Anyone had any early signs of pregancy, ie from as early as the date of conception up to missed period....?

Yes Flippa. This may seem strange but at the moment of conception with my dd1 it felt like a huge burst of energy going all around my body.Im trying to explain it as best as I can. The same happened with dd2,dd3. I never got this feeling with my sons though. It was really weird.

Not me - but a friend of mine said that she knew she had conceived because the next day her boobs were incredibly itchy!!! This went on until she was 3 months gone.

yeah peeing alot almost strait after conception and just feeling different I can't explain it.Like an inner peace.Boobs started to ache about 10 days after conception too. there is an early test that you can get at Boots now thay you can do 3 days before period is due.What symptoms have you had then?

I had lower abdominal pain and nausea before my period was due, even though according to all the books, 'experts' this is not usual. Now I am 5.5 weeks and feel fine!

Well might just be wishful thinking but have a strange taste in my mouth and have tummy ache. Am also feeling like I might be getting a runny nose. With DS I didn't realise I was pregnant till 12 weeks so wasn't really aware of early signs - or put them down to something else like being run down at work.

Have also had headaches over the weekend. Have had long irregular period so difficult to read anything into the various signs...but should have ovulated over the weekend, I think.

I just felt different from the day after conception. Within about 5-6days I had a horrid taste in my mouth and my boobies felt abit tender. I would have been more surprised at a negative result than the positive I got. I'm now 16 weeks.

well my signs might have been complicated by taking cyclogest (progesterone) after IVF treatment, but I think the earliest I felt a bit odd was one week post embryo transfer (8 days after fertilisation). Slight nausea/odd taste sensation and needing to pee frequently (but small amounts) were the main signs. I also had some quite bad period like cramps a couple of days before, which I now wonder may have been implantation.

you can buy first response tests from any chemists,you can test with these three days before your periods due.theyre about 6.99 for 1 test,i bought one yesterday,very easy to use and very quickresults,supposed to be within three minutes ,mine was immediate!!bit of a shock to be pregnant again!!!

With dd my boobs were very sore about 10 days after conception. Sickness didn't kick in until a couple of weeks later. I'm now 10 days after trying during my most fertile days and boobs don't hurt but I nearly chucked up after taking a mouthful of tuna steak tonight. Usually love it and at first thought it was off but dh said it was lovely! Mind you, I did all this last month and was even 6 days late but didn't FEEL preggers. Feel very hormonal though, and slightly twingey in the womb dept. I wonder......
Can some more people post their early symptoms, please?!

For me it was sore boobs ... about 3 or 4 days before I was due on. No funny tastes or anything ...
I have got sore boobs now and I am due on Thursday ... so maybe baby
When you say twingey in the womb dept, Moomin, what do you mean?

Ghosty - just a bit sore, like a mini-period pain that doesn't last very long, on and off over the last 2-3 days. Not in the ovary area, though, it's more central. I can't quite say it's anything definite but it feels like there's SOMETHING going on down there, IYKWIM! Definitely felt very hormonal today but keep telling myself it's probably PMT. Due on on the 27th.

Yup ... I am trying Moomin ... have been since January so fingers crossed!! When my boobs hurt I keep telling myself that I am imagining it ... I get twinges down below too ... but not like a period ... more like a pulling ...
I soooo want to be pg that at the moment as Thursday approaches it is all I can think about. Good luck to you to BTW ...

If I were you I'd be taking the test today! Is it the 1st Response ones that can tell 3 days before your period? If I had sore boobs again I'd be convinced I was pg. I can't imagine being pg without that symptom so part of me thinks that I can't be this month, even though several people have told me that their symptoms varied between pgs. IKWYM about thinking about nothing else. I REALLY hope you get what you want this month!

I don't think I can do the early response thing ... the disappointment would be too great if I am not! My cycle is normally as regular as clockwork ... and the sure sign for me is a late period ... so that is why Thursday is D Day for me!
Mind you since my M/C I my cycle has been somewhat shorter and if that is the case, I am actually late now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the classic implantion bleed after we conceived. However, I still didn't realise I was pg, until a week before I was due on (which was due 5th day of my honeynoon... ahem) but just had a feeling things felt different - I felt bloated, interestingly my boobs were always sore before before my period and they weren't at that time, and I had to use the loo all the time!! The day I came back from honeymoon, I did a test and lo - DD nine months later

Agree about the disappointment factor. I bought 3 pg tests (buy 2 get 1 free at Boots!) and when I was late last month I took one when I thought I should be coming on, which was neg so promised I'd not test again until I had very clear symptoms. Needless to say, took the other 2 within 3 days, all neg, and then was really annoyed at myself for hyping myself up so much. I think my body was playing tricks on me as I was very late last month. No sore boobs, though ... I should have known better.

Let us know what happens Thurs - either to share good news or get moral support if not....

Oooh ... forgot to mention ... I usually love garlic ... except when I am pregnant ... and I just ate some garlic bread and it was YUK YUK YUK!
