Hi

I have just been referred to the assisted concepiton unit at Hartlepool. I have to wait for an appointment with Dr Mustafa. The doctor I was speaking to you yesterday said the waiting list is not that long for Hartlepool?!

has anyone recently been referred to hartlepool or have any info for me please??

thanks x

Sorry, I don't know much about the Hartlepool unit other than it has just had a load of investment into it and relaunched as it were.

I went to James Cook under Mr Mustafa - is that who you are waiting to see? I have to say that he is lovely and v. good as is the rest of the team, nursin staff and embryologists.

Hi Vix-

Have you tried calling the clinic direct as they will be able to give you the latest info? That is what I did last summer when I moved north from Essex, and needed to find a new clinic up here. I ended up calling about 5 or 6 clinics and they were all really helpful with info about waiting times to see the consultant and then to start treatment.

hi hopeforbundleofjoy course we dont mind u joining in!! I live in norton too ha ha small world!!

I was with dr wild at north tees , he is lovely. i was given clomid for 6 months and finished last month. I then went to see dr wild at n tees last tues and he has referred me to hartlepool.
i rang hartlepool yesterday and they said it should only be a couple of weeks before i get my appointment and the waiting list for ivf is only 6 - 7 months woo hoo!! Not sure if they will go straight to ivf or try iui first?!

I feel exactly the same i am desperate for my own little baba and feel like its never gonna happen!!

If you dont mind me asking, why did they prescribe you clomid, and how old are you??

I am 27 , ha ha imagine if we know each other!!

IUI is assisted insemination. I think it's less invasive that IVF and cheaper for the nhs to try that first. The success rates are much lower though I thin. There's a link below which explains in full detail!!
www.womens-health.co.uk/pros-and-cons.html
I dont know much about pcos, but at least you are looking into it all now whilst you're young. (even though everyone probably says that to you!! ) and im sure you will get there soon.

Good Luck hun xx
