I may sound crazy - first response faint pink line

Hi all

Ok, I may sound crazy here, I think maybe I am. I need some advice of all you parents out there!

My soon to be DH (11days to go!!!) & I decided this month to start trying for a baby, I mean trying in the loosest terms, no ovulation calculations etc.

My last period was 30th July, last weekend we started on our mission, well, having lots of fun at least!

Now, I know it may sound totally crazy as at the most it was only 10days ago, but could I be pregnant?! It will be our second child, our DS being 4 this November. I just don't feel quite right, my breasts are extremely tender & I'm shattered - not helped by I have a tendency to get anaemic so take tablets to help.

This morning I couldn't take the weird feeling anymore so even though it's before the "6 days earlier" (i have random cycles occasionally though, but i make it possibly 12 days till my period ) that First Response early test claims I did a test. After 3-4 minutes a very faint pink second line appeared. It's is so very light though, almost as if you could miss it, but it's definately there.

Just after what anyone else thinks, what anyone else has experinced etc,in need of a bit of advice really.

Thanks!!

how many minutes should a first response test be read in?

would like to see your responses because I have just had a very faint line on the same tests. The line is faint but, like yourself, very there. I hope it is good news for us both

ues, it says to read it in no less than 3 mins, no more than 10 I think.. agh!!
Heverhoney, fingers crossed for us both, we'll have to keep each other updated!!
I'll be nicely surprised if I am, but there's been 2 tests, both within the time but faint.. I know i should wait a while before testing again, but it's so hard!!
With DS I knew very early & the nurse confirmed it, all before my period was due, not this early though. Just can't shake of the feeling, don't know what it is.. My friend has always said she's always known but I'd never really thought it was true before, now I'm wondering...

Kitty, Heverhoney, what was the result for you in the end? I've had exactly the same today and wondered whether you were indeed pregnant?

This happened to me (4 or 5 days before my period with a normal first response day of period test) and I thought I couldn't be pregnant. Next day I did a tesco test and a clearblue test and they were both positive and I have a little boy now. Good luck but I think you're pregnant!

my friend had this same thing happen to her so she went out and got the digital test and it came out positive! maybe you got preggo before you started "trying" good luck!!

Just had the same today - 2 first response tests and both with very faint second line. Am going to try again tomorrow morning - apparently the first pee of the day can contain more of the pregnancy hormone. Have a feeling am preggers though - burping, feeling sick, very tired. Some doubt though as the line was so faint and I did the test a week ago and it was negative. Might just get the clearblue digital one - you get a definite answer with that one apparently.

If you are certain the line is pink and not an indentation where the ink should be iyswim, then no matter how faint, it's positive.

On some tests (don't use FR so can't remember this one) there is a slight channel you can see in the window where the line appears. My friend who was recently ttc, for example, has regularly mistaken this for a line.
Not suggesting this is what you ladies are doing, but she could see whatever she wanted to see and her other friend and myself would have to double check.

Hi, just wanted to say, I was only 7 dpo or so but feeling very ill so I did a FR test. Nothing came up straight away so I put it to one side thinking it was far too early really.
I checked again after a few hours and there was a definite pink line there.

I am now 3 months pregnant.
Good luck!
