Hey Ladies,

Nice new, clean, and shiny thread!!! grin

Good luck to everyone on here, lets hope we ALL get our BFPs soon.

KayloSpellmaker Thu 29-Oct-09 22:44:49

Ooooh, thanks Seany

Nice shiny and lucky new thread

katiecubs Fri 30-Oct-09 09:26:47

sparechange Fri 30-Oct-09 10:43:01

Hello lovely ladies
Can I join in?
I'm flitting between this and the first-timers thread
And it was my 28th birthday a couple of weeks ago and I'm realising my opportunities to call myself a 20-something are fast running out, so I'm making the most of them!
Wishing lots of luck to everyone

AntdamnUallToHell Fri 30-Oct-09 11:12:52

Welcome Katiecubs and sparechange

Hope this Brand spanking new thread brings you the luck you need.

I still have nothing to report -my last 'real' period was on the 26th September - followed by a three day light visit 2weeks later. So, I think they are just playing up again (just my luck) - Will wait til about 10th November to test if there hasn't been a visit.

Like, I said I am not getting my hopes up

whittywantababy6 Fri 30-Oct-09 12:31:32

Hey ladies....remember me...lol....took a break...not ttc at the moment...but I missed you guys....I see alot has happend while I was on my break...not sure when Im going to try again but hopefully soon Im shooting for december might get lucky on my birthday lol...did the calculation already and I will be ovulating lol wink but I hope all is well

jumblequeen Fri 30-Oct-09 12:47:06

Phew! This is much more easy to digest. Glad to be back on board the twenty-something bus... smile

In the two week waiting period... AF due on the 14th of November. Anyone want to be cycle buddies??

jumblequeen Fri 30-Oct-09 12:47:51

Oops! I mean the 9th... It's come around sooner than I thought grin

AntdamnUallToHell Fri 30-Oct-09 17:33:12

Hey Whitty!!!

Hope you are doing well. What a nice birthday treat for you grin

Jumble - I am going to be testing around the 10th of november if I haven't had a visit, so I'll join you if I can.

jumblequeen Sat 31-Oct-09 10:35:14

AntdamnUallToHell - yes, definitely.... Getting impatient already. I almost reached for a test today simply because I want to be pg so much... silly, I know!

When will everyone else be testing?

KayloSpellmaker Sat 31-Oct-09 12:43:03

Whitty.....HI!!!

Hope you're ok chick!!! Was wondering where you'd gone. smile

And I hope everyone else is well - nothing at all to report from me...too early to 'BD.

xxx

AntdamnUallToHell Sat 31-Oct-09 15:02:21

Jumblequeen - that is precisely why I have no tests in the house - no temptation!! smile

I am still unsure as to what is going on with me - The only symptom I have (although I am NOT symptom spotting) is I have been more hungry than usual. For instance, once a fortnight DP and I get an Indian takeaway, usually I can only manage half a meal - the rest goes in the fridge and I eat it the following day for my lunch blush But last night I managed the whole thing - which DP noticed.

Though it could just be that I am being a greedy bugger grin

jumblequeen Sun 01-Nov-09 11:46:52

AntdamnUallToHell - you're totally right. I've hidden mine now... at least I'm not tempted every time I brush my teeth! smile

I'm definitely not symptom spotting this time around... this is my second cycle and I've learnt from my first experience that doing so and then being greeted by a visit from AF can only lead to disappointment sad. Much better to focus on eating well and sleeping well and doing all the things your body would want you to do if you were pregnant.

mazza999 Sun 01-Nov-09 12:51:15

Hi I'm new to Mum's net. I just wondered if anyone has experience/advice for my issue.
I'm 26 and was on microgynon 30 for 9 years. I came off the pill in the middle of June 2009 and we starting trying to conceive at the beginning of August 2009. My first period after the pill was 26 days so average. Since then my cycle has gone 34 days (July),32 days(August),36 days (September) and so far this month I'm on day 37 - did a pregnancy test this morning and it came back negative!! I'm trying to be patient but each month I feel more and more deflated.

Please help.
Thanks

jumblequeen Sun 01-Nov-09 13:00:33

mazza999 - hello and welcome...

I can't offer any concrete advice but can say this: I am the same age as you and was on microgynon for about the same length of time... my periods (and cycle) have returned to normal after two months. Perhaps it's worth getting checked out by your doctor just for peace of mind if nothing else? Try not to beat yourself up too much - after being on the pill for any length of time your body is bound to take a while to readjust, and everyone is different smile

Hello everyone grin

welcome newbies!! good luck to you all!!

Whitty im glad you're back!

Ant i hope for your sake af does not start playing up again-it's strange about the hunger thing+your 3 day af visit...would you not do a teeny weeny test and put your mind at ease?

Well i had my hospital appointment on friday and it went brilliantly grin(I had been referred cause wasnt ov,and have been ttc for 18mths)
Lo and behold when the doc did internal scan there was a lovely big egg in my left ovary almost ready to burst out!!!!

The doc said it is prob due to the weight i have lost recently and told me to get bding!! grin grin (Joined weightwatchers 5 weeks ago and have lost 16lb)

He also gave me a prescription for 50mg of clomid which i have to start if i dont conceive this month, but he said hopefully i wont need it.

And just to add that everything else was normal, and i feel like a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders,so needless to say i am very pleased with the outcome.

Did everyone have a nice halloween?

AntdamnUallToHell Mon 02-Nov-09 00:41:12

Hey Ladies,

Seany - I am so glad that everything went so well for you at the docs grin You sound very very positive!!
Well done on the weight loss, that is really great. I hope you don't need the clomid either wink

I have no tests in the house (to stave off temptation) and won't be going into town til Wednesday, so will have to wait til then.

I know I am gonna feel quite daft when AF shows up and it turns out that I am just a greedy git blush Will just have to wait and see.

DP went to Derry for Halloween, hada brill time. I stayed home with DS and handed out sweets to the kids, it was fun.

Hey Ant,

Thank you grin,I must admit i am feeling quite positive.

Don't be embarrassed we all have a pig out day from time to time wink

I've heard h'ween in derry is meant to be great-was dp very hungover yesterday? grin

AntdamnUallToHell Mon 02-Nov-09 13:26:10

Thankfully he wasn't too bad. He stops himself getting too drunk and starts drinking water. He is good that way. Can't say the same for his brother, who was with him......smile

Am feeling a bit funny today......

Be back later, need to go pick up DS

ant how are you feeling today???

How are the rest of you lovely ladies doing?

sparechange Tue 03-Nov-09 11:53:21

Hello ladies
I had a BFN at the weekend sad
To be honest, I wasn't expecting it to be anything different, but it was our wedding anniversary and we were going out of a nice meal, so I tested to be on the safe side before I got carried away with champagne!
I'm still about down in the dumps about it - silly isn't it

Any one have any news?

AntdamnUallToHell Tue 03-Nov-09 12:07:51

Aww Sparechange sad
Were you late? Or were you testing just in case?

I have no news to report, still feel funny - just a bit off - cant explain it.

Nearly bought a test today, but managed to restrain myself.

But am going to buy one tomorrow if I get a chance. But will definitely NOT be testing til the 10th if I am still waiting.

How is everyone else????

Seany?
Kaylo?
Jumble?

jumblequeen Tue 03-Nov-09 15:21:34

Hello girls,

Well I'm now 7 DPO and pretty much climbing the walls. A bit of cramping, a bit of back-ache.. the usual suspects when AF is on her way but I'm hoping that it's those somewhat misguided pg symptoms instead! AF due monday. Our bodies have a cruel way of tricking us, don't they? wink

jumblequeen Tue 03-Nov-09 15:23:35

P.s. What a lovely thread this is! everyone is so supportive. I'm hoping it'll bring good luck for everyone...

Hi everyone!

Sorry to hear of the bfn sparechange-i know how disappointing it is up try to keep your chin up.

Ant im good thanks smile. Is af due on the 10th?

Hows everyone else?

AntdamnUallToHell Wed 04-Nov-09 14:26:10

Hey ladies,

Hows the weather where you are?? It is pissing buckets here sad DS really wants to go play on the trampoline - I said he could if he got his wellies on and his waterproofs grin

I am feeling normal again sad I was feeling a little 'off' the past couple of days, but it seems to have passed. I have bought 2 hpts today (cheapy strip ones that cost me 2euro). I was tempted to try one, but I restrained myself - not quite ready for the BFN yet.

I reckon AF will appear on the 10th or thereabouts. She really should have been here on 26th (ish)but i think the 'funny' period I had has messed things up. will just have to wait.

Seany - glad to hear you are doing well smile Where in your cycle are you?

Should we do a list??

AntdamnUallToHell Wed 04-Nov-09 21:16:28

Just wanted to give it a friendly bumpsmile

jumblequeen Thu 05-Nov-09 08:35:00

Morning,

Pretty grotty in London today... I'm enjoying being cosy at home but alas, work does tend to impose!

AntdamnUallToHell - I really recommend holding your nerve for as long as you can... I did a test yesterday (BFN) and it got me down a bit. Still no sign of AF though (I'm due monday) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

A list is a good idea - I was thinking that myself. Here are my stats to kick things off:

jumblequeen TTC#1 Cycle 2 UCL26 CD21

smile

AntdamnUallToHell Thu 05-Nov-09 10:22:14

Hey Ladies,

Jumblequeen - I can't believe you tested!!! You were supposed to be holding out. Show some restraint woman! wink

I have not caved yet. I am definitely holding out til the 10th. I have hidden the tests - out of sight, out of mind. I hope smile

This morning I was dizzy when I woke up, DP reckons it's because I am hungry. He said my stomach was runbling during sleep shock I really am a greedy bugger.

Jumblequeen TTC#1 Cycle 2 UCL26 CD21
Antdamm TTC#2 Cycle 12 UCL32ish CD41??

jumblequeen Thu 05-Nov-09 10:48:14

AntdamnUallToHell - I know, i know... I have no self restraint at all!

I can't believe your tummy was rumbling in your sleep! Let's hope it's because you're feeding something smile

Nothing much else to report apart from a sore back and a sort of funny cramping quite low down my stomach... never had that before. It's probably just the mother of all AFs though. Bah!

Antdamm Thu 05-Nov-09 12:07:10

Hey Jumble,

Funny cramping ? Sounds interesting smile You never know.

You MUST refrain from testing again til Monday!!! Ok?? grin

I am not feeling anything today sad
I think I feel completely normal. I think I would like to feel symptoms of something - even if it just the start of another period.

jumblequeen Thu 05-Nov-09 13:19:08

Okay! It's for my own good, I know grin

I think I've been thinking about it all too much... I don't want to add inventing "sypmtoms" to the madness so I'm going to try to ignore anything/everything until I know either way.

Chin up about not feeling anything - I keep reminding myself that everyone is different smile. When are you planning to test?

katiecubs Thu 05-Nov-09 14:07:44

Jumblequeen - I'm planning to test on the 10th. I didn't have any symptoms when PG with DS, just a missed period smile

Sparechange - I had an August baby grin Some people would rather not have one in August because of problems with school. But, personally I wouldn't mind another August baby But that is just me. Maybe a small break will do you good??

thanks Ant,
DH thinks I'm mad to even take it into consideration, but I have a friend who is a primary school teacher who mentioned in passing years ago that she wouldn't want a summer baby and it has always stuck in my mind... Silly how I get hung up on things!!

It is more not wanting to abstain from all the work christmas things in case my boss twigs. There are only so many 'antibiotics' that I can be on in one month grin

gembay Thu 05-Nov-09 15:08:53

Hi everyone - can I join in please? Im fairly new to mumsnet and have never joined a thread like this before but everyone always seems so supportive! Am just hoping it wont increase my obsessing too much...

I'm 26 and came off the pill in May - havn't really been 'trying' - more just seeing what happens.. which unfortunatly is not a lot!

Im in a very similar position to Mazza999 as my periods are also slightly irregular - I always have one each month but they always vary between 29 - 36 days. Im not sure if this is something I should be worried about and could be why it seems to be taking a while to conceive? any advice?

Can I be nosy and ask how old everyone is here, and when you decided to TTC?

sparechange Thu 05-Nov-09 15:35:31

Hi gem, welcome!
It is a bit weird doing the first post, isn't it...
I'm (just) 28 and we've been sort of trying since July. We've taken it a bit more seriously in the last couple of months...

I'd previously been on the pill for about 9 years straight, so wanted to give my bits a chance to remember how to work before we started making more of an effort.

Still haven't gone down the temping/fertility test route, but I am taking folic acid grin

KayloFireworks Thu 05-Nov-09 16:09:06

Hi Ladies, sorry not been around much lately - MN and TTC been very intense lately - some worry about another mc if I get pregnant again, the usual concerns really but it got a bit much and had to step away a bit. Am trying to lurk around still but am not posting as obsessively as before.

But I'll happily add myself to your stats

Antdamm TTC#2 Cycle 12 UCL32ish CD41??
Seanybosmummy TTC#2 Cycle 18 UCL 29-31 CD22

And have updated in date order - so we know who's gonna be testing next....wink

xxxx

jumblequeen Thu 05-Nov-09 16:20:37

Welcome newbies! grin

Speaking as an august baby myself (ahem!) I would say that it's an excellent time to have a child... If nothing else, I felt that I was almost a year younger than some of the other kids in my year so if I didn't win the sack race, I could console myself with "being too little".

KayloFireworks - don't be a stranger! I think this is one of the nicest threads that I'm a part of on MN... stay with this one, if nothing else! I suppose it's easy to say 'try not to worry' but easier said than done. As long as you're looking after yourself then I'm sure you'll be fine smile
Love the idea of the 'ordered' list too... I'll be getting excited when (if) my name comes to the top...

sparechange - It seems that a lot of us are in the same boat with the pill... does anyone know how long it takes your body to readjust?

Sorry everyone iposted same time as 2 others earlier and missed you out when i added myself to the list, didnt do it intentionally blush

Welcome newbies and good luck.

jumblequeen Thu 05-Nov-09 22:09:19

gembay - I'm 26 and this is my (our!) second month of trying. It sounds daft, but I feel like my body has been waiting for me to be a mum for a little while now... smile

As for your AF, I can only say that I would imagine it takes your body a while to readjust - I seem to have been unusually lucky in this sense (on the other hand, when I came off the pill for a couple of months a few years ago I had a three week long AF!)

A relaxed attitude is a good thing to have though - I'm sure being stressed out can't help your fertility. Best Of Luck!

Antdamm Fri 06-Nov-09 09:22:05

Hey Ladies,

Welcome Gembay!!

Hi Kaylo - Nice to see you! Hope you are keeping well. Maybe, silent lurking is the way to go just now until you feel to obsess again wink I like your organisation of the list, but I am not testing til the 10th.

I lost my internet connection when trying to post on here yesterdayangry and didn't get it back til about midnight (by which time I was peacefully sleeping) So annoying.

I am really sleepy this morning, set our alarm for half seven. Alarm went off, I turned it off and went back to sleepblush and didn't get up til 8:45. So, we have just ahd a mad dash around the house. Getting DS dressed, fed and his lunchbox made up. DP was running around like a madman - he has to drop car off at garage to get exhaust fixed - ooops. Silly me.

I am going to update the list for today - apologies for any mistakes.

Antdamn, Seanbosmummy, Kaylo - just realised you are experienced in all of this madness! Glad to see that we have someone with an idea of what they're doing steering this ship for us wink

Antdamm Fri 06-Nov-09 12:20:53

hahahhahahahahahaha - You think we have any idea what we are doing??

Are you mad woman!!!?
grin grin

jumblequeen Fri 06-Nov-09 12:23:07

Listen lady, I need to hold on to that idea otherwise I'll be back on the pill before you can say "sleepless nights"! wink

Antdamm Fri 06-Nov-09 12:42:30

grin

Of course, I am only pulling your leg. We know everything about this TTC lark. And we know exactly what we are doing wink

Reassured now? smile

jumblequeen Fri 06-Nov-09 12:48:22

Yes. [breathes a sigh of relief emoticon]

Phew! grin

Antdamm Fri 06-Nov-09 13:19:37

How are you feeling today? Any mad symptoms?

Its monday you test isn't it? I think I will be testing on Tuesday. You could always hold out an extra day and test with me on Tuesday wink If you wanted lol.

I know theres not a chance in hell you could bear to do that. smile

I am quite nervous about doing a test. I nearly caved and did one about an hour ago, just to see, but decided against it.

I don't want a BFN sad

jumblequeen Fri 06-Nov-09 13:51:32

Me either sad - I'm not sure I could handle it. I've had an awful week at work and it would be the last thing I needed...
Monday will be 14 DPO and when AF should be due for me. Fingers, toes, arms, legs, eyes crossed! I don't blame you for nearly caving - I did! blush
If I can hold out until tuesday (as long as AF is a no-show) I might just wait. I've heard that some women don't get a BFP until waaaaay after AF should have arrived anyway.

We'll see....

Antdamm Fri 06-Nov-09 14:02:37

Well, I am really tempted to test now. have been holding a pee in for about 5hours blush

Don't know whether to test now and put me out of my misery or just go and pee!!

jumblequeen Fri 06-Nov-09 14:13:04

Oh goodness! Well they say that you should wait a new hours for the pee to be at the correct "strength" so you've definitely done that wink

I don't know whether to egg you on (excuse the pun) or tell you to hold your nerve!

Antdamm Fri 06-Nov-09 14:26:02

I know if I cave and its a BFN then it will still be a BFN on Tuesday. So, i'm stuck.

Maybe, I should just go pee and get rid of the temptation.

Antdamm Fri 06-Nov-09 15:01:29

I peed.

No test

Up yours temptation grin

jumblequeen Fri 06-Nov-09 15:02:08

True. I'd have a wee either way if I were you - you must be bursting!

bathroomsink Fri 06-Nov-09 15:40:23

Hi Ladies!

I'm 27, recently married and TTC. Would love some advice on symptoms and to wish you all well!

jumblequeen Fri 06-Nov-09 15:51:33

Welcome bathroomsink! Please feel free to add yourself to our stats list smile

What symptoms are you having (not that we're looking out for them wink)

KayloFireworks Fri 06-Nov-09 16:15:35

Helloooo....

I like this thread lots

You're all crazee tho, I should fit right in grin

Ant and Jumble I almost peed at your pee or no pee conversation lol grin

I think I'm gonna test on the 20th Nov, at work (am I crazy?) cos I'm going to see New Moon with my chick and guy friends, would be nice to share a tiny secret with them - they can look after me at work then. Obviously I could be feeling completely over-confident but I sense this month is it - will be an August baby for me [hoping hoping hoping...]

Or babies....

I keep dreaming that I have twins!! shock For the past 4 nights I have had the same dream that I'm on the school run with dd and ds but I have a rather gorgeous double pram (red, with separate carrycots) and two tiny bundles in there. No idea if girls or boys as could just see faces but what a vivid recurrent dream.

Anyway....back to reality.

Am just entering 2ww, will dtd for the few nights til about Tues[ish] then will be wishing the fortnight away so I can test. AF better leave me alone this month or theres gonna be trouble....

Hope you're all well.....

katiecubs Fri 06-Nov-09 16:22:16

Cripes i thought this thread was dead and now it's well busy!!

I had thought about putting of TTC until after Christmas mostly due to parties, mulled wine and not feeling sick over the holidays but i want a baby more!!

Hope everyone has lovely weekends - i will be BDing :-)

jumblequeen Fri 06-Nov-09 16:35:15

Kaylo - I know! and we still don't know the outcome... could have been a BFP! shock

Your dreams sound great! I have a friend who was approached by a total stranger that somehow knew his name, and was told he would father twins in the next couple of years. Lo and behold, it came true! (And he still doesn't know who this mystery man was...hmm)

Good luck for your 2ww and keep us posted.

katiecubs - have a lovely weekend... hope it's a special one wink

bathroomsink Fri 06-Nov-09 17:34:29

Thanks jumblequeen!

My symptons are increased breast size, fatigue, vomitting, dizzyness and lightheadedness, back pain, bloated stomach.

My most fertile time was around 21st Sept and have had the symptoms since towards the end of September and getting worse. AF was due on the 3rd and 31st Oct and has been shorter and lighter than usual and HPT say no. If there was a BFP I would be about 8 weeks now and my waistbands are getting tighter I have been off work for 2 weeks but no diagnosis. I had a blood test and my platelet count was low so have had to redo this. Results back on Tuesday.

I don't know if I am , if I'm not, if I'm losing the plot...help!

jumblequeen Fri 06-Nov-09 17:56:19

Blimey! shock

If I had those symptoms I'd be pretty sure I was PG... I guess you just have to wait for the results to come through - a blood test is going to be so much more reliable than a HPT. Try and have a nice weekend and relax until then... Hope you're okay x

bathroomsink Fri 06-Nov-09 17:59:35

I know! The works!
Relax I will...Hot Chocolate at the ready! Thanks for the advice!!x

kairo Sun 08-Nov-09 01:01:33

hi everyone, I am new to mumsnet.
I am 27 ttc since jan09 still no success, feel really crap, I feel like am all broken and my body dont work. This month I had 2 peak on clearblue fertility monitor and one high, i bd on both my peak and days leading up to the peak days but hubby was too tiered to bd on my high day. So i am thinking if ive messed up. I am 5-6 dpo and still no symptoms apart from very painful boobs, and slight pokes on my right ovary. The poking might be in my head just imagining the feelings. I am due to start my menses in the next 8-9 days, i have a 31 day cycle

kairo Sun 08-Nov-09 01:03:07

oh yes, i have forgotten to mention that i have the premenstrual cramp feeling as soon as i wake up in the morning but it lessens throughout the day

Hey everyone

ant so sorry to hear the witch got u-next month will be your month,im sure of it!

Welcome to all the new girls and good luck! Everyones lovely on here, if slightly maddened by all this ttc lark wink

ive been feeling pretty shitty today, all fluey and achey and tired. Have had a sore back the past two days and a weird crampy full feeling low in my stomach-i guess im just coming down with something. My boobs have been feeling heavy the past few days too but i dont know if its all just in my head hmm

Anyway will just have to wait til friday to see if af turns up.

Did everyone have a nice weekend?

kaylo hows you hun?

kairo when is af due for you?

whitty hows the wedding plans coming along?

jumble how are you sticking the wait?

kairo Mon 09-Nov-09 01:37:10

hi seanybosmummysfedupwaitin i feel the same way to hun. My bbs are sore, painful and heavy, keep having to tell hubby off, he loves them looking big, but am screaming 'arghhh it hurts dont touch' lol
i am getting odd feeling on the right ovary, but i probably gone mad, imagining things.

Are you about to start you period?

my AF is due in the next 7 days (ucl is 31 days)

my bbt was up 36.9 celsius yesterday, today its 36.4cel..Iam 7 dpo and this is a dip in temp, which might mean i prob not preg. Did Hpt BFN, am hoping it goes back up.

kairo Mon 09-Nov-09 01:39:39

oh sorry, ur af is due friday, fingers crossed is good news and hope af can go on a long holiday

jumblequeen Mon 09-Nov-09 08:36:04

Morning ladies,

Well, AF got me yesterday sad
Feeling a bit sorry for myself today... I know I've only been at this madness for two months but I can't help it. I suppose I just thought getting pregnant would be easy - especially given the fact that time is on my side in terms of age. But ooooooh no. I can't help feeling that my teachers were fibbing just a little but in my PSME lessons...!

Ant so sorry to hear --that bitch-- AF got you too. Let's hope that the next cycle is a lucky one for us. Although this now raises the prospect of having a baby on my birthday... hmm

kairo welcome!

seanybosmummy - sorry to hear you're feeling rotten. I don't think the impending winter is doing much to lift anyone's spirits.

jumblequeen Mon 09-Nov-09 08:51:58

kaylo i meant to mention your dream last night but i was so tired i forgot-have you tried googling it to see what it means? I google my dreams all the time-should really get around to buying one of them dream interpretation books sometime.

kairo sorry i cant offer much advice re the temps-i've never tried temping so i've no idea what way it works. How are you feeling today?

I phoned into work sick today-hardly slept at all last night, and had horrible cramps in my stomach in the early hours-not af type cramps, cant really describe what they were like other than to say they were very sore, started really low in my belly and went right up to my ribs.

lay82 Mon 09-Nov-09 09:26:47

morning ladies I have a question ...

AF arrived this morning. I have quite a short cycle of 25 days so looking at the OV calculator we are goo to start TTC again early part of next week.

I go on a hen weekend on the Friday of that week. Would you just drink as normal that weekend or stay off the booze just in case?

xx

bathroomsink Mon 09-Nov-09 14:18:50

Hello!

Sorry to hear ol' Aunt Flo doing her pre-Christmas rounds. Once she's gone, lock the doors so she doesn't come back!! (wellat least for a lil while!)
I went back to my GP today, blood tests result are back and I'm well but they have only now decided to do a hCG so will know on Friday. Symptoms still persisting and told to stay of Nurofen just in case...Friday seems so far away...
lay82 - I'd say stay off just incase or just a small one if the temptation is too much!x

sparechange Mon 09-Nov-09 15:23:52

Hello ladies
Did you all have lovely weekends?
I'm symptom spotting again!
Achey boobs and really sore nips (which are permenantly errect -TMI!!)

And I only had EWCM for 1 day this month (instead of 3-4 days usually) so I've convinced myself I got pg on the very first day
AF should be due this saturday, so I've already bought some tests in anticipation for next week

Why oh why will I never learn not to get my hopes up like this grin

kairo Mon 09-Nov-09 19:42:19

jumblequeen sorry to hear nasty AF found its way
seanybosmummysfedupwaitin hmm i wonder why you felt that pain, wiered, is it pokin pain?

Hi Lay82 this is a difficult one, you want to enjoy yourself but you want to be cautious, please dont take my advise but i just wanted to say that one of my hubbys collegue has one daughter and she drank wine sensibly before 9 wks, everything turned out fine, shes a pharmacologist. She is pregnanat with her second child and she found out at 8 wks, was scared and told her gp she drank alchohol if that was ok, GP told her if it wasnt too much and was once in a while, sensibly, before 8 wks, shouldnt cause her too much problems, she is now due in 2 wks and had scans confirming healthy baby.
Ithink decision is yours but get medical advise just in case then you can jugde better.

bathroomsink hello
sparechange hi, i know i keep telling myself not too get too excite as it leads to dissapointment, but us women cant help ourselves , lol, we go crazy reading articles, but its just cuz we want a babyyyy

jumblequeen Mon 09-Nov-09 21:31:02

Okay ladies, if you are of a sensitive disposition, look away now...

I was certain that AF had come but now now so sure. Yesterday and today I've had very pale brown spotting (TMI, i know...) but absolutely no blood. Is there any way this could be implantation bleeding at 14 DPO?? I haven't the first idea - maybe one of you can shed some light here. Rifling through the internet has been more confusing than anything else!

bathroomsink Mon 09-Nov-09 21:37:46

Its possible, is there any cramping at all?
Monitor it over the 24 hours and see if there are any changes.

Might be worth making a Drs appointment if they do emergency "on the day" appointments for extra clarification.

I could post a few links but don't want to add to the confusion!

Stay positive and try not to stress too much - easier said than done I know!xx

kairo Mon 09-Nov-09 23:13:30

if your spotting is light and brown even pinkish but its very light and goes away in a day or so then i guess you could be pregnant.
Like bathroomsink said monitor your spotting, note if you get severe cramps, then try and make an app with gp.

update us

jumblequeen Tue 10-Nov-09 10:14:20

Morning,

Thank you for the support... Well, the spotting (what there was of it) was totally gone by this morning. I have had minor cramps on the lower right hand side of my abdomen and my lower back is still sore (as it has been for about he last week). I'm really trying not to make too much of this but at the same time would love to know what this is all about?! hmm

I did a test this morning (BFN)... I've no idea what mIU the test was as Tesco don't list it on their boxes! So I have an appt with the dr this afternoon. Hopefully she'll be able to shed some light on the subject.

How is everyone else? It's a grey day in London and bloody freezing!

sparechange Tue 10-Nov-09 10:23:05

Fingers crossed for you, Jumblequeen

I'm sharing your grey, freezing london day, with an added sprinkling of being stuck in a tube train for 45 mins after someone was taken ill on the train in front

jumblequeen Tue 10-Nov-09 10:28:07

sparechange - horrible isn't it? Sorry to hear about your tube delay - they're the worst!

I was panicing a bit about being very late, and not being able to phone and warn anyone.

jumblequeen Tue 10-Nov-09 10:37:16

What time is the appointment?
We can all keep our fingers extra crossed for you...

harmonyb23 Tue 10-Nov-09 11:19:19

Hello everyone, I don't know if you remember me I was on the thread about a month ago. I had a BFP a short while ago but it turned out to be an ectopic pregnancy and so I have had to have an injection of methotrexate to abort the otherwise healthy pregnancy. I am looking at ttc again asap but the doc says I may need to wait 3 months for the drug to leave my body.

How's everyone else getting on? I can't wait to start trying again... smile

jumblequeen Tue 10-Nov-09 11:46:18

Hi harmony - I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Best of luck for your next cycle!

sparechange - my appointment is at 3:40pm. I'm not holding out much hope because of my BFN this morning but would obviously like some answers as to why AF hasn't arrived! I guess if if i've had implantation bleeding then a test would show positive for another couple of days so I'm going to ask for a blood test. God, this is so stressful!

jumblequeen Tue 10-Nov-09 11:57:10

Have now convinced myself it's an ectopic pregnancy. Fuck.

bathroomsink Tue 10-Nov-09 12:20:18

Good morning ladies!

Try not to think the worst just yet jumblequeen! You may still have a lil fighter in there.

My nausea has gone but am trying not to think the worst! Boobs are still popping out of my bra so I can't complain about that!

All being well the Dr will tell me that my hCG blood levels are through the roof...failing that, hubbys back in the UK this weekend so one way or another I'll be up the duff whilst watching the Queen's Speech on Christmas day!

I just made some Banoffee Pie but I think I ate tooo much!xx

Hello girls,

Harmony im so sorry to hear of your loss. How are you doing?

Well girls i caved and poas-bfn sad. Why oh why do i do this to myself?????

just ate four chocolates to console myself lol and have my weigh in tonite at weightwatchers-not holding my breath lol

How is everyone else today? jumble hope you get the answers you need at your docs appointment. Let us know how you get on.

Kaloki Tue 10-Nov-09 14:48:25

I thought I'd joined this thread, but obviously only in my imagination. lol

My bodies being odd, got what felt like ovulation cramps last night, had to run a hot bath at 3am! But I'm not due to ovulate till next Wednesday hmm

Kerriko Tue 10-Nov-09 15:07:39

I'm Kaloki's partner - hello all! Not entirely sure what to say on here though :-/

bathroomsink Tue 10-Nov-09 15:28:31

Welcome Kaloki and Partner!

How are you feeling now - any other symptoms?

Kaloki Tue 10-Nov-09 15:31:04

Nope, back to usual now. Odd isn't it? Kerriko is looking after me as usual though :D

sparechange Tue 10-Nov-09 15:50:37

harmony so sorry to hear about that, but onwards and upwards for next year...

Keeping my fingers crossed for Jumble also. I hope her doc is giving her good news right now

jumblequeen Tue 10-Nov-09 16:41:05

Well hello. Thank you so much for your good wishes... smile
Just back from the doctor now, and I quote: "yeah, probably just a late period. Test again in a week's time if you've still had nothing. We do say to wait until a week after your period is late you know."

A WEEK'S TIME?!

So far, so confused.... sad

How is everyone else getting on? Welcome new girls x

bathroomsink Tue 10-Nov-09 17:35:25

Grrrrr! Its so annoying when Dr's dont have the answers!

What might be an idea is to monitor each day and keep a lil diary of all symptoms, changes etc. I then took this to my last appointment and the Dr then did the hCG as I have had 3 lighter "periods" and BFN. who knows! Either way I'm remaining positive. If I am then this is week 10...crumbs!

LittleSilver Tue 10-Nov-09 19:26:47

Can I join in? I'm 28, 3 DDs, ttc DC4. DD3 only 6m though and still bf so don't think will conceive until I stop bf (never have before, seems to be very effective contraception for me). Really broody and wish I would start menstruating so could conceive! Feeing very nauseaous and off food recently, but poas and got BFN, so must be coincidence. Damn!

kairo Wed 11-Nov-09 00:57:15

Good Luck jumblequeen
I am sorry to hear about your ectopic pregnancy harmony lets hope you get better quick so you can ttc again x
How is everybody else? hello bathroomsink

talking bout cold, am freezing, i am hypothyroid, so i cant tolerate any level of cold, i have my socks on with a cuppa.
(grin)

Dont know why am feeling hungry today, maybe cuz am cold sitting in one place.
I had kebab, bread, tea, juice, drink, buscuit, yoghurt, pad thai noodles, hmm.. i think am greedy

jumblequeen Wed 11-Nov-09 11:13:26

UPDATE:

Tested this morning (my last one, I thought 'what the hell') and got a very faint but definitely discernible BFP after about 40 seconds! Even DP had to admit there was a line there (ghostly though it was ) and he's not one to jump the gun.

Still trying not to get too excited as the line was faint but can't help myself.... I suppose I'll test again in a couple of days to confirm.

My head is a spin...

How is everyone else getting on?

Welcome Littlesilver

aaggggggggggghhhhhhhhh jumble!!!!!!!!!!!!! congratulations!!! the next few days will be torture for you.

ant glad your back online. Im ok,got my prescription for clomid off the doc this morning, and had slight spotting today so i guess af is on her merry way. I have to take clomid on my first day of bleeding, so im afraid to take it now just incase i have the same luck as jumble! lol

Welcome newbies and good luck!!

kaylo, whitty, where did you go?

Bubble if your lurking, hope you are well hun xx

jumblequeen Wed 11-Nov-09 17:41:52

Tell me about it! Like I say, I'm trying not to focus on it too much the theory seems to be that a line is definitely a line...just heard from another MNer who only ever had a faint line - go figure!

Mind if I stick around on this thread until I know for sure (and maybe even after smile)?

legallyblond Wed 11-Nov-09 20:46:24

Hi all

I hope this is the right thread... I am so new to all this!

I am 27 and about to start TTC (just getting used to the acronyms too!) I am married and we've decided that 2010 is the year!

I don't think I am too young at all to b starting down this road, but none of my friend are anywhere near considering babies, which is kinda why I am here - no else to discuss it all with! I am a lawyer in the city, and saying you want to have a baby at my work is like dropping a bomb... so I think I'll be keeping quiet for now!

As we're thinking of starting trying in January (that way I'll be one year qualified as lawyer and it makes a difference to all the boring stuff like maternity pay!), what do ya'll think about diet, alcohol and caffeine etc now, in the pre-TTC stage..? I don't smoke, so that's no problem, and I have started (today!) taking folic acid, but is there anything else I should think about do you think? I'm also not on the pill (it SERIOUSLY disagrees with me!),so I guess coming off that is one less thing to think about too.

I am excited to be starting on this journey!

jumble dont you dare go anywhere!!! [waggling finger emoction] We need you to stay here and keep us updated and to remind us that happy endings do happen!!

Hiya legallyblond-good luck for 2010 smile wow you sound very organised! grin.

We love a bit of organisation on here-im a big list maker myself lol (speaking of lists, will we start ours up again girls?)

Thats a good start with the folic acid and the fact that you dont smoke legallyb. I quit smoking 18 days before i found out i was pregnant with my ds,which was great as i had made the choice myself and didnt feel pressurised into it.

I have heard that losing 10% of your body weight if you are overweight is a big help, which is why up til now i have lost 19.5lb. [very proud of myself emoction]Im not a big drinker either which is a help.

Just an update on my situation-i thought af had arrived earlier as had a few streaks of pinky blood, and some stained a pad(wasnt red, more a pinky brown colour). I thought it was a little too heavy to be spotting so i had decided i may as well take my first dose of clomid,as ive to take it cd1 til cd5.
Anyway i was worried about taking it so didnt and then i realised the bleeding/spotting or whatever it was has stopped again. so im gonna hold off til tomorrow to see if it comes back with a vengence and then take the 1st dose.
Afs def on her way tho cause i have started to cramp alot angry I just hate all this confusion!!

jumblequeen Wed 11-Nov-09 22:10:37

seanybosmummy - aw, thank you smile
I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed, but as there's still no sign of AF I can't help but feel a bit elated. Would love to stick around on this thread til every one of us gets BFPs - you ladies rock!
What you're experiencing at the moment sounds damnably near to what I went through earlier this week so if AF doesn't turn up in the next day or so I would definitely reconsider the Clomid!

Welcome legallyb - you do sound very organised...! And a bit like me i i'm honest - I'd managed to collect no fewer than four pregnancy books before I'd even conceived (if this is indeed, what I have done hmm)
It's great that you're not on the pill as you won't have to think about your body's readjustment period and can concentrate on anything genuinely "different" as you TTC.
In terms of diet etc, i started taking folic acid the moment we decided to TTC and also iron... though that's more to do with the fact that I have v. low blood pressure (I'd been meaning to start taking it for ages).
The only other thing I'm struggling with (I don't smoke) is the thought of a christmas without booze!

bathroomsink Thu 12-Nov-09 00:42:55

thats awesome jumblequeen you're updates keep me positive!

Yesterday was a pants day - emotions all over the place, crying, angry, tired

Been getting aches in my calves and lower back and finding it difficult to sleep for the past 2 nights. Had slight pelvic discomfort so it all seems to be going on right now. Anyone able to shed some light? Still awaiting hCG results on Friday...

jumblequeen Thu 12-Nov-09 08:26:36

Thank you - bathroomsink! It was just like me to have an out of the norm experience of things wink
When are you due to get your results back? I had (have) lower back pain but that was also a sign of AF for me... it was the tummy cramps that were unusual. My only advice is to note anything that feels unusual... unfortunately for me, I was on the pill for so long that I could hardly remember what AF felt like!

legallyblond Thu 12-Nov-09 10:46:56

Thanks so much for all the welcomes girls!

Organised...? ha! My husband would laugh if he saw that! I did actually do one super organised thing though - about six weeks ago I finally got up to date with having the dreaded smear test - all came back clear thank goodness.

I have fingers crossed for you all this month!
grin

bathroomsink Thu 12-Nov-09 10:47:09

Defo will do. Everything at the moment unusual. I had had the most amount of lower stomach gurgling. No pain just an uneasy feeling. I'm feeling obese now with belly and boobs bigger than I'm used to...I'm becoming a monster

Rant over! How are you and the other TTC's doing today??xx

Updated - sorry if it's not right.

Nothing to report here, still waiting for AF to feck off. So we can start again.

Got completely soaked today going down to pick up DS - was bucketing down - rubbish. We then got splashed on by about 4 cars on the way home sad So we are trying to dry off.

Ooooh Seany - got my fingers crossed for ya!!

How is everyone else??

sparechange Thu 12-Nov-09 16:07:43

Hi Antdamm,
Nothing much else to report. I'm still on the edge of my seat for an update from jumble
AF is due on Saturday so desperatly resisting the urge to test at the moment
I've found packs of 3 tests in the local pound shop so I've been stockpiling....

KayloFireworks Thu 12-Nov-09 16:30:58

Hello Everyone,

I've seen congrats are in order for you Jumble you must be thrilled!! - lets hope it start's the ball rolling

I'm gonna freely admit that I'm not keeping up with this thread (or any for that matter) as I'm on 2ww and getting close to obsession and it's driving me crazy. I'm testing in a weeks time, I think, so I'll be 2 days early technically but I think a BFP should still be detectable with a CBD or FR. If it's a BFN I'll be devastated cos I've just about got myself convinced....blush

SYMPTOMS
taste in mouth like I've been chomping on paperclips!
funny feelings in abdomen
chest shooting pains
lots of weeing
headaches

all of the above I had whilst on 2ww with last pregnancy. Hmm, wheres time machine when you need one???

I hope you're all well, I'm sorry I'm neglecting you all - please forgive me grin

xxx

KayloFireworks Thu 12-Nov-09 16:34:07

nausea - yuk!!!

Antdamm Thu 12-Nov-09 17:30:29

Ooooh Kaylo - those symptoms sound hopeful!! I understand your need to step away from the madness.

Just make sure you come back to tell us the news.....smile

sparechange Thu 12-Nov-09 17:46:17

oooh, kaylo, that all sounds good
I'm keeping my fingers very crossed for you.

I've got a work do tonight and am already rehearsing my excuses for saying 'no' to a second bottle glass of wine
It is most out of character for me grin

jumblequeen Thu 12-Nov-09 18:56:19

Hello girls,

Just spent the day at hospital. I thought it wouldn't hurt to get that niggling feeling in my tummy checked out so called my doctor who referred me to a&e who referred me to the early pregnancy assesment unit (EPAU). After having every test under the sun and being poked and prodded just about everywhere, I waited an agonising two hours (I had already been there for 4) before being told that it was highly unlikely that my "pregnancy" was a uterine one (ie normal). My missed period means I either had a miscarriage without realising it (??) or I have an ectopic pregnancy. When I asked the doctor if there was any chance of my pregnancy benig normal she said it would be pretty far down on her list as my hormone levels were so low (and they couldn't see anything in my fkking uterus). I have to go back in two days time for a second blood test but I naturally think the news will be bad.

So there you have it. Elated to devastated in one fell swoop.

whittywantababy6 Fri 13-Nov-09 14:15:40

Hey ladies posting again...my cycle is now one day late...not sure why but hey I wont question it....not going to test trying to hold out as long as possible. grin

Antdamm Fri 13-Nov-09 15:12:25

Oh Jumble - sorry to hear what has been happening. Please don't give up hope just yet.

I hope you get better news tomorrow.

Hi Whitty - nice to hear from you! When do u think you will be testing?

sparechange Fri 13-Nov-09 16:21:51

I hope you and your DH are ok
Thinking of you x

Hi whitty-good for you for holding out on the testing. i hope you get the bfp you've been hoping for.

Ant hope yous didnt catch a cold after that downpour yesterday

Still dizzy, nauseous, tired and my back (just under my ribs are aching so bad). I haven't slept well the past 3 nights. No idea whats going on inside of me Am back to my GP on Thursday for a results breakdown - until then, I'm just trying sucj it in and ride this emotional rollercoaster!

Any other updates?x

Jumble, I am so sorry - what a horrible day that day in the hospital must have been. I know everyone has said it, but don't give up just yet.... sad

No news here... but dh and I are thinking of bringing forward the actively ttc to next month rather than Jan... yikes!

I am planning next week to get a dr's appointment to get her to check me for immunity to rubella.... anything else anyone can think of that I should ask the dr?

Love, have a good weekend everyone!

Just updating.

Nothing to add from me. Been concentrating on Xmas shopping and doing my family tree.

How is everyone else today?

jumblequeen Mon 16-Nov-09 11:08:17

Hi all,

Sorry not to have posted for a few days. Still going through the process of endless blood tests to find out what is going on. One thing is for sure - I'm definitely pregnant, but the chances of it being a "normal" uterine pregnancy are pretty slim. It's a waiting game at the moment and I'm going slowly mad... sad

Don't mean to bring the tone down... Welcome new girls and lots of love to you all x x x

Bubblebell1 Mon 16-Nov-09 11:40:50

Morning girls!

ant LOL at your ds... if only it was that easy.

i hate xmas shopping.. i got a few bits this morning, was a nightmare tho as ds2 wont sit in his pushchair and i spent most of the time chasing him around the shops.

legally good luck ttc... you going to follow the deannas plan or gonna attempt a relaxed approach??

seany how many cycles of clomid you had? i did 1 at 50mg and 2 at 100mg. still got 1 cycle left but thought i would safe it til i get desperate.

jumble i know its a difficult time. HCG levels can vary alot in the 1st few weeks of pregnancy... it aint over til the evil witch turns up. be positive babe.. sending you sticky thoughts xxxx

Antdamm Mon 16-Nov-09 12:51:03

Jumble - Sorry if I am being dense here - but how do they know that the chances of it being a normal uterine pregnancy are slim. Did they do an internal scan? Are they basing this purely on blood test results?
Am keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Afternoon everyone!

jumble please dont give up hope yet hun. thinking of you xx

Bubble this is my first cycle on clomid (50mg). I got a 3 month supply then the dose will be upped if it doesnt work
I cant believe you dont like christmas shopping!! I looooooooooooooooove it,its my fav time of year. Im nearly done with my shopping only have 3 presents left to get, and we've all ds's toys in.

How is everyone else today?

Ant hows your family tree coming along-uve been doing that for a while havent you?

Antdamm Mon 16-Nov-09 14:16:18

My family tree is getting on well - have gone back really far. I have been at it since about March I reckon. I love doing it. Have been doing DPs family tree also - have got really far with that and his side i like better because some of his people grew up in the same city as I used to live in and I recognise places they lived, got married etc. We are giving his mum her family tree in a book thing for Xmas, which she will love.

I do love Xmas shopping, but not in this weather!! I have done a lot online this year, so that I can get it delivered to Scotland to save me dragging it back over there when we go at Xmas.

sparechange Tue 17-Nov-09 10:23:10

hello ladies
I'm now 14 days past ov, but no AF
Tested on Saturday (when I was due) and got a BFN
But my totally symptonless!
If I don't have anyting by tomorrow, I'll test again

KayloFireworks Tue 17-Nov-09 17:08:32

Hi Girls!!!

Would like to inform you all that I got a BFP yesterday gringringrin

This one better friggin stick. Feeling exhausted and so so sick already!!

Welcome back Bubble How are you?

Jumble I really hope things are ok with you!!! Sending smiles your way >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Bubblebell1 Wed 18-Nov-09 07:57:47

Hi everyone!!

CONGRATULATIONS KAYLO that brilliant news sending you lots of sticky vibes. im great thanks and just hoping that this time round i get lucky.

spare are you sure u ovulated? did you do another hpt?

ant i'd luv to do my family tree.. on my dads side we cant go back further than his dad.. he was abandoned as a baby in scotland but i mite have a go at doin the rest.

seany fingers crossed the clomid works for you and you dont get too many of the awful side effects xxx

legallyblond Wed 18-Nov-09 08:58:56

kaylo - CONGRATULATIONS! So happy... I am crossing everything for the next three months!

jumble - it all sounds so confusing and scary..... How are they sure its not normal? Maybe, just maybe..?

bubble - I am so dense and new to this... what is the "deannas" plan/approach to ttc?

I went to the doctors yesterday to discuss ttc - he basically said he didn't need to test anything in advance of me actually being pregant. He said my weight was just right (bmi 22) and we talked through my cycles... he said that, as everything seems to run like clockwork at the moment, best to just try for a few months and see what happens. He said to take folic acid and, if I am actively ttc and suspect I may be pg, not to drink alcohol. but other than that, he just said go ahead!

Have a good day everyone, x

Bubblebell1 Wed 18-Nov-09 09:35:53

legally if you google 'sperm meets egg plan' or 'deannas plan' it explains everything. it is just a plan that can help you concieve... not everyones cuppa t tho... is a bit full on and some ppl prefer the more relaxed approach.

sparechange Wed 18-Nov-09 10:13:16

SCREAM Kaylo!
That is such fantastic news. You must be over the moon!
grin

In other news, the witch got me last night. I was this close to doing another hpt, but DH was out, so I thought I'd wait until the morning. Went to the loo and sad there it was.
Onwards and upwards though. I've already marked in my ov dates for Dec and told DH to clear his diary for those days as he has a job to do...

Bubblebell1 Wed 18-Nov-09 10:44:05

spare sorry the witch got u... good luck with this month.

whittywantababy6 Wed 18-Nov-09 12:50:52

Hey ladies here is an update...I'm officially 7 days late...and I'm still trying to hold out silly I know but I'm nervous might wait til the weekend. kaylo Im so happy for you...and ladies I wish us all the best of luck

legallyblond Thu 19-Nov-09 09:41:20

Whitty... TEST!! So exciting!

I googled the Deanna's thing.. I think I will go for a relaxed approach to begin with, but the main thing from the whole sperm mets egg thing seems to be: sex every other day in the immediate run up to ovulation, then every day when you ovulate, with not too big gaps between sex at other times... I figure I can kinda do that with out testing for ovulation as I can guess from how my body feels/discharge looks etc etc (TMI, I know!) when I ovulate within a day or so... well, I'll try that and then get more precise/obsessional(!) if it doesn't work!

Kaylo... how are you feeling?!

x x

jumblequeen Thu 19-Nov-09 11:25:55

Hello All,

First and foremost - Kaylo - congratulations! I'm so pleased for you. And whitty I can't believe you haven't POAS yet! You have more restraint than me, lady... grin

Sorry to hear AF got some of you this month. But never fear, we will all get a BFP... nobody gets left behind on this thread!

No more news from me I'm afraid. I haven't had any more one-sided pain or spotting so I'm trying to stay positive without investing too much. I have another scan on the 24th and fingers crossed they'll be able to see where the pregnancy is although it's still very early days....

sparechange Thu 19-Nov-09 11:54:27

Keeping my fingers crossed for you jumble

stats... TTC#1 cycle 1 UCL? CD29

Tested BPN this morning, but AF hasn't arrived.... only came off the pill a month ago so things probably haven't quite slotted into place...

how are all you ladies doing? see there are a few congrats in order!! fab

mrsZaC Thu 19-Nov-09 13:14:48

oops ment BFN not BPN, man this stuff is confusing!

legallyblond Thu 19-Nov-09 14:02:12

Fingers crossed mrsZaC... any pre-af symptoms? Here's hoping she doesn't show up! wink

jumblequeen Thu 19-Nov-09 20:15:34

mrsZaC - It took my body a month to get back to normal after coming off the pill. On the other hand you might be the most fertile woman in the world and it'll all happen for you instantly! grin

LittleSilver Thu 19-Nov-09 20:39:31

Well, don't really want to write BFP, more of a very faint +ive this morning. Now weebling about doing another; don't want to shatter hopes IYSWIM?

KayloFireworks Thu 19-Nov-09 21:55:35

Thanks everyone - Still slightly reeling today about it all cos technically I tested so early that a positive result shouldn't have even registered - so now I'm paranoid thinking..... dun dun duuuuuh.....twins?
A already feeling very very sick, and exhausted to the point of needing pro plus just to get through my working day.

But hey ho...am still smiling ear to ear

CONGRATS to Little Silver - a line is a line hun - test again in couple of days if you want reassurance - I'm still peeing on sticks blushgrin Just to make sure you know?

Whitty Any news?

Hope everyone is smiling and well xxxx

Antdamm Fri 20-Nov-09 09:38:04

Kaylo!!!!!!!! So sorry I missed your announcement. Congrats!!

My internet is still playing up.

Little Silver - Like Kaylo says, a line is a line! Congrats!!

Jumble - I still have my fingers crossed for you. I hope everything goes well on the 24th and you get the news you want smile

Welcome - MrsZac!

As for me. Last month I had a period that lasted a few days exactly two weeks after my 'real' period - And now I think I have the same again. Am considering going to the doctors about it, but was thinking of waiting a bit to see if the trend continues next month. As usual, I have no idea what is going on...
I read somewhere about ovulation bleeding - but not really wanting to google it. Anyone heard of this??

How is everyone else today?

sparechange Fri 20-Nov-09 10:10:26

Hello everyone,

Congrats Little Silver! It seems like this has been a good week for this thread!! Here is hoping for more of the same next month...

I've got my 5 month preggers friend coming over for pizze and chick flicks tonight (haven't told DH yet.. hmm) so I can quiz her on her pg until she is bored senseless.

jumblequeen Fri 20-Nov-09 16:54:03

Go littlesilver! I know ladies that have only ever had faint lines (and as I keep saying it's almost impossible to get a "false" positive) so I would say congratulations are in order... grin

Kaylo - TWINS!! Imagine it...

Ant - thanks for your ongoing good wishes. I'm actually feeling fine at the moment (apart from sore boobs the size of small continents) and had my first "proper" appointment at the doctor this morning! DP and I are deperately trying not to get our hopes up but it's hard...

How is everyone else doing?

x

PandaSam Fri 20-Nov-09 18:14:57

Hi ladies

Hope its OK for me to join the thread. Have been lurking for a while but not posted as not "officially" TTC. I've been incredibly broody for years but DP wants to wait. However we had a slight "accident" a couple of weeks ago and now I'm sympton spotting like crazy.

Stats are
(Sort of!)TTC#1 UCL 32 CD36

Have been really naughty and been testing since about CD28 but all BFN. I'm sure AF will turn up eventually - can't think I'd be lucky enough to get pregnant on the first go!

Good luck to everyone else this month
x

jumblequeen Fri 20-Nov-09 22:12:39

Hey PandaSam - welcome! Best of luck to you as asnd when you "officially" start TTC - the girls on this thread are really supportive so feel free to share your experiences.

smile

kaylo so pleased to hear your news! Congrats hun!! I really hope this little bean is a nice sticky one for you xx

I see congrats are also in order for littlesilver smile

Jumble best of luck for tuesday, please let us know how you get on-we will all be thinking about you.

How is everyone else today?

I was just about to go to bed until i noticed that twilight is on-couldn't possibly go now until its over-I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry i forgot to say good luck to the newbies

jumblequeen Fri 20-Nov-09 22:59:13

Seany - TWILIGHT, yes! A (not so) guilty pleasure for me too. grin
Thanks again for your nice words. I'm quietly hoping that tuesday will be a positive turning point for me smile
Will keep you posted x

KayloFireworks Sat 21-Nov-09 12:10:12

Awww, Twilight,

LOVE IT!!!

Went to see New Moon last night and it's amazing, much better than twilight cos they stick to the book better!

Going to see it again tomorrow with my mum grin

Obsessed? Me? Never.....hmm

Thanks for all the messages of congrats - hope someone gets a bfp soon cos theres only me on the Due August Thread. Can hear my voice echo off the walls and everything

Love to All xxxx

jumblequeen Sat 21-Nov-09 12:36:13

Kaylo - if and when I'm a bit more happy in my BFP-ness (roll on tuesday) I'm thinking of starting a 20 TTC "graduates" thread which I hope you'll join... I find those big threads a bit scary!

How is everyone else today? x

legallyblond Sat 21-Nov-09 17:44:40

Jumble - we're all crossing everything for Tuesday...!

Welcome PandaSam - I am sort of in the same boat... my dh and I are going to start ttc in January (work reasons, mostly for me as I am a lawyer and ttc in Jan means I will be 1 year qualified when I have a baby, which gives me all sorts of things like better maternity pay!). So in my twenties (27) and almost ttc!

Have a good weekend all!

x

jumblequeen Sun 22-Nov-09 09:30:18

Aw, that's sweet of you legallyb.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend x

mrsZaC Sun 22-Nov-09 12:21:38

Hey ladies, not been on for a few days, birthday weekend and trying to forget all about TTC. Still no AF, I know I'm not preg so just looking forward to it coming to get my cycle started properly! (I never thought I would be saying that) only just over a month off pill so probably taking a while to work itself out... I was rather hoping I was super-fertile though wink

does anyone reccomend the ovulation tests? how to the rest of you lovely ladies track ovulation?

x

Kaloki Sun 22-Nov-09 16:28:05

Need to change my stats, my period decided to turn up on day 19 hmm

So it's now
TTC#1 cycle 2 UCL? CD 1

jumblequeen Sun 22-Nov-09 16:48:57

mrsZaC - that's a really good attitude to have. smile I'm sure you'll have no trouble at all.

I tracked ovulation via the somewhat icky means of having a look at my cervicular mucus (sorry, TMI) - for me this was the easiest method but I think you'd do just as well tracking your basal temperature if you're not already in tune with your body's secretions...

Kaloki - sorry to hear AF got you. Is your cycle usually irregular?

Antdamn is your internet playing up again?? wink smile

PandaSam Sun 22-Nov-09 20:27:02

Hi again everyone. Just thought I'd better update.

Knew that posting on MN would be the end for me! AF arrived the very next day and so have been feeling awful all weekend. However did bring about conversation with me and DP and he has now agreed we can properly start TTC next year. So every cloud etc!

legallyblond I'm in a similar position work wise - so DP has said we should wait until May - argh how to wait six more months!!

Good luck to everyone else - hope you all get BFPs soon!

Kaloki Mon 23-Nov-09 00:24:25

"Kaloki - sorry to hear AF got you. Is your cycle usually irregular?"

Nope, normally totally regular hmm

mrsZaC Mon 23-Nov-09 11:23:16

thanks jumble, how does tracking your CM work?... is there a chart or something? not TMI at all, I think from start to finish pregnancy is usually all about TMI!! blush

Kaloki sorry to hear about the arrival of AF, have you just come off BC aswell? or have you been off for a while.

Kaloki Mon 23-Nov-09 13:31:06

Just had the coil removed, but it seemed to have gone back to normal. Evidently not. Ah well, fingers crossed for this month

sparechange Tue 24-Nov-09 10:10:00

Hello ladies,
how are you all today?
Nothing to report from Sparechange Towers, but thinking of everyone else...
x

jumblequeen Tue 24-Nov-09 10:57:40

mrsZaC - there's a good article on it here but at your most fertile time (ie ovulation) you're looking for a CM that is not unlike egg while (yuck). It was the most reliable method for me as I'm usually totally out of it in the morning (the time you have to chart your basal temp)!

Pandasam - sorry to hear that. It's definitely a good thing if it got you and your partner talking though smile. Plus, you get to enjoy a guilt-free christmas! grin

Hello Sparechange! No news is good news, as they say....

jumblequeen Tue 24-Nov-09 16:57:56

I SAW MY TINY LITTLE BABY!! grin grin grin

I have to go back in 10 days time for yet another scan but the nurses were totally happy with how my pregnancy is progressing. I'm so happy!

Thanks girls for all your support x x x x

mrsZaC Tue 24-Nov-09 18:21:28

woo hoo! jumble that's fantastic news! grin

thanks for the link, will have a week look

Antdamm Tue 24-Nov-09 19:25:07

Hey Ladies,

Sorry for the absence - have been doing finishing touches to genealogy gift for DP's Mum. It's been very difficult. Taking up all of my time.

But it is finished now Yay!

Back to me - AF has left the building I think, so it would appear as if it was a proper one - just really early hmm

So, as usual - No idea what is going on!

How's everyone else??

Antdamm Tue 24-Nov-09 19:26:19

Sorry jumble - managed to miss your news...

I'm sooooooo happy for you!!!!! grin grin

jumblequeen Wed 25-Nov-09 12:02:01

Thanks Ant! You girls have all been so supportive... I'm absolutely thrilled to bits.
Best of luck for this month, I'm sure a BFP is coming your way soon! grin

mrsZaC Wed 25-Nov-09 14:39:11

hey jumble just been reading back through this thread and see you've had quite a time of it over the last few days... what did they conclude from your ordeal? glad it's all worked out well, must have been amazing seeing your tiny weeny baba! grin

Jumble... YAY!!!! So so happy for you!

harmonyb23 Thu 26-Nov-09 10:04:39

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been on here in ages. I have had to have a second injection of the methotrexate drug to treat the ectopic but it seems to have worked and I have had my first period since the treatment.

So happy that things have worked out better for you Jumble my story must have worried you slightly (I read back through the posts) but I am really happy you've been able to see the baby and all is progressing well.

Congratulations Kaylo and good luck to everyone else. I myself have got to wait until my next cycle before I can start ttc again, can't wait... grin

Jumble congrats hun!!!! Im so pleased for you, you both must be so relieved!!

mrsZaC Thu 26-Nov-09 20:44:02

hello ladies, how is everyone today? bored as too pooped to make it to the gym with DH, and feeling guilty! also bored of waiting, feel in limbo as AF STILL not here, really want it to appear so I can get my cycle started! soooooooooo tempted to poas but know it will most likely be a bfn! trying my hardest to wait till at least next week, as that will be the next possible time I can get + hmmmm..... If only I'd thought about this before we started TTC, then i would have waited for my first AF before I started, poo! Anyway sorry, ramblin on, hope your all well this evening!

much love x

Antdamm Mon 30-Nov-09 11:18:23

Hello Ladies,

Where have you all gone????

Sorry, I have not been on in agggeesss. Our internet got cut off, for reasons completely unknown to us - so just been reconnected. On the plus side - they are giving us next month for free!

How is everyone? You must have all had busy weekends wink

Seany?
Bubble?
Kaylo?
Where are you guys hiding??

Jumble, how are you doing?

I have nothing to report as usual.....

Have been watching 16 & pregnant on MTV, has anyone else seen it?

Amazing really, I couldn't imagine being pregnant at 16. Although I was pregnant at 19, and managed to miss being a 'teen mum' by turning 20 lol smile

Hi everyone,

Sorry i've been away so long-we were moving house, so things have been a bit hectic!!

All sorted now thank goodness!!

How is everyone doing? Bet your glad you got the family tree finished Ant!

Antdamm Tue 01-Dec-09 09:29:33

Hey Seany,

Did you move far? (Did I already ask this??)
Are you all settled in?

How is the weather up your way? We had a really foggy mist that was here for the whole day on Saturday - it was terrible, couldn't see 2 foot in front of you. We decided not to venture out that day and just stayed in with the fire on in front of the telly smile

Have you any other news?

Hey Ant and everyone!

Didnt move too far Ant, over the other side of town, but still the same distance to work so no complaints from me grin.

No other news apart from to say i think the clomid has worked as i've been getting so much cm this month (sorry for tmi grin)

AF due next friday so i'll just have to wait and see.. work christmas dinner the day af is due,so no doubt she will rear her ugly face on time for a change!!!

How is everyone else today?

TejasGal Tue 01-Dec-09 14:09:36

Just wondering if I can join in too? I've been lurking for awhile trying to get up the nerve...

I'm TTC no.1 Cycle 2, CD21, UCL 35 (give or take) so you can sense that this evening might be a busy one in the Tejas house...! blush

Other facts: I have PCOS, was diagnosed about a year and a half ago and has been mainly under control through diet/exercise/metformin. I am in the process of doing a course of ultrasounds to determine whether I'm ovulating, and the results are promising so far...follicle has developed and now we're just waiting to see if the ovary releases it or it gets stuck but I'm having some encouraging pains in my left side at the moment.

I don't really talk about this too much in RL so looking forward to having an outlet. Good luck to all!!

welcome tejasgal,i wish you all the luck in the world. a good friend of mine is ttc with pcos and i know how tough it can be mentally, with all the tests etc

How are all you girlies today?

I havent been on much cause ive been trying to get the new house sorted.Nearly there now though smile

Its cd20 for me, and i am not symptom spotting or testing this month.i am officially chilling out for christmas grin

I am such a greedy gorb today! no matter what i eat im still hungry-just had a packet of weightwatchers crisps, some ben&gerrys cherry garcia frozen yoghurt and a third of a jar of pickled onions. im just realising how ridiculous it sounds that i had the ww crisps along with that,it was totally pointless lol

Ant sorry i totally blanked your Q yest about the weather up here-it is keeky bobo as usual, rain rain and more rain.didnt have any mist on saturday though-just as well coz we moved house that day lol A day in front of the tv does sound great though grin

Gigi26 Mon 07-Dec-09 00:56:16

Hello ladies,

Just wondering if I can join in too?

I'm pretty much ready to TTC but hesitating a bit. I'm 26, been married for 5 years and DH and I have discussed babies in detail recently and we're ready. BUT. I'm having a career change and doing a second masters at the moment. I want a baby but I think it would be career-suicide to get pregnant within the first year or two of working in a new industry. So I'm thinking of starting TTC now, while I'm still on the course so I can hopefully take my time out (it's not maternity leave if I haven't started...) before I technically start working again.

But then again, that's hoping to get very lucky and conceive pretty soon.

Any thoughts or advice would be great!

tiffanys Mon 07-Dec-09 21:30:28

Hi all

Can i join please? I am 24 and ttc#2. Dh and i were trying a few months ago but had to stop and have just started agin this month. I am also trying to lose some weight and get a bit fitter.

My stats are ttc#2 cycle 1 ucl 28 cd11

good luck to all

Antdamm Sun 13-Dec-09 16:07:03

Hello Ladies,

I see we have all dropped off here. I have been avoiding this thread on purpose - blush

What is everyone else's excuse??? smile

What have you all been up to? Any news?

My periods are still weird.

CD1 - AF arrives
CD14 - AF arrives
CD44 - AF arrives

iyswim - i'm having a period then I get a week 'off' then another comes on - then I get 23 days or so then another and so on.... this is technichally the 2nd month of this - as far as checking my calendar out for dates.

TejasGal Sun 13-Dec-09 16:36:17

I'm still checking the thread, but have no good news to report. Got AF with a vengeance this morning, and after I thought that some spotting yesterday was implantation bleeding. As it turns out, I have a short luteal phase, so I suppose that will be the next thing that I need to sort out with the docs. Hope everyone is having more luck than me...?

legallyblond Mon 14-Dec-09 10:11:59

Hello.... haven't been on for AGES!

Although we were supposed to officially begin TTC in January, that kinda went out of the window this weekend.. which was day 13 of my cycle.... hmmmm! Still, I think it was a little late as I am fairly sure I ovulated early this month, on day 11.

BUT.... I guess I am now officially (finally) TTC so can add stats!

TTC#1, cycle 1, UCL 28, CD 16.

Hope everyone else is well, although all seems v quiet...

Hiya everyone,

Ant have you been to see your doctor about the randomness of your cycles? It could be a hormone imbalace thats causing it-you should visit to put your mind at ease.

Well i am now officially on cycle 2 of clomid. I spotted from day 27 until 30, then started af late last nite. im meant to take it day 1-5 but it was too late to take it last nite so im taking it today instead.

H=ow is everyone else?

Forgot to say congrats and good luck legally blond-you must be so excited to be officially trying!!

Antdamm Wed 16-Dec-09 14:44:45

Hey Ladies,

Too busy Xmas shopping to come on this thread??? Or too busy with other things wink

Seany - Sorry to hear AF got you. How is the clomid going? Any side effects? Where do you spend your Xmas?

AF is due to rear her ugly head on the 18/19th - so that should be fun. At least I get a break over Xmas. Having said that, I have extremely sensitive nipples blush which DP thinks is amusing. Can't remember if I had this the last few months.... but I am not in any way symptom spotting.

Can't get an appointment with GP as they are overrun with folk who have the flu/cold/swine flu. Only free appointment is next week, but we will be back in Scotland by then.... so will just have to wait until after new year.

Anybody have ANY news?????

Need something to lift my spirits

Antdamm Thu 17-Dec-09 19:40:42

Echo, echo.......

Antdamm Fri 18-Dec-09 19:49:40

Heellllllllllllloooooooooooooooo!

Is there anybody out there?????

I'm getting a bit bored here on my own sad

mrsZaC Sat 19-Dec-09 12:47:10

hey ladies, sorry for my non-attendance, was getting fed up because I had no af and no bfp!

This morning, I'm not sure why, I tested and got a faint positive on a first response!!!!

I'm so confused as I have no idea when my cycle began, as I've not had AF since coming off the pill 2 months ago... thinking about going and getting a digital test and doing again tomorrow morning, or should i use the other 4 first response's that I have in the bathroom?? yikes!!!!!

Antdamm Mon 21-Dec-09 23:16:07

Woohoo congrats MrsZac

Have u tested since?

AF is late for me - was due on 18th and have had no signs of the arrival yet. Did do a test on Friday night (stupid, stupid I know) and it was neg.

Am thinking of retesting soon....

How about everyone else??

mrsZaC Tue 22-Dec-09 09:19:56

hey ant,

Yes I've tested since and got 1 much darker positive and a digital the following day with 'pregnant 1-2 weeks' grin

Fingers crossed for you, you never know grin best of luck!!!

I'm slowly getting more excited as it's not dawning on me that I might acutally be preggers! off to the doctors today, I'm not holding out any home they will be even remotely interested but thought I would go anyway

legallyblond Tue 22-Dec-09 11:31:53

Sorry sorry - I have hardly been on here! So busy what with work and Christmas...

I am on the 2ww.. due on 27 Dec and I am trying not to test until (more like, if) af is late.... it is proving easier said than done! Plus I am not drinking (although I may have a glass on Christmas day itself), just in case... also much easier said than done!

CONGRATS MrsZac!!! grin

x

congrats mrsZ!!! What a lovely christmas present smile

Ant how are you?Are you going to retest before christmas?

How is everyone else doing?

Ive just finished my second round of clomid, so i will be quite busy over christmas wink.

Is everyone all ready for santa coming?? grin

ant i just realised i posted a reply to your post the other day when you asked where i will spend christmas. I wrote a really long reply and for some reason it didnt go on [bottom lip pushed out in a sulk emoction]

Anyway i will be spending xmas day in dps parents house like we do every year, and boxing day i am going to attempt to make my own dinner lol better have the takeaway on speed dial just in case lol
I usually go to my mums on boxing day but my stepdad is working this year so the dinner was cancelled.
What are you doing for xmas?

legallyblond Mon 04-Jan-10 13:48:16

Happy New year! grin

Its jolly quiet here....

af got me on 23rd Dec, so I'm busy bd'ing as I'm on CD 13 and have a tendancy to ov early.

Anyone have any news....?

x

hi everyone!!

Happy new year!! Hope you all had a lovely christmas.

Legally sorry to hear af came. Fingers crossed for this month!!

im on cd24, so if afs gonna make an appearance i should start spotting any time from saturday.

im very nervous cause if af comes i have to start my last round of clomid. They only gave me a 3 month supply and the consultant doesnt want to see me again until 3 months after i finish the last round sad, so will be april before i get any more progress.

hi ladies, can i join u!!

iam 26 and have a daughter 2 and 3 months,

have a litte weekend away planned at end of month, then hoping to conceive after that (as would b nice to drink etc and dont want to chance trying b4 as feel very quick with first!)

of couse each time is diff. really hoping to fall quick same as last time, exciting thought.

are any of u on no.2 + ?

Luce2006 Sat 09-Jan-10 20:40:48

Hi there! do you mind me joining you? I"m 28 and have a little boy who's 3 1/2.
I've finally convince DP to TTC our second baby!!!! grin
Very happy about that!!!
Was hoping to have a romantic dinner tonight follow by some baby dancing but he told me very late that he was going out for dinner with some friends who are going to fliy bak to NZ very soon...so I had to have dinner aone sad and because I had the bottle of rose we were supposed to share, I'll be fast asleep by the time he comes back home and won't be in the mood!!!
Hopefully tomorrow night things will go better!

Hiya everyone.

Welcome Luce and Sophie and good luck!!!!!

Yes sophie im ttc #2 as well. Im 24 and have been trying since May 2008, so we've had a bit of a tough time to be honest. Im on my last round of 50mg clomid at the at minute so everything is crossed that it works this month. our ds is 2 years 4 mths and we'd really love a little brother or sister for him.

How is everyone else doing? Does anyone have any good news to cheer me up???

o good luck seanybosmummy,

my friend took that and was sucessful so fingers crossed, did you also take it to help your pregnancy?

i have heard mixed reviews on the side effects hope your not suffering to much!

where has everyone gone?????????????

Thanks sophie-its always good to hear success stories smile Hows things with you?

This month is the first i have had any side effects from the clomid (the 1st 2 rounds were fine). For some strange reason it has made my af this month really light and short, and i have slightly sore boobs and an uncomfortable feeling in my pelvis, nothing too drastic!
I really really hope it works this month cause i dont see the consultant again until April.
I fell pg naturally with ds on 5th month of trying.

How is everyone else doing?

Weevie Wed 13-Jan-10 22:36:32

Hi,
My husband and I have decided to try for a baby, im new to mumsnet and was hoping to join your thread?
Hope your all ok!

legallyblond Thu 14-Jan-10 14:18:30

Hi all

I'm on the dreaded 2ww again....

Should we start putting up stats again now the thread has become a bit more active (hooray!)? I'll kick off:

legallyblond TTC#1 ucl 28 cd22

I am not too hopeful this months for 2 reasons... had v lttle (or none!) EWCM this month, which is really odd for me, and missed doing the deed on cd 13,14 and 15....

x x

legallyblond Thu 14-Jan-10 14:38:15

So dumb! I put in my own stats wrong!

legallyblond TTC#1 ucl 28 cd23

One less day than I thought to wait I guess...

FourArms Thu 14-Jan-10 17:42:13

Hia legallyblonde and welcome to MN Weevie. Check out the acronyms list to work out all the strange code people use on here. wink Good luck to you both.

I'll continue with the stats:

legallyblond TTC#1 ucl 28 cd23
seanybosmummy TTC#2 ucl 28-30 cd7 (cycle 3 with clomid) cycle 20 altogether

Welcome to all the newbies and good luck to us all.

legallyblond TTC#1 ucl 28 cd25
seanybosmummy TTC#2 ucl 28-30 cd7 (cycle 3 with clomid) cycle 20 altogether

Eadwacer Sat 16-Jan-10 11:08:17

MORNING! Er, I am a month to old to be on here blush and promise I will grow up and depart in a minute - but I've just spent 10 minutes reading the thread and got carried away!

I want to work out how to do this stats thing, but I can't work out what the last but (ie CD7) means? I thought it must mean 'cycle day', but unless someone has a 93 day cycle, that can't be right. Is UCL 'Usual Cycle Length'?

Sorry, you must get fed up with being asked all this stuff!

Hiya eadwacer!!
yes cd does mean cycle day-god some poor soul is on cd93,how miserable must she be,the poor woman!!

Dont worry about being too old lol we wont kick you off,the more the merrier grin

gonna update stats:

Can I join? I like the idea of 'no one gets left behind!'

This is my second month of ttc... and am about to take an ovulation test in a second as think todays the day!!

Finding myself a complete monster to poor DH though.. absolutely screeched at him this morning for having a hot bath... eek!

Been reading the whole thread... it gets very exciting and is a bit of a rollercoaster isn't it!? x

Good morning everyone!!!

Welcome to the madhouse anything, and best of luck to you!!

Where has everyone gone to????????

Well i think the clomid has finally worked this month, as i got my first ever +ve ov test yesterday!!! i have never had 1 in all the many months of ttc! I got so excited that i rang my best friend and my dp while i was still sitting on the loo to share the news lol blush

needless to say dp+i have a very busy wkend ahead of us wink

my bf said oooh you'll have to get ds to bed early, and i told her hed be going to bed at 6.30 and he can watch as many dvds as he wants lol

I didnt actually put the poor child to bed at that time,he went up quite late and then proceeded to carry on for about an hour and a half before he finally settled down and went to sleep, at which point i was almost ready for going to sleep myself lol

How is everyone else getting on? anything did you get your +ve ov test?

oh forgot to ask legally any news??

legallyblond Sun 24-Jan-10 16:07:53

Yes... I have some news! I finally did a test this morning (a clearblue digital) because af was 4 days late (unheard of) and it said "pregant - 2-3 weeks"! BFP!!!!! Still in very happy, slightly emotional shock... although its early days of course...

legallyblond Sun 24-Jan-10 16:09:35

oh and, seanybo, I hope you're enjoying your "busy" weekend!

OMG legally congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sooooooooooooo pleased for you!!! I cant believe you managed to restrain yourself for 4 days!!

As for my stats... I think they're:

Hello Ladies,

Sorry for abandoning all of you. RL got in the way (i hate it when that happens)

DP and I decided to take a break over Xmas. Or rather, not to think about it all over the festive period.

We had a fantastic Xmas, then we came home - unpacked. Repacked and went to Tenerife for 2weeks. [smug]

So, just getting back to normal now...

AF was due on, on my hol (lucky me) she was there for a day or two, but a lot lighter than ever. Then disappeared altogether, no clue as to why that may have been.

Going to get a Docs appointment asap. Will just have to wait til next one arrives now....

Massive CONGRATS to Legally!!!!

Hello to all newcomers - I hope your time here is short.

How is everyone doing???

I wouldn't be too keen on taking a new car out for a test drive. Hope you had fun doing that!

Hi everyone!

For some reason this thread keeps dissapearing from 'threads i'm on' and I have to find it again!

After symptom spotting like a mad woman last month and literally coming up with a BFN, I swore not to this month, but can't help feeling i'm sooooo nauseous!! When my car collects me in the morning I have to open the window for gulps of air or I would literally throw up...Only eating like a pig helps me...

It probably means nothing but I really really hope it does... its probably too early though!

AF due on sunday... please please stay away!!

Hows everyone else? Legally.. told anyone?! Anyone else testing this weekend?

Feel free to change/update.

News from me - I have been feeling rough for the last couple of days. Feeling queasy and unable to eat anything for fear of puking, DP thinks that maybe im PG lol. He thinks that my non-arrival(sort of) of AF on holiday was the proof. I am not convinced, i just think I have a bug.

I think I am due around Valentine's Day (oh the joy) so if she hasn't shown up til then - will do a test.

How is everyone else?

This thread keeps disappearing from my 'threads I'm on' too - wonder what is going on there???

anythingwithagiraffeonit Thu 04-Feb-10 15:22:38

Thanks for updating!

I'm feeling really nauseous too, but could also just be a bug

AF is due on Sunday and been having period like twinges all day today, which is wierd as usually I only get them the day before.

Don't know if I should rush home and test and risk tears or wait till Sunday and.... Um.... Tears :p

One of the presenters on my show is hugely pregnant right now, and another gave birth on Saturday... I want to be happy for them but I can't ;) x

sparechange Thu 04-Feb-10 15:49:15

hello ladies
good to see the thread still going and congrats to the graduates...

Here's to some more good news in 2010...

Antdamm Thu 04-Feb-10 17:19:01

giraffe - hopefully you didn't run home and test!! (wagging finger) as well you know, its toooooo early to test, and it would be a waste of a test!

Seriously though, hold out and test when you are due/late - you will feel better for restraining (that's what I'm telling myself anyway)

However I was this close (put thumb and index finger together) to going into town and buy a test. Thankfully the weather was terrible and I just couldn't face it.

Sparechange - nice to hear from you! How are things with you? Good I hope smile

Antdamm Fri 05-Feb-10 09:31:12

Nice to see you Kaloki smile

Where is everyone else???
What's going on?

I still feel sick - so that has been 4 days of queasiness, although i am still maintaining that I have a bug of sorts. I don't know what to think really, if the last AF (on holiday) only lasted a day or two and there wasn't much to itblush then I suppose it could have been implantation or the body getting rid of the old stuff?? And the reason for my queasiness is because im PG. OR I could just be going quietly mental for even suggesting such a thing.....hmm

I need people to come on and tell me I am talking nonsense!!

Ur stats for today - who knows if they are even remotely correct smile

I went to the pound shop this week (actually, it isn't even a pound shop, it is a 99p shop. Oh the glamour!) and they have stopped selling the packs of 3 strip tests

I'm distraught! What am I going to do now if I can't test twice a week between ov'ing and AF turning up?!? I'll have to grow some patience, or something confused

I think I'm due on the 16th, so I'm going to cross everything for both of us until then
The temptation to not test on the 14th for a little extra valentines present for DH will be huge, I imagine!
Maybe I could treat myself to an early first response as a joint present for us grin

Well girlies i can safety assume the clomid failed this month again, as i started spotting on wednesday and af arrived yesterday. i am devastated.that was my last dose..consultant doesnt want to see me again til april so i have a docs apt for tuesday afternoon to see if i can beg him into getting me an earlier apt with the consultant.

God im getting so bitter about it all and i am surrounded in rl by pg women.

1 sil just had a baby at xmas, 2 other sil's are preg, my friend had her 3rd baby 3 weeks ago,and my bf is 3 mths preg with her 1st. im slightly jealous about them all apart from my bf who im nothing but ecstatic for because she has lost 2 babies in the past year and has been going through a really tough time.

Anyway just needed to get all that off my chest. Sorry for the novel i just submitted you all to blush

Hello, I was wondering if I could join in? I have been TTC since last October, got a BFP only to find out it was ectopic and had to receive methotrexate treatment for the pregnancy. Am now CD26.

Have been feeling pretty tired and sick lately and have been having weird twinges up inside, near my cervix (TMI I know!). Hoping this is implantation pains. I have also had light, pink spotting today which may be AF coming to rear her ugly head 2 days early... sad.

How is everyone else doing, I am really hoping to get a BFP when I test this weekend... But if not then onto cycle 4.... WOO!!! lol

lucielooo Wed 10-Feb-10 23:28:48

Haven't caught up with this thread for a while so only just seen your news but..

Giraffe Congratulations!!! Have you phoned your mum yet ;)

Seanybosmummy sorry to hear that this month hasn't worked. It must be tough seeing all your friends pregnant or with babies. So far none of my friends that I see regularly have children though there are four of us in my office who are all at the same stage in life/their relationships and are all TTC so for who and when that starts happening there might be a bit of weird feeling.

Sorry about the BFN Ant whats your usual cycle length? Maybe it's a bit early still?

Harmony Really sorry to hear your MC.. will be keeping my fingers crossed for a BFP for you this month

harmonyb23 Thu 11-Feb-10 13:12:41

Thanks Lucieloo, but I'm feeling it might not be a positive this month sad. Have had bleeding since yesterday so think AF is here... Oh well, try again this cycle I guess smile.

How's everyone else doing? x x x

Antdamm Fri 12-Feb-10 10:42:54

Hello ladies,

Welcome Harmony - sorry to hear about your MC sad Hopefully you will get a sticky bean soon smile If you would be so kind as to add your stats to the list, thanks.

How is everyone else?? Where are you hiding? grin

I have nothing to report - I stopped feeling queasy, but don't quite feel right iyswim, which probably just means I am getting over the bug I had that was making me feel like I was PG sad. I don't really feel as if AF is on her way [hopeful emoticon] But she could just be delayed because I really did have a bug. I feel as though I am going around in circles....

Have updated for today.

hi everyone,

Well just had a very strange encounter-i was on cd11 yesterday and then my af came again!!! eh???? so now seems i am on cd2 again for the second time in under 2 weeks.. wtf is going on?? Im soooooooo confused!!

has any1 else ever experienced this?

Antdamm Tue 16-Feb-10 13:59:01

Hey Seany

I had something similar for a couple of months. My AF would disappear for a few days then reappear, it was about the same time I tried agnus cactus. It only lasted a few months, then returned to normal. I also had it recently, where I would get a visit every two weeks, but that only lasted a couple of months also.

Are you planning to go to the Docs?
Hope it returns to normal for you.

Hey ant, this is the first time it has ever happened to me,and also my cycle was only 26 days last month.

I was at the doc last week to see if he can get me a sooner apt for the consultant i saw in october.he rang the hosp and they said they can get me in roughly the 5th march,so im hust waiting on a letter coming.

its bloody awful all this confusion!!

SparrowGirl Tue 16-Feb-10 18:44:42

Hello!
Can I come and join your group. I had my merina out in the new year to ttc but no luck yet. AF came yesterday morning with a vengence. I really had forgotten how heavy my periods are as I haven't really had a proper one for 4 years because of the merina and briefly worried I might be bleeding to death in rather a melodramatic fashion...Sorry this is way TMI!! blush

I shall swiftly move on...Anyway...my stats are:
SparrowGirl ttc#1 cycle 2 CD2

Thank You smile

Antdamm Wed 17-Feb-10 19:38:40

Welcome Sparrowgirl. Sorry but I laughed at your melodramaticness(i doubt that is a word). Hope they ease off a bit, or even better - disappear altogether for nine(ish) months wink

Have added you to the list.

Hey Sparrowgirl,

My periods were the same when I had my implant removed. I had been on the pill for about 5 years and had the implant for 1. It is surprising how heavy your periods are the first few times when you are used to having none at all! I thought the hormones from all the contraceptives I had been taking would stop me getting pregnant but I conceived in the second month of trying [granted it turned out to be ectopic, but that's just bad luck!]. So you could find yourself getting pregnant very quickly, fingers crossed! I am in cycle 3 after my M/C and have had no luck as of yet, but I figure it'll happen when it happens. Good-luck to you, and everyone else, this month! x x x

robbieswife Thu 18-Feb-10 10:22:39

Hi girls

Well first let me fess up, I'm not strictly in my 20s, I turned 30 in November but I dont really feel 30 so here I am.

Have been ttc for the last 6 months but its complicated because I have thyroid problems and I'm begining to lose all hope. To make things worse everyone around me seems to be falling pregnant at the drop of a hat. I'd love to become a member as I could really do with the support and advice.

LittleSilver Thu 18-Feb-10 19:51:45

Can I join? Cycle 1, CD5, UCL 32 ish ttc #4

Hi everyone and welcome and good luck to the newbies smile

Well it appears that the bleeding i had last week was not af,as it only lasted for one day.Im now on cd18 and im having another bleed confused

I have an apt with my gynae consultant next friday and am hoping he will be able to give me some answers, but in the meantime i remain very very confused about the whole situation.

Anyway,how is everyone else doing?

SparrowGirl Mon 22-Feb-10 17:23:56

Hi everyone! Thanks Antdamn and Harmony. Its nice to know its not just me Harmony. I am holding out hope that I won't have to have any more...or at least not to many. Lots of luck to you as well and hope it works out this time xx

I am suddenly hearing about loads of people getting pregnant at the moment by accident! I know I've only been trying for a month so shouldn't be bitter yet but still...it hardly seems fair when they aren't even making an effort. Hurrumph. envy

Dinkytinky Mon 01-Mar-10 20:23:27

Hi everybody! Please can I join too?! It's my very first day on mumsnet and I need a place to call my home,I'm 24 and cycle1cd12, let me know if that doesn't make sense,I'm still getting used to all the acronyms. Wish me luck tonight ;-) xxx

harmonyb23 Mon 08-Mar-10 10:30:11

Hey everyone, well I am CD27 now and there is no sign of AF yet. I had some cramping last Friday (CD24, 9DPO) which lasted about 30 mins and then went away, I am hoping that was implantation cramping.

I am waiting to test this week but am determined to wait until I have missed my period as I find it less disappointing if AF appears than getting a BFN. I am really hoping that I am PG this month. One question; I have had a thick, white mucous discharge the last couple of days, it is internal and seems to be covering my cervix (TMI I know!) does anyone know what this could be? I have not had it before. It is odorless and quite tacky.

How's everyone else doing anyway?

Dinkytinky Mon 08-Mar-10 17:53:58

Hi harmony! That sounds like ewcm to me-usually a good thing! I know wt you mean about the cramping thing-I've had that when I was 4 weeks gone, like a twinge cramp? Sadly I mc'd (absolutely nothing to do with cramps done worry) doctor said sometimes crampy feeling is uterus streching, good luck Hun! I'm on the two week wait at the moment, fingers crossed though xxx

harmonyb23 Tue 09-Mar-10 10:09:32

Thanks Dinky, turns out it was a good sign. Got a BFP today, just hoping it doesn't turn out ectopic like last time! Good luck everyone else! x x x

harmonyb23 Mon 15-Mar-10 15:08:27

AAAAAHHHH!! Just been to the Doctors to send my details off to the midwife and stuff and have been told that due to having an ectopic back in November 2009 I will have to have a scan tomorrow to determine whether this pregnancy is ectopic or not. I am soooo nervous and worried that this pregnancy will be ectopic too... Will the embryo even show up on a scan at just 5 weeks?

I suppose it is good in a way as it will mean if it is ectopic it has been caught early, and if it isn't I can actually stop worrying and enjoy this pregnancy... Wish me luck ladies!!!

SparrowGirl Mon 15-Mar-10 18:12:36

Good Luck Harmony!! I'm sure it will fine, and as you say it's better to know early then be worrying unnecessarily.

Let us know how it goes.

I've decided that this month I'm going to have a go at being organised as I am fed up of having periods. They are rubbish! So have got a load of ov tests and am all ready and waiting to check out my cm. Exciting stuff..I think hmm
