What does ovulation pain feel like?

I don't think I've ever experienced it, or at the very least have ever noticed it.
I should be ovulating any day now and am really trying to listen to my body, but need some pointers!

Apparently, you can feel it at either side, how far to the left/right is the pain?

I'm just needing to distinguish OV pain from normal daily sensations & twinges.

Hi. I am no expert but i have been having what i think is ovulation pain all morning. I got it the same last month. To me it feels very much like period pain.

Some women don't feel it. Some feel it differently to others.

I get a low down bruised/throbbing/bloated feeling on one side, sort of towards the crease of my legs. What is most uncomfortable is a horrid poker up bottom, constipated feeling that accompanies it. I always get a headache too.

If you know when you ovulate, note down sensations for a couple of months and see if anything specific happens.

Mine varies from cramps like a period pain to nothing.

However, this month I had really bad pains and was just thinking that maybe I should nip to A&E to find out if I was dying (not literally ) when I googled severe ovulation pains and found that many women have them on the occasional month.

It was like a really strong stabbing pain on my left side ( it literally took my breath away). Apparently some ladies do think that they hve appendicitis - cos the pain is so severe. I have to say though that they did stop after about 3 hours - so i knew then that it was ovulation and nothing serious.

Must point out that I had a MC a couple of months ago and have read that ovulation hurts more directly after a MC (not sure why), and would have to agree with this. The first month I had really bad cramps and a slight bleed and thought it was a mini period and that turned out to be ovulation as well (according to my charts).

Are you keeping a note of your temperature or cervical mucus?, they are good ways of knowing when you're ovulating as well.

I have this most months - it's like a dull ache for me in the area just to the inside of where I can feel my pelvic bone. Sometimes it can be really uncomfortable and is accompanied by nasty irritable bowel. Ironically, on the first month of ttc#2 I didn't get it!

Thanks guys!

This is my first month charting too, so I'll see if it all ties up!
