TTC after recent MC(1000 Posts)
Here we go everyone - a place for the recent MCers to chat and share all our NOT waiting stories!
Yay!! Great new thread posy!
I miscarried about 11 days ago (was roughly 6.5 weeks), and stopped bleeding about 4-5 days ago. I feel soooo ready to start again right away! I know that I will have no idea when AF is next due, and when I'll next ovulate, so DH and I are just going to DTD every other day, and who knows, maybe we'll be lucky :-)
People keep telling me how much more fertile you can be after MC, but I don't exactly know what that means!
Hi - thanks for setting this up posy
I found that I really missed being part of the March thread after the mc.
So I mc last week - when I had the final scan on Wednesday, everything had gone and there was nothing to see on the scan. I stopped bleeding on Friday.
We have already started ttc. I've said in other threads that I was quite relaxed about it all before I had a mc - I felt like it would happen when the time was right...but now I feel desperate to get pg again. I don't want this to affect us when we are dtd - I don't think it has so far though. I also don't want DH to feel like we are only dtd so we can ttc.
We are going to do the same jessie and dtd every other day and see what happens. I did a pg test today and it was positive so I'm not sure if that means that I can't get pg until it goes negative again. I have heard of lots of people (in RL and on here) who have got pg immediately after a mc (a lot seem to conceive 2 weeks later) so I am really hoping that I can be one of those!
Hope you've all had a lovely day and that it has been sunny where you are!
woody I feel the same the way: before I was all chilled out about TTC and now that I've been pregnant and had this mc I want to be pregnancy again so bad... DH and I had a little chat over the weekend about how we can keep DTD but also try to make it romantic so we aren't feeling the pressure about TTC. Especially the next month + when we have no idea when ovulation, etc.
So I went out to Ann Summers and bought a few little numbers for the DH, he will love it :-)
Also interestingly (this may be TMI), I have been very... amorous, the last few days. I don't know if its just the strong desire to be pregnant again, or if it means I'm close to ovulation, but seriously anything is getting me in the mood!
My consultant said it could take up to 2 weeks for the hormones to leave the system after MC and therefore you could still get a +ve for 2 weeks after MC, so Woody I'm sure your test is just picking up the tail end of the hormones.. I did a test yesterday at it was -ve, so it must be all out of my system.
Posy have you decided then to start TTC right away, or will you wait one cycle til AF?
Yes I am a bit worried that DH ends up feeling like we are only dtd to get pg, when that isn't the case. I'm exactly the same - I feel like I'm having lots of signs that normally would mean that I'm close to ovulation but with the pg test yesterday I don't think this can be the case...
FX that I get the -ve within a couple of weeks! Although some people on here seem to never get the -ve and just move to +ve for a new pg.
It definitely feels like the right thing to ttc straight away though.
Hello, nice to have company on our little thread! I also missed March when I left Woody. I had got used to checking it for updates.
A friend of mine got +ve for about three weeks after her miscarriage even when she had stopped bleeding. Well done to you both for testing - I am not sure I could bring myself to do it (that said I probably would if I had some in my drawer!)
People keep telling me you're your most fertile ever after a miscarriage. I really hope that's the case as I now also feel desperate to get pregnant again! I have also started to feel like dtd again too... Maybe it's our bodies' way of helping us move on?
I know what you mean about only dtd to get pg. When we conceived this last time it was the most unromantic thing ever! I had a schedule all worked out! I hate it being like that, but can't rely on DH to know when it is necessary to do so So we may be more relaxed if we start dtding from now when we have no clue what's going on.
Jessi I also went out and bought some underwear at the weekend to make myself feel better... Though mine was from m&s not Anne Summers! But it is nice to have lots of nice new pants
I have also more or less stopped bleeding today. Such a relief!
I am new here and just added my first ever tread!
I too had a mc on Friday. My heart is broken and I am still bleeding.
I took pg test today and it's negative so I am assuming this is good news?
The only thought that cheers me up is the idea of having another go but DH thinks we need to wait 3 months as this is the NhS advice.
Does anyone know how long it can take for
Ov to happen? And is it true about being more fertile????
I'm glad the bleeding has almost stopped posy I definitely started to feel a lot better from that point. I've been told that you are most fertile - i really hope so! I just don't seem to be able to stop feeling desperate to be pg again.
We were just dtd when we felt like it but when I looked back using the ov calculator on this website, we would have dtd about 3 times during what it reckoned were my most fertile days and I don't think we had in previous cycles.
I ordered some cheap pg tests from amazon this afternoon (they say they are the ones NHS use so hopefully I can trust them?!) and I'm going to do one every other day until it goes -ve. Quite a few people have said that they ovulated around the same time as getting the -ve.
Hope you've all been enjoying the sunshine!
Sorry lolcbcb our posts crossed.
Really sorry to hear about your mc - it's horrible isn't it? You do grieve for what has been lost. I found that I started to feel more positive when the bleeding stopped - I don't know if this was to do with hormones though. I've found it really helpful chatting to people on here and hope you do too.
At the EPU, we were told that we could start ttc as soon as we felt ready. I think sometimes they advise waiting a month but I think this is more for dating reasons rather than anything else. The handout I got from the mc association says that a study has shown that if you get pg within 6 months of the mc, you are less likely to have a mc.
Apparently, you won't ov until the pg tests are -ve. Some people reckon they ov about 2 weeks after the mc. A few used the first day of bleeding as 1st day of af and worked out dates from that. It seems impossible to predict - the 1st cycle after mc gets called the WTF cycle because it's so unpredictable.
We are ttc again already, even though I don't even know if I can be ov cause I'm still getting +ve tests.
I've also heard about being more fertile - I don't know if this is true or not but I really hope so. I don't know about you but I just feel absolutely desperate to be pg again.
Sorry lolcbcb to hear about the mc. It really does suck doesn't it. It does get better though. Like woody says, as soon as I stopped the heavy bleeding a felt a million times better. I suppose it was the hormones balancing out. And yes, I think a negative test is a good sign
About the whole "waiting" thing (and lolcbcb I've also heard other people say they have been advised 3 months, and I think this is outdated advice) I have been doing a lot of thinking about this:
-My consultant told me to wait one month (til AF) and then to start TTC, and this is for dating purposes.
-I have also been told it is advisable to wait to allow yourself time to grieve, which obviously on an emotional level, you have to allow yourself time to be "ready".
So after doing a bit more browsing on here, I have come to the conclusion that there really isn't any medical/physical reason why anyone would need to wait 1,2, or 3 months to TTC. I think our bodies are so smart, that it realised the pregnancy wasn't viable, and it expelled it in the appropriate way, and has now readied us for future conceptions. Waiting for the next AF seems so... backwards... because if we get an AF that means that roughly 14 days before that we ovulated. So why can't we try to get pregnant during those fertile days?
"Back in the day", when people miscarried early, they just put it down to a late period, then got pregnant again the next cycle. There was likely no "waiting" for a few cycles to pass before TTC again...
Anyways, just my opinion, that I think if you're emotionally ready that there is no reason to wait. DH and I are just enjoying DTD at the moment, and it would be so lovely if we fell pregnant again right away (we've conceived 1st month of TTC both times now, so we're on a roll!)
fx for us all!
Also posy glad the bleeding has almost stopped, it was such a big relief for me when it did (although I did spot on and off for another 4-5 days when it did)
woody I also ordered a 15 pack of cheap HPTs from Amazon! I figured when its been 5+ weeks after mc and I haven't yet got AF that I'm going to go on a poas frenzy haha I do get like that!
jessie I totally agree with what you said about waiting - we are the same - not going to wait and enjoy dtd and seeing what happens. Surely, we will have a rough idea of when we got pg and when we definitely wouldn't have been pg! I would be so happy if I got pg again before af arrives. Have you had a -ve pg test yet? I am hoping to get a -ve by the end of the weekend and then hopefully ov will happen soon after.
The cheap tests mean I'll be able to test each day until I get the -ve and then I'll probably wait 2 weeks and then start testing again! I just can't wait to even have the potential to get pg again.
Hi woody Yes I had a -ve pg test a few days ago, so I know everything is back on track! i'm sure yours will come very quickly.
As said earlier I have been super
horny 'amorous' this week so I have been wondering if that means I'm ovulating or just so desperate to be pregnant again who knows. I'm trying to not read too much into any symptoms that may crop up in the next few weeks because I know this is going to be a wonky cycle. The only symptom I'll really keep an eye open for is AF!
Thanks so much for the replies. I too feel ready to start again and am just waiting for bleeding to stop. Guess the -ve result yesterday is a plus and a sign to start again. Not in the mood for sex tbh but will have to find a way lol. Think it will help make this whole thing a bit less painful.
I wish I could spot ov though.
Do any of you use opk? If so which one? I've read here they don't always work!?
Before mc I could always spot ov just by cm and I am hoping it will be the as same again.
Love the WTF cycle!! This whole experience can be described as WTF though. Time for a good one don't you think? "WTF I'm pg again!??? "
I've never used opk, but I know some women who have and have had success, but they are pricey I know...
fx crossed lolcbcb that bleeding stops soon and you may be surprised by a swing in hormones and perhaps soon you'll be more in the mood for DTD
lolcbcb I also think that when the bleeding stops you may be surprised by the change in hormones.
I am hoping for a -ve test by the end of the weekend and then hopefully I'll ov soon after. Would love to get a bfp in August! Supposedly you are supposed to be more fertile after a mc...
I've never used opk - I think I will wait a few more months and if I haven't got pg again then I might consider using them.
Hope you are all feeling ok. I'm so glad that it's almost the weekend.
Sorry to hear about your MC LOLCBCB,its crap isnt it :-(
Just back form a lovely couple of days away, did me the world of good and feeling really positive about trying again!
Its good to read what the MC association say about being less likely to miscarry if you conceive within 6 months Woody.I think the only thing putting us off is the chance of it happening again next time .
Ive also bought a job lot of preg tests and OPK tests too lol,I used some OPK tests last time and they worked fine but not the same brand Ive got now, these are just the cheapies .Ive almost stopped bleeding now but still getting v faint +ive line . V exciting to think we could all be ovulating soon! Everything crossed for us all!
Small update from me
ignoring previous post about not symptom spotting : I think I ov'd today. I had what felt like very familiar ovulation cramps, and when I went to the loo saw a definite increase in CM. This would explain why the last 5 days I've been well in the mood! DTD 3 nights ago and again this morning so if I did indeed ovulate then fx something will happen!
Just reviewed my calendar, and its 2 weeks to the day since MC, about a week since I stopped bleeding, and about 5 days since -ve HPT, so it could very well be ovulation. Will continue to DTD every 2-3 days though just in case.
Hello everyone. I have also been away for the weekend smellyanne - glad you had such a nice time. Has everyone had a nice weekend?
Hello lolcbcb so sorry to hear about your miscarriage, I miscarried on the Thursday before you did, a complete miscarriage, and bled since then until yesterday. Hope you're OK. It's gutting isn't it?
Today I feel great as I decided I deserved to treat myself to a swim and brunch with a friend. It was so lovely to gossip all morning and drink nice coffee without feeling guilty! As I have now finally stopped bleeding I have decided we are going to start dtd from later on (if I can get DD to bed before I pass out with my book!) I now see no reason to wait now.
I am feeling very cheered by Jessi's stories of possibly ovulating! 2 weeks after my mc is this Thursday so I am going to start getting DH in the mood again
I have also never used OPKs. Both times I conceived I did a version of the SMEP without OPKs. It basically amounted to having sex every other day - not very scientific!
Is it the same for d&cs as for natural miscarriages?
With my last natural miscarriage I conceived 6 weeks later, and I had a d&c on 13th July, so still waiting for AF. (I have had two natural and 2D&cS).
TBH, I don't want to DTD or be PG. I just want to skip straight to the point where I am handed my new baby... But I can't have one without the other....
joberg I sometimes also feel like I would like to be handed a new baby, or maybe a one year-old... So sorry to hear about your miscarriages. x
I have been lurking on here, please can I join you all?
I MC'd just over a month ago. I am ttc DC2. DD1 is 14 months old.
It was a very sad time and it is hard to know if I am 'ok' and ready to ttc again. (do you ever get over it?)
Anyway if I ever to get to see my husband to DTD as he is in the Army and has been called up for the Olympics (a whole other thread lol) anyway AF has just finished - first one after MC so I am going to go with that as a cycle and just DTD when we can!!
Fx for a lucky thread. X
PS I am not completely sure about d&cs - but in my hospital leaflet (which seems to cover all types of early miscarriage) it makes no distinction. It just says one month is good to allow yourself to recover but that there was no medical reason to wait.
Hello Pipswife. Welcome! So sorry to hear about your miscarriage.
Wow, having an army husband must make ttc a challenge! How exciting though that it's your first proper cycle. My fingers are crossed for you!
ps you're prob right pipswife that you probably don't ever fully get over it. Mine feels too soon ago (if that's a phrase) at the moment to know how I feel so I am currently just focusing on the future. It feels nice to have something to look forward to though (hopefully!)
@posypoo Thank you for the welcome. It is hard but you are right having something to look forward to is how you get through it I think.
I really hope we are on here soon starting a 'due in April/May' thread!!
Nice to have you join us despite the sad thing we all have in common!
Well I finally stopped bleeding on sat so am planning to get back on the DTD train this week!
Today I bought pregnacare conception (do u all take it?) and some cheap ov sticks from amazon. Also bought a twin cb digital pg test in readiness for next month.
These little things have cheered me up as it feels I am slowly starting again.
I know what u mean by not wanting to get pg again! But I can't let fear get the best of me!
Are any of u planning to poas soon? It would be nice to stick together lol x
Hi Lol yes I take it, well sanatogen (though only because it was a bit cheaper!).
You sound very well prepared now. I have never been sensible enough to order pg tests in advance online, even though I know it would be way more cost effective. I usually decide I am definitely NOT going to test, before impetuously driving to a chemist to spend a tenner!
I take sanatogen too, they were probably on offer!!
I've got a couple of pregnancy tests that I popped in the trolley last time I was in sainsburys so I've got some for when next AF should be due. But I too try not to go test crazy but easier said than done!!
Hi everyone - hope you are all well.
Went to a family celebration this weekend - it was lovely seeing all my immediate family but sad because DH and I had planned to tell them all about the pg today before I had the mc. They all knew what had happened and were so kind and supportive.
I take santogen as well!
jessie that's really exciting that you've ov!
posy i have been known to do exactly the same thing - there is a chemist near us that's open to 11pm and some evenings I end up there buying pg tests! I got some cheap tests from amazon so I don't know if I'm going to go a bit crazy with them!
Anyway, I am quite confused about what my body is doing at the moment. Up until and including Friday, I was still getting +ve pg tests. Since then. I think there is a line but it is so so so faint - almost invisible and I'm not sure if there really is anything there. But I've been having watery, slippery cm and yesterday I had a tiny amount of pink tinged discharge and then a bit later, when I wiped, it was a bit brown. I feel like I've been having cramps and twinges. I just don't know what to think - does it mean anything? Am I just obsessing over nothing because I feel so desperate to get pg again...or even have the chance to get pg.
Woody- are u still having +pg test? My ecu told me it should be -ve within a week? Maybe keep an eye on it and call them if no change!
Posy- I have also been known to buy last minute expensive tests lol. That's why I am so proud of myself now!
From what I can see, sanatogen and pregnacare are pretty much the same? It was just over 5 quid on amazon. Just waiting for it to come- taking plain folic acid for now.
What about ov sticks? Do u girls know how to use them? I bought some cheap ones. Don't know if ill get my head around it.
Have a good Monday and lets all keep our heads up!
Yesterday was my first day without tears. Another achievement!
Woody are you getting -ve tests now? I think there is a good chance you could be ov but I would still DTD EOD for a bit just to be sure.
How is everyone doing today? I agree that you don't ever really 'get over' the mc, and yes I would love to just skip the whole stress of pregnancy and just be handed my new baby, but I suppose it doesn't work like that Last time around, I loved being pregnant from about week 16 onwards. So if I could start from that point I'd be happy lol
Yes I think pregnacare and sanatogen are the same thing - good to know pregnacare so much cheaper on Amazon. It was about £15 when I looked in Boots!
I am fine today - bored at work and job hunting. We attempted dtd for the first time last night (though I chickened out of anything major). Definitely feeling in the mood again though, and pretty sure I am also building up to ovulation sometime soon... Hurrah.
I enjoyed pregnancy from about 20 weeks Jessi. And I wish my hair and nails could be that nice always! My little girl loves books about new babies at the mo, and yesterday she shoved a doll up her top to be like the mummy in the book. If only it were that easy
Hope all are having a good Monday. I'm back to work after 2 weeks off!
Random question but all this talk of testing got me thinking, I didn't re test after my mc as had a scan and nothing there at all not even empty sac and they did a test and it was neg. but I've put on quite a lot of weight, I've been eating crap and not exercised since mc (eat crap when I feel crap) so I thought it was just that but I used one of my tests on first wee this morning and there was a faint 2nd line. The thing is we have not dtd since conceiving which I then went on to mc so if I am pregnant it's the same pregnancy that I was meant to have mc'd? Can you still get a false +ve so long after mc? Over 4 weeks now.
Help please girls
pipswife I have no idea to be honest but it seems very strange that you had -ve test and it is now +ve. If you had dtd then I would assume that you were pg again. It might be worth going to see your GP? This time after the mc is horrible, isn't it?
posy what do you do?
jessie I did another cb digital today and it seems to have gone up so I don't know what's happening. I am feeling really really nauseous, boobs are very sore (particularly on the sides) and had some brown discharge this morning when I wiped.
I feel ok but these pg tests are really getting me down. Think I need to ban myself from testing for a few days. I am just desperate to even have the chance of getting pg again!
Pips perhaps you should go see your GP I think or call your EPU. Something could have been retained after the mc. I doubt it is the same pregnancy if during the scan they confirmed not even an empty sac. But I do think its odd to get a faint line after 4 weeks since mc.. Have you had an AF since?
whereas woody has it only been about 2 weeks is that right? perhaps your body is just taking a bit longer to get through this process, frustrating right? Yes take a break from testing, and maybe test in a week or 10 days. And in the meantime keep DTD eod or so. The other option is to just wait until next AF and accept this is a wonky cycle, but thats hard to do I know!
Glad you're feeling better posy and getting in the mood
Hi jessie I am going to follow your advice - not test for a while and continue to DTD EOD or so. I can't believe how frustrating it all is - I think because it was a natural mc and everything had passed by the time I went for the final scan I thought all the hormone would have gone by now. I don't think I could wait to ttc until af arrives!
lolcbcb I haven't used ov sticks yet. I think I will give it a few months and if nothing has happened then I might start.
Hi Woody, a friend of mine miscarried in January and she was still testing positive three weeks after the miscarriage. If you have stopped bleeding though, no reason not to DTD according to my doctor and leaflet.
By the way I have also been having watery d/c since I stopped bleeding on Sat, and a bit pink-tinged. I'd assumed it was end of miscarriage, or start of ovulation with some old blood. I haven't been too worried as nothing has been normal for the past few weeks of course. It must be really frustrating to be still getting pg symptoms and positives though. I haven't tested, but know I would find it very confusing to still get a +ve.
Pipswife that does sound a bit odd to me. Why not ring your EPU and have a chat to them?
I work for a publisher Woody. I am being made redundant in a year or so, so constantly job-browsing, but it's quite hard now I am part-time, planning a pregnancy and have no brain left! What does everyone else do?
Also, just a thought but could the cramps and symptoms be related to ovulation? I get ovulation cramps quite noticeably since I had DD. Maybe you are just noticing it more now because you are monitoring things?
Hi woody I'm confused as to why u still showing +tests! Maybe wait a few days with no poas and contact gp! I haven't also DTD since mc. Not been in the mood. But will get back to it this weekend! I stopped bleeding but every now and then a little bit of brown stuff comes out and I'm thinking it's just end of mc?
pips agree your situation is confusing! I would prob give it a couple of days and call gp as well just to be on the safe side.
Do u all have children? This was my first pg so I don't know what a happy one feels like. I'm 38 and until recently was not sure if I wanted kids. Amazing how this has changed it!
I work for a bank as a branch manager. Stressful at times but i love it at other times. It is as secure as it can be and can be fun too. But I work bloody hard for my money!!!
Hope everyone is ok?
I went for my follow up scan this morning to be told everything has gone and the uterus lining is nice and thin again..also had a neg preg test last night so been a bit wobbly this aft.I know its good that everything has gone but also feels v final :-( I asked the nurse about TTC straight away and she said they recommend you wait until after AF to make sure anything left over comes away with the period. Was a bit surprised as on here most advice says its just for dating purposes and also if the scan says everything's gone anyway...not sure what to think now..
smelleyanne if they said in your scan that everything has gone, and you have a -ve test, then I think that would be quite final, and I don't know if you need to worry and wait a month to "make sure anything left over comes away" ?? Just my opinion but I don't see why you would have to wait until AF if you feel emotionally ready. As I said earlier in the thread if you have an AF that means you've ov'd so why waste that opportunity if you're ready? just my personal opinion
Lolcbcb Yes I have a DD and being pregnant (2nd and 3rd trimester) was AMAZING! But the first 12 weeks were SO hard not being able to tell anyone, and waiting for the scan to prove that indeed you are pregnant. Its a tough hurdle to get through, but once you get past it being pregnant is amazing. Fx we will all get there very soon
Woody I know its frustrating, but I think you're doing well staying positive (and getting right back in there with the DTD!) As long as you're feeling alright, I'm sure all is good and you'll get your -ve very soon
Hope everyone else is doing well!
posy how far along was your friend? I think I've just got to accept that it is still hormones from mc and not try and get my hopes up by thinking that it is a new pg - as this would be impossible from what I understand. I think that I am just confused because the last scan that I had showed that everything had gone and the lining was back to normal etc so I assumed all the hormone would be gone...
Are you looking for a job in publishing?
I have been a head of faculty for an English department in a high school. I have no dc and have only been pg once.
smellyanne I think that people to seem to get told slightly different things about ttc after a mc. I think that you've just got to do what feels right for you. It's quite a roller coaster of emotions, isn't it? I feel fine and then am very sad/upset.
Good evening everyone.
Thanks for the advice. I think I will wait out and maybe test again in the morning. (We can't help it if there are tests in the house - can we!) I am sure it is nothing and it's as if I am clutching at straws - massively!
Anyway, to answer a few questions. I already have one DD, 14 months old and so amazing which just makes me want another so much!
I am a Nurse (in the Army too like my husband) Busy, crazy job at times but I am in a stable posting at the moment with a fantastic live out Nanny which helps so much with juggling work and family.
Hope everyone is having a nice evening. Corrie on, DD asleep, waiting for DH to call to let me know if he is getting a day off anytime soon from the Olympic G4S support!!
Hi Smellyanne I know what you mean, all the different advice is confusing isn't it. I think if everything's gone you don't need to worry, so just do what feels right for you. Not everything had come out at my final scan, and they were quite definite about it (and I had residual bleeding until it did go), so if they've said it's all gone I expect it has. But my doctor gave me a leaflet which said there is no medical reason to wait (though she herself said one month!)
Woody My friend was about 7 weeks I think. It was at least a week after she stopped bleeding. She said she had never felt more relieved to see a -ve test.
Nurse and head of English sound like busy (but rewarding) jobs! I am looking for a change - am actually looking into teaching but realistically I don't think I could re-train for several years so I need a mum job for the time being!
pipswife I am terrible if there are tests in the house - I can't leave them alone!
Got there in the end posypoo;), thank you for putting me in the right direction & letting me join in. My doctor told me to wait till after my first AF before TTC but am going to ask at the EPU when I go for my scan tomorrow. I don't feel I have time on my side being 38 so if there is no medical reason as to why you can't start trying asap I will TTC as soon as I can & feel ready, especially as I keep hearing that your more fertile after a MC.
Hi closh nice of you to join us
Agree, temptation of tests at home can be tough! I will hide the two I've ordered and behave myself. Last time I didn't test until af was 9 days late cause I was too scared of bfn!!!
Still no sign of ov over here. My fertility app says its due on fri however that is counting mc as af which may mean its all wrong anyway!!
Have any of you got any idea how long it takes for ov to happen after bfn? I had blood test sat 21st and if was already quite low at 27 then poas on tue 24th and it was neg. that is exactly one week ago. What do u think?
It's nice to see we all have interesting jobs and successful careers. It is possible to want both after all x
Can I join please?
I am in the process of having an MC now.
It's been a weird one though as I didn't even realise I was PG! We started TTC in April and this was our 3rd cycle. I had lots of traditional symptoms in the 2ww but then got AF as usual on DPO14, so assumed that was it.
So then, on what I assumed was CD6 of a new cycle, I was still getting cramping which is unusual for me with AF and someone (on MN actually) suggested that I do an HPT. I got a very strong and very quick BFP.
The other weird thing is that not only had AF arrived on DPO14, but on DPO13, in the hope that I was PG, I'd taken a test and it was a BFN!
Anyway, it's now been 12 days since the start of the (post-AF) bleeding and I've had a scan and several blood tests. The blood levels were never particularly high (peaked at 487) and have been dropping since last Friday. I haven't had any major bleeding, but it's there all the time, lightly, red with some clots and I'm back on Friday for another blood test to check they're still dropping. Yesterday they were down to 277 and my progesterone had dropped significantly so it's just a case of waiting now.
The scary thing for me is that the PG could have been ectopic and because it is resolving into a normal MC, we will never know so I will always have that risk and fear hanging over my head.
DH and I have spoken and have decided to wait until AF arrives before we try again. I had an MC 4 years ago and after one cycle, was then PG with DD so we're going to give that a go this time aswell. I'm 38 though and don't rate my chances and I'm feeling sad before we've even started!
Good luck to everyone else!! I've started numerous threads on MN in the conception section (under older nicknames) and all have produced lots of BFPs and the first one is still going from 5 years ago (first time frolickers), so hopefully this may bring some luck too.
Good luck ladies!!
welcome kat, although under unfortunate circumstances. Very sorry to hear about mc. Thats good news to hear that your last MC resulted in DD the very next month. That gives the rest of us hope!!
This wonky post-mc cycle is really playing with me. I think I have had ov symptoms, but now I feel nauseous, etc, and very PMT. So I think, and kind of hope, I will see AF soon so that I can just start with a brand new cycle.
Hello Closh, glad you found us! How did your scan go?
Hello Kat so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. That really sucks, especially not knowing you were even pregnant. We are all hoping for that post-miscarriage super fertility here, so you're in the right place!
Well, we dtd proper for the first time since mc last night, and definitely felt ready again. Though I am not expecting any kind of result this month it feels nice to be back in the game
How is everyone else today?
Ooh symptom spotting already Jessi - that's quite exciting. I know what you mean about AF though. It will be quite nice to know what's going on next month!
Hi...just sticking my head in...
posy and woody I was with you on the March 2013 thread but like so many others on there, it wasn't to be this time. Started to MC about 10 days ago and it now all appears to be over. Had a blood test on Mon which showed HCG levels of 640 so haven't bothered with a home pg test as I know it will still show +ve even levels are coming down.
Haven't really talked through with DH whether we're going to try again (so not entirely sure why I'm on this thread!) and we've had a bad week as it is so can't see that we'll be jumping each other any time soon but I guess I'm still vaguely hopeful that we might have DC3 at some point. Should probably talk to him to see what he's thinking but keep hearing stories of how fertile I should be after my MC so don't want to miss this window iyswim.
Good luck to all ...
Hi Carikube so sorry you have had to come to this thread, but good to see you, if that makes sense. Hope you're OK. I have only just started to properly think about ttc again too, but it's a good place to hide out in the meantime anyway!
Thanks posy...it does feel as though I am back amongst friends here! Having seen DC2's behaviour the past couple of days, am wondering if I'm mad even thinking of another...
Ha ha, I know what you mean. I can barely look after one sometimes! How old are your DCs?
DD1 is 3 and DD2 is 2 and she is the real troublemaker (found her throwing my eggs on the kitchen floor one by one yesterday after we came back from shopping - that'll teach me to not put the shopping away straight away!). They share a room and DH and I went in to watch them sleeping when I first started to MC just to remind ourselves that we are still really lucky.
Been churning over in my head whether to try again and told DH that I thought as we are both getting on a bit we should keep trying til Christmas and then give up if it hasn't happened; he's now saying that's too much pressure so I have no idea what we're going to do. I was getting all carried away thinking that I could now try again and be super-fertile but I have suddenly started spotting again and looking at the pregnancy loss website it sounds as though I'm mad thinking about it yet as it's not even sure that the MC really is complete. I think my head might explode soon, so I'm off to enjoy a coffee after having gone off it for the past few weeks
10 days does sound quite soon, though everyone is different. It's almost three weeks now since I started miscarrying (I also had on and off spotting for quite a bit) and I have only just felt ready to think about it. I wouldn't make any decisions, or put any pressure on yourself to decide anything yet. x
Hope you are all ok.
I am feeling a lot more positive today finally got my BFN since mc. It feels like it has taken so so so long to finally get this!
And I dont even want to think about how much Ive spent on pg tests over the last few weeks. I think perhaps this is partly because the bleeding stopped so long ago and as Ive said before, when I went for the final scan, everything had gone.
So, I am hoping that I am going to ov soon! We have been DTD EOD so we will be continuing with that and hoping to get it right. Quite a few people have recommended ov sticks/fertility monitors and I think if I havent got pg in a few months then I will start using these. I was looking on the cb website and it says that you cant really use them after a mc until youve had 2 cycles anyway.
Hi kat sorry to hear about what you are going through and the fact that there is so much uncertainty. Hopefully we will all have some luck on this thread and it helps to hear that previously you fell so quickly after a mc.
Hi carikube sorry to see you on here. Its rubbish, isnt it? I keep hearing about the fact that you are meant to be super fertile after a mc I don't know if this is true or not though! And the stuff the hospital gave me to read says that recent studies have shown that getting pg again in first 6 months after mc supposedly reduces your risk of having a mc, although how true this is, I dont know
Hi Woody, am really pleased for you that you got a bfn. Must have been so confusing before. I haven't dared test, as I think I would have found it quite upsetting to get a +ve. (I dread to think how much I've spent on pg tests over the years too!). It is weird how long it's taken when everything 'finished' ages ago.
Fx for ovulation soon - have you had any signs? I think I ovulated this week. We have only dtd twice though, so I am not holding out much hope. Plus I am not entirely certain I have, just a feeling. I am also not going to bother with opks or anything for at least two months, might try them on month 3 if no success.
Hope you've all had a nice day. I was really tired today (after staying up to dtd last night - rock n roll!) so went to a very dull park this morning and made some fairy cakes this afternoon. DD at one point said 'lovely day doing nothing'. I don't think I've given her the most exciting day of her life!
Hey woody good news on bfn! It does make it easier to move on I think!
I also bought an opk- just a cheap one from amazon- and it seems to be a bit of a faff to use it!
Can't start till af so will wait!
Feel a lot better now and ready to move on!
Hope you've all had good weekends. I've spend quite a lot of it watching the Olympics
and crying at most of the medal ceremonies ! I do think that some of the press aren't celebrating the bronze and silver medals enough though.
Well I think that I might have ov this weekend - had pains and twinges on Saturday and there was some ewcm when I went to toilet. Then today I've had a tiny bit of pink tinged cm - sorry if this is TMI but there is no one that I can talk to about this in RL. So I think that I might be on the 2ww.
We are off on holiday for about 3 weeks in about 2 weeks time so I will test before I go (unless I've had AF) and if it's -ve, I'm just going to enjoy the holiday and wait until I get home to test (unless I get AF).
Good plan woody! Where u off to!?
I got of while I was in Bali so if u get bfn go for it on hols too!
I too think I ov'd this weekend as had twinge and cm. DTD this morning for first time since mc so not hopeful for bfp this month. Once I get af I will know where I am.
Agree re medals. Should celebrate all not just gold x
We are going to Australia - I'm so excited! I think it will take my mind off things, which is probably what I need. We are travelling round a bit and have some exciting things planned. I'm really exciting about seeing a platypus for some reason! And cuddling a koala!
I bought some ov sticks from tescos -couldn't resist when I was doing the online shop last night! Did one today and it was +ve so this would fit in with "symptoms" I've been having. Can't be totally sure that it's not got something to do with recent mc though. Think we'll just keep dtd regularly
which dh is -- definitely-- not complaining about
I was in Bali last June (actually got pg there) and spent time in Borneo with orang tangs as well. It was the most amazing part of the holiday so I can see where u coming from.
U using ov sticks???
Well, I ended up buying some cheap tesco own brand ones. Thought I'd try one and it came up +ve. I thought I might have ov over the wkend but from what I can work out, if the test is +ve it means that ov hasn't happened yet but is due to happen. TBH I have no idea.
I would love to go to Borneo and see the Orangutans!
My only slight worry about holiday is that we were planning to go scuba diving on great barrier reef. When we found out I was pg, I was going to snorkel instead. However, if there is a possibility that I could be pg, I don't know if I should scuba dive or not as you aren't meant to. Not sure what to do.
Wow Woody, Australia sounds amazing! I would put money on you finding a chemist when you're out there (well if you're anything like me!) so maybe see how it goes with the scuba diving.
I've just done some googling and this site looks quite useful: http://scubadiverlife.com/2010/12/12/diving-pregnancy/
While pregnant women should not scuba dive, there has been evidence that it is perfectly safe to dive during the first two to four weeks of pregnancy. During this time many women do not even know they are pregnant yet, so if you happened to go scuba diving during the very early stages of pregnancy then you can rest easy knowing that your baby is probably not in any harm.
I can understand your worry though. It's a tough one isn't it? On the one hand you want to enjoy a holiday of a lifetime and on the other you have this elephant in the room travelling in your suitcase!
Ah thanks posy
It has been crossing my mind to pack a few tests with me
but DH may think I am getting a bit obsessed!
AF may arrive and I won't have to worry about this at all...but I just don't know what to do. I won't have to make my mind up until we are on the boat so if nothing's happened, I will probably test then and if it is -ve assume that it's fine to scuba dive. And if it's +ve, I will.
I was so relaxed about getting pg before the mc because we had this booked (and a few other things arranged) but now I just feel desperate to become a mum.
I think I have ov (or am about to in next 24-36 hours) so am going to continue to dtd lots (every day if possible!) and hope for the best. So my 2ww will start on Thursday!
How are you feeling posy?
I would probably pack some tests. It is really tempting to leave it all behind and have a lovely holiday, but with the scuba diving element you are likely to have it on your mind anyway, so better to have a few in your bag (that you can always ignore because you are having such a fab time that you have forgotten all about ttc!) than to be worrying and have to find a chemist in a remote australian beach town (god I am jealous!)
I am feeling really fuzzy today - felt great over the weekend but pretty sure I ovulated this morning (woke up with sharp pains on RH side) and since then have felt terrible - bloated and tired, as though my body doesn't see the point in attracting the opposite sex anymore! We dtd on Sunday, so 36 hours before - now regretting my dvd instead of dtd last night! Onto the lovely 2ww...
Yes I think I will take a couple just in case, although if af comes I won't need them. I just wouldn't want to do anything that could be detrimental to a baby. I've always wanted to go to Australia and we are going to a few different places while we are there. In some ways, I wish we'd ended up booking to go a bit earlier so we were there now. I think that it would help me take my mind off ttc! I bought a book from amazon called The Baby-Making Bible, so I'm going to read this and see if I can get any tips. It's funny though because when I did get pg, I seem to have been doing quite a few things that are supposed to be detrimental to fertility. I have made a few changes though - we don't use ky jelly anymore and I've stopped taking ibuprofen.
Sorry that you aren't feeling great. I've read that it is best to have dtd before ovulation so fx. It's horrible all the uncertainty and waiting, isn't it?
Hi wpody I would do what post says and take a few tests with you just in case. But try to enjoy hols and forget about ttc for a few days. Australia ain't cheap and the last thing u want to do is not enjoy it.
I'm in a similar dilemma. I always have 2 long haul hols a year and was planning caribbean or south America early in the year but when I got pg I thought I should wait. Now I'm thinking I'll wait till late in the year to book it in case it does happen for me again. We never think of these other implications do we?
I now think I ovd today. Also only DTD on sun so may not be enough. I'm not hopeful this month as my pg plans are totally secret to DH as he has read the nhs thing about waiting for 3 months or at least one af so I can't make it obvious! Man I feel so devious.
Well a girls's gotta do what a girl's gotta do
Stupid phone meant woody and posy not post!
lolcbcb we went to South America last year - it was amazing. What are you planning on doing when you go?
I know it's hard getting the balance right between thinking about what might happen and not letting it all take over. We booked this holiday since we started ttc and knew we might have to make some adjustments but we also knew that nothing might have happened.
Well fx for a bfp in 2w time!
Am laughing at post!! I must admit I feel a bit like one today. I have been assured today that 1-2 days is optimal lol so Sunday might be OK for both of us - fingers crossed!
You're right Woody, the uncertainty is rubbish, but then the possibility is quite nice too I suppose. I wonder how long we'll all last before testing, ha ha.
So if I call you post u know it's my phone!
Oh so we seem to be at same place in cycle!? When will you poas?
I'm planning to resist till 25th as I have not had af since mc and dont want the heartache of bfn
Maybe we can do ur together?
Woody I was actually born in Brazil so south America is not that exotic for me. However DH would love to go. The plan is to go to Peru & inca trail type stuff. Let's see.
I'd rather wait a few years till baby is older
cause I'm not scared of not getting pg again
When we went, we did the Inca Trail, Amazon jungle, Ecuador, Galapagos Islands and Rio. It was incredible. I definitely wouldn't want to do the inca trail pg though!
I reckon I'll test on Sunday 19th but this will be a bit before my 2ww is over. If that's -ve, ill test on the Tuesday just before we go away. And if that's -ve, ill wait until before we are due to go diving. It's also difficult to work out dates, especially as I have no idea when af will arrive!
Yeah would not venture south America if pg. might choose a Caribbean cruise instead. That's why I am not booking it yet. I am
certain hopeful I will be of b4 then!
Think your poas plan is perfect. I'm determined to wait till 25th to avoid heart ache.
Yes I am trying to be +ve as well! I think that if I haven't fallen by November, we will book to go to New York around New Year.
I've always fancied a cruise. I'd also love to go somewhere like Maldives/Seychelles - thinking that might be nice and relaxing post-pregnancy!
I have been lurking on your post and I wondered if I could join you? It seems like I am in a similar position to a lot of you. MC a couple of weeks ago with first pg at 6.5 weeks. Were just trying to work out what the best move is now. Can I get your advice? I have done a couple of pg tests to see if the hormones are gone and they are showing a very very faint line. I used the Superdrug own brand ones which I have since realised are very sensitive. I just wondered if I am ok to start TTC or should wait until there is absolutely no line? What are the risks if we do start? Think we have agreed not to wait for AF but it seems more practical as at least you know where you are!!
Only small problem is that we haven't actually DTD for about a month now and it is starting to be the elephant in the room...hmmm
P.s woody I see you are on here this post too - hi!
Sorry to hear you had a mc too.
As far as I know you are not fertile until you get a -ve test so u really need to wait to ttc.
Don't think there are any risks. The general opinion seems to be wait for af so as you can date pg. but lots of people don't wait.
I too only DTD for the first time last weekend after mc and just had to go for it as I think DH was scared of touching me and hurting me!
Hi had a mc at 13 weeks and had a d&c on the 20 July. Has anyone any idea of when I may possibly ovulate again? Any ideas at all especially from ladies who have managed to conceive after m/c. I'm 42 and want to try as soon as possible. Many thanks x
Hi almond we have been dtd lots since I stopped bleeding - this is before I got a -ve. We decided not to wait for af and just to see if it happens. I read somewhere that the only issue with not waiting for af is that you can then end up being confused about dates and possibly getting upset if scans don't show you to be as far along as you think...if that makes sense? I've said this before but I was really relaxed about getting pg before my mc but since it happened, I've just felt absolutely desperate to get pg again. Waiting for af just didn't feel like an option. GP and doctors at EPU said we could start again as soon as bleeding stopped.
Hi littlepinkfizz - sorry to hear about your mc. I've only got pg once and this ended in a mc so I can't really help. From this site, it seems that people ov at different times after a mc. Are you getting -ve pg tests yet? From what I understand, you won't ov until this happens. I have ended up buying some ov sticks and they showed a surge on Monday so I think I will have ov since then...supposedly it happens 12-48 hours after the surge.
It's a horrible time after a mc. FX that we all get BFPs soon.
Hi Everyone, how are you all doing? Its been roughly 4 weeks from my MC, and I'm eagerly waiting AF or BFP. Just want to see one or the other, as I'm getting impatient! DH says at least if AF comes then we can start 'for real' this time, because this post-MC cycle has been so wonky, and I just kind of guessed on when I ov'd etc. I poas yesterday and it was BFN so will try again tomorrow.
littlepinkfizz sorry to hear about MC. The knowing when you ov after mc thing is so tricky!! I guessed when I did by paying attention to cramping and ewcm, but for everyone it will be different. I guess thats the one good thing about waiting for AF because then the following cycle you'll have a much better guess at Ov.
Almond, as woody and lolcbcd says above you're fine to DTD even though you're still getting +ve tests but you probably won't Ov until you start getting -ve's. Sorry to hear about mc! 6.5 weeks was about how far I was too
Hi jessie I really really really hope you get a BFP. I know what you mean about AF as well - at least if that is what happens, we will know where we are. I know I'll be gutted when it arrives
but maybe it will stop me obsessing so much
I'm trying not to symptom spot - even though it's near impossible. I really thought I was ov but then still had +ve test so don't think it would have been possible. Who knows? Glad I'm on the 2ww now (at least I think I am!).
Really looking forward to getting away - think the time away will be good.
I've said on another thread, but I've bought 'The Baby-Making Bible' - going to read this and see if there are any tips!
Welcome almond and littlepinkfizz*. Sorry to hear about your mcs. I didn't poas after mc, so I just started dtd again a few days after I stopped bleeding, which the doctor said was fine. I think I ovulated a week after I usually would have done, counting the first day of heavy bleeding as day 1, but it's been a bit confusing. I will almost be pleased to get AF and know what's happening next month (though I wouldn't say no to a BFP!!!!!)
Jessie I have my fingers crossed for a bfp for you!!! When is AF due, and when are you going to test again? From my ov symptoms I think I am about a week later than I usually would be this time, so I am hoping to wait to poas next weekend, around 18th or 19th.
Hi posy I am hoping to be able to start testing at the end of next weekend (although this will be quite early!). Think I either want the BFP or AF just to know where I am...although would obviously much rather get the BFP.
I've had a tiny tiny amount of spotting today - I am wondering if it could be implantation bleeding but I think I am just hoping for this!
Off to the Olympics tomorrow - can't wait!
My OH caught me on here last night when he thought I was 'reading in bed'! He thinks I'm obsessing but hey ho I like keeping up with you all. Also I'm half way through the 2nd 50 shades of grey and I'm finding it tedious. Maybe reading about rampant sex is a bit much after a MC?!
So...we tried to DTD for the first time this morning and it didn't go well. We did do the deed but with no end product (if u see what I mean). Feel a bit bad for OH as I think he feels under terrible pressure. I'm away now for the weekend so I think I've missed my OV but don't really know. I'm hoping we can get over this but think there is a bit of a mental blocker on his part.
Woody let me know if the book is any good. What sport are you seeing? I'm gutted we didn't get tickets now!
Good luck to all those hoping for BFP!! Fingers crossed .
Hi almond. I feel for yours and all of ours DH too! I think we tend to forget they also get e lot of pressure to produce the goods.
My DH won't even be able to get it up if he feels pressured into it so I need to make a pass at him as if nothing is happening! I'm still mastering it, especially after mc.
Good luck to everyone poas today!
Hi almond that's a similar story in our house sometimes - it's definitely about the pressure!
Woody what did you see? I will be so jealous if it was Mo Farah! (though I am jealous anyway)
I am going to see if I can get the OH to try and DTD again tonight. Just want this WTF cycle over (AF should be here in 2 weeks time if my cycle is anywhere near normal) then I was going to suggest EOD to him. At the moment I think it would be a bit too much to ask! Instead I am going to shut up about cycle days, getting pregnant etc (difficult as it is what I think about 90% of the time) and just hope that relaxes him a bit! We will see...
Woody how was the olympics? What did you see? am looking forward to the closing ceremonies tonight!
Almond I agree that talking about "cycle days", etc always seems to freak out my DH, and he feels very pressured! We just try to do EOD the whole month... We've also tried to "sexy" things up a bit to make the DTD thing less of a chore. What worked really well this month is we made up fake email accounts and for several days would exchange very sexy emails from our alter egos This really got DH in the mood..
Now that said, we've taken a break the last week because I definitely think I Ov'd 2 weeks ago, and we were knackered, so now I'm just waiting for AF or BFP. Have had neither yet and am testing every 48 hours with FMU. However, the last 3 days I have had VERY tender boobs! I really don't want to get my hopes up, and it may just be a symptom of the start of a horrendous post-mc AF, but omg I would be so happy if it were a bfp...
Jessie when will you poas? If u ov'd 2 weeks ago it should be around now?
This wtf cycle is driving me up the wall as well.
Thought I ov'd last week then had cramps for last two days as well as a bit of spotting.
have not got carried away with this possibility and have not googled what my due date would be
Am now hoping against hope that I am one of the lucky ones too! Can u imagine how cool it would be if a few of us got pg 1st cycle?!
So now I'm tempted to test on the 17th as I don't think I'll be able to wait another week.
Do any of you live in London?
Hi Jessie & Lol
I really hope u both get a BFP this month! We didn't end up doing it last night despite my best attempts and wearing some sexier nightwear! I'd been away the weekend so thought that would help except OH was shattered as he's been busy doing DIY/sport. Can't help feel annoyed but don't know what to do. According to my ovulation app it should have been yest. Not entirely convinced it was as the OPK hasn't had a smiley face yet. First time I've used them so don't know how likely you are to get its positive every month. Really don't want to miss the opportunity to try this month but I'm sure my snapping at OH isn't helping either! Arr!
Also got post Olympics/Mon am blues which isn't helping. Anyone else?
Yeah I'm off work today and can't find anything on the telly! Lack of Olympics sucks.
Are you planning to poas? When?
This is my first official tww and I'm not doing well . Obsessed doesn't begin to describe it!
Lol I could have done a duvet day for sure today so envious of your day off!! My AF should technically be here around 26th. We haven't fully DTD yet so can't imagine there is much hope now. Unless I have OV v late and we actually get some nooky in! Bought some diff OV kits (sticks u wee on rather than silly CB smiley face thing which seems temperamental)! Not obsessed either ! I also found out I was pg v early last time which made the whole MC worse I think so I will try and not do it early (but it's soo hard)!
When r u poas?? Fingers crossed
Almond only problem about being off is more time to
obsess think about being pg!
Question- what do you consider cd1? Would u say it's the day you started bleeding with mc, or the day you physically lost the baby, or the day you stopped?
I started on 17th July and generally have 31 day cycle so should be due 17/18. I was going to wait and only poas on 25th but that's not going to happen
So I might do it fri or sat. What do u reckon? I'm so scared of a bfn I almost dont want to find out which is very stupid!
Hi Lol, I understand you count from the first day of heavy bleeding (which for me was when I lost the sac). But I think I'm about 5 days behind even that, going from my ovulation symptoms. It's tricky isn't it - will be much less confusing next month!
I think I'm going to wait til Saturday to test personally. I miscarried on 19th July and think I only ovulated last Mon/Tue, so think any earlier would be too early. To be honest though, I am also scared of poas, and might even delay it - I don't have that burning desire to do it this month. Just feel scared of whatever it might say!
Hi girls! Well I'm just so confused: a classic symptom of the WTF cycle! Its been 16 days since I think I Ov'd, but no AF and no BFP. I have testing using Internet cheapies. I think I will wait 3 more days and then test with the remaining Clearblue digital I have in the house (left over from last pregnancy). I'm beginning to think maybe I didn't Ov when I think I did. I'm only going off one day when I had really strong ov pains, but maybe I didn't release the egg till several days later, oh who knows.
I do have major symptoms: sore boobs, exhaustion, nausea, etc. But as I said above it could also be the prequel to AF so I really have no idea!!
Okay I will next poas on Thursday AM and will let you know how it goes!
Lol I also counted CD1 from the day of heavy bleeding/passing clots. I spotted, lightly bleed for a full week before that but never passed anything.
Fx posy, woody, and other testers!
Was really nice to go away for the weekend (just to my mum and dads house) but to be honest, I completely forgot about ttc. Just saw family, ate good food, drunk nice wine, enjoyed some cider in the sunshine Olympics were brilliant we saw the diving and the atmosphere was electric! I felt like I was back to how I was before the mc for the first time since it happened. I think I am going to try and relax about it again
although this is probably easier said than done.
Almond yes of course I will let you know what the book is like and if there are any tips that I can share. I dont want to do anything drastic but since mc, Ive found out that KY Jelly is bad for sperm and ibruprofen isnt the best thing to take when ttc.
I know what you all mean about the pressure on DH. I feel like dtd the deed has become very much about ttc rather than enjoying it etc. I dont really want this to happen so I think I need to relax and not try to dtd every day. This is one thing that has put me off using ov sticks/kits when DH was too tired to dtd but I thought I needed to because of result on stick, I found myself getting really angry inside. I dont want to end up like this so I think Im going to leave the ov sticks for the time being and just aim for dtd at least 3 times a week.
Ive never really spoken to DH about cycle days etc as I dont think the pressure would help! And I almost think he doesnt need to know.
Jessie I like the email idea! I really hope that you get your BFP soon. It might just be too early to show? For me, I did find that the internet cheapies werent as sensitive as the CB digital ones when I was waiting for my ve.
Lolcbcb I really hope we all get pg this cycle.
I keep having nausea and have been really tired today and slept a lot at the weekend. I did have a tiny amount of dark blood (it was almost purple) when I wiped today. I dont know if this is the start of AF or something else although I havent had anything else since.
Lol - the midwife told me to consider my CD1 to be the heaviest day of bleeding of the miscarriage which was the 29 July for me. So I should be on CD16 today. I have been using the CB ovulation things but no smiley yet. Just hoping it comes in next few days as really want to get a BFP with you all ! If it was me I would try my best to hold out for 25th but knowing me I would cave in and get a First Response test a couple of days before! Keep me posted!! Also, I dont live in London (Bristol) but I am from Surrey originally.
Jessie - big fingers crossed for Thursday! I am still plucking up the courage to mention the email idea to OH. OH and I have always been pretty straight laced so not sure what his reaction would be although I like the idea!!
Posy - where are you in your cycle?
Woody - sounds like you had a lovely weekend too. I went home to see my family too and did a lot of similar things (apart from the Olympics). It certainly took my mind off things. We got pg the first time but just doing it x3 a week and didnt really think about it let alone obsess about CD days/OPK but funny how things change when you have had a MC isnt it. I didnt even know about these things until this month!!
Question - do you guys always get the change in discharge (forgotten abbreviation) around ovulation? Keeping an eye out for that now...
Thanks for the answers girls. I think my heavy bleeding started on thu 19th July so I might not be due until 20/21st. Really should not poas. Let's see
I agree how things have completely changed since mc. Some for the best I have to say. Before mc I didn't know MN
I also don't want to get too obsessed and will not involve DH in ttc conversation. He will not get it and I will end up putting him off DTD altogether.
So we have a few poas soon! Let's keep fx!
Hello ladies! Jessie I am loving your email idea - I missed that when you first wrote it. Seriously considering suggesting it to DH but he is so rubbish at things like that - could be quite funny though!
I agree Lol that mc has had a hidden silver lining - it is lovely to have 'met' all you other mums who have been through the same thing for example!
Woody I am SO jealous that you saw the diving! I was watching it on the TV, must have been fabulous to have been there.
Almond I used to live in Bristol! I am on CD27 but only 8dpo. I am definitely not testing until at least the weekend, because last time I didn't get a line til CD13, and even then it was very very very faint, as Woody will vouch for ;) So I think I'm a late liner! Which is quite good to know as I now have no desire to test early and get a rubbishly uncertain BFN. Would rather wait and get a definite one so I can stop thinking about it.
Woody I know what you mean about pressure on DH. We dtd on Sunday afternoon while LO was napping and it was lovely - spontaneous, fun, relaxing. Whereas when you're busy totting up CDs and thinking about ewcm it's not such a turn on, and the men can probably sense that too.
My strategy is to not use OPKs and just to try and dtd on about day 11, day 13 and day 15, or whenever I see ewcm, which for my cycle is usually around then. I then usually give up 'trying', and then we just do it when we feel like it. It's a rough version of the smep, without having to think about it too much or enlist DH in too much scheduling!
ps ... didn't get a line til 13dpo, not CD13 - sorry, confusing myself with all these acronyms!
Yes posy I am also going to avoid OPKs for a while.
Have had some brown discharge today - not sure if it's start of af but it's only there when I wipe. Will have to wait and see...
I was thinking of giving up the OPKs too as I don't seem to be having much luck with them (but that could be the WTF cycle as I only started after the mc). But asked my OH last night how he felt about me discussing OV days with him and he said he wanted to know so we could target our efforts. He's an engineer so likes targets and practical things! So despite me feeling depressed with every passing day that there is no surge I will perservere!
We DTD last night and it was much better (more relaxed) but still no end product as OH had a hypo!!! He's diabetic and forgot to sugar load beforehand. He's promised to try again tonight so we will see but I'm CD17 now so chances of get pg this month are slim now .
Woody hope it's not the witch!!
Posy where do u live now? We live in Southville if you know it. Small world.
I'm also not very convinced about opk. They seem to be too much of a faff and I worry it will obsess me even more. It's not like I need it! So I will give it a miss for a couple of months and re-access the situation then.
Posy- I'm not a mum yet but I know what u meant!
I'm getting a bit confused with poas plans etc for this thread. Is anyone doing it this week?
Ah yes Lol I meant mumsnetters, brain not working this week after I stayed up to watch the olympic ceremony on Sunday then couldn't sleep all night! Still recovering now.
Almond I used to live in Southville! A long time ago though - I'm in Hampshire now but still have friends in Bristol - it's a fab place.
Hi all, just wondered if i could join you? I mc at 6.5w almost two weeks ago with my first pregnancy and we've just started ttc again this weekend just gone. We decided not to wait and jut have fun this month as we dont know when i'll ovulate and we're not uing opks either.
Ladies am so very very pleased to announce the threads first BFP!!!!!
Am shaking as I write this!! After 8 days of getting BFNs on internet cheapies I broke out the CB digital and got a pregnant 1-2 weeks! I had initially predicted ovulation around 18 days ago, so obviously I released the egg later than I thought. This happened when I fell pregnant with DD where my dates didn't quite match the conception dates, and midwife said DHs sperm must be lingerers...
So DH and I had a moment of excitement, and now enter a new phase of worrying!! I started spotting last time around 5.5 weeks so will be knicker checking like crazy. The only difference this time from MC last month is I'm experiencing way more symptoms now (sore boobs, weird taste in mouth, tiredness and nausea) and didn't really have any last time. So hopefully thats a good sign!
Thanks to all of you for all your support, this thread has been such a lifesaver.
Fx for more BFPS!
Ooooh Jessie this is amazing news!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep us posted on how u getting on.
I'm sure this will be a sticky one
Lots of love to you and your family xx
jessie I'm so so happy for you - that's brilliant! I really hope that everything goes well. I can't imagine how you must be feeling at the moment.
Oh my god, that's AMAZING Jessie! Woo!!!!! I'm so chuffed for you. And how brilliant that this thread has a bfp already! Just goes to show you were right about your feeling not to wait.
I've only done a digital one once and can still remember how in shock I was when it said 'pregnant' - there is no two ways of interpreting that is there? So pleased for you. xxx
Thanks girls! I am so elated! Just nervous though for the next few weeks. I'm going to take it easy and try to eat healthy, etc. And trying to not worry too much!!
Jessie AMAZING news!!!! So happy for you. Just test up and let ur OH pamper you!!!
Fingers crossed for the rest of us now! We actually completed the deed last night do I can officially enter the game! AF due 26th...! Not holding out much hope but u never know if I've ovulated late!
Also welcome Vix. I have been through exactly the same as you. Mc 31st at 6.5 weeks. Back TTC too, only DTD once so far do hoping for late OV!
hi vix hope you are ok.
Can I just say I am feeling sooooo sick. Haven't been able to eat since yesterday afternoon and I can't even bear the smell of food. Just feel so bleugh....
jessiecongrats! So pleased for you!
Thanks guys, its nice to be able to talk openly bout the mc, worries, ttc etc as none of my RL friends dont really get it.
woody hope you feel better soon! Could these be erly pg signs?
ooo woody early preg symptoms?? fx!!
Almond I definitely think I ov'd later than normal, and I've heard of many others having a longer than normal cycle post mc so your timing might be spot on! I would say keep at it for the next week just to be sure
Jessie what CD do you think ovulated? Fingers crossed for me!
Woody ooo when are you poas??
Vic I feel the same. It's so lovely to have support on her and ask silly questions! At least we're not alone
I felt strong Ov pains starting on CD14 (counting CD1 as the first day of heavy bleeding in the mc, and the day I passed clots). But conception must have occurred more like CD 18 I think.. that would make sense with my dates
I would love this nausea to be an early symptom but not sure if it's too early! I suppose I don't really know when I did ov but I think I'm going to start poas from Saturday. I still think this will be too early but I've got a night out on Sat night and wouldn't want to drink if I am.
Jessie I'm CD 18 so fingers crossed I can still catch that egg!!
Woody let's hope it is a BFP! Keep us posted!
Hello Vix, welcome! Sorry to have missed you earlier in the excitement of Jessie's BFP. I am sorry to hear about your mc. Hope you're feeling OK now. We are all in the same boat here, ie going for it again straight away! I do feel more relaxed this time, I have to say.
Oooh Woody am getting excited for you now. I am also testing on Saturday! I have also ordered some HPTs online, so I am prepared in advance, rather than doing my usual chemist dash. How organised is that? Almond I think I ovulated about CD20 this time, as opposed to about day 15ish usually. You might definitely still be in!
Hi posy! I'm also very proud of myself for being organised. Ordered 5 nhs type tests online as well as 2 cb digital so as I'm ready!
Now just need to be brave and poas.
hi Posy, thanks for your message.
Fx for you lol - i've got a coupe of cheapie tests left over so am going to use those up before i buy anymore.
First day back in work for me today which does feel strange! Everyone knows i've been off sick but only a couple know why. People keep asking me if i feel ok and i just say 'yes thanks' and leave it at that. I know they mean well but i wish they could just let me get on with it!
think i felt ov pains yesterday but we had friends staying last night so need to dtd tonight to try and catch the eggy! I never tell DH when i'm ov'ing as he feels pressuried then and it doesn't end well!!
Lol my bathroom cabinet looks like a mini version of boots. I literally have 10 pg tests and 60 OPK sticks! So I'm prepared too! Going to poas on 26th if no AF before.
We DTD again last night so feeling a bit more hopeful. Had some cramping over last week but don't know if it's OV pain. We'll keep trying though just in case.
Vix hope work is ok. I was a bit like that and just told everyone I'd had a kidney infection. A few people know but TBH it's almost worse as they try to say things like 'it wasn't meant to be' or 'better luck next time'. Which isn't what you want to hear! I haven't told many of my friends either as I don't really want to have the same with them either. Have you told many friends?
i don't use opks but i find if i have any hpt's in i tend to use them everyday and get a bit obsessed!! I don't feel as guilty if i use the cheapie ones but gonna try and be more relaxed this time!
We've told a couple of friends whats happened but not many. I also skate in a roller derby team so i've had to tell the coaches as i've just started skating again but not doing any contact drills until i feel 100% (lost a bit of confidence with being off my skates for a month!).
I tend to find that i'm generally ok with it now but if people know and they start being nice about it i just get upset again which i don't want to do (especially at work!).
FX crossed for you almond!
hi everyone, Hope you don't mind if I join. I've had 2 m/cs over the last 5 months. Preg in April then mc at 6 weeks, then preg again end July and m/c at 5 1/2 weeks. My first m/c was a year before at about 8-9 weeks but I knew things weren't developing as my HP test kept reading '1-2 weeks' of development for weeks!
Am TTC again and hope 3rd time this year will be a charm. For 42 I seem to get pregnant easy but body just doesn't keep the pregnancy. This time I waited for my period which has turned out to be carnage(!) but will be trying again in a few weeks time even though DP is 'sick of doing it'. nice!!
woops just realized the dates I posted were all wrong - its so hard to keep track but my mc was sometime in April and the next in early or mid July....
Hi suzie. Welcome and sorry you find yourself here. Have u had any successful pregnancies yet?
I haven't and am working on it!
Almond my friend at work said the same thing! I've a mini boots being slowly delivered at work!
Hi Suzy, welcome! sorry to hear about your miscarriages, that must have been really stressful to miscarry twice in a short space of time. Fingers crossed you'll get to keep one your pregnancy next time! My DH also gets sick of dtd around ovulation time. He pulls a face as though I've suggested visting my mother!
Hi Suzy! Welcome to the gang.
Sorry too to hear about your mc. Sounds like you have been through the mill with it but we are a good bunch here to support you through (if I do say so myself )!
So ladies...question. Only got a few CB digital OPK sticks left. I havent had a smiley face on them yet (been testing for a couple of weeks). Do I use what I have got an then forget about them or order some more? They are expensive bad boys but in someway I quite like the control or testing or at least thinking I will at least I know I will know when I have ovulated! I cant help but feel I have missed my OV this month but who knows. This is the WTF cycle after all!
Posy giving my OH a night off as he was starting to pull that exact same face as yours!! Not to mention the amount of food he is having to consume to 'fuel up'!
I've not given it to expensive cb ov sticks yet so can't give u any advice I'm afraid. I can't get my head around them! What does the smile face actually mean? That you are ovulating on that day!?
Maybe stop them if u think u missed it so as not to waste any?
Hi thx for the welcome! I'm not so sure about the ov sticks. The time I've used them I've had no luck and the times I haven't.... Pregnant. When I got pregnant with my dd we dtd way before I was to ovulate so maybe it's all about the timing of the sperm.. Maybe some have a short life and others are more prone to hang around.
There is nothing more frustrating than getting pg by mistake, having normal pregnancy then years later when you really want it.... nada! Sods law!
I'll be ovulating over the long wknd so lots of time to try....
Hi Almond I don't use OPKs I'm afraid so have no advice, but I did hear that in the first cycle they can be confusing to use because of old pregnancy hormones. I have decided to have a couple of cycles not using them, then buy some if I'm having no luck. I go by ewcm monitoring (nice!), and did notice it this time, despite it being the WTF cycle (it was then that I pounced and got 'the face')
PS, having thought about it though, I reckon if you've had no smiley face yet then you can't have ovulated yet - I would have thought it would be more likely to give a smiley face reading that isn't true, than a not smiley face that isn't true! (but that is only a supposition - like I say I haven't used them)
Fwiw, I from my cm I ovulated at least 5 days after I was expecting I might, based on start of mc.
Hi everyone, I mc two days ago, had the scan confirming it all yesterday. We were only ttc for 5 months, but mc last year too. Dp wants to try again straight away, I'm not sure if I can deal with the waiting again, every month hoping you don't get AF. How do you all cope with the waiting when ttc after a mc?
hi suzy and panda sorry to hear about your mc's, i've found this group of lovely ladies to be wonderful so you'll be well taken care of!
I usually work from cm and and ov pains to pinpoint ovulation (and rough dates as well) and just to try dtd every couple of days during that time.
we'd been ttc since the beginning of the year but we had a couple of months of one us being ill so not much happened then. The one month we're we had loads of social activities and lots of drinks and i didn't watch dates or anything was the month we conceived (beg of July) so sometimes i think the body needs to be relaxed to let it happen.
Panda i think the way i'm dealing with the waiting is by throwing myself into other things as well. I enjoy doing craft stuff so while i've been off work i've got all my stuff out and organised it and planned what i'm going to work on next etc. do you have something else to take your mind off it?
Didn't manage to dtd last night as DH had an upset tummy will try again for tonight !
Quick question --- I've been given a referral to the fertility clinic here in Oxford as I've now had 3 miscarriages... has anyone else had tests at a fertility clinic like this. I have a feeling they will just say that it's age (I had my m/cs at 39, 42 and 42) and luck (or lack thereof).
Would love to know if anyone else has been there and what's involved. I don't want to do IVF I just want a test to know what's up!
Suzy I'm sorry u gone through this 3 times. Once is bad enough for me. I don't know about age though. I'm 38 and not been told that.
Panda welcome and sorry. It must all be very raw for you still. I try to take my mind off babies and focus on work. I've enough to worry there!
Vix where are you on your cycle?
Hi, can I join, I've been following you for a few weeks anyway after I had a mc in may but after having my second confirmed yesterday feel itd be nice to chat with others who know how it feels,
I have used opk for a long time and always get a + days 17-19 but after mc in may the next wtf cycle was cd23 so alot later then normal I didn't think it would happen by that time but I think it depends on how pg you were when mc and how long your levels take to drop before your body realises it needs to ov again
Suzy I've not had fertility tests but it wont be anything to do with ivf, you don't have a problem getting pregnant and ivf doesn't have a higher success rate, it will be for things like checking your progesterone levels or sticky blood etc
Woody your being very strong holding out on testing
suzy i think it is standard practice to be referred when you experience 3 miscarriages. Don't know what will be involved but fingers crossed you get an answer.
lol i think i'm on CD15/16 based on the CD1 being the day i mc'd.
hi kitty so sorry to hear about your losses. It's def helping me to be be ablo to chat to others who know what you're going through. V x
That is really dreadful - 2 m/cs in the space of a few months. What's particularly rubbish is you have one and accept it as a fact of life but then the 2nd one you can't help but think - 'again?!!!' Very unfair!
I hope you're doing okay. I got p/g right away after my last m/c so there is definitely hope and hope that two m/cs wont put you off trying again.
Welcome here too kitty. We are a Lovely bunch
And we have had a bfp on this thread so it might be the lucky one after mc!
I'm not put off trying again, I really want a sibling for dd but at the same time I'm not in a desperate haze I was following the last mc where I just had to be pregnant right away, I may change as the weeks go on but then it was like nothing I'd ever felt where as right now I just feel the need to step back abit but I think that is because I found this one harder and more mentally draining, your right with accepting one as bad luck but feeling this time why me. I don't deserve this again.....
It's hard, still it's difficult to make head nor tail of this next cycle so part of me thinks lets just see what happens, the last one was the cycle after af, I'm hoping the tests go negatively quickly this time as hcg only 500 odd yesterday
A lots happened on here in a morning! Welcome newbies!
Kitkats - so sorry to hear about ur 2 in a row. TBH that is one of my major fears but just try to stay optimistic! What OPKs do u use? I'm new to them and doing CB Digital in morning and Boots own in evening. I'm on CD20 and no luck yet.
Suzy welcome too. So sorry to hear about your losses too. There is another thread similar to this one that had lots of people pings ping through fertility checks. Can't remember the name but have a look and you might find it. I've only had 1 mc so no experience of tests yet.
Panda hope your ok. I felt very confused and emotional just after my mc and now 3 weeks on feel a lot stronger and more positive about TTC. I got to the point where the 2WW was worth enduring for the chance to be pg again!!
Posy/Lol - CD20 and still no LH surge but CM changing and getting watery (tmi) so hoping its just v late and I'm still in for Aug BFP!!!
Almond I've used cheep and cb digi, I used to use cheep until I got what I thought was a + then use the digi to confirm saving myself money lol that in mind I always got a + every month on cheepies anyway and it was always right, my cycle after mc was cd23 so I'd keep going, one women told me and this is the only time I've ever heard someone say it but she'd had a few mc and if you counted cd1 as the day you stoped bleeding it always tied in with her normal cycles
panda I hope you're ok. I felt so emotional after my mc but I feel much stronger now.
Hi suzy so sorry to hear about your mc. I've found this thread really helpful since mine. I think we might have been in the same March group?
kitty I am so sorry about your mc. Thinking of you.
posy fx that you get a bfp tomorrow!
Well, af came today for me - first one since mc. At least it means the end of the wtf cycle. Even a few days ago, I was desperate to get pg this cycle. But I've been having a tiny amount of spotting and brown discharge when I wiped - I started to think that actually this is probably a sign that my body isn't quite ready for another pg. Perhaps I need this time to recover totally before I do get pg again. I think this is why I hadn't tested yet - I almost knew that my body wasn't right. I'm also going to try not to symptom spot next month
although I'm sure I will! As I said earlier in the thread, I'm off to Australia next week for about 3 weeks and I will now be able to scuba dive on great barrier reef. I would have much rather been pg but this hasn't happened. And hopefully by the time I actually get to Australia, af will be over! I think that the holiday will be perfect for lots of relaxed and enjoyable dtd so hopefully I will get lucky and get pg in September and conceive an Australian baby!
Woody is it still brown spotting or have you started af properly?
I found af after mc very heavy like my body did need to clear out and got pg the second cycle but that was almost more messed up then the first! Hopefully not for you!
What better way to get over it then a holliday to oz!
Well feel a little positive today. Yesterday I was at a bday party and one of the girls at work said to me - how come u have lost so much weight? Have u had a miscarriage?
I then told her the truth and the told me she had 4! She has 4 kids, her last one born when she was 43. She said - I know it is heart breaking but it means you can make a baby and that is more than many people! Now that it happened it will happen again for you. This was a practice run and next time you will make a perfect baby!
Feel slightly cheered up.
kitty af started properly yesterday. It's not too heavy but there are quite a few clots etc. When the brown discharge didn't stop and had tiny clot things in it, I just felt that my body obviously wasn't ready for a new pg yet. Yes I am so excited about Australia - think it also helps that af will almost be over when I leave and I'll be due a few days after I get back. Think this month will go by really quickly.
Glad you are feeling more positive lolcbcb
Sorry to hear that AF has arrived Woody, but at least the WTF cycle is over and you will know more where you are next month. At least you can now go on your amazing holiday and properly relax, and forget about ttc, and who knows, you might be posting on your return about your surprise Aussie BFP!
PS I haven't tested today as my HPTs haven't arrived in the post yet... Am thinking I might wait til Monday anyway, as I am only 11dpo and last time I only got a positive at 13dpo. Though that might change if my HPTs arrive today of course!
Woody your holiday sounds amazing and will def help with forgetting about TTC. I am still very much in 2 minds. One side of me would love to get a BFP this month but the other feels my body may not be ready. I keep getting some weird crampy pains in my uterus area. Not period like, more like the v early stages of mc. I'm hoping it's nothing to worry about. My AF is due a wk tomor but I think my cycle is out of synch it may be later. When did yours come? Have an amazing time in Oz and enjoy the scuba diving!!!
Posy ooo fingers crossed for you!
Woody am so sorry to hear about AF but as the others have said its good that the wtf cycle is over, and now this new cycle is a fresh new start!! And it sounds like you're having the right positive attitude about this, and really understanding where your body is at. I bet you'll have a wonderful time in Aus, enjoy the scuba diving, and of course the DTD You'll have your BFP in no time I'm sure!
Have all of u lovely ladies had af after mc? I'm still on wtf cycle and hoping against hope I'm pg. have all sorts off
made up symptoms!!!
Af due today or tomorrow which means its one month I've lost my baby. That is sad.
U guys have helped do much, you've no idea x
I am still on the WTF cycle too...bloody taking ages it feels! I am on CD22 so should
in theory get my AF a week today. I think it will be late as still not convinced I have OV yet. I think it will be tourtours if I get to Sun and still no AF or BFP. Are you poas soon (cant remember where everyone is)??
Af should come today or tomorrow as its one month since I've lost my baby
I'll poas on sat if it's not here yet. Don't want to do it during the week as I'm covering a huge branch and can't be upset about bfn. My boss gave me this opportunity to prove myself as I'm next in line for promotion
although I'd much rather be on mat leave so I don't want to mess it up.
Will poas sat if nothing till then. Will u do it sat too? We could set a date
What do you do work? I know how you feel, one of our directors came in the day I went back to work after my mmc and sat me down and said I was on a 'succession plan' and what did I want out of my career
blah blah and I was like you! I just wanted to reply 'I want to be pregnant and on mat leave thank you very much!'. Oh well, bad timing I guess!
I was going to test on Sunday...we can have a test weekend! I have got a million pg tests so thought I would waste one trying
nice PMA! I think this week is going to be long but at least we have the bank holiday to look forward to! x
I'm a branch manager in a bank. What about you?
Yeah exactly I am on a succession plan too! My boss is also my friend but there is only so much I can say. Cause if I'm not preg I'll take the promotion so need to keep the door open.
Yay let's test sat!
Anyone else want to join us?
I have 8 tests available at home. 5 nhs type ones from amazon, 2 boots ones and 2 cb digital which I will only use if the others are bfp.
Let's hope af doesn't show till sat x
I work as part of the landlord team of a big shopping centre so based there onsite doing operations and lease enquires etc. Ive been doing it awhile and planning a career change (baby dependent) in next couple of years as I'm not sure it's what I want to do forever!
Sat it is!! Also forgot to mention it but sorry about it being 1 month on . Fingers crossed for that BFP xx
Fingers crossed for you guys testing next weekend. I'm still on the WTF cycle, think i ov on Friday so prob about 2 weeks till AF.
woody sorry af has arrived but hope you have a fab holiday, the barrier reef is amazing!
Hi Lol my mc was a month ago tomorrow too
My WTF cycle officially ended today as AF arrived (not before I dived into a Boots on a whim and did a two pack of tests, ha ha). Although in a way I am glad it's over now and I can get back to 'normal' (though a BFP would have obviously been good too!)
Hope you're all doing well. Jessie how are you feeling? xx
Hi, thanks for all of your lovely replies. I'm doing my dissertation just now so that's keeping me busy but I don't want to be too busy to think about it iykwim. On Friday I had to go to the library to work on my dissertation but just wanted to stay in bed all day, I felt like just getting up and getting on with life was me just moving on and forgetting about it as if it wasn't important.
DP and I have decided to try again though, I've stopped bleeding now but am not sure when I will ovulate, is it 2 weeks after the mc or 2 weeks after the bleeding stops?
I'm jealous Woody, Australia is beautiful , I hope you enjoy yourself!
I'll keep my fingers crossed for everyone testing this weekend xxx
Oh just seen your post posypoo (what a slow typer I must be!!), really sorry
Hi Pedantic, no worries!
I know what you mean - I went to Peppa Pig world the next day with my LO (so not exactly relaxing!), but I made sure I had a day to myself to do nothing later on in the week though.
From my symptoms I think I ovulated 20 days after passing the sac, and AF arrived 12 days after that. Everyone is different though of course. We started ttc again straight away, but it was about 2 weeks after the bleeding started that it stopped, so that gave me time to start to feel ready again. I felt completely different after the bleeding stopped - so much better, as did others on this thread.
Hope you start to feel back to normal again soon. xx
Sorry, just seen you've stopped bleeding so ignore previous post (toddler yelling at me in background!), so that's brilliant - pleased for you that that bit is over!
Am feeling okay posy no major symptoms yet (but only 4.4 weeks). Just super sore boobs and really tired!!
pedantic no one can really say when they'll Ov after mc, but for me it was 2 weeks after the start of the major bleed.
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!
When did u poas Jessie? Was it first cycle after mc?
Hope everything goes smoothly for u this time x
Congrats Jessie and welcome to all those who have joined the thread since I last posted.
Life has rather caught up with me but I have been following what others have been posting. AF is arriving (I think!); the build up has been quite hideous this time - cramps a lot worse than usual, major emotional meltdown etc. There is no point in POAS this cycle as we haven't DTD; we're moving house in 10 days and the building work where we're moving to isn't finished and we're both getting really quite stressed about everything we still need to sort out so there haven't been too many romantic moments. DH has said that he is happy to try again for DC3 but tbh I really don't think either of us will be in a good enough state to give it our best efforts () for some time so if it does ever happen it will be more by accident than design.
Fingers crossed though for all those of you who are going to POAS in the next week or so - looking forward to hearing some good news stories!
lolcbcb my cycle pretty much matched my normal cycle, if I count my first day of mc (the heavy bleed day) as CD1, except I may havee OV'd a few days later, like CD18 rather than CD14 if I go off the CD Digital BFP dates..
Am feeling really nervous today. Really really really want this one to stick. Trying to keep rested
I am stressing myself right out!! I've been having cramping pains in one specific area for last couple of days. They have been coming and going. I got it into my head yesterday that this was like when I was pg??!! Implantation pains?? But my rationale side of my brain says its just my AF as we haven't DTD consistently. I also still haven't had any luck with the OPKs. So I can't be pg can I?! Also been feeling very emotional.
AF officially due Sun (presuming I'm near norm this month). Just want to know now as this is going to be a very long week!
Today have started bright red spotting and having AF type cramps, this is exactly what happened before MC last month. Am devastated of course, this is even earlier than last time. But at least I know I have no trouble conceiving! Am sorry that the threads first BFP hasn't amounted to anything, but am glad I can climb back on board here for next cycle.
jessie I am so sorry - I really hope that you are ok and that everything is ok. Thinking of you.
Just wanted to say that I'm off to airport today and I don't think I'll be on here until I get back. Will miss having a place to talk to people about how I feel. I hope that you are ok.Will be back in just over 3 weeks!
Havnt we girls been through enough! Very similar to me this time, I hope you'r ok, I must admit I did think that with getting pg twice recently that I should atleast relax on that part aswell
Woody have the best time, it's definatly the best remedy x
almond fx for you that it is implantation pains youre feeling and hope you get through the week in once piece (we're here to hold you together till you can poas!)
Jessie Im sorry about your news. Have you contacted the doctors? Thinking of you ((hugs))
woody hope you have an amazing time!
Jessie so sorry to hear that. We're here holding your hand. Like you say at least it's early and you didn't go for weeks and weeks. X
Woody have an amazing time. Look forward to hearing all about it when your back.
My cramps are more consistent now so I'm pretty sure it's PMT. No to the witch!
Almond I hope it's implantation!!!!
Jessie. Oh no hun. Are u sure? I'm so so sorry
Oh Jessie I'm so sorry to hear that! Poor you - I hope you are OK. What a horrible shock after your BFP. Let us know how you are getting on - I am thinking of you.
Almond really hoping those are pg cramps not AF - keep us posted.
Woody have an amazing time! We are all very jealous!!!
Thanks everyone, yes it is what I think it is. The bleeding has slowly increased to resemble the start of AF. I will wait a few days then do a pg test just to make sure.
Interestingly, this morning I got a call from the ClearBlue research team and I've been accepted on the trial that they have going on, so they're sending me a massive box and 3 months supply of digital ovulation tests and pregnancy tests. very exciting! Although it seems DH and I don't really have an issue conceiving, only keeping it. But these ovulation sticks will really help in this next WTF cycle
You seem to be very calm Jessie. That is good. Are you going to hospital to have a scan?
Btw how did u get on trial!? Id love to get on it
if I'm not pg now
It was a few months back they were taking apps, don't think you can apply now, I got on but had to tell them I was pregnant, now im not it's too late
Lcb are you going to do a test and put us out of our misery!!!
Hi everyone, I have been lurking on your thread for a while and you all seem so lovely. Wanted to say I am so sorry for jessie.
I was wondering if I could join except I have had full blown mc. For the past 3 months I have had 3 chem pregs in a row (had only missed period by a few days). GP is treating it as recurrent mc and starting tests.
Hi ladies, I've just found this thread and wondered if yous would mind if I joined in? I had a mmc and erpc at the end of April. I had bleeding for about 7 weeks and my first af has taken 103 days to arrive after the erpc. I feel under pressure to get pg quickly as I am 40 and constantly worry if maybe I'm going in to menopause. I've just spread read this thread and sorry to see so many in the same situation. Also very sorry Jessie that you are suffering another mc.
Sorry I meant to say spead read, bloody auto correct!!!!
Hi munchin and when. Sorry u find yourselves here but you are very welcome.
Any idea where u are on cycles?
Hi munchin ( sorry you were almost munchkin then )
Sorry to hear your tale, 100+ days omg did they give a reason? I think I'd have been pulling my hair out,I was going to moan but now....... the thing with mc is to start off your in the enviable position of a bfp then your pg but if it goes wrong it's waiting until your body is ready, to stop bleeding to get a neg test etc then the people you were on the original thread with have had another 2/3 goes in that time, does that make a stupid sence?! I'm still bleeding and getting a very strong + so itl probably be another Late and therefore bad cycle to try in
Hi when < friendly squeeze> you are more then welcome here, all mc are gutting! I'm interested in the tests too, I'm really worried low progesterone played a part in my last one but ofcourse they were not interested into looking, I don't want to have to go through it again thanks, I've had my share!!!!
Thanks kitty and lolcbcb for the welcome and sorry yous have experienced mc also. Don't worry kitty I tried to set my name as munchkin but someone else has it!!! Just couldn't think of a name. Anyhow I went back to hospital three weeks into the bleeding after erpc and doctor said as it was brown blood they were not concerned. They gave me antibiotic to make sure there invade there was an infection and took a swab which proved clear. I saw my gp at 6 weeks after erpc and she said my body would just take its time. Sure enough the bleeding stopped a week later. Yes I was to point of pulling my hair out with no af. Testing with opk's like a woman possessed. Googling menopause symptoms and the like. We went on hols and I made a conscious decision to leave opk's at home, give mn a break and just enjoyed the hols. It must have done the trick as day we came home I got my first af. It was still brown with bits for a week (sorry if tmi) and then seemed to change to proper af type. So all in all I have had bleeding/spotting for 2 weeks. Fx it has stopped. So that puts me on cd14. We did dtd on cd 12. But have tested the last two days and got weak lines. So either I have missed the surge or not happened yet. Sorry for the long winded story girls. Sorry when that you have had mc also. Where are yous all at in your cycles?
Hi lolcbcb and kitty thanks for the warm welcome (especially the big squeeze).
Hi munchin I have only had chemical pregs, three in a row. I just can't seem to get to 5weeks. I will count myself really lucky on a few points. At least I know I can get pregnant and at least it goes wrong really quickly so I don't spend too much time in limbo and can crack on with trying again pretty quickly.
That's why I feel a bit funny being on this thread, everyone has been through some hellish experiences that go on for weeks and weeks. I am just hoping to pick up info on investigations into repeated mc as my GP is testing me at the moment. hoping to meet some lovely ladies too
when, no ones story is less deserving, mine was horrible for me but I could think imagine a mmc and not knowing or losing a baby a 23wks ect, nature is cruel and when you are ttc it feels bad to be set back who ever you are, as we know we are lucky to have dd but for me as much as I love her so much that almost makes the desire stronger then first time as I love her so much!
munchin, i wouldnt be surprised if ov is later, i think mc really messes your body and mine was a good week later for the 2 cycles I had, now back to square 1, both mine have been natural however this time im still bleeding, there was a week first like af, then stoped for 3 days then ive been bleeding ever since thats another 2 weeks, i keep thinking its stoping but itstarts heavier again, it goes from brown but today is bright red again, do you think I should get it checked out or wait it out? im so sick of it now, i have to do another test thursday as she said if it was neg in a week i wouldnt need more bloods but i did one suday and it was still quite strong so not sure it will have gone by then uuurrrggghhh
So sorry to hear that Jessi. Hope you're OK. Ooh though the CB stuff sounds v exciting - like you say though, you don't seem to have a problem conceiving so I really hope the next one will be sticky.
Hello When and Munchin - you are very welcome here and when your recurrent very early mcs and absolutely a valid reason to be on here! I am also interested in your tests, as I think my last mc was hormonal (but it's just a hunch). Munch my ovulation was definitely later this last cycle. 103 days must have been a terribly long wait - poor you - but glad you're at ttc stage again now!
I am on CD3 - rubbish - seems like years til poas time!
When you are more than welcome on here, we're all in this together whatever the circumstances!
Munch welcome too! They don't call this the WTF cycle for nothing! I'm on CD24 and no idea what's happening! I've been using OPKs but not seen surge but ive been having cramps do either implantation or AF! AF should arrive at wkd if it is on track but I don't think it is so the guessing game continues!
Kitty - I don't think it would harm to get checked out. At least you can rule things out if nothing else.
Feeling a bit sad today as I got an urgent message from the hospital asking them to call. When I did they said I hadn't checked in for my midwife appointment tomorrow. I explained about the MC and they were sympathetic but you think the EPC would tell them or my consultant who I informed? Oh well, just reminded me about the bean that want meant to be .
Hi Girls, and thanks for your support. Sucks having 2 Mc's in a row, but yes I'm staying positive. I know that it has nothing to do with me, and that early mcs/chemical preg, can be common, and I won't give up trying. I have one beautiful DD so I know it can be done!
Still bleeding lots from Mc which started yesterday (I estimate I was about 5 weeks) but its not as much as previous month when I think I was about 7 weeks..
Welcome to when and munch. We're all here for support no matter what experience with mc!
Yes the clearblue trial at least will be something to keep my mind off things, and keep another month of TTC somewhat interesting. It was a few months back that they were looking for applicants on their website, and it took them a while to contact me, but I don't think its open anymore.
fx lol with testing!
Thanks for the welcome posy almond & jessie
Really sorry about that phone call Almond, must have been a horrid reminder.
Best of luck with the trial Jessie. I put my name down for it but have not been contacted by them. I love poas so am a bit gutted I am not on the trial.
Hi when and munch. Really sorry to hear about your mcs and the experiences youve had. I think any type of mc is difficult to get over.
Sorry been a bit quiet last couple of days, first week back at work properly and I feel physically and emotionally drained at the moment. Work have been really good about it. I brought in some chocs for my colleague who has picked up my work and also my line manager for being so good and understanding about everything.
Jessie hope youre doing ok. Good luck with the trial.
Almond hope youre doing ok after the phone call. Youd think their communication between GP/consultant/EPU would be a lot better than that!
Yes almond that sucks, I don't think they relay messages around, I had to phone and cancel my mw app first time which was early which was why I waited this time and glad! I don't think I'd do it until about 8 wks of I'm lucky enough to get pg again.
Jessie your mc are very similar dates to mine, 7/8 first then 5 this time, I had one af between them though, do wonder if this last one went wrong because of late ov and therefore maybe late lf? Aparently a realky high proportion of mc happen if it is shorter then 10 days?!
I guess I shouldn't think about it really as I'll never know for def,
Bleeding alot heavier today so maybe this will get things moving now fx
I want a bfn, how many people on the conception page have said that do you think
Thanks for the support. I feel a bit better about it today mainly because of a major incident at work which distratcted me for 5 hours! Bascially I work in a big shopping centre and we had a bomb scare and the whole place had to be evacuated. Talk about an adrenaline rush. All ok now luckily!
Kitty I think you are right and I wont make any appointments until I am about 8 weeks just to be on the safe side. I dont know about any of you but I dont think I will relax at all if I get pg again!! Such a shame as I was so naive to all of this until my MC.
Lol still testing Sat? Hows your busy week going so far?
Vix hope work isnt too bad. I felt exactly the same after going back and it took me a week to feel 'normal' there. Everything seemed so trivial at first and I found it hard dealing with the 'are you feeling better' questions as not many people knew. It does get easier though!
My cramps have gone now and I feel completely not pg. I reckon it was ovulation or PMT. Wish it would hurry up either bloody way. I am the most impatient person in the world!!
I am losing track with where everyone is. Shall we do a summary thing? I have seen these on other threads and they were something like this:
Almond - 31 yrs, TTC 1st baby, 1 MC, CD24, POAS 25/08 (because I cant hold out longer). Thought I would add something interesting in like my favourite thing to do is - running in the woods with my black lab, Finn. Anyone else up for sharing this? Did I miss anything?
Hi almond. I caved in and poas today. Got a bfn. No sign of af anywhere. Need this wtf to end ASAP!
Week is going ok. Find hard to have time to pee during the day!
Like your introduction thingy.

Urg as pointed out!! TTC number 2!!
See? I'll have 231 and you will have 232. Blimey better start shagging now!
Thanks again girls for the lovely welcome. It's going to take me awhile to get to know you all. Just want to say sorry for those of you who have recently had a mc/cp or are currently going through it. It trully is one of the most shitty experiences ever.
Munchin 40 ttc #3, mmc April, wtf cycle lasted 103 days! On cd 15, currently trying to walk off excess weight, like movies wine and chocolate.
Lol u caved!!! Confession...so did I and got a BFN too. Boo to the BFN!! Maybe it was too early
that is what I'm telling myself. I'm going to retest on Sat must hold out! U? I've still got no AF symptoms but have no pg symptoms either!
Is anyone struggling to shift their MC weight? I've been exercising tonnes and it's not moving
but still eating cake . Nothing too bad but a few pounds would be nice and my work trousers a bit looser !
I'm not struggeling to loose it I'm struggeling to not put it on now, I'm definatly a wow is me eater
Ummm doorstep toast......
Vixjane, 29, ttc n#1, mc 2 Aug at 6 1/2 weeks, poas due 30/31 Aug, likes roller skating, chocolate and wine!
jessie, 32, ttc#2, 2 mc's , CD 2, poas sometime Sept!
Af got me today
Feel strangely relieved my body is back to normal and I can try again this month. Think shag time will be around DH birthday which is a good excuse!
Almond hope af doesn't get u! Fx
Lol sorry to hear that but yes at least you know you are back to normal. Although I obviously would love a BFP I would also be relieved with AF as I just want the WTF cycle over with! What CD did your AF arrive on then?
CD34. My cycles are usually 31 anyway. So 3 days late. Not as bad as it could haw been.
And will hopefully ov around DH birthday.
Sorry lol it is one of those where you'd rather have a bfp but at the same time part of you knows it is very soon after and may not be such a good thing x
Can't remember if I asked to join you or not. Have read back through the thread and can't see that I did?! Been a mixed up few days. Began to MC last Friday and still bleeding now. Had scan yesterday and showed nothing in womb and just waiting for bloods back today to see that hormones dropping. I have been given no information from hospital and fairly poor NHS service i feel. Thank goodness for Mumsnet and sites like the Miscarriage association. We really want to try again as soon as possible. Not sure when to start my cycle from now though?
babyjames 32, ttc#2, 1mc, CD? Loves my DS /DH, Zumba, wine and chocolate
Hi babyjames, I have seen some of your posts on the mc page, really sorry for you you were on the April thread with me, most people start the day of heaviest bleeding as cd1 but I think it's pointless trying to second guess this one, expect everything to be abit out and maybe add a few days to usual cycle length, I have no idea where to begin, bleeding been very heavy for the last 2 days but has been heavy before and this is wk3 only 1/12 since levels started dropping though
Sorry lol though at least you are back to some sort of normal. And hello babyjames.
Just a quick post to put my stuff...
carikube, 39, ttc#3, 1mc, CD3, which would mean POAS in about 4 weeks but that means dtd before then which is unlikely at the rate we're going, loves lots of lthings but would love most of all to have 8hrs uninterrupted sleep atm...ah bliss!
Thanks for your welcomes and kind words. I do remember you KittyKats. 3 weeks is a long time to bleed! I'm shattered and only been since Friday. Getting me really light headed.
Just looked through my friends pics on facebook and 2 big pregnant bumps not what I wanted to see today! I had to phone and cancel my first midwife appointment which was this afternoon. The receptionist said "do you want to re-book?" "No thanks I've lost the baby"!
Sorry to Lol that AF got you. Anyone fancy joining me for
Hi babyjames would love to join you with the but I had a huge g&t last night then dd (18 months) decided to cry between 3am & 6am. Not sure if I am hung over or just shattered (thinks its shattered).
Sorry about af lol
Hi cari I love sleep too but don't get much of it.
WhenSheWas cycle 5, 3 chem pregs. Going for blood tests next Friday.
Sorry lol about AF but I bet you're relieved now to start a fresh new cycle
Babyjames am so sorry about mc. I remember you from April Thread. This is a really sucky time. I'm currently bleeding now from 2nd MC, but I remember with my last mc last month that once I stopped bleeding I felt a million times better, so you will feel better soon I promise! I start my cycle from first day of heavy bleeding/clots, and last cycle when I did this, I ov'd roughly just a few days later then my normal CD14.
Will definitely join you on the
Yeah deffo on wine (can't find the wine emoticon ) this BH since not pg.
Sorry u haven't heard anything baby. I was also left to my own devices to be honest and didn't even get a leaflet.
But I have u ladies which is much better
Hi all esp Jessie and BabyJames who I both remember from the April thread. So sorry to hear about your mcs. Since then I've had two, just can't seem to get past 6 weeks... So it's been a great year for conception but not so great for pregnancy! If it's any consolation because both were early I was back on track with my cycle and after early mc in may conceived again the next cycle... So it's all possible.
As I've had 3 mcs my dr has referred me to the recurrent miscarriage clinic which is great so I'll report back after my visit in Sept. Although I'm not looking for ivf she told me I was way too old to get it on the nhs (age 34 cut off point Iain Oxford) and that I was too fat! Another visit to the doctors that left me feeling all warm and fuzzy!!
I'm now on cycle day 7 so am going to have to dtd with dp all weekend even though he is making me crazy (moving house, it makes for some pretty big rows!) but I shall persevere, grin and bear it! The things we do for a BFp!!
Oops my details. 42 (old eggs!), ttc %232, 1st pg at 37. 3mcs at 8, 6 and 5 1/2 wks.
Argh. Ttc number 2. Have a six year old so desperate for a sibling I think she's gonna be a preteen mom just to get a baby!!

good work on the list munchin.
Sorry suzy to hear about the recurrent mcs. Will be interested to hear how your appointment goes next month. Lets just hope that the recurrent mcs are simply down to bad luck and next preg will be a sticky one!

Love the list As I'm still bleeding from MC I thought may as well have all the wine , chocolate and whatever I want! I usually have long cycles too of around 33 days so going to be a bit of a wait to OV again!
I joined you all in a beverage last night, although being a northerner my choice will always be dirty beer
Baby (I was going to abbreviate to bj then and realised just how wrong that was!) I'm still bleeding too and cycle after mc last time was 32 days aswell, I'm usually abit less however my last one I didn't get a bfp til cd38 and that was the faintest line, frer didn't get the digi + til cd41!! I'm really hoping I'm not going to have another of those!
Good work on the list! Baby I too joined you in a beverage! G&T was my choice ! Can't wait for the week to be over and have a few days off!
So, little update from me. The WTF cycle continues to play cruel tricks on me. On Tues evening I had a brown smear when wiping after loo (Sorry TMI). Thought well AF is on its way. So 2 days later and still nothing. Been having the odd cramp but nothing consistent like AF. No other symptoms
although I keep prodding my boobs to check?!. AF not officially due till Sun (if cycle correct) but was naughty and did a couple of tests. One was a def ng and the one I did to day had an 'imaginary' faint line. Basically I got distracted between doing it and looking (so prob over 10 mins). When I held it up to the light and moved it in the light I could just make out a line. TBH I think it is an evaporation line but need to 'confess' to u guys! Can't tell OH as he thinks I'm loosing my mind and I promised I wouldn't do any more tests till weekend!! No congrats yet...
Almond, your mad girl, I had the same last month with a cheepie where I could swear I'd seen a shadow but would never have shown it to anyone as they would have declared me mad, the next day I got a faint line on a frer, i know evaporation lines aparently exist but I've never had one and the smear sounds so much like implantation, it would take atleast 3/4 days after that to show up so I think your looking v promising!!! What test was it??
I don't want to build up hope but to me it sounds very positive!
Welcome to newbies (sorry at work so struggling to go through and catch names!).
I joined in with a drink of cider last night then promptly fell asleep on the sofa watching indiana jones! Just wondered if anyone else still feels really shattered after the mc? Mine was 3 weeks ago today but still feeling really tired (although the hoisin duck pizza that DH and I consumed for tea cos we couldnt be @rsed cooking may have helped with last nights sleepiness!).
Sorry to those who recently got af.
Fingers crossed for you almond and others waiting to poas.
Thanks for the list!!
Thanks for the msg. Im really trying not to get my hopes up as it seems so unlikely...I didn't even know when I ovulated and we haven't DTD that consistently! I used a Superdrug early test. They are meant to be very sensitive. I've got some clear blue digital ones but didn't want to waste them. What do you reckon I should do? X
ooo almond how exciting!!! I would be SO tempted to do a cb digital now. And if you get BFN then at least the poas urge is out of your system and you can wait 48 or more hours til you'll be tempted again!
Jessie!!! I would wait 2 days then test again with fmu, if you can't wait to the digi but atleast wait til tomorrow, I waited 2 days after the frer test to do a digi, they are expensive to waste on a bfn just because you did it a couple of days early, I think they are 25 mlu as aposed to sd 10! It doubles every 2 days so that should give you a definate answer
Be quietly confident though and fx x
An evap line on a pink dye would be grey, if it's pink it's a proper line
Oh almond. Could be good news. As long as you don't over obsess
like me I think I can be a little bit happy...
When is af due?
Kitty what's fmu? Do u mean first response? I'm going to try and wait a bit...it's costing me a fortune in tests!! Jessie soooo tempted but I'm going try really hard to wait
at least till tomor morning !
Lol it's due Sun but it is the WTF cycle after all! Fx x
First morning urine so its at it's most concentrated!
Almond is this living up to be a usual cycle length then?
Do you mind me asking how many days your cycles are normally, how long it took you to stop bleeding and get neg test etc? It's just if I started when I was going to I'd allready be on cd11 and not got neg test or stoped bleeding yet so I may have to backtrack
Kitty ah thanks! Still learning the lingo! I has the coil for years and no periods but based on PMT
yes still got that unluckily I reckon my cycles were 28-30 days long and I was pretty regular before that.
After MC I used CD1 as heaviest day of bleeding. Stopped bleeding CD7 and got ng pg test around CD15 (but was using v sensitive pg test so might have been a couple of days before if I used cheapies). Now on CD26. So not sure if it is even possible to be pg yet?!
What I would say though is that everyone seems to be different. Guess it depends on how far you were along (I was 6.5 weeks and my HCG had got up to 3,000). It felt like ages at the time but I've felt 'norm' (energy levels etc) for about a week now.
Hi ladies, sorry to those who have just mc and or are still bleeding in the wtf cycle. I can totally appreciate how crappy it is. But believe it will eventually stop!!! I have to laugh as hospital told me that bleeding should get less and less each day after erpc. What bullshit!!! I had very little bleeding until 5 days after and then it kicked in and took 7 weeks to go!!!
I'm still trying to get to know you all and it's hard on my phone so sorry for not name checking.
Don't feel bad for poas almond I'm another poasaholic so fx for you.
So my first AF after mc is now finally over two weeks later!! So please please don't leave me waiting months to ov!!! It's exactly a year now since coming off pill and having first AF. Stupidly thought I would be pg by now. I will defo be joining you ladies in some vino tomorrow night!!
Thanks almond that's good to know, I think the bleeding is finally comming to an end today [ touches wood]
I was about 5/6 wks and I think my levels only reached 1000 ish before droping possibly up to 2000 but no more so I think I should be getting a neg test within the wk!
Glad to know it doesn't seem to have pushed your cycle around too much, I really hope mines better this time
Munchin it's hard to believe that I have only had one proper af between mc in the last year and a half due to pregnancy then breast feeds pg, then mc one af pg, thenmc again so my body has been shunted around abit!
I hope after this one you get a regular 30ish dayer
can I ask if anyone is taking any vitamins other than folic acid whilst TTC?
I went to the GP the other day (for a separate reason) and she recommended I take a women's multi-vitamin, and I'm wondering if that may also help for TTC. I'm currently just taking the 400mg folic acid. I tried pregnacare once long ago but found the pills too big to swallow. Maybe I should think about trying that again...
kittykats at BJ!
I also think
hope that the bleeding is coming to an end as it is now brown.
I feel so shattered and have been having to have a nap in the day! Can't imagine still feeling like this and being back at work
I have been taking the Sanatagon Multi Vitamins. Took Pregnacare lasr time but I had a free sample of the Sanatagon and think they are cheaper.
Still fuming at the hospitals for giving no advice, support or even a leaflet! Poor service!!!
Thanks kitty. Sounds like you haven't had a chance to have regular af's either. Hope your bleeding is getting less.
Jessie I take 500mg folio acid and pregnacare for ttc. But yes they are like elephant pellets lol. I wish there was a magic tablet.
Babyjames I was back at work while still bleeding and it was horrible. Bad enough to have mc but bleeding was just a constant reminder. That was awful that hospital gave you no information. I got a booklet but I can honestly say that the support and information here on mn was really what helped me get through it.
almond hold off on the clear blue digital to closer to when af is due. In my experience they aren't as sensitive as the superdrug ones or the other pink ones... Boots maybe?
In both instances the pink one said I was pregnant (at cycle day 23!) and blue didn't till a few days later. Pink good blue bad.
That said I must have spent about 300 pounds on pg tests in he last year
Jessie I take Boots Conception Support tablets which have 400 Folic Acid then a whole host of other vits. I got them on 3 for 2 so good value. The tablet isn't too big either!
Suzy I'm holding out as Im already using the sensitive ones and there is hardly anything there!
So I confessed to the OH this morning about the test and did another one
held out for a grand 24 hours. He thinks I'm mad and said there isnt a real line as you can only see it when you hold it up to the light so that must be the chemical strip in the test. I think he's probably right as it hasn't got any darker.... I did think about getting some FRER tests today I am mental or u just leave it for 48 hours? On my last pg it showed up on First Response before anything else. AF due Sun and Tue is month since MC. I'm sooo bad at dealing with the not knowing!!
Ooh almond I feel your pain I hate not knowing. I would try again tomorrow and see if it gets darker.
I thought I had an evap line but it was positive. Fx
Yes almond it won't get darker really in a day, if you think your detecting probably only 6 mlu it being so faint, it takes 2 days for that to get even to 12, still a very faint + if you think I'd you waited til Sunday it would have doubled again, I think the tests say they can pick up 10 etc but can even lower as my first response got a faint line on the Saturday then digi the Tuesday after4 days, 2 days after that I had bloods and they were only 20!! I thought I had mc then but 2 days later were 50 so the mw said they must have literally been picking up 5 or something! If you look at it like that you can see why it takes so long to get a dark line, if you look at the positive you have done 2 tests both with lines, I don't know about you but think the odds of getting evap lines on 2 are pretty slim!!! I know when my tests are neg there is nothing there no matter how many lights I hold them up to!
On a me note bleeding seems to have re appeared and I am getting positive tests ughhh how the parallel live!
The bleedings come back? That sucks. Really sorry kitty I was hoping you could start thinking about your next ov.
Good point about the hcg. I didn't think of that, a doubling at the start will still be at really low levels.
Well it never went as such but seemed to have slowed and gone lighter so I took it as it was going, non overnight but now back to bright red, it's so frustrating, I'm sick of it as have to wear towels and can't dtd or anything to feel like I'm achieving anything
I even shaved my legs last night in preparation, wasted
Kitty thanks for your advice, it's really helping me calm my irrational mind . Sorry to hear about the bleeding. I'm sure ur will settle down soon x
Hi everyone, quick question, when TTC is everyone t-total and staying away from cream cheese and all the other things you're supposed to avoid during pregnancy just incase? Or are you all a bit more relaxed and have the odd
bungee jump glass of wine now and then?
Jessie I'm taking folic acid just now but am about to start vitamins that supposedly increase your chance of conception - we'll see how successful they are!
That is rubbish Kitty, hopefully it wont last very long.
Can I add myself onto the list too? Pedantic, 24, ttc #2, 2 mc.
FX for you Almond
Kitty how frustrating. I have no clue how long is normal to bleed for. I have quite bad cramps today. I have luckily booked next week off work as holiday so will get a bit more of a chance to compose myself.
Welcome Ped I have been eating cream cheese. I think that is ok if its made from pasturised milk. I have also had a few glasses of wine over the last few days during the MC.
I've had a few drinks too while mc but now the bleeding has stopped and we're going to ttc (you were all right, I did start to feel better once the bleeding had stopped ) but some people IRL have been saying it took them a while to ttc and they just acted as normal, drinking etc until they got a bfp.
Pedantic I never do anything different, at the end of the day we probably all poas at the earliest we can get a + so the week it didn't cover will really make no difference, if you were having difficulty TTC alcohol avoidance might be preferable but otherwise just try to carry on as normal, life would be very deprived if we always lived expecting something, in some cases it could be a year later and you'd just be very anoyed!!
I'l second that Kitty
Thought I'd share a poem with you:
You're Stronger Than You Think
If the strongest tree can bow and bend
From winds that hurried by
We cannot feel that we are weak
If we break down and cry
Somehow the tree gets stronger
As the sun shines once again
And so are we from tears we've cried
Remember that my friend ~
Lovely poem babyjames, thanks for sharing!
After 1st mc I made a playlist with songs that kept me uplifted (ie Kelly Clarkson - Stronger, U2 - Beautiful Day, etc)
Good luck almond with testing, and thanks for the suggestion of Boots Conception tablets, think I'll look into that
sorry kitty to hear about bleeding reappearing. I'm still bleeding after 2nd mc, day 5 now, and it doesn't seem to be lightening off like a normal AF, which is really frustrating, but I'm sure it will soon!
Is anyone using OPKs during this WTF cycle? I am, and this will be my first time using, so interested to hear how others get on.
I also have a few drinks during TTC, but never get drunk, and I think cream cheese is safe to eat, even during pregnancy.
Well Jessie, I'll trump your day 5 with day 14! That's not including the previous 5 days af 3 days before that!
I fear I may collapse soon with blood loss
I'm not using opk this time as only have the expensive cb ones but last time it was cd23 of a usual 17/19 ov day,
Hi Jessie I found some vits from wilkinson that have folic acid plus some other stuff- they are only about a quid and small too! I took pregnacare but this month will have these ones.
I didn't use opk on wtf cycle but will use it this month for first time. Not sure I'll keep it up though.
I'm undecided whether or not to use the OPK this month. Prob will as feel the need to be pro-active and do something if you know what I mean. It was first time used it last month and it seemed to work just didn't have a sticky bean! Ou Lol sounds like a good find Think I have spent a small fortune on conception items and tests!
I always use opks but I am a bit of a control freak that way. I take my vits too am on Sanatogen at the moment.
Hello everyone, sorry not been on much as am at the in-laws, mainly relaxing with my book today! Ooh Almond have you had a faint positive? Fx for you!
Jessie I take Sanatogen pregnancy vitamins. Agree about pregnacare, the size scared me!
Ooh a list, good idea. Here it is with me
Almond 31, ttc #1, 1mc
Lol 38, ttc#1, 1mc
Kittykatsforever 33, ttc #2, 2mc
Munchin 40, ttc #3, 1mmc
Vixjane 29, ttc #1, 1mc
Jessiethecowgirl 32, ttc #2, 2mc
Babyjames 32, ttc #2, 1mc
Carikube 39, ttc #3, 1mc
Whenshewas 33 ttc #2, 3cp
SuzyDelarosa 42 ttc #2, 3mc
Posy 34 ttc#2, 1mc
By the way, I did giggle at Lol's #232
I'm still not on the list posy
<Pouts and considers flouncing>
Posy don't tell us your reading 50 Shades?? I'm classing it as an imaginary very faint line
it's in my head I'm sure!
Baby I tried OPKs this month but didn't catch surge. I found it made me have a heart sinking moment each time and feel better not doing it. Having said that i think i would try again after the WTF cycle as this one just seems all over the place! I got on better with the poas version rather than the dipstick ones! Expensive though!!
hi jessie I used OPKs last month (clearblue fertility tests) and they seemed to be right on schedule for when I thougth I was ovulating. You wouldn't believe how exciting it is to see that happy face - i'm pretty sure it's the new libido stimulator!!
This month I thought i'd take it up a notch and I bought the Clearblue Fertility Monitor (the big technical digital thingy) and it's been a complete wash. I couldn't figure out how to set it up, I kept having to reset it and everytime I POASed it didn't work... goodbye £80!! Seriously each stick is about £1 each! I even went online to see how to do it and nothing... I have no frigging idea how to get it started.
So I would avoid the big monitor and stick with the happy face stick - it seems to work.
That said I was really TTC last month and --- nothing! Am trying again this weekend and fingers are crossed.
Sorry pedantic I can't copy and paste on my phone, need the computer. But idea was that everyone would feel free to keep updating the list themselves. I'll add you later. Lol.
Almond I feel for you the not knowing must be driving you mad. Fx though.
Sorry kitty that bleeding is back again but I think that is obviously quite normal as that's what I had too. Unfortunately this mc business has brought home to me the need for patience , something that I have very little of.
That was a lovely poem babyjames.
I found the poem earlier this year and sent it to my friend when she had experienced a loss. I always remember it and found it out to send to my DH.
I have some smiley face sticks left to use but like you say Almond not sure maybe to leave it this month. Sorry Suzy that the Fertility Monitor didn't work. That was my next step so glad you said.
I'm still slightly bleeding. I'm so ready for it to just stop now! I'm thinking of going to get an M & S dine in for tonight
Thanks munchin, glad atleast I know it's not unusual as I'd be panicking,I'll give it til Monday and if I hasn't stoped by then call the gp, I was only 5 wks pregnant and have bleed 3 weeks in total, it seems excessive?!
Can't wait for that to be over and get back on the wagon
I'm going for Chinese tonight, I love Fridays
Wow you lot of have been chatty today!
kitty sorry to hear the bleeding is back, hopefully it will stop soon.
almond fingers cross for you testing this weekend.
DH and i have american telly and drinkies planned for tonight, very much been looking forward to it!
Kitty Chinese yummy I've gone for honey gammon in the dine in. Smells lush. FX that your bleeding stops soon. Gets you down doesn't it.
Drinkies and a film for us I think. Have good evenings all x
suzy really sorry the monitor isn't working out for you. Can you get your money back on it at all?
kitty 3 weeks of bleeding sounds excessive to me. Hopefully it will stop soon.
vixjane tv and drinkies sounds like a good plan to me. Infancy a drink too but dd is a bit ill, so I think I'll give it a miss I case we need to go to the out of hours GP (very unlikely but best to be cautious).
I've always thought cb fertility monitor is a bit expensive...
Will try these opk this month then make a decision. Mine are cheapies though.
Are lots of u on cb trial?
Almond 31, ttc #1, 1mc
Lol 38, ttc#1, 1mc
Kittykatsforever 33, ttc #2, 2mc
Munchin 40, ttc #3, 1mmc

SuzyDelarosa 42 ttc #2, 3mc
Posy 34 ttc#2, 1mc
Pedantic 24, ttc #2, 2mc
Snap, Chinese wine and movie tonight. I love Fridays!!!
I was offered a place on the ClearBlue trial but turned it down as I thought would be too stressful with working full time am maybe regretting that choice now.
How do u get on the trial baby?
Sorry pedantic I didn't see your update after the last list. Have only been managing sneaky peaks on my fil's computer in the past few days so have missed a few posts!
Almond I haven't read 50 shades yet, but I am thinking maybe I should order it to get me in the mood for this month! Has anyone else read it? I have heard mixed reviews, ranging from amazing to awful. Can't hurt though, eh?
Kitty I bled for three weeks, and so did a friend of mine. I bled til it had all gone basically. It was on and off too, then one day I bled a bit more heavily, saw another small 'bit' and the next day I stopped bleeding. Hope it stops soon for you - if you are at all worried phone the EPU though obviously.
Am already starting to dread the ovulation bit and making sure we dtd at the right time! Am also having a bit of a fret today, worrying we maybe won't conceive again (based on nothing logical!). My DH told me to stop being ridiculous and to get on with it and I am sure he is right. He is so patient and reassuring
Afternoon ladies! Hope people enjoyed their friday nights with drinks, movies and chinese.
Any news almond?
I've had those worries as well posy so you're not alone. Funnily enough the month we conceived was the month when i went out lots, drank lots and didnt watch any dates! We had loads going on so decided to not worry about it for a month!
whenshewasbad hope dd is feeling better!
Having a crafty weekend as not skating till tomorrow, been out all morning getting supplies!
Lol I applied for the trial on the Clear Blue website but then panicked when I read some other Mumsnetters stories about what they had to do! Being a working Mum and already under pressure in the mornings I thought it might just send me over the edge! I purchased some of my own sticks instead which means I don't have to keep pots of wee in my fridge etc!
Vix have I missed something? Skating? As in ice? Sounds like fun
My internet cheapy pregnancy tests arrived today and I POAS after lunch
silly when should use FMU and it came back negative. I will do again in the morning to double check. If it is then I will take that as hormones back to normal. Never thought I'd be glad to see a negative test!
Hows the bleeding today Kitty ?
Baby I was like you, couldn't wait for a ng test! What CD are u on now?
Vix I did a FRER test this morning and a BFN!! I think there is something wrong with those Superdrug tests!! Had some more cramps today so just waiting for my AF to show. I have been putting myself under so much pressure that an AF would probably be what I need to relax and re group for next month! My sisters down for the weekend and she had a chat with me which I needed. She basically said I need to relax my mind in order for my body to relax! Also got a BBQ yesterday so going to enjoy some vino!!
Posy that's what I'm scared of too but we all know we can get pregnant and just need to hold on to that good thought!! .
Off for some retail therapy...have a great wkd everyone! X
Thanks baby. Not sure I'm up for keeping pee in the fridge either!
Well I'll go with these cheap ones and see how I feel.
Almond I'm impressed at how restrained u are!
Good luck when u poas again baby x
baby where did you get your cheapy hpts from? I got some from ebay that are supposed to be what the nhs use but when i got pregnant showing on the cb digi they were still only showing a really feint line and that was almost a week after af was due! Fingers crossed for you tomorrow!
I play roller derby and we skate on the old style quad roller skates
Sorry for the bfn almond but enjoy your vino! Its pouring down here so no chance of bbq opportunity!
kitty hope the bleeding is coming to an end for you
Sorry almond. Didn't read properly and didn't realised u had bfn
When is af due? Could it be too early?
Thanks vix she seems to be ok ish but is not herself.
Friend who knows we are ttc sent me a text asking if I was pregnant yet
Sorry almond. I didn't read the thread properly either. I always thought superdrugs tests were ment to be good. Faulty batch maybe?
Hello. I have been lurking about this thread since my MC started, thirteen days ago. I wanted to share an article with you, from today's Irish Independent- "Miscarriages caused by super- fertility". I thought of several of you, as this theory holds that some women get pregnant easily, but sadly have repeat MC...
Hi Eire. Sorry u find yourself here but welcome! How far were you? Is this your first pg/mc?
Hello! I was 6 or 7 weeks along. We were not TTC, as we have what my husband considers enough children, but now that I have had the MC, I am obsessed with TTC. I tried to rest to stop the MC, and spent hours and hours on MN. I have joined two other threads, and was avidly watching this one, but I had to join in to share that news article. Thanks for the welcome. I feel such empathy now...
eire thanks for the article and I wanted to say I am so sorry for your mc.
I read the article thinking ooh could this be me? I am going for tests soon re recurrent chem pregs. I have to admit with each of them (3 cp out of a possible 4) it felt like it was just about implanted but the embryo died very quickly after that.
Thanks for the article it has perked me up.
Thanks whenshe...I thought it would help/console some of thw women I have read about here...I only joined MN a few days ago, and am unfamilar with the netiquette for such a situation- do you think I should start a thread about this article?
Hello Eire, welcome! It's lovely to have new posters. That article has made me feel better already and I've only seen the title. I will have a read now. Thanks for posting!
Sorry to hear about your mc It really sucks doesn't it. Fx for another BFP for you very soon...
Whenshe - friends can be so thoughtless can't they. I went round to see two friends recently and after ten minutes they started asking me if I was pregnant. I would never ask someone that!
Sorry to hear about your BFN Almond. Is that the end of your WTF cycle?
How is everyone this evening? I have just cooked a curry I couldn't eat because it was so hot (my throw it all in without measuring thing probably shouldn't stretch to chilli powder), but DH seemed happy.
welcome Eire . Sorry for your loss. Thanks for sharing the article with us.
Hi girls and welcome Eire
When, that test was abit out of order, even of you just text saying was just thinking about you and wanted to see if you were ok, it would be an opening without jumping right in, sounds like that friend who asked me why I'd had a mc! Ur I don't know do you think there's anything wrong she was saying, ummm not helping I was thinking!!
I'm still bleeding worse today then the last 2, I'm sick of it, I'm not going to hold out any hope for this cycle as I have literally no idea where I'd be and I just can't be bothered doing opk all cycle, my body just feels broken at the moment , but I'll still lurk, I'm not dead after all
Lolcb wheres the strawberry come from?
Thanks baby for letting me know long bleeding isn't all that uncommon, I fear that's what happened with me as not had any day with a really heavy bleed and think it struggeling to clear
Thanks posy. She is really sweet but she gets pregnant (and hangs on to them with no trouble). So I don't think she is trying to be insensitive she just hasn't been there and doesn't get it.
eire there is a section on mc / pregnancy loss. I would have a look in there if I were you. Thanks again that article has made me feel better.
Hope u r feeling better when. I read the article too. Feel positive even though it only happened to me once.
Kitty- on the August thread there were 2 bfps over the last week, one for berri and one for bananas so a few of us added fruit to our names for good luck. Silly I know
Hi girls, I tried the Superdrug tests a few days ago and got the faintest
almost not there line 2 days in a row so went and bought FRER test and nothing. They are the most sensitive so think thats pretty conclusive! I wonder if the strip shows through on them? AF due tomor so just going to have to wait for it to arrive . I'm having wine as we speak and had sushi for tea so I'm doing everything anti pregnancy !
On a good note got some lush new clothes (but did opt for stretchy stuff JIC!).
Eire welcome! Sorry to hear about your MC. Similar time as mine. How many kids do u have? Thanks for the article, I'll have a read later (on mob now)!
Thanks for all the welcomes. I have 3 nine year olds, and 1 five year old, so DH is not being totally unreasonable in thinking we have enough. It's just, with the triplets life was so hectic, chaotic babyhood- I missed out on those joyful moments where one simply relishes her infant's fleeting newness, and did not even know what I had missed out on till I had the "singleton"...
You had triplets I struggled a lot with one when she was tiny (colic).
Thanks kitty I have been toting up the number of insensitive responses to my chem pregs (the v few who know). It is only that that have been there themselves who say anything vaguely pleasant. I know the rest are trying to help though.
almond I am really sorry the FRER didn't work out. Good call on the wine and sushi.
lol I am going to change my name to something fruit related. Need all the luck I can get.
Ok name change done
Think your nickname is too long when!
I can't see it
Triplets god that must have been hard, I can't begin to imagine!!!
Hard day with dd today where I must admit bedtime could not come soon enough and I thought am I mad wanting another now, she is 1, if I hadn't mc first time I'd be due in 4 months
When, we have lots in common my dd had colic too, god it was hard, you can't begin to describe it can you!! Make sure you get the book I mentioned though about sleep next time as I really think its amazing as even my monkey was on 12+ a night straight at 12wks, at worst she cried for 8 hrs solid one night and I was on my own!!
Just a bit of help really. Mc wasn't recent last one was 6 yrs ago but was at 18wks and a horrible experience. Pregnancy with ds was difficult from the beginning and followed in PND. Basically I've had a crap time when it's come to pregnancy! Dh and I are wanting no 2. We have started not being so careful on the contraception front tonight and basically I got cold feet, suddenly very scared of the reality but so gutted as really want another. Need some advice and support from those who have been there and understand. Oh and just come off fluoxetine after 8mths of depression and anxiety .
just seen it too! Love it.
fruity luck vibes x
Wow, triplets Eire. Your house must be busy! It is understandable that you want to experience another baby though. What does your husband say? I think my husband may take persuading if ever I get to the position of wanting a third. I think I do, and he has made it pretty clear he's not keen.
Hello cupcake. I am so sorry to hear about your late miscarriage. That must have been so awful. I am sorry to hear that you've had a crap time with pregnancy and not surprised you feel worried. How old is your DS?
Hi cupcake, what does pnd mean?
I'm sorry to hear about your late mc, that must have been really harrowing for you and difficult, have they told you that you will be likely to experience problems in a pregnancy again?
Drs have been lovely and as tests brought back no problems it's luck of the draw. PND (post natal depression)
Will a vegetable do? When put with posy all the fruits I have tried make me sound like I am about seven!
I think it is very hard for someone else to try and put themselves in a position different to there's so not really sure what to advise you, I think I would work with doctors to decide what is best to do with depression and that aspect as what is right for you wouldn't be right for everyone else but if they say the pregnancy aspect was just bad luck then you have to decide if your willing to take that risk, it may well be a hard pregnancy or filled with Anxiety but is it worth it to you for another dc? Or are you happy with your ds, to an very scared of what could go wrong when we try again or the fact I could have more mc etc but I know I want another do I'm prepared to take that risk but if it was that it could cause problems to me/ my family and my mental well being it is possible I would not feel the same
Morning ladies. Welcome Eirehead and cupcake. Sorry for your losses. Eirehead I can't even begin to imagine how you coped with triplets and thanks for sharing article. cupcake deciding to ttc is scary but if your doctor thinks you are ok then go for it as you may regret not ttc later on in life.
Almond so sorry about your bfn. But if af has not showed there is always hope.
kiity sorry that your bleeding still there and heavier. I know you just want it over so you can get closure on your mc and start afresh.
when posy and lol like new names. Can't believe someone asked were you pg yet when. I'd never ask even anyone even if a small bump was visible until told.
Baby yeah for the bfn. Yes it's weird being happy to see a bfn.
vix never heard of a roller derby? Hope you enjoyed.
Well I'm technically on cd 20. Don't know if I Ov or not. Haven't tested in a couple of days. But dtd anyway jic.
Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday's.
Thank you ladies it really does help.
I've stoped bleeding, I've stoped bleeding
< does a merry jig around the room>
I realise it still may rear its ugly head but non all night and not up till now apart from a tiny but of yellowey discharge so I think that's a good sign, plus dh is now off for 4 days so well timed for " getting it on"
Kittykats- I have also stopped bleeding this morning! So relieved. I did a cheap HPT and BFN- thrilled! I am so, as they used to say in my teen years, "psyched". In order to tempt fate, I gathered up the remainder of baby stuff I had (hoping to need things shortly) for DH to hand to his SIL today, then went to an outlet shop and bought 3 size 12 dresses, which hopefully will not fit soon! Combining science and superstition in prep for TTC!
Thanks muchin i am sure I am not alone in having people ask questions thoughtlessly. I know there is no unkindness there just thoughtless.
cupcake hi glad the replies are helping, hope you are feeling good today.
kitty I am doing a little dance for you too. I was getting worried about your iron levels.
Welcome *Cupcake Sorry for your loss. Good luck with your new TTC journey. I too had PND and am a little worried it will return.
A big hooray for KittyKats Enjoy your few days with DH ;) and also to *Eire
Hope everyone is having a relaxing Bank Holiday weekend?
Yes I'm surprised I didn't get dizy after the dance it was getting me down, just done a cheepy test although it was probably abit dilute given the bottle
s of beer I just had it is a very faint line, still visible but I think a few more days will see it disappear
Thanks, babyjames. DH (teacher) is back to work tomorrow, so may be tired!
I can feel your relief kitty. No bleeding and bfn is a blessing at this point!!
I'm on cd5. Planning all sorts of excuses for shag fest!
welcome cupcake. Good luck with TTC and sorry about your loss. You're in the right place! These ladies are a great support
yay kitty! happy the bleeding as stopped. Same for me! Stopped on Friday and DH and I were able to Dtd Did a quick hpt and had a very very very faint positive, but I'm sure that will dwindle over the next few days. Now the ov symptom spotting starts! Last month after MC I was able to feel quite strongly the OV pains, so will be looking out for them now! CD 7 here, the shag fest commences!
Thanks everyone it's so nice to have people who have been there. Anxiety is sky high today and had a tear filled wobble last night, sure pmt has a lot to do with it!
Good luck to everyone who's ttc. Something I'm sure all of us appreciate how difficult the road to a baby can be
The bleeding came back
Only abit ie one panty lines but back to red when will it stop?
kitty argh can't believe the bleeding has started again. Do you think it's worth a trip to the GP. I was kidding before when I said I was worried about your iron levels but now I am genuinely worried (hope you are taking your vits).
I'm taking the sanatagen mum to be which probably have it in, I have to ring the epu anyway ( was surposed to Thursday ) to say if I had a neg test, I've delayed it hoping the weekend would see an end to it all but no so I will mention it and await their advice tomoz , thanks for the concern when
Kitty sorry to hear about the bleeding! Hope the EPU can shed some light on it.
Cupcake hope you are feeling a bit better this evening.
Still no AF this end. Waiting, waiting, waiting! Might POAS again in the morning...
Love the new name kitty. Sorry u seem to be bleeding again
Have u had a neg hpt yet?
And I wasn't even that pregnant, I seem to have been miscarrying longer then I've been pregnant for!!
I was going to start cd1 as the day I felt mc happened, the heaviest red blood which I surpose still wasn't that heavy but definatly as it went wrong, that was the Monday night and confirmed thur with bloods down aswell but that was 15 days ago and I don't feel like I can be cd15 with still bleeding and a faint pos so feeling abit glum about that, I'm fed up of seeing it now and still feel like I have back ache so hoping its not infected/ incomplete?
Do you think this sounds excessive for only a 5 wks pregnancy? I was 8wks last time and was more blood but alot less time
Oh kitty sorry to hear bleeding has returned. Defo get it checked to see if there is an infection. But more than likely there is no infection. You sound just the way it happened with me. As it was wearing off I'd get one day no bleeding, next day bleeding, then it would stretch to two days etc. my baby had stopped growing at 7+6.
Jessie glad your bleeding stopped. Roll on Ov!!!
Oh almond good luck poas tomorrow. Fx for you.
Liking all the new fruity names. Don't think there is much to go ith mine. Melon or mango????
Totally have lost it. I left my handbag behind me this evening when waiting for dh. When I realised I didn't have it I went back but it was gone. Wallet, cr cards yearly bus ticket etc etc. I have cancelled cards but I feel so stupid and annoyed.
Argh sorry to hear that the bleeding is back kitty, you should mention it to gp/epu to see if they could perhaps do another scan to see whats going on?
Fx for you tomorrow almond.
munch thats awful, there are some really horrible people in this world! Hopefully you'll get everything replaced quickly.
Welcome cupcake so sorry to hear about your loss.
Its been a bit of a manic weekend here! Was out doing skating with a new team yesterday approx 50 miles away from us and then bbq afterwards so it was a long day and today we've had a friend visiting as he was down south visiting family so he spent the afternoon here on his way back up north.
Anyone else feel like its a Sunday night? Feel like im gonna have my days mixed up all week!
So I poas this morning and a BFN! CD31 and not pg and no AF. I know it's only just late but I'm so fed up of this WTF cycle. I had a little cry this morning . I can't stop obsessing and don't feel u can move on until I get my AF. Sorry for the gloom this morning!
Munchin I vote mango!!! Do you like my new name?
kittykat I too had an mc at 5 1/2 weeks and I bled heavier but it was all over in about 4 days. It might be useful to take your temp or do the ov sticks just to see if you're body is back in cycle... Can't remember if you're doing that already.
Almond sounds like a miserable night. Its so hard to keep our spirits up all the time. When I had my 2nd mc of the year in July I started bleeding just before I had to do a big presentation at work, had to be all upbeat and chipper when I was cramping badly, had toilet paper stuck between my legs and was dying inside! The faces we have to put on to get through...!
I feel your pain almond. Mine arrived at cd35 and I was terrified it might take ages. So try not to panic
easy to say
Kitten my hospital told me you can bleed for up to 6 weeks with no infection! I bled for about 16 days and was only 7 weeks when lost baby. How is it today? Heavy?
Sorry you are in limbo land almond (good name change). Hope you feel better when af finally arrives.
Lol thanks. I was trying to remember what day your AF came. I think I'm running a week behind you. My MC was a month ago tomorrow . Hopefully AF shows up this week!
Suzy that sounds very brave of you!! I literally ran out of work!
I do feel like I need to suck it up a bit and get over it. My sister said something quite poignant to me today which was 'if you squeeze sand too hard it runs away between your fingers'. Must get some woosaa in my life but I'm the most up tight person in the world!! Maybe chilling out will bring on AF then a BFP for Sep!!
almond, I am so uptight (as well!) that I don't even understand what the metaphor is about sand.... does it mean that if you overthink things then you lose them, or you just suck the joy out of them?
Cuz if that's the case I'm f***ed! (wink)
I dtd last night after I got a happy face on the Clearblue Test so my fingers are really crossed for this week. DP angry and feels he's on the chain gang and that he has to 'turn it on' at a moment's notice. Ah, the complaints of older people!!
Hi everyone loving all the name changes. Almond fx af arrives soon, my first one was cd33 but they say it will come between 4-6 wks,
I've had an amazing few days off, really enjoyed it although knackered!!
Dd bday party sunday was great and we've been swimming etc today so much fun for her, I'm spotting today abit of brown but not much, it's not bad at all it just there everyday which is why it's bugging, epu phoned me but I didn't hear my phone so will speak to them tomorrow, in the mean time going to dtd anyway tonight, if our parents never used to know they were pg or had mc they must have carried on dtd and my new af will be here before I get a chance if we don't hop to it, im not hopeful for this month but don't want to give it no chance at all
Has anyone else done anything nice? X
Thanks almond I went with your suggestion. ( liking your name)Hope it's lucky for us. Sorry about the bfn. I understand need for af to arrive o arrive so you can get on with ttc.
Wow Suzy i cant believe you had to work through your mc, that was one test of character. Imagine your dp feeling used you'd think guys would jump at excuse for frequent dtd.
Lol I wish my hospital had told me that. Would have saved a lot of anxiety. How are you?
Kitty glad you enjoyed your few days. Sorry the spotting is still there, it will go. Your right if you even think back to grandparents or before thy defo had no idea what was going on and did just that get on with it.
So I'm happy to report my bag has been returned to me intact. A lady saw it and rang my bank and left her contact details. Good o know there are decent people out there. I'm a bit apprehensive tonight as my dd has her first day of school tomorrow. I'm getting loads of your baby is gone comments. This is true I know but all I can think of is that I should have been due a baby into months time.
Glad your bag was returned safe, obviously there are some decent people left out there!
Hard times this month then with a milestone ahead, it's really difficult isn't it and I guess we will all still look back and think, they would have been 1 this year or going to school now etc etc
I think it will ease but never truly go x
muchin those comments must be really painful to hear. I hope you are feeling strong. Good news about the bag though.
kitty really really hope the bleeding stops today.
suzy how the hell did you get through work during your mc? I am so impressed.
glad to hear your bag was returned munchin!!
suzy don't know how you got through work when you started to miscarry, work was the last thing on my mind and i def couldn't have been in the office - i was an emotional mess!
kitty fingers crossed for you that that bleeding stops for you soon. Please take care of yourself and make sure you're getting the extra iron etc.
almond any news on af or hpt results?
I'm due af tomorrow working on a normal 28 days but don't really feel like it's coming (iykwim) so not sure what is going on at the moment!
Munch glad you went with Mango! Fingers crossed it works for us (for those who dont know another thread with fruity names has had lots of BFPs recently!). Glad you got your bag too!
Vix still no change this end CD32. Soo frustrating. Had really bad cramps yesterday then nothing and today feel fine! Going to hold of poas for few more days. Likelyhood is v slim now as we haven't DTD for a week or so! thanks for asking
Suzy I think what she meant was if you stress over something too much it isn't going to happen. Relaxed mind + relaxed body = BFP! That is my new mantra. Went back to netball last night so trying to be as 'normal' as possible!
So, having said my 'relaxed mantra' I now have a new worry. Anyone concerned about conceiving and having an Aug baby? Someone mentioned it to me yesterday and said they were really disadvantaged in school...
Munch thanks for your concern. My mc was on the 20th July so just over a month ago. I've just had af so at least wtf cycle is over. Now on cd8 and getting ready for shag fest
Kitty how is the bleeding?
Hope everyone is feeling ok x
Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me joining? I, unfortunately, had a miscarriage at 4.5 weeks on 15th Aug. My hCG levels were 6 which is near enough gone on the 18th which is when I stopped bleeding. My DH and I have been DTD every other day/2 days and just wondered if it is actually possible to have conceived? God-knows when my period will start or when I'll ovulate but just thought I'd see what everyone's thoughts were? xx
Almond obviously severely outing myself but my dd was born on 31th aug so she will officially be the youngest in school on their intake, she was due 21st sep so nothing you can plan I'm afraid and to be honest not something I lay awake fretting about!
If I thought she was a little slower I would keep her back but to be honest it pushes some charente and by the time they come to secondry it would make no difference, the plus is you pay a year less for child care!!
Almond a week ago to last dtd is nothing, in my last pg I didn't get A very very faint + till 16 days after we had last dtd? Go figure that one unless it had been the only other time that was 4 days before in my attempt to bring on af, neither made much sence!!
Just abit of pale brown spotting today mixed with normal cm but I darnt get to hopeful, will attempt dtd tonight as we fell out last night
Kt it is indeed possible but too early to find out for another few weeks yet, don't be surprised if your cycle is a little longer and ov later then normal though
We're in no hurry and I know I'll have the dreaded 2ww. I've heard from various people who have had miscarriages that they spent some weeks dtd and waiting to come on but didn't know they were actually pregnant! Just found that very bizarre! x
Any chance you can get pregnant after DDT only once but that once being the middle day in your supposed fertile days from the mumsnet ovulation calendar. DP stressed at minute so having problems with libido ,poor him
Little pink, course it is. Even if we dtd eod only one of those occasions is the one that might result in pregnancy, does that make sence, sperm can apparently last up to 7 days in the right conditions, usually up to 5but when I got pregnant after dd we had only dtd 2 times in the previous couple of months as he had broken arm and I'd not got af back ( bf) and got pg!!
Kitty thanks for the positive msg! Not going to worry about the Aug thing as just want that BFP too much! Hadn't thought of the child are thing either !! I'm still holding out some small hope for a BFP but not having any pg symptoms unlike last time when they were ferocious! When did you start getting symptoms?
Re August birthday almond I know what you mean. I am considering giving ttc a miss when an Aug birthday is a possiblity. My dd appeared two weeks early so I might have to miss two months.
Not really sure what to do. Also if I leave it until a Sept birthday there would be 3 school years diff between dd and new baby (I was hoping a 2 year gap but you can't always control these things).
That last message was written at midday I thought I posted it then. Kitty thanks for the info on your daughter. If it isn't worrying you then I'm not going to worry either.
No it doesn't worry me, I know at the time I though oh j can't believe shes going to be the youngest when everyone had said oh she'll be the oldest, that's good but as I say I've never met anyone who's said they felt at a disadvantage and I think children are what you make them, if you invest time reading etc with them they will develop quicker, aparently it only affects them confidence wise really but I think you can counteract that, by the time it makes a difference I don't think there will be a problem I think it's just when they start that I surpose some might be reading etc
But in terms of stoping trying etc there's no point and I won't let it effect me, you know the old saying about the best made plans!! My god daughter was born at 24wks where babies are concerned I don't think they will ever do what you'd like or expect, I'd hate to think the month id stoped would be the bfp. I think the best way to think is if you missed this month, carried on trying and it got to the same time the following year would you still be trying to dictate it or would you just want it no matter when or how it came?!?
had a busy few days and can't keep up with you all! Welcome ktfrd and anyone else I have missed.
kittykatskumkwat glad the bleeding is becoming lighter. My friends daughter also has an August Birthday who was meant to be a September. She is also bright as a button I agree that I just want to carry on trying. I'm not getting any younger and don't want to miss an opportunity.
Almond am liking your new relaxed self. I too went back to my fitness class this week. Was a bit strange and everyone kept asking where I'd been.
Munchin so glad your bag has been returned I wrote a message yesterday then managed to delete it somehow saying I hoped it would get handed in.
Had a bit of a wobble today when I had to follow a funeral procession in town. Am trying to stay positive and focus on DS but sometimes emotions catch me out! I am now on cycle day 12 if I count first day as heavy blood loss in MC. Anyone else around same as me? Know it's going to be a WTF cycle though! I have started the OPK sticks today as couldn't help myself! Early too for me as usual cycles are around 32 days
Hi everyone, hope you're well! Am enjoying the paralympic opening ceremonies currently
babyjames am near to you in cycle: am on CD9 since heavy blood loss, and started OPKs 2 days ago. Can't wait to see that smiley, although I know I may be waiting awhile (glad I have 20 of them!)
fx almond that you will get a BFP!!
littlepink every one of my pregnancies has been from one time only! That probably says a lot but we both have demanding jobs w long hours and am old and tired! In one instance we both didn't remember having sex -- so the sex doesn't have to be memorable or good!
It only takes one shot, but at the right time of course!!
jessiethecowgirl nice to know someone is testing fairly near me. We can hopefully keep each other sane! I could be slightly out on my dates so we will see! I am also armed with about 15 OPK tests and a load of internet Amazon pregnancy strips!
We are going away at the weekend for a week (Shag week ) so not sure how much of a chance we will have this month as we in a tiny caravan, one room with DS! We will give it every attempt though! We started DTD night before last. DH said he couldn't possibly do every day anyway so we will just see how it all pans out! Am watching for that smiley! Need to do a suzydelarosa and time it right
Hello everyone, I have changed my name again - potatoes weren't giving me much PMA! (loving everyone else's namechanges btw )
Jessie glad to hear you're OK and back on board the ttc bandwagon. Fx for this month!!
Almond with my pregnancies I didn't actually really get any symptoms (doesn't stop me symptom spotting now though!) so you never know... Fx for you.
Kt sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Hope you're feeling OK now. Welcome!
I have been really hormonal the last few days and even wondered if I might be pregnant (on CD10, ha ha). Does anyone else's hormones go funny before ovulation? It is probably just me being an idiot though! x
babyjames I am on CD12 now too by the way (nice to have cycle buddies!) If it helps, my WTF cycle was 32 days, and my cycles are usually 28-30 days, so it wasn't much longer. So you might get that smiley soon!
Thanks Suzy and Kitty! I know it's very unlikely but I'm so so keen for another baby. Mc in July at 13 weeks. It was quite traumatic and after being really sick through the 1 weeks I had thought it was a good sign- but evidently not. Got pregnant that time after Dtd only twice so feel very unlikely to happen again. Age is not on my side either having just turned 42. Feel like an antique though feel and look younger x
Hi littlepink, definitely possible if it's within your window! Sorry to hear about your mc - that must have been really stressful. My DH gets stressed having to dtd on demand too. Don't blame them really - I do too sometimes!
Well day 2 and no bleeding plus dtd last night and there was non after that so I think that was the test, A pointless shag really as dh had jumped in the bath with me earlier so that no doubt zapped all his swimmers but hey ho, Will aim this wkend for abit more action aswell
Almond any more developments?
littlepink I'm 42 as well so really understand that feeling of urgency. But I've been pg twice in the last six months and know lots of people getting pg at this age or older.
Sorry to hear about your mc and at 13 wks. That's awful. Look after yourself.
Kitty glad the bleeding has stopped and your back DTD. I had a bit of a meltdown about it and DH felt too under pressure about was about a week after bleeding stopped for us!
I'm on CD33 now and no AF or no BFP (poas this morn). Swinging between being certain my AF is coming and then thinking I could be pg. We DTD CD17-23 pretty consistently. Then had brown smear on CD25 and was convinced AF was coming...then nothing! No major symptoms except for cramps (again sure AF was coming) and last couple of days metallic taste.
What do you guys think? Just a long cycle after MC or is there still a chance?
littlepink really sorry about your mc at 13 weeks. Best of luck ttc again.
almond the optimistic part of me is thinking, possible implantation on cd25 but if you are on cd33 the test should have gone positive by now if it was implantation. It is possible you oved later than you think so there is not enough hcg yet.
I don't know really. My mind is veering towards more negative thoughts at the moment.
Almond officially that was cd17 for me so we started the same time, it just took that long for me to finally stop, I've been having a meltdown everyday for months lol
I'm like when, it did sound abit like implantation but at the same time you'd expect a + by now of it was, late ov is a definate, id say almost certainty even if it's only a few days later then normal, I used to think bfn around the time due was a definate neg but that was before I had that random cycle last month which had never happened before and didn't get a faint + til cd38 so anything is possible til af tells you different, it's torture I know but there's no other way of knowing, I don't think it will be that long until you know for sure either way if that's any consolation?
When are you using the opk? Is this your week?!? I think my ov if I do could be anytime in the next week or two!
I did get very bad ov pains the cycle after mc last time so will be interesting to see if it's the same again, no signs yet
Almond in my last cycle I had a metallic taste before bfp it was the first time I've ever had it but definate
Ou AlmondAvocado could that brown smear have been
whispers quietly implantation?! Have everything crossed for you. How long are your usual cycles? What test did you use?
littlepinkfizz so sorry for your loss. There is no reason to think it cant happen again so quickly. My DH is also stressing about DTD so much!
Kitty hooray for 2 days no bleeding and a bonus DTD.
posyplum thanks for sharing your cycle info. I'm hoping that I may catch on this WTF cycle
I can dream and hope . Must be so hard getting AF after MC.
We could do with a list again! I have forgot everyones details!
Oh almond how annoying!!! Can't believe you are still in limbo. Hope af never shows
When I fell pg in June it was also from one shag only so it does work! All it takes is one little guy.
I've nothing to report. Just that headache over which in itself is a major achievement!
Thanks Suzy and posyplum. It's great to have support here as we are all in the same boat! Least I know I'm not a lone nutjob . Big hugs to us all who have mc now or previously. It's a lorra lorra hugs we need x
Oh poor you Almond, I hope you find out either way soon (and that it's a bfp!).
littlepink def not the only nutjob! Am laughing at lorra lorra. Where's cilla when you need her?
Lol I've had a few headaches recently, and have been blaming the weather. Or spending too much time on mumsnet, ha ha.
babyjames it's definitely possible to catch on the first cycle - fx for you! I'll dig out the list when I've had a cuppa (toddler asleep - bliss)
Hi how is everyone? I've been gone for a couple of days but feel like I've missed loads, you are all quite the chatterboxes here!
Almond I've got my fingers crossed for you - hopefully a bfp soon.
We've been trying over the weekend there but I think we're going to stop for a while, ds was just dx with asd yesterday so dtd is the last thing on both our minds right now.
(my phone keeps auto-correcting DTD to STD - do you think that's a coincidence? )
Just to add, my son was a February birth and I was told by his head teacher that he'd be at a disadvantage because of that, so August birth is fine for me.
Hi ladies wow this thread moves so fast, but that is good as there is always someone to chat to. So first and second days of school have gone really well. All the worrying for nothing tg!!
Welcome to kt and littlepink, sorry for your losses. Littlepink I'm well into 40 so you're not alone.
Almond sorry you are in limbo. I know the feeling you want a bfp but if it's not bring on af so you can try again. I don't mean to raise your hopes but on all my pgs I had that metallic taste. Fx!!!
Kitty yeah to two days in row with no bleeding.
Pedantic sorry to hear about your ds I'm sure your up the walls with worry. Autocorrect drives me mad!!
Posyplum liking the new name.
Lol glad your feeling better. I agree also when I got pg last march. We dtd two days in a row one week and then once two weeks later. I never found out which one did the trick though as I got news that baby had stopped growing at dating scan and I had a very big sac.
Babyjames I've defo forgotten everyone's details. Good luck with dtd on your week away.
Jessie good your back ttc. I'm with you there would love to see a smiley face. Did a random opk yest but no smiley
Hi Suzy I know what you mean not having energy to dtd. Although my dh only complaint is that we don't practice enough!!!
If I have left anyone out sorry.
Nothing to report here on ttc front. On cd 24 of god only knows how long a cycle as af lasted two weeks and I have not managed to detect a smiley face. I dont think I can cope with waiting months for another af. May have to think about giving up but really don't want to.
Having a bad day today feeling most emotional since the first day of MC. I followed yet another funeral today, that's 2 this week now. Been sat here crying my eyes out since I've got home.
Oh babyjames I'm sorry to hear you are having a bad day. I get affected by things like that too, even without the m/c thrown in. You have been through a tough time recently, so it's not surprising you are feeling up and down. Big hugs from me xxx
Big hugs from me too babyjames. Be kind to yourself and try to do something you find relaxing even if just sitting down with a cuppa and a biscuit xxx
Thanks Posy and Littlepink. I have picked DS up from nursery now so having to control my emotions. We are going to the park in a bit mso that will distract me! He is only 2 and he said yesterday "Mummy you have a baby in your belly". He must have picked it up before. When I told him I havn't he kept asking why not!
Baby sorry to hear your having a bad day. I find distraction is the best way to cope. Hugs x
Just had a friend teasing me on when I'm going to have a baby. I'm at a pub in a big group and my eyes filled with tears. I told him- I was pg actually but lost my baby 6 weeks ago.
Feel utterly crap. I actually love this guy but he is so insensitive!
Lol sorry to hear that. Generally guys are crap and say stuff without thinking. How did he react when you told him? Hope he bought you a drink to say sorry . Hug x
Oh dear lol and baby, it's hard isn't it
I've found im stupidly emotional about things, crying at all sorts when I'm usually quite "hard" as my friends would say, Im lucky I havnt been questioned since the last two mc about other babies as my parents know and I guess my little girl is still young but this weekend comming I know I'm going to be asked as with 3 other pregnant girls!!!
I've found distraction the last two weeks a godsend and now 4 th day dry feeling much better.
Posy I love the new name, it reminds me of those flower fairies or whatever they were, do you remember? I think one I had was called Victoria shortcake?
Not been around for a little while. Sorry baby and lol that you are feeling at the moment.
Really pleased for kitty though re the bleeding.
Bit pissed off here a few days ago I felt like I was just about to ov but got no positive opk. It is cd 17 now and I still have no positive opk and don't feel at all fertile (have a bit of a cold so that isn't helping).
Ah poor you lol, people can be so insensitive. I found myself telling some old friends recently too, as they just came out with 'are you pregnant'. Would have been easier if they hadn't asked me the question (as I wouldn't!)
babyjames I hope you're feeling better. Before my mc I had started reading books about new babies to my LO (2.4) so I had that kind of comment for a bit afterwards too. She has since moved onto a new obsession though (making things).
Thanks kittykat it reminded me of being about seven too. It was Victoria Plum and Strawberry Shortcake (and the flower fairies were something else, not that I am an expert!). Strawberry had a boyfriend called Huckleberry Pie!
When sorry to hear you're having a confusing cycle. A cold could well have delayed things. If it's any consolation, when I got pregnant in June I couldn't have felt less fertile and was astonished when I got a BFP. What cycle post-mc are you on?
Thanks for the lovely comments. Feel better now. On way to wedding.
When- could it be that the stick missed it but u still ov'd?
Kitty are you still blood free?
Hope u have a good day x
Hi everyone, sorry to hear about those who are feeling down. I've also been a bit up and down lately. Whenever I see a lady with a bump (they're everywhere!) I get a bit sad. And one my bf's is 8 weeks pregnant and in the full swing of morning sickness and I'm so jealous lol.
I'm on CD12 and nothing yet on OPKs, but DH and I are still DTD EOD just in case. Really really want to see that smiley!!
hang in there everyone - soon we will all have our BFPs and this little blip will seem like nothing.
Its been a rubbish few days hasn't it. I am feeling the same. On CD36 and still now AF or BFP! I just don't know what to think anymore! Not even a sniff of the AF arriving and the last couple of days I have had EWCM??!! I read somewhere that you can have multiple OV symptoms in a messed up cycle. We haven't been DTD but may try and convince the DH just in case. But if I am OV now I have got another 2 weeks to wait until AF??? When will this awful cycle end ?
Jessie I am feeling the same at the moment. Ladies with bumps are the worst and then people with little babies. I somehow agreed to go to HorseWorld today with a friend of mine with 2 kids which means I am going to be surrounded by them today. Must be strong...she knows luckily so at least I can confide in her.
Hope you all have lovely weekends! I had a lovely lie-in today which I thought at least I can still do these!
posy hi thanks for the message. There's nothing really wrong with my cycle (I hope). I am just being really impatient. I have actually had three chem pregs in a row, I joined the thread because I am getting investigated for recurrent mcs. GP was good enough to send me for tests even though they were very early losses.
lol you could be right about the stick missing it, I kind of hope that is what it is as I should be covered dtd wise if I did ov.
jessie good work with the eod, I wish I had your stamina
almond can't believe af is still keeping you waiting.
Hi almond - ah, horseworld, I know it well! I had yet another friend have a baby last week, and one expecting this week, and both those have DC1s exactly my LOs age. And a pregnancy announcement with the due date I should have had. I know dates don't really mean anything but they did make me a little sad.
Jessie, sorry to hear you're also up and down. I think we all need some PMA!!!
Anyone got any?
ps almond, I forgot to say that I have heard that ewcm can occur before AF. Though I hope it's a 2nd ovulation that you can grab! How long are your cycles normally? Hope that either your BFP or AF come soon so you know where you are, it's horrible being in limbo.
When - three cp in a row, poor you. That must have been really stressful one after another. I am glad your GP is looking into it for you. Fx for a sticky one very soon! x
at posy!!! I had Victoria plum, i don't know how you remember all that, think I must have been about 7, did they smell of fruit or am I mad?!?
Almond- get dtd again, just to be sure, I found last cycle the same, had random EWCM a week after I expected ov, dtd just incase and that was definatly the one that caught, yes it will suck if you have to wait another 2 wks but better to suck with a chance then suck knowing there's no way you could be pg!!
No bleeding still, think that's definatly over now but don't think I'm going to be able to dtd now for another 4 days as dh shifts class with mine the only thing I can do is wake him up today when lo has a nap about 11 but he will only have had 7 ish hours sleep and may be totally not up for it..... It sucks because they has got to be my key time. No EWCM or pains though as yet
posy thanks. It hasn't been great but at least I get them over and done with really quickly. With the last two I was very certain they would end badly as the line was stupidly faint. At the moment I have managed to convince myself I just have a stupidly fertile uterus that keepings letting embryos implant that don't have a chance.
Got some fertility tests coming up so hopefully they will say everything is normal and I will just have to wait for a decent embryo.
kitty sorry the timing is rubbish for you dtd wise. You have just stopped bleeding in thr last few days though so hopefully ov is a week off for you.
Thanks when, I guess itd be better if I was later this week but at the same time I want it to be now lol then I don't have to wait so long!! Can't believe I used to have cycles that were only 26 ish days long, they seem like distant memory's now <wistful face>
Just checking in...so CD37 now and still no AF?!! Bored now! I think I'm going to give it another week then call Docs. Anyone poas soon?? I think I'm out for Sep now and relegated straight to Oct .
Oh almond!!!! I feel your pain!
It might mean you pg??
Have u ladies used conceive plus? I'm tempted to give it a go!
The 3 times a day was a lady from other thread! I can't even get DH to do it twice
Lol I don't think many people do it more then twice aday if they are over 20 not sure wether you should anyway as aparently you get better sperm if it has a day or so to develop or was that a TTC myth??!
Almond, how anoying I was there last cycle accept the one after mc was 32 days, it was the next that I didn't get a super faing bfp til day 38!!
Fx it's because your pregnant
Hi all. Hope you're all well. I'm on cd 21 and already I poas this morning. What's wrong with me?!
I know implantation prob has yet to happen if it's gonna happen. Really should invest my stocks in clearblue. Think I've prob spent about £500 this year in ovulation and pg tests!
Hope everyone is doing okay.
Thanks girls! I bought some cheap dip stick pg tests off Ebay (Suzy maybe get some of those as they are £1.99 for 20 so you can poas guilt free) which I have been doing every 2/3 days and all negative. Really dont think I am but nice thought! I am thinking of going for some acupuncture as I have heard that is good...
Lol was thinking about getting some Conceive Plus. Have you heard good things?
3 times a day??! We would be lucky to sustain EOD...
Been trying to distract myself with house hunting. We werent going to start till next year but my DH is so fed up with me that he suggested we start so I can put my mind to something else. Only thing is that I think we will be putting the house on the market in a couple of weeks...eeek!
Hi ladies how is everyone doing? What's this three times a day??? Not a chance in our house lol!!! Id say only happens in fifty shades books!!!
Almond any luck yet? I feel your pain it's do frustrating.
Suzy don't beat yourself up I'm a poasaholic!!!!
Kitty glad the bleeding definitely stopped. You never know you might ov later than expected this month.
Sorry I can't name check everyone as on phone here.
I'm on cd 29, tender boobs so feel AF should come soon. Fx. I poas on sat and it was -ve. It's ok as I never really was able to tell when or if I ov. Just want a new cycle to start and get on with it.
Suzy I'd poas everyday if they wernt so bloody expensive!!!
Munchin sorry about bfn there is still time although I know what you mean about wanting to just be out of limbo land!
Cd22 for me but I fully expect ov to be late and don't think it's happened yet, hopefully in the next few days as I really hate these long cycles, luckily dh last shift tonight then 4 days off so I will try and optimise my chances with that, we've done it eod since last week bar today where he was too tired hopefully back on track tomorrow
Well done kitty on the eod. Don't think I'd even have the energy for that. I'd say you prob will ov late so shift work over in time.
Well in my true poasaholic style I decided to poas on opk this morning as I was getting alot of cramps on one side. So I got a smiley face. First one I have gotten in months!! Nearly as excited as if it was a bfp. How sad is that??? So I'm going to have to find energy for dtd over next few days. I'm on cd 30 in my second cycle since erpc last April. It's just I'm always interested in other peoples experiences.
How is everyone else doing?
munchin on the smiley, I definatly get almost as happy seeing that as bfp, it's like a little nod of approval, the lines just arnt the same!!
Cd30 is late! Do you often have long cycles?
It's definatly ov is it and not a + for hpt, opk can pick that up aswell although I surpose if you only did a neg hpt yesterday it's probably unlikely ?
Ah kitty don't be putting ideas in my head lol!!! I'm in work and nothing to poas on lol. I got a -ve hpt on sat which was cd 26. Since I came off pill a year ago I have actually had only three AF!!! And I was pg in middle of all that. So the fact that I'm ovulating at cd 30 is a huge plus. Years ago I used to be a regular 28-32ish cycle. But I've always been on pill when I'm not ttc or pg.
How are you?
Oh and I should say when I got my AF in aug it lasted 14 days!! No joking. So nothing is normal.
Oh god!!!14 days, well either way then the is a good thing, atleast it's an indication of something, get to it tonight!!
I'm good, I've not done anything to track ov this month as I knew its be all over the place but kinda wish I had, I'm obviously hoping we still catch but if we don't I won't be too gutted as I always think the body probably does benifit from that second clear out and also will be going on holl's in oct which is all in so I will be able to drink!! I was of last time and it was anoying to miss out on lunch time sunny beers so I know I'll have a good month anyway
Hi all. For those who love to poas - like me - check out the website www.countdowntopregnancy.com. It shows you the likelihood, if you are positive, by testing at each day past ovulation and shows the stats of how other preg women fared. I started to obsess over my results as I tested every daypastovulation. Sorry I sound like a sales rep for the site... I'm really not!!
Meant to say below 'the likelihood of getting a BFp...'
Munchin woop to the face!! I'd feel the same actually as you know there's a real chance for the BFP if u DTD!!
Still no change here...CD40 tomorrow. Do you think I should go to the doctors? Not really sure what they can say though...
Ok kitty defo not pg as I couldn't help myself and poas and got bfn. So at least we know I am only gearing up to Ov. I can understand when you are this close to your hols that you'd like to properly enjoy them. I was like that during the summer
sorry did I say summer, what summer. are you going somewhere hot?
Hi Suzy great to know I have a poas buddy lol. Will check out the site on as I think Ov has passed. How are you doing?
Almond that is a real pain. I'm not sure docs can do anything though. Why don't you call the EPU that helped you with mc? They might be able to shed some light over the phone!?
Almond I know it's so frustrating. I got to cd 103 if that's any consolation. I know thought of that happening to you would drive you nuts. I suppose our bodies will just do their own thing. Are you taking any b vitamins? That might help. But also as lolcbcb says give your gp/epu a call , it might be good to talk to A medical professional.
Oh almond it sucks!! I wouldn't bother calling the docs or epu yet as I know they said to me your next period should come in 4-6 wks so I think at the moment they would just say that within the normal bracket but after another week maybe if no change? It gets really depressing when you know that as it gets later you have no chance of bfp if you stoped dtd at a certain point, it is possible you didn't ov this month as you didn't pick up a surge did you? What date did you carry on testing till? That or it was really late
Munchin sorry it was bfn but atleast you know it's ov and can gear up
Im cd 25 not sure of I've ovd yet, no real tell yet, one thing thats weird though is I still have quite sore boobs, I know you can get this after ov so maybe I have?sont normally have it though but no it's not because of bfp as had to do one a few days ago for the epu as the last the week before was still there although v v faint they asked for repeat and that was defo neg
Hi kitty. I've had sore boobs the last couple of days and sure I got my smiley yest. (btw dtd last night) so maybe you are ov now????? Did you do opk? Or else then either bfp or AF is on way. The symptoms for all three are to fecking similar!!
Hi munchin, no not done opk, leaving it this month but did dtd last night too, maybe we're synchronising lol !!
defo don't think af is on the way as it would be too early so maybe it is ov
Morning lovely ladies.
I've felt a bit of cramping on the left side today don't know if it could be ov related. On cd16 today and yesterday had a big blob of some very stretchy stuff!
So just had my first conceived plus enhanced shag and have to say it felt nice!
Now lying in bed...
Ps- cant believe I'm telling the world I have just had sex
So kitty we should be on the 2ww then in a couple of days.
Lolcbcb sure that's what mn is for sharing stuff that you wouldn't discuss in rl. Sounds like your definitely ov too. Another fellow 2ww!!!
That is very true munchin. Well I still have two shags planned. Then will try to ignore any
fake symptoms for a week!
Lol glad to hear that Conceive Plus was a 'success'
uhhum! I'm going to order some for when my WRF cycle is over (trying PMA)! Still no AF this end although I got hysterically excited this morning and punched the air when I thought I had a tiny bit of discolouration when I wiped but nothing has come over it yet...
Oh almond what a drag!! You could have had some of my earlier non stop af! All jokes aside I know what it's like when your getting in the 40s days it seems like an eternity!
Lol and munchin, yeay for us all entering the 2ww together, I have another shag planned possibly 2 aswell but that's it I reacon, done 4 eod so 2 more makes a 2 wk period covered so unless I get a definate different ov sign I'll be calling it a month and the 2 ww!! can't wait for ss
Yes I def recommend conceive plus. I used it on the sly and DH was surprised at how ready I was!
Still neg opk but having pain on left side which I'm hoping is linked to ov. So must continue shag..
Hey everyone, ok so I'm just starting the 2ww, well what I think is the 2ww as it's the first ovulation after mc. I was told I wouldn't get a period as such so should I just wait the 2 weeks and then POAS or would that show a positive anyway as it's only been a few weeks since mc?
at lol use on the sly ha ha
Panda were you not asked to take a test a few weeks later to make sure it was neg? You should still get a period 4-6 wks after mc
No I wasn't told to do that, do you think I should do one just now? My body quickly realised it wasn't pregnant iykwim, and all my pregnancy symptoms stopped straight away
Mine took 2 wks to go neg even the most recent that was when I was only 5 or so weeks pregnant, its up to you but I liked to know I'd definatly had a neg before testing or you wouldn't know for sure it was a new pregnancy or left over hormones! Plus you won't ov again until levels have returned to a certain point which is usually at the point you'd get a negative test, when was your mc?
The 15th August, so 3 weeks and 2 days ago. Would there still be much point as it's been over 3 weeks?
You could, it should definatly be neg by now but it doesn't really matter if the hospital were happy to discharge you anyway and your happy with where you are in the cycle etc
Mine was confirmed the 16th aug although started before then and I only did a test a few days ago as had a very faint line a week before so you were around the same time as me
I had very light bleeding on the Sunday night which got worse on the Monday, had a scan on Tuesday and they found a heartbeat and everything was fine, then passed the sac on Wednesday and it was confirmed on the Thursday with a scan. The nurse checked and said there was nothing left so no more intervention was needed and we could start ttc right away.
We must have both had it all confirmed on the same day then Kitty
I just read through my thread I started when the light bleeding started www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/a1539225-Bleeding-at-8-weeks, it was sad reading through it where I had the scan and thought everything was ok, then had to come back and update everyone that I'd mc.
Oh panda that's auful to get your hopes up etc, I actually had the worst bleeding on the Monday night but as I'd allready got an appointment for the scan on the thur left it till then, I had been bleeding all the way through but up until the Sunday my levels were still doubling as they were surposed to so it went wrong after that , do you think you've ovd yet?
I'm not sure tbh, I felt really... ahem... up for it last weekend which tied into dates if I counted bleeding as a period iyswim, so I'll just need to wait and see.
Oh panda that was awful for you. Having a fright with bleeding, scan reassured you and then lost baby next day. I know a friend mc naturally and exactly four weeks later got her AF. So it is possible for your cycle to regulate straight away.
It just shows you that a scan is really a snapshot of that particular moment in time and gives you no guarantees.
Hiya kitty & lol hope your dtd plans are on track lol. We dtd again last night but we were both so tired and it was a bit of a chore. We should really again tonight if following smep but geez I don't know !!!!!!
Hi almond any sign of AF today? Hope you are put out of your misery soon.
Hi Panda, I also had a scan where the baby looked ok, and they said the bleeding was prob normal. The midwife was so positive, that I completely ignored my bleeding getting worse and all of a sudden was looking at the sac. For me it seemed much more of a shock than if I'd had the scan I thought I was going to have, when I initially went in thinking it was over and it wasn't, if that makes sense - sorry, fuzzy head atm.
Hope you're OK now. It sounds positive that you're feeling up for it, it definitely sounds like your body is ready to move on.
Hello everyone else! Sorry I've not been on much, I've been reading but have had a stinking cold - I will get back with it v soon. Hope you're all alright. xx
Message withdrawn at poster's request.
Panda my MC was similar in that I had the best part of 3 weeks of 'it might be ok/it might not' as I had a clot next to the sac. I had 2 'gushes', not continuous bleeding which have me false hope but then my HCG dropped and it was all over quite quickly after that. Crapness!
Clatty sorry your here . they call this the WTF (what the f**k) cycle which I have learnt is v difficult to work out. My cycles are normally v regular but I'm on CD41 post mc and still not had AF! Have you had a ng pg test to confirm all the HCG is out of your system? Norm ovulation occurs after that (but in my case who knows). You could ovulate at any time so my advice would be to stick with the OPKs but be prepared and get some extras as I did 20 and ran out!
Posy hope ur ok, hate colds!
Almond sorry your still in limbo
Clatty, as almond says its difficult to work out a wtf cycle but if you've had a +ve test then yes very likely you've ovd, some people do as soon as 2 weeks after, it's only difficult to work out in the sense that the mc is not a period therefore counting cd1 is only a guess and it also depends how much hcg you have in your body and how quickly it goes, you will not ov til levels drop below 10, I think I am oving now/soon cd25! Last time after mc if was cd23 or slightly before and I was further along!
Message withdrawn at poster's request.
panda I just read your 8 week thread it was heartbreaking, so sorry.
clatty it sounds like you are just about to ovulate. Hope you are in the mood to dtd.
Am on cd24 and just got a bfn. Drats!
Is that not abit early Suzy? This is your first cycle after mc isn't it? It's usually atleast a few days to a week later!!
I have JUST got a opk cd 26!!! Sometimes my cycles are only that long!!
Yeah it's a bit early. It's 2nd cycle after mc and I'm back on track reg 29 day cycle. I turn 43 next month so feel like I'm running out of time. Sorry I'm moaning!
Don't feel bad that's what we're here for but have to warn you my second cycle after mc was worst then the first, I got af 32 days after mc then the second cycle although I fell pg again I didn't get my bfp til cd41, a super faint line 2 days before and my cycles were 27-32 days max before so it did out them out quite alot
Fx it's just too early
Kitty noooooo! I dont want a 2nd dodgy cycle!! I am still in limbo CD44 now and no sign still. Although I was a bit teary today but dont know if that was over tiredness as I have worked 7 days in a row...
Feel like I cant contribute much to the board at the moment. Wish I was poas stick, doing OPKs or just something other than waiting. Sigh...
Hope you have all enjoyed the lovely weather!
Almond have you tried any more hpt??
Did you get a +ve opk or did you give up trying in the end?
Kitty I did OPKs up to CD20 then ran out. I left it for about a week and have done them on and off. I really thought my AF was going to be here about CD30...I have done lots of pg tests but all negative. I dont know if I have ovulated or not to be honest. Bloody well hope so as dont fancy waiting much longer!
I think you must have ovd after cd20, it would explain lack of af, I got a +opk cd26 this month so af now due cd40! My cycles never used to go over 32 days. It really sucks though, last month I was wishing for it every day and it felt like every day took forever, it's that shit place where you think if im not pregnant I just want to start again
Hi Everyone - its been a quite a while since I've posted on here, and still need to go through and properly catch up on the thread. Hope everyone is okay!
Sorry Almond about lack of AF or BFP.. how frustrating. Hopefully you'll get one soon!!
Today is CD21 for me since MC and I finally got a smiley on my OPK this morning! So roughly a week later than normal. Quick question: We DTD last night, and will again this afternoon, but then parents are coming this evening for a week so don't know if we'll get the chance to again. Do you think that will be enough or should we really aim to do tonight and tomorrow too?
Hi Jessie yeay on the your only 2 days after me and lol so we can all obsess together, I only dtd the night before and the night after, to be honist if sperm can last up to 5-7 days I think your fine only doing it once over that time but maybe skip tonight and do it tomorrow if you can fit it in just incase it pops later? I think before ov tends to be more sucsessful then after from what I've read, think when said it was the most sucsessful 48 hrs before ov
P.s twice in one day is alot more then most of us ever do
Hiya ladies. Yeah to kitty and Jessie for ov. It's great seeing the smiley face. Well I got mine last week in morning time and only got to dtd that night and following night. So I'm hoping also that two dtd was enough!!! Fx!!!
Suzie I think as kitty said you tested too early. Any updates since ? I'm heading fast for 41 so I'm in same boat as yourself. Did you read an article written by presenter of one of morning programmes on daily mail. She had two kids and is 45 and would love another. She totally summed up how it feel.
Almond I feel your frustration. But at the risk of you throwing something at me you just have to relax and trust it will return but unfortunately in its own good time. Having said that I have no patience and you can imagine how strung out i was after 103 days!!!! Now on my second cycle since mc and I am on cd 35 but only consolation is I got smiley opk lady week so hopefully I'm on 2ww!!!
hi munchinmango --- 103 days must be a world record!
I too saw that article in the Daily Mail and although I'm not a fan of that newsreader I also completely understood. I think if my window for childbirth was set, like when you start and finish school or University - you know when it starts and end and you can close the door - then I would be less emotional. Instead the slow slipping away of fertility is very hard to manage emotionally. And I still feel young (and relatively cool)!
I'm on 14DPO and I can feel some cramping so fairly convinced it'll be AF in today or tomorrow. Damn, damn, damn. I'm in America on biz next ovulation so it'll be end October til I can try again. Gutted.
Hope everyone else is doing okay esp on their wtf cycles.
Sorry to hear that suzy .im due damned AF tomorrow 2nd cycle after mc but have had sore boibs last few days which on,y have come before when pregnant. However did two early responses yesterrdat and today- BFN. Really really disappointed even though we only Dtd once but when ov.
Oops boobs not boibs!lol
Really sorry to hear AF has arrived Suzy. Maybe hope for a late or early ov next month to get around your trip.
Sorry to hear about AF Suzy, and yes fx littlepink
Thanks ladies but trying to touch reality and accept that AF on her wicked way to me!
Remember little pink it only takes one time. Most of my pregnancies including my lovely daughter, was just one time.. so don't lose hope!
I know suzy ! Was hopeful with the sore boobs but then two bfn's. Awaiting the lovely visit from my AF tomorrow...
Hi all. Hope you all had chance to enjoy the nice weather. I've been away to the lovely New Forest which was just the break I needed. Didn't need to DTD whils't away
although we did manage it twice Day 23 and still no smiley! Not liking this WTF cycle!
Suzy sorry to hear of AF and will keep my fingers crossed for littlepink and the rest of you on the 2 week wait.
I will try and read back all of your posts 2mor.
I got my AF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally! Got to CD44 in end.
So...I'm back in the game! BFP due 23rd Oct!
Suzy sorry you got yours though
So happy for you almond. It is a huge relief to see AF. Lol. Sounds very weird saying your delighted to see it.
Glad you got a nice relax away babyjames.
Little pink any news?
How is everyone else doing?
Almond sorry that AF got you but happy you now know where you are.
I tested OPK this morning and got negative but tested again just and got a smiley. Goodness knows whats going on! I'm on cycle day 24 I think so ovulation maybe during next few days. * kittykat* possibly a 40+ day cycle too.
Hows things with you Munchin
That's great babyjames it's great to see the smiley. But I had always read that you should test twice a day incase you might miss the surge. So well done catching it. Don't worry about late ov, I was the very same and got my smiley last week around cd 30!!!! We only dtd that night and next so don't know if it was enough. So I guess we all know what you'll be doing tonight lol!!
No news yet munchin!
Not sure when to expect AF. 2nd cycle after mc. First AF came exactly 28 days after first serious bleeding from mc. Before that there were3 days of v light spotting . So who knows when she will show her wicked face. Convinced myself she will show up any day due to the 2 BFN a few days ago.
Onwards and upwards!
Good news for almond and babyjames
Where are all our September BFP's...?? Was everyone too busy watching the Olympics to get down to any sport in the bedroom?!
Almond sorry for af but glad its finally come and put you out of misery, I sometimes like the positivity of trying again!
Baby, aparently you are most likely to get the surge in the afternoon so that makes sence, mine was cd26 welcome to the 40 day cycle!! Atleast were both 2ww finally!
Suzy I have been convinced af is on her way after bfn but got a +ve later, it really isn't over till she rears her ugly head x
Advice needed please ladies. Think I have turned into a slight looney today. Been at home today and have tested O.P.K 4 times! 7.00am - , 11.30am + then I tested again at 3.00pm as I was excited and a negative again. I was gutted and have just tested again and negative. Very confused, upset and emotional. Think may have been a damaged one or something? This cycle really sucks. Really rubbish that we have all been through this
Sorry to moan on. Don't really know who else to talk to.
Baby, you are ment to hold wee for atleast a few hours they suggest 4 and not drink alot before, did you follow this?
It is possible to have a really quick surge and I have seen lots of threads where people ckain they only get it at a certain time, I remember one girl saying on the second wee of the day?!
Put the opk down now and back away, dtd tonight as though it's +ive or when you can and just take it like it is unless you get signs pain or EWCM a different time, it seems pretty plausible to me that it is, mine after mc have been cd23 and cd26
babyjames I did an opk test on a sunday morning and it was negative - did it in the afternoon and it was positive and then did it the next day in the morning and negative again.
One of the tricks is to actually pull out the stick and look at the second line - it should be the same color or darker than the 'base line' --- that will give you a good indication if you are ovulation... they should be a 'lead up' to this darker line over a few days. Go pack and check the actual lines on the tests that you've done over the last 24 hours and see if they tell you anything or if there's a pattern....
Hello everyone - I can't believe how much this thread has grown while I've been away. We had a brilliant time in Australia and for the first time since mc, I found that I wasn't thinking about getting pg again all the time.
I will read through everything I've missed later but hello to all the people who've joined this thread since I was last here - I am sorry that you have all had to experience mc.
I think af is due any day now but this is my 2nd cycle since mc so not sure if it is going to be funny. I did a superdrug test this morning (as I thought af might have been due yesterday) but it was -ve. As these tests are supposed to show pg up really early, I'm guessing that I wont be pg this month as I think it would have shown up by now.
FX that we get our BFPs soon.
Welcome back woody!! Hope you had a great trip, and fx for the bfp! Maybe you ov'd later than you though??
I've just entered the 2ww having received my smiley Monday morning. We DTD Sunday night, Monday afternoon and this morning so I really hope we caught something! Going to be a long 2 weeks but I'm keeping myself busy with house stuff
Congrats Almond on AF - yes it feels weird saying congrats for that.... but hey, now today is CD2! A fresh start! FX this is your cycle!
Baby James I think you have definitely got a +, and DTD tonight should cover it! Were you able to yesterday and/or the day before?
Welcome back woody, did you have an amazing time? What did you enjoy most
I'm pretty sure I ovd now as the last 2 days cm has dried up completely. 2ww but dpo 4 so only 10 days to go and maybe less if I can't resist poas , not too hopeful this cycle even though we did dtd eod I have a feeling I probably won't be lucky enough to fall pg every month
kittykat I know how you feel - I have fallen pregnant every month that DH and I have TTC. Once resulting in DD, and 2 times resulting in MC, and I feel like surely my luck must now be running out!
Trip was fantastic, thanks jessie and kittykat - favourite bits would have to be scuba diving on the barrier reef and going to Sydney Opera House. And cuddling a koala and seeing a duck-billed platypus.
I think I will try a different brand of test if af hasn't arrived by the weekend. I don't have any symptoms though, apart from slightly sore boobs on and off.
Jessie I hope your 2ww goes by quickly for you.
What is cm meant to be like before af arrives?
FX for you kittykat
Welcome back from hols woody, sounds like you had an amazing time and great you were able to forget about all things ttc and switch off.
Cm for me before AF is thick sticky and yellowish in color.
Looks like Jessie and kitty are both on the 2 ww and yous are our next hopefuls for Bfps's.
I'm afraid I'm now with almond and Suzy. AF arrived today cd 36 was suspicious yest as I had very sore boobs and some mild cramping. I am a little disappointed after getting smiley on opk last week and thought we had dtd at right time. But obviously really short luteal phase. On the positive it is cd 1 of a new cycle ( third after mc) my first cycle was 103 days and now this one 36 days so here's hoping I might get back to normal and that the wtf era is over????
sorry to hear AF arrived Munchin but you're right, its a new cycle and maybe this one will be the back to normal one. Do you think you'll use OPKs again?
Wow woody sounds like a great trip! The scuba diving must have been amazing! and lol I would LOVE to see a duck-billed platypus!
oh and woody to answer the cm question: I can't remember what its like before AF but just before I got my BFPs I remember it being similar to ewcm and quite a bit of it too.
Woody you may still have ovd late this cycle so test may be too early, I was convinced last month it must be neg as I used frer etc but eventually it did go + af arrival is really the oy thing to tell you your out, my second cycle after mc was longer then first!!
Sounds like you had a fab Holliday the barrier reef is amazing, did you snorkel there too as I thought you saw more s ork ing then diving, I was lucky enough to see a shark ( just reef) and a turtle!
