Has anyone tried acupunture for fertility?
Did it work?
How long did you do it for?
I am just wondering if it will be a waste of my money!

Tried acupuncture...though not for fertility.

It hurt!

A friend of mine is doing this. She says it makes her feel less stressed, although no pregnancy yet (not sure how long she has being doing it, not that long, I don't think).I'm really hoping it works for her.

Contemplated acupuncture, but in the end I chose reflexology instead (relaxing & cheaper!). It worked for me.... booked a course of 6 sessions & was pregnant (after ttc for 1.5 yrs) by the 5th session

Have had acupuncture for a shoulder injury - didn't hurt & did the trick!

Go for it!

good to know saltcod I also have a shoulder injury. If nothing else I would live to walk around pain free.

Hi I had accupuncture - after 2 years of ttc started March this year and fell pg in the June!!
First month after accu periods went from 28 days to 38 days and bled for 9 days, then back to normal periods - it was like my body was clearing out - plus had no spotting for the other cycles, where as before would spot for a couple of days then period would arrive. Am now 14 weeks!
Good luck.... My accupuncturist was in West Byfleet, Surrey...is that near to you - £38 for 45-60 mins well worth it! Cheaper than IVF I said and it was - had booked ivf discussions in for this month - but cancelled them...

Morning

I have been having accupuncture to help fertility for the last 4 months, and although I am still not pregnant (mainly due to dp poor sperm)it has helped my periods become more regular, I have less pmt, and certainly helps me feel more relaxed. The lady I see is a specialist in fertility, and gives me so much advice about ttc outside of just accpuncture, I would definitely recommend her and accupunture.

Hi hope2be

I had been TTC for 9 months with great impatience and booked in to see Gerad Kite at the Kite clinic for a consultation. He took my 'pulses' and told me I had to come back that very afternoon for a treatment with a female colleague. Imagine my utter shock as she administered a perineal needle. I could not speak for the rest of the afternoon. We conceived my 7mo DS that very evening. Oddly it was day 21 of my cycle and I had a spontaneous peak on the Clearblue monitor the following morning. I was so sceptical whilst I was having the consultation - it felt a little airy fairy but there was no question that DS was conceived that same day. It could have been coincidence, mindset or physical but it worked for us. Good luck

I had acupuncture to help with conceiving #2. I had very irregular periods - up to 6 months between each one. After the 1st treatment I had excruciating low back pain that last for 4 days - on the 4th day I ovulated. We conceived literally at the 1st attempt. I also had treatment thoroughout pregnancy for morning sickness and to help "induce" labour. It worked really well - 2nd labour was 2.5hrs. Definately worth a try. I am so convinced it works I am beginning training as an acupuncturist in March!!

I had it, for anxiety following a miscarriage, and to help with fertility. I got pregnant between sessions 2 and 3 - don't know if it was directly as a result but it definitely really really helped with the anxiety so I am prepared to give it credit for the pregnancy! It seemed to trigger an early ovulation, interestingly...

I had my first session the other day, for anxiety and fertility. It's too soon for me to judge it but I feel positive about it. She spent a long time talking to me, asking me questions and building up my history. he needles didn't hurt, just felt a bit odd at first. Let us know how you get on, hope2be. xx

My Dota just started accu for fertility after 2 ivf attempts that ended in miscarriage. Really positive and praying to God that this is it.
