polkadotsrock Sun 06-Jan-13 14:33:10

qazxc Sun 06-Jan-13 16:28:27

fx for you polka dots. when in doubt DTD.

blondebaby111 Sun 06-Jan-13 17:15:19

Can I join you?? My cycle this month is a little bit haywire after my failed ivf and I think I ov really really early this month so my 2ww could poss be a 3ww but we will all hold hands together.I've had so many 2ww I've lost count ;)

polkadotsrock Sun 06-Jan-13 19:50:48

Oh we are, possibly more this month than in the last 4 combined blush
Oh blonde I hope this is your very last 2ww

Cacks81 Sun 06-Jan-13 19:54:38

Can I join? Been through 9 2WWs! Had enough! Currently 1wk into 2WW. FX for all.

lalexander Sun 06-Jan-13 20:48:09

may I please join your party/2ww,

af is due 16th, my 3rd weedin anniversary, fingers crossed, would be a great present.

I've lost count of number of cycles.........14 maybe!!!!!

Stephy30 Sun 06-Jan-13 20:54:17

Can i join im due af 20th Jan. How long have you all been ttc xx

MrsSpencerReid Sun 06-Jan-13 21:03:26

Good luck everyone smile I'm due AF/BFP 19th but I'm not sure if I ovulated thus month and OH has been having some performance anxiety so I'm betting on AF arriving hmm

Stephy30 Sun 06-Jan-13 21:12:27

good luck all also, be nice to see some BFP xx

Elektra83 Sun 06-Jan-13 21:16:44

Can I join too please? ERTD is due around 17th Jan, it's going to be my first proper period as only came off of the pill on 17th December, doubt there will be a BFP and part of me really hopes it isn't (bad diet, lots of booze!) but would be ecstatic if it was to happen!

Good luck to you all! x

qazxc Mon 07-Jan-13 14:10:11

we have been trying for a year this month and i've had 2 miscarriages. so hoping for 3rd time lucky. I'm already itching to poas even though it is way too early. anybody got any symptoms, when are you planning to poas?

lalexander Wed 09-Jan-13 20:37:35

Hey ladies,

How has week 1 of 2ww been?? I feel this week is dragging, if I can get to friday then I think time will pass better.

AF is due next wed, I am going to hold out and not test until at least wed, what is everyone elses plan??

Fingers crossed,

L x

babyrose Wed 09-Jan-13 21:09:08

Can I also join? Lalexander we are on the same af time scale! Do u have any symptoms yet?

Stephy30 Wed 09-Jan-13 21:12:51

Its well dragging this 2 ww another 11 days yet :-( x

Elektra83 Wed 09-Jan-13 21:29:38

Hi all, I have been symptom spotting for a while now! I have had the nausea/queasy feeling, boobs feel heavier which only happens a few days before I am due on, not a week or so before! (tmi alert) discovered this morning that my pee smells...

Not due on til either the 17th or 20th, so will have to wait til the following week and see what happens!

blondebaby111 Wed 09-Jan-13 21:52:58

I've noticed about me pee too, wasn't sure if it was just my imagination but it smells strong and sweet. Hope this is a good sign. I hoope its my last 2ww too, we have been ttc for 5 years but this month I've decided to take a low dose aspirin and see what happens x

lalexander Wed 09-Jan-13 22:03:36

what is the low dose of asprin meant to do??

polkadotsrock Thu 10-Jan-13 09:41:00

Well I think I am 3dpo now but got no symptoms with ds so not expecting any this time. Just a boring week and a half in front of me! I shall enjoy reading about everyone else's though!

Stephy30 Fri 11-Jan-13 23:18:12

Hows everyone getting on with there 2 ww ? Anyone got any symptoms yet ? Xx

Littlebearlost Sat 12-Jan-13 00:21:05

I will join you, about 10 days left to wait.
Not hopeful though, looking likely that I've been left with fertility problems following a post infection c section with my first dc sad
I wish I could find out the day after trying whether or not it had worked. I find the two week wait endless!

Stephy30 Sat 12-Jan-13 11:10:05

Yes I feel the same about the 2 ww little bear. Ive no symptoms to date but still got 8 days to go yet. I so want to test early but will wait and be good lol x

qazxc Sat 12-Jan-13 12:52:12

week one over. Have only poas twice (i have a huge addiction i am trying to curb, so i got a bundle of cheap ones on the internet). unsurprisingly they came back negative. I don't have any symptoms (and am a frantic symptom spotter) and have been getting zits, which is generally first sign that af is on the way. Having said that, i'm usually convinced i am pregnant so maybe I'm wrong?

qazxc Sat 12-Jan-13 12:56:26

maybe me and dp should try the jeremy kyle way (they seem to reproduce like rabbits).Don our finest primark tracksuit and fuggs and just get absolutely off our faces and do it in the local park. i know that for it to be authentic i would also have to sleep with his brother and /or best mate, but i'll skip that step.

GuffSmuggler Sat 12-Jan-13 14:17:44

Urgh, can I join? I have been very relaxed about TTC no. 2 since Sept, but have suddenly gone a bit neurotic!!

I don't know when I ovulated but the calendar thingy says I was fertile between 1 - 5 Jan. AF is due next Friday (18th), do you think I should wait until then to test?

setayharas Sat 12-Jan-13 18:43:11

2ww here I come, can I join?
Finally after the longest month ever got a positive opk today so as of tomorrow I'll b in the 2ww aswell.

Qazxc let us no how the chavtastic approach works! Im willing to give that ago oh brother isn't too bad either really

Cacks81 Sat 12-Jan-13 19:57:15

lalexander and babyrose we are all on the same cycle. Due Wed. How's it going? Trying not to symptom spot, so I feel no different today. (Apart from crying quite a lot when DH told off our dog today! Think I was tired )

Good luck all! Hoping for lots of BFPs from this group! X

lalexander Sun 13-Jan-13 11:03:53

I think AF has just started!!!! (3 days early, whats with that)

If this is it, then back on clomid tomorrow, and abck to square 1.

totally gutted, but fingers crossed for everyone else,

L x

Littlebearlost Sun 13-Jan-13 13:43:48

sad lalexander

I went for acupuncture yesterday, I had it when I conceived my first dc. I'm not sure it helps but it can't harm (apart from it costs £40 a go). I conceived my first dc on the first cycle of trying so appreciate I was lucky but finding it very disheartening this time around.
I think Im due a week on Monday but I already know I'm not pregnant, in the same way I knew I was when I had my ds. I just felt within a day or so that I as pregnant, I was so certain.
I am having more acupuncture next month before ovulation to see if that makes any difference and am due a scan to see if there is scar tissue caused by infection from the c section I had with ds. I suspect there will be as I now have a lot of pain around ovulation which I didn't experience previously.

SeriousStuff Sun 13-Jan-13 14:35:02

lalexander if it's early, is there any chance it's implantation bleeding?

Can I join? I'm on my first cycle TTC1 and my 2ww starts today, and the last fortnight has already dragged! Whether I get a BFP is anyone's guess. Have had a few symptoms e.g. dizziness, migraine, metallic taste and we're managing to DTD every other day; but also haven't seen any EWCM yet this month.

FX for you all!

qazxc Sun 13-Jan-13 16:54:28

sorry to hear that lalexander

Official testing day is next monday. Still no symptoms (not that this stops me from POAS almost daily).

Cacks81 Mon 14-Jan-13 22:10:20

Hi Ladies,

I think I might have had my BFP?!? AF isn't due until Wednesday, but I had a 'feeling' and went and got tests. Haven't taken one test the whole 9 months we've been trying. Took one this afternoon, BFP. We've since gone and bought more and another one, different brand is also a BFP!

Now, trying to not get too excited (DH leapt out of the bath when I showed him!) and will be POAS several more times, but is a BFP accurate? No way 2 could be wrong could they? Trying to keep level headed here.

I hope I don't come across as gloating, it's just we haven't told anyone and I wanted to tell someone! Waiting until we are sure before we see the parents.

setayharas Mon 14-Jan-13 22:20:18

cacks I'd say that's a bfp!! Yay!!!! Brilliant news

Now send some of your baby dust this way!

Cacks81 Mon 14-Jan-13 22:25:18

Baby dust being chucked and scattered your way.

We've calculated that it was the one night we'd drunk alcohol in 4 months! Currently nick naming it '3 pints!'

SeriousStuff Tue 15-Jan-13 00:18:03

Cacks81 that's great news!! So many of my friends have had the same experience of conceiving when they've had a bit to drink!

I'm just starting my 2ww so hoping that this is a good sign of things to come!

Cacks81 Tue 15-Jan-13 18:47:30

Thanks SeriousStuff.

I'm really hoping for the best for everyone.

2cats222 Wed 16-Jan-13 06:30:59

Looking to join ladies... Currently 11dpo AF due on 19th so 3 days left to wait. Can't POAS as on honeymoon and don't have any confused Have a bloated/hard abdomen and maybe a tiny amount of stretchy like pains this morn (which could also have been my imagination)! FX for everyone playing the waiting game

qazxc Thu 17-Jan-13 12:07:57

cacks81 So delighted for you.
AF came today so i'm out for this month sad. maybe it is time to put my chavtastic plan into action, heads off to pick up two litre bottle of cider, alcopops, fags, hoop earrings, tracksuit, fake uggs and orange make up

herethereandeverywhere Thu 17-Jan-13 17:09:20

Hello, wondering if I can join? I'm not really officially on a 2ww in that we're not really officially ttc but I feel the need to share/ask opinions and didn't want a thread of my own! I already have 2 DDs, 3.2yrs and 10mths. DD1 took about 18mth to conceive and DD2 about 6 months so all of you who have been at it a while you have my sympathy. It's so hard not to get down every month there's a BFN.

Well, we'd sort of decided we'd like #3 at some point but haven't officially started TTC. We have DTD this month only once when I thought I might be ov though (never occurred I might get pg as conceiving the other 2 has been a palava of opks/timing/Deanna plan for multiple months. Anyway, I have a feeling i might be pg. Symptoms include: unusual pain in CS, nausea on and off, funny taste in mouth I keep thinking is blood (metallic?), tiredness, boobs hurting in a blocked duct way. I think I ovd a bit early this month so I could be about 15-16dpo and no af BUT I'm guessing ov so on usual cycle length af not due until Sunday.

I haven't got a pg test in the house so won't be able to get one until tomorrow and if I need fmu then won't test until Sat!!!

Sorry that's so long not even sure why I'm posting this blush Good luck to the other TTCers on this thread!

babyrose Thu 17-Jan-13 17:21:31

Got a bfn, af due today but hasn't started. Had cramps last nite and in my back so I thougt I would have started today fx it doesn't show!!

SeriousStuff Thu 17-Jan-13 22:23:35

babyrose hang on in there - it's not over til AF arrives!

I still have 10 days before AF and over last 3 days, I'm very aware of my breasts - they seem swollen but not sore. Also today have had clear CM (not stretchy) and AF-type pains e.g. dull pain in lower back and cramps that don't last very long at all. Any ideas?!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful Thu 17-Jan-13 23:50:27

Hi can I join in?

Sorry about af qazxc and huge congrats crack81

I am 11dpo and have been driving myself mad symptom spotting all week. I have been feeling nauseous but I have one of those annoying minds that makes up symptoms. This is kind of cycle 1, we were trying last year but had a break after 3 chemical pregnancies.

Best of luck everyone.

2cats222 Fri 18-Jan-13 03:23:59

Final day before AF is due for me... The waiting is awful! Praying it stays away, am currently running to the loo every 15 mins to check! FX for everyone

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful Fri 18-Jan-13 07:24:56

2cats oh you poor thing. Can't believe your knicker checking at 3am. I am only 12dpo today but I usually get af on 13dpo. So have had a bit of a knicker check too.

Fx for both of us.

2cats222 Fri 18-Jan-13 08:37:26

Ha ha, I'm obsessive but not enough for a 3am check (yet)! Currently 6 hours ahead of Uk on honeymoon. Good luck, fingers crossed for you too

2cats222 Fri 18-Jan-13 09:11:53

TMI - some light brownish spotting when I wipe, looks like this is AF coming damnit

babyrose Fri 18-Jan-13 11:11:05

Af arrived this morning :-(

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful Fri 18-Jan-13 11:34:07

Sorry 2cats and babyrose af is a bitch. Especially on your honeymoon.

No news here. I keep thinking that is a good sign but it doesn't actually mean anything other than af is due tomorrow. I will learn patience one day.

2cats222 Fri 18-Jan-13 12:15:16

Have had nothing since, back to watery CM. May still be in with a chance (tho doubt it!). Regards AF on honeymoon, I head home on Mon so will only be a couple of days... Could have been MUCH worse until my cycles decided to become a longer 35 days (potentially due to wedding stress)... At one point expected to come on on wedding day! Anyway here's to having no patience, FX for us all still waiting heads off to check knickers again

2cats222 Fri 18-Jan-13 12:17:08

Babyrose - sorry for the f*%>|# b&q"/ turning up. Sure you don't feel it now but the bright side... You're on CD1 of a bright shiny new cycle with the possibility of a huge BFP at the end of it! Good luck!

modernvickyp Fri 18-Jan-13 12:18:41

Can I join? Would like to inform the world of official hacked-offness with knicker checking!

Ov'd around 31st December (didn't use sticks but have a very good idea after being at this a long time) and due to Christmas Holidays was actually able to DTD 3 times.

AF due Tue/Weds this week and as of half an hour ago no sign of AF. I am very regular within a day or so and am now slowly going out of my mind.

However, have peed on three sticks and go BFN each time. How the hell am I going to get through the weekend before testing again?! Have been having AF type pains on and off since Tuesday but no other symptoms. Bugger and damnation.

modernvickyp Fri 18-Jan-13 12:21:45

Babyrose - sorry that she got you today. I always spend this day looking at different ovulation calendars and lettimg OH know when he should be 'prepared'. He loves that not.

2cats222 Fri 18-Jan-13 12:29:40

ModernVicky - sensible advice is to wait 48 hours and PoAS but certain you know that! So I say just keep peeing, it's what ICs were made for! If it was me I would be peeing on at least 3 sticks a day! Appreciate this is terrible advice. FX for you tho, sounds promising - it's not over til the stupid witch cackles and all that! As for knicker checking - pah I just got more spotting so struggling to even convince myself I'm in with a chance. Plus hubby clearly now thinks I am up to something strange in the toilet and seems alarmed at the number of times I've headed in there today! Meh

modernvickyp Fri 18-Jan-13 12:46:59

2cats222 - Meh indeed. Currently eating anything I can get my hands on in an attempt to make myself feel better (it isn't working) and deciding whether I should be drinking alcohol this weekend. It will definately be noticed by friends if I don't - who know we are trying and will therefore put two and two together and come up with triplets!

Maybe I'll test again in the morning!! As you can probably tell from my eating habits willpower is not something that is within my posession.

I gather that spotting can mean all sorts of things so until she is there in full flo you are still in with a shout! Fx.

Just off to the kitchen for another snack and after that might treat myself to another trip to the toilet.

2cats222 Fri 18-Jan-13 13:25:21

ModernVicky - can you run with the antibiotics so not drinking excuse to buy you time? I think I'm out for this month - it's becoming more than spotting. Please keep me updated, will transfer my hoping onto you! At least now I can have a break from knicker checking, was starting to get worn out elastic from whipping them down so much wink

twentythirteen Fri 18-Jan-13 13:26:57

So are there ucrrent 2ww'ers? I'm 5 dpo. Last time I had clear signs by dpo 6 ish, each time was a different sign, but each unmistakable for its oddness. Who's symptom spotting now? Any hopefuls? I'll read back over the thread but have only just logged on.

SeriousStuff Fri 18-Jan-13 15:19:47

I'm a 2ww-er! No idea what my dpo is as have had what looked like EWCM on three separate (non-consecutive) days this month, today included! I have 10 days until AF is due. The wait is killing me and I'm now at the stage where I think anything happening in my body is a symptom!

MrsSpencerReid Fri 18-Jan-13 17:10:32

AF due tomorrow (bites nails) I really don't think I'm preg but untill she arrives I'm desperately hoping!! hmm to those of you she had already got

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful Fri 18-Jan-13 17:53:36

Sorry the spottings got worse 2cats.

modern you could tell people you are doing the dry January thing. They might still think you are pregnant though.

Well still no spotting from me (12dpo). I have a short lp so af is due tomorrow. Really hope she stays away. I have had symptoms during the 2ww, the nausea has gone away but am very tired. Trying not to read too much into it as my body seems to make up symptoms.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful Fri 18-Jan-13 18:04:10

mrsspencer ooh me too me too. Af is due tomorrow. Do you have any symptoms or spotting yet?

twentythirteen Fri 18-Jan-13 18:29:12

So glad there's a thread for the anxious symptom spotting! Good luck tomorrow Mrs and When. Cats, I've always wondered about saying "I have a bad hangover from a late one last night" as it implies the opposite of not drinking, you know "so and so came over with a bottle of baileys and we drank the whole thing, can you believe it". You can get away with the January cleanse just about but it expires soon. Either way, when you're not having a drink people are wondering so I now occassionally have a non alcoholic night with friends just so that I have cover for future pregnancies! Is that crazy? If I'm honest I'm losing the taste for alcohol anyway and an open bottle of wine can last in the house for a week (OH doesn't like it).

SS from me today is that I have had ovary twinges, so of course I think I've got an ectopic pg. And I just had an afternoon nap from being tired because, of course I'm pg, nothing at all to do with waking up too early.

The earliest I could test would be next wednesday, 10 dpo but my periods aren't exactly regular and I could normally expect af to come anytime from Wednesday to Sunday next week.

setayharas Fri 18-Jan-13 18:43:51

I'm tww! 4dpo at the mo, nothing to report on all boring here, iv had heartburn since Xmas I always get about a weeks worth of ov cramps. So nothing out the ordinary, I just want a big YOUR PREG sign.

Trying to decide if I can have a bath and a glass of wine tonight. Have this stupid feeling that if I have a glass and there is some kinda god dishing out the bfps he may decide I'm not worthy as I had a glass lol (am I mad)

Been trying to get dog to sit on my lap on the hope he might sense a impending pregnancy lol (I'm sure I read somewhere they just no)

I give it till Monday and I think I will have officially lost the plot

MrsSpencerReid Fri 18-Jan-13 20:40:17

When, I think I might have just had a bfp, no symptoms before but I feel sick now!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful Fri 18-Jan-13 21:03:28

mrs what do you mean you think you have just had a BFP and now you feel sick? Have you poas and got a BFP?

So excited

MrsSpencerReid Fri 18-Jan-13 21:06:28

I poas earlier and got a really faint line! I'm sure the nausea is all in my head, does that make more sense?!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful Fri 18-Jan-13 21:12:34

Yes that makes a lot of sense congratulations.

Not looking so good here cm has gone all pinky (it always does this the day before af).

Congrats again.

Soph80 Fri 18-Jan-13 21:42:26

Guff -yes! Lost count on the million and one pointless pregnancy tests I've taken!

I'm on the dreaded 2ww too (yet again) :-/

modernvickyp Sat 19-Jan-13 17:35:44

Mrs - congratulations! How very exciting.

Well we're still here - through massive sense of willpower have not POAS today. AF appears to still not to be in the house, still feels like she is on her way but have had cramps all week, bubles a bit sore today also. So, the wait goes on!

Have to admit that I did go to the pub and I did have a drink. But am definately staying in and on the wagon tonight. Bet beeping AD turns up tomorrow just to spite me!

Will toast with a diet coke the wicked witch stayiung away for one and all. Good luck ladies.

Littlebearlost Sat 19-Jan-13 17:42:51

I'm due wed but I already know I'm not pregnant. I will probably still test but really in my heart know it's a waste of money! With ds I knew after about a week that I was pregnant. I didn't really need to do the test I was so certain!
Congratulations mrs, sounds hopeful!

SeriousStuff Sat 19-Jan-13 18:57:20

MrsSpencerReid that sounds very positive! Congratulations!

modernvickyp I hear you! I've just had a small ale...trying to act "normal" in case AF does show up next week.

Had more EWCM yesterday, but today it's definitely creamy and I've had AF-style back pains all day but AF not due for at least another week. DH keeps telling me to stop thinking about it, but it's so difficult when these things are happening to your body, and if you're like me, aware of every twinge and possible symptom!

modernvickyp Sun 20-Jan-13 13:07:46

So, am still in the hunt this month. Have cramps again - have had them on and off since Tuesday so not sure what this means. Still pant checking everytime I go to the loo! But, WILL wait until tomorrow first thing to POAS!

Serious - have not idea how not to keep thinking about it - the possibility is so wanted and has so many repurcussions that it is not possible not to think about. I have the opposite problem where OH keeps saying 'do you think we've cracked it this month' and 'I think my little man is in there' - he is an engineer not a fecking doctor so how could he know! He fails to realise that I am trying so hard not to get my hopes up as they have been dashed so many times! Was in exactly this situation 18 months ago and think I had a chemical so trying hard not to get over excited.

Fingers crossed for all this month (or the very next). wanders off to the toilet to check pants and daydream about telling witch of a boss that she now has to factor my maternity leave in to her beeping business plan....must calm down

twentythirteen Sun 20-Jan-13 13:12:53

Congrats Mrs! Ooh, jealous here.

I was just googling about my weird ovary cramping that picked up for a few days and then went. Apparently the egg can be fertilised in the fallopian tubes and then spends two or three days travelling out. If I'm wrong about my dates, i.e. if I didn't ovulate immediately after the positive opk then it would make sense time wise. I actually don't think I'm going to be crushed if AF comes this month as it's the first ttc post mc and I keep having to look at my diary just to remember what cd/dpo I am. And I do love a bit of attention seeking snow! Ooh, and it's marmalade making season...

How do you know you're not pg "little"?

MrsSpencerReid Sun 20-Jan-13 19:35:55

Little, I was sure I wasn't, mainly due to a lack of DTD! but a digi test spelt it out for me grin you never know, fingers crossed for everyone

modernvickyp Mon 21-Jan-13 13:14:20

FFS - 6 days late, tummy cramps, no AF and BFN. Danmnit! Waited the three days (almost) and everything. Seriously cheesed off now.

What do I do now? Anyone had the same (with positive outcome preferably)?!!

lyndsey90 Mon 21-Jan-13 17:11:08

A friend of mine got her bfp 8 days after missed af modernvicky so fx!

My af due today, had no spotting or anything yet, tested yesterday morning as suddenly came down with head cold, thought it might be a sign of lowered immune system but got bfn.... Constant knicker checking all day keeping my OH updated via text haha!

modernvickyp Tue 22-Jan-13 13:53:24

Well, ladies, I am out.

Seven long days late she got me this morning. As you can imagine I am a tad disappointed and am allowing myself today to wallow in my own self-pity and the pointlessness of my existence. Wine and chocolate are on my to do list this evening.

Left now with questions as to how and why but none of them will bring me a BFP - was just beginning to disbelieve the tests!

However, tomorrow I plan to pick myself up, dust myself down and start all over again - again!

Still have everything crossed for those of you still in the hunt - hope not to see you here next month!

twentythirteen Wed 23-Jan-13 15:43:46

Sorry to read about the af attacks. I how out is better tomorrow. Afm I'm 10 dpo/cd24, and bfn so far. I'm not hopeful, af can turn up anytime from now until Sunday and I just feel certain it will.

CruCru Wed 23-Jan-13 16:33:07

I had a frozen embryo put in yesterday and have been told to test a fortnight today. I really hope this works, I'm on so many drugs it makes my head spin.

twentythirteen Thu 24-Jan-13 17:33:54

Wow CruCru, fx!

STILL nothing here. Anyone?

teafan Thu 24-Jan-13 19:36:13

Hi ladies, can I join you? I am 10dpo and driving myself nuts! Despite being pretty sure that DP and I can't actually conceive naturally and getting a BFP this month would make me 8 months gone on my wedding day; this month I have somehow turned into a madzer and made up all sorts of fake symptoms and made my brain believe them to be true blush

I don't think I have really done anything at work this week and at 5am I was laying in bed composing the email I would send round at work announcing I was pg.

Am crackers for doing this to myself but you all know what I mean when I say I just want this so bad!

twentythirteen Thu 24-Jan-13 21:27:45

Aw, teafan! We're all a little crazy, fingers crossed!

Can I join too please?
Been trying for a year now. AF arrived today, 2 days late. sad Was convinced we had got it right this month and was knicker checking since Monday only to be disappointed again. To this end, have just purchased preseed and ovulation sticks on internet so I can properly check if ovulating. Have 2 DCs but took 3yrs to conceive DC2 (2 MCs and thyroid problems). Can't wait that long again!
