I am ashamed to be asking and not already know but when does implantation occur in a cycle?

Well after ovulation obviously - generally implantation can take place anything between three hours and seven days after the egg meets sperm and travels back to the uterus.

Thank you! I didn't realise it could be so quick. I had worked out it had to be after ovulation but couldn't quickly find out anything about implantation.

I am having rotten cramps tonight and wondered if it could be anything to do with our current cycle of TTC. I am 3/4 DPO and did the BDing on schedule. Just a bit curious really.

I think implantation happens only when the embryo has reached a certain number of cells at blastocyst stage - usually around 6-7 days past ovulation.

You know you are supposed to have the sperm there ready and waiting before ovulation in case they won't ask for directions (being male products and all ).

Well fingers crossed for you.

The men - they'd never ask for directions would they?

I've organised for an advance party to be dispatched with signposts and refreshment drinks for the 'a-team' ones to grab as they wriggle past.

I'm hoping the signposts were clear enough .. they were all lower case and in v big writing. If they fail maybe a sat nav will be in order .
