My DS has just turned 1 and I'm getting SO broody. But it seems too early to go back through all the stages I've only just emerged from! I've been back at work for 4 months now (part-time) and I'm loving being back in an adult environment too and the break from home duties.

But I loved being pregnant and am so ready to do it again. I also just love being a mummy! Realistically, I know this time round will be much tougher as I have a very active little one who's on the verge of walking. I also had SPD when I was pregnant, which I know next time round will be much harder to manage.

Is it silly to go for it again so soon? DH says it's totally up to me as he'd love another baby. Get excited just at the thought...any advice out there from those who know??

Well we've got 2 1/2 years between our 2 and it seems to be working out well.

Hi. I could have wrote your post myself! My DD turned 1 on the 5th and we are now on the first month of TTC No.2. We thought we would go for it.

I went back to work at the end of Nov and love to be with people who have conversations. However, i wouldn't want to wait too long before the next one and then have to go back to looking after a newborn.

I think having a second is like having a first, there will never be exactley the right time, you will never have "enough" money and you will never be ready for the impact they will have on your life!

Not sure there is ever a good time... as my first turned one I got really broody and so did my husband. We started trying the next month and were lucky to conceive. So they are 21 months apart. Was harder during the second pregnancy running around after little one but you cope and just go to bed earlier! I too had SPD during my first pregnancy - ended up on crutches from 32 weeks. Was seeing a physio from 16 weeks. But was fine second time. Wore belt all the time. Made sure I didn't overdo it etc. You'll be fine!
Littlest one now 14 months...time for number 3?

Thanks for your responses. I'm especially pleased to hear that SPD is not necessarily going to be worse in a second pregnancy. I guess you can prepare for it.

Did anyone find they had a hostile reaction from work, announcing a pregnancy soon after returning from maternity leave?
