Hi there, am very new to all this, still trying to work out all the acronmys etc! Have horribly irregular and long cycles so was thinking of getting a fertility monitor to help pinpoint ovulation, does anybody have any reccomendations?

Hi, you can save your money and temp/chart using only a cheap digital thermometer and the brilliant and FREE website www.fertilityfriends.com.

I was thinking of buying the Persona but did this instead and have learnt so much about my cycles. I conceived both dd's using this method and now use it 'in reverse' for contraception...don't laugh is does actually work!!!

Oh wow, thanks AnnasB, I´ll have a look at the website. I was just a bit worried about relying on temperature stuff as my cycle seems to be all over the place. Fingers crossed I can see some sort of pattern!

Hmm, wierd, just tried that website and can´t get on to it, could it be because I am in Argentina? Have you seen it recently?

another good place to start is the book "taking charge of your fertility" by Toni Weschler. It is really excellent and you will soon be able to spot exactly when you are ovulating - far more informative than persona etc which only cater for cycles upto 35days anyway I think.

Great, I´ll have a look for it when I get back to the UK - thanks for the suggestion.
