weird spotting before periods - any one got any advice?

Hello. First time on this board. I am trying to find someone who may have experienced something similar to me as it is driving me mad. Have been ttc for 5 months now. Normally when not ttc period starts with mid to haevy bleed straight away. But every month since trying to conceive I have been spotting for 2 to 3 days first with basically brown gunk! 2nd time ttc this stopped and I took a test which was HPT. But got my period a couple of days later. I am going mad wondering if all 5 times of trying a fertilized egg is just failing to implant and if so is there anything I can do about it. Or what else could explain the weird starts to my periods since ttc or is this just a coincidence. I went to the doctor but predictably she said come back after anothter 6 months. Thanks for any advice!

I don't know the reason for your spotting but just wanted to say that this is happening to me too.

I have been TTC for 10 months now. Like you before TTC my periods always started heavily straight away, but now I have spotting for a day or two beforehand.

I thought it was just a coincidence too - but maybe not if it's happening to other people. I wonder what it could be?

I don't know what this is but I have the same thing. Last few months got a day or two of spotting before period arrived, this month have been spotting now for 7 days, AF is due sometime in the next few days. If all does not seem right by Friday I'll probably pop along to see Dr. Sorry you've got the same thing, but it's good to know I'm not alone.
