thanks lottie.
You can't reliably look at your temperature later in the day because it's the basal temperature (ie. before moving out of bed) which is relevant.

How much did you have to drink? I ask because when I was temping I found that drinking a bit (maybe 1-2 glasses) didn't affect my temperature the next day, but if I woke up with a hangover then it most definitely did! From the sounds of those temps the booze may well have slightly affected it - with my temps it would take a couple of days post-ovulation for the temp to rise significantly.

I wouldn't worry too much about it though - charting is great but the first cycle is always a bit of a test because you're not sure what your 'usual' pattern is yet.

CD14. Think ovulation was yesterday although first month of charting so not sure.

I drank last night. temp since AF has been hovering between 36.2 and 36.4. This morning was 36.8...however, could that have been the booze? 3 hours later it was at 36.5.

Any thoughts on this. I thought that basal temp went up as the day went on not down? which makes me think it might have been the booze rather than ovulation (although a spike today would fit).

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
