TTC after Lletz, how long to wait?

Hello, I had Lletz treatment yesterday for CIN 3, they removed a large area, the whole area surrounding the centre of the cervix to a depth of 6mm, only the edges looked completely normal. This is following borderline smear in feb, colposcopy and 2 biopsies showing CIN1 in March, colposcopy in Sept looked normal so went home celebrated and started taking folic acid, then had results of smear showing CIN3 and needed the treatment, so I was oviously very upset. What I'm not sure about is how long to wait before TTC. I asked colposcopist before treatment and she said after 6wks, mentioned this during treament and she said that would only be superficial healing by 6wks and should wait longer - I guess she backtracked due to the large area they've had to remove. I said how about waiting until spring, and consultant said no point in planning expected due dates at my age (almost 34) as will probably take 12-24mths to conceive anyway. That wasn't really what I was asking! I want to make sure that my cervix is fully healed before TTC as cervix is pretty important in pregnancy, and I understand in a small number of cases Lletz can cause babies to be born smaller and slightly pre-term, dd was only 6lb and born at 39 weeks so I am a bit concerned about this anyway. Equally I don't want to wait too long because of my age. Anyone got any experience of this or can offer me any advice? Can't wait to start TTC, but I'm trying to be positive and enjoy lots of blue cheese/brie and wine while I can!
