best time of day to do ovulation tests?

Is it the same as pregnancy tests? first thing or should it be a different time of day?

Apparently it's around midday as long as you don't drink too much during the morning.

I do them late afternoon or even last thing at night. I have heard that the LH can be produced during the day so first thing is not necessarily the best time.
