Hi,

Was told by my synographer (who was checking on my PCOS) that I have a tipped/retroverted uterus that goes backwards.

I've just googled it today & there doesn't seem to be any problems concieving. Does anyone else have this?

I do have PCOS which could be the cause of it and symptoms I def have is heavy painful periods but this has been more noticeable since taking Clomid rather than a result of a tipped uterus.

Any help/stories would be welcome

xx

I have this. The sonographer told me when she scanned me whilst pg with DD.

She said it doesn't cause any problems, she just had to scan me really low down .

Didn't have any problems conceiving.

I have it too. Quite a few of us on here with it.

They always delve around with their hands inside virtually up to their elbow when they do a smear, like the vets in All Creatures Great & Small

I really wish this myth would Go Away - a retroverted uterus is a normal variant and does not cause problems with conception. As the pregnancy grows and the uterus rises out of the pelvis it just straightens itself out. It really makes no difference.

PCOS otoh can of course cause problems with conception and all the period problems you describe

Good luck!

Yeah i know all my trouble is PCOS related. Just wanted to double check as she did say that it wasn't a bad thing I had it!

I have it too. The only problem it has caused me is the sonographer having to press hard during ultrasounds and me needing a wee.

Good luck
