I am 38 next month and have dd1 3, dd2 20mths and I am really broody. I haven't felt this way since concieving dd2. At present AF is here and I still feel broody, is this normal for that time of the month or should we ttc.

Also would love any thoughts on going from 2 to 3, Thanks.

well I know I would struggle to have 3 under the age of 5 but plenty on here have done it and say it was worth it!

Hi, like you I have 2 children under 5 and I have AF at the mo but will be ttc#3 as soon as AF have gone! I know its going to be hard at times as it is with just 2 children but I think it will be definately worth it, hopefully you have a supportive DH/P? Ithnk after having 2 children aleady we are a bit of a dab hand at this now! Ive been told by people with 3 DC to try to stick to a routine. Good Luck!

What does your partner think?

If you want another baby then go for it. It's a ridiculous modern social rule that everyone has to have two children IMO!

Dh is I think easily leaned on . We had a bad 18mths with dd so I think that has taken a long while to get better !!

I have a friend who had 3 i just under 4 years. Number 3 was a complete surprise and is now 5 months. I thinks she looks better than after number 2. She says te youngest just fits in. He has to!
We also want three children (unfourtunately have just mc what would have been our third in 5 years). I say go for it because it's hell trying to argue with feeling broody and remember it doesn't get harder or easier - just different and none of it lasts forever
