Anyone else testing next week?

AF due on the 23rd...

Come and twiddle your thumbs with me......grin

SeriousStuff Thu 17-Jan-13 00:29:12

Me! AF not due until 28th but will be testing on 25th as won't be able to wait any longer!

chewingguminmyhair Thu 17-Jan-13 00:34:16

Mine is due the same day farmers. smile

farmersdaugther Thu 17-Jan-13 12:47:48

Hurrah, I knew I couldn't be the only one grin

I find waiting the hardest bit. We have been trying for ages but this cycle we started using an ovulation kit as I've had it with BFN's and DD is already 2 and I'd like to get cracking with the stretch marks grinangry

What stage are you guys at?

choubi Thu 17-Jan-13 12:57:56

My period's due on the 25th but i'm not expecting to be pregnant as i have a none hormone IUD in place! The only reason i'm even considering the possibility that i could be pregnant is because of the weird symptoms i'm having....bubbly/crampy tummy, lower backache, thick creamy white/pale pink discharge, headaches, nausea and a sore itchy left breast! The only thing i usually have before my period is cramps the day before so i'm slightly baffled!! Is anyone else having/had similar symptoms?? I'm not sure how i will feel about the result either way at the moment.....but i've got my everything crossed that you all get the results you're hoping for when you test! xx

CunningPlan Thu 17-Jan-13 13:05:36

I am due on 29th, but I think I ovulated early this month - I have got symptoms which are either pregnancy or VERY early and odd PMT: hot, sensitive boobs (as opposed to the usual tender), slight nausea and v windy blush

I may well test at the weekend and see what happens.

lexib Thu 17-Jan-13 13:12:33

Choub, that is the best description I've read. Bubbly! It definitely feels that
We're going to test on the weekend, no idea about my ov date but am feeling a bit like I did before - butterfly like bubbles, slight sickness, stretchy womb feelings, severe irritability yest grin

farmersdaugther Thu 17-Jan-13 14:55:59

Hurrah new people to POAS with...grin

Choub 'Bubbly'...I'm going to steal that!

Can anyone answer this question for me: When I was using the ovulation sticks I should get a window of several days to DTD, right? However I only got one smiley face out of 14 sodding sticks. Is this normal? It would also seem I am ovulating 2 days later than I through. So that explains quite a bit!

My BF called me earlier, she's just been for her 12 week scan. Baby died at 6 weeks, she's had a silent MC. I am so gutted for her and DH. Now she needs to wait for the MC to happen, sounds just dreadful. sad sad

chewingguminmyhair Thu 17-Jan-13 15:59:21

Farmers - this is my first time trying. I tested this morning a week early and it was of course a BFN! Am very impatient.

So sorry to hear about your friend - she could have the miscarriage moved on if she likes?? I donn't think I could wait for nature to take its course.

dollydaydream26 Thu 17-Jan-13 16:03:16

Me!! I'm testing next week unless AF arrives first ! I'm due 24th . Haven't used ovulation sticks as first cycle of trying so waiting to see what happens ! grin
I have dull cramps pains at the moment kind of like AF is imminent but obv not due . I have had that bubbly thing too only for a few hours the other day I have never had that before freaked me out a little !
I'm 7 dpo ( according to phone app ) so wouldn't have any symptoms any would I ?

happylass Fri 18-Jan-13 08:58:41

Me too! AF due 25th. Cycle 5. Gonna try to not POAS unless AF is late or maybe just a day before

farmersdaugther Fri 18-Jan-13 13:26:18

Had AF pains this morning.. Not looking good for me sad

lexib Fri 18-Jan-13 13:46:49

Keeping my fx for you farmers x

twentythirteen Fri 18-Jan-13 18:52:33

Sorry about your friend Farmer I've been there a few times, she has my full sympathy. Thanks for starting this thread. Are you still having af pain?

Hi everyone, I'm 5 dpo today. While it's too early for symptoms with my previous 3 pregnancies I had some kind of "alert", a change to my body scent (noticeable by my OH) with the first, implanation bleeding with the next, and a sharp implantation twinge with my third. Each time different, but each time well before 10 dpo so I'll be symptom spotting like mad. The earliest I can test will be Wednesday, af due anytime from Wednesday to Sunday.

Farmer re the opks, they pick up on a hormone surge that occurs before the release of the egg, but the egg might not release, so keeping testing thrughout the month can be a good idea. It can take up to 4 hours for the surge to be picked up by poas, and if the egg was released straight away then you have 24 hours approximately, because that's how long the egg survives. If you only poas in the morning then that might not leave you enough time to dtd. On the other hand, the egg might be released later... i.e. you just won't know. When I've got pg it's always been one off events on the day of the opk but that's my body, and as sperm can live for several days I don't know what that means in terms of when I actually ovulated.

Anyway, phew that was me being long winded, never a good way to introduce yourself!!!!! blush Good luck to us all!!!!!

lexib Fri 18-Jan-13 21:26:58

On the theme of body alert, is anyone else feeling a tad irritable? I feel totally fine in the day, bit information the eve dh is can't do anything right. Definitely hormonal, and unheard of for me. Is this a symptom anyone else has? Just had to walk off for the second movie we've tried watching tonight as I just can't sit in front of violence. Maybe brains pre-empt the nurture thing? Poor guy.

farmersdaugther Fri 18-Jan-13 21:39:24

Thanks twenty that's good to know. Worrying but good to know smile No further pain here. Felt a bit sick earlier, but i'm sure that has more to do with clearing 4 inches of snow off the drive this afternoon.

Yes lexi I am horribly irritable. DH has been spoken too nagged severally times already today. I'm sure I can arrange a few more moans before bedtime {hahaha}

twentythirteen Sun 20-Jan-13 13:20:08

Lexi, I had to have a go on the xbox shooting zombies, which I NEVER do, in order to work through the terrible sexism in the mad men episode I watched earlier. And OH is on high alert as I've gone into nit picking mode... but to be fair I do this before my period comes anyway. I did however google about my ovary "cramping" (too strong a word but definitely noticeable) and apparently after the egg is fertilised it travels through the fallopian tubes so I'm hopig that was it and that my dates are off since you can't know exactly when you ovulate and that I'm totally pregnant... (oops went off subject) Lexi, do you normally get irritable or could this be a body alert? Farmer any sign of AF yet?

farmersdaugther Sun 20-Jan-13 14:04:57

Stand well back ladies.....I am grumpy as HELL this weekend.

DH got a right ear full yesterday, poor chap. DD also vomited everywhere, argggghhh. And we're snowed in..cabin fever.

No AF yet, but AF pains. sad

How's everyone getting on?

SeriousStuff Sun 20-Jan-13 14:27:48

Had AF-type pains in my lower back since yesterday (AF not due til 28th) and desperately trying not to read into every twinge I feel.

Also trying to decide how early I can test...

retroelement Sun 20-Jan-13 14:42:50

I am also due on 28th, so will be obsessing waiting and testing along with you guys. Last cycle I managed to conjure up the full gamut of pregnancy symptoms by eating gone-off pine nuts ...

lexib Sun 20-Jan-13 15:01:55

Hi twenty, zombies - yeah maybe I should steal his xbox for a bit! Double whammy grin
Sounds like you're looking up as much as me, been all over the Web on searches for signs. I'm not normally irritable, at least nowhere near that, but seems to have settled now. Hmm.
Poas yest, bfn. But waay early, Cd21 and only guessed on ov.
Is anyone else using apps to monitor? I've got at least 3, and a nutrition one now too. Nutty? Me? Never...
Also worked out dtd about 14 times this month, not sure what else can be done!
It's in the hands of the gods I think x

GettingObsessive Sun 20-Jan-13 20:00:09

Well, until yesterday I was UTTERLY convinced I was PG, but then someone on her talked some sense into to me but not before I had ordered early PG tests online and today I definitely don't feel remotely PG.

No doubt I will test once my tests arrive, but I'm not holding out much hope.

twentythirteen Sun 20-Jan-13 23:01:44

The 2ww, it's dreadful. I had a lot of heart palpitations today so what did I do? Of course, I googled it and it's totally a implantation/pg symptom... Of course it freaking is. Haven't we all learned that famous one?! I could probably have a Car accident right now and discover it's an unknown but terribly common sign of pg!!!

chewingguminmyhair Sun 20-Jan-13 23:49:49

Sorry, Getting! See, told you I was in the same boat - I'm on this thread too grin

I tested today, 3 days before AF is due and it was a BFN. sad

farmersdaugther Mon 21-Jan-13 13:27:39

It's not over till the red witch sings...!

lulabelleg Mon 21-Jan-13 14:57:26

Can I join the wait- AF due tomorrow. I think about it and I feel the pain and then it goes. Been ttc for about 7 cycles for DC3- this is the first month using opk which worked with DC1, I really don't think this is the month but am holding out hope and not testing until tomorrow... twenty thirteen -I did actually have minor car prangs when early pregnant with first 2 smile

Marrick Mon 21-Jan-13 15:02:36

Can I join in? AF due yesterday, still not here but had BFN yesterday and the day before. I keep getting twinges like it's about to start, but not sure whether I am imagining themor not! Been trying for a couple of years now and have my first appointment with the specialist next week so this would be great timing!

Sonics Mon 21-Jan-13 15:10:48

Can I join too as I'm going more mental than normal this month!!

I have also struggling to control the google urges and am totally convinced I'm pg. I'm due on sat 26th. Dh has hidden my tests to stop me giving into the urge this week. I've been having crazy vivid dreams for the last few nights. Also feeling knackered this afternoon and slightly sickly. Had a few twinges in my lower abdomen this afternoon too.

I have also been super grumpy!!

Fingers crossed for all of us.

We've been trying for 2 years. Had a missed miscarriage last year as well farmers so have sympathy for your friend. Mine also stopped developing at 6 weeks but wasn't picked up until 12 week scan. All that throwing up was for nothing!!

Roll on Saturday wink

Marrick Mon 21-Jan-13 17:26:00

I'm kind of convinced I'm not....but still no AF! I keep getting twinges and thinking it's about to arrive, but nothing.Sorry about your missed miscarriage Sonics, hope it happens for you this time (and everyone else). It's really odd, this is the first time I've joined one of these threads I think, although I always read them!

littlepinkfizz Mon 21-Jan-13 18:56:41

AF due next Wednesday 30 th. holding out little hope as its cycle 6 for me...

farmersdaugther Mon 21-Jan-13 19:38:11

I just wrote a huge long message to your all and then I lost it. BUGGER.

Welcome to Lula, Marrick and Sonics!

This morning I felt very sick and faint. Only for about 10 mins. Wasn't too bad, maybe it was due to me about to go to a spin class and my body wasn't happy about 45mins of pain! Yet, yesterday and the day before, I have felt very sick in the evenings. I don't wait to over analyse things...

but either I'm sick or 'it worked' confused

Just out of interest, how old is everyone and number of DC's?

I'll start: 31, TTC2

clareyfarey Mon 21-Jan-13 20:05:19

Hey all!

I've only just started TTC for the first time ever (becoming an Auntie in August got the old clock chiming I think!!), but I was due to see AF on 17th Jan.....still nothing! I am convinced I am not up the old spout as I only came off the pill on 30th December......but then we have been quite 'busy' wink

Probably just my cycle a bit messed up......and once AF has been we can practice a bit more!

Oh, and I'm 30 btw

Clare x

lyndsey90 Mon 21-Jan-13 20:23:21

Hi all!
TTC baby #1
Cycle 6
I'm 22!
AF due today but no signs yet.
Tested yesterday, BFN.
Slight twinges today on and off but no other AF symptoms.

lyndsey90 Mon 21-Jan-13 20:24:08

Hi all!
TTC baby #1
Cycle 6
I'm 22!
AF due today but no signs yet.
Tested yesterday, BFN.
Slight twinges today on and off but no other AF symptoms.

Marrick Mon 21-Jan-13 21:48:16

TTC # 1 and aged 35. Although we've only been officially trying for a year, we were trying on and off for a while before that.

Out of the running this month now though as AF arrived earlier :-(

Hi lyndsey, welcome. The worst bit of the 2ww is the last few days I think! Hope you get your bfp, twinges could mean anything, hard to tell at this stage. Are you testing? x

Sonics Tue 22-Jan-13 11:33:40

I need help!! I asked my dh to hide my tests so I didn't give in and POAS before the weekend but I'm thinking of going and buying a test on my lunch break.

Give me some strength please ladies!!!

lulabelleg Tue 22-Jan-13 11:40:34

I'm 37 and ttc DC 3. I'm older now so I think it's against me and DH is not quite so ehem enthusiastic anymoreblush. Due today so a lot of knicker checking!! i'm utterly convinced I can feel it on its way so I'm holding out little expectation. we're going on holiday in August so it's not the best idea anyway but if it doesn't happen soon we may have to stop for all sorts of practical reasons. Sonic be strong, it's only disappointing and expensive if you test too early. I had BFN's first with both my other pregnancys as tested too early though and i am having a full on internal struggle not to test this morning!!

lyndsey90 Tue 22-Jan-13 11:43:09

Sonics no! That's naughty!! Be patient, save your money and wait lol smile

setayharas Tue 22-Jan-13 11:46:47

Don't do it sonic it's a waste of money! Save the tenner or whatever u would spend and get yourself something nice with the money Instead!

Saying that I'm 8dpo and considering starting to use my Internet cheapies just because I have about 50 and I can.

Cycle 3
I'm 25

Absolutely no symptoms sad

Sonics Tue 22-Jan-13 11:50:40

Thanks ladies!! I'm so convinced I'm pg this month I just really want to know.

Saturday seems like a very long way away at the minute

I'm 32
Cycle number I've lost count (2 years)

lyndsey90 Tue 22-Jan-13 11:53:06

I tested day before af due as I've come down with a cold (not had a cold all winter) but got bfn. Might test tomorrow if she doesn't show today. Am 1 day late but this might be cause of my cold? X

Sonics Tue 22-Jan-13 11:54:14

Setay let me know how you get on with your cheapies. That's what my DH has hidden so it makes no sense to go and spend loads of money on a decent test.

I bloody hate this week!!!

Thanks for keeping me strong smile

Sonics Tue 22-Jan-13 12:03:59

Lynds, apparently AF won't be delayed by any stresses at the time you're due as it will always relate to what time in the month you ovulated. The time between ov and AF should always be the same, so although ov can be delayed in the month by stress, the start of AF shouldn't be. If that makes sense!

farmersdaugther Tue 22-Jan-13 16:35:49

Oh Marrick that is literally pants!!! thanks

AF due in 2 days here and I've broken and POAS.....BFN.
I never learn, I very nearly cried!

Time for wine

farmersdaugther Tue 22-Jan-13 16:36:32

Sonics well done for not testing. Good will power!

lulabelleg Tue 22-Jan-13 17:27:51

after planning to wait until all was quiet and children in bed- i did it. AF due today, no sign but absolutely no pg symptoms..... I just POAS and BFP (I don't even know what that stands for!) smile smile smile

Marrick Tue 22-Jan-13 17:37:05

Brilliant news Lulabelleg - congratulations! How exciting grin

lulabelleg Tue 22-Jan-13 17:46:21

thank you marrick- i am keeping everything crossed for you and everybody on this thread on mumsnet and in the world

littlepinkfizz Tue 22-Jan-13 18:05:59

Great news lulabelleg! It means Big Fat Positive!!

Congratulations grin

How long have you been trying for?
What was your secret to getting a BFP? Did you just Dtd loads?

GettingObsessive Tue 22-Jan-13 18:06:33

Congratulations lulabelleg!

As for me my online cheapies arrived today so I rushed upstairs to test like an idiot and it was a BFN obviously

Sigh. Another week of waiting.

lulabelleg Tue 22-Jan-13 18:24:22

littlepinkfizz- I worked out today that we've been kind of trying for 9 months- 8 cycles I think as they are quite long. Properly trying for 5 cycles but this is the first time we used the ov sticks. Same as with DC1. Not much DTD just good timing and raising legs in the air for a while afterwards- who knows if that works but maybe it all counts!

chewingguminmyhair Tue 22-Jan-13 19:00:41

Did another test just now. Bfn.

Hurty boobs and AF due tomorrow sad

chewingguminmyhair Tue 22-Jan-13 19:01:17

Should have read the thread before I posted!

YAY LULA! gringrin

farmersdaugther Tue 22-Jan-13 19:28:23

Lula...hurrah for BFP!

Ball is rolling now...

Sonics Tue 22-Jan-13 19:32:41

I tested :-( BFN :-( AF not due until Saturday so still holding out hope

OMG Lula that's amazing news grin congratulations.

lyndsey90 Tue 22-Jan-13 19:34:01

Hahaha sonics again, i'll say NAUGHTY!!

My OH wants me to wait till a week of being late to test WAAH!!

lyndsey90 Tue 22-Jan-13 19:35:24

chewinggum I tested day before my AF and got BFN, I'm 2 days late, keep ya FX!

Soph80 Tue 22-Jan-13 19:51:51

Fab news Lula! Is this your first?

lulabelleg Tue 22-Jan-13 20:19:30

Soph80- no 3rd, sadly the anxiety about ttc never goes blush

littlepinkfizz Wed 23-Jan-13 10:21:39

Thanks lulabelleg I don't like the ov sticks myself as they put me under pressure!

SeriousStuff Wed 23-Jan-13 14:36:29

Nooooooo! After promising my DH I wouldn't test until Friday, what did I do as soon as he left for work?! I POAS like there was no tomorrow (I've even hidden the wrapper so he won't see later!)

And what did I get? I got what I deserved. A BFN! What is wrong with me?!

Sonics Wed 23-Jan-13 15:20:29

Oh Serious you're just like me :-( I ha to go hunting for the tests he had hidden from me (to be fair he hasn't hidden them well at all!) and then I had to hide the evidence.

When are you due?

twentythirteen Wed 23-Jan-13 15:57:16

Oh dear, I'm the oldest one here... I'm 40, 3 miscarriages, no children YET, but wee only started trying about 14 months ago andwe now have a consultant to monitor the next pregnancy and they are already doing tests to see if there is an pRoblem. I'm on phone so can't name check but yay for the bfp and boo for the bfns, but it is early days, wee must holds out until af comes!

Afm, I'm 10dpo/cd24,, af can come anytime from now until Sunday. I have no symptoms now do Afm not hopeful, bfns keep me grounded so I don't crash when af comes.

SeriousStuff Wed 23-Jan-13 17:09:34

Sonics I'm due AF on 28th. How about you? I'm pretty sure I'm not usually this crazy, and I'm only on cycle 1...

twentythirteen FX for you!

GettingObsessive Wed 23-Jan-13 18:21:51

God, I have definitely turned into a raving loony and so much for people saying don't get her up about it. I can master everything else, why not this!?!

Sonics Wed 23-Jan-13 18:26:40

I think that's the problem Getting. It's the one thing in life we can't really control so it makes it so frustrating when it doesn't work.

I'm due on Saturday serious. Trying not to think about POAS!

littlepinkfizz Wed 23-Jan-13 18:54:22

AF due this day week but have been even more irritable than usual around this time. Don't know if its just bad pmt or a sign, but I've never heard of that one....wishful thinking

memphis83 Wed 23-Jan-13 19:13:26

Can I join?
TTC#2 on 8th cycle, due on the 28th its my birthday next week really hoping for a bfp for a present!

Soph80 Wed 23-Jan-13 19:33:25

Lula - really? You must have some reassurance that you can get pregnant successfully though? Never even had 1 BFP lol! Still very exciting times for you x

lulabelleg Wed 23-Jan-13 20:03:14

Soph80- yes that is very true. I'm that bit older though and I think hormones do very strange things to normally very sensible people. I think its a bit like Sonics says, it's one thing you just can't control how you want. I'm watching and waiting for some good news for everyone smile

lyndsey90 Wed 23-Jan-13 20:09:30

Testing tomorrow, exited!!!

Soph80 Wed 23-Jan-13 21:15:41

Well, wouldn't hold your breath for my BFP lol confused

twentythirteen Thu 24-Jan-13 11:54:21

Still bfn, no af yet...I don't feel premenstrual but neither do I feel pg. how's everyone else?

Sonics Thu 24-Jan-13 12:11:17

Lots of symptom spotting/obsession going on here. Feel absolutely knackered today for no good reason. Very hungry. Still having really vivid dreams every night and still got a lead weight feeling in my stomach when I lie down.

I'm due on sat (28 day cycle) but don't think I ov'd until dc17 so not sure when to test again.

Sorry about your bfn twenty. Lots of fingers crossed that there's hope for all of us yet

SeriousStuff Thu 24-Jan-13 12:21:06

FX-d for everyone over the weekend!

I was planning on testing tomorrow but think it may still be a bit early so trying to wait until Monday...

twentythirteen Thu 24-Jan-13 17:32:13

cd25/dpo11 (dpo is approximate, but still nothing and am wondering if I'm feeling crampy or that's the two huge donuts I just ate blush.

Uff, a very pregnant friend at work today mentioned how hard it must be about my mc's. I brushed it off but it's horrible being surprise/reminded about it, and if I'm honest I'm struggling with jealousy that I don't have the healthy pregnancy she's got. I don't want her to know I'm struggling as I think the world of her, am thrilled for her, and I don't want to miss out on her only pregnancy by being awkward.

Right, moaning over, off to make a lasagne, come on ladies we need more bfp's!!!!!

lyndsey90 Thu 24-Jan-13 17:33:25

BFP today, 3 days late - There is still hope ^^

Sonics Thu 24-Jan-13 18:07:48

Congrats Lyndsey that's amazing!

Ugh I know how exactly how you feel twenty. I have a colleague who is also a good friend going off on mat leave soon. It's hard to maintain the happy and interested facade after mcing :-(

lyndsey90 Thu 24-Jan-13 18:08:50

PFFT I didn't even mean to put BFP... Wouldn't mind but P is nowhere near N!! HAH

littlepinkfizz Thu 24-Jan-13 18:30:04

AF due next Tuesday and have one frer left. Used it today knowing it would be bfn just so I could stop obsessing about when to poas.....but I got 2lines!! Faint, yes, but definitely a line!

Can barely believe it! This is my due date for the mmc I had in July! I hope this is a good omen!

Know however that the chances if yet another mc are very high so not even telling DP til next week if all goes well...

Sonics Thu 24-Jan-13 18:34:16

Hooray for little!!! gringringringrin keeping everything crossed that this one sticks for you.

Sorry Lynds :-(

Bring on more BFPs for everyone

lulabelleg Thu 24-Jan-13 19:36:32

great news little smile

BlablaSos Thu 24-Jan-13 19:44:04

Hi, have been watching this thread, and am now 3 days overdue so thought id join in. Have been really poorly with winter bugs so wonder if that might delay things, feel too poorly to get to the shop for test (dh away). No other sign apart from lots of trips to the toilet although i have been keeping my fluids up so that might be why. Thought I felt AF coming last night but still no sign! May try testing tomorrow.

Soph80 Thu 24-Jan-13 19:53:53

LPF this is AMAZING news!!!! Will you really be able to keep it from DH a whole week?

Lyndsey - gutted :-( did get a little excited for you then. Also, it aint over until the fat lady (AF haha) sings!

Soph80 Thu 24-Jan-13 19:55:13

* although

lyndsey90 Thu 24-Jan-13 20:05:29

Going mad when my mind ain't busy! On off stomach cramps for the past 4 days but no af. How annoying.

twentythirteen Thu 24-Jan-13 21:25:20

Congratulations little! Each pregnancy is its own event, you have every reason to be hopeful!

Commiserations re the typo lyndsey! But maybe its true, wait and see...

Sonic, thanks for that,Ii feel bad about it, but I kind of sink a bit when isee her at the moment.

Hi blabla, good luck!

I just wasn't to know now,v Argh, the waiting!

littlepinkfizz Thu 24-Jan-13 22:22:30

Thanks ladies..can't really believe it as had no intention of testing just wanted to get rid of the tests so I wouldn't obsess about testing,p!

Maybe your typo is a good omen lyndsey fx

sos welcome and may your BFP be on its way x

memphis83 Thu 24-Jan-13 23:24:51

Congrats on the bfp's. Past 2 nights I have felt seasick almost, the slightest movement and I want to be sick also when ever I bend down I wat to be sick. I do this every month picking up on every tiny feeling.

Sonics Fri 25-Jan-13 08:40:07

I tested again. What the hell is wrong with me!! I need help. Needless to say it was a bfn but if I didn't ov until cd17 its probably still a bit early. Going to try and hold out until Sunday now.

How are we all today? Anyone going slowly insane like me?

GettingObsessive Fri 25-Jan-13 11:07:07

Me - And I also tested again this morning.

Boobs now so sore that I am wearing a sports bra and had to take two ibuprofen this morning. Have the day off to spend it painting the hall stairs and landing in my freezing cold house

AND the bacon that I was going to finish in a lovely mid morning bacon and egg bagel had gone green

angry sad

Sonics Fri 25-Jan-13 11:53:17

Ooh that's sounds promising (the boobs not the bacon wink)

My boobs don't hurt at all but then they didn't at the beginning with my last pregnancy.

It's really weird because I feel like I know I'm pregnant this month. It feels different to other months where I've convinced myself based on hope and nothing else. I just need that bpf to confirm.

twentythirteen Fri 25-Jan-13 12:57:00

Agh, damn af! (I'm out)

Sonics Fri 25-Jan-13 13:03:33

Booooo confusedconfusedconfused Sorry to hear that twenty

twentythirteen Fri 25-Jan-13 13:47:24

Thanks, I'm grateful for small things, now at least I get started in next cycle early! Good luck everyone!

SeriousStuff Fri 25-Jan-13 14:28:09

Sonics and GettingObsessive OMG, me too! Was trying to wait til Monday but tested first thing. BFN.

I've run out of tests now, which is a good thing. Won't go into town til next week. Breasts a bit sore and I'm extremely bloated today. But could all be signs of impending AF...

Sonics Fri 25-Jan-13 14:53:35

Yeah I'm feeling bloated too which I don't normally get, and I'm starting to get cramps, which again I don't normally get until after AF has started.

Going to have to keep myself VERY busy this weekend!

lyndsey90 Fri 25-Jan-13 14:54:12

I'm out too twenty I want alcohol now! Lol

sambrads Fri 25-Jan-13 15:57:15

hello ladies do yas mind if i join?

I am not testing until 10th february so wont be testing for a few weeks.
congrats to all the ladies with BFP and to all the ladies with BFN keep ur chins up and focus on ur next cycle.
I had serious problems TTC DC2 and ended up having to get fertility treatment and it was the most disheartening experience always seeing those BFN so i know what ur going through.
Not sure if this is gonna be my month or not but fingers crossed.

I am 29 and TTC DC4

sambrads Fri 25-Jan-13 15:59:00

I am 28 silly laptop lol confused

farmersdaugther Fri 25-Jan-13 16:17:00

Hello hello {waves} everyone.

Yeah little brilliant news.

Boos for BFN, next month!

And welcome everyone. grin

I'm still waiting for AF to arrive. I wonder if I tested too early? I think i ovulated on the 12th and AF was due yesterday. What do you think, worth waiting a few more days before testing again?

And now it's snowing again!!!shock

sambrads Fri 25-Jan-13 16:23:13

farmer i would defo test now or even wait til the morning and use the first pee of the day as they say you get a better reading.

Without sounding a bit forward but how often is everyone having sex?
Is it even possible to have too much sex when ur TTC?

farmersdaugther Fri 25-Jan-13 16:43:40

Thanks Sam...mmm not sure about POAS as I don't want another BFN and frankly it's getting expensive gringrin

Glad you asked about sex.. I wanted to ask too.

Not enough I suspect....blush

Marrick Fri 25-Jan-13 16:59:30

Congratulations on the BFPs....hopefully there will be a few more before the end of this thread!

Glad this is an anonymous forum wink I don't think it's possible to have too much sex....but it does get kind of boring blush we begin on around day 8 and then every other day until after I get my smiley, with an extra one for luck the day after the smiley! smile

I have my appointment with the consultant on Tuesday so hopefully will get to the bottom of all these BFNs!

SeriousStuff Fri 25-Jan-13 17:02:26

sambrads Well...this cycle, DH and I DTD every other day from CD8 - CD28. I've read that every day can reduce the quality of the sperm (I think maybe giving DH a day off means he can 'ahem', replenish!

This is my first cycle of TTC so still unsure as to my ov patterns so gigured every other day would guarantee a continuous supply...TMI!

SeriousStuff Fri 25-Jan-13 17:03:41

...also I think every other day reduces the risk of it becoming a chore. However, if you're in the mood to do it more, then take advantage of it!

GettingObsessive Fri 25-Jan-13 17:16:35

Sounds like we need to start a quiche for obsessive symptom spotters

We are also on our first "proper" cycle and DH can't count got a bit carried away so we did the deed on days 7, 9, 10, 13,14 and 15. In fact it was twice on days 13 and 15 blush

It's fair to say that is much more than usual and we were both broken quiet tired by the end of it.

chewingguminmyhair Fri 25-Jan-13 18:12:27

I'm out ladies. Best of luck to the rest of you. smile

Sonics Fri 25-Jan-13 19:19:31

sambrads Fri 25-Jan-13 20:35:40

I am glad you ladies all feel comfortable enough to talk about baby making grin DP thinks its his birthday and christmas all rolled into 1 lol. we have been having alot of nookie basically nearly everyday from AF has finished. leen hello hope AF stays away

Livened Fri 25-Jan-13 20:41:28

Oh and referenc to DTD we were at it like bunnies of my fertile days, and not done it since! My DH is gutted it didn't last... ;-)

sambrads Fri 25-Jan-13 20:48:33

hi livened i posted before i seen ur post.
I would wait til ur AF is due as you might get a wrong result if too early.
It seems such a long wait i cant test til 10th feb sad

Livened Fri 25-Jan-13 21:06:12

Hi Sam - yes I know I should wait, and I will, but I'm just sooo impatient!!

It seems as if every person I know or see has a baby/is pregnant - or is it just me??

We were going to wait u til my DS was 2 to try again, but It just feels like the right time to start trying again. It would be too good to be true if we got a bfp first time again... But I live in hope!

Hoping for some good news from you all and fingers crossed for positives in the next few days for us all.

LeenHS Sat 26-Jan-13 08:29:00

Hello any news? Last night let myself get too excited as thought I could feel unusual twinges and maybe itchy boobs. But think I am over analysing it. This morning feel nothing other than dull ache of cramps (usual for me before AF) feeling a bit disheartened.

sambrads Sat 26-Jan-13 09:35:14

livened my DC3 is 6 months was gonna wait until she was 1 but ya just never know with trying how long it will take so feel ready to start now was lucky getting pregnant first month with her but like you say not sure if it will be so lucky this time round.
leen fingers crossed its pregnancy symptoms and not AF its awful how ya look out for every little thing but it is only expected.

farmersdaugther Sat 26-Jan-13 19:25:51

Evening All!

AF arrived today. hmm

Good luck everyone x

LeenHS Sat 26-Jan-13 19:53:52

Farmers daughter so sorry. V disappointing. Hope february will be your lucky month! X

Livened Sat 26-Jan-13 20:07:13

Hard luck Farmers - my DH talked me out of testing today with a first response test (says up to 6 days before af due!?!). But I've promised to wait until Wednesday...back to googling early pregnancy signs and due date calculators! X

farmersdaugther Sat 26-Jan-13 20:43:32

Thank you, yes very disappointed hmm but that's just how it goes. Had a good cry this morning about it all. Struggling with morale at the moment. Feeling quite down, but saw loads of friends this afternoon this that was lovely.

Next month!!!

GettingObsessive Sat 26-Jan-13 21:07:03

Eugh. Having tested on Friday and got a BFN I got myself into the mindset that I clearly wasn't pg and that we'd just try again next month. Now the nausea has returned and I keep getting hopeful.

It just feels really unfair that I am obviously having much worse PMT symptoms than usual, this month of all months.

I'm just getting cross now angry

LeenHS Sun 27-Jan-13 09:23:52

So know what you mean. Hiw early did you test getting ob? When is af due?

Since we started trying my pms symptons seem to have started earlier before AF and been more of them.. Cramps, sore boobs. It's so confusing and gets me excited only to be disappointed. AF due tomorrow. I think the only sympton that's different is a sore throat that comes and go's. I keep thinking I'm getting a cold but never do. Anyway as ever, stressing about arrival of AF. 9 months ttc sounds so much better than 10.

sambrads Sun 27-Jan-13 10:03:54

farmer sending u big hugs hope ur ok and hopefully next month is ur month.
geetingobsessive maybe you tested too early hold off and test in a few days.
leen im also having sore boobs and some cramping way before my AF so dont know what to think. maybe its ovulation symptoms cause my fertle days were from 21st til 26th and today i dont feel as bad. i really wis i knew what was happening with my body sad
i am trying for my 4th child and you go through the same emotions as ur first. sad

BlablaSos Sun 27-Jan-13 19:26:51

Hi all
Tested today and it was a BFP!! I was actually 5 days late for AF but I really felt like she was coming, and I was poorly, so didn't rush out to get a test, also it was costing me too much money being impatient!
Good luck to everyone still to test, and for everyone else next month.

Iheartcrunchiebars Sun 27-Jan-13 19:33:34

Congratulations xxxx

SeriousStuff Sun 27-Jan-13 21:40:00

BlablaSos that's amazing news. You must be over the moon! Congratulations!

I'm having a very low mood day today, breaking out in tears and keep overheating every hour or so. To the point where I have to take my top off! DH found my in the living room earlier wearing just leggings! FX-d this isn't AF. She is due anytime from tomorrow.

GettingObsessive Wed 30-Jan-13 21:46:16

Eugh again. AF one day late (I am NEVER late) and feel like crap. All the AF symptoms but nothing yet. I POAS yesterday and BFN.

Just fed up because if its not this month I just want to move on and think about next month instead.

Livened Thu 07-Feb-13 13:50:17

Hi not sure if anyone is still following this thread but I have to share with someone I to a Bfp this morning! Good luck to everyone trying for a feb bfp xxx
