Any ideas? Can't get hold of gynae unit at hospital (who prescribed the Clomid) and am confused! This is the second cycle of 4 on Clomid this time round (did 6 cycles about a year ago) and have never had this before. Ov'd as expected on day 15 of last cycle.

Hi Nomore,

I am currently on my second month of Clomid. On the info sheet it says 'side effects can include spotting between periods'.

I am sure it is nothing to worry about, but probably a good idea to let you gynae know about it so that they can monitor you.

I had some bleeding mid cycle last month but nothing this month, just very achy ovaries(hope itmeans the drugs are working!)

Hopefully things will settle down again for you too.

Brown blood is often "old" blood. I hope you have managed to make contact with the gynae unit by now, they need to be informed of this development.

I hope as well you're being monitored whilst on clomid - no monitoring of any sort is a definate no-no.

BTW why have they given you another 4 cycles of clomid?. Thought they would have tried other methods by now.

Hi Attila - I'm on 4 mo of Clomid whilst waiting for another go at IVF - had 6 mo of Clomid then 1 go of IVF on NHS and am now waiting to save £££ for the next go.
I woke in the night with severe cramps and in the end phoned out of hours GP at 6am. Possible diagnosis of over stimulation or ectopic pg - unfortunately it has now been confirmed it is the latter
