatever that is shock
I'm supposed to start poas from sun.

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Fri 07-Jun-13 16:54:08

Sometimes acupuncture can help regulate cycles. Alternatively if its a fairly new thing and you are getting pain, you could have some Endometriosis. I've had a similar experience to you after one of my MMC and it was very frustrating!

flohs Fri 07-Jun-13 17:44:45

My OPKs showed positive for four days! Sometimes I'm really not sure about these sticks. They were superdrug ones. I did find it better last month with cb dig but then they are really not cheap!! Thank goodness it's Friday. And it's a night off the dtd tonight - phew.
Purple my cycle has definitely been wierd since mc... Only has a more normally timed AF last month and I miscarried in feb. it's frustrating but it will sort itself out. I too have heard really good things about acupuncture and am going to consider it soon if I dont make progress soon....

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Fri 07-Jun-13 19:08:22

I think I may have to invest in a decent OPK, can anyone recommend one? I don't live in the UK but I'll be coming over in a couple of weeks so can nip into a pharmacy.

Laptopgirl Sat 08-Jun-13 08:50:02

Hi ladies!

I use CBFM and amazon cheapies 50 for by sure maybe 3/4 pounds.

My cycle is up and down as I apparently have 'pcos'. But using the CBFM is fab. I test cd 11 and then maybe 16 (use cheapies all cycle from 11) as I expect to ov between cd. 18/20 as soon as I get a high I keep testing got 3 days - I do it like this as a £1 a test stick starts to get a bit too pricey when TTC. I love my CBFM been a great assets to me - I know if I've ov'd or not it seems pretty accurate to me. This month I also took Agnus castus til ovulation and had reflexology two days before ovulation. Along with using sperm friendly 'conceive plus' from boots. So think I've covered all basis with TTC! When I include SMEP to the mix!

I'm 37 so feel age isn't on my side either and DH is 41. So really want to conceive in the next few months as I'm hoping to get baby number 3 in as well. But let's get BFP with number 2 first and cross that bridge another time! ;)

Has anyone read any stats on SMEP? Wondering on its success rate?

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Sat 08-Jun-13 10:09:02

I've just looked up CBFM laptopgirl and see that it stands for Clear Blue Fertility Monitor. Sounds like a good one, thank for the tip.

PurpleGeekyGirl Sat 08-Jun-13 19:30:46

I've got the cb advanced digital ovulation one and tried it out today. Seems pretty simple to use. Cost me £21 on amazon for the test and 20 test sticks. As my mucus becomes more ew I am going to use cheapy ones alongside to see if they show a positive and if they do only use the cb when I think I am at peak or high fertility to save money.

Laptopgirl Sat 08-Jun-13 22:49:18

Sorry accidental should if written full name! I love my monitor I feel it's pretty accurate and helps a lot with TTC.

Looked up yours purple seems to be the newer version of mine. Pleased you did it worthwhile.

Laptopgirl Sun 09-Jun-13 10:43:21

I've posted on the 'other side' (pregnancy) if anyone is interested to follow. Asking for SMEP stories. Hopefully will be an interesting thread! smile

gillywillywoo Sun 09-Jun-13 12:50:34

Hi all.. smile

I'm just over halfway through the 2ww.. Attempted SMEP this month... Wasn't perfect but not bad for a first attempt!

Dtd on cd 10, 12, 14, 17, 20 and 21.

Got 2x positive clearblue digi OPKs on cd20. One first thing in the morning and another in the afternoon.

Couldn't dtd much more than that after the positive as I was working funny shifts.

Now cd30 so about 9dpo.

Waiting! smile

Hmmm! Currently cd6 and neg opk yesterday (with pm wee, and it states use FMU) whereas this morning I tested using FMU and got a strong positive for peak fertility... No fertile cm (yet, but I can feel its on its way). So can you get false positives with the cb? I did a cheapy opk too and that was a neg (faint line but the packet suggests that a positive has to be as strong as or stronger than the control, a feint but obvious line doesn't count!). Now feeling v confused but with DTD with dp later anyway and keep testing I guess. I was expecting a blinking smiley first in the lead up and then a smiley.

Purple not sure.... I think so. I think it's easy to get false positives on any opk... Think it depends on the time of day when you tested? My opk's have been v odd this month so I'm a bit sceptical..... But probably my digital has been more accurate than superdrug ones.
Gilly that sounds like a good effort on the dtd and v similar to what we managed. Approaching one week into my two week wait.... Not feeling particularly hopeful. Your wait is nearly over? Dpo 9.... Got everything crossed for you.

purple. Yes I got a false positive in clearblue advanced this month and the. It went positive again a few days later with all classic ovulation symptoms so think it is possible.

Well I am on 3dpo after a good effort at smep with 4 days in a row which nearly killed us. Going to test on the 18th. Trying to keep myself occupied.

How's everyone else get on. Think there is quite a few on 2ww

Thanks. I rang the helpline this morning to query and they are adamant it's only positive because I had enough hormone in my wee. Still don't believe it lol. Cheapy opks are still showing neg. Dtd last night anyway and will keep doing so to cover all bases. Lucky dp wink good luck to everyone in the tww.

This 2ww malarky is a bit hard work! Im 'only' 5 days post OV. Guessing you say PO after your last peak on fertility monitor.

I have no idea I was even pregnant the three times I have concieved! No symptoms what so ever so why Im symptom watching I have noooo idea!

Sorry to read purple ringing helpline wasnt much help! :/

PurpleGeekyGirl Mon 10-Jun-13 14:36:57

The tww is so hard laptop! I never think I am going to survive it but of course you do...

I now have ewcm so maybe the cb was right after all.

Laptopgirl Mon 10-Jun-13 23:23:23

I have to say I've always found my clear blue monitor accurate I understand very sensitive so as it gets to know your cycle it requires less testing sticks.

No symptoms today.....

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Tue 11-Jun-13 09:05:11

Gah! I'm crap. I'm not due AF until Thursday but tested this morning - BFN sad
Fortunately I've been obsessing less this month, which can only be a good thing when TTC turns out to be a longer term plan than anticipated!

flohs Tue 11-Jun-13 12:16:08

So easy to crack isn't accidental. I have to keep my house stick free to stop myself. Trying really hard not to obsess on possible probably non-existent symptoms.... Why does time go soooo slowly in the two week wait!? Zzzzzzzz

flohs Tue 11-Jun-13 12:17:01

Ps accidental - probs too early for a bfp. The one time I was preggers I got a bfn then a bfp a few days later!

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Tue 11-Jun-13 18:10:55

Ah flohs you're very reassuring smile I have absolutely zip pregnancy symptoms though sadly. It does mean I can enjoy Glastonbury later on this month though grin

PurpleGeekyGirl Tue 11-Jun-13 20:25:29

Have a great time at glasto accidental. I have beat herder to look forward to if we are not successful.

Neg opks all round here today but more ewcm. Really hope dp is up for more loving later, it's exhausting me!!

flohs Tue 11-Jun-13 23:32:02

Accidental - enjoying glasto is a BIG silver lining!

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Wed 12-Jun-13 14:26:18

True, I will also be ovulating while I'm there grin
I went into labour with my DS at Glastonbury 10 years ago this year so it would be perfect to conceive a baby there 10 years later total fantasy!

Laptopgirl Thu 13-Jun-13 06:07:41
