hi darydork! I had implanon removed 15th may 2008 (i never bled once while having it in!) had a withdrawl bleed for 5 days starting 19th may. My partner has low sperm count, but despite this i was pregnant by the end of June 2008 and now have a gorgeous 5 month old boy!!!

Hope you have the same luck!

It took a couple of months for my system to get back to normal after the completely unpredicatable periods I had with Implanon. But I got my PBF within 3 months! It might be worth doing a test if you have sore boobs etc.

It was over 2 years ago now, but I seem to remember that things settled down pretty quickly once the implant was out.

thanks for your replies that encouraging to hear, congrats EMMA2617

AnnieLobeseder, can you remember if you ever felt like you were going to get AF but didnt in the couple of mths before your system settled down? Am wondering if cramps & tender boobs etc is normal after removal & its maybe just my hormones readusting... Sorry i tend to get a bit obsessed when i get something into my head

Got a BFN saturday, will wait a few more days & test again i guess.

IbbleObble They say it can take up to 2 years for your cycles to return to normal after implant removal. Once your cycles have returned to normal is when your TTC time technically begins (in the eyes of the modical profession) and they would expect the vast majority of couple to conceive successfully within 12 months! So if your cycle was normal straight after removal then 6 months with no joy is still considered normal!

Always had regular periods but when I had implant in for 4 years I rarely had any bleeding/period.
Me and partner decided to try for a baby so I got my implant taken out on 31st March 2014 and my periods went back to normal within a month, I got pregnant about 9 weeks later (conceived on 7th June 2014 to be precise).
What helped for me getting pregnant was having sex around 14 days after my last period (so my last period was around 23rd May 2014).
Now me and my partner have a beautiful 1 year old daughter who was born on 23rd March 2015! We are now trying for another baby.

I had my implant removed in December 2015, went straight back to a regular 27 day cycle and actually just found out we are pregnant- 2 months before trying to actively TTC. Scary but great!

I had implant in for full 3 years before ttc#2. Had no periods on it then when removed had random periods for 3 months before I fell pregnant.

Have implant in again for about year and a half.. Had loads of bleeding at the start but now have regular as clockwork periods on it. Getting it removed next week ttc#3 and I'm wondering if my regular periods will remain!

I had the implant out two years ago.My periods came back right away, but they have been all different lengths, and periods are horrendously heavy. No luck TTC in all that time, but I imagine that is down to other issues
