Thought I'd start a new thread as we got to 1000!

Hope people find it and sign in!

EddieIzzardIsMine Thu 16-Aug-12 09:59:05

Oooh Winter, just read your last post...sounds possible! FX

I managed to get a water infection right over OV time this month so dtd has right off the agenda!

Hows everyone else? (hope they manage to come over here!)

WinterLover Thu 16-Aug-12 12:34:36

Im not getting my hopes up, it did the same again this morning. So im thinking evap line. No AF symptoms yet though hmm AF meant to be here today... This is all new to me as DS was a bit of a suprise grin

Oh no sad water infection doesnt sound good. FX for next month x

WinterLover Thu 16-Aug-12 12:38:20

Oh the only other thing im feeling is a sharp pain near right ovary familliar pain to when I had a cyst just before finding out I was pregnant). It ended up in an overnight stay in hospital and lots of scans of DS.

WinterLover Thu 16-Aug-12 20:52:31

bumping to the top of the list so it can be found by the others grin

littlestgirlguide Fri 17-Aug-12 18:06:22

I'm here! And I had my Implanon out this morning so I am officially ttc now! Wish me luck!

WinterLover Fri 17-Aug-12 19:25:01

Yay grin good luck. I'm out for this month sad

EddieIzzardIsMine Fri 17-Aug-12 19:50:01

<waves to littlest> Beginning to think people werent going to come over!

Good luck!

Sorry Winter, how you feeling? Doing something nice this weekend, take yor mind off it?

Looks like we're all on for next month then (on second course of anti-biotics for damn water infection now so definately not happening this month either!)

WinterLover Sat 18-Aug-12 15:49:31

Hmmm how am I feeling?? I cried yesterday. DP said oh sad but that means DS WILL need lots of early nights lol

Oh no has it still not gone?

Cocochops Sat 18-Aug-12 16:18:03

Hi all just marking my place.

Still feeling a bit anxious as its early days and have now ended up telling my parents and sister due to the wedding situation which I am a bit superstitious about. I am off on holiday next week with friends so will end up telling them too. I think not drinking for a whole week on holiday may be a bit hard to explain! Didn't tell anyone last time till the scan.

Think I am about 5/6 weeks the 12 week milestone feels ages away.

Fingers crossed for next month winter and Eddie (Sorry to lazy to check back to the last thread for everyone else!)

PurpleDana Sun 19-Aug-12 08:26:39

:-( period started this morning :-(
I go on holiday tomoro, and unlike coco I AM going to be drinking!!

PurpleDana Sun 19-Aug-12 08:30:22

Oh and good luck to u littlestgirlguide x

jessiethecowgirl Sun 19-Aug-12 08:32:38

Hi ladies! Just wanted to pop in and say hi on this shiny new thread! I was on the old thread in June, got my BFP but then mc in July. Well guess what, I just got another BFP this week, and am so elated, although equally as nervous in case of another mc.. Trying to stay positive though!

Good luck to all with their BFPs. This thread is really lucky!

Grannyapple Mon 20-Aug-12 12:09:43

Hi ladies...just marking my place so that I don't lose you again grin.

Off work this week & DS in nursery so hoping I'll be able to relax a prep for the JSing later this week wink. DH is also off at the end of the week so we're planning on spending the day together, with a nice bit of lunch somewhere posh in town etc..

Congrats jessie on the BFP...

littlestgirlguide Mon 20-Aug-12 14:26:29

Arghh I've been on depo and the implant so long I'd forgotten how much I hate AF! Had the implant out on Friday and immediately started really vile, heavy one. Only had 1 period since getting the implant though, so does this mean body is returning to normal?

NoTeaForMe Tue 21-Aug-12 10:23:10

Can I join you? I'm TTC#2. Have a 22 month old daughter. Started a thread this morning about understanding fertile times properly!

jessiethecowgirl Tue 21-Aug-12 12:45:23

grr am officially back on the thread for 3rd time after another early mc. Fingers crossed 3rd time lucky! Good luck to all!

EddieIzzardIsMine Tue 21-Aug-12 15:01:56

Oh Jessi, am so sorry, had really hoped you were going to be ok this time, take care of yourself the next few days, is someone with you?
(I'll even break protocol and give a quick <<hug>>)

littlest - according to the nhs, your fertility will return straight away but your cycle maybe all over the place for up to 12 months (so knowing when your fertile might be the problem)
Good idea to have a few periods before bfp too apparently, helps with dating and stuff

Granny - hiya, glad you found us! Have a lovely end of the week ;)
Fx for you!

Coco - I know, it feels so slow waiting for 12 weeks doesnt it? How are you feeling?

NoTea - Hiya, hope this is a lucky thread for you! What did you ask, maybe we can help?

Am off anti-biotics now but think I've missed OV, well if I am ovulating at all (only one ovary now and apparently thats dodgy too!) so had bloods on Friday to check progesterone levels and doctors appointment to discuss it on Thursday so fx

NoTeaForMe Tue 21-Aug-12 19:33:00

Thanks Eddie , I asked -

"We are TTC our second child now (daughter is 22 months) I've got the ovulation sticks which I've started using today. Am I right in thinking that I'm actually fertile for around 5 days before I'm ovulating?!

I'm presuming that having sex doesn't affect the result on the ovulation sticks? Not really sure what the LH surge is!!"

EddieIzzardIsMine Wed 22-Aug-12 09:17:37

Ok - as sperm can (under the right conditions) live inside you for up to 5 days, then yes you could get pregnant from 5 days prior to ovulation but obviously having sex close to and over ovulation increases these chances

The LH surge is luteinizing hormone and a high sudden rise triggers a release of an egg/ovulation, so when you get a positive on a ovulation stick its showing a rise in LH indicating your body is getting ready to ovulate in the next 24/48 hours(ish) so get shagging!

No, having sex wont affect the ovulation sticks so go for it!

Hope that helps

NoTeaForMe Wed 22-Aug-12 15:43:00

Thanks! I thought that was right! The thought of sperm living inside me is <boak> though!

My cycle is anywhere between 26-32 days long so we're having sex a lot at the moment not that I'm complaining! Doing the ovulation sticks too to keep an eye in it and make sure we have sex extra then! Also once that's happened we could possibly have a break!! Phew!

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot Wed 22-Aug-12 15:45:53

Hi everyone.. so sorry Jessie.. hope your ok..

NoTeaForMe Wed 22-Aug-12 17:07:33

How important is it to do the ov sticks at the same time of day?

So sorry to hear your sad news Jessie only just read the actual thread!

SparklyUniMummy Wed 22-Aug-12 19:14:28

Can I join? We are officially TTC number 2 now!

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot Wed 22-Aug-12 19:17:09

I think the best time is about 2 for the ov sticks. As the surge lasts about 24/36 hours ish I think it's just to not leave longer than 24 hrs between tests iyswim..

littlestgirlguide Wed 22-Aug-12 21:13:54

Aw Jessie I'm sorry :-(

DanyTargaryen Wed 22-Aug-12 21:19:44

Hi signing in, have resumed ttc properly in the last fortnight with lots of shagging dtd. I had my first proper period last month since MC in June. Doing the 2WW now and it is driving me mad plus my boobs are hurting tonight but feel like my body is probably just playing tricks on me (have been dtd since got back from hol on the 11th)

DanyTargaryen Thu 23-Aug-12 15:12:43

Hope i didn't kill the thread.

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot Thu 23-Aug-12 15:17:32

I`ll stop the thread kill!

How are you feeling? Still getting boob alert?

DanyTargaryen Thu 23-Aug-12 18:24:08

Not so much today, must be tricks. sad

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot Thu 23-Aug-12 18:27:16

Boobs is one of my big ones, so hot you could fry an egg on..

DanyTargaryen Thu 23-Aug-12 18:30:54

Mine do feel hot, but I don't tend to feel them often really :S Boobs have started hurting now again though. Only a bit though.

This is going to kill me waiting till at least the 28th if AF doesn't show up before then.

Can vent here though right? sad

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot Thu 23-Aug-12 18:32:50

God yes vent away! Not tooo long to wait now is it?

Is the 28th your period due date?

Hi ladies. Can I join in as well? I have a 17mo DD and came off the pill over a month ago. So officially started ttc again. Already having AF at the moment. Can't wait till cycle 2.

Last time I didn't chart or read up on the cycle. We just dtd a lot. But with a LO that wakes up very early everyday, I'm trying to be a bit more organised. (I know how unromantic). I read all the pages on MN on conception, downloaded a charting app on the phone. I have taking my temp first thing in the morning for about 2 weeks now. Hopefully I can work out my ovulation day.

danytargaryen all the best. Maybe you will be the first graduate of this thread!

DanyTargaryen Thu 23-Aug-12 19:40:59

Yeah Pickles am due on 28th.

DanyTargaryen Thu 23-Aug-12 19:41:14

Thank you One

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot Thu 23-Aug-12 19:43:52

Are you holding out to test? I'm a crazy early tester..

<waves> Another new joiner (if you'll have me, am on the Just Shaggin thread too).
DS is 8months & we've been trying since 6wk checkup for #2.
OneLittle, I'm edging towards doing all the charting stuff, we just DTD lots to get DS but since him my cycle is all over the place, hope you get sorted soon!!

jessie & Dany, very sorry to read of your losses. Hope you don't have to hang around here too long. (un-MN hugs)

DanyTargaryen Thu 23-Aug-12 21:04:21

I'm holding off POAS yes, I tested early last time and I think well look what happened there, I got all excited then got kicked off my feet (sorry). Going to keep posting on this thread so you lovely ladies can distract me from running to the chemist till at least the 27th grin

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot Thu 23-Aug-12 21:05:52

Yes, it is better to hold out I think.

DanyTargaryen Sat 25-Aug-12 10:29:05

Well I've failed at that!

Grannyapple Sat 25-Aug-12 19:22:22

Ooh dany well, what was the result?

Been at like bunnies here the past few days...hoping this is the month for us, tho won't be on the 2ww til end of next week so plenty of time yet grin

DanyTargaryen Sat 25-Aug-12 19:36:23

BFP but I'm refusing to allow myself to get my hopes up.

littlestgirlguide Sat 25-Aug-12 19:50:52

Well, keeping my fingers crossed for you dany.... Not a whole lot been happening here sadly, not getting my hopes up!

Grannyapple Sat 25-Aug-12 19:54:54

Wow, dany....tentative congrats smile

Longo Sun 26-Aug-12 08:57:03

Can i join? Been ttc #2 for three months now, am waiting to test on on Friday when AF is due. Feeling anxious as #1 happened first time round, but guess we were just lucky!

posypotato Sun 26-Aug-12 09:18:20

Hello everyone, I haven't been on for a while but have just seen there is a new thread so checking in! I am now on my first proper post-mc cycle. Anyone else due a BFP (not AF!) in mid September?

EddieIzzardIsMine Sun 26-Aug-12 20:51:29

Well another fucked up cycle ended, was due AF on Tuesday and came on today- didnt expect bfp due to having that water infection and barely dtd really but even so....

Had bloods done last week, appointment to discuss if there is anything/what there is wrong next week (Wed I think)

Fucked off, crampy, tired and emotional...bored of being defective now

Hope everyone else is alright

Nightwish Mon 27-Aug-12 09:21:22

Please can I join.

Just stopped my pill in the hope to TTC DC2, DS is 3.
I don't intend to start planning, just see how it goes.

PurpleDana Mon 27-Aug-12 10:29:25

Yeah Posypotato, I'm due mid sept. (just before hubby's bday).
Sorry to be a pain but can someone explain all the abbreviations to me? Im guessing alot of them but do get confused! Lol.
Thank u :-)

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot Mon 27-Aug-12 16:25:04

dany Congratulations! Hope all goes well.

Longo Tue 28-Aug-12 07:15:08

Think I'm about to get AF three days early, tummy is cramping (sad) why isn't this happening!?

WinterLover Tue 28-Aug-12 07:28:04

posy I'm due BFP mid sept grin it's our week to start shagging grin although in starting to wonder how I'll cope with 2 babies, 2 dogs, and a moody DP oh and a DSD at weekends!

NoTeaForMe Thu 30-Aug-12 08:17:46

Purple I'm getting confused with all the abbreviations too...can anyone help?!

How is everyone?

EddieIzzardIsMine Thu 30-Aug-12 08:29:38

AF - 'Aunt Flo'/Period
POAS - Pee On A Stick/Take a pregnancy test
BFN/BFP - Big Fat Negative/Big Fat Positive
OPK - Ovulation Predictor Kits
OV - Ovulation

Any others?

EddieIzzardIsMine Thu 30-Aug-12 08:31:30

So went to the doctors and got the results of my bloods, progesterone is apparently normal but cycle still all over the place...

Coming to the end of af now so shagging will start in earnest in a few days....

Hows everyone else?

NoTeaForMe Thu 30-Aug-12 08:44:04

What's ewcm? (at least I think that's what it was!) I'm presuming that 2ww is the 2 week wait after shagging before knowing if you're pregnant or not? There were some others but can't remember now!

I had a smiley face on my OPK (!) on Monday had been having a lot of sex in the run up and am planning on having sex til the end of the week just in case! My cycle is anywhere between 26-32 days so the longer I have sex the less of a wait at the other to end to see if I'm pregnant! Does that make sense?!

DanyTargaryen Thu 30-Aug-12 19:51:30

POAS again today, in comparison to the one I did few days back which was a very faint pos, today it was a matter of seconds before the line made an appearance, and ended up really quite a strong line.

Last time (the MC) all the tests I did were massively faint, as in me and DP had to stand under the light with them.

No mistaking this one though, I'm getting cautiously excited but still find myself just waiting for the rug to be ripped out from under my feet.

DanyTargaryen Thu 30-Aug-12 19:52:00

NoTea, ewcm is cervical mucus

EddieIzzardIsMine Thu 30-Aug-12 19:56:33

EWCM - 'egg white' cervical mucus (nice!) The gloopy clear kind you get when you're ovulating

And yea, 2ww is the '2 week wait' between ov and af

Dany looks good, fx

littlestgirlguide Fri 31-Aug-12 09:57:23

FFS. If I'd known having the nexplanon out would cause this much hassle I would never have had it put in. Think AF is starting again - third time in less than six weeks. How long does it take to get back to normal?!!

Congrats to Dany tho, looking good!

NoTeaForMe Fri 31-Aug-12 10:08:57

Are you ready for another stupid question from me?!

The LH surge that the OPK monitors...does that happen just before ovulation or as you ovulate or what? If the kit showed the surge on Monday when was I likely to ovulate? I felt a bit funny the couple of days before the kit showed up too!

EddieIzzardIsMine Fri 31-Aug-12 10:41:07

NoTea no question is stupid! If you get a positive on an opk (so a surge of LH) then generally ovulation will happen within about 24-48 hours after (but obviously everyone is different) so if doing the SMEP get shagging on the day you get a positive and for the next 2 consecutive days then miss a day and do the day after that...

So a positive on Monday (presuming afternoon) means you could have ovulated anywhere between late on Monday to early on Thursday, yea?

NoTeaForMe Fri 31-Aug-12 11:00:14

SMEP? What's that?!

I got a smiley face on Monday morning. We had sex Monday afternoon and tuesday night. We didn't on Wed but did Thurs. Should we carry on every other night or is our chance over now?

EddieIzzardIsMine Fri 31-Aug-12 11:25:28

NoTea sorry! SMEP is 'Sperm Meets Egg Plan', a plan some people follow as its (apparently) got quite good success rates, it was on the other thread but the basics are:

- Dtd every other night starting Day 8

- Begin ovulation testing on Day 10

- When test is positive, "try" that night, plus two additional nights in a row

- Skip one night, then do one last "try"

- If your ovulation test never goes positive, continue "trying" every other night until Day 35, then do a pregnancy test if your period has not begun.

- For shorter cycles just take off a few days and for longer cycles just add on the right amount of days so for example a 30 day cycle start dtd every other night from day ten and ov testing from day 12

I'd give it one last go tonight, you never know..when did you last dtd before Monday as there may have been sperm hanging around from then that would've done the job too?

lj123 Fri 31-Aug-12 11:38:07

Sorry for all you guys losses sad
I recently ha my 3rd mc.
Decided rather than lets see why happens approach.
Myself and my partner have agreed to trying properly!
I have aspirin at the ready and mum to be vitamins ready to go!
Af due in 5days.
Awaiting ovulation strips to arrive.
Fingers crossed we will all be happy in a few months grin xx

NoTeaForMe Fri 31-Aug-12 12:27:40

Eddie thanks for that! It's really helpful, obviously hoping that it works this month and I can forget all about it!

We were dtd (presuming that's doing/did/do the deed) quite regularly in the run up, pretty much every night really, we missed one night over the weekend but I'm not sure which and we didn't on the previous Wed but I'm guessing that's too early to count now anyway! OK, so we will tonight aswell and then it's the dreaded waiting...

I can't help but get my hope up, am reading into everything far too much, I felt quite queasy last night but I know it's too early to mean anything! Ridiculous!

littlestgirlguide Fri 31-Aug-12 19:25:10

Ok, bear with me here. There will be TMI, sorry! This morning I thought AF was on her way, pinkish discharge and very slight cramping... Followed by a small amount of brown blood, and since lunchtime, nothing at all. Now, I had AF at the beginning of August, then had implant taken out mid month, immediately followed by another short AF. Signs of ovulation (Ewcm) 9 days ago, dtd at that time, now this....
Now, I am fully aware that I am probably imagining things, I just need some sensible, level-headed mumsnetters to tell me so!

enjolraslove Fri 31-Aug-12 22:11:00

Hi all. Can I join you? Ttc number 2 for about 8 months now. Really going for it this month (am on holiday!)! Pretty sure I ovulated yesterday, just dtd - did we leave it too late? We had been dtd every day up till weds then had 2 days off- am kicking myself now!!

EddieIzzardIsMine Sat 01-Sep-12 13:58:46

NoTea how did you get on? Feeling ok today?

littlest not sure there is a thing as tmi on this thread anymore! Could be implantation, fx for you. When is AF due?

enjo Hi! Newbies always welcome! Have you got a DD or DS already then?
Theres a good chance you'll still have a decent chance this month - remember sperm can live for up to 5 days so you'll have some left from all the times you dtd before OV and then eggs can live for around 24 hours so you still could have caught it when you dtd on Friday too...fx crossed for you too, we're at about 8 months trying now too

littlestgirlguide Sat 01-Sep-12 18:30:18

I have no idea when AF is due; all totally messed up due to coming off the implant. Bleeding started again this morning, now stopped again.. Nothing like a normal AF, an not even like the ones I've had since the implant came out....
POAS today (had an old one in the cupboard) BFN of course, which I was expecting, it's too soon really. I think it's just the bleeding, coupled with constipation (sorry!), knackeredness and generally just wanting to be pregnant that's messing with my head.

NoTeaForMe Sat 01-Sep-12 19:26:45

Thanks Eddie I feel ok, have a cold and feel run down so that's a bit rubbish!

I'm due on anytime from Saturday next week, (that would be a 26 day cycle and I'm anywhere from 26-32 normally!) if my OPK showed up on Monday morning how many days past ovulation would that make me now? I know that's a stupid question by the way...!

NoTeaForMe Sat 01-Sep-12 19:27:30

Hit post too soon!

How's everyone else? Where abouts in the cycle are you?

EddieIzzardIsOrange Sun 02-Sep-12 08:41:09

Just off AF so need to start shagging...keep having a re-occuring dream though where I have a baby and look at the calendar and its June 5th so this month would be good timing to fit in with that! Probably bollocks though...

PurpleDana Sun 02-Sep-12 10:25:29

In the middle of ov week and I blooming nicked myself shaving last night so too sore to dtd!!!! Grrrrr.... Didn't dtd thurs so kicking myself doubly now!
Af due around 16th sept

PurpleDana Sun 02-Sep-12 10:27:14

Oops meant didn't dtd Friday not thurs

enjolraslove Sun 02-Sep-12 20:50:29

Thanks Eddie (though he might be mine!!). Yes dd is 3. It was this time of year when dd was conceived so I am feeling like it is lucky! Fx for everyone.

NoTeaForMe Sun 02-Sep-12 21:17:27

Oh my god it's so hard to not read into everything!!!

Somehow this threa has dropped off the threads I'm on!

littlelest don't read too much into it. It's probably the implant after effect.

dany congrats.

I am not having a very good cycle 2 at all. I am currently in my fertile window. But DH injured himself so aren't interested in DTD. So I guess we will have to wait another month. It's sometimes frustrating now that I know how to look at CM and predict ovulation. When TTC #1 I didn't know a thing and it's better that way in the sense I wouldnt know I have missed the window of opportunity.

I'm going to order some preseed too. Just learned that regular lube is bad for ttc. At least I will have that ready for cycle 3.

purple at least you can still dtd grin. If you manage a bfp this cycle it will be a good story to tell DH isn't that interested in ttc so I can't force him to perform when he's too tired or sore sad.

Oh sorry you mean you can't dtd. sad I hate it on the phone when you can see the OP when replying. I sometimes write like I'm not sober!

PurpleDana Tue 04-Sep-12 08:27:04

Ha ha. Yes one I meant we can't dtd cos I cut myself. But we managed a tentative session last night ;-)
My hubby has a very high sex drive so it's not very often he says no!

WinterLover Tue 04-Sep-12 16:16:58

I'm totally out this month. Haven't DTD since AF... It's due again in a week. The twat I call DP has been falling asleep on sofa till 3am so no DTD sad grumpy doesn't come close!!

I WANT A BABY!! Lol grin although watching DS putting paint tester pots in my washer makes me wonder how I'd manage 2!

Can completely sympathize winterlover. Am in same boat but for different reasons!

NoTeaForMe Tue 04-Sep-12 19:09:30

Winterlover I've been wondering the same, my daughter has been in a foul mood these last couple of days and I must admit I've wondered why I want another one anyway!

WinterLover Tue 04-Sep-12 22:56:32

onelittle DPs still recovering from knee op last month (second in less than a year). He's in a lot of pain do I know DTD isn't easy for him.

notea I cried today, DS is starting to favour DP over me. Not suprised since I do the parent thing the DP plays fun dad angry

NoTeaForMe Wed 05-Sep-12 08:55:28

Winter how old is your son? I went through that with my daughter, and although she's still a Daddy's girl she is definitely heaps better now. It was almost as if she didn't care if I was there or not and only wanted her Daddy. Now she clearly loves me very much and tells me she loves me much more than she tells him! Anyway my point is it does pass and you'll be back in favour soon!

PurpleDana Wed 05-Sep-12 20:12:21

My son went thru alternating who was his favourite person when he was 2/3yrs - me, my dad, my mum, my brother, even my parents dog! (his dad wasn't around). I think it's a completely natural thing.

littlestgirlguide Wed 05-Sep-12 21:05:42

Getting hugely fwd up with AF now. Stopped today so maybe I will get a few days off before it all starts again. If I'm bleeding every other week, surely I can't even be ovulating? What should I do, ladies - just put up with it and hope it gets better? It hasn't really been that last in the grand scheme of things but 3 periods in one months is stupid!

littlestgirlguide Wed 05-Sep-12 21:07:52

Winter - my daughter has started telling me I'm Not her best fwend if I tell her no - and my DH gets tired of hearing nooooo mummy do it! All the time. Think it's something they all go through.

littlestgirlguide Thu 06-Sep-12 20:38:25

Been to the docs about stupid bleeding. Says there is blood and protein in my wee, tummy is tender on left side, and I shouldn't be bleeding so much, have got appt for internal exam and antibiotics, she made a fuss about them being pregnancy safe antibiotics and says BFN doesn't mean I'm not pg? What? More confused now than I was before I went!

PurpleDana Fri 07-Sep-12 17:45:59

Aww littlest Sorry to hear that, what a pain!

EddieIzzardIsOrange Sat 08-Sep-12 10:21:25

littlest How confusing? Are you any clearer yet? Whens your appointment?

Hows everyone else going? Managing to get plently of shagging in or trying not to drive themselves crazy in the 2ww?

Am around OV time (tomorrow actually i think although cycles have been all over the shop recently so who knows) but not managing to dtd at all really, busy with work etc really must make an effort today!

littlestgirlguide Sat 08-Sep-12 11:08:16

I was starting to think I'd killed the thread!
Somebody give me some positive news!
Still tender tummy, not badly though, weeing loads more than normal, boobs also tender now, stopped bleeding (though last lot was nothing like a proper period), tired and headaches...... Now what does that sound like to you??!
But now tested 3 times, including once at the doctors, all BFN!
Am on holiday now at the seaside for the next week so not having appt till we get home, going to wait and see confused

Come on eddie time to get busy!

PurpleDana Sat 08-Sep-12 17:08:23

I'm in the middle of the 2ww hmm eddie

NoTeaForMe Sun 09-Sep-12 18:46:01

I'm coming to the end of the 2ww. Am 12dpo (I think!!) today and trying my best not to test until Tuesday evening if no AF by then!

katiecubs Sun 09-Sep-12 19:56:22

Hi we use My first word nursery - it's a small very homely place and we love it -

They have also just launched a pre-school too which may be good for your older son -

I hope you get the school allocation you want. I have worked at Goldstone and visited West Hove and they are both excellent IMO.

NoTeaForMe Mon 10-Sep-12 13:40:14

Think you may have posted in the wrong place katiecubs !

How's everyone doing?

littlestgirlguide Mon 10-Sep-12 18:22:42

Ok here nottea, dratted AF seems to having a breather for a bit while I'm away from home :-)
Still not tested then?

NoTeaForMe Mon 10-Sep-12 18:30:57

Haven't tested yet littlest, can't decide whether to do it tonight or tomorrow night. My OPK was positive 14days ago today so if I take it that means I ovulated the day after then I'm 13 dpo today, and I'm on day 28 of my cycle. (I'm normally somewhere between 26-32 days)

So today or tomorrow...?!

When's your doctors appointment littlest any more news?

littlestgirlguide Mon 10-Sep-12 20:27:59

First wee in the morning then, good luck!

Doctors appt isnt till a week on Friday, though fingers crossed everything has calmed down now, except massively sore, swollen boobs! My 3yo keeps throwing her head back on them, ouch!

NoTeaForMe Mon 10-Sep-12 20:32:06

Does it have to be the first wee of the morning? Regardless of the result my husband would like to be here and not be rushing out the door for work! Can I do it in the evening? Thanks

Glad things have calmed down Littlest though sore boobs with a head banging tooled doesn't sound nice. Hopefully you'll get some answers at your appointment.

littlestgirlguide Mon 10-Sep-12 20:38:30

It's just that the first wee in the morning is supposed to be more accurate for an earlier test as the hormones have built up overnight... I think it's more likely to give a false negative later one, when it's not so concentrated?

PurpleDana Mon 10-Sep-12 21:31:07

My AF is due at the wknd and my hubby has asked if we can test tonight when he gets home lol. He's desperately excited bless him. smile

NoTeaForMe Mon 10-Sep-12 22:14:48

I couldn't was a very clear BFP!!!!!!! Aaaaah!

littlestgirlguide Tue 11-Sep-12 10:25:38

Aaaaah! Congrats notea!!
Hopefully good luck will rub off on the rest of us!

NoTeaForMe Tue 11-Sep-12 11:08:18

Thanks littlest hopefully gods luck will rub off on all of you!

Now I guess I should leave this board!

katiecubs Tue 11-Sep-12 18:11:01

Oops sorry for the irrelevant post! Was just checking in on Eddie and everyone else - how you doing hun?

Congrats NoTea fab news!

All ok here - getting bumpy now smile

katiecubs Tue 11-Sep-12 18:13:40

Argh just to confuse even more It's Bazzle here with name change lol!

PurpleDana Tue 11-Sep-12 20:20:16

Wow notea fab news!!! Congratulations, I'm trying to refrain from testing, hubby keeps asking. I don't feel any different except really tired, prob due to work, so will expect a BFN :-(

Grannyapple Tue 11-Sep-12 22:21:50

Evening ladies! Huge congrats to notea & all the others with BFP'S!

Almost at end of 2ww here..AF due fri this week but will test on Saturday if no sign as out with friends in sat eve..want to know how much lovely wine I can have wink. But don't feel any different tbh so don't think this is our month either sad.

HariboZo Wed 12-Sep-12 23:38:20

Evening ladies, can I join you smile

Hubby and are ttc#2 we have a 23 month DS and have been npnt for several months, we decided to concentrate on it more this month. Last month was only a 24 day cycle, the previous was 26.

EWCM on cd 11 and 12, dtd on cd 8, 10, 12 and 15 - missed 13 and 14 due to cystitis. Got what felt like ov pains on cd 15 but that didn't tie in with cm or previous cycle length

For the last 2 days I have had small little sharp stabby pains in my abdomen mostly on the left side, in fact I have a very slight dull ache there now. No other symptoms apart from eating like a horse today and both yesterday and today I've wanted to chew gum all day to stop myself eating. Prob not a symptom - I'm just a greedy mare!

Desperate to POAS but trying to resist the urge, today was cd 19 and according to my calculations 7dpo. Going away on Saturday with friends and tempted to test before we go.

Oh - for those worried about drinking (or not and being obvious at functions) my midwife friend said that until 8 weeks embryo isn't taking anything from mum so a small glass of wine etc shouldn't be a problem - critical non drink weeks are 8-12 when spine and brain are forming (think it's those bits anyway) x

littlestgirlguide Thu 13-Sep-12 10:07:48

Welcome, haribozo!!

WinterLover Thu 13-Sep-12 22:48:48

Welcome to anyone just joining and congrats to BFP's grin

Flipping fed up, no DTD this past cycle due to DPs painful knees, af due tomoro but nothing. Doubt we'll DTD next cycle due to DP having an accident and now he has a hole in his finger, when I say hole it goes in one side, through his finger and out the other. sad

PurpleDana Fri 14-Sep-12 07:49:48

Aww winter not much luck for u at the mo!
My AF due tomoro, no sign yet but did give in to hubby a few days ago and tested. Got a BFN. Will test again Sunday if no sign of Af

EddieIzzardIsOrange Fri 14-Sep-12 09:15:29

Sorry Bazzle havent been posting on here for a few days (getting a bit fed up with it all) but am still reading, how are the Octuplets? Any horrible symptoms or you not doing so bad now?

Congrats NoTea! Hoping for a nice smooth pregnancy and lovely healthy little baby in about 81/2 months! (Thats 8 and a half not 81 or 82 months!)

Fx Dana not out yet!

Oh dear Winter hows he done that? Is ther anything you can do to look forward to and take your mind off it for the next 6 weeks or so if dtd just isnt going to happen? No doubt I'll see you next month too!

Granny I didnt feel any different either when it was the bfp month with ds (couldnt understand why pg women moaned about it being so hard until week 9 when morning sickness kicked in with a vengence!) A glass or 3 or wine isnt going to hurt though....getting to weekend now, any signs?

Haribo Welcome! reading your post it all sounds positive, you might not be on here too long! When is AF due/you thinking of testing?

I think my AF is next Sunday (23rd-ish) so just plodding along til then....tiny bit of good news though is that it was our anniversary on Wednesday and DP proposed!

Hope everyone else is doing ok?

littlestgirlguide Fri 14-Sep-12 10:59:27

Yay, Eddie, a wedding to plan as well! Depending on the length of the engagement, hoping for a cut little pageboy/flower girl to join the party!

Grannyapple Fri 14-Sep-12 17:51:41

Ooh huge congrats eddie on the engagement!! Thx for AF as yet so will test tomorrow if nothing happens tonight. Boobs have been a bit sore when lying on my front, had some lower back pain & have a bit of discharge today so thinking AF is defo on way (though I had a lot of discharge early on when pg with ds). Constantly tired too at the mo but that's prob more to do with running after ds.

Grannyapple Sat 15-Sep-12 19:11:44

Evening ladies. Well did a test 1st thing (cheapie sainsbury's one). Horizontal line appeared straight away, but half the vertical line only showed up...& after the 10 mi s, so think its a BFN. Still no AF but will leave it til Tuesday now. So will be hitting the vino tonight grin.

Hope everyone is having a nice relaxing w/e.

littlestgirlguide Sun 16-Sep-12 09:33:42

Any sign of AF Grannyapple?
Is half a line the same as a faint line? Bit strange that.

Grannyapple Sun 16-Sep-12 11:02:56

littlest no sign yet...googled stuff yesterday & apparently sainsbury's & blue dye tests are notorious for evap lines?! Was a bit faint too tho dh saw it too...think I will get some first response ones later

littlestgirlguide Sun 16-Sep-12 17:39:35

Ok - I feel like a proper whinger after all the fuss I made a few weeks back but - not bled since the 5th, followed by what seemed like Ewcm in the last couple of days, which would be exactly the right time if this was a proper cycle and I was actually ovulating, which I don't know if I am!.... So, this month ( assuming all is well and cycle has returned!) AF should be due around the 29th... Which, having dtd at the relevant times in the last few days, puts me at the beginning of the two week wait... Crossing my fingers that it's not a false hope and actually things are returning to normality, and I can go to the docs on Friday and tell them everything is ok ad I don't need horrid internal exam after all!

NB internal exam sounded just like a smear to me when she described it - if there is even a remote chance of being pregnant, is that a good idea?

Grannyapple Mon 17-Sep-12 09:11:55

Hi littlest..I have absolutely no idea, but think it would be ok? Just thinking that some people have transvaginal scans as their 1st scans etc, so must be similar (in that they check if cervix is closed)? Sorry if tmi.. But I'm sure if you ask (& honestly, it won't be a silly question...quite a reasonable one I would think), I'm sure doc will be able to advise/reassure you.

When is the doc appt? Good luck for it & hope it all goes well.

PurpleDana Mon 17-Sep-12 12:58:18

AF yesterday :-(
Back to the drawing board!

Grannyapple Mon 17-Sep-12 14:39:43

Aw, Sorry dana. Lots of wine & chocolate is in order me thinks..

I'm still convinced AF is coming here too despite being 4 days late...think I was spotting a bit last night but seems to have stopped now.

littlestgirlguide Mon 17-Sep-12 14:47:49

Aw, dana it's pants.

I spoke too soon; AF is back again.

Shall we share the wine, or a bottle each? wine

PurpleDana Tue 18-Sep-12 07:49:02

Let's share several bottles, doesn't sound as bad as a bottle each :-)

EddieIzzardIsOrange Tue 18-Sep-12 08:51:19

Dana and littlest - hope the wine has helped, bleeding crappy when AF shows up isnt it? Are you doing anything nice in the next few days, try and take your mind off it for a few hours? (As hard as that is, I know)

Littlest Have you seen anyone about this bleeding?

I'm due around this Sunday I think so we'll see...feel a bit bad actually, my friend from nct (our DS's are the same age so we see each other every week or 2) has just announced she's 8 weeks with her second DC and I found it really hard to say congratulations - I did obviously and asked lots of questions and acted really pleased for them etc (and I am) but I just felt a bit sad and jealous really, thats pathetic isnt it?! I really must get over myself

Hope everyone else is doing well, cracking on smile

Grannyapple Tue 18-Sep-12 10:46:25

Think I'll join u in that wine ladies...finally had a bit of proper AF this morning sad

At least can now move on to the next cycle.

EddieIzzardIsOrange Tue 18-Sep-12 10:50:19

Oh Granny I'm sorry, its shit isnt it?

wine all round

littlestgirlguide Tue 18-Sep-12 13:15:11

Doing anything nice in the next few days? Other than work, and looking forward to an internal exam/smear thingy on Friday, er no :-(
Bet they can't even do the exam thingy If I'm still bleeding. Just feel knackered all the time. Bet it's iron deficiency as lost so much blood. Bah.

PurpleDana Tue 18-Sep-12 14:35:04

Eddie I know how crappy u feel, when I was ttc 5yrs ago 2 of my cousins got caught and had girls (jealous), and my best friend got caught accidentally and had an abortion :-( I was so upset and angry with her cos I was jealous that I actually couldn't speak to her at all for nearly 2 months.
I am determined I won't let it get to me to that extent this time.

EddieIzzardIsOrange Tue 18-Sep-12 15:22:55

Littlest Is the scan to see why you're still bleeding? Please keep nagging everyone (medically!) about this, ask to see a consultant etc, this about of constant bleeding sounds awful and so draining...are you taking any iron tablets too?
Anyway you can crowbar anything nice in? Box of chocs, favourite dvd, hot interrupted bath with a trashy magazine? You sound like you could do with a treat

Dana I know, its just a crazy mental place you get to isnt it? Think they've been trying about the same amount of time we have and have had a miscarriage on the way so they've had it so rough and now a lovely healthy little baby will be a blessing so deserved for them and I dont begrudge them it for a second, am so pleased for them etc.....just wish I could be doing it too

Jojoba1986 Wed 19-Sep-12 02:08:46

Hello all! Can I join in? We started TTC DC2 this month - hoping for BFP in 9 days & counting! On the one hand I'm quite hopeful given that DS1 happened after the first month TTC but then again I almost feel like that was too easy so it's going to be harder this time...! That utterly ridiculous & irrational fear and the fact that we only managed to dtd once about 48hrs pre-o makes me doubtful that we'll get our BFP this month... But then I have been feeling like something's different over the last few days! Probably just wishful thinking!

littlestgirlguide Wed 19-Sep-12 12:44:54

Welcome, Jojoba, hope you can cheer us up, we're a miserable bunch at the moment!

Yes, Granny, nurse referred me for this test to try to find out the reason behind all the bleeding, hope they can answer it for me. It's awful today, really heavy and painful.

Is anyone not out for this month yet? Need some good news!

MadameJ Wed 19-Sep-12 13:58:11

Hello everybody, can I join too. We have being TTC DC2 for about 4 months now, I am completely clueless in regards to my cycles/ovalation etc as since I stopped BF it's being all other the placehmm
We conceived DD straight away. I am at the moment trying not to get too hung up on it but I was secretly hoping that it would be the same this time.

Grannyapple Wed 19-Sep-12 16:07:56

Welcome jojoba & madame!

Just heard from a friend in work...she's pg with no 2....2nd of my friends to announce their pg with no 2 in a few weeks..hoping it'll be me soon enough...

EddieIzzardIsOrange Thu 20-Sep-12 00:06:16

Welcome Jojoba and Madame! I promise we're not usually this depressive and whingy, just seems to have been a bad few days for some of us...lets hope you cheer us all up though with nice quick bfp's!

Granny fx chuck (while holding a 4-leaf clover in one hand, rabbits foot in the other, saluting every magpie, avoiding the black cats and wishing on birthday cake candles!)

Grannyapple Thu 20-Sep-12 12:22:56

Ah, cheers eddie...too kind. And same to everyone's to wishing us lots of luck for next cycle!!

How are things with you anyway? Started wedding planning yet??

Waiting on AF finishing up so can get back to JS-ing. I am also soo hungry today...roll on 1pm for lunch!

Kelly281 Thu 20-Sep-12 20:03:59

Hi everyone, can I join too? We've just started TTC #2 this month. DD was a lovely surprise, so this is the first time I've really had to think about fertility/cycles, I'm a bit confused still!

Hoping we won't be trying for too long, but from what I've been reading its not always as easy as the 1st!

EddieIzzardIsOrange Fri 21-Sep-12 09:13:51

Hi Kelly, lots of newbies atm (and us older posters still here, all whingy and jaded!)
How 'up to speed' are you with it all? Know your cycle length and approx day of ovulation etc?

Granny how you doing today?
We've set a 'kinda' date for the wedding - our anniversary in 2015 falls on a Saturday so we're thinking then, also DP is (hopefully, fx!) going to do another degree in a few weeks which is a 3 year commitment so it'll be after he's finished (and hopefully when we've had another baby so I can attempt to slim into a dress!)

AF due signs as yet....

Hows everyone else?

Kelly281 Fri 21-Sep-12 19:43:25

No not even that up to speed yet, I have an idea of my cycle length, but not exact dates. I need to remember to keep a note over the next couple of months to get a better idea.

Hope you get a BFP this month Eddie smile

littlestgirlguide Sat 22-Sep-12 21:44:42

Welcome to all our newbies - how are you all getting on?

Any sign of AF Eddie?

My test thingy yesterday was pretty unpleasant, inconclusive and messy. Now awaiting results, and have an appointment with gynae specialist on wednesday....

My sister in law has given me a load of ovulation test sticks today - 100 or so! - for future consideration, has anybody used them? Are they any good? Obviously can't use them ATM, but when issues are sorted, I may try them. See, staying positive! :-)

EddieIzzardIsOrange Sun 23-Sep-12 12:31:01

Kelly Yea, try and make a note of things like cycle length, if you get CM (cervical mucus - nice I know!) or ovulation pain, fx for you! Are you using OPKs (ovulation predictor kits)?

Littlest - I used them for a few months but never got a spike so went to the doctors and had bloods done to see if i was ovulationg (tests came back I was) and she said they just dont work for some people so I stopped. Apparently you're not to use FMU (mid-afternoon is best) and its got to be about that time every day. Hope they work for you and these problems go soon so you can crack on! Are they doin any tests etc for it?

AF due today and as of sign

PurpleDana Sun 23-Sep-12 17:21:23

fx Eddie
af finished but got a touch of thrush -again- which is frustrating us.
Does anyone else suffer with thrush alot, particularly following af?? Do you think it affects chances of conception?

EddieIzzardIsOrange Mon 24-Sep-12 19:12:09

Errmmm...I think I'm pregnant! Didnt get AF all day yesterday so poas first thing (at work!) and git a bfp! It was a clearblue one so no guessing, got a 'pregnant' and '2-3 weeks' so looks like (all being well) we're on for a baby!

Hope everyone else is ok? I'm gonna hang around here a bit if thats ok?

littlestgirlguide Mon 24-Sep-12 19:32:35

Yay! * Eddie*, really pleased for you!
Please do stay and share the love! :-)

Grannyapple Mon 24-Sep-12 21:14:59

Yay....congrats eddie!!

purple sorry no idea re: thrush...I only ever had it when pg....constantly! Almost brought on early labour at 30 weeks..was then pessary & cream pretty much constantly until DS arrived... & then he had oral thrush for a few days too...

PurpleDana Tue 25-Sep-12 19:36:27

:-O yay congratulations Eddie!!!!
Granny thanks, fills me with confidence if i ever get pg!! lol. aww poor baby too

magoosmom Wed 26-Sep-12 20:47:13

hi all, can I join you?!
Started ttc DC2 last cycle, got pregnant but unfortunately had a very early miscarriage. CD8 today so starting all over again tonight wink. Im nervous now because we got pregnant straight away with DS and never had to worry about anything. FX for everyone this month !

PurpleDana Thu 27-Sep-12 13:20:51

its jiggy jiggy week again!
good luck everyone on a similar cycle to me, and also to everyone else too.

katiecubs Thu 27-Sep-12 13:46:26

Ahhhh Eddie!! congrats super news!!

Just back of me hols and thought i would drop in and check how you were getting on, super glad i did grin

All good here thanks - 20 weeks tomorrow and getting lots of kicks! x

katiecubs Thu 27-Sep-12 13:47:37

AKA Bazzle ;)

EddieIzzardIsOrange Fri 28-Sep-12 13:31:06

Hi Bazzle, good holiday? How are the octs? Are you going to find out gender of them all at your 20 weeks?

Hi to everyone else, hows it going?

I am so so unbelieveably tired! Only 4 weeks (4+5 today) so still so early and I feel drained! I can barely string a sentance together or finish a train of thought...and I had to tell my boss as it looked a little like I had an alcohol problem as I was propping myself up everywhere and slurring!

katiecubs Fri 28-Sep-12 13:58:11

Super holiday thanks and amazing weather - DS loved it and keeps asking for 'swimming pool mummy' now we are home!

Octs or rather just the 1! are fine. Scan next week and not finding out the gender no - i love a suprise although i really feel it's a boy.

Sympathies with the tiredness, hope the sickness stays at bay for you x

Lionsntigersnbears Fri 28-Sep-12 14:24:25

Hi everyone,

Can I join? We just started trying for no.2 this month and I could do with some emotional handholding (not with the, but with the 2ww!)

littlestgirlguide Sat 29-Sep-12 21:32:19

Hello and welcome to you lions, and welcome back katie!

Another of my friends announced her pregnancy today - due in may. Pleased for her, but.....

Started using the opk's - getting a fairly lengthy break this time so I thought I would give them a try as an experiment. Now on cd13, no positive yet. Fully expecting to get all negatives in agreement with what the doc said, anovulatory cycles. Blood tests booked for next Friday, and a scan in a couple of weeks.

Hopefully they will figure it out and say there's no problems!

PurpleDana Sun 30-Sep-12 10:25:54

oh Littlest sounds like such a horrid and frustrating time sad

welcome lions

well, it was ovulation day yesterday so.... now entering the 2ww!!
fx & hope september is our month...

shellshock7 Sun 30-Sep-12 22:27:27

Hi, may I join you ladies?

We are abt to TTC#2 and I may need some comrades for the journey smile

My DS is 6m and I previously had a MMC at 10 weeks, first pregnancy was conceived first month of trying and DS was conceived 3 months after MMC. I used OPK last month and think I ovulated on day 19 of 29 day cycle, and today is day one of AF so we are going to DTD with earnest in a couple of weeks grin

My main worry if we are successful is having another miscarriage, but I would hope with DS keeping me busy I won't have the time to obsess like last time!

Look forward to hearing some good news from you all smile

Lionsntigersnbears Mon 01-Oct-12 19:26:13

thanks Purple! the 2ww is the longest flipping 2 time! I'm nearly halfway through now, but I don't think this month is our month. We had sex too early and too late I think, and even my most optimistic symptom spotting can't come up with anything. Oh well, looking forward to lots of good news on this thread to cheer me up :-)

magoosmom Mon 01-Oct-12 20:14:28

CD 13 for me, ahhhh, fingers crossed everyone!

littlestgirlguide Wed 03-Oct-12 18:47:58

Ok... Smear test results have come back normal.... Now on CD 17... No sign of any bleeding since CD6, and definate EWCM yesterday (though OPKs still negative). Keep your fingers crossed for me, ladies!

WinterLover Sat 06-Oct-12 09:16:49

Hello Everyone! Its been ages since i've been on here, I'll try to catch up on what i've missed. DS is now 14 months old, DP and I are back on track (i think) so im on the tww again. Might sneak another DTD in tonight if we're quiet wink I realised that i've been basing my OV on a 28 cycle, when infact the past 3 have been 31,29,32. So I know have 2 calculators, one for 28 days and one for 31 days, maybe it will work.

Hope your all doing well xx

JollyJack Sat 06-Oct-12 13:37:09

Hi all smile

Thought I'd join in. Ds is 17mo. Took my last pill this morning so officially trying after af. So looking forward to having another one!

Seems like there are lots of bfps on this thread so a good place to be smile

PurpleDana Sun 07-Oct-12 09:03:33

Welcome back winter
And hi Jolly
In the middle of my 2ww and for some reason this feels the longest wait so far sad

magoosmom Sun 07-Oct-12 12:53:10

PurpleDana I'm on the 2ww too, fingers crossed, DH said I was boiling last night in bed which was the first symptom both times Ive been pregnant before, given that I'm CD 19 it VERY esrly to be symptom spotting but I just can't help myself......
Good luck to everyone!

littlestgirlguide Sun 07-Oct-12 14:18:36

I am allowing myself to start being optimistic since I am now on CD 21 and no sign of anything unusual at all! This in itself is great for me, but combined with fact that I think I ovulated this month, AND managed to dtd at the right time.... Who knows?! To be honest it doesn't matter if things are going back to normal I'm a happy bunny.

Positive thoughts everyone!

Congrats Eddie (I joined the thread a month or so ago but it dropped off my active convos, hence late congratulations)!!

<waves> at everyone!

Jolly, how exciting..and slightly odd on a ttc thread to be hoping someone gets af asap!

shell, my DS is 9 months & we've been trying that long for DC2.

Fingers crossed for you girlguide, and everyone in the 2ww!

PurpleDana Sat 13-Oct-12 17:49:27

Any news anyone??
AF due tomoro....

SLP (slim light positive) here Dana, af was due yesterday BUT I'm feeling really crampy & horrible so not expecting to remain pg.

Fingers crossed for you getting a BFP instead of AF!

littlestgirlguide Sat 13-Oct-12 20:55:31

There's always hope, awomancalledhorse, here's hoping for a sticky bean for you.
How's it going, Eddie?

Everything still going well here - now on CD 27 !!!! So AF due any time really. Not really expecting to be pg - there have been too many problems. However, if AF doesn't show up, how long would you leave it before testing? I have no idea why would be called late in MHz circumstances!

blush girlguide, I've been testing all week as I 'felt' pg and if you've deffo got regular cycles than I can't see the harm in testing tomorrow for you?
Be warned, you'll end up in limbo land with me!

But if you're not addicted to poas then I'd leave it until next weekend, just so you get a proper thick BFP & if AF does show up you've not wasted a test!

littlestgirlguide Sat 13-Oct-12 21:15:04

That's just it, horse, after the implant and all the stupid bleeding, and before that depo an pregnancy, this is the first proper cycle I've had in over 3 years. So no idea when to test!

Tw1nkle Sat 13-Oct-12 21:31:42

Can I join you please?!!?

Been TTC#2 for 3 years, with a MC last year.

Am now trying Evening Primrose Oil, and Agnus Castus - may try Soy next month!

PurpleDana Sun 14-Oct-12 20:38:34

Well, so far no af and a bfn :-/ Hubby wanted me to test before he went to work. I'm usually bang on time for af...

magoosmom Sun 14-Oct-12 21:16:50

CD 26 for me and feel pregnant, huge boobs, pain in my lower back yesterday and indigestion all day yesterday, very tired all day today, all symptoms Ive had before, won't be testing early because of a chemical pregnancy last month. Doctor advised me to wait til my period is a few days late so AF due next Friday (30 day cycle) so will wait til then to avoid a disappointment like last month.
FX horse I'd be jumping around with even a light line.
FX crossed for you too purpleDana and everyone else on the thread.

WinterLover Mon 15-Oct-12 21:19:00

mago that's all my symptoms, I'm CD26 too!! AF due thurs/fri will try to hold out till then but it will be a miracle is its BFP lol

WinterLover Mon 15-Oct-12 21:19:21

Oh and FX to everyone else too xx

magoosmom Mon 15-Oct-12 22:53:52

winter exciting times smile bought a two pack of pregnancy tests today and was tempted to take one tonight, didnt feel especially pregnant today tho, ahhhhh roll on Friday. Fx for you too !

WinterLover Tue 16-Oct-12 05:14:22

I POAS just now and it was negative, no suprise there really seen as I'm only 11dpo lol

magoosmom Tue 16-Oct-12 07:42:18

I'm holding off til at least tomorrow but it did cross my mind this morning grin

WinterLover Tue 16-Oct-12 08:21:02

I'd been awake with heartburn most of the night. Got loads of the Internet cheapies grin

PurpleDana Tue 16-Oct-12 12:35:48

Good luck winter and magoo !!
Af came yesterday very lightly, still quite light today which is unusual. But bleeding is bleeding isn't it :-(
Back to the drawing board... Now definitely feel I should never have agreed to put myself thru this again, I just feel it isn't going to work sad

magoosmom Tue 16-Oct-12 13:04:11

purple hope it all works out for you ((((hugs)))))

DH just texted me he wants me to test after work... day 28 of a 30 day cycle so 3 days early, mmmmm what to do.

magoosmom Wed 17-Oct-12 09:48:02

got a BFN this morning sad, 2 days early but I dont feel so hopeful anymore.....

PurpleDana Wed 17-Oct-12 18:13:27

Awwww magoo don't give up yet.

magoosmom Wed 17-Oct-12 18:36:34

small bit of brown blood and cramps, me thinks it's all over for this month, oh well, there's always next month....

AmIGoingMad Wed 17-Oct-12 20:12:10

Hi all! Hope you don't mind me joining you? I've been lurking for a few days if I'm honest! We've got DS1 who is 20 months now and been trying for DC2 since Feb. I'm trying to be relaxed and think 'it'll happen' but it's driving me insane! AF due tomorrow ish- still anything from 25-30 day cycles! Fx and for you all too! smile

WinterLover Wed 17-Oct-12 21:38:38

CD 27, no AF and still negative sad

magoosmom Thu 18-Oct-12 10:59:15

winter it's not over til Af arrives, still waiting for Af but im so cross and angry today that I'm sure it will arrive any minute.
Hi goingMad welcome! Do you mind me asking how long you were TTC with DC? Im starting to worry a bit even though this is only my second cycle TTC but with the chemical pregnancy last month I'm kinda freaking out that there's something wrong, I had an EMCS with DS and feel maybe my womb is a bit scarred/different/ I don't know!. Got pregnant straight away with DS.

WinterLover Thu 18-Oct-12 21:02:51

I've got my cycle days wrong, today is CD 31 sad

Winter, are your cycles usually clockwork?

magoo, has AF arrived full force?

Did a clearblue digital, and it puts me as 1-2 weeks pg, have a doctors appointment for Monday so I guess I'm bowing out & going over to the antenatal boards <scared but excited>

Will lurk here & hope everyone gets their bfp soon. x

magoosmom Thu 18-Oct-12 22:16:50

Congrats horse grin great news for you, best of luck on the June thread!
No Af yet but have had some cramps and the usual general wretchedness associated with PMT but oddly had indigestion again confused. Have already mentally moved on to next month, have a few nice (boozy) weekends planned to take advantage of my non pregnant-ness wink

WinterLover Fri 19-Oct-12 05:55:25

Yay congrats grin

They're between 28-31 so I'm guessing I'm now 'late' I maybe need to track them a bit more. I went by CM this month sad still negative. I just have no idea what's going on.

WinterLover Fri 19-Oct-12 08:23:10

Are any of you using anything to 'assist' conception?

magoosmom Fri 19-Oct-12 10:51:03

AF has arrived exactly on time, ho hum back to the drawing board.
Winter I go for reflexology and whatever about getting pregnant it really helps with period pain (ended up in A&E twice from chronic pain). I bought preseed but have never used it, going to crack it open next month for sure wink

WinterLover Fri 19-Oct-12 22:16:18

sad AF has arrived.

Just been reading up, I'm vitamin D deficient and apparently that can stop you ovulating sad

How's everyone else? I'm going to see how this cycle goes then may look at ways to assist lol

littlestgirlguide Sat 20-Oct-12 08:17:38

How do you know you are vitamin D deficient, winter?
Don't you get that from sunshine,After this summer I expect most of us are deficient in that!

AF has gone for now so keeping my fingers crossed this will be another normal cycle like last month. Going to start using my cheapie OPKs again today and see what happens.

Need to get DH interested again though, the pressure has been off for a couple of weeks and he's developed an irritating habit of sleeping at night! How do people do this without just saying, 'right then, make me pregnant!'?

WinterLover Sat 20-Oct-12 09:54:18

I had a blood test in jan, your level is meant to be around 75, mine was at 24, 6 months later after been on 700%rda of vitamin d my level was 44 sad gotta go back dec/jan for another blood test.

You only need 15min a day in the sun to get 100rda, so even in the shitty weather you can still get it.

shellshock7 Sun 21-Oct-12 10:31:32

Congrats horse grin

So am on the 2ww (well 11 day for me!).

Not confident really, we are trying the shettles method for the first couple of attempts as we already have a DS so thought we would try for a DD, only gonna try for 3 months tho as really we just want another baby smile

So we stopped DTD 4 days before ovulation this time, will stop 3 days before next time, then 2, then we are giving up and just going for it.

Good luck everyone on the 2ww too smile

PurpleDana Tue 23-Oct-12 23:35:08

Still feeling crap about getting nowhere sad
Just entering dtd week now.
Got some major baby cuddles in last Friday tho, my cousins beautiful newborn :-)

Larty74 Wed 24-Oct-12 22:36:06

Hello everyone! Mind if i join you?! Ive only done this once before when pg with DS who is now 19 months, so im a bit rusty on my acronyms. blush would somebody please be so kind as to translate ones frequently used here?

Only a week or so into TTC (the only one i do remember!) so trying not to be to bothered about it as the first time around we barely had to look at each other when DS was conceived.

Anyway, looking foward to keeping up with everyones posts!

PurpleDana Mon 29-Oct-12 15:12:37

How is everyone getting on?
I'm ovulating right now ( I think ) so everything crossed.

magoosmom Mon 29-Oct-12 20:13:51

im due to ovulate this week too, CD 9, here we go again...
Welcome Larty74 I got pregnant first month too with my DS (13months), just starting 3rd cycle , got pregnant first cycle again this time but unfortunately had a very early miscarriage, fingers crossed for this month, would love to get pregnant this month or next cos it would really suit for work but need to stop putting pressure on myself cos there's nothing I can do about it!

PurpleDana Mon 29-Oct-12 21:07:19

I'm on 4th month of trying. It would suit me for work too, I work in a college so taking maternity leave as students finish their year would be perfect.
But just pregnant at any time will do just fine! Got a cautious good feeling about this month... But maybe is just blind hope...

shellshock7 Mon 29-Oct-12 21:40:44

Hey purple

AF due tomorrow/day after for me so been POAS for a few days now grin All negative and not expecting anything tbh as this is first month trying. Although....random hopeful symptom checker: spots, slight constipation and felt sick for a bit on Saturday ha ha

Good luck everyone smile

magoosmom Tue 30-Oct-12 19:08:07

Myself and my DH are teachers so if I had a baby in July/August he would be around to help me because he would be off work til Sept.

Shellshock know what you mean about the symptom spotting I was CONVINCED I was pregnant last month...

Good luck everyone smile

shellshock7 Thu 01-Nov-12 11:32:07

Hmmm, AF was due Mon / Tues and I've had the pains but its not arrived confused

All tests negative, very strange.

PurpleDana Thu 01-Nov-12 17:49:18

Ouch! Nipples are very sore/sensitive. Sometimes happens when ovulating but that should have been sun/mon, maybe I'm ovulating late? Can that happen?

magoosmom Thu 01-Nov-12 20:04:17

interesting shell I had cramping when AF was due when pregnant with DS wink
purple interesting cos I ovulated CD 12/13 but usually I ovulate CD 15/16 so a change for me too, I suppose it change from month to month.
Fingers crossed smile

shellshock7 Thu 01-Nov-12 22:39:15

purple I thought time to ovulation changes but time post ovulation stays pretty constant (luteal phase?) so could be that you are later this month?

magoo still no AF so it's still possible, tho testing negative? Does this happen when actually pregnant?! Will test again in the morning if still nothing confused

magoosmom Fri 02-Nov-12 16:48:25

Shell yes you can have a false nengative but not a false positive, my cousin was really nauseous but everytime she tested she got a negative but she was pregnant smile, fingers crossed for you x

shellshock7 Sat 03-Nov-12 23:46:53

Nope sad It's arrived, gutted cos I'd had perfect 29 day cycles since DS arrived and now this has happened so not sure where that leaves us.

Hope someone else has good news tonight! smile

WinterLover Sun 04-Nov-12 08:05:10

Argh I couldn't find you all, thread had dropped of my active list.

Sounds like its not all going in a positive way on here sad

It's not going to plan here either, DPs just lost his job so as much as it hurts we're not 'actively' TTC. If it happens great but not pushing it.

Gonna keep in touch with you all on here though. Hope there's good news for you all soon xx

PurpleDana Sun 04-Nov-12 15:46:07

Hey winter nice to have u back [happy]
shell sorry it's not better news for u

magoosmom Mon 05-Nov-12 21:18:05

sorry to hear that shell sad I was really hoping for you...

Hi *winter welcome back smile

So I'm on CD 18 and have bigger boobs, even DH noticed, here we go again the symptom spotting has begun!

My DSIL had a miscarriage yesterday at 9 weeks, their 4th miscarriage in 2 years, so sad for them, I should be 10 weeks so if it had worked out for both of us there would only have had a week between us, would have been nice....

Oli31 Tue 06-Nov-12 11:25:04

Hello, never posted before, but taking my last pill on Friday and not going to start a new packet. Scared and excited, but so looking forward to a new baby and DS having a little brother or sister.

magoosmom Tue 06-Nov-12 12:47:42

Welcome Oli best of luck, how old is your DS?

PurpleDana Tue 06-Nov-12 19:55:31

Half way through the 2ww... CD22 today...

JollyJack Tue 06-Nov-12 20:27:15

Hi all.

Cd27 here. Was looking back at the info I wrote down when I got pregnant with Ds. My first post-pill cycle then was 32 days and my conception date (according to the scans) was about 27 days after the start of my second cycle of trying.

So I have no idea at all when I should be getting my next period. I'm planning to wait until at least Sunday, which is cd32 and test if no af by then.

So much for me not overthinking things!

shellshock7 Wed 07-Nov-12 20:18:32

Sorry to hear that winter hope your DP finds something soon.

Thanks magoo, fingers crossed for you now! Sorry to hear abt your DSIL, hope they are coping ok.

Good luck oli and purple

jollyjack I would say waiting till CD32 to test is pretty damn good grin

So we are giving up on the shettles method now my cycle length has gone mad and just gonna DTD every other day this month and hope for the has it's plus sides then grin

magoosmom Fri 09-Nov-12 11:57:12

purple any symptoms?!

Went to a fashion show with the girls I work with on Weds night, had a shocking hangover after 4 drinks, had a brutal hangover while pregnant with DS over Xmas two years ago ( didn't know I was pregnant I hasten to add!) , it happened a friend of mine too so maybe?? and I was boiling in bed last night, Oh dear I'm thinking about this way too much grin CD 22 here so won't be testing for another 10 days.....
* Shell* good luck, would love a DD too smile

EddieIzzardIsOrange Fri 09-Nov-12 12:12:40

Hi, just thought I'd pop in and see how we're all doing?

Fx for everyone....

shellshock7 Fri 09-Nov-12 19:50:39

Oooo magoo all the planets are aligning grin fingers crossed. There are literally no girls if you follow the male line down my DHs family so it was an extremely long shot anyway!

Hi eddie hope things are looking good for you smile

PurpleDana Sat 10-Nov-12 09:37:44

No symptoms magoo, just the boob thing but thing I'm clutching at straws. Af due sun/mon so not long to wait now, but not optimistic. I have a stinking cold and been downing the paracetamol and night nurse so wouldn't make the healthiest pregnancy anyway!
But will keep u posted. Good luck to the rest of u x

magoosmom Mon 12-Nov-12 11:51:49

trying desperately not to turn every ache into a pregnancy symptom, by this stage CD 25 of my two pregnanies I had a back ache but none so far today sad not saying anything to DH about twinges etc cos I don't want to get his hopes up unnecessarily. Won't be testing til the weekend so I need to put it out of my mind, much easier said than done!
How's everyone?

PurpleDana Tue 13-Nov-12 15:13:52

Cd29 and nothing yet... hmm

This one dropped off my active convos.
Had a miscarriage at the end of Oct so back here trying again!!

fx for everyone awaiting a bfp!

PurpleDana Tue 13-Nov-12 18:20:53

Scrap that. Af has arrived :-(

magoosmom Tue 13-Nov-12 20:37:07

purple how disappointing sad

horse Im sorry to hear that, hope you're ok? Ive heard that women are very fertile after a miscarriage so FX for next month!

was feeling queasy all day and then DH texted me to say he felt sick all day too ! and there I was convincing myself I was pregnant! Have been very thirsty the past two days tho mmmmm the futile guessing continues...

littlestgirlguide Wed 14-Nov-12 09:53:21

So my day 21 result has come back as 13, definitely not ovulating, despite normal-looking cycle the last 2 months, dominant follicle on scan 2 weeks ago, Ewcm, everything.
Feeling pretty low today and in need of a hug, but in RL only DH knows and he's 400 miles away with work.
Anyone got any virtual cake? Slimming world have banned the real stuff.

((hug)) & <virtual cake> for littlest, that's utter shite.
I'm really sorry, where do the doctors/you want to go from here?

wine for Dana.

When are you testing magoo? Hope all the symptoms are right & DH is just having a phantom pg grin

We're having lots & lots of sex here (hoping I am really fertile now), it took almost 12 months of 'not trying, not trying not to' to get pg with DS & 10 months for the MC, hoping this means we'll have #2 & then I'll get pg with #3 a week or so after giving birth, or twins. Anything other than me just being crap at getting pregnant quickly!

magoosmom Wed 14-Nov-12 21:56:06

((((((hugs))))) littlest I think you could give Slimmimg World a miss for one night and have cake?! you definately deserve some.

horse FX crossed for twins for you this month grin

Testing on Sunday cos AF due Sat but don't want to test early. Have a few symptoms but had loads last month too so Im not pinning any hopes on any of them, time will tell. To be honest if it took me another few months I wouldn't mind, DS slept the night for the first time last night (had to let him cry it out cos we'd reached desperation point) and he's 14months old so we're pretty exhausted after a full year of crap/no sleep.

PurpleDana Wed 14-Nov-12 22:16:46

Thanks for the wine horse
Cake all round??
I feel terrible cos I was a bit off with my hubby last night - I know he is upset too that I'm not pg this month, but I just felt so annoyed that he didn't act upset. I know he felt he should not show it cos it might make feel even worse, but I just felt he's so quick to show me hes upset any other time but he can't now?? But I know that's unfair of me. He's just trying to look after me, I blame myself for not getting pregnant after 2yrs of unsuccessfully trying with my ex

magoosmom Thu 15-Nov-12 10:58:51

((((((*purple*)))))) hope you're feeling a bit better today?

Good luck magoo, we've been ttc since I got my af back in feb so have been hoping for a smaller gap, however the idea of being pregnant & due to give birth any day now makes me thankful it's taking awhile.
DS was a rubbish sleeper until we started controlled crying (I know it's a swear word on MN), now it's amazing, I put him down at 7pm, he goes to sleep without crying at 7.10 & sleeps through until 6am...used to take 2-3 hours to get him to sleep everynight so you have my sympathies, well done to your DS sleeping through!!

((*Dana*)), hope you're feeling better today. My DH is a bit like that, he's trying not to get too emotional about it as he doesn't want me to feel pressured, please don't blame yourself. x

magoosmom Thu 15-Nov-12 13:12:51

horse we thought we wanted about 18months between children, Ive a sister 17months younger than me and we always got on great. I was supposed to get my wisdom teeth out in May and we thought we'd try after that but the operation was postponed til june so July was the earliest we could start but we were so wrecked from lack of sleep in July that I couldn't even comtemplate it.So we left it til Sept, if hadn't miscarried in Sept Id be 12 weeks now, tbh don't know if I wouldnt have managed the last few weeks as DS woke every 30mins last week hence letting him CIO this week. Ive had two full nights sleep (last night and the night before!) and I feel so great now smile. Ive decided everything happens for a reason. A friend of mine started TTC when her DS was 1, it took them awhile to concieve so there's 2.5 yrs between them and she's delighted - DS1 could feed and dress himself, could talk and was toilet trained by the time DS2 came.

PurpleDana Thu 15-Nov-12 19:03:50

Thanks magoo and horse ((hugs))
I feel a bit better today, just try to not think of it as a loss.
We said when we started that we would go until Xmas and then go back to docs. With my history doc said she only wants me to go 6 months without medical help. Will start with progesterone tests, already have the slips lol

magoosmom Fri 16-Nov-12 10:24:09

purple my friend took progesterone with great sucess. Hope you're having a good day today, as I said to DH if Im not pregnant by Xmas at least I'll be enjoy to enjoy the festivites grin.

Af due tomorrow, will test on Sunday if it hasn't arrived by then.

magoosmom Sat 17-Nov-12 11:26:38

Af due today, no sign of it, have a list of pregnancy symptoms as long as my arm, am going to POAS tonight! FX

PurpleDana Sat 17-Nov-12 19:53:06

Ooh fingers crossed for u magoo :-)

littlestgirlguide Sat 17-Nov-12 20:49:42

Magoosmum, when you said your friend took progesterone - do you mean there are tablets or something available, because this is what my tests show me to be so low in that I am not ovulating :-(
Where can I get some from?!

magoosmom Sat 17-Nov-12 21:12:24

She got in tablet form I think, I can ask her, it was on perscription, we're in Ireland but I presume you'd get it the pharmacy too. She also had to take an aspirin daily. I read on another thread that soy products are good for encouraging ovulation. Good luck.

In other my BFP grin grin grin FX I keep this one.....

shellshock7 Sat 17-Nov-12 21:24:31

Not got time for a full post, but couldn't read and not say....good luck magoo, I've got everything crossed smile

littlestgirlguide Sat 17-Nov-12 22:18:55

Ooooo! Magoosmum, that's great, congrats x

PurpleDana Sat 17-Nov-12 22:54:34

Yay magoo!!!!! So happy for u Hun. Hope all goes well.
When I was referred to consultant about fertility 5yrs ago the next step for me would have been progesterone tablets. I think they can only been prescribed by a consultant littlest

magoosmom Sun 18-Nov-12 19:30:29

Thanks everyone grin doesnt feel yet, wishing the next few weeks away.

WinterLover Mon 19-Nov-12 09:16:46

Yay congratulations grin

Getting slightly down at the min, I'm in a group for babies born Aug 2011, in that group 6 are pregnant again sad

GaryBuseysTeeth Mon 19-Nov-12 09:47:01

Congrats magoo!

((winter)), I know how you feel. My group (Dec 2011), one is pregnant & others are starting to try. We've been trying since Feb 2012 so I just 'know' I'll be the last one pregnant!
Aiming to 'get to know my body' over the next 2 cycles and workout what's what, and doing a list of all the pregnancy banned foods I'll be eating over christmas. Is there anything you can do to take your mind off it?

Hope everyone else had a good weekend?

(nc-ed, was horse).

shellshock7 Mon 19-Nov-12 22:23:41

Wahoo grin Congrats magoo grin I'm very pleased for you smile

PurpleDana Tue 20-Nov-12 07:48:42

I feel the same with this thread winter, since I joined everyone else but me seems to get pregnant!

annaloulou Tue 20-Nov-12 10:56:47

hey guys, im new to posting so please bare with me. Hope its ok I join this thread, been watching from the sidelines for a while blush. I have one dd, she is 11. have been ttc for four months. I am now at the dreaded tww stage, after a emc last month....will see where it goes

good luck to everyone smile

PurpleDana Tue 20-Nov-12 17:39:09

Hi anna good luck

shellshock7 Tue 20-Nov-12 18:23:28

magoo hope all is good with you smile

Sorry everyone else seems to be feeling a bit down, hopefully magoo will be the start of the good news. I'm on the 2ww I think, it all went so wrong last month I'm not sure of anything now so still DTD just in case wink

Hi anna fingers crossed for this month for you

magoosmom Tue 20-Nov-12 21:40:24

Thanks shell bit tired and slightly nauseous at times but I don't mind that cos it means I'm still pregnant!!!
A little bit of good news to cheer you all up, DBIl and wife announced to the family this evening that they are 11 weeks and just had their first scan today gringringringringrin they've being trying for 8 years and been through IVF a few times, they got pregnant naturally having given up completely. DON'T GIVE UP grin

annaloulou Wed 21-Nov-12 08:16:48

Hi purple and thank you smile
Hi Shell lets hope its the start of something for us all....fx
Hi Magoo Good luck and a happy healthy pregnancy smile

Well its only dpo3 and im already driving myself nuts lol! Is it time to poas now wink

shellshock7 Thu 22-Nov-12 20:39:07

Hmm, CD20 and think I may be ovulating now (not testing this month)? Hope this means that my cycle length may only be a day longer than expected and not 6 like last month sad

Out of interest how long post ovulation do you DTD for conception (not fun!) purposes?

PurpleDana Fri 23-Nov-12 23:32:52

We're not testing for ovulation or anything, we just dtd more the week around typical ovulation, so days 10-17ish I guess.

shellshock7 Wed 28-Nov-12 20:21:39

How's everyone doing? It's quiet so I assume no exciting news but they say no news is good news so fingers crossed grin

So, AF officially due Sat, but last cycle I was 6 days it too early to POAS tomorrow??!!! confused

WinterLover Wed 28-Nov-12 22:38:13

It's never too early to POAS grin

It's slow here, been 8 weeks since we last DTD sad getting fed up with it now. DPs on anti-depressants and has a slight side effect which means he struggles to 'relieve' himself sad

GaryBuseysTeeth Wed 28-Nov-12 22:43:19

Me who was horse, but name changed.

I got a BFP on Saturday, sort of believing it now.
DH is happy for me to spend all the money on cb digital tests!

Good luck poas Shell, think it might be slightly early, although you could get a line on a really sensitive test!

((Winter)), hope DP 'picks up' soon. Is it something you're discussing with him, or are you trying not to put too much pressure on him?

Hope everyone else is ok!!

shellshock7 Fri 30-Nov-12 15:54:28

winter hope things pick up for you soon smile

gary congrats grin that's great news!

I peed, 'twas negative, peed again today, 'twas negative....roll on tomorrow ha ha

PurpleDana Fri 30-Nov-12 20:44:44

Wow gary that's great! :-)
Not so good for u winter :-(
I'm just coming to end of fertile period and into 2ww, but hubby hurt his back at work on weds and we ended up in a&e last night! So no dtd for last few days :-(

WinterLover Sun 02-Dec-12 12:00:33

TMI but so relieved DP can 'relieve' himself grin we're viewing a house on Monday which is 4 bedrooms so means as he said he can make me fat again if we get the house.

In such a good mood now

shellshock7 Sun 02-Dec-12 22:15:26

So heavy period pains all day and lag night but no AF....looks like last month again then and I could be in for this for 6 days before AF finally arrives.

So I find myself in the position of TTC yet wishing AF would just arrive. Depressing sad

shellshock7 Sun 02-Dec-12 22:16:05

*last night, not lag!

WinterLover Mon 03-Dec-12 13:05:20

Oh no shellshock sadthats not a nice feeling

shellshock7 Mon 03-Dec-12 18:18:41

Well I feel a fraud for soliciting unwarranted sympathy....I got my BFP this morning?! All I can assume (hope) is that it was implantation pains, I never had anything like that with DS or MMC which is why I assumed the worst...only tested at lunch time as the pain had gone! smile

GaryBuseysTeeth Mon 03-Dec-12 18:24:07

grin shellshock!!! Congratulations!

Dana, oh! Hope DH's back isn't too bad atm? Has he slipped something?

Winter, good news, fingers crossed you get the house!

WinterLover Tue 04-Dec-12 07:48:48

Yay congratulations shellshocked fantastic news

shellshock7 Tue 04-Dec-12 10:59:21

Thanks, I'm sill in shock!

Good luck everyone else smile

PurpleDana Tue 04-Dec-12 21:16:03

smile congratulations shell!!!!
gary my hubby works in a care home and when a resident fell he went to catch her and hurt his back. She weighs 17 stone so ouch! He is just recovering now so tentative dtd last night ;-)

magoosmom Tue 04-Dec-12 22:15:42

Just came back to see how you all were doing, delighted to see two BFP's gringrin congrats shell and horse!!! I'm 6+4 and sick as a dog, all for a good cause tho so it's ok smile
good luck everyone else, I'll be thinking of you with fingers crossed.

PurpleDana Wed 05-Dec-12 21:34:42

Thanks magoo, isn't morning sickness a sign of a healthy & well established pregnancy? According to the old wives tales anyway lol, so all sounds good for u :-)
I'm battling convincing myself that my noticeable weight gain this last week or so is a symptom! It's probably more weight gain associated with feeling low that all this trying is getting nowhere :-(

PurpleDana Sun 09-Dec-12 14:13:41

Af due tomoro... I hate this sad
How's everyone else feeling?

Dana, ouch! How is DH now?
Sorry I've only just seen the posts, how are you feeling? Positive or pre-af?
My two previous pg (including mc one) I gained about 5lbs before getting a BFP, this time around I'm 5wks & have only gained a fingers crossed for you!

magoo, 'glad' to hear you're sick!

Def going for an private early scan, would hate to 'be' pg over Christmas & then find out I'm not..not seeing Dr/midwife until after then.

shellshock7 Sun 09-Dec-12 21:38:05

Fingers crossed for tomorrow purple

magoosmom Sun 09-Dec-12 23:04:24

FX purple
horse I was thinking the same, would be awful to be pregnant over Xmas and the find out you'd had a MMC sad, my first scan isn't til 10th Jan but as I'm going privately this time and it's costing a fortune I don't think DH will agree to paying extra for a viability scan.
Fx everyone for this month smile

PurpleDana Mon 10-Dec-12 17:39:38

I'm feeling crap to be honest, not pre-menstrual crap, just crap cos of this horrible wait and the fact I've gained a ton of weight that could just be me getting fat! Lol.
And to add to it, I've just remembered my last af was 29 days not the usual 28, so possibly not even due til tomoro! Arrgggh!! (And breathe...)
Hubby is fine now, all recovered. Just a bit tender when he is stretching / lifting.

PurpleDana Mon 10-Dec-12 17:40:20

Oh and thank u for the fx's :-)

Hello everyone,

Myself Pearl, from India. I am 79' born and my husband n me are TTC from last 11 months and so far nothing happened. I was diagnosed with PCOS and was treated for say 4-5 months, which regulated my period from 35-days cycle to 28-30 days, which sounded a good news for me until last month, I was supposed to get my periods on 24 Nov but it arrived on 30th Nov 2012. First day(30th nov) it was normal bleeding and second day little lighter and on 3rd day that is 2nd of Dec, just some spotting that slightly stained my pad. Then nothing ..... I normally start to get cramps, sore-breast and sick 5-days before my period is expected. But this time i just felt little cramps exactly few minutes before i started to bleed. My normal bleeding continues up to 4-5-6 days.

I don't know what happened to me. I have been feeling very dizzy and sick from last 3-4 weeks, feel like throwing anytime. headaches, slight cramps on either side of my lower abdomen. Its 12-dec-2012 today, took a HPT, got 1 clear pink line and exactly from where the 2nd line should have appeared, I see pink spread as if drops of urine were more than it was supposed to be.

I am so confused now confused. i donno what should I do. I am feeling so disappointed. My last period was again 5-6days late, is it that my PCOS is still not cured???? sad

PurpleDana Wed 12-Dec-12 15:37:34

Hi pearl I would say get another test so u are not guessing anymore and it is clear.
Meanwhile for me - day 30 and still no af. I almost fainted at lunchtime today, was it baby or hunger?? This is the first month we haven't had a test in the house ready and I now feel i wanna get a test, but everytime I poas my af comes that night or next day and I feel so stupid. Hmmm...

PurpleDana Wed 12-Dec-12 18:07:32

purple a massive congratulations gringringrin

Hi Pearl and welcome.

How is everyone else. I'm waiting for AF to arrive then we are properly trying. Probably not a great time money wise but if we want another baby I need to get pregnant first half of 2013 as we have a big family wedding in 2014 that I really don't want to be pregnant for.

pearl81 Thu 13-Dec-12 06:18:25

WinterLover wish you all the very best luck then .... smile

WinterLover Thu 13-Dec-12 09:19:51

Woohoo AF has arrived grin

GaryBuseysTeeth Thu 13-Dec-12 10:31:47

Dana!!! Massive congratulations! Hurrah for getting fat for the right reason!

pearl, I don't know much about pcos but I know you can't cure it...just control it.
I have a friend with PCOS and her doctor has put her onto a very natural foods diet (lots of grains/vegetables) without junk food or processed sugars (which should help to regulate the testosterone production).
She is also taking Vitex/Agnus Castus/Chasetree Berry (lots of names for the same thing) as a natural 'clomid'....and it helps to regulate her period.
Good luck in getting your BFP soon. x

Winter, hopefully the last time I'll say to you 'hurrah for AF'! Good luck trying in 2013!

I'm almost 6weeks(!) pregnant now & still worried every twinge is another mc, but have booked a scan for next week so hoping to see a little heartbeat there (or two, I feel massive atm so I'm hoping it's twins & not me getting fat)!

shellshock7 Thu 13-Dec-12 12:24:25

Congrats purple yay!

pearl81 Fri 14-Dec-12 05:29:31

GaryBuseysTeeth: Thanks ... I got to know so many things abt PCOS now and also something gud that even if I have PCOS i can conceive provided i follow proper medications.
Clomid also helps in ovulation isn't it? And how can I know whether I am ovulating or not? Earlier I could feel those egg white discharge but never was aware what it was for....and now ever since I have started to TTC, i hardly find any such discharge .... My doc had also prescribed me ADOVA for 5-days to start from the 5th day of my period. Now I guess it was to make me ovulate.

-> I have a question, whoever is put on Clomid or any meds that helps in Ovulation, how and when does it actually work? what i mean here is ....
suppose today is my 5th day of period and I start such med from today onwards till 5days, then when will I be ovulating??? During those 5-days of my med course or later anyday???? if its later then its really confusing as to when will I be actually ovulating .... arrghhhhh!!! so frustrating!!! sad
Someone please help me .... i think I am missing out on something .....!

-> I also have another question here: whenever my hubb ejaculates inside ... i do not feel anything ..... is it with all? or is it that I should feel the ejaculation happening inside me ????yeah I do feel some movements of his P** inside as if slight vibrations, but not able to feel the ejaculation inside. Also after he has ejaculated .... the fluid comes out and keeps coming out when i pee next day. is it what is stopping me from getting pregnant? i try my best not to let it come out but it comes out everytime sad.

I am so sorry to mention all this here ... but I guess i am here for my confusions and suggestions right? hope u dont mind me asking these stupid questions.

Thanks a lot again in advance ....

pearl81 Fri 14-Dec-12 15:04:38

Hey everyone ... Good Morning to all lovely ladies there... how r u all feeling today??? and yeah Please someone ... answer my queries if anyone is aware of it....

PurpleDana Sat 15-Dec-12 09:21:59

Thank u everyone for your congratulations messages, it's so nice to hear them!
I am feeling good at the mo, just a little fat and lots of twinges. But yes, fat for the right reasons lol, and I guess twinges are normal?? Just baby settling in?

pearl I'm sorry I don't really know anything about clomid, but I do know its normal to not feel ejaculation. And as for the the fluid leaking out, that's normal too, there is nowhere for your body to store it so of course it will come out. And don't forget, the liquid is only the carrier for the sperm, once it's released the sperm makes it own way to the egg.
Personally I clean myself up about 20mins after sex.

Hope everyone is ok and feeling positive!! :-)

pearl81 Sat 15-Dec-12 15:56:18

Wow thanks Purple... got it now....

pearl81 Mon 28-Jan-13 16:29:53

Hey ladies ... any updates ..anyone with gud news this month???

MannyAxy Mon 28-Jan-13 21:21:15

Hi, I'm new to this so please bare with me!!
TTC #2 since Aug 12, no luck so far. Got hopes up this month as had symptoms of being pregs earlier in the month even did test but BFN! Then AF ( hoping thats the right term!) arrived today! Very frustrating! Haven't spoken to anyone about how I'm feeling except OH, he's very relaxed, which I'm trying to be, but I am getting more and more anxious about it!

pearl81 Fri 22-Mar-13 08:37:59

MannyAxy: Yes, I can understand exactly what you are going through and I guess every one us who are TTC, are anxious. So just don't worry. Try diverting your mind somewhere... Like listen to music, do some gardening or even read books if you like reading. Do not keep yourself free for longer as then where all such thoughts and anxiety shows up. Keep urself per-occupied and be very very +ve always, It takes time but GOD is Good .... he will answer your prayers for sure.

For me its been almost more than a year now and no luck so far. I am on clomid's second cycle this month. Yesterday was my CD 9 and my my follicles each from both the Ovaries are quire matured and measures about 20 MM and 18MM and my ET is 6mm. My Gyn wab little surprised as it was too early. She thinks my follicles will rupture on its own and I might not require any Trigger shots.

Sending sticky baby dusts to all there .....
God Bless! smile
