Ultra short AF - does this mean I'm not producing eggs?

I came off the pill end of May & since then have had four visits from AF, but each heavy on first day then basically nothing more. First 3 came exactly after 28 days & latest on Monday after 25 days. Started TTC in August, but no idea if I am actually in a cycle or not. Is there anyway I can tell if I'm actually producing "real" eggs of if I'm still just getting pill withdrawal bleed? This time felt more real - proper pains, sore boobs etc. & broke the 28 day cycle, which i suspect is pill-led - but still disappeared after 1 day.

And when do you start counting cd - the day AF arrives or the day it goes - although both are pretty much the same for me! Think i'm CD 3...

Am also on the older side (34) & have been on the pill for donkey's years so slightly concerned my eggs have waved a white flag & given up...

Any advice much appreciated.

(1) take a pregnancy tests, light bleeds can happen during early pregnancy.
(2) The day your period arrives is the first day of your CD.
(3) Again, take a test!

Period length is not indicative of fertility!

BC (before children) my periods were only 2 days long and I was definitely ovulating normally. I took the pill for 9 years and when I stopped I settled straight into a 28 day cycle and stayed that way for 13 months until I conceived.

Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler is a good read if you want to understand your cycle and maximise your chances.

I had one day periods after coming off the pill for the 13 months it took me to conceive. Had all the hormonal tests and they were just fine. As my dr said "are you really complaining about SHORT PERIODS?"

Thanks guys ... makes me feel much less worried about it.

And yeah, know I should be thankful for the short periods, will surely curse the long ones if they ever come

LOL I don't remember what periods are like it's been so long since I had one - going on for three years now thanks to the babies and breastfeeding hurrah!

I hope mine come back as one-dayers as they were 10 day spells of hell before!
