How many women do actually experience "implantation bleeding"?

I have only had this once with my third pregnancy and it was a week before AF was due and prompted me to think I was pregnant.

Hi Allthe8s - when did you get implantation bleeding in relation to your AF date please? Sorry for tmi but was it as is usually described on the internet as either brownish or pink? I was due yesterday (again tmi sorry) and after going for a pee the tissue was a faint pink (no clots or anything). Just now I have spotting so it could be AF but it is not my usual AF scenario. I usually have the brownish stuff and then AF or go straight into full AF. I think AF is coming but am just questioning this spotting. I could not have ovulated and it could be an anovulation period? Not sure what that looks like either, if it is also different to AF. Anyway, any help is much appreciate. Thank you

I had some spotting on D18 but have heard that it can vary quite a bit. Fingers crossed.

MyMyFruityPie looking back at my diary implantation bleed was 12 days after BD, (so around 10 days after conception) and 5 days before AF was due (so day 23). It was just pinky/red spotting a very small amount. I have always been very lucky to have periods that you could set your watch by so I knew immediately what it was. Everyone is different and each pregnancy is different, do you think its AF?

Hi Allthe8s Unfortunately I do think that it is AF. I have a light flow, it is still not the usual heavy AF I normally experience on day 1/2. I am usually 33 days but was 43 last month due to travelling (it always sends me a bit out of whack) but spotting started right on day 33 even though it was pink. Oh well......a large glass of red for me tonight! Thank you for your post. x

I did with both pregnancies. None of my friends or family have had implantation bleeds.

Mine was just like a regular period so much so that I didn't realise I'd had an implantation bleed until I went for my 20 week scan and was told I was actually 24 weeks!

Oh well. Fingers crossed for next month ladies!

Oh.....if only Mariesthename sigh Still on AF but it has been lighter than usual and (sorry for tmi) it is more blood than periody stuff if you know what I mean.
