Hi everyone, I have not been on here for a LONG time. I needed a little time away to get my head around the fact that TTC was proving so much more difficult then ever imagined.

DP has now had 2 very very low sperm results back, we have an app with the neurologist a week on monday. I think he may go down the IVF route for us.

Does anyone have experience of either low sperm count or what to expect at this meeting

xx

Hi NewMember, I remember you from the 'bus' threads and was worried when you disappeared. I'm not pg yet and haven't been around for a few months either. We're far too deep in denial to go for any tests and my cycle number seems to be 'stuck' at 6 just like i've been 26 for 5 years now

I don't have any IVF advice but just wanted to say that the fact you've got this far is really positive and that I wish you all the very best for a BFP

Hopefully someone a bit more useful clued up than me will be along soon with some helpful advice!

Tea x

PS Stick around for some girly support and to let us know how you get on... in my book the more people you have rooting for you the better

Hi Tea, yea i remember you too from the bus section. Sorry to hear your still waiting 2 - it just gets so difficult. DP and I got engaged and are getting married in Nov so I am hoping that will ease the stress of TTC. I reckon if they put us on the IVF waiting list we will need to wait about 18 months, so I am better keeping busy until then x

Hi new member - our one and only child was conceived thanks to IVF (we got lucky on attempt number one and had two unsuccessful frozen embryo attempts later). We spent a year TTC then a further year having all sorts of unpleasant tests, then were advised we would need IVF if we were to have any hope of conceiving (DD is now almost four years old and thriving). We also had a very low sperm count problem.
The process is not too bad - a lot of injections and a general feeling like you're going nuts (because basically they make you menopausal before turning the hormones on again full blast), but you can get through it. And as long as it's low sperm rather than no sperm, there's definite hope.
Good luck!

Thank you korky I appreciate your post. Can you tell my what to expect after our meeting with the neurologist. What sort of tests will occur?

Sorry for all the questions just trying to gain a new idea before i go with DP!
