I need people to stop me getting hopeful .

Background...I usually have 30/31 day cycle, saw the ov. dip and rise on days 18 and 19. Luteal phase is usually 12 days.

Temps have been:
35.95 (day 18)
36.24 (day 19)
36.31 (day 20)
36.28 (day 21)
36.38 (day 22)
36.50 (day 23)
36.88 (day 24)
36.97 (day 25)
37.07 (day 26)

The only time that I've seen such high temps was when I conceived ds. My 3 subsequent (and mc'd) pregnancies never got this high.

BUT...
I've got a fabulous head cold and I'm sleeping really badly. In fact the whole month's chart has got 'disturbed sleep' scribbled all over it .

I can't bear the hope, knowing in my heart that it's probably because of the head cold. I've checked my waking temps against these and they're lower rather than higher as I might have expected. Thanks for bearing with me, what I need is a slap and some stern words - please?

Any of our temping experts about today?

...Or have I crossed the line into self-indulgent waffling ?

OK yep you need to have stern words, the temps mean that you have disturbed sleep and being ill going on! I hope that is stern enough for you. {GRIN}
Anyway just wanted to ask what you mean about checking waking temps - aren't these temps waking temps????

Thank you .

Sorry, by 'waking temps' I mean temps taken when I've been up and about for a bit. Usually they are higher, but are mostly lower at the moment than my basal temp.

Bless him, poor DH got all excited when he saw this months chart .

Thanks for the sane advice (optimistic and realistic), I know that I can always count on you ladies . This is the deal with the temps...

I usually have 30/31 day cycle, saw the ov. dip and rise on days 18 and 19. Luteal phase is usually 12 days.

Temps have been:
35.95 (day 18) - pre ov. dip and +ve ov. test
36.24 (day 19)
36.31 (day 20)
36.28 (day 21)
36.38 (day 22)
36.50 (day 23) - day 1 of cold
36.88 (day 24)
36.97 (day 25)
37.07 (day 26) - today and still feeling 'orrible

Looking at it like that, I've seen the big temps when the cold started kicking in. I don't feel pregnant either, so I think that I'll have to start to accept it.

I'm so fed up with this ttc lark .
