hi,
i am plotting for a 3rd baby (husband is in on it!!) but seem to be having periods all the time at the moment. i have previosuly had a 28 day cycle, but the period between my last 2 periods was only 21 days? what does this mean? could it be the start of the dreaded m word? my mother experienced the meno at 43, i turn 40 (boohoohoo) next month. does anyone have any idea if shortening cycle is an indicator that it's beginning??? (please say it isn't)

Not sure if it's a sign or not.
When trying for DS1 my cycle was 28 days and fell within 3 months.
This time round cycle was 21-22 days and fell within 3 months again.

it can definitely be a sign, especially if your mother menopaused rather early.

get down to your GP first thing.

She can do a blood test to see if you're perimenopausal or even menopausal.

it might be! but you won't know till you get it checked out. it's better to know. it's not impossible to fall pregnant whilst perimenopausal, after all .
