yesterday I got loads of ewcm and today a little. But yesterday opk had only faint line and today it is getting stronger so i suspect a positive will come tomorrow. Is the fertile time when the ewcm comes of the opk turns positive?

More when the fertile mucus is there- indicates the womb is open as it has lost its mucus plug, basically fertile time is really the few days before up until just after ovulation. Basically the egg is only viable for about 24 hours post ovulation before it dies. So what you want it loads and loads of sperm waiting at the start of the fallopian tube waiting to swim down. (How cool is that- they wait there til ovulation for the chemical trigger that orders them to swim down). So basically that is the trouble with TTC is needs to be lots of BDing from day six til 2-3 days post ovulation to maximise chances. If you wait for the temp spike that is usually too late.

I studied reproductive physiology at uni- wicked subject.
