i am just about to go bald with all this stress, i currently have a 7 month old and havnt been trying for another but my periods are so irregular since the birth and i dont htink ive even had a proper one yet.. anyways! ive been feeling really tired lately, not myself, getting some sypmtoms of pregnancy, i have all together taken 13 tests in the past week! 3 of them which were 12.5ml sensitvity came up faint positives. others have come up negative, and some that have been left for half an hour have come up with a faint positive.. i had brown spotting about a week and half ago and have had a little bit more of that today, but not a lot.. could i be pregnant?? or am i just unlucky to have had so many evaporated lines and dud pregnancy tests?? any advice would be helpful to me thank you xxx

Hi mandy,

Please do not keep testing. It is unlikely that you are expecting particularly as you have irregular periods. If you look at a test after half an hour what you are looking at there is an evaporation line.

Bleeding between periods is not normal either, please get such bleeding checked out.
Its often not serious but it should be investigated further.

You need to find out why your periods are irregular, this can often be due to hormonal imbalances. Please get this checked out by your GP.

thankyou so much for that. ive never had a normal period since my duaghters birth. i had a section adn bled for a good 9, 10 weeks after, and since then i havnt had a period start up, i had her 7 months ago, i know i should stop testing, but i cant help it. is there a definate difference between evap lines and faint positives? one of the tests i took said you could read the result within half an hour(predictor test) and those are the ones that came up faint poisitives within about 10 15 mins. they test at 12.5ml of pregnancy hormone xx
