TTC after 2 MC - we were taking some time off but I just want to get on with it! Am I mad?

I had two MMC (Sept and Dec) and had last ERPC on NY Day. DH and me originally planned taking 6 months off but that was shortened to 3 months following my appointment with Consultant last week.

We had long discussion about undergoing tests but following his advice that it was just 'bad luck' he advised we try again when I was ready and to start taking asprin (which I am).

AF returned last week and I am due to OV (if I do this month) at the weekend.

I'm 37 and just feel that every month counts (I already have DS who will be 3 in summer). I know some people need time to grieve and heal but after initial devastation, my way of healing is to move forward and fall pg. I know it will be weeks of knicker checking and paranoia and I may end up mc again but I just have an overwhelming longing to get on with it!

Am I mad?

No I had a late MC last week and I don't think I can wait for my consultant's appointment before TTC and I don't care what anyone else says / thinks about my mental or physical recovery. I think if you feel ready you should go for it. Fingers crossed for you.

No, not at all. I had 3 mcs and all I could think of was getting on and getting pg again.

Yes just go for it. I became successfully pregnant in the cycle straight after my second miscarriage.

Good luck!

You're not mad at all - as belgo has, lots of people have successful pregnancies after miscarrying... You also have to go with how YOU feel.

Good luck ttc again, I shall be hoping to see some good news for you in the future!

Thanks guys, its reassuring to read I'm not alone feeling this way. The good news stories are an insipration too!

I'm still swithering. I had deliberatly arranged some nights out during Feb/March to 'make the most' of my (red wine)time between pgs but the thought of delaying until April fills me with sadness and missed opportunities.

Part of me also thinks if I do fall pg Feb/March and mc it won't be as hard as waiting and falling pg Jun/July when more time has passed .

Anyway, enough of my rambling, thanks again and good luck ttc ephrinedaily!
