Have you ever imagined/convinced yourself you are pregnant?

I am doing this right now. Realistically I know I probably can't be pregnant (we had unplanned, unprotected sex 2/3 days after my period ended, so too early in cycle I think?)

My next peiod isn't even due for another 10 days, but I've been getting up to wee during the night and I only do this when pregnant. I've also been dog tired for the last week ie. going to bed at 7pm and falling asleep in the afternoon too. I can only compare this to early pregnancy.

But, I know I most probably can't be pregnant, and if I was, symptoms wouldn't appear already.

So how have I managed to convince my body I am pregnant?

To answer your question, yes I have spent weeks panicking at times when I had no reason to- had not had unprotected sex but imagined symptoms and had convinced myself contraception had failed. There are enough stories on here to terrify you.

This was all after an unplanned pregnancy. It is possible you could be prgnant in the timescale you mention- I was!

Hmm, well I would love another baby, but I'm not sure that now would be a fantastic time for one... That said, when is there ever a right time for another baby? Perhaps I am imagining this so that the decision would be taken out of my hands.

Still, won't know either way for almost a fortnight so best not dwell on it!

Hey guys, I am in same boat, ok, last time we had unprotected sex was Jan 29th, so 10 days ago, got what I thot was AF on sat night, it stopped, was due Af today and woke u to...TMI alert!...dark red blood, like old kinda, so assumed ths was AF, ths has stopped again, have had implantation bleeding on day AF was due before, I have 2 kids and have mc'd sadly 3 times, thot earlier v. faint line on test, early one's off internet, dunno if I am or not, would it show yet??? We are trying btw

Oh and what made me think I was preg ths month is my boobs are agony, not usually sore before AF, cramping strted earlier than normal, feel sick etc, but maybe kidding myself

I totally convinced myself I was pg when I had a mirena in, which is supposed to be more reliable than sterilisation.

So for weeks weeks I was being sick and was tired and boobs hurt and I was sure I was pg but too to say to anyone as I couldn't be.

Bu the time I found out I was 11-12 weeks

I am in the exact same boat - period due on 18th too.

I do want another baby, but dh not quite so keen. It wouldn't be ideal timing due to lack of money and space.

We have been risking it relying on withdrawal () this month.

I am feeling a bit tired and bleurgh but I suppose it would be too early even feel pregnant. I suppose only time will tell...

Its amazing now - she's 6!

At the time it was a major problem - I have nasty kidney probs in pg and had been heavily warned not to get pg again - I counted it up and spent 3 of the months I knew I was pg in hospital and was in 17 times in 18 months, flown (exciting!) on an air ambulance to a majot hospital to give birth, had severe PND, etc etc etc ....... DH had the snip when I was 7 months pg and noone batted an eyelid (tis normally a huge nono in case something awful goes wrong!).

However, I would not be without her, I would go through it all again and more in order to have her, she's a very special little girl

My wee boy Jack has a rare genetic disorder so can't walk, talk, sit up, and has severe epilepsy, has seizures everyday, so bn terrible, my wee girl is 8 nw

Me - right now! Just had Mirena removed as plan to start TTC soon. Had BD about two days after what I thought was period on removal of Mirena, about two days after that started getting symptoms of pg - esp nausea, fatigue and my boobs are killing me. Did test yesterday and thought v faint line, but then started spotting today...and then stopped again. I think it must be withdrawal from Mirena but very confusing.

Would be fine if I were, although a bit of a shocker as we weren't supposed to be trying for another couple of months yet.

If I don't get proper AF will test again in a few days.

Wee update...got AF proper or what I thought was properly last night after I came off here.. but this morning practically nothing, doing my head in, must be AF tho, tests BFN XX

Weird lunaticfringe isn't it? I have had my period start , well what I thought was my period, then stop, then 2 days later strt properly, but today again, for 3rd time it has stopped again!!!!!!!! Sooo annoying, but know it is coming...really sore, and test BFN xx

Hiya - update from me. AF started properly yesterday. My boobs have never been so sore before AF but now that and sickness starting to settle. Still dog tired, but I work and have a toddler so that would probably be why. I blame the Mirena - apparently pg-type symptoms not uncommon either on it or just after removal.

Hi wholelottalove, I had my mirena out on the 6 jan and also had some wierd spotting followed by feeling sick, crampy and genrally pregnant until my af stared and then felt way better. I think it's your body sortng it self out after not having a proper cycle for ages.

Anyways, I convice myself I'm pregnant all the time even when I couldn't possibly be so now that I'm actually trying I'm assuming that all symptoms are a result of an over active imagination until proved otherwise. Or at least I'm trying...not really working though I have to admit. My bbs are killing me this months which is rather hard to ignore but I still have almost a week till af due
