Hello all!

I've been lurking for a few weeks since beginning ttc recently, so thought it was time I posted something!

I think I ovulated yesterday (and dtd) so will now have my fingers crossed until 7th feb when AF if due. Anyone want to keep me company?! I'm ready to obsessively symptom spot and look out for implantation pain!

As background, we've been careful on and off since November, but are active ttc this month. Trying to be patient knowing this could take ages yet! I already have a nearly 13 yo ds from a previous relationship.

Good luck to us all xx

Solars Thu 24-Jan-13 13:54:37

I'll wait with you! I think I ovulated yesterday too, I had ovulation pains yesterday morning and got a positive opk the day before and yesterday. We dtd the day before yesterday and this morning. Good luck to us both x

AnythingNotEverything Thu 24-Jan-13 15:29:12

Yey!

I'm not testing or temping or anything - just checking the app on my phone. I think once I start down that route ill become utterly utterly obsessed!

I don't get ovulation pain so going on other symptoms ... hoping to dtd deed again tonight just in case, hen go back to every 2-3 days.

Fingers crossed then ...

Solars Fri 25-Jan-13 10:53:56

Hiya

I don't temp for the same reason you mentioned above, but do use opks at the moment, really just to keep track of my cycle as there have been a few subtle changes since my failed ivf in October last year. My lp seems to have lengthened by a couple of days so I may not test until about the 10th of Feb. Unfortunately I have had far too many 2wws but I am feeling optimistic for this one.

As a background we've been trying for over 3 years, diagnosed as 'unexplained' had our first ivf in October last year, during the process they found an endometrioma on one of my ovaries and possible unconfirmed issues with DH's sperm in the form of antisperm antibodies. I had a lap in December last year to remove the endometrioma and luckily there were no other signs of endo anywhere else. We've read that high doses of vit c can help with DH's sperm so he's been on that for the last 2 months. Phew.. sorry it got a bit long winded...

So any symptoms to report...?

AnythingNotEverything Fri 25-Jan-13 11:40:47

How annoying - just typed a response and lost it. Grrrrr.

Anyway.

Wow - you're much more experienced than I am. Hope you're positivity this month helps you get that bfp. I interesting re the vit c - I haven't got my husband on any supplements yet, but I've been taking folic acid since November. I don't want to overwhelm him as he's concerned I'll become some kind of loon!

I think it's too early for symptoms as I wouldn't have implanted yet. Hoping to some signs this time next week ... I'm so impatient!

Solars Fri 01-Feb-13 20:33:06

Hi there! I just dug out this thread to see how you were doing Anything?

To be honest when we first started ttc DH never took any supplements, he's only on the vit c now as it should hopefully help with the antisperm antibodies. This early on I think you've got the right idea in terms not overwhelming him.

Any symptoms to report...? I've not much to report so far...

AnythingNotEverything Sat 02-Feb-13 19:14:05

Hiya,

Not much to report. Some really tired days, very delayed pmt ... But mainly frustration at trying not to POAS!

My pmt arrived today with full force. I'm absolutely crackers today, really manic. Unusual for it to come so late - AF is due on 7th so I'm actually nearly finished the craziness by now. Who knows - maybe it's a good sign.

Definitely trying to keep a lid on the ttc histeria though. Tis early days here!

How are you getting on?

Solars Sun 03-Feb-13 22:30:59

Hi Anything

I'm doing ok apart from a bit of toothache over the last couple of days, does that count as a symptom?? Looks like I'll have to make a dreaded visit to a dentist. I have convinced myself as usual that I am not pg, although I have a strange urge to poas tmrw morning but I'm sure i'll resist come the morning.

How goes the pmt? I usually get quite weepy a couple of days before AF's arrival. Thankfully I only get mildly irritated by DH which is lucky for him!

Wardy17 Sun 03-Feb-13 22:49:46

Hi, can I join in please, I too am due on the 7th and the waiting is driving me mad. I am using OPKs and I got my smiley face on the 25th dtd leading up to the smiley and also after so fingers crossed!!! I have zero symptoms which is getting me down because I keep thinking I should be feeling something but hoping that the symptoms don't start till you get a missed period!! Trying not to drive myself insane!!

AnythingNotEverything Mon 04-Feb-13 15:48:33

Hi Wardy - welcome!

I think I'm probably out. I had dreadful pmt all weekend. Completely I reasonable and grumpy, plus I POAS with fmu on Sunday (earliest i felt I had a good chance of a faint bfp and a small chance of a false negative and got bfp. AF kit due until Thursday but I bet she's coming! I've moved on to next month in y head now, which is funny as AF isn't here yet!

Fingers crossed for you both, and good luck with your teeth!

Wardy17 Mon 04-Feb-13 18:40:12

Fingers crossed for you too, it's not over until AF arrives. I feel like time is going so quickly in all other aspects of my life apart from waiting for AF so frustrating!!!

Katnisscupcake Tue 05-Feb-13 14:34:31

Hi all,

Can I join you? Been on MN for 5 years in June. Through TTC, MC, new PG, Gestational Diabetest, horrendous birth and then subsequent feeding/illness/weight related threads with a toddler.

DD is now 3.5 and we've decided to try for DC2. Had an MC (my second) back in July last year and they think it may have been ectopic so quite nervous about TTC. Nothing for the last couple of months when we got back on the horse (so to speak wink) but hoping that this is our lucky month.

I think I'm DPO3/4. Got a very strong +ive OPK on Friday and then a -ive on Saturday, so I think I OVd on Friday/Saturday at some point. DTD on Friday and the 3 nights before that.

I symptom spot even when I know I'm not possibly pregnant, so I'm a nightmare. But one thing I have figured are that symptoms tell you NOTHING!! I've had bleeding gums, nausea, spotting, cramping, no-spotting, spots, no-spots, loss of hair, no loss of hair etc etc. I had loads of them when I was PG last time (that ended in MC) and I've had them since and not been PG. So as much as I still note them and track them, I know they don't mean anything really... Wouldn't it be nice to have a DEFINITE symptom a few days before so getting the +ive HPT would just be the confirmation that you're PG and you can sit there watching the line appear, already knowing that it was going to???!!!

Oh well... Got at least 10 days to wait until I can POAS. So I'll revel in your good news (that you're bound to get) instead!!!

mrsLAQ Tue 05-Feb-13 15:28:28

Do you mind if I join you ladies? I think/hope I am now in the DPO window, I don't use OPKs and only came off of the pill (cerazette) in December. Had a period 30 days later so based on that am hoping I'm about 5 DPO.

Haven't had any signs of ovulation this cycle though so not convinced it's actually happened confused

The only thing I have been aware of are headaches around my supposed time of ovulation on cd15 and one in full swing as we speak on cd21/DPO5. I'd love to say it was a sign but am trying to be realistic, so easy to get carried away!

Think I will test on Feb 16th which is when I am hopefully due a BFP (or af if not), so 11 days to go...

Just out of interest as I'm quite new to all of this, should we still be dtd every other day even around cd21?

FX for you all smile

AnythingNotEverything Tue 05-Feb-13 15:34:30

Welcome katniss!

AF is due on Thursday and while I do believe you re:symptoms, I also don't want to ... And the fact I have no symptoms makes me think AF is coming soon.

You soon like you've had a long old road getting here. Sorry about the mc- cant even imagine.

I already have a dc too - one ds at nearly 13. He was a complete accident so I've been soooooo careful since he was born, which makes this waiting so odd!

Fingers crossed for us ...

AnythingNotEverything Tue 05-Feb-13 15:45:00

Hi mrsLAQ!

I was all for dtd eod ... Until I hit a wall a few days ago (about 9dpo) and don't even fancy a cuddle now.

I think the best plan is "as much as you can", but I hope/think my body must know ... I can't get enough during ovulation, so think those are my signs.

Not sure that's much help (or sickeningly tmi). Sorry!

mrsLAQ Tue 05-Feb-13 16:15:16

Funny you say that anything , between cd9 and cd19 I was completely in the mood but now on cd21 I'd rather curl up with a brew ! Perhaps it is a sign like you say.

AnythingNotEverything Tue 05-Feb-13 17:04:46

Yup - I think Mother Nature knows. I (like to) think I'm quite in time as I get awful pmt and sore bbs, so my month is something of a roller coaster.

Really hope I haven't got it all upside down!

AnythingNotEverything Wed 06-Feb-13 12:44:55

Hmmmmm. So AF issue tomorrow. I have had lots of waves of nausea this morning.

Driving myself crazy!

AnythingNotEverything Wed 06-Feb-13 12:59:07

*due

Not issue!

Wardy17 Wed 06-Feb-13 13:34:21

anything I'm totally the same my AF is due tomorrow this morning on the way to work I felt so hungry that I felt sick, I don't normally and I eat my breakfast at work. When are you going to POAS?

Tinyflutterby Wed 06-Feb-13 15:12:28

Can I join too? Am ttc#2 with very long irregular cycle and like some of you ladies have also been avoiding opk's and temps as I drive myself crazy as it is and I think that would make me worse! Have just been looking for EWCM, however that method doesn't seem to be foolproof either as I thought it was happening about 3 times! (or maybe just wishful thinking?)

So, think I ovulated about a week ago (day 23/24!) and am due af about this time next week. Not good at waiting it has to be said! I usually get cramps, sore boobs, spots etc the week before af, but when I was pg last time I had exactly the same symptoms as pmt so not very reliable.

Have given in and bought OPK's for next time and hubby thinks I should go to GP as I'm 36 now and it took 2 yrs ttc#1. Has been a really stressful last few wks so prob hasn't happened this time, still we live in hope. Good luck everyone who is testing soon.

AnythingNotEverything Wed 06-Feb-13 15:47:25

Hi tinyflutterby - welcome to the thread.

Maybe you should see the dr. If only to see what might be available or what evidence they would need to help you, so you can yet started. I'm only on cycle 2 (cycle 1 seriously) and am writing everything down so if we have any problems conceiving I can have a good record to show the docs!

If you have irregular cycles it might be worth doing te temping as charting stuff. I do t really understand it!

Wardy - I might POAS tomorrow as AF is due ... But I really ought to wait as you an easily be a day late here or there. I POAS last Sunday and got bfn but I was reading another tread where they were saying boots hots were rubbish ... And now I'm all confused again!

I'm already fed up of not being able to plan stuff! I just wanna know when this light happen ... So impatient!

X

mrsLAQ Wed 06-Feb-13 18:25:49

Hi tiny , I'm pleased you said that about EWCM as I wonder if I've seen it more than once this cycle too not a good start at being a first class symptom spotter

I'm also not sure of my cycle lengths but had some more possible EWCM yesterday/today. I could have sworn there was a pink tinge to it last night but that may well have been my imagination! Today (cd22, DPO6 if you believe the app on my phone ) I have had some mild af type cramping, does anyone know how I tell the difference between implantation cramps and ovulation pains as I'm now starting to worry wonder that this is me in fact ovulating?

I'm worried as we last dtd on day19, think I'll have to insist dh gets his kit off again tonight but worried I've missed the window!

mrsLAQ Wed 06-Feb-13 18:27:35

Wardy and anything , good luck if you're POAS soon, keep us posted smile

Wardy17 Wed 06-Feb-13 19:29:13

I POAS when I got home..... BFN!!!

mrsLAQ Wed 06-Feb-13 19:50:07

Oh no, rubbish. Has af arrived? If she's not here in a few days maybe re-test? I'm stressing myself out reading that my imaginary implantation cramps are actually ovulation, but I'm too late with dtd sad

babyrose Wed 06-Feb-13 19:51:24

Sorry wardy. I'm starting to feel very doubtful and it's just all my imagination!

MrsLAQ I'm getting the same type symptoms, crampy, pressure type feeling.

mrsLAQ Wed 06-Feb-13 20:00:22

Yep, that's the one babyrose: crampy, bloated, slightly "tense" low abdo feeling and more CM today. When did you say your af is due? How many DPO are you? Fingers (and toes) crossed our imaginary symptoms prove to be real!

babyrose Wed 06-Feb-13 20:05:53

Af is due 14 and I think 7dpo which im just going by my phone app this time.
My boobs are sore today which thought was a bit early?

Keeping fingers crossed for us!

AnythingNotEverything Wed 06-Feb-13 20:35:20

Oh Wardy what a shame ... Although its not over until AF makes an appearance!

Wardy17 Wed 06-Feb-13 20:37:32

mrsLAQ no AF hasn't arrived I normally have a 32 day cycle so that will be tomorrow. I don't know if it makes a difference that I tested in the eve instead of the morning or that the test was 25ml sensitivity. I'm clinging on to anything I can just don't want AF to arrive sad

Wardy17 Wed 06-Feb-13 20:39:18

anything fingers crossed she doesn't arrive for any of us!!! Have you decided if your going to POAS tomorrow?

AnythingNotEverything Wed 06-Feb-13 20:48:30

I'm still trying to decide whether to POAS tonight! I'm going to spend a small fortune ttc. I've had two bfns already this month!

AnythingNotEverything Wed 06-Feb-13 21:04:07

OMG! Very faint bfp with evening wee.

OMG! I was so convinced I wasn't pg I "treated myself" to a cigarette today and we shared a bottle of wine last night!

Will POAS again tomorrow with fmu and report back.

Fingers crossed for all of us folks xx

Wardy17 Wed 06-Feb-13 21:30:18

Oohh exciting FX for you, let us know tomorrow how you get on

LoveLaughingLots Thu 07-Feb-13 06:23:18

Anything super excited for you! FX!!

Just started 2ww, I'm 4dpo, convinced I'm seeing all sorts of signs! smile we'll see, trying to ignore but I've got a while to wait haven't I....

Sending positive vibes to you all ladies!!

LLLx

AnythingNotEverything Thu 07-Feb-13 07:27:21

Morning!

Fmu hpt was another faint positive. I'm due on today, and sometimes day one is just spotting so I might not actually be officially late et.

Any recommendations for an all singing all dancing test so I can make properly sure?!

Sending you positiveness! X

QueenofClean Thu 07-Feb-13 07:41:03

Can I join in?

TTC#3. DD1 almost 8yrs, DD2 13 months.

AF due on 14/15 feb. only symptom is nausea but purely because I'm tired due to my girls tag teaming me last night sad

QueenofClean Thu 07-Feb-13 07:41:29

Anything I recommend Clearblue digital.

babyrose Thu 07-Feb-13 07:43:29

Morning anything, a line is a line as they say! Congratulations.

Wardy17 Thu 07-Feb-13 07:56:41

Congrats anything!!!!

I tested again this morning with fmu still BFN!!!

AnythingNotEverything Thu 07-Feb-13 08:23:34

Hi queen of clean - thanks for the advice.

And welcome - I hope this is a lucky thread for us all ... Ttc#3?! Wowsers!

KirstyoffEastenders Thu 07-Feb-13 09:41:52

AF started for me today but tbh I'm happy because it's the first proper one since coming off Cerazette. We haven't been using protection for about 5 weeks so I had a little hope but I wasn't tracking ovulation or anything so now BRING IT ON!!

Couple of questions, does ovulation testing really improve your chances of conception? And is 1-2 times per day too much DTD?

QueenofClean Thu 07-Feb-13 09:54:35

Thanks Anything, yep think we must be mad going in for No3!

LoveLaughingLots Thu 07-Feb-13 10:05:52

Anything Keeping everything crossed for you!

Kirsty I don't have much experience of tracking OV before this cycle. I have found it quite helpful in keeping me motivated, although I'm not sure if it is making me slightly obsessed! lol It's adviseable to DTD every 1 - 2 days but I'd say go for it as much as you want to!

Question for the floor - I did OV test yesterday (simply because I got my new ones and wanted to test them out) I thought I'd O'd on 3rd Feb (according to calendars and my cycle) and that I was 4DPO, but the OPK test I did yesterday was positive (which I didn't get with my tests before!). Is is possible that I can get a +OPK after OV and during 2ww??? Or am I OV now??? I'm slightly confused...

Advice appreciated ladies, thanks. smile

LLLx

LoveLaughingLots Thu 07-Feb-13 10:06:53

wardy make sure you're not testing before anything will show up! It will drive you insane! Hang in there (((hugs)))

LLLx

Wardy17 Thu 07-Feb-13 10:20:21

LLL my AF is due today, do you think it's too early to tell?I used a cheap pg test that was 25 miu. I hate waiting its driving me nuts!!! Sorry I don't know much about OPKs

LoveLaughingLots Thu 07-Feb-13 10:58:00

wardy may be too early to tell! Esp using 25miu test. Have you got a 10miu test?? Maybe try one of those if you really can't wait...

Love this website guys

Pregnancy Test Calculator

Wardy17 Thu 07-Feb-13 11:09:25

Thanks LLL Ian going to try and wait but I know what I'm like. Do you know what tests are 10miu?

Wardy17 Thu 07-Feb-13 11:56:08

Hi can someone help me work something out please. My last AF started on the 7th Jan, my cycle is normally 32 days I worked that out to be today as I included the 7th but now I'm thinking is it in fact tomorrow? What do you think?

AnythingNotEverything Thu 07-Feb-13 12:01:40

My last AF started 7th jan and I'm a 28 day cycle, and my app tells me I was due on today.

Sounds like you're not late yet Wardy!

LoveLaughingLots Thu 07-Feb-13 12:05:57

Oh btw guys, I think I have answered my own question after conducting sme research. I think my new super senstive OPKs detect LH too low (25 miu), most OPKs detect the surge at 30 - 40 miu...hence the reason why my test is positive! Grrrr

Wardy I would just check the detection level of any brand. I have used First Response and ClearBlue but seeing as I am yet to have +ive I can't really back up my advice on PG tests!

LLLx

Wardy17 Thu 07-Feb-13 12:07:42

I've been calculating it wrong this whole time sad

LoveLaughingLots Thu 07-Feb-13 12:18:39

AnythingNotEverything What app do you use??

LLLx

AnythingNotEverything Thu 07-Feb-13 12:23:01

It's called My Cycles - free on App Store and the pic is a pink Chrysanthemum.

Works for me - you can track symptoms and it averages out your cycles and tells you when your fertile time is likely to be. It's not fool proof, but my cycles are pretty stray so it's great for me.

LoveLaughingLots Thu 07-Feb-13 12:27:58

Brilliant, thanks Anything, I shall be downloading that as soon a my iPhone is back up and running! Managed to accidentally (I swear!) throw it into the fireplace! lol

LLLx

Tinyflutterby Thu 07-Feb-13 13:34:51

Does anyone else find they actually seem to make their 2ww longer just by hoping they don't get af?

Wardy17 Thu 07-Feb-13 13:49:35

Yes!!! I've made the wait do much worse for myself by obsessing!!

Tinyflutterby Thu 07-Feb-13 13:53:25

Sometimes I wish there was a little window that you could look in and say 'ah, so I'm ovulating' or 'oh, so that pain is implantation'... (sorry, bit weird, but would make things so much easier and none of this hanging around obsessing about what every imaginary symptom is!)

Wardy17 Thu 07-Feb-13 13:55:23

I know!! And this the only place to vent coz everyone else would think I was crazy!!

mrsLAQ Thu 07-Feb-13 17:00:54

A window would be great! I always thought I would be quite relaxed about ttc, how wrong I was...

babyrose Thu 07-Feb-13 17:18:31

How's it going Mrslaq? Having anymore symptoms?

mrsLAQ Thu 07-Feb-13 17:29:41

The only new one is that I burst into tears today, not sure that's a pg symptom though! Cramping seemed to ease off around lunchtime today. The more I over think it, the more I have convinced myself that I have just missed ovulation sad

I have been drinking plenty of (decaf) brew to try and cheer myself up, feel free to tell me to snap out of it! I think I'm going slightly doo-lally...

How about you? Any new symptoms?

babyrose Thu 07-Feb-13 17:44:28

I'm getting that feeling aswell missing ovulation but would the crampy/pressure feeling go on for 3 nites makes me wonder.sore boobs for the last two days but more noticeable today. And (sorry for this) snot like discharge.
Ive read people getting hormonal whilst pregnant, so it sounds hopeful!

mrsLAQ Thu 07-Feb-13 18:15:09

Ahhh it worked, you have restored my hopes!

Spooky how similar our symptoms sound, although my boobs aren't doing anything unusual. I know exactly what you mean by "snot like", it's definitely not snot like in an infected sense but I had wondered what it was all about!

I have to go to a drinks thing on Saturday, was wondering about caving and having one as I was being a pessimistic grump bag, but perhaps I'll hold off in hope.

When are you testing? I was thinking about next Friday as that's the theoretical day my af is due and I'm scared of doing it too soon for a BFN!

babyrose Thu 07-Feb-13 18:37:22

U could always pretend to drink! Then nobody would suspect anything.

I'm not sure about testing, I think I might try to hold off as long as I can( im sure I will cave in sooner tho!

Its heart breaking getting that bfn.

QueenofClean Thu 07-Feb-13 18:48:28

Hey Ladies

I'm home from a long day at work. My girls are in bed so just having a hot bath before some dinner and relaxing and enjoying the last few hours of my twenties!

I have no symptoms tbh although do feel my boob are bigger it's all in my head

Like MrsLaq AF due next Friday so just waiting to see tbh.

Wardy17 Thu 07-Feb-13 20:00:28

AF due tomorrow tested this eve BFN!!!

mrsLAQ Thu 07-Feb-13 23:41:59

Ahhh happy birthday queen! Sorry about the bfn wardy,fx afraid will stay away and you might get a different result in a few days.

mrsLAQ Thu 07-Feb-13 23:42:26

*af

QueenofClean Fri 08-Feb-13 05:23:48

Thanks MrsLaq.

Today it's my birthday and I'm 29+1 grin

No symptoms here. I will be really shocked and thrilled if we managed to get upduffed this month considering we had the bug the week I was ov.

LoveLaughingLots Fri 08-Feb-13 06:35:10

Happy Birthday Queen of Clean!! All the best for the coming year!

* raises glass of champagne * Oooh champagne....

Apprx 4/5DPO today, defo feeling more pain. So much so that We couldn't BD...is that normal? We BD throughout the cycle not just during O, it takes my mind off things (well, sorta!)

How is everyone doing today? Symptoms? More BFPs?! Fx...

LLLx

QueenofClean Fri 08-Feb-13 08:07:55

LLL thanks I think we are all entitled to a large small glass of champers wink

LoveLaughingLots Fri 08-Feb-13 09:07:15

Queen of Clean I feel guilty if I drink! Like I've given up or something...I dunno...I'll think about it, I would KILL a glass of champagne though! Hope you have a good day!

Wardy try and stay positive! A near impossible feat, I know! But I find focussing on what I want makes me feel better. If focussing on a BFP doesn't feel too good because you're just thinking about not having one yet, then just think about something else that makes you feel good!! Thinking of you...

Is anyone testing around Valentines Day?? How cool (and cheesy! lol) would that be? I think Ariel said she was...

My DP kindly reminded me this morning that I will be nearing the date AF is usually here...I didn't think he paid much attention tbf! lol

Have a good day girls.

LLLx

babyrose Fri 08-Feb-13 09:17:17

Hi LLL, im due af on Valentine's day! I think it will be a great gift I just hope we get one.

QueenofClean Fri 08-Feb-13 09:30:21

LLL I'm due 15th feb.

Wardy17 Fri 08-Feb-13 09:37:30

Thanks LLL AF is due today, it's all I can think about. Thanks for your words of support x

LoveLaughingLots Fri 08-Feb-13 09:40:24

Yay babyrose that'll defo be good news! I'm slightly after Valentines, but I'm hoping I'll have all the signs by then!

Have you been SS? Anything going on?

LLLx

AnythingNotEverything Fri 08-Feb-13 11:57:45

Wardy - when do you plan to POAS? I had 2 bfns and even on af due date had only had faint bfps (x3... Oops!)

Fx for all of us ...

Wardy17 Fri 08-Feb-13 12:34:02

anything I POAS Wed, Thurs and today all BFNs my AF is due today. I used an FRER this morning with fmu and still BFP think I might as well join the match bus now!!! Are you going to do a digi? X

Wardy17 Fri 08-Feb-13 12:35:09

Sorry meant to say stil BFN

Solars Fri 08-Feb-13 13:06:21

Oh wow I've just been reading this Anything and congratulations on your BFP, lovely news. I think AF will turn up tomorrow for me judging by my last cycle. Good luck to everyone else x

AnythingNotEverything Fri 08-Feb-13 13:13:16

Sorry Wardy - you seem to be having a rather frustrating time!

I did a clear blue plus last night and got faint bfp (AF was due yesterday). I meant to buy a digi but saw a colleague in boots and had to choose before she saw me!

I think three faint bfps and AF being 2 day's late is surly conclusive, plus I'm knackered and starving.

Stay sane peeps and thanks for your congrats xx

QueenofClean Fri 08-Feb-13 13:24:15

Wardy don't give up hope.

Anything congrats on your BFP.

I'm sat in the hairdressers and having a shopping and pampering day. Being 29+1 today isn't all bad lol

babyrose Fri 08-Feb-13 13:44:28

Anything, lots of symptom of spotting going On! Crampy/pressure type on my tummy since Monday to but only at nite for some reason. Sore boobs and some snot like discharge a couple of times. Maybe I'm thinking too much Into things.

Congratulations!

Wardy17 Fri 08-Feb-13 13:56:37

Congratultions anything!!!! I will test again in a few days if AF hasn't arrived not testing anymore until next week FX she doesn't arrive

QueenofClean Fri 08-Feb-13 18:44:36

I have been thoroughly spoilt today so turning 30 isn't all bad lol. Had clothes, shoes, money, new hair doo and DH brought some pregnancy tests. Think he's more excited than I am lol grin

LoveLaughingLots Mon 11-Feb-13 06:32:52

Morning ladies,

This w2 of my 2ww and I'm struggling to differentiate between real symptoms and occasionally bad wind haha

Hope all of you are good, have good start to the week.

Looking forward to that BFP!

LLLx

QueenofClean Mon 11-Feb-13 07:06:41

I tested this morning - am due thurs/Friday and got bfn. Will wait for AF to arrive now, if she doesn't arrive on Friday I'll test again.

gillian1986 Mon 11-Feb-13 08:07:10

I'm (im)patiently waiting right now also wink
AF due on 21st Feb-ish (only came off the pill in december so dont know for sure yet if my cycles are quite back to normal)
TTC for the first time and well aware this could take a while but still hoping smile
Pretty sure I was ovulating last week Weds/Thurs so we dtd then but had a lot of bloating and cramps on those days and ever since really (slightly better today). It's a waiting game I guess!!

Wardy17 Mon 11-Feb-13 09:20:11

3 days late today still getting BFN. Does anyone know how I work out what my leutal phase is?

LoveLaughingLots Mon 11-Feb-13 09:35:19

I'm waiting until this weekend to POAS. I'm not due until Sat/Sun anyway.

Re SS - what are people experiencing? I was super emotional this morning (cried about practically nothing!) and I'm very tired. BBS are fine and usually they'd be tender in the run up to AF...FX!

Wardy what contraception did you just come off? And the dates of your last AF? I'll try and find a website for you to work out your LP.

It's funny how when you're on contraception you don't pay any real attention to your body, but when you're TTC you can feel everything and can (sort of) work out what's going on...

Stay positive ladies!

LLLx

Wardy17 Mon 11-Feb-13 10:06:47

LLL I haven't been on any contraception since July last year. I fell pg in September and mc in November. If it helps my last period was 07/01 and I think I ovulated around the 25th or 26th jan xx

mrsLAQ Mon 11-Feb-13 10:15:43

Morning all smile , 1 more week until I can POAS and a week of nights this week so perhaps that will keep my mind off things yeah right

LLL I'm also exhausted and very emotional without sore boobs, different to before my last af but then that was the first one I'd had since coming off the pill so not sure I really know what's normal for me.

Hoping it's a good sign for us!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful Mon 11-Feb-13 10:21:02

Hi could I join in for a 2ww. Am on 7dpo, had a horrible virus around ov so I really don't think this is my month but you never know.

Good luck everyone.

gillian1986 Mon 11-Feb-13 10:44:43

I think I'm over sensitive about what's happening with my body.. It could all be nothing... But.. I am very bloated .. Have cramps.. And today when I woke up I felt really down... Crying and very upset! Felt like pmt but not due for 2 weeks.

LoveLaughingLots Mon 11-Feb-13 10:54:52

Hi When I hopped over to this thread for my 2WW, welcome!

Wardy I think you need December's dates for Ov according to this website http://mymonthlycycles.com/lutealcalc.jsp or am I reading incorrectly?

LAQ Honestly, I know this is not normal for me, so I am just trying to tell myself it's because I'm pg! FX...What date are you going to POAS? I would prefer to just wait it out as long as possible because I hope AF won't be here this month! But I doubt I can wait that long! lol Sending positive vibes your way! grin

LLLx

Wardy17 Mon 11-Feb-13 11:16:09

Thanks LLL It does look that way. I didn't have a period in Dec due to mc in Nov so I guess I just need to keep waiting

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful Mon 11-Feb-13 11:19:44

Hi lll I'm going to spread myself across two threads this month. Not much point being on this thread, I really don't think this will be my month but you never know.
Your symptoms sound quite promising, fx.

gillian sorry you are feeling down, hope it is early preg symptoms. I try and ignore all symptoms as my mind seems to make up symptoms.

LoveLaughingLots Mon 11-Feb-13 11:23:05

Wardy ah yes, sorry to hear that. So I suppose it's FX for this month then! No AF is surely a good sign! Your cycle may just have been thrown out of whack??

LLLx

Wardy17 Mon 11-Feb-13 11:49:06

Thanks LLL

gillian1986 Mon 11-Feb-13 12:39:27

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful im hoping its symptoms too although im the same as you! I find symptoms that dont even really exist...! feel fine now but this morning i couldnt stop crying.... dont even remember what it was about but hubby was quite confused! haha!
anyway... thought the bloating had passed but i am SOOOO bloated right now on my lunch break i feel like my belly is going to burst! its been like this for a few days now and never had this before (normally when i feel bloated it passes within a few hours... not days!)

Tinyflutterby Mon 11-Feb-13 14:25:26

Think my af should be due end of this week/weekend. Think there's a few of us due at same time? Feeling very emotional and burst into tears this morning, but then ttc is an emotional time so could just be that. Trying not to look for symptoms, but hard not to. Not planning to POAS until after the weekend, although may not be able to hold out that long!

LoveLaughingLots Mon 11-Feb-13 15:14:26

Tinyflutterby We are almost in-sync - I burst into tears this morning too! lol

When you never know, it could be your month!

I'd love it if everyone on this thread of this months 2ww got a BFP! Remember to come back and let us all know! I need to pass my time with something...

LLLx

Katnisscupcake Mon 11-Feb-13 16:48:36

Congratulations Anything - sorry I've been away from the thread since last week!! smile

So, think I'm out this month. Only 9DPO and last night had some (TMI) brown CM. Nothing since I would love to say that it might have been implantation bleeding, but I honestly don't think it was. And if it was, in my case any kind of bleeding is not a good sign.

I had implantation bleeding with my first PG and MCd at 5 weeks, then had DD and then last July bled from DPO13, came on DPO14 as normal, but then got a BFP a week later, followed by a MC. A very very confusing month.

So I associate any sort of bleeding with MC. Other than that, my boobs were sore last night and like you Tinyfutterby and LLL I cried too, but actually in the middle of the night when I realised that my boobs were sore and that it might mean that I'm PG, but also that I might have another MC!! hmm. Clearly I'm losing it... LOL Have to say though, since about 4DPO, REALLY vivid dreams - all night!! So very little sleep...

AF is due Friday/Saturday so in sync with quite a few on here this week so I guess we'll all have to wait and see... I won't be testing early though... she says

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful Mon 11-Feb-13 19:47:21

Thanks lll you never know but I'm not holding my breath. Think I will do a test on thurs then I can forget about it.

katniss sorry about your mcs. I can understand how nervous you are feeling. I had 3 chem pregs last year (bled at about 5 wks). I really really want a BFP but am quite scared of it at the same time. I don't want to go through it again.

Best of luck

AnythingNotEverything Mon 11-Feb-13 19:52:14

Hi all,

Just checking in to see how you're all getting on. Sounds like there are some ups and downs!

Thanks for your congratulations. I'm 5 weeks today and still getting used to it. Hoping this is a sticky bean!

I'll pop by soon to hear about some bfps hopefully ..

<wheels in Pancake stand> who's first?!

LoveLaughingLots Tue 12-Feb-13 12:29:23

QueenOfClean me me me!!! Lovvvvvve pancakes! brown sugar and lemon please! grin

Ladies, opinion on exercise: I do yoga and I occasionally play netball, haven't played netball for some weeks but really want to play a match tonight. It's quite fast-paced, occasional contact, should I play or not??

LLLx

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful Tue 12-Feb-13 13:34:56

queen me too for pancakes, also lemon and brown sugar (I like to keep it simple).

lll the advice from GPs is that you are ok to exercise at the same level. If it was me I would go and play netball. Have fun.

Tinyflutterby Tue 12-Feb-13 13:40:20

It really helps knowing other people are in the same boat with this and counting the days. Sometimes feels like I'm wishing my life away counting the days 'til ov then again 'til af. I'm too scared to even think of the outcome end of this week as it took 2 years to get pg first time.

LLL - yeah advice seems to be if you're used to the type of exercise already then its fine. Might distract you for a bit too which is always good!

QueenofClean Tue 12-Feb-13 13:45:26

Bfn this morning. Tested as so tired. So just waiting for AF.

I think ovulation was effected as week I was due to ovulate I had a sickness bug sad

QueenofClean Tue 12-Feb-13 13:46:54

<2 plates of pancakes with brown sugar & lemon tossed thrown at LLL & When>

Katnisscupcake Tue 12-Feb-13 16:43:58

Hello all,

Someone suggest something to get me out of this depressive mood sad

I'm definitely out this month and feeling really low about it. No more spotting during the day yesterday but then at bedtime, just when I was starting to get my hopes up, some bright red in my CM. sad

No more today that's red, but just some very slightly brown CM. But that's exactly how the spotting started the few months that I got spotting before AF. Weirdly last month I didn't get ANY spotting so thought that I'd got through that stage since I started taking the Seven Seas Vitamin C Complex with Folic Acid.

Just really really down. I'm 39 in June and really worried that it's just not going to happen. Sometimes I wonder if it's worse if you've fallen PG quickly before (even if MCs have then happened) because you just can't understand why it isn't happening this time around...

So let's have a list of things to look forward to!!

Pancakes (thanks for the nudge ladies - pancake mix - with added sugar and vanilla extract - now in the fridge)
Half Term next week and I've got the week off (loads of wonderful days with DD - the local farm activity centre is opening on Saturday for the year and we are getting the membership - baby miniature pigs, lambs, goat-kids etc etc)
Lots of wine on Valentine's Day (although AF isn't properly due until Friday/Saturday so I should take it slightly easy just in case I guess...)
Rare Steak with Chips from M&S for our 'dine in for two' on V Day (Beef, not horse)

That's all I can think of for now... Hopefully it'll start to cheer me up.

How is everyone else doing?! Anymore BFPs??

babyrose Tue 12-Feb-13 17:01:03

I got af this morning ( 2 days early), it's not very heavy which is not like me. Ive been taking folic acid for a few wks now so I don't think that would affect it. Got a bfn yesterday.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful Tue 12-Feb-13 17:22:34

babyrose sorry af is here. It's so hard getting your hopes up each month only for bfn to show up again.

katniss sounds like a good plan for cheering yourself up. Hope you feel better soon.

marshmallowqueen Tue 12-Feb-13 17:24:29

Ladies I have been lurking and I hope you don't mind if I join in as I need a slap round the face some advice. Have been TTC no1 for 3 years and have just been referred for IVF but am in 2ww, af due Sunday. I know it's ridiculous and totally unlikely I am up the duff particularly as I don't think we DTD at the right time but I have had mega mega sore boobs and , tmi alert , today on cd23 some light spotting. Also have had really bizarre dreams and waking up ridiculously early in the morning and some strange twinges and pains 'down there'. What do you think? Somebody slap me!

Katnisscupcake Tue 12-Feb-13 18:32:36

Well marshmallow it does sound promising if you haven't had it before. I have the same symptoms but in my case I have had them a few times before so definitely not pg related in my case.

I've heard lovely stories of people finding out that they have fallen pg naturally when they start down the if route so I really hope that is the case for you aswell!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful Tue 12-Feb-13 18:52:14

marshmallow big slap grin. They do sound like promising symptoms but I would urge caution re symptom spotting (purely based on my own experience).

Really hope this turns into one if those, about to have ivf then got knocked up accidentally stories. Fx for you.

marshmallowqueen Tue 12-Feb-13 19:03:01

Thank you hopeful for much needed slap! And Katniss for sharing your experience and both for being positive for me smile You are of course quite right. I tell myself every month not to symptom spot but even after 3 years my hopes get up a bit each time. And tbh I do get sore boobs every month but this month it just seems earlier and more noticeable than usual. But really after 3 years I should have learnt!!

If by any miracle I do end up pg I will be sure to let you (and the rest of the world!!!) know.

Tinyflutterby Wed 13-Feb-13 14:10:27

Katniss and Marshmallow - please do not give up hope, not all bleeding is a bad sign. I had implantation bleeding when I got pg, but because we'd been ttc for 2 years I shrugged it off as the start of af and went to bed with lots of painkillers (kicked myself afterwards).

I got exactly the same symptoms as PMT - sore boobs, cramps, twinges, over emotional etc. so it is very difficult to differentiate. Also I was a couple of months away from starting IUI (before they try IVF) when it hapenned.

For me I think a lot of it was down to timing, there were bad things going on with me while ttc such as stressful job, being made redundant, acute illness, severe weight loss, then I got another (less stressful) job and some helpful treatment for my illness and I seemed to turn a corner.

So a month into a new job I found out a was pg, but I didn't even care as I was so happy. Unfortunately I wasn't kept on when they announced redundancies after 5 months (surprise surprise), but again I feel it worked out for the best as by that point I had developed PSD and had to use crutches and was very uncomfortable sitting at a desk, so although it wasn't great financially I had lots of time to rest and look after myself.

Now we are back ttc again and I'm having the same problems as before, but am trying not to get worked up about it as I just remind myself how lucky I am to have one child and to treasure every moment I have with him and not waste his childhood worrying about another one who may never come along.

You can't help getting your hopes up each time and I guess its that hope that keeps us going.x

honey86 Wed 13-Feb-13 16:49:57

according to ff im 4dpo, af due 28 feb/1 march. been testing again today (couldnt help myself) neg for hcg neg for lh and neg for fsh so not quite sure what my bodys doing atm x

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful Thu 14-Feb-13 09:44:22

Hi all. I should have posted this yesterday but I am very very nervous. In a fit of insanity I did a clearblue test (one of the cross ones). I saw the faintest of faint lines.
Later on I did a first response, it's positive. I have a poor history re chemical pregnancies so I'm not getting too excited yet. Af isn't r em did till Sunday.

Best of luck everyone.

honey86 Thu 14-Feb-13 10:00:44

aww congrats when...

fingers crossed its a sticky h&h one this time xxx

LoveLaughingLots Thu 14-Feb-13 11:31:15

When so happy for you!!! Seeee!!! Stay positive, forget the chemincal pregnancy stuff, look forward to everything you want coming! All the best xx

Honey a HCG test won't show up anything at 4DPO hun, so you may as well save the tests for now! smile LH may not show up anything either if it tests for LH surge (as opposed to just LH hormone, which we usually always have in our bodies anyways, so some of the more sensitive tests may still be +tive), not sure what FSH test is...let me know. I posted a link further up somewhere about when to test, have a look.

Who is POAS this weekend?

Hope everyone else is good!

LLLx

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful Thu 14-Feb-13 11:41:35

Omg I missed honeys post. Not even I, a massive poas addict, would try at 4dpo.
You need to wait for the blasyocyst to actually attach to the uterus and start producing hcg, the earliest this normally happens is 5/6dpo and then you have to give it a few days for the levels to go up. I've been really lucky getting a positive at 9dpo.

Tinyflutterby Thu 14-Feb-13 14:02:19

Huge congrats When, try not to worry, I'm sure it will turn out good for you this time.

I can't sleep for thinking and wondering just now. Cramps off and on last few days and sore boobs for past week, but then it's the same every month so who knows! I guess I could just do a test, but then if its too early it will be neg anyway and mess with my head. Its driving me crazy though - coping strategies anyone?

LoveLaughingLots Thu 14-Feb-13 14:27:04

Tiny I'm in the same boat! No sore bbs though, which is different to when AF is due this cycle, but I've decided not to waste a test. Will POAS first thing Sun. I talked myself out of POAS today, because it is likely to be neg as its possibly too soon to teel and then I'd just want to test everyday!

I have no coping strategies unfor. OH has decided for me that I won't POAS now, because the "shall I, shan't I" is driving me crackers!

I need to go for a walk or something, choose hubby's Valentines present. Care for a walk Tiny? We can obsess together? lol

LLLx

Tinyflutterby Thu 14-Feb-13 14:54:10

A walk would be good LLL! That's what I usually do to clear my head. Maybe I'll POAS too if I get to Sun with no af, although feeling like may start any minute.x

QuiltySecrets Thu 14-Feb-13 15:23:33

Can I join? I have a DD (15 months) and am now TTC...I'd forgotten how horrible the 2ww is! Am due Sat/Sun I think but had mirena coil before, just removed at new year, so I'm prob being optimistic imagining my cycle is going to have gone back into a nice pattern!
Have been super-weepy this month, but no other symptoms really... Doesn't look good! Am going to try and hold off to test on sat...

LoveLaughingLots Thu 14-Feb-13 15:24:44

Tiny No! Af won't arrive! You're going to think I'm utterly mad, but I am watching youtube videos on the following:

1. Conception (aka the great spern race); and
2. The new video that has gone viral blogs.independent.co.uk/2013/02/14/step-aside-gangnam-style-it%E2%80%99s-time-for-the-harlem-shake/

I'm losing it. Clearly.

LLLx

LoveLaughingLots Thu 14-Feb-13 15:27:54

Hi Secrets welcome! The OP has graduated and we've had a couple of others graduate as well! This is a lucky thread!

LLLx

QuiltySecrets Thu 14-Feb-13 15:35:12

LLL that's exciting! Fingers crossed. I hate how mad and obsessive I get about this.

I have been feeling really rundown recently though - dry/itchy skin, feeling exhausted, mouth a bit funny. I'm prob just getting I'll aren't I?! Can't help but over-analyse and hope though. Gah!

QueenofClean Fri 15-Feb-13 07:00:42

AF is on her way today. All crampy & grumpy etc sad so end of feb, beginning of march is our lucky time.

Thatssofunny Fri 15-Feb-13 11:00:46

Just started 2ww...should ovulate today. Fingers crossed. Can only wait now. I hate waiting. brew
honey My AF is due round about the same time as yours. Let's hope it doesn't get here. grin

gillian1986 Fri 15-Feb-13 12:29:13

Hopping back in this thread! 1 week-ish to go until my period is due! Praying it doesn't come.. Or that if comes+goes fast so me and DH can crack on with TTC and DTD as much as poss! Haha. Really can't be bothered to dtd right now or atall for the next week.. And probably won't anyway cos I'm doing some nightshifts.
Arrgghhhhhhhh this wait is painful.

Tinyflutterby Fri 15-Feb-13 13:13:33

Thanks LLL, you've made me feel more positive. Still no af but feel really down today, especially since my mum has just told me that a fourth close member of my family is pregnant.

gillian1986 Fri 15-Feb-13 14:03:12

I feel like everyone around me is pregnant......or TTC and will all get there before me! Guess that's probably how everyone feels and our time will come!
Positive thinking is the only way... Being negative is so counter productive for me as it puts me off dtd! Happy pregnant thoughts for everyone! smilesmilesmilesmilesmile

Meemawandmoonpie Fri 15-Feb-13 15:09:43

Hi ladies,
I've come for pancakes, realise I'm 3days late but I don't mind gnashing on the first one which always ends up in the bin (at least in my house)!
Ttcnfor our first, off the pill 1st jan, AF 1/4th feb and feel that maybe I'm OV for the past couple of days, punchy type feeling on right side, the other night had a very strange feeling , like AF cramps but not as bad, and feeling a bit sicky today... Sounds good? Think I'm obsessed already, uh oh!

QueenofClean Fri 15-Feb-13 16:54:49

Not started bleeding yet so there is still hope but very much doubt it!

Katnisscupcake Fri 15-Feb-13 18:00:47

Hi all,

Well af turned up today, right as scheduled... the positive is that my cycles are still regular so I'm hoping that is a good sign... sad though and wondering whether it is time for me to give up and just accept that dd is going to be an early child... for some reason I really don't want to be pg at 40 and I am 39 in June.

Hope the rest of you in 2ww have better luck.

Xxxx

Katnisscupcake Fri 15-Feb-13 18:01:38

Of course that should have said only child not early! Lol

QuiltySecrets Fri 15-Feb-13 20:10:29

POAS tonight (due tomorrow... I think...no idea what my cycle is now) - BFN. Oh poo. Going to go and drown my sorrows in a glass of wine.
Hope you all have better luck x

Tinyflutterby Sun 17-Feb-13 14:24:01

Felt really sick last night so I decided to POAS, surprise surprise BFN. I've obviously just got a bug or something. Still no af and boobs not so sore anymore, so no idea what's going on. Totally fed up and hubby getting fed up of me being down all the time. Hope everyone else coping.

LoveLaughingLots Tue 19-Feb-13 08:31:23

Morning Ladies!

This thread seems to have quietened down this week. I decided to come off the forum to give myself a break, not because I was getting obsessed at all! lol

To update: POAS on Friday = BFN. Af was due Sunday, she's not here. I'm not POAS because I just want to wait until I'm sure. FX for you all!

Hope everyone is doing well! Sending you all positivity!

LLLx

honey86 Tue 19-Feb-13 09:02:05

oooohhh good luck love massive fx to you xx

QueenofClean Tue 19-Feb-13 09:13:12

Good Luck LLL.

I should be on day 5 of my period but AF has yet to show her face and poas came up BFN so not sure what's going on!

Tinyflutterby Tue 19-Feb-13 14:06:57

Well immediately after posting the last time, af arrived. Hope you have better luck than me LLL, fx. Think I'll sign off for a while, getting thoroughly fed up and might be making me obsess more. good luck everyone else though.x

LoveLaughingLots Wed 20-Feb-13 14:55:03

Hi Everyone,

Still no AF. Ignoring this until the weekend when I might POAS. Otherwise I'll just leave it as long as possible lol

QueenOfClean FX for you!!! Leave POAS as long as you can!!! Saves money at least!

TinyFlutterby sending you positivity! All the best for the March bus!

Oh btw, has anyone tried Pre-seed or Conceive Plus? Heard great things!

HI Ladies

been watching this thread lately.

So, we are not supposed to be trying but i have been off the pill for 1 year but plans to try next year. However....

we had an accident on the 22nd morning- much to my delight and his horror.
I am now going mad on the 2ww!!

I am praying it comes up positive.

last period started on 7th Feb, so guessing (my phone app) tells me i ovulated on the 22nd, day we dtd. What are the chances you can get pregnant on day of ovulation as i hear you aren't supposed to dtd on that day.

Anyway i am now praying and crossing all fingers and toes and waiting.

I cracked and POAS this morning and got a negative with the tiniest, squint at it, line. its giving me false hope but im clinging to it......

Now i feel i need to POAS daily as i am going cracked with the wait!!

HELP.

metimeatlast Thu 28-Feb-13 21:03:56

hi ladies, this is only our 1st cycle ttc #3 (2dc not current dp,so our 1st dc)
i have been reading loads of threads, trying not to be overly obsessive, isnt really working out that way sad hopefull your af started on the same day as mine, and im on 28 day cycles, 5-6 days left to wait for af. Fingers crossed that a lot of you get your bfps x

NZMummyof2 Mon 08-Apr-13 03:32:48

Hi,
Hope you don't mind me joining you all. DH and I have (sort of) been ttc for a couple of months now. I say sort of because we haven't been properly trying no ovulation tests or too much monitoring of dates. I am desperate for 3rd baby (DD is 4.5 DS is 2.5). AF is due on Wed (that will be CD 28), I am not always super regular but last few months have been between 26-30 days.
I am crampy (comes and goes), occasional pain in boobs, sometimes a lot of cm (feels like wet pants sorry for tmi), had headache last night, been waking up with dryest mouth and been waking up thirsty int he night, can smell everything.... however I am almost 100% cetain it is all in my head! It is so nice to see so many woman also stressing about every little thing!
Oh and did a test on Fri and it was neg sad
