Hi am in a total stress as there is a tiny line I think - more at the top - but I can see it if I hold it up to the light. Is this it?!!? Need to have ten million people check it. We are at a garden party and popped home for dd's nap and couldn't resist test. Wish it was first wee now!!!Aargh!!!! Dragged dh home and he says he thinks it is but do I believe him?

Ooooooooh!!!

Thats incredibly exciting!

A line is a line, there wouldn't be any hint of a line if was no pregnancy hormone there.

CONGRATULATIONS

If you're still unsure, do another test?

A false positive is virtually unheard of however a false negative is more common. HTH.

My nearly invisible line is now my 8mth old DS too and the negative result I got from the expensive digital one was sooo wrong.

Oh pants Was it a sensitive test? How overdue are you?

Report
ccpink · 01/06/2009 12:44

hi sam - it was a clearblue so I guess sensitive - though did say best to do first wee. The first one I did was a sainsburys though. Last month I had a 31 day cycle so only one day late but late!

Well there is still hope, it is unusual to get a false positive. I would wait a couple of days and test again if your period hasn't arrived with maybe a digital one or a first response. (actually what I would actually do is buy another test, probably test tonight and again tomorrow morning because I have absolutely NO patience, but in reality that isn't what you should do )

Oh and put the test on top of your loo so you make sure you get the first wee next time .

Hope you do get a positive, if you don't then just think another month off morning sickness and you and dh can have fun practising for next month

Thanks you two - I was torn in the shop between clear blue and first response and now regret my decision. I will hold out til tommorow. Sam - I am just like you - did a cheapo one too - just to check!!!Both negative. Will do first wee it's just that with it being Sunday I couldn't get one and I couldn't get to the shop without wee'ing!!!
You guys keep me smiling.

I bought a clearblue and it gave me a wrong result even though it said it can give a result before your period is due. It was the cheaper Boots own brand that gave me the correct result. So just be aware!

Any news today cc? I'm guessing if it had been a BFP you would have been on here. Hope you are ok.

I like your vibe breastmilk but neg again this morning. Still no af though?!?! God knows - booked to see the doc fri as don't know what else to do. Belly is hard and bloated, boobs are hurting and knackered so maybe the witch is on her way but wish she would just hurry up. This is day 33 for god's sake - she must have been held up?!?!?

Weird. I think docs is a good idea, maybe they can put your mind at rest if nothing else and they might do a test too which will save you ÂŁ9 Good luck (and report back!)
