Hi all, this is my first month TTC after waiting to TTC for 14 months so I am very excited ( and a lil scared). I am 26 and this will b r first baby. So if anyone else is in the same situation, come and join me and we can get excited together! (grin)

setayharas Thu 03-Jan-13 14:38:21

i keep thinking that next xmas we should fingers crossed have our lil bundle here and cant wait!

whens your testing date?
fx for you

bluefreckles Thu 03-Jan-13 14:46:27

Hello sunshine. I'll join you. I have been off the pill since end of October. I was on it since I was 16 and I'm now 29.
Last month I was convinced I was pg without really trying - had loads of symptoms but then AF turned up on the 1st Dec - albeit strangely only 2 days worth.
I am now 3 days late for my AF. I tested this morning and got a BFN sad
However I have heard it can take a couple of weeks for the hormones to show up for some women so I will retest in a week or two if AF still doesn't rear her ugly head.
What stage are you at? smile

Sunshine2013Hopefully Thu 03-Jan-13 15:06:22

Hey satay and freckles, so happy to hav TTC buddies!! (grin)

I'm on CD6 at the mo and af is still lurking so haven't actually got started yet! Lol

freckles I will say that when I came off the pill last year in prep it took about 10/11months for my cycles to go back to 'normal'. Hope that helps keep u a bit saner while waiting on af. Altho just bcuz ur cycle is messed up doesn't mean u can't conceive during that time, so fx for you! Xx

setay I hav been thinking that way for a year, everything I try to make plans for 2013 I always think I shud b with child by then! Lol it's mental I know! Lol
I should b testing around 31st jan hopefully, what about u girls?

setayharas Thu 03-Jan-13 15:27:35

ill be testing around 26th but knowing me ill be testing everyday from end of next week lol

started my healthy eating plan this month and making oh take pregnacare for men in the hope that this might make a difference

have u been browsing the baby clothes sections of supermarkets? we just keep ending up there i dunno how!

Sunshine2013Hopefully Thu 03-Jan-13 16:16:25

Yeah I have my poor dh on the same vitamins and won't let him take hot baths anymore! Lol

I haven't been browsing clothes cuz my husband won't let me yet! I'm totally jealous u get to do it! Lol i have been checking out nursery stuff online tho, but I keep telling myself that's practical research, not mental! Lol

I have been daydreaming about how I will tell my family tho and bothering my dh with constant baby name suggestions! Lol

Sunshine2013Hopefully Thu 03-Jan-13 16:20:29

Thot I'd start a list

sunshine cycle 1 bfp due 31st Jan
setayharas cycle 3 bfp due 26th Jan
bluefreckles cycle 2 bfp due ?

Is that right guys?

Bezza2508 Thu 03-Jan-13 17:19:38

Hi ladies. Can I join you please? I am also 26 and trying to conceive my first. I am on cycle 2 and my AF is due on 6 Jan. I stupidly did a test yesterday and of course it was a BFN! I was really disappointed as I know there was lots of DTD at the right time. Anyway, not holding out much hope for this month now but am finding the whole process really quite stressful so it will be good to talk to others in the same boat : )

bluefreckles Thu 03-Jan-13 17:40:55

Well I my AF was due 31st Dec...

SaraLou88 Thu 03-Jan-13 17:50:31

Im 24 and now looking to get pregnant. we decided for definite 14th Dec and I came off my pill then. I have only been on pill say 3 years properly so I am hoping it wont take long to get out my system! I was on cerazette for 3 months before I came off the pill and had no periods so I dont know when to expect my 1st one now Ive come off!

I hope to get pregnant soon so I am super excited and look at baby things online too lol x

Elektra83 Thu 03-Jan-13 17:50:37

Hello hello, may I join too? Took my last pill on 17th December, I think AF is due on the 17 or thereabouts...

Bluefreckles have you tested yet? Been tempted to?

bluefreckles Thu 03-Jan-13 18:11:04

I tested this morning but got a negative. Still no sign of AF. Will retest in a week or so if AF does not rear her ugly head prior.
I really hope I am pg but don't want to get hopes up for me or my DP. Weirdly bar peeing A LOT and being vacant/tired plus a tiny bit of cramping and bloated feeling, I am having no pg or AF symptoms at all...

Elektra83 Thu 03-Jan-13 18:19:03

That is odd! Fingers firmly crossed for you smile

I have a feeling the closer I get to my AF date the more I will symptom spot!

littlem33p Thu 03-Jan-13 20:49:25

Hi ladies,

Can I join this thread. This is my first month ttc and an due AF on Jan 11.

Am 29 and came of pill in sept. waited until dec for cycle to get back to normal.

Feeling a bit crampy today which I know can be an early sign but could be something else so fingers crossed. Not going to do POAS test until miss af though.

Fingers crossed for you all.

HonniBee Thu 03-Jan-13 21:01:03

Can I join too?
I'm 30 and we're on cycle 2 of TTC. This is the first month we're taking seriously, so I'm v v excited. smile bfp due 23 Jan. I've got an ov kit for the first time- going to start testing on Sunday. grin

aj86 Thu 03-Jan-13 22:12:46

Hi, can I join?

I came off my pill in the middle of December and I think I just Ov'd, so my AF is possibly due around the 16th Jan. Was on the pill for 10 years though so have no idea what my cycle is, I've just been trying to spot the ovulation symptoms! Trying to be relaxed about it all and just see how it goes, but I'm seriously considering buying a thermometer to start charting...

Sharpelo Thu 03-Jan-13 23:31:10

Hi can I join your group please. I'm 30

1st cycle trying to conceive came off merina coil 28th nov.

Should be ovulating 6th so at it like bunnies at the mo!!

Good luck for lots of bfps for everyone.

setayharas Thu 03-Jan-13 23:33:07

Hey everyone! Just an update here my best mate just informed me she's got er bfp, she came off the pill last month. So iv spent the evening crying with jealousy. Time to get over it and be there for her.
But thought id share to let u no there is still hope!

Cd9 today Nearly my fertile week. Time to start dtd religiously tomorrow

BunnyTamer Fri 04-Jan-13 01:52:53

Hi everyone! I'm new to the site after Googling for threads for people going through similar things. I'm 26 and trying to conceive as of this month. I'm so excited and anxious! Constantly getting carried away thinking of names, imagining potential sprog's personality traits etc. Been charting my cycle for months on my phone anyway and I'm (+/- a day) 28 days every month. I'm relieved because I was confirmed via blood tests as having high testosterone and PCOS, so regular cycle is a godsend/fluke. Anyway, my AF is due 16th Jan and I'm already reading into the odd prickly feeling in my nipple and the weird feeling, not like a period cramp, but that I am aware of my uterus? Anyone else going stir crazy reading into 'symptoms'? I think I should take up intensive knitting again because sore fingers or not it might take my mind off TTC for milliseconds ;) Nice to meet all you ladies going through similar things!

Bezza2508 Fri 04-Jan-13 11:25:11

Hi BunnyTamer. I am definitely symptom spotting. I'm sat at my desk at work thinking about how sick I feel but I swear I am probably just imaginging it. My Af is due Sunday and have already had one BFN so am determined not to test again until at least Sunday (no matter how many phantom symptoms I have!!) It's difficult though when it's all you can think about!

bluefreckles Fri 04-Jan-13 11:38:37

Hello everyone. Bit of an update - still no AF for me or any symptoms to suggest she's on her way...
Was due on 31st and normally pretty regular. Did a first response pg test 6am to days ago and BFN.
Not sure how long I should wait to test again.
Keep wondering if my missed AF is due to bring pg (hopefully!) or just my body starting to be irregular after years of bring regular?? HELP!
How is everyone getting on? Anyone in the same boat as me - late but BFN? smile

Marymary2012 Fri 04-Jan-13 12:25:48

Hi everyone, can I join too first month ttc 12 th Dec coil removed peak on clearblue fertility monitor 23rd, looking at sticks I think Christmas Eve highest peak so ovulated Christmas Day so 10 dpo test everyday because I have no patients :-) all bfn

Symptoms although some maybe in my head!

Felt sick
Breasts larger
Higher closed cervix!

Getting slightly obsessed! But what I wanted to say was it took me a week after period due to get bfp with my son! This website gives the odds

Good luck everyone xxx

setayharas Fri 04-Jan-13 13:52:40

Oh blue keeping fingers crossed for you! Iv heard quite often of people not getting there bfp until quite a while after af was due.

Just wishing the month away now, I'm Imagining ovulation symptoms although I don't normally ov for another 7 days but my bodies convinced me it's sooner so now I'm panicking that I haven't dtd enough lol. There's always something else for me to worry about!

Here hoping this thread gets some bfps soon!

bluefreckles Fri 04-Jan-13 16:51:48

Just done another first response test and 3 mins in still looks like a BFN sad
What is going on? Still no sign of AF and felt pretty queasy driving home tonight...

bluefreckles Fri 04-Jan-13 17:02:56

10 mins in - still negative sad

sunnyday01 Fri 04-Jan-13 18:02:25

How frustrating bluefreckles!

I would like to join in to. We started last month but officially starting ths month in terms of making sure we concentrate on week of ov and. Few days before/after!

I'm 30 and dh is 33

setayharas Fri 04-Jan-13 18:14:56

Oh blue keep holding up! Whilst she doesn't show her ugly face your still in the game!

Oh is due home from work at ten, if I was to have a bath before we dtd would that hinder any efforts? I know men shouldn't have hot baths but dunno about whether I can or not? I love my baths lol

HonniBee Fri 04-Jan-13 19:09:45

How annoying blue! Will keep fingers crossed you get a bfp soon.

Sunny... We sound to be exactly in the same position except my OH is a few years older.

I'm on day 9 now, not sure when I ov so started dtd last night, just in case. wink Going to start using the test things tomorrow too.

BunnyTamer Fri 04-Jan-13 19:52:51

So are you all using these ovulation tests straight off the bat the first time you ttc? Are they shown to be effective? I'm new to this game!

sunnyday01 Fri 04-Jan-13 19:58:57

Honnibee - sounds like we are! My next ov is 14th jan

Bunny - I'm not using ov tests or charting yet - going to see how it goes for 6 months or so then will consider it!

setayharas Fri 04-Jan-13 19:59:50

Bunny, I started using them last month and got my positive a day later than I thought I would so helped me know roughly when I should b ovulating this month. Iv heard that you can easily miss a positive tho as you only hormone surfer for a short time. Dunno how true that is tho

Bezza2508 Fri 04-Jan-13 20:40:23

I'm using the ovulation tests too. My OH works shifts so it can sometimes be difficult to find time to DTD but at least I know we have to find time when I see a smiley face on the test result!

Blanketsandpillows Fri 04-Jan-13 20:42:22

Me too! Come off pill at end of November and had one withdrawal bleed but nothing since. I know my cycle is probably just not back to normal, but based on a 28 day cycle I am on day 37 so nine days overdue! Trying not to get my hopes up but it's difficult not to! Will text early next week.

BunnyTamer Sat 05-Jan-13 01:33:31

Thanks for sharing, they sound quite tricky and scientific so I'm going to leave it about six months too. I'm only working part time atm so dtd is fine. Think I'm a week past ovulation and I feel very bloated and keep getting prickly sensations in my nipples like a strange pins and needles. I'm scared of symptom spotting though, so will just tell myself this must be normal for me and to expect it next month.

Marymary2012 Sat 05-Jan-13 09:00:53

Did a test this morning and the faintest line appeared I am using the Internet cheap ones. So I did three more and no line!

I'm pulling my hair out!

littlem33p Sat 05-Jan-13 13:11:42

Got myAF this morning. Trying not to be too upset but had a bit of a cry. It is only our first month trying so trying to stay positive. Plus it's another month of saving towards more lovely baby clothes when the time comes.

AF was a week earlier than expected too (28 days rather than expected 35) so perpahs still not fully back to normal after coming off pill in Sept.

Here's hoping next month is more successful.

Bezza2508 Sat 05-Jan-13 14:29:49

I know how you feel littlem33p. My AF has arrived today too. I've also had a few tears! It's not fair that we get PMT when we are trying to be positive is it?!

MB1985 Sat 05-Jan-13 23:39:02

Just thought I would join in as in the same boat as littlem and Bezza. Got AF last night at work...beginning of a long shift and felt like crap all night. Came home this morning and had a good cry. Silly really as only first month TTC. Seem to see babys everywhere I look. FX it doesn't take us too long as dont want to go through this every month! Trying to see things the same as littlem to...just another month to save up for more time off when it happens (hopefully!) Im sure in a few days I'll be back to being super excited at the thought of us becoming parents :-)

HonniBee Sat 05-Jan-13 23:55:05

MaryMary: have you tried any more tests? Could you maybe get a fancy one to make sure?!

MB1985: I was just thinking today that it seems like babies and pregnant people are frickin everywhere!!! It's maddening! The waiting is the absolute worst...

bluefreckles Sun 06-Jan-13 08:47:42

Hello all

Well still no AF for me or any sign of it. Last night I was so tired I felt dizzy and confused. keep getting crampy type twinges in my stomach but to date have done two tests (3rd and 4th) and both BFN. sad

CrackerJackShack Sun 06-Jan-13 09:00:36

bluefreckles, just read this one, perhaps you should go to the doctor? It sure sounds like you're pregnant (to me anyway). A blood test will tell you for sure, and are more accurate than the POAS.

becomingmum33 Sun 06-Jan-13 11:09:48

Im part of the TTC club too. I'm 33 and this will be my first child. I came off the pill in June (after 15yrs on and off) and have only just got a regular cycle.

We haven't been using protection for the last 4months but now is when we start doing it 'properly'. We have both been taking pregnacare conception in preparation, my OH loves it, he says it's improved his hair (he's thinning, it now looks a lot thicker and shinier! We're also healthy eating, I've lost 12lbs since mid November as a result and im cutting down on alcohol and caffeine.

Fingers crossed it works for all of us

bluefreckles Sun 06-Jan-13 18:18:42

We've got a particularly busy week this week. Will see if AF or BFP show up this week and if not will go to Docs early week after...

BunnyTamer Sun 06-Jan-13 21:49:56

My AF isn't due until 17th and it's very unlike me to have cramps this premature of the date. Been going on for two days now, aching uterus. It's making me feel a bit down as I don't know what it is and can't do anything about it. sad

bluefreckles Mon 07-Jan-13 15:02:10

Still no AF everyone sad

LovesTheOutdoors Mon 07-Jan-13 23:12:32

Can I join too? 1st month properly trying for us, which feels a bit strange after a year of waiting! I came off the pill in late November, and had a 35 day cycle last month. Ne just past half way through this cycle assuming its 35 days again. Like BunnyTamer, I have also been having funny aching pains in my lower abdomen on and off for the last 3 days, not sure what to make of these, but secretly hoping they are a good sign, as I sure didn't have them when I was on the pill, or last month. Fingers crossed for all of you...hope the waiting goes quickly!

SeriousStuff Mon 07-Jan-13 23:20:44

Sorry if I've already joined this thread but have joined a couple over the last few days and can't remember which now!

31, TTC1 this month. Have DTD 3 times so averaging what NHS advises (every 2-3 days). Hard to not get ahead of myself and being quite realistic that this could take a while, but DH and I are enjoying the process so far!

Good luck all - looking forward to hearing about some BFPs in the next couple of weeks! smile

LovesTheOutdoors Tue 08-Jan-13 23:53:34

BunnyTamer, has the aching gone away yet?

Geckomum2 Wed 09-Jan-13 11:34:33

Hi all, so glad I found this site today, off work with a throat infection and using the time to do a bit of web research as husband and I are planning to start ttc this month. Am driving myself crazy though, there is so much info out there and so many people who are stressed out, now including me - am worried I won't enjoy the process at all! Most of my friends have babies already and all has gone so smoothly for them I am worried I will be the one who doesn't get so lucky! Sorry to be stressy but I can't be the only one?

Geckomum2 Wed 09-Jan-13 11:37:44

Ps - came off the pill 4th Dec, at end of pack so all normal, then got 2 days spotting 5th Jan, have no idea what that means! Is that normal?

Count me in! I am 26 and have 3 DS 5, 6 & 9. This is the first month TTC. My coil is being taken out tonight. All 3 DS were conceived in the first month so i am hoping and praying this time is no different. My ovulation day is around the 18th and AF is due to finish on 15th and next on is 5th feb. Any advice on when i can test from?

setayharas Wed 09-Jan-13 14:03:18

hows everyone getting on? anyone testing soon? im agessss away from testing time 18 days to be exact. i havent even ovulated yet and i wanna poas. gonna have to make do with opks still for a while

someone must have some good news?

aj86 Wed 09-Jan-13 15:50:08

Hi again, been away from the thread for a few days, here's an update:

I felt really weird and poorly on Friday and Saturday (headache, nausea, tiredness), but it didn't develop into anything, and yesterday had a very light and faint bleed which was over pretty much as soon as it started. But it got me wondering whether it was an implantation bleed! Yesterday was around 8 days after I reckon I ovulated so about the right time for implantation I think.

I've given up trying not to symptom spot, and I'm hardly thinking about anything else! I think my AF will be due some time next week but will try to resist testing until the end of the month if it doesn't turn up; I don't really know what my cycle is as it's my first month off the pill. Not sure I'm mentally prepared for a BFP as I really wasn't expecting it to happen straight away, my DH and I are terrified (but in an excited way smile)!

setayharas Wed 09-Jan-13 15:55:21

ohhh keep us updated aj86

need a bit of good enws and a bfp around here!
good luck in not testing i go a bit mental and have to test all the time!
just wishing ov would hurry up so i can get sympton spotting lol

Sunshine2013Hopefully Thu 10-Jan-13 11:36:17

Whoa this thread has reli taken off, it's brilliant! setay I'm the same as you, just waiting patiently or not so patiently for ovulation. I've been off the pill for over a year so my periods are all back to normal but this month has been weird. I've been having pains in my left ovary for the past 2 days but I'm still about 6/7 days away from ovulation! I normally have this pain closer to ov but not this far away! Anybody else get this?

blue any news? Do u know when u ovulated and how many dpo u are?

I once had a 66 day cycle and went to the docs and they told me they can't/won't do anything unil ur period has been missing for 6months!! shock

setayharas Thu 10-Jan-13 12:23:06

Heyy!! 2 days until surposed ov day for me! If only I could take tomorrow off sick in order to spend the day dtd lol don't think My manager would be happy with that!

Sunshine you don't think you could ov early do you? Are u checking your cycle in anyway?

I have had some odd pains but doctor told me last night it's all down to my pulled back that iv had for a few weeks nothing to do with my cycle.

setayharas Thu 10-Jan-13 12:24:50

And blue any sign of anything yet??

bluefreckles Thu 10-Jan-13 16:34:26

Hi. No, nothing. I'm 12 days late and have been testing (most recent this morning) but keep getting BFN sad
Hope I get one or the other soon.

MB1985 Thu 10-Jan-13 17:19:08

Hey Everyone,

Its all very exciting! Trying to get back to being positive after not getting BFP last week (silly to think it would happen straight away but was just hoping!) Also hoping to be moving into our first house in 2 weeks to so not much time to DTD this week due packing/painting/arguing with solicitor but will defo make time this weekend and after that and fingers crossed for next month! Have got no idea what my cycles will be like as only came off the pill in December so will just have to make sure we DTD loads until its back to being regular again.

Fingers crossed for you Blue I know I would be a mess if I were you. Sounds like you should try to see your GP as you have symptoms and no AF - and just keep POAS every few days in the meantime

Looking forward to hearing some good news soon from someone at least :-)

BunnyTamer Thu 10-Jan-13 19:55:57

Hi everyone! Been busy with work and driving lessons so haven't had a chance to call in. Uterus aches are on and off most of the time in waves. As of yesterday I've got this constant metallic taste in my mouth that is there even when I'm eating. It's weird and annoying, I know it's a symptom of early pregnancy but it's like my mouth, tongue and teeth are covered in foil! Google suggested it could be from taking folic acid so I'm going on that until i can test on the 17th. Hope you are all OK and keeping positive x

Youreallygotme Thu 10-Jan-13 20:18:40

Hi ladies, I'm in a similar situation too - first month ttc, finished my last pack of the pill on 27th December so not expecting anything soon but just stopping taking it every morning is pretty exciting. Still a bit ignorant about cycles and when I'm ovulating but am doing lots of reading! I'm 29 but DH is 40 and he's sooo broody! Looking forwards to reading about some BFP's soon!

LovesTheOutdoors Thu 10-Jan-13 23:15:05

Hi everyone! I will be 28 days into my cycle next Wednesday, and am fighting the urge not to buy a test this weekend...not sure how much willpower I have left! Anyone else getting excited about testing? Or just me being weird!

BunnyTamer Thu 10-Jan-13 23:42:28

You're not alone, I'm 100 different kinds of excited about testing!

setayharas Fri 11-Jan-13 08:01:07

Haha I love to poas last month I think I did everyday from 5dpo until af arrived, this month I will not poas until af is due yeah right

Sunshine2013Hopefully Sun 13-Jan-13 19:30:40

Oooooooooooohh exciting times ladies!! grin

Just entered into my ovulation week, don't think I ovulated until wed/thurs, but started dtd in earnest from Saturday incase it happens earlier!

I am so excited to POAS just like u lovestheoutdoors!! Did u test this weekend then?

Anyone else testing soon?

SETAY have u now entered the 2ww?

Mayb we shud get a new list going.

LovesTheOutdoors Sun 13-Jan-13 23:04:26

I managed to resist the urge to buy a test is weekend, and have been getting faint period pains this evening, even though I'm not due until Wednesday...sad times sad. Oh well, I suppose getting pregnant on the first month of trying would always take a very lucky person. Good luck to the rest of you!

secretlytrying Mon 14-Jan-13 13:10:19

Hi ladies, can I join please?

first month off the pill, and trying...

secretlytrying Mon 14-Jan-13 13:17:50

p.s. what does the abbreviation AF mean?! I'm new to all of this and just trying to make sense of it all!

setayharas Mon 14-Jan-13 15:33:02

yeah im in the 2ww as of tomorrow!ovulated quite late this month. but finally got a positive opk this morning. quite glad we hadnt given up dtd and managed it thursday. sunday morning and this morning after tomorrow not a lot left we can do.

setayharas Mon 14-Jan-13 18:36:00

blue how u doing? Are you getting any af/preg pains at all? Do you have any idea when u ovulated?

Well that's Monday over and done with and its nearly January's pay day and I might be able to get a life again after Xmas!

Pil have just booked the whole family including our dog a week in the lake district in 3 months just keep thinkin what a perfect time to tell them all we are pregnant -fantasising about telling them- so really this would be the perfect month!

Sunshine2013Hopefully Tue 15-Jan-13 11:40:34

setay that wud b so nice to tell them while u r all away together, hope u get ur wish!

outdoors I agree with setay ur not out until af shows up! Fx for you!

Welcome secretly hope ur stay here is short and sweet!
Well tmi alert but I had a lot of EWCM yesterday but a negative opk- so thinking (and hoping) that I ovulated yesterday and I just missed my surge cuz I didn't get a chance to test until last nite! Awell dtd last nite and I'm now hopefully 1dpo and entered into my first 2ww! Eeeeekkk grin
Altho if I'm wrong plz feel free to tell me! X

setayharas Tue 15-Jan-13 12:16:05

Yeah I normally get Ewcm about a day before I ovulate (I think to be honest I don't have a clue lol)
If that's the case tho sunshine we should be testing around the same day. Are u going to get another bd in today? I really have no urge to but think I should so all bases are covered.
Here's hoping these two weeks go quickly and the little swimmers are doing there job as we speak lol

My ultrasound referral came through today gonna try and put it off until after af so if it is bad news I get it after I no of we have been successful this month.

roofio87 Tue 15-Jan-13 12:23:48

hi everyone!! this is my first month trying, think I am due to O about now but hard to tell when cycles aren't very predictable yet after coming off pill!!
nice to hear from some ladies as excited as me at starting on this journey!! smile

setayharas Tue 15-Jan-13 12:28:55

Hey roofio( that name reminds of the film hook)
Pull up a pew make yourself comfortable!

Fingers crossed this new year is a Goodun for us all!

Dowk31 Tue 15-Jan-13 18:00:00

Hi can I join please smile I'm 28 ttc baby 1 it's all so exciting but there is so much info to take in! I ov on 3rd Jan so few more days til testing. Try to dtd every 2-3 days so think everything's going good so far! Only problem is I've not had AF for 12months and got my implant removed in Nov. Nothing has came yet but I use opk and they showed LH surge on 3rd, 4th and 5th so hoping that I'm going to either get AF of BFP in a few days time!

LovesTheOutdoors Tue 15-Jan-13 23:06:57

Gosh this waiting game makes time drag a bit doesn't it!
Haven't heard from blue in a while, hope all is ok with you?
sunshine I don't think we can have tmi on this post! It's great that you get a sign that you are ovulating, hope a baby is being made as we speak!
dowk it's nice to have you with us! You sound very in the know about what happens when - I think I'm a bit clueless about it all!

So who is planning on testing in the next week?

Sunshine2013Hopefully Wed 16-Jan-13 09:28:57

loves u made my stomach flip there, it's weird to think something is happening in there right now! Wish our wombs were rigged up like the big brother house so we cud see what's happening/ or not happening as the case may be!

I noticed from your earlier post loves that ur af or bfp (whispers incase I ginx it) is due today? Any sign/symptoms? When r u going to test?

I think myself and setay have only entered our 2ww so we have a while to go b4 testing unfortunately. Altho it seems dowks shud b testing soon?

Come on this thread needs some bfps!

aj86 Wed 16-Jan-13 10:01:39

Hi again, another update from me! After what seems like the longest 2 weeks ever I think my AF should be due this week (yesterday by my calculations but they could be wrong as I only came off the pill in December). I haven't had any AF symptoms, so I'm not sure if it's on the way or not! Been getting bouts of nausea from time to time, and it's pretty bad this morning (but no actual chucking up!). With the possible implantation bleed last week and a couple of days of feeling really crappy I keep thinking I should POAS but I think I'd rather see AF than a BFN, so I'm too scared!

How long do you think I should wait for AF to show up? I've got a couple of tests waiting in the bathroom cabinet...

Fx for everyone testing soon!

DawnOfTheDee Wed 16-Jan-13 10:31:16

Can I join please?

I have no idea about cycles and when i'm ovulating etc - I'm a complete novice at this!

I already have one DD who is 1 next week. She was unplanned so this is my first time actually trying to conceive.

I came off the pill just after christmas and haven't had an af yet.

roofio87 Wed 16-Jan-13 11:01:27

Ahh aj86 there's no way I could be waiting with tests in the cupboard!! Haha. it takes about 2 weeks from when u think u ovulated for it to show up on a test so if u did conceive u could Probs test now. but its not gonna do any harm to wait!!
fx its good news for you!!x

Sunshine2013Hopefully Wed 16-Jan-13 11:50:34

Aj86 I'd test now!
U have the patience of a saint if u could wait with tests in the house and those symptoms! wish I was as patient! Lol

Altho fmu is better, so maybe if u cud wait tomaro morning mite give u a more accurate result!

Fx for you!! Please keep us informed!

setayharas Wed 16-Jan-13 12:37:37

aj86 test in the morning! how have u managed to hold off all this time! im already trying to decide when itll be safe for me to test haha

got my ultrasound thursday see if any cysts have re appeared or anything else down there. quite nervous thatll ill get some horific news or itll in someway disrupt any implantation that may otherwise occur.(ill worry about anything lol)

pleaseeeeee keep us updated aj

and welcome dee have a brew

aj86 Wed 16-Jan-13 15:17:52

I think I might take the plunge tomorrow morning with fmu. Is it weird to be terrified of a BFN? I just know I'll be totally gutted now I've had all these signs sad

Good luck for your ultrasound setay

Dowk31 Wed 16-Jan-13 16:52:06

2 more days to wait smile smile smile I think I'm getting far too excited now so the days are dragging in. Anyone else testing this weekend? Tbh I have learnt everything from this website it's been a godsend! And sometimes I google to back it up. One thing that seems to conflict is how long sperm can live once inside - read 3 days, then somewhere else it says 7 days? Anyone got the answer lol x

Meemawandmoonpie Wed 16-Jan-13 17:16:19

Evening all.
Can I join in? First month TTC after being on the evil pill for 15 years. No signs of AF or PG yet, just brushing up on everything, as have no idea what my cycle is etc!
But FX for all of you xx

homebyninethirty Wed 16-Jan-13 18:33:02

Hey guys, can I join too? I came off the pill in December and will be starting TTC really soon...just wanting to wait and see if I get a period in the next few weeks so I can figure out my cycles again. I'm 26, and this will be our first super excited because we've been talking about it for nearly a year now and it's finally here! smile
I think my OH will be pretty happy that I've finally joined this forum so I can get a regular "baby conversation" fix, rather than storing it all up for when he gets home each night...won't stop me regularly ambushing him and demanding to know what he thinks of this name or that Moses basket though smile.
Fingers crossed for everyone! xx

roofio87 Wed 16-Jan-13 18:37:09

Haha homebyninethirty my bf is the same. I wanna keep it from my friends till I get good news but I love talking about it!! so exciting when you've decided to take this step!!
this first month is so exciting, but trying not to get into too much of a frenzy and be patient!! grin

setayharas Wed 16-Jan-13 18:42:26

lol my bf is worse than me, he told everyone we knew that after xmas we would officially be trying so everyone in the whole of essex is aware that we are at it like rabbits. i went home on my lunch break today to get one last shot in before the old eggy dies and as i came bck a colleague said enjoy that did u u dirty cow and everyone giggled safe to say i have no secrets lol and i quite like it as everyone knows why i get upset and why i believe i am having every ache and pain under the sun every month.

i couldn't do without the tmi conversations on here tho. i think showing bf my cm this month nearly pushed him over the edge lol

roofio87 Wed 16-Jan-13 18:56:46

setay haha yeah I think that might be going a bit far!! love that everyone in your work knows! I can't wait to unexpectadly spring it on people when i am pregnant!! I've had to over share with the bf cos he doesn't have a clue, sometimes i think he thinks that people just get pregnant by magic!! x

setayharas Wed 16-Jan-13 19:02:08

poor bf's not their fault aye. to be honest until i started ttc i was sure all i have to do was dtd once anytime of the month just make sure we didnt use protection and low and behold id have a baby. my school sex education was rubbish -or i was too busy laughing at the banana with the condom on-

yeah my family dont know, and their the people i would like to spring it on, have u been day dreamin of the different ways inwhich you could tell them?

roofio87 Wed 16-Jan-13 19:11:12

Yeah it's sad isn't it but I cant stop thinking about being able to tell people that we're expecting!! Yeah I know, the more I like into it the more i'm like "how do people get pregnant by accident?" haha, seems so unlikely!! But its all justa good excuse to do it lots and lots, the bf can't complain about that!!x

DawnOfTheDee Thu 17-Jan-13 09:38:35

Just been thinking about another positive of ttc. Has anyone else found how much better they feel not being on the pill? I feel much 'brighter', have lost a few pounds and seem to have some libido appearing!

Meemawandmoonpie Thu 17-Jan-13 14:03:51

Ive noticed I've not needed a mid day nap now that I've come off it. It's marvellous. (though, cause its so bleedin' cold hibernation for an hour or so is an attractive thought)
sneaks off to get snuggie

I have also noticed my hair has got thicker, which is a nightmare as its already thatch-worthy

I'm hoping my libido will reappear too!

roofio87 Thu 17-Jan-13 14:16:53

yes my libido has defo come back!! I had the implant in for 3 years. I got really ill around the same time so just put my lack of sex drive down to that, but since I've been implant free I've been well more in the mood for it!! wink I also think the fact that we're trying to conceive is making me want to do it more too!!

Dowk31 Thu 17-Jan-13 17:20:33

Oh well I didn't get to test ladies sad god dam AF! Fingers crossed for everyone else who's on their 2ww xx

DawnOfTheDee Thu 17-Jan-13 18:36:49

Sorry to be thick but what does ww mean?

bluefreckles Thu 17-Jan-13 18:37:27

week wait smile

DawnOfTheDee Thu 17-Jan-13 18:38:45

Thank you!

LovesTheOutdoors Thu 17-Jan-13 18:48:04

aj86 did you get to test yesterday, or are you holding out for the weekend?

I was 28 days into my cycle yesterday, but AF didn't actually show up until day 35 last month, which I put down to only coming off the pill in November. Had a rubbish day at work today, very annoyed with most of my colleagues! Sure sign that AF is on her way I think! Might wait til next Wednesday and test then if it hasn't arrived.

One of my friends got pregnant accidentally last ear, she said she only missed 2 pills and only DTD twice that month, and still managed to make a baby, it's amazing how easy it is sometimes isn't it!

aj86 Thu 17-Jan-13 19:34:16

Hi all, just did a test and BFN hmm

But still no sign of AF so if that doesn't show up soon I'll test again next week with fmu.

At least I've got over my fear of POAS!

I know what you mean about how it suddenly becomes difficult once you're ttc, when I've been on the pill for ten years and was always told how one missed pill could result in an unplanned pregnancy!

hoping2beamum Fri 18-Jan-13 11:00:40

Hi all <waves> Would love to join you all on this journey if you'll have me! smile

DH and I are trying for our first at the moment, im currently cd13 so due to ov tmrw or Sunday. We are following the SMEP plan...anyone else using this method? also using the cbfm and preseed to give those swimmers all the help they need!

Will keep my fingers x'd for all your BFP's soon....its a nervous and exciting time!

setayharas Fri 18-Jan-13 11:59:18

Hey welcome hoping I haven't done the smepthis month as fell asleep before oh got home on the third day after positive opk but will be bck on itnext month! Aswell as having bought a Cbm yesterday.

I have been using pressed as iv heard some good stuff about it.
I'm 4dpo at the moment and slowly going more mental unno how I'll survive the 2ww this month

Fx for you anyway and welcome again

setayharas Fri 18-Jan-13 12:00:28

secretlytrying Fri 18-Jan-13 12:02:08

definately feeling better not being on the pill!

hoping2beamum Fri 18-Jan-13 13:40:01

Hi Setay thanks for the welcome!

the cbfm is brilliant, hope you find it useful too if you need to use it next month but will keep my fingers x'd for you this month!! the 2ww is a very long 2 weeks isnt it?! you could drive yourself mad looking for every tiny symptom!!

i tried the preseed for the first time last night, im not too keen on it, used the smallest amount (1 on the syringe) but still thought it was far too much...i have been reading a few things on ppl using it after dtd so might try that instead! every little helps smile

Hopefully there will be lots of BFP's on this thread v soon grin

setayharas Fri 18-Jan-13 14:10:12

bit of a tmi qestion but how long before dtd do u use it?
i was using about 2/3 on the syringe about 15 mins before dtd and it seemed ok (i read to give it time to spread out to every nook and cranny lol) maybe thats why i got on ok or iv got a bucket crutch lol

so you might be snowed in this weekend whilst you ov so you have no excuse to not dtd

hoping2beamum Fri 18-Jan-13 14:41:34

I put it in about 45 mins before we ended up dtd as DH got delayed on a phonecall...i was aiming for 15 mins...maybe 45 mins was too long???

hes already been told it will be a busy weekend wink but i dont like putting him under too pressure either as he hasnt had a high sex drive the past few years due to high job stress so im trying to make it as relaxed as possible and forwarning him! he has been very good and obliging though..although i felt sorry for him last night when he was so tired and still didnt complain at my requests!

How long have you been ttc?

LovesTheOutdoors Sat 19-Jan-13 22:58:27

I bet a lot if people are googling the SMEP now...just like me! Sounds interesting, but a bit tiring if I'm honest!

roofio87 Sun 20-Jan-13 15:11:48

anyone else going completely crazy like me reading into every little thing your body is doing?!?! I'm on cd18 and my boobs have defo gone bigger like just before I get my AF,but not due for over a week. also been a bit bloated and crampy. its probably nothing and I normally wouldn't even notice but now I'm ttc I'm obsessed Haha!!

BunnyTamer Sun 20-Jan-13 21:17:29

My AF was due 17th and tested but was a negative despite AF being a no show. Tested today and there was a faint but discernible second line. I'm pregnant! I was 'sure' it would take a long time, with my PCOS and all, and that I was imagining the metallic taste and crampy feelings and stabbing boob pain. But I wasn't, there is definitely someone in there! I hope things go as well for everyone else and thank you for sharing, I didn't feel alone in it all.

roofio87 Sun 20-Jan-13 21:28:50

bunnytamer wow a MASSIVE congratulations!! I'm so pleased for you and hope ur pregnancy goes really smoothly and wishing u lots of future happiness with your baby!! x smile

LovesTheOutdoors Sun 20-Jan-13 23:12:59

Wow that is so exciting!! Congrats!

hoping2beamum Mon 21-Jan-13 08:10:29

CONGRATULATIONS Bunnytamer. Thats wonderful news. Wishing you a very happy & healthy 9 months. grin

setayharas Tue 22-Jan-13 11:23:44

Big congrates bunny spread your bfp luck around!

How's everyone doing? I'm 7/8dpo now and have no symptoms. Hoping that because I'm not stressing and looking for every symptom rather.
Although I am completely obsessed with crea
Soda at the moment(maybe its a craving haha)

Getting a bit bored with waiting though and dunno how much longer I can wait to poas

Hope your all ok

Sunshine2013Hopefully Tue 22-Jan-13 12:23:11

Massive congratulations bunnytamer!!
Wow our first bfp, hopefully the first of many for this thread!

Well I'm 8 dpo today and I'm really in need of a virtual slap round the face - any volunteers? I totally think I'm pregnant, I promised myself I wud b realistic when beginning this journey but it seems I'm just getting reli carried away and I'm just gona set myself up for a major fall!

Anyone else being this mental or is it just me! Lol

hoping2beamum Tue 22-Jan-13 13:12:52 on the same boat as you....this tww is very hard!! trying to keep busy and occupy the mind! every little twinge or feeling & im googling it! i have been given advice from girlfriends with babies to stay away from the website twoweekwait otherwise you will drive yourself insane and convince yourself you are preggers!

im walking the dogs 2 or 3 times a day, going to the gym and baking plenty of cakes/biscuits to try and keep my mind off things!!

when are you due to test?

setayharas Tue 22-Jan-13 19:15:20

I gave in, I tested 8dpo.....bfn but then that's all I expected. I'm such a stupid cow I should have just waited

Oh well off to go swimming And to hear the mates dating gossip, maybe I'll stop thinkin of poas for even ten mins

LovesTheOutdoors Tue 22-Jan-13 20:31:19

sunshine and hoping I am exactly the same! I unfortunately have had a 3week wait, as had a 35 day cycle last month (1st month off the pill) and thought it would be a bit shorter this month as my body is getting pill free. But day 35 is tomorrow, and no AF yet!!! I totally thought I wasn't pregnant a week ago, but now, I totally think I am! Haven't had period pain as I usually do, and had funny waves of light cramping a couple of weeks ago...which could have been implantation right??

Totally TMI, but tried to POAS this morning, but even managed to fail on one of the digital ones...not enough liquid if you know what I mean! Going to try again tomorrow, and will be really disappointed if I don't get a BFP, even though it is only 1st month trying! So glad I'm not the only one going insane though!

Sunshine2013Hopefully Tue 22-Jan-13 21:39:27

Glad I'm not alone girls! grin

hopingtobeamum staying busy is the only way isn't, the thought of ur poor dogs worked to death made me lol!
Af is due next Monday, but dh has an interview for a new job on Tuesday and wudnt want it to distract him so I'm testing on the Tuesday or Wednesday if af hasn't shown up by then? What about u, when u testing?

setay sorry about the bfn but 8 dpo is reli early, ur not out of the game yet!

lovestheoutdoors oh how exciting testing time tomorrow, let us know how it goes! I know what u mean about being disappointed but it is rare to get pregnant on the first cycle so plz dont get disheartened. Altho wudnt it b amazing if we managed to get knocked up in our first month, eeeeekkk! grin

Soooo let's obsess about symptoms. My biggest symptom has been tingly breasts, like pins and needles, any1 else getting this???

SeriousStuff Tue 22-Jan-13 21:44:11

LovesTheOutdoors I'm as insane, believe me. I'm also on cycle 1, TTC1, AF due in 6 days. No idea when I ov-d as had EWCM on a number of days throughout my cycle! Also, good luck tomorrow!

This first month has dragged and am finally letting myself POAS on Friday...I have nothing but admiration for all the amazing women on here who persist for years.

Ladies, when it's meant to happen, it will happen!

roofio87 Tue 22-Jan-13 22:20:06

oh ladies, this 2ww really is a nightmare isn't it!! me and my bf have agreed that every month it doesn't happen we're going to do something we won't do when we're having a baby, like going for a big night out or day trip somewhere like go ape Haha!! thought it might at least give a silver lining to it taking a while!!
but also know I'm going to be disappointed id it doesn't happen!! I can poas on Monday and I can't wait!!!! grin

setayharas Tue 22-Jan-13 22:46:09

Oh I never expected a bfp at 8 days just have so many Internet cheapies I thought what the hell.

So I was swimming and had a massive panic, what of the water got in me and flushed out a fertilised egg haha. I even. Considered getting out until the ex sister in law informed me I was quite ok to swim.

Only thing I'm gettin is creamy cm as a pulling pain both sides of my pelvic area when I was swimminh(probably from my under used muscles)

Iheartcrunchiebars Wed 23-Jan-13 03:56:24

Hi do you mind if I join in? I'm 31 and have just started ttc. All very exciting and terrifying at the same time!

hoping2beamum Wed 23-Jan-13 07:31:09

Hi Iheart <waves> hope you enjoy the chats in here, it helps a lot to know there are others here to talk to!! Fingers crossed you get your bfp soon.

Fingers crossed for you today lovestgeoutdoors , really hope it's a bfp for you. You are right about having so much respect for those who have been trying for a long time, I don't know they do this every month, their strength is incredible & something that is very admirable.

sunshine you've less than a week to go, will keep fingers crossed for you next week. Those sound like positive symptoms you've been having. Do you by any chance monitor your cervix position? I can't find much info on the Internet about how it changes (ie lower or higher) if you have conceived. The only symptoms I've had yet are bloating & gassy tummy & small amount of heartburn in the evenings. AF is due on 2nd feb so I've a while to wait before testing, I'm only 3dpo. The dogs love their walks so they're not too upset that they're getting out so much but Im not sure they will be so tolerant when it goes back to one long walk after the tww lol.

roofio that sounds like a great plan with your oh if it doesn't work this month but fingers crossed it does. I think it's very important to blow off steam after these two weeks. Never ever imagined It would be this hard!!!

Haha setay that made me lol about the swimming. Hope you got to enjoy the swimming in the end. How many dpo are you & when did the creamy cm start after you ovulated?

Iheartcrunchiebars Wed 23-Jan-13 07:35:32

Thanks for the welcome! Fingers crossed for all of us x

setayharas Wed 23-Jan-13 07:35:36

Since about 5dpo I think, but iv always had cm so not sure if I'm just noticing it more now. Google tells me it's progesterone being produced with is normal during a cycle but also vital for pregnancy so could be a sign might not, who bloody well knows lol

LovesTheOutdoors Wed 23-Jan-13 08:07:38

OMG........I got a BFP!!!! Amazing!!! Getting light cramps this morning though, but googling says this is normal!! Me and DH a bit shaky still though...feel like I'm dreaming!

roofio87 Wed 23-Jan-13 09:17:19

ahh lovestheoutdoors massive congratulations!! that's great news,so pleased for you!! grin x

hoping2beamum Wed 23-Jan-13 10:50:27

lovestheoutdoors HUGE Congratulations!! <hug> thats fantastic news. Wishing you a very happy & healthy 9 months. Delighted for you xx

setayharas Wed 23-Jan-13 11:35:37

Yay outdoors that's amazing! Congratulations. Any symptoms any tips for next month of we need them lol?

Bet your over the moon!

This seems a lucky thread!

Sunshine2013Hopefully Wed 23-Jan-13 12:34:19

Omg outdoors that's amazig!! I'm sure both you and the dh is delighted. So happy for you, hope u hav an amazing and healthy pregnancy!

Our 2nd bfp now, this thread is reli taking off!
Well for us eager 2wwers wat symptoms did u hav that was obviously now pregnancy related?

I had painful stitch like cramps all day yesterday and the day before, at one point it actually got reli sore. Hoping that was implantation. (^wishful thinking^) lol

setayharas Wed 23-Jan-13 13:23:43

nothing over here really. the last couple of months iv been convinced this month im sure im not!

just still getting cm but thats still apprantly normal so nothing.

got ultra sound in the morning so see what happens there

i did get a 8/9dpo bfn this morning so just sulking now lol oh is in for hell tonight i think

Iheartcrunchiebars Wed 23-Jan-13 13:28:42

Brilliant news!

LovesTheOutdoors Wed 23-Jan-13 18:35:41

Thanks everyone! I keep smiling to myself, can't quite believe it! I would say that my only symptom was cramping in waves about a week/10 days ago, which I thought must have been my AF coming, but obviously wasn't! Still seemed to have pmt and shouted at my DH a couple of times, but maybe he was just particularly annoying this month. Best of luck to all of you!! Xx

Sunshine2013Hopefully Thu 24-Jan-13 21:38:19

Ach I'm sure ur well chuffed loves, thanks for letting us know ur symptoms.

I have been having painful cramps for few days they stopped yesterday - wonder if that's a good sign!

Well il find out tomaro , as I am taking my very FIRST pregnancy test tomaro morning! Eeeek this is the first time in my life I've poas and reeeeeeeli wanted that second line to appear! Lol

I'll only b 10dpo tomaro but I'm going out tomaro nite for my birthday and don't know whether to drink or not! Got a FR test!
Fx I get a +!!! Anybody else testing tomaro??

hoping2beamum Fri 25-Jan-13 07:34:17

Best of luck sunshine with the test today, but don't give up hope if it's a negetive, it's still early. When is your BFP due? Will keep my fingers crossed for you today.

I'm only 5dpo today, this tww is a drag...does it just crawl by for anyone else????
Only symptoms I've had are acid reflux & burping for the past 2 days after anything I drink or eat which is very unusual for me. I've been very tired the past two days & extremely cranky - poor DH can't do anything right at the moment & I am never like that. Apart from a couple of twinge yesterday on my right ovary side, that's about it. Hoping some retail therapy will help today. grin

How's everyone else?? Any others due to test soon

setayharas Fri 25-Jan-13 07:42:12

10dpo and bfn here, think I'm out! No symptoms nothing so thinking that's it for me this month annoying this as dtd at all the right times.
Onto month four for me then

Bezza2508 Fri 25-Jan-13 08:50:26

I'm 4dpo today hoping and the 2ww is definitely dragging. No symptoms here! Maybe that's a good sign because the last 2 months I have been convinced I was having pregnancy syptoms and then AF showed up!!

Congratulations on the BFPs ladies!! x

Iheartcrunchiebars Fri 25-Jan-13 08:58:52

6dpo and did a test yesterday which was obviously negative. Couldn't wait though!

roofio87 Fri 25-Jan-13 09:02:00

ladies!! I'm only 9dpo but couldn't help myself I poas!!! I had a super sensitive 4 day early one which I was going to do tomorrow but I couldn't wait!! I have got the very very faintest line, hard to see but definitely there!!! I'm now terrified I'm going to have got my hopes up and worried about anything going wrong thinking I might be pregnant this early on!! opps, maybe I should not have poas!!!!!

Sunshine2013Hopefully Fri 25-Jan-13 10:13:12

Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!!!
I got a faint BFP!!!

I'm 10 dpo so used a first response test and a can't believe there's a second line - the fact that there is a line there at all no matter how faint does mean I'm pregnant doesn't it?

roofio congrats, I think.we r both in the same situation, I'm now worried it cud still go wrong and my period cud turn up on Monday and if I hadn't tested today I wud just think it was af, now I'll b devastated if it turns up!

Fingers and toes crossed for both of us!

setay I'm sorry to hear about ur bfn, but ur not out yet! Fx for you! Xxx

roofio87 Fri 25-Jan-13 10:16:03

oh sunshine yes sounds like we're very much in the same boat!! I know maybe these early tests aren't so good, but hopefully we'll be fine and its the start of our very exciting pregnancies!! I used a superdrug 4 day early test and got a very faint positive. gonna test with another one on sat then got some less sensitive ones to test with next week!!!

setayharas Fri 25-Jan-13 10:28:23

ahhh congratulations girls! think this has gotta be one lucky thread ay!!

im gonna take a few days off of here now(im driving myself doolaly)

need a break from thinking about bfn,s and stop getting myself worked up and upset

congratulations again

Iheartcrunchiebars Fri 25-Jan-13 10:44:34

Congratulations sunshine and roofio! Maybe this is a lucky thread. Dh busted that I had taken a test yesterday and have been told off for 1) doing it too early 2) not telling him! I'll have to wait till next Wednesday now. (5 days seems a loooong way away.)

hoping2beamum Fri 25-Jan-13 10:45:03

Ah setay, it's not over until the witch arrives so will still keep all fingers and toes crossed for you.

bezza I'm driving myself insane this time round, don't know why, maybe because no symptoms the past couple of months. When I was pregnant 6 years ago (mc at 5 months) I suffered very badly with heartburn & acid reflux which is why I think I'm going crazy this month.

iheart fingers crossed you get that BFP over the next few days. When is your bfp due?

hoping2beamum Fri 25-Jan-13 10:48:04

Congrats to sunshine & roofio they both sound very positive!!!! Yay!!! Hope that line gets darker for you both over the next couple of days!!! I feel this is a very very lucky thread!!!! Fingers crossed for us all xxx

Iheartcrunchiebars Fri 25-Jan-13 10:54:28

Should be Friday. Do you think Wednesday is ok to test or should I wait to see if it arrives?

Iheartcrunchiebars Fri 25-Jan-13 10:54:51

Ps it's so nice being able to talk to people about this!

hoping2beamum Fri 25-Jan-13 12:37:10

Do you think you could hold out til Friday?? I know I can't hold out til next Saturday so was going to test with a clearblue digital on Thursday! Do you think that's too soon? Next Saturday seems a lifetime away & DH is too excited too!!

It's lovely to have somewhere to talk isn't it!! I've found it's relieved a lot of the stress this month.

Iheartcrunchiebars Fri 25-Jan-13 19:43:33

Definitely! If I can hold out till Thursday I will be happy although I'm pretty sure I haven't conceived. sad let's say Thursday then!

hoping2beamum Fri 25-Jan-13 21:15:41

Sounds good to me, will give us a day to aim for & at least we both know we can come here to celebrate or vent....I really hope it's celebrating for both of us!! Hope you have lots of lovely things to do this weekend to keep your mind off it. X

Iheartcrunchiebars Sat 26-Jan-13 07:13:42

Fingers crossed for a double bfp.

Sunshine2013Hopefully Sat 26-Jan-13 12:30:55

Thanks for the congrats girls, I'm reli nervous now tho, this testing early lark just adds more stress, I'm worried I might have a chemical pregnancy! If I cud offer advice id say to try and hold off as long as possible before testing, altho I for one know that's reli hard! Thank god for this place!

TMI alert I had a little bit of bleeding last night but it was brownish, so I'm hoping it might have been old implantation blood from Wednesday?! Wat yous think?
Barely slept last nite worrying, but there's been no more bleeding so fx!

rooftop how r today? Did u test again this morning, did the line get darker?

setay hope ur ok, totally understand u raking a wee break from here. Can u and dh hav a wee treat like a weekend away to get ur mind off it and just relax? That was our plan if it hadn't worked out for us this month, we were heading to a spa for the weekend, massages, yummy food and wine can work wonders! Good luck xxx

roofio87 Sat 26-Jan-13 12:40:06

sunshine I'm being unbelievably patient and putting off testing again till tomorrow. can't believe I've managed it!! hoping it'll give my body some time to produce some more hcg!! I got a pregnancy app and that said that a little bleeding in the 3rd week (which is what we are now I think!!) is normal so try not to worry too much!! I'm gonna keep testing and if I get good + by wed I'm making a Dr app!! grin

setayharas Sat 26-Jan-13 12:45:09

heyy.. sorry couldnt stay away(calmed down abit aswell. after a good telling off from oh lol)

another bfn today for me so doubt its my month now got some wicked af pains and zits.

off to see ronan keating tonight haha (never did get over the boyzone stage) and decided im going to treat myself to a couple of glasses of wine maybe a few and try not to act like a crazy lady lol

im sure everything is fine sunshine iv seen people on here have spotting and everything has worked out perfectly relax and enjoy it!

hoping2beamum Sat 26-Jan-13 14:20:47

Sunshine that sounds like implantation bleed...if its brownish then i wouldnt say you need to worry. Fingers x'd for you. what day of your cycle did you start testing on?

setay lol.... have a great time at Ronan keating tonight & enjoy your few glasses of wine!!

roofio really hope you get your bfp tmrw. You've got the patients of a saint waiting for tmrw!!

Was anyone else really really cranky from 5dpo onwards? im like a bull at the moment and i know its because im feeling exhausted from about 12pm onwards but im starting to feel a little sorry for dh as im biting his head off at things i wouldnt usually.

Also has anyone used the first response 6 day early tests?

Sshsecretenclosed Sat 26-Jan-13 16:07:49

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this and TTC!

I'm 25, my partner 26. We want to TTC. I have been on the pill for exactly 4years. When is best to finish with pill, currently I'm in the middle of a pack? Any tips for those first few months of trying. Warning - I'm über broody!! So excited, just like u ladies so nice to have somewhere to come to let out all the excitement. Fingers crossed for u all here! Look forward to hearing from

Iheartcrunchiebars Sat 26-Jan-13 16:14:58

Welcome sshhhh good to have you onboard! I came off the pill about 3 years ago and it took 2 years for my periods to get back to normal. But I had been on it for 13 years. One of my friends stopped taking the pill and was pregnant within a week so I don't think there's any set way. Good luck ttc! Xxx

Sshsecretenclosed Sat 26-Jan-13 17:27:42

Thank you ' iheart'. I firmly have fingers crossed that I won't have problems getting my cycles back regular but I know if I did struggle there are plenty of other ladies on her who have been thru it too xx

Dowk31 Sat 26-Jan-13 18:47:36

Congrats Sunshine it's lovely that you started this post and got your BFP!!! X

Sunshine2013Hopefully Sat 26-Jan-13 18:49:21

Hi everyone, and welcome sssshhh, thanks all for the encouragement, it calmed me down a lot! I checked google and it said implantation bleed can happen 2 days after implant, which I'm sure I felt occurring on Wednesday! There's been no more blood so I'm a lot calmer now!

I'm planning to test again tomorrow as well rooftop hoping the line gets darker!

setay treat urself to lots of wine, and have a great nite it's well deserved!!

ssshh I came of the pill a year before TTC ( had been on for 10 years) I'd say it took about 9 months for it to get back to norm. Took vitamin b complex and evening promise oil from the start to try and help regulate my hormones! Good luck x

hoping I tested at 10dpo with the first response early detector, it wasn't the 6 day one! And I was extra cranky/short fused earlier as well, so mayb that's a good sign! The biggest signs for me, if it helps, was slight cramps that got pretty painful around 7/8 dpo ( implantation). Also my breasts tingled like pins and needles random times throughout the day from about 3/4 dpo. It was something i had never felt before!

Sunshine2013Hopefully Sat 26-Jan-13 18:51:20

Thanks dowk still in limbo at the min tho, don't want to believe the bfp too soon, incase it all goes wrong! So tentatively excited at the mo!

hoping2beamum Sat 26-Jan-13 19:30:29

Thanks sunshine that's useful to know someone else was extra cranky as well!! I feel like it's an uncontrollable crankyness, very very short fused & emotional. Bbs haven't tingled yet or hurt but do feel full & heavy. Have terrible gas, burping constantly since 2dpo.
Hope your line gets darker tmrw, wouldn't that be a brilliant Sunday!!
I think I will try the clear blue digital test next thurs, going to go to my best friends house to do it at 8am as dh will have gone to work & she understands exactly what we're all going through each month!!

Hi sssh hope you get your cycle back quickly & your bfp just as quick!!

rooftop very best of luck tmrw with your test. X

roofio87 Sat 26-Jan-13 20:25:09

shhh I came off my pill mid Nov,had a small bleed three days later then nothing until January 3rd. that period defo felt like a normal one though much heavier and more painful like I had before I went on the pill. next one due on wed but fingers xd I'm pg!!! didn't seem to take long for mine to get back to normal which was great. especially as I had some chemotherapy 2 years ago and my periods stopped completely for a while!!
yes sunshine hopefully my test tomorrow will give an even more obvious line. I got asked today if I was feeling broody holding my new nephew and I almost couldn't contain myself!! hope ur test goes well tomorrow too and we both get even bigger bfps!!! grin

Sshsecretenclosed Sat 26-Jan-13 20:27:10

Hi roofio,

Fingers crossed for u my love. It sounds like you've had a great experience coming off the pill, hope mine can be just as good! Xxxx

roofio87 Sat 26-Jan-13 20:29:12

hopingtobeamum I have felt exhausted since about 5dpo. hoping that I am pg or else I don't know what's up with me. I used the superdrug 4 day early test and got a very faint line 9dpo. testing again tomorrow to make sure!!
where r u in ur cycle now?!x

hoping2beamum Sat 26-Jan-13 21:11:55

roofio sounds like we had very similar experiences, I went through chemo as well two years ago. Hope you are also fully recovered! Thanks for sharing your symtoms, currently 6dpo, for the past couple of days I have felt the same tiredness/exhaustion that I can only liken to chemo but not quitevas bad. I am napping for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Will keep all fingers & toes crossed for your test tmrw, let us know how you get on!!

Had a glass of wine this ece, after two sips I had to run to the bathroom, huge wave of nausea & a hot flush just came over me.

This tww is hard!!!!

roofio87 Sat 26-Jan-13 21:24:20

yeah hoping I'm sure you are like me and worrying about the tiredness. I felt tired all the time before I was diagnosed with cancer so feeling like that again makes me worry but hopefully its pg hormones!! I don't mind feeling rubbish for that!! fingers xd that nasty chemo isn't gonna stop us get pg,onwards and upwards!! smile

roofio87 Sun 27-Jan-13 06:50:06

yes I got up at 6 30 on a Sunday morning to poas and yes it came back BFP!!grin can't believe it,so so exciting. I cannot believe it happened so quickly!! thanks for your support ladies you've been fab!!grin

Iheartcrunchiebars Sun 27-Jan-13 07:23:25

That's amazing!! A million congratulations. Xxxxx

Sunshine2013Hopefully Sun 27-Jan-13 11:16:33

That's brilliant roofio, big BIG congratulations!!!

I did another test this morning as well, the line is a little darker, altho it's still light pink not the strong pink of the control line!
So I'm still not reli believing it! My af is due tomorrow or Tuesday so il see how that goes, then take another, then start to believe it!

I just feel so lucky, as this was our first month trying!

If yous don't mind, I mite just hang around here for another little while until I'm 100% sure!

This has been a productive thread, I think that's 4 bfps now, hoping everyone else gets theirs soon as well! Xxx

roofio87 Sun 27-Jan-13 11:26:05

I know sunshine I'm SIL had her baby on Thursday and she said she didn't believe it was happening right up until he was born!! Haha. yeah I'll probs be lurking around a while too. I keep telling myself that its amazing we've conceived so fast as I was told I only had a 50/50 chance of getting pg so no matter what the good news is I can get pg!!xx grin

hoping2beamum Sun 27-Jan-13 15:16:43

Massive congratulations roofio & sunshine that's amazing news!!! Absolutely delighted for you both.

Fingers crossed the good luck keeps running in this thread grin

cannot wait to poas!! roofio yes, it's a hard trek & the tiredness is a constant worry. Always at the back of my mind. I have AF type pains today (she's not due until next Saturday) & still incredibly tired....hasn't helped that dh chose this weekend to throw a strop for both days!! It's been a long weekend!! Bring on Monday!

Congrats again you two, I imagine it's the best Sunday ever for you both!!!

Iheartcrunchiebars Sun 27-Jan-13 17:46:04

Hurry up Thursday! I am becoming obsessed with 'symptoms' that's obviously in my head!

Nausea....tick... But I ate 5 pancakes for breakfast
Tiredness...tick...except I am an insomniac so am always tired.
Windy....tick....see above pancake comment!!

hoping2beamum Sun 27-Jan-13 20:00:08

iheart I'm right there with you in that boat!!
Hope those pancakes were scrumptious!!

Have never been so tired or emotional in my life...& these af crampy feelings aren't helping.

Hurry up Thursday!!!!!

Iheartcrunchiebars Sun 27-Jan-13 20:28:05

That sounds very promising! I'm sure it will be a negative for me but have high hopes for you!

hoping2beamum Sun 27-Jan-13 21:03:59

im not sure either...sure we'll see on Thursday anyway...fingers crossed it'll be great news for both of us grin

Suddenly had these horrible cramps come on in both of my thighs & groin but mainly the right one.....not sure what that means...if anything!!

setayharas Mon 28-Jan-13 10:56:38

well no af yet. but she isnt really due until tomorrow. another bfn this morning and any cm i had has dried up so af wont b long sad

getting the most horrific cramps and feel like iv pulled all my lower pelvic muscles so if she is on her way i wish she would hurry up now

Iheartcrunchiebars Tue 29-Jan-13 06:33:31

Got my first twinges of period pain this morning sad

hoping2beamum Tue 29-Jan-13 08:05:23

Try & stay positive iheart when is she due?
All of my symptoms have disappeared apart from the emotional rollercoaster & tiredness so not holding out much hope for Thursdays testing either but trying to stay positive.

How are you doing this morning setay? Hope you're ok & af has stayed away! Xx

Iheartcrunchiebars Tue 29-Jan-13 08:27:26

Friday or Saturday.

hoping2beamum Tue 29-Jan-13 14:50:13

Dont get disheartened iheart....When I came back from the dog walk this morning I suddenly felt like AF was here or definitely near (im not due til Saturday & never have any cramps/feeling like she's coming until the day before she arrives) i did some research...a large number of women have felt AF like symptoms and still got their bfp's. Dont loose all hope just yet. Certainly changed my mind set when I read all of the information I could find.

startoftheroad Tue 29-Jan-13 15:23:36

hi all .... can i join ? my name is Becky and i am in my first month of a) - coming off the pill (symptoms are not great) and b) trying to concieve ..... any advice as all very overwhelming and scary xx

setayharas Tue 29-Jan-13 15:34:20

heyyyy im still here! af not shown her face yet and she is due today.

tmi comming here.... i have got sooo much watery cm that i feel like im weeing myself constantly running to the toilet thinking shes here.

dp has hidden all my sticks so no more poas for me this cycle lol

dying for a glass of wine so wish ijust knew either way

setayharas Tue 29-Jan-13 22:02:50

Af got me! I was so sure we'd done enough this month heyho
Onwards to cycle5 armed with my new clear blue fertility monitor,
How's everyone else? Anyone gonna be hanging around with me next month?

ncsmummy Wed 30-Jan-13 06:23:09

Can I join please? This is our first month ttc. AF due 2 Feb.
Symptom spotting so far brings crazy exhaustion all day, headaches, swollen painful breasts, leg cramps and a hunger like nothing I have never known!! lol
Hope everyone gets their BFP soon!!

hoping2beamum Wed 30-Jan-13 11:48:48

Hi Ncsmummy and startoftheroad <waves> Hope both of you get your BFP's soon.

setay im so sorry the witch got you. Onwards & upwards for next month & fingers crossed you get your BFP. Hope you find the cbfm as useful as i did. I found it much easier than temping.

iheart how are you doing today? Hope you're feeling ok.

Dh made me do a test this morning - BFN. sad sad sad (sorry iheart - i know we were meant to test in the morning but DH has no patience) Felt an awful gutted feeling as soon as that second line didnt show. I ued a FRER has anyone else had negetive results with these and gone on to have a BFP? I am only 10dpo so im hoping that it was just too early for me to test. Anyone else test on 10dpo and have a negetive that became a BFP?

If anyone is interested in visulisation & meditation for conception i found a lovely 10 min video on you-tube yesterday made me really relax and i felt very positive afterwards, its helped me today as well after the BFN this morning.

setayharas Wed 30-Jan-13 18:31:42

Thanks hoping got quite excited pressing the m
Button this morning it's calmed me down already knowing that I should hopefully get some kind of Run up to ov rather than the obsessive poas then dtd like a maniac lol

Never been one for meditation or visualisation but think I'll give that a go later on the laptop ( just tried to watch it on my phone and dropped my phone in my risoto so gave up on that idea)

I once googled bfn 10dpo and found thousands of stories from people who went on to get a bfp after that so don't loose hope yet! You might not have implanted yet so wouldn't even be producing any hormones to be detected!

FutureMum Wed 30-Jan-13 18:34:57

Hi ladies, TTC number 2, have been trying for six months, any tips appreciated. Number 1 was so easy, but the stressful life I have at the moment is playing havoc with my system (I think.) Either that, or at the ripe old age of 35 I left it all too late...

Iheartcrunchiebars Wed 30-Jan-13 20:40:49

hoping2beamum I have avoided the thread all day because we also caved this morning and did a test and got a BFN. I felt so guilty! We still have a few days left so I hope it's just too early. I won't be able to test now until a week tomorrow even if I do miss my period as I live too far away from anywhere that sells tests!

MY DH husband laughed at me this morning because I think the tests are too harsh. It broke my heart when it said 'Not Pregnant'. I think it should at least add 'Better Luck Next Month' or 'Not Pregnant Sorry'.

hoping2beamum Thu 31-Jan-13 07:38:33

iheart sorry it was a bfn for you too. I completely understand,it's a very hard thing to see 'not pregnant' first thing in the morning, doesn't put you in the best form for the rest of the day does it?! "better luck next time" or "not pregnant yet" would be a lot easier to take in - positive reinforcement! I envy you not being able to test now until next week, I have a cupboard shelf full of tests & wish I didn't. Another bfn this morning. sad how are you feeling in general? I felt af dull cramps all day yesterday but that is strange for me, I never feel her until the night before or the day of. Maybe I'm just all too aware of her now.

setay the cbfm is brilliant, at least you'll know your high fertility and peak fertility days. When the high fertility days come up on the monitor it's not long until your peak (2-3 days) so you'll know exactly when to get busy grin. Thank you for the positive thoughts yesterday, they really helped & I ended up googling the 10dpo bfn and you were right, thousands of people went on to get bfp's after a few days.

Hi futuremum fingers crossed you get your bfp soon. Are you taking vitamin B6 to help you?

ncsmummy Thu 31-Jan-13 07:44:06

Well I had to do it to myself didnt i? Despite af not being due til sat night and the box saying to use the first pee of the day i just had to poas! Of courise it was a bfn! Now convinced that I must have some kind of strange illness to explain all my symptoms instead!! I dont remember bein this crazy with my eldest 2 blush

setayharas Thu 31-Jan-13 07:57:36

Well iv woken up this morning to find that my dear dog has found my Cbfm test sticks from on the table and chewed a few of them to bits (an expensive chew toy) it's a good job he's cute.

hoping2beamum Thu 31-Jan-13 08:08:49

ncsmum so sorry about your bfn. Don't loose hope yet. What dpo are you?

Hahaha setay that cheered me up...lucky for you it wasn't the monitor!!! Could have been a lot worse!

I found some figures girls based on the percentage of women who get their bfp's on the days past ovulation. Hope this helps you all stay positive;

35% 10dpo
51% 11dpo
62% 12dpo
68% 13dpo
74% 14dpo
80% 15dpo
88% 16dpo
92% 17dpo

Iheartcrunchiebars Thu 31-Jan-13 10:04:17

This makes me feel a lot better thanks hoping2beamum I ovulated quite late in the month so there is still hope...kind of. xxx

hoping2beamum Thu 31-Jan-13 10:27:03

There is hope until the witch arrives....and then there is next month grin no-one ever tells you it's this hard do they?! We're not out yet though!! All fingers & toes crossed she stays away. Xx

startoftheroad Thu 31-Jan-13 13:45:10

hi all thanks for accepting :-) i never realised it was so difficult to get pregnant x i hope you all have some happy news soon .... i am having a crappy week this week as would have been my period week had i still been on the pill and nothing ... just feel moody and eating for england and still no period .... did anyone else have side effects from conning off the pill ? how long did your cycle take to kick in ??

why is it when you decide you want to ttc that you want it now ?? im impatient and ill never concieve if i dont get my period :-( booooooooooo

londonchick Thu 31-Jan-13 15:44:09

Hiya! Can I join in? I came off the pill in Nov and have had 2 cycles so far - one 32 days and one 37 days. Currently CD5. Just going with the flow for a while but this seems like a lucky thread!!

Iheartcrunchiebars Thu 31-Jan-13 16:37:08

Welcome london chick lets hope this is a lucky thread for you x

hoping2beamum Thu 31-Jan-13 17:11:10

Hi londondonchick welcome! Hope your stay is short & you get your BFP very soon.

startoftheroad I can't offer you any advice with regards to the pill as have never been on it but I really hope your cycle sorts itself out very soon. It must be very frustrating for you. And you're one tells you it's this hard to have a baby...I wish somebody had told us!!

Well AF feels like she's on her way any minute so I am armed with red wine, chocolates & plenty of films for the weekend.

I wish this would all just be so much easier for us all. It's a hard long road isn't it!!

Hoe everyone else is doing ok!! Anyone due to test soon & give us some good news???

Bezza2508 Thu 31-Jan-13 17:17:40

My AF is due on Saturday but think I may cave and POAS tomorrow morning as I have a night out planned tomorrow night and would quite like a glass of wine if I'm not upduffed! smile

setayharas Thu 31-Jan-13 20:33:39

Hey everyone hope you all holding up on ready for the weekend! Cd2 here again, wish af would bugger off as I'm ready to dtd all month if I have to lol a November baby would suit me fine!

This is a pretty lucky thread really!

Iheartcrunchiebars Fri 01-Feb-13 06:28:56

Morning everyone. Is anyone up early to test? I need good news!

hoping2beamum Fri 01-Feb-13 07:29:28

Morning iheart how are you feeling?? I hope af hasn't showed up for you!!

No testing in this house this morning, holding out til tmrw (when she's due) or Sunday if she hasn't arrived.

setay fingers crossed your bfp arrives this month!! Are you doing the SMEP plan as well as the monitor?

setayharas Fri 01-Feb-13 07:45:01

Morning! It's finally Friday! Hope you all have that Friday feeling.

Yeah I will try the smep dP is away for the next week so he should be back intime just for us to get going.

Dunno whether to invest in more preseed. You only get nine application sticks in a pack. After reading the reviews I was kinda convinced I would only need it one month.

Have u tested yet bezza?

Iheartcrunchiebars Fri 01-Feb-13 09:45:27

No signs from me and I think I was due on yesterday. My maths is dreadful. 28 day cycle last period 3/1? Anyway I think it's just my body playing tricks on me. I have ordered done mail order tests anyway for next month. We need a positive this weekend to keep us all happy!

hoping2beamum Fri 01-Feb-13 11:02:18

It is indeed finally Friday!! anyone got any good weekend plans?

I was under the same impressions as you setay about the preseed...thought it owuld work first cycle after all the raving reviews i read online! its expensive isnt it for the 9 applicators!

iheart if im right with my maths then 28 days from 3/1 would have been weds? that would have been your 28th day. i have fingers x'd for you that she doesnt show.

How are you doing bezza?

Bezza2508 Fri 01-Feb-13 11:47:38

BFN for me ladies sad I have also developed a stinking cold overnight so feeling really quite sorry for myself today! Never mind, AF will probably arrive tomorrow and then it will be on to month 4 I go!

I haven't tried pressed. I have used conceive plus. Is that the same kind of thing?

Fingers crossed that someone gets a BFP this month! Xx

Iheartcrunchiebars Fri 01-Feb-13 13:34:24

Bad times Bezza. Hope you aren't to sad <offers chocolate and wine>.

That's given me a little hope hoping2 to but I still think period is on the way. sad

No big plans for the weekend. As we live in the middle of nowhere. How about you?

hoping2beamum Fri 01-Feb-13 15:35:29

aww Bezza hope you are ok. <offers pile of mags to go with ihearts chocolate & wine>. dont loose all hope yet, she hasnt arrived just yet. what dpo are you today? Really hope you get your BFP v soon.

well fingers crossed she doesnt arrive for you iheart when will your tests arrive? Hopefully you'll have a nice relaxing weekend and have some good news next week! Are you usually regular as clockwork with your cycles?

No big plans either for the weekend, will try and relax by taking the boys (my dogs) to the beach for a big walk and will head out with dh for a few drinks to watch the rugby tomorrow but thats it really. I know I wont truly relax until af arrives (due tmrw) or we get a positive but i can feel af on her way - backache, breakouts and generally feeling rotten. grrrrr!!

setayharas Fri 01-Feb-13 19:15:49

Well dp is off snowboarding tonight for the week so of corsw me as my mate are hitting the town! Poor sod is all sad that he's gonna miss me and I'm excited to have some girls nights (I'm heartless sometimes)

hoping don't your dogs bring more beach home with them? My lil boy comes home covered in everything! I do think sometimes that no matter how long it takes me to get a bfp iv always got my little boy. ( who's probably more trouble than any baby)

ncsmummy Sat 02-Feb-13 06:01:28

I am not entirely sure how many dpo I was when I tested but I have a feeling it was at most 14 dpo so still hope.
AF is due today. My bf says I shouldnt poas until afte the weekend if it still hasnt arrived! does he not realise how hard it is to resist the urge??? lol

Iheartcrunchiebars Sat 02-Feb-13 06:48:43

This wait is horrible isn't it ncsmummy? Still no af this morning. My tests were dispatched yesterday so I'm hoping they'll arrive in the post today.

ncsmummy Sat 02-Feb-13 06:56:14

It is - I just want to know!! lol hope your tests arrive - I bought some yesterday ready so just got to wait!! I have got my fingers x for you

hoping2beamum Sat 02-Feb-13 07:37:44

Hope your tests arrive this morning iheart & wishing you lots of luck. Really hope it's your bfp. How are you feeling?

ncsmummy you're so good at holding off poas!! Fingers crossed for You on Monday! I'm going to take a leaf out of your book & try to hold out until Monday too, my af is also due today.

setay lol yes my boys also bring back half the beach with them but as we have moved to Dublin for a while and the weather is horrendous I would much rather they brought sand back with them than a tonne of mud from the park. smile like you I would be very lost without them, especially going through this every month!! They are a brilliant distraction!
How was your girls night out? Hope you had a great time! Sounds like a brilliant trip for your dh as well!!
Had a minor breakdown at dh last night, tears, the full works. Very very unlike me & was over nothing...I didn't even know it was coming or why I was crying. Is that normal??! Good job he had a bottle of red wine & good chocolates up his sleeve!

Iheartcrunchiebars Sat 02-Feb-13 07:47:10

Oh no hoping2beamum it's probably all the pressure (and bloody hormones)! I've tried so hard not to get my hopes up but I've spent the last 14 years believing that you can get pregnant at the drop of a hat and its very hard to get out of that mindset. I don't know about you but we also have friends asking us constantly when we are going to have a baby. It's very tiring!!

Apart from having a horrible cold and cough I'm fine . Just wish I didn't have this tiny flicker of hope because I think it's about to be dashed!

crazycatlady82 Sat 02-Feb-13 08:02:21

Hi all,

Hope I'm not too late to join this thread!

DH and I went from considering trying, to not wanting to try to oops we've run out of condoms. I keep a period chart and it was on my 'fertile' day so then we thought -sod it! And have started trying woohoo!!! Been TTC for 2 days lol!

ncsmummy Sat 02-Feb-13 08:33:07

hoping2beamum I havent got much choice - my bf has hidden the tests so I cant be tempted!!! lol
Fingers crossed for you!!!
I spent all of yesterday randomly crying for no reason too and I am not an emotional person - started feeling like I was going crazy!!! bloody hormones!!! lol

Iheartcrunchiebars Sat 02-Feb-13 09:26:06

Hi crazy cat welcome to the thread.

Ncsmummy I bet you can find those tests (probably in one of his drawers!)

Just realised we don't get post on a Saturday bugger bugger bugger!

Bezza2508 Sat 02-Feb-13 09:55:33

I was only 11dpo yesterday so there is still hope hoping. We shall see if AF arrives today. I know how you feel with the mini meltdown. I also had one of those yesterday afternoon. I didn't go to work, called in sick and although I have a stinking cold I am not normally one to call in sick for something like that (I have to be really ill usually) but with the BFN I just thought sod it, I'm not going today!! It doesn't help that I absolutely hate my job and so every month when I get a BFN I feel miserable at the thought that I am no closer to getting out of that place!

I totally know how you feel too Iheart. We got married 6 months ago and it feels like everyone is asking us about babies! We just want to reply "we're working on it" but of course, we don't!

hoping2beamum Sat 02-Feb-13 10:23:49

Hi crazycat hopefully this will be your month!! Wishing you lots of luck.

Oh iheart isn't it so hard when you think how many years you spent preventing something that seems so hard to now achieve! I'm so sorry you won't get your tests today, but they will be there ready & waiting for you on Monday morning grin
last night has been puzzling me somewhat, don't know what came over me...wasn't even just a few tears, it was full blown sobbing over having to go to a family lunch today???!!! Very very odd, I think you are right though, it is the pressure of it all, I was sure af was arriving yesterday -cramps all day & little cm. (TMI coming up) I did check my cervix this morn & usually right before af there is nothing but this morning there was a lot of cm & it was still high & soft, have no idea if that's a good thing but still feel like af is going to show any minute.

ncsmummy I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like a crazy person lol! Do you ever get like that before af? Bloody hormones is right!!!!

Hope you all haveca lovely day grin

setayharas Sat 02-Feb-13 15:13:22

Hey everyone!
just trying to catch up on everything iv missed whilst iv been out(I can't keep up lol)
hoping I had that this month, tons of cm I even put a towel on at one point! Iv started drinkig 2 litres of water this month as that makes more cm and more fertile cm should hopefully help he's awimmers( in theory) could that be your reason? Or maybe it's a sign as I war it can be a symptom

I also cried all month this month, I cried that my best mate fell pregnant the first month and she had her scan( I was adimant that life was unfair why wasn't it me) I cried that dp did want a baby coz he wasn't obsessed with my mate believe symptoms. I cried co work was busy haha I'm a mess since this ttc business

On the other hand dp produced an engagment ring before he went on holiday last night and said hed like to get married in the next couple pf years as he's NANs getting old.maybe that'll calm down my ttc obsession haha I doubt it

Iheartcrunchiebars Sat 02-Feb-13 15:27:20

Congratulations! Brilliant news!

hoping2beamum Sat 02-Feb-13 16:31:00

Wow!!!! Huge CONGRATULATIONS setay amazing news x

Bezza2508 Sat 02-Feb-13 16:52:47

Congratulations, that's lovely news!!! X

bebebuttons2 Sat 02-Feb-13 17:09:49

I want to join:D I've been off my cerazette pill for two weeks, hoping this is my first period and I will be fertile this month, should be valentines day if my calculations are correct! So I will be having regular love making sesh's as soon as my period finishes right up until when my next period is due! beg of March which is when I will be testing, fingers crossed for everyone on here, maybe this is the month for us! x

setayharas Sat 02-Feb-13 17:23:23

Thanks everyone! It's only taken 6 years of nagging haha and welcome everyone! This was quite. Lucky thread this month so hopefully te luck will carry on!

Hope your all enjoying the weekend

Iheartcrunchiebars Sat 02-Feb-13 18:57:33

I live it. We've had pregnancies, a proposal, who's up for a lottery win?

Iheartcrunchiebars Sat 02-Feb-13 18:58:17

Love it. Not live it.

hoping2beamum Sat 02-Feb-13 19:39:13

Bring on the lotto win iheart!! 20mins to go.

Af appeared in full force this afternoon :-(((((((

how's everyone doing??

setay what are you doing to celebrate the engagment???!! 6 years...well worth the wait :-))) xxx

Iheartcrunchiebars Sat 02-Feb-13 21:00:14

Oh no hoping. I'm sending you euromillions vibes.

ncsmummy Sun 03-Feb-13 03:37:18

Iheart - no i am usually not crazy before af but now we are ttc I think it may become a regular feature!! lol
Not slept properly for a week now - constant weird dreams and waking up at stupid o clock! I have no real desire to be awake at 3.30am!!!
Well af was due yest but hasnt appeared so I decided to hunt down the tests and poas this morning - bfn sad so looks like its a tri to the docs for me cos bf said if I'm not pg then I have got to go and find out why I have been feeling so awful!

crazycatlady82 Sun 03-Feb-13 03:40:09

Congratulations setey, amazing!

Iheartcrunchiebars Sun 03-Feb-13 06:33:13

Oh no ncsmummy sorry to hear that. I have also been having really odd dreams and can't sleep past 6am which is really annoying as I'm off work at the moment and would appreciate the lie ins! Fingers crossed the bfn is just a blip.

ncsmummy Sun 03-Feb-13 06:39:17

Thanks!! I never usually dream so its odd plus I usually sleep well. Its a combo of weird dreams, leg cramps and desperate urge to pee thats waking me so early! I have thought maybe its just too early - with my eldest 2 my dates were both put back a week at my dating scan which makes me think maybe i ov later than I think. Will try again in a few days if af doesnt appear!!
Soo hungry at the mo - i'm not usually a breakfast person but I've already eaten 4 weetabix and its only 6.30 am lol blush

londonchick Sun 03-Feb-13 10:49:12

Thanks for saying hi!! Have been following this thread with interest. Always good to know other people are going through the same thing!

setay congratulations on the engagement! Happy times!

My best friend told me she's pregnant yesterday so this have renewed my resolve to eat more healthily and drink less. Thankfully my husband is as keen as I am so that should make things easier! CD8 today for me.

Hope you're all having a good weekend!

Iheartcrunchiebars Sun 03-Feb-13 11:28:02

I've been taking folic acid for about 8 months now (to be super organised for January) but I really really wish I had kept better track of my periods. When it came, how late it was etc. Because I'm now 3 days late and I am sure it is coming but not being able to test is driving me insane.

My head is telling me I'm about to come on and I should just get on with it, it's only a month trying for goodness sake. My heart is planning how to tell my family and is planning a nursery. My husband thinks I'm nuts and is staying out of my way.

ncsmummy Mon 04-Feb-13 05:13:45

Aaaah Iheart, I know exactly what you mean!!! Fingers x for you that being late is a good sign!!!
My af is now 2 days late and no sign of it appearing. I have however had really bad lower back ache for days which I have never had before! I am going to try and wait it out until next weekend before I poas again hmm

hoping2beamum Mon 04-Feb-13 07:31:21

Very best of luck this morning iheart, hope your tests arrive & you get your bfp!!

Hope you're doing ok ncsmummy nothing worse than not knowing what's going on with your own body. Hope those tests turn positive to bfp's this week.

londonchick fingers crossed this will be your cycle!!

Hope everyone had a good weekend

startoftheroad Mon 04-Feb-13 11:15:00

hi londonchick hope you are well ... im in my 26th day since the end of my last period ... im so hoping it will kick in soon .... i feel like i dont work or something ..... i hope all is well with you and that you will have some good news soon smile.... you seem to be the most similar to me in time frame wise so maybe we could goon this journey together ....

my friends are saying i could be pregnant and to test but that will set me up for dissappointment i think ... what do you reckon ???

anyone got any exciting news from the weekend ??? im new to mumsnet so sorry if im a bit crap at it at atm

lets hope for a lucky week xx

Iheartcrunchiebars Mon 04-Feb-13 12:37:02

Good luck startoftheroad.

Out of interest have any of you told anybody else you are TTC? I've told my best friend (because I'm trying to recruit her to have a baby at the same time!!) but I would love to be able to talk to someone face to face about it.

Iheartcrunchiebars Mon 04-Feb-13 14:02:42

Help!! The tests have arrived (pack of 2).

I have just tested and there is a very faint cross. (BFP) But it is very faint.

Has anyone used the clearblue ones like this before? Can you still see the vertical line if you get a BFN?

I dont want to use the other one if it will be a waste? My husand's not here so I can't get his opinion...

hoping2beamum Mon 04-Feb-13 16:00:23

Yay iheart a faint positive is a positive bfp!!!
Test in the morning with your first urine..hormones will be stronger.
No you can't see the lines on a clear blue test if it's not positive!
So so pleased for you!!!!
No such thing as false ositives, only false positives on tests.

hoping2beamum Mon 04-Feb-13 16:01:46

Sorry in all excitement tgat last sentance makes no bloody sense...
There is no such thing as a false positive...false negatives can happen but not false positives x

Iheartcrunchiebars Mon 04-Feb-13 16:05:14

I won't get 100% excited until tomorrow but....oh my God oh my God.

Will let you know tomorrow. Thanks for being the first person to know!

hoping2beamum Mon 04-Feb-13 16:11:35

Ahhh iheart, you have my day, that's wonderful news ! You deserve it, all that hard work & preparing is worth it when you get those two lines.

Absolutely thrilled for you x

crazycatlady82 Mon 04-Feb-13 18:07:29

setay that is just wonderful! Congratulations smile

setayharas Mon 04-Feb-13 18:32:34

Wooooooooooo another bfp!!!! Congratulations! (as far as I no-- which isn't much-- a line is a line no matter how faint!!!!)Brilliant

Got to use the test sticks in my Cbfm this morning for te first time. I was quite excited haha I actually feel more relaxed aswell knowing this machine is doing the hard work of working out my ov for me! Here's to relaxed sex lol (not like last month where he just couldn't perform under the pressure lol)

ncsmummy Tue 05-Feb-13 04:44:03

Congratulations!!! I am so pleased for you!!!!!!

Iheartcrunchiebars Tue 05-Feb-13 06:42:26

Thanks everyone. Another very faint line again this morning. I'll be able to get to a town at the end of the week so will buy a test then and see what happens. Little bit more excited though! X

hoping2beamum Tue 05-Feb-13 07:12:30

Yay iheart that's fantastic!!! Big hugs!!!
The hcg might not be very high yet hence the faint lines, by the end of the week they should be glaring at you xx

setay how are the engagement celebrations going?? Hope you had a great weekend. Good to hear you are enjoying the monitor! It's a handy little gadget isn't it?! I find it is much more relaxing than the ovulation test sticks.

iheart I saw your earlier post about talking to friends etc about you I have told my best friend. I have also told my sister in law as she's a nurse & I needed some guidance as I went through chemotherapy two years ago but apart from that no one else knows that we are trying.

hoping2beamum Tue 05-Feb-13 07:14:15

startoftheroad how long are your cycle's normally?

setayharas Tue 05-Feb-13 07:33:36

No celebrations yet as oh is still away so I'm silently waiting for he's return lol!

I seem to have told everyone we r ttc. I'm quite an emotional person and it makes me feel better to think people no why I have the hump when I say time of the month! Haha silly I no.
Did back fire when i told best mate and she said I don't want any yet, then decided it would be fun for us to ttc together so we could be pregnant together.. It took her one month to conceive and now she seems to scared to even ask me how it's going.

hoping are you in the 2ww when's af due? My minds gone stupid I can't remember anything lol

ncsmummy Tue 05-Feb-13 08:06:29

Well I poas again this morning and it was bfn. I am going to try and get a docs appt as I keep feeling really faint and also the pain in my lower back and hips is getting to me now sad
hope everyone else is doing well.

moanymandy Tue 05-Feb-13 10:02:10

Hi ladies, Just wanted to join you for some advice. I POAS yesterday as period was due Sunday and I got a faint line. Did it again this morning and got another darker but till faint line!

I have been reading up online and on this thread and know that as line is a line but I'm in shock and not sure weather to believe it!
This would be DC2 and it took 10 months to conceive with Ds I cant believe it has happened on the first cycle!

I keep telling myself to just wait until the end of the week and do another test but its doing my head in not knowing for sure!!

startoftheroad Tue 05-Feb-13 10:41:30

good morning hoping2beamum my normal pill cycles are 28 days .... so my normal cycle i am unsure of. Before the pill i was regular (days im unaware of as i was so young i never counted) but was monthly

how is everyone today ??

ncsmummy hope all goes well at the doctors xxxx
moanymandy oooh how exciting .... fingers crossed for you xx i have no experience of that yet ..... but good luck and let us know smile

startoftheroad Tue 05-Feb-13 12:02:29

hey all - good news - i have just got my cycle turn up - which means at least that's all working .... not bad 32 days .... hurdle 1 over with :-)
now lets get a BFP in the next few months

hope your all having a fab day xx

setayharas Tue 05-Feb-13 12:15:21

Congrats startoftheroad haha did u ever think ud b happy to see that blood?

Works exceptionally boring today so passing the time by googling diets whilst ttc. Not found a great deal other than eat fruit and vegetables. Doesnt say anywhere that pizza hit will help me loose weight or conceive DAMN.

Whos due to test next then???

crazycatlady82 Tue 05-Feb-13 14:07:46

Is anyone else being driven mad by the wait to poas?

I am approx 4-5dpo sore stomach, sore back so feel af is due but that would be approx 8 days early.

I really want wine but can't just in case I get a bfp - grr!!!!

Needed to vent, sorry

startoftheroad Tue 05-Feb-13 14:36:52

setayharas ha ha - never ever did i think i would be glad no !! crazy ha

what does everyone do for a living ... im an office manager and some days its the most brain numbing job in the world grin

crazycatlady82 oh bless you - must be very very frustrating ..... only you can decide what is right for you xx

Franykins Tue 05-Feb-13 15:10:20

Hi all, can I join? I'm 30 and DP is 36. We're ttc our first, he has two boys from a previous relationship.

I only came off my pill last wed and my withdrawal bleed finished today. So as it stands we're very early stages of ttc lol. I'm so excited though and just can't wait for a BFP, but I know it could be a while after being on the pill for almost 16 years (with a couple of breaks) Just have to be patient I guess, but I've always wanted a baby and feel I've been waiting for years already lol. xxx

crazycatlady82 Tue 05-Feb-13 15:56:46

Hi frany welcome to the thread and best of luck

moanymandy Tue 05-Feb-13 16:12:11

well I have been a bought a clear blue test as the others were boots ones. and have a 3rd bfp! not sure why but trust the clear blue one!grin

so I'm starting to let muself believe that im actually pregnant! I'm getting married in just over 2 weeks! it really has all come at once. very excitedsmile

good luck all hope you get your bfp soon

crazycatlady82 Tue 05-Feb-13 17:06:20

Wow! Mandy amazing! Delighted for you big hug

hoping2beamum Tue 05-Feb-13 17:53:29

Mandy thats fabulous news!! congratulations on your bfp & congratulations on your wedding!! it really has all come at once....but they are all amazing things to be celebrating!!

Hi franky <waves> welcome!! hope you enjoy your stay & hope its not long until you get your bfp!!

thats great news for you startoftheroad, glad to hear af showed her face & you can get going with the ttc. Fingers crossed for you this month.

setay im back at the beginning again, cd4 at the be honest im glad the tww is over...i drove myself nuts! haha. this month i am determined not to do that again, loads of relaxing this time round, i had a breakdown when af arrived and i dont want to get in that state again!!
when is the oh home to start celebrating? gosh its all go on this thread isnt it!! Did you find any useful tips on the ttc diet? My best friend was telling me to take vitamin B6...its meant to work wonders for ttc (she was trying for 4 years for her little girl) apart from that she just said cut out caffeine & switch to deccaf and just enjoy dtd. Her most important advice was to relax & enjoy a glass of wine (or 2) if you feel like it... just dont get drunk. oh and also get dh to take folic acid and zinc to help those little swimmers even more!

How are you feeling iheart?

crazycat hope you are doing ok, the tww is painfully long isnt it! when are you due to poas?!?

setayharas Tue 05-Feb-13 19:15:24

Yeah that's how I felt these last few months, as upset as I was that af turned up it was a relief to relax again! I'm 7 dpo now so will be resuming my manic personality just before u this month.
Oh is home on Saturday so waiting until then!
I didn't find much on actually trying to loose weight, all diets were designed for fertility foods, so Ill just cut down and eat more fruit and veg I think,

I actually bought some b6 today wasn't sure whether to take it as everything I read said it helped a short Leutral phase and mines already 14 days. Might try it anyway see if it helps my irregular cycles.

startoftheroad I work in a bank in a disgusting town in Essex lol so I spend my day with the teenage mums an drunks , can't complain though it pays the mortgage.

I can't believe how many bfps there have been on this thread!
mandy get investing in the non alcoholic wine for your wedding toasts! That would be my biggest give away if I was drink less at a wedding haha

crazycatlady82 Tue 05-Feb-13 19:28:59

Hi hope I am due to poas on the 13th - unlucky/lucky for some ;)

moanymandy Tue 05-Feb-13 20:59:58

Thank you all! I really don't know what I'll do at the weddingconfused I'm just hoping that I will get away with it!

Good luck all thanks

Franykins Tue 05-Feb-13 21:41:14

Congratulations mandy

Ok so I have the worst stomach cramps! Is this due to coming off the pill? What other symptoms did people have when they came off the pill?

setayharas Tue 05-Feb-13 22:06:14

Never been on the pill in afraid,

But I no my mate had to take 3 days off work her first proper af off the pill as she felt so sick, run down and crampy.

But as with everything, it can be a symptom too lol!

ncsmummy Wed 06-Feb-13 05:14:41

Congratulations Mandy!
Docs visit went ok - he checked my temp, bp etc and they are going to check for a water infection. However he said he thinks I may well be pg but just dont have enough hormones to get a bfp. I have got to wait a week and if no af then I have got to do a hpt and if I still get a neg then he is going to do a blood test to check for pregnancy and also to check theres nothing else wrong. So I am keeping my fingers x - Its not over til its over!!

crazycatlady82 Wed 06-Feb-13 06:51:18

Does anyone use the 'early' preg tests? How reliable?

mandy you could use the excuse you don't want to get tipsy before the ceremony and then pretend to sip wine all night occasionally chucking some into a nearby but unsuspecting plant...

One of my friends told everyone she gets bad cystitis and didn't want it on her wedding day so wasn't going to drink

Also when I had my wisdom teeth out I was on an antibiotic that I couldn't drink with, and boy can't you drink with it. You need to leave 48hrs after stopping it before you drink - I did 24 and really suffered quite spectacularly on only 2-3glasses of wine.

Hope that helps

hoping2beamum Wed 06-Feb-13 07:35:29

crazycat the 13th will be lucky I'm sure!! (it's not a Friday!!) grin
I think it depends if the individual is producing enough hcg in their system to get a bfp on the early tests. I posted some figures last week of the percentage of women getting bfp's early. Hope that helps x

setay I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only one having manic crazy behaviours during the tww!! Haha. Not sure how I'm going to change things this month but I'm determined to do something!! Are you going to use the preseed this month? I can't decide wether it's worth the money again!!

ncsmummy fingers & toes crossed for you next week, hope you get that bfp. X

setayharas Wed 06-Feb-13 08:06:59

Morning all it's absolutely freezing here!

Keeping everything crossed for you mummy

I dunno about the preseed really iv got 2 applicators left so gonna save them 4 when I get the egg on my cbfm. Where I haven't been using the full 4g tho I have quite a lot of the lube left so might see if I can buy just the applicators from somewhere .
I think iv decided this month that if I want a glass of wine I will have one during the 2ww obviously not getting drunk but I'm not gonna keep thinking am I aren't I pregnant. Hopefully that'll keep me calmer I doubt it

Cramping again today in that area so when I see the doc next week I'll be begging for more tests, even if he ultrasound did come bck clear, why do doctors dismiss everything as menstral pains so quickl, u think after 11 years of periods he might believe I know what my cycle is really like.

startoftheroad Wed 06-Feb-13 09:51:13

Franykins welcome xx we are in the same boat ... im just a month in front - just had my first normal period post pill :-) x good luck
wheni came off the pill i had bloating cramps, i have had a bit of crappy skin but thats going down now and really REALLY sore boobs .... that was all in the first couple of weeks but subsides after x here if you have any questions as i only came off the pill first week jan

moanymandy congratulations xxx and congrats for the wedding too ... wow what an exciting year you have comming up grin

Franykins Wed 06-Feb-13 10:22:22

Thanks startoftheroad although not looking forward to sore boobs lol. How was your first normal AF? Is it wishful thinking I'll be the same as I was on the pill lol, they weren't too bad, however I'm sure my mum put me on the pill cos they were really painful!!!

setayharas I wish it was a symptom, but defo not I can be sure of that, hopefully next month, but again that could be wishful thinking too.

setayharas Wed 06-Feb-13 19:41:28

So iv searched eBay for lube applicators for the pressed, it's about £6 for 2 anal lube applicators haha. I can assure u I won't b using it there! Recon it'll do the same job tho!
I also read that people boil theirs then re-use them.
I might buy some more and do that in the future if I have too. Fingers crossed I won't after this month

startoftheroad Thu 07-Feb-13 10:41:58

Franykins morning x its been fine honestly ... i have been a bit moody (which im not used to) and i was really hungrey the week before all week (again a new symptom for me) but no cramps or anything so all in all - its been ok grin

setayharas Thu 07-Feb-13 10:52:29

sorry to hear that blue!
maybe its a shybean and your not producing enough htg

when was af due?

hoping2beamum Thu 07-Feb-13 16:07:51

Hi all! how are we doing today?

did some research on those applicators too setay...Not sure i'll be buying those anal ones either haha. i think i am going to sterilize mine after use. I dont even use 1ml of the preseed so i have a tonne of it left but only 5 applicators. You'd think they'd sell the applicators seperately!!

cd6 here & due to start the SMEP tonight, anyone else on a similar cycle as me & going to be going insane in 14 days time!??

How are you doing franykins any sign of af yet?

Hope that bfp is nice & strong now iheart!!!!

Franykins Thu 07-Feb-13 16:16:52

Hi all.

startoftheroad Well that's good to hear smile I always have choc cravings the week before AF is due so I'll have to wait and see what its like off the pill. Any cramping's I had seem to have stopped now but so has my withdrawal bleed so that's prob why.

hoping2beamum I good thanks, you? Well I'm on CD7 so nothing yet, but who knows when it will come and when my cycle will get back to a normal. I'm really hoping I'm gonna be one of the lucky ones coming off the pill and continue on the cycle I had on the pill hehe. If so then I should ov on the 15th according to my app. Unfortunately I'm going away for the weekend then but will make up for it during the week and then keep my fingers crossed!

How is everyone else doing? What is this preseed? I've never heard of it and is it worth looking into so soon after starting ttc when I don't know what my cycle will be? Would it be best to leave it for a few months and see what happens?

setayharas Thu 07-Feb-13 18:10:39

Preseed is a sperm friendly lube, it's meant to let the spermies swim through it and and people have said help them get to you Fallopian tubes (dunno how true that is) it coulda with kinda syringes tht you use inside you so it can help get the sperma everywhere. It's quite expensive £20 and you only get 9 syringes.
Loads of good reviews of people getting bfps the first month of using it although both of us on here didn't get us much luck.

I'm under the mindset of anythings worth a try! So it's really upto you!

setayharas Thu 07-Feb-13 19:17:25

Just to let you no concise plus advertises itself as being the only lube that helps sperms viability. Apprantly it has minerals in it that actually help
Keep the sperm alive longer. Preseed doesn't actually advertise that. So may give that a try this month instead!

startoftheroad Fri 08-Feb-13 09:50:45

morning all

hoping2beamum Fri 08-Feb-13 16:30:14

Hi All! How are we all doing today? Its Friday!! wooohooooo!! long week!!

How are you doing setay have you got a high on your monitor yet?? Heard that conceive plus is just the same as preseed but didnt know it could help keep the swimmers alive longer!! sounds promising!!

startoftheroad only tips I have for you are to try and walk for 30mins a day & to cut down on the stodgy carbs - esp after 6:30 at night. When i was trying to loose weight a few years ago I hid all the large dinner plates and just used the smaller ones for portion control. I also made sure i was getting 8 hours sleep a night, was told that was very important...not sure why but it definitely helped! Hope that helps! i also gave myself a treat day once a week so i didnt crave anything and had something to look forward to.

Anyone got any exciting plans for the weekend?

Franykins Mon 11-Feb-13 12:18:53

Hi all, hope you all had a good weekend.

startoftheroad I've joined weight watchers and find it so easy to do and follow. I've lost 2 stone in a year. I could have done it quicker but had several weddings and big birthdays this year, including my own, so I had a few breaks from it. However, over the last 16 weeks I've lost over 1 stone and 3" from my waist smile I didn't start this with TTC in mind just wanted to lose the weight I've put on since being with my DP.

Thanks for the info on preseed smile think I'll leave for now but may be tempted if things take too long.

On a good note for my I have noticed a difference in my discharge this week (sorry if TMI) so I'm hoping that my cycle will stay the same as when I was on the pill and this is my fertile week. From what I've read about discharge then this is defo the case smile Lots of DTD coming up!

hoping2beamum thanks very much xxx i feel like a heffer atm and want to be in the best shape possible before i embark on this journey - been making lunch and bringing to work so not tempted to eat crap x i am going to aim to do an ecercise dvd 2 / 3times per week - i generally walk down the town at lunch which is approx 30 mins there and back (add in some shops) grin

Franykins wow well done you !!! that s great and i hope your cycle comes round as expected ... mine was a nice short 5 days (which is a miracle for me) so back on the road to the next one !! good luck xx

Hiya! Sorry I disappeared for a while. Rubbish cold!!

Since I started having 'normal' periods after finishing the pill they have been shorter, less painful and lighter than before! A result for me!

I have also been trying to get fit. I have cut down completely on alcohol and I have started using the 'get running' app on my iphone. Really good although I need to start again after I get over this cold. Charlie Brooker has praised this particular app for people who aren't used to running and I have to say I agree although I do also think he is a God and am privileged to share a birthday with him!!

Possibly due to ovulate this week but husband is away and then I am working nights so I don't think this is going to be the month for me. Loving following all your stories though so please keep posting. Would love us all to have BFPs!

Hey everyone!

Been a bit quiet here. Oh is home and got a high in Cbfm

Also been in excruciating pain this cycle again aswell as some dtd pain sad . Day off tomorrow so hoping to get an emergency appointment and try and get referred to a gynae finally

Because of this oh is talking about booking a date in the winter for us to get married, as a way of stopping my worrying about the possible endo and something to look forward to and maybe just seeing what happens on the TTC front at least until tests confirm things one way or another.

Not decided whether I can forget the broody feelings yet so dunno what I'm gonna do. Major breakdown over a glass of wine with my friends was annoy awkward last night lol!

How are you all getting on?

londonchick Mon 11-Feb-13 22:11:26

Hopefully it is all quiet because everyone is busy :-)

setay I would say go for it! Plan a wedding! Nothing better than a distraction when you're trying to get pregnant I reckon! I think that is partly my problem. I don't have anything to distract me!

hoping2beamum Wed 13-Feb-13 11:28:44

Hows everyone doing? it has gone very quiet on here since last week...anybody got any news? grin

setay planning the wedding sounds like a fabulous idea & way of staying busy!! Nothing keeps you busier than planning your own wedding!!
Did you manage to get your referal for the gynae? sorry to hear you're in pain. Hope they can sort something out for you at the docs/gynae's. I can offer lots of chocolates & tea if that helps.

cd12 today & no high yet but DH very stressed with work so im a bit worried about his swimmers this month. I have read that stress can seriously affect them. might have to try & get him to agree to dtd in the mornings....--slim chance of that happening--

londonchick that app is brlliant isnt it! glad to hear you are over your cold. Hope you manage to find sometime together this week for dtd x

setayharas Wed 13-Feb-13 11:38:43

Hey hoping

Nah no referral couldn't get any cancellation appointments until next week so holding out! Thanks for the Chocs tho! Don't mind if I do!
Im still waiting for my peak on the monitor it's taking forever, getting bucket loads of Ewcm the last couple of days so better start dtd (iv been so lazy this month)

Good luck with the morning hanky panky last time I tried that oh fell asleep haha not the best feeling when I'm trying my hardest to e sexy and he's snoring lol

Guess we are all around the same cycle on here, so about to start the mental tww when we all turn psycho!

Franykins Thu 14-Feb-13 15:51:40

Happy Valentines day ladies smile

Just looking for a bit of advice. If my cycle reverts straight to a 28 day cycle after coming off the pill then I was do to OV tomorrow. However, last night I woke up with slight stomach cramps, not as bad as AF pains but s similar feeling. Then I think I felt some kinds of pop on my left side. Now I've read somewhere that some women feel a pop when they OV. Has anyone else experienced this? DP and I haven't dtd this week blush but i'm hoping we do tonight haha. Is this gonna be too late if I did indeed OV during the night? So new to all this ttc lol.

Hope you all have a lovely day/night xxx

hoping2beamum Fri 15-Feb-13 11:16:54

Morning ladies, hope you all had a lovely Valentines day!!

setay hope you get that referral next week, must be terribly frustrating for you!

franykins are you using ovulation test sticks? I can feel slight twinges when i'm ovulating but i've never felt a pop. the egg can stay around for up to 24 after ovulation so i'd be jumping on dp as soon as he walks through the front door tonight!! fingers crossed you catch it!

is anyone else taking vitamin b6? I ran out of pregnacare conception on Monday but had a box of folic acid and another of b6 so started taking both on Tuesday. both are in the pregnacare conception & i was told by my consultant that B6 is great for conceiving. I am currently cd14, for the past 8 months I have always ovulated on cd14, the monitor is always at its peak cd14, no peak. Ive tried to do some research on whether or not b6 delays ovulation but cannot find a straight answer!! anyone else experience this?

gillian1986 Fri 15-Feb-13 12:10:02

Hello lovelies! Please let me join too smile

I'm 26 and my husband is 30. We got married in December 2012 and we are now TTC!

I came off the pill (yasmin) after 10 years in December, had my usual withdrawal bleed and had my first true period on 25th jan.

Hard to know exactly when I'm ovulating etc but dtd when I think I was ovulating and now already hoping I'm pregnant already... I know I know... It can take a long time but still.. Keeping fingers crossed!

AF due this time next week-ish.. Difficult to know for sure as I haven't had enough cycles yet to know if I'm regular.

IF AF comes next week, we will be dtd a lot in march wink

Would love a November/December baby! Hehe smile

gillian1986 Fri 15-Feb-13 12:14:18

Also my local boots didn't have pregnacare conception so I'm taking the superdrugs own equivalent.

Ever since I THINK I was ovulating and dtd, I've been having stomach cramps and bloating.. On and off for about a week now! AF not due for a week or so... Wondering if this could be a sign!!!!!

hoping2beamum Sun 17-Feb-13 15:05:38

Hi Gillian!! <waves> fingers crossed for you!! when are you due to test?

Hows everyone else doing?

Usually i'd be a day into the horrendous tww now & slowly becoming psycho but I am going mad as i'm two days late now for ovulation!! Bloody Vitamin B6!! was only taking it for 4 days!! i wish it was the tww, at least i'd know that i had ovulated!! Dh pretty irritated by it too as he's usually off the hook for dtd by now, poor man has to keep going!!

Hope you all had a good weekend. x

setayharas Thu 21-Feb-13 10:33:43

hey everyone. had a bit of a break off here. just thought id update. finally been referred and on the waiting list for a lap.

so for the time being we are organising our wedding for next april and concentrating on that and not making a baby. atleast until we know the situation with my insides.

so il shall be taking a break from here for a lil while. good luck to you all and i hope that the next time i visit this site i dont see any of you still on here

(may have a lil sneaky look at whats happening in the mean time tho)

Franykins Thu 21-Feb-13 16:53:37

setayharas Hope they don't keep you waiting for too long and work outs what's going on soon. Good luck with the wedding preparations smile

I am currently in the middle of my first ever 2ww! Need less to say I've decided I am pregnant lol even if the odds are against me smile I'm going to be testing on the 1st, the day my AF is due. I know this is very early but I'm due to be going out for a friends birthday so want to know either way if possible. Not gonna beat myself up if its a BFN as it's only my first month off the pill, but who knows smile

Hope everyone else is doing well x
