Hi there,

I hope you don't mind me emailing my experience as I've not had any health issues and fell pregnant quickly but I really felt it helped me and I have a friend who has PCOS and very rarely gets periods (but does ovulate though she doesn't know how often) and she swears it helped her.

I'm 34 and came off the Pill (Dianette) mid Oct after a few years on. We started TTC straight away but when we realised I hadn't fallen pregnant I went to see an accupuncturist to help bring on my period as I had heard that the Pill can make you completely irregular. I am impatient so went to see her on Day 33 (after doing a pregnancy test to check). Two days later my period came, it lasted five days. I then went back to see her about day 10 and then again day 13 (when she thought if my cycle was regular I would be about to ovulate). That time she clipped little electrodes on to the needles to stimulate the ovaries/egg production. I got ovulation pain 24 hours later (we also BD'ed several times the few days before and twice that day - it was a bit like boot camp) and I fell pregnant. We could just be lucky but I think accupuncture really did help. Best of luck to you.

I am having accupncture on Fri as my periods have not returned 7 weeks after ERPC for MMC in Nov. The doc put 6 needles around uterus area and after a few mins, I felt pain in my ovaries. I will continue my sessions.

I've had 2 sessions of acupuncture now to encourage ovulation and to prepare a good uterine lining, will let you know if there's a positive outcome!
