afternoon ladies- we have our first fertility appointment on 6-May. after stalking the 'choose and book' for a few weeks, we managed to get a 6:45pm appointment which is great new for our work.

anyways - we have been TTC for 8 months (since 1-Sep-09). since it hasn't been a full year - what should we expect for this appointment? will they just take one look at 8 months, and send us on our way? or will they 'put' us in the system so that we can start further investigations if/when we hit the 1 year mark?

also - my DH's SA is schedule for 16-May. Should we reschedule the fertility appointment until after the results are in?

I think there are lots of factors which will affect what happens next.

For example, is this a private appointment? Does your age or medical background mean that you might need to get things moving quickly? Has your GP done any tests on you already?

Is the SA being done by the clinic where your appt is? If not, they may decide to do an additional SA as a standard part of their process for their own records.

evening- no this is an NHS appointment. we're both 30, and besides my under control hypothyroidism, no underlying conditions.

our GP has done hormone tests on me, all fine, and STD on me, all fine.

the SA is being done via this NHS clinic.

cheers
