I am 12-14 DPO as track using CM so can never be 100% sure. We have been TTC #1 for ages and I have been pretty calm about it for the past few months, haven't even been on MN! But this month I have gone bananas all over again. Can't put myself through the disappointment of yet another BFN so am trying not to POAS until at least Wednesday! My fake symptoms so far are:

Burning boobs - although I have been squeezing them lots to check if they are sore blush
No pink tinge when I wipe which would normally have happened by now
Feel knackered
Had terrible cramps on 7-9DPO and then dull cramps ever since

Please someone join me so that I don't have to go quietly insane by myself grin

chocoloulou33 Sun 27-Jan-13 16:37:26

hello teafan I'll go insane with you smile my bfp not due til 31st jan but am thinking I might poas 2moro!! I'm not usually one for doing early tests but got myself some ic's so might just go for it! I don't rly have any symptoms apart from slight cramps & a funny taste in my mouth! I've been ttc #2 for 5 months x

teafan Sun 27-Jan-13 16:59:03

Hi chocoloulou glad i'm not alone, i've been googling and apparently there is an 82% chance a BFP would show up at 12 DPO so FX for you! If I still have no pinkness 2moro I think i'll buy a test, nothing can be worse than this limbo hmm

I've also realised i've had indigestion the last 2 days but I have switched onto apple & cinnamon tea so could be that ha ha!

Anyone else out there want to SS with us?

teafan Sun 27-Jan-13 17:42:13

Ok now I am going mad, i'm trying so hard to convince myself that i'm not pg but now i've a taste in my mouth like i've been chewing a teaspoon... is that how others would describe the much famed 'metallic' taste? Or maybe it's the coldsore cream I just applied, or maybe the coldsore is a symptom grrrr!

apperleydapperley Sun 27-Jan-13 18:08:23

hello yes I'll join you, I am totally feeling the crazy this month!. AF due 31st/1st but am also v tempted to POAS tomorrow. I'm usually of the 'wait until AF is due' school of thinking, but I think i'd;like to get in there ahead of her this month! Had loads of imaginary symptoms so far, including tiredness, lots of saliva, cramps, and the best one - feeling a baby kick in my dream the other night?! grin

fx for you both!

ipswichwitch Sun 27-Jan-13 18:13:26

I've been quietly going insane for 10 months now. Am late every single month. By between 7 and 21 days. It was like this when ttc DS which took a year. Every month I get to the point were I think maybe, just maybe, then I psych myself up to getting a test and lo the period makes an appearance. Also every time I get the symptoms (tired, queasy, sore boobs) but all for nothing sad

I'm hoping for a bfp soon for us all before we get carted off by the men with butterfly nets!

chocoloulou33 Sun 27-Jan-13 20:43:49

How long you been ttc teafan hello apperley & ipswich welcome to the nutters thread. Anyone gonna test with me 2moro? X

teafan Sun 27-Jan-13 21:13:11

Hello apperley and ipswich it really helps to hear from others feeling the same as me smile

We've been trying for over 2 years choc but have taken it easy the past 6 months as it was grinding us down. We're getting married in September so a BFP this month would make me 8 months gone on my wedding day shock blush

Haven't shared my hopes with DP as would love the got drunk and shagged/surprise announcement a couple of weeks later scenario with not a mention of ov, opks, cm, to poas/not to poas etc etc

Planning to buy a test on my way home 2moro night and test using fmu on Tues am, good luck to anyone testing 2moro fx

2beornot Sun 27-Jan-13 21:18:04

Hi. Another ttc nutter here! I don't do cycle days or ovulation dates - I am a pure js'er!!!

I planned to test tomorrow but I'm sensing disappointment is ahead. Si what's worse - getting a bfn in a stick or AF arriving?!

apperleydapperley Sun 27-Jan-13 21:51:30

choc yes i'm gonna do it. I've got a pot and a stick with my name on it for the morning. Only 10dpo though so prob won't tell me much, i'm expecting false hope and insanity for another few days!!

SeriousStuff Sun 27-Jan-13 22:01:23

I'm definitely insane. Been testing throughout my cycle! But now AF is due anytime from tomorrow, I don't really want to. Seems crazy! Last time I tested was Friday - BFN.

I have sore boobs, I'm having major hot flushes and feeling completely bloated even when I haven't eaten much.

Hoping these symptoms aren't AF...

setayharas Sun 27-Jan-13 22:06:28

Hey! I'll join if I can,
I'm 12dpo and getting some lovely bfn!
I am however having dizzy spells and a bit of nausea loads of cm

The weirdest thing is the cramping pain in lower pelvis(the area below my hip bones) it feels like iv done too many sit ups and have pulled my muscles when u move yawn or cough etc.

It's safe to say even after my late bfn I'm still symptom spotting like mad lol

Help lol I'm goin mental

chocoloulou33 Sun 27-Jan-13 22:32:37

teafan wow hun 2 years that's rough. U ever been to docs to see if there's anything they could do to help? Hi 2 serious & setay - think I've seen u on the feb bus smile well I'm def testing 2moro even if its a bit early! X

ash1988 Sun 27-Jan-13 22:59:33

My last period was the 23rd of Dec I've taken two tests this week both came back neg, fed up. Still think I could be though or maybe wishful thinking. Late period, mild cramps had headaches for nearly two weeks (gone now) milkly/clear discharge fingers crossed eh. Though I am scared to do a test again.

SeriousStuff Sun 27-Jan-13 23:01:52

Hey chocoloulou33, really hoping there's still some space on the January bus...! Good luck with the testing tomorrow. Let us know how you get on!

chocoloulou33 Mon 28-Jan-13 07:36:01

BFN booooo hisssss sad

apperleydapperley Mon 28-Jan-13 15:58:34

BFN for me too...will test again weds if nothing happens before.
Anyone else?

setayharas Mon 28-Jan-13 16:12:42

bfn for me too. 13 dpo today so if no af tomorrow ill test wednesday. sure she'll be here though. im practically squeezing my legs crossed to keep her away

ILoveMyCats Mon 28-Jan-13 16:39:26

Hello!, I'll join the madness, if I may. Af due on wed, but would have had some pinkishness cm by now, but no sign of it, just lots of clear cm. been dizzy for 2 weeks & now have a cold. Don't think the last one is a symptom - just adding it into the mix.
Poas last week as I was peeing a lot more than normal, but of course it was bfn. I seem to have a long luteal phase anyway, so I'm determined not to test til Wednesday morning. Have been I'll this cycle, so ov may have been delayed, but can't help clinging to the glimmer of hope despite having dtd very infrequently!
Good luck to you all

apperleydapperley Mon 28-Jan-13 16:44:44

Boooo to the BFNs. Hi cats actually cold symptoms are a sign - reduced immunity or summing like that, so fx for you. Looks like a few weds testers then!

SeriousStuff Mon 28-Jan-13 17:41:49

Don't worry about BFNs yet - it's not over until AF arrives.

My AF was due today...no sign whatsoever so far but trying not to get ahead of myself as I had the norovirus at the beginning of my cycle so it may have just thrown things off a bit.

DH is bringing me home a test later and will POAS tonight. Wish me luck!

ILoveMyCats Mon 28-Jan-13 17:49:48

Hi serious and*apperley*! I had the norovirus during the first couple of weeks of my cycle, so think that's pushing things back a bit. Thanks for the info about colds. I work in a school, so pick up most bugs, but will have a read about colds too!
Good luck this eve, serious!

teafan Mon 28-Jan-13 18:13:09

Hi all, sorry to hear about the BFNs but like serious says, it's not over until it's over!

I am still the same, went to Asda on the way home to buy a test and it was like mission impossible, there were two other people in there from my work and one of them spent a suspiciosly long time choosing painkillers which are right by the pg tests angry anyway, had to hide out in the magazine aisle and keep peering round to see if she had gone...think the security guard had me pegged as a shoplifter/mugger shock grin

Just hope I don't bottle it tomorrow, tomorrow I will be 14-16 DPO and at this point even a BFN would be better than continuing limbo, surely?

ipswichwitch Mon 28-Jan-13 18:23:08

tea I've done the lurking round the corner thing when trying to buy pregnancy tests! Seems like people you know are just stalking you when you're trying to be all incognito about it!
<waves to everyone> these bfn's suck, and the limbo sucks just as much. People in RL keep saying to "relax and forget about it" which makes me angry. Trouble is, they know we're ttc as I had a mmc last November

teafan Mon 28-Jan-13 19:00:00

ipswich it's a nightmare isn't it, I actually bought a magazine so that I had something to hide the tests under in my basket!! Sorry to hear about your mmc though, it must be hard that people know now. Luckily DP and I have got all our nearest & dearest convinced that we're not interested ready which is a bit sneaky!

choc the doctors have offered us tests but we keep putting it off, I think we're both hoping that it will all happen naturally but frankly I think we probably need to pull our heads out of the sand [sigh]

My cramping has got a bit stronger today which I don't have a great feeling about. Ah the age old cure for late AF, fork out for a pg test and she arrives immediately sad

ILoveMyCats Mon 28-Jan-13 21:44:32

Gave in and poas (Internet freebie with opk) bfn. Cd be time of day as not late yet technically. Or just imaginings of impatient would-be mum!
Will leave it til Wednesday fmu. Pah!

chocoloulou33 Mon 28-Jan-13 22:07:01

Evening all. Sorry to hear all the BFN's -looks like I started off a trend sorry girls. Lots of us testing weds morning so let's hope for some better news!

teafan I don't blame u for not having the tests, I rly hope u concieve naturally very soon!! This month of course smile x

apperleydapperley Wed 30-Jan-13 14:54:11

Well I tested this morning and am now in even more limbo as I either had a vvv feint line or evap line, can't decide. Might test again tomorrow , hoping its feint as I'm only 12dpo, but also have backache which I don't think is a good sign confused

Anybody else test today?

chocoloulou33 Wed 30-Jan-13 14:57:54

sounds promising apperley test again 2moro. I tested, got a BFN x

ILoveMyCats Wed 30-Jan-13 17:21:49

Bfn here too. Got a FRER for later, just in case......

teafan Wed 30-Jan-13 18:10:32

ooohh apperley now that might be just the upward turn we're looking for, keep us posted please!

Thanks choc i'm giving myself until after the wedding (September) then giving in and going to be poked and prodded, i'll make DP go first though, his is considerably easier ha ha grin

No change here, still got sore boobs and weird taste in my mouth (like I licked a skunk) but all cramping seems to have stopped. Got a bfn on Monday morning but i'm not sure it counted as FMU as went to bed after downing a pint of squash at 12.30 and then woke up at 4am dying for a wee so used that instead blush plus was an Asda test 15miu but not sure how good they are? Any experiences? I can recommend testing in the middle of the night though, the drowsiness takes the edge off the bfn!

SeriousStuff Wed 30-Jan-13 19:30:41

Guys, I got my BFP! All the symptom spotting was legit! Tested 2 days ago with a line that was barely visible. Last night, similar line, but today a clear pink line and the words 'pregnancy' on the second test (just to be sure).

I'm sending anyone who's poas soon as much luck and good vibes as required!

teafan Wed 30-Jan-13 20:36:28

Wow, congratulations serious grin that is fab news!!! How many DPO are you? [teafan asks clutching at straws]

Correction to my earlier post, I POAS Tusday morning not Monday so when I tested I was minimum 13DPO so not holding our much hope sad

chocoloulou33 Wed 30-Jan-13 20:39:31

Congrats serious rly happy for you. Let's keep our fx for us teafan am sure I'm out though x

SeriousStuff Wed 30-Jan-13 21:05:33

Thanks both!

teafan test says I'm 1-2 weeks pregnant so I'm roughly 12-15 DPO. Not sure of the exact ov date as had EWCM on more than one day that week and got very confused! But DTD every other day from CD10 - CD25.

Let us know how you get on over the next couple of days!

apperleydapperley Wed 30-Jan-13 21:08:40

ooh congrats serious thats great! Really hoping my extremely faint line is actually a line like yours and turns into a stronger one - what dpo did it get darker? I'm 12dpo today.

Fx for everyone else

apperleydapperley Wed 30-Jan-13 21:09:41

cross-posted serious !

ipswichwitch Wed 30-Jan-13 21:12:50

Congrats seriousthanks - let's hope it's the beginning of a flock of bfp's for us all eh!

BigWhoop Thu 31-Jan-13 06:48:48

I might POAS today. I love POAS grin Spend far too much bloomin money on the things.
Have dtd much more this cycle but I don't think it's at the right times so suspect I'm not. Plus symptoms are confusing as I've got mastitis (still bfeeding toddler at night time, she got an ear infection and horrendous latch meant poorly boob). Stomach tender though, slight nausea, and a really strong craving for drinking milk. All of these could be due to the mastitis though (even the milk as it makes you thirsty!!).
I'm just a hopeful kind of person smilesmile

SeriousStuff Thu 31-Jan-13 09:02:57

Thanks apperleydapperley I think it was dpo14 yesterday when it got darker (not 100% when I ov-d though! so this is mere guess work!). A line, even if really faint, is still a line. I reckon you've got your SSP (slightly shy positive)

apperleydapperley Thu 31-Jan-13 14:32:08

well it seems you were right serious smile A definite second line this morning. So thrilled, but also nervous as my last two BFPs ended in MMC and CP...haven't told DH yet, think i will wait until Saturday and do another test to be sure (!).
Good luck to everyone else, hopefully this is a lucky thread!

SeriousStuff Thu 31-Jan-13 16:22:02

Woo-hoo apperley !!! Completely understand your concerns - hopefully as it sinks in you'll be able to enjoy it more. I'm completely paranoid that every time I move, that I must be doing some harm!

ILoveMyCats Thu 31-Jan-13 16:53:55

Got bfn yesterday with FRER in the afternoon. Still no sign of af at all & still have weird symptoms - tiredness, weepiness, dull cramps, cold, dizziness, light headedness & nausea. If I'm not pregnant, I want to know what else it could be! The dizziness & frequent peeing are getting me down.
Didn't poas today, going to wait til tomorrow morn. Would anyone advise a trip to the GP if af still not here next week?

Can I join in? Am on CD 24 today. Just POASd and got a BFN. Why oh why do I do it, of course I am thinking "well I still might be and I just tested too early". For a demonstration of the madness, I used a boots digital test (^not pregnant^ on display) AND an OPK which had just one sad little line, no trace of picking up a bit of HCG.
And yet still I am jiggling around to see how sore my boobs are and convincing myself that I am preggo. Could seriously do with some moral support...

chocoloulou33 Thu 31-Jan-13 19:26:32

Brilliant news apperley that's great! X

loobloo Thu 31-Jan-13 20:03:22

Can I join you please? AF was due yesterday and after 2 years of trying I decided to not try this month. No chlomid, opk testing or EWCM checking; just dtd every alternate day. But feel different this month! Cramping and sore boobs earlier in week, but gone now. Tested today but BFN. Is it too early or has my body now created another trick to send me over the edge?

teafan Thu 31-Jan-13 20:54:01

Congratulations apperley! I am wishing you very good luck for a healthy pregnancy. You ladies have been a fab support during this exceptionally mental cycle but i'm afraid i'm out, AF has quite stubbornly jammed her foot in the door and it's only a matter of time before she's in and drinking my tea/eating my biscuits and making herself at home!!

Never mind, i'm off to focus on my wedding for a bit and take my mind off it hmm

Good luck everyone smile

Tea x

chocoloulou33 Thu 31-Jan-13 21:05:30

Aww tea am sorry to hear that sad but am glad u have your wedding to focus on smile xx

apperleydapperley Thu 31-Jan-13 21:51:47

Thanks all. Tea sorry AF got you but as choc says good to have something else to focus on. Hope you get your BFP soon x

Hang on in there everyone else going loopy with the 2WW

chocoloulou33 Fri 01-Feb-13 21:31:46

Got my af 2day. Am not in a good place sad x

SeriousStuff Sat 02-Feb-13 23:51:43

chocoloulu I'm so sorry to hear about AF. What cycle are you on? Take it as an excuse to spoil yourself and eat and drink whatever you want (within reason of course!) wine biscuit

barebranches Sun 03-Feb-13 19:01:16

hey
im 11 dpo and its driving me crazy. af due on wednesday. just want to know. had spotting yesterday no bleeding today!

just wish time would go quicker!!!

Wardy17 Sun 03-Feb-13 21:02:18

hey, I am so new to all this, not sure what DPO means but I am due on Thursday and the waiting is drining me mad!!!! I want to do a test now but know I will just be disappointed. I have been using clearblue ovulation tests and had sex a lot around the time I got my smiley face, so fingers crossed!!! I keep thinking if I was I would be feeling some kind of symptoms by now, is that right or does it normally all start once you fall pregnant? I miscarried at 11 weeks in November and I didnt have any symptoms. So confused and know this week is going to go soooooo slow!!!!

Wardy17 Sun 03-Feb-13 21:43:54

meant to say do the symptoms start once you have missed your period

SeriousStuff Mon 04-Feb-13 00:38:45

Hey Wardy DPO means 'days past ovulation'. It's hard waiting isn't it?! Symptoms vary from person to person. I started getting some symptoms before I got my BFP (big fat positive) but have read on this site from some women who didn't notice any until a few weeks in. Try not to overthink it (hard, I know!)

Let us know when you test!

Wardy17 Mon 04-Feb-13 08:18:28

Thanks Serious, many congrats on your BFP!!!
